- 0:13Speaker 1: move like theming bus bus things. And it's true. Good
- 0:20Speaker 1: at Steve har listening to mother for Steve Barby, I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't join joining me. Have you gotta turn hur you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out, got to turn them out,
- 1:45Speaker 1: turn the water the water. Come, come on your baby
- 1:59Speaker 1: at it, I shall will, I'll come morning. Everybody you're
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on dig me now one
- 2:08Speaker 1: it only Steve Harvey got a radio show? Man. I
- 2:14Speaker 1: love it when I run up into people and they
- 2:16Speaker 1: say that to me. They say, hey, Steve Harvey got
- 2:18Speaker 1: a radio show. Then they wink at man, I know
- 2:21Speaker 1: they're listening. You know. I got a lot off my
- 2:23Speaker 1: chest yesterday. I wanted to clear some things up. And
- 2:25Speaker 1: I appreciate y'all giving me a minute, because sometimes you know,
- 2:29Speaker 1: you just gotta say some things out loud. Not complaining,
- 2:32Speaker 1: but hey, just verbalizing, but realizing that I gotta keep
- 2:36Speaker 1: going anyway. And that's for my words this morning to
- 2:40Speaker 1: you that I want you to keep pushing no matter
- 2:45Speaker 1: what happens. I want to share something with you. That's important,
- 2:51Speaker 1: that's very very important. See, you have to give God
- 2:56Speaker 1: something too, bless you know, if your prayer is asking
- 3:02Speaker 1: for God's blessings, you got to give him something to
- 3:05Speaker 1: work with. Now, you know, you gotta show the spirit
- 3:12Speaker 1: of appreciation or gratitude. You gotta let him know that
- 3:16Speaker 1: you're in it for the long haul. No matter what happens.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Don't turn around. You will never ever see what the
- 3:27Speaker 1: end could be. If you turn around and go back,
- 3:33Speaker 1: You'll never know what the end could have been had
- 3:36Speaker 1: you stuck it out. You'll never know how good it
- 3:42Speaker 1: could have gotten had you not just weathered the storm.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That's the thing that gets most people. They get tough
- 3:53Speaker 1: for them, It get hard for them, and then they
- 3:56Speaker 1: let doubts set in, and then those doubts become facts
- 4:00Speaker 1: and the next thing you know, they give up. Had
- 4:04Speaker 1: you not given up, or had you given your best,
- 4:07Speaker 1: what the results or outcome could have been. I look
- 4:11Speaker 1: back on my life on so many occasions where in
- 4:15Speaker 1: college I wasn't giving my best. Now I flunked out.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Now it's easy to look at my life nine go yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 1: but look at you now. But back then, man, it
- 4:28Speaker 1: cost me for so many years that failing to finish,
- 4:35Speaker 1: that not giving my all, it cost me a number
- 4:40Speaker 1: of years. I wish I could say that it didn't
- 4:44Speaker 1: mean nothing, that it was just a blimp on the
- 4:46Speaker 1: radar skrein screen, But at the time it was major.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And so you have a lot of decisions in your
- 4:52Speaker 1: life that are happening now. You may be in your twenties,
- 4:56Speaker 1: your late teens, you could be in your early thirties,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and it's happening. But guess what you'll eventually get through
- 5:03Speaker 1: it provided one thing you never give up. You never
- 5:08Speaker 1: turn around and go back. Had I written myself off
- 5:12Speaker 1: because of one failure, see, and this is where so
- 5:16Speaker 1: many people go but go wrong at two. You write
- 5:18Speaker 1: yourself off after you failed at something, the one thing
- 5:23Speaker 1: you thought you wanted to accomplish, and you failed at it.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Now you write yourself as a failure. Now you go
- 5:29Speaker 1: settle on end to life and just see what See
- 5:32Speaker 1: what hand you get had when I flunked out of college,
- 5:37Speaker 1: had I written myself off as a failure, I wouldn't
- 5:40Speaker 1: be here today. When I lost my carpet cleaning company,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I would have written myself as a failure and I
- 5:47Speaker 1: wouldn't be here today. When I didn't become a diamond
- 5:50Speaker 1: distributed in Amway or a direct distributor in am Way,
- 5:54Speaker 1: even I would have written myself as a failure, and
- 5:58Speaker 1: I wouldn't be here today. When I bought a distribution
- 6:02Speaker 1: kit to become a distributor of the Bohemian Diet and
- 6:08Speaker 1: I didn't make it, I would have written myself as
- 6:11Speaker 1: a failure. When I became an Al Williams distributor and
- 6:14Speaker 1: I didn't make it, I would have written myself as
- 6:17Speaker 1: a failure, and I wouldn't be here today. Oh, I
- 6:19Speaker 1: got a list for you. When I got laid off
- 6:23Speaker 1: it for a motor company. Had I written myself as
- 6:26Speaker 1: a failure, I wouldn't have made it. Do you need
- 6:30Speaker 1: some more? Because I have a story filled with mishaps?
- 6:37Speaker 1: I have a story filled with failures. A couple of
- 6:42Speaker 1: things now, the grace of God and his mercy which
- 6:46Speaker 1: is available to us all. See that's the key, y'all,
- 6:50Speaker 1: Because of his mercy, because of his willingness to forgive
- 6:56Speaker 1: and to even understand why we do the things we do.
- 7:02Speaker 1: In all of my shortcomings, failed marriages I'm talking about,
- 7:08Speaker 1: man got it all wrong. Can't blame nobody else. It's
- 7:13Speaker 1: just me. Steve ain't have it together at that point
- 7:16Speaker 1: in life. I could have ridden myself as a failure
- 7:20Speaker 1: the first time I could. I just could have gave
- 7:24Speaker 1: up on it after the second one. And please know
- 7:28Speaker 1: that this is an admission. This ain't bragging. So before
- 7:31Speaker 1: you start in with me, understand what I'm saying. I'm
- 7:34Speaker 1: pointing out in my life a series of missteps and failures.
- 7:42Speaker 1: But how I still get here today A couple of things.
- 7:48Speaker 1: God's grace and mercy is first. But that's the key,
- 7:53Speaker 1: that's for everybody see if it's God's willingness to forgive
- 7:58Speaker 1: you and God's understanding of why we do what we
- 8:02Speaker 1: do because He's said we wasn't gonna be perfect. So
- 8:06Speaker 1: in all of your imperfections, your creator told you you
- 8:10Speaker 1: would not be perfect. He's sad it to you. It's
- 8:13Speaker 1: out there. I don't care which one of the books
- 8:16Speaker 1: you read it tells you that. So guess what With
- 8:21Speaker 1: that in mind, he has a grace that he has.
- 8:26Speaker 1: It's like a grace period. It's like when you don't
- 8:28Speaker 1: pay your insurance premium on the day that is due.
- 8:31Speaker 1: The next day, they don't just cancel your insurance premium.
- 8:35Speaker 1: They have a grace period because they ain't trying to
- 8:39Speaker 1: stop this money from coming in. But when it comes
- 8:42Speaker 1: to God, there's no money required. He just gives you
- 8:46Speaker 1: the grace freely. It don't cost you nothing. So you
- 8:50Speaker 1: got tap into that, y'all. You gotta get in touch
- 8:52Speaker 1: with that, because that's an important part to making it
- 8:55Speaker 1: understanding that His grace is available so when you make
- 8:59Speaker 1: a mistake, So when you fail at it, he has
- 9:03Speaker 1: a loophole in the contract with him that allows you
- 9:07Speaker 1: to make mistakes, that allows you to get it wrong,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that allows you to fail time and time and time again.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But if you never give up, if you keep getting up,
- 9:18Speaker 1: if you keep trying, if you keep striving, if you
- 9:21Speaker 1: keep making the effort to go forward and not go back,
- 9:25Speaker 1: God has a blessing for you, and He has it
- 9:29Speaker 1: in abundance for you, and God will give it to
- 9:32Speaker 1: you at the right time. But you got to be ready. Oh,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I want it to be successful. But if He had
- 9:40Speaker 1: given it to me back then I wouldn't have handled
- 9:43Speaker 1: it correctly because I would have made some more mistakes
- 9:47Speaker 1: along the way. So you make the mistakes to learn
- 9:50Speaker 1: the lessons. Lord they ain't God been good to me.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie to you. Cool. You're listening to show,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen without further ado. Let me have your attention, please,
- 10:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morty Show is a about to pop off.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Tommy here, do you remember how it's done. We're about
- 10:18Speaker 1: to pop the pop the pop off. I missed that.
- 10:24Speaker 1: That was a good that's what we're doing. Calling for real,
- 10:28Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve, I missed that too. That was a
- 10:31Speaker 1: good one. What's up, Junior boy? Good morning everybody. Thank
- 10:35Speaker 1: you our favorite mentor I know who has been named
- 10:39Speaker 1: formerly a friend of the queues. Yes, nephew, Tommy your side.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Top of the morning, Uncle Steve, sure, let me not
- 10:50Speaker 1: caller and Junior Boy, oh damn, you just must start singing,
- 10:59Speaker 1: might as well, saying yeah Tuesday morning. Yeah, yeah I'm
- 11:04Speaker 1: still here. I'm still standing. Yeah yeah yeah, little Elton
- 11:12Speaker 1: John for you, Yeah, I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 1: God is good. What I have learned most is to
- 11:22Speaker 1: praise and honor Him in my trials and tribulations, as
- 11:26Speaker 1: well as when the sun is shining ever so brightly.
- 11:30Speaker 1: If you can do that, if you can praise him
- 11:34Speaker 1: when it's dark outside or sunny. The reward that you
- 11:39Speaker 1: will receive is beyond anything you can comprehend or imagine.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I think you know what I'm saying. Yeah, you know
- 11:51Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Because
- 11:54Speaker 1: you can't have a testimony without the test You know,
- 12:01Speaker 1: when I think of bad things that happened, you know
- 12:04Speaker 1: what I say? Sometimes when at les I ain't, you know,
- 12:09Speaker 1: just say that, well, at Les I ain't. Well, at
- 12:13Speaker 1: Les I them five words can help you when you're
- 12:18Speaker 1: going through some difficult you just say to yourself, well,
- 12:22Speaker 1: at Les I ain't, because you can always think of
- 12:26Speaker 1: something that's happened worse. I know I can't. I have
- 12:33Speaker 1: sixty two years of previous experiences, and I'm certain that
- 12:39Speaker 1: I have had enough bad stuff to happen to me
- 12:42Speaker 1: to draw on it in times when I need them
- 12:45Speaker 1: when new bad stuff happened. And so right there, so
- 12:54Speaker 1: to God, I serve is good. Be here. We're alive.
- 12:57Speaker 1: We made it to another day. Today is better than yesterday.
- 13:01Speaker 1: That yes, sir, yes sir, yes, sure. And we were covered.
- 13:06Speaker 1: We are covered, that's right, man. And the blood never
- 13:10Speaker 1: loses its power. No, we don't we are covered. Yeah, man, yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 1: so we gotta we got a lot going on today.
- 13:18Speaker 1: We're gonna do Steve's favorite segment this morning. Ask Steve.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You know he likes this crazy yes segments. Ye, so
- 13:26Speaker 1: you're ready, got it? Let's do it all right? Well,
- 13:30Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, ask Steve
- 13:34Speaker 1: right after this. Yeah, yeah, you're listening to show time
- 13:40Speaker 1: now for ask Steve. Steve, this is your favorite question
- 13:44Speaker 1: and Shirley's out today. I'm not gonna do like Shirley
- 13:46Speaker 1: and make you rush you with the answers. We're gonna
- 13:49Speaker 1: ask you questions, take your time, do your thing. This
- 13:54Speaker 1: is your segment. I'll start it off all right. What
- 13:57Speaker 1: random act of kindness has someone done for you lately? Oh? Man, prayer?
- 14:05Speaker 1: M hmm. That's that's my favorite random act of kindness.
- 14:10Speaker 1: When people say, hey man, we're praying for you, praying
- 14:13Speaker 1: for your family. You know? I like that? Oh a dude?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Then can koon gave me a dude? That watch store
- 14:26Speaker 1: gave me a very rare Cuban cigar. That actor kind
- 14:30Speaker 1: of wash yeh, prayer and the Cuban cigar girl behind
- 14:39Speaker 1: the girl up. Yeah, that was pretty good. I got
- 14:46Speaker 1: one school, I got one, I got one? What popular
- 14:52Speaker 1: trend thing? Are you know that? When they say something's trendy?
- 14:57Speaker 1: What what trend? Can you not get into skinny jeans? Yeah?
- 15:11Speaker 1: I can't get into it. No, I don't even try.
- 15:14Speaker 1: The key to skinny jeans if you should be skinny,
- 15:18Speaker 1: if you put on the pair of skinny jeans, and
- 15:21Speaker 1: you look like a waffle cone, ice cream cone with
- 15:26Speaker 1: a lot of ice cream on the top of that
- 15:27Speaker 1: little skin ass blag at the bottom, if that's how
- 15:30Speaker 1: you look in your skinny jeans, If something is hanging
- 15:34Speaker 1: over your skinny jeans, you probably don't need a hat
- 15:37Speaker 1: them all. So, ain don't need me putting on a
- 15:39Speaker 1: little tight ass pants because I don't like trying to
- 15:42Speaker 1: get out of tight ass clothes, especially if you start
- 15:45Speaker 1: sway that skinny jeans summy? All right? All right? Uh?
- 15:55Speaker 1: What's a good comeback to um? You ugly? Say that again, June,
- 16:02Speaker 1: what's a good come back to your ugly? And you
- 16:05Speaker 1: ain't right? Fire right back, he's ready. So if one
- 16:19Speaker 1: out of every eight people is ugly and you don't
- 16:22Speaker 1: see the eight people, come on, baby, stay with me.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Now that's good. I like it. I like it all right.
- 16:34Speaker 1: We're in the middle of ask Steve. So here's a question, Steve.
- 16:37Speaker 1: What's one thing that you're excited about that's coming in
- 16:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty next year? One thing I'm excited about this
- 16:46Speaker 1: is coming in twenty twenty. Expansion globally is exciting on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the horizon for me, and I praise God for it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: And it's all because of It's grace and mercy that
- 16:59Speaker 1: I can see that happening. So global expansion in twenty
- 17:03Speaker 1: twenty is your brand. Yeah, it's happening. That's big though.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm all right. My question what thing have you never
- 17:15Speaker 1: done but always wanted? What is it? Never done but
- 17:20Speaker 1: always Oh? Can't say that on the radio but the
- 17:25Speaker 1: radio version and socially, ain't no radio version answer to
- 17:30Speaker 1: that one. I can't fix that. It's it just does
- 17:35Speaker 1: What can it be? Well? I asked, Okay, asked the
- 17:41Speaker 1: question again. Let me see if I can hear the
- 17:43Speaker 1: different way say it again? What what thing have you
- 17:47Speaker 1: never done but always won't it? Right? Yep, yep, can't
- 17:53Speaker 1: do that on the radio show. That's saying, ain't no
- 17:59Speaker 1: way something I've always wanted to do but have never
- 18:03Speaker 1: done it? Oh? Boy, come on, man, I can't boy boy, Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I got I mean I got the same answer you got,
- 18:11Speaker 1: so yeah, version of it. I got the version of Okay,
- 18:17Speaker 1: let me think of a radio version that I could try. Okay,
- 18:21Speaker 1: we'll try, because I would be okay, yeah, I would
- 18:26Speaker 1: like to take a yacht vacation for four months. Oh yeah, okay,
- 18:36Speaker 1: almost out on the water, but I off the air.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna clarify that for y'all. Okay, okay, all right,
- 18:47Speaker 1: this is something I really don't know about you, man.
- 18:49Speaker 1: But what was your first car? Like, your very first car,
- 18:53Speaker 1: very first car? Nineteen sixty eight Chevy Belair Biscayne Station.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Where down what you rolled in? Yeah? Where'd you get
- 19:05Speaker 1: that from from? Oh? It was a nineteen sixty eight.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I got it in nineteen seventy six. Any more damn questions?
- 19:19Speaker 1: You damn near two hundred and forty thousand miles on it,
- 19:23Speaker 1: But you were grateful. Words. I had that bad boy
- 19:26Speaker 1: in college. You should put thirteen deep in that rolled
- 19:28Speaker 1: on road trips. Got that in seventy six, had it
- 19:33Speaker 1: for almost two years. All right, Steve asked Steve, here
- 19:37Speaker 1: we go, what are a few secrets to living a
- 19:40Speaker 1: happy life, prayer, secrets, okay, discipline, visioning, and you got
- 19:49Speaker 1: to have a strong work ethic. I think you can
- 19:54Speaker 1: be happy that were lazy people don't do well with
- 19:58Speaker 1: with with with creating happy lives or making dreams come true.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Undisciplined people don't do well with getting to the happy
- 20:06Speaker 1: point in life or making dreams come true because without
- 20:09Speaker 1: the work ethic from being lazy, and without the disciplined
- 20:13Speaker 1: willingness to do the things that you're uncomfortable doing, you
- 20:16Speaker 1: won't be able to succeed. Those are the things that
- 20:19Speaker 1: I think are most important. But nothing top's faith, nothing
- 20:24Speaker 1: I like them. I like th other answers. All right,
- 20:26Speaker 1: that's it for asked Steve, kind of like asked Steve,
- 20:29Speaker 1: thanks so much day. You like it? All right, we'll
- 20:32Speaker 1: keep it going. Maybe next week, we'll keep it going.
- 20:36Speaker 1: You want to do it some more? Is ever true
- 20:38Speaker 1: it saying yeah, well I do it that hay other
- 20:41Speaker 1: day if you're okay. Coming up next, we got nephew
- 20:44Speaker 1: Timmy with run that prank back right after. Yeah, you're
- 20:48Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 20:53Speaker 1: In Entertainment News, sug Night handed the rights of his
- 20:58Speaker 1: life over to Ray J and singer Lizzo Crickets has
- 21:03Speaker 1: been accused of plagiarism again. I like Lizzo, what's going
- 21:07Speaker 1: on with that? But right now, nephew in the building
- 21:10Speaker 1: would run that prank back? What you got, nephew, all right,
- 21:13Speaker 1: wrong direction, his sister's great. Wow, wrong direction, his sister's great,
- 21:22Speaker 1: wrong direction. Hello, thank you for calling. My name is
- 21:32Speaker 1: Frederick Stammond. Down the timera, Mie, let me see she's
- 21:36Speaker 1: any office one moment. Please don't it don't make sense.
- 21:40Speaker 1: But all to go out there like we did, it
- 21:42Speaker 1: didn't running in the type of problem that Hello. Hello, listen,
- 21:47Speaker 1: my name is Frederick Stammonds. Okay. Now my sisters sist
- 21:52Speaker 1: is buried out there. Okay, And we come out that
- 21:55Speaker 1: last week on Monday to come out there and pray
- 21:58Speaker 1: over that the space was she yell, Now, you as
- 22:02Speaker 1: the one that told us that it was a few
- 22:04Speaker 1: spaces away from the mother limb. Now we got out
- 22:08Speaker 1: there and prayed over my suchter friends as bearer and
- 22:11Speaker 1: find out that we were in the wrong space, and
- 22:14Speaker 1: they say, you was the one that told it to us.
- 22:17Speaker 1: So I don't even know what you're talking about. You
- 22:19Speaker 1: was the one that told us that my suster friend,
- 22:22Speaker 1: I don't give out spaces. I'm in an administrative office.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I don't know where you're white out. All I know
- 22:27Speaker 1: is you was the one that told us this. No, yes,
- 22:31Speaker 1: you did. You are the one that my grandbaby said
- 22:34Speaker 1: that she talked to the woman named Tabor, and you
- 22:36Speaker 1: had us out there stand it over some white man's boy,
- 22:39Speaker 1: and it wa wrong out of concert. So I can't
- 22:41Speaker 1: tell you we're a space to you. So your granddaughter
- 22:45Speaker 1: last to you. Ain't nobody lied to me that you
- 22:47Speaker 1: had us out there in the wrong space. I couldn't
- 22:49Speaker 1: have had you in the wrong spaces. I don't even
- 22:51Speaker 1: know the semisteries. You know what. I must send my
- 22:54Speaker 1: grand baby up there to talk to you. Okay, I'll
- 22:57Speaker 1: be here to fire. You're very mischieved. You know that
- 23:00Speaker 1: I'll be here at five o'clock. You don't have a
- 23:02Speaker 1: good day, No you don't. You hang up, just phone
- 23:04Speaker 1: on me. You have a good day. No, I'm not
- 23:07Speaker 1: gonna have a good day. You had me praying over
- 23:10Speaker 1: the president's body, and that was the raw one, and
- 23:13Speaker 1: where's enough praying over this white man's body? It was right. Hello,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I'm listening to you. You don't have an apology or nothing,
- 23:23Speaker 1: because I know I didn't tell your granddaughter where a
- 23:26Speaker 1: space was, then what did you tell them? I don't
- 23:29Speaker 1: even know what your granddaughter is. What you mean the
- 23:32Speaker 1: Stamon's family? If we were not that, I don't know
- 23:34Speaker 1: who the Simmons family is. If not Simon, that Stamons, Stamons,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I don't know a Simon's family. That's what I'm telling you.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I'm not a counselor. I don't even deal with family.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Here's what I need you to do. Can you go
- 23:47Speaker 1: out there and pray over my sister body. I don't
- 23:50Speaker 1: know where your sister is buried. It's supposed to have
- 23:52Speaker 1: been six maidens away from the mother limb. I don't
- 23:56Speaker 1: are there any faces? Where is it? Where is it
- 23:59Speaker 1: at sex section two? We was in section two, but
- 24:03Speaker 1: there was some white man we was that That wasn't
- 24:06Speaker 1: my sister. PRIs Okay, I don't even know who your
- 24:10Speaker 1: sister friends is. I do not even know where section
- 24:14Speaker 1: two is. Whoever came into the cemetery instead that they
- 24:18Speaker 1: spoke to me. They probably did speak to me, and
- 24:21Speaker 1: I probably got the information from a conference, but I
- 24:24Speaker 1: never told them exactly where the spot was. So they
- 24:27Speaker 1: were out there praying over your sister and they were
- 24:29Speaker 1: in the wrong spot. That's not my problem. That praying
- 24:32Speaker 1: over some white man. That's not my problem, sir. If
- 24:36Speaker 1: you gave the wrong wrong spot, if you gave the
- 24:38Speaker 1: wrong information, it is just I don't give the wrong information.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I told them, yes she's in section two. That did
- 24:46Speaker 1: not physically go out there and point to the spot
- 24:48Speaker 1: to tell them to pray over that spot. Let me
- 24:50Speaker 1: explain what I'm trying to stop from happening. If my
- 24:54Speaker 1: people come out there, it's gonna be some Mobodi's getting married,
- 24:57Speaker 1: and I don'tlmost nobody to get her. I mean, your
- 25:00Speaker 1: family can come up here. It's not going to be
- 25:01Speaker 1: no more bodies than buried that. What they can do
- 25:04Speaker 1: is come up here writing. We can conversate about this,
- 25:06Speaker 1: but it's not going to be an up world here.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I want you to go out there and you pray
- 25:11Speaker 1: over friends and the body. I'm not going out to
- 25:13Speaker 1: pray over nobody's body now, it's not family. Remember I
- 25:18Speaker 1: didn't tell them to run information. Do you love the
- 25:23Speaker 1: Lord I dearly do, Then you ought to have some sepathy.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I want you to bout your head right now. No,
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm going to end this conversation because all the work
- 25:34Speaker 1: to do. Now they come in and rust to me.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I will be hearing to five o'clock. Can I say
- 25:39Speaker 1: one more thing for you? Go that one more thinking,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I'm ending the car. Okay, this nephew comment from the
- 25:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvard Morning Show. You just got prank COVID. You
- 25:54Speaker 1: are crazy, your sister to me because sets you and
- 26:01Speaker 1: you just got it baby from nephew Tommy. Bro, you
- 26:07Speaker 1: were standing in your ground. You're like, no this guys,
- 26:10Speaker 1: you wouldn't prayed over the wrong bout it. That don't
- 26:12Speaker 1: mean I ain't all right? Check it out. You gotta
- 26:19Speaker 1: tell me one thing, what's the baddest radio show in
- 26:21Speaker 1: the land killed? You gotta know how to get to
- 26:30Speaker 1: somebody grave. You know you'll wind up at the wrong one.
- 26:33Speaker 1: You know, there ain't no streets in the cemetery, so
- 26:35Speaker 1: you got to know how to get you know what
- 26:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. You get it though? Yeah, yeah, you played
- 26:40Speaker 1: too much though, that's that's too far, nephew. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 1: you can't be old at praying oldest white man grave
- 26:46Speaker 1: and this ain't We're in the wrong grave. That don't work. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they can't hear the prayer. No house, Steve,
- 26:59Speaker 1: that's the true state, even done standing right on top
- 27:02Speaker 1: of the grave. I promise you ain't nobody heard it. Columbia, Columbia,
- 27:10Speaker 1: South Carolina. The Nephew is coming to town. Two shows
- 27:12Speaker 1: Friday to Saturday at eighty three o'clock maddenee on Sunday.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You hear what I said? Who Friday? Who Saturday Sunday
- 27:20Speaker 1: three o'clock maddenee. And that's the show you don't want
- 27:23Speaker 1: to miss Who Friday too? Saturday one on Sunday Nephew Columbia,
- 27:27Speaker 1: South Carolina The Comedy House so taught me. The Sunday
- 27:31Speaker 1: one is at three at three o'clock. Steve Man. I
- 27:34Speaker 1: didn't think it would work at first. I mean I
- 27:38Speaker 1: never it worked. It's a new day now, so yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 1: because you know I got to be work Monday morning,
- 27:45Speaker 1: you know, so I gotta pay attention, you know, do something.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I try to get the work on time. Try to
- 27:50Speaker 1: you do not? Now you do? We all at work one? Okay?
- 27:58Speaker 1: I don't want to stand that. Boy. I used to
- 28:00Speaker 1: be trifling back in the day. Boy heard Oh god,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I mean, do you call? You really? Call in? I'm listening.
- 28:10Speaker 1: He would call, I would call him. He answered the phone, Hello, uncle,
- 28:17Speaker 1: why are you? Why are you calling me? What you want?
- 28:20Speaker 1: I said, what I want? We at work? Oh wow, work?
- 28:28Speaker 1: But this was twice a week minimum at that La nightlife.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I was in voided. I wasn't no good nephew. Well,
- 28:41Speaker 1: I'm glad you changed a little bit. Coming up, we
- 28:43Speaker 1: got entertainment and national news at the top of the hours.
- 28:46Speaker 1: You're listening In today's entertainment news, sug Night just handed
- 28:54Speaker 1: over his life to ray J. Now, the Death Row
- 28:57Speaker 1: founder soldiers rights to ray J, and Sugar is in
- 29:02Speaker 1: prison for twenty eight years and trust ray J to
- 29:06Speaker 1: do right by him and pick the right projects. Sug
- 29:09Speaker 1: think since life could make a great movie, TV movie
- 29:13Speaker 1: or even a book. Now keep in mind, you know
- 29:16Speaker 1: ray J and his investment portfolio. It includes you know,
- 29:19Speaker 1: consumer electronics. You know he has those electric scooters, and
- 29:24Speaker 1: you know cannabis business. So ray J is doing this thing.
- 29:27Speaker 1: So what do you guys think? Ray A good a
- 29:30Speaker 1: good guy man. I like a chance to talk with
- 29:33Speaker 1: him at the at the Kentucky Derby last year. Really
- 29:39Speaker 1: really clear. I mean I've known him for years, but
- 29:42Speaker 1: we actually sat down. Yeah, really really smart, smart kid
- 29:45Speaker 1: man and really really putting a putting forth a big
- 29:49Speaker 1: effort in the business. Have you sat down and talked
- 29:52Speaker 1: to Sugar night? No, I ain't. I ain't been where
- 29:55Speaker 1: where he at. I'm not gonna do I'm he couldn't
- 30:00Speaker 1: do my next twenty eight inside. Okay, wow, all right,
- 30:07Speaker 1: Well that's scared for right Jack. You know he's doing this,
- 30:10Speaker 1: But what does he get calling I mean, he gets
- 30:12Speaker 1: the rights to do a movie on sugar What else
- 30:14Speaker 1: does he get though, I don't get it. Does he
- 30:17Speaker 1: get more than that? And I'm pretty sure it's a
- 30:20Speaker 1: profitable venture. Yeah? Yeah, he may even bring who knows
- 30:25Speaker 1: death records back, you know, the label it could be,
- 30:29Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. So it's more than just a movie.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I mean, I don't know, I
- 30:34Speaker 1: don't know anything. You who knows? Yeah? Who knows? What?
- 30:38Speaker 1: I think it would be a good movie, though, but
- 30:42Speaker 1: it's not. I mean, it's not gonna even rival competent,
- 30:47Speaker 1: you know, not that that movie was a really really
- 30:52Speaker 1: great straight out of comptent was excellent. Yeah, it was
- 30:57Speaker 1: a really good movie. We know, how what would you uh,
- 31:02Speaker 1: what would you all think of this though? What would
- 31:05Speaker 1: you all think of a biopic of the Kings of Comedy?
- 31:10Speaker 1: Love it? You know, I mean, has somebody had actors
- 31:14Speaker 1: really play the role and show the tool because you
- 31:18Speaker 1: know this year coming it's twenty years twenty twenty, it's
- 31:27Speaker 1: the twenty year reunion of the Kings of Comedy. The
- 31:31Speaker 1: movie was it was it always peaceful on two with y'all.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Did y'all always get along? Yeah? I mean, you know,
- 31:38Speaker 1: we had moments, you know what I mean, But it
- 31:42Speaker 1: was always I mean, you know, we had some moments
- 31:47Speaker 1: back there now, you know, but mostly it wasn't amongst ourselves.
- 31:51Speaker 1: It was with you know, people, that was with people.
- 31:58Speaker 1: That was most of the drama. Backs age, the entourage,
- 32:02Speaker 1: well not even really the entourage, but people who would
- 32:04Speaker 1: get back, like the friends of the promoters would be
- 32:08Speaker 1: backstage and bring people and all like that. That was
- 32:11Speaker 1: most I mean, you know, I mean we all got along,
- 32:14Speaker 1: said and DL and B you know, we was we've grown,
- 32:18Speaker 1: you know, we wentn't backstad and all like this what
- 32:21Speaker 1: none of that do your time? You're going along? Whatnot?
- 32:24Speaker 1: All that no, yeah, no, but the problem we had
- 32:27Speaker 1: backstage with the people, and then when we toured with
- 32:31Speaker 1: the Queens sometimes dash quare you know, because their crew
- 32:36Speaker 1: was back there. Put that in the movie too. Yeah. Yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 1: we want to see all that something stopes scene, right yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I like that. All right, Well, we gotta switch gears.
- 32:50Speaker 1: We gotta get to other headlines for today. See ladies
- 32:54Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp, thank you, thank you, good money. Everybody.
- 32:58Speaker 1: This is Entrop with the news. Let's get it go
- 33:00Speaker 1: on Capitol Hill. Today, Democrats continue to look into whether
- 33:02Speaker 1: President Trump use military aid as leverage to get the
- 33:05Speaker 1: Ukrainians to hopefully dig up dirt on Joe Biden and
- 33:08Speaker 1: his son. Investigation in the House of Representatives expected to
- 33:11Speaker 1: hear from the top US diplomat in the Ukraine, Bill
- 33:14Speaker 1: Taylor now Taylors on record as having said basically that
- 33:17Speaker 1: it would be unwise to withhold security assistance for help
- 33:20Speaker 1: with a political campaign, So who have to see what
- 33:22Speaker 1: he says President Trump andwhile says that the Democrats are
- 33:25Speaker 1: trying hard to impeach him for political reasons only, so
- 33:28Speaker 1: he's marshaling the troops. I think they want to impeach me,
- 33:31Speaker 1: because it's the only way they're gonna win. They've got nothing.
- 33:34Speaker 1: All they have as a phone call that was perfect.
- 33:36Speaker 1: These people are trying to destroy the country. It's a
- 33:39Speaker 1: very bad thing what they're doing. The President of the
- 33:41Speaker 1: United States should be allowed to run the country, not
- 33:45Speaker 1: have to focus on this kind of crap. The vast
- 33:47Speaker 1: majority of the GOP continue to back Trump, however, if
- 33:50Speaker 1: you have indicated that, they'd be opened to voting for
- 33:52Speaker 1: impeachment depending on what concrete evidence of wrongdoing terms up. Meanwhile,
- 33:57Speaker 1: the US Secretary of Defense Mike Pompeoe arrived in Afghanistan yesterday.
- 34:02Speaker 1: That was a surprise. He's seeking to reassure our allies
- 34:04Speaker 1: that the US military remains committed to that region. In fact,
- 34:08Speaker 1: the Pentagon chief says the Trump administration may leave some
- 34:10Speaker 1: forces in northern Syria to make sure that the oil
- 34:13Speaker 1: fuels there don't fall into the hands of a revitalized
- 34:16Speaker 1: Islamic state. That assurance, of course, coming on the heels
- 34:19Speaker 1: of last week's pull out of about a thousand US troops,
- 34:22Speaker 1: abandoning America's Kurdish allies who helped the US fight and
- 34:26Speaker 1: incarcerat ices forces, but even though Trump's been criticized by
- 34:29Speaker 1: both Democrats and Republicans for that one, he stands by
- 34:32Speaker 1: the decision. We never agreed to protect the Kurage. We
- 34:36Speaker 1: support with them for three and a half to four years.
- 34:39Speaker 1: We never agreed to protect the Kurds for the rest
- 34:41Speaker 1: of their life. However, the courage in Iraq and Sirius
- 34:44Speaker 1: see things differently. They see it as a betrayal. In fact,
- 34:46Speaker 1: they threw garbage and other stuff at the military vehicles
- 34:49Speaker 1: carrying American troops out of Syria. Yesterday, a scary case
- 34:52Speaker 1: in Alabama, two people under arrest in connection with the
- 34:54Speaker 1: apparent abduction of a three year old little black girl
- 34:57Speaker 1: named Camille McKinney from a birthday party in burn Hand.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Her whereabouts remained in mystery. The FBI's involved a Latina
- 35:03Speaker 1: who's been making her money as a senior civil rights investigator,
- 35:06Speaker 1: and Ohio has been fired for saying that she hates
- 35:09Speaker 1: black people and that black people are unappreciative dogs. Julia
- 35:13Speaker 1: cost Her Gramman, employed by Ohio's human relations counsel, went
- 35:17Speaker 1: on a racist rant, apparently to a black bartender who
- 35:20Speaker 1: determined she had a little bit too much to drink.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Asked her to be a little quieter because other patrons
- 35:24Speaker 1: who are really saying she's complaining loudly listening to reasons
- 35:28Speaker 1: she hated black people when asked about a cause and said,
- 35:31Speaker 1: oh no, she was only thrown out of the bar
- 35:32Speaker 1: for using adult language. However, the owner of the place
- 35:35Speaker 1: has her vicious racist rant on video. She's again fired
- 35:39Speaker 1: and today's National knee Day. That's a part of the
- 35:41Speaker 1: body you don't think about unless you hit it. Back
- 35:47Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Mourning Show. You're listening, okay, Steve, guys,
- 35:53Speaker 1: let's talk about being healthy. Did you guys see former
- 35:56Speaker 1: First Lady Michelle Obama share a photo on social media
- 36:01Speaker 1: of her recent workout session. Missus Obama is seen performing
- 36:05Speaker 1: a lunge while lifting a huge medicine ball over her head,
- 36:11Speaker 1: with a caption, it doesn't always feel good in the moment,
- 36:15Speaker 1: but after the fact, I'm always glad I hit the gym.
- 36:18Speaker 1: She looks so good. Forever First Lady anyway, Steve Junior,
- 36:23Speaker 1: Tommy Now, according to a new survey, the average adult
- 36:26Speaker 1: only feels perfectly healthy with no aches, no pains, twelve
- 36:32Speaker 1: days a month. Oh well, I know, I know, I
- 36:36Speaker 1: ain't having one of them twelve days right now, right now? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:48Speaker 1: That means guys, listen to this. We're only feeling good
- 36:52Speaker 1: less than half the year. So let's talk about self care, Steve.
- 36:56Speaker 1: You know, we're always talking about living a healthy lifestyle.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Give us a point, some tips. What we got to
- 37:01Speaker 1: do to right out to some good loving. I feel good,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I feel real good, So I'm just gonna feel you
- 37:07Speaker 1: right after that day. Always call it always good to
- 37:18Speaker 1: get a dose. That way, I sound way more intelligent. Okay,
- 37:24Speaker 1: she I don't mind letting him talk, but when I
- 37:27Speaker 1: do talk, people go, thank you Jesus. I'm so glad
- 37:34Speaker 1: Steve on that. Okay, Okay, you know what, I've been
- 37:40Speaker 1: working out pretty consistently. What I decided to do was
- 37:42Speaker 1: really invest in my health. I'll tell you what a
- 37:45Speaker 1: guy told me. And he doesn't make the living that
- 37:49Speaker 1: I make. And I was talking to him and he says,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I spend three hundred thousand dollars a year on health,
- 37:57Speaker 1: and I went, wow, he said, three hundred thousand net.
- 38:02Speaker 1: This guy makes about he makes about three meal a year.
- 38:06Speaker 1: He makes a lot of money. That's a lot of money, y'all.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I'm not. So he said, he spends three hundred thousand
- 38:11Speaker 1: a year and I went, man, that's ten percent of
- 38:15Speaker 1: your income spending on health. And so he said, what
- 38:21Speaker 1: do you have more important than your health, other than
- 38:24Speaker 1: your time on earth? And if your time on earth
- 38:27Speaker 1: is not a good quality time, what is that? He said,
- 38:31Speaker 1: why would you not spend ten percent of your income
- 38:34Speaker 1: to take care of your health? And and that stopped me.
- 38:38Speaker 1: And I'll tell you the rest when we come back.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Got to tell me this. I don't want to know
- 38:41Speaker 1: what he's doing. Okay, Yeah, so I'll tell it you.
- 38:44Speaker 1: All right, we're coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 38:46Speaker 1: Steve will tell us more about a healthy lifestyle right
- 38:49Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, okay, Steve. So we were talking
- 38:55Speaker 1: about healthy lifestyle. We were talking about the picture of
- 38:57Speaker 1: Michelle Obama on social media trending, and you were telling
- 39:01Speaker 1: us a story about a guy that spends three hundred
- 39:05Speaker 1: thousand dollars of his income on health on his healthy lifestyle.
- 39:10Speaker 1: That's okay to think about it. Now, Well, he's just
- 39:15Speaker 1: doing ten percent of his income. So let's just say
- 39:19Speaker 1: your income is fifty thousand, ten percent of that is
- 39:24Speaker 1: five grand right, a year for your health one hundred thousand.
- 39:31Speaker 1: You're spending ten thousand a year on your health. If
- 39:36Speaker 1: you make a million dollars, you're spending one hundred thousand
- 39:41Speaker 1: a year on your health. I mean, why are we
- 39:44Speaker 1: going to work if it's not for health and happiness?
- 39:47Speaker 1: You know, because you're two most important things that your
- 39:50Speaker 1: health and your and your happiness. So now everybody wants
- 39:53Speaker 1: to be successful and everybody wants to be happy. Your
- 39:55Speaker 1: two most important things, excuse me, is your health and
- 39:58Speaker 1: your time. So now he broke it down for me.
- 40:01Speaker 1: He said, Steve, I hire a trainer who trains. I
- 40:07Speaker 1: have a stretcher who makes sure I'm properly stretched. I
- 40:11Speaker 1: hire nutritionist to monitor my meals. I do my quarterly
- 40:15Speaker 1: blood work. He say, I have a yoga instructor and
- 40:20Speaker 1: jim equipment and memberships. Wow. And he just supplements all
- 40:30Speaker 1: of his supplements, you know, peels, you know, powders, whatever
- 40:35Speaker 1: he's taken. He said that totals three hundred thousand dollars
- 40:40Speaker 1: a year, and went he looked good. Good, he looked good.
- 40:47Speaker 1: He was sixty four years old. And I said, man,
- 40:51Speaker 1: And so he said, Steve, how much do you spend
- 40:54Speaker 1: a year And I said, man, I don't spend three
- 40:58Speaker 1: hundred thousand. He said, you make it a serious mistake.
- 41:03Speaker 1: He said, now you make more money than me. He said,
- 41:06Speaker 1: why would you not spend more money. He said, that's
- 41:08Speaker 1: a mistake. Man. He said, think about it. Prioritize yourself.
- 41:13Speaker 1: He said, how much do you spend on clothes a year?
- 41:16Speaker 1: I said, you're talking about me or my wife. He's
- 41:22Speaker 1: a one. He said, if you're spending more on clothes
- 41:24Speaker 1: than your health, something's wrong. And I had to stop
- 41:27Speaker 1: and I said, wow, something's wrong. So what I did
- 41:32Speaker 1: was I did exactly that. I got a trainer, a stretcher,
- 41:36Speaker 1: a nutritionist, I do my blood work. I don't like yoga.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I got all types of gym stuff. I take care
- 41:42Speaker 1: of my supplements. And when I looked up, I was
- 41:46Speaker 1: spending you know, a bit more. I mean, if you
- 41:49Speaker 1: look at Lebron James, Lebron James released it, he spends
- 41:53Speaker 1: over a million dollars, Yeah, to stick to take care
- 41:58Speaker 1: of his body and stay in shape. He got those
- 42:02Speaker 1: special things in his home and stuff like that. So yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 1: you know, I think we have to look at it
- 42:07Speaker 1: like that in terms of your income, and it all
- 42:11Speaker 1: relative based on how much you make for ten percent
- 42:13Speaker 1: of your income going towards your health. It makes sense
- 42:17Speaker 1: once you think about it. So if you make forty
- 42:20Speaker 1: thousand dollars a year and you spending four thousand dollars
- 42:23Speaker 1: on your health, that's kind of like a smart investment,
- 42:28Speaker 1: right right, that's and that's a r O. I Return
- 42:32Speaker 1: on your investor was an O for real, real, and
- 42:37Speaker 1: so I just looked at it. I don't have to
- 42:40Speaker 1: spend ten percent of my income a year, quite, but
- 42:46Speaker 1: I bumped it. I bucked it up considerably, and I
- 42:48Speaker 1: did well. When I hired me a trainer. I have
- 42:51Speaker 1: a stretcher. I just lost my stretcher. I'm looking for
- 42:54Speaker 1: another one because she wanted to move back to Atlanta
- 42:58Speaker 1: and so we lost our stretching buddy. You know, we'll
- 43:01Speaker 1: find another one. And I got a great nutritionist you know.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Oh oh, and shechef so you know, uh the intake,
- 43:11Speaker 1: yeah man, so you got it? Yeah man too. I
- 43:17Speaker 1: never thought about that. But the way you're breaking it
- 43:19Speaker 1: down to as well, you don't have to be a

- 53:11Speaker 1: so Steve Harvey will do the honors and read the
- 53:14Speaker 1: letter and I'll respond. So let's go, nephew, let's go.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Let's go. Buck a lop hold on tight. We got
- 53:19Speaker 1: it for you. Here it is the Strawberry Letter. Yeah,
- 53:22Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. Everybody subject. This man has a thing for
- 53:29Speaker 1: chock huh. Here we go, did Stephen Shirley. I'm a
- 53:34Speaker 1: divorce fifty eight year old black woman dating a sixty
- 53:37Speaker 1: one year old white man that I met on the
- 53:39Speaker 1: dating site for black people. I thought it was strange
- 53:43Speaker 1: that he was on the site that is for blacks,
- 53:45Speaker 1: but I guess he likes what he likes. Well, this
- 53:48Speaker 1: man fell head over heels for me. On the first date.
- 53:52Speaker 1: He got up and kissed me at least four times
- 53:56Speaker 1: that night while we were at dinner. Well, since then,
- 54:00Speaker 1: he sends me text throughout the date at least ten
- 54:04Speaker 1: a day to tell me he's thinking about me and
- 54:06Speaker 1: he misses me. We go out on dates twice a week,
- 54:09Speaker 1: and we've had and we have sex at least once
- 54:12Speaker 1: a week, and he's great in bad So this man
- 54:16Speaker 1: is a dream come true. Right. Well, I got a
- 54:19Speaker 1: few problems with him, and I need your advice. I
- 54:23Speaker 1: have only known this man for a month and he
- 54:26Speaker 1: told me that he loves me and he's been shopping
- 54:29Speaker 1: for an engagement ring. He wants to get married by
- 54:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty. The other problem is since we started having sex,
- 54:39Speaker 1: he now likes to refer to me as his black
- 54:43Speaker 1: or chocolate everything. I went from being a hot babe
- 54:48Speaker 1: to a chocolate hot babe. He now refers to me
- 54:52Speaker 1: as his beautiful black girlfriend when we on dates, and
- 54:56Speaker 1: it's getting on my nerves. I will have to have
- 55:00Speaker 1: a conversation with him in due time, but I need
- 55:02Speaker 1: to make sure that I'm going to stay with him. First,
- 55:05Speaker 1: he was on a dating site for black singles, but
- 55:07Speaker 1: he says I'm the first black woman he has dated.
- 55:11Speaker 1: So my question is am I trying to create a
- 55:13Speaker 1: problem where one does not exist? Is it possible that
- 55:17Speaker 1: this man did fall in love at first sight and
- 55:21Speaker 1: he's just happy to be in a relationship with a
- 55:23Speaker 1: black queen. Please give it to me straight, Shore will
- 55:28Speaker 1: well my queen. Here we go. It sounds like an
- 55:31Speaker 1: easy fix, though, I mean, you have to talk to
- 55:35Speaker 1: this guy, and you have to, you know, let him
- 55:39Speaker 1: know that there is an issue that you'd like to
- 55:41Speaker 1: address with him, and let him know it's a sensitive issue.
- 55:45Speaker 1: So if it's bothering you that he you know, it
- 55:47Speaker 1: sounds like it's a racial issue for you. So if
- 55:50Speaker 1: it's bothering you that he is calling you, you know,
- 55:53Speaker 1: chocolate or black anything, you need to let him know
- 55:56Speaker 1: that because in any relationship, regardless of race, any relationship,
- 56:02Speaker 1: if you have an issue with that person, there's going
- 56:05Speaker 1: to be some things that are said or some things
- 56:07Speaker 1: that are done that you aren't going to like. And
- 56:10Speaker 1: so you have to be able to talk to that
- 56:13Speaker 1: person about it. If you're not comfortable with that situation. Now,
- 56:17Speaker 1: as far as you guys, you know, moving too fast.
- 56:20Speaker 1: You haven't been dating for that long, so you have
- 56:23Speaker 1: to decide. I mean, you're fifty eight years old, so
- 56:26Speaker 1: you should by now have a good judge of character,
- 56:29Speaker 1: and so you should know if this is a guy
- 56:32Speaker 1: that you really want to be with, I mean, if
- 56:34Speaker 1: it feels good to you, then you have to move
- 56:37Speaker 1: forward with this relationship. And so if you have to decide,
- 56:41Speaker 1: you have to say, if marriage is what you want,
- 56:44Speaker 1: then this is a guy that you should be with.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Otherwise then you need to step back and see what's
- 56:51Speaker 1: going on with this relationship and take things slowly. So
- 56:54Speaker 1: you have to determine if you're moving too fast. But
- 56:56Speaker 1: you are fifty eight years old, so you have to
- 56:58Speaker 1: decide if you want to get married or not. And
- 57:01Speaker 1: then you know, talk to him about this racial issue
- 57:03Speaker 1: that you're having about black or or chocolate or things
- 57:08Speaker 1: like that, because if you were dating a brother and
- 57:10Speaker 1: he called you black or chocolate or something like that,
- 57:13Speaker 1: you wouldn't have a problem with it. So maybe he's
- 57:15Speaker 1: just not aware that that's a sensitive issue with you
- 57:18Speaker 1: because of his race. So you got to be able
- 57:20Speaker 1: to talk to him about that. Okay, Steve, Well this
- 57:26Speaker 1: is a different one. So here we go. Yeah, fifty
- 57:30Speaker 1: year old black woman dating the sixty one year old
- 57:32Speaker 1: white man made him on a dating site for black people. See,
- 57:47Speaker 1: he ain't the only one that's weird. You weird too, see,
- 57:52Speaker 1: so let's not just put the weirdness on him. Is
- 57:55Speaker 1: it weird that he was on a dating site for
- 57:57Speaker 1: black people? It ain't weird that you picked the one
- 58:01Speaker 1: white man that's on the site for black people. See
- 58:06Speaker 1: everybody playing playing a little thing here. Now, he liked
- 58:10Speaker 1: what he saw. You like the fact that he liked
- 58:13Speaker 1: what he saw, and you like what you saw. So
- 58:15Speaker 1: we really ain't got no problem here, two people and
- 58:18Speaker 1: found each other. Sound like to me? This man faith
- 58:21Speaker 1: fell ahead over heels for me on the first date,
- 58:24Speaker 1: got up, kiss you at least four times that night
- 58:26Speaker 1: while we was at dinner. Since then, texts ten a
- 58:31Speaker 1: day thinking about me, miss me. Y'all, go on dates
- 58:35Speaker 1: twice a week, we have sex at least once a week.
- 58:37Speaker 1: And he's great and bad. Okay, man ain't nothing rare.
- 58:45Speaker 1: So this man is a dream come true? Right? Well
- 58:48Speaker 1: are you asking me? Well, it seems like you you're happy, right, now,
- 58:52Speaker 1: But you got a problem with him. You've known this
- 58:55Speaker 1: man for a month. He told me he loves me,
- 58:57Speaker 1: and he's been shopping for an engagement ring to get
- 59:00Speaker 1: married by twenty twenty, that's month after next. The other
- 59:05Speaker 1: problem is since we started having sex, he now likes
- 59:08Speaker 1: referred to me as his black or chocolate everything. You know,
- 59:12Speaker 1: this is my little black one, this is my little
- 59:14Speaker 1: black hunted bunch, this is my little chocolate thing. Well,
- 59:21Speaker 1: I know why he's doing this as a man, and
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna give it to you when we come back.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I knew exactly what's going on, but you got to
- 59:30Speaker 1: find out if this is something you Yeah, I know
- 59:31Speaker 1: he's a dude. He's a dude. I know exactly why
- 59:35Speaker 1: he's doing it. Okay, all right, s's gonna break it down,
- 59:41Speaker 1: all right. Part two of his response at twenty three
- 59:44Speaker 1: after the hour you're listening, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 59:52Speaker 1: This man has a thing for chocolate, Steve, Well, here's
- 59:58Speaker 1: this fifty eight year old black woman who met this
- 59:59Speaker 1: six one year old white man that have met on
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: a dating site for black people. I thought it was
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: strange that he was on that site for blacks. Well,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I think it's strange that you got the only white
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: man that was on the site for blacks. So now,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I mean, let's let's just be real with it now, sisters.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: So we really ain't got a problem here. There's two
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: people like what they like. You like hearing he like you,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: she said, But I guess he likes what he likes. Well,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: don't you like what you like? All the black men
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: on there? You end up with the white man? What's
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: the problem? Ain't no problem. Y'all got each other. What's
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: the matter? He went on date got I kissed you
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: four times at night, text you ten times a day.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Y'all gone dates once a week, we have sex. We're
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: gonna dates twice a week. We have sex at least
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: once a week. He's great in bed. So this man
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: is a dream come true. Right, I got a few
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: problems that I need your I've only known this man
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: for a month. He told me he loves me, and
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: he's been shopping for an engagement He won't get married
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: by twenty twenty. Okay, you don't think this is moving
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: kind of fast? I do. After thirty days he wants
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: to buy an engagement ring. You don't even know him,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: because now you've already developed this one problem in thirty
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: days since we started having sex. He now likes referred
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: to me as his black or chocolate everything. I went
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: from being a hot babe to a chocolate hot babe.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Well he should have called you his hot chocolate hot
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: chocolate babe. That would have been. But he now refers
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to me as his beautiful black girlfriend who we own dates,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: and it's getting on my nerves. My question to you,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: if he was dating a white girl, would he called
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: her this is my beautiful white girlfriend. But he has
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: referred to you as his beautiful black girlfriend. I'm going
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: to teach you something now. Now you his black this
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: or his black that, and his chocolate this and his
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: chocolate that, and you're gonna have to have a conversation
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: with him in due time. I need to make sure
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: that I'm gonna be staying with him at first, because
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: he was on dating side for black singers, but he says,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I'm first black woman he's dated. Wait a minute, hold up, okay,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: see it's too much going on him. He on the
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: dating site for black women. You the first black woman
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: he ever dated. He's sixty one, really, really You've been
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: attracted to black women for a long time. That's why
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: your ass is on the dating site. So let's just
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: gonna stop this right now. This ain't brand new, partner, Now,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: if it is brand new, I want to tell you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: why you are being referred to as black this and
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: chocolate this and black this woman. Because there's an old
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: saying that women of color are the forbidden fruit. There's
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: an old saying. Now I'm just gonna teach you something.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: You don't have to be stuck on the old saying
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: or not. Is it because this is new to him?
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Is this because you are a novelty to him? Is
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: this is because you are fulfilling a fantasy to him?
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Is this because you are this item to him? Could
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you have become his very own prize possession? I finally
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: got my very own chocolate souler, so I got my
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: own blackness or that? So now the extra label is
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: because is fulfilling a fantasy that he's had and now
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: he has it and men have to put it in
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: a category. So you are my black, hot black thing,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: my hot black chocolate babe. He wouldn't say none of
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: this if you were white. But now since you getting
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: called this or that, and you've only known him for
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: a month. What I want you to do is take
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: your time, slow your role with just diamerine. Because right
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: now y'all having y'all going out twice a week, he
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: having sex once a week. He's great in bed. The
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: only problem you got it you black distress. Have y'all
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: gotten mad at each other yet? See this is going
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: to happen in the relationship. Have y'all had a real,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: real disagreement and then with it, because then you might
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: find out that you might be a little bit molding
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: hot chocolate. Okay, yeah, all my black girlfriend, you might
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: find out that you might be something else. So I
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: think you need to let this relationship develop a little
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: bit more to make sure that you're not part of
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: a fetish A long time for feel fantasy and just
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: up in here. Finally he got his very own black
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: or his own chocolate. Now that's not the case with
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: all interracial couples. I'm just referring only to this Strawberry
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: letter because there are a lot of interracial couples that
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: working just fine and don't have all these references. Or
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you could have that little reference every now and then
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you know like you might want to call him, you
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: know you you my little frosty snowpop. You know you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: my little snowflake. You know you might want to call
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: some of that, you know, and he get cute with you.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: You know you're my little chocolate drop. You're all that's sexy.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: But you know you feel to be my little white
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: eye sickle or something. You don't stand now, well, we're
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: feen to put the names on each other. You gonna
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: get called something. Yeah, I'm just telling me, Hey, we
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: all you my little snowflake. You feel to be something?
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: All right, But I think y'all just wait until you
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: get mad so you can find out. Make sure you
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: ain't be something else black or chocolate. That's my advice. Alrighty,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: mister Harvey, Man's coming coming. I love it. A girl
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: coming up. Make sure you check out the shotint Letter
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: podcast too. Under Man coming up. Forty six after the hour,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Michael Jordan opens two clinics for the underprivilege in North Carolina.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: What did your dad say? You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show?
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: In Trending news from our homestation in Charlotte V one
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: On one point nine, Michael Jordan donated millions of dollars
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: to build two state of the art medical clinics that
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: will offer primary and preventive care along with behavioral health
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: and social support services for people with little right to
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: no health insurance and Michael Jordan he got emotional during
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: bright the ribbon cutting ceremony, saying it was important for
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: him to give back to the community. Also guys checked
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: us out. Michael Jordan did an interview with Craig Melvin
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: from The Today's Show and Take a Listen. When Craig
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: asked Michael Jordan, why is he more outspoken than he
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: used to be? Take a listen change? Why are you
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: more outspoken now than you used to be? You know,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: when I was playing, my vision in my tone, vision
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: was my craft. I was a professional basketball player, and
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I tried to do that the best I could. Now
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I have more time to understand things around me, understand causes,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: understand issues and you know, problems and commits. You know,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: my voice, my financial support to Looking back on your
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: playing days, do you wish that perhaps you had been
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: more vocal about certain things. I never look back and
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: change things. For whatever reason. I like that. I like that,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I like I like that answer. He can't change it.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: He was committed to his craft. The fact of the
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: matter is what what are you today? And what he
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: is today as a great So this is an incredible
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: move that he's making. But I think people don't have
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: never given Michael Jordan the credit that he's that he deserves.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I don't know if people really understand the amount of
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: jobs and opportunities that Michael Jordan has created. And I
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: think that because he's not as vocal as a Lebron
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: James or Colin Kaepernick and didn't stand for causes and stuff.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Like he said, he was dedicated to his professional basketball player.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: But now he can donate his money and his time
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: to other things and we all develop as people, and
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: I think this is a perfect time for him to
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: have developed into who he is now. I mean, you look, man,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: him donating himself to that craft. That damn jump image
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: is global, and if you don't think it's a lot
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: of people with jobs black and white because of that
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Jump emblem, you're sadly mistaken. Junior has it all right now.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I bought some Jordan's shirts the other day with the
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: jump man on it, long sleeve workout shirts. Jordan still
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: the dude, man number one sneaker. Trust Yeah that that
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Tyler greatest basketball player will be his from now on. Yeah,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: yes he will. Yeah, but he's doing great work and
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: community in North Carolina. All Right, coming up, let me
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: tell you guys this. At the top of the hour,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: we're gonna talk more basketball. We talked about Michael Jordan.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Now we're gonna talk about Lebron James and Charles Barkley
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: is defending him for all of this drama about China.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: We'll talk about that. Yeah, at the top of the
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: hour you're listening. Lebron has been taking a ton of
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: heat for condemning Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey for posting
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: a pro Hong Kong tweet and creating this whole, you know,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: international incident. Lebron says that mister Mory wasn't educated on
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the topic before weighing in on the issue publicly. Now,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: people were hoping that Lebron would go after China for
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: attempting to you know, uh, stop people having free speech
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: and punishing people who criticize the government, but that really
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: didn't happen, So, you know, Lebron got a lit to
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: backlash about that. Anyway, Charles Barkley defended Lebron. TMZ caught
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: up with Charles Barkley. Take a listen, American competent does
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: business China. Why shouldn't Lebron not be able to protect
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: his financial efforts and the NBA at night there? Lebron
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: is passionate about the things he wanted to be passionate about.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: We don't get to tell him what we want him
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: to talk about it. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: the other stuff going on in other countries. We don't
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: ask their opinion. We don't get freak freach in China,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: you get freak speech. In the United States, you don't
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: get there. In part your values in other countries doesn't
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: work like that. I can't go to another country. So
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: we're gonna do things our weight. So you know you heard.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: So what do you guys think? What do you think?
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Steve Well, I think he took took up for him
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: very well. I think he did too. I think part
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: of what Lebron was trying to say in the beginning
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: was when they were talking about canceling basketball games over there.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Out of players is over there, you know, and you
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: send out this tweet and you got all these American
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: players over there in a communist country. Yeah, this could
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: go anyway for them. So I think what Lebron was
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: trying to say, and he didn't probably said the best
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: way was. I think he was trying to say, Hey, look,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: you're passing out these tweets. You got us over here,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: you ain't really educated on what's going on now. That
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: ticked off a lot of the protesters, which I understand
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: because they want to have freedom of speech. But Charles
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Barkley made a great point. You can't go to another
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: country telling them that you're gonna do it chow way
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: over that. It don't work that way in the real
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: scheme of things. Even though freedom speech is perfectly finding
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: well in the United States, but even over here it's
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: not anymore because of all of the movements in the
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: United States. What freedom of speech do we have anymore?
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Say the wrong thing over here and see what happened
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: to your whole career. Tweet the wrong thing and see
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: what happens to your whole career. So freedom of speech
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: is overrated because it applies only to certain people and
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: certain new things. We don't have freedom of speech anymore
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: because now if you freely say what you want to
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: say and somebody complain about it, you're gonna pay for that. Well,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Lebron just you know, just like this example, he tweeted
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: what he wanted to say and he got, you know,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: a lot of backlash from that. As where the NBA commissioner,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Adam Silver, he said he is still working on rebuilding,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: you know, the relationship with China and doesn't know if
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: the league will go back to play games in China
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: next year. So yeah, there you got. Yeah, that's yeah.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: You don't want to offend Chinese people, no, because there
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: are Chinese people who want to have freedom of speech.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: There are Chinese people who live in a communist world.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: There's Chinese people who are spiritual, practice different faith with
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: religious So you can't make a broad sweeping statement about
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Chinese people. You can't do that. So it's it's touching
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: gold with the however you want to say. That's why
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I really can't say anything definitive. Right, So we'll keep
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: an eye out on the start right to what the NBA.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: We'll keep you posting what the NBA is going to
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: do about this? All right, we'll come back at twenty
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: minutes after the hour we're talking about more trending news.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: We got some music for you. We got some fun
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: on the Steve Harvey Morning Shop. You're listening. This is
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: some crazy news right here. Listen to this guy's former
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: NBA great Dennis Roman, was formerly charged with battery for
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: allegedly slapping a man in the face at a Florida bar.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Now this was back in May. Dennis Roman, he has
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: pladed not guilty to the charge and was celebrating his
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: fifty eighth birthday with friends with one sap Dennis back though,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I'm just telling Okay. So he was celebrating his fifty
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: eighth birthday with friends when he got into an altercation
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: with a man who claims Dennis Roman slapped him twice
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: with an open hand unidentified man. Yes, oh my goodness.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Now this is serious though. This man said he suffered
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: swelling in his face, and he filed a police report
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: two days later. If conve acted, Dennis Robin can face
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: up to a year in jail. He won't be doing well.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I don't know you've been Get on that plane and
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: go back over the way. Feed what you're fenn to do.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: This is an accusation, you know, innocent to proven guilty.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of people bring a lot of
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: charges against people that didn't have any validity to it.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: He might have slapped him, he may not have. Did
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: he have a dress on, you know, dinner dress. I'm
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: just saying bridal gowns. We will be back. You're listening
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: to the Dry Morning Show. In today's entertainment news, sug
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Night just handed over his life to ray J. Now
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: the Death Row founder soldiers rights to uh ray J
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: and Sugar is in prison for twenty eight years and
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: trust to do right by him and pick the right projects.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Sug think since life could make a great movie, TV

- 1:16:14Speaker 1: consumer electronics. You know he has those electric scooters and

- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I mean I'm known him for years, but we actually
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: sat down. Yeah, really really smart smart kid man. Have

- 1:16:57Speaker 1: do a movie on sugar? What else does he get though?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I don't get it. I think it would be a
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: good movie though, but it's not. I mean, it's not
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: gonna even rival Compton. You know that movie was a
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: really really really great out of straight straight out of
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: comp very good. Yeah, it was a really good movie.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: And we know how what would you uh, what would
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: you all think of this though? What would you all
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: think of a biopic of the Kings of Comedy? Love it?
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: You know? I mean, has somebody had a really played
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: the role and show the tool because you know, this
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: year coming is twenty years twenty twenty is the twenty
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: year reunion of the Kings of Componce the movie was
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: it was it always peaceful on two with y'all? Did
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: y'all always get along? Yeah? I mean, you know we
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: had moments, you know what I mean? I mean, you
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: know we had some moments back there now, you know,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: but mostly it wasn't amongst ourselves. It was with people.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: That was with people. That was most of the dramas.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Backstage people who would get back, like the friends of
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: the promoters would be backstage and bring people and all
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: like that. That was most dramas. I mean, you know,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: I mean we all got along said and DL and B.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: You know, we was all we've grown, you know, we
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: weren't backs there arguing and all like this. What none
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: of that? Do your time? You're going along? Whatn't all that? Yeah? No,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: But the problem we had backstage was the people. And
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: then when we toured with the Queens sometimes Dash Square,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: you know, because their crew was back there. Put that
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: in the movie too. Yeah, yeah, we want to see
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: all that scene, right, yeah, I like that. All right,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Coming up, we will have Steve Harvey's closing remarks happening
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: at forty nine at the hour. You don't want to
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: miss it. Right after this. You're listening, all right, guys,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: we are here last break of the day on this
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Tuesday morning. It's been a busy Tuesday, but it's good day. Yeah,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: we are here. Steve Harvey, you got some closing remarks
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: for us. You're gonna drop some knowledge. I think the
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: best way for me always is to just be open
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: and honest about my own experiences in my own uh life.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Somebody asked me yesterday, It said, man, how do you
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: do it? How do you keep going when things seem
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: to be going so contrary to I'm sure the way
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: you wanted to go? And of course, you know, I
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: always kind of have an idea what people are talking about,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: even though I don't address the majority of it. But
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: the question was a sincere question, and they weren't saying
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: it to me to be mean or to get a
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: conversation started. They will seriously ask me, man, how do
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: you keep going? How do you manage to just show
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: up and do your job anyway? When so many things
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: around you seem to be swirling, so many things being said,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: conversations anything. I said, Well, here's a deal. I have
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: been able to survive all the things in my life
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: because of my faith. I'm just being honest with you.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: If God did not love me the way he does,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: if God did not give me an extent to me
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: his grace and his mercy the way he does, I
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: don't know how I would make it. But because I
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: have this unwavering faith, the belief in things that I
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: cannot see because I understand that he covers me. I
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: understand that Isaiah fifty four seventeen exist. I understand that
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Isaiah forty three one in two exists. That I can
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: walk through the waters and rivers and not drown, and
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: walk through fire and will not be burned, nor what
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: kindeling set upon my clothing. I understand that no weapon
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: formed against me shall prosper. I understand that there are
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: principalities at work all the time. I understand that the
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: devil's job is to rob me and you of our destiny,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: and he would challenge that any way he can. If
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: he can't get through to you, he will get through
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to someone you love. If he can't get through to you,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: he will get through to somebody you care about. If
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: he can't get through to you, he'll come through a
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: co worker. If he can't get through to you, he'll
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: come through a supervisor. If he can't get through to you,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: he'll use social media and ego find a way to
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: get to you, to shake your faith. The thing that
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: maintains me in all of it is my unwavering faith
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: in him. That God's promises are true, that he promised
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: never to leave me, that he promised that He would
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: be there and ever present presence in my life, that
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: he would always never forsake me, that when it looks
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: like it's going all wrong, that He is behind the
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: scenes working on my behalf and behind the scenes working
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: on your behalf. That relationship that I've formed over the
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: years with God, that I've tightened up this year is
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: the reason I can stand and face all of my
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: trials and tribulations and stand strong and still go to
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: work and keep a smile on my face and keep
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: moving forward. The fact that I handle my triumphs and
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: my tragedies the exact same way. The fact that you
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: can't look at me and see no signs of struggle
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: on me, it is because of my unwavering faith. The
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: reason my faith is able to stay so strong is
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: because I've discovered in my sixty two years of living
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: that God has kept me even in moments when I
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: didn't know how I was going to be able to
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: keep myself. Because when you have a relationship with God
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: and you're leaning on his promises, and all of his
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: promises are true, what do you have to worry about?
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: What can man do to you? If God is with you,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: who can be against you? Who what problem or what
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: person can you name or come up with as greater
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: than God? I can't. I can't think of anything. What
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: problem do you have that's bigger than God? I can't
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: think of anything. What situation do you think that God
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: can't bring you through? If you look back on your
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: life and realize that He's brought you through every other
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: one you've ever been in. Every situation I've ever been in,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: God has cleared me through that one. He's done the
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: same thing for you. Just look back. Name the one
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: thing that God hasn't brought you through. Name it. If
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: He ain't bought you through it, He's currently pulling you
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: through it right now. You know how I know that's
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: true because you can hear me. God is a very
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: present help in the time of trouble. The reason I
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: have relationship with God is so when I get in
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: moments like these, I don't have to introduce myself to it.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: He has heard me before. I have called him on
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: a daily basis when it's going good and when it's
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: going bad. So when he go bad and I show up,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: he recognizes me that I am his and he is mine.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: That's why I can keep my head up. Y'all do
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the same. Y'all have a great weekend. Those are my
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: clothes are remark I'm already dropped him, Mike. Y'all have
