- 2:15Speaker 1: on in that house. Please work on the money making conversation.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Troy and Tommy Vincent than good morning. Hey, I'm gonna
- 2:24Speaker 1: tell you something. Uh. Start with Troy. First, Troy, I
- 2:28Speaker 1: met you. You could, don't you meet a lot of people,
- 2:30Speaker 1: you know, I was it was it was being honored
- 2:33Speaker 1: at the in Houston, Texas as my hometown UM for
- 2:37Speaker 1: your your work in the community. I met you at
- 2:39Speaker 1: the Ebony um UH super Bowl party, and then I
- 2:43Speaker 1: met you the very next day, I believe, at the
- 2:47Speaker 1: sell of the Super Bowl Gospel celebration. Congratulations, congratulations, thank you.
- 2:52Speaker 1: How are you doing. I'm doing really good. Now let
- 2:54Speaker 1: me go over to this. See, I'm a baker now,
- 2:56Speaker 1: so I've been waiting on her cuisines, you know, because woman,
- 3:01Speaker 1: through my luck, tight lot, I'm an award winning baker. Tommy, Okay,
- 3:04Speaker 1: I was just gonna do me, you know, talk about
- 3:07Speaker 1: you got these these culinary skins. See I can't put
- 3:10Speaker 1: the word culinary in my conversation, but you can put
- 3:13Speaker 1: the word coloring there. Tell me about you just talking
- 3:14Speaker 1: about your history. I know it's bigger than sitting in
- 3:17Speaker 1: the kitchen watching your grandmother, because that's how I learned
- 3:19Speaker 1: watching my mom, even though she wouldn't let me go
- 3:21Speaker 1: in the kitchen until I was I had to go
- 3:24Speaker 1: to college for I got in the kitchen. Tell me
- 3:26Speaker 1: about that whole culinary background. Then we're gonna pull both
- 3:29Speaker 1: of you two together and and we're gonna win with
- 3:31Speaker 1: this conversation. So um some uh not several, but about
- 3:38Speaker 1: five years ago I had distract for University UM to
- 3:42Speaker 1: acquire my culinary degree, and the significance behind that was
- 3:47Speaker 1: showing my children that it's never too late to pursue
- 3:49Speaker 1: your dreams. And so while I got that classical training,
- 3:54Speaker 1: what I found out in that process is the core
- 3:57Speaker 1: identity of who I am as a chef, and that
- 4:01Speaker 1: stems from the nurturing that I received and my grandmother's
- 4:05Speaker 1: kitchen kitchen. So staying true to that, my food is
- 4:09Speaker 1: about making feel people warm and like they're receiving a
- 4:12Speaker 1: big hug. I don't know what I do. Let's say
- 4:17Speaker 1: I'm a baker. I just want people to smile. I
- 4:19Speaker 1: want to eat my dessert baked banana, putting them me
- 4:22Speaker 1: get Troy homegrown this baked banana brown sugar, monkey bread
- 4:29Speaker 1: nut cake. You know, man, you man, You're at the
- 4:40Speaker 1: heart of the most powerful organization in sports when it
- 4:45Speaker 1: comes to the media. Tell everybody about a day in
- 4:47Speaker 1: the life of ase. You're African American, so you you
- 4:51Speaker 1: take a unique perspective because of the fact that you
- 4:54Speaker 1: in the position that you are. What led you from
- 4:56Speaker 1: playing on the football field to the cold the corporate world.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But when I when I would just say, I've begin
- 5:02Speaker 1: with just my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ
- 5:06Speaker 1: has allowed me to go from being an active participant
- 5:10Speaker 1: on the field to an active contributor off the field
- 5:13Speaker 1: to my current role to day is I have an
- 5:14Speaker 1: opportunity to steal take part in the game, just in
- 5:18Speaker 1: a different seat. No more uniform, no more playing, but
- 5:22Speaker 1: by a way of decisions, collaboration, just working with people
- 5:25Speaker 1: across the country. A day in the life of what
- 5:28Speaker 1: I do every day is educating the players, amplifying what
- 5:31Speaker 1: the players are doing in their communities, working with coaches,
- 5:34Speaker 1: general managers, and owners, just to increase and enhance the
- 5:37Speaker 1: the game itself. No, I'm I'm a fan. I'm a
- 5:41Speaker 1: fan of the of the game. Never played football. When
- 5:45Speaker 1: I watch it uh, I look, I always say football
- 5:48Speaker 1: is a man sport to me. You know. I had
- 5:50Speaker 1: Eddie George on the on the on my show talking
- 5:53Speaker 1: about his accomplishment what he's doing at Ohio State teaching
- 5:56Speaker 1: up there. And Carl Francis is always on my show
- 5:58Speaker 1: just because I always want to talk to take the
- 6:00Speaker 1: number off the player and take the helmet off the player,
- 6:03Speaker 1: because I think that, you know, because because it's such
- 6:06Speaker 1: a violent sports. I guess I feel right when I
- 6:08Speaker 1: say the word violent because it's a contact s board.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Do you somebody see you on the other side of
- 6:12Speaker 1: the field, you go, I'm gonna run as hard as
- 6:14Speaker 1: I can right at you, and the other persons gonna say,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna run as hard as I can't right back
- 6:18Speaker 1: at you, and we're gonna see who's gonna move. That's
- 6:21Speaker 1: a sport. That that that when you look at it,
- 6:23Speaker 1: it's there's a lot of controversy. When I say controversy, concussions.
- 6:26Speaker 1: How do you look at that? And you're both of
- 6:29Speaker 1: your parents, how do you look at that? When you say,
- 6:32Speaker 1: should I have about child play football or should I
- 6:34Speaker 1: not have my child play football? Well, let's start with
- 6:37Speaker 1: the mom um um so we uh, our household is
- 6:42Speaker 1: definitely a football household, UM, and there have been a
- 6:46Speaker 1: lot of positive results as the result of what the
- 6:50Speaker 1: game of football has contributed to our life, UM, in
- 6:54Speaker 1: that the relationship that we've encountered in this journey since
- 7:00Speaker 1: have been tremendous and those relationships have transcendent, transcended from
- 7:05Speaker 1: trying myself and spilled over to our children. And so
- 7:09Speaker 1: from that respective, it's been phenomenal. It is a game
- 7:13Speaker 1: that we understand where injury is not a possibility. It
- 7:18Speaker 1: will happen. It's just a matter of you being responsible
- 7:21Speaker 1: for yourself and making sure you're doing the things necessary
- 7:24Speaker 1: to take care of your body and being a good
- 7:27Speaker 1: steward over your vessel. And so with our boys who
- 7:31Speaker 1: both play football, UH. Two of our three sons play football,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know, we educate them on the game and educate
- 7:38Speaker 1: them on how to take care of their bodies and
- 7:42Speaker 1: being the the voice of reason for their body and
- 7:45Speaker 1: not allowing someone else to dictate to them when it's
- 7:49Speaker 1: good for them to play and when it's not good
- 7:51Speaker 1: for them to play. So you develop leadership and self advocation,
- 7:56Speaker 1: which is a necessary life skill. UM. Be on the
- 8:00Speaker 1: game of football. What a what a wonderful ambassador? Did
- 8:04Speaker 1: you hear that? What did you need to stop? I
- 8:09Speaker 1: know who she is. Okay, that's why I got you
- 8:12Speaker 1: all on the show together, because see, I don't want
- 8:14Speaker 1: one side of the story. Because she had the story
- 8:18Speaker 1: to tell that's equal as important as your story. But
- 8:21Speaker 1: because you went to N Fail. You know, everybody want
- 8:23Speaker 1: to hear the Nfail story when here what try got
- 8:26Speaker 1: to say? I want to hear what Tommy got to say.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And Tommy and try to do the right thing, honey,
- 8:34Speaker 1: because she isn't ambassador for truth, because you know the
- 8:38Speaker 1: thing about it that makes me mad about everybody act
- 8:40Speaker 1: like life is gonna give you a hand of perfection.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I can walk across street right now to be the
- 8:46Speaker 1: last interview I ever do in my life. I don't know,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know, I bungee jumped. I got on the plane
- 8:52Speaker 1: probably three or four times a week. That don't mean
- 8:54Speaker 1: I'm onna land they are. There are options of success
- 8:57Speaker 1: and failure in our life on a regular basis. We
- 8:59Speaker 1: all say yes and no. We all could control that path,
- 9:03Speaker 1: but some people can just dig down and try to
- 9:05Speaker 1: make it like something that's so bad. So when I
- 9:07Speaker 1: heard her part, you said, isn't she a great bad
- 9:10Speaker 1: Now let me hear that. Mr NFL talk. Mr fifteen
- 9:13Speaker 1: year veteran, you know when you know when, when you
- 9:15Speaker 1: know O t A, you know that hot summer, you
- 9:18Speaker 1: know when you got knocked up side in the head.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Why you got your boys playing, Sir? I love everything
- 9:24Speaker 1: about the game. As Tommy had had reference, the game
- 9:29Speaker 1: has been good to us, and I gave us a gift,
- 9:32Speaker 1: if some of us, a gift to play with speed, size, agility,
- 9:35Speaker 1: ability and putting that to usage. We understand. We have
- 9:40Speaker 1: a full understanding. My boys, my wife, all of our
- 9:42Speaker 1: kids have a full understanding of the risk are associated
- 9:46Speaker 1: with contact sports and football is no differently than any
- 9:49Speaker 1: other sports. Uh, there's risk associated with it. But we
- 9:52Speaker 1: love the game. We promote the game. Two boys playing ball.
- 9:56Speaker 1: We love Friday nights, we love Saturdays, and obviously we
- 9:59Speaker 1: love Sunday. Um. So that's what I would say as parents,
- 10:03Speaker 1: as a as an ambassador of the game today, as
- 10:05Speaker 1: someone leading the charge inside of our office along with
- 10:08Speaker 1: some of my colleagues, this is what the game is about.
- 10:11Speaker 1: It's about promoting the goodness of the game. Allows a
- 10:14Speaker 1: lot of men to to go on into paper college education,
- 10:19Speaker 1: to make to make a difference in their community, to
- 10:22Speaker 1: impact their community. Um, and this is what we've done again.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Football has allow Vincent country too, is giving us a
- 10:28Speaker 1: life to impact, to impact the countries, communities around the world.
- 10:36Speaker 1: The measure it is. So why I'm not saying that facetiously?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Why is that important? Why is it important that that you,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you too are giving back? You know, you've got five kids.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You know you're busy already now okay, and you're out
- 10:51Speaker 1: there affecting other people's children, other people adults lives. Why
- 10:55Speaker 1: is that important? I'm a time. If you don't mind,
- 10:58Speaker 1: let me, I'll answer this. Is it simple for me?
- 11:01Speaker 1: When we all get when we all get called home,
- 11:03Speaker 1: when sunset sets will come to be part of all
- 11:07Speaker 1: of our lives. We're all gonna get asked this question,
- 11:09Speaker 1: what did you do for the least of them? And
- 11:11Speaker 1: that is something that much has given, much is required,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but we're all gonna get called that, We're all gonna
- 11:17Speaker 1: be asked that question that the kingdom, what did you
- 11:19Speaker 1: do for the least of them? So that's why it's important.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Has become part of our not just our lifestyles, is
- 11:26Speaker 1: what's part of what we do and why we do it.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And to add to that, to add to that, I
- 11:33Speaker 1: would say that we have made a very deliberate choice
- 11:38Speaker 1: to make deliberate decisions to get deliberate results, and so
- 11:43Speaker 1: invent a country. What we decided to do is to
- 11:47Speaker 1: expose our children to giving back. And giving back translates
- 11:53Speaker 1: to what is important to you and what type of
- 11:55Speaker 1: difference you want to make in someone's life. And so
- 11:58Speaker 1: we have all of our children in some aspect they
- 12:02Speaker 1: give back, and what that allows them to do is
- 12:05Speaker 1: to really begin to tap into who they are as
- 12:08Speaker 1: individuals and identify what is an aspect of their purpose.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And so in the giving back, we're also contributing to
- 12:18Speaker 1: ourselves and developing and becoming good source of life and
- 12:22Speaker 1: being assets to society versus becoming liability. Wow. So the
- 12:29Speaker 1: foundation core is faith, family, and food. Why are those three? Tommy?
- 12:36Speaker 1: So our faith, Um, it drives us to do everything
- 12:39Speaker 1: we do. And one of the things that we have
- 12:43Speaker 1: come to know and in the many years that we
- 12:47Speaker 1: have been together and developing Vincent Country, is that without
- 12:51Speaker 1: our faith, we are liable to walk away and give
- 12:55Speaker 1: up and fall short of UM. Something wonderful and something
- 13:00Speaker 1: a powerful that can make a difference. And so we
- 13:04Speaker 1: allow our faith to drive us so that we do
- 13:07Speaker 1: not quit, we don't give up, we don't give in.
- 13:10Speaker 1: And then the family aspect of it, we realize that
- 13:13Speaker 1: in order for us to go far, we have to
- 13:16Speaker 1: go together. Our intention is to establish a legacy and
- 13:21Speaker 1: to establish something that generations to come from out of
- 13:25Speaker 1: the Troy Darnall Evincent lineage that they will be able
- 13:29Speaker 1: to hold on to something, they'll be able to have
- 13:31Speaker 1: a life that is not only prosperous from a monetary perspective,
- 13:36Speaker 1: but it's just a prosperous way of living. We're gonna
- 13:39Speaker 1: hear food when we come back on the next grade.
- 13:40Speaker 1: We're right back with Troy and Tommy evincing an incredible
- 13:43Speaker 1: couple of power, couple fundamenting conversations will be right back.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I just f Sean McDonald, welcome back to money making
- 13:52Speaker 1: conversations on the phone are Troy and Tommy Vincent. They
- 13:56Speaker 1: established the Vincent Country. Is that faith driven family lifestyle
- 14:01Speaker 1: brand committed to positive social impact. Before we left, before
- 14:05Speaker 1: we went to break time, you were breaking down the
- 14:08Speaker 1: core foundation. We talked about faith. We talked about family
- 14:10Speaker 1: and he was about to wrap it up on food.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Can you reiterate? Yeah, so so going to food. Who
- 14:19Speaker 1: doesn't love food? First of all, um, here you here, you.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I'm a fan. I'm a fan something. I'm a fan,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and I actually think that Rashan, you're trying to you
- 14:31Speaker 1: trying to issue me a battle on heard it? Troy?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Troy finally he heard it. I'm gonna come and we're
- 14:41Speaker 1: gonna eat. Girl, We're gonna eat and some tall something
- 14:44Speaker 1: something something. I don't know what kind of interviews y'all
- 14:47Speaker 1: be doing on the regulation. So I'm a fun guy.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I like to I like to sit back. I'm that
- 14:53Speaker 1: uncle to come there, put his excellently stick his hand
- 14:55Speaker 1: and potato salad in the back of I'm that guy.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I'm that guy. I'm not got turning up the music
- 15:01Speaker 1: and go hey, hey, hey hey, it ain't that kind
- 15:03Speaker 1: of party. Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That's r
- 15:07Speaker 1: Sean McDonald. That's who I am. And so I am
- 15:10Speaker 1: gingerly because you know you're joined charity organizations. I gotta
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'm kind of popular. So if you ever do anything
- 15:16Speaker 1: charity's food Relady car Ra Sean, I fly down there
- 15:20Speaker 1: with my with my pies, with my cakes, and they'd
- 15:23Speaker 1: be for free for whatever y'all want to do, because
- 15:26Speaker 1: y'all trying to make a difference. Troy Tommy, that's what
- 15:29Speaker 1: you'll te y'all, y'all during the unbelievable. I'm so we're
- 15:34Speaker 1: gonna call you out on that. Let's come down for
- 15:36Speaker 1: Super Bowl three in Atlanta. There you go. We're gonna
- 15:40Speaker 1: be there whole week. We're gonna be doing a lot
- 15:42Speaker 1: of cooking and a lot of outreach. So we expect
- 15:45Speaker 1: uncle Uncle are Uncle otter, then somebody take him to
- 15:51Speaker 1: another room in the car and take him home. We're
- 15:55Speaker 1: gonna invite you out when we come on down the
- 15:57Speaker 1: Atlanta here in about six or seven months. And and
- 15:59Speaker 1: let's let's plan it because the thing about it, because
- 16:02Speaker 1: see the thing about it is that I say, what y'all,
- 16:05Speaker 1: what you what? You know? Everybody needs a voice, everybody
- 16:08Speaker 1: needs to you know. That's that that that horne, that
- 16:11Speaker 1: that speaker, that loud speaker. I want to be your
- 16:13Speaker 1: loud speaker for both of you guys, because what Vincent
- 16:16Speaker 1: Country is trying to do is that it's what we
- 16:18Speaker 1: need we need more community involvement from up top, and
- 16:22Speaker 1: it's called it's you're reaching back, you know, because you
- 16:24Speaker 1: could easily, like I said, y'all got five kids, y'all
- 16:26Speaker 1: busy three, three and play football. Y'all my daughter play tennants.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I know how busy I was with just one. Y'all
- 16:34Speaker 1: got three of them out there and two on the way.
- 16:37Speaker 1: So I know what what your lifestyle is all about,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know. So when I hear that, you're talking about
- 16:41Speaker 1: giving back. And so let's tell everybody. I've only talked
- 16:46Speaker 1: mentioned Vincent Country. Everybody know what exactly Vincent Country does.
- 16:52Speaker 1: So Vincent Country. We we have UM some events that
- 16:57Speaker 1: we actually have up and coming that speak to Vincent
- 17:00Speaker 1: Country as a lifestyle brand and what we represent. UM
- 17:04Speaker 1: coming up here in June. The end of June, there
- 17:09Speaker 1: is an exhibit that is taking place. It's the Ernie
- 17:12Speaker 1: Barnes Exhibition opening and it's June UM six to eight pm.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And what people are not familiar with is that we
- 17:21Speaker 1: are avid art collectors and one of the artists that
- 17:25Speaker 1: we have collected throughout our time together is Ernie Barnes.
- 17:30Speaker 1: And people may be familiar with Ernie Barnes through his
- 17:33Speaker 1: piece on Good Times UM, but they are using a
- 17:38Speaker 1: couple of our pictures as a part of that exhibit,
- 17:42Speaker 1: which is at the North Carolina Carolina Museum of History. UM.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So they're going to be featuring Fifth City, which is
- 17:49Speaker 1: one of our commission pieces from Ernie Barnes. And they're
- 17:52Speaker 1: also going to bring in in October Class Reunion, which
- 17:58Speaker 1: is UM one of our other commission pieces. So that's
- 18:03Speaker 1: one thing going on. We believe that art has the
- 18:05Speaker 1: ability one it's an investment to it also has an
- 18:10Speaker 1: ability to kind of paint your picture and bring it
- 18:12Speaker 1: to life. And so that's what we've done with our
- 18:14Speaker 1: commission pieces from the late great Ernie Barnes. UM and
- 18:19Speaker 1: then UM coming up on July A Chess Tommy V
- 18:24Speaker 1: is actually going to be during a segment at Essens
- 18:27Speaker 1: East at the Essens Festival, which is going to be Sunday,
- 18:31Speaker 1: July eight at eleven fifty a. M should be making
- 18:35Speaker 1: tune amounts no problem. He trying to track job. Yeah,
- 18:47Speaker 1: burnt hey brother, No, we messing on my reputation. Now.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You know I ain't married that I think I'm find
- 18:57Speaker 1: you Troy. I know you played fifteen years now, but
- 19:00Speaker 1: I have to come find you messing with my cart.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And so what's the what's the event? What's the only event?
- 19:05Speaker 1: I love this interview. I loved it and yes, so
- 19:09Speaker 1: so the so as I was saying with the s
- 19:12Speaker 1: East at the Essence Festival. So those are two up
- 19:16Speaker 1: and coming events that we have coming up right here
- 19:18Speaker 1: in the near future. And that's Troy alluded to during
- 19:22Speaker 1: the Super Bowl in Atlanta in twenty nineteen, we have
- 19:27Speaker 1: a community engagement event which is Vincent Country Safed on
- 19:31Speaker 1: Activity Day, and then we will also have our Vincent
- 19:35Speaker 1: Country signature brunch. Okay, Oh, that's the call that right there,
- 19:39Speaker 1: that's the call that right there. Yeah, that is food
- 19:43Speaker 1: specifically for you. Okay, I'm just I'm not even raising
- 19:47Speaker 1: a white flag, your boy. I got the raised fists here.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I'm there, okay, and with my burnt care cake as
- 19:55Speaker 1: Mr funny Man, you know, he can throw me under
- 19:57Speaker 1: the bus like you know, he didn't never touched my stuff.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You need to go to my Facebook page. On Tuesdays
- 20:02Speaker 1: and Friday, I spotlight bakers all over America because they
- 20:05Speaker 1: believe Rashan McDonald touched them. They are gifted at their skills.
- 20:10Speaker 1: That's not good. I am, that's not good. I am.
- 20:12Speaker 1: You know you might have been a terror at that
- 20:14Speaker 1: at that at that cornerback position, because I need to
- 20:20Speaker 1: validate that. So let me ask you that. Let me
- 20:22Speaker 1: ask you this. So so then first I wanna tell
- 20:25Speaker 1: you this. Please get those banners to me. Okay, I
- 20:28Speaker 1: got almost a million social media followers. Please get the
- 20:31Speaker 1: bantage to me so I can start supporting Vincent Country
- 20:35Speaker 1: because I know in this business, you know, talk is cheap.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I believe, like I said, what you what you too
- 20:41Speaker 1: are doing. And and the reason I say that because
- 20:45Speaker 1: what you're doing is being passed down to your children,
- 20:48Speaker 1: and they're gonna be good adults. They're gonna understand the
- 20:51Speaker 1: value of giving back, the value of being blessed in
- 20:54Speaker 1: the position that God has allowed them to live under
- 20:58Speaker 1: your guidance. And so that's I try to tell my
- 21:00Speaker 1: adult all the time, is that you know that actual
- 21:03Speaker 1: money doesn't grow on trees. It is very true. And
- 21:06Speaker 1: then to see what you guys are doing means that
- 21:08Speaker 1: you know, we're all gonna make mistakes. But guess what
- 21:11Speaker 1: these they know there's a positive outlook on that, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: that's what God's Vincent Country correct. Absolutely. The you know,
- 21:21Speaker 1: our circumstances don't determine our outcome. We do. And so
- 21:26Speaker 1: we are ambassadors for get back up, kick the dust off,
- 21:31Speaker 1: and keep it moving. And so our children completely understand
- 21:35Speaker 1: that philosophy of lifestyle living and um, that's the example
- 21:40Speaker 1: that we aspire to set for other families that they
- 21:43Speaker 1: have the ability to establish their own country. They have
- 21:46Speaker 1: the ability to find success where they are. It doesn't
- 21:50Speaker 1: matter where you've come from, it doesn't matter what you've
- 21:52Speaker 1: been through. You have the option of pending your own
- 21:57Speaker 1: story and taking back the narrative and become and who's
- 22:00Speaker 1: the desire to be? Okay, tell us about the love
- 22:03Speaker 1: that Neighbor Community Development Opportunity Corporation. Tell us about that, Well,
- 22:07Speaker 1: that's what we began back in I want to say
- 22:10Speaker 1: ninety four, ninety four, that's where we actually began our
- 22:15Speaker 1: work back home in Trent, New Jersey. Were both with
- 22:17Speaker 1: Tommy and I are both from m love Thy Neighbors,
- 22:20Speaker 1: our Community Development and Opportunity Corporation. Where we've we've adopted
- 22:25Speaker 1: elementary schools, we've we've supported At the time we it
- 22:30Speaker 1: was called low income housing, assisting people in low and
- 22:33Speaker 1: low income housing. We've done events around high schools we support.
- 22:40Speaker 1: We have a high school tour college tour where we're
- 22:42Speaker 1: taking young men out of the DMV area and actually
- 22:46Speaker 1: taking them round to to visit colleges, just to get
- 22:49Speaker 1: them out the area to see different things. So love
- 22:52Speaker 1: thy neighbor again something that time and I we began
- 22:55Speaker 1: our work back in Trent, New Jersey, UM just supporting
- 22:58Speaker 1: partner with other organs as that are that are making
- 23:01Speaker 1: the difference grassroot organizations in the city. And then we've
- 23:04Speaker 1: brought that here now that we're in Virginia, the New
- 23:07Speaker 1: York area, so we've been around the country again just impacting,
- 23:11Speaker 1: very being very intentional. So I hope that one thing
- 23:13Speaker 1: that the listeners have an opportunity to take away is
- 23:16Speaker 1: that success is intentional, and so with failure, and you
- 23:20Speaker 1: have to be intentional about what you do, where you go,
- 23:22Speaker 1: who you deal with. UM in preparation and life, and
- 23:26Speaker 1: so with failure, the lack of preparation, you see that
- 23:29Speaker 1: play out each and every day in our lives football
- 23:32Speaker 1: translation or sport translation. My lack of preparation during the
- 23:36Speaker 1: week generally shows up on Sunday. So we want to
- 23:39Speaker 1: be intentional about what we do and how we lead
- 23:42Speaker 1: our lives. Very powerful couple. I have on the phone
- 23:46Speaker 1: Tommy and Troy Vincent. Um what you guys are doing
- 23:50Speaker 1: in with Vincent Company country giving back despite your success.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And I jokingly say that that, uh, with all seriousness,
- 23:59Speaker 1: that the ultimate goal is that that's my dream. I
- 24:02Speaker 1: look back at my life. I've been giving back since
- 24:04Speaker 1: I was eighteen when I was diagnosed with cancer. I
- 24:07Speaker 1: looked at my life and realized that you know that
- 24:10Speaker 1: I've done what I needed to do in my life
- 24:11Speaker 1: if it was my time, because I'm willing to give back.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But more importantly, I just want to create relationship with
- 24:18Speaker 1: you too, and let you know that I'm a fan.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I'm a fan of what you do. I followed you
- 24:23Speaker 1: on the football field, Troy and Tommy, and now I'm
- 24:26Speaker 1: gonna follow you in the kitchen and We're gonna do
- 24:29Speaker 1: some great things together. And just know that I'm the
- 24:32Speaker 1: real deal. Uncle R, Uncle R was there for you.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Uncle is here from you. Take him back to the car. Okay,
- 24:41Speaker 1: that's right, that's right, that's right, that's right, that's right,
- 24:45Speaker 1: that's right. And when you even before you get to
- 24:48Speaker 1: the super Bowl, let's get together. There's no pressure. I'm
- 24:50Speaker 1: just letting you know the doors open. Please get those
- 24:52Speaker 1: banners to me so I can support you too and
- 24:55Speaker 1: your vested country country branding that you're doing throughout the country.
- 24:59Speaker 1: And more important, keep being to two people that I'm
- 25:02Speaker 1: talking to on this phone and keep raising that beautiful family. Okay,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I love both of yourn that we talked. So listening
