I'm thinking today of Luke 17, 1, and it says, and he said to his disciples,

it is inevitable that stumbling blocks should come, but woe to him through whom

they come. We'll stop right there for the moment and just think about what this

verse means. The bottom line is there will be people in this life, even people

who claim the name of Christ, who offend, who stand in the way of other people

getting saved. There is nothing that any person can do to be saved. You cannot be

saved because you do good works. You cannot be saved because you turn to

being honest. When a man turns from one sin, he's likely to turn to another. We

get saved through the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven

given among men by which we must be saved. So trust in Jesus Christ and His

atoning sacrifice, that means the price that He paid on the cross for you to be

saved today. And having been saved, then to begin to live for the Lord to the

best of your ability and to help others do the same. Let us not, because we have

become saved, become stumbling blocks to others to help them not be saved. No, it's

our job to see to it that everybody can find out the truth that they need to

know. And the number one thing is that we're saved through Jesus. Ask them, just

say, if you'll call upon the name of the Lord, you can be saved. They're looking

for a sign. If you call upon the name of the Lord, God will do a great work in

your heart. Oh Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and

being the one and only way to salvation. If it was dependent upon me, I know I

wouldn't make it. But because it's dependent upon you, I know I will make it.
