Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Newsom Threatens as Trump Deploys plus Closing in on the Autopen Controversy
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: It is an all out war now between Gavin Newsom,
- 0:04Speaker 1: law and order and Donald Trump. Is now Gavin Newsom
- 0:08Speaker 1: is calling Donald Trump a stone cold liar, and California
- 0:12Speaker 1: is now threatening.
- 0:14Speaker 2: To sue Donald Trump.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Now, Donald Trump talked about what's happening in California, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna play that for you in a moment, but
- 0:21Speaker 1: I want to get into the California governor first, And
- 0:24Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom is quote furious about Trump sending in the
- 0:29Speaker 1: National Guard to deal with the anarchy. The California governor
- 0:34Speaker 1: said the state will sue Trump and the administration for
- 0:37Speaker 1: a quote deploying the National Guard to quell the anti
- 0:40Speaker 1: ice protests. Law enforcement officers and protesters are clashing.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Now. It's what day three in Los Angeles.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Locals have taken a visible stand against the president's anti
- 0:50Speaker 1: immigration agenda. Agenda, he claims, and in response, Donald Trump ordered,
- 0:56Speaker 1: this is their spin on it, hundreds of National Guards
- 0:59Speaker 1: troops to intervene and move that Newsom to pride as
- 1:03Speaker 1: a seed intended to quote manufacture chaos and violence, even
- 1:08Speaker 1: though clearly it was done to do the complete opposite
- 1:11Speaker 1: of that. Protect law and order, protect men and women
- 1:14Speaker 1: in uniform protect ICE agents and protect the looting and
- 1:18Speaker 1: anarchy that's happening right now. Quote, Donald Trump has created
- 1:22Speaker 1: the conditions you see on your TV tonight.
- 1:24Speaker 2: So Gavin Newsom's telling MSNBC that.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Trump's order is what caused all this, not illegal immigrants
- 1:31Speaker 1: who were angry that ICE agents were coming in to
- 1:34Speaker 1: get stone cold killers, murders, rapists, child molesters, sex traffickers,
- 1:39Speaker 1: fetanyl sellers, and actual people that are involved in terrorist
- 1:42Speaker 1: organizations off the street.
- 1:43Speaker 2: No, no, that's not it.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Newsom says Trump's order is unconstitutional and it's his fault
- 1:51Speaker 1: that LA is burning.
- 1:53Speaker 2: He said he's putting fuel on this fire.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Now attention, he would refer to it that way because
- 1:58Speaker 1: it was just twenty four hours early that Newsom and
- 2:01Speaker 1: those in LA and quentn the mayor said that like
- 2:05Speaker 1: there was no issue, there was no riot, there was
- 2:08Speaker 1: no violence, that everything was fine.
- 2:10Speaker 2: So my question is what happened in the last twelve hours.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Now.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Trump's executive order was very clear. It directed the Department
- 2:18Speaker 1: of Defense to coordinate with effective governors to distribute National
- 2:21Speaker 1: Guard troops throughout their states. But as Newsom tells it,
- 2:23Speaker 1: they never did opening room as they describe it for
- 2:26Speaker 1: the lawsuit, saying, quote, there's protocol, there's a process. He
- 2:29Speaker 1: didn't care about that. So again, Trump's trying to stop anarchy.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Knew some saying it's your fault. There is anarchy, even
- 2:36Speaker 1: though we're the ones that led in millions of illegals
- 2:39Speaker 1: and we were allowing them to surround and attack ice
- 2:43Speaker 1: federal agents and locked them in essence in their buildings surrounded.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Newsomb also said he spoke with the President for nearly
- 2:52Speaker 1: twenty minutes over the phone late Friday after the protests
- 2:55Speaker 1: it started, but that the protests quote barely came up
- 2:58Speaker 1: despite his attempts as to the conversations towards LA if
- 3:02Speaker 1: anybody believes that you're an idiot, but we'll keep going.
- 3:05Speaker 1: He then wanted to say he wanted to talk about
- 3:07Speaker 1: all these other issues. Newsom continued he never once brought
- 3:11Speaker 1: the National Guard. He's a stone cold liar, he said
- 3:13Speaker 1: he did. I've always wanted to approach engagement with the
- 3:16Speaker 1: President of the United States in a respectful and responsible way.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But there's no working with this president. There's only working
- 3:23Speaker 1: for him, and I will never work for Donald Trump.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom said now in a separate interview with podcaster
- 3:30Speaker 1: Brian Tyler Cohen, which is interesting that again he's got time.
- 3:34Speaker 2: To go on a podcast right while while LA's burning.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Newsom warned that define the language of the executive order
- 3:41Speaker 1: will allow Trump to replicate the situation in LA in
- 3:45Speaker 1: cities across the country, saying, quote, this is a preview
- 3:49Speaker 1: for things to come. This isn't about La per se.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's about us today and you everyone watching tomorrow. Donald
- 3:56Speaker 1: Trump is unhinged right now. News went on to say,
- 4:00Speaker 1: so Donald Trump was asked about this, and again Newsom
- 4:02Speaker 1: is now saying, we're going to sue Donald Trump, sending
- 4:05Speaker 1: Democrats love to do.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Sue Donald Trump. Take a listen to this from the president.
- 4:10Speaker 4: And right around the time that we were walking in here,
- 4:13Speaker 4: the governor and the state attorney general said that they're
- 4:17Speaker 4: going to sue you for sending the National Guard. And
- 4:19Speaker 4: they're saying, there's no invasion, there's no rebellion. The president
- 4:22Speaker 4: is trying to manufacture chaos and crisis on the ground
- 4:25Speaker 4: for his own political ends. Federalizing the California National Guard
- 4:30Speaker 4: is an abuse of the president's authority under law.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Well, you know it's interesting, you watched the same clips
- 4:36Speaker 5: as I did. Cars burning all over the place, people
- 4:39Speaker 5: riding and by the way we stopped it, we were
- 4:42Speaker 5: able to make it much better, but it still looked
- 4:44Speaker 5: pretty bad. And in watching clips last night, people were saying,
- 4:48Speaker 5: this is really a big problem, and until we went in,
- 4:52Speaker 5: if we didn't do the job, that place would be
- 4:54Speaker 5: burning down, just like.
- 4:55Speaker 6: The houses burned down. They were in big.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Trouble last night, Peter, you know it, and the night before,
- 5:00Speaker 5: night before that, And I feel we had no choice.
- 5:03Speaker 5: I don't want to see I don't want to see
- 5:06Speaker 5: happen what happened so many times in this country. I
- 5:09Speaker 5: watched Minneapolis burn, I watched look at what happened in
- 5:13Speaker 5: so many different parts of California. You take a look
- 5:16Speaker 5: at what happened in San Diego. There's so many different
- 5:20Speaker 5: places where we let it burn. We want to be
- 5:23Speaker 5: politically correct, we wanted to be nice. We want to
- 5:26Speaker 5: be nice to the criminal, and what you're doing is
- 5:28Speaker 5: destroying the fabric of our life in this country. Now,
- 5:31Speaker 5: we did the right thing. We've been given credit for
- 5:34Speaker 5: by people that I would least suspect why I would
- 5:37Speaker 5: say that some of the people that came in and
- 5:39Speaker 5: said Thank goodness, they said, some of them, thank god
- 5:44Speaker 5: that Trump got involved. And I'm very happy I got involved,
- 5:47Speaker 5: and I think Gavin, in his own way, is probably
- 5:50Speaker 5: happy I got involved.
- 5:51Speaker 6: You go ahead.
- 5:53Speaker 4: What do you make of the fact that he says,
- 5:55Speaker 4: you want a civil war on the streets of America?
- 6:00Speaker 5: So it's just the opposite. I don't want a civil war.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Civil war would happen if you left it, if you
- 6:04Speaker 5: left it to people like him. And I liked him,
- 6:07Speaker 5: you know, I always got along with him, never had
- 6:09Speaker 5: a problem with him.
- 6:11Speaker 6: But he's grossly incompetent.
- 6:13Speaker 2: So let me just make a prediction for you.
- 6:17Speaker 1: When you hear Gavin Newsom saying what he just said,
- 6:21Speaker 1: what you need to understand is that this is not
- 6:25Speaker 1: organic what we're witnessing in California. Number one and number two,
- 6:29Speaker 1: and this is my prediction, is you are going to
- 6:32Speaker 1: witness this summer virtually a repeat of what we saw
- 6:38Speaker 1: with the summer of the Black Lives.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Matter rallies slash riots.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The Democratic Party and the dictators and tyrants, the communists,
- 6:51Speaker 1: the socialists, the Marxists that have the money, they're going
- 6:54Speaker 1: to fund this damn thing, and they're going to fund
- 6:57Speaker 1: it and they're going to make sure that they're people
- 7:00Speaker 1: that are shipped around the country, and they're gonna have
- 7:03Speaker 1: people that organize it, and they're gonna have people that
- 7:05Speaker 1: use social media and texting to get the anarchy started.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And they're going to do this is my prediction, the
- 7:12Speaker 1: same thing that we saw with Black Lives Matter. They
- 7:15Speaker 1: want unrest, they want civil unrest, and they want you
- 7:19Speaker 1: depend it on Trump so that when Trump sends in
- 7:21Speaker 1: the National Guards, like see, he's the one instigan is
- 7:24Speaker 1: He's the one that's setting the city on fire. It's
- 7:26Speaker 1: not us, It's Donald Trump that's doing it. Let's also
- 7:29Speaker 1: realize here who they're defending. They're defending illegal immigrants. I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: gonna say that again. They're defending illegal immigrants over American
- 7:37Speaker 1: cities that are burning. They're advocating for people who are
- 7:42Speaker 1: in this country that are wanted for committing the most
- 7:46Speaker 1: heinous crimes you can commit, because that is who Ice
- 7:49Speaker 1: is going after. La They were not going after people
- 7:52Speaker 1: that were just in the country illegally. They were going
- 7:54Speaker 1: after hardened criminals. They weren't just picking up mom and
- 7:58Speaker 1: pop illegal immigrants. Now by the way I think they
- 8:01Speaker 1: should be. But they weren't, and that is who the
- 8:04Speaker 1: Democratic Party is protecting. So I'm gonna just tell you
- 8:08Speaker 1: right now, get ready for this. Okay, get ready for it.
- 8:12Speaker 1: This is coming to have a lot of other cities.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I have a gut feeling Donald Trump and Gavin Newsom.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom not threatening to sue illegal immigrants that are
- 8:23Speaker 1: gang bangers and child molesters. Know he's threatening to sue
- 8:27Speaker 1: Donald Trump number one. Number two, Donald Trump is talking
- 8:31Speaker 1: about why he's sent in the National Guard. And there's
- 8:34Speaker 1: also been questions about if Gavin Newsom continues to defive
- 8:38Speaker 1: federal law and obstruct justice, should he be arrested.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I want you to hear more of the Q and
- 8:44Speaker 2: A with Donald Trump. Listen, when you were.
- 8:46Speaker 7: Talking about unrest in American cities, you said.
- 8:48Speaker 8: Quote, we have to go by the laws.
- 8:50Speaker 7: We can't call in the National Guard unless we're requested
- 8:53Speaker 7: by a governor.
- 8:54Speaker 8: What change now?
- 8:55Speaker 7: Why is this situation different to not consult with Governor
- 8:58Speaker 7: Newsom about that?
- 8:59Speaker 5: The biggest shame from that statement as we have an
- 9:01Speaker 5: incompetent governor. So I talked about governors, but I didn't
- 9:04Speaker 5: talk about he's an incompetent governor. Look at the job
- 9:06Speaker 5: he's doing in California. He's destroying one of our great states.
- 9:10Speaker 5: And if I didn't get involved, if we didn't bring
- 9:13Speaker 5: the guard in, and we would bring more in if
- 9:15Speaker 5: we needed it, because we have to make sure there's
- 9:18Speaker 5: going to be law and order. You had a disaster happening,
- 9:23Speaker 5: and they now admit it was a disaster. I watched
- 9:25Speaker 5: the chief yesterday, was a good man, by the way,
- 9:28Speaker 5: and he said, well, we're lucky we did this because
- 9:31Speaker 5: they were overwhelmed. You saw what was happening, so we
- 9:35Speaker 5: did the right thing. Everybody agrees to that. But you
- 9:39Speaker 5: have a governor who let the city burn down, and
- 9:41Speaker 5: we didn't want water to be sent down to him,
- 9:44Speaker 5: and I sent billions of gallons of water. Said I
- 9:48Speaker 5: wanted to do it in the first term. We wouldn't
- 9:50Speaker 5: do it over I don't know they have environmental reasons,
- 9:53Speaker 5: but there were no environmental reasons. It's I think it's
- 9:56Speaker 5: just a political philosophy. But it's lucky for the people
- 10:01Speaker 5: in Los Angeles and in California that we did what
- 10:04Speaker 5: we did.
- 10:05Speaker 6: We got it just in time. It's still simmering a
- 10:07Speaker 6: little bit.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Primary crime is running for governor because he's done such
- 10:11Speaker 5: a bad job. What he's done to that state is
- 10:14Speaker 5: like what Biden did to this country, and that's pretty bad.
- 10:19Speaker 6: It's wrong philosophy.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Thousands, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, many of them prisoners.
- 10:27Speaker 5: They are taking up your health care, they're taking up
- 10:29Speaker 5: your space and schools, they're taking up your hospital and
- 10:33Speaker 5: in many cases they're criminals, and we have to do
- 10:36Speaker 5: something about it, and we're doing something about it. I
- 10:39Speaker 5: want to thank the incredible patriots of Ice and Tom
- 10:42Speaker 5: Holman who's been incredible, and Christinome likewise incredible. The job
- 10:49Speaker 5: they're doing. It's like an unforced era. There was no
- 10:53Speaker 5: reason for this. Twenty one million people were allowed into
- 10:56Speaker 5: our country and many of those people were criminals, and
- 11:00Speaker 5: it's a shame. It's a shame, but we're getting them out.
- 11:03Speaker 5: And I will say it's I think it's a ninety
- 11:06Speaker 5: five to five issue, just like so many other issues,
- 11:09Speaker 5: ninety five to five and the Democrats lost an election
- 11:13Speaker 5: in a landslide because they're on the wrong side of
- 11:16Speaker 5: the issues. I mean, it's not even conceivable that somebody
- 11:21Speaker 5: would do.
- 11:21Speaker 6: The kind of things that he did.
- 11:23Speaker 5: And then you know, you talk about projects they want
- 11:26Speaker 5: to build a train going from San Francisco to la
- 11:29Speaker 5: and it's costing hundreds of billions of dollars more than
- 11:32Speaker 5: they thought it was going to cost. It's not even
- 11:34Speaker 5: believable to bread and to people sitting here.
- 11:37Speaker 6: Would you believe that a train it was.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Going to cost X dollars that it might be one
- 11:42Speaker 5: hundred times X would.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Have paid for this for about fifty million American children.
- 11:48Speaker 6: You're right, fifty million American children. Instead of a three
- 11:51Speaker 6: mile train track that never got built.
- 11:54Speaker 5: We could have put Lincoln in George with no experience.
- 11:56Speaker 5: He would have done a good job. I guarantee you
- 11:59Speaker 5: that a right, please, Peter.
- 12:05Speaker 4: So it seems like Gavin Newsom likes the attention that
- 12:08Speaker 4: he's getting right now from it seems like he does.
- 12:14Speaker 4: If you look at recent history, somebody who was running
- 12:16Speaker 4: for president you who got arrested and had a mug shot,
- 12:20Speaker 4: you could make the argument that politically that wound up
- 12:23Speaker 4: helping you. Are you worried at all at this moment?
- 12:27Speaker 4: But talking about him getting arrested could be helpful to
- 12:30Speaker 4: his political prospects because a lot of people think he
- 12:33Speaker 4: wants to be sitting right where you are.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Well, in my case, it was a witch hunt and
- 12:37Speaker 5: everybody knew it, and I was able to explain that
- 12:39Speaker 5: during the process, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here right now,
- 12:42Speaker 5: and it was a total witch hunt. Has proved to
- 12:44Speaker 5: be a witch hunt. And you see what's happened in
- 12:46Speaker 5: his case. It really is very obvious. You look at
- 12:49Speaker 5: what's happened between the fires between I could name ten
- 12:54Speaker 5: things right now. We talk about the trains, we talk
- 12:57Speaker 5: about all of the costs, and you talk about all
- 13:01Speaker 5: of the people that are flowing and destroying life for
- 13:03Speaker 5: everyone else. So no, I don't think it's going to
- 13:06Speaker 5: help him. I think it's I think it's actually very
- 13:08Speaker 5: bad for him.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Well, let me also just be clear about Gavin Newsom
- 13:12Speaker 1: and what he's trying to do here. He's trying to
- 13:15Speaker 1: give himself a platform to run against the Republican Party
- 13:19Speaker 1: and really Donald Trump and whoever becomes Trump two point
- 13:23Speaker 1: zero jd Vance is who he's obviously thinking here. So
- 13:26Speaker 1: this is a political move, all right, political move, straight
- 13:33Speaker 1: up political move by Gavin Newsom to say this is
- 13:36Speaker 1: a political war. You can watch this happen on TV
- 13:41Speaker 1: if you're watching MSNBC, for example, it was said earlier today.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Any Democrat fighting against Trump, it always accrues to their benefit,
- 13:50Speaker 1: is what one of.
- 13:50Speaker 2: The guys said on MSNBC.
- 13:54Speaker 1: They're not thinking about human life, protecting property, They're only
- 13:58Speaker 1: thinking about the politics.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Take a wish.
- 14:02Speaker 9: Newsom has been recently trying to move a bit towards
- 14:04Speaker 9: the middle. You know, he's gone on some writing podcasts,
- 14:07Speaker 9: He's made some statements about trans athletes that really royals
- 14:10Speaker 9: a lot of the Democratic base. Does this help him
- 14:13Speaker 9: get Democrats back on side as some have kind of
- 14:16Speaker 9: grown frustration with the way he's been moving and speaking
- 14:19Speaker 9: in recent months.
- 14:20Speaker 10: Well as a political matter alone, I mean putting aside
- 14:23Speaker 10: the more im morality of the authoritat nature of stuff
- 14:26Speaker 10: that we're seeing as a political matter for sure. You know,
- 14:29Speaker 10: any Democrat showing a fight against Donald Trump, it always
- 14:34Speaker 10: accrues to the benefit of those, whether you know Jasmincrockett, AOC,
- 14:38Speaker 10: Bernie Sanders, Gavin Newsom, whoever it might be. If you
- 14:42Speaker 10: are demonstrating that you know, you have the courage, the
- 14:46Speaker 10: convictions of your and the confidence to assert that you
- 14:50Speaker 10: have a very different moral and values driven viewpoint of America,
- 14:56Speaker 10: one that is built around solidarity of all of us
- 14:58Speaker 10: and not picking on a up on the weakest and weakest.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Then yeah, I think that it's going to prove.
- 15:04Speaker 10: Him politically for sure, and we'll see how way that goes.
- 15:07Speaker 10: Whether you can become a president off of that, don't know,
- 15:09Speaker 10: but I think we're all looking for and wanting strong
- 15:12Speaker 10: leadership in this moment to take on Donald Trump.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I mean you hear this.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Any Democrat fighting against Trump, it always occurs to a
- 15:19Speaker 1: cruise to their benefit. So this is politics. This is
- 15:21Speaker 1: not about safety. They don't care people die, right like
- 15:24Speaker 1: they don't care. Baker also said on Trump and Newsome
- 15:29Speaker 1: trading insults. He says Trump operates better when he has
- 15:33Speaker 1: a putug enemy. He looks for people to contend with,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so they don't understand that there are people suffering in
- 15:39Speaker 1: the streets.
- 15:40Speaker 2: No, it's again all political.
- 15:42Speaker 8: Newsome and now it's on Pierre.
- 15:45Speaker 9: To that point, Trump has been picking a fight with
- 15:47Speaker 9: Gavin Newsom for years, obviously probably because of his potential
- 15:51Speaker 9: presidential aspirations. But there's a bit of why are you
- 15:55Speaker 9: so obsessed with me?
- 15:56Speaker 7: Going on?
- 15:56Speaker 9: Here? You know, Trump is president, he's in the Oval office,
- 15:59Speaker 9: he is tom limited. Why does he care so much
- 16:02Speaker 9: about who potentially runs in twenty twenty eight, and should
- 16:05Speaker 9: that tell us something?
- 16:07Speaker 11: Well, Trump always operates better when he has an enemy, right,
- 16:09Speaker 11: Politically speaking, he is most comfortable.
- 16:12Speaker 8: When he has somebody to go after.
- 16:14Speaker 11: And at the moment, he doesn't have a challenger, right,
- 16:16Speaker 11: he doesn't have a you know, another candidate to go after,
- 16:19Speaker 11: and so he's looking for people.
- 16:21Speaker 8: To contend with. He likes to mix it up in
- 16:25Speaker 8: some ways.
- 16:25Speaker 11: Gavin Newsom is an obvious, you know, antagonist. He's the
- 16:28Speaker 11: head of the largest state in the country.
- 16:30Speaker 8: He's the head of a state that.
- 16:32Speaker 11: Is seen as an example of liberal America, which Trump
- 16:35Speaker 11: is targeting in so many ways through academia, through law firms,
- 16:39Speaker 11: through you know, the news organizations, and so on.
- 16:42Speaker 8: You know, Trump believes that he, or.
- 16:43Speaker 11: At least is given the idea that he is deconstructing
- 16:46Speaker 11: the liberal state as it were, as it's developed over
- 16:49Speaker 11: the last number of generations. And in some ways, Gavin
- 16:51Speaker 11: Newsom represents that he represents the state that represents that.
- 16:55Speaker 11: It's also you know, Newsom is a pugilist as well.
- 16:57Speaker 11: He has some of the Trumpian qualities. He's willing to
- 16:59Speaker 11: get out there and mix it up himself.
- 17:01Speaker 8: He doesn't mind it goes scrap politically.
- 17:04Speaker 11: I think he likes being the one who will take
- 17:06Speaker 11: on Donald Trump and being the one person that Trump
- 17:11Speaker 11: seems most eager to fight with.
- 17:14Speaker 1: This is again how little they care about law enforcement
- 17:18Speaker 1: or human life power. The Future is now calling Congress
- 17:23Speaker 1: to investigate the validity of former President Joe Biden's signatures. Now,
- 17:29Speaker 1: a pro energy group is renewing their call now for
- 17:33Speaker 1: this investigation into over half a dozen Biden administration executive
- 17:37Speaker 1: actions specifically related to climate that it believes should be
- 17:42Speaker 1: deemed Nolan void due to them being signed by an
- 17:45Speaker 1: Auto Pin without any public comment at all from the
- 17:50Speaker 1: former President Joe Biden, confirming his knowledge of even what
- 17:54Speaker 1: was happening. They reviewed eight by an executive orders that
- 17:58Speaker 1: it says were signignificant shifts in domestic energy policy, and
- 18:03Speaker 1: they said it found no evidence of the present speaking
- 18:06Speaker 1: about any of these eight publicly, raising major concerns that
- 18:11Speaker 1: the orders were signed by auto Pen and that he
- 18:14Speaker 1: was not even aware that they were going to become
- 18:16Speaker 1: executive action, saying quote, these are not obscure bureaucratic memos,
- 18:21Speaker 1: these were fundamental shifts in American energy policy, yet not
- 18:26Speaker 1: once did Joe Biden speak about them publicly. That's what
- 18:30Speaker 1: Daniel Turner, the founder executive director of Power for the Future,
- 18:33Speaker 1: said in an interview. Now the executive order is reviewed
- 18:37Speaker 1: by Power of the Future. Included an Arctic drilling ban
- 18:40Speaker 1: in twenty twenty three, also a twenty twenty one executive
- 18:44Speaker 1: order committing the federal government to quote net zero admissions
- 18:49Speaker 1: by twenty fifty and an executive order mandating quote clean
- 18:53Speaker 1: energy AI centers and an offshore drilling ban executive order
- 18:58Speaker 1: that Joe Biden, in theory, signed before leaving office in
- 19:02Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, They said, finding no evidence of Biden
- 19:07Speaker 1: publicly speaking about the executive orders on climate, they then
- 19:12Speaker 1: sent a letter this week to the DOJ, the EPADI,
- 19:18Speaker 1: and DOE, along with the House and Senate oversight committees,
- 19:22Speaker 1: calling for an investigation to determine who made these decisions,
- 19:26Speaker 1: who drafted the executive orders, and ultimately who signed them,
- 19:31Speaker 1: since they believe it clearly wasn't Joe Biden. Quote in
- 19:34Speaker 1: light of the growing evidence that actions purportedly taken by
- 19:38Speaker 1: the former president may not have been approved or signed
- 19:40Speaker 1: by him, but instead by a small group of advisors
- 19:45Speaker 1: in his name, without his knowledge, or over his signature,
- 19:49Speaker 1: using an auto pen. The need for Congressional access to
- 19:52Speaker 1: information has grown in importance with these revelations. The letter
- 19:57Speaker 1: to the GOP House Oversight Committee Chair James co states saying, quote,
- 20:02Speaker 1: Congress deserves to know how or whether these executive actions
- 20:06Speaker 1: were authorized and whether the former president was aware of
- 20:10Speaker 1: such orders before they were implemented by the federal bureaucracy.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Were these actions taken on behalf of the president and
- 20:18Speaker 1: purporting to excuse authority undertaken with the president's knowledge an
- 20:22Speaker 1: approach question mark. It appears incumbent upon Congress to inquire
- 20:27Speaker 1: about all parties involved in these actions, who instructed them
- 20:32Speaker 1: to do what and when now. The president's auto pen
- 20:37Speaker 1: has been a topic of conversation in Republican circles in
- 20:41Speaker 1: recent weeks and months, as questions continue about Biden's mental
- 20:45Speaker 1: acuity during his presidency, particularly the last few days when
- 20:50Speaker 1: they've come under scrutiny after the release of Jake Tapper
- 20:53Speaker 1: and Alex Thompson's book Original Sin. One of the things
- 20:57Speaker 1: that is very clear is now those of the White
- 20:59Speaker 1: House are concerned that the President of the United States of
- 21:02Speaker 1: America may have been hijacked by a group of individuals
- 21:06Speaker 1: who had no authority or power to do what they
- 21:09Speaker 1: were doing. I want you to take a listen to this.
- 21:12Speaker 1: As Representative Jim Jordans shared his concerns about Biden's alleged
- 21:17Speaker 1: auto pen use and who was actually behind it.
- 21:20Speaker 12: Chris preparing to blow the lid off the biggest political
- 21:23Speaker 12: cover up in American history as more troubling information emerges
- 21:27Speaker 12: about former President Joe Biden's mental decline. Now, according to
- 21:32Speaker 12: a brand new bombshell book, one insider made it clear
- 21:35Speaker 12: that there were account of five people running the country
- 21:38Speaker 12: and Biden was not one of them. So the question
- 21:41Speaker 12: is obvious who was running the show? Well, according to
- 21:43Speaker 12: one cabinet secretary, it was Biden's aide who held all
- 21:47Speaker 12: the power. Now that book's co author is actually calling
- 21:51Speaker 12: out the undemocratic Biden white house.
- 21:55Speaker 13: These aides were not even Senate confirmed aids. These are
- 21:58Speaker 13: a white House aids. These were unelecked people. And one
- 22:01Speaker 13: of the things that really think comes out and are
- 22:03Speaker 13: reporting here is that if you believe, and I think
- 22:06Speaker 13: a lot of these people do sincerely believe that Donald
- 22:07Speaker 13: Trump was and is an essential threat to democracy. You
- 22:11Speaker 13: can nationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things, which I
- 22:15Speaker 13: think is what this person is talking about.
- 22:17Speaker 12: Heard a lot of that in my conversations with Lindy
- 22:20Speaker 12: Lee Maytime. Congress is also investigating that cover up. The Senate,
- 22:24Speaker 12: in fact, wants to talk with twenty eight top level
- 22:26Speaker 12: Biden officials, while the House has had to be looking
- 22:29Speaker 12: into unauthorized us of the auto pen by Joe Biden.
- 22:34Speaker 3: When you sign a document that has legal implications, it
- 22:38Speaker 3: has to be signed perfectly. It can't be signed by
- 22:41Speaker 3: an autopin. So I think that if we can understand
- 22:44Speaker 3: more about the autopen and whether or not Joe Biden
- 22:46Speaker 3: authorized it, I think this could lead to a lot
- 22:49Speaker 3: of those executive orders being kicked out in court.
- 22:53Speaker 12: James Comer speaking there with Jesse Waters. Maintime House Republicans
- 22:58Speaker 12: are also demanding to hear from Biden, doctor, and four
- 23:01Speaker 12: other White House officials in an effort to uncover the truth.
- 23:05Speaker 12: So joining us now is the Judiciary Committee Chair and
- 23:08Speaker 12: Ohio Congressman, the Great Jim Jordan Congressman.
- 23:11Speaker 6: Listen, this is a simple question.
- 23:13Speaker 12: For you, What, if anything, can we expect to happen
- 23:16Speaker 12: in the wake of these House investigations into the Biden
- 23:19Speaker 12: cover up and the autopen use.
- 23:22Speaker 14: Well, I don't know if there's an easy answer. I mean,
- 23:24Speaker 14: we'll see. I think Chairman Comer will probably lead this investigation.
- 23:28Speaker 14: We can look at the folks who were supposedly making
- 23:31Speaker 14: the decision. One thing we know for sure it wasn't
- 23:32Speaker 14: Joe Biden, So we can talk to these folks. My
- 23:35Speaker 14: guess is they'll try to assert some privilege if in
- 23:37Speaker 14: fact we.
- 23:37Speaker 8: Ever bring them in.
- 23:39Speaker 14: But you're I think it's right in your lead there.
- 23:42Speaker 14: You talk about it's supposed to be people who put
- 23:45Speaker 14: their name on the ballot, who are elected by we,
- 23:47Speaker 14: the people who make the decision. It's not supposed to
- 23:49Speaker 14: be other folks who aren't elected or in this case
- 23:52Speaker 14: aren't even confirmed by the United States Senate. So we'll
- 23:56Speaker 14: dig into this. But I think the real culprit, of course,
- 23:58Speaker 14: is the media. And you mentioned that, But I mean,
- 24:00Speaker 14: Jake Tapper made money tell us everything was fine. Now
- 24:03Speaker 14: he's making more money writing the book telling us no,
- 24:05Speaker 14: it wasn't fine. I think that's the real concern here,
- 24:08Speaker 14: is what the mainstream media got away with, or what
- 24:11Speaker 14: they thought they were getting away with the good news
- 24:14Speaker 14: is the American people figured it out on November fifth
- 24:16Speaker 14: and made sure President Trump was our next president.
- 24:18Speaker 15: They sure did. Congressman, I want to stick on the
- 24:21Speaker 15: topic of Biden's autopen use. You know, specifically, we're hearing
- 24:24Speaker 15: that he used the autopend to sign executive orders right
- 24:27Speaker 15: issuing pardons. Senator Roger Marshall last night told us that
- 24:31Speaker 15: could be a huge problem.
- 24:33Speaker 3: They didn't think.
- 24:33Speaker 8: We understood, They didn't think we knew what was going on, but.
- 24:36Speaker 4: We did, and we're I'm especially especially concerned about the
- 24:39Speaker 4: people that he pardoned.
- 24:40Speaker 8: And he was pardoning these folks even though they hadn't
- 24:43Speaker 8: been convicted of a crime. It just doesn't add up.
- 24:45Speaker 15: Congressman, on that note, do you think those pardons are
- 24:49Speaker 15: executive orders? Are those void invalid?
- 24:52Speaker 8: I think what you have.
- 24:53Speaker 14: To demonstrate is that the folks who actually signed him,
- 24:57Speaker 14: or whoever did, or whether it was the autopin or
- 24:59Speaker 14: what's how Joe Biden didn't really give it the okay.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Now.
- 25:03Speaker 14: I think if you get him in they'll probably say, well,
- 25:05Speaker 14: my boss told me it was fine, or we heard
- 25:07Speaker 14: that the President said it was fine.
- 25:08Speaker 8: We got okay from whoever whoever we worked.
- 25:10Speaker 14: For there in the way. I soon they'll do some
- 25:12Speaker 14: kind of some kind of rational, some kind of answer
- 25:14Speaker 14: like that. But again, you got to work through this
- 25:16Speaker 14: all we If we bring these folks in, you'll have
- 25:19Speaker 14: to ask them, you may have to even subpoena. And
- 25:21Speaker 14: then at some point when they come in, will they
- 25:23Speaker 14: assert some kind of privilege, executive privilege.
- 25:25Speaker 6: That's all.
- 25:26Speaker 8: That's all part of it. We'll just have to see.
- 25:28Speaker 14: But as I said, I think I think the Oversight
- 25:30Speaker 14: Committee under Chairman Comer on the House side will probably
- 25:33Speaker 14: will probably lead this investigation.
- 25:35Speaker 1: All right, So let's go back to the legal nature
- 25:37Speaker 1: of this and get down to the brass tax of
- 25:41Speaker 1: this subject of an auto pen number one, it's a
- 25:44Speaker 1: device that physically holds a pen in his programmed to
- 25:47Speaker 1: replicate a person's signature. The Justice Departments Office the Legal
- 25:52Speaker 1: Counsel determined in two thousand and five that the President's
- 25:55Speaker 1: permitted to use an autopen to sign bills into law,
- 25:58Speaker 1: and the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit
- 26:00Speaker 1: issued a ruling in February that said the absence of
- 26:03Speaker 1: a writing does not equate to proof that a commutation
- 26:09Speaker 1: did not occur.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Quote unquote now.
- 26:12Speaker 1: In March, President Trump claimed that Biden's pardons of lawmakers
- 26:15Speaker 1: who served on the House Select Committee to investigate the
- 26:18Speaker 1: January sixth Capitol riot and others are quote void, alleging
- 26:23Speaker 1: that they had been signed via an autopen and that
- 26:26Speaker 1: Biden did not even know about them. Now, despite Trump's
- 26:31Speaker 1: concern over the validia Biden's pardons due the alleged use
- 26:34Speaker 1: of an autopen, conscidial scholars have said, well, this is
- 26:39Speaker 1: going to be a tough one in court and a
- 26:41Speaker 1: very high barred across to be able to get this undone.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Jonathan Turley put it this way on Fox, saying, quote
- 26:47Speaker 1: presidents are allowed to use the autopen and courts will
- 26:50Speaker 1: not presume a dead hand conspiracy.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Now Power the Future's letter.
- 26:56Speaker 1: References House Speaker Mike Johnson, who in January shared that
- 26:59Speaker 1: Biden and during a meeting, appeared to forget that he
- 27:03Speaker 1: signed an order to pause liquid national gas exports. A
- 27:08Speaker 1: report published by an arm of the Heritage Foundation also
- 27:11Speaker 1: claimed that the majority of official documents signed by Biden
- 27:15Speaker 1: were allegedly an auto pen signature, and there's a very
- 27:18Speaker 1: good chance the president didn't know what was going on.
- 27:20Speaker 2: At all now.
- 27:22Speaker 1: During the Biden administration, hundreds of billions of dollars were
- 27:25Speaker 1: funneled towards pet green projects while the American fossil fuels
- 27:29Speaker 1: industry was punished, and there is no evidence that Biden
- 27:33Speaker 1: ordered it, directed it, or even was aware it was
- 27:36Speaker 1: happening in his name. That is another big question that's
- 27:40Speaker 1: now being asked.
- 27:41Speaker 2: So do we deserve to know, yes, who.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Was signing the executive orders behind closed doors. It's a
- 27:48Speaker 1: great question where people paying for access, and the autopin
- 27:53Speaker 1: scandal is evidence that many of these executive orders, many
- 27:57Speaker 1: of them green executive orders, could number one very well
- 28:01Speaker 1: be invalid and the American people deserve to know it
- 28:05Speaker 1: should be thoroughly investigated by the Department of Justice. I
- 28:10Speaker 1: think it's clear that's a violation to trust the American
- 28:12Speaker 1: people and it could have been a great fraud done
- 28:17Speaker 1: on the American people in the name of the President
- 28:19Speaker 1: when he didn't even know it was actually happening. Make
- 28:23Speaker 1: sure you share this podcast with your family and friends,
- 28:26Speaker 1: put it up on social media wherever you are, and
- 28:29Speaker 1: we appreciate you listening every day.
- 28:31Speaker 2: We'll see you back here tomorrow.
