Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: You may have heard about the story of a lot
- 0:04Speaker 1: of farmland that's been bought up by companies directly connected
- 0:09Speaker 1: with the Chinese Communist Party the CCP. It was a
- 0:14Speaker 1: real warning sign that we witnessed when Biden was in
- 0:17Speaker 1: office and allowing the Chinese to come in and buy
- 0:20Speaker 1: up a lot of land that I and any others
- 0:22Speaker 1: believe shouldn't happen. Now, there were some states that took
- 0:25Speaker 1: some action. A great example of that is in Arkansas.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Sarah Huckabee Sanders did legislation in that state that was
- 0:33Speaker 1: forcing the sale by many of these organizations companies LLCs
- 0:38Speaker 1: that really had direct ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
- 0:41Speaker 1: There are also concerns about Chinese buying up land close
- 0:45Speaker 1: to air bases, another major problem.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Well, now we have some.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Action that is going to happen at the federal level,
- 0:56Speaker 1: something that should have been done under the Biden regime,
- 0:59Speaker 1: but they were compromised by the CCP. We know about
- 1:02Speaker 1: the money coming into the Biden crime family. And some
- 1:06Speaker 1: of this newest information that we've gotten has come from
- 1:10Speaker 1: Brook Rawlins announcing that the USDA National Farm Security Action
- 1:15Speaker 1: Plan is going to become a reality. What does it
- 1:18Speaker 1: mean it is going to promote agricultural prosperity and strengthen
- 1:22Speaker 1: US food supplies. The Secretary of Agriculture revealing that the
- 1:27Speaker 1: United States Department of Agriculture rolling out this new security
- 1:32Speaker 1: action plan, and they said, we've got to make sure
- 1:35Speaker 1: that it strengthens the US domestic food supply.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:40Speaker 1: During this virtual pen and pad event on Monday evening
- 1:44Speaker 1: ahead of a press conference, Rawins explained seven key action items.
- 1:50Speaker 1: One of the key action items focus on securing and
- 1:53Speaker 1: protecting American farmland.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I want you to hear part of what she had
- 1:57Speaker 1: to say in her own words about why the seems
- 2:00Speaker 1: to happen now for all Americans.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Perhaps the most important. The first of the seven is
- 2:05Speaker 3: securing and protecting American farmland ownership, actively engaging at every
- 2:10Speaker 3: level of government to take swift legislative and executive action
- 2:14Speaker 3: to ban the purchase of American farmland by Chinese nationals
- 2:18Speaker 3: and other foreign adversaries. Standing on the shoulders of great governors,
- 2:22Speaker 3: three of whom are standing behind me, who have already
- 2:25Speaker 3: been leading the way on this issue, and at the
- 2:28Speaker 3: federal government level, working to do everything within everything within
- 2:32Speaker 3: our ability, including presidential authorities, to claw back what has
- 2:37Speaker 3: already been purchased by China and other foreign adversaries. Additionally,
- 2:42Speaker 3: working with the Treasury of the Secretary of the Treasury,
- 2:46Speaker 3: along with our Defense Department on memorandums to ensure that
- 2:49Speaker 3: moving forward, there is a much more intentional look at
- 2:54Speaker 3: who is buying what in this country and from where
- 2:57Speaker 3: they are in the world. Also enhancing our agricultural supply
- 3:07Speaker 3: chain resilience. Also protecting our US nutrition safety net from
- 3:11Speaker 3: fraud and foreign exploitation.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Number four.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Defending agricultural research and innovation. No more sweetheart deals and
- 3:19Speaker 3: secret packs with countries that do not have our best
- 3:22Speaker 3: interests in mind. Number five making sure that America First
- 3:26Speaker 3: is in every USDA program, from farm loans to food safety.
- 3:30Speaker 3: We have already canceled seven active agreements with entities in
- 3:34Speaker 3: foreign countries of concern and will continue to cancel additional
- 3:38Speaker 3: agreements moving forward. I signed a memo today today, thank you,
- 3:44Speaker 3: which immediately removes seventy seventy citizens from countries of concerns
- 3:51Speaker 3: that currently are affiliated with the USDA through contracts or
- 3:55Speaker 3: research arrangements, and we are working to issue regulatory action
- 3:59Speaker 3: to remove over five hundred and fifty entities from foreign
- 4:03Speaker 3: countries of concern from our preferred catalog. Number six safeguarding
- 4:10Speaker 3: plant and animal health, working to make sure that we
- 4:12Speaker 3: know what is coming in and how to control animal diseases.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And number seven, protecting critical infrastructure from our farms and
- 4:20Speaker 3: our food and our supply chains. Again, along with so
- 4:23Speaker 3: many partners across this government here in Washington and across
- 4:27Speaker 3: our states.
- 4:28Speaker 1: This is obviously long overdue. It's a very important initiative
- 4:33Speaker 1: here because it is going to get rid of She
- 4:36Speaker 1: mentioned rooting out fraud, rooting out abuse, and rooting out
- 4:40Speaker 1: foreign adversaries that are posing a real threat. She says
- 4:44Speaker 1: to US Nutrition Safety Net and food stamp programs as well.
- 4:49Speaker 2: She said, not only are we going to secure protect
- 4:51Speaker 2: the American.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Farmland, but within number one, and that's the number one
- 4:56Speaker 1: thing of the top seven, we all.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Know that land owned by.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Foreign nationals compose a threat to national security and future
- 5:03Speaker 1: economic prosperity too much American land, notice how you use
- 5:08Speaker 1: the word American land is owned by nationals of adversarial countries.
- 5:14Speaker 2: But first I got to ask you a question.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Are you one of those that is just so tired
- 5:18Speaker 1: of giving your money to radical left woke companies that
- 5:21Speaker 1: actually are fighting against your values every day.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Well, there are certain bills that you pay.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Every month that if you can go with a conservative company,
- 5:30Speaker 1: why not do it? In fact, why not go with
- 5:33Speaker 1: a conservative company actually takes part of your bill every
- 5:36Speaker 1: month that you're going to pay to somebody, and they
- 5:38Speaker 1: give it back to organizations that support your First and
- 5:41Speaker 1: your Second Amendment rights, that support the rights of unborn children,
- 5:46Speaker 1: that stand with our military, are first responders, and so
- 5:51Speaker 1: many wounded warriors that need help. Well, that bill I'm
- 5:54Speaker 1: talking about is your cell phone bill. And I've been
- 5:58Speaker 1: telling you for a long time about Patriot Mobile. But
- 6:00Speaker 1: there's no better time to switch than right now. Not
- 6:04Speaker 1: only does Patriot Mobile operate on all three major networks
- 6:08Speaker 1: in this country, yeah, all three. That means you get
- 6:10Speaker 1: the same great coverage you're used to right now, but
- 6:13Speaker 1: you also make a difference with every call you make
- 6:15Speaker 1: and every text you make. And why would you want
- 6:17Speaker 1: to give your money a big mobile? Big Mobile has
- 6:20Speaker 1: been giving big donations to democratic causes, democratic candidates, and
- 6:25Speaker 1: radical left organizations. I'm talking about organizations that actually support abortion.
- 6:31Speaker 1: That is why I want you to switch right now
- 6:34Speaker 1: to Patriot Mobile go ahead and make the switch, and
- 6:38Speaker 1: it's so easy. All you have to do is simply
- 6:41Speaker 1: call Patriot Mobiles one hundred percent US based team from
- 6:45Speaker 1: the comfort of your home or your office and they'll
- 6:47Speaker 1: have you activated in minutes. And if you're still locked
- 6:50Speaker 1: in a contract, not a problem. Patriots Mobile contract buyout
- 6:53Speaker 1: program covers up to five hundred dollars per device, Keep
- 6:57Speaker 1: your same number, keep your phone, or upgrade a new one.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So back to my point, what are you waiting for?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Call Patriot Mobile today and make a difference every single
- 7:07Speaker 1: day with every call you make. Patriot Mobile dot com
- 7:10Speaker 1: slash ferguson. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson or
- 7:16Speaker 1: nine seven to two Patriot. And if you use the
- 7:18Speaker 1: promo code ferguson, you're gonna get a free month of
- 7:21Speaker 1: service on top of that Patriot Mobile dot com slash
- 7:24Speaker 1: ferguson or nine seven two Patriot. That's Patriotmobile dot com
- 7:29Speaker 1: slash ferguson ninety seven to two Patriot. Now, when you
- 7:33Speaker 1: think about the breakdown of what this is, we're talking
- 7:36Speaker 1: about two hundred and sixty five thousand acres in the
- 7:39Speaker 1: United States of America alone that are owned by Chinese nationals. Now,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you got to ask yourself, why are Chinese nationals This
- 7:47Speaker 1: is not Americans. This is Chinese nationals who have direct
- 7:50Speaker 1: ties to China, many of them directly the CCP. Why
- 7:54Speaker 1: are they buying up two hundred and fifty thousand acres
- 7:57Speaker 1: of land in the United States of America? And why
- 8:01Speaker 1: is so much of the two hundred sixty five thousand
- 8:04Speaker 1: acres located near critical US military basis? Now this isn't
- 8:09Speaker 1: like just like a reserve base, Okay, And I'm not
- 8:12Speaker 1: saying those aren't important, But my point is these acres
- 8:16Speaker 1: that they're buying up.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Are very very very very very.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Clearly being bought I think for surveillance reasons. Why would
- 8:25Speaker 1: you go in buy farmland right next to a critical
- 8:28Speaker 1: US military base and not just one bases? Plural is
- 8:34Speaker 1: the way that it's been described. Two hundred and sixty
- 8:36Speaker 1: five thousand acres is massive. By the way, just put
- 8:39Speaker 1: in perspective, do you know how much land traditionally you
- 8:42Speaker 1: have to have to be able to like have a
- 8:43Speaker 1: farm and to hunt on your land ten acres? Think
- 8:47Speaker 1: about how many American farms that is ten acres is
- 8:51Speaker 1: the minimum for you to basically be able to do
- 8:53Speaker 1: what you want to do and have your kind of
- 8:55Speaker 1: land freedom.
- 8:56Speaker 2: As it's described. They bought up two.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Hundred and sixty five thousand eight just own not by
- 9:01Speaker 1: internationals in general, just owned by Chinese nationals, and many
- 9:06Speaker 1: of those acres are right next to our military basis.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Now you may ask yourself a question, all right, why
- 9:12Speaker 1: would they want to buy a plan next to a
- 9:13Speaker 1: military basis?
- 9:14Speaker 2: A great question.
- 9:16Speaker 1: China, it does an amazing job when it comes to
- 9:18Speaker 1: using drones.
- 9:20Speaker 2: This is one of the concerns now.
- 9:22Speaker 1: They're drones on all of their drones just so you understand,
- 9:25Speaker 1: coming in from the CCP look like the drones that
- 9:28Speaker 1: you and I would buy or use. For example, you've
- 9:32Speaker 1: seen a lot of them on TV recently with search
- 9:34Speaker 1: and rescue in what's happening in Texas. The drone technology
- 9:39Speaker 1: that China has, they have birds, okay, drones that look
- 9:44Speaker 1: like birds that would be flying over and you would
- 9:47Speaker 1: have no idea that it is filming military operations, you know,
- 9:53Speaker 1: basically taking a cad drawing of military bases, seeing when
- 9:57Speaker 1: certain groups of individuals and certain million military organizations are
- 10:01Speaker 1: leaving or coming and going. That could be a tell
- 10:04Speaker 1: to what's about to happen militarily next around the world.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Sealed Team exercises a great example of this. They have
- 10:11Speaker 1: drones that are that are not big like we traditionally have.
- 10:16Speaker 1: They now have drones that literally fly like a bird
- 10:19Speaker 1: and they get and they use it for surveillance.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's incredible. So this is such a.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Smart move by the Trump administration and it is a
- 10:28Speaker 1: real threat to us. When she said the second pillar
- 10:31Speaker 1: is enhancing the resilience of agricultural supply chain, it's another thing.
- 10:34Speaker 1: If you take people's food away from them, or you
- 10:37Speaker 1: take away their ability to protect themselves from others being
- 10:42Speaker 1: able to, you know, spoil their food, come after food,
- 10:45Speaker 1: poison their food. There's a lot of ways that you
- 10:48Speaker 1: can use food to come after people. That is another problem.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So this is just a couple different examples of what
- 10:57Speaker 1: is happening right now and a couple of different examples
- 11:00Speaker 1: of why it's so important that we get this legislation
- 11:04Speaker 1: done and we start it now and we do this quickly.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So job well done the Trump administration on this one.
- 11:10Speaker 1: And I wanted to make sure I brought it to
- 11:12Speaker 1: your attention. I want to move now to another issue
- 11:15Speaker 1: that's really important. It also deals with our safety and
- 11:19Speaker 1: national security, and it's one of those issues that is
- 11:21Speaker 1: actually the issue of tariffs. The President having a cabinet
- 11:25Speaker 1: meeting at the White House and making it very clear
- 11:29Speaker 1: that he is getting tough and staying tough on tariffs.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I'll give you a great example.
- 11:33Speaker 1: South Africa is now facing a thirty percent US tariff
- 11:37Speaker 1: hike plus a ten percent surcharge for anti American.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Policies, and he's not messing around.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Now.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'm going to give you more details on that part
- 11:46Speaker 1: in a second, but before we get to that, I
- 11:49Speaker 1: want you to hear the President in his own words
- 11:51Speaker 1: at the cabinet meeting at the White House. And here's
- 11:53Speaker 1: what he said about the letters that we've been sitting
- 11:55Speaker 1: out in the past on tariffs and what we're doing now.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Big bills.
- 12:01Speaker 1: What happened to ninety trade deals in ninety days.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Oh, we've spoken to everybody. We know everything. We've been
- 12:09Speaker 5: told them. I told you, I told you, we'll make
- 12:12Speaker 5: some deals. But for the most part, we're going to
- 12:14Speaker 5: send a letter. We're going to say, welcome to the
- 12:17Speaker 5: United States, if you'd like to participate in the greatest,
- 12:20Speaker 5: most successful country. Ever, I mean, we're doing better than
- 12:23Speaker 5: ever we have I don't think, and you're going to
- 12:27Speaker 5: see these numbers. So we've never had numbers like this,
- 12:29Speaker 5: We've never had investment like this. We have more than ninety,
- 12:33Speaker 5: We're going to have much more than ninety, but most
- 12:35Speaker 5: of those are going to be sent a letter. This
- 12:36Speaker 5: is exactly what I said. Now, we've made a deal
- 12:38Speaker 5: with the United Kingdom, we've made a deal with China,
- 12:42Speaker 5: we've made a deal, we're close to making a deal
- 12:44Speaker 5: with India. Others we met with and we don't think
- 12:47Speaker 5: we're going to be able to make a deal, so
- 12:48Speaker 5: we just send them a letter. If you want to,
- 12:50Speaker 5: if you want to play ball, you have to This
- 12:52Speaker 5: is what you have to pay. So we as far
- 12:55Speaker 5: as I'm concerned, we're done with sending out letters to
- 12:58Speaker 5: various countries telling of how much tariffs they have to pay.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Some will maybe adjust a little bit depending if they
- 13:05Speaker 5: have a you know, cause we're not going to be
- 13:07Speaker 5: unfair about it.
- 13:08Speaker 2: And actually it's a small.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Fraction compared to what we should be getting. We should
- 13:12Speaker 5: be we could be asking for much more, but for
- 13:15Speaker 5: the sake of relationships that we've had with a lot
- 13:18Speaker 5: of really good countries. We're doing the way I do it,
- 13:22Speaker 5: but we could be getting a lot more. We could
- 13:23Speaker 5: ask for a lot more than what we're asking for, Josh.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Because we're sending the letters to follow on the head
- 13:30Speaker 3: and ask earlier, and your counties has deals.
- 13:33Speaker 5: By saying here's the terift rate, I'm saying here it
- 13:36Speaker 5: is congratulations, welcome to the United States. I hope you
- 13:39Speaker 5: make a lot of money, and you're going to pay
- 13:41Speaker 5: us money. They were ripping us. They were charging us
- 13:44Speaker 5: tariffs at levels that nobody's ever seen before. We have
- 13:48Speaker 5: some countries who are charging two hundred percent tariffs and
- 13:51Speaker 5: making it impossible to do business. And what the tariffs
- 13:55Speaker 5: are doing is they're driving people in and companies in
- 13:58Speaker 5: into the United States. That's why we're built all of
- 14:01Speaker 5: the work that you see happening in this country right now,
- 14:03Speaker 5: and it's at a record level, all the factories, all
- 14:06Speaker 5: of the AI institutions that are being built.
- 14:10Speaker 2: It's largely because.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Well I think it's because of November fifth, the good election,
- 14:14Speaker 5: and I think it's because of the taffs. Thank you
- 14:16Speaker 5: all very much, thank you, thank you.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So the President laying out where we're going moving forward,
- 14:22Speaker 1: which brings me back to what I said about South
- 14:24Speaker 1: Africa and is now one of fourteen countries that have
- 14:29Speaker 1: been slapped with large tariff increases by President Donald Trump
- 14:33Speaker 1: on Monday as a quote punitive measure for lack of
- 14:36Speaker 1: progress in negotiations, and now they're facing a thirty percent duty.
- 14:42Speaker 1: In addition, South Africa as one of the Bricks countries,
- 14:46Speaker 1: which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, among others,
- 14:51Speaker 1: they could face an additional ten percent for anti American
- 14:55Speaker 1: policies now. Donald Trump, to be clear, had suspended the
- 14:59Speaker 1: imposition of the tariffs that he announced in April until
- 15:02Speaker 1: July ninth, but began sending letters this week to countries,
- 15:05Speaker 1: including close trading partners, that he felt that there had
- 15:09Speaker 1: not been enough that had gotten done. USA Today reporting
- 15:13Speaker 1: it this way, saying, quote President Donald Trump revealed new
- 15:16Speaker 1: tariff rates on fourteen countries and extended until August one
- 15:20Speaker 1: to pause on higher rates that was due to expire
- 15:22Speaker 1: July ninth, and separate July seventh letters to each targeted country.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Trump said he will impose twenty five percent tariffs on
- 15:32Speaker 1: goods from Malaysia Tunisia, Kazakhstan thirty percent tariff rates on
- 15:36Speaker 1: imports from South Africa and forty percent tariffs from Mirmar
- 15:41Speaker 1: and Laos. Now, products from Cambodia and Thailand will receive
- 15:46Speaker 1: thirty six percent tariffs, while Serbia and Bangladesh will face
- 15:51Speaker 1: a rate of thirty five percent. Trump and the Indonesian
- 15:56Speaker 1: partners would have a They say imports would have a
- 15:59Speaker 1: thirty two percent tariff and goods from Bosnia would also.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Be tariff at thirty percent.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Now, Trump's message to South Africa was posted on his
- 16:08Speaker 1: true social side, along with letters to other leaders in
- 16:12Speaker 1: other countries. Now, the South African government and the South
- 16:15Speaker 1: African media had largely been complementary of the President in
- 16:20Speaker 1: South Africa's contentious White House meeting in May, but they
- 16:24Speaker 1: overlooked the fact that the president came without any compromise
- 16:27Speaker 1: to offer, and then he left without achieving any agreements,
- 16:31Speaker 1: which is now putting their trade at real risk. Now
- 16:36Speaker 1: South Africa has tweaked the US on foreign policy issues,
- 16:40Speaker 1: recently signing a book of condolence at the Iranian embassy
- 16:46Speaker 1: after the US bomb the country's nuclear site. Again, that's
- 16:50Speaker 1: why the president said, oh, and we're going to slap
- 16:52Speaker 1: you with that additional ten percent anti American policies tariff,
- 16:57Speaker 1: because clearly you're trying to undermine this country. Now, I
- 17:00Speaker 1: tell you all of that to go back to how
- 17:03Speaker 1: quickly things can change. Trump has also come out within
- 17:07Speaker 1: the last couple hours and said that the US is
- 17:10Speaker 1: actually close to making a deal with protectionist India. President
- 17:17Speaker 1: Trump telling reporters this administration is close to finalizing a
- 17:20Speaker 1: trade deal with India. India heads it's bets last week
- 17:23Speaker 1: by notifying the World Trade Organization Knows the WTO that
- 17:27Speaker 1: it could impose up to seven hundred and twenty four
- 17:31Speaker 1: million in retaliatory tariffs against American goods if a trade
- 17:35Speaker 1: deal is not reached, so that would be significant. We
- 17:39Speaker 1: are doing better than ever, is what Trump said to
- 17:42Speaker 1: reporters while meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister net Yai
- 17:45Speaker 1: with the White House, saying, quote, We've never had numbers
- 17:48Speaker 1: like this, We've never had investment like this.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Referring to bring jobs back.
- 17:52Speaker 1: To America, Trump said his administration now has more than
- 17:56Speaker 1: ninety trade proposals that are on the table, saying, quote,
- 17:59Speaker 1: now made a deal with the United Kingdom. We've made
- 18:02Speaker 1: a deal with China, We're getting close to making a
- 18:05Speaker 1: deal with India. Others we meet with and we don't
- 18:09Speaker 1: think are going to be able to make a deal, Well,
- 18:12Speaker 1: then guess what.
- 18:13Speaker 2: We just sent them a letter.
- 18:14Speaker 1: The letter in question, Trump said, would cordially invite nations
- 18:18Speaker 1: that did not make a deal to continue doing business
- 18:22Speaker 1: with the greatest, most successful country ever, provided that they
- 18:26Speaker 1: are willing to pay much higher tariffs. We're sending out
- 18:29Speaker 1: the letters of these various countries telling them how much
- 18:32Speaker 1: tariffs they have to pay. Some will maybe adjust a
- 18:35Speaker 1: little bit, depending if they have a cause. He went
- 18:39Speaker 1: on to explain, We're not going to be unfair about it,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and actually it's a small fraction compared to what we
- 18:45Speaker 1: should be getting.
- 18:46Speaker 2: We should be we could be asking for much more.
- 18:49Speaker 1: The President went on to say, Now, the list of
- 18:51Speaker 1: countries that have received those sorry we couldn't make a
- 18:54Speaker 1: deal with tariff letters, the White House is saying is Thailand, Miramar, Bangladesh,
- 18:59Speaker 1: South Africa, South Korea, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and Japan.
- 19:02Speaker 2: The new tariffs that are scheduled to.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Take effect now August one, so there's still a little
- 19:08Speaker 1: time for these countries to avoid the higher levels by
- 19:11Speaker 1: changing their trade policies with the US. Now, if they
- 19:14Speaker 1: do not make a deal those fourteen countries, the White
- 19:17Speaker 1: House says, we'll face from twenty five percent for Japan
- 19:21Speaker 1: and South Africa up to forty percent for mermar and Laos,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and the President saying again, we're going to be very busy.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Over the next seventy two hours.
- 19:30Speaker 1: We're going to be sending the letters out to our
- 19:32Speaker 1: trading partners, saying that if you don't move things along,
- 19:35Speaker 1: then on August one, you're going to be well boomeranging
- 19:38Speaker 1: back to your April to second tariff levels. So I
- 19:41Speaker 1: think we're going to see a lot of deals very quickly,
- 19:44Speaker 1: is what the Treasury Secretary Scott Bissent said as well today. Now,
- 19:48Speaker 1: the Indian negotiating team, which returned from Washington on Friday
- 19:52Speaker 1: after a week of meetings with their US counterparts, reportedly
- 19:56Speaker 1: sought a quote mini trade deal that would be good
- 19:59Speaker 1: enough to hold Tarif at bay for a bit longer
- 20:01Speaker 1: until the quote more delicate issues can be worked out. India,
- 20:06Speaker 1: which saw twenty five percent tariffs impose on passenger vehicles,
- 20:10Speaker 1: light trucks, and auto parts in March, wrote a letter
- 20:14Speaker 1: as I said a moment ago to the WTO, claiming
- 20:18Speaker 1: that the Trump tariffs violated They said the nineteen ninety
- 20:21Speaker 1: four trade agreement at the heart of the World Trade
- 20:23Speaker 1: Organization India.
- 20:25Speaker 2: By the way, calculate, the US.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Tariffs would affect nearly two point nine billion worth of
- 20:30Speaker 1: imports the United States for a total of seven hundred
- 20:34Speaker 1: and twenty three point seventy five million in tariffs.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So New Delhi.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Would impose, they say, an equivalent amount of duty collected
- 20:43Speaker 1: from products originating in the United States of America as
- 20:47Speaker 1: their retaliatory tariff.
- 20:49Speaker 2: What does this mean?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Simply put one thing, the presence not backing down and
- 20:54Speaker 1: make it clear you better get a deal done quickly
- 20:56Speaker 1: or face the consequences. I want to move on to
- 21:00Speaker 1: something else, and that is what's happening right now in La.
- 21:04Speaker 1: It has not been reported on much because of the
- 21:06Speaker 1: devastation of the flooding in Texas, and our thoughts and
- 21:10Speaker 1: prayers are still with so many in Texas As. Many
- 21:14Speaker 1: are planning funerals now, they're still looking for the bodies
- 21:18Speaker 1: of those that have been lost, and it is just
- 21:20Speaker 1: absolutely tragic. If you miss what I had to say
- 21:22Speaker 1: on this yesterday, go back and listen to that show.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But there's another story that's important, and that is the
- 21:28Speaker 1: anti ice protests that have taken over in LA taken
- 21:31Speaker 1: over the Los Angeles Bridge, and the ACLU is now
- 21:34Speaker 1: filing a lawsuit. I want you to hear this coming
- 21:38Speaker 1: from Fox News about what's happening there now.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Taking over the Sixth Street Bridge one of several rallies
- 21:44Speaker 4: in a citywide day of action against immigration raids.
- 21:47Speaker 5: This bridge has been the entry point fu Boil Heights
- 21:50Speaker 5: to kidnap community members and take them who knows where.
- 21:54Speaker 2: So that was an inspiration.
- 21:56Speaker 4: CHP standing by the freeway off ramps. The group's staying
- 22:00Speaker 4: on the bridge for a while, but eventually moving on
- 22:02Speaker 4: to Royal Heights in Koreatown. Meanwhile, Blessings at another rally,
- 22:07Speaker 4: the coalition of groups including the Tenants Union, marching peacefully
- 22:11Speaker 4: with the message.
- 22:12Speaker 5: We're here to support the Jornalletos A vendors and all
- 22:14Speaker 5: the immigrants in Los Angeles and making sure.
- 22:16Speaker 2: That we retake these streets. We protect each other.
- 22:20Speaker 5: This is the only way that we find we're finding
- 22:23Speaker 5: our safety. So we're making community, We're reaching out to
- 22:25Speaker 5: our neighbors and protecting each other.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Now you can hear these protests becoming a reality. And
- 22:30Speaker 1: then things got worse with the Los Angeles radical Democratic
- 22:34Speaker 1: mayor Karen Bass sparking controversy on social media this week
- 22:38Speaker 1: after she attempted to interfere with ICE agents conducting immigration raids,
- 22:44Speaker 1: calling it outrageous and quote Unamerican. Yes, the LA mayor
- 22:49Speaker 1: are saying it's un American if you don't let people
- 22:53Speaker 1: that break in this country, and many of them that
- 22:55Speaker 1: are criminals stay. Now, she has been a vocal opponent
- 22:58Speaker 1: of immigration raids in her city, appeared at the scene
- 23:03Speaker 1: and demonstrated to well anyone that would film her on
- 23:07Speaker 1: camera because she's one of those psycho narcissists. She also
- 23:11Speaker 1: demanded to speak with ICE leadership when the agents were
- 23:13Speaker 1: conducting an operation at MacArthur Park on Monday, saying they
- 23:18Speaker 1: need to leave.
- 23:19Speaker 2: They need to leave right now.
- 23:20Speaker 1: They need to leave because this is unacceptable, is what
- 23:23Speaker 1: Bass said on the scene.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Now.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Bass claimed on social media there were children playing at
- 23:27Speaker 1: the park, which is well known in the area as
- 23:29Speaker 1: a hotbed of homelessness.
- 23:31Speaker 2: And crime, even during daylight hours.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Minutes before, by the way, there were more than twenty
- 23:37Speaker 1: kids playing. She claimed, then the military came through. The
- 23:41Speaker 1: second I heard about this, I went to the park
- 23:42Speaker 1: to speak to the person charge to tell them it
- 23:44Speaker 1: need to end.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Now, absolutely outrageous.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Well Bass's action, sparking immediate pushback from critics online, saying this,
- 23:54Speaker 1: if only Karen Bass worked as hard for the fire
- 23:57Speaker 1: victims in LA as she does for criminal illegals. That's
- 24:01Speaker 1: what Dara Isa, who represents California's forty eighth congressional district,
- 24:05Speaker 1: said on X.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Another one saying it this way.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Democrats aren't used to seeing the law being enforced. That's
- 24:13Speaker 1: what the communications director for the Florida Republican AG saying
- 24:17Speaker 1: on X. But luckily Karen was able to speak to
- 24:20Speaker 1: the manager, mocking her going into that park losing her
- 24:25Speaker 1: mind for the cameras. Now, the federal government would not
- 24:29Speaker 1: have to deploy against foreign invaders if you would just
- 24:33Speaker 1: stop harboring them, is what GOP represented Mike Collins said.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And here's another one. If you did your job, these
- 24:41Speaker 1: guys wouldn't need to do theirs.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Now.
- 24:43Speaker 1: MacArthur Park is a vile, filthy, drug infesseig gang blankole
- 24:48Speaker 1: worthy of Karen Mass is what actor James Woods said,
- 24:52Speaker 1: saying the Kammie Loser would be happier in Cuba.
- 24:55Speaker 2: So this is where we are.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Democrats are supporting those that are criminals over Americans right now.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Her city, by the way, has managed to issue like
- 25:06Speaker 1: ten rebuilding permits for the victims of the Palisades fire.
- 25:10Speaker 1: But what is she doing instead of helping those Americans. Yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 1: she's focused like a laser on protecting MS thirteen gang members.
- 25:17Speaker 1: That's another example of just how radical the left has become.
- 25:21Speaker 1: And in addition to social media fallout, the border patrol
- 25:24Speaker 1: chief also saying to Fox News that he was the
- 25:28Speaker 1: official that Bass spoke to on the phone at the
- 25:31Speaker 1: scene when she demanded the ray to stop saying this.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I don't work for Kiaren Bass.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Better get used to us now because this is going
- 25:39Speaker 1: to be very normal. We will go anywhere anytime we
- 25:44Speaker 1: want in Los Angeles. Another example of the Trump administration
- 25:48Speaker 1: doing what they promised to voters, getting the worst criminals
- 25:52Speaker 1: that are legal immigrants out of this country.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Now.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Finally, one other update I want to give you about
- 26:00Speaker 1: what has been happening in Texas. A mother is now
- 26:04Speaker 1: crediting a Brave Camp counselors for her two sons escaping
- 26:11Speaker 1: the Texas flooding. It's an incredible story of the lives
- 26:15Speaker 1: that been saved, and I want you to hear what
- 26:17Speaker 1: she had to say on Fox News Channel.
- 26:19Speaker 7: Let's bring in Kelly Raybon, whose two boys escaped the
- 26:24Speaker 7: flooding from another camp about six miles north of Camp
- 26:29Speaker 7: Missed It. Kelly, thank you for being with us camp.
- 26:32Speaker 7: You're probably still shaking.
- 26:33Speaker 4: From all of this.
- 26:34Speaker 7: I can't even imagine what this was like. So give
- 26:38Speaker 7: us a sense of this story. As you started to
- 26:41Speaker 7: understand that something was going on on the river along
- 26:43Speaker 7: where all of these camps are.
- 26:46Speaker 6: So on July fourth, we received a text that was
- 26:51Speaker 6: sent out to all of the parents that said that
- 26:54Speaker 6: they had sustained high waters overnight, but you know that
- 26:59Speaker 6: they were trying to keep the campers safe as best
- 27:02Speaker 6: as possible. And at that point, you know, you think, okay, well,
- 27:07Speaker 6: maybe there's just a lot of rain. But once I
- 27:10Speaker 6: turned on the news, and I live in Houston and
- 27:13Speaker 6: so that's four hours away from me, so I had
- 27:16Speaker 6: to I had to really work to find more information out.
- 27:20Speaker 6: But once I saw this statement from Camp Mystic that
- 27:23Speaker 6: you know, if you're if your daughter is okay, if
- 27:27Speaker 6: you've not been notified yet, I thought, oh my gosh,
- 27:30Speaker 6: this is far more serious than that initial text message
- 27:34Speaker 6: would have led me to believe. And then within a
- 27:37Speaker 6: couple of hours I decided I needed to get in
- 27:39Speaker 6: the car and go, you know, a mom on a
- 27:42Speaker 6: mission to get to my kids.
- 27:45Speaker 7: So I know your sons talked about it. Tell us
- 27:49Speaker 7: how old your boys are and their names. I know
- 27:52Speaker 7: that you know they've had en off of talking about this.
- 27:54Speaker 7: I completely understand. But can you tell us what they
- 27:57Speaker 7: said about what happened and what they remember.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 28:01Speaker 6: So, Brandon, my nine year old, this was his third
- 28:04Speaker 6: year to attend Camp la Hunt and Brock just now
- 28:10Speaker 6: seven year olds turned seven two weeks ago. This was
- 28:13Speaker 6: his first time to attend camp, and they'd only been
- 28:16Speaker 6: there for one full day at this point. They arrived
- 28:20Speaker 6: late Wednesday afternoon, so one full day there, and you
- 28:24Speaker 6: know what they said was as the water in Brock's cabin,
- 28:27Speaker 6: he was in one of three cabins that ended up,
- 28:31Speaker 6: you know, underwater and flooding, and as the water started
- 28:36Speaker 6: to come in his brave camp counselors, who were really
- 28:40Speaker 6: just kids themselves, college kids, they encouraged the boys to
- 28:44Speaker 6: get on the first bunk, and then to get on
- 28:46Speaker 6: the second bunk, and before you know it, they were
- 28:48Speaker 6: lifting the little boys up to the rafters to keep
- 28:51Speaker 6: them out of harm's way, as the windows were breaking,
- 28:55Speaker 6: as the door was coming off, as a wall was
- 28:59Speaker 6: coming down. I just can't imagine how terrifying this was.
- 29:03Speaker 6: And it was happening, you know, as there was as
- 29:06Speaker 6: it was dark, no power. You know, you're so unfamiliar
- 29:10Speaker 6: in this situation. How do you ever prepare for that?
- 29:12Speaker 7: Yeah, we're looking at these charts. It rose twenty five
- 29:15Speaker 7: feet in one hour in the area of Camp Mystic.
- 29:20Speaker 7: So how high were they on the top? How high
- 29:23Speaker 7: was the water in the cabin? And then did they
- 29:25Speaker 7: how did they get out of there?
- 29:27Speaker 6: So my seven year old rock he said that the
- 29:31Speaker 6: water was probably he estimated about three plus feet in
- 29:36Speaker 6: his cabin. Now, you know, he is still in a
- 29:39Speaker 6: state of shock and kind of slowly processing what all
- 29:43Speaker 6: he remembers, but he remembers it being at least high
- 29:47Speaker 6: enough to break the window out. And the camp director,
- 29:52Speaker 6: Scott bravely came at the end to get them out
- 29:56Speaker 6: of the cabins, pulling them down from the afters and
- 30:00Speaker 6: taking them to safety. Brydon, meanwhile, was in a higher
- 30:04Speaker 6: elevated cabin and so his cabin, while it didn't receive
- 30:09Speaker 6: any water, it took in a bunch of boys who
- 30:12Speaker 6: were in flooded cabins and then you know, they were
- 30:15Speaker 6: just left to kind of they didn't know what was
- 30:17Speaker 6: going on. They just entertained each other all day long
- 30:20Speaker 6: as best they could.
- 30:21Speaker 7: So what are your thoughts on this whole thing? You know,
- 30:24Speaker 7: would you send them back to camp given what happened?
- 30:29Speaker 7: How do you feel about it?
- 30:31Speaker 6: I need to think it through, but I can tell
- 30:33Speaker 6: you that Braydon, my older one with you know, two
- 30:36Speaker 6: summers of camp under his belt, says in a heartat
- 30:40Speaker 6: he would go back, and he really hopes. One of
- 30:43Speaker 6: the reasons why they were, you know, have been talking
- 30:46Speaker 6: about it and were comfortable with me talking about it
- 30:48Speaker 6: is because they wanted to represent the pride that they
- 30:52Speaker 6: have in camp, law Hunter. And I remember as a
- 30:55Speaker 6: child the hill country camps that I attended. What a
- 30:59Speaker 6: difference is made for me? And so, I mean, this
- 31:03Speaker 6: is a massive tragedy, but as with tragedies, hopefully we
- 31:08Speaker 6: learn major, major lessons from this. And so, you know,
- 31:13Speaker 6: I'm just so hopeful that we can really take a
- 31:16Speaker 6: hard look at at what went wrong and why.
- 31:19Speaker 1: God bless our first responders and all those that are
- 31:21Speaker 1: helping those in Texas right now.
- 31:23Speaker 2: And we appreciate you listening every day. We'll see you
- 31:26Speaker 2: back here tomorrow.
