- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out to turn turn wanter y, comey, come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your back at it. Uh huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody you are listening to the voice, come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Yeah man, one more time. Steve Harvey got
- 2:15Speaker 1: a radio show. Why because God, God is in the
- 2:20Speaker 1: blessing business. If you go get in line, he has
- 2:24Speaker 1: something for you. If you go get in line, he
- 2:30Speaker 1: has something for you. God is amazing the plan he
- 2:37Speaker 1: actually has for you. It's so far greater than you
- 2:41Speaker 1: can possibly imagine. It's really mind blowing. And as I
- 2:45Speaker 1: look back on where He's brought me from and what
- 2:50Speaker 1: he's currently doing for me, all I can do is
- 2:54Speaker 1: tell you is God, That's all I can tell you
- 2:56Speaker 1: because I tell you right now, I didn't foresee it.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You know. It oftentimes amazes me when I listened to
- 3:03Speaker 1: celebrities when they interview, how they say, you know, I
- 3:06Speaker 1: always always thought that this would happen for me and
- 3:09Speaker 1: not just you know, it could be true, but for me,
- 3:12Speaker 1: it's not that way at all. I didn't imagine it
- 3:18Speaker 1: this way. I had a dream of becoming famous one day,
- 3:24Speaker 1: but I had no idea it would it would ever
- 3:28Speaker 1: get to this. It was a very very simple desire
- 3:33Speaker 1: for fame. I just simply wanted to become one of
- 3:36Speaker 1: the premier stand ups in the country, one of them,
- 3:38Speaker 1: not the but just one of them. Because you know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: humor is um you know, it's I don't know the
- 3:45Speaker 1: right word, but it's an opinion. Some people, no matter
- 3:51Speaker 1: how funny you are, think somebody else is funnier than you.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I get that. That's I don't have a problem with that.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's some people that did not like Richard Pryde. They
- 4:00Speaker 1: didn't they didn't find his brand of humor to be
- 4:03Speaker 1: funny at all, because it doesn't it didn't tickle their
- 4:05Speaker 1: funny bone. So really, what I wanted in the beginning
- 4:10Speaker 1: was to become one of the premier stand ups in
- 4:13Speaker 1: the country. There is no way I could have seen
- 4:16Speaker 1: all this. There is no way I am telling you
- 4:20Speaker 1: this is. This has been nothing for me but the
- 4:23Speaker 1: grace of God, and all the times I failed, every
- 4:28Speaker 1: time I had fallen, he picked me up, he dusted
- 4:33Speaker 1: me off, and he kept me moving. It has been
- 4:37Speaker 1: an amazing thing to watch God do what he do.
- 4:41Speaker 1: As I look back on my history, and you sometimes
- 4:44Speaker 1: look back on your history, you've got to see, Man, wow,
- 4:48Speaker 1: what God has done for you and what He's brought
- 4:50Speaker 1: you through to enable you to be where you are.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It is amazing because really, I mean really real talk. Now,
- 4:58Speaker 1: had he allowed all all of the decisions I had
- 5:01Speaker 1: made to play all the way out, I can assure
- 5:04Speaker 1: you I wouldn't be here today. But God, through this
- 5:08Speaker 1: grace and mercy, who had a plan for me, who
- 5:11Speaker 1: was just waiting on me to come get in line,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and then he was gonna start empty and now he
- 5:17Speaker 1: was gonna start shipping out all the boxes in heaven
- 5:20Speaker 1: with my name on it. And man, and what a
- 5:23Speaker 1: great God he is, What a great God he is?
- 5:26Speaker 1: And you have boxes of blessings with your name on
- 5:32Speaker 1: it that he is waiting to ship, but he needs
- 5:35Speaker 1: you to go down there and get in line. That's
- 5:38Speaker 1: what it is. It is not that he has more
- 5:41Speaker 1: boxes for other people than he do you. He got
- 5:44Speaker 1: boxes with your name on it who have never been shipped.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Because you will not get in line to go get him.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You will not ask God for him, you will not
- 5:54Speaker 1: do the things necessary to attain them. We stop our
- 5:57Speaker 1: own blessings. Man, I have been the biggest star of
- 6:00Speaker 1: my blessings than anybody else. I can't really get mad
- 6:03Speaker 1: at nobody. I got nobody to blame for my existence
- 6:07Speaker 1: but me. But then at the same time, I can't
- 6:11Speaker 1: take credit for this. I really really can't. I kid
- 6:14Speaker 1: you not, I cannot take credit for And if you
- 6:17Speaker 1: ever see me taking credit forward, tap me on the shoulder,
- 6:20Speaker 1: say Steve, pull up. You remember you said this same
- 6:25Speaker 1: about you. If you catch me taking too much credit,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you have my permission to stop me. Now Here is
- 6:33Speaker 1: the deal, though, and and this is what I want
- 6:36Speaker 1: to get through to today, moving forward while under attack
- 6:46Speaker 1: new level, new devil. You know, every time you go somewhere,
- 6:50Speaker 1: every time you try to progress, every time you make
- 6:52Speaker 1: a decision to be better, to do better. That's gonna
- 6:55Speaker 1: be a confrontation you're going to have because it is
- 6:58Speaker 1: the enemy's job to not see you go forward, do better.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Won't more, behave yourself. There is a force that is
- 7:07Speaker 1: operative out there that has people working on his behalf seven.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I mean, just do dirt all day long. You gotta computer.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Go go read a blog. Just go read a blog.
- 7:20Speaker 1: They're busy man, not knowing, but just saying evil stuff constantly.
- 7:26Speaker 1: That's the job. Well, here's here's what happens. I you.
- 7:33Speaker 1: We have to always keep moving forward while we're under
- 7:39Speaker 1: attack because the attack it's going to always come. If
- 7:46Speaker 1: you allow the attackers to stop you, you will lose
- 7:50Speaker 1: that particular battle. And you cannot afford this. You know.
- 7:54Speaker 1: My father used to say, be careful when you're trying
- 7:58Speaker 1: to kick somebody off the letter, because you got to
- 8:00Speaker 1: take your foot off too, and you might slip. And
- 8:04Speaker 1: so when people are taking their feet off the ladder,
- 8:07Speaker 1: most something more, the majority, the main nam up own
- 8:10Speaker 1: a ladder. They just at the bottom throwing stuff up
- 8:13Speaker 1: at you. They are just shaking your ladder. They ain't
- 8:16Speaker 1: even they ain't even on your level. Really tell you
- 8:18Speaker 1: the truth, they're really not. You have moved on far
- 8:21Speaker 1: beyond them spiritually, physically, everything, but they are still shaking
- 8:26Speaker 1: your ladder and attacking. You. Keep moving forward while under attack,
- 8:31Speaker 1: because the attacks are going to come. If you take
- 8:34Speaker 1: the time to stop and address it, you are impeding
- 8:37Speaker 1: your own progress. This is very important to understand. Go
- 8:43Speaker 1: on about your business and remember Steve Harvey and remember
- 8:47Speaker 1: those of you out there. There is a Bible verse
- 8:50Speaker 1: that helps me out every time. And I don't know why.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I got it on six different plaques sitting all around
- 8:55Speaker 1: my offices. Everywhere I go, I can read it Isaiah seventeen,
- 9:00Speaker 1: No weapon formed against Michel Prosper that because this is
- 9:04Speaker 1: that he will put me under his wings of protection.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And this is my inheritance as a servant of the
- 9:13Speaker 1: Lord period. I'm his boy, he my man, so so
- 9:18Speaker 1: dig so so when you're coming for me, I have
- 9:21Speaker 1: to just rest on that Lord right there, that he
- 9:24Speaker 1: got it, that no weapon formed against Michell Prosper. I'm
- 9:28Speaker 1: just like you. Sometimes, you know, we know better, but
- 9:31Speaker 1: sometimes we don't do better. Man. Let them say what
- 9:34Speaker 1: they're gonna say when they get through saying it when
- 9:37Speaker 1: they get through. Right now, when they get through talking
- 9:39Speaker 1: about you. When they get through line about you, guess
- 9:42Speaker 1: what they're gonna have to do. They're gonna have to
- 9:43Speaker 1: step back and watch your rise. They're gonna have to
- 9:47Speaker 1: kick back and watch what God got for you. Because
- 9:50Speaker 1: nothing God got for you. Can't nobody stop it. I
- 9:52Speaker 1: don't care what they do. Keep moving forward while under attack,
- 9:59Speaker 1: you know, so might tell you something. Mr Lewis Faircon
- 10:03Speaker 1: taught me something very important one day, he says, Steve,
- 10:07Speaker 1: remember this. He said. It is a common thing for
- 10:12Speaker 1: a dog to balk up at the moon. But if
- 10:15Speaker 1: the moon box back at the dog, the dog becomes famous.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You feel me, the moon was talking to you. What
- 10:25Speaker 1: did you? How did the moon stop and talk to you?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Don't give them that. Let the dog bark up at
- 10:31Speaker 1: the moon. Don't you be up there? You go where
- 10:33Speaker 1: God got you going. Don't bark back at this dog
- 10:36Speaker 1: because the dog come famous, because they ain't gonna be
- 10:38Speaker 1: able to get to you. But the dog is famous.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Now they want to interview the dog, not a dog.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Guess what he's gonna do more bark and guess what
- 10:44Speaker 1: about you? Man? Going about your business? Y'all? God is
- 10:48Speaker 1: in the blessing business all day long man, go get
- 10:51Speaker 1: in line, get you something, Get them packages and boxes
- 10:54Speaker 1: ship to you. They got your name on it, waiting
- 10:56Speaker 1: on you, Steve Show, Ladies and gentlemen, boards and girls,
- 11:04Speaker 1: people all around the world. You are listening to the
- 11:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah man, Good morning, Shirless Strawberry,
- 11:14Speaker 1: Good morning Steve Harvey and the Fabulous Caller for Real.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Good morning Steve. Hey crew, ha, pitch, that's what you want?
- 11:30Speaker 1: That loose Kennon Jay, Anthony Brown, Good morning, Steve Hay
- 11:40Speaker 1: you So, where's Tommy? He's on his way out here.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Really do you all think he's sliding back a little
- 11:49Speaker 1: bit into what he used to be? I don't know him. No,
- 11:53Speaker 1: he actually said at the top of the year he changed.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Remember how many of you believe the chain what he was?
- 12:00Speaker 1: He's so far, so good? What was he He's not?
- 12:03Speaker 1: He used to be a hothead Jai and you made
- 12:10Speaker 1: him mad. He would shut down, right, Steve. He wouldn't
- 12:14Speaker 1: speak to you for two three weeks week old grudges
- 12:17Speaker 1: at a time. Oh like he would disappear from full
- 12:21Speaker 1: six breaks of the show. Just let's say nothing here.
- 12:25Speaker 1: You throw a time and you get nothing, nothing nothing.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Don't throw it down. He's gonna be on the floor.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Don't throw anohing. It was crazy, man, as it was crazy.
- 12:42Speaker 1: He has he has improved. Yeah, he hasn't big time.
- 12:49Speaker 1: But I gotta be honest with you. The mentoring, it's
- 12:53Speaker 1: not that supposed. It's it's it's alarmingly absent. But Steve,
- 12:58Speaker 1: part of that is you. You don't have time, you
- 13:01Speaker 1: know you got You gotta accept some responsibility. No, I'm sorry,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I accept no responsible Why hold on? Did you not
- 13:15Speaker 1: just come to the set or family feud? Yes? I did, sir.
- 13:20Speaker 1: How much time do we spend together? Bam. That doesn't
- 13:29Speaker 1: make any attempt here to getting mentored. He's been I
- 13:34Speaker 1: am team timing, just putting facts up. You got an
- 13:40Speaker 1: apartment out of here in l A. He got a
- 13:42Speaker 1: home in Houston. He travels, everybody, got a sell for
- 13:47Speaker 1: he can text email. He makes no attempt to be mentored,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and just sadly to say, well, no, I'd retract that.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And he's on his way to having his career the
- 14:03Speaker 1: way he's designing it, and he's just on his way.
- 14:06Speaker 1: But it is devoid of mentoring. And I just wanted
- 14:09Speaker 1: to say that, Well, it doesn't sound like he's feeling
- 14:12Speaker 1: another way. You're open to mentor him, and he hasn't
- 14:14Speaker 1: contacted you. Some time, I feel like a mentorist child.
- 14:24Speaker 1: What sometimes I feel like a mentalist child. He got
- 14:30Speaker 1: to be humming that some more. Well, it's the last
- 14:34Speaker 1: week of March. Yeah, we're gonna try to get a
- 14:36Speaker 1: crack in this week. This was started in January. I
- 14:45Speaker 1: ain't talked with this boy yet. How busy you think?
- 14:48Speaker 1: I a busy? Surely you and I have talked. Thank you,
- 14:54Speaker 1: we'll be back. You're listening to show? All right, It's
- 14:59Speaker 1: time guys for something funny, funny with three comedians this morning.

- 16:32Speaker 1: But she's supposed to be the what is the mascot
- 16:35Speaker 1: of the team. She's very I mean, she's raised a
- 16:40Speaker 1: shark for ninety eight. Yeah, I'm going like, wow, man,
- 16:43Speaker 1: this woman is speaking, she's clear coherent. She knows all
- 16:48Speaker 1: that's talked about San Antonio. But Tim Boys is getting
- 16:52Speaker 1: it done. Man. You know that's a school you go
- 16:55Speaker 1: to when you get picked to go to the big
- 16:58Speaker 1: the bigger schools and you know, you know you didn't
- 17:00Speaker 1: quite get the big great the Great Pontys held you back.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Why are you going down low? You know, just it's
- 17:12Speaker 1: something close to your heart. I know what it's like
- 17:17Speaker 1: to get in badly. All right, So now all kinds
- 17:21Speaker 1: of teams want Sister Jean to come to their city
- 17:24Speaker 1: and and visit them. Atlanta Falcons won her Carolina Panthers,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and um, she might even have a date with Charles
- 17:32Speaker 1: Barkley because he said if Loyola went made it to
- 17:35Speaker 1: the final four, he would take Sister Jean out in
- 17:37Speaker 1: a date. Wow, I guess she need to be getting
- 17:41Speaker 1: if she going to save teams. How to hell on
- 17:44Speaker 1: the Cleveland Brown? I knew it didn't call her. They
- 17:49Speaker 1: need to be first. And how the hell Barkley gonna
- 17:54Speaker 1: understand the depth of this lady's language. Really, I'll be
- 18:02Speaker 1: talking all over, but listen, me and Charles talk real good.
- 18:08Speaker 1: When we together, we will be right there. Yeah, same
- 18:13Speaker 1: vote turn p. So do you guys have like a um,
- 18:19Speaker 1: here's a question for you, do have like a good

- 19:31Speaker 1: What situation you can't get in and he can't help
- 19:33Speaker 1: you get out? Even my husband said, boy, we follow
- 19:39Speaker 1: a hard time. We got one millionaire and I just
- 19:42Speaker 1: want to say it properly. Inn word does it without
- 19:46Speaker 1: a cape? He does? Change is never quite up. Yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: we need to throw that. I like I do. Just
- 19:59Speaker 1: see him. I'm changing the number. No, no, no, as
- 20:05Speaker 1: soon as it get regular. If I get two phone called,

- 21:13Speaker 1: can do on the phone now you couldn't do nowhere

- 21:18Speaker 1: you couldn't even you didn't even know who was. Yeah. Hey,
- 21:24Speaker 1: let me tell you something. They got an app where
- 21:27Speaker 1: you can call somebody's number and it will scramble your
- 21:30Speaker 1: phone number and make it look like something else. If
- 21:33Speaker 1: somebody's blocked you, there's an app you can get used
- 21:36Speaker 1: the app punching in their number and then call it
- 21:39Speaker 1: through that app and it scrambles your number and it
- 21:41Speaker 1: looks like something They got that. Now we're trying to
- 21:44Speaker 1: use that app on us. No, that ain't rich, that's

- 24:55Speaker 1: connected to the plumbing here at the church. Uh. They
- 24:59Speaker 1: have voted passed her to put her out, but the
- 25:02Speaker 1: last decision will be Yo. Well, I'm pretty sure as
- 25:07Speaker 1: everyone else that hard hand hand. What is she stealing
- 25:14Speaker 1: Bible for is beyond and me. I don't know if
- 25:17Speaker 1: she reselling them to other churches than that, but maybe
- 25:20Speaker 1: I'm missing sixty two. Well them copper pipes is for crack,
- 25:25Speaker 1: that's for shure crackheads, and male head is still still
- 25:30Speaker 1: copper pipe. I didn't know that for sure. Yeah, I
- 25:35Speaker 1: wouldn't have wrote it like that if my response had
- 25:40Speaker 1: nothing to do with you. I'm not. I'm not at
- 25:43Speaker 1: your death when you're coming up with you can't be
- 25:46Speaker 1: at mine when I come up with your responding. Next.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Let's see here seventy two year old spoon kid Jason. Yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 1: Spooky Johnson has just received his g e D. He
- 26:06Speaker 1: is not telling people he has qualified to run the
- 26:08Speaker 1: after school tutoring program. Uh. Now the problem is, um,
- 26:14Speaker 1: he wants to run a school to the program and
- 26:17Speaker 1: uh but you know our children is our future and
- 26:22Speaker 1: they want you to decide if he is qualified to
- 26:25Speaker 1: run this program. Spooky won't be in charge of the
- 26:29Speaker 1: children where he wants to tutor the children he came to.
- 26:33Speaker 1: What y'all are leaving out is Spooky got his g
- 26:37Speaker 1: e D just in heating and out. No, that don't
- 26:45Speaker 1: qualify you to teach children basic mouth, English science, social studies,
- 26:53Speaker 1: and gymnastics, which we are trying to make a well
- 26:57Speaker 1: rounded youth down in here. Our gymnastics team took last
- 27:03Speaker 1: place last year in the church nationals. Right, one single
- 27:09Speaker 1: baby girl that we could toss high up in the tow.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Now we've started the nutrition program, get these little heavy dude,
- 27:23Speaker 1: a cut is down on the program where we can
- 27:28Speaker 1: get one of these girls to get on on top
- 27:30Speaker 1: of the Pin't made only two level high, right, we
- 27:33Speaker 1: only we only kids were down that high out of
- 27:40Speaker 1: ours a basis. That's that's a little TOSSI cheer with them,
- 27:47Speaker 1: call the baby cheer with the championship to the travels
- 27:51Speaker 1: and everything. We can't get but six of these in
- 27:54Speaker 1: the damn van. We put them in there with their mama.
- 27:58Speaker 1: That van four. We can't care a whole team. We
- 28:01Speaker 1: had to make three trips lass that passed. They the
- 28:05Speaker 1: Chilian team is asking that we get some new uniforms
- 28:08Speaker 1: because they they need some new ones. You know I
- 28:12Speaker 1: need them. They didn't throw out the moment. I have
- 28:20Speaker 1: asked y'all to stop letting sister Ferguson make these Chilian
- 28:25Speaker 1: offits because she keep using cotton and thread. You gotta
- 28:29Speaker 1: get spread dex, some lockwoods where she's been using the
- 28:32Speaker 1: old road materia. That's where she's been used. That ain't
- 28:35Speaker 1: gonna stand up under the heavy duty, cutest das routine. Uh.
- 28:44Speaker 1: At one moment before you were late. Not now you
- 28:49Speaker 1: can't hear, But did nobody know that you don't have
- 28:52Speaker 1: time for nothing? Then nobody and everybody knew that because
- 28:57Speaker 1: we said it. Yeah, but we know he's late. We're
- 29:04Speaker 1: not dwelling. Were pass and I was waiting to see him.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Netflix was going cow hey, listen coming up at the
- 29:13Speaker 1: top of the hour, protesters demand gun reform at eight
- 29:16Speaker 1: hundred plus rallies around the world March for Our Lives.
- 29:20Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, President
- 29:26Speaker 1: Trump was in mar Lago over the weekend. He was
- 29:30Speaker 1: golfing while millions. Yeah, you don't even have to say
- 29:34Speaker 1: he golf He was so quiet this weekend. Millions of
- 29:38Speaker 1: protesters meanwhile, demanded gun control h laws. During the March
- 29:43Speaker 1: for Our Lives protests this past Saturday, survivors of the
- 29:47Speaker 1: deadly shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida delivered
- 29:50Speaker 1: a resounding message that Washington's in action on gun violence
- 29:55Speaker 1: is no longer acceptable. Protesters were shouting never again. Take
- 30:00Speaker 1: a listen. My name is Naomi and I'm eleven years old.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I am here today to acknowledge and represent the African
- 30:07Speaker 1: American girls whose stories don't make the front page of
- 30:09Speaker 1: every national newspaper. I represent the African American women who
- 30:14Speaker 1: are victims of gun violence, who are simply statistics instead
- 30:18Speaker 1: of vibrant, beautiful girls that's full out potential. For far
- 30:22Speaker 1: too long, these names, these black girls and women, have
- 30:25Speaker 1: been just numbers. I'm here to say never again for
- 30:28Speaker 1: those girls too years old, powerful may alright, it's a
- 30:38Speaker 1: new generation of activists. Man Martin Luther King's granddaughter, nine
- 30:42Speaker 1: year old Yolanda Renee King, spoke about a fight for
- 30:45Speaker 1: a great generation. Many celebrities marched right along with the protesters,
- 30:50Speaker 1: including George Clooney, Paul McCartney, Kim and Kanye Miley, Cyrus,
- 30:55Speaker 1: Andrew Day Common and Jennifer Hudson closed Washington Mark with
- 31:00Speaker 1: a in Washington by singing a gospel rendition of Bob
- 31:03Speaker 1: Dylan's The Times They Are Changing, and Steve, one of
- 31:07Speaker 1: the survivors, said to the leaders, skeptics and cynics who
- 31:10Speaker 1: told us to sit down, stay silent, and wait your turn,
- 31:14Speaker 1: welcome to the revolution. Either represent the people or get
- 31:18Speaker 1: out stand for us, or beware. You know this this
- 31:23Speaker 1: generation is the one that's gonna make a change when
- 31:26Speaker 1: it comes to ease, uh the n r A. I've
- 31:30Speaker 1: was listening to Rick Sentatorium on CNN, and what's amazing
- 31:35Speaker 1: is he's saying, you know to the fact that you know,
- 31:41Speaker 1: in in in essence, all they're doing is protesting and
- 31:46Speaker 1: trying to bring out some meat, trying to bring about
- 31:48Speaker 1: some meaningless gun laws when there are so many other
- 31:52Speaker 1: things that need to be addressed to make our schools safer.
- 31:56Speaker 1: And I was just looking at this guy because they
- 31:59Speaker 1: will do anything to deflect the attention off of the UM,
- 32:07Speaker 1: the N I A and UM this guy down here
- 32:11Speaker 1: in Florida, this ruby dude, uh that they all over
- 32:15Speaker 1: for accepting N I A money. You know, I mean
- 32:18Speaker 1: he he wants to applaud these kids, but then he doesn't.
- 32:21Speaker 1: It doesn't he don't. They want applaud the kids, but
- 32:26Speaker 1: they don't like the kids solutions that they're offering. Because
- 32:30Speaker 1: all of the solutions that these young people are offering
- 32:33Speaker 1: up our solutions that would stop the sales of assault
- 32:38Speaker 1: writer and up the age and require more validation before
- 32:44Speaker 1: you can purchase the gun. And n I don't want that.
- 32:48Speaker 1: They want to keep making and selling assault rafle Assault
- 32:52Speaker 1: rifles were created for war. Here's another thing. The Second
- 32:56Speaker 1: Amendment was created in a time where people were not
- 33:00Speaker 1: walking into You couldn't walk in the church and kill
- 33:02Speaker 1: everybody in the church because you had a musket gun.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Your ass had to take a pellet, drop it down
- 33:09Speaker 1: in there, pack some gunpotty in there with a stick.
- 33:12Speaker 1: In the store forty people ain't gonna sit there and
- 33:14Speaker 1: let you shoot their head. You might. You can get
- 33:19Speaker 1: one bullet packed in there and walk in that church
- 33:21Speaker 1: and shoot. You will not get a second round off.
- 33:25Speaker 1: So now you can have the Second Amendment. But we've
- 33:29Speaker 1: created weapons of mass destruction. I don't mean like nuclear
- 33:33Speaker 1: but I'm talking about when you can walk in and
- 33:35Speaker 1: fall so many rounds per minute, it's for killing. Yeah,
- 33:41Speaker 1: it shouldn't be allowed, ladies and gentlemen, without a doubt,
- 33:44Speaker 1: the best news person in all of radio this and trip.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Thank you very much, Steve. Good morning everybody. This is
- 33:51Speaker 1: a trip with the news, and we do have a
- 33:52Speaker 1: lot to talk about. Thousands of young people from all
- 33:55Speaker 1: over the country descended on the nation's capital on Saturday,
- 33:58Speaker 1: denouncing President of the members of Congress over the lack
- 34:02Speaker 1: of new gun control laws they say they want to change.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Everyone have been touched by the cold grip of gun violence.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Understands for those who still can't comprehend because they refused
- 34:13Speaker 1: to six minutes and twenty seconds with an a R fifteen.
- 34:17Speaker 1: And my friend Carmen would never complain to me about
- 34:21Speaker 1: piano practice. Alex Schefter would never walk into school with
- 34:25Speaker 1: his brother Ryan, Elena Patty would never, Kara Lgren would never,
- 34:30Speaker 1: Chris Hickson would never, Luke Hoyer would never, Peter Wang
- 34:34Speaker 1: would never, Alyssa Alhadaf would never, Meatow Pollock would never.
- 34:40Speaker 1: The White House issued a statement praising the marches for
- 34:42Speaker 1: exercising their First Amendment right, but the President issued no tweets.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Demonstrats in Florida called out Republican Santa Marco Rubio for
- 34:49Speaker 1: accepting they say reported three point three million dollars from
- 34:52Speaker 1: the n r A and A. Students set up kiosk
- 34:55Speaker 1: at their demonstration where people could register to vote. By
- 34:57Speaker 1: the way, there was several special guests, but there was
- 35:00Speaker 1: one adorable little girl named Lander Rene King who wowed
- 35:03Speaker 1: the crowd. You see you. Land is the granddaughter of
- 35:05Speaker 1: the late Great Reverend Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. And
- 35:08Speaker 1: while reminding every one of his dream she said she
- 35:11Speaker 1: had one of her own dream. Enough is enough fascination.
- 35:33Speaker 1: That was nine year old Lander and a King. Besides watching,
- 35:36Speaker 1: they were also student anti gun demonstrations in New York, Florida, Minnesota, Virginia, Colorado, Paris, London, Berlin,
- 35:43Speaker 1: all over the place. At the box office, specific Rim
- 35:46Speaker 1: came in at number one over the weekend, come winning
- 35:48Speaker 1: twenty eight million dollars over Black Panther. But nevertheless, Black
- 35:51Speaker 1: Panther has now become one of the top five highest
- 35:54Speaker 1: grossing films in US box office history. It is now
- 35:57Speaker 1: the highest grossing superhero film ever. And finally, today is
- 36:01Speaker 1: National Spinach Day. More entertainment, Today's trending topics, Twin Miss
- 36:12Speaker 1: After the Hour and Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:15Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. There's a new generation guys,
- 36:19Speaker 1: new generation of activists, including nine year old Yalanda Renee King.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Who is she? You might hear the last name and think, oh,
- 36:27Speaker 1: is this the relative of the King's will you will
- 36:29Speaker 1: be exactly right. She's a granddaughter of civil rights icon
- 36:33Speaker 1: Martin Luther King Jr. And Coretta Scott King. Little Yalanda
- 36:37Speaker 1: is the daughter of Martin Luther King the third. Yolanda
- 36:41Speaker 1: stood alongside Jacqueline cora In, a seventeen year old student
- 36:44Speaker 1: who survived the shooting at Stoneman Douglas, Florida High School,
- 36:47Speaker 1: and she spoke, take a listen, granddaughter, Martin endor King,
- 37:00Speaker 1: My father had a dream that his four little children
- 37:04Speaker 1: will not be judged by the color their skin, but
- 37:08Speaker 1: by the continent of their character. I have a dream
- 37:11Speaker 1: that period. Landa spoke about a great generation and this
- 37:24Speaker 1: young lady is following in her grandfather's footsteps advocating for
- 37:28Speaker 1: change and peace. Wow at nine years old. Love, Yes, yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 1: we gotta keep a watch on her, keep an eye
- 37:37Speaker 1: lander Rene King. Do these kids make you feel in
- 37:40Speaker 1: any way that you failed Joe children? Yeah, we were.
- 37:45Speaker 1: We have failed ourselves as humans. Yeah, yeah, yeah they do.
- 37:50Speaker 1: They're so bright, they're so articulate, and you're so passionate
- 37:54Speaker 1: doing it inside and dolls, dolls, jacks with my sister,
- 38:05Speaker 1: front with my sister, just baking cookies. I was making
- 38:13Speaker 1: clothes for my dolls and combing their hair and doing
- 38:16Speaker 1: all the things. Yeah, I had a knock in my yo, yo, jake.
- 38:21Speaker 1: And we're looking at what these kids are confronted with
- 38:25Speaker 1: stuff at different times, for sure. And this and this
- 38:30Speaker 1: young lady, Landa Rene King, she talked about you know,
- 38:33Speaker 1: see what we talked about last week with my daughter
- 38:35Speaker 1: with doing lockdowns at school. She talked about dealing with that.
- 38:39Speaker 1: So that's what these fourth graders are dealing with. Like
- 38:42Speaker 1: you said, Jay, this is what they're dealing with, this
- 38:45Speaker 1: part of what they're dealing with, And this is unbelievable
- 38:48Speaker 1: compared to what we dealt with. I mean, the biggest
- 38:51Speaker 1: thing we deal with. For me, I know, my jobs,
- 38:54Speaker 1: Bamba that was his name, to bully, taking my lunch money.
- 38:57Speaker 1: That was it. And now for you that was yeah.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Me and line of Cotton and Henry Ware. I was
- 39:04Speaker 1: trying to figure out how to keep our teacher from
- 39:07Speaker 1: coming to schooling next day with this day I'm spelling
- 39:09Speaker 1: for There was a plan, that's what we was going through. Yeah,
- 39:16Speaker 1: school's safest places, the safest place you can wait there
- 39:21Speaker 1: all day for your mama to come and get you
- 39:23Speaker 1: wait there at the school. And Lee Brown came to school.
- 39:28Speaker 1: It was troubled to take off work. Oh my god, school,
- 39:35Speaker 1: my job talking, you're listening to show and you know,
- 39:45Speaker 1: give me that and I just remember you wouldn't handed
- 39:49Speaker 1: over and uh so he did. And I was like,
- 39:53Speaker 1: turn around, drop him, you told do trying to turn
- 39:56Speaker 1: around and take off his pants? Yes? And did he yes?
- 40:00Speaker 1: So he turned around and pulled his pants down a little,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you know, he had underwear and stuff, and and I
- 40:05Speaker 1: just gave him a couple of swats. Man last night?
- 40:08Speaker 1: When is that he's last night? I'm guys whoa Everyone
- 40:14Speaker 1: was watching Stormy Daniels. She was interviewed by Anderson Cooper
- 40:19Speaker 1: about the affair she says she had with Donald Trump
- 40:23Speaker 1: in two thousand six and two thousand seven, and she said,
- 40:26Speaker 1: never used a condom. Yeah, he didn't like those things.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Did you want to have sex with him? No? But
- 40:35Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't say no. I'm not a victim.
- 40:38Speaker 1: I'm not. It was entirely concentral. Yes, yes, you work
- 40:42Speaker 1: in an industry where condom uses is an issue? Did
- 40:45Speaker 1: did he use a condom? Did you ask him to?
- 40:49Speaker 1: And that's all that's playing all through the White House
- 40:52Speaker 1: man every TV. That's what I'm saying. You get that.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Last they talked about the hundred dollars hush money and
- 41:03Speaker 1: more and they must make her. Take a listen to this,
- 41:10Speaker 1: and then we're going to talk about the playmate Karen
- 41:13Speaker 1: McDougall as well. All right, take a listen. When Anderson
- 41:15Speaker 1: Cooper asked Stormy why is she doing this interview? It's
- 41:18Speaker 1: part of talking wanting to set the record straight. What
- 41:23Speaker 1: is the record need to be set straight? Because people
- 41:26Speaker 1: are just saying whatever they wanted to say about me.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I was perfectly fine saying nothing at all. But I'm
- 41:32Speaker 1: not okay with being made out to me a liar
- 41:36Speaker 1: or people thinking that I did this for money, and
- 41:39Speaker 1: people are like, oh, you're an opportunist, you're taking advantage
- 41:41Speaker 1: of this. Yes, I'm getting more job offers now, But
- 41:44Speaker 1: tell me one person who would turned down a job
- 41:46Speaker 1: offer making more than they've been making doing the same
- 41:49Speaker 1: thing that they've always done. And Stormy Daniels is seeking
- 41:52Speaker 1: a ruling that the confidentiality agreement between her and the
- 41:56Speaker 1: President is invalid, in part because Mr Trump never signed that.
- 42:00Speaker 1: The President's attorneys are seeking to move the case to
- 42:02Speaker 1: federal court. Um Steve, is that is that legit? Though
- 42:06Speaker 1: if he didn't sign it, is that legit? Uh? Well,
- 42:10Speaker 1: I mean you know you can't. You can't legally say
- 42:16Speaker 1: it was him because his signature is nowhere on it.
- 42:20Speaker 1: All you have is a picture of you two at
- 42:22Speaker 1: a golf tournament. But you have to bet the question, beckons,
- 42:26Speaker 1: why would his lawyer pay this woman hunting thirty and
- 42:30Speaker 1: they don't know each other or have her met, So
- 42:33Speaker 1: why is that? And so quite naturally it's a cover up.
- 42:37Speaker 1: But then I mean the hundred and thirty thousand dollar
- 42:40Speaker 1: comes into play because they got a temporary restraining order,
- 42:45Speaker 1: a temporary order to block her from talking. Now, where
- 42:49Speaker 1: did that come from? Okay? But let me ask you this.
- 42:51Speaker 1: If she took the hundred and thirty and deposited and
- 42:54Speaker 1: used it, should she not be saying anything? Right now? Well,
- 42:59Speaker 1: that's what it was four and that's what the agreement
- 43:02Speaker 1: was for. Right It's an d A. It's a settlement
- 43:08Speaker 1: that you're supposed to honor that talking though, she came
- 43:12Speaker 1: out here and that's a opportunity for her to make
- 43:14Speaker 1: millions book deal, rights to this, rights to that, But
- 43:18Speaker 1: she can't do that because she's blocked. But now you know,
- 43:23Speaker 1: but then that's why they're suing her. Trump's team is
- 43:26Speaker 1: going to sue her for twenty millions. All right, nephew,
- 43:29Speaker 1: tell me is up next with a prank phone call?
- 43:31Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 43:36Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 43:38Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's today's Strawberry Letter. These subjects situation ship.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Check it out. Now. Then they were very slowly okay,
- 43:52Speaker 1: out situation ship at the office. But I'm next. The
- 44:04Speaker 1: nephew is here. He's here with the prank phone call you, Shirley. Okay,
- 44:10Speaker 1: I gotta run this again. You know I did a
- 44:12Speaker 1: new prank call Black Church Quez where the white guy
- 44:16Speaker 1: had joined the church. Yea, yeah, you know we played
- 44:19Speaker 1: a Friday I got Oh my god, Black Church Queens, Heidie.
- 44:27Speaker 1: This is Grant, Grant, Um, Grant Stevens. Right, Yes, this
- 44:32Speaker 1: is brother Lewis Finnley. I'm calling from my side and
- 44:36Speaker 1: mission there Baptist Church. You you and your wife just
- 44:39Speaker 1: joined a couple of weeks ago, am I right? Absolutely? Yes? Okay,
- 44:44Speaker 1: So now listen, um, I wanted to reach out to you.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I know you guys have started the uh the orientation,
- 44:52Speaker 1: and from my understanding you you finished one one class
- 44:55Speaker 1: of the orientation. You've got three more to go with that, right, yes?
- 44:59Speaker 1: All right, alright, alright, So first of all, I want
- 45:01Speaker 1: to say welcome to other side night, and and I
- 45:05Speaker 1: hope you are enjoying yourself. And I know that you
- 45:08Speaker 1: and your wife are a mixed couple. You your Caucasian
- 45:11Speaker 1: and she's she's black. Are you Are you liking the
- 45:15Speaker 1: church so far? Grant? Absolutely, we really are enjoying it.
- 45:20Speaker 1: We completed our first orientation and uh yeah, so far
- 45:24Speaker 1: we're really enjoying it. Okay, Okay, did I kept you
- 45:27Speaker 1: a bad time? I don't work right now, but it's okay.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I've got a couple of I've got a couple of minutes, Okay, Okay.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I just wanted to call you, man. I was worried
- 45:35Speaker 1: I know you because I don't think you noticed, but
- 45:37Speaker 1: you are the first Caucasian to join our church, and
- 45:42Speaker 1: I just want to make sure you kind of knew,
- 45:45Speaker 1: uh the language, and and just just kind of knowing
- 45:49Speaker 1: what the Black Church is all about. And there's certain
- 45:51Speaker 1: sands and different things I think you should know, so
- 45:54Speaker 1: that uh you know, I just don't want you to
- 45:57Speaker 1: say that the wrong thing while you at the churches,
- 45:59Speaker 1: that makes sense, Uh okay, okay. So so what I
- 46:03Speaker 1: wanted to do, like I wanted to give you a
- 46:05Speaker 1: little Black Church quiz so you can kind of maybe
- 46:10Speaker 1: if you could let me know where you are. You know,
- 46:13Speaker 1: if you want a lower level or a high level.
- 46:15Speaker 1: It's for being knowledgeable about the Black Church, like still
- 46:19Speaker 1: this blank in for me, grant And if you don't matter,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I just want to take a libity of time, and
- 46:23Speaker 1: I let you get back to work. But first of all,
- 46:26Speaker 1: give a blank to God. What what we're what we're
- 46:31Speaker 1: going in that blank right there? First of all, give

- 48:07Speaker 1: pastor even know that you're calling you right now? Well? No,
- 48:11Speaker 1: I took the livery of myself when I realized you
- 48:13Speaker 1: was Caucasian, that I would call and try to help

- 49:13Speaker 1: Do you think maybe it's possible that you can have
- 49:17Speaker 1: some testions before you come back to the church and
- 49:20Speaker 1: I can prepare you more. Hey man, let's listen. You
- 49:24Speaker 1: have caught me at a really bad time, and I'm quiet, honestly,
- 49:27Speaker 1: just so frustrated. Like I've never heard of a quiz
- 49:30Speaker 1: like this. I'm really offended. And you also to be like,
- 49:33Speaker 1: do you guys not want me to go to your
- 49:35Speaker 1: church anymore? Like a matter of fact, dude, you should
- 49:38Speaker 1: be calling my wife right now. She's black, but she
- 49:41Speaker 1: should already know the question. You're the one don't know
- 49:44Speaker 1: who I'm gonna call. I should call you. I am
- 49:47Speaker 1: at work right now. I have a meeting to get
- 49:49Speaker 1: to in just a minute. I don't know what you're doing,
- 49:52Speaker 1: and I hold on a second. I have got to
- 49:55Speaker 1: close my office store. This is so embarrassing. I have
- 49:58Speaker 1: never ever see the phone call like this in my life,
- 50:02Speaker 1: and you better be lucky. I mean, I want to
- 50:04Speaker 1: talk to your pastor. I am going to talk to
- 50:06Speaker 1: him next Sunday. No joke. Why didn't mean for you
- 50:09Speaker 1: to get hotstyle like that. I didn't mean you. I
- 50:12Speaker 1: don't mean to upset you and nothing like that. What
- 50:14Speaker 1: can I can? I can I say something else? Tell
- 50:16Speaker 1: you one last thing and I have to go. Okay,

- 51:03Speaker 1: look at do this from me? Tell me what is
- 51:05Speaker 1: the baddest I mean, the baddest radio show in the land,
- 51:09Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show all the way? Was I
- 51:14Speaker 1: wrong for that? Yes, he's gonna go to a black
- 51:19Speaker 1: church needs. You need to know what this stuff. White
- 51:21Speaker 1: folks need to know if you're gonna join a black church.
- 51:24Speaker 1: You got to come on, you got you got you right.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Timing absolutely, but he tried to hoop a little bit
- 51:30Speaker 1: at the end. I was trying to some things Black
- 51:35Speaker 1: people need to know if they're gonna join the white
- 51:37Speaker 1: Absolutely right, that's true. Coming here with all that, we
- 51:41Speaker 1: don't do that and what yeah, running around the church
- 51:47Speaker 1: and you don't feel anything start that. You never even

- 52:57Speaker 1: and you need advice, please admit your letters. Is it

- 53:07Speaker 1: and I could be reading your letter on the air
- 53:08Speaker 1: just like today. Bugalab and hold on tied. We got
- 53:12Speaker 1: it for you here. It is the stroll very Letter. Alright,
- 53:18Speaker 1: subject situation ship at the office. There's Stephen Shirley, my coworker,
- 53:27Speaker 1: and I have developed feelings for each other. The problem
- 53:32Speaker 1: is he is already in a situation ship with another coworker.
- 53:37Speaker 1: They've been together for more than four years, and he
- 53:39Speaker 1: says they're not sexually involved, but they spend a lot
- 53:42Speaker 1: of time with each other. He doesn't call it a
- 53:45Speaker 1: relationship anymore because he says he feels trapped by this woman.
- 53:49Speaker 1: He says he doesn't see the situation ship going anywhere,
- 53:52Speaker 1: and he has no plans to marry her. He told
- 53:55Speaker 1: me that he won't let her go completely because he
- 53:58Speaker 1: knows it will crush her. She knows that he and
- 54:01Speaker 1: I are really close, and she suspects that we have
- 54:03Speaker 1: feelings for each other. When she asked him about us,
- 54:07Speaker 1: he denied everything. He honestly has a big heart and
- 54:11Speaker 1: he is torn. He um, this is the first time
- 54:15Speaker 1: I've fallen for someone this hard, and I want him
- 54:18Speaker 1: all to myself. But I would never wish heartbreak on
- 54:21Speaker 1: another woman, so I'm being patient. Sometimes I wish I
- 54:25Speaker 1: had never gotten involved with him so I wouldn't be
- 54:28Speaker 1: in this dilemma. He has basically told me he is
- 54:31Speaker 1: not going to end things with her anytime soon. So
- 54:35Speaker 1: what should I do? Please help leave him and let
- 54:39Speaker 1: him go. Okay, honey, he's lying to you. He's lying
- 54:43Speaker 1: to her. The only one benefiting in this situation, ship
- 54:47Speaker 1: as you call it, is him. Okay, He's getting the
- 54:50Speaker 1: both of both worlds, the best of both worlds. He's
- 54:52Speaker 1: the office player, and he wants to keep you both.
- 54:55Speaker 1: He's telling you he's not sleeping with her, but listen,
- 54:59Speaker 1: he is. I mean, it's been more than four years.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Come on, That's why he won't let her go. He
- 55:03Speaker 1: says he doesn't want to crush her, but it's more
- 55:05Speaker 1: than that. He's been with her all this time. When
- 55:08Speaker 1: she asked him about you, guess what, he denied everything.
- 55:12Speaker 1: So this situation. Ship you're in with him doesn't mean
- 55:15Speaker 1: a thing to him. He didn't acknowledge you, he didn't
- 55:18Speaker 1: claim you. He lied again. But listen this last line,
- 55:23Speaker 1: very last line in the letter. He has basically told
- 55:25Speaker 1: me he's not going to end things with her anytime soon.
- 55:29Speaker 1: That line is the truth right there, and you need
- 55:32Speaker 1: to listen to that. But you're not listening. He said
- 55:35Speaker 1: he's not going to end things with her anytime soon.
- 55:37Speaker 1: You got to hear what he's sang to you. Okay,
- 55:40Speaker 1: you gotta hear that. That's your answer right there, Steve,
- 55:44Speaker 1: perfect Shrilly, I don't even have to respond. Really, I
- 55:47Speaker 1: could just let it go. That's perfect. Yeah, I mean really,
- 55:53Speaker 1: we could end this letter right now. But sometimes people
- 55:56Speaker 1: need to hear it a little more harsh almost, See,
- 56:01Speaker 1: I'm a little bit more harsh a lot of people.
- 56:04Speaker 1: You know, Shelly, everything she touched on, all the points,
- 56:07Speaker 1: she didn't miss nothing. They've been in a relationship for
- 56:12Speaker 1: four years. He he says, they're not sexually involved. What
- 56:19Speaker 1: the hell? You know? Been with somebody four years? What?
- 56:26Speaker 1: Man and decided he don't want the most sex m
- 56:31Speaker 1: So he just in a sexless relationship from more than
- 56:36Speaker 1: four years. That's what he's telling you. Oh excuse me,
- 56:40Speaker 1: was in a sexist relationship until you came along. Now,
- 56:45Speaker 1: what you didn't type in this letter is you just
- 56:47Speaker 1: type y'all involved, y'all have him sex. That's what it is.
- 56:53Speaker 1: He doesn't call it a relationship anymore because he says
- 56:56Speaker 1: he feels trapped by this woman. Trapped if you ain't
- 57:01Speaker 1: married and you don't live with how you're trapped. He
- 57:06Speaker 1: ain't trapped. He whipped, quipped, can appear to be trapped
- 57:13Speaker 1: at times. She then put something on him. Now he
- 57:19Speaker 1: can't leave. Now he's telling you he trapped. He ain't trapped,
- 57:23Speaker 1: he whipped, and they still having sex anytime. You ain't
- 57:27Speaker 1: having sex with him, he having sex with her. Shirley,
- 57:31Speaker 1: it's Shirley said right. It's the office player, and you
- 57:34Speaker 1: have failed forward. He says he doesn't see the situation
- 57:38Speaker 1: going anywhere, and he has no plans to marry her.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Why would he marry her when he the office player? No,
- 57:45Speaker 1: he don't see the situation going nowhere. But she ain't
- 57:47Speaker 1: going nowhere either, And he tells you that later on
- 57:51Speaker 1: in the damn letter. I think you wrote this letter,
- 57:55Speaker 1: not cause you confused, But I think you slow. I think,
- 58:03Speaker 1: oh my god, you almost maybe. Yeah, I think that's
- 58:11Speaker 1: what he told me, that he won't let her go
- 58:15Speaker 1: completely because he knows it a crush you. So let
- 58:18Speaker 1: me ask you this, How do you hang on to
- 58:21Speaker 1: a woman just a little bit? Well, let me tell
- 58:24Speaker 1: you how players hang on to women just a little
- 58:27Speaker 1: bit with a little bit of hope, as in promise
- 58:32Speaker 1: you this could be something. So you buy time? How
- 58:36Speaker 1: else do you how else do you uh keep her?
- 58:41Speaker 1: What's what's the line? He used? Uh? He said he
- 58:45Speaker 1: just won't let her go completely. So now instead of
- 58:51Speaker 1: having sex with her all the time, he had bought
- 58:54Speaker 1: you in the picture. So now he just occasionally having
- 58:59Speaker 1: sex with her. See so now that's what he means.
- 59:03Speaker 1: But he can't completely let her go. He he can't
- 59:07Speaker 1: completely let her go because he whipped. Oh he may
- 59:13Speaker 1: even have thoughts of letting her go, but he can't
- 59:16Speaker 1: let her completely go because he whipped. This is the
- 59:20Speaker 1: part she needs to come to. She knows that he
- 59:24Speaker 1: and now are really cold close, and she suspects that
- 59:28Speaker 1: we have feelings for each other. Okay, she know y'all
- 59:32Speaker 1: really close, and she suspects y'all have feelings for each other?
- 59:37Speaker 1: What's stopping her from knowing? All this? Just asked me
- 59:45Speaker 1: that tell me what the hell? She knows? He and
- 59:49Speaker 1: I are really close, and she suspects we have feelings
- 59:53Speaker 1: for what's stopping her for knowing? For damn show, you
- 59:56Speaker 1: want me to tell you what it is? He telling her,
- 59:59Speaker 1: ain't no with y'all. Yeah, exactly, telling her that it
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: ain't what it looked like. I know what you're thinking,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: but that ain't what it is. We just worked close together.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: We're cool like that. We're just friends. That's how. Then,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: she says, when she asked him about us, he denied
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: everything be damn, he don't even know your ass is
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: over it? All the type skirts you, the water work,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: all that section to have with him on lunch and
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: all listening. He don't even know your reality. You're listening
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's get
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: to part two of today's Strawberry Letters Situationship. Yeah, she
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: got this man. She didn't fail forward her job. He
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: build in relationship with another coworker for four years, talking
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: about he ain't happy he trapped by this woman. He
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: told me he won't let her go completely because if
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: she know it a crush r he can't let her
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: go because he will. That's what you're seeing right here.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: We know all being wooed before she knows that he
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: and I are really closer. She suspects we have feeling
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: for each other. Suspect what hell? He suspects? What you
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: suspect when you're gonna know something? But I told you
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: she slow, so we gotta bad with her. When she
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: asked him about us, he denied everything. They don't know
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: your ain't They're not gonna re enact this in a minute,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: but let me finish this frost. He honestly has a
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: big heart, and he is told, Oh, he's so hurt
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: about you. I can't see me get to you. But
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: she got me trapped as soon as I can get
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: myself because I don't want to hurt him, you know,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: just like I don't want to hurt you. I'm torn
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: between two lovers and I can't get out. So what
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: he needs a medic alert badge around his damn that
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: help our fallen and can't get up? This ass is lyne.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I would never wish heartbreak on another woman, but you're
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: doing stuff that can cause hard. You're just like the
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: woman that was on seeing and the playboy bunny that
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: was sleeping with the president. I would never want anybody
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to do that to me. I'm so sorry, I'm hurt. Well,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you've been in the health of house. Sometimes. I wish
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: I had never gotten involved with him, so I wouldn't
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: be in this dilemma. But you did. He has basically
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: told me he's not going to end things with her
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: any time soon. So what should I do? Please help
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: stay down and continue being the victim, and remain in
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: this dilemma and keep looking up the hall way and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: just that he's been sleeping with it for years and
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: now sleeping with you. He told you ain't going No damn,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: stay down, don't do nothing, live with it, deal with it.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Be strong, girl, don't let her run you offer being
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: number two. You're locked in a number two girls, you
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: better hold your ground. You're gonna set up here and
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: let No. Number one make you feel no, make you
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: feel uncomfortable about being sackered. Still still, you got to
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: be number two now, Shirley. But baby, she listened to me,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I don't even know Stanley. You do know her because
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: we're all in the same office. Baby, just because we're
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: in the same office. How that look how I'm gonna
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: see her and you see, y'all we're on the same float. Yeah,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I see how you'll be looking at her when she'd
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: be going to the water fountain. Did that's because that's
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: because I'll be looking over there, so a lot of
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: water don't get on the floor because I slipped over
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: that one time. Fix it, Stanley, fix it? And did
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: you tell her about us? Stanley? I didn't have to
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: tell her. I know she had asked you about who
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I was. Yes, she asked me, and I told her
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: that I loved you. Well d she suspected anything anything?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Stanley Shell, which one issue? I'm the one who wrote
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: the letter. See, I've been playing you as my chick.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: You don't know, yes to be the chick to want
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: me to write the letter? Okay, cool, Well, if you
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: want to be the one wrote the letter, let's go

- 1:05:03Speaker 1: anything about me? Does she ask you anything about me?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Stan Yeah? Yeah, yeah. And I'm trying not to hurt him.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I told her how I feel about you. But Stanley,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: will you tell her you don't know anything about me?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Then that hurts me? Stanley? Well, baby, if I tell
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: her everything, she gonna kill herself. She's already said she'll
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: step out on the fire came jump her ass home.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: What Stanley, I don't want to want what you want
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: me to do? Kill somebody? No, I don't want that.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I can't go to jail over there. I don't want
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: you to go to jail, Stanley, because I don't like
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: her the other women. Baby, that's why you got to
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: be quiet, because you got to listen to me. Listen
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to me. Don't say you don't want me to say nothing? Stanley? Hell, no, girl,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: you trying to She trying to bump you out your spot?
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: What Stanley? Are you? Are you gonna leave her? Leave her?

- 1:06:03Speaker 1: on if I leave Stanley, I don't like hurt any

- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. Coming up next, It is the side piece
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: chronic with the boys. That's Jay, that's Junior, that's Tommy,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: that's Steve. We'll be back. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, boy, it was so compelling
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Stormy Daniel's interview last night with Anderson Cooper on sixty minutes.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Learned a lot from that interview, but we are here
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: to learn even more from the fellas. This is this
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: is bad chronicles. The number two should never be on
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: the front news. This is bad. This is she was
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: sixty minutes. What you work in an industry where condom
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: uses is an issue? Did did he use a condom?
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Did you ask him to? She told she said, never
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: used the condom? Yeah, he didn't like those things. Huh
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Is this a crisis? Guys here? You guys all look
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: so worried. Right I'm not even innocent. I'm nervous. Three
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: number two last night and let them know. Don't you
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: do that? What did you? You let them know? What?
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: You don't do? Nothing like this. This is not, you know,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: a model for you to be looking after. Right here,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: This is not what you do. Number twos. Be quiet,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: you know she had nothing to lose. What would have
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: been nice if the cable company would have fixed it.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: So number twos couldn't even see this number I can't
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: get on my TV. You know what the interview does, ja?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: It gives number two is too much courage to test.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Here's the problem. Come on, she's not a number two.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: She was just something to do. He gave a hush money. Na,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: she and the news. The number two was the playboy girl. Oh,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Karen mcduga. That was an ongoing meet me three four
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: times a month, flying places, coming to the apartment. That
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: all that that that's a number two. Stormy ain't a
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: number two? You know what? Do you want to be educated? Yeah? See,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: first of all, let me say this, porn stars can't
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: have numbers. No, what do you mean you're a number?
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: You are right? They can't be numbers because they give
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: out numbers. You may be number eight this week, you
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: could be number twelve this week. I mean, I ain't
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: gonna be no damn right there, But I'm not. But
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I'm out. Well, you won't be in the adult filmmaking business.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: She's good. You won't even know where you are. But
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I ain't even now though you want to be first,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I want to three, but I ain't gonna be no,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: damn twel Okay, no, I say I'm not. I'm not.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: It's wait a minute, they're rules to this number you are.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I don't know, but I don't know, man, want to
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: be no, damn well you know what, paun Stop don't
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: ask what number you are because you'll be hurt. You
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: don't Yeah, what what number? Don't? I don't have you
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: you you can begin with the high end, the minimum
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: number twelve and we're not a single ditch. You need
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: to Hanley O business and don't be asking to do
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: your job and tell your daddy I said, do what
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: you paid it, and don't believe out of that, don't believe.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Then she said, all right, here's the question. Here's the question.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Question seriously serious, Why would you be be with a
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: porn star in the first place? Nobody wants to answer. Yeah.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Afterwards and before, there's not a whole lot of talking.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna you paid this, we do this.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I'm gone. Yeah. But also, Jake, you're about to do
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: something you ain't never ever done, Thank you very much.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: You're about to do something being the guy that guy
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: you've been if you would be a PA, you ain't
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: done none of this before now. No, no, you're not.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: But it's about to be good. That's gone. This is
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: a sex it's gonna be done without attitude because you
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: don't say, here's the money, hold the attitude. Come on
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: crawling with your question. Okay, so good. Let me ask
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you this question. So, if you've had dormy Daniel said,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: it wasn't a fair President Trump, that's not a mistress.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: That's not number two. If he was married, No, no, no,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: there was no See first of all, they don't have
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: text messages and all of that. There's no ongoing communication.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: But you know a number two has significance and relevance. Yes,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: oh my god, boy, I asked question. So it's not
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the pawn start. She wasn't relevant or real to him.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: It was just something to do. Yeah, I mean, look,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: it's like look a look, you know y'all y'all tripping.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Listen to me this dude. No, I want you all
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: to understand it. In the world he operates in these
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: billionaire boys, this is normal what y'all talking about? Now,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: it's not normal for pawn stars. That's not normal. Most
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: cats would on a more graduated, elevated level playmates Playboy Bunnies. Yeah,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: you know, he that's what. But that's been his world.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: They don't know what the number two this dude, listen
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: to me was on the cover Playboy. He owned the
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Miss Universe paget. Why would you be a billionaire and
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: buy that? Why would you buy that and your Playboy?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Because Jack Pott, you get to be around some of
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: the most beautiful women around the world. Okay, all right,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: here's another question. Don't get it. Go ahead. I'm not
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: understanding why they weren't in a fair relationship. It was
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: just doing it calling that's it. It was just doing
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: it anytime one, two and then just doing it. I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: don't like it when people don't understand it. But okay, okay, listen.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: The Playboy bunny they went to functions. They would go
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: out to dinners, go to farm that's number two. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: The porn starle not going to events. Okay, you can't
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: run the risk of running into nobody. That no hook.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more of the show.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: we're continuing our discussion on the side piece chronicles. This
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: is interesting though, Yeah, Steve you're you were breaking down
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: the difference between a porn star and a higher grade
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I guess of like a playboy playmate or something like that.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Or you know the women, the kinds of women that
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: these billionaires and the billionaires and these really powerful men.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: And I listen to me, this is not all billionaires,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: these are not all powers. But if you're playboy type dude,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: then that's this is how the game goes. You're gonna
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: have a number two that you can take places to
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: be seen. It. It's like Mob rules. All mob had
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: a wife and a girlfriend. Yeah. Yeah, Saturday night was
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: the wives night out. Friday night was the girl's night here.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Come on, good fellows, come on. I mean, that's how.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: That's how it's done. It's a system that's been going
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: on system for a long time. This this has some
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: way as how it's done. Sure number two still though
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: she's not black women? Is that what your mother? I mean?
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: But it's happening to black women. You just don't know what,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: but it happened. If you listen to me, if you
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: get into that big boy league, they have rules established
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: on how it's done, and they teach you to the
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: catch that's coming up. Into the big boy league. That's
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: all it is. Now, that's not everybody, and that's not
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: a large percentage of everybody, but the ones that's doing it,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: they have a way of getting away with and we
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: do I mean, and they do it well and they Yeah, Steve,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you. Now, you know, this is
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: dominating the Stormy Daniels Donald Trump uh story. This is
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: dominating the news from sixty minutes. Yeah, from sixty minutes
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: and everywhere, I mean, everybody's talking about it. It reminds
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: me of when Bill Clinton was in office in the
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: whole Monica Lewinsky situation. What is the difference or is
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: there a difference between It's a huge difference. First of all,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Donald Trump was not president at the time, and they
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: didn't pay the money until before the campaign got started.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: This was like years ago. He wasn't the president. Number one,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Donald Trump has released no statements concerning right. Bill Clinton
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: was the president, was the sitting president, and sad, I
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: did not have sexual relationships with that woman. He said
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: it in front of the Judiciary Committee when they asked
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: him about it. Now, cool noo. Now that's a difference.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Now both of them married. True, Now legally, it created
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: a problem for Bill Clinton. This right now, what they're
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: trying to do the Trump has turned it into a
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: legal situation. But as long as Trump be quiet, he
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: ain't got no legal situation. He kee, but he gonna
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: be quiet on this way. There's enough noise going on
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: at the house. He can't be tweeting. He ain't. Now,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: let me tell you something. He reckless. The man ain't stupid.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: The man ain't stupid. He ain't gonna make no comment
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: about this now. One thing about it. He's the wrong president.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: He makes some crazy statement, but as a player, he
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: know the rules. So so that's the difference you're saying
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: between President Clinton at the time and um Donald Trump
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: now absolutely the president. He perjured himself. He lied in
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: front of the man. That's the difference. And it was
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: in the White House. See that they think they act
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: like that White House is like the mosque, or is
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: the a Buddhist temple, or it's or it is the Mecca,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: or it's uhk it ain't. It ain't, man, it ain't.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: They listened to me. The clue klux Klan has been
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: in that White House swearing in President Mm hmm. That's
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: a fact, huh, racism exists in that White House. That's
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: a fact. Things are done and said in the walls
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: of that White House that would shock the average person.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: That's what that is. It's not it's not this sacred place.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: It's not. We really need a lot of senor debauchery
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: go down and now that might well be in Put
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: the White House in Vegas. Put it right down the way.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: The act that need to be in vacant. Say something
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: to the number twos. Man, don't let this affect him.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Please say something to them. I don't want I don't
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: want them to build down on it. I can't I
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: can't speak speak to the two. Anybody can speak to
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: the twos. It's you hold on one side, anybody, Okay, okay,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: big dog, can we like doing saying and so? Okay?
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: And pump to Connor. Can we have a resort for
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: the number Two's that way? Hey, hey, these people are
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: having a good time and just for couples. No, thank you,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: hell no. If you want it's a good way to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: put them in one place. I mean all the number
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: two tell you how you listening to me? Why don't
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you In time of y'all got plenty of money between.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Why don't y'all slime over there and put them up
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: in the room together. I'm in the hotels. You have,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Steve for the understanding, though, really I got two hotels.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: Put them in one. Come on, no, I'll tell you
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: what they for regular people. Y'all put them in more.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: But when you put them over there, tell them what
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: they over the fault, tell them why they ain't over
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: the other. One changed? And yeah, I'm right I changed. Listen,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of this crazy in your
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: show right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Morning Show. Hey, we talked about this earlier. There's a
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: new generation guys, new generation of activists, including nine year
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: old Yalanda Renee King. Who is she? You might hear
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: the last name and think, oh, is this the relative
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: of the Kings? Will you will be exactly right. She's
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: a granddaughter of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: And Coretta Scott King. Little Yalanda is the daughter of
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Martin Luther King the third. Yolanda stood alongside Jacqueline Corrin,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: a seventeen year old student who survived the shooting at
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Stoneman Douglas, Florida. High school. And she spoke, take a Listenne,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: granddaughter of Martin or Kin. My grandfather had a dream
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: that his four little children will not be judged by
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: the color their skin, but by the continent of their character.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Dream Landa spoke about a great generation. And this young
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: lady is following in her grandfather's footsteps advocating for change
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: and peace. Wow at nine years old. Yeah, yeah, we
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: gotta keep a watch on her, keep an eye, Landa
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Renee King. Do these kids make you feel in any
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: way that you failed Joe children? Yeah, we were. We
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: have failed ourselves as humans. Yeah, yeah, yeah they do.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: They're so bright, they're so articulate. I'm so passionate doing
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: it all inside and Jack come front easy with my sister,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: just baking cookies. And I was making clothes for my
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: dolls and combing their hair and doing all the things. Yeah,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: I had a knock in my yo, yo, Jake. And
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: we're looking at what these kids are confronted with a
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: different times for sure. And this and this young lady,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Landa Rene King, she talked about you know see what
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: we talked about last week with my daughter with doing
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: lockdowns at school. She talked about dealing with that. So
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: that's what these fourth graders are dealing with. Like you said, Jay,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: this is what they're dealing with. This part of what
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: they're dealing with. And this is unbelievable compared to what
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: we dealt with. I mean, the biggest thing for me,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Bamba that was his name to bully taking my lunch money.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: That was it. And that was the biggest playing for you.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: That was what Yeah, me and Lana Cotton and Henry
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Ware was trying to figure out how to keep our
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: teacher from coming to schooling next day with this damn spelling.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: There was a plan, that's what we was going through. Yeah,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: school be the safest place. It's been the safest place.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: You can wait there all day for your mama to
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: come get you. Just wait there at the school. And
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: then Lee Brown came to school. It was trouble. I
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: had to take off work. Oh my god, school my
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: job for talking, talking talking. Now, my mama came to
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the school and all my years, twice did you get
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: your butt? Both times I didn't get a bud woman,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: I got damn there, Ni lady No seriously almost left
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: him there. I know my mom could not take off
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: work and come up to school. You see them to
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: nurse nurse shoes get up coming there, and she wasn't
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: a nurse. Listen, weren't even coming out clear, But what
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: I clearly I was saying, he down here, all right,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: coming up, we're gonna talk about Sister Jean and the
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Final Four. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: we talked about this earlier. Uh well, everyone's favorite nun
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: is heading to the Final Four. The Loyola basketball team
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: chaplain year old Sister Jean Dolores Smith a k A.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Sister Jean. They just call her Sister Jean and the
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Loyola Chicago Ramblers will be heading to San Antonio to
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: take on the Michigan Wolverines. Them boys is getting it here,
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: Yes they are. And I'm that balling hard. They're trying
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: to let him have I do like a little small
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: you know, I don't know basketball, but I know this
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: is happening. The Lady Gamecocks Columbia South Carolina in the
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Final eight about to go to the phone for again
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: after winning it last year year. Yeah. Yeah, that's big,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: that's real big. And that's all I know now, So
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: don't we don't know I'm gonna say who's on the bench,
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: and I don't I don't know that, Okay, you know,
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: to give a shout, I'm giving a shout out. I
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: was gonna ask you, guys, what did you think of
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: sister that's the Nune, that's yeah, and she's very inspirational
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: to I know, more famous none than her though my
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: first wife. You can't get none. You ain't see none.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: Your first wife was none. I didn't get none. I
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: ain't talk about none. But she's supposed to be the
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: what is the mascot of the team, and she's very
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: I mean she's raised a shark for ninety eight. Yeah,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: I'm going like, wow, man, this woman is speaking, she's
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: clear coherent, she knows all talk about San Antonio. But
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Tim Boys is getting it done. Man, Goola. You know
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: that's a school you go to when you get picked
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: to go to the big the bigger schools, and you know,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: you know you didn't quite get the big great point,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: the great pointys held you back. You know why you
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: going down? You know, just it's something close to your heart.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: I know what it's like to get in badly. All right,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: So now all kinds of teams want Sister Jean to
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: come to their city and visit them. Atlanta Falcons won
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: her Carolina Panthers, and um, she might even have a
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: date with Charles Berkeley because he said if Loyola made
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: it to the final four, he would take Sister Jean
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: out on a date. Wow, I guess she need to
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: be if she's going to save teams. Hid the hell
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: on the Cleveland Brown? I knew it didn't call her.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: They needed to be first, say bro, And how the
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: hell Barkley gonna understand the depth of this lady's language. Really,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: I'll be talking all over Barkley's. Me and Charles talk
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: real good. When we together, we'll be right there, same vocabinet.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: So do you guys have like a good luck person
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: per se or a person? Yeah? I do? Yeah, I
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: was doing my bad damn right we all do? We
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: all go to that's my go to rubbed these chicks
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: every week? Are you kidding? Thank you think you're a
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: very brother, Steve and Sister you're not, man, I'm telling me.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: So we all agree on this. Showers Harvey coming up.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey will have closing remarks at forty nine. After
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey show Blast break Up.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: The day been a pretty good day, interesting day, and Steve,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: your closing remarks are back. We love them. What do
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: you have for us today, Steve? All right here here
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: it is for today. This is a really uplifting one.
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: I just want to talk to you for a minute
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: about dreams, because everybody has them. But dreams are so
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: so important man, because there's a scripture that says something
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: to the effect that a man without a dream or
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: vision shall perish. A man without a dream or vision
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: shall perish. So I mean just everybody has to dream,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: and everybody has to envision something. It is the thing
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: that pushes us forward. It's one of the most important
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: motivating factors in your life today. The hope that things
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: will change from you, change for you from what they are. Now,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: that's what it is. You dream of one day owning
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: a business. You dream of one day of climbing the
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: corporate letter. You dream of one day becoming an attorney.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: You dream of one day of being a superviovor, you
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: dream of one day driving a certain car. You dream
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: of one day owning the house of your dreams. You
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: dream about traveling around the world. You dream about the
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: man or the woman of your dreams. You dream about
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: the family you've always wanted. You dream about being happy,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: You dream about being successful. You envision yourself with a
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: lifestyle uh that you've always wondered about, and seeing other
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: people living. You envision yourself somewhere else other than where
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: you are. Everybody feels the those things, man, But let
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: me explain something to you. As motivating as that is,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: as motivating as dreams and visions are. Dreams don't work
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: unless you do. Get me now, Dreams don't work unless
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: you do. I was reading a book by Michael Straighthand.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Michael straighthand has got a book out call or Wake
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: Up Happy, And one of the subtitles on one of
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: his chapters is that too, that dreams don't work unless
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: you do. I am telling you, man, that that is
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: such a true statement. Nothing comes to a dreamer but
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: a dream unless you work. Dreams don't work unless you do.
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: Nothing comes to a dream about a dream unless you work. Man,
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: You've got to put forth a serious effort to make
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: your dreams come true or the things you envision come
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: to fruition. You've got to put forth a massive all
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: out of salt on it, and why not what else
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: you got to do? I would rather be working on
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: my dreams and visions than to be sitting there watching
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: my life go by day after day after day after
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: day and doing nothing about it. Even an inmate that's
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: incarcerated can get in a program to take his mind
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: outside the walls to further uh and better himself. So
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: in the event that he does get out, he least
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: comes out with something that they can't take from him,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: which is knowledge. How is it that those of us
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: that are free don't have enough sense to try to
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: do something to better ourselves, our position, or our plight
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: in life? Oh man, you've got to be kidding me.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: All you got to do is dream. But dreams don't
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: work unless you do. Now. Look, it's not easy to
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: make your dreams come true. It's really not. I'll tell
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: you that. But I'll tell you what'sn't that's not easy
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: to do. But I'll tell you what's harder than do that,
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: be nothing, Because I have been both. I have worked
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: so hard to make my dreams come true, and I've
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: sat around being nothing. And I got news for you.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: Sitting around being nothing is hard, man, It's so restrictive.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Even if you think or something, you can't do that.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: You can't go to stone and get an ice cream
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: because you have sat around and decided to be nothing.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: And how do you become nothing by doing nothing? It's
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: hard being nothing, man. Now, let me tell you something.
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: On your way to your dreams, you're gonna hurt. You're
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: gonna hurt along the way. You're gonna have some regrets. Man,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: I should have stayed on my job by set up
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: here and jump trying to start this business. I had
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: a job to keep a steady income coming in. You
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: may have some re regrets one day, you may even
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: consider in quitting one day, But don't you do it,
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: because the moment you stop working on your dreams, your
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: dreams stopped becoming true. Dreams don't work unless you do.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: If you work as hard on your dreams as you
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: do on your job, can you do you imagine what
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you have? Can you possibly imagine what you be? That's
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: what I always you say to myself, Why am I
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: working this hard for somebody else when I can work
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: this hard for me? Now, I'm not knocking a job.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: That's not what I'm saying. Because sometimes you got your
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: dream job. Sometimes you got the job of your dreams.
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: I applaud you. I'm just talking about your dreams, though.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: If you dream of something other and more than that,
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: when you're gonna go Now, if you got your dream job,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: clap clap. And now millions of people who are working
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: their dream job, or they're working a job that can
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: get them to their dream. So this is not an
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: anti working statement. This is just about what it takes
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: to make your dreams come true. A man without a
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: dream or visions your parents. I have one simple philosophy
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: in my life, Steve, Why you work so hard while
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: you got so many shows? Why are you always doing this?
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: My philosophy is very simple. I spend all my time
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: building my dreams so when I get some time, I
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: can live my dreams. I've always dreamed of traveling around
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: the world, going to places. I've always dreamed of being
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: relevant to somebody. I've always dreamed of being important to
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: my children. That's why I works so hard. Those are
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: my dreams and visions. What are yours? Dust them off,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: and remember, dreams don't work unless you do. You did.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: It's my clothes remarks for today. Y'all have a great weekend.
