- 0:02Last time on no latency. Laying on the other hand, I
- 0:06gotta get out of here. Well, shoot them, Jeb.
- 0:08Dodge this. I don't know what we're doing,
- 0:10but I like it, Dan. Oh, that's not a dusk, is it?
- 0:13That's a treadmill. Hey, how those one liners doing
- 0:15over there for you, Walker, turn it on and throw him onto it?
- 0:17But I really do think you're doing it on purpose.
- 0:19Oh, Walker, lost your likes. What was that?
- 0:21Cybernetic, creepy animals. I'm sure it's something that we
- 0:24will have to deal with. What's?
- 0:25This table made out. Of I could definitely use a
- 0:28hand. I really want to strangle this
- 0:29guy. Have a broken leg.
- 0:31I'm struggling. Stop struggling.
- 0:32He did hand over his guns. Says the market.
- 0:35Well, that's probably the ticket for the night market.
- 0:37So I'm gonna need you to hand over yours does anything that we
- 0:39should take the computer. We're sure we're not getting
- 0:46paid for this one. Let's take it.
- 0:41And I think not killing everyone we come across might be a good.
- 0:46We're good people now, Jeb. We're good people.
- 1:02OK, Jeb, hurry. The live stream's almost over.
- 1:06Hurry. Alright, just OK, let me do a
- 1:07let me do a sweet black drift into the parking lot.
- 1:11Come. On.
- 1:11Come on, she's going to take less time.
- 1:17Come on, the elevator. OK, well if I had, if I had a
- 1:23button right now to press that would do an ejector seat, I
- 1:26would. But we got to get out of the car
- 1:28physically with our own two legs.
- 1:31All right. Sorry.
- 1:33Sorry, Iona. I'm really sorry.
- 1:35I just want to see the end of the thing.
- 1:36I know, I I know. Just I I scooch.
- 1:39I scooch over so you can get out first, OK?
- 1:43Ping ping. Where's the remote?
- 1:44Here it is in mind. And so the murder was solved.
- 1:52What a mystery. Join us again next.
- 1:54Time on mysteries of Night. Change the channel.
- 1:59Sorry, we missed it. I'll change the channel.
- 2:04This is Network 54 with your host April Anonymous.
- 2:08Good. Afternoon Night Study.
- 2:10This is Network 54 and I'm April Anonymous.
- 2:14NC Space has seen a dip in their stock this week as an NC space
- 2:18insurance claim leaks security concerns after an abandoned
- 2:22Arasaka vehicle was discovered after last month's launch.
- 2:26However, no official announcement has been made.
- 2:29More on this as it develops. It's.
- 2:32Shopping season again in Night City as Mr. Keriken's quarterly
- 2:36market is this evening. This exclusive market features
- 2:39rare items and even rarer guests.
- 2:42With only a handful invited to this exclusive event, it's sure
- 2:46to be a night to remember TuneIn later this week to hear all the
- 2:50scoops. With Gabriel Steele on Rumor 54,
- 2:54we expect instant tea to be hot, hot hot.
- 2:58Get your cups ready, chums. And hey, Mr. Kiligan, maybe next
- 3:02time send me an invite. I'd love to shop your floor
- 3:05sometime. This has been Network 54 and I'm
- 3:09April Anonymous. Always remember.
- 3:12If a. Robot tells a joke.
- 3:13In a deserted factory and no humans are around to laugh.
- 3:17Does it experience artificial humor?
- 3:21Something to think about. Well, at least we didn't miss
- 3:28April. Oh yeah, I'm glad that we got to
- 3:32see April. They always seem to inform us
- 3:34just the right time of what we need.
- 3:36You know what? I always appreciate that they're
- 3:38always, you know, middle of the role.
- 3:39They don't take stances. They just give us the facts.
- 3:43Yeah. I mean, if you knew April, you
- 3:47might not say that. It's just a professional, you
- 3:50know? Have you Have you all met April?
- 3:53I've met April. April is a personal friend of
- 3:56mine. Wow.
- 3:59It's pretty cool. You know, like an actual, like a
- 4:01media celebrity in Night City. I don't know if you know this,
- 4:05but I'm kind of a big deal. This is true.
- 4:11This is true. You did kind of help us get to
- 4:16space and get us through like biotechnical Labs and like, I
- 4:19don't know why everyone laughed though, when I said that.
- 4:23I think it's. Still, I mean, you're probably
- 4:26the coolest of us all. I mean, let's be honest.
- 4:28It was Sano because he was, you know, he had that kind of like,
- 4:31I don't give a fuck energy, which is extremely cool, but you
- 4:35know, once Sano died, I think it was you.
- 4:38Sano. I think, I think you're
- 4:39definitely the coolest of salt that.
- 4:43Thank you. It's really nice, I suppose.
- 4:47Man, no problem. All right?
- 4:49Is this what you're wearing tonight?
- 4:52Yeah, what's What's wrong with that?
- 4:54Yeah, it's just my I got my regular cowboy hat.
- 4:56My, I mean, I haven't changed, really.
- 4:59I have two dusters and I just go back and forth.
- 5:02What? Does the ticket say in terms of
- 5:03like? Dress code.
- 5:05Dress code. Usually it happens 4 * a year.
- 5:09Jeb, Yes, all right. Well, so does the Olympics.
- 5:12And that those guys don't have a dress code.
- 5:15I you guys talk to every each other.
- 5:16I don't know what anyone said. Something about wearing stuff.
- 5:21It's four times a year. Oh, it's quarterly.
- 5:25Well, that's like, I mean, that's more often than the
- 5:29Olympics, the. Yeah, it's like.
- 5:32I mean, everyone's really excited about it.
- 5:33You can see, hear the fireworks in the street.
- 5:36Yeah, they're really I they're really annoying, honestly.
- 5:40The fireworks with the and the fireworks.
- 5:42I hate them, just ruin it. They.
- 5:46Used to like a poopy. Yes.
- 5:55Puppies sound like fireworks. I'm.
- 5:57I'm looking at the ticket. What does it say?
- 6:00And and V P's got a really nice coat.
- 6:02Haha, no it. Says a BC party.
- 6:07Oh sorry, this is different. Different invite What are you
- 6:10looking at? What were you invited?
- 6:12To the. Reason.
- 6:13That's your spam folder, Jeb. I probably would put that away.
- 6:17That's probably a trap. So because you're famous.
- 6:22Right. I do forget that.
- 6:25Which maybe makes me more down to earth and then that maybe
- 6:28makes me more famous. Perhaps.
- 6:32Which also makes you more susceptible to being murdered,
- 6:35Jeb. Oh, that's all right.
- 6:37I've been, I've been. People have been trying to
- 6:38murder me for, gosh, pretty much my entire adult life.
- 6:43Yeah. What does this ticket say?
- 6:47The ticket has an encrypted algorithm on it.
- 6:50Remy, what does this ticket say? Well, it says one plus entourage
- 6:56and then there's a little chip in that inspection with the
- 7:00chip. OK, I'll just go ahead and I'll
- 7:03shove it in my mouth and see what happens.
- 7:05Well, carefully. Careful.
- 7:09All right, roll something. Cybertech.
- 7:11Oh my. Gosh.
- 7:13You Crip failed minus seven on A roll of 23.
- 7:17So what happens is because you rolled so high, you get to find
- 7:21out the data that's on it. But because you Crip failed, you
- 7:23unfortunately did that thing when you're brushing your teeth
- 7:26where you push the toothbrush back too far and then you sort
- 7:29of gag a little bit. But it's a sharp toothbrush.
- 7:31So you take 1HP damage from doing this, but what reads out
- 7:37on your screen is. VIP Passcode Feline Secret
- 7:42Weapon auction. No, I won.
- 7:44Oh wait, do I know this like? It's all getting displayed on my
- 7:47face as I'm checking on this thing.
- 7:49What this seems to imply is that included in tonight's market is
- 7:53a separate auction for something very special.
- 7:56I wonder if the auction secret or if the weapon that is being
- 8:00an auction is secret. Maybe it's both.
- 8:03Well, I could be both. I do believe we know there's
- 8:07going to be a Sanro. Hello cutie there.
- 8:11Yes, but I don't think that that's.
- 8:13What else do we know that's going to be there?
- 8:18Boots. Me.
- 8:19Chinks, Jeb. Wow, looks a guy how you would
- 8:25drink pain. Yes, Don't worry, I'll get.
- 8:30Oh no. Jeb, get out from under the bar.
- 8:32Jeb, I swear to God. Get out.
- 8:36Go on. Sit down.
- 8:37Sit down, Jeb. That's a good boy thing that
- 8:44made me uncomfortable, I. Was just just trying to be OK.
- 8:48Sorry, trying to be demeaning. What else are you going to look
- 8:50for at the market? Well, Mr. Kerrigan, we know
- 8:53we'll be there. And Mr. Carrick it will be
- 8:55there. We know that.
- 8:57Hello Cutie and I'm. Going to look for customers
- 9:01we're looking for. Yeah, I.
- 9:05Mean. Oh, hello, cutie.
- 9:06That's that gun, right? Yeah, the one that.
- 9:11I have a. That's a interesting way of
- 9:13saying a fake. Yeah, it's a knockoff, but it's
- 9:18good for now. I would love to find the real
- 9:19thing there. Yeah, they've got a first
- 9:22edition on sale tonight. I'm.
- 9:24Trying to remember what else we could be looking for.
- 9:30It would be so helpful if I took notes.
- 9:34Some sort of man's laugh. I mean, there was that, there
- 9:38was that magazine. We were all perusing the the
- 9:41black Chrome. Man, those fireworks are really
- 9:44going, aren't they? Yeah.
- 9:46They're excited about it. I mean, it's going to be a big
- 9:57sale. They're really excited about an
- 9:50event that they can't even go. There's probably a lot of things
- 9:59that we could find there, so. So there's that Sanru Hello
- 10:05cutie gun. There's a tech hammer on sale.
- 10:10Those are really nice. I mean, we could probably find
- 10:13nice things for all of us. Now here's the thing.
- 10:15Do we take them the right way or the wrong way?
- 10:19How much do we like Mr. Kerrigan?
- 10:21Now, what's money do we ask? Iona It's at this point.
- 10:25That your tile goes off and you see that you've received payment
- 10:30for killing the Badlands Beast. You've received us some money.
- 10:36Drumroll money. Drumroll, please.
- 10:41I'm waiting. I'm waiting for it to pop up.
- 10:44All right, you know, is there is stranger up here.
- 10:49You're a cat. You're right, I I don't usually
- 10:58do this, but I am going to pay you all for the Redlands Beast.
- 11:06We're getting paid, yes. Wow, so there's Leave Bendel.
- 11:11Let me be be chat. I honestly think the last time I
- 11:14was paid was from, we know the Death Race.
- 11:17That's not true. I've paid you since.
- 11:19In places of drink in front of you, Chip.
- 11:22Well, that's true. You've been paying me in drinks
- 11:24and in good company for quite a while now.
- 11:26Paying. Cheers.
- 11:27Yeah, and free refilled off your head every day.
- 11:30You're welcome. And you don't want to that is.
- 11:37Also, I got to say I have been. Jeb.
- 11:40Iona just paid you say thank you.
- 11:41Oh, oh, oh, that that's that was my favorite kinds of push
- 11:46notifications. 1500 Richest. Richest of us outside of Iona?
- 11:51No, you guys dreamed My baby kept pretty quick.
- 11:53As soon as y'all found out that I was the richest, I immediately
- 11:56became the forest. No, I think Vindel probably it's
- 12:01the second richest. I'm saving for a home 1500
- 12:07Eddies. Wow.
- 12:09Well, that put a dent in some things. 1500.
- 12:12Yes. That's 100 fifteens.
- 12:14That's the most. That's the most Eurobooks I've
- 12:17ever owned at once. What?
- 12:20What? What are you Are you alright?
- 12:24I mean, listen, you can probably sleep on the floor in here.
- 12:27I do it all the. Time.
- 12:29So I don't know what it's like to be poor.
- 12:31I'm so sorry. I I have to agree.
- 12:36I've never been poor in my life. Well, I used to live outside in
- 12:39the desert where we used bottle caps as currency, so I get it.
- 12:45It's no fun. It's a lot better to have
- 12:47running water. Pink Can I get a beer in a
- 12:50bottle? Pink.
- 12:51Slides you a beer. I'll pop the top Jeff his bottle
- 12:54cap. Oh, wow.
- 12:56Thank you. You're welcome.
- 12:57The beer fizzles over the side and starts to drape across your
- 13:02cyber hand. And it evaporates, likely as
- 13:04your cyber hand absorbs it. Very sexy beer commercial.
- 13:09Even absorbing hand. I can kind of feel it, yeah.
- 13:11It feels all tingly. Wow.
- 13:14It's kind of like like butt chugging, but with your hand.
- 13:17What? What?
- 13:19Oh, is that the analysis? Attachment.
- 13:23I don't know anything about Cybertech.
- 13:26Have you have you been butt chugging beers in the bar?
- 13:29No, no, no. That was just, that was my
- 13:31younger self did that and oh man, I'll tell you that that
- 13:33semi permeous membrane inside your butt hole, that that's how
- 13:36you get drunk fast. That's a sentence.
- 13:39Wow. OK, well, OK.
- 13:42So let's get back to the the task at hand.
- 13:44What are we wearing tonight? What's?
- 13:47Wrong with what I'm wearing now. I agree.
- 13:49It's dirty. It's dirty.
- 13:51I. Wouldn't say it, it says.
- 13:53It's smart. Cheek, socialite.
- 13:55So that's we have to. Where our DJ Qualls outfits.
- 13:59Oh yeah, Remy. I do have that.
- 14:03I have mine still. I'm just saying.
- 14:06It was just I thought. OK, I was.
- 14:08I was going to dress up, but I mean, I could.
- 14:09Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:11Well is this like is this? Like formal do we need to wear
- 14:14like Formal or shit Tired? I didn't parent out or anything.
- 14:17Smart, chic socialite. I had this little thing and then
- 14:22I had, like Bendel, you're still allowed to wear what you were
- 14:26going to wear. I can't really, yes.
- 14:29They jump out into a closet, there's a there's a scrumbling
- 14:32noise and they're basically dressed as Sherlock Holmes.
- 14:37A scrumbling noise. I love that.
- 14:39Oh. Oh.
- 14:42Anna Watson. You look incredible.
- 14:45I think you should dress up this far.
- 14:47Often I've. Been binging mysteries.
- 14:51OK, I jump into the closet. That's unexpected and I I start
- 14:54making scrumbling noises and I'm trying to find a pair of
- 14:59trousers and a waistcoat and. Roll pass from grooming.
- 15:04Also, roll personal grooming for Vandel, because we should see
- 15:07how convincing this outfit is. All right, this is Vendel. 13 I
- 15:13was going for Sherlock Holmes, but I've got more of a Watson
- 15:16look, don't I? Oops.
- 15:18Yeah, the cane I think is Watson.
- 15:20I clicked it twice on accident. Oh no, I clicked it once.
- 15:23Yes, your personal grooming fails.
- 15:27Unfortunately, the only thing you can find is bright green.
- 15:32Very noticeable For the rest of the evening.
- 15:34I'm I'm wearing bright green trousers.
- 15:37Oh, we're going flashy. Well, listen, I I have to admit
- 15:40that I know it's kind of outside of my normal attire, but I did
- 15:45see a a glistening, studded like leotard type of situation that I
- 15:51saw on the on the on the news the other day and it did look
- 15:56pretty cool. Yeah.
- 15:57And saw like Bejeweled and it kind of changed.
- 16:01It seemed to kind of change the the heat.
- 16:04You have it now, Jeff, because we're all just.
- 16:07Getting our clothes from the closet.
- 16:09Listen, I'm just saying that if I had spent a lot of money on it
- 16:14because they did get me with the targeted advertising if, if
- 16:18that. I'm not saying that did happen,
- 16:20but. I did.
- 16:21Happen. Would you say that this is maybe
- 16:22inappropriate? Time to wear said sequenced
- 16:26ligatard. Is this a leotard or a unitard?
- 16:29You're going to have to explain the difference to me.
- 16:32A unitard has legs. And a leotard is like a
- 16:36swimsuit. Yeah, cuts off at the thigh.
- 16:39Show off those manly calves. Well, in that case it is in fact
- 16:42a unitard. Don't show off those manly
- 16:44calves. Got it.
- 16:45Well, listen, I didn't know the difference.
- 16:47And Jeb, you pull out this leotard from your back roll past
- 16:51the grooming. Put it on.
- 16:57And everyone is surprised at how pretty fucking great you look.
- 17:00Well, just you know what I I thought I'd keep the cowboy hat,
- 17:04just because I thought that kind of completes the ensemble.
- 17:06No, And the jacket's a good accessory.
- 17:08I like that. Right.
- 17:09It's kind of like a I thought I kind of dress it down a little
- 17:11bit because I didn't want to, you know, show up you guys too
- 17:15much. Oh, and it's got track black
- 17:17lighting. That's cool.
- 17:18Right, right. And if you notice when I kind of
- 17:20turn and shimmy. You know, kind of you see how it
- 17:23kind of changes you a little bit.
- 17:25It's kind of iridescent. Yeah, you look great.
- 17:28You look wonderful. Nice.
- 17:29Thank you. I I really appreciate that, you
- 17:31know. I that's a. 22 Jeb a bust, a
- 17:33grooming. Well done.
- 17:35That's a. That's a.
- 17:36There's a bit of an impulse by it was 400 Eddies, so I just, I
- 17:40was hoping it was it was going to pay off.
- 17:43And I may have been drunk when I bought it, but I I think it
- 17:46looks pretty good. You know what?
- 17:48It's not a, but you've got a You've got black light clothing.
- 17:51That's neat. Thank you.
- 17:53I still like my hat. I feel like it's like a genuine
- 17:57Harold Styles. Anyway, Remy.
- 17:59I mean, I guess if we're all going to get dressed up opposite
- 18:02of what we typically wear, hold on.
- 18:04I'm going to head down to my workshop real quick and use some
- 18:07of my scraps to make a a business like suit.
- 18:11Out of metal. I got cloth.
- 18:13OK, cool, roll for it 25. Yeah, it looks great, but it's
- 18:18it looks like it's made out of polygons.
- 18:21Well, it is. It's made to be.
- 18:22It's a Polygon jacket with a very slate Gray undershirt
- 18:29underneath that with a couple of bolts as.
- 18:33Cufflinks underneath that I bronzed.
- 18:36And it has a kind of weird shiver to it because it's made
- 18:39of the excess scraps of our armors that have been ripped and
- 18:42torn apart already. Oh, cool.
- 18:44I'm going to say it's worth. You rolled high enough.
- 18:46I'm going to say it's worth 12 SP for defense, not 11.
- 18:49Yay. Yeah.
- 18:52And did you brand it DJ Qualls? Oh, no, no, no.
- 18:55This this. This is my own brand.
- 18:59A separate thing. Yes, because also I'm going to
- 19:02be shopping for clients to make stuff for for money now.
- 19:06So this is Remware. Remware.
- 19:11Remware. Remware.
- 19:13Yeah, that's cool. That's pretty good.
- 19:16Weapons, clothes. You name it, I make it.
- 19:19A slogan too. That's cool.
- 19:20I know, right? Well.
- 19:23Last but not least, VV. Well, VV is just going to grab
- 19:27the same outfit that she wears for any formal gathering because
- 19:31she really only has one, and it's just like a pair of nice
- 19:35dress pants that are black and then a teal top that goes with
- 19:43her teal and pink hair. And it's like kind of fancy.
- 19:48She wears like a a white blazer. So she still has that.
- 19:52She still has that medic chic to her with the white blazer.
- 19:56It looks like a white lab coat jacket, but it's more of like a
- 19:58blazer. Yeah, medic chic is what I would
- 20:00call it, as she looks a bit nicer than she normally does.
- 20:05But it's like you can still tell that she's got and she's in the
- 20:07medical field. Fair enough.
- 20:09Good. Roll for.
- 20:12It. Yes, personal grooming.
- 20:14Oops, ignore that. That was not.
- 20:17No, no, you said doctor stuff. I'm going to call that finger
- 20:20slip A roll because technically it's still a roll, right?
- 20:24That's still a crit. It's just the wrong thing.
- 20:26Fuck it. Let's reward the crit.
- 20:28That's more fun. You rolled 22 + 2 on paramedic,
- 20:34but since you were trying to go for a doctor vibe, it really
- 20:37comes across and he could easily pass with how smart you now look
- 20:42as a surgeon. I'm not an intern.
- 20:45For the purposes this evening. I am a neurosurgeon now,
- 20:50everybody a neurosurgeon Dr. Vivian, you're a, you're a you
- 20:55work on heads, is what you're saying.
- 20:56Yes, cool. And you can all call me Vivian
- 21:00for the evening. That's my real name, in case you
- 21:01didn't know. Vivian.
- 21:03Dr. Vivian. Vivian.
- 21:05Vivian. It's Vivian.
- 21:07Dr. Vivian. You can all kind of like the
- 21:09flair at the end. It's French Vivian.
- 21:12I do too, actually. I think it has class.
- 21:14We're going somewhere classy. Everyone looks so nice.
- 21:17I'm wearing a tie. I'm too excited.
- 21:19I'm sorry. You're allowed to be excited
- 21:22about things. Your feelings are valid.
- 21:26If you pulled out a cigarette, I have a prop cigarette that I was
- 21:32using earlier and it's like kind of a dicey.
- 21:34I'd love. To talk.
- 21:36It helps get. We're going by our full name, so
- 21:40that way we sound more classy than you guys couldn't call me
- 21:43romingus. What?
- 21:45Romingus. Romingus is.
- 21:47That your real full name. But learning so much about each
- 21:50other, that's. Yeah.
- 21:52I mean, I guess you can call me Jebbie.
- 21:53I just. It takes longer.
- 21:56Chapadia, Vivienne Dominguez. I am my full name.
- 22:01OK. Detective Vendel.
- 22:07Detective Vendel it is. Yay.
- 22:12OK, so should we go? Question.
- 22:17Let's go. Question.
- 22:19I don't know. That's OK Question.
- 22:21Do we go in Vanna White? Because I, as much as I love
- 22:24Vanna White, it don't scream class.
- 22:28We can call a car and. Call a car I.
- 22:30I do take a little bit of advance to that, but I
- 22:33understand. You take offense.
- 22:36It hurt me just to say it. Jebadiah, I think you can take a
- 22:41look within yourself and know that Vanna White doesn't scream
- 22:45class. Oh, I said.
- 22:46I understand. It's just, I just wish people
- 22:49would see the beauty, you know? I'm sorry.
- 22:53But Jeb, this means we get to have a limo.
- 22:57Yeah, yeah, Limo Schlimmo all. Right, I'm ordering a limo
- 23:01schlimmo. Oh, the the limo schlimmo.
- 23:05Is that what we're ordering? Yes.
- 23:07I've never been on a limo schlimmo.
- 23:15Hey, no Latency listeners, it's Spoon.
- 23:17I play Jeb here on No Latency, but I also produce the brand new
- 23:20show, System Switch, and it's called System Switch because
- 23:24every few episodes we take our sane, beloved characters and
- 23:27throw them into a completely new universe in the form of a new
- 23:31role-playing game. We'll go from steampunk to
- 23:33cyberpunk, from fantasy to scifi, from romantic comedy to
- 23:37dark comedy, from D&D to Call of Cthulu and everything in
- 23:41between. So join us on our romp through
- 23:43the multiverse by searching for System Switch on your favorite
- 23:47podcasting app. Yeah, the.
- 23:59Limo Schlimmer This limo was expensive.
- 24:02Oh man, it was 430 Eddies. There's only 30 more Eddies than
- 24:10this incredible outfit, but you get it for the whole evening.
- 24:14And it even has upon IT security surveillance which you can
- 24:19access remotely for the entire evening.
- 24:22Wow. The mini bar.
- 24:24Does anyone have the app? I don't have the app downloaded
- 24:26so I can't access. It oh, here you go.
- 24:28Tap my tile. I'll have to create an account
- 24:33and I forget it. Here, shove your hand me your
- 24:37tile, You're. Doing good.
- 24:39Take these drinks from the from the mini bar.
- 24:41Is that extra? We no, we paid for all access.
- 24:44Sweet. Nice.
- 24:47Bubble tea? All these, yeah.
- 24:50This one's got nicotine. Ohh.
- 24:51Ohh, give me some of that. Give me some of that, too.
- 24:54All right. Nicotine.
- 24:55One for VV. Nicotine.
- 24:57One for Jeb. Iona, do you want one with
- 24:59drugs? There's one that they put
- 25:01vitamin C in it. No one ever drinks it.
- 25:02I would. I would love that.
- 25:04It's like a Lacroix but worse he go.
- 25:07I turn it, I turn it upside down and I turn it right back, right
- 25:09back upside, see the sediment like drop through all the
- 25:14bubbles and then the bubbles ignite inside and turn into
- 25:17little balls. Don't forget to to shake it up.
- 25:21Which one do you want? You can see Roll Reveal Conceal
- 25:25Object for Vendel. OK.
- 25:28Reveal. Don't feel.
- 25:30Don't let them know. Oh yeah, no.
- 25:34It's long gone. You can see Vendel.
- 25:35Open up the window and go. This one is Synco.
- 25:37Can they show it? They throw it out the window.
- 25:40It's driving and it flies and it hits some car.
- 25:42You hear like a craft. It's for the best, Remy.
- 25:45There's one here with with the extra caffeine.
- 25:47Glad you did that for your like DJ Qualls if you wanted to.
- 25:50I'm not. I'm not going with DJ Kwalis
- 25:53tonight, but the the extra power of caffeine will probably be
- 25:56helpful. Cool.
- 25:58And then Dell passes you one with extra caffeine in it.
- 26:01I'm going to drink it, but I'm also still going to be very
- 26:03disappointed that I lost that on the Synth Coke and it's
- 26:05suspended in Smash the beverage, so it's a little tough.
- 26:11To Turkey. Nice little flip.
- 26:14Taste like that wine from church?
- 26:16All right, everyone, looks like we're here and you arrive
- 26:20outside Mr. Kerrigan's mark. This is the map from Black
- 26:24Chrome. Wow.
- 26:27That's nice. Wow, they're so tiny.
- 26:31You got to be smaller than this, man.
- 26:33Vivian and I are living large. Well, the reason why I'm so
- 26:40small is because for me kind of is an introvert.
- 26:43So in groups of large people, if not putting on a face, they are
- 26:48very. Small and quiet.
- 26:51Is that it? What is what is going on over
- 26:52there on the middle left? Is that like a?
- 26:57Is that a waterfall of yellow liquid?
- 27:01No, The background is yellow, so that's transparent.
- 27:04So that's a stairway upwards. Ah, yeah, I see.
- 27:09Is that a waterfall of yellow liquid?
- 27:14I was going with like yellow cyberpunk vibes and it came out.
- 27:17It looks like pissed yes. Is that P?
- 27:23And after going up some stairs, you're standing outside Mystic
- 27:27Carrigan's Market, right in the center of the Glen, right above
- 27:30the Atlantis. I know that place.
- 27:36This is a very famous location. There is a door in front of you
- 27:40and a little Gray box with space for a ticket.
- 27:44I approach and slide the ticket over.
- 27:48That's like a paper ticket. Well, you've got to check it
- 27:51with it, Jeb. We've had this ticket retrod on.
- 27:55It. Romingus, but sorry, romingus
- 27:58thank. You thank you.
- 28:01Iona, what are we calling you? Iona.
- 28:04Oh, right. Sorry.
- 28:05Iona. Yeah, And as you're having this
- 28:08little conversation, slip the ticket into the machine and it
- 28:12opens, giving you access to Mr. Kerrigan's Night Market.
- 28:18There is a very lovely receptionist at the desk who can
- 28:21tell you what's going on. I turned back to the crew.
- 28:26This is a very special place that we have not particularly
- 28:33been invited to but have made our way into and so it would be
- 28:38in our best interest if. You were on your best behavior,
- 28:44Jebediah. I'm.
- 28:46Sorry, what? I wasn't listening.
- 28:49You got it. Best behavior?
- 28:52You got it. Oh, oh, yeah.
- 28:53Yeah. Yeah, yeah, right.
- 28:56Remy. Alright, turn around to the oh,
- 28:58rominguous I don't worry about. I'm yes, right I.
- 29:02Want to be honest, I'm very, very nervous.
- 29:06I might need someone to help push me.
- 29:08In you're going to do just fine. Bendel starts pushing Remy in,
- 29:11and you'll get pushed into the lobby.
- 29:13I'm. Doing it.
- 29:14I'm doing it. You'll get pushed into the lobby
- 29:17and you're around the front desk and there's this receptionist
- 29:21filing their cyber nails, regrowing them, and then filing
- 29:24them again to try and find the perfect shape.
- 29:27Hey, the door closes behind you. What's up, Doc?
- 29:33Hi, I guess you're referring to me.
- 29:38We were just that we are here this evening, we're wondering if
- 29:42you could give us just that, you know, quick rundown of the
- 29:45evening. Oh, the market.
- 29:47Yes. Yeah, yeah, no problem.
- 29:49That's not a problem. OK.
- 29:50So down here, we've got the three vehicles.
- 29:52They're on, they're on display. If you want to buy them, you
- 29:55have to talk to Mr. Kerrigan after the auction.
- 29:58The private area is private by obvious reasons.
- 30:01That's why we were private on the ground.
- 30:03Can you see the thing on the ground?
- 30:04This is private over there. Yeah.
- 30:06OK, good. You can, because you're really
- 30:08smart and very fantastic. Doctor, I love what you're
- 30:10wearing. This is fabulous.
- 30:11It looks like you rolled A crit. And then, of course, if you,
- 30:15like, lose any objects, I'm interrupting you.
- 30:17I know. I'm sorry.
- 30:18It's awful. I'm terrible.
- 30:19Look at this. Look at this nail.
- 30:20It's not even the right color. Anyway, so security's down here.
- 30:24If you lose anything, the auction is later, but only if
- 30:26you know the password. And upstairs you can buy the
- 30:28guns and the outfits and the fashion, and then there's food
- 30:32up there. But I'm not sure if they're
- 30:34serving tonight because the chef is there and he's not going to
- 30:36be here now. In the event of a fire or
- 30:39whatever, there's a huge fucking lockdown.
- 30:42So if you're in the auction room, there's a very good chance
- 30:44you'd be locked inside the building.
- 30:46If that is the case, make sure you call your representative and
- 30:50set up some kind of lawsuit. Or something, and we'll make
- 30:53sure you get reparations. Anything else?
- 30:56No, that real closes it I think. So do you have?
- 30:59Any question, cowboy. I like your outfit too.
- 31:02You look like you rolled a crib. Nice.
- 31:05Well, I sure did. Thank you.
- 31:07Honestly, I'm really glad that you said something about there
- 31:09because I was. I was a little nervous.
- 31:11I kind of been going ups and downs on how I feel about this
- 31:14outfit that I've been wearing. But I appreciate that the
- 31:17compliment is well. And despite your cards being
- 31:22covered, they really do show off fabulous.
- 31:28No, I should start wearing this more often.
- 31:31So questions or we could. I believe we're good.
- 31:36Yeah, no, hold on the bathroom. Oh, the bathrooms.
- 31:41Let me see. I mean, this private one down
- 31:43here, but we can't go now. They're upstairs with all the
- 31:47merchandise and stuff. All right.
- 31:50Thank you old. Oh, are any of you allergic to
- 31:53cats? No, I'm good.
- 31:56Cats here. Real.
- 31:58One cat? Wait, have you not heard?
- 32:00Wait, where have you been? Have you been living under a
- 32:02rock dock? Rock dock?
- 32:05I love that. That's so cute.
- 32:08Perhaps I have? Mr. Kerrigan's cat.
- 32:12Oh the. One that went missing came back.
- 32:15Right. I did hear about that.
- 32:17I know, crazy. So the cat's not for sale, of
- 32:19course. No display thing, OK.
- 32:23It's just just curious what? The lockdown thing is for if
- 32:25there's a security thing, there's that.
- 32:28An intelligent system that recognizes where the cat is and
- 32:30make sure it's safe, but it locks the whole fucking building
- 32:32down. Yes, got it.
- 32:36And in an event of a lockdown, there'd be no.
- 32:40Ins or outs? No, no.
- 32:42Everybody locked inside until the investigation happens.
- 32:44Because usually the lockdowns are because someone stole
- 32:47something or somebody dies. But if there's an
- 32:49investigations, I mean there are law enforcement entities in
- 32:53here. No, no.
- 32:54Mr. Kerrigan usually just hires whoever's here.
- 32:57You know, People's Court. That's a fascinating system.
- 33:02That's the people at work. I love that.
- 33:04Right, it's great. Is there always someone
- 33:07impartial? And will there be food and?
- 33:13They'll be champagne during the auction, if you know the
- 33:15password, of course. To the champagne.
- 33:18No to the auction room. Oh man, you're pretty.
- 33:22But aren't you a little slow? No, I don't know about that.
- 33:26Have you seen me? I can run a half mile in about 2
- 33:29minutes. I believe you, especially with
- 33:32those cabs. Any other questions?
- 33:34I know, I really think that these but jewels really kind of
- 33:36make them pop. No other questions I think, I
- 33:41think. You all, you all can take a name
- 33:43badge. Please write whatever you like
- 33:46on there what you'd like to be referred to.
- 33:48It's a spot in the corner for your pronoun if you want.
- 33:53What's your name? My name?
- 33:56Yeah. I'm Keith.
- 33:58Keith. Nice to meet you, Keith.
- 34:00I'm going to slip them a business card.
- 34:04If you ever need anything to be made, you can.
- 34:08Call me. OK.
- 34:10And just to be clear, Keith, we could put.
- 34:12One second, One second. Cowboy.
- 34:16I did not expect expect a card from you, but I will take it.
- 34:21Done. Sorry, cowboy.
- 34:23What? Yes, I just want to clarify.
- 34:27We don't have to put our name so we can put whatever we want and
- 34:30people will call us that. Yes.
- 34:33I mean, people might recognize you, jab.
- 34:35But yeah. All right.
- 34:38I'll just put via J3. Doctor Vivian Sienna comma, MD,
- 34:51Neurosurgeon. Do you want people to refer to
- 34:54the whole thing, or can they just refer to you as doctor?
- 34:57Just doctors? Fine.
- 34:58You got it. Reminges.
- 35:02Reminges. Yes.
- 35:04No. I saw on your card.
- 35:05Yep. Remware.
- 35:08And I own a no last name. Papescu she they.
- 35:14She they OK and you all 1 by 1? She her.
- 35:20Great. EBay.
- 35:23I got it. I've got stereo hearing.
- 35:25I heard both of those. That's good.
- 35:28And also they'll be separated the podcast when he added this.
- 35:34Keith, you do work wonder. OK, so if you need anything
- 35:37else, I'll be right here at the front being obnoxious and
- 35:39getting these nails absolutely perfect and it's only going to
- 35:42take me about 7 hours. You should try to go for the
- 35:44almond shape. That's usually my preferred
- 35:48shape for a nail. It's like not too long and
- 35:53obnoxious, but it's just the right amount of style when you
- 35:57want to get to the nails done. For persuasion.
- 36:02Just a suggestion. OK, not great.
- 36:05It comes off like I'm like stuck up.
- 36:08Honey, honey, honey, honey. I think they would look so much.
- 36:12One outfit does not make you fashionable, but thank you for
- 36:16the medical advice. It's great for the cuticles.
- 36:19Anyway, you guys upstairs is available and that's where you
- 36:24can find items. The auction is in like about an
- 36:28hour, maybe less. Actually no, maybe more.
- 36:31Maybe less. No way less.
- 36:33Oh shit. I've been doing this for such a
- 36:34while. It's going to be serious.
- 36:37I'll make an announcement. All right.
- 36:40Thank you. You should.
- 36:40See my announce supports you want even believe it Anyway, go
- 36:44on. Chop, chop chop, chop.
- 36:46Thank you, Keith. Pop up.
- 36:48And Remmy's just going to run to the elevator.
- 36:51Remmy can move their tokens. I got you.
- 36:56Yeah. I'm big fan of Keith.
- 36:59Seems like it seems like a great person and I, Bruce Lee super
- 37:02appreciated the compliments. I mean don't add just like
- 37:06$1,000,000. I guess we'll, I'll press the
- 37:12button, then the elevator comes down and you all get upstairs.
- 37:20The elevator's locked. They just closed behind you.
- 37:24You've arrived at the next floor.
- 37:25You have to come. From the There are a few things
- 37:28on the ground being served by, like just people in nice suits.
- 37:33There's a fashion and armor station and a weapon station up
- 37:36here in the courtyard. So everyone else is like black
- 37:40tie, like pretty standard in the world.
- 37:43There's a few people doing high fashion.
- 37:45Clowns. So as you're walking, as you're
- 37:47walking around this floor, it's fairly populated.
- 37:50There are quite a few people in here and it's getting near the
- 37:54end of this part of the market as a few of them made their
- 37:57purchases and are heading out. And there are some items that
- 38:00are on sale here, but they're also kind of on.
- 38:05They aren't on auction, but they might be limited supply.
- 38:08And one of them behind the weapons station in a big glass
- 38:12case is a first edition Sanro. Hello, Cutie.
- 38:17Can you can you describe how the market works?
- 38:20You said this part of the market, yes, the the this is the
- 38:25second floor of Mr. Kerrigan's market where you can buy items
- 38:29and memorabilia. He's got a very high fixer
- 38:33score. So a lot of the items are
- 38:36available if not all of the things.
- 38:38And so you can go up to these counters and roll a dice and see
- 38:42if the thing that you're looking for is available.
- 38:44I'm adding the roll a dice rule, but yes, but you do know the
- 38:47Sandroo Hello Kitty is right behind the weapons kit.
- 38:50Cool. So there's stuff here that you
- 38:52couldn't get at Clives, for example, and it only happens
- 38:54four times a year. Also, I just want to say, Jeb, I
- 38:59take offense to that. I don't look like a clown.
- 39:01I'm in a very chic business suit that I made myself, thank you
- 39:05very much. Sure, it's, you know,
- 39:07hexagraphinal, polyamorous, whatever.
- 39:10But it looks good. I agree.
- 39:14I think you look great. Thank you.
- 39:16Thank you. I wouldn't allow work into it.
- 39:19Am I able to see like the cost or the current going rates for
- 39:25the Sanru handgun? The cost is the cost in the
- 39:30book, but because it's a first edition, so it's an extra 1000,
- 39:33so it's worth more money, but it's basically the same gun.
- 39:38So they might have a regular one, but you know for sure there
- 39:42is a first edition. OK, got it.
- 39:45It's got a first edition stamp on it.
- 39:46Really. Wow, that one is so cool.
- 39:49It's a first edition. Yeah, no, it's first edition in
- 39:52it, yeah. How did you get that?
- 39:54You know Mr. Carrigan, he's got those those connections in it.
- 39:57Anything else you're looking for do.
- 39:59You have any other editions? Not like the 1st edition, but
- 40:03any other sanru by chance? Let me roll the D10 and find
- 40:07out. Oh yeah, that's the seven.
- 40:08I'm going to say yes, I've got a regular one just under the
- 40:11table, you know, just. A regular one.
- 40:12You're not going to buy it under the table.
- 40:13It's still, you know, I had 5000 Eddies, but yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:17OK, cool. Thanks.
- 40:21Yeah, that's all I was curious about.
- 40:23So that it. I have a one goal gal, and it's
- 40:29that Sanru weapon. Fair enough.
- 40:34Any of any you lot? Anyone.
- 40:39No. You've got the mute logo on your
- 40:42face. I missed the TV person.
- 40:45So I'm extremely nervous right now.
- 40:47I know it's right. First time, First time, First
- 40:50time, first time, first time, first.
- 40:53Time. Very, very, very first time.
- 40:55Cool. OK, so there's like two or three
- 40:58things that I've been looking for.
- 41:01First off is if you got one of them.
- 41:03K Tech Tech Hammer Assault shotgun with micro missile
- 41:09attachment with it, yes, and because I just rolled the 10 it
- 41:12is of excellent quality. That's good to know, and I hate
- 41:20to say it, but because I'm not a big fan of the company, but I
- 41:25was also thinking about that Erosaka prototype variable
- 41:30assault rifle. You're looking for a prototype.
- 41:38At this desk. Maybe not at this desk, but
- 41:39maybe you know that somebody might have it.
- 41:43Oh, that's a nine. Now I'm going to tell you this
- 41:45right if I'd rolled A10 right underneath this counter right
- 41:49here. It sucks, Jim.
- 41:51Yeah, yeah, the. But because I rolled a nine,
- 41:54it's in the auction if you know the password, right?
- 42:02But I'll go ahead and. Go ahead and put that, that,
- 42:06that K shotgun on me. The K tech for me.
- 42:09Oh, the the K tech. Yeah, yeah.
- 42:12Yeah. I think I won't buy that.
- 42:14I don't. I don't have it.
- 42:15It's in the auction, mate. I mean, it's spelled what did
- 42:18you know? What the K tech is or the
- 42:20prototype is Oh, the prototype is yeah.
- 42:22Yeah, I wonder about that K tech you said you had.
- 42:25Oh, the K tech. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:27How much is that? 1000, yeah.
- 42:29No, I can see that for 1000. I'll I'll buy it for 1000.
- 42:33Anyone else buy anything? And here is a coupon, Sir, every
- 42:38time you make a purchase at Mr. Carrigan's Market, you get a
- 42:41coupon. Nobody knows really.
- 42:43Well, therefore, but whatever, keep on hold.
- 42:47On Oh. Coupon.
- 42:50Oh yes, they're very funny. Very good.
- 42:52What about you, cowboy? Oh my.
- 42:56I prefer my my weapons a little bit more down to earth, a little
- 43:01bit more classically mechanical. Oh okay.
- 43:05I'll just put away this antique. Resolve the holster then.
- 43:10You say antique and no. You have any super Chrome?
- 43:12In a minute you've said no. All right, you can have a look
- 43:14at it in a second. And Io No skill.
- 43:21I mean, yeah, of course I've got super Chrome.
- 43:23Just a regular super Chrome side arm.
- 43:25I just need something a little flashier.
- 43:27Fair enough. What does it say on our catalog
- 43:29for price 1000? Oh yeah, Done.
- 43:32Here you go. Nipples it out from underneath
- 43:35but. I hear you have skill chips.
- 43:37Yes, we've got skill chips. I've got one that it's just it's
- 43:41the funniest thing, right? There's this guy who used to do
- 43:44whip tricks. It's the weirdest thing.
- 43:47And you get +3. To doing anything with a whip.
- 43:50Of all things. Like anyone in Night City uses a
- 43:52whip. Ridiculous.
- 43:53So strange. Who is such a weird object?
- 43:58So like if you wanted to, like hold someone down or like,
- 44:01snatch a can from across the thing, you know these these cool
- 44:04little magic tricks you could do with this thing.
- 43:55Yeah, but it's only if you do tricks, not if you want to do
- 43:58like. You know how to do them if
- 44:08you've got this chip. That's so silly to How much
- 44:11would that go for? Oh, it's it's like it's because
- 44:13it's kind of a novelty and it's like a party trick.
- 44:16It's like 200 eddies. It's like nothing.
- 44:18I You know what, just for kicks and giggles, I'll take it for
- 44:22the next party in it. Yes.
- 44:25How much fun would that be? Just magic.
- 44:27So you going to buy the sand room there, Doc?
- 44:32I'm thinking about it. Hey, Iona, do you need alone?
- 44:39Yes. And I was thinking, I know you
- 44:43also kind of wanted the Hello cutie.
- 44:47They have two of them. And I'm just saying you could
- 44:50get like the original one, you know, Like you could have the
- 44:55the 1st edition and I'll have the one that's like a later.
- 45:00Model or whatever. Maybe you helped me out a bit
- 45:06and I would happily let you have the original version.
- 45:13Could you could you pull up a quick contract for a loan?
- 45:21What's the payment options on this loan?
- 45:25You have 0% for a year. OK.
- 45:29It's not bad. One year and then it's 25%. 25%
- 45:36a month, OK, Do you? Want to owe me a favor?
- 45:44What kind of favor if it involves Synthcoke now?
- 45:47I can't promise it won't involve synthcoke, but you just owe me a
- 45:50favor later on. Interesting.
- 45:54So you're going to have an IOU to Remy or?
- 45:58Maybe an interest free loan for my owner?
- 46:01Huh. That's true.
- 46:02I I will also pay you for things I don't know if you know this,
- 46:06like I did today. So I need about like 4000
- 46:14eddies. Easy.
- 46:18What about you, Remy? You got 4000.
- 46:20You can just give up. Maybe I do, maybe I don't.
- 46:24Maybe I also have other IOU's that are owed to me.
- 46:28I'm looking more like I own a might be a better option here.
- 46:33I I think I could pay off that debt in a year.
- 46:37I. Was not working in a year so
- 46:39easy. With the jobs we've been taking,
- 46:41I think, I think I might be able to pay it off.
- 46:44And sorry, is sugar Mom are going to be paying for your sand
- 46:49route. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:52At least the bulk of it. I have some money at 1500 so.
- 46:58All right, right. Knock it down.
- 47:00I I transferred what What do you need 4500?
- 47:05Yes, let me just do some quick math.
- 47:07I have 500 eddies, so if I pay that's 2000 and it's B.
- 47:13V1 of The reasons why you're poor is you've forgotten to hold
- 47:16on to some money, so maybe I'll take the 4500.
- 47:19OK. It's just, yeah, it's 4500.
- 47:22OK40. Wait, will you have any money
- 47:26left over? If you take 4500, you'll have
- 47:29500 left. I'll have 500 left over, so the
- 47:32amount that I had in my yes. As long as you've got something.
- 47:36Yeah, you're right. I probably couldn't just spend
- 47:38all of my money on one. Thing and then be gun poor.
- 47:41And then have no money for kibble or basic needs or rent.
- 47:48Yeah. So forty 4500 is probably a good
- 47:51loan to start with and I'll work on paying that off.
- 47:56All right. Thank you for your time.
- 47:58Here's another coupon. Thank you it.
- 48:03Comes in a really cool box, but not as cool as the box that's on
- 48:06the wall. Of course.
- 48:08So are you gonna get the the original one, Iona?
- 48:11Are you gonna get the first model?
- 48:12Wasn't the first model 6000? The first model is 6000.
- 48:16I was getting just the regular one.
- 48:18You can get the original one, since I mean, you're helping me
- 48:21out so I figured it would be a nice thing.
- 48:23Oh, how much? How much was the?
- 48:24How much was the regular 1/5? 1000.
- 48:27Ohh, I see. So you actually have 1000?
- 48:33Yeah, math is hard for me. You should.
- 48:36Have 1000 Eddies. I think I I math incorrectly.
- 48:40Uh, yeah. I think I might have 1000.
- 48:42Uh, leftover. It's really wise to talk about
- 48:44your finances out loud like this.
- 48:46Good. Nice.
- 48:48We're just trying to figure this out.
- 48:50For like. 5000. I know.
- 48:54I I make that and. I'm.
- 48:57A 13 minutes. But that's what I'm saying.
- 48:59Like you, Iona, could get the original one.
- 49:03It's six 6000. You know you can probably
- 49:05afford. The auction will begin in 7 1/2
- 49:09minutes. Fine, I'll buy the original.
- 49:15You buy the original off the wall.
- 49:17It's a first edition. You don't have to open it, but
- 49:21then Dell can store it in their bag.
- 49:23OK, let's do that. I I've already put the Super
- 49:26Chrome that I bought on my side so I have a + 2 to wardrobe nice
- 49:31so my my green pants look even better.
- 49:34Oh, nice. Nice recovery there.
- 49:36Should we? Should we head downstairs to the
- 49:38auction? I don't want to miss it.
- 49:39Yeah, auction time. When you get in the elevator.
- 49:43When you head downstairs. Shit.
- 49:46The auction hall is on the east side of the building and the
- 49:51door is guarded by two guards. I forgot I was also trying to
- 49:57keep my business card out to people and I didn't do that.
- 50:00But we might see them later. Here.
- 50:04Right, right. OK.
- 50:06We need any extra things we can go shopping after the auction.
- 50:10Are we just carrying our our new bought weapons now?
- 50:14Yeah, Phoebe's admiring it like she just bought a new toy.
- 50:18She's like, looking at the packaging.
- 50:21She's trying to delicately open it so that she doesn't, like,
- 50:25ruin any of the nice packaging that it came in.
- 50:27But she wants to admire her new her new weapon.
- 50:30The box that comes in is pretty tight to the weapon, and it fits
- 50:33neatly in the back of your boom box now that you didn't bring
- 50:35your hoverboard with you this week.
- 50:36Yay. Oh, you didn't burn that?
- 50:39I didn't. Maybe you'll find one here at
- 50:42the auction. Oh, now that's something now.
- 50:46That's pretty expensive, Jeff. But like the password.
- 50:51Feline. Oh, shit.
- 50:53Yeah, yeah, damn it. And you get.
- 50:56Wait a minute, How did you know that?
- 50:58I mean, we we knew that collectively.
- 51:02Yeah. Every ticket's got on Entourage.
- 51:03You don't have to. Please don't just.
- 51:04Yeah, we know. Yes, we are the Entourage.
- 51:08Thank you. Yes, man in very cool suit.
- 51:10That suit's cool, mate. All.
- 51:12Right. Thanks.
- 51:12Appreciate that. Not you, mate.
- 51:14Oh, thank you very much. I'll slim business card.
- 51:18Oh, cool. Make things all right.
- 51:20Thanks he. Puts it in his pocket and you'll
- 51:22head into the auction room and there in the auction room.
- 51:26Standing silently at the podium is Mr. Kerrigan, going over a
- 51:31few notes, etcetera. There are a few other people in
- 51:35the room as well. Now in this room you see just as
- 51:41sort of a gaggle of very few people have worked out the
- 51:44password this time around. Overall, there are five people,
- 51:50Mr. Kerrigan So there are six people in this room with you, so
- 51:57take your seats. That's the hubbub of the room
- 51:59continues. I see the rocker, the rocker
- 52:02person. I see somebody else.
- 52:05I see another person. I think I see Doctor Doctor very
- 52:10cool and hip looking. Doctor Sweet.
- 52:13Doctor Dave, or whatever his name was, Doctor.
- 52:15So you roll. Perception.
- 52:17I will roll perception. Sure.
- 52:21Nice you all recognize? One person in here, there,
- 52:28sitting in this room on the leftmost side of the auction
- 52:32auditorium, is the collector. The clay.
- 52:37Oh, hello you. How are you?
- 52:40Oh jolly. I've worked out the password.
- 52:43What's going on? Can I come over?
- 52:49And the collector jostles in front of you all so he can talk
- 52:52over the back of it, and he sort of walks with a cane and sits
- 52:56back down. How are you all?
- 52:57It's gonna start in a minute. Oh yeah, Excited.
- 53:00I want to be honest, like, I was really scared and nervous.
- 53:03I didn't know anybody else here except for these guys.
- 53:06But now that I know that you're here, like it's kind of faded
- 53:08away a bit. So I'm I'm.
- 53:09Kind of. Like thank.
- 53:11You. I made it myself.
- 53:13Oh. Oh, I remember you from the
- 53:15space thing, you doctor person. I didn't realize you were a
- 53:18surgeon. Look at you.
- 53:21Neurosurgeon, actually. Oh my.
- 53:24Well, I'm super excited about this evening.
- 53:27You know, we've got, we've got Mr. Kerrigan over there, we've
- 53:31got Jessica Knight over there. You know, the one, the one with
- 53:35the pink hair. I I saw them the other week.
- 53:38They were having a blast at this party.
- 53:42And then over there in the corner is Victor Solis.
- 53:49Who's that? I don't know that one.
- 53:51Oh, Victor. He runs his own company, so
- 53:59Solis the construction Technologies some sort of
- 54:03buzzword afterwards. Victor.
- 53:53Now Victor invented a bunch of really cool.
- 54:04Anyway, he's got a lot of money and he does a lot of his R&D
- 54:09with actual assassins. And talking of actual assassins
- 54:13over there just on the left hand side.
- 54:17No, no, maybe it's on the right. Is an assassin right there.
- 54:20See that? That's rain Rain Sinclair.
- 54:23Rain Sinclair is a a a big big fan of being a badass.
- 54:28But I heard he's retiring soon. But don't tell anyone.
- 54:32And then that guy in the waistcoat is a man named Ora
- 54:34Gavel. I'm not really sure why he's
- 54:36here. He's not really of the elite.
- 54:37But he did go for an interview to be an auctioneer at my.
- 54:40Establishment. I turned him down for the weird
- 54:43vibe. And then the man sitting in
- 54:46front of us over there. That is the rumor master
- 54:49himself, Gabriel Steel. Gabriel Steel.
- 54:54That is an extremely cool night. Gordie.
- 54:58Great at rumors. Yeah, they kind of like know
- 55:02everything even before it happens.
- 55:04Almost prophetic. Wow.
- 55:07And if you're here, that means we're all the who's who of me.
- 55:11Wait, wait. I want to go through all those
- 55:13names again so I can write them down.
- 55:16You won't need to. Great.
- 55:17I got you, fam. Don't worry.
- 55:20I've made notes a lot easier, so don't worry.
- 55:24Mr. Kerrigan is standing at the front of the market.
- 55:27His sights smiles. Hello, welcome to the Night
- 55:31market. I am Mr. Kerrigan and tonight we
- 55:34have a few items. There is the Arasaka prototype,
- 55:39variable assault Rifle, H1O2 and the newest of new the coolest of
- 55:50cool, he said, remembering accent.
- 55:55Is he always German? I am nearly European.
- 55:59I'm trying to go for like a mid vibe.
- 56:02Is that all of the K? I was thinking Scandinavian.
- 56:05Yes, is of course the next version of the kill chip.
- 56:10It's fire. And on Mr. Kerrigan's right,
- 56:13there's this little podium that gets unveiled in there.
- 56:17On a podium is the Kill Chip sitting on a little cushion.
- 56:24Golf clap, Golf clap. Golf clap?
- 56:26OK. We'll begin bidding at 10,000
- 56:30Eddies. And you see Victor Solace lean
- 56:33back in his chair, and Gabrielle Steele stands up in this moment,
- 56:39putting his hand up. And there's just this weird
- 56:44moment, this odd second, where you kind of hear a whining
- 56:47noise, and then Gabrielle Steele appears before you all go still.
- 56:53And then this happens. The fuck.
- 56:56Oh, still my God. Wait a minute.
- 56:59I thought I heard a gunshot. But his head?
- 57:01Came off. Normally when you get people get
- 57:03shot in the head, the head explodes.
- 57:05This one it can clean off roll on the ground for a little bit
- 57:09there. That's a really wordy way to
- 57:11describe what just happened. Next time on no latency.
- 57:29Pose this is when the lockdown happens.
- 57:31Something happened with his head, yeah.
- 57:34It's gone. More like they lost their neck.
- 57:36It's not like a murder mystery party.
- 57:39It's an actual murder. Well, obviously I'm the Femme
- 57:42Patel. I can't be the doctor and the
- 57:43detective. What?
- 57:45What do you mean to take everything?
- 57:46Asking questions. I'm the detective do.
- 57:48You have a weapon that could do that.
- 57:49That is exactly what happened to our victim.
- 57:52Check the head. Because they'd have to
- 57:53physically put it into his. Oh, come on, you can tell me.
- 57:56One invented to another. Do I see anybody in the room
- 57:59with red lips? Stick rain, Sinclair is going
- 58:01around kissing people's necks. Beaches senseless.
- 58:04I don't know if I feel like it. I'm gonna go up to the bar
- 58:07person. If they did do it, maybe they
- 58:09don't have it on their person. What does the letter say?
- 58:11Have we not checked the cameras yet?
- 58:13That seems like we should've done that first.
- 58:14The flash of green. Good I Rominguez.
- 58:17Do you want to be a murder suspect or should I just clear
- 58:20you? If you answer my questions?
