Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / DEBATE NIGHT!
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is a special post debate Verdict with Ted Cruz
- 0:06Speaker 2: and Ben ferguson podcast. We get to do these on
- 0:09Speaker 2: big nights jointly like this. Depending on where you're listening
- 0:12Speaker 2: to us right now, you get us both. Senator your
- 0:15Speaker 2: initial reaction, we're doing this right now midnight Eastern. You
- 0:20Speaker 2: watch the debate. I watched the debate. What were your
- 0:23Speaker 2: big takeaways? Well, tonight was a big and consequential debate.
- 0:27Speaker 2: But I have to say it before we get into it.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Then this entire podcast we're going to analyze the debate
- 0:33Speaker 2: in depth and say what it showed about about where
- 0:37Speaker 2: the race is, where President Trump is, where Kamala Harris is.
- 0:41Speaker 2: But I do want to point out it is exactly
- 0:43Speaker 2: midnight as you and I are recording, which means that
- 0:46Speaker 2: it has just become September eleventh, and for our listeners
- 0:50Speaker 2: who are downloading this, you'll be downloading this today during
- 0:54Speaker 2: September eleventh. And so I just want to start by
- 0:57Speaker 2: acknowledging that twenty three years ago, the worst terrorist attack
- 1:01Speaker 2: in our nation's history happened, and you and I both
- 1:07Speaker 2: lived through nine to eleven. We had friends who lost
- 1:10Speaker 2: their lives in nine to eleven. We saw the agony.
- 1:14Speaker 3: And we have talked on this podcast many times about
- 1:18Speaker 3: my view that today we have a greater risk of
- 1:21Speaker 3: a major terrorist attack than we have had any time
- 1:24Speaker 3: since September eleventh, two thousand and one, because of the
- 1:28Speaker 3: disastrous policies of the last four years. And so I
- 1:31Speaker 3: want to acknowledge that at the front end, and then
- 1:35Speaker 3: we're going to walk through right now what the biggest
- 1:39Speaker 3: takeaways are from the debate tonight.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm so glad that you mentioned the front end.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And you also have a story to talk about that
- 1:48Speaker 2: deals with those that lost their lives as we were
- 1:50Speaker 2: pulling out of that ga Afghanistan. We're going to chat
- 1:53Speaker 2: about that coming up in just a little bit. I
- 1:55Speaker 2: want to tell you real quick about our friends over
- 1:57Speaker 2: at Patriot Mobile. If you have a cell phone in

- 3:43Speaker 2: com slash verdict. That's Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict or
- 3:47Speaker 2: nine seven to Patriot for your free month of service
- 3:50Speaker 2: Today Center. This was a obviously important debate for Kamala Harris.
- 3:57Speaker 2: It was really a rollout and a sens where she
- 4:00Speaker 2: could be challenged. What we quickly saw though, was a
- 4:05Speaker 2: three on one debate against Donald Trump and ABC News.
- 4:09Speaker 1: What an end kind donation they gave.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Yeah, the ABC moderators did not do a good job
- 4:15Speaker 3: that They clearly were biased towards Kamala Harris. We saw
- 4:19Speaker 3: that from their live quote fact checking, where repeatedly they'd
- 4:22Speaker 3: follow up what Trump said by contradicting him, by disputing him.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Many instances their fact checks were wrong and they never
- 4:30Speaker 3: never could be bothered a fact check a word that
- 4:31Speaker 3: came out of Kamala Harris's mouth. It was very one
- 4:34Speaker 3: sided on that front. But look, ABC News was the
- 4:38Speaker 3: least consequential part of tonight. What Tonight illustrated is that
- 4:43Speaker 3: Kamala Harris is utterly incapable of defending her own record.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And what we saw tonight, this was her stump speech,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and this was her DNC convention speech, cut into sound
- 4:59Speaker 3: bite and repeated. She memorized a series of vignettes, a
- 5:04Speaker 3: series of little segments, and just repeated those talking points
- 5:08Speaker 3: at nauseum. And it really became clear with the very
- 5:12Speaker 3: first question of the night, and the first question of
- 5:15Speaker 3: the night that David Muir asked her, is the question
- 5:18Speaker 3: that you and I and Monday's podcast said is the
- 5:21Speaker 3: single most important question of the debate and really of
- 5:24Speaker 3: every election, which is are you better off than you
- 5:27Speaker 3: were four years ago? And to Mere's credit, he started
- 5:32Speaker 3: with that question, are people off today than they were
- 5:35Speaker 3: four years ago? Under Trump? Now? Interestingly enough, Kamala refused
- 5:39Speaker 3: to answer it at all. She didn't say yes, she
- 5:41Speaker 3: didn't say people's lives are better, she said nothing at all. Instead,
- 5:45Speaker 3: she had a little memorized set peace about how I
- 5:48Speaker 3: was raised in a middle class family. I was raised
- 5:51Speaker 3: with a mom who loved me and struggled. And she
- 5:53Speaker 3: just talked about her bio and gave just just empty
- 5:59Speaker 3: platitudes that continued for the entire night. And so look,
- 6:05Speaker 3: we saw this evening. Why it is that Kamala's campaign
- 6:11Speaker 3: team keeps her hidden in Joe Biden's basement. Why they
- 6:15Speaker 3: just bring her out, have a read from a teleprompter,
- 6:18Speaker 3: and then they tackle her and throw her back in
- 6:20Speaker 3: the basement. Because all right, let's take the very simple question.
- 6:23Speaker 3: She didn't say, yes, you're better off than you were
- 6:25Speaker 3: four years ago. Why, well, you really can't, Like it's
- 6:27Speaker 3: impossible to defend on every front. Inflation. All let's just
- 6:31Speaker 3: take inflation in the economy. Her policies and Joe Biden's
- 6:36Speaker 3: policies have been disastrous America. The working people of America
- 6:42Speaker 3: have seen the price of just about everything go up,
- 6:44Speaker 3: from food to electricity, to rent, to lumber, to healthcare,
- 6:49Speaker 3: to gasoline, to mortgages, everything go up. And critically, this
- 6:55Speaker 3: is where her record matters. Kamala Harris was the tie
- 6:59Speaker 3: breaking vote multiple times on the floor of the Senate
- 7:03Speaker 3: on trillions of dollars of the out of control spending
- 7:07Speaker 3: from this administration that has caused this inflation. She was
- 7:12Speaker 3: literally without her vote the trillions of dollars that we
- 7:15Speaker 3: borrowed and the trillions of dollars that Joe Biden and
- 7:19Speaker 3: Kamala Harris ran the printing presses on that drove this
- 7:22Speaker 3: inflation that doesn't happen, and she can't defend that. She
- 7:26Speaker 3: doesn't have a good answer. When it comes to energy
- 7:28Speaker 3: and gas prices. People are hurting because of gas price
- 7:32Speaker 3: as well. It is her policies, in Joe Biden's policies
- 7:36Speaker 3: that has waged war systematically on oil and gas production
- 7:40Speaker 3: and American energy, and she can't defend that either, and
- 7:45Speaker 3: so instead she simply says, well, we're going to lower
- 7:48Speaker 3: energy prices, We're going to lower gas prices, and with
- 7:51Speaker 3: no acknowledgment that Wait a second, she is, in fact
- 7:55Speaker 3: the sitting vice president, and who knows where the heck
- 7:57Speaker 3: the actual president is besides pass out to sleep on
- 8:00Speaker 3: a beach.
- 8:02Speaker 2: When you see, I think the strategy and and now
- 8:05Speaker 2: it actually I think makes more sense, right like just
- 8:08Speaker 2: hide her buy ads, get the media to cover for
- 8:12Speaker 2: you and protect you at all costs. And maybe that
- 8:16Speaker 2: is a winning strategy, which comes to the obviously the
- 8:19Speaker 2: next big question, should there be another debate?
- 8:22Speaker 1: Do you believe there will be?
- 8:23Speaker 2: In the other debate, they were obviously in the Harris
- 8:26Speaker 2: camp implying that there was a big victory tonight, saying
- 8:29Speaker 2: that was fun, Let's do it again, and threw out
- 8:31Speaker 2: another date. Uh, signaling from her campaign they want to
- 8:36Speaker 2: tee it up again and go toe to toe with
- 8:39Speaker 2: Donald Trump again. Is that the right move for her?
- 8:42Speaker 3: Well, listen, I think Trump should absolutely accept that offer
- 8:45Speaker 3: for another debate. They should jump on it and say
- 8:47Speaker 3: let's go. I think the debate is a valuable opportunity
- 8:52Speaker 3: to calmly litigate her actual record. And let me say
- 8:58Speaker 3: this though, even if Trump does follow that advice and
- 9:03Speaker 3: does accept the debate, I think there's very little chance
- 9:06Speaker 3: it happens. I think Kamala's team will back out on it.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I think they're mostly just puffing out their chest and
- 9:11Speaker 3: boasting right now with the offer of another debate, I
- 9:14Speaker 3: think there is no world in which they let her
- 9:17Speaker 3: do a second debate. I think it's back to the basement.
- 9:20Speaker 3: And if I were to predict, we're not going to
- 9:22Speaker 3: see Kamala emerge from the basement until election day. It's
- 9:27Speaker 3: like the groundhog until she sees her shadow on election day,
- 9:30Speaker 3: she doesn't get to come out of the basement other
- 9:32Speaker 3: than to show up at a rally here and there
- 9:35Speaker 3: and read from the teleprompter the same speech. But they
- 9:38Speaker 3: want to keep her absolutely controlled and repeating and listen,
- 9:44Speaker 3: I will say, the Democrat Party has very good message masters.
- 9:48Speaker 3: They have very good This is the party of Hollywood,
- 9:50Speaker 3: this is the party of storytellers. Her memorized set pieces,
- 9:55Speaker 3: some of them are pretty effective. They're disconnected from reality.
- 9:58Speaker 3: They don't acknowledge any facts on earth. But if you
- 10:01Speaker 3: just listen to them, they are calmly, reassuring, they sound nice.
- 10:08Speaker 3: And it's why. Look, this is the same reaction I
- 10:10Speaker 3: had with her convention speech. It's dangerous as hell, because
- 10:14Speaker 3: if you're not paying close attention, what she says sounds
- 10:17Speaker 3: nice unless she is forced to confront her actual own record.
- 10:23Speaker 3: And in the entire debate, the ABC moderators never once
- 10:28Speaker 3: pointed out that her record is exactly the opposite of
- 10:31Speaker 3: what she said on the debate stage over and over again.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So when I watched the debate, the question I always
- 10:36Speaker 2: ask myself is okay, if I was going in a
- 10:39Speaker 2: night voting for Donald Trump, was I convinced by Kamala
- 10:42Speaker 2: Harris that I should switch my vote?
- 10:44Speaker 1: The answer honestly is no.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And if I'm a Kamala Harris voter and was going
- 10:49Speaker 2: into the night watching Kamala Harris saying I'm going to
- 10:52Speaker 2: vote for her. Am I going to switch my vote
- 10:54Speaker 2: to Donald Trump tonight? Honestly? Probably not? Does that mean
- 10:57Speaker 2: that this is a draw? And since where Hey, Donald
- 11:01Speaker 2: Trump's team they walk out of this going okay, maybe
- 11:05Speaker 2: we could have done a little better on this that
- 11:07Speaker 2: or the other. Maybe we'll work on that for the
- 11:08Speaker 2: next subbay, but we didn't do any harm and we
- 11:11Speaker 2: got out. Are some good points. Kama's team probably says, hey,
- 11:14Speaker 2: we had it. We survived the night we had you
- 11:16Speaker 2: in hiding in the basement. Is this one of those
- 11:19Speaker 2: debates that we both said was one of the most
- 11:21Speaker 2: important ever? But could in theory be a draw? Because really,
- 11:24Speaker 2: you're if the if the barometer is I'm trying to
- 11:28Speaker 2: change hearts and minds. Did anyone's mind change tonight?
- 11:32Speaker 3: Well, Kamala's team and all of our cheerleaders in the
- 11:35Speaker 3: corporate media are going to relentlessly hype that she won,
- 11:38Speaker 3: that she won, that she won. And by the way,
- 11:40Speaker 3: they were going to say that whatever happened, she could
- 11:42Speaker 3: literally fall to the ground and start screaming and wailing
- 11:44Speaker 3: and kicking her feet in the air, and they would
- 11:46Speaker 3: say she won, so that that was going to be
- 11:48Speaker 3: the narrative regardless. I will say, what we learned is
- 11:52Speaker 3: she doesn't have a good answer to her own record.
- 11:56Speaker 3: The Trump campaign needs to continue to prosecute the case.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So let's let's take, for example, there was a hole
- 12:01Speaker 3: back and forth on abortion, and Trump said accurately that
- 12:06Speaker 3: she supports late term abortions into the eighth and ninth
- 12:10Speaker 3: months of pregnancy, and she just said, over and over again, no,
- 12:13Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't that's false, that's false, and
- 12:17Speaker 3: the moderators sat there like potted plants. Well, it so
- 12:21Speaker 3: happens that Kamala actually has a record, and in particular,
- 12:24Speaker 3: she has voted for legislation on the floor of the
- 12:27Speaker 3: Senate to strike down every single restriction on abortion in
- 12:31Speaker 3: the country and to legalize abortion in the eighth and
- 12:35Speaker 3: ninth months up to the moment of birth. That is
- 12:39Speaker 3: her actual voting record, what she has voted for. There
- 12:42Speaker 3: was another exchange where Trump points out that the governor
- 12:45Speaker 3: of Virginia, the former governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, had
- 12:49Speaker 3: advocated for post birth abortion, and she flat out lied
- 12:54Speaker 3: and said no, no, he didn't know.
- 12:55Speaker 2: He didn't any play that because we have that clip.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And this is why I love doing this show, is
- 13:01Speaker 2: we get to play it. This is Northam on the
- 13:03Speaker 2: radio on WTP saying what she said, and the media said,
- 13:09Speaker 2: never happened.
- 13:11Speaker 4: If a mother is in labor, I can tell you
- 13:13Speaker 4: exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered, the
- 13:18Speaker 4: infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated
- 13:22Speaker 4: if that's what the mother and the family desired, and
- 13:25Speaker 4: then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mothers.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I mean, where's the fact check for ABC News on that? Senator?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and understand Ralph Northam, he was a Democrat governor
- 13:38Speaker 3: of Virginia. He was also someone whose medical school yearbook
- 13:43Speaker 3: featured a picture of a klansman. That's another part of
- 13:47Speaker 3: Ralph Northm's background. But he was also an obg y n.
- 13:50Speaker 3: So he was actually talking about as a doctor who
- 13:53Speaker 3: presumably has done that. He was describing the approach, and
- 13:56Speaker 3: that is delivering a baby. The baby is alive, is eathing,
- 14:00Speaker 3: is outside the mother's womb, and he's talking about just
- 14:02Speaker 3: letting the baby die. And again, this is where records matter.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Kamala has a record on this. So when she says
- 14:10Speaker 3: that's ridiculous, that's no, no, no, no, no, that's not true. Well,
- 14:14Speaker 3: Kamala Harris voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act,
- 14:18Speaker 3: and that was a bill that we voted on the
- 14:20Speaker 3: floor of the Senate that said if during the course
- 14:23Speaker 3: of an attempted abortion, the child is delivered, the child
- 14:27Speaker 3: is born, and this happens, and the child is alive
- 14:31Speaker 3: and breathing and outside the womb, that the doctor cannot
- 14:35Speaker 3: just let the baby die. And she voted no. Now,
- 14:40Speaker 3: as you noted, ABC did in fact check her on that,
- 14:43Speaker 3: her voting record is very clear, and this was a
- 14:46Speaker 3: pattern over and over and over again on energy. So
- 14:52Speaker 3: her big trick now on energy is she's run away
- 14:55Speaker 3: from her long held position opposing fracking. Okay, fine, so
- 14:59Speaker 3: she he's like, yeah, I just flip flopped on that.
- 15:02Speaker 3: What ABC didn't point out is, well, wait a second,
- 15:05Speaker 3: your repeated statements about banning fracking. That's not the only
- 15:08Speaker 3: thing you've done on energy. First week in office, you
- 15:11Speaker 3: and Joe Biden shut down the Keystone pipeline. Joe Biden,
- 15:16Speaker 3: when he was campaigning for president, promised to shut down
- 15:18Speaker 3: drilling on shore, on federal lands and offshore. You put
- 15:21Speaker 3: in over ninety different regulations and executive orders attacking oil
- 15:26Speaker 3: and gas production in the United States that has had
- 15:29Speaker 3: a very direct effect driving up cost. Your administration banned
- 15:35Speaker 3: new permits exporting liquid natural gas. Like her record on
- 15:40Speaker 3: energy is terrible, and she has no answer to that.
- 15:44Speaker 3: And by the way, Trump did a good job on
- 15:46Speaker 3: this point of saying, listen, you banned the Keystone pipeline
- 15:50Speaker 3: and gave a giant gift of Vladimir Putin by allowing
- 15:55Speaker 3: him to complete the Nordstream two pipeline, which caused the
- 15:57Speaker 3: war in Ukraine. And that's something you and I have
- 15:59Speaker 3: talked about on this podcast a lot. It was my
- 16:02Speaker 3: legislation in the Senate that sanctioned Nordstream two and shut
- 16:06Speaker 3: it down. Trump signed my legislation and Putin literally stopped
- 16:10Speaker 3: building the nord Stream two pipeline the day that Trump
- 16:13Speaker 3: signed my sanctions legislation in the law. Nordstream two was
- 16:18Speaker 3: a dead hunk of metal at the bottom of the
- 16:19Speaker 3: ocean until Joe Biden and Kamala Harris came into office.
- 16:22Speaker 3: And and they demonstrated weakness, and and and they waived
- 16:26Speaker 3: the sanctions on nord Stream two. And it was a
- 16:29Speaker 3: multi billion dollar gift to to Russia, and it caused
- 16:33Speaker 3: the war in Ukraine. None of that does she have
- 16:37Speaker 3: an answer for.
- 16:39Speaker 2: We just got in the official number. ABC News fact
- 16:43Speaker 2: check Donald Trump seven times, not one time the debate.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Did they fact check Kamala Harris?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Not once?
- 16:52Speaker 2: So that's the official caw tally now is seven times
- 16:55Speaker 2: on Trump. That's three on one, And I do think
- 16:59Speaker 2: that's going to have a turn off, I would hope
- 17:02Speaker 2: to some of those voters, maybe in the middle, the undecideds,
- 17:06Speaker 2: which very much can be the deciding factor in this election.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Will that play with undecideds? Do you think did they
- 17:13Speaker 2: see the bias that you and I saw?
- 17:15Speaker 3: They saw that some, but I think they also go
- 17:18Speaker 3: in expecting the media to be biased. So I don't
- 17:20Speaker 3: think anyone is surprised that ABC is a left wing
- 17:25Speaker 3: mouthpiece for the Democrats. That's been the case sadly for
- 17:28Speaker 3: a long time for ABCNBCCBSC and AN, MSNBC, all of
- 17:31Speaker 3: them have been mouthpieces for the Democrats. So yes, they
- 17:35Speaker 3: saw it, but again they're not surprised. Look, the critical
- 17:40Speaker 3: thing that we saw tonight is is she doesn't have
- 17:42Speaker 3: a good answer on the chaos at our southern border.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Kamala Harris was the borders are. She is directly responsible
- 17:51Speaker 3: for the worst level of illegal immigration in our nation's history.
- 17:56Speaker 3: She is directly responsible for the people who have died.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Eight hundred and fifty three migrants died last year crossing
- 18:04Speaker 3: Allelian in this country. She is responsible for the people,
- 18:08Speaker 3: the women who have been brutally raped. She's responsible for
- 18:12Speaker 3: the children who have been brutalized. She's responsible for the
- 18:15Speaker 3: little boys and little girls who've been horribly assaulted by
- 18:18Speaker 3: human traffickers. She's responsible for the one hundred and ten
- 18:21Speaker 3: thousand Americans who died last year of drug overdoses. She
- 18:24Speaker 3: is responsible for the murderers that she and Joe Biden
- 18:30Speaker 3: had in their custody. Murderers like the illegal alien murderer
- 18:34Speaker 3: of Lake and Riley that she and Joe Biden had
- 18:36Speaker 3: in custody, and they released murderers like the illegal alien
- 18:39Speaker 3: murderer of Rachel Morin that illegal alien was in her custody.
- 18:44Speaker 3: She released them. Murderers like the illegal alien murderers of
- 18:49Speaker 3: Joscelyn Nungary. Both of them were in her custody and
- 18:53Speaker 3: she and Joe Biden released them, and so that record.
- 18:56Speaker 3: She was not forced tonight to answer for any of
- 18:59Speaker 3: that record and that but it demonstrated that she does
- 19:05Speaker 3: not have a good response. And and that's what I
- 19:10Speaker 3: think the next two months the Trump campaign has to
- 19:14Speaker 3: prosecute systematically based on the facts. Here is her record,
- 19:19Speaker 3: here is what she has done, and it hasn't worked.
- 19:22Speaker 3: It has failed, and the American people are worse off
- 19:26Speaker 3: as a result of the failures of her extreme policies.
- 19:30Speaker 2: As every one of you knows, I'm a staunch advocate

- 19:36Speaker 2: of my favorite pastimes and I own not only guns,
- 19:40Speaker 2: but literally guns that have saved my life. I was
- 19:43Speaker 2: in a shooting and I had to use a firearm
- 19:45Speaker 2: to protect and defend myself, and without having that firearm
- 19:48Speaker 2: in the Second Amendment, I wouldn't be here talking to
- 19:51Speaker 2: you right now. I want to tell you about my

- 21:05Speaker 2: to bring up some more of this stuff, and I
- 21:07Speaker 2: think you and I've talked about this, but let's just
- 21:09Speaker 2: remind people since kamayers took off, as total prices are
- 21:13Speaker 2: up over twenty percent, car insurance up fifty four percent,
- 21:16Speaker 2: hotels are up. Say when you rent a hotel fifty
- 21:19Speaker 2: one point two percent, Gases up fifty point fifty percent,
- 21:23Speaker 2: fuel oil is up forty nine point one, transportation up
- 21:26Speaker 2: thirty two point nine Electricity is up thirty one point
- 21:30Speaker 2: seven percent.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Baby food's up over thirty fIF.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Percent, eating out of up twenty five percent, airfare up
- 21:36Speaker 2: twenty three percent, rent up twenty two percent, and groceries
- 21:40Speaker 2: are up about twenty two percent as well. That's what
- 21:44Speaker 2: they've got to focus on, every single one of a
- 21:46Speaker 2: surrogate's not all this other in the weed stuff. I
- 21:50Speaker 2: really do believe they've got to keep it simple for
- 21:54Speaker 2: the American voter, especially if you're trying to go after undecided.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Sure, and that's what we talk talked about in Monday's pod,
- 22:01Speaker 3: that that the focus needs to be on harms, harms, harms.
- 22:05Speaker 3: How are people's lives worthought? Worse off because of the
- 22:10Speaker 3: horrible policies that Kamala Harris is directly responsible for. And
- 22:15Speaker 3: and that's true on inflation, she was literally the tie
- 22:18Speaker 3: breaking vote behind the trillions of spending that that unleash
- 22:22Speaker 3: this inflation. It's true on energy, she and Joe Biden,
- 22:26Speaker 3: it has been their executive orders and their regulations that
- 22:29Speaker 3: have driven up energy prices. And and it's true on
- 22:33Speaker 3: the border, and and and let me play there that
- 22:35Speaker 3: there was one of the best exchanges with something Trump
- 22:38Speaker 3: said on the border where he made the point that
- 22:40Speaker 3: that that that listen, she she could secure the border today,
- 22:44Speaker 3: and and and and and listen listen to this what
- 22:46Speaker 3: what what he said to her? Right now?
- 22:48Speaker 5: I would say we would both leave this debate right now.
- 22:51Speaker 5: I'd like to see her go down to Washington, D C.
- 22:55Speaker 5: During this debate because we're wasting a lot of time.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Go down to because she's been so bad, it's so ridiculous.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Go down to Washington, D C.
- 23:02Speaker 5: And let her sign a bill to close up the border,
- 23:05Speaker 5: because they have the right to do it.
- 23:07Speaker 1: They don't need bills.
- 23:08Speaker 5: They have the right to do the president of the
- 23:10Speaker 5: United States, you'll get them out of bed.
- 23:12Speaker 1: You'll wake them up at four o'clock in the afternoon.
- 23:14Speaker 5: You'll say, come on, come on down to the office,
- 23:16Speaker 5: let's sign a bill.
- 23:18Speaker 1: It was a great moment in the debate.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Yeah, look, that point is very powerful. And understand this
- 23:24Speaker 3: invasion at our southern border. It is happening right now today.
- 23:30Speaker 3: There are hundreds, if not thousands of illegal immigrants crossing
- 23:34Speaker 3: the border right now today today Joe Biden and Kamala
- 23:38Speaker 3: Harris are apprehending hundreds, if not thousands of illegal aliens
- 23:41Speaker 3: and they're going to release them tomorrow. There are criminals
- 23:46Speaker 3: they're going to release tomorrow. There are murderers they're going
- 23:49Speaker 3: to release going forward. There are rapists, there are child molestors,
- 23:52Speaker 3: and they keep on doing it. And the point Trump
- 23:54Speaker 3: is making, and listen, his campaign needs to follow this
- 23:58Speaker 3: up by explaining, by by really explaining. Look, when Joe
- 24:02Speaker 3: Biden and Kamala Harris came into office, they inherited the
- 24:06Speaker 3: lowest rate of illegal immigration in forty five years. Donald Trump.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I worked hand in hand with President Trump to secure
- 24:13Speaker 3: the border, and we had incredible success. When Trump was president,
- 24:18Speaker 3: the border was secure. And it was unilateral executive actions
- 24:24Speaker 3: that caused this crisis. Three decisions that Biden Harris did
- 24:28Speaker 3: in the very first week. Number one, they immediately halted
- 24:32Speaker 3: construction of the border wall. Number two, they reinstated the
- 24:35Speaker 3: disastrous policy of catch and release, and number three, they
- 24:38Speaker 3: pulled out of the incredibly successful Remain in Mexico agreement.
- 24:42Speaker 3: All three of those they could reverse tomorrow, and so
- 24:47Speaker 3: the point like, literally, go down to the White House
- 24:49Speaker 3: right now and do it. That is absolutely right. It
- 24:53Speaker 3: is also right that if and I pray when Trump
- 24:56Speaker 3: is reelected that he will reverse all three of those
- 25:00Speaker 3: decisions on January twentieth of next year, and we will
- 25:04Speaker 3: see the border crisis end and it will end quickly.
- 25:07Speaker 3: And so that point was very effective. Let me say also,
- 25:10Speaker 3: Ben I thought the foreign policy portion of the debate
- 25:15Speaker 3: was particularly strong for Trump, and it was very weak
- 25:18Speaker 3: for Kamala Harris. At one point she looks over at
- 25:21Speaker 3: Trump and says, well, you know, everyone knows that he
- 25:24Speaker 3: was weak and ineffective on foreign policy. And I got
- 25:27Speaker 3: to say to me that that was a laugh line.
- 25:30Speaker 3: And listen, if you look across the globe, we had
- 25:34Speaker 3: peace and prosperity when Trump was president. We had no
- 25:37Speaker 3: foreign wars, and in fact, we saw peace breaking out
- 25:41Speaker 3: in the Middle East. We saw the Abraham Accords being signed,
- 25:43Speaker 3: we saw Arabs and Israelis coming together. And I think
- 25:49Speaker 3: it is absolutely the case that if Trump were still
- 25:51Speaker 3: in the White House today, the war in Ukraine would
- 25:54Speaker 3: not have happened, in the war in Israel would not
- 25:55Speaker 3: have happened. That it was Joe Biden Kamala Harris's weakness
- 26:00Speaker 3: that caused those wars, and critically, and Trump did a
- 26:04Speaker 3: good job of this too, laying out that that Listen,
- 26:06Speaker 3: Kamala Harris has flowed over one hundred billion dollars to Iran.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Iran provides ninety percent of the funding for Hamas, ninety
- 26:15Speaker 3: percent of the funding for Hesbela. Kamala Harris, in a
- 26:19Speaker 3: very real sense paid for the death squads that carried
- 26:23Speaker 3: out the atrocities on October seventh, and and and Kamala
- 26:28Speaker 3: has no answer to that, and and and tonight showed
- 26:31Speaker 3: that powerfully.
- 26:33Speaker 5: You know.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I also think, and you go to the end of
- 26:34Speaker 2: the debate that one of the best parts was actually
- 26:38Speaker 2: Donald Trump in his closing argument. And it goes back
- 26:41Speaker 2: to the campaign strategy I think he needs to have
- 26:45Speaker 2: moving forward, and that is to make sure he makes
- 26:49Speaker 2: this about what she has done in comparison to what
- 26:55Speaker 2: she claims she wants to do while she's in charge.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Like you're in charge, you're in charge, You're in charge?
- 27:01Speaker 3: Is it? In Trump?
- 27:03Speaker 5: So she just started by saying she's going to do this,
- 27:05Speaker 5: She's going to do that, She's going.
- 27:06Speaker 1: To do all these wonderful things.
- 27:08Speaker 5: Why hasn't she done it? She's been there for three
- 27:12Speaker 5: and a half years. They've had three and a half
- 27:14Speaker 5: years to fix the border, They've had three and a
- 27:17Speaker 5: half years to create jobs and all the things we
- 27:20Speaker 5: talked about.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Why hasn't she done it?
- 27:23Speaker 5: She should leave right now, go down to that beautiful
- 27:27Speaker 5: White House, go to the Capitol, get everyone together, and
- 27:30Speaker 5: do the things you want to do. But you haven't
- 27:31Speaker 5: done it, and you won't do it because you believe
- 27:34Speaker 5: in things that the American people don't believe in.
- 27:37Speaker 2: It's a great line, and I wish it would have
- 27:40Speaker 2: been used even more.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the closing, was Trump's best, best part
- 27:45Speaker 3: of the entire debate, and that that was exactly the
- 27:47Speaker 3: right message. It's a message that the Trump campaign should
- 27:51Speaker 3: amplify every day between now an election day. Listen, you
- 27:54Speaker 3: and I have talked about how kamalas trying to engage
- 27:57Speaker 3: in this divorced from reality campaign where she pretends she's
- 28:01Speaker 3: not in office, that she's not the incumbent, she disavows
- 28:05Speaker 3: all responsibility for the mess that is happening, and in fact,
- 28:09Speaker 3: she's behaving as if Donald Trump is the incumbent president
- 28:13Speaker 3: and she's the change candidate. She is in office right now.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Joe Biden is in office right now, and on every
- 28:21Speaker 3: single level on inflation, on crime, on illegal immigration, on
- 28:28Speaker 3: foreign policy, on safety and security. The world was much
- 28:32Speaker 3: much better when Trump was president than it is today,
- 28:36Speaker 3: and that needs to be emphasized every day between now
- 28:39Speaker 3: an election day.
- 28:40Speaker 2: The twenty twenty four election is upon us, and I
- 28:43Speaker 2: can tell you one thing. The war on masculinity in
- 28:45Speaker 2: America today is more blatant than ever, and I want
- 28:49Speaker 2: you to know that now is the time to choose
- 28:51Speaker 2: strength and vitality of her weakness and complacency. The problem
- 28:55Speaker 2: is men's SOPs from levels are off a cliff historically,
- 28:58Speaker 2: at an all time low. And isn't that exactly what
- 29:02Speaker 2: the liberal elites won a week in docile underclass, especially
- 29:06Speaker 2: of men. Well, thankfully, the patriots at Chalk spelled CHOQ

- 30:37Speaker 2: and really for me. When I was watching this tonight
- 30:40Speaker 2: and it's say, Okay, where do we go from here?
- 30:44Speaker 2: I'm in favor of another debate. I think you you
- 30:46Speaker 2: cover that earlier, right, you agree Trump should do another
- 30:50Speaker 2: one number one, Yes.
- 30:51Speaker 3: But I don't think she will. I think you don't
- 30:53Speaker 3: think she will.
- 30:53Speaker 1: So your prediction is she's done.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Yep.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Number two.
- 30:58Speaker 2: If you're Donald Trump, what do you learn for tonight
- 31:02Speaker 2: and what do you take into your big campaign rallies
- 31:04Speaker 2: from this? And what is your messaging to your surrogates
- 31:07Speaker 2: tomorrow on the surrogate.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Call, I think the message is she cannot defend her record,
- 31:13Speaker 3: and her record is a failure. The American people are
- 31:16Speaker 3: worse off. But listen, I think it's important to remember also,
- 31:20Speaker 3: this is not about Donald Trump, and it's not about
- 31:23Speaker 3: Kamala Harris. It is about the American people. It is
- 31:26Speaker 3: about It is about you young couples who are going
- 31:30Speaker 3: out and buying their first home and they're discovering that
- 31:33Speaker 3: a seven and a half percent mortgage rate is much
- 31:36Speaker 3: much worse than a two and a half percent mortgage
- 31:38Speaker 3: rate that you get about half the house. That's happening
- 31:41Speaker 3: right now today, people are hurting. It's about a single
- 31:44Speaker 3: mom who's trying to make ends meet and she can't
- 31:47Speaker 3: afford to buy groceries anymore because the prices have gone
- 31:50Speaker 3: so high, and when she tries to fill up her
- 31:52Speaker 3: tank to go to work, it just about breaks her.
- 31:55Speaker 3: It's about the people who are suffering. Look today, on
- 32:03Speaker 3: September tenth, there was a ceremony in the Capitol where
- 32:08Speaker 3: the Congressional Gold Medal was awarded to the thirteen servicemen
- 32:12Speaker 3: and women who were murdered in Afghanistan from the absolutely
- 32:17Speaker 3: disastrous and incompetent withdrawal from Abbigate. And I'll tell you
- 32:21Speaker 3: the families were there and it was a beautiful ceremony,
- 32:24Speaker 3: and the families I spoke to many of the families.
- 32:28Speaker 3: I thanked every one of them that I could to
- 32:31Speaker 3: say thank you for your service and sacrifice. I'm sorry.
- 32:35Speaker 3: But I also to many of them. Had a follow
- 32:38Speaker 3: up conversation where I said, there needs to be accountability.
- 32:42Speaker 3: There has been zero accountability. That the focus for the
- 32:48Speaker 3: campaign every day from now to election day needs to
- 32:53Speaker 3: be the difference between Trump's record and Kamala's record and
- 32:56Speaker 3: critically bringing it home to the voters now their lives
- 33:01Speaker 3: were much better when Trump was president than they have
- 33:04Speaker 3: been under Kamala, and that her policies are failures and
- 33:09Speaker 3: they're hurting the American people. That's got to be the
- 33:11Speaker 3: central message.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Yeah, as you mentioned a second ago, on this anniversary
- 33:17Speaker 2: of nine to eleven, I think it's important that we
- 33:20Speaker 2: also take a step back, remember how important it is
- 33:23Speaker 2: that you have competent leaders that understand how important it
- 33:26Speaker 2: is to protect and defend the homeland, to protect and
- 33:29Speaker 2: defend freedom. And also just a moment to say thank
- 33:33Speaker 2: you to all of those that serve this country, to
- 33:36Speaker 2: all of those that wear the uniform, to all those
- 33:39Speaker 2: that have given the ultimate sacrifices and their families. There
- 33:43Speaker 2: were so many people that died on nine to eleven,
- 33:45Speaker 2: but there was also the second part, and that was
- 33:48Speaker 2: so many that died because they wanted to protect and
- 33:52Speaker 2: defend us after nine to eleven, that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
- 33:56Speaker 2: And I said to everybody listening, say thank you to
- 33:59Speaker 2: a veteran. Text them. Everybody knows a veteran, tell them
- 34:03Speaker 2: thank you. I had the privilege of playing golf today
- 34:07Speaker 2: with some of those that actually took out some of
- 34:11Speaker 2: the worst terrorists in the world, some special operators.
- 34:15Speaker 1: And they were amazing.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Guys, and I say to them, thank you, because without
- 34:20Speaker 2: you giving up years of your life and risking your
- 34:23Speaker 2: life and losing your brothers in uniform. We wouldn't have
- 34:27Speaker 2: the freedoms we have today, and that's what we need
- 34:29Speaker 2: to remember.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I think during this election season as well.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Don't forget. We do this show Monday, Wednesday, Friday on Verdict.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I do my show Ben Ferguson Podcasts every single day.
- 34:39Speaker 2: So grab our podcast at that subscriber auto download button
- 34:42Speaker 2: wherever you listen to these podcasts.
- 34:44Speaker 1: It's always fun.
- 34:45Speaker 2: We get to do a joint podcast the Senator and
- 34:47Speaker 2: I will see you back here in a couple of days,
- 34:49Speaker 2: and I'll see you back here tomorrow on the Ben
- 34:51Speaker 2: Ferguson Podcasts as well. And again, God bless America and
- 34:55Speaker 2: thanks to all of our veterans that are listening to you.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Guys are the heroes.
