- 0:23Speaker 1: Steve has listening to the movie to other ste Please,
- 0:40Speaker 1: I don't join joining to be doing me. You gotta turn,
- 1:26Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out, turn you love,
- 1:45Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn the water the
- 1:49Speaker 1: water go. Come come on, uh huh, I shall well,
- 2:06Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:09Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey Man got
- 2:12Speaker 1: a radio show. Wow man, how good has God been
- 2:16Speaker 1: to me? You know? Today? Let me get right to
- 2:18Speaker 1: it because I'm I'm kind of feeling this today, and
- 2:21Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that's just quite a few of you
- 2:24Speaker 1: who go through the same things today. Today was just
- 2:29Speaker 1: a little tough morning for me because I didn't want
- 2:32Speaker 1: to leave home yesterday. You don't want to stay home
- 2:35Speaker 1: a little I just gotten home, you know, I gotta
- 2:38Speaker 1: go again. And sometimes, you know, just the weight of
- 2:42Speaker 1: all that you have to do just gets on you
- 2:44Speaker 1: sometimes and sometimes you don't feel like doing it today. Huh.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You know, I'm just talking to those who feel this
- 2:53Speaker 1: way every now and then, and I'm assuming that would
- 2:56Speaker 1: be everybody, because I don't know nobody who can just
- 2:59Speaker 1: ply through this thing without having those days. Well, what
- 3:02Speaker 1: do you do when it gets hard to stay up?
- 3:07Speaker 1: What do you do when it gets hard to be positive?
- 3:11Speaker 1: What do you do when it seems like things aren't
- 3:14Speaker 1: happening for you fast enough or in the time frame
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you thought it was going. What do you do?
- 3:21Speaker 1: And the reason that I guess I chose to speak
- 3:24Speaker 1: about this this morning is because I'm having one of
- 3:26Speaker 1: those days. Because I had one of those days yesterday.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It's just a tough day. I really can't explain. It's
- 3:32Speaker 1: nothing really in particular bad happened. It's just I think
- 3:39Speaker 1: the weight of all that's going on started to feel
- 3:45Speaker 1: heavy to me. And so what do you do when
- 3:51Speaker 1: when you have days like that, when it's hard to
- 3:52Speaker 1: be positive, when it's hard to stay up? Okay, here's
- 3:56Speaker 1: what I had to start doing this morning. Now. I
- 3:58Speaker 1: haven't completed it, can't I just be real with you.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I haven't completed it, but I am processing it out
- 4:06Speaker 1: because I know what to do. You know, been there
- 4:09Speaker 1: done that. I'dn't had that pain before I know what
- 4:12Speaker 1: to do. You know, if I sprain my finger, I
- 4:14Speaker 1: know what to do. Now. You know the first sprain
- 4:16Speaker 1: I had, O Lord, I thought it was broke. I
- 4:18Speaker 1: thought I got me handaclf. But now if I spray
- 4:21Speaker 1: my finger, I know what to do. So since I've
- 4:23Speaker 1: been in this position, in this hole so many times before,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and God has always gotten me through it, I decided
- 4:29Speaker 1: I've got to start the process today. Want to hear
- 4:33Speaker 1: are some things now I'm gonna get to the big
- 4:36Speaker 1: one last. And one of the things I do is
- 4:41Speaker 1: I remember the plan, sit down, and I consciously think
- 4:45Speaker 1: about the goals I've set. I go over see. I've
- 4:49Speaker 1: got mine down on an iPad so I can pull
- 4:52Speaker 1: them out anywhere I am and pull them up. And
- 4:55Speaker 1: I've got two lists that I've made. I've got a
- 4:57Speaker 1: list of things that I know I cannot acomplished if
- 5:01Speaker 1: I just keep working hard, and if it's some couple
- 5:04Speaker 1: of things just fall into place that I can see,
- 5:07Speaker 1: then I got a list of things that I'm planning
- 5:09Speaker 1: on accomplishing. And then I have a second list. And
- 5:13Speaker 1: the heading of this list is called only God can
- 5:17Speaker 1: help me now. And on this list it's things that
- 5:21Speaker 1: I'm aspiring for or things that I'm hoping to that
- 5:24Speaker 1: in order for them to happen, I absolutely have to
- 5:29Speaker 1: have God's help. That's my favorite list. It's the list
- 5:35Speaker 1: that I have of the things that I don't see
- 5:38Speaker 1: no way it can happen. I'm just operating on faith
- 5:43Speaker 1: and the hope that God hear me, and so sometimes, man,
- 5:48Speaker 1: when you gotta when I have this list of who
- 5:51Speaker 1: only God can help me, now that list is stuff
- 5:54Speaker 1: that I cannot see. I'm just operating on faith that
- 5:59Speaker 1: God is so much bigger than me, that he's so
- 6:02Speaker 1: much more capable than I am, that I can actually
- 6:05Speaker 1: acquire some things in my life, as he's proven to
- 6:08Speaker 1: me time and time again up to this point, that
- 6:10Speaker 1: He's willing to do for me. If I'm willing to
- 6:13Speaker 1: just give him some of my life. That's the only
- 6:16Speaker 1: why I can't explain my existence today. You know, I
- 6:20Speaker 1: began the conversation with my wife, how do I write
- 6:23Speaker 1: a book that becomes so wildly successful? That would be God.
- 6:28Speaker 1: That's only God. Because if you can plan to sit
- 6:31Speaker 1: down and write a wildly successful book, I'd have Benden
- 6:34Speaker 1: sat down and did it, and so would you so
- 6:38Speaker 1: that would be God. How it got purchased to become
- 6:41Speaker 1: a movie when that was not my intent when I
- 6:44Speaker 1: wrote the book at all. Again, that would be God. Right,
- 6:49Speaker 1: there has to be, because if I can't explain it
- 6:53Speaker 1: and it is by no doing of my own, then
- 6:55Speaker 1: who did it? So when I get down in days
- 6:58Speaker 1: like this, I remember the goal. I remember the plan.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I remember the journey. I think about of all the
- 7:05Speaker 1: things God has bought me to how did I even
- 7:07Speaker 1: get to this point? Yeah? I might be having a
- 7:09Speaker 1: little bummer of a day. Yeah I was a little
- 7:11Speaker 1: down yesterday. Yeah, my bio rhythms is off, whatever they
- 7:15Speaker 1: want to call it. Yeah, I'm just having one of
- 7:17Speaker 1: those days. I feel a little bit heavy. I need
- 7:19Speaker 1: a vacation real bad. I need some time off to
- 7:22Speaker 1: just go and regenerate. But right now, man, I ain't
- 7:26Speaker 1: got that. So guess what I do. I gotta start
- 7:28Speaker 1: remembering the plan. I gotta start remembering the goals. I
- 7:31Speaker 1: gotta start thinking about all the things that God has
- 7:34Speaker 1: done for me and how He has bought me this
- 7:36Speaker 1: far and the blessings that I have instead of what
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't have. And that's what I'm in the process
- 7:41Speaker 1: of doing this morning, and on the commercial breaks, I'm
- 7:44Speaker 1: gonna pull out my iPad and I'm gonna go over
- 7:46Speaker 1: my two lists, and I'm gonna read my little list
- 7:49Speaker 1: of what I think I can accomplish, and I'm gonna
- 7:51Speaker 1: really read that only God can help Me now list,
- 7:54Speaker 1: because that's the list that's big. That's the part where
- 7:56Speaker 1: I've been telling y'all. I said, quit telling God how
- 8:00Speaker 1: big your problems are, and start telling your problems how
- 8:03Speaker 1: big your God is. See. And that's why I got
- 8:06Speaker 1: to sit down and do this morning. And then sometimes, man,
- 8:09Speaker 1: you got to stay still. That's the other part. You
- 8:13Speaker 1: got to stay still. You gotta quit moving for a second,
- 8:18Speaker 1: because sometimes it feel like you're running on a treadmill
- 8:22Speaker 1: and you really ain't you going somewhere, but it feel
- 8:24Speaker 1: like you're running on a treadmill. Well, when you get
- 8:27Speaker 1: that feeling, sometimes you gotta stay still. And then when
- 8:31Speaker 1: you stay still, sometimes you gotta fight to stay positive.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta fight not to let the devil win.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You're in a fight, mam. I told you this. Now
- 8:39Speaker 1: you're in a fight now, So trying to get you
- 8:41Speaker 1: to get on that positive train so he can get
- 8:44Speaker 1: you off the faith train. So God's delivery package that's
- 8:47Speaker 1: coming to you built on your faith that you can.
- 8:49Speaker 1: He can shake your faith and get you to thinking
- 8:51Speaker 1: negative and then he wins. See. So when you start
- 8:54Speaker 1: feeling negative, just know that that's the other force trying
- 8:57Speaker 1: to throw you off track. And when you get through
- 8:59Speaker 1: it all that he is the key to big one.
- 9:01Speaker 1: You want me tell it to you. You gots to pray. Man,
- 9:04Speaker 1: You got to pray. You gotta take it to God.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You gotta say, Hey, God, look I'm having one of
- 9:09Speaker 1: these days. I need your help. I got business to
- 9:12Speaker 1: take care of. You got blessings in front of me.
- 9:14Speaker 1: You got stuff you to ship to me. You got
- 9:16Speaker 1: blessings and packages that's on the way. I need to
- 9:18Speaker 1: be sitting on Faith streets so I can receive the
- 9:21Speaker 1: delivery when you get there. What I don't want to
- 9:23Speaker 1: do is be it on be on doubted Way or
- 9:27Speaker 1: lack of Understanding Parkway, or Pity Parkway or some street
- 9:33Speaker 1: like that, and the package keep going by. I need
- 9:36Speaker 1: to be standing and sitting on Faith Street so when
- 9:38Speaker 1: you drop that package down to me, I can go
- 9:41Speaker 1: on and get it. You feel me, You got to pray,
- 9:44Speaker 1: You got to stay still. You gotta fight to stay positive.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You gotta remember the plan. You gotta go over the goals.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Come on, man, God and brought you too far, Come on,
- 9:53Speaker 1: pick yourself up today. I'm talking to Steve Harvey this morning.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Hope y'all didn't mind stay show. Ladies and gentlemen, boys
- 10:18Speaker 1: and girls. Let me have your attention. I am talking
- 10:22Speaker 1: to everyone today who has ever had the aspiration of
- 10:30Speaker 1: becoming a millionaire. All if you've ever had the aspiration
- 10:37Speaker 1: of holding a full time job, these are the two
- 10:41Speaker 1: groups that I'm talking to. Anyone who has had the
- 10:44Speaker 1: aspiration of holding a full time job and anybody who
- 10:48Speaker 1: has had the aspiration of becoming a millionaire. This show
- 10:54Speaker 1: is dedicated to the two coldish groups on planet Earth.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Your dig Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. What
- 11:02Speaker 1: group you in, Sherton Strawberg, I'm in both, Steve, Thank
- 11:07Speaker 1: you very much, Colin forrel good morning. I did. Oh
- 11:11Speaker 1: let's get it, Junior, I got five jobs. Tell me
- 11:15Speaker 1: I ain't trying, nephew, tim me. Every day I'm hustling.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I'm trying to be in there, guts up well for you,
- 11:30Speaker 1: Oh you ain't. I ain't in this suject. Yeah, I got,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I got somewhere else I'm head. Ain't nobody asked me that,
- 11:38Speaker 1: So we just throwing it out, y'all. That's my two
- 11:41Speaker 1: favorite groups of people. Anybody that wants to work and
- 11:44Speaker 1: anybody want to be rich. I love both of them
- 11:48Speaker 1: people because you ain't got to be rich to be
- 11:50Speaker 1: my friend. Because I gotta tell you something. None of
- 11:54Speaker 1: my friends are rich. Do you know that? Really? Man?
- 11:59Speaker 1: None of them. Well, I got one friends really, I
- 12:02Speaker 1: mean my friend friends, I mean my real friends. Oh,
- 12:09Speaker 1: real friends. Ninety nine point nine percent of them are
- 12:14Speaker 1: not rich people. M But but what about running in
- 12:20Speaker 1: those circles, you know them like minded people and birds
- 12:26Speaker 1: of a feather flock together and all that. Yeah, that's all.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They just bussiness acquaintances and sociates. We make some money together,
- 12:32Speaker 1: we do some deals together, we go to dinner together.
- 12:36Speaker 1: You know, we pull for each other. But I don't.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We haven't been through enough to call them friends, you
- 12:43Speaker 1: know what I mean? Really? Yeah? Well, you know what,
- 12:45Speaker 1: remember back in the day when Oprah and Gail that
- 12:49Speaker 1: their friendship was, you know, so popular and everything. It
- 12:51Speaker 1: still is now. But back in the day, Gail was
- 12:54Speaker 1: Oprah's friends. So Oprah gave her a million dollars so
- 12:57Speaker 1: she could be a millionaire. Two remember that, I don't
- 12:59Speaker 1: feel that. I'm not like that. No, well, junior, junior,
- 13:08Speaker 1: me and you were co workers, and I'm more like
- 13:10Speaker 1: a mentor. You are. You can't buy money from me
- 13:13Speaker 1: and call me Steve. We ain't here, no never will
- 13:21Speaker 1: be okay, But what have we learned? Right here? We
- 13:29Speaker 1: ain't rich and here he's not opening. We're not gay.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Excuse me, Thomas Miles is rich. I'm nephew Tommy. I'm
- 13:39Speaker 1: nephew Tommy. Wow, I'm don't I don't never know what
- 13:45Speaker 1: he is? All right? Uh? Steve coming up at thirty
- 13:49Speaker 1: two after the hour, you mentioned the nephew. Well, he's been,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, wanting to ask you something. So we're gonna
- 13:55Speaker 1: get to ask Steve right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 14:17Speaker 1: So Steve, you know, earlier this week we were talking
- 14:20Speaker 1: talking about parenting and our kids and everything, and we
- 14:22Speaker 1: didn't get around to the nephew. He's been wanting to
- 14:24Speaker 1: ask you this question about parenting all week. Nephew, you
- 14:29Speaker 1: have the floor, all right, So uncle, my little girl, Sitney.
- 14:33Speaker 1: She turned fifteen, we throw a big, you know, big dinner,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and she got a lot of kids there. I mean
- 14:40Speaker 1: a lot of teenagers from Jack and Jill. And you
- 14:43Speaker 1: know it's fine. We got about twenty thirty kids at
- 14:46Speaker 1: the table and then at our table. It's more than adults.
- 14:50Speaker 1: But I'm starting to see these little boys hugging my
- 14:53Speaker 1: daughter and taking pictures with it. I ain't never seen
- 14:55Speaker 1: this before. You're gonna have to hit one of them
- 14:57Speaker 1: in the face. I don't holdly listen to me. You're
- 15:01Speaker 1: gonna no, just ain't got nothing to do do with y'all ladies. Stadtar,
- 15:04Speaker 1: You got to hit one of them little punk as
- 15:06Speaker 1: boys in their face in front of the other boys.
- 15:09Speaker 1: But don't let nobody see it but the boys. All right?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Now go ahead, now let's do the radio answer. Go ahead?
- 15:18Speaker 1: What how do I handle this as a father? And
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't want to be too hard on it, but
- 15:25Speaker 1: I don't want to be too soft on it at
- 15:27Speaker 1: the same time, Hey, man, respect my house. I know
- 15:31Speaker 1: my daughter's beautiful. I know you probably attracted tool, but
- 15:35Speaker 1: this my house. I won't you to be respectful my
- 15:38Speaker 1: house now. In essence, while they're living in your house,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you have some say so, so you can pull the
- 15:46Speaker 1: boy to the side and say, you know what, man,
- 15:48Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. I'll tell you what
- 15:51Speaker 1: this hogs can. I'll tell you like I did one
- 15:54Speaker 1: of mine. I said, this is what happened. I know
- 16:03Speaker 1: you right now, So this this ain't that methic. I'm
- 16:13Speaker 1: really trying to I'm really trying to be this new
- 16:17Speaker 1: person God made me on this boat this year. But
- 16:20Speaker 1: the old me keeps creeping back around the dog he
- 16:24Speaker 1: talked all the time. I will see somewhere and shut
- 16:27Speaker 1: the hell up, you know, Tommy, Man, it's hard because
- 16:37Speaker 1: in your house you can set rules and parameters, right,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and so just pull the young dude over to the
- 16:43Speaker 1: side and just say, listen, man, I got rules in
- 16:46Speaker 1: my house, and you have to be respectful of my house.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Don't don't don't come in my house handling my daughter.
- 16:54Speaker 1: That's you can say that because it's your house and
- 16:58Speaker 1: a man, don't don't be over the hug. You know,
- 16:59Speaker 1: nobody when house. And that's a good message to have
- 17:02Speaker 1: out because after that dog, it's out your hands. Know
- 17:06Speaker 1: what they do outside the house, it's not because you're
- 17:09Speaker 1: not letting them do it. In the house. That's what
- 17:11Speaker 1: people have a misconception of. They think that in parenting,
- 17:14Speaker 1: if you don't allow them to do it in the house,
- 17:16Speaker 1: when they get out the house, if you don't let
- 17:19Speaker 1: them do it in the house, when they get out
- 17:20Speaker 1: the house, they're gonna do it. No, they're gonna do
- 17:22Speaker 1: it any damn right. You know, you got people talking
- 17:25Speaker 1: about I let my kids drink and smoke weed in
- 17:27Speaker 1: the house. That way, they ain't out in the streets
- 17:28Speaker 1: drinking and smoking. Yes they are. If they're drinking and
- 17:32Speaker 1: smoking weed in your house, they're drinking and smoking weed
- 17:35Speaker 1: out in the street. You've been a fool to allow
- 17:37Speaker 1: it to happen in your house. You gotta have some
- 17:40Speaker 1: type of rules, man, to give them pause for thought
- 17:44Speaker 1: when they go out the house. Just Paul's for thought.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You're not gonna stop. So and your daughter is beautiful,
- 17:52Speaker 1: and she's smart, and she's very smart. She's very smart,
- 17:57Speaker 1: so you have to trust her. And I agree with Steve,
- 18:00Speaker 1: you have to, you know, I think, yes, I want
- 18:05Speaker 1: to believe that I do. Yeah. So glad she got
- 18:09Speaker 1: a lemonade sense. Shut up, boy, she got a mama.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And we hope they all make smart I know, yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 1: we all have. What else anybody else got to ask
- 18:31Speaker 1: Steve question? Uh, let's see. Okay, so you you said,
- 18:36Speaker 1: I want to get back to you said you don't
- 18:38Speaker 1: have any I just found it that you said earlier
- 18:41Speaker 1: you don't have any friends that are millionaires. Why is that, Steve,
- 18:45Speaker 1: Because it seems like to me, because you're one, you
- 18:47Speaker 1: would hang around people that are like you. Well, you
- 18:50Speaker 1: hang around people, but that doesn't mean you form friendships.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You know what I mean friendship? To me, it's delicate,
- 18:58Speaker 1: it's it's it's a process to become my friend. You know. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I got to have been down in the ditch and
- 19:07Speaker 1: you climb down in there with me. Na, now we're
- 19:11Speaker 1: friend see or you know? Man or I think that
- 19:15Speaker 1: if I get in the situation I feel in my
- 19:18Speaker 1: heart of hearts, I could call you without you judging me.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You would just help me. Then we'll talk about how
- 19:24Speaker 1: to prevent mistake from happening again. Now I should say
- 19:28Speaker 1: this though, I have a couple of brothers. I have
- 19:33Speaker 1: a couple of brothers that I'm really really close to
- 19:36Speaker 1: that I have been in the trenches with and they
- 19:39Speaker 1: do have, you know, way more money than I got
- 19:43Speaker 1: you don't know them. They not famous, They business people.
- 19:48Speaker 1: They live out the country, so I would have to
- 19:51Speaker 1: put them to in the group. Now said the entertainer
- 19:56Speaker 1: is my friend. He is my friend. That dude right there,
- 20:01Speaker 1: he go to blows from me. You know. Now, I
- 20:05Speaker 1: have great relationships with some famous people. I think me
- 20:08Speaker 1: and Kevin Hard have a special relationship. Oh yeah, it's
- 20:12Speaker 1: a it's it's it's like a mentoring type. Even with
- 20:16Speaker 1: his star power being much bigger than mine and his
- 20:22Speaker 1: earning potential much bigger than mine, I still are and
- 20:28Speaker 1: I'm held up in his eyes as a mentor to him.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And I really appreciate his humbleness and saying that to
- 20:36Speaker 1: me and and talking to me when things, you know,
- 20:40Speaker 1: come up that are questionable and you know, I'm gonna
- 20:43Speaker 1: give him a real answer. Yeah. And speaking of Kevin,
- 20:46Speaker 1: prayer is still going out for him. Um. Yeah, he's
- 20:49Speaker 1: out of the hospital and everything and just didn't rehab therapy, Yeah, therapy,
- 20:53Speaker 1: Kevin fine, physical kids, Yes, yep, he is all right.
- 21:01Speaker 1: One of the things that help was he was in
- 21:03Speaker 1: great shape. That is physical because but let me tell
- 21:08Speaker 1: you something, he's also covered by a lot of grace
- 21:11Speaker 1: because you look at that car. For them three people

- 25:15Speaker 1: this other cat. So I'm like, I got pissed off
- 25:18Speaker 1: about it. So I said, you know what, I can't
- 25:20Speaker 1: take you no more. I'm calling Terence. You're saying to
- 25:24Speaker 1: me that my wife has been cheating around a job
- 25:27Speaker 1: with somebody else. She cheating on both of us. Dude,
- 25:31Speaker 1: I don't get what you mean if my wife has
- 25:34Speaker 1: cheated on what I mean you're calling me to tell
- 25:36Speaker 1: me that she's cheating on me. I appreciate that, but
- 25:38Speaker 1: I don't get what you're saying. You know, both of
- 25:41Speaker 1: us said, I don't get that. Fun. I don't understand
- 25:43Speaker 1: what you mean. Me and Veronica been you know, kind
- 25:47Speaker 1: of cool. You know, last eight months to a year,
- 25:50Speaker 1: we've been, you know, pretty tight here at the job.

- 26:10Speaker 1: But you know now, you know, I'm noticing. You know,
- 26:13Speaker 1: she she didn't want out, you know, she didn't want
- 26:15Speaker 1: to lunch a couple of time with his brother named Alan,
- 26:16Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, no, no, it ain't gonna go
- 26:18Speaker 1: down like this here. You know what I'm saying, Are
- 26:20Speaker 1: you my wife? Man? Hey, that's that's not why I
- 26:24Speaker 1: called you. I called you my wife. That's what I
- 26:27Speaker 1: want to know. I'm telling you about this dude named Alan.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I need you to step up as the husband and
- 26:32Speaker 1: fix this. But you're telling me that my wife is
- 26:36Speaker 1: cheating on both of us, didn't you know, cheating on
- 26:38Speaker 1: the both of us. If she's she's cheating on me,
- 26:41Speaker 1: you're telling me that you with my wife too, that
- 26:44Speaker 1: you've been messing around with my wife. That's not that's
- 26:49Speaker 1: not the part I'm trying to talk about. I'm trying
- 26:51Speaker 1: to talk about this dude named Alan. Man, That's what
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm trying to get out. We're gonna get to Alan.
- 26:57Speaker 1: You saying that my wife, Man, it's some crazy yo.
- 27:02Speaker 1: You know what, Man, I'm about to put my foot
- 27:03Speaker 1: right up your because play those games with her. She
- 27:08Speaker 1: with me, We messing around, we're doing listen doing that.
- 27:11Speaker 1: It don't work like that. Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Do I hear what you're saying? But your beef ain't
- 27:16Speaker 1: with me. The beef is with Alan. No, she messing over.
- 27:21Speaker 1: She messing over both of us with Alan. Doalk? I'm
- 27:24Speaker 1: about to call her because there's some right here. I'm
- 27:28Speaker 1: telling Okay, hold on, bro, I just want you to
- 27:30Speaker 1: deal with Alan. About to stop right now. I'm at
- 27:33Speaker 1: I'm at the job. Yeah, but I'm about to come
- 27:36Speaker 1: up my foot in your doing to stand me. No,
- 27:40Speaker 1: I hear you, man, Alan is the one that then
- 27:43Speaker 1: blew this thing out of proportion. Dog. She messing over
- 27:46Speaker 1: me and you with this here. There ain't no me
- 27:48Speaker 1: and you. I don't shire. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah?
- 27:53Speaker 1: I hear you. You don't hear me. I don't ship.
- 27:59Speaker 1: There's no shitting that goes on over here. Okay, I do,
- 28:04Speaker 1: I do. I'm just saying, you know, what are you saying?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Leave me right here? Leaves me right now. I'm about
- 28:12Speaker 1: to come up in where you at? Right now? Where
- 28:14Speaker 1: are you at? I'm at the job where what Ronnie
- 28:17Speaker 1: had I caller Ronnie. I'm at the job where Ronnie at?
- 28:20Speaker 1: I caller Ronnie. I called the ronnicka Ronnie. I mean
- 28:23Speaker 1: that's my little nickname too. It all right? But well,
- 28:26Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, Ronnie, Ronnie Ronnie. You see right here,
- 28:31Speaker 1: she's right where see right here? Right here? You want
- 28:35Speaker 1: to hut? Okay, cool man here cool? But can I
- 28:40Speaker 1: tell you what she's saying? I don't want to hear
- 28:42Speaker 1: what she said. I'm run the phone right now, okay,
- 28:45Speaker 1: But can I tell you what she's telling me to
- 28:47Speaker 1: tell you? She ain't telling you to tell me a
- 28:50Speaker 1: damn thing, because the only thing that you is my foot. Okay, okay,
- 28:56Speaker 1: but but but but Ronnie wants me to tell you
- 28:58Speaker 1: this man. Just listen to me, Terrence. She wants me
- 29:01Speaker 1: to tell you that this is nephew Tommy from the
- 29:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your wife, Veronica.
- 29:13Speaker 1: You know what, I don't play ball, y'all up, ball,
- 29:20Speaker 1: y'all up. I'm gonna give your old school woman you
- 29:27Speaker 1: are man. No, I'm not all right. I'm in the car.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I was on my way over there, about to go
- 29:33Speaker 1: to jail, messing around with y'all. Hey, let me ask
- 29:38Speaker 1: you this, man, what is the baddest and I mean
- 29:41Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land. You already know
- 29:48Speaker 1: show nothing but yeah, coming up at the top of
- 29:57Speaker 1: the hour, Thank you, nephew. Coming up at the top
- 29:59Speaker 1: of the our entertainment and national news right after this,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you're listening to the show, all right. Everybody can make
- 30:23Speaker 1: this note to themselves. Doing business with a criminal suspect
- 30:27Speaker 1: isn't always the best way to go. Okay, just make
- 30:30Speaker 1: that note for yourself. So okay, Valencia Love put up.
- 30:34Speaker 1: We're wondering who put up the money to bail R.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Kelly out of jail. Well, her name is Valencia Love.
- 30:39Speaker 1: She put up the one hundred thousand dollars needed to
- 30:42Speaker 1: get R. Kelly out on bond back in February when
- 30:45Speaker 1: he was arrested on ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
- 30:49Speaker 1: She also paid his fifty thousand dollars in back child
- 30:52Speaker 1: support when he was jailed in March for missing payments.
- 30:56Speaker 1: To a question, before you go any further, this is
- 31:00Speaker 1: not a joke. I'm asking a question. Is it true
- 31:05Speaker 1: that she owns a daycare? I heard she owned the restaurant?
- 31:09Speaker 1: Rest restaurant care? Yeah, I didn't hear she owned a daycare. Now,
- 31:13Speaker 1: that was the thing that was a serious question. Yeah. Yes,
- 31:17Speaker 1: the answer had been yes. I was going to ask
- 31:20Speaker 1: for restaurant, Okay, cool. I was just asking because then
- 31:28Speaker 1: if it was true, then returned from a question to
- 31:32Speaker 1: I would have several states story. It's just it's restaurant.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I just wanted to know. I know, seriously, somebody told
- 31:44Speaker 1: me that in the very serious tone, and so I
- 31:47Speaker 1: was just asking, was that a daycare? I didn't hear that.
- 31:58Speaker 1: The food in the end of the daycare? Tommy, where
- 32:00Speaker 1: did you hit them all? A right? Here? It is
- 32:02Speaker 1: here it is. Once it was revealed, a woman helped
- 32:05Speaker 1: free r Kelly, Twitter began to track her down and
- 32:08Speaker 1: found out she was a forty seven year old and
- 32:11Speaker 1: owner of a couple of businesses in Chicago area, one
- 32:14Speaker 1: day care center, the other a restaurant, So she owned
- 32:18Speaker 1: both of them, actually both and that's okay. So well, now,
- 32:23Speaker 1: after after finding that out and thinking it through a
- 32:27Speaker 1: little bit more, album reserved my comments. In a four
- 32:36Speaker 1: page motion, Steve Valencia Love claims that she knew R.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Kelly personally and that he promised to pay her money
- 32:43Speaker 1: back at the time, she said she didn't know about
- 32:46Speaker 1: other investigations. Unfortunately, Illinois Judge Lawrence Flood said no to
- 32:51Speaker 1: Valencia Love's request because she has no legal basis to
- 32:54Speaker 1: get her money back. Meanwhile, R. Kelly is in jail again,
- 32:58Speaker 1: this time for federal crime. Wait a minute, hold up, whoa,
- 33:02Speaker 1: he's in jail again? And pop, yeah, I didn't know that.
- 33:07Speaker 1: How longly been in jail? Some months? A couple. You
- 33:10Speaker 1: was on the boat when they picked him up. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: you were out of You was on the boat when
- 33:26Speaker 1: they picked him up. Y'all. We have to say congratulations.
- 33:33Speaker 1: This is a big story from my home station NIX
- 33:36Speaker 1: ninety two point three in Detroit. We have to say
- 33:39Speaker 1: congratulations to the Detroit Youth Choir. They were a finalist
- 33:45Speaker 1: last night on America's Got Talent Detroit. We are so
- 33:54Speaker 1: proud of you. They didn't win. Cody Lee, the Blind
- 33:57Speaker 1: Artistic sing guys, he won the million dollars. But Detroit
- 34:04Speaker 1: Youth Choir, they were right there and they represent Yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 1: all right, switching gears now, ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp. Okay,
- 34:13Speaker 1: thank you very much, and good morning, and yes, yes, yes,
- 34:15Speaker 1: congratulations Detroit. This is a trip with the news. Secretary
- 34:19Speaker 1: State Mike Pompeio was accusing Iran of making what he
- 34:22Speaker 1: describes as an act of war by attacking Saudi Arabia's
- 34:26Speaker 1: oil infrastructure a few days ago. Rebels and Yemen have
- 34:29Speaker 1: clean responsibility for it, though, but POMPEII was dismissing that
- 34:32Speaker 1: one because he says the Whosies just don't have that
- 34:35Speaker 1: kind of capability. The equipment used is unknown to be
- 34:40Speaker 1: in the the arsenal. Meanwhile, President Trump is appointed Robert
- 34:43Speaker 1: O'Brien to be his next National Security Advisor, and this
- 34:46Speaker 1: will be the fourth man appointed to the position by Trump,
- 34:49Speaker 1: and only three years before him, there were Generals Michael Flynn,
- 34:53Speaker 1: HR mcmasses and John boltonmost recently, whom he said he fired,
- 34:57Speaker 1: but John Bolton said no, I quit Robert O'Brien and
- 35:00Speaker 1: has been serving as America's point man, by the way,
- 35:02Speaker 1: on hostage affairs. Also, President Trump was in California yesterday
- 35:06Speaker 1: where he announced that he is revoking that state's long
- 35:09Speaker 1: standing authority to regulate its own emission standards for cars
- 35:13Speaker 1: and trucks. California was granted the authority to do that
- 35:16Speaker 1: to regulate its own emissions because the unhealthy air that
- 35:19Speaker 1: was actually kind of famous or infamous to be found
- 35:21Speaker 1: in Los Angeles and some other cities, or the smog
- 35:24Speaker 1: and stuff, and that's why they got the right in
- 35:26Speaker 1: the first place. But the Trump administration insists that relax
- 35:29Speaker 1: standards will result in less expensive and safer cars. But
- 35:33Speaker 1: California Governor Gavin Newsom says the White House is really
- 35:35Speaker 1: trying to only please one constituency, the oil industry. They
- 35:39Speaker 1: don't care. He doesn't care about the economy, he says,
- 35:41Speaker 1: or consumers or health or anything like that. As a
- 35:43Speaker 1: result of an investigation conducted by New Jersey's Attorney General
- 35:47Speaker 1: and the Division of Civil Rights, a white wrestling coach
- 35:50Speaker 1: named Alan Maloney, who had an assistant cut in African
- 35:53Speaker 1: American Kid's dreads off before he would let the man compete,
- 35:56Speaker 1: young man compete well. Alan Maloney has now been suspended
- 35:59Speaker 1: himself from refereeing any matches for the next two years.
- 36:02Speaker 1: By the way, a black wrestling coach says the same
- 36:05Speaker 1: guy Maloney poked him in the chest three years ago
- 36:08Speaker 1: and called him the N word when they had a disagreement.
- 36:10Speaker 1: The black coach, Preston Hamilton, responded by slamming Maloney to
- 36:15Speaker 1: the floor. Troops are being deployed in Bermuda this morning
- 36:19Speaker 1: to help with the reparation the preparations needed in advance
- 36:22Speaker 1: of the arrival of Hurricane Berto. The Category A three
- 36:26Speaker 1: storm is expected just north of Bermuda this morning. It
- 36:30Speaker 1: may be kind of the day right now, any shift
- 36:32Speaker 1: that could put it right on top of the island.
- 36:34Speaker 1: So we have to see how the winds are going,
- 36:36Speaker 1: because it can go from really bad to worse. Schools
- 36:38Speaker 1: are closed into Bermuda, so of the government offices, and
- 36:41Speaker 1: there's no ferry or bus service and a lot of
- 36:43Speaker 1: folks try to get out Yesterday and the day before.
- 36:46Speaker 1: GM factories remain idle for a fourth day to day,
- 36:49Speaker 1: with some forty nine thousand UAW workers still walking picking
- 36:53Speaker 1: lines at union wants a bigger share of the carmaker's
- 36:56Speaker 1: profits and better working conditions. GM is said to want
- 36:59Speaker 1: to bring labor costs down so that they're closer to
- 37:01Speaker 1: auto plants running foreign country cut countries. Finally, today's National
- 37:05Speaker 1: Cheeseburger Day. It's what's for dinner if you like burgers.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:13Speaker 1: to show, all right, So people are saying with all
- 37:32Speaker 1: of these NFL quarterback injuries, the Jets, the Saints, the Steelers,
- 37:36Speaker 1: and now possibly Cam Newton may not start on Sunday
- 37:40Speaker 1: due to a foot or an ankle injury. Foot in
- 37:44Speaker 1: an ankle injury. Colin Kaepernick's agent said Colin is literally
- 37:48Speaker 1: in the best shape of his life. He's been working
- 37:52Speaker 1: out five days a week, yeah, at five am, for
- 37:54Speaker 1: three years. He wants to play. His agent also has
- 37:59Speaker 1: been kind tacting teams in need of a quarterback. So
- 38:02Speaker 1: what do you think, Steve? I think it would be
- 38:04Speaker 1: great for the league. The problem that I'm having right now, though,
- 38:10Speaker 1: is this settlement that he signed with the NFL. I'm
- 38:16Speaker 1: concerned that it has some stipulations in it. See listen. Okay, okay,
- 38:25Speaker 1: First of all, you all do understand this that the
- 38:27Speaker 1: NFL it's group of owners. The group of owners hires
- 38:34Speaker 1: Roger Goodell. You do understand this. They hired the commissioner
- 38:40Speaker 1: because the commissioner is to represent the shield of the NFL. Now,
- 38:46Speaker 1: he's a pretty well liked owner amongst a lot of
- 38:50Speaker 1: players and amongst the owners. He's very popular guy amongst them.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Crowds boo him, but the players can said to him
- 39:00Speaker 1: to be a fair judge of character. I don't know
- 39:04Speaker 1: what the deal was that Colins signed the settlement money
- 39:08Speaker 1: that they had to pay him for keeping him out
- 39:10Speaker 1: of the league. So I don't know if his agent
- 39:13Speaker 1: is being fourth right with that, because you would think
- 39:17Speaker 1: his phone would ring at this particular time. Yeah, they
- 39:21Speaker 1: really need him. Would you have signed that knowing you
- 39:26Speaker 1: can't play? Would you packing that money? Okay? Yeah, it
- 39:29Speaker 1: must have been a lot of them because you might
- 39:31Speaker 1: not play. Hello and seeing true, it's hard to get
- 39:37Speaker 1: guaranteed money in the NFL. Most players don't get guaranteed. Now,
- 39:41Speaker 1: if you get hurt and you don't make the team,
- 39:42Speaker 1: you out of money. I don't give it. If you don't.
- 39:45Speaker 1: If you signed a four year contract without guarantees and
- 39:48Speaker 1: you get cut the second year, they don't pay you.
- 39:52Speaker 1: But it's not like that in baseball and basketball. Huh
- 39:55Speaker 1: oh No, not basketball. Baseball the major and football is
- 40:01Speaker 1: number one spectator sport for television and everything. But the
- 40:04Speaker 1: problem is they have a sixteen game season. It's eighty
- 40:09Speaker 1: six games in the NBA, A hundred and sixty eight
- 40:12Speaker 1: eighty something games in baseball. I don't know that, you
- 40:18Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, eighty six to one hundred and
- 40:21Speaker 1: sixty two sixteen at the money's not there, okay, but
- 40:30Speaker 1: my owners though they clock it. Yeah, they're getting money
- 40:33Speaker 1: at TV, contract and endorsements. I think Colin should play.

- 41:38Speaker 1: visiting countries in Africa is always an emotional experience for me.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Feels like I'm making a peace. I'm making peace with
- 41:44Speaker 1: a part of me that's yearning for my ancestral connection.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Your thoughts on that, Steve, Wow, I think she's absolutely right.
- 41:51Speaker 1: That is probably the perfect way to describe it. And
- 41:55Speaker 1: that's why I think it's imperative. It's if I know
- 42:00Speaker 1: people are gonna go. Man, it's a long way them tickets.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Listen to me, Every African American should go back to
- 42:13Speaker 1: their home land. It is beyond emotional. It is beyond emotional.
- 42:19Speaker 1: You it's it's a magnetic pool. It's where we're all from. See,
- 42:24Speaker 1: America's our home. I was born here, I was raised here,
- 42:29Speaker 1: my family is here, my friends are here. Things I
- 42:34Speaker 1: love I was cutting made in Cleveland. America's my home,
- 42:38Speaker 1: make no mistake about that. But Africa is my home land.

- 43:08Speaker 1: way to describe how I was feeling, because I just
- 43:11Speaker 1: didn't I couldn't put a grip on it. And I
- 43:15Speaker 1: discovered this, America is my home. Yeah, Africa is my
- 43:21Speaker 1: home land, America has my heart, Africa has my soul. Wow,
- 43:32Speaker 1: that is the best way. And I had to write
- 43:35Speaker 1: it down because I was just just happening. Let me
- 43:38Speaker 1: tell you to day the seventeenth, on my morning meditation
- 43:43Speaker 1: on Tuesday morning the seventeenth, at six thirty am, I
- 43:47Speaker 1: wrote this in my journal because I was just wrestling
- 43:50Speaker 1: with how I felt about Africa and America. And America
- 43:54Speaker 1: is my home. I was born here. Come on, man,
- 43:57Speaker 1: there was opportunities here that I was able to take
- 44:00Speaker 1: advantage of. Has been a lot of strife that hit me,
- 44:03Speaker 1: but I dealt with it. My family is here, my
- 44:06Speaker 1: brothers and sisters is here. My mom and daddy buried here,
- 44:10Speaker 1: my family, hill, my friends is here. That America my home,
- 44:14Speaker 1: but Africa is my home land, it's a piece of me.
- 44:20Speaker 1: When I was in that slave dungeon and I felt
- 44:23Speaker 1: and couldn't get up, and I told y'all what happened
- 44:27Speaker 1: to me. One of my ancestors was in that room
- 44:32Speaker 1: and he was on me. And when I put my
- 44:34Speaker 1: hand on the wall, I felt pressure on me. And
- 44:38Speaker 1: what made me know it was real, my oldest son,
- 44:41Speaker 1: Broderick Junior, was with me. He was facing that same wall,
- 44:46Speaker 1: heaving uncontrollably. He couldn't even turn around. That's when I
- 44:50Speaker 1: knew that I had made this boy, and somebody that
- 44:54Speaker 1: was in that male dungeon had made one of us.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Because there's no there's no there's nothing beyond my father
- 45:02Speaker 1: in my ancestry dot com. Everybody trying and nothing passed
- 45:06Speaker 1: or my father. Now, America has my heart because of
- 45:10Speaker 1: my mom and Daddy and my brothers and my sisters
- 45:14Speaker 1: and my friends and my career and family, nephew, keep
- 45:20Speaker 1: but Africa has my soul. Africa will make you feel
- 45:26Speaker 1: something in your soul that you've never failed here. I
- 45:30Speaker 1: promise you that that's why every African American shouldn't make
- 45:35Speaker 1: it a vow to make a what's what's the word

- 56:17Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew, subject Should I Love him?
- 56:21Speaker 1: Or leave him. Dear Stephen Shirley, I met an older
- 56:24Speaker 1: guy and I was attracted to him, but played hard
- 56:27Speaker 1: to get. He begged me for a first date and
- 56:30Speaker 1: I eventually agreed to go out with him. He asked
- 56:33Speaker 1: me to pick him up, and I didn't think much
- 56:35Speaker 1: about it since his house was on the way to
- 56:37Speaker 1: the restaurant. When I got to the house, he came out,
- 56:40Speaker 1: and so did a much older lady. He got in
- 56:44Speaker 1: my car and told me that was his mother. That
- 56:47Speaker 1: was his mom, and that he lived with her. At
- 56:49Speaker 1: this point, I had an opportunity to tell him that
- 56:51Speaker 1: I was not interested, but I went out to dinner
- 56:54Speaker 1: with him anyway. At dinner, he told me that he's
- 56:57Speaker 1: a convicted felon, but that was years ago and he's
- 57:00Speaker 1: got a great job and a new life now. I
- 57:03Speaker 1: kept seeing this man and eventually went to his home,
- 57:06Speaker 1: well his mom's house, and saw how filthy his room was,
- 57:11Speaker 1: and I also noticed that his mom's yard was unkept
- 57:14Speaker 1: and there was trash lying around the driveway and porch. There.
- 57:18Speaker 1: These were red flags, and I told him he should
- 57:22Speaker 1: do better at helping his mom out around the house.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Then I invited him to my house to meet my
- 57:27Speaker 1: two children. I know he talks really hood and street,
- 57:31Speaker 1: but I thought he would do better when he met
- 57:33Speaker 1: my children. He did not, and my kids asked him
- 57:37Speaker 1: why he was talking like a rapper. He kept commenting
- 57:41Speaker 1: on how nice I kept my house, and after the visit,
- 57:44Speaker 1: his conversations turned to us making a commitment. He suggested
- 57:49Speaker 1: moving in with me so we could be closer and
- 57:51Speaker 1: he could help me out around the house. I was
- 57:54Speaker 1: excited at first because I really liked this man, but
- 57:58Speaker 1: then I thought I was being nice eve and he
- 58:00Speaker 1: could just be using me although he has some character flaws.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Could I work on this fixer upper and be happy?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Or should I leave this man at his mama's house?
- 58:10Speaker 1: Please advise, run, run, run as far away from this
- 58:16Speaker 1: man as you possibly can. I mean, you gotta leave
- 58:19Speaker 1: this man alone, please. I mean, when you see red flags,
- 58:22Speaker 1: don't ignore them. That's what red flags are for. Okay,
- 58:26Speaker 1: let's go through him. He lives with his mom, all right.
- 58:31Speaker 1: The yard is nasty, his room is nasty, he has
- 58:36Speaker 1: no car. He doesn't know how to be a good
- 58:39Speaker 1: role model in front of your children. And if he's
- 58:41Speaker 1: got such a nice job in a great job and
- 58:44Speaker 1: all this stuff like you see in the letter, Why
- 58:46Speaker 1: doesn't he save his money and get an apartment. There
- 58:49Speaker 1: was no discussion about that in this letter. And you know,
- 58:53Speaker 1: it wasn't until after he saw your place, after he
- 58:56Speaker 1: came over there, that he started, you know, like kind
- 58:59Speaker 1: of pressure sing you to move in and to be committed.
- 59:03Speaker 1: He said he would help you around the house. Oh really,
- 59:06Speaker 1: you would help her, but you're not you. He'll help you,
- 59:08Speaker 1: but he's not going to help his own mom around
- 59:10Speaker 1: the house. He could at least clean up the yard,
- 59:13Speaker 1: and what about his room. Come on, I don't get this.
- 59:17Speaker 1: I say, don't let him in your house in this
- 59:21Speaker 1: kind of a way. Don't let him move in. Please,
- 59:23Speaker 1: this is not how you want to live. You have
- 59:25Speaker 1: two kids to think about. I think if he was
- 59:28Speaker 1: and you didn't mention, you know, what he was incarcerated
- 59:31Speaker 1: for or anything like that. You just said he's out.
- 59:33Speaker 1: That was years ago, and he has a great job
- 59:36Speaker 1: and a new life now. But it just doesn't look
- 59:39Speaker 1: like it or seem like it. You know. Yeah, he
- 59:41Speaker 1: could be using you, but I say, no, it's too
- 59:44Speaker 1: soon to move in. Don't let him do it. Steve,
- 59:49Speaker 1: I'm confused. I really am huh about? Why? Why is
- 59:56Speaker 1: she writing this? Yeah? What is the purpose of this letter?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I don't even know why? Why are we Why are
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: we talking to her about? Who? Who are we talking about? That?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Everything in this letter screams what? Yeah, I mean, the
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: whole damn letter. Let's start. I met an older guy
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: right down and use attracted to him, but you played
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: hard to get Okay, you know, older guy, he begged
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: me for a first date. I agree with grother. He
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: asked me to pick him up right now, Let's stop,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: let's let's go. Let's listen, just listen. You met an
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: older guy. He asked me to pick him up. I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: ain't think nothing about it since his house was on
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: the way to the restaurant. When I got to the house,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he came out, and so did a much older lady.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Let's circle this. Let's just go for what we got
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: so far. Matter. Older guy, he asked you to pick
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: him up. He come out of the house with an
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: old ass lady. He got in my car and told
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: me this was his mom and he lived with her.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Let's circle that. At this point I had the opportunity
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: to tell him I was not interesting. But I went
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: out to dinner with him anyway, for what? Why? Let
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: me circle that. I went out to dinner with him anyway.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Then at dinner he told me he's a convicted feeling.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Let's circle that twice. But that was years ago, and
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: he got a good job and got a new life.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Now I kept seeing this man and eventually went to
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: his house, well, his mom's house. Okay, let's circle that,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: because now about were you? Why are you still talking
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to his ass after this? I don't know, But you
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: went back to his mama's house. And then this older
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: man you met. You saw how filthy his room was.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: You know, the last time I had a room, I
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: was seventeen. Yeah, and last time I took somebody to
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: my room other than a dormitory in college. Yeah, all right,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: how filthy his room was. Let's stop down or be
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: right back at twenty three after the hour. The subject
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: of today's Strawberry Letters should I love him or leave him?
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: come on, let's recap. Today's My recap can just be
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: a continuation because as I continue, I'll explain it. I'm
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: gonna show you everything that's wrong with this letter. This
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: letter is should I love him or leave him? Stephen Shirley.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I met an older guy. I circled that I was
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: attracting him, but I played hard to get. He begged
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: me for a first date. I eventually agreed to go
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: out with him. He asked me to pick him up.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I circled that everything I circle is screaming what I
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: ain't think much about it since his house was on
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the way to the the restaurant. When I got to the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: house and he came out, and so did a much
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: older lady. I circled that, who is this old ass lady?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: He got in my car and told me that this
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: was his mom and he lived with her. I circled that,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: let's go back, older guy, you had to pick him up.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: He's this old lady stay there, and you found out
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: his mama. At this point, I had an opportunity to
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: tell him I was not interested, but I went out
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to dinner with him anyway. I circled that The question
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I'm begging everybody to ask yourself is why is you
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: at dinner with this old ass man to stay at
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: the house with his mama that you had to pick up.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: That's all I'm asked at dinner. He told me he
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: was a convicted fellon. This whole letter is going to hell.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: But I kept seeing the man why. Eventually I went
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to his house where his mom's house. So I circled
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: that because it took you two visits to get it
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: the first time you pulled up. Next time you went
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to the damn house and found out it was a
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: mama's house. Stretch yelled on in blue plates, leaning up
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: against the wall on the fireplace, and had that big
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: woodn't and spoon and fox set hanging on the damn wall,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: that picture of white Jesus, mar Luther King and John F. Kenned.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: And I noticed that his mom's yard was unkept, and
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: it was trash laying around. I circled that he don't
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: give a damn by his mama. Trash laying around the
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: driveway and the porch that's where he eats. These were
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: all red flags, and I told him he should do
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: better helping out his mom around. Now you know what
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Judge Lynn told her told me one time on the show,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: what she said, women should stop collecting red flags. Ye,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: women should stop collecting red flags. Time. I'm gonna let
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: you use that already for love. This year, women should
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: stop collecting red flags. I told him he should do
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: better helping his mom out around the house. Then I
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: to him to my house to meet my two children.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I circled this, why is he meeting your damn kids?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Exactly what redeeming quality has he exhibited where you think
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: it's time for him to meet your damn kids? Now
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: he talks real hood in street. I circled that he
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: stayed home with his mama. Is mama old? You had
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: to pick him up? He lived with his mama. You
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: went out to dinner anyway, he a convicted felling. You
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: went to his mama's house. His room is filtered. It's
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: translating around the driveway in the porch. I invited him
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: to your house to meet the two kids, and he
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: talked real hood in street. This whole letter is just
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: going to hell. But I thought he would do better
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: when he met my children. He did not, And your
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: kids asked him why was he talking like a rapper?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You know why, because your kids know his whole ass
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: should be talking better than one of the damn piers.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Your kids know that, but you don't. So I circled
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: that he kept commenting on how nice I kept my house.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Hell yeah, hell yeah, you just described as mama's house.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: And after the visit, his conversations turned to us making
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: a commitment, a commitment to what he suggested moving in
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: with me so he could be closer and he could
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: help out round the house. He don't help out round
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the house. He don't help out round the house. He
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: don't help out in his filth ass room. He don't
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: help out with nothing on the poach, He don't help
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: out with nothing with the driveway. Where do he clean
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: up at? So he fitn't help you. Well, I was
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: excited at first because I really liked this man. What
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: is it you like? You ain't saying nothing in the
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: letter you like? Yeah, your whole letter is you just disappointed?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: You on this man? Then you sound really like him.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: You like what you must not. You ain't never handle
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: man before, you never had a good man before. Because
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: if this is what you like, I showed what I
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: hate to see, the one you got rid of, the
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: one you had them two kids by lady, you need
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: to up your up your game. I really liked this man,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: But then I have thought I was being you naive
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: and he could be using me although he had some
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: character flaw. Character flaw. He on his hell. That ain't
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: a character flaw. He ain't got a car. That ain't
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: a character flaw. He stayed with him mama. That ain't
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: a character flaw. He's a convicted felon. That ain't a
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: character flaw. His room is filtered. That ain't a character flaw.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: It's chanced on the dryway in the porch. That ain't
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: a character flaw. He wants to move in with you
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: so he can help out round house here. Damn run
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: all right, Steve, we got run. Post your comments on

- 1:11:44Speaker 1: you know. I wish it well. I wish you to
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: be successful, but this probably do real good overseas, yea, overseas,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Fox happen, they don't body. Black people don't like it.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Gold No, mm hmmm, no, no, not And you can't
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: do everybody, Steve, you can't. Don't do no Luther Androl's hologram.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Nobody wants to see that. No, that's hurt our art.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: That makes us cry. But then they're gonna have them

- 1:12:42Speaker 1: free by doing you. We gotta get out of here
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: at this start. Thank you. Cheryl coming up at the
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: top of the hour, it's Carlin Reality. You're listening. All right, Tommy,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: it's that time. Let's go, Low's go, Let's get it,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Let's get it. She is here, Color Ferrel with what
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: reality update? Oh, let's talk about the Real Housewives of
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Potomac the Season four the Reunion show, Part one? All right,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: my girl, Jazelle Bryant, Steve Gazelle Bryant. She announced that yes,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: that she and her ex husband, Pastor Jamal Bryant, are
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: dating again. Alright, Yes, isn't that good? Yes, Pastor Jamal
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: and Gizelle they were married, she said, I guess about
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: seven years and they got a divorce. They are co parenting.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: They have three children together, three daughters. Yes, those girls
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: are beautiful. And Giselle said that the two have been
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: seeing each other since last year and that Pastor Jamal
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: was heavily pursuing her. And she went on to say,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: there's nobody who knows me like that man, And I said,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: all right, girl. She also forgives him for cheating on her.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: She says that yes, she wanted to. Uh, you know,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: they're giving their love a second chance. That's what it seems,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: you know what. You know, they've had time away from
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: each other. That's not bad. You know, people go out
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: wants to cheat, always are cheated. That's not true. People change, man, Yeah,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: people change all the time, and for the better. That's outstanding. Yeah.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Gizelle said, you know, people, you know you you're not
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: you aren't your mistakes. That's what she said. You know
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: you are not your mistakes. And she has forgiven him.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: And so you know, they have three children together and
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: they're dating again. And you know, one of the castmates,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Monique ast Her, oh, are you ready to be a
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: first lady, And she's like, whatever the Lord has for me,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: I am ready. So good for them, Good for Chizel
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: and Jamal has Us old church. I've heard, man, nothing
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: but really really good things about it. Yeah. Yeah. I
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: read an article Steve in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: church is doing building assistant living, affordable assistant living, yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: for senior citizens, medical facility. So they are doing big
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: things for the community in Atlanta. So congratulations. And they're
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: just doing God's work down there. I know people who
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: are close to me who go to the church. Uh yes,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: And I just think, man, they're doing He's doing He's
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: doing a heck of a job. Man, down there. He
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: really really is h Yeah, Kanye, he was just there. Yeah.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: We talked about that earlier this week on the show
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: when Kanye was there as well. All right, back to
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the reunion show. Did you see Shirley, Candice and Ashley
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: they were doing the most. They got him, Steve saying
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: for me again, girl, they got them, yes, Chod, they
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: got on my nerves anyway. Candice mother, Candice's mother, Miss Dorothy,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: was there and talked about their relationship. I just don't
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: understand what's going on with them, mother and daughter. Anyway,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Candice bart receipts, brought receipts there, I should say, to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: prove that this town home that her and her husband
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: lived in is actually hers with her mom. Just you know,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: a whole bunch of drama with that. And there's an
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: also there's a rumor that Ashley and her husband Michael,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: that they are not coming back to the show. I
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: don't know if that's true. I don't believe that quite.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Thank you, Junior, that's what I need, my know. Yeah,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I don't know if that's true. And finally, let me
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: move on. Yeah, before we run out of time, y'all,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: we have to say congratulations. This is a big story
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: from my home station, Nick's ninety two point three in Detroit.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: We have to say congratulations to the Detroit Youth Choir.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: They were a finalist last night on America's Got tell Us. Yeah, Detroit,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: we are so proud of you. They didn't win. Cody Lee,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: the blind Artistic singing Guys, he won the million dollars,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: But Detroit Youth Choir they were right there in second
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: place and they represent Yeah. Yep, So that's reality update.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Hit me up at lip Spark, Carla, and we'll be
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: back at twenty after. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: the chicken sandwich wars are on. First Popeyes versus Chicken
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: Bilelet Now now KFC is rolling out a new version
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: of their chicken sandwich which features a piece of fried chicken.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Check this out, flapped between two glazed donuts. Oh yeah, delicious,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: sugar and grease together. What's not the love about that? Right? No,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: no joke. Fried chicken and doughnuts sandwiches are currently being
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: tested at locations in Norfolk and Richmond, Virginia, as well
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: as in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What do you think, Steve Harvey
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Is it bread or they're
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: using the two doughnuts as the bread? Yeah, the two
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: donuts tell the bread. I'll tell you right now. It
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: might taste good because I've had glaze, don't know which
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: from fried chicken. But if you eat that whole sandwich,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: what's gonna happen? Happen? I strongly suggest that you eat
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: it under the overhang at the emergency room, like a
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: lot of bikes up there, and eat your sandwich on
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: the curve in front of the emergency did right, that's
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: enough cholesterol on the bush your heart. Yeah, that's a
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: lot right there. And the sugar. If you don't have diabetes,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: you wheel all right? All right. We'll have more of
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up and some trending
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: news the thirty three after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Hay Morning Show. All right. So, Steve,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: you know, earlier this week we were talking about parenting
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: and our kids and everything, and we didn't get around
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: to the nephew. He's been wanting to ask you this
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: question about parenting all week. Nephew, you have the floor,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: all right, So uncle, my little girl, Sitney, She turned fifteen,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: we throw a big, you know, big dinner, and she
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: got a lot of kids there, I mean a lot
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: of teenagers from Jack and Jill. And you know it's fine.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: We got about twenty thirty kids at the table and
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: then at our table. It's more than adults. But I'm
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: starting to see these little boys hugging my daughter and
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: taking pictures with it. I ain't never seen this before.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: You're gonnead to hit one on them in the face.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: I don't know how to go just ain't got nothing
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: to do with y'all ladies. Stadt you got to hit
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: one of them little punk ass boys in their face
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: in front of the other boys. But don't let nobody
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: see it but the boys? All right? Now go ahead, Now,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: let's do the radio answer to go ahead? And what
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: how do I handle this as a father? And I
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: don't want to be too hard on it, but I
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: don't want to be too soft on it at the
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: same time, Hey, man, respect my house. I know my
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: daughter's beautiful. I know you probably attract the tool, but
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: this my house. I won't you be respectful my house now?
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: In essence, while they're living in your house, you have
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: some say soft now, I'll tell you like I did
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: one of mine. I said, this is what happened. I'm
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: really trying to be this new person. God made me
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: on this boat this year, and but the old meet
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: keeps creeping back around. Dog, he talked all the time.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: I will see go somewhere and shut the hell up.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: You know, Tommy, Man, it's hard because in your house
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: you can set rules and parameters, right, and so just
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: pull the young dude over to the side and just say, listen, man,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I got rules in my house, and you have to
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: be respectful of my house. Don't don't don't come in
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: my house handling my daughter. That's you can say that
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: because it's your house and a man, don't don't be
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: over the hug. You know nobody when you and missed
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: my house house. And that's a good message to have
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: out because after that dog, it's out your hands. Now.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: What they do outside the house, it's not because you're
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: not letting them do it in the house. That's what
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: people have misconception of. They think that in parenting, if
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: you don't allow them to do it in the house
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: when they get out the house, if you don't let
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: them do it in the house when they get out
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: the house, they're gonna do it. No, they're gonna do
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: it any damn way. Right. You know, you got people
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: talking about I let my kids drink and some weed
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: in the house. That way. They ain't out in the
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: streets drinking. They're smoking, Yes they are. If they're drinking
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: a smoking weed in your house, they drinking a smoking
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: weed on the street. You bu a fool to allow
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: it to happen in your house. You gotta have some
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: type of rules, man, to give them Pauls for thought
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: when they go out the house. Just Paul's for thought.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: You're not gonna stop. All right, coming up our last
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: break of the day and some closing remarks from the
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: very wise and very talented too Steve Harvey. Right after
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, here we go, last
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: break of the day, and um, Steve, yeah, you're this
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: is the time you get kind of quiet and in
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: your pensive moment because it's almost time for your closing remarks.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: But it's been a good day, right, it's an it's
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: good you know these closing remarks of late man, I
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: just want to kind of explain it to everybody what
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I've decided to do. Is uh. Just share with you
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: some experiences that I've gained uh and and a lot
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: of it has to do with spirituality. Now let me
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: let me just start by saying this. I'm not a
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: very religious person per se. Uh. I think I'm really
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: a spiritual person, but religious it kind of comes with
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: a different connotation. I don't claim to be perfect. It
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: doesn't matter to me what church you go to, what
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: mosque you go to, what synagogue you go to. It
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: doesn't matter to me. It's not my business. And I've
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: chosen to be that way, and I think that God
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: is okay with me being that way, because my message
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: is to try to convince or to help people understand
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that having a relationship with God is really cool. It's
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: the relationship you want with God. Your choice of religion
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: is none of my business. I have a lot of
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Muslim friends. I know some great Muslim people around the world.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: I know some great Christian people around the world. I
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: know great Catholics around the world. I know great Jewish
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: people producing whatever. I know some really really cool people.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: And I just decided that my mission is not to
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: convince you to see it my way. My mission is
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: to try to help you understand that having a relationship
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: with God, it's critical for you. It's necessary serry for you.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: You know, I posted something the other day on my
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Instagram and there was a picture of a warrior with
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: his head bent and he was on his knee and
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: he had a sword in his hand and a shield.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: And on this Instagram post I posted it, and if
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: you go on my Instagram you could see it from
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: yesterday and this man is on his knees with his
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: head bowed, with his sword in his hand and armor
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: and shield on. And he said, the devil saw me
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: with my head down and thought he'd won until I said,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: a man, So what the paint was saying, is my
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: head ain't down. I'm actually praying. And so after I
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: sent that, you know, I was just reading the comments,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: which which I know better. But the second comment and
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: the capture under it was prayer works. The second comment
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: under their third comment was no, it don't. And you
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: just go, wow, wait a minute, man, It don't matter
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: what you say. Some people gonna they just dared to counter.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: But I don't do it for those people anymore. I
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: do it for those people who trying to get it.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: And if you're trying to get a relationship with God.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: It's important for you to understand something. You know what,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: you gotta understand something. Let me sprain to you what
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I learned about favor, because my life has a lot
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: of favor on it. But I know a lot of
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: people who got favor on their life. Somebody told me
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: one time, favor ain't fair. Favor is not fair. If
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: favor was fairly given out, if it was favor was
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: giving out family, none of us would get it. Oh,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: favor ain't fair because if favor was given out to
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: the just or the righteous, if that's how fair was
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: passed out, would none of us get it. Favor ain't fair.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: That's why you can look COVID somebody's life and you
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: can judge them and say, well, they ain't all this,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: but they got this. That's because favor ain't fair. But
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: let me show you what what favor do. Do you
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: know how much favor Gods give to you? To show
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: you that favor ain't fair, watch this hill. Have you
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: ever woke up in the morning and didn't thank God
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: for waking you up in the morning, but he woke
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: you up anyway? That was favor. Let me ask you
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: a question. Because I hardly ever do this when I
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: lay down at night, I have never I don't recall
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: asking God to wake me up in the morning. But
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: you know what he did for sixty two years, he
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: didn't woke me up in the morning. You know what
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: that was. That was some favor. Favor ain't fail because
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: guess what, I ain't even asked to be awaken. I
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: have left the house without thinking him for waking me up.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: But he keep waking me up, and he keep laying
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: me down to sleep, and he keep giving me another chance,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: and he keeps me alive when it seems like I
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: should have been gone. He holds me when I feel
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: so alone. He corrects mistakes that I've made, on decisions
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: I've made. He's correcting him from me. You know what
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: that was, y'all? That was favor. Every time you take
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: a breath that you have no control over, can I
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: tell you something that's favor? That's why you you hear
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: old people talk about grace and favor, and old people say,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: all I want is a little more grace, because great,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: you can't earn grace, you can't earn favor. It's just given.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: Favor is given to the just Favor is given to
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: the unjust. Favor is given to the grateful. Favor is
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: given to people that don't ever say thank you. All
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: of us have benefited from his favor. What do you
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: think would happen if you form the closer relationship with him? Well, tomorrow,
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: I tell you what I happened, because it happened to me.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: I just want to share that with you. Y'all, have
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: a great weekend. Talk to God. He'd loved to hear
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: from you. Okay, that's a good one. I talk to y'all.
