- 2:01Speaker 1: sure will. Good morning everybody. You a listened to the voice,
- 2:05Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey
- 2:08Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, man, Steve Harvey got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show. Trying to do something with it too, man. Uh.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You know, um, I was having a conversation the other day,
- 2:21Speaker 1: uh with a young person, and they were telling me
- 2:24Speaker 1: how they felt that their life was stuck, that their
- 2:27Speaker 1: life was in a rut, that they didn't know what
- 2:32Speaker 1: to do next. And one of the things that was
- 2:35Speaker 1: causing them, uh this sadness or this depression. I mean,
- 2:39Speaker 1: they're really really into something right now. One of the
- 2:42Speaker 1: things that was causing it, um, was the fact that
- 2:46Speaker 1: they had made a list of things they wanted to
- 2:50Speaker 1: accomplish by a certain age, and um that age they
- 2:57Speaker 1: just had a birthday recently, and UM they were looking
- 3:01Speaker 1: at the list and the list hadn't been fulfilled. And
- 3:08Speaker 1: because that list hadn't been fulfilled, UM, they were really
- 3:13Speaker 1: really sad about it. You know. UM one of the
- 3:17Speaker 1: things that they had on the list was marriage, kids,
- 3:23Speaker 1: And I don't know everything else that was on the list,
- 3:26Speaker 1: but that was one of them. And because she had
- 3:29Speaker 1: reached a certain age and she wasn't married, and she
- 3:32Speaker 1: didn't have the kids, and she had just celebrated her birthday,
- 3:36Speaker 1: she's gone into this uh mode of sadness whereas really
- 3:41Speaker 1: really taking a toll on and uh as as I
- 3:46Speaker 1: was learning about her situation, I was thinking about it,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and I just wanted to share this with you all
- 3:54Speaker 1: this morning that UM see, one of the things about
- 4:00Speaker 1: making a list about what you want, which I happened
- 4:02Speaker 1: to be a proponent of, I do it myself. I
- 4:05Speaker 1: have people have dream boards, I have a gold sheet
- 4:09Speaker 1: I have I've been doing it for years. It's it's
- 4:11Speaker 1: a it's a wonderful way, uh, to set goals and
- 4:15Speaker 1: to keep it in front of you as a constant reminder.
- 4:18Speaker 1: And I always go over this goal list every day,
- 4:21Speaker 1: you know, I mean I I go over it all
- 4:22Speaker 1: the time every day. Sometimes I miss a day here
- 4:25Speaker 1: and there, but but mostly every day I pulled my
- 4:28Speaker 1: gold sheet out and I look at it, I read it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: So I was going to these rallies and I was
- 4:33Speaker 1: learning about, you know, people who were successful in how
- 4:37Speaker 1: they kept their mind writing positive. And one of the
- 4:39Speaker 1: things I learned was to make these dream boards, these lists,
- 4:42Speaker 1: these gold sheets and um and making a gold sheet
- 4:47Speaker 1: and you make the sheet according to what you want.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Think about one thing when you made your gold sheet
- 4:54Speaker 1: about what you wanted? Does your goal sheet have on it?
- 4:58Speaker 1: What God wants form you? Did you ask in any
- 5:03Speaker 1: of this what was His will in your life? You know? Look, man,
- 5:07Speaker 1: what we want oftentimes is not what He wants for us.
- 5:12Speaker 1: And you know, if if you're fighting against what you
- 5:15Speaker 1: were created for, if you're fighting against his will, I mean,
- 5:20Speaker 1: what do you want to happen? See? Don't be so
- 5:24Speaker 1: hard on yourself when you look at your goal sheet
- 5:26Speaker 1: and you look at what you've not become what you
- 5:29Speaker 1: thought was a great idea. Don't be so hard on
- 5:32Speaker 1: yourself because you just made a minded mistake. As do
- 5:35Speaker 1: most people, We oftentimes make our goals and set our
- 5:38Speaker 1: goals up without ever considering what is it that God
- 5:41Speaker 1: wants from us, what's in his will? What's his plan
- 5:45Speaker 1: for us? You know, I was talking to some people
- 5:47Speaker 1: the other day and we were laughing about our shared
- 5:49Speaker 1: just the other day. If you want to make God laugh,
- 5:53Speaker 1: tell him your plan. How may it really? If you
- 5:56Speaker 1: really want to crack God up, tell him your plan. See,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and that's what we do. We make our plans without
- 6:03Speaker 1: including God. But listen to me. Don't be so hard
- 6:06Speaker 1: on yourself. Don't be so down and out about it
- 6:09Speaker 1: when you look at your gold sheet and you haven't
- 6:11Speaker 1: accomplished the things you wanted to accomplish. You just made
- 6:15Speaker 1: a mind a mistake, that's all, and you can correct it.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You just made a mistake that most people make. We
- 6:21Speaker 1: keep talking about what we want without ever finding out
- 6:24Speaker 1: or knowing what it is God wants for us. Well,
- 6:27Speaker 1: guess what, man, Maybe you're fighting against the grain. Maybe
- 6:30Speaker 1: you're just a salmon heading upstream. That's a tough fight upstream.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Not all salmons get up to the spawning grounds. You know,
- 6:37Speaker 1: some of them don't make it upstream, you know, but
- 6:40Speaker 1: all of them, nearly all of them except the ones
- 6:43Speaker 1: that's killed by pray. When they're spawned, they go out
- 6:45Speaker 1: to the ocean. That's cool, because you're going because you're
- 6:48Speaker 1: going with the grain. You're going downstream, you're going with
- 6:51Speaker 1: the flow. That's but but when it's time to go
- 6:54Speaker 1: against the grain, it's tough. And a lot of us
- 6:57Speaker 1: have just been going against the grain for all of
- 6:59Speaker 1: these years. But you know what, listen, man, I did it.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I know a lot of people who did it. Very
- 7:05Speaker 1: few people get it right from the very beginning. Man,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you got to stumble through life sometimes sometimes you got
- 7:12Speaker 1: to fall through life. You gotta make a lot of mistakes, man,
- 7:16Speaker 1: But these mistakes are not failures. You know, when you
- 7:18Speaker 1: fail at something, don't look at it as a failure.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Don't look at yourself as a failure. Because you're thirty
- 7:23Speaker 1: and and your goals ain't reach that you had on
- 7:26Speaker 1: your list, that was your list. What about the things
- 7:29Speaker 1: that's going right. Stop looking at what you're not, Take
- 7:33Speaker 1: some time out and thank God for what you are.
- 7:36Speaker 1: How about the fact that you keep waking up to
- 7:38Speaker 1: be thirty. You know you get depressed about these birthdays.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You really want to throw yourself in some depression. Miss
- 7:43Speaker 1: a birthday, You really got a problem. Now look at
- 7:47Speaker 1: where you are. You keep reaching birthdays. That's a glorious blessing.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You keep waking up. You got your health, You've accomplished something,
- 7:55Speaker 1: something on your list is done. People spend too much
- 7:58Speaker 1: time on the next ative side, and you're just throwing
- 8:01Speaker 1: yourself into depression. So what you want to be married
- 8:04Speaker 1: by a certain age and you wanted to have kids. Okay, cool,
- 8:07Speaker 1: you could have done all that with the wrong person.
- 8:09Speaker 1: There's a blessing in not being married to the wrong person.
- 8:13Speaker 1: There's a blessing in not having kids and nobody to
- 8:16Speaker 1: help you raise it. There's a blessing in that man
- 8:18Speaker 1: talking to somebody who can tell it to you. You
- 8:20Speaker 1: can marry the wrong person if you want to. I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: telling you you're gonna be up in some mess you
- 8:25Speaker 1: can't count on. So instead of being angry because you're
- 8:29Speaker 1: not married, you don't have kids, why don't you thank
- 8:31Speaker 1: God the man. Maybe he spared you from some misery here.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Maybe you could have married the wrong person, Maybe you
- 8:36Speaker 1: would have kids and you're not really ready to be
- 8:38Speaker 1: a mother or a father. You gotta look at the upside, man.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Quit looking at what you don't have. Take some time
- 8:44Speaker 1: to thank God for what you do have. When you
- 8:47Speaker 1: do that, you make more room for blessings to flow
- 8:49Speaker 1: into your life. I'm not saying how God thinks, because
- 8:53Speaker 1: I really don't know, but I'm telling you, if a
- 8:57Speaker 1: person comes to me and always give a person something
- 9:00Speaker 1: and they never appear grateful, or they never say thank you, please, no,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you can quit coming to me now, don't. I don't
- 9:08Speaker 1: know that's how God works because I've gone back to
- 9:10Speaker 1: him several times without being grateful of thanking him, and
- 9:14Speaker 1: he's filling my basket up again. So I really think
- 9:17Speaker 1: he's not like that. But I can't make the call
- 9:20Speaker 1: for sure, But I think at one point in time, me,
- 9:24Speaker 1: just just me talking, i'd be a little ticked off
- 9:27Speaker 1: at somebody who was always taken, taking, taking, and never
- 9:31Speaker 1: showing any gratitude. At one point in time, I would
- 9:34Speaker 1: just stop the flow of the take. You know, you
- 9:37Speaker 1: just you can't take no more from me. That's what
- 9:39Speaker 1: I would do. Now. I'm not calling it like that
- 9:42Speaker 1: because I ain't him, but I know he's merciful, he's
- 9:45Speaker 1: full of goodness, and here and then and he will
- 9:47Speaker 1: forgive you and and thank god he does that because
- 9:50Speaker 1: he's shown enough done it for me. But wow, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: take some time out today and be grateful for what
- 9:54Speaker 1: you have. Stop complaining about where you're not, and think
- 9:58Speaker 1: about where you are, and then take it from there.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And then next time you make a list, make sure
- 10:03Speaker 1: on that list you have God's will. What does he
- 10:06Speaker 1: want for you? God create givet everybody a gift and
- 10:09Speaker 1: a talent. Some of us never apply gifts and talents.
- 10:12Speaker 1: We head off in another direction. Then you wonder why
- 10:15Speaker 1: your life ain't were supposed to be. Have you ever
- 10:17Speaker 1: thought about what God gifted you to do? Have you
- 10:20Speaker 1: ever thought about doing that? And still skip what you want?
- 10:22Speaker 1: I wanted to play in the NBA, But I gotta
- 10:24Speaker 1: tell you something. At dribbling and shooting and running all
- 10:28Speaker 1: at one time throwing me off a little bit. You know,
- 10:31Speaker 1: they just so I'm doing what I do. It's pretty cool.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You can look at it that way. Okay, yeah, man,
- 10:37Speaker 1: that's the show this morning. Side, But I didn't get
- 10:39Speaker 1: to a song this morning, But it's cool. We'll work
- 10:41Speaker 1: on it. Okay, we come back. Man, I'm gonna tell
- 10:44Speaker 1: you right now today on today, more ignorant than usual. Yeah, yeah, today, man,
- 10:54Speaker 1: I wish I had a radio. You're listening to. It
- 11:00Speaker 1: is a gentleman, boards and girls, people from all around
- 11:03Speaker 1: the world. You are listening to the baddest morning showing
- 11:07Speaker 1: the land. This is the Steve Harvan Morning Show. It
- 11:10Speaker 1: is not a self proclaimed badest morning showing the land.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It's been talked about. If people tune in cause they
- 11:17Speaker 1: know it's true. M hm. The other morning shows know
- 11:21Speaker 1: it too. They listen, ladies and gentlemen, we is here. Oh,
- 11:29Speaker 1: they get him. Stay out of it. That's the stock.
- 11:34Speaker 1: You don't you don't. You don't try to come. That
- 11:37Speaker 1: was tough for me. Killed you keep going. Encourage you.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Eric Burnet posted this, If every black adult male in
- 11:48Speaker 1: the US bought and registered a semi automatic rifle tomorrow,
- 11:54Speaker 1: Congress would pass gun control laws by Friday. Keeping my
- 12:04Speaker 1: fad is the truth right there, m a terrorist attack
- 12:11Speaker 1: yet I don't know what you're not doing it. I
- 12:14Speaker 1: don't know. It's kind of odd. Domestic terrorists, domestic terrorism.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I don't know. Donald Trump is is the president. It's
- 12:23Speaker 1: quick to call it in other countries, but right here,
- 12:26Speaker 1: you know, health, what does he say? Oh he called
- 12:31Speaker 1: him a maniac, he called him evil. You know you
- 12:35Speaker 1: have been watching the news, huh. I've been on the
- 12:40Speaker 1: it's just been like, oh man, crazy, It's it's all.
- 12:44Speaker 1: It's just unbelievable. It's sad. Yeah, it's just so sad.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And now it's so you can't it's hot. You know
- 12:53Speaker 1: what everybody's grappling with. You can't make sense of it.
- 12:59Speaker 1: The why, the why? The more hit makes sense of
- 13:02Speaker 1: it on any level? Why? How come? What the hell? Who?
- 13:10Speaker 1: What happened? Why? He? Where? He? Who? He? Yeah? The
- 13:16Speaker 1: BI did he what he's there's no answers to none
- 13:21Speaker 1: of this. They didn't put his picturep I got home
- 13:24Speaker 1: late last night and I saw the picture of him
- 13:26Speaker 1: on the picture to shoot on seeing in. I was
- 13:28Speaker 1: just pissed. I was gonna look at this dude. Man. Yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 1: he doesn't fit any profile. He's way over the age
- 13:34Speaker 1: at six before you know, I mean, you think, do
- 13:38Speaker 1: you think anybody else is involved at all? But there's
- 13:40Speaker 1: they're they're investigating, they're investigating. But you know, we had
- 13:44Speaker 1: to check his computer, his phone records. What I've learned
- 13:48Speaker 1: hatred don't have an age demographic. No, no, no, it's
- 13:52Speaker 1: not demographic for hatred. I've seen old people who are
- 13:57Speaker 1: two steps away from hell steal Hayden with the evil
- 14:03Speaker 1: lowdown tail. Yeah, means amazing to me. You know, man,
- 14:09Speaker 1: we're fighting so hard to fit this guy into a profile,
- 14:13Speaker 1: but damn Yeah, every time I keep turning around, you
- 14:17Speaker 1: gotta add something to it. Now you're sixty last your man,
- 14:21Speaker 1: oh j fitted something when you win your hotel, live
- 14:23Speaker 1: with the gun way get his stuff back like you're
- 14:27Speaker 1: real gangster. All right. Uh, we gotta go to break
- 14:30Speaker 1: right here. But coming up next, Nevada voter has approved
- 14:32Speaker 1: a new gun control law. So why was it not enforced?
- 14:36Speaker 1: We'll talk about that when we come back at thirty
- 14:38Speaker 1: two after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:42Speaker 1: According to the Guardian dot com, guys in the state
- 14:45Speaker 1: of Nevada, voters approved a new gun control law that
- 14:49Speaker 1: would have required private sellers to conduct the same criminal
- 14:52Speaker 1: background check on buyers that licensed gun dealers already used
- 14:58Speaker 1: now before it was slated to go into a In fact,
- 15:00Speaker 1: the state's Republican Attorney general call the new law unenforceable.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Enforcing Nevada's new background check law may have not made
- 15:09Speaker 1: um any difference to how easily sixty four year old
- 15:12Speaker 1: Stephen Paddock, the perpetrator of Sunday's attack on the country
- 15:16Speaker 1: music festival, who was able to get dozens of guns.
- 15:19Speaker 1: The attack left at least we know now fifty nine
- 15:22Speaker 1: people and more than five hundred people injured in the
- 15:26Speaker 1: deadliest match. Some people are in critical conditions. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 1: oh yeah, so we don't. Yeah, this number could change hopefully, Yeah, yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 1: we hope it won't. For sure it's too hild yea yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 1: and higher because it was twenty two thousand people out there. What, Tommy,
- 15:48Speaker 1: do you think that this now is going to change,
- 15:52Speaker 1: like change how we fly? Well? Will will this change
- 15:57Speaker 1: like being in to try talked about? Some things are
- 16:06Speaker 1: going to be in place? But it what it will
- 16:08Speaker 1: not change? Ridiculously are the gun laws. Have you listened
- 16:14Speaker 1: to the political positioning that these politicians are taken every
- 16:18Speaker 1: Democratic screaming for gun laws. Some Republicans that said, how
- 16:23Speaker 1: dare you take this tragic event of these people lives
- 16:27Speaker 1: and try to politicize what Jesus man are we? So
- 16:33Speaker 1: these politicians sicken me with the spins they put on
- 16:37Speaker 1: everything to hold their position. How can you say, how
- 16:42Speaker 1: dare you take this tragic incident and try to politicize
- 16:46Speaker 1: it just to push gun but not now win. But
- 16:49Speaker 1: but don't understand that, Steve. I mean when in Orlando
- 16:53Speaker 1: Pulse Nightclub last before this, this was the mass shooting
- 17:02Speaker 1: in American history, that one in Orlando, the biggest one.
- 17:06Speaker 1: So now I talked about it, then we talked about
- 17:09Speaker 1: gun control then, and now here we are again and
- 17:13Speaker 1: they're saying not to talk about it. So when are
- 17:15Speaker 1: we gonna talk about how many people have to die
- 17:17Speaker 1: before we started talking questions? Okay, let let me let
- 17:21Speaker 1: me ask you how you feel on this if if
- 17:24Speaker 1: people have guns to protect their homes in case they
- 17:27Speaker 1: have a home invader, All right, everdently, this gentleman that
- 17:31Speaker 1: was upstairs shooting down had that evidently a r right
- 17:35Speaker 1: for is it? Is it? Is it certain guns that
- 17:39Speaker 1: they should take out? You know what I'm saying is okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, okay.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Let me give you my opinion the two different things.
- 17:48Speaker 1: First of all, I think a person should have the
- 17:50Speaker 1: right to have a gun in their house to protect
- 17:52Speaker 1: their homes. It's usually not fifty nine people breaking in
- 17:56Speaker 1: your house exactly, so you know it's it's usually the perpetrator,
- 18:02Speaker 1: and and and that can't result in a mass killing spree.
- 18:10Speaker 1: If a person breaks into another person house to do
- 18:14Speaker 1: them hard, a person got right to protect they they've
- 18:19Speaker 1: property and they family. I can't denfense in and let
- 18:22Speaker 1: you come up in and do what you want to
- 18:24Speaker 1: do my kids and my girl or anything like that.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So I do not have a problem with people having
- 18:30Speaker 1: guns in the home. Second Amendment right, right. But see
- 18:36Speaker 1: the problem that they have is they've extended the Second
- 18:40Speaker 1: Amendment right to where you can buy any kind of gun. Now,
- 18:45Speaker 1: why do you need a military rightful? What you look? Man?
- 18:53Speaker 1: You and then you know then they always tied together
- 18:56Speaker 1: with the hunting and bill and all like this right here.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You can't carry that out there, the no deal, no
- 19:01Speaker 1: a K forty seven because it's not a sport. They
- 19:04Speaker 1: don't stand a chance. If you can get all eighty
- 19:06Speaker 1: five round, ain't no deal left, shot him and he
- 19:12Speaker 1: lift off, you know what I mean? Bullets you're putting
- 19:14Speaker 1: it DEAs on the way on the way out. So
- 19:19Speaker 1: to wrap it up in hunting is dangerous. But you know,
- 19:23Speaker 1: why does a person need a silence? So we were
- 19:25Speaker 1: talking about this yesterday. They're trying to slide this bill
- 19:28Speaker 1: through to make purchasing a silence and easier going to
- 19:33Speaker 1: be quiet because you couldn't do something wrong. I'm speaking. Yeah, yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: but let's Steve, don't you agree if with the gun
- 19:42Speaker 1: control gun control laws, if they had these databases to
- 19:48Speaker 1: match up with what these gun dealers are doing, then
- 19:51Speaker 1: there's a flag raised with this bastard that bought all
- 19:56Speaker 1: these guns and kill people. They will have these databases
- 19:59Speaker 1: to say, wait a minute, there will be a flag.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Why is he buying this much ammo from this gun
- 20:04Speaker 1: dealership and this gun dealership? What is he doing with
- 20:07Speaker 1: all of this? Then he do that, Carla. He went
- 20:11Speaker 1: around two different gun shops and bought guns from different
- 20:15Speaker 1: dealers and things. And because he never did anything wrong,
- 20:19Speaker 1: these dealerships, I mean these dealers, they sold the guns
- 20:23Speaker 1: to him. You know what I'm saying. He wasn't on
- 20:24Speaker 1: a list or anything. But if those databases weren't together,
- 20:28Speaker 1: they could see his purchases, and that can easily be done.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That can easily be done. I don't understand why they
- 20:34Speaker 1: won't do something about this, and how many they won't
- 20:38Speaker 1: do it is because the n r A. The n
- 20:42Speaker 1: r A is the largest financial contributor to the Republican Party. Yes,
- 20:49Speaker 1: and their candidate one your Republican. One of your things
- 20:52Speaker 1: that you hold on to is the Second Amendment. That's
- 20:56Speaker 1: what you hang on to. So the n i A
- 20:59Speaker 1: is the big financial contributor to the Republican Party. Do
- 21:03Speaker 1: you know how many of these Republicans take funds from
- 21:06Speaker 1: lobbyists who keep that bell on the board, who take
- 21:09Speaker 1: money from the n I who puts money in their campaign.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And so now, man, if you go against them, they
- 21:17Speaker 1: bring you down by putting money behind your opponent, another
- 21:21Speaker 1: Republican in the next run, and then your political career
- 21:24Speaker 1: is over. So what makes me sick is these politicians
- 21:28Speaker 1: care more about their political career and they're standing and
- 21:32Speaker 1: their contributions to their campaign than they care about lives.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'm sorry, ain't know all the way to shake it?
- 21:37Speaker 1: Party over people, You're absolutely to shake it Canada. Is
- 21:43Speaker 1: the president the nura's candidate that they endorsed. Guys, we
- 21:49Speaker 1: gotta get out of here, nephew, we'll come back. And
- 21:53Speaker 1: and it's you know, we're gonna lighten things up a
- 21:55Speaker 1: little bit. Time for some laughter around here. Uh, nephew,
- 21:58Speaker 1: you're running that prank back is coming up next. Alright, alright, alright,
- 22:03Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 22:06Speaker 1: top of the hour, Miss and we'll be here with
- 22:09Speaker 1: national news with the latest on Las Vegas, on the
- 22:12Speaker 1: shooting investigation, how that's going and everything. And she'll give
- 22:15Speaker 1: us an update on Puerto Rico. But right now it's
- 22:18Speaker 1: time for the nephew. Please make a smile this morning. Nephew,
- 22:21Speaker 1: it is time for run that prank back. Let me
- 22:24Speaker 1: try to put a smile on your face. This right
- 22:26Speaker 1: here is guy Tour. This when one comedian prank another comedian,
- 22:31Speaker 1: especially about stealing jokes, that is something you never dooke
- 22:39Speaker 1: who he was mad? Yeah, I'm trying to I'm trying
- 22:47Speaker 1: to reach guy to her. Listen, this ain't out of
- 22:52Speaker 1: uh Dicata Georgia. Listen. I want to call you for
- 22:56Speaker 1: a sec. I got your number from over one of
- 22:58Speaker 1: the comedians and down here in Georgia. I got your
- 23:04Speaker 1: numbers through them at the clube. So I wonder how
- 23:08Speaker 1: let you about this here? Man? Or you know, I've
- 23:11Speaker 1: been in the game probably like or right like two
- 23:15Speaker 1: years now. I've been doing staying up and here lately.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You know, everybody telling me, you know that when I
- 23:23Speaker 1: get off stage, saying, hey, you know I've seen a
- 23:25Speaker 1: guy to do that, Joe, And I'm saying, what you say?
- 23:31Speaker 1: You telling you what I'm doing your jokes? Well, I mean,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm just telling you that's supposed to what's going. And
- 23:36Speaker 1: this ain't the first time I'm hearing it, you know,
- 23:39Speaker 1: every time I get out I'm here, Hey, God, Torrey's
- 23:43Speaker 1: your name again. This ain't out of theicator, man, But
- 23:49Speaker 1: I know that too. But what I'm saying here, you know,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm trying to come to you like a man and
- 23:54Speaker 1: tell you what I'm healing. You know what, dude, It's like,
- 24:00Speaker 1: come on, man, It's like it it's a premises or
- 24:02Speaker 1: what joke? What joke they're saying that I stole from you. Well,
- 24:05Speaker 1: I'm all thirty of my minutes that I do. They're saying,
- 24:08Speaker 1: you're doing I don't know, Well, what's all I'm doing?
- 24:11Speaker 1: I got? Do I do? I just throw them this
- 24:13Speaker 1: at my sleep man, That's all you got, oh dude.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But my understanding is you're doing, you know, damn near
- 24:19Speaker 1: my whole real team. You got, you got, you got
- 24:23Speaker 1: the wrong. First. First of all, you you got me
- 24:24Speaker 1: considered with somebody names. I don't steal jokes. I've been
- 24:27Speaker 1: in game fifteen years. I never stole a damn joke.
- 24:30Speaker 1: So I don't know. I don't know what people you
- 24:32Speaker 1: got telling you. You know every time you get off stage,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I'm doing a material. But do I do my own material?
- 24:36Speaker 1: Do I live my life? I tell my own story? Dude,
- 24:39Speaker 1: I don't know. Crap man. Look look man, look, I
- 24:42Speaker 1: ain't trying to get into it like this hill. All
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm saying is, if I find out you do one
- 24:48Speaker 1: mode of my hold on, hold on first of all,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you first of all hold on. First of all, you
- 24:53Speaker 1: ain't gonna curse at me, dude. I en cursed that
- 24:55Speaker 1: you yet, all right, so let me come at me
- 24:56Speaker 1: like that. First of all, you're in the game two
- 24:58Speaker 1: years doing. Come on, man, mine man, you look all
- 25:03Speaker 1: I know here people telling me that that you up
- 25:06Speaker 1: there doing. And you know I already know about you
- 25:08Speaker 1: your brother, and I left there that on. None of
- 25:11Speaker 1: that there phased me. I know he ain't gonna bring
- 25:14Speaker 1: my brother, I'm just saying, I know he little white
- 25:16Speaker 1: and all left them that be all like this. So
- 25:19Speaker 1: what you want to do? All right? All right, I'm
- 25:20Speaker 1: doing your jokes. If I'm doing your jokes, all right,
- 25:22Speaker 1: what you wanna do about it? There? If? Okay, So
- 25:24Speaker 1: I'm doing your jokes? What now? What? No? You ain't

- 25:31Speaker 1: I'm coming to I'm coming in l A. You know what,

- 26:05Speaker 1: bout you keep talking accusing me of stealing joke. That's
- 26:08Speaker 1: that dude, That dude, that's the worst thing you do
- 26:10Speaker 1: to a comedian is accusing of stilling your jokes, sting
- 26:13Speaker 1: in my jokes and the comedian is now it. I
- 26:16Speaker 1: don't know you, dude, everybody any TV show not now,
- 26:21Speaker 1: but how I'm doing your joke. I ain't never seen

- 26:26Speaker 1: you're playing on in the steff Foot there, Dude, say,
- 26:28Speaker 1: now you're trying to do disrespect my come up and
- 26:30Speaker 1: on how I'm trying to get where I'm going whatever, Man,
- 26:34Speaker 1: you set up somebody else. Okay. All I'm gonna say
- 26:36Speaker 1: is this right here when I see y'all, it's only

- 26:44Speaker 1: want you to do. Dude, Dude, you you're accusing my reputation. Dude,
- 26:47Speaker 1: that's worse than that. I mean, I know you got
- 26:49Speaker 1: some movies and stuff and then done the deaf James
- 26:53Speaker 1: not to do with it. They another Dude, I'm still
- 26:56Speaker 1: you get you get straight nothing out period. How about that.
- 27:00Speaker 1: All I'm saying is I'm gonna put the word. I
- 27:02Speaker 1: tell that guy Tor is stealing. Dame about your mouth.
- 27:06Speaker 1: You're skinning Dave Wine jokes, baby down what you're doing
- 27:09Speaker 1: that if you want to put it out that, if
- 27:11Speaker 1: you want to keep my name about your mouth mouth?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Didn't quit stealing my jokes? Whatever, dud, I ain't stolen.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I ain't gonna live abody jokes. Now you got me confused.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Don't put the St. Louis woman telling you really quick? Okay,
- 27:25Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'll tell you what is? You ain't me?
- 27:28Speaker 1: What else? What else have you about to say? Brother?
- 27:30Speaker 1: Just done? When we see telling, we're just going at it.
- 27:32Speaker 1: We ain't enough to be said quest saying my jokes?
- 27:35Speaker 1: You list shot that? Whatever? Man? All right? What do
- 27:39Speaker 1: you want your place? How about that? And that's sign

- 27:44Speaker 1: to tell you it's your me, but say it is
- 27:47Speaker 1: you're listening. I'm listening. I mean listen a long time
- 27:49Speaker 1: and you've been talking. That's a few time. And God,
- 27:52Speaker 1: tore from the Steve Harvey Martin show, you just buying roll?
- 28:00Speaker 1: Gave me I was driving that I pulled over? Man, God, dog,
- 28:15Speaker 1: I know the worst thing you could tell a comedian
- 28:18Speaker 1: is you didn't stole my joke? Dog, that's gunfire you
- 28:24Speaker 1: have me do? I pulled over? Man's good? What else?
- 28:35Speaker 1: And you know yourself? What is the baddest radio show
- 28:39Speaker 1: in the Land, Come on, man, Steve morn there's no
- 28:44Speaker 1: other players. God, I got you. I'm gonna get your
- 28:50Speaker 1: brother too. I got you, get man. Let me know
- 28:54Speaker 1: you got me because I was that is that's my
- 29:02Speaker 1: boy got to y'all. Yeah, yeah, you real man. When
- 29:12Speaker 1: we were on just here in Los Angeles, you guys
- 29:14Speaker 1: remember guy Tory would come on with us like every Wednesday,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and just I mean yeah, just he was so crazy
- 29:21Speaker 1: and funny, you know a guy. Sure. It was at
- 29:24Speaker 1: the comedy club every week, every week, that's the way.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Towards night he hosted that night. Yeah, he was funny
- 29:30Speaker 1: as heck, Tommy, we needed the last Yeah. How's the play?
- 29:36Speaker 1: I have to ask you every day? How's the play? Good?
- 29:39Speaker 1: Play is good? Tomorrow starts d C Thursday through Sunday
- 29:43Speaker 1: with the Wanna Theater. I'm excited. Mama's boy Johnny Giell
- 29:47Speaker 1: is excited because he at home. He in d C. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: that's when you come home. I wonder, Yeah, I would
- 29:55Speaker 1: see you. Yeah, the Obamama coming in there definitely, man
- 30:01Speaker 1: Or Jr. I know Johnny gill is at home. But
- 30:04Speaker 1: will Tommy still get a bigger applause than that's question? Well,
- 30:12Speaker 1: you know what. I'm gonna record both interests. I see,
- 30:15Speaker 1: so y'all can see who getting what it's right? Then
- 30:21Speaker 1: what I give you my word here this boy is
- 30:26Speaker 1: getting big in bigger ever city. Looking at it this way,
- 30:29Speaker 1: Junior at curtain, call everybody come out. Third a lace
- 30:34Speaker 1: is me then robbing then Johnny gil let go like that.
- 30:38Speaker 1: That's where I'm in the building. That's how all right. Well,
- 30:42Speaker 1: we'll make sure we come out and see you. Jean,
- 30:45Speaker 1: don't come out at all. Miss san is coming up
- 30:48Speaker 1: next with our national news. We'll be right back. You're
- 30:53Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, the world
- 30:57Speaker 1: is saddened by Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower
- 31:01Speaker 1: in Paris. They dimmed their lights in honor of the
- 31:03Speaker 1: lives lost. Uh. The European Union's Parliament held a moment
- 31:07Speaker 1: of silence to honor the victims. The Pope is also
- 31:11Speaker 1: praying for the people of Las Vegas. The Vatican as
- 31:14Speaker 1: has released a statement saying Pope France has commends the
- 31:17Speaker 1: efforts of police and emergency service personnel and offered his
- 31:21Speaker 1: spiritual closeness to all those affected by the tragedy. And
- 31:25Speaker 1: we here we have to echo that because those first responders, man,
- 31:30Speaker 1: they were on it. They were so professional and I
- 31:34Speaker 1: mean quick with it as well. Yes, absolutely, Steve, absolutely,
- 31:40Speaker 1: department personnel, everyone, Yes, the mayor, the governor, everyone, I mean,
- 31:49Speaker 1: very professional everything. It was something effective leadership. Yes, in
- 31:54Speaker 1: the city of Las Vegas and how they're handling, uh,
- 31:58Speaker 1: this this crisis, this tragedy, and they said we will
- 32:01Speaker 1: bounce back, you know, I mean you really saw the
- 32:04Speaker 1: people in the city coming together and yeah, in Las
- 32:08Speaker 1: Vegas and what it looked like to be unified and
- 32:10Speaker 1: people helping people and you know everything. It was an
- 32:15Speaker 1: amazing thing to see. That was the one silver lining
- 32:18Speaker 1: in this tragedy. To see that, and you know, it's
- 32:21Speaker 1: difficult to to look at now now we're starting to
- 32:25Speaker 1: see who the victims are. God to put a face
- 32:29Speaker 1: and really really sad. Really it just breaks your heart
- 32:35Speaker 1: all over again. It's so many people got shot. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, this is like, how do you
- 32:44Speaker 1: how do you get all of that into that hotel room?
- 32:47Speaker 1: How do you do that? Just just bags and bags
- 32:50Speaker 1: and luggage. You see, there's gonna be something's gonna happen
- 32:53Speaker 1: now with hotels because you know, Vegas is one city
- 32:57Speaker 1: that protects that city. Like you you rob a casino partner,
- 33:04Speaker 1: your chances are getting out of that. It is slim
- 33:07Speaker 1: to none. And because they understand that they got to
- 33:11Speaker 1: provide people a good time. That's why Vegas has things
- 33:14Speaker 1: in there for children to do, adults to do. But
- 33:17Speaker 1: it's an adult playground. They're going to make some adjustments.
- 33:22Speaker 1: At hotels, they're gonna put it in scanners things like that,
- 33:26Speaker 1: you know, bag scanners. You know what every bag has
- 33:29Speaker 1: to go through, you know, X ray machine or something
- 33:33Speaker 1: like that. Probably something's gonna happen. And they already have
- 33:37Speaker 1: like the most cameras you know in their hotels and
- 33:41Speaker 1: and and everywhere. So yeah, it's just gonna get you know,
- 33:44Speaker 1: if you're just bringing in bag after bag, got the bag,
- 33:47Speaker 1: especially if you drive in, you drive in, keep coming
- 33:52Speaker 1: with you, put your car in the garage. And I
- 33:55Speaker 1: don't know if this is what this guy did. I'm
- 33:57Speaker 1: just saying. And then you take two bad eggs up
- 34:00Speaker 1: to rights. Do you go to your car. You can
- 34:03Speaker 1: do it again. You bring two bags to you you know,
- 34:07Speaker 1: nothing looks suspicious, right, And not to mention, musicians do
- 34:10Speaker 1: it all the time. You know, there are people that
- 34:12Speaker 1: have a lot of bags who would suspect anything like this.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I remember at one of the press conferences Steve Um
- 34:20Speaker 1: with the sheriff out there. Some one of the reporters
- 34:23Speaker 1: asked him why how could you not have how could
- 34:26Speaker 1: why didn't you avoid this? Or how come you didn't
- 34:28Speaker 1: see this coming? He was like, how could you see
- 34:30Speaker 1: something like this coming? We didn't know this guy, We
- 34:34Speaker 1: we didn't know who he was. You know, how can
- 34:36Speaker 1: you how come you couldn't detect this? Sometimes they ask
- 34:41Speaker 1: some ridiculous questions of these people, like they have an
- 34:43Speaker 1: answer for you. How could this happen? Where did he
- 34:47Speaker 1: get the guns from? Because you all got no gun laws,
- 34:50Speaker 1: that's where he got from. How can he buy him
- 34:53Speaker 1: many because he had the money? Yeah? Yeah, his brother
- 34:58Speaker 1: said he was a multi millionaire. Yeah he was an
- 35:01Speaker 1: avid gambler. Yeah yeah. Lived in a very comfortable life,
- 35:08Speaker 1: so we had the money, had property, lived in a
- 35:10Speaker 1: retirement community. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Well that she's here. Folks,
- 35:20Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, our very own this and trip. Thank
- 35:24Speaker 1: you very much, everybody. This is a trip with the news. Okay,
- 35:27Speaker 1: let's get into it. The girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter
- 35:30Speaker 1: Stephen Paddock has returned from the Philippines and law enforcement
- 35:33Speaker 1: officers are anxious to speak to her since the motive
- 35:36Speaker 1: for the killings is still unknown. As you know, just
- 35:38Speaker 1: heard everybody discussing, and people don't know why he did it.
- 35:41Speaker 1: They didn't see it, they distant see it coming, so
- 35:43Speaker 1: they want to talk to her. Also, there's a report
- 35:45Speaker 1: that Paddock sent a hundred thousand dollars over to the
- 35:48Speaker 1: Philippines for the girlfriend while she was there. Meanwhile, the
- 35:51Speaker 1: death toll from the mass shooting has gone up by
- 35:54Speaker 1: one this morning, so including Paddock, who killed himself, the
- 35:57Speaker 1: official death toll is now sixty. President Trump is cheduled
- 36:00Speaker 1: to be in Vegas later on today. By the way,
- 36:02Speaker 1: authorities say that Paddock altered his semi automatic rifles to
- 36:05Speaker 1: shoot like fully automatic weapons, faster and NonStop. Sixty four
- 36:09Speaker 1: year old Stephen Paddock killed fifty nine people again his
- 36:12Speaker 1: self make sixty. He left over five hundred others injured,
- 36:15Speaker 1: some of them still in critical condition. Authorities say they
- 36:18Speaker 1: retrieved forty seven of his guns and rifles from the
- 36:21Speaker 1: hotel and from where he lived. He had two houses. Meanwhile,
- 36:24Speaker 1: Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan says there's no plan right
- 36:26Speaker 1: now to take any action on the bill that would
- 36:28Speaker 1: actually have eased regulations on guns that was gonna come
- 36:32Speaker 1: for a vote, no vote right now. By the way,
- 36:34Speaker 1: an executive at CBS fired after saying on a Facebook
- 36:37Speaker 1: page a quote if they wouldn't do anything when children
- 36:39Speaker 1: were murdered. She was referring to Sandy Hook, I have
- 36:42Speaker 1: no hope that the Repugs will ever do the right thing.
- 36:45Speaker 1: But then Haley Geffman Gold added this, I'm actually not
- 36:48Speaker 1: even sympathetic because country music fans are off from Republican
- 36:51Speaker 1: gun totors. CBS has now fired Miss Geffman Gold, saying
- 36:55Speaker 1: that her music, as expressed on social media are deeply
- 36:58Speaker 1: unacceptable to everyone they say at CBS. President Trump, so
- 37:01Speaker 1: the damage at the Hurricane Maria did to Puerto Rico
- 37:04Speaker 1: up close yesterday, after weeks of criticism, the Commander in
- 37:06Speaker 1: chief made a personal visit to the island. He talked
- 37:09Speaker 1: about what he had done, and he also compared things
- 37:12Speaker 1: to that to Katrina. What is your what is your
- 37:14Speaker 1: death count? As at this moment, seventh sixteen sixteen people certified,
- 37:19Speaker 1: sixteen people versus in the thousands. Uh, you can be
- 37:24Speaker 1: very proud of all of your people, all of our
- 37:26Speaker 1: people working together. He called the damage in in Katrina
- 37:31Speaker 1: a real cast catastrophe. By the way, that death tone
- 37:33Speaker 1: into Puerto Rico has now gone up to thirty four
- 37:37Speaker 1: and today's National Tucha Food Day and World Animal Day
- 37:40Speaker 1: e'en the Butterfly coming up tournaments after the hours. Stay
- 37:43Speaker 1: tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:46Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, come on, Steve introduced
- 37:50Speaker 1: the Butterfly. Please, ladies and gentlemen today, boys and girls. Eugene,
- 37:57Speaker 1: Oh you got you gotta put some special to me.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Listen to me. Just do your segment, okay, Jannathan Hill,
- 38:05Speaker 1: just do you set. That's all you get from me.
- 38:08Speaker 1: But it's so mean, you're wasting time. I'm not being mean.
- 38:10Speaker 1: I'm just not energetic about you. Okay, here we got one.
- 38:14Speaker 1: You don't see the point of your set your segment
- 38:18Speaker 1: many times Washington, d C. Get ready, Eugene. Antoine Ferguson
- 38:22Speaker 1: is coming to town. I will be there starting tomorrow
- 38:25Speaker 1: at the one of Theater. You do not want to
- 38:26Speaker 1: miss me Thursday through Sunday. Oh, my god, we have
- 38:30Speaker 1: um uh six incredible shows that you do not want
- 38:34Speaker 1: to miss. So I'm very excited and I want to
- 38:37Speaker 1: let you know as far as the applause at the
- 38:39Speaker 1: curtain call, it's gonna be in d C. So we're
- 38:43Speaker 1: assuming that Johnny gil being a native son, will get
- 38:46Speaker 1: a standing. Oh and all of that. Well, here's the problem.
- 38:49Speaker 1: The problem is this is that either I can come
- 38:52Speaker 1: out or time and can come out. Then the problem
- 38:54Speaker 1: is he never lets me come out and be a
- 38:56Speaker 1: part of the curtain call. He always wants to take
- 38:58Speaker 1: the vibe, so I don't get to come out and
- 38:59Speaker 1: take a about. If I was to come out and
- 39:01Speaker 1: take about then guess what then you would see somebody
- 39:05Speaker 1: That really is how in the ranks on getting the applause.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I promise you that. But I'm never allowed to come
- 39:10Speaker 1: out and take the bile. Why do you think I
- 39:14Speaker 1: have an idea? Why? Because Thomas is being selfish, That's
- 39:19Speaker 1: how I can come out. That's true, but you don't.
- 39:22Speaker 1: But Eugene, in all honesty, Tommy built this thing. He did.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Tommy built this thing. Man to be honest, and he
- 39:29Speaker 1: gets a lot of applause. Butterfly, I mean do you
- 39:32Speaker 1: think you would get for him? There would be no
- 39:35Speaker 1: but but but I'm glad you brought this up. Isn't
- 39:43Speaker 1: Frankenstein greater than the person that made him? We don't
- 39:46Speaker 1: even know the doctor that made him, you know, Franks.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Dr frankistaid, But I ain't Frankenstein greater than him. Nobody
- 39:55Speaker 1: liked Frankenstein either, So what the hell are you using?
- 39:58Speaker 1: A matter of fact, that's a great analy this right,
- 40:01Speaker 1: that nobody like Frankenstein either. It was creation. Yeah, people
- 40:07Speaker 1: would love see that, not na, Na, Why you don't
- 40:13Speaker 1: come out? He made a monster out of dead bodies,
- 40:17Speaker 1: made a monster out of a dead body. Once again,
- 40:21Speaker 1: not a diffic analogy, Eugene, But I'm not a dead
- 40:24Speaker 1: Wait yeah, thing you just you did just right? Didn't
- 40:30Speaker 1: nobody like franken Stein either? Can you withdraw my statement?
- 40:35Speaker 1: Said sat Court, And thank you so much for bringing
- 40:40Speaker 1: it up, man, because that really has cleared up a lot.
- 40:43Speaker 1: He I was thinking I was the only one didn't
- 40:45Speaker 1: care for you, But I don't nobody like Frankenstein, And
- 40:49Speaker 1: now you brought it up that doctor did his own.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Franker started calling you, gen, But I'm not a minster.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I really you really are man. You really are out tomorrow.

- 41:30Speaker 1: every week. You give us a subject because you guys
- 41:32Speaker 1: test our comedy ability. Put five subjects on the wheel.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Spind the wheel. Whdge stop, we will do the damn thing.
- 41:41Speaker 1: What you got? What you got? Right? Here we go.

- 42:02Speaker 1: no no, I don't take these personal. Don't take okay.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Number four you need to just cut the rest of
- 42:08Speaker 1: that hair on off playing like that one, all right?
- 42:15Speaker 1: And number five that's not a manly dog. That's not

- 43:17Speaker 1: much lip blow. When you eat a chicken leg and
- 43:20Speaker 1: take one bite but the rest of the leg is
- 43:22Speaker 1: pink all around the leg, Come on, man, you gotta
- 43:26Speaker 1: take some of that down. That's way too much liplove.
- 43:32Speaker 1: You got on too much lip bloss. If it looks
- 43:35Speaker 1: like slob you can't tail. You know you got on
- 43:45Speaker 1: too much lip bloss. When your lips is leaking on
- 43:49Speaker 1: the right, on the side and just dripping back one
- 43:56Speaker 1: time on so much red nipplock. What I open to know?

- 44:25Speaker 1: that's a lot of gloves. If you're talking and it
- 44:31Speaker 1: looked like somebody's flashes on, you know you got on
- 44:44Speaker 1: a lot of lip blow. When you open your mouth
- 44:46Speaker 1: you make a bubble, it's a lot of lip cloths.
- 44:51Speaker 1: That's a lot of I tell you right now, you
- 44:54Speaker 1: got on a lot of lip clothes. If I look

- 45:37Speaker 1: you got one? You know you wear too much? Livelof
- 45:45Speaker 1: if anything we said then pished you out and I'm
- 45:52Speaker 1: ont be a man. Yeah, why didn't tell them? Thatt me?

- 47:45Speaker 1: looking to display that I have not put on canvas yet,

- 48:13Speaker 1: said before, with our institute. Yeah, but I said, I
- 48:17Speaker 1: don't do that. That's not me. I mean, I hate
- 48:20Speaker 1: you know what, would you just calling folks up you
- 48:22Speaker 1: are solicited or something? I mean, y'all just randomly picking
- 48:24Speaker 1: out folks and trying to trying to get them to
- 48:26Speaker 1: model up man, sir, Mr. No, I'm not just randomly
- 48:31Speaker 1: calling people like I actually have done research in order
- 48:33Speaker 1: to get your number. What what I'm doing is, I'm
- 48:36Speaker 1: not calling you as far being a model that I'm
- 48:40Speaker 1: going to portray on canvas, but you have something far
- 48:43Speaker 1: more greater visually that I would like to hold on canvas.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Now you're married to your wife? Is at my correct
- 48:53Speaker 1: the whole whoa, whoa, whoa dob no for who is
- 48:56Speaker 1: this seriously? Because I can get my number of my number,

- 49:22Speaker 1: towards your wife. I want to I want to mortalize
- 49:25Speaker 1: her and capture her on canvas, the beauty that she beholds.

- 49:40Speaker 1: She she shops on a hundred and twenty street in
- 49:42Speaker 1: hall Im. I've seen her so many times there, and

- 49:50Speaker 1: a huge showing in May. You're welcome to come out
- 49:52Speaker 1: as well. There's gonna be so many important people there.

- 50:07Speaker 1: all right, so so, but I would like to let
- 50:10Speaker 1: you know I have taken the liberty myself. I have
- 50:14Speaker 1: painted your wife's head. What, Joe, you have lost your
- 50:19Speaker 1: damn mind. You can't be just walking around here painting
- 50:22Speaker 1: folks headed. You gotta get permission for that. What's wrong
- 50:25Speaker 1: with you? But if you are crazy? You don't understand
- 50:28Speaker 1: your wife holds the essence that every artist wants. You
- 50:31Speaker 1: don't care what he holds. You can't be going around
- 50:34Speaker 1: payton folks heads. Wrong with you, sir, That's the reason
- 50:38Speaker 1: why I'm calling trying to get permission from you. I, Sebastian,
- 50:42Speaker 1: want to put your wife on canvas because she holds
- 50:44Speaker 1: the essence that every artist wants to behold. She mortalized

- 54:00Speaker 1: love you. Let me get one more thing from you. Man,
- 54:06Speaker 1: what is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 54:10Speaker 1: show in the land. Yeah, man, it's Steve Harvey in
- 54:13Speaker 1: the Morning show. Baby. That is everybody. Hey, uh, don't
- 54:18Speaker 1: everybody need their wife painted naked? With your little artists
- 54:23Speaker 1: right there? See what you're getting ready to say? Nah?
- 54:27Speaker 1: See no, no, I've been I say, though, somebody gonna
- 54:32Speaker 1: fudge you up. One day I wanted to. I want
- 54:40Speaker 1: to get a close as our could. Everybody wife ought

- 54:48Speaker 1: got a wife right now? Can somebody paint her neck?
- 54:53Speaker 1: Ce you understand? So when you say everybody wife needs
- 54:56Speaker 1: to be painted, don't I asked him earlier when we
- 55:00Speaker 1: went to Paris, to the museum people. Did you know
- 55:04Speaker 1: any of them? No? Okay, look Angelic who is dead? Okay,
- 55:14Speaker 1: we gotta go. Coming up next, we have another strawberry
- 55:18Speaker 1: letter on chair. Ubs Tommy, we'll be back right after this.
- 55:24Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Today's strawberry
- 55:28Speaker 1: letter is on deck. But first Vegas go fund me
- 55:32Speaker 1: campaign there is one. It has a big celebrity donor
- 55:36Speaker 1: list like Celebrities like Mike Tyson are among the stars
- 55:40Speaker 1: dropping big cash into a fund to help the Vegas
- 55:43Speaker 1: victims and their families. To go fund me page set
- 55:46Speaker 1: up by the Clark County Commission Chair Steve cisilac Uh.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Several donations have poured in and the Oakland Raiders, who
- 55:54Speaker 1: will eventually move to the city. Vegas is also home
- 55:58Speaker 1: of the UFC and the headhun show. Dana White says
- 56:01Speaker 1: they will donate one million dollars to help the families
- 56:04Speaker 1: of the victims and tell me this is good news.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Huge thank you and a shout out to Uber for
- 56:10Speaker 1: offering rides to local hospitals as well as the family
- 56:14Speaker 1: reunification centers for free. They're doing this all for free.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Uber says it's also refunding all rights in Vegas that
- 56:22Speaker 1: were around and after the time of the shooting. So
- 56:25Speaker 1: thank you moment. Yeah, and Steve you know, Dana White. Uh,
- 56:35Speaker 1: they're donating big to the victims families. Yeah, thank you,
- 56:39Speaker 1: Mike Tyson. I mean this is just you know, people
- 56:41Speaker 1: are really stepping up and that's what you're seeing. You know,
- 56:46Speaker 1: it's a horrible, horrible, horrific tragedy. But on the other hand,
- 56:50Speaker 1: you know human nature and what people always step up. Yes,
- 56:59Speaker 1: we we need to step up in in in every
- 57:02Speaker 1: arena when we see people in dire need. Um, that's
- 57:07Speaker 1: just the nature of us as people. Basically, we just
- 57:12Speaker 1: have to care about one another equally. It has to
- 57:16Speaker 1: be equal, man. Every life has to matter. Every life
- 57:23Speaker 1: has to matter equally, irregardless, that's what you think. Every
- 57:29Speaker 1: life Because let me tell you, someone tragedy strikes somebody
- 57:33Speaker 1: somewhere hurting, real bad man. You may not care nothing
- 57:36Speaker 1: about the person, but somebody in the world are hurt.
- 57:39Speaker 1: You may not have never heard, never knew, never cross paths.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Somebody in a world a hurt man, a world a
- 57:48Speaker 1: hurt Every life matters, man. It's a shame that sometimes
- 57:53Speaker 1: people have to point that out that every life should matter.
- 57:58Speaker 1: But every life should matter, every single living person shouldn't
- 58:04Speaker 1: matter equally according to the Constitution. The military rights according
- 58:12Speaker 1: to the Constitution. Now you know biblically it's crystal clear.
- 58:19Speaker 1: But we who stand on that Bible claim that our
- 58:23Speaker 1: country is this. We got honor that Bible. And if
- 58:26Speaker 1: you want to go by the Constitution, just read the
- 58:28Speaker 1: real clothes. Every person has an available right to the
- 58:31Speaker 1: pursuit of happiness. A person should be able to go
- 58:34Speaker 1: to a country Western concert, yeah, and sit there and
- 58:37Speaker 1: not be executed man by some butthole who had the
- 58:44Speaker 1: right to go and buy many assault rifles as he wanted?
- 58:49Speaker 1: Who had the right and the ability by just showing
- 58:53Speaker 1: an I D walking in, he can do it. Get
- 58:58Speaker 1: them to people you need to talk to. If I
- 59:00Speaker 1: gotta hunt hunting rifle, I got you. I got that
- 59:03Speaker 1: hunting is a great sport. I got that. You want
- 59:06Speaker 1: to go to gun range and be a sharpshooter, I've
- 59:08Speaker 1: got that. You want to have a gun in your
- 59:11Speaker 1: home to protect your family, got I got that. I
- 59:15Speaker 1: got that. Yeah, but there's no need for us to
- 59:20Speaker 1: own miller terry weapon me, that's none And then you
- 59:26Speaker 1: go out and you do something like this. I'm sorry,
- 59:29Speaker 1: it just does It doesn't add up. Huh. Why do
- 59:34Speaker 1: they sell those type of rifles to people, That's a
- 59:39Speaker 1: big question. Well, they sell it to him because it's profitable. Yeah,
- 59:43Speaker 1: it's a great black market for all that. Nothing comes
- 59:47Speaker 1: in the way of profitability. Cast And then there's all
- 59:51Speaker 1: kinds of um you know, kids that you can buy
- 59:54Speaker 1: to put on guns, to make a more powerful you
- 59:57Speaker 1: know what directions tell you how to put them together,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff. It's all out there, you know,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: which is a shame because if this guy had a
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: backgame check, this guy had a background check. But if
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: they just match up these databases with background checking the purchases,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: he would not have been allowed to buy so any
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: But if you can't buy the damn gun, I'll give
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: damn about your background check. If you can't buy the
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: assault rightful, in the beginning, you couldn't. He couldn't have
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: killed that many people, you are correct, That's where we
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: got a problem. Yeah. Yeah, And the Republicans keep twisting
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: it man to make it look like you can't stop evil,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: but you can stop evil from owning a gun that
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: shoots und I really like what Hillary Clinton said yesterday
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: about standing up. It's time to stand up to the
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: n r A. It is time. Well they're not all right,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: buggle up, Hold on time. We got it for you
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: here it is subject should I confront my uncle. Good morning,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Stephen Crewe. I recently had to move back in with
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: my mother due to financial hardships. This time last year,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I was let go from my job because I stood
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: up for myself. I've been out of work for at
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: least seven months, which were the worst seven months of
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: my life. I have experienced hell on earth. As I said,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I lost my job, my car was stolen and recovered,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: only to be repossessed three months after I went back
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to work. I'm still going through some things. Like the
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: cliche goes, when it rains, it pours, my life had
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: literally been turned upside down. I recently had to go
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: move back in with my mom because in the process
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: of trying to catch up on the bills, I lost
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: my apartment. The good news is that I'm still alive.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: God has blessed me with the job, another car, and
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: now a place to live, which I am very thankful for.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: This is the reason I'm writing to you. Yesterday I
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: had a conversation with my mom about various things, and
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: it came up that my uncle stated that I was
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: an embarrassment to the family. Now, Steve, I'm gonna need
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: prayer and advice. First of all, I know my worth,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: but I'm not going to lie to you. Hearing that
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: hurt deeply. I've been called out of my name, but
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I've never been told that I was an embarrassment. Regardless
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: of what I'm going through, I know that I am
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: still and will always be a strong, black, independent woman.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I know that I'm going to come out of this
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: rut very soon. I will admit that I've had that
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: I've been careless with my finances, as we all have
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: been at some point. Steve, I'm vexed right now. How
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: can he fix his mouth to say someone is an
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: embarrassment when he is extra kids outside the marriage, and
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: he creeps on his wife, sleeps with the clients that
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: he serves. But yet I'm the family embarrassment. This man
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: walks around as if the family, if this family is
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: the Rockefellers of this city, don't nobody know us? Sorry,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I'm just a little upset. What would you do? What
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: would you do. Sincerely, I'll fight a man, even if
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: he is my uncle. After we'll be back Steve Harvey
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, ladies, coming in at about twenty minutes.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Indress Elba will be our special guest to talk about
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: his new movie The Mountain Between Us. I've seen it.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Who but first come on Steve. Your response to um
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Today's Strubberry letter, Part two? Yeah, interest is coming subject.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Should I confront my uncle? I think you should, Tommy.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Good morning, Stephen Crewe. I recently had to move back
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: in with my mother due to financial hardships. This time
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: last year, I was let go from my job because
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I stood up for myself. I've been out of work
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: for at least seven months, which would have worked seven
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: months of my life. I've experienced hell on Earth. As
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I said, I lost my job. My car was told
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: me covered only be repossessed three months after I went
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: back to work. I'm still going through some things. Like
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: the cliche goes, when the arrange it pulls, my life
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: had literally been turned upside down. I resently had to
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: move back in with my mom because of the process
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: of trying to catch up with the bills. I lost
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: my apartment the good news is that I'm still alive,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Goddess blessing with the job, another card, now a place
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to live in which I'm very thankful for. This is
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: the reason I'm writing to you. Yesterday had a conversation
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: with my mom about various things, and it came up
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: that my uncle stated that I was an embarrassment to
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the family. Now, Steve, I'm gonna need praying advice. First
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: of all, I know my worth, but I'm not going
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: to lie to you. Hearing that hurt deeply. I've been
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: called out of my name, but I've never been told
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: that I was an embarrassment. Regardless of what I'm going through,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I know that I'm still and always will be a strong, black,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: independent woman. I know that I'm going to come out
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: of this rud very soon. I will admit that I've
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: been careless with my finances as well as all of
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: us have been at some point. Steve, I'm vexed right now.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: How can he fix his mouth to say someone is
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: an embarrassment when he has extra kids outside the marriage,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and he creeps on his wife, and he sleeps with
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: the clients that he serves. But yet I'm a family embarrassment.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: This man walks around as if this family is the
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Rockefellers of this city. Don't nobody know us? Sorry, I'm
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: just a little upset. What would you do? Sincerely, I
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: fight a man, even if he is morong. I just say, dear,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I fight a man. I'll fight a man. Come on.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: You know, why are you letting your uncle get you
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: all twisted up like this? So what he said something
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: crazy to your mom about you? How is he? You know,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: like you said, his life is the one that's trifling
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: and embarrassing. Trust me, he knows that. Your letter is
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: filled with hope, is filled with self esteem on your part.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You know you're worth you said, you're strong and independent,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: So you know, tell your mom you don't want to
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: hear that anymore. Forget your crazy uncle. Concentrate on the
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: important things in your life. You know God has blessed you.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Just let this go. You've been through enough, keep it moving,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: move on. I know your answer is a little different
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: from that. Yeah, well, you know, because it's a couple
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: of things. You know. Um that, unless I'm a harp
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: on the beginning of the letter. In the end of
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the left, here's a big get into the letter. This
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: time last year. I was let go from my job
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: because I stood up for myself, stood up for myself.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: He's in that running your mouth, wouldn't you see that
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: what that means? That means she went off is what
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: that means. See, I stood up for myself. She told
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: somebody in a supervisory capacity what she wasn't gonna do
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: no more and what she was gonna do if she
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: keep talking to her crazy, I can see her now.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I'm just a little upset. What do you do? Sincerely?
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I fight a man even if he is this crazy
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: health of right here, the random I've lost her job now,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: she's been all out of work, can't pay or bill laws,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: apartment cart repro that move in with a mama. But
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: after all of this Christian talk, I will fight a
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: man even if he is my uncle. See a lot
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: ain't in the letter about why she having some of
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: these hard times. She that ran um out. She had
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: put herself in some of these positions. She tried to
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: let us know in the beginning that you know, I'll
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: admit that I have been careless with my finances, as
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: we all have been at some point. Okay, right, so
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: you've been just throwing money in the air. Ain't that
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: what you've been doing? Now, your uncle, they came along
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: and said you're an embarrassment to the family. Oh, now
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: you're mad. Now you're ready to go off on. Now
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you're fighting man, even the end your uncle. But here
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: is a way you can handle your uncle without violence.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: First of all, change your tongue. Listen to how I'm
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: talking now, and I want you to say all these
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: things to your uncle. But sam just in his ear.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: But what you're saying, and let him know it ain't
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: sexual at all, Uncle, and just say stuff to him,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: you who wish, and just walk off. He'll go. Next
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: time you see uncle, walk past him and say child support.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: These are words that make a man's stomach turn. I'm
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: telling you. Here's another one. You could say, Mama said
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you adopted? Is your uncle? Your mama would know? Yeah,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: tell he get in this ill. Your real daddy is white.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Just say something's uncle trying to hurt you. Let's hurt
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: uncle back. Your real daddy is white. That's some news.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: If you've been black this whole time, then go up
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: to him and just go d why your you just
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: said you're gonna jump all up? All right? Thank you?
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Steve but you know we have to go. You can
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: email us or or instagram us your thoughts on today's
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at my Girl shurely don't forget uh. This
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: week there will be no Strawberry Letter Live after show
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: because we will be in the Mohammas this week. But
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: we will resume next week and I'll let you know
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: everything and switching gears. President Trump, of course, visited Puerto
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Rico yesterday for the first time since Hurricane Maria devastated
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: that island last month. Trump's visit comes amid growing tensions
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: between the administration and local Puerto Rican officials, including San
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Juan Mayor Carmen Cruz, over the federal over the federal
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: government's relief efforts. Well, they met, they shook hands, because
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: he says she wasn't a good leader. Didn't he say that? Yeah,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: on Saturday exactly. Well, they met and they shook hands,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: and then they had a big meeting, you know, to
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: be so the President Trump could be briefed on what
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: was going no and everything. You take one the new one.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: She sat on one side, he sat on one side.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: So the war of words seems to have led to
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: an upticking donations, though to help the storm battered region,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: though there is still much work to be done, and
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: we all know that as of Sunday, more than half
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: of the islands, three point four million people did not
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: have access to drinking water and only five percent of
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: customers had power. All right, Coming up next at forty
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: one after the hour, ladies, get ready. As promised, Idris
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Elba will be here as our special guest. He's going
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: to tell us all about his brand new movie. It's
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: called The Mountain between Us. We'll be back. You're listening
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey, y'all, our squshed guests.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Is one of the ten hottest men on the planet
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: according to Essence magazine and Shirley and Carl. Yes, yes, yes,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: he is an outstanding actor. He's doing his thing now
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: as a DJ. But his most recent project is another
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: new film is called The Mountain between Us, and it's
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: joining us to tell us about it. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: put your hands together for my man, Mr Indris album. Well,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: thank you very much, Dus. It's great. It's great to
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: be on the show with you guys. Hey, man man,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: you're doing some great work. Listen to this The Mountain
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: between us. It's in theaters This Fried to Everybody October six,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: and it's starring you and Kate Winslet, and you two
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: are stranded after a tragic playing crash. Tell us a
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: little bit about the movie. It looks good. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: it's exactly that. You know, this is a simple story
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: between two people. It's a human story. And you know,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: we don't see too many human stories because everything is
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you know, heavily technical or heavy. But this is a
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: human story and that that's what really attracted me to it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: You know, I play a brain surgeon called Ben who's
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: basically flying to New York on a commercial flight's cancer
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: or and Kate character Alex, you know, charges a small plane.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I decided to get on that plane and well, lo
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: and behold, the pilot has a stroke and the plane
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: goes down and the rest is history. I mean, you know,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: it was a very attractive story to me because it
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: was simple. But you know, if I'm really honest, not
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: to get too deep, but you know, in this day
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: and age where you and I probably look at our
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: phones more than we look at each other, where you
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: have two strangers that are looking at each other for
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: survival and end up falling in love. But the idea
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: is that you have to trust the stranger. I think
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: that's a good theme for us to support into the world,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: especially in this day and age. I mean, it's you know,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: there's so much mistrust amongst each other at the moment,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: it's bonkers. And so I was really attracted to the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: idea that listen, you know, this is gonna explore themes
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: of love. It's going to explore themes of trust, mistrust,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: fear and how fear can take ahold of you. Plus
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: it I'd never get to make, you know, play movie
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: that are romantic. Most of my characters are, you know,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: sort of drama field roles, dramatic. But this was more
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: love and that's what we want to see. Well, here's
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: what I want to know about too, because this movie
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: you all in some pretty extreme elements. You're on a
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: snow covered mountain. Then what was that like shooting a
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: film like that because you actually had to be out there?
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I would take it. Yeah, yeah, you know the director Hanney,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: he I think he thought he was making a documentary
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: where he was like, don't tell him we filmed and
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: just get down out there and you know the truth
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: of the manage. He took us up to the mountains
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: and we was in Invermere, which is near the Rocky
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Mountains in Canada, and it was minus thirty eight degrees.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: I just wanted to just repeat myself, minus thirty eight.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't like the code. I'm tropical.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: We are tropical people by nature, like the heat. And
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I tried to get him to take this film to Jamaica.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: We could do it in Jamaica. Is the same thing.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: They got mountains, mountains, Brother, come on, crash, We're okay.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: But the truth is the honey was no, no, no, no.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: There's something about the cold that does something else to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: your mind. And he's very true. And minus thirty is
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: like literally being in space. You might as well just
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: be in space in a babing shoot and as exhilarating
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: as it was cold, but it did do something for
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: our performances, you know. Kate and I would look at
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: the scripts and mornings would go up into the mountains
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: in a helicopter, land on top of the mountain, look
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: at the script and say, actually, I don't think we
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: actually need to say these words. You can say it
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: with your eyes. You can say of your mind because
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: the elements the cold became the third character in the film.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Um it was, yeah, it's pretty, it's pretty out there.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I mean, you know, Honey really wanted us to suffer
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: on his almost set suffer. But I enjoyed it. I
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: enjoyed it, Steve, I enjoyed it. Just let me ask
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: this man, I you live in the life you dreamed of,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: man um almost what can I say? You know, when
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: you're a young actor, you look I used to look
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: at Denzil, I used to look at Wesley, you know.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: And I mean it's honestly, you know, when I was younger,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: those are my heroes. Those are the guys I wanted
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: to be like. And now that I'm in a position
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: where I'm working all the time, you know, in the
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: public eye, it's very different. It's very different from what
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I imagined. It's work. But to be celebrated is a
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: nice thing. I'm not gonna lie. But the truth is
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: it's a very you know, it's not what everyone thinks
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: it is, you know, celebrity and all of that for everybody. Really,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: it's really not for everybody. So honest of an answer,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: though you usually don't get an as honest of an
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: answer as he I mean, he's saying, it's very real
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: because you have to be careful what you ask because
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: it's just might give it to you. But listen, I
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: get to work in incredible places and I love acting.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: That's my that's my thing. I mean, the one to
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: do it since I was twelve and I'm forty five
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: now and I'm doing it. And you know what interests
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you know what I've described being famous as and a celebrity.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I describe it as living in a big, pretty prison.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: That's what it's like for me. Like he said, you
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: get to go to wonderful, incredible places. Yeah, but you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: can go there, but you've got to stay in a
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: restricted area. Yeah. You can't just venture out, man, you
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: can't just popping that stowing. I think it's gonna be
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: just okay. So for me, that's my best description of famous.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Very interesting. It's quite accurate. But you know, also it
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: is interesting, though, Steve. You know sometimes when you are

- 1:19:41Speaker 1: You know you really ought to be with me on that.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I'm like, what I have wings? Think about it, y'all,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: I'm sick of. I'm so sick of he walks walking

- 1:19:59Speaker 1: That's really problem? The queens and he ain't got no queens.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: It that. I'm just I'm just being as real as

- 1:20:44Speaker 1: I fished off here about sitting up there with no

- 1:20:51Speaker 1: got a little upset by this, Okay, I tell him.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: I say, the eighteen hour bra has a matching eighteen
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: hour penis to go with it. It's a set, right there.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Ain't the way they're gonna sell the top for eighteen
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: hour and lead a bottom out. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: It's a set. It's an eighteen They have eighteen hour
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: broth and eighteen hour pennis. Now, I don't know what
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: happened to nineteen hour, but I know it's a set.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: You know they burned up just gave me it's game. Yeah, Uh,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: they don't make no sense. Come on, because you can
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: wear them all day. Okay, Steve, you made your poe.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: You know you don't know what when I get through
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: with d drowns after the day. These things right here? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: I put mine in a hefty bag tied nodding, and
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: then the maids they just throw the whole trash bag
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: and washing the street. Don't even over the Yeah, what's
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: some business in the Yeah, I do. I get that
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: one call? Yeah, all right, all right. I told if
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a deer don't cross the street by the side, the
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: deal gonna get in trouble. What right deer crossing cross? Yeah,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: you got to come by the side. You can't be
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: further down the street doing that. Can ask you a question? Though,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: we're gonna walkoume to the deer to tell him even
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: better than the deal, even though that's a picture of him.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: You think the deal gonna stay here and take this ticket? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Where do a deal put put? Where do a deal
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: put the ticket? Yeah? Where you put your ticket and
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you throw it out when if you're mad enough and
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: it don't matter about where you put your ticket, you're
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: gonna get a ticket. If you don't cross by the
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: side and can't he see the sun if he's blinded
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: by the headlights. I mean, really, come on, Tommy, come on,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: all right, Tommy, you got that one too. That's too
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: he didn't get that one from me. This is your
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: here go your favorite. Just wanting to be your favorite
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: other day. I'm ready to hol it. Let's go. This
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: is going to be the favorite one other day. Tell
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: ignorant behind you got a person who is crossside better
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: at cross word pullsles than anybody. Baby, that's my favorite.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: N never lie to one more time. That person who
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: is cross side is better at cross word poses than anybody.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: You've been over there for two hours. Word on that
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: one word and they walk over and say they're living
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: down is simple. Can't walk over the nearly that's my clothing.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: That was my clothes. Carson, who is cross side is
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: better at better at cross word puzzles than anybody you're
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: listening to the stew Law enforcement officials are still gathering
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: information about the gunman who opened fire at the country
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: music festival in Vegas on Sunday night, killing at least
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: fifty nine people, wounding five hundred and twenty seven others.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Authorities identify the shooter. We now know him as Stephen
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: Stephen Craig Paddock. He's sixty four. He's an avid gambler
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: and a resident of Mesquite, Nevada, that's about eighty miles
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: from Las Vegas. Authorities say he had an arsenal of
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: weapons in his hotel room and his home about forty
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: two I think they counted so far. City religious and
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: public safety leaders joined mourners at various vigils in Las Vegas. Yesterday,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Donald Trump went to Puerto Rico and today he is
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: going to Las Vegas. When asked about gun control laws
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and things like that, the President said, we'll be talking
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: about gun laws as time goes by. And what does
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: that mean as goes by? Exactly? What does that mean?
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Kid goes by me? After a few more shooting? How
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: many people have to die? I don't understand. I mean
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: how many people die? To them is how much money
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: they need from the n r A. That's all it is.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: We can quit addressing this until we address that, because
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: they're not gonna give up the money that they get
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: from the n i A that helps them get into
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: office to save no damn life. Yeah. Period, The n
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: i A doesn't make contributions to Democrats because they are
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: afraid that Democrats won't uphold the Second Amendment. The Second
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Amendment needs amending. This constitution that we have has always
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: needed fixing because it was written at the time. You know,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: originally in the constitution, black people were three fifths of
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: a human being. We had women could not vote. So
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: now we've had to amend it along the way. It
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: needs amending again. And the Second Amendment is the one
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: that needs amending. But the people who manufacture guns and
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: their head, their mother organization and National Rifle Association is
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: not gonna let them loose Smith and Wesson, all the people. Man,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: they're not fit Barretta, they're not fitt Remington, they're nothing
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: to lose their money because you're over here losing your
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: life by more guns by moham oh, that's how we
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: make profit. You're coming there with gun laws. You're gonna
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: cut into our profit now until and the reason we're
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: not gonna let you cut it down profits because we
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: then't balked. We've bought the whole Republican Party with the
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Second Amendment. That's your promise, you will not vote against
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: the Second Amendment. We'll give you this campaign contribution. Why
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: don't they check into that. Yeah, see, that's all that is.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: It ain't it ain't nothing else. Until we deal with that,
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: we can quit crying. How is it that all the
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Democrats are willing to come up with a gun law
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: but all the Republicans ain't. How the hell is that?
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: Because a man has a right to protect his home, agreed, agreed, agreed,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: one thousand per cent. But you don't need to protect
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: it with an assault rightful. You don't need to protect
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: it with a damn hand garnaide and a silencer. Y'all
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: need a solacer and your ass don't need no napalm,
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: and you don't need to be able to make a
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: bomb to protect your house. Okay, cool now where we're at.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: See you're saying the n r A, it has this
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: kind of what dominant role in Republicans. They're the largest
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: financial contrition because of the money. Yeah, in the in
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: politics and Republican politics, they just dominating. Yes they are.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: They give more money than the Cooke brothers and they
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: have a lot of money, those coke boys. All right, listen,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: we'll be back right after this. Okay, you're listening to
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: the Steve show Well, the world is saddened by Empire,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: state building and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, they dimmed
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: their lights in honor of the lives lost. Uh. The
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: European Union's Parliament held a moment of silence to honor
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: the victims. The Pope is also praying for the people
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: of Las Vegas. The Vatican as has released a statement
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: saying Pope France has commends the efforts of police and
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: emergency service personnel and offered his spiritual closeness to all
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: those affected by the tragedy. And we here we have
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: to echo that because those first responders, man, they were
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: on it. They were so professional and I mean quick
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: with it as well. Yes, absolutely, Steve, Absolutely, the police,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: fire department, everybody, personnel everyone, Yes, the mayor, the governor, everyone,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: I mean very professional everything. It was something effective leadership. Yes,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: in the city of Las Vegas and how they're handling, uh,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: this this crisis, this tragedy, and they said we will
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: bounce back, you know, I mean you really saw the
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: people in the city coming together and yeah, in Las
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Vegas and what it looked like to be unified and
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: people helping people and you know, everything. It was an
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: amazing thing to see. That was the one silver lining
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: in this tragedy. And you know, it's difficult to to
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: look at now now we're starting to see who the
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: victims are. God to put a face and really really sad.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: Really it just breaks your heart all over again. It's
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: so many people got shot. Yeah, yeah, I'm telling you man,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: this is like, how do you get all of that
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: into that hotel room? How do you do that? Just
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: just bags and bags and luggy You see, there's gonna
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: be something's gonna happen now with hotels because you know,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: Vegas is one city that protects that city. You know,
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: like you you rob a casino partner, your chances are
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: getting out of that is slim to none. Because they
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: understand that they got to provide people a good time.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: That's why Vegas has things in there for children to do,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: adults to do, but it's an adult playground. They're going
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: to make some adjustments at hotels. They're gonna put in
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: scanners things like that, you know, bag scanners, you know
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: where every bag has to go through, you know X
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: ray machine or something like that. Probably something's gonna happen.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: And they already have like the most cameras you know,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: in their hotels and and and everywhere. So yeah, it's
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: just gonna get you know, if you're just bringing in
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: bag after bag after bag, especially if you drive in,
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: you drive in, keep coming with that, you put your
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: car in the garage. Yeah, and I don't know if
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: this was this guy did I'm just saying, And then
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: you take two bags up to your rights do you
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: go to your car? You can do it again, you
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: bring two bags to your room. You know, nothing looks suspicious, right,
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: and not to mention musicians to do it all the time.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: You know, there are people that have a lot of
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: bags who would suspect anything like this. I remember at
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: one of the press conferences Steve Um with the sheriff
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: out there. Some one of the reporters asked him, how
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: could why didn't you avoid this? Or how come you
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: didn't see this coming? He was like, how could you
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: see something like this coming? We didn't know this guy,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: We we didn't know who he was. You know, how
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: can you how come you couldn't detect this? Sometimes they
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: ask some ridiculous questions of these people, like they have
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: an answer for you, how could this happen? Where? Did
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: he get the girls from because y'all we got no
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: good law. Thank you, Steve. We'll be back with just
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: one more thing to close out the show. You're listening
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Here we go with
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: just one more thing, our last breakup the day. It's
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: been a rough week so far, but listen, we have
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: to hang in there. We have to pray, we have
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: to put God in our lives, like you say, Steve,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: and um, you know, we help when we can, help
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: when we can, and uh, you know, put some pressure
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: on our political leaders to change some of these gun laws.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: We need actions and uh, Steve. On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns,
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: I know, you know this failed to zero and four
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: by getting blown out at home by the Cincinnati Dangles.
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I know, I know. Just one more thing,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: I know, I know one Browns fan known as Kevin,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: decided to deal with the misery and give fans in
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: the stadium something to cheer about by running out into
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: the field. Of course, he was eventually tackled, arrested and
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: a scorehod yeah and escorted running in for touchdowns. But
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: we tacked, We tackled Kevin. Kevin. Kevin was escorted out
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: of the stadium. He was also fined and had his
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: season tickets revolt. Yeah. In order to soften the blow
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: of his stunts, some of his friends set up a
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: go fund Me page to help him bounce back. Because
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: he ran a hundred and sixteen yards unofficially before getting
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: tackled by the cops. He was the team's leading rusher.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: That's really bad. His buddies think he should be rewarded
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: for the effort. They also valid any money they get
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: above and beyond their goal will be used to throw
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: a tailgate party rooting against the Browns. No, see, I
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: ain't with that now. I don't pull against the Browns.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I know they're gonna lose. Yeah, we still got a
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: roof on. I was hopeful Sunday. You're hoping. You want
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: them to hire Colin Kaepernick? Anyone? Come on? Why not? Man,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: he can do the job. He's not gonna play for
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: the Canadian Football League, he said. Now, and the Browns
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: and already you know the way we on their knees,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: the cops coming out with us everything we are protest City,
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: come up in here with it. But they gave the
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Skinhead and the clans a license to protests in Cleveland
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: one time all the buses got flipped over. Cleveland is
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: not having bring it up here. See see what we do. Mhmm,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: win with it. You're not you're not. You're not protesting
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: on public squad. That's the that's right at the end
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: of the hood. No, you're not coming down here. I
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: bet I bet you won't come down here. Come up
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: that marching and see what happened. What a good thing.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: I think y'all gotta shot this week. Jets. They playing
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: the Jets. Yeah, but um who y'all playing playing the
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: city we got we got a problem. Yeah. Now that
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: to Sean Washington. Boys, you see him last sun clown man.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: I just wish it was a Super Bowl next year
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: in February Jr. Yes, sure, everybody be as close as
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: we get a look to win the Super Bowl. Last
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: doing his thing, Steve. Did you hear that he gave
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: his first patron He did to three cafeteria workers that
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: lost everything in Hurricane Harvey. That was like twenty nine
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: thousand dollars. They said, how he was raised, somebody helped
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: his family when he was coming up, and that he's
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: just giving like that good young man man I won't
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: be able to make the Super Bowl trip this year.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: We're you going to the Caymans? What the hell is
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: going on? We are you going to the Caymans when
