- 0:00Eventually he was fully possessed and he died 3 times.
- 0:02What do you mean? During his possession.
- 0:04That's the day I said never again.
- 0:05I'm not going back to church. Of course it's soul crushing and
- 0:07you don't know what to believe or how to process.
- 0:10He levitated off the couch while I was praying with.
- 0:12Him. You saw that?
- 0:13Yes. How far off the couch was he?
- 0:15Foot and a half like a puppet. It's not.
- 0:17The goal of the devil is make everybody possessed.
- 0:18His goal is to get everybody to go to hell.
- 0:21Do you think our Western society is more evil than it was 4050
- 0:25years ago? A. 100% because of things like.
- 0:30Hello guys, welcome back to the Lila Rose Show.
- 0:33I'm so glad that you're here. We're going to be sitting down
- 0:35today with Father Dan Rehill, who is a priest and an exorcist
- 0:38from the Diocese of Nashville. He shares his personal story
- 0:42about how he was deeply wounded actually by the church and ended
- 0:45up becoming not only a priest but an exorcist.
- 0:48His incredible story personally of forgiveness.
- 0:50He also shares about how to be battle ready for the spiritual
- 0:54battle that is unfolding around us.
- 0:56He actually has a podcast called Battle Ready and he talks about
- 0:59some of the most difficult things he's encountered as an
- 1:01exorcist, ways to spiritually protect ourselves and our loved
- 1:05ones and have hope. Also, you guys, did you know
- 1:08that 97% of the people who listen to this podcast are not
- 1:13officially subscribed? So please do not forget to hit
- 1:17that subscribe button. If you are listening right now
- 1:18on YouTube, you're watching hit the subscribe button and ring
- 1:21that notification bell. Father Danry Hill, thanks so
- 1:24much for joining the podcast. Well, I'm happy to be here,
- 1:26Lila. Thank you.
- 1:27You're amazing, thank you. But truly, I mean, the ministry
- 1:32that you're doing and I've, you know, I see from a distance its
- 1:36impact and we're going to hear more about that in today's
- 1:38interview. But you know, first with Michael
- 1:40Knowles, I know you just did another huge podcast in the last
- 1:42month with really millions of people engaging with what you're
- 1:45saying and it's incredibly powerful and helping, I think
- 1:48millions of souls. So thank you for your
- 1:50willingness to speak out about spiritual warfare and and your
- 1:52ministry. Thank you.
- 1:53Thank you very much. You know, years ago, we kept
- 1:56hearing about the New Evangelization.
- 1:58And I remember looking around at other seminarians and priests
- 2:02going, well, what is that? And nobody really knew.
- 2:05Like, it was like, it was talked about a lot, but nobody really
- 2:07put a thumb on the pulse and said, here's what it looks like.
- 2:11I think this is what it looks like because this is actually
- 2:14reaching a whole new generation of people who really weren't in
- 2:18tune with the church and they're what you have to go meet them
- 2:21where they are. I mean, that's what Christ did.
- 2:23That's what the apostles did. And I think with social media,
- 2:26with podcasts, with YouTube, as much as they can be irritating,
- 2:31annoying and sinful, they can actually be used for good as
- 2:34well. Amen.
- 2:35I hope so. That's what we're trying to do
- 2:37here. You are.
- 2:38You are an exorcist. And we were just talking before
- 2:41we sat down about how even just in the last few years, exorcist
- 2:45coming out and sharing about their ministry was not common.
- 2:50And in fact, they were kind of secretive and hidden within
- 2:53dioceses. There would be priests in a
- 2:54diocese, you know, certain geographic part of the church
- 2:57where people wouldn't even know who the exorcist was.
- 2:59It was kind of hush, hush. Now, you yourself, we've had a
- 3:03couple other exorcist on the show over the last, you know,
- 3:05almost two years now. And there's other folks that are
- 3:08coming out and sharing about what it means to combat the
- 3:11devil and. You know what's?
- 3:14Your take on why this is happening more You know why?
- 3:17Why there's more of this happening as opposed to that
- 3:19more quiet approach from just a few years ago?
- 3:21Well, honestly, back around 2000, the year 2000, I was still
- 3:29living in New York and found the Benedict Rochelle was directing
- 3:31me and he told me something very interesting, he said.
- 3:34You know, because I mentioned something about the, you know,
- 3:37the evil that was going on even in the church.
- 3:39And I said, you know what? What's your take on all this?
- 3:42And he says there's only 18 exorcists in the country.
- 3:46Imagine that in 25 years ago, he said there's about 18 exorcists
- 3:50in this whole country. He says we really need more like
- 3:531000, more like the Canon lawyer numbers, like 2500 Canon
- 3:56lawyers. But, but until that shifts or
- 4:00the culture shifts back to God, there's a problem here.
- 4:02So first of all, there weren't very many of them.
- 4:05The ones that we had, the church had always said it's better to
- 4:08stay hidden even from the, their own presbyterate that didn't
- 4:11know where they were. So you'd call the Chancery, the
- 4:13chancellor would notify the excess, the excess would go
- 4:16directly to the, the, the victimized subject.
- 4:20But in the last 10 years or so, there's actually organized
- 4:25meetings of exorcist. So we have conferences where we
- 4:27get together to share what's going on in our regions.
- 4:29If there's something new we should know about and share with
- 4:32other other exorcists and just trends that are happening from
- 4:37those meetings, you know, we started talking and I remember a
- 4:41few people had mentioned to me, like Father Vince Lampert and
- 4:43Monsignor Rosetti, that said we it would be better to be
- 4:48teaching the general public what to be aware of, not to be
- 4:53highlighting what the devil's doing.
- 4:55We don't want to give him any glory, but we can just teach
- 4:57spiritual warfare and start letting people know you should
- 5:01be aware of these things. These are dangerous.
- 5:03Like if you had a little child, don't, don't reach up on the
- 5:05stove. If the flame is there, it's hot.
- 5:07You can get hurt. So similarly in the spiritual
- 5:10life, we wanted to start getting out there to do that and to do,
- 5:13you can't do it anonymously. Nobody's going to give you any.
- 5:16Follow somebody who's hidden behind a mask and say, I hope
- 5:19he's telling the truth. So you have to become more
- 5:21public with it. But in the process, there were,
- 5:24you know, certain bishops were OK with it.
- 5:27This is what started happening. And and now today, I find many
- 5:30people are reaching back to us to let us know.
- 5:32Wow, didn't know that was a problem.
- 5:35But now that I look at what you talked about or even with the
- 5:38Exodus files that Father Carlos was producing, people are
- 5:42learning from real life scenarios.
- 5:45This is a danger. Please don't do it.
- 5:48You said 20, so there was Father Benedict Rochelle.
- 5:50You said 25 years ago told you there were just 18 exorcist in
- 5:54all of the United States. That's crazy.
- 5:56How many do you think there are now?
- 5:58Any sense? Hard to say.
- 6:00There's still diocese that don't have any.
- 6:02And the Vatican did mandate every diocese must have an
- 6:04exorcist, but there are reluctant bishops who are not
- 6:08doing it. I know in New York I had a woman
- 6:11reach out that said can I fly to you because my diocese doesn't
- 6:14have one. She was.
- 6:16Experiencing depression, demonic oppression, or what was she?
- 6:19Facing combination, she was borderline possessed and she had
- 6:24lost her job. She couldn't function.
- 6:26And her own diocese said we don't have anybody to help you.
- 6:29And she says I'm willing to fly there to do it.
- 6:33And I said, you know, I don't know if that's a good idea
- 6:35because it's like, it's not a one and done.
- 6:37I can't promise you I can do anything with just a day.
- 6:42Perhaps a bordering diocese, you could cross over to the next
- 6:45diocese and they could help you. But it's happening more and more
- 6:49and then when people find out about you, they think, well, I
- 6:52guess this is where I have to go.
- 6:54I had a gentleman show up two months ago who drove 18 hours
- 6:58without an appointment and just landed at the parish.
- 7:02It was Saturday night. I just finished the visual Mass
- 7:05and the was going down to the social hall to bless a meal for
- 7:09the nights or some function that was going on.
- 7:11And I didn't even know he was there.
- 7:12But the Deacon was talking to him and said, you know, well,
- 7:14Father's kind of tied up right now.
- 7:16What can I help you with? And he says, well, I really need
- 7:18to talk to him. And he said, if you're serious,
- 7:21you know, you know, maybe stay for a Mass in the morning and
- 7:24after tomorrow morning's Mass, he can talk to.
- 7:26And he did. And it was an interesting story
- 7:29because he wanted to come into the church.
- 7:31He didn't have any religion in his life.
- 7:33And he was working for, he said, an agency, government agency.
- 7:38And I said, well, this is not. You didn't have to drive here.
- 7:41You can go to your local parish, talk to the pastor, asked to be
- 7:45enrolled into the formation, to become a Catholic.
- 7:49He said, honestly, Father, I'm never at home ever.
- 7:54Every week I'm on a new assignment.
- 7:56Sometimes in other states, sometimes in other countries.
- 7:59It's that kind of job. And I said, so as it all shook
- 8:04out, we were able to help him in one way or another.
- 8:06But you know, that's also something that happens.
- 8:10You know, people will just come and, and what can you do?
- 8:12You have to at least try to help them because they've made the
- 8:15journey. So in that case he wasn't the
- 8:19facing demonic oppression or possession, it was more just he
- 8:22wanted the faith. Yes, he he believed his life was
- 8:27in danger and we believed him too.
- 8:30And so that day he was baptized and confirmed.
- 8:33Why did he think his life was in danger?
- 8:35It's a, it's a tricky story that I can't make public, but he had
- 8:40uncovered a child sex trafficking ring in his, this is
- 8:45part of his job. He's working for this agency,
- 8:48one of our government agents that does that.
- 8:50And it got, he got shot at twice.
- 8:53His vest saved him, but he thought there was a hit on him
- 8:57and he was now leaving the country for at least six months
- 9:01to try to, you know, evade them. So we took it as a credible
- 9:05threat and we, we brought him into the church.
- 9:07I gave him a Bible. I gave him a catechism, A
- 9:11rosary, how to pray the rosary. We spent about two hours with
- 9:15him. And so he, we sent him on his
- 9:17way. We never took any exchanged
- 9:22information. He thought that was unsafe for
- 9:24us. And I never heard back from him.
- 9:27But that day, he was given the faith.
- 9:30And this was just. A couple of months ago.
- 9:32A couple months ago you you must have a pretty, not just crazy
- 9:38schedule, but a lot of crazy encounters like that one.
- 9:42It's not an ordinary life by any stretch, which is kind of
- 9:47interesting because when I left my life as a banker, which was a
- 9:53crazy life, and I thought I'm going to be a priest, it's going
- 9:56to be a mild, tame existence. It, it's nothing.
- 10:01It, it's a good life. It's and it's a wonderful life,
- 10:04but it is nothing like what I thought it would be.
- 10:06That makes any sense? So you were a banker before
- 10:10becoming a priest. Can you Share your story?
- 10:12And I, I, we're obviously going to explore your ministry now,
- 10:15but you have a really fascinating story about before,
- 10:19before the priesthood of your life and then your conversion.
- 10:22I'd love to hear about your background.
- 10:24Yeah, so when I tell this story, it's kind of funny for people
- 10:29because I grew, I was born in 65 New York, grew up as a teenager
- 10:36in the 70s and then young adult in the 80s.
- 10:40So when I was growing up, there was this guy, new guy on the
- 10:44scene in New York City who was like kind of this flash in the
- 10:46pan and building all these big buildings and every he was like
- 10:49the the toast of New York. And so I wanted to be Donald
- 10:52Trump today. People think I'm crazy, but back
- 10:56then, everybody liked him. There was nobody that was
- 10:58against Trump back then. Did you know that up to 90% of
- 11:01the meat in your grocery store is not from the United States?
- 11:04It might say USA on the label, but it's not actually from
- 11:07American ranchers. It's imported and packaged in

- 12:01year, but you will get $25 off your first order as well as fast
- 12:06free shipping. That's goodranchers.com American
- 12:08meat delivered and. Everybody liked him.
- 12:11There was nobody that was against Trump back then.
- 12:14And he was fixing things and making the city better.
- 12:17And he just had that very glamorous life that was
- 12:20appealing to, you know, young people in that period.
- 12:24Anyway, so I went off to college.
- 12:27I had left the faith as a child because I was molested by a
- 12:30priest. And I vowed never to go back to
- 12:32a church. And then after I graduated, I
- 12:36moved into New York City, started the career on Wall
- 12:39Street, did that for about 12 years.
- 12:44And then after that, 911, I was forced out of the city literally
- 12:48because my apartment was five blocks from the Trade Center.
- 12:50They closed lower in Manhattan. I went up going up to Boston,
- 12:54living with a priest up there. This is post conversion.
- 12:57So in 98 I went to Majigoria and sort of accidentally and had
- 13:05this complete reversion and just completely changed my life.
- 13:11Came back to New York and immediately started going to
- 13:15daily mass confession on a monthly basis.
- 13:18Join the Wall Street Young Catholic Association, wearing
- 13:22the rosary every day, walking into and from work.
- 13:26Within three months, I was literally a daily communicant
- 13:31where I was heathen just, you know, three weeks before.
- 13:35So that was the impetus to come back.
- 13:39And then I wound up getting a spiritual director at the church
- 13:44where he actually said I would need 1.
- 13:46And I didn't know why, but he said you're going to need one.
- 13:49And he said, I want you to start praying every day asking the
- 13:52Lord if he wants you to do something different with your
- 13:54life. So OK.
- 13:57And I did that. And after 18 months, on November
- 14:005th of 2000, a voice said to me, come follow me right after
- 14:04communion audibly like we're hearing.
- 14:06And I looked around, there was nobody near me.
- 14:09And I realized, oh, it's it's you.
- 14:10You're finally speaking to me. And so the next day I called in
- 14:14sick to pray about it. Then the following day I
- 14:16resigned and that was the beginning of looking for the
- 14:19path to priesthood. So it's kind of an odd
- 14:22conversion story, not the normal path.
- 14:25I remember when I went to seminar to ask people to how did
- 14:27you know you were called? And a lot of them are like,
- 14:29well, I don't know, I'm called. That's why I'm here to discern
- 14:32that. And I started thinking, well,
- 14:34why did why did I get such a clear call?
- 14:37And I think the reason that happened is because my path was
- 14:42so difficult. You know, most guys go in four
- 14:46years, four to six years later, they're ordained.
- 14:48I was with three different classes that all got ordained
- 14:50and I kept getting bumped or kicked out.
- 14:54From seminary. Yeah, or diocese.
- 14:57Why were they? Why did that happen?
- 14:58You got bumped or kicked out when you were trying to become.
- 15:01A priest? Well, my order, I was with a
- 15:03religious order for five years. They put me up for a candidacy
- 15:07to become a seminarian. And then you have to interview
- 15:09with the with the vocation director of the diocese and
- 15:11diocese Omaha vocation director chose everybody.
- 15:14There's three of us. You 2 are approved.
- 15:17And this guy is not called to be a priest.
- 15:19My own diocese where I grew up, I went in to the interview with
- 15:22that priest, didn't know who the vocational director was.
- 15:27I didn't know anything. You know, I've been away for a
- 15:29while. So I walked in the cold and the
- 15:32secretary said, no, he's in, you can go see him.
- 15:34And when I walked into his office, it was the priest that
- 15:36had married me. I was married for five years.
- 15:39And he looked at me and said, no, no, no, no, we're not.
- 15:41You're not called to priesthood for sure.
- 15:44And go away. Then I, we eventually made it to
- 15:48the Diocese of Paterson. That picked me up.
- 15:50Paterson, NJ, after a year and a half, got a new vocation
- 15:53director and he cut everybody over 40.
- 15:55I was over 40, the five of us, and said, Nope, you're not
- 15:58called. So it just kept happening.
- 16:00And I think if I had not known that I knew that I knew that
- 16:05Jesus called me, I would have given up.
- 16:08But I knew. So I just kept saying, OK, Lord,
- 16:11what's the next? Where's the next path?
- 16:12Open a door. And that door eventually came
- 16:16through the Bishop of Nashville, who heard about me and flew me
- 16:19in and interviewed me. He actually put me up in his
- 16:23home for a week. This is so unusual because in
- 16:26the Northeast, the bishops really don't even for many of
- 16:29them, don't know they're seminarians.
- 16:30So you meet with them once a year for 15 minutes.
- 16:33They have the file open on the desk so they know who you are.
- 16:35Oh, Daniel. Rachel, how is it going?
- 16:38Going Good. OK.
- 16:39Any problems? No.
- 16:40OK. Well, have keep going.
- 16:42And that's your relationship. Because they're they're too
- 16:44busy. Not everybody.
- 16:47But that's that was my experience.
- 16:50So the fact that this Bishop took me into his home and he
- 16:54cooked me breakfast every morning.
- 16:56I drove him to his appointments every day.
- 16:58And then he would take me to whatever events he had planned
- 17:02on his calendar that night. And at the end of the day, we'd
- 17:04sit on his deck and talk about all the relevant topics under
- 17:08the sun, Commitment, sacrifice, marriage, love, fidelity,
- 17:13priesthood. And after a week, he said, you
- 17:16know, I like you. I think you should.
- 17:19You'd be a good priest here, you know, will you come here?
- 17:21And I said, yeah, I'm going to. I'd love to.
- 17:24And it was such a different experience because he was such a
- 17:27father, like he was being a true father and just let he wanted to
- 17:32get to know who the real me was. How did the Bishop of Nashville
- 17:36do you know his story of how he knew about you and how he felt a
- 17:40sense of calling to reach out to you?
- 17:41It sounds like he hadn't even met you yet.
- 17:43He hadn't and brought you in his home and made you the priest
- 17:46that you believe God was calling you to be.
- 17:48God was calling you to be after like I don't know how many years
- 17:52it was at that point of. All starts the last time, the
- 17:55last place that dumped me was Patterson.
- 17:57And at that point, even though I trusted God, I was a little
- 18:01frustrated. And I said the rocket went back
- 18:04to the seminary that I began at and was good friends with the
- 18:07rector. And I said, can you float my
- 18:09name out there with any other bishops?
- 18:11And he came back and said you're they're kind of too old.
- 18:15You're too old and a New York banker is not what they're
- 18:19looking for. So like, I think, you know, this
- 18:22has run its path. So I said to the Lord, you know,
- 18:25I, I don't know what I misunderstood here, but you
- 18:29know, this is your vocation that if you want to give it to me,
- 18:32I'm happy to live it. But if, if you change your mind,
- 18:35that's OK too. So I'm giving it back to you.
- 18:39If you want me, have a Bishop call me.
- 18:42So you asked the Lord. That specifically thinking
- 18:46that's never going to happen because bishops don't do that.
- 18:49About four months later is when the phone call came in.
- 18:51And how did it happen? Well, it's funny when he called,
- 18:53I initially because he has a heavy Southern accent.
- 18:56And I answered the phone and he said, you know, hello, is this
- 18:58Daniel Rihill? And I said, yes.
- 19:01And I go, who's this? And he said, this is Bishop
- 19:03David Chobi. And I said, OK, who are you?
- 19:08And he, some of the Bishop of Nashville.
- 19:10And I was thinking it was a prank, like one of my buddy was
- 19:12just playing. I go, well, how do you, how do
- 19:14you even know who I am? And he said, well, Father Mark
- 19:17Nolte told me about you and Father Mark Nolte was in my
- 19:19religious community that I was in for five years.
- 19:21So I said, oh, this could be real.
- 19:24And so that's that was the connection.
- 19:26Did he? Did Father?
- 19:27Did the Bishop from Nashville tell?
- 19:29Ever tell you what it was that inspired him to call you?
- 19:32It seems like a very unusual thing, like you were saying, for
- 19:34a Bishop to call a. Kicked out seminarian and say
- 19:37I'll take you. Well, Father Nolte was part of
- 19:41the this Oman from the Nashville, He grew up in
- 19:46Nashville. So he knew this Bishop fairly
- 19:50well. And he was telling him, you
- 19:52know, this guy is 6 months away from completing seminary and
- 19:56then boom, you have a priest that you don't have to pay for
- 19:59all those years of seminary. And he's a, he's a good, he's a
- 20:02discount. And he's really, he's a good guy
- 20:04you should at least meet. Him.
- 20:05And by the way, he could be an exorcist.
- 20:07So he I don't. Know if that was part of it but.
- 20:10It wasn't. But I mean.
- 20:12Because he didn't make me the excess.
- 20:13He died and I was not the IT was the new Bishop that made me the
- 20:16excess. But you know, he's like, what's
- 20:18the harm? It's it's a plane ticket.
- 20:20Just meet him. Wow.

- 21:33story. There's so much to, it's
- 21:35fascinating. It's extremely fascinating the
- 21:38journey that you were on and how God spoke to you.
- 21:40And you know, here you are doing this incredibly important
- 21:43ministry that's helping so many people, which I want to get to.
- 21:46But I, I'm just curious with your story, you mentioned
- 21:49raising Long Island and you, you made this comment how you, you
- 21:53fell away from your faith, but you experienced abuse at the
- 21:56hands of clergy. Can you share more about that,
- 22:00you know, whatever you're comfortable sharing and how that
- 22:02maybe changed your view of your, the faith that you were raised
- 22:07with. And I'm curious how that changed
- 22:09later on, that you actually went to become a clergy yourself
- 22:12after experiencing the worst kind of abuse at the hands of a
- 22:16clergy. Yeah, this man was, in my
- 22:19opinion, diabolical. He was a predator.
- 22:23I later found out I was #18 it was the 18th boy he molested so
- 22:29could have been stopped. Shame on the bishops.
- 22:31That didn't stop him because he kept getting moved.
- 22:35I don't say that as a sweeping blanket statement on all
- 22:38bishops, but on the bishops concerned with this man.
- 22:41You could have done better. How old were you, Father?
- 22:4411 Altar boy or no? No, he just chose me and two
- 22:50others that were in the, in the school where he was working and
- 22:54said he was going to give us a retreat day some, somewhere.
- 22:57And, and that's where it happened.
- 22:59But there were signs. I mean, I, I saw other kids that
- 23:03were around him that were afraid of him.
- 23:06So I, you know, I always just wondered, but then when it
- 23:08happened, I knew. And that's the day I said, never
- 23:11again. I'm not going back to church.
- 23:12And I of course, it's so crushing and you don't know what
- 23:15to believe or how to process. And there's so much shame and
- 23:19there's so much anger and frustration.
- 23:22And my parents knew something was wrong, but they didn't know
- 23:25what. And so he, and he was clever, he
- 23:28knew too that I had changed. I became a different person,
- 23:33very like withdrawn and sad. And so he mentions to my
- 23:40parents, you know, you know, your son looks like he's having
- 23:43a tough time. Do you want me to come over and
- 23:44talk to him? And so they invite him to dinner
- 23:47and I leave the dinner table and go up to my room and he they
- 23:50send him up to talk to me and he tries to do it again.
- 23:54So sorry, Father. So, yeah, these, these kind of
- 23:57people, you know, cannot be trusted, you know, and I think
- 24:00that the, the changes the church has made to protect kids is
- 24:03good. But I tell every parent, do not
- 24:06leave your kids alone with anybody that you don't know
- 24:09super well, like really, really well ever.
- 24:13Because it's a disease linked with with demons.
- 24:18When you take a disease and link it with demons, you're going to
- 24:20get really bad, bad, bad problems.
- 24:23When that happened that evening, did you, did your parents find
- 24:27out soon after? I mean, did you, were you able?
- 24:28To no till college. It wasn't till college that I
- 24:31was ready to tell people it happened.
- 24:35I'm so sorry, Father. Well, thank you, but here's the
- 24:38good news. So I'm I'm now in religious life
- 24:42and there's been years of of healing that happened.
- 24:46Let me tell you, it's kind of comical.
- 24:49I approached the diocese as a young man and said because all
- 24:52the lawsuits were coming out and I want to know part of their
- 24:55money, they offered me money. I said no, but I would like to
- 24:59get some counseling. Now at this point, I'm living in
- 25:02Manhattan and they sent me to a psychologist in Manhattan.
- 25:09The first they want me to come to to their diocese, which is
- 25:13Long Island. And I said, what now?
- 25:15Why should I be inconvenienced? You know, I you owe me.
- 25:19We'll pick a doctor in here. So I went to the psychologist on
- 25:23my first visit. He said, I'm going to prescribe
- 25:25you these drugs. And I said, I don't think I need
- 25:28drugs. I think I need to talk to
- 25:30somebody about this. And he says, well, I'm sorry,
- 25:32they only paid for one session. Can you believe this?
- 25:35I mean, you can't make it up. I said, forget it.
- 25:38We're good. I'm good.
- 25:39Don't eat it. So I'm in religious life now
- 25:43and. I'm so sorry, but can you share
- 25:47the name of the Bishop that was responsible?
- 25:51He's received justice. Has there been justice done in
- 25:53this case, meaning that. Was the priest.
- 25:57Put in prison, not in this. No, no, no, no.
- 25:59He died without going to jail. The Bishop.
- 26:01Well, the Bishop who covered it up is.
- 26:03She dead. This is another interesting
- 26:05thing. The Bishop is dead.
- 26:05The the priest is, far as I know, is he's, he's been
- 26:08laicized, but he's still alive. He's not.
- 26:10He never received any criminal penalties for that because the
- 26:14statute of limitation. Yep.
- 26:16So anyway, along this path, you know, the Lord keeps sending me
- 26:22people who've also been abused by just in general.
- 26:26And a funny thing happens when the God, when God heals you of
- 26:31something, he then makes the womb glorified, sort of like
- 26:34Jesus's ones. And then he will attract people
- 26:37to you who have similar problems so that you can be a conduit of
- 26:41grace so they can get healing too.
- 26:43So all these people start showing up and out of the blue,
- 26:46they start telling me their story.
- 26:47And it's, you know, they were abused.
- 26:49And I'm like, huh? So then I would kind of share
- 26:51with them and teach them how to forgive.
- 26:53And it was always about forgiveness.
- 26:54You have to forgive. You cannot not forgive.
- 26:57It has to happen. So one day the Bishop in Omaha
- 27:03issued some kind of new mandate. And I thought it was stupid or
- 27:06silly or whatever, but I had a, a gross reaction to it in front
- 27:10of my superior. And he looked at me and said
- 27:13that wasn't a normal reaction because what he's doing is not a
- 27:16big deal. Why is it?
- 27:18Why are you so angry? And I said, I don't know.
- 27:19I feel like he's just abusing his power because you know, you,
- 27:24your reaction, it's over the top.
- 27:26Go down to the Chapel and pray about it.
- 27:28So I went down to the Chapel and started praying.
- 27:30And the Lord said this is like a trigger for you because of the
- 27:35abuse of power. And I said, OK, he says you need
- 27:39to forgive the Bishop. I forgave the priest, but I
- 27:42never forgave the Bishop because I really blame the Bishop.
- 27:45And I said, well, what's the point?
- 27:50He's already dead. And the Lord said, well, now
- 27:53it's still important and not just for for the Bishop, but for
- 27:56you, you have to forgive Toy. So alright, I'm going to start
- 27:59having masters said for him from the priests here and I'll pray
- 28:01my rosary and offer my my intentions for him.
- 28:05And this went on for a few weeks and then one day I just felt
- 28:07like the there was no need to it was done.
- 28:10Whatever had to be done was done.
- 28:12And so I'm in the Chapel one day again after this happened and
- 28:18the Lord said, because one year I was sent to a prison as my
- 28:22summer assignment at the last day before we were going and I
- 28:25said a prison. What am I going to do in a
- 28:27prison and in in prison, you can't speak with the inmates
- 28:31unless they invite you to to come.
- 28:32They you have to get a note saying please see me for for a
- 28:35discussion and nobody knows I'm even there.
- 28:37So I go, this is going to be a wasted summer.
- 28:41Well, they have once a year an outdoor retreat where everybody
- 28:45signs up for because they get the whole day outside, which
- 28:46they never get to do. And this is maximum security
- 28:50prison rapist murderers skin had tattoo people.
- 28:56And I show up and I'm in clerics because I'm a seminarian.
- 28:59And the day of the retreat, the the Deacon who's the chaplain
- 29:04says the keynote speaker had an accident.
- 29:08He can't make it to give the talk today.
- 29:11So you're going to give the talk.
- 29:14And I said, what's the talk on? And he said life after prison.
- 29:20And he said, I've never been in prison.
- 29:22How can I give this talk? Because we'll say whatever you
- 29:25want. And he kind of pushes me out
- 29:27there and I look out and it's the most intimidating crowd of
- 29:31people you've ever seen. I mean.
- 29:32So you just, you didn't have any time to prepare nothing.
- 29:35And how many people were in this crowd?
- 29:37Like 500. And they just literally walked
- 29:39you up there. Yes, like these guys, these just
- 29:44like con air looking people, crazy looking people.
- 29:48And I just turned to my Bible and I flipped it open and I got
- 29:52to the prodigal son and I read the prodigal son and I said, you
- 29:56may not believe me, but I wasn't always a seminarian.
- 30:00And I probably with one foot on a banana peel and the other one
- 30:04in hell, very easily could have been in your shoes.
- 30:07Because when I was young, I was molested by this priest.
- 30:10And it put me on a path of destruction and and rage and
- 30:16rebellion that could have landed me right where you are.
- 30:19But the Blessed Mother rescued me and she wants to rescue you.
- 30:24And suddenly I see tears. Tears are coming down these like
- 30:27very, very looking strong, crazy people.
- 30:33And I can see it. And I like, I don't think they
- 30:36recognize across the crowd. But I was like, what is
- 30:38happening here? The next day I had about 100
- 30:42requests for meetings filled my whole summer.
- 30:46As it turns out, about 70 to 80% of men who are in prison have
- 30:51been molested. And they go into that life of
- 30:55addiction, which fuels criminal behavior to fund it.
- 31:00I didn't know that at the time, but I do now.
- 31:02So again, all these people are getting help, right?
- 31:06And it's, this is like the biggest demonstration that I've
- 31:09up to this point. So I'm in the Chapel one day
- 31:12after this all goes down. And again, the Lord says to me,
- 31:16can I ask you a question? I'll never forget it.
- 31:18And I said, you've never asked me if you can ask me a question
- 31:22before. And by the way, that was a
- 31:23question. And he goes, I want you to
- 31:25remember this. That's why I asked.
- 31:27And I go, OK, what's the question?
- 31:28He goes, if I could take you to back to being 10 years old and
- 31:31remove the abuse from your life, knowing all the good I'm
- 31:34bringing from it, would you change your life?
- 31:37And I thought about it and I said, well, I'm fully healed.
- 31:41I have no, I have nothing left of that.
- 31:46But I can see what you're doing. And I said, no, I, I'm good.
- 31:50I, I would keep my life the way it is.
- 31:51I'm happy. And he says, this is the mystery
- 31:55of the cross. Don't ever forget it.
- 31:59Because when crosses come along, you have to relate to people
- 32:02that this is just the piercing. But the, the, the, the blossom
- 32:09of new life is coming. Just hold on.
- 32:12And it was such a valuable lesson.
- 32:13And it's so much so that when you live it, it's different than
- 32:16hearing about it, right? But when people come to you who
- 32:18have similar issues and they know you've gone through it,
- 32:21it's like they, they take it with value.
- 32:24They're like, OK, I can trust this guy.
- 32:27So it's amazing that you can get to the point in your life when
- 32:31you could say, I'm OK with getting through walking through
- 32:34the abuse because I, you healed me and now you're using me to
- 32:37bring healing to others. So praise the Lord.
- 32:40Praise the Lord. Yeah.
- 32:41Thank you for you're welcome sharing that, Father.
- 32:44Sure. I mean, that's, it's incredible.
- 32:48It is incredible. You agreed to let the Lord help
- 32:51you forgive, and you forgave, and I think that's an
- 32:54inspiration. It's monumental.
- 32:57I it's the one thing I try to teach people.
- 32:59You can't hold on to it because you're never going to get over
- 33:01it. You have to give it back and
- 33:04say, Lord, I don't like what that person did to me, but I'm
- 33:08choosing to forgive them. And I ask you to forgive them
- 33:11too and bless and heal them so they become the man or woman you
- 33:14made them to be so they can get home to heaven.
- 33:16So it's simple, it's a formula, it's easy, but it's people think
- 33:21forgiveness is an emotion and until I have the emotion of
- 33:25happiness, I can't forgive them. No, that's not how it works.
- 33:29And the proof of that is the cross, because that's the moment
- 33:31in Jesus's life that he suffered the most physically, the most
- 33:35pain he endured emotionally. Watching his mother suffer,
- 33:38watching him die, the most abuse he took from the crowd spitting
- 33:42at him, blaspheming him, cursing him, and then the feeling of his
- 33:47Father's presence diminishing as he's absorbing all our sin.
- 33:51Even though his father didn't go away, the feeling was leaving.
- 33:56That was the worst moment of his life.
- 33:57And what did he do? He said father forgive them for
- 34:00they don't know what they do in the worst pain of his life.
- 34:04So it has it's This is a decision of the will for the
- 34:08good of the other. Did you ever talk to your
- 34:12parents about your forgiveness of the people that abused you,
- 34:15The person that abused you? Yes.
- 34:17Did they have to forgive themselves?
- 34:19What was that? No, my parents didn't do
- 34:22anything wrong. They were just innocent people.
- 34:25I was the oldest. They never had a kid.
- 34:27It was back. You know, when you think about
- 34:29it, when they were raising me, this, it might have been
- 34:32happening, but it was never spoken of so.
- 34:34They just didn't. No clue.
- 34:36Trusted everybody. Trusted we, we played outside
- 34:40all day and rode our bikes around the block and all over
- 34:43into the park. And we'd come home at the end of
- 34:45the day at, you know, dusk. Nobody was afraid of being
- 34:49kidnapped or stolen or it was just a different time.
- 34:54Drank water out of the hose. Today we have to have our
- 34:57bottles. Glass bottles.
- 34:59Glass bottles, yeah, different. But I think now people are more
- 35:04aware and sadly, as the world is devolving and it is, it's
- 35:09becoming more evil and that evil is having an effect on society
- 35:15and you have to be more cautious.

- 36:37That's we Heart nutrition.com. Is that your your perspective?
- 36:42Just looking at your upbringing, do you think our American
- 36:45Society or Western society is more evil than it was say 4050
- 36:51years ago? A. 100% because of things like
- 36:56the phone, social media, Hollywood, Madison Ave. all of
- 37:01it. It's all getting worse.
- 37:07Things like, well, first of all, sadly, California exports about
- 37:1265% of the pornography to the whole world.
- 37:15So right there there's a problem.
- 37:17That was something that if you wanted to look at pornography
- 37:19and when I was a kid, you had to go to the corner, you know,
- 37:23little convenience store and buy the magazine and hide it between
- 37:27two other magazines and smuggle it into your house.
- 37:30Now you open your phone, there's the world is at your fingertips.
- 37:35That's dangerous for kids. And then it it got so much worse
- 37:40because the digital world is far outpacing production of printed
- 37:46pornography. And what I mean by that is
- 37:48they're doing things that are grossly disgusting on levels
- 37:52that are so devoid of humanity you can't imagine.
- 37:56But then Hollywood picks up on it.
- 37:58You know, Nicole Kidman just shot a movie where she's
- 38:01obsessed with sex with animals. It's a mainstream movie.
- 38:07So like, you know, she's somebody who claims to be
- 38:11Catholic. I don't know how you do that,
- 38:15You know, and there's others too.
- 38:17This the Hollywood keeps pushing the envelope and America keeps
- 38:20eating it up. So at some points the Lord will
- 38:24intervene and say, you know what?
- 38:26A chastisement at this point would be a great mercy for these
- 38:29people because it it would have the effect of bringing people
- 38:32back to God, just like He did with the Israelites.
- 38:36By chastisement. What is that?
- 38:38What could that look like? Could look like anything, Could
- 38:40look like financial collapse. It could look like a stoppage in
- 38:44the food chain line. It could look like weather
- 38:47events. It could look like a plague.
- 38:48It could you name it. All the options are on the table
- 38:51do. You think the LA fires were
- 38:54permitted by God and his mercy as a chastisement?
- 38:57Potentially. I personally do.
- 39:02I was out in the Hollywood Hills just before that happened.
- 39:07I was staying in Tom Cruise's old house, which is owned by a
- 39:12Catholic woman who was running this company that she wanted me
- 39:15to come out and do some interviews with.
- 39:17And, you know, it's high up there overlooking the whole
- 39:20city, and it's palatial, beautiful.
- 39:23I went out on the patio outside my bedroom one night, and I'm
- 39:28just like, marveling at the city.
- 39:29And the Lord says to me, all this is going away.
- 39:34And I'm thinking, well, of course someday there's going to
- 39:36be that big earthquake and everything's going to fall down.
- 39:40But then when the fires came, I said, oh, like, that was weird.
- 39:43That was like just weeks ago that I heard him say that.
- 39:46And, and private personal revelation is always to be taken
- 39:50with a big grain of salt because we're imperfect vessels.
- 39:53And when I hear things like that, I'm like, well, yes, in
- 39:56the end, all will be gone. You know, at the end, everything
- 39:59will go away. So of course.
- 40:02But I didn't think it was that. And it's certainly nothing.
- 40:04That's a lot of that stuff still there.
- 40:06So that was not what he said, but it just alarmed me when I
- 40:09saw it on TV. I'm like, wow, I was just there
- 40:12and I called her and she fled to her villa in Rome to get it to
- 40:17escape the fire. So, yeah, things are changing.
- 40:21But then I thought, you know, what if all those people
- 40:24evacuated because, ironically, very few people died.
- 40:27I mean, there was loss of life. It's always horrible when that
- 40:29happens. But given the span of the what
- 40:31could have been, you know, if you meant to the Peshtigo fire
- 40:35in Wisconsin, you know, lots of people died, you know,
- 40:40thousands. This was a relatively small
- 40:43number. But what if all those people
- 40:45were that they're now gone and that now if there was an
- 40:48earthquake and and that all went to rubble, they would be spared?
- 40:52We just never know what God's doing ahead.
- 40:55He's sort of like 100 paces ahead in a chess game.
- 40:57You just don't know. But I do believe if, if there
- 41:03was something to shake us back into reality and say, wake up
- 41:07America and the world, the way to do that is usually to take
- 41:12away people's toys. And then they, you have their
- 41:15attention, right? So I don't wish this on anybody.
- 41:18I don't want this. I don't want to suffer as a
- 41:20country. And I think the fastest way to,
- 41:23to, to come into God's good graces is we have to corporately
- 41:27as a whole country and potentially the whole world,
- 41:31repent, acknowledge we went down the wrong path.
- 41:35The way we're heading is not healthy or good or holy.
- 41:39And it's time to change and to bring back the values that Jesus
- 41:42left us. God would come swooping in and
- 41:45pick us up in his arms like a Father.
- 41:49Do you think there's been an increase in demonic activity in
- 41:54the last 40-50 years? And you mentioned pornography.
- 41:57Has been just in the last five years.
- 41:58Last five years, an increase in. Demonic activity in COVID?
- 42:01COVID was horrible for demonic activity.
- 42:04Why? Why do you think that is?
- 42:07Can't define it for sure, but I mean I've talked to other
- 42:10Exodus. First of all, we took away the
- 42:11sacraments. That's never going to help you
- 42:15lock people at home. You give them free money and
- 42:18tell them have fun. So people, you know, idle hands
- 42:21may are the devil's work. You know, you don't want to do
- 42:23that. So a lot of people got into a
- 42:27lot of sinful areas just by being stuck home and nothing to
- 42:30do. And then it's not the demons get
- 42:34more power, but they get more influence when that stuff like
- 42:37that happens. And that creates more problems.
- 42:41The other issue you have to look at is as an exorcist, I'm given
- 42:44authority to drive out demons and bring healing to people by
- 42:50the power of the church. So the Bishop gives me that
- 42:52authority that was given to him by the Pope, and that's the
- 43:00power that's behind my ministry that I'm doing for the church.
- 43:05When the church starts suffering, not in a good way, in
- 43:08a bad way, when the church starts getting weak or lazy or
- 43:15not the best she could be, that has an adverse effect on the
- 43:20power of the ministry because that's where I'm pulling from.
- 43:24So, and again, I'm not causing blame on the USCCB or those men
- 43:29running the church, but that's the fact of life.
- 43:32When the church is strong is when the exorcist ministry will
- 43:35be at its strongest. It's because it's not me, it's
- 43:39God's power, but it's coming through the authority of the
- 43:41church. So there's that.
- 43:45There's that in play as well. It is crazy to think about the
- 43:49fact that they left the abortion clinics open in California where
- 43:53they close the churches. Like literally you could go get
- 43:55an abortion and kill your baby, murder your baby, dismember your
- 43:58baby, and you couldn't go to get your sacraments.
- 44:02It was like that in a lot of places.
- 44:05So I hope everybody learned from that.
- 44:09You know, it was a terrible tragedy, but you know, if you
- 44:12can learn from it and then change future behavior to modify
- 44:16that so it doesn't happen again, great.
- 44:19Because Lord knows it's probably not the last pandemic we'll
- 44:22have. It just seems like we're living
- 44:25in different times. Father, how did you become an
- 44:28exorcist? Exorcists are chosen by the
- 44:31Bishop. You can't lobby for it.
- 44:34You shouldn't apply for it's not a position.
- 44:36You throw a resume up there and say pick me to be the so it's
- 44:41just the way it's done. Of course, then I have a team
- 44:44around me and those people I choose to support me, and
- 44:48there's people that both go in the room with me and then
- 44:50there's intercessors outside of their can intercede from really
- 44:54anywhere. So I always have an e-mail go
- 44:56out the morning of an exorcism to the whole group saying that
- 45:00from this hour to this hours, could you keep me in prayer?
- 45:04And that's how we do it. How, what?
- 45:08What was it like when you first did your first exorcism?
- 45:13Your first exorcism is kind of scary because you're you're the
- 45:17alone. So I'm I'm the lead the only
- 45:20when I'm a meant when somebody's mentoring, I'm just there
- 45:22watching and they're in charge. So I'm kind of like, you know,
- 45:25wherever this goes, I'll just be present.
- 45:28But I don't have to think about it.
- 45:30I'm just watching. But the first time you're there
- 45:32and there's nobody coaching you, you know, you're always a little
- 45:35nervous, like I hope I'm doing this right.
- 45:38And the first one I did, the woman was not getting it didn't
- 45:42seem like anything was happening.
- 45:44She was just writhing on the floor in pain and contorting her
- 45:47neck and her body limbs and screaming and sweating and
- 45:53foaming at the mouth. And I'm like, I'm getting to the
- 45:57end of the right where you, you pray the prayers of gratitude.
- 45:59And I looked her past was in the room with me.
- 46:01And I look at him and go, we're just about done here.
- 46:05And she's not better. Like, do you want to keep going
- 46:09or should we reschedule and do this again?
- 46:12Naively thinking like I could just keep going until it's out
- 46:15like that. That's something that was just
- 46:18complete made-up in my head. Until the the devil or the demon
- 46:21is. Yeah, oftentimes it, it doesn't
- 46:24matter what how long you go, it's not leaving the first try,
- 46:28just the way it works sometimes, but not always.
- 46:32So he looks at me and said, I, this is horrible.
- 46:34I can't go through this, so I can't watch this again, just
- 46:37keep going. And so it's OK.
- 46:39Oddly, that he had just bought a huge 8 foot painting of
- 46:43Guadalupe that was in the room, hadn't been hung in the church
- 46:46yet. And she was Spanish.
- 46:48So I just looked at her and I said, cry out to your mother for
- 46:52help. And she cried out to the Blessed
- 46:55Mother in Spanish and then immediately went into
- 46:59convulsions on the floor and was just like up and down and
- 47:03writhing all over the place. And me and the other pre we had
- 47:07no idea what was happening. I was not praying any prayers at
- 47:10this point. I'm just staring at her like
- 47:11what? What is happening here?
- 47:12And then she just stopped and she dropped to the floor
- 47:16completely and was motionless. And I was like, part of me was
- 47:19wondering is she alive? And kind of got closer and she
- 47:24was she was breathing and then she opened her eyes and she was
- 47:28back completely delivered. Had nothing to do with me or the
- 47:32right was all Our Lady. Our Lady of Guadalupe.
- 47:36Yes. And I looked at the priest and
- 47:38said, had we known, we could have started with this, you
- 47:40know, it would have been up right away.
- 47:42But you know, it's not like it's not a science.
- 47:45You can't just say, oh, every time I'm going to begin with
- 47:47Guadalupe and it'll always happen.
- 47:48But in this instance, that's what happened.
- 47:51What was her she was presenting? What brought that woman and her
- 47:56pastor to you? How did they know that she was
- 47:58even possessed, it sounds like? And was she exhibiting these
- 48:03behaviors even when there wasn't an exorcism that was actively
- 48:07being delivered towards her? I mean, what was the?
- 48:09She had a horrible aversion to all things holy and she formerly
- 48:13was a very good daily communicant and she went through
- 48:20a cycle of fear about something. And that kind of that was seemed
- 48:24to be the open door that invited the demons in.
- 48:25And then it that just took her down and she couldn't even go to
- 48:29she couldn't go to mass, she couldn't go to adoration.
- 48:31She couldn't pray the rosary. She had voices screaming at her
- 48:34all day. She physically lost control of
- 48:38her body. And that's what true possession
- 48:40is, you know, can control your body like they take over.
- 48:43And but it wasn't 24 hours a day.
- 48:45So when she'd come out of these moments, she would tell her
- 48:47sister, I need help because there's something taking me
- 48:50over. And that's how she came to me.
- 48:54When you say there was fear, and I want to explore this because I
- 48:57think, you know, part of the goal here is education about,
- 49:01yeah, the way that we can enter spiritual combat armed with in
- 49:05strength, you know, trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ, Right.
- 49:08And asking for the intercession of the Blessed Mother, the
- 49:10angels and the Saints. And this woman, you said, was a
- 49:13daily communicant. And she said she was kind of
- 49:18dwelling in in fears or she had these fears that were kind of
- 49:21taking over her. And that sounds like that was
- 49:22perhaps an open door for the demonic.
- 49:25Can you share more about that? Yeah.
- 49:27And I don't want to frighten anybody listening because you
- 49:29can't just suddenly fall into being possessed.
- 49:32But she came from a culture where there were also other
- 49:36things operating in in the background, you know, so there
- 49:38could be family members that are dabbling and Santeria and all
- 49:42sorts of other things and all these factors.
- 49:44It's a very unique situation for every one of us because we come
- 49:47from an unique and unique upbringing.
- 49:49And then we have a unique pairing with demons that are
- 49:53unique, you know, Aquinas says each Angel is its own species to
- 49:58some regard. So every single person is going
- 50:00to have a different scenario when they encounter something
- 50:05that's troubling them for whatever reason.
- 50:08She, it became incredibly fearful and to the point where
- 50:12it was, I would almost say maybe a lack of trust in God and, and
- 50:17that's where you get into a danger zone and.
- 50:20Like, like suspicious, fearful, like she was suspicious of
- 50:24things like. Being oppressed by a spirit of
- 50:26fear that was making her crazy to the point of so fearful of
- 50:31just everything. And when she finally kind of
- 50:36gave into that fear, it just took over.
- 50:38And then that was the beginning of the end until she was
- 50:41liberated. So the, the lesson there is
- 50:45like, no matter what you're going through, first of all,
- 50:48bring it into the light because that's when they lose their
- 50:50power by just saying the declaring Jesus is my Lord and
- 50:54he is my God and I trust in him. And no matter what you think
- 50:58you're doing, Jesus is the king of my life and constantly go
- 51:03back to that Jesus, I trust in you.
- 51:05Seek help from your local priest.
- 51:07You know, tell your priest that there's something I'm wrestling
- 51:09with. I need prayer.
- 51:11Can you pray with me? Ask your family to pray with
- 51:14you. Try to pray your rosary every
- 51:16day. It's all these little things we
- 51:17can do that help gird us up and keep us strong.
- 51:23But like when I'm, if I'm having a really tough time, you have to
- 51:26let people know by hiding it, it only gives those things more
- 51:29power to work on you. How many exorcisms have you done
- 51:34since that first one, would you say?
- 51:37Dozens. And what's the kind of process
- 51:41for exorcism people? You know, and I'm, you know,
- 51:46we've talked about this a little bit on the show before, but
- 51:48what's sort of the the flags you mentioned lacking ability to
- 51:53control of 1's body is like a very big flag, meaning that
- 51:56could be that the three. Typicals are knowledge of
- 52:01unknown things, sometimes foreign languages, superhuman
- 52:05strength and an aversion to holy things.
- 52:08Those are the three, like, classic benchmarks.
- 52:11But there can be. I mean, I had one case up in
- 52:13Kentucky. It was a guy up in a halfway
- 52:17house just across the border, and I didn't even know he was
- 52:21dealing with demons. Somebody just called me, you
- 52:24know, back when I was up in Nashville, it was only at an
- 52:26hour drive, and they said he just wants help.
- 52:29He levitated off the couch while I was praying with him.
- 52:31So right away I'm like, not mental illness, clearly.
- 52:35You saw that? Yes.
- 52:36How far off the couch was he? Foot and 1/2.
- 52:40Was he like sitting cross legged or what?
- 52:42What did that? No, no.
- 52:43He kind of went into a trance. His eyes rolled back in his
- 52:47head, and then his core lifted up and his limbs were flailing
- 52:50backwards like like a puppet. And I just got up and walked out
- 52:55of the room and said, Nope, not doing this here.
- 52:59You know, this is not my home turf.
- 53:00We're not this is not even expect this.
- 53:03So waited until he came back down and said you need help, but
- 53:08you have to come to the church and it's going to be a scheduled
- 53:13thing. That's when the process begins.
- 53:17In his case, you know, the USCCB requires that I have of the cat
- 53:22Code of Canada law says I have to have moral certitude.
- 53:24There's a demon present, the USECB has interpreted that to me
- 53:28and I have to have a physical done on the person and a psych
- 53:32evaluation. I think we're one of the only
- 53:34countries that requires both. And is that to rule out that
- 53:38this is not like schizophrenia or some trick, but that this is
- 53:42a legit demonic activity that needs an exorcist and that can't
- 53:46be treated by a healthcare professional like a mental
- 53:48health? Professional, you know, they
- 53:50hide under mental illness too. So like that's not a guarantee.
- 53:53They're not there if even if they get a diagnosis of
- 53:55schizophrenia. But I said, look, this guy, you
- 54:00know, mental illness makes you levitate off the couch.
- 54:02So we don't have to do the psychological.
- 54:04Clearly it's not mental illness. He should still have a physical
- 54:08and make sure it's healthy like he wouldn't be his body would
- 54:12because it's very stressful to go through a deliverance like
- 54:15that. But then you you go forward and
- 54:18you and you go and perform the right.
- 54:22So I have a question because when you're just walking through
- 54:24the streets as an example, or like in daily life, like I've
- 54:27never seen somebody levitate off the ground in a demonic display,
- 54:31right? It sounds like the that the
- 54:35devil almost was taunting you or like he knew you were an
- 54:38exorcist and he doesn't like you and he did that in front of you
- 54:41specifically, like on purpose. Is there some pattern there
- 54:45about how the devil chooses to do these crazy antics?
- 54:49Generally speaking, if you're an exorcist that's starting your
- 54:52fresh, all the parlor tricks come out and it's meant to
- 54:57intimidate it and to frighten. After a year or two of doing
- 55:01this, they know this is not going to impress the exorcist,
- 55:05and they kind of diminished to the point of not a big deal.
- 55:09But if I bring in a young priest who wants to be a witness in the
- 55:13room or a bodyguard for me, all the tricks come back out because
- 55:18it's like, oh, there's somebody new to impress here.
- 55:21And that's not always the case. But that's kind of what I've
- 55:23seen and what I've talked to other friends who do this the
- 55:26same thing. You know, it's like after a
- 55:28while that this guy has already seen all this.
- 55:30It's not going to make any kind of impression on him.
- 55:33But the best example in the scriptures is the Garrison
- 55:37demoniac. So when we look at that example,
- 55:40that guy was cut off from civilization.
- 55:43So division, he was running around naked, public nudity, and
- 55:49he's violent, he's breaking his chains, he's smashing things on
- 55:53the rocks. And when we look to our society
- 55:55today, those three things are through the roof, Public nudity,
- 55:59division and violence. And when I see that on the news
- 56:03at night, that's the first thing I say is like, he's having a
- 56:06heyday here. That's just like, meaning when
- 56:09we see some of these crazy protests that didn't even
- 56:12involve some of those things that could just be straight up
- 56:15that is demonic activity. The way people present
- 56:18themselves in public, people come up to communion barely
- 56:22dressed. And it's like he's he's having
- 56:26greater influence than ever over because I think we think we're
- 56:31we're an advanced society. We're we're smarter than this
- 56:35former generations where we know better.
- 56:37And so we've let our guard down in some way with all these other
- 56:40things. And but cumulatively, when you
- 56:44look at it, we're much worse off now than we were before.
- 56:48There was just the Grammys event a couple days ago from when
- 56:51we're filming this, and Kanye West came, I think.
- 56:54I don't even know if he. I saw the story, I didn't see
- 56:57the. I didn't see the no need to see
- 56:59it, but he literally had his quote UN quote wife and you
- 57:01know, unclear their actual bond, but literally naked in full
- 57:06flight. You know, everyone for everyone
- 57:08to see parading her like that. And you know, I think there was
- 57:12a round decry of it. People decrying it like this
- 57:16looks demonic. This looks demonic.
- 57:18Do you think that's? How could it not have an
- 57:23influence? I mean, how could it not?
- 57:27The I saw the story in in a news, a New York newspaper that
- 57:31ran a story. And of course they didn't show
- 57:33her, but she was on the red carpet and all the, you know,
- 57:37there's a league of photographers all photographing
- 57:39her. So he dragged her out in the
- 57:41public, naked and put her on display like a dog.
- 57:46Like a dog. Like a pimp.
- 57:48Like a. Pimp and they all just shot
- 57:50their pictures of her. And posted them.
- 57:53This poor woman, I mean, what kind of self dignity does she
- 57:57have left after that? You know, I can't imagine going
- 58:01home then thinking like that was a good day, and then for weeks
- 58:05you're going to hear about it in the news of everybody posting,
- 58:07your poor body putting all over. Well, he did that with Kim
- 58:11Kardashian, right? You know, So it's he has a track
- 58:13record of doing it. I think sometimes the women like
- 58:15in Kim Kardashian's case, like she she actively I would say
- 58:18prostitutes herself with with or without Kanye.
- 58:21I don't want to go too far down the rabbit hole with these
- 58:23celebrities because they seem to want for them.
- 58:28For many of them, it brings more clicks and ultimately it brings
- 58:32them more money. And if that's your goal is to
- 58:35make money, you know, I think recently I remember I spoke
- 58:41about this with somebody else. But there's this woman who says
- 58:44she's Christian and she's an only fans model that made like
- 58:48$40 million in a year. And she she says she's still
- 58:54her, her faith is intact. She's a good Christian woman.
- 58:57Now, I don't, I'm not part of only fans, but I have to imagine
- 59:01if you're making $40 million, you're not photographing
- 59:03yourself with your clothes on. There has to be something you're
- 59:06showing. People are paying you for it.
- 59:09And that is so sad to me because not only for her own personal
- 59:13dignity, but all the young women, young, even men who are
- 59:19going to watch not her directly, but the these the story in the
- 59:24news. Oh, you can make $40 million by
- 59:27being just, that's, oh, I didn't know you could do that.
- 59:30It's like the gold rush of perversity.
- 59:32You're yeah, you're you're literally dangling a carrot in
- 59:35front of the youth saying here's a way to go to be rich.
- 59:38All you have to do is take all your clothes off.
- 59:41When did this become normal? Just in the last, like you said,
- 59:45the last five years, it really is.
- 59:46Accelerating, right? Accelerating.
- 59:48OK, so that's enough on him. So we have the antidote to this,
- 59:52and that's Jesus and his mother. You know, a lot of times we we
- 59:57downplay Mary, but he never did. His favorite person on the earth
- 1:00:01was Mary. And so we should get to know her
- 1:00:03really well, too. She shows up all over the world
- 1:00:07in various apparitions, and she always dresses in the culture of
- 1:00:10the people she's visiting. Guadalupe shoes, the Mexican
- 1:00:14dress in France. She's comes with what the local
- 1:00:18Parisian peasant women were wearing, but she never comes.
- 1:00:24Dressed immodestly, like, I wonder if she appeared in Vegas,
- 1:00:29she would still come completely clothed.
- 1:00:31You know, there would be no showgirl outfit.
- 1:00:33She would be completely dressed, beautiful, but covered.
- 1:00:37And I think we need to impress upon our young people that if
- 1:00:41you really believe you're a temple of the Holy Spirit, if
- 1:00:43you really believe that you're made with this incredible, the
- 1:00:46most incredible dignity, that you're in God's own image and
- 1:00:50likeness, then you're so special that you shouldn't just be
- 1:00:54flaunting your body for the world to see.
- 1:00:56It's something that's sacred, that is really set apart for him
- 1:01:00and for potentially one day a spouse that God will choose for
- 1:01:03you. But that's it, right?
- 1:01:06Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:01:08Sounds good. It has to go out there it.
- 1:01:10Has to go out there and. We need strong dads to impress
- 1:01:13upon the girls they The dad is so critically important.
- 1:01:16The mothers are definitely important, but the dad has a
- 1:01:19unique role in the family of forming those little people into
- 1:01:24Saints as the one who is leading the family to heaven.
- 1:01:28Because a lot of people don't realize, but in any
- 1:01:30relationship, the way God's constructed the pyramid of life,
- 1:01:35the father over the situation has special graces for that
- 1:01:38family that are only given through the father.
- 1:01:41So the pastor is given special graces for the parish.
- 1:01:45You could say it even in civilian life, like the
- 1:01:48president has special graces that can be imparted to the
- 1:01:50country if he chooses to live a godly life, right?
- 1:01:55So what I'm finding in the last just six months really is
- 1:02:01there's this bubbling up of this new crop of Catholic men who are
- 1:02:07really taking the bull by the horns and getting boldly out
- 1:02:12there promoting virtue and sacrifice for holy families.
- 1:02:18And it is so encouraging. It's so refreshing.
- 1:02:21And it's so like, it's almost addictive.
- 1:02:23Like you're like, this is so exciting.
- 1:02:25Leadership. Yes, and, and I've been reaching
- 1:02:29out to some of them. I just saw a guy on Instagram
- 1:02:31the other day and he, he's posting everyday scriptures and
- 1:02:34he's out there for teaching his children and taking them on
- 1:02:38these like little marches and building things and swords and
- 1:02:42teaching them about the nights. And I said, who is this guy?
- 1:02:45So I, I found him and I called him, I said, I want to meet you.
- 1:02:48I want to talk to you and come on the show.
- 1:02:50And he came on and it's, he just said, you know, we just feel
- 1:02:56like I don't see anybody else here doing it.
- 1:02:58I'm going to do it. And I've been kind of a, a tired
- 1:03:01old parish with the youngest people in the parish.
- 1:03:03There's no other people in our age group.
- 1:03:05And we're just like, let's go. We have to do it.
- 1:03:08And we're going to build this great Catholic family.
- 1:03:11So it gives me a lot of encouragement for the future.
- 1:03:13It should get everybody encouragement for the future.
- 1:03:15And you know what, you can be part of it too.
- 1:03:17Anybody listening, you can be part of this.
- 1:03:19This is not just for a few. A few select now, you don't have
- 1:03:22to get on Instagram. You don't have to be on YouTube,
- 1:03:24but in your home, start a little Bible study with your kids every
- 1:03:28morning, 5 minutes. Let's talk about the readings
- 1:03:30today and then send them off today with a thought to ponder.
- 1:03:33And at the end of the day, come back at dinner and let's see how
- 1:03:36that scripture lived out today in their life.
- 1:03:38I mean practical. I love that.
- 1:03:41Yeah, they're, you're right. I've seen it more.
- 1:03:43I mean, even with this podcast, there's more people coming out
- 1:03:46of the woodwork. We're like, we should talk to
- 1:03:47you. Come, let's just have a
- 1:03:48conversation because you know, the people that I, I, you know,
- 1:03:54the folks who are watching the show, I know they would be
- 1:03:56encouraged by your witness, by what you're doing, by your
- 1:03:58example. And there are a lot of men that
- 1:04:01are standing up and just being men, being the leaders that got
- 1:04:04them to be it's. Amazing.
- 1:04:06What's your when you are doing spiritual combat?
- 1:04:11What has been the most challenging exorcist that you've
- 1:04:16ever exorcism that you've ever done, That you've ever done?
- 1:04:19Ha, that's an easy one. OK, this guy, John, he went on
- 1:04:29YouTube and googled how to open his third eye.
- 1:04:34This third eye. Third Eye?
- 1:04:36Yeah, it's a Hindu thing. Is it like connected to that eye
- 1:04:42that is using a lot of jewelry? It's a different.
- 1:04:45Thing, it's like this third eye in this world of metaphysical,
- 1:04:50religion, complexity, spiritual, but ultimately it's demonic.
- 1:04:57And he was going through this video trying to do what they're
- 1:04:59saying and he felt the thing go into him and he was pretty
- 1:05:05messed up. But it's still able to function
- 1:05:07as a human being and eventually reached out I think through the
- 1:05:11diocese to me and I met with him and he was coherent, like he
- 1:05:15could have a conversation. But over the course of a month
- 1:05:19this thing kept growing and getting worse and dragging him
- 1:05:22down. Eventually he was fully
- 1:05:24possessed and he died 3 times. He died 3 times.
- 1:05:28Three times what is? What do you mean?
- 1:05:30During his possession, they would bring him drugs.
- 1:05:36They would. The demon would say, I'm going
- 1:05:38to, you're going to take drugs today.
- 1:05:41He goes, I don't want to take any drugs.
- 1:05:43I don't have any money. Oh, we know.
- 1:05:45We know people. And then just a guy would show
- 1:05:48up and hand him a bag of crack and shoot it into him and he
- 1:05:52would OD and eventually he would get taken to the hospital and
- 1:05:57give a Narcan and come back to life.
- 1:05:59The third time it happened was actually the day we had
- 1:06:01scheduled an exorcism with him. He's living in the woods with a
- 1:06:05community of homeless. Was this but sorry, did he
- 1:06:08become homeless after the YouTube video?
- 1:06:11So within just a short period of time, his life totally
- 1:06:13unraveled. Six months.
- 1:06:15Yes, that that's pretty short lost.
- 1:06:16His job, lost his family, lost his girlfriend, lost everything.
- 1:06:20Now he's living in the woods. And and just to just to track it
- 1:06:24with and was this because of erratic behavior that the demon
- 1:06:27was sort of instigating, instigating in him or was it
- 1:06:30specifically the drugs or? No, no, the drugs were only at
- 1:06:34set points when they would bring them to him and he would have to
- 1:06:38do them. He couldn't function because
- 1:06:40they were the two present all the time.
- 1:06:43He would have very few minutes of lucidity where he was able to
- 1:06:46communicate and function. So eventually everything just
- 1:06:49fell apart. And when when you say that when
- 1:06:52you like, let's say you're his employer, you're just noticing
- 1:06:55him like totally check out, not pay attention.
- 1:06:58Check out not showing up on time, not showing up at all.
- 1:07:01Eventually it's like you can't work here.
- 1:07:03Same with the girlfriend, just. Do you think the girlfriend knew
- 1:07:06that something demonic was happening or she just thought he
- 1:07:09turned into a deadbeat? I don't know.
- 1:07:11I never met her, but she just at some point said, I've had
- 1:07:15enough, I'm done. And then he went to a halfway
- 1:07:19house. And then even there he got
- 1:07:20kicked out of like there, there was just no way he was going to
- 1:07:24live anywhere with anybody who was normal because they were
- 1:07:27just having a heyday with him. And and he had no car at this
- 1:07:32point either. So like when I had to to meet
- 1:07:35with him for sessions, you know, when I bring him to the church,
- 1:07:37I had to go pick him up. So now I'm like, I have to have
- 1:07:41somebody with me in the car because I can't have a possessed
- 1:07:44person suddenly like reach over the backseat and start choking
- 1:07:47me as I'm driving the car. So we had to restrain him and it
- 1:07:51was big. It was just a lot.
- 1:07:54So the third time I had the other, I had another excess with
- 1:07:57me. And this is all scheduled and we
- 1:07:59go to pick John up from his location in the woods.
- 1:08:03He's not there. I said, where is John?
- 1:08:05And they said, oh, he died. They took him away.
- 1:08:08I said, oh, he died. So I went to the closest
- 1:08:12hospital to that location and he's there and he's in ER and
- 1:08:16he's awake. They, they Narcan him again.
- 1:08:19The doctor said to me, we gave him triple what we normally use
- 1:08:24on somebody who's overdosed triple.
- 1:08:26Like it's insane how much drugs he had in his system.
- 1:08:30He was, they wouldn't release him because you have to stay for
- 1:08:34like an hour before they let you go when you have that much drugs
- 1:08:37in your system. So I'm talking to him and he
- 1:08:39goes in and out of lucidity and eventually the demon shows up.
- 1:08:45And I said I was with the other ex and I said, how does this
- 1:08:49benefit you by killing him? Because he's not doing anything
- 1:08:54wrong. His death is not putting him in
- 1:08:57hell. Why?
- 1:08:57Why is this good for you? And they said we just like to
- 1:09:01torment him. And if it weren't for Michael,
- 1:09:04he would be dead. And I said Michael, and he says,
- 1:09:08yes, Michael sent a League of Angels to bring him, bring the
- 1:09:14paramedics to the woods to find him because, you know, who would
- 1:09:18ever find somebody in the woods anyway?
- 1:09:20It was a very weird, you know, story.
- 1:09:23And you can't trust the demons because they lie.
- 1:09:25But the fact of the matter is, you know, I, I did want to talk
- 1:09:29to the EMS crew and say, did you get a call or were you just
- 1:09:32wondering like, how'd you find him?
- 1:09:34And even the doctor said that they were, when they brought him
- 1:09:37in, they had very little to say about him because they basically
- 1:09:40just stumbled upon, they were going past this location and
- 1:09:44there was a bunch of people they saw in the woods and they, they
- 1:09:48saw that there was some kind of a, they seem panicked.
- 1:09:51So they just kind of like, are you OK?
- 1:09:53And they said, no, this guy, he's having a problem and they
- 1:09:56took him and took him to the hospital.
- 1:09:59So John did have his exesm that day.
- 1:10:02In the hospital. No, we took him to the church.
- 1:10:05We took him to one of the churches, not my church, but one
- 1:10:09of the Nashville churches. And we cleaned him up.
- 1:10:14We took him, we brought him some clothes, we bought him clothes.
- 1:10:17We took him there and told him to take a shower and get cleaned
- 1:10:20up. And then he came out dressed and
- 1:10:23ready to go. Took him into the church, did
- 1:10:25the whole exorcism and he he was still not liberated.
- 1:10:30And that was his maybe fourth or fifth time we we did the right
- 1:10:38with him. It was soon after that he was
- 1:10:42arrested in Alabama for some something I think he was
- 1:10:49stealing and he was thrown in prison.
- 1:10:52And that's the last I ever heard of him.
- 1:10:54But at least in prison I knew he was at least getting food and
- 1:10:59somebody was monitoring his life, but never heard back from
- 1:11:03him. Do you think about him?
- 1:11:08Every now and then, yeah. Is it do people in prison who
- 1:11:11are possessed, do they have sometimes access to an exorcist
- 1:11:14as do prisons? Prisons do allow clergy
- 1:11:16sometimes. Perhaps, but it's unlikely
- 1:11:20because they would just probably diagnose them with schizophrenia
- 1:11:23and they put them on drugs which just completely sedates them and
- 1:11:26makes them into a zombie. What do you think?
- 1:11:32I know we can't we can only guess at the ways of God because
- 1:11:35and we know he's merciful and just and far more merciful than
- 1:11:39we are. Of course, there's no
- 1:11:40comparison. But when you when you're faced
- 1:11:43with that, which is, you know, it's not a success story in like
- 1:11:46the human calculation of do the exorcism, it's done, it works.
- 1:11:49The guy's free, goes on to have this beautiful life.
- 1:11:51You know, the guy's in prison and it sounds like it wasn't his
- 1:11:54fault. I mean, I don't know.
- 1:11:56I can't I can't speak to this with authority, obviously, but
- 1:11:58it sounds like, you know, he was living a decent life until he
- 1:12:02became possessed. I guess the YouTube video that
- 1:12:05was his fault to do that. That was stupid.
- 1:12:07But then he got possessed, lost his girlfriend, lost his job,
- 1:12:09lost his car, lost his shelter, lost everything.
- 1:12:11And now he's, you know, committing illegal activities,
- 1:12:14which may be the devil is prompting.
- 1:12:16I mean, how does, how do you see the kind of theology at play
- 1:12:20there of what we believe to be true as Catholics about free
- 1:12:23will? It's hard to reconcile it all
- 1:12:26because, you know, even the phone number I had for him, at
- 1:12:33some point it was, you know, you call the number, it says number
- 1:12:36no longer working. So like it literally he just got
- 1:12:40cut off completely. Then I heard from somebody else
- 1:12:44that they heard he was in jail or prison down in Alabama.
- 1:12:46But it's it is a sad story, but we don't know how it ends
- 1:12:52because maybe in prison he got enough grace to to finally say I
- 1:13:00because it really goes back to your will as well.
- 1:13:01Like you have to the will is so important in these things.
- 1:13:06Like you have to really want to say like, I want nothing but
- 1:13:09God. You.
- 1:13:10You want, meaning you meaning. There's no such thing as someone
- 1:13:13so possessed that they still can't make an act towards God of
- 1:13:15their will. I don't know if I could say that
- 1:13:18because I don't. I have only been doing this for
- 1:13:20about six to seven years, but I would say you'd have to look
- 1:13:27into somebody like Monsignor Rosetti or, you know, God bless
- 1:13:30God, Gabriel Lamarth, who's gone.
- 1:13:31But he would these kind of guys would know better.
- 1:13:35But I do think God always makes a way, you know, even in prison,
- 1:13:41that could be a way made because if the person really wants it,
- 1:13:45the problem with this kid was he was looking for a higher access
- 1:13:51to power by opening the third eye.
- 1:13:53So that's where it's idolatry. It's in that that's the problem.
- 1:13:58It wasn't the stupid video. It was just that he was seeking
- 1:14:02for a knowledge that was out, you know, apart from God.
- 1:14:06I want him. I want this special gift that's
- 1:14:08going to make me incredibly strong, smart, whatever.
- 1:14:13And it's not through God. It's a it's a separate from God.
- 1:14:18So he had that's the thing. He you'd have to let go of and
- 1:14:21say like I repent of that. I don't want this anymore.
- 1:14:23I realized this was wrong. Maybe he found that in jail, I
- 1:14:26don't know. Have you seen demonic activity
- 1:14:30because of things like abortion or sex?
- 1:14:35You know, immoral sexual activity.
- 1:14:38Those are open door. Of course, those are open doors,
- 1:14:40yeah. Have you had, have you dealt
- 1:14:41with that in the past and what does that looked like?
- 1:14:44What's kind of an example of what that might look like?
- 1:14:48Well, The thing is, this is where people get kind of caught
- 1:14:53up is like, for whatever reason, everybody who commits a certain
- 1:14:59sin doesn't become possessed. But we know that even one mortal
- 1:15:05sin is enough to for a demon to enter and take over.
- 1:15:09Thankfully, that doesn't happen hardly ever, but that's enough.
- 1:15:17You know, this the the taking of life.
- 1:15:20We know now that they're they're the Satanic church is open an
- 1:15:23abortion clinic. So now they're directly offering
- 1:15:26these babies to the devil. We know that witches offer to
- 1:15:30pay for abortion so they can be present in the abortion room and
- 1:15:33they can also offer the baby to the devil.
- 1:15:36Of course, the modern woman would think, well, that's just
- 1:15:39hocus pocus. You know, we know better.
- 1:15:42We're we're cosmopolitan people, that's all.
- 1:15:46We kill our baby. It's.
- 1:15:47Not demonic. Make believe there's no devil.
- 1:15:49I don't know what the witch is doing, but it's not real.
- 1:15:51Well, it is real. I think what we saw at the DNC
- 1:15:57convention when they put the abortion bus in front of the
- 1:16:00convention, to me that was Malek 2 point.
- 1:16:03OI mean it. They dress it up and make it
- 1:16:07look civilized, but it's it's no worse or better than it was 2000
- 1:16:11years ago. So people would say, well, how
- 1:16:16come everybody doesn't get possessed who does these things?
- 1:16:18I said I don't, I don't know. Thank God they don't, but how do
- 1:16:24we know the devil isn't accomplishing what he wants out
- 1:16:26of that? I mean, the idea possession is
- 1:16:28not the end game, it's not the goal of the devil is make
- 1:16:31everybody possessed because as I said, possession doesn't put you
- 1:16:34in hell. The open door that made you
- 1:16:37possess potentially could the send, but then if you repented
- 1:16:41the same and you still and you're still possessed and you
- 1:16:45die, you potentially are not going to hell.
- 1:16:49So that's his goal is not to make everybody possess.
- 1:16:51His goal is to get everybody to go to hell.
- 1:16:55And I would say when we look at our world today to convince
- 1:16:58everybody that you're fine to persist in your behaviors
- 1:17:03because God loves everybody and nobody's going to hell.
- 1:17:07That's a win for the devil. He doesn't need to make all
- 1:17:11these possessed people. In fact, it might wake people up
- 1:17:14to say we we have to change. If everybody started seeing
- 1:17:17everybody around the blocks possessed, people would get
- 1:17:21frightened and they'd run to the church.
- 1:17:23He doesn't want that. But even though he doesn't want
- 1:17:27that, they're still definitively you've been noticing an increase
- 1:17:31in demonic activity. It's like they can't help but
- 1:17:33enjoy the tormenting of these souls and the the antics.
- 1:17:36Because despair is, that's all that is the goal.
- 1:17:40You know, despair is a terrible thing.
- 1:17:42And people give up and they stop praying, and then they even move
- 1:17:46further away from God and they become even more potentially a
- 1:17:50target. So.
- 1:17:51Has there been an exorcism that you've been involved with that
- 1:17:54was particularly, you know, particularly faith bolstering
- 1:17:58for you, meaning the way that you saw God show up in that
- 1:18:02exorcism, overcoming the devil gave you special consolation or
- 1:18:06support, I don't know. If that makes.
- 1:18:09The first one when? Our Lady just, you know, like
- 1:18:12all she has to do is glance in their direction and they are
- 1:18:15gone. And so I often when I have
- 1:18:18discussions with Baptists or Protestants who are like, you
- 1:18:21know, she's just a regular woman.
- 1:18:22Why do you give her so much credit?
- 1:18:24I go, well, I have personal experience that she's not an
- 1:18:27ordinary woman at all. You know, the demons flee from
- 1:18:31her in a way I've never seen before.
- 1:18:34So let's start there and then we can backtrack into theology and
- 1:18:37get the whole picture. You know, I find if you go back
- 1:18:40into the Old Testament scriptures about the mother of
- 1:18:43the king, so Solomon's mother, the mother of the king was
- 1:18:48always the Queen Mother and had particular favor with the king
- 1:18:51and had particular faculties granted her by the king on his
- 1:18:55behalf to make his presence known in the Kingdom.
- 1:19:00And that's really the model that Jesus took for his own
- 1:19:02relationship with his mother. She's not God, she's not divine,
- 1:19:07but she is the Queen Mother. And and that role she has is so
- 1:19:11profoundly powerful in the life of the of everybody because
- 1:19:15she's taking us all as her children.
- 1:19:18And she has such influence and power to dispense grace on our
- 1:19:22behalf. And it just, it's a little sad
- 1:19:25to think that this huge swaths of, of religions that just deny
- 1:19:29her completely because they've been deceived.
- 1:19:33They're literally been deceived and they're, they don't know who
- 1:19:36she is. They will at some point, you
- 1:19:39know, at the end of life. And it'll be a great regret that
- 1:19:41they wasted all these years that they couldn't have included her
- 1:19:44in their life. But it, it, it does grieve me at
- 1:19:47times when I think about it, You know, this woman who wants
- 1:19:49nothing but the best for us. Imagine when she looks down and
- 1:19:53realizes one of the biggest blocks to people fully
- 1:19:59ascending. To giving everything to God is
- 1:20:03is her that they've made her the issue why they won't accept the
- 1:20:09truth of the faith of the Catholic faith.
- 1:20:12That has to be another sword piercing her heart that you
- 1:20:15know, and of course that's his game.
- 1:20:18He can't hurt God, but he can hurt God's children.
- 1:20:23Our Lady of Guadalupe is so fascinating to me because, you
- 1:20:25know, apparition in Mexico, Juan Diego, there's human sacrifice
- 1:20:30happening. You know, the word of her, the
- 1:20:33fame of her appearance, her apparition spreads throughout
- 1:20:36the region. There's millions of conversions.
- 1:20:40They stop quickly. They stop human sacrifice.
- 1:20:43I mean, they're doing brutal human sacrifices to the gods,
- 1:20:45including of children. They stop all of that.
- 1:20:48They become a Catholic nation. I mean, I think about it.
- 1:20:53I think about our country and we we have a million abortions a
- 1:20:56year and I do think she Our Lady of Guadalupe is for excuse me,
- 1:21:02it's for Northern America, you know, obviously for Mexico and
- 1:21:05for America and abortion's happening in Mexico right now in
- 1:21:08the first trimester especially. But you know, was that was Our
- 1:21:14Lady of Guadalupe for America today.
- 1:21:16And are we going to have the conversion that she, you know,
- 1:21:20was instrumental in having for the Aztecs?
- 1:21:23And can we have, you know, can there be another apparition
- 1:21:26soon? Should we pray for that in
- 1:21:28America, the USA to stop the bloodshed here?
- 1:21:31Because it's, it's a, it's a historic amount of bloodshed
- 1:21:34that's happening in the United States right now.
- 1:21:38Well, we can pray for the. I would just say pray for the
- 1:21:44conversion of the world. Just leave it at that.
- 1:21:46I mean, if, if she wants to do it through, if God wants to do
- 1:21:49it through an apparition, fine. But maybe he has another plan.
- 1:21:53You know what I mentioned before that we know her triumph of her
- 1:21:57Immaculate hearts coming. She promised it.
- 1:21:59You know, you want to look at a crazy apparition, go to Our Lady
- 1:22:02of Good Success in Quito, Ecuador.
- 1:22:04Do you know about that one? I do not.
- 1:22:07You can do 5 shows on that alone.
- 1:22:10It's the most insane. Is it approved by the church?
- 1:22:13It's approved by the church, up and down, back and forth.
- 1:22:16Yes. Is it new?
- 1:22:17Is it recent? 400 years ago.
- 1:22:19See, this is the ignorance of so many, including myself.
- 1:22:21But. But but you just don't even
- 1:22:22know. OK, so just a quick synopsis.
- 1:22:25So this a little group of sisters from Spain that go to
- 1:22:30Ecuador. They establish a convent in
- 1:22:33Quito. After some time, the mother
- 1:22:37Superior has an apparition of Our Lady who appears with a
- 1:22:41scepter on one hand, the baby Jesus on the other.
- 1:22:43They were the symbolic, symbolic way she appeared was to mean
- 1:22:47that, you know, she's still the mother of God, but also our
- 1:22:50mother. And she wanted to be the
- 1:22:51superior of this convent with the scepter.
- 1:22:53And she said to them, on the superior, I would like a statue
- 1:22:56made in the image of me with my child Jesus.
- 1:22:59And I want you to go to the Bishop and tell him that I've
- 1:23:04appeared and I would like to be the prioress over this convent.
- 1:23:07And I will protect this convent all, all the years that you're
- 1:23:10faithful. This is 400 years ago.
- 1:23:12And she also said she revealed to her many things about the
- 1:23:15future, literally about the future of Ecuador, that they
- 1:23:21there were coups constantly being overthrown governments.
- 1:23:23It was very chaotic, no stability, she said.
- 1:23:26There will be a man voted in who will be a great Catholic
- 1:23:30president and he will consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart
- 1:23:33and he will be murdered by basically by Muslim terrorists
- 1:23:40of the day, Sassarons or whatever they call them.
- 1:23:44And all these things came to be. This man was elected.
- 1:23:48He's he consecrated the whole country.
- 1:23:50This is a not a priest. This is the president.
- 1:23:52Did he know the man who, the Catholic man who became
- 1:23:54president, that Our Lady had appeared and given this
- 1:23:57prophecy? Don't know that because he she
- 1:24:00also Our Lady also said this will be hidden.
- 1:24:03These everything I'm telling you will go dormant for almost 400
- 1:24:08years and then we'll be very much publicized.
- 1:24:11And most importantly, I'm asking you as sisters of this comment
- 1:24:16to pray for the people of the 20th century.
- 1:24:20That period is when everything will fall apart.
- 1:24:22That is when the sacraments will all but go away.
- 1:24:26Finding a virgin will be very difficult in these years.
- 1:24:30People will not be married in the Church.
- 1:24:32People will not be asking for final rites before death.
- 1:24:34Everything will be just going away.
- 1:24:37And she named all men will dress like women, women like men.
- 1:24:40And they didn't know what she was talking about.
- 1:24:42They didn't even understand what she was saying, but they wrote
- 1:24:44it all down. And then it gets better from
- 1:24:47there because then she finally goes to the, she never went to
- 1:24:51the Bishop she didn't want, she was afraid to tell the Bishop.
- 1:24:53And the third time she didn't, Our Lady appeared to her again
- 1:24:57and then kind of chastised her for her lack of obedience.
- 1:25:02And if you want to motivate a nun, you tell her she's
- 1:25:04disobedient and she will get right into that Bishop's office.
- 1:25:07And she did and finally told him and he kind of embraced it.
- 1:25:12And so she hired an artist to make the statue and he wanted to
- 1:25:17get better paint. So he was going to sail to Spain
- 1:25:19to get better paint, which takes a long time.
- 1:25:22And Our Lady appeared after a few months, said, no, it's too
- 1:25:25long, we have to finish it. And so she brought in angels and
- 1:25:27all the sisters in the kind of watch as angels finished
- 1:25:30painting the statue. And then Francis appeared and
- 1:25:33took off his cincture and and rode the statue with his
- 1:25:37cincture. And then they all sang the Salve
- 1:25:41Regina like an heavenly choir in the loft.
- 1:25:45And then they all disappeared. And to this day, the convents
- 1:25:51never been taken over. It's literally next to the
- 1:25:54presidential palace, which is like the prime real estate of of
- 1:25:56the capital. And they've tried for centuries
- 1:26:00to steal this from the nuns and they can never get it away.
- 1:26:04All these prophecies came true except for the last one.
- 1:26:07The last one was My heart will triumph and the world will
- 1:26:11return to God. That's going to happen.
- 1:26:14That's going to happen, do. You think it's starting to
- 1:26:17happen? It's hell, we're in it.
- 1:26:18We're in it. Isn't that exciting?
- 1:26:20Yes. Yeah, so I keep telling people,
- 1:26:22hold on, you know, hold on. Keep your prayers going.
- 1:26:26I preached on this Sunday. Hope drives perseverance.
- 1:26:32And in the life of the Catholic, it's so critically important,
- 1:26:35especially the days we live. 2025 for perseverance it's the
- 1:26:39number one thing I see taking people out is they give up and
- 1:26:42they say I can't deal with this it's too much I've.
- 1:26:44Had a knife, it's. Too hard, nothing's happening.
- 1:26:47My prayers aren't working. Whereas God, he's sleeping.
- 1:26:51You have to hold. You know, Peter held got back
- 1:26:56up. He came back, he repented.
- 1:26:58Look at Paul. Paul was a terrorist.
- 1:27:00Becomes the greatest evangelizer of the 2000 years, on and on.
- 1:27:07David, murderer, adulterer, eventually repents, finishes his
- 1:27:13life. All of them.
- 1:27:16You know who didn't hold? You know who gave up?
- 1:27:18Judas. You do not want to be in that
- 1:27:20camp. Don't give up.
- 1:27:23Keep going. And again, you have to form
- 1:27:26prayer groups. If you're having a tough time
- 1:27:28alone, invite another two people to come once a week and just
- 1:27:31maybe pray the rosary together so you have a little backup
- 1:27:33system. I think it's important, you
- 1:27:36know, we're a community where a family, God himself is a
- 1:27:39community. And then he was born into a
- 1:27:40family. And yet we've become a very
- 1:27:43isolated culture, right? Because I lived in New York City
- 1:27:48for a dozen years, you know, in apartment buildings that might
- 1:27:53be 4 or 6 or whatever apartments on a floor.
- 1:27:57And I never knew any neighbors. You might see someone coming,
- 1:28:01going, but nobody said hello. Nobody invited you in.
- 1:28:03Nobody was like, hey, what are you doing this weekend?
- 1:28:06Like, it's a very transactional life.
- 1:28:08Like you just do your thing. You kind of live your life and
- 1:28:12you find your friends. And that's not how God wanted us
- 1:28:15to be. We're all part of his family.
- 1:28:18He wants us to come together and be supporting each other,
- 1:28:21lifting each other up, looking out for each other.
- 1:28:24You know, at the wedding of Cana, Our Lady, one of her gifts
- 1:28:27is she's always aware of everybody's needs.
- 1:28:29That's a really good quality. Like if we all had that quality,
- 1:28:32the world would be a different place.
- 1:28:34So there's a lot, there's so much to be hopeful about The the
- 1:28:39media is going to have you focus on everything that's wrong and
- 1:28:42try to drag you down. So you got to keep your, your
- 1:28:46eye on the goal. The goal is Jesus and heaven.
- 1:28:50And if you keep on the goal, you'll get there.
- 1:28:53It sounds like our Lord talks to you a lot.
- 1:28:56You you have a beautiful relationship with our Lord.
- 1:28:59And I'm curious if just when you're going about your daily
- 1:29:03business, especially as an exorcist, if you get insights
- 1:29:06about people and you kind of can tell there's something demonic
- 1:29:09happening here or you get an insight of like, oh, I could I
- 1:29:12should say this word to this person or encourage this person.
- 1:29:15I mean, whatever you're. Willing to share, I'll tell you
- 1:29:17if you're, if you're living out your Catholic vocation, well,
- 1:29:23you should have a radar about you where you can sense radical
- 1:29:27holiness and you can sense radical evil.
- 1:29:30And I think that's across the board.
- 1:29:33Even when I wasn't practicing my faith, I had encounters with
- 1:29:37particularly evil people where it's so it's like the Spider Man
- 1:29:41senses go off and you're just like, whoa, that's dangerous.
- 1:29:45I was on a subway at like 3:00 AM on a platform in New York
- 1:29:48City coming home for a party, and I walked down.
- 1:29:51There's nobody on the platform except one guy about 20 yards to
- 1:29:54my right. I looked at him and he looked at
- 1:29:57me and there literally his face was like I could see the demon
- 1:30:02coming out of his eyes. And it scared the hell out of
- 1:30:06me. And I literally ran up the steps
- 1:30:08and held the cab. I was terrified.
- 1:30:10That's a good thing. That's like preservation.
- 1:30:13Like stay away from something that that is that evil.
- 1:30:17Similarly, I've been in the presence of people where you
- 1:30:22just can sense that there's such a powerful anointing of God on
- 1:30:25them and it just is like seeping out of them where you can sense
- 1:30:29the holiness. And it's so attractive because
- 1:30:31you're like, oh, I, I have to talk to this person.
- 1:30:33I want to just know what they're about, What are they doing?
- 1:30:36And, you know, give me a word or something.
- 1:30:40And that's a good thing. Having said that, I've had
- 1:30:46instances where there's unusual awareness of something that's
- 1:30:50going on. And sometimes it'll be just a,
- 1:30:55a, a verse in a song that jumps out of the radio where you're
- 1:30:58really not paying attention. Then you hear that line, you're
- 1:31:00like, Oh yes, yes, I needed to hear that.
- 1:31:04Or one day I was heading to a very volatile meeting that was
- 1:31:07going to be absolute carnage and chaos, and I'm driving and I'm
- 1:31:13thinking, oh the Lord, this is going to be a disaster.
- 1:31:15Please an exorcism or just like a HR thing?
- 1:31:19It was a diocesan thing. And there was a, there was a
- 1:31:22group of people that wanted to throw me out of a parish and
- 1:31:24there was a hostile meeting and, and I knew it was going to be
- 1:31:29bad because it was sort of like all the worst of the worst.
- 1:31:32And there was nobody really representing me.
- 1:31:35And I'm driving up to this meeting and I come to a red
- 1:31:41light and I look up at the car in front of me and the license
- 1:31:44plate. Well, I'll never forget it was
- 1:31:46HVF 8 TH have faith. And I just looked at it and
- 1:31:53went, oh wow, that's great. I like that.
- 1:31:57And then I got closer to the to the Catholic center.
- 1:32:02I had one more red light and the truck in front of me had a big
- 1:32:06sign on the back and said help is on the way.
- 1:32:08And I was like, this is very interesting.
- 1:32:11I'm like, I'm, I'm choosing to believe this is not coincidence.
- 1:32:14And I think a lot of people don't do that.
- 1:32:16They go with coincidence doesn't mean anything for me.
- 1:32:19It meant everything. And that meeting sort of
- 1:32:22horrendous. Just ranting and raving at me
- 1:32:27how they hated the Saint Michael prayer.
- 1:32:28They wanted it stopped. So it was terrifying their
- 1:32:31children. I just sat there for an hour.
- 1:32:34I was berated in front of the chancellor, the administrator,
- 1:32:39the diocesan lawyer, everybody. And and then all of a sudden it
- 1:32:44just took a turn and the the lawyer said, well, we've heard
- 1:32:50all of your complaints. And honestly, I think the same I
- 1:32:54compare is to protect people. And honestly, the only people I
- 1:32:58think are afraid of it is the devil.
- 1:33:00So where don't know what's going on with your kids.
- 1:33:05And then it just kind of said, well, that's that's it.
- 1:33:07We're done. And I thank you all for coming.
- 1:33:09And they said, you know, Father, you're free to go with we don't
- 1:33:12think anything's wrong. Bye.
- 1:33:13It was very weird. And I knew it was like that was
- 1:33:18the prayer and just the trust. And yeah, the the most
- 1:33:25interesting or weird or crazy thing that ever happened.
- 1:33:28I'm giving a Sunday homily and in the middle of my homily, I
- 1:33:33hear a voice. I don't know if it was Jesus or
- 1:33:39the Father, but he was, I was God.
- 1:33:40I can, I kind of know when it's him.
- 1:33:42I can't differentiate between the people all the time, but I,
- 1:33:45I can tell it's definitely God. And he says, there's somebody in
- 1:33:50the congregation who's going to kill themselves today.
- 1:33:53Tell them not to do it. Tell them that they're to have
- 1:33:57hope and that life is about to change.
- 1:33:59And I just kind of like, I'm ignoring this, thinking what is
- 1:34:02this is like, who is this? And I'm trying to concentrate on
- 1:34:05delivering A homily, which, you know, you, you can't just stop
- 1:34:09and like, hold on, I'm I'm hearing something.
- 1:34:11You look like a lunatic. So I keep going and it's second
- 1:34:15time tell them to have hope and that life is going to change.
- 1:34:19Do not kill yourself. I'm just like, who does this?
- 1:34:24Like I And then I just said, you know what, I'm just going to try
- 1:34:28to do this as casually as possible.
- 1:34:29I said, you know what, I'm going to pause here because I'm just
- 1:34:33getting a sense there's somebody out there who right now is
- 1:34:36considering suicide. And the Lord is telling me he
- 1:34:40has a plan for you and to stop these thoughts and to have hope
- 1:34:45that your life's about to change.
- 1:34:47OK, I'm going back to the homily.
- 1:34:50So aftermath, do you know, three people came up to me and said
- 1:34:54that was for me, not 1/3 like with tears in their eyes.
- 1:35:00I was just like, like, it was actually terrifying to think if
- 1:35:07I hadn't said it, like I could be dealing with three funerals
- 1:35:10the next week. So it's just like, whoa, that
- 1:35:14that kind of that kind of that stuff scares me because it's a
- 1:35:17test. Do I have enough courage, wine
- 1:35:20and trust too, to believe? Is it really you, Lord?
- 1:35:22And then should I really do it? So.
- 1:35:26What if sometimes it's not the Lord and it is our imagination,
- 1:35:28but it's still moral. It's not like it's that the
- 1:35:30voice is saying go, you know, punch a puppy.
- 1:35:32It's like a, you know, go say hi to that Lady, you know, go give
- 1:35:36a go, give a word of encouragement to that person
- 1:35:38over there. Like it's something that's you
- 1:35:40know, and you're like, is that just like, you know me, you
- 1:35:43know, thinking thoughts or is that really the Lord?
- 1:35:45And I'm really busy right now. I guess maybe the. 22 thoughts
- 1:35:49on that one is if it's a good action that would give glory to
- 1:35:56God, even if it's not God, it's it's good.
- 1:35:59OK, that's good. The caveat to that is the devil
- 1:36:03can spin your wheels where you're spending the whole day
- 1:36:05chasing these fascinations of doing all these things and it's
- 1:36:09really distracting from the one thing God really wants you to
- 1:36:11do. That would be the danger.
- 1:36:13So if it's, if it's a constant like, go do this, go do.
- 1:36:16That that's like. OK, this is normal because I'm
- 1:36:19no longer living my life. I'm just chasing these these
- 1:36:22thoughts and then it that doesn't seem like the Lord.
- 1:36:25He doesn't operate like that. He's we don't see an example in
- 1:36:28scripture of him just constantly, you know, all the
- 1:36:30time to go do this, go do that, go do this, go do that.
- 1:36:33It's. Chaotic.
- 1:36:34It's not how it works. Yeah, and it's a little bit too
- 1:36:36random and it's not qualified the way.
- 1:36:40Once off here and there, fine, But once I was going downtown to
- 1:36:46work in the winter, it was super cold.
- 1:36:49I'm coming down Wall Street from Broadway and.
- 1:36:54It was before the priesthood. Oh yeah, post conversion, but
- 1:36:57before priesthood and the Lord said there's a homeless man in
- 1:37:02the park under the big the biggest pine tree and he's going
- 1:37:05to die if he doesn't get inside. And I'm like thinking same
- 1:37:10thing. Like what is this?
- 1:37:12Is this like? But I, you know, I'm like, I
- 1:37:15don't normally think things like that ever.
- 1:37:17So I'm like, it's coming from somebody.
- 1:37:19It's not me. I'm just worried about getting
- 1:37:21to work and diving into my day. So I say, fine, I'm going to
- 1:37:24walk into the park, the little park at the bottom of wall.
- 1:37:28I'm looking for the biggest tree.
- 1:37:29There it is. I look under the tree, there's a
- 1:37:30guy there and he's not clothed for winter.
- 1:37:33He's dressed in like, you know, like AT shirt and a flannel.
- 1:37:36And he's lying on the ground, looks like he looks dead, but
- 1:37:39he's asleep and it's like 20°. So I wake him up and I go, hey,
- 1:37:43you can't stay here. It's freezing out.
- 1:37:46So I took him over to the lobby across from where my office was
- 1:37:49that had one of those. You know, you walk through the
- 1:37:53doors and then there's like a heated section and then the next
- 1:37:55set of doors gets you into the building.
- 1:37:57So I put him in the heated section.
- 1:37:59I took off my coat and a big wool coat.
- 1:38:01I gave him the coat and I said, here, keep the coat, but just
- 1:38:04stay in here till you warm up. And then I went was going to run
- 1:38:07across the back, go to my where I work halfway across the
- 1:38:11street. I realized my keys are in my
- 1:38:12coat and like, so I go running back and he sees me coming and
- 1:38:16he had a look of such despair, like I was going to take the
- 1:38:20coat from him. I mean, literally his face just
- 1:38:23got so sad. And I said, hey, hey, hey, I'm
- 1:38:26not taking the coat, but my keys I have to take.
- 1:38:29And I reached in the pocket, took my keys.
- 1:38:30I said that's why I want it. And he like was so happy again
- 1:38:36to my office and I walked into the lake.
- 1:38:38You know, did you come here without a coat?
- 1:38:40And I'm like, no, it's, it's across the street.
- 1:38:42Don't. It's a long story, but you know,
- 1:38:46you only have to have a few of those where you're like, this is
- 1:38:48real. Like I couldn't have invented
- 1:38:51that guy sleeping under the big tree.
- 1:38:53It's crazy. You think the Lord would talk to
- 1:38:55more of us that way if we had the willingness to listen to the
- 1:38:58faith? And the more you step out, the
- 1:39:00more he'll he'll keep using you. But the more you fear it and the
- 1:39:05more you shut it down, the the less you know.
- 1:39:08To the to those who have much, I'll give more.
- 1:39:10To those who have even a little, I'll take it away if they're not
- 1:39:13using it. How should someone discern if
- 1:39:17they're dealing with a situation where they're like, fearful that
- 1:39:20it might be the devil involved, but they're not sure.
- 1:39:24What would you recommend that they do?
- 1:39:27And this could be something, anything between like hearing
- 1:39:30noises in the night towards erratic behavior from someone
- 1:39:33that they love towards, you know, something really dark
- 1:39:36happened in the family and they're afraid it's going to
- 1:39:38affect them or their kids, you know, any number of things.
- 1:39:42I think the the best advice for any situation is you take
- 1:39:44everything to Jesus, say everything to Jesus, say, Lord,
- 1:39:48this is on my heart. This is, this is disturbing me.
- 1:39:51This is frightening me. I maybe this is you asked me to
- 1:39:55do something, but I want to double check with you.
- 1:39:57You know, I always say the best part of discernment is take
- 1:39:59everything to God and roll it, run it past him and, and then
- 1:40:03say, I'm not sure yet. I need a sign from you or just
- 1:40:06direct me or open a door that I'll walk through and, and I'm
- 1:40:10happy to do it, but I want to make sure I'm serving you and
- 1:40:12only you. That's fair.
- 1:40:15You know, because he knows we're weak and we're not perfect at
- 1:40:18discerning and listening and understanding what his will is
- 1:40:22in all things. So like, but if you always bring
- 1:40:25it to like, look, if Eve went back to God and said, Hey, this
- 1:40:29this serpent's telling me you're holding out on us with that
- 1:40:33tree. And you know, the father would
- 1:40:36have said, no, he's lying to you because he wants to destroy you.
- 1:40:39Oh OK, well we're not going to go back to him then.
- 1:40:43Would have been a different scenario.
- 1:40:46Write it past the Lord. And for somebody that maybe
- 1:40:49isn't Catholic, but they are concerned that there is like
- 1:40:53demonic activity happening. And I know some like non
- 1:40:56Catholic Christian friends who they do their own deliverance
- 1:40:59prayers. They feel like they have a
- 1:41:00meaningful way to do their own form of spiritual warfare.
- 1:41:03They invoke scripture, holy scripture.
- 1:41:05They, you know, call on God. You know, they call on the name
- 1:41:08of Jesus. Do you think that that can be
- 1:41:11effective? And at what point do you think
- 1:41:15an exorcist should be called like an official exorcist, not
- 1:41:18just someone who says I do deliverance ministry?
- 1:41:21OK, like I, I don't think that maybe I didn't mention her
- 1:41:25today, but it's a Catherine of Siena was a layperson.
- 1:41:28When the exorcist couldn't get the demons out, they sent them
- 1:41:30to her and she just one look from her and they went.
- 1:41:33So she's the anomaly. She's not the standard, but God
- 1:41:37can work outside the box too. He doesn't.
- 1:41:39He's not boxed in by what we proclaim to be the way we do
- 1:41:42things. But having said that, if you
- 1:41:45don't know what you're doing and you're not prepared, you can get
- 1:41:49a lot of trouble. So if you go to like Acts 18,
- 1:41:52the sons of Skiva, those guys were watching the apostles drive
- 1:41:57back to even say, oh, we should do it, too.
- 1:41:59But they didn't know Jesus. And the demons knew that.
- 1:42:02And they said, well, who are you?
- 1:42:03We Jesus? We know, and Paul, too, but we
- 1:42:05don't know you. And then started beating them
- 1:42:07and stripped them of their clothes.
- 1:42:09They ran into the house naked and screaming and bruised.
- 1:42:12That didn't work out well. So like, if you don't know what
- 1:42:15you're doing and you're directly going to go against what the
- 1:42:18church is asking you to do, you could be putting yourself out on
- 1:42:21a limb. Father Chad Ripperger, I
- 1:42:24believe, has the best book about deliverance for the lady that's
- 1:42:27ever been written. Go by the book.
- 1:42:30Read the instructions at the beginning.
- 1:42:31Don't skip them. He gives you what authority you
- 1:42:34have as a layperson, as a married person, as a parent,
- 1:42:38Very clear. And the prayers are very good.
- 1:42:40The best and then follow that. Now supplication is a different
- 1:42:45story that's asking the father to do it.
- 1:42:47We can do that in every situation where we're asking
- 1:42:49father deliver us from this evil that's in the our father any
- 1:42:53situation that you're afraid of anything and all you can always
- 1:42:55go straight to the Father say Father help me protect me from
- 1:42:59this evil Saint Michael the Archangel come to our
- 1:43:01assistance. Jesus cover me in your blood.
- 1:43:03Mary, cover me in your mantle protection like all those are
- 1:43:05very powerful good prayers. Psalm 91, brilliantly written
- 1:43:11Psalm about protection over you, your family, your property, your
- 1:43:14life. So we have what we need and it's
- 1:43:18a big basket of like weapons and armaments, but for each
- 1:43:24situation it might be a little different.
- 1:43:27But living out your Christian identity to the fullest is the
- 1:43:31best protection you have. Because when you, like Catherine
- 1:43:35said, you know you're you manfully alive is the glory of
- 1:43:40God. When you're fully living out
- 1:43:42your identity as a son or daughter of God, the demons will
- 1:43:45fear you, fear you, they'll be frightened of you.
- 1:43:50Their power will be diminished because of your reflecting the
- 1:43:53glory of God out into the world. So nothing to fear.
- 1:43:58How do you keep up your health physically, emotionally,
- 1:44:03spiritually while you're doing exorcisms and your, you know,
- 1:44:08serving your parish and you're on the road?
- 1:44:11Thankfully, we get your presence here.
- 1:44:13You're going to be doing retreats, you're doing
- 1:44:15conferences, you're doing interviews.
- 1:44:18And I'm sure the devil, like you were saying earlier, like the
- 1:44:20devil hates you. I mean, he hates any child of
- 1:44:23God, right? But he he really probably hates
- 1:44:25exorcists. We know from Revelation 12 if
- 1:44:30you want to know who he really hates, the scripture tells us he
- 1:44:33went off to wage war against the woman and her children.
- 1:44:36Those who obey the commands of God and are witness of Jesus
- 1:44:40Christ. That's not every Catholic
- 1:44:45because not everybody is obeying.
- 1:44:47The 70% of the church doesn't go to church, so that's he's not
- 1:44:51after them. He's after the ones who are
- 1:44:53actually living out their true Christian identity as a disciple
- 1:44:57of Jesus. And the woman and her children
- 1:45:00is Mary. Or is it any what in that in
- 1:45:04Revelation? Is Mary and we're the children.
- 1:45:07That's it. Discipline is very important.
- 1:45:13So spiritually, you know, I get up every morning at 4:30, I'm in
- 1:45:17the church at 5:30 and I have a holy hour that goes till 7:00
- 1:45:23and then I go in the confessional and the holy hour
- 1:45:25continues for the public till 8. Benediction at 7:45.
- 1:45:29Mass confession is in there. That's every day but Sunday
- 1:45:34because Sunday is just a different day because of the
- 1:45:36schedule with the, the Sunday Masses.
- 1:45:38And now that's important. So like I started that when I
- 1:45:43was in Boston. The priest up there taught me
- 1:45:45that the holy hour, this is just for anybody, not for priests, is
- 1:45:50so critical to engage God in a unique personal way.
- 1:45:56That's, you know, not the mass. The Mass is the greatest that
- 1:45:59happens on earth, and yet people leave Mass and are having fights
- 1:46:03in the parking lot. So like, what is that about?
- 1:46:06No, the deep conversion is happening in the contemplative
- 1:46:09private prayer time with the Lord where he's refashioning our
- 1:46:12hearts and turning us into the disciples he wanted us to be,
- 1:46:16making us Saints. And so that's really important.
- 1:46:19And some people say, I have no time for that.
- 1:46:21Well, everybody has 24 hours in a day.
- 1:46:23The, the Holy Father, the President of United States, you,
- 1:46:27me, everybody, it's, it's where you put your priorities is what
- 1:46:31you're going to do. And so if you really think it's
- 1:46:34important, which I think it is, you're going to do it, make time
- 1:46:37for it. And if you can't get to a
- 1:46:39church, maybe you don't live near a church.
- 1:46:40It's still, you can still do that in the privacy of your own
- 1:46:43home. Just shut the door, keep the
- 1:46:45phone away and, and make time for prayer and for speaking to
- 1:46:49the Lord and asking him to speak back because it, it makes a big
- 1:46:53difference. It, it literally changes you.
- 1:46:55Now, if you get before the Eucharist, all the better
- 1:46:57because it's like going to the beach.
- 1:46:59You may not feel the sun, but that evening when you sit down
- 1:47:02for dinner and you're bright red or tan, you realize something
- 1:47:06was happening there. I didn't even perceive it.
- 1:47:09And when we sit before the sun, the SON, the same things
- 1:47:12happening. Some people say I just feel like
- 1:47:14nothing's happening. It doesn't matter what you think
- 1:47:18or feel. It's what actually is happening,
- 1:47:20which he's transforming, not just you.
- 1:47:23I believe he told Saint John Vianney and every holy hour
- 1:47:26where we sit with the Lord before his eucharistic presence,
- 1:47:29he sends out graces to every person on the planet.
- 1:47:33Could you imagine profound right.
- 1:47:37Whether they're received or not is another story, but he they're
- 1:47:39being sent out and and something is happening that we can't
- 1:47:42perceive. So that's this and the rosary is
- 1:47:46non negotiable. If you're not praying your
- 1:47:48rosary every day, you're failing in some way of your full
- 1:47:53potential. Because Our Lady said for those
- 1:47:57who pray the rosary, she will protect.
- 1:47:59But she's not just talking, you know, physically.
- 1:48:01She's talking about protecting their place in heaven.
- 1:48:06When I heard that years ago, I was just like, you know, I don't
- 1:48:09have anything against the rosary.
- 1:48:11But like, why the why? Why not the Mass?
- 1:48:13Why not adoration? Why not?
- 1:48:16There's so many things. What why, why is it the rosary?
- 1:48:19And then COVID happened and it, it blew my like that came back
- 1:48:24to me like 100 lbs of bricks on my head.
- 1:48:28This is something you can do even when you have nothing.
- 1:48:31Everything's taken from you. You can even be in prison and
- 1:48:34you can still pray the rosary. And I think that was the
- 1:48:37foresight because, you know, heaven knows what's coming.
- 1:48:42And it made sense to me. I go this is something
- 1:48:44universally that everybody can do in any state of life,
- 1:48:47wherever they are, no matter what's happening to them, nobody
- 1:48:50can take it away. Made sense though.
- 1:48:54When we first sat down, father, we had a conversation about how
- 1:48:59you know your life is. There were a lot of weird
- 1:49:02things, not weird things. I don't want to over
- 1:49:03spiritualize it, but they were just like, you know, some clacks
- 1:49:07and clanks and noises and, you know, annoyances, you know,
- 1:49:11during our interview and against our studio isn't perfect.
- 1:49:13We have that. We've had that before,
- 1:49:15obviously, but there was it was kind of a lot of it.
- 1:49:17So you're kind of joking. Oh, you know, you're like, this
- 1:49:19is life, You know, wherever you go, you're, you got sometimes a
- 1:49:23unusual amount of annoyance. Interference.
- 1:49:26Interference. How do you tell if something is
- 1:49:29interference for you? I don't know if you maybe dwell
- 1:49:33even too much on it. You just kind of smooth sailing,
- 1:49:35keep going regardless of what it gets thrown at you.
- 1:49:37But you know, do you think the devil does throw like random
- 1:49:41annoying frustrations at you just to strip you up?
- 1:49:45I think everybody, and for a lot of people, they take the bait
- 1:49:48and they get frustrated, angry and wind up cursing or flipping
- 1:49:51somebody off or rant and rave. I'm at the point now where I'm
- 1:49:55just like, Lord, I'm here to serve you.
- 1:49:59I came to do this. Let it be.
- 1:50:02It's, it's all your, it's for you.
- 1:50:05So you get to choose. You're going to let him continue
- 1:50:07behaving like a spoiled brat? Or can we just do this and get
- 1:50:11it done? Occasionally I do take authority
- 1:50:13over some spirits. I learned this with my mother,
- 1:50:17very holy woman. And whenever she would be typing
- 1:50:21up some kind of a prayer protocol or a teaching she would
- 1:50:26give at a prayer group, her computer would jam up and she
- 1:50:29would call me, you know, 700 miles away.
- 1:50:33My computer's jammed you. What do I do?
- 1:50:36And I go, Mom, you have children that live 10 miles from you.
- 1:50:40Why are you calling me? It's go.
- 1:50:43I don't know, because you always seem to know what to do.
- 1:50:45And I go, I would go through the normal reboot, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:50:48And then one day I said, did you take?
- 1:50:50It's always some prayerful things.
- 1:50:51You never call me because I'm trying to print out a recipe.
- 1:50:54What Take authority of the Christian, bind all spirits in
- 1:50:57Jesus name, a blockage in games and see what happens.
- 1:50:59And she would do it and the thing would open up and print.
- 1:51:03And then she called me a month later saying probably go, did
- 1:51:05you take authority over those spirits?
- 1:51:06You go, oh, I didn't do it. I go, go ahead and do it.
- 1:51:09And she would do it and they would print and I would say, I
- 1:51:12think God's trying to teach you here and me too, because I'm in
- 1:51:15on it. And that stuff is real.
- 1:51:18And when you see it and it and it actually works after you take
- 1:51:21the authority it, it's a big wake up call.
- 1:51:24Like this is real. The power is real.
- 1:51:26And, and this could be like a special, like the seemingly
- 1:51:30extra obstacles when you're trying to like make it to Mass,
- 1:51:33do your prayer or do something that you believe God's calling
- 1:51:36you to do. Or even something as simple as
- 1:51:38being. If you have a wildly outrageous
- 1:51:40series of events that just come out of nowhere and you have to
- 1:51:44always tested against like is this normal or not?
- 1:51:48And if if your computer is only jamming when you're printing
- 1:51:50something holy, you have to start realizing it doesn't do
- 1:51:54this for recipes or pictures of the kids.
- 1:51:57It's only doing it for this stuff, then you should do the
- 1:52:00prayer. Similarly in life, sometimes I
- 1:52:04don't even do the deliverance prayers.
- 1:52:05I just say let there be light. I've been in situations where I
- 1:52:09see things are like barreling out of control and people are
- 1:52:13getting like crazy, you know, even in not even church stuff,
- 1:52:16just out in the world and I'm just like, let there be light
- 1:52:19and everything goes and I just walk away.
- 1:52:25This God promised his word is a power.
- 1:52:29It's him, it's Jesus. So it's there for you to to it's
- 1:52:35a weapon. You can pick it up and use it or
- 1:52:37you can leave it at holstered. It's up to you.
- 1:52:40Father, you've been extremely generous with your time.
- 1:52:43Can I ask you one more question? One more question, OK.
- 1:52:48Is there a story you can share? You've shared a few of them in
- 1:52:51this interview, but is there another story you can share with
- 1:52:54us of someone? And you mentioned our Land of
- 1:52:57Guadalupe, that story, which was amazing, but someone who you saw
- 1:53:01them have a conversion because of your work, learning about the
- 1:53:06realities of spiritual combat, of the way that God works in
- 1:53:10this world. You've said before we sat down
- 1:53:13for this interview, you were sharing that you get sometimes
- 1:53:15hundreds of emails a week from people talking about, you know,
- 1:53:20wanting to meet with you, also sharing about how because of you
- 1:53:23and seeing your ministry, they're coming back to faith.
- 1:53:25So I know you probably have a lot of stories, but is there a
- 1:53:28story that comes to mind that you want to share about a
- 1:53:30conversion that you've seen or? I'll just tell you this is even
- 1:53:35better than one story. Like there's a work of the Holy
- 1:53:37Spirit happening right now that I've never seen before, where
- 1:53:42there's just random people all over the country.
- 1:53:46I would say even over the world. I had somebody that they just
- 1:53:49this past week call from Sweden saying can I fly in so you can
- 1:53:52pray with me? And I was like, no, please don't
- 1:53:55waste your money like that. But this and these are not like
- 1:54:00churchgoers. These are not like they're not
- 1:54:03practicing Catholics. They're just ordinary people
- 1:54:07who've fallen away from whatever faith they had or had none.
- 1:54:10And suddenly God is tapping their hearts and they're
- 1:54:13responding in grace. And they're seeing it from
- 1:54:15media, like a media thing. It's going through social media,
- 1:54:19it's going through these podcasts, through the YouTube
- 1:54:22interview, the Shawn Ryan's, the Michael Knowles, all of them.
- 1:54:26And I actually had to hire someone to go through the daily
- 1:54:31emails and put them in buckets of like this is the this is DAS
- 1:54:35and you have to respond this quick.
- 1:54:37This is parish related. It needs a response by this is
- 1:54:41outside our jurisdiction. But I can give them
- 1:54:44encouragement and I have some nice words to give those people.
- 1:54:49Just some people didn't feel like they were abandoned.
- 1:54:51It would be a horrible thing for the Spirit to tap somebody's
- 1:54:54heart open to to coming back to God.
- 1:54:56And then it gets sidelined because nobody responded to them
- 1:55:00and they thought, I guess it wasn't meant to be.
- 1:55:03So that's a real thing that's happening.
- 1:55:06And so it's hard, you know, I'm, we're all busy, but the end of
- 1:55:12the day when people go home and watch TV or do whatever they can
- 1:55:15do, a lot of nights I'm just, I'm pulling these buckets of
- 1:55:19lists and dropping in information and examination of
- 1:55:25consciousness and sending them out to people.
- 1:55:27For a while, I was even finding the church closest to them that
- 1:55:30they could go to. And I even contacted a few of
- 1:55:33the priests to say I'm going to send somebody to you.
- 1:55:36And, and that's an interesting too, because one of the priests
- 1:55:40I contacted was David Michael Moses.
- 1:55:44There was somebody in Houston that wanted to come back to the
- 1:55:45church. I didn't know who he was.
- 1:55:50He didn't really know who I was. But that the very day I sent the
- 1:55:53e-mail and I, I followed up the next day and as I was calling
- 1:55:58him, he picks up the phone. He goes, this is so weird.
- 1:56:01I'm literally watching your interview for the first time and
- 1:56:05you just called me and I said oh hi, nice with.
- 1:56:07Knowles or Ryan or which one? I think it was Knowles.
- 1:56:10It was about a year. Ago.
- 1:56:11Amazing. And I said, can you, can I give
- 1:56:14this person over? I want to make sure that the
- 1:56:16ball doesn't get dropped. He's like 100% pass him over.
- 1:56:19And those are really. And then we became friends and
- 1:56:22it was like more than just the pass off.
- 1:56:23It was like, I, you know, I got to know him and I enjoy, you
- 1:56:29know, emailing him back and forth on things, but God has a
- 1:56:34million layers deeper than what we think he's doing.
- 1:56:38You know, we could be thinking, I'm just responding to this
- 1:56:40person in the process. He's setting up a whole another
- 1:56:43thing that he wants to do. And like, just like Our Lady
- 1:56:46said, let it be done. If we could all respond to God
- 1:56:49that way, just let it be done according to your word.
- 1:56:51Lord, I, I am available. Use me and just open the doors
- 1:56:56and let me walk through. Like it's a great way to live.
- 1:56:59It takes a lot of the pressure off too, because it's like I
- 1:57:01don't have to orchestrate anything.
- 1:57:02I'm just going to walk through the door you open and I'll do
- 1:57:04whatever you want. Just put it together.
- 1:57:07Pretty exciting life, right? Yeah.
- 1:57:11Yeah. Amazing Father, Thank you.
- 1:57:14You're welcome. It was a.
- 1:57:15Pleasure, thank you so much. Where can people find or follow
- 1:57:17you? Battle Ready Radio Maria USA.
- 1:57:21Amazing. Every day, five days a week,
- 1:57:23live. And then there's the normal
- 1:57:26stuff, the Instagram, the YouTube channel we put up, the
- 1:57:30radio interviews that we record with video and get dropped up
- 1:57:34there, and the Sunday homilies get put up there too.
- 1:57:36So there's plenty out there. And it's not just me, there's
- 1:57:39all these other like you. Like one of my favorite priests
- 1:57:43is Michael O'Connor, Daniel, Lady of Gulfport.
- 1:57:47I could listen to him preach all day long.
- 1:57:49I got to check him out. Yeah.
- 1:57:50Thank you so much. Thank you.
