- 2:05Speaker 2: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 2: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Oh man, oh man? How many times I got to
- 2:16Speaker 2: say that before I get tired of it. I think
- 2:20Speaker 2: it's gonna be a minute, folks. I gotta be real
- 2:22Speaker 2: with you, because, boy, that Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:25Speaker 2: show man. Clear indication of how God can do some unexpected,
- 2:33Speaker 2: wonderful things for you, How he leads your life in directions.
- 2:37Speaker 7: That you never ever saw coming.
- 2:39Speaker 6: You know.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I was talking with somebody the other day and they
- 2:42Speaker 2: were talking about how man, they were young, and they
- 2:45Speaker 2: were doing things, and they never knew that the things
- 2:48Speaker 2: that they were doing as a youngster would come and
- 2:53Speaker 2: help help form who they were today as an adult.
- 2:56Speaker 7: This guy is fifty years old.
- 2:58Speaker 2: And you know the thing for you, if you look
- 3:01Speaker 2: back on your life and all of the things that
- 3:04Speaker 2: you've done, it helped shape you into who you are now.
- 3:09Speaker 2: This is provided now that you take the positive approach.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Now when I say look back at your life and
- 3:15Speaker 2: see what you've done, that doesn't mean dwell on the
- 3:19Speaker 2: misfortunate moments. Because the misfortunate moments were necessary.
- 3:23Speaker 6: I know it.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's hard to see that when it's happening to you,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but the unfortunate moments are necessary. You know, what really
- 3:31Speaker 2: makes you appreciate summer vacation is winter work. What really
- 3:36Speaker 2: makes you appreciate a walk on the beach is when
- 3:39Speaker 2: it's cold is rained in our side. What really makes
- 3:43Speaker 2: you appreciate when you're up, it's because you've been down.
- 3:48Speaker 2: See if you were up all the time, just the
- 3:52Speaker 2: nature of us as human beings, we would lose our
- 3:54Speaker 2: appreciation for it because it becomes case arrah. Whatever it is, Well,
- 3:59Speaker 2: it is what it is. I'm just what what you
- 4:02Speaker 2: take it for? Granted, it becomes expected. But what happens
- 4:05Speaker 2: in life s is it has so many twisting turns
- 4:08Speaker 2: and then you learn how to deal with those twisting turns,
- 4:11Speaker 2: which makes you now a more experienced person. And then
- 4:15Speaker 2: when the sunny days come, man, you go, wow, it's
- 4:17Speaker 2: really nice outside. You really want to appreciate how warm weather.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Just stay in a bunch of cold weather all the time.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. I'm just this is really
- 4:26Speaker 2: simpler now, a lot of analogies, but it helps you
- 4:29Speaker 2: along the way. Now here's what I came to say
- 4:33Speaker 2: today to everybody out there. And this has helped me
- 4:36Speaker 2: in my life. I can't tell you what it's done
- 4:39Speaker 2: for me, but a lot of people are struggling with
- 4:44Speaker 2: moving forward with their future, their future plans, their future goals,
- 4:50Speaker 2: their future aspirations, their future hopes, their future dreams, just
- 4:56Speaker 2: simply your future wants. A lot of people trying to
- 5:00Speaker 2: have a hard time mapping out their future. Even what
- 5:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna do, what I'm gonna be, what I'm gonna make,
- 5:08Speaker 2: how I'm n go about it, What do I do next?
- 5:11Speaker 7: I want to share something with you that I had
- 5:13Speaker 7: to come to terms with. The quickest way.
- 5:16Speaker 2: To lose focus on your future is to keep focusing
- 5:21Speaker 2: on your past. You know, It's like I said at
- 5:23Speaker 2: the beginning, you know when I say it's wonderful to
- 5:26Speaker 2: look at your life and review it, because if you
- 5:29Speaker 2: look at it, it'll tell you it really helped shape
- 5:33Speaker 2: inform you today as the person you are now. If
- 5:37Speaker 2: you look at it in a positive sense. But if
- 5:40Speaker 2: you dwell in harp on the negative that's happened to you,
- 5:44Speaker 2: then that keeps you from seeing the good in the incident,
- 5:47Speaker 2: every bad thing that's happened to you, that was a
- 5:50Speaker 2: silver lining behind it.
- 5:52Speaker 7: I know people who were on.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Drugs who finally, man just got sent to prison for
- 5:57Speaker 2: stealing because of their habit. I know Cat sol Dope. Well,
- 6:01Speaker 2: he went to prison. He told me one time, he
- 6:04Speaker 2: says Steve. He said, man, this is the best thing
- 6:06Speaker 2: ever happened to me to save my life. Now, most
- 6:09Speaker 2: people would think, how in the world is going to
- 6:12Speaker 2: prison helpful for you? The brother said, it saved my life.
- 6:17Speaker 2: First of all, it got me clean. He said, I've
- 6:20Speaker 2: been clean for five years from sitting in here. That's
- 6:23Speaker 2: for starters. I'm clean. I ain't stealing no more. I
- 6:27Speaker 2: ain't putting myself in jeopardy, and I ain't jeopardizing nobody else.
- 6:30Speaker 7: He said. Now, man, I done.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Went to college I done got a college degree while
- 6:35Speaker 2: I'm in him. Then he was released from prison, and
- 6:39Speaker 2: the brother's life was completely turned around. He married, he
- 6:43Speaker 2: got a family, he got a great job. He go
- 6:46Speaker 2: to work every day. He's a productive citizen.
- 6:49Speaker 7: I mean.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So he looks back on his incarceration, even his drug abuse,
- 6:56Speaker 2: and it taught him how to appreciate the things in
- 6:59Speaker 2: life that he had taken for granted and was missing
- 7:01Speaker 2: because he said, man, my life was just in a blur.
- 7:04Speaker 7: I didn't even know what was going on. He said,
- 7:07Speaker 7: Now I appreciate every day I wake up. That's what
- 7:10Speaker 7: I mean.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Even in your missteps in life, there is a purpose
- 7:15Speaker 2: for the missteps.
- 7:16Speaker 7: Every time you fail, there was a reason for the failure.
- 7:20Speaker 2: See what I had to do was I had to
- 7:22Speaker 2: learn that all of my failures taught me how to
- 7:25Speaker 2: get back up. So I became a very strong and
- 7:29Speaker 2: tough person in getting back up. And then I was
- 7:32Speaker 2: down and out so long that it taught me how
- 7:35Speaker 2: to really appreciate that up. And so I've taken all
- 7:39Speaker 2: of that and used it those experiences that happened to me,
- 7:44Speaker 2: and I became a more experienced person. So next time,
- 7:47Speaker 2: when people talk about me who don't know me. It
- 7:50Speaker 2: don't shake me, cause everybody not gonna like you. Man,
- 7:54Speaker 2: you might as well go and get on this train
- 7:56Speaker 2: right now. And so what I'm saying to you out
- 7:59Speaker 2: there is the quickest way to lose focus on your
- 8:02Speaker 2: future is to keep focusing.
- 8:03Speaker 7: On your past. Let it go.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, he left. Sometimes the breakup is the blessing.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I know it's hard to break up because now you're
- 8:12Speaker 2: loaneling you by yourself. But man, but weren't you in
- 8:15Speaker 2: misery when you was in that? Weren't you in complete
- 8:19Speaker 2: misery in that? Now you kept asking God to fix it.
- 8:23Speaker 2: But it takes two people to fix a relationship. It
- 8:25Speaker 2: don't just take one. It take two to make a
- 8:29Speaker 2: thing go right. It take two to make it out
- 8:32Speaker 2: of sight. You really do have to have two people
- 8:36Speaker 2: wanting a relationship to work. It can't just be one
- 8:38Speaker 2: person want a relationship, So you can pray about the
- 8:41Speaker 2: relationship all you want. If the other person don't want
- 8:44Speaker 2: you no more, it ain't gonna act right. You can't
- 8:46Speaker 2: make him do that or you can't make her do that.
- 8:50Speaker 2: But you steady asking God for a new relationship. But
- 8:55Speaker 2: you are yet to be grateful that you are in
- 8:58Speaker 2: a position to have a relationship. And you keep harping
- 9:01Speaker 2: on the past.
- 9:02Speaker 7: You don't think you hear that. I'm just a dude
- 9:04Speaker 7: with a show and I hear it all the time.
- 9:07Speaker 7: Let it go go forward. It's over.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You made it, He bought you through it, you conquered,
- 9:15Speaker 2: you survived it. Why are you dwelling on it and
- 9:19Speaker 2: making it the cross around your neck when clearly he
- 9:22Speaker 2: had removed it for you. Now, all you got to
- 9:25Speaker 2: do is come on. So if you sit behind them walls,
- 9:28Speaker 2: brothers and sisters, I'm talking directly to you sometimes.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Man, you just got to get it right. All this
- 9:35Speaker 7: repeat of fender business, that's for?
- 9:37Speaker 9: Who is that for?
- 9:38Speaker 2: How ignorant can you be to keep giving your life
- 9:41Speaker 2: back to the penal system?
- 9:43Speaker 7: Be free, man, walk the streets, do the right thing.
- 9:46Speaker 7: Ask God to.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Help connect you. He could do anything. You think he
- 9:50Speaker 2: can't give you a job? Are you serious?
- 9:52Speaker 10: Man?
- 9:53Speaker 7: Put some faith on it. Let's move forward, y'all. Let
- 9:55Speaker 7: it go.

- 17:41Speaker 14: Own I'm taking care of who will tell you that.
- 17:45Speaker 6: I don't know exactly who submitted your name. All I
- 17:48Speaker 6: know is that that they said that you would be
- 17:50Speaker 6: good as far as taking care of the children and

- 18:28Speaker 6: How about that, ma'ama? I don't know. I'm not at
- 18:30Speaker 6: liberty to give out the names on who exactly submitted
- 18:33Speaker 6: your name.
- 18:34Speaker 14: I want the name of the black who told you
- 18:37Speaker 14: to bring some kids to my love at the kid's wife.
- 18:42Speaker 14: I want the name of the told you that.
- 18:45Speaker 5: That's what I want.
- 18:45Speaker 6: I remember, I don't have their names in front of me.
- 18:47Speaker 14: I don't told you to bring these two kids tomorrow.
- 18:52Speaker 6: Like I said, I don't know who told me that.
- 18:54Speaker 6: All I know is what schedule to drop them off
- 18:55Speaker 6: at ten o'clock tomorrow morning?
- 18:57Speaker 14: What tell of fifth they from there? So when you
- 19:00Speaker 14: come back to get them. I didn't sign up for

- 21:13Speaker 1: Go to dinner with him.
- 21:14Speaker 12: I let him pick me up only because I know
- 21:18Speaker 12: him well. He got to my house and his car
- 21:20Speaker 12: was filthy and it smelled like feet. I told him
- 21:23Speaker 12: how foul had smelled, and he suggested we go in
- 21:26Speaker 12: my car. I canceled the date and him all last
- 21:31Speaker 12: week he called me a goodie two shoes, and I
- 21:32Speaker 12: told him if his car was nasty, his house is
- 21:35Speaker 12: probably nasty too. I didn't need to add insult to injury,

- 21:42Speaker 2: Colo, Well, you know, if you feel like you should apologize,
- 21:46Speaker 2: you should.
- 21:46Speaker 7: What's it gonna hurt you?
- 21:47Speaker 2: But don't apologize at me and go out with him,
- 21:51Speaker 2: because chances are you're probably correct now she's calling you
- 21:55Speaker 2: Goodie two shoes.
- 21:56Speaker 7: That's because you like clean stuff. That makes you goodie too. Choose,
- 22:00Speaker 7: that's that's problem.
- 22:02Speaker 1: You don't want to be a steaky car that.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Is tried on and me saying well, let's go in
- 22:09Speaker 2: your car. I mean, if a man listen to this.
- 22:14Speaker 2: If a man is picking you up for the first time,
- 22:16Speaker 2: you expect him to just be on his best behavior, put.
- 22:19Speaker 1: His breast before trust me.
- 22:20Speaker 2: If he won't clean his car up and knowing he's
- 22:24Speaker 2: going on a date, okay, then what else is he
- 22:27Speaker 2: not willing to do?
- 22:29Speaker 15: Is true?
- 22:30Speaker 7: He been flirting with you?
- 22:31Speaker 2: Just leave it at that. Going about your business. You're
- 22:33Speaker 2: absolutely correct, it's more behind it. First of all, he
- 22:36Speaker 2: not trying to impress you. That's a problem. Let's take
- 22:39Speaker 2: your car, that's a problem. You goody to choose because
- 22:44Speaker 2: you like clean stuff.
- 22:46Speaker 7: That's a problem.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Listen, listen, I know I am all right.
- 22:52Speaker 6: Moving on.
- 22:53Speaker 12: Sebastian and Los Angeles says, I'm met a beautiful woman
- 22:56Speaker 12: and she's got a roommate that's beautiful too. The other
- 22:59Speaker 12: night they had a small dinner party and invited me.
- 23:02Speaker 12: There were several people there, but I was the only
- 23:05Speaker 12: guy they invited. I thought I was dating the lady
- 23:08Speaker 12: I met first, but her roommate was sitting in my lap.
- 23:11Speaker 1: And she even fixed a plate for me. I'm an
- 23:13Speaker 1: old school type of guy, So should I ask the
- 23:16Speaker 1: lady I met first if we're dating? I'm really four.
- 23:20Speaker 1: He's so confused.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I'm fifty four and she's thirty.
- 23:23Speaker 1: So I need your help.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you probably need to go in and ask. Just say,
- 23:30Speaker 2: hold on, wait a minute. Hold, I'm confused. I come
- 23:34Speaker 2: over your house and then your roommate is sitting in
- 23:38Speaker 2: my lap and makes me a plate.
- 23:40Speaker 7: Now I need to know who am I dating here?
- 23:45Speaker 7: Just all three of us. I don't say that.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Keep that to your safe start over, start over.
- 23:54Speaker 7: Keep that to yourself. But just say, hey, look, I
- 23:57Speaker 7: want to ask you a question.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I came here thinking with you, but then your roommate
- 24:03Speaker 2: is sitting in my lap and fixing me food.
- 24:05Speaker 7: So I'm confused. Am I to date your roommate? Am
- 24:09Speaker 7: I to date you? I'm so confused. I don't understand.
- 24:15Speaker 1: All right, Yeah that's failure.
- 24:19Speaker 7: Yeah, because I'm confused.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, play attention to this one.
- 24:24Speaker 12: Clo La Donna in Valdosta Georgia says, mister c l O,
- 24:30Speaker 12: I'm sixty seven, and I heard you say that old
- 24:33Speaker 12: people need to stop referring to themselves as freaky. I
- 24:37Speaker 12: beg your pardon because I'm still very freaky and my
- 24:41Speaker 12: husband is sixty eight and he is too. But here's
- 24:45Speaker 12: the problem. He's starting to watch a lot of porn
- 24:48Speaker 12: and he ends up handling his business all by himself
- 24:50Speaker 12: a lot.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Why does he choose that over actually having sex with me?
- 24:56Speaker 1: Mister clo?
- 24:58Speaker 7: You well, you know, okay, since we being honest with
- 25:05Speaker 7: each other.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Come on, if a man prefers porno and himself over you,
- 25:13Speaker 2: then let me ask you a question. Why do you
- 25:17Speaker 2: think he prefers porn and himself over you?
- 25:23Speaker 13: Miss?
- 25:23Speaker 7: I still got it, I'm so free, sixty seven freaky.
- 25:28Speaker 12: Well, that's what she wants to know from you, clo.

- 25:33Speaker 1: Sex with her?
- 25:36Speaker 7: Freaky and good is two different things.
- 25:41Speaker 2: You know, maybe you got feather dusters in the room
- 25:43Speaker 2: and you don't look suitcase under the bed.
- 25:46Speaker 7: I don't know what you're working with, but maybe maybe
- 25:48Speaker 7: he don't want all that.

- 26:05Speaker 2: You can buy the porno movie. You won't, you know, table,
- 26:13Speaker 2: I don't know what to tell her. She'd have one
- 26:19Speaker 2: in him, thinking she all that freaky, but he don't
- 26:21Speaker 2: want to be with her. You want to be with
- 26:23Speaker 2: the porno movie in himself. Now, obviously something you doing
- 26:27Speaker 2: ain't all that freaky.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Well, okay, you're the c l O, noting c chief

- 27:08Speaker 12: Angela in Manhattan says I'm a forty two year old
- 27:11Speaker 12: dancer and I do private bachelor and bachelorette parties. I
- 27:14Speaker 12: was hired to dance for a guy's fortieth birthday party,
- 27:17Speaker 12: and his wife set it all up. When I got there,
- 27:19Speaker 12: the birthday boy asked if I would fool around with

- 53:52Speaker 12: and went into a story about how my best friend
- 53:55Speaker 12: isn't pleasing her and she needs a real man to
- 53:58Speaker 12: take care of her needs. I was thrown for a
- 54:01Speaker 12: loop but tried to comfort her.
- 54:03Speaker 1: She got closer to me and.
- 54:05Speaker 12: Whispered that she heard I'm blessed. Then she looked at
- 54:09Speaker 12: my mid section and winked. I pushed her away, and
- 54:12Speaker 12: she sprung right back on me and grabbed my mid
- 54:16Speaker 12: section and got a nice handful. God because I had
- 54:22Speaker 12: on jogging pants. She asked if she could see it,
- 54:26Speaker 12: and when I said no, she tried to take it
- 54:28Speaker 12: out of my pants herself. I struggled with her for
- 54:32Speaker 12: a minute, and then we heard my best friend pull up.
- 54:35Speaker 12: I ran into the bathroom because during the struggle I
- 54:39Speaker 12: became aroused. The rest of the day at his house
- 54:42Speaker 12: was stressful. I know if I tell my best friend
- 54:46Speaker 12: any of this, it could end our friendship. Should I
- 54:48Speaker 12: tell her how foul she is or avoid them both?
- 54:52Speaker 1: WHOA? I was not expecting any of this. This letter
- 54:57Speaker 1: took a turn, didn't it. You're right, she's she's too much.
- 55:00Speaker 1: She's way too much.
- 55:02Speaker 12: And this is a dangerous position you're in because any
- 55:05Speaker 12: wrong moves on your part could totally end your friendship.
- 55:08Speaker 1: And that's what you don't want. So I say this
- 55:10Speaker 1: to you. Say nothing to him about his ridiculous wife,
- 55:14Speaker 1: and just stay away from them.
- 55:16Speaker 12: If they invite you over again, and I'm sure they
- 55:18Speaker 12: will make excuses, don't go.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Ever, don't ever go back over there. His wife is
- 55:24Speaker 1: too crazy. She's out of control.
- 55:27Speaker 12: She sounds like the kind of person who will lie
- 55:29Speaker 12: on you, and you know say that you came on
- 55:34Speaker 12: to her when it was her trifle and ratchet behind
- 55:36Speaker 12: all the time. So again, stay away from them as
- 55:39Speaker 12: a couple for sure, and never ever be alone with
- 55:43Speaker 12: her again.
- 55:43Speaker 1: She has no morals to do.
- 55:46Speaker 12: That to you, like it was nothing, and she's willing
- 55:49Speaker 12: to risk it all for some well you get the picture.
- 55:54Speaker 12: If she's that loose with you, she's bound to try
- 55:56Speaker 12: it with someone else, who she heard you know, is blessed,
- 56:01Speaker 12: and hopefully she'll get caught, you know, and then she'll
- 56:03Speaker 12: lose her husband, which is a good man according to you.
- 56:07Speaker 12: So again, just stay away, stay quiet. Your friend won't
- 56:11Speaker 12: believe you anyway if you tell him. He's so strong,
- 56:15Speaker 12: she'll get what's coming to her eventually, and it probably
- 56:17Speaker 12: I'm sure it won't be a moment a moment too soon, Steve.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Well, we got a problem here, homie. Say you're going
- 56:30Speaker 2: through this but and this ain't good, man, This is
- 56:35Speaker 2: gonna end up badly for everybody in this letter, including you.
- 56:41Speaker 2: So let me just walk you through what happened to
- 56:44Speaker 2: you though, So you understand, you said, y'all real tight.
- 56:48Speaker 7: You and your boy y'all been through a lot.
- 56:51Speaker 2: You have some good and bad girlfriends together, and now
- 56:53Speaker 2: he's married, and now you want to tell him about
- 56:57Speaker 2: his wife.
- 56:58Speaker 7: You can't.
- 56:58Speaker 2: She's tall, thick, web big hair, got big lashes, long nails,
- 57:03Speaker 2: and toenails are very long. I don't know when they
- 57:07Speaker 2: started being a fat out. I've been out the game
- 57:10Speaker 2: for a long time, so I don't know when they
- 57:12Speaker 2: started doing the long toenails.
- 57:16Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 57:17Speaker 2: Maybe she just into open toe shoes or you know,
- 57:21Speaker 2: I'm not really in the claw type feet. Long toenails.
- 57:29Speaker 7: I do like on painted, but not long.
- 57:34Speaker 2: She's what we used to call soulful, and you fool
- 57:36Speaker 2: around with them, but y'all will make them your number one.
- 57:39Speaker 7: Well, now here's the problem. This woman put that thing
- 57:43Speaker 7: on him.
- 57:43Speaker 2: And he gone, well, let's say we can stop writing
- 57:45Speaker 2: this letter. See your partner whip, ain't nothing we can
- 57:49Speaker 2: do about that.
- 57:50Speaker 7: We can't help you. And because your description of her
- 57:54Speaker 7: it doesne got it.
- 57:56Speaker 2: He talks about her NonStop and don't like to be
- 57:59Speaker 2: away from her for long. So he asked you to
- 58:01Speaker 2: come over for steaks on the grill. You got there,
- 58:03Speaker 2: he wasn't home well so much for.
- 58:05Speaker 7: He don't like to be alone.
- 58:08Speaker 2: See, a lot of men say stuff about their marriage
- 58:11Speaker 2: that they ain't really true. If he don't like being alone,
- 58:15Speaker 2: why is his ass at the stove? You know they
- 58:18Speaker 2: could have went to the store together. Yeah, but he
- 58:21Speaker 2: needed a break. All this long hair, big hair, nails,
- 58:26Speaker 2: all this here he lying he went to the store.
- 58:29Speaker 2: He probably sitting in the parking lot at the stove
- 58:31Speaker 2: right now, just breathing heavy, just trying to catch your breath,
- 58:36Speaker 2: because he's been at the house with this hell for
- 58:37Speaker 2: all this time. He wants you to think he got
- 58:40Speaker 2: something real because he'd have made a mistake. So y'all
- 58:44Speaker 2: sitting there and he wasn't at home. Y'all having a
- 58:46Speaker 2: friendly conversation. Now, big girl, start tearing up, Start talking
- 58:52Speaker 2: about how your best friend ain't pleasing and she need
- 58:54Speaker 2: a real man to take care of her knees.
- 58:57Speaker 1: All right, hold that thought, steep, pull that thought well
- 59:00Speaker 1: Part two.
- 59:01Speaker 12: Steve's response at twenty three minutes after the hour, Strawberry
- 59:05Speaker 12: leaves subject for today my best friend's wife is too much.
- 59:08Speaker 12: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 59:12Speaker 12: Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 59:16Speaker 12: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject my best friend's wife.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Is too much.
- 59:21Speaker 2: All right, we're talking about this young couple and twenty seven.
- 59:26Speaker 2: They been homies for a long time with through we
- 59:28Speaker 2: used to run girls together and everything. And they used
- 59:30Speaker 2: to have this type of girl, soulful, big, tall, thick,
- 59:34Speaker 2: big hell, big lashes, long nails, but this one got
- 59:37Speaker 2: long toeennails. This is probably the whole difference maker right here.
- 59:42Speaker 2: And so now he didn't marry this girl. He talk
- 59:47Speaker 2: about it constantly and don't like being away from it. Well,
- 59:50Speaker 2: he do like being away from it, because when you
- 59:52Speaker 2: got over there Sunday, he was at the stove gone.
- 59:55Speaker 2: He was down at the store, just sitting in the
- 59:57Speaker 2: parking lot, just getting to bring y'all started having a
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: friendly conversation. She started tearing up and told you how
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: her friend ain't pleasing her. She need a real man.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Now here what a letter turned. I was thrown for
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: a loop, but I tried to comfort her. You can't
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: pack them types of people on the back.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: You can't do that.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Once you touch her back, that signals to her and
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: them toes time to make a move at us, just
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: throwing this whole thing. And you tried to comfort her,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: so you patted her on the back. She got closer
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: and the whispered that she heard I'm blessed. Now where
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: she here this at? She heard that from your best friend.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: That's probably why. Then she looked at your mid section
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: and wink. You pushed her away. Now you know why
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: you had to push her away, because she was comforted
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: her patting her on the back. That's what happened. And
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: then she grabbed me a section and she got a
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: hand for it because you had on jogging pants.
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: She asked me if she could see it. I said no.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: She tried to take it out of my pants herself.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Y'all too close though, y'all way too close. Yoke your
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: friend's house, way too close. See when you're friend ain't home.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: You're supposed to stay outside by the grill, supposed to
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: be on the porch somewhere. You're supposed to be turning
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: the meat or moving the ice round in the cooler.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: You all in there, patting her on the back, comforting her.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: You can't comfort a woman that's got long ass toenail.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I'm telling them, listen, it's the whole thing. See a
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: woman with real long toenails and hang out over the chute,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: pull her along on the sidewalk when she walking.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: Long.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta be hered. So I struggled with her
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: for a minute. Now she big, tall, thick, big hair, big.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: It's hard you struggling. Then you heard your friend pull up.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: You ran to the bathroom because during the struggle you
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: got a little aroused.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: That's cost you twenty seven. It don't take much. She
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: touched me. Even if you don't want them, if they
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: touch you, your ass is lit.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Oh that's it.
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: Yeah, the rest of the deal you twenty seven. It
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: don't take much. Thoughts. Touching is one thoughts. Get you there.
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: She touched. The rest of the day at his house
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: was stressful.
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: If I tell my best friend any of this, it
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: could end our friendship. Should I tell how far she
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: is or avoid them both? All right, here's the deal.
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: You have to avoid them.
- 1:02:48Speaker 12: You have to.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: You cannot tell it. He is going to find out,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: and she gonna go somewhere else. You turned her down,
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: but she gonna make a move somewhere else.
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: So that's really it. You're in a precarious position. Don't
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: go over there no more.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Ain't no more grilling at his heart. That yeah, you're
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: all them days over right there. And you know, some
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: friendships is for a season and you and a friend.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: You know, I got some friends that I was friends
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: with in the twenties, but we ain't make the cut.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: You can't say nothing about his wife. He ain't gonna
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: take it right because he sprung. And just let it
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: go and just be there. Don't ever tell him about
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: the incident, even when their relationship is over.
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: Just let it go. That's all I got for you. Man.
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: You're a young dude. I know this is new for you.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Every man in here has been in this situation where
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: one of their friends girls got a little crazy. I've
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: been very fortunate in my life and that none of
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: my partners have been involved with people like this, but
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: it happens often often, and y'all young, stay away from her.
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: Run and now let this be a lesson from you.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Stop fooling with them soul for girls, because one of
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: y'all gonna get too close and they let your own.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: You're gonna get whipped just like he is. Next thing,
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: you know, you beating married one. So what is the
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: moral of this story?
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: What do we learn today?
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: Stay away from long ass toenails?
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: Learn something every day. Every day you have got.
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: To stay away from long ass today.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: His friend is cut. All right, Well, thank you.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all I got for y'all. Really can't go
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: no deeper than that. It's just it's nowhere can go
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: with you?
- 1:04:53Speaker 15: You know, jack.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Someone the first time I ever saw that was in
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: l A long toenails.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Person that need to put on all that extra stuff
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: is lacking in a lot of departments who need long toenails.

- 1:18:12Speaker 12: Coming up in forty nine minutes after the hour? Our
- 1:18:15Speaker 12: last break of the day is closing remarks.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: Steve Harvey.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: Closing remarks are back.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Motivate us today, Inspire us today. Mister Harvey, I.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: Have something that I keep in my motivational section of
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: my photo albums. You know how you have your photos
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: and they're broken up into categories. Well, I created a
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: section in my photo albums called motivation and the only
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: thing in it are just motivational quotes, uh, pictures that
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: people have sent me over the years, analogies about success, scriptures,
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: stuff out of Daily Word. I just have an album
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: full of that stuff. So when I'm feeling kind of
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: some kind of way, you know, I.
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: Just go through it. Man.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: There's always something in that collection of stuff that I
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: keep that motivates me. And I ran across something this
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: morning that I wanted to share with you all, and
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: I did it at one of my act like a
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: success conventions, and it went over really well. And it's
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: the twelve things that successful people do different There are
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: twelve things that successful people do differently. Number one, they
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: create and pursue smart goals. They create and they pursue
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: smart goals. You know what that simply means, Just what
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: it says. They eliminate as much ignorance as they can
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: much foolishness. They pursue smart goals. One of your goals
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: can't be to get back at somebody. One of your
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: goals can't be to get revenge on this person. Finally,
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: one of your goals can't be to finally make them see.
- 1:20:06Speaker 7: Who you really are. It has to be smart goals,
- 1:20:09Speaker 7: things that move you forward. The next thing that.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Successful people do differently they take decisive and immediate action.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: One of the worst things in trying to become successful
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: is procrastination. Successful people take decisive and immediate action.
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: As soon as you think of an idea, start the
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: process of the action.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: You don't have to know all the way of how
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: it should go, but at least start the process because.
- 1:20:40Speaker 7: You're not gonna do one thing today.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Want that one thing may take weeks to accomplish, So
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: just decisive and immediate action.
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: Next, they focus on being productive, not being busy.
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: That's a different Some people just do busy. They don't
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: do productive. Do things that are productive in your life,
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: not busy. Next, they do they make logical and informed decisions.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: When they make a decision is based on logic, but
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: it's an informed decision. They sought some type of advice
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: to start it and make a decision. You know, you
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: can see counseling before you make a decision. Number five,
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: they avoid the trap of coming. They avoid the trap
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: of trying to make things perfect. You know, some people,
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna do this when I get all my ducks
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: lined up in the road, so when all.
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: The kids lead.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: You know what, as soon as I save enough money.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: That's a trap, man. There is no perfect time to
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: do it. The perfect time to do it is now.
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Number six. They work outside of their comfort zone. If
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: you want to be successful, you got to do some
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: things as uncomfortable. You know, I've said it a million times.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: getting what you've been getting. Well, here's another one. If
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: you want something you've never had, you're gonna have to
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: do something you've never done.
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: Say that again.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: If you want to have something you've never had, you're
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: gonna have to do something you've never done. And that's
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: usually get yourself outside the comfort zone. If you stay
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: in your comfort zone, that's where you will fail. Number seven.
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: They think they keep things simple. Don't complicate it, Just
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: go about your business. Number eight. They focus on making small,
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: continuous improvements. Remember what I've always told you, Inch by inch,
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: anything's a cinch. Just get some small accomplishments and keep moving.
- 1:22:41Speaker 7: Number nine.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: They measure and track their progress. They always watching what
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: they're doing, where they are. They measure it and they
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: track they progress. They don't just keep looking at the goal.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: They track they progress because there's joy in the journey.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: On your way to becoming a millionaire. You should be
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: overjoyed at the the fact that you're making two hundred
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: and fifty thousand, because that's better than the twenty five
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: thousand a year you used to make.
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: Next thing. Number ten.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: They maintain positive outlook as they learn from mistakes. All
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: mistakes are just valuable learned experiences, and successful people look
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: at it that way. Stop getting buried under your mistakes.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: Number eleven. They spend time with the right people. Association
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: brings on participation. If you're the smartest person in your group.
- 1:23:37Speaker 7: You need a new group you associate.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Spend time with the right people, people as of like mindedness,
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: going in the same direction as you.
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: And Number twelve. They maintain balance in their life.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: There's a time my building block for success, the balance
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: that I had to learn to do as a man.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: What's first is God, second is family, third is education,
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: and fourth is business. God first, that's the balance of life, Family, second, education,
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: and When I talk about education, I'm not always talking
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: about going to school.
- 1:24:26Speaker 7: I'm talking about gathering the knowledge.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: And know how you need in whatever endeavor you're undertaking,
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: whether it's opening a new business, whether it's going back
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: to school, whether it's learning to drive a trunk, Educate
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: yourself to it, Google it, look it.
- 1:24:42Speaker 7: Up, study it.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: That's what I mean by education, and then four business
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: will immediately come into order.
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: Talk to God, he loved to hear.
