- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to my show, Money Making Conversation Masterclass. I'm your host,
- 0:02Speaker 1: rus Sean McDonald. I recognized that we all have different
- 0:05Speaker 1: definitions of success. For you, it may be the size
- 0:08Speaker 1: of your paycheck. Mine has inspired people to develop a
- 0:11Speaker 1: plan to reach their dreams. It's time to stop reading
- 0:13Speaker 1: other people's success stories and start writing your own. You
- 0:16Speaker 1: can only see the expectations by believing in yourself. People
- 0:20Speaker 1: always talk about their purpose or gifts. If you have
- 0:22Speaker 1: a gift, leave with your gifts. You know, let your friends, family,
- 0:25Speaker 1: or core can stop you from planning or living your dream.
- 0:29Speaker 1: My guess is Jim Jones. He's a hip hop icon,
- 0:31Speaker 1: television star, entrepreneur, and entertainment mogul under Rock Nation Management.
- 0:36Speaker 1: He's one of the founding members of the Nantes rap
- 0:38Speaker 1: group to Diplomats, Jones is known for successful hit says
- 0:42Speaker 1: We Fly High, pop Cheptain, and was to co found
- 0:45Speaker 1: the h One's Love and Hip Hop This is way
- 0:48Speaker 1: it gets interesting in the world of entrepreneurship and the
- 0:50Speaker 1: business mogul that he is. He's launched his own and
- 0:54Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about this in an interview. He's launched
- 0:56Speaker 1: his own cryptocurrency he's uh vamp v I P. That's
- 1:02Speaker 1: another project. Saucy Farms and Extract that's another project. Another
- 1:06Speaker 1: project is the partner of the Richmond Frought Riders of
- 1:09Speaker 1: the a f L. Another project Quarantine Studios via title.
- 1:13Speaker 1: All these projects and more, we'll be talking in a
- 1:15Speaker 1: minute with the one and only Jim Jones on money
- 1:18Speaker 1: Making Conversations Masterclass. Because you seem to be right now,
- 1:22Speaker 1: Mr Jones, making some money? Talk to me, how you
- 1:27Speaker 1: feeling feeling good? Man? You know we're gonna get to
- 1:29Speaker 1: the drip report if you don't mind. But I but
- 1:31Speaker 1: when I saw all this, uh this this entrepreneurial spirit here,
- 1:35Speaker 1: because I'm seeing so many iconic hip hoppers transitioned into
- 1:39Speaker 1: the business world and it seems to be natural. But
- 1:42Speaker 1: then again, we didn't see that coming because we saw
- 1:45Speaker 1: you as artists, Um businesses and natural progressive for anybody
- 1:52Speaker 1: who's an artists have taken their craft seriously and lace
- 1:55Speaker 1: to make money. Um. Actually music is to set for
- 2:00Speaker 1: you to take a lot of anstillary problem. Um, you
- 2:03Speaker 1: don't understand as an artist. You really need to rethink
- 2:07Speaker 1: what your job is as an artist right when you
- 2:11Speaker 1: when you when you do you tie that gym to
- 2:13Speaker 1: like the the amount of time you're spending the studio,
- 2:16Speaker 1: the amount of tack because you know, as as as
- 2:19Speaker 1: as an artist, you are an entrepreneur. You know you
- 2:21Speaker 1: you set your on ours, you set your on work schedule.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You don't live on a forty hour week and could
- 2:26Speaker 1: be an eighty hour week and be a forty eight
- 2:28Speaker 1: hour day. Is that Is that an advantage for you
- 2:32Speaker 1: to have been nurtured that way to being able to
- 2:35Speaker 1: take along all these entrepreneur platforms that you're during the day?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Um has it has a great advantage is to be
- 2:42Speaker 1: able to get up the move when you want to
- 2:44Speaker 1: work for how long you needed to work in and
- 2:46Speaker 1: stay on something until until it until it happens, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: things like that on me or average person as a
- 2:51Speaker 1: regular ninety five, they don't have the luxuries of time,
- 2:55Speaker 1: so they have to squeeze in whatever hustle they can
- 2:58Speaker 1: in the time that they have left during the day. Uh,
- 3:02Speaker 1: somebody like myself, I wake up and I spend my
- 3:05Speaker 1: whole time and the things that I want to see
- 3:07Speaker 1: happen right now. The thing that is really at the
- 3:10Speaker 1: top of everybody's mind now and I've really been trying
- 3:12Speaker 1: to educate African Americans, the people of color. It's cryptocurrency,
- 3:17Speaker 1: you know, it's a digital currency that's not going anywhere.
- 3:20Speaker 1: And but as always, the brown and black communities seem
- 3:24Speaker 1: to be the last or last to get credit, the
- 3:26Speaker 1: last to get the right job. Where are you on
- 3:29Speaker 1: the cryptocurrency education model? And you've launched this this, this,
- 3:33Speaker 1: this currency? Are you are you? Are you caring an
- 3:36Speaker 1: educational platform along with it? Are you just just created
- 3:40Speaker 1: this blockchain as a revenue generator? Well, I was educating
- 3:44Speaker 1: people on cryptocurrency entities maybe the past three years before
- 3:52Speaker 1: artist was on it. Um. Cryptal currency is a beautiful thing.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I mean, everybody got onto it, all got commercialized during
- 4:02Speaker 1: the pandemic when everybody was in the house, so it
- 4:05Speaker 1: worked tremendously. Um. As things open backed up, you get
- 4:09Speaker 1: to see the crypto taking a dip, which is not bad.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Which is not bad. Is in any market when things
- 4:15Speaker 1: take a dip is not the worst thing. Most likely
- 4:18Speaker 1: you should double up on what you have. UM. Well,
- 4:21Speaker 1: be able to jump into the business and be able
- 4:23Speaker 1: to school our people on something that we usually last
- 4:26Speaker 1: to know or last long or something great for me
- 4:28Speaker 1: and one of the things will propelled me to create
- 4:31Speaker 1: my own social currency, which is capital Coin, was what
- 4:36Speaker 1: we could do inside of the neighborhood, and how I
- 4:37Speaker 1: could approach it by being able to add a discount
- 4:40Speaker 1: price everywhere that capital Coin is accepted. Um, so now
- 4:45Speaker 1: you're playing the game is a staying fast and holding
- 4:47Speaker 1: lot of chips to everything go back up. This is
- 4:50Speaker 1: a real way for people to we get rich, more
- 4:54Speaker 1: wealthy than they've ever seen by just playing the game
- 4:57Speaker 1: a little bit. Well, can you help me out a
- 5:00Speaker 1: little bit, because I kid you not, Jim, I've had
- 5:03Speaker 1: probably about thirty people on my show and trying to
- 5:07Speaker 1: slow my brain down, wrap my brain around what exactly
- 5:11Speaker 1: is cryptocurrency? You know, I got in this sense that
- 5:14Speaker 1: you know, one one conversation had you know, well, you
- 5:16Speaker 1: have a credit card, and then on a credit card
- 5:19Speaker 1: you have a credit line, and but in cryptocurrency you
- 5:24Speaker 1: have a wallet and that wallet allows you to make purchases.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Can you help me and make my audience to tell
- 5:30Speaker 1: us exactly how does cryptocurrency work and why we should
- 5:34Speaker 1: be involved in it? Well, cryptal currency is another digital woman.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Pretty soon a physical dollar will be no more. All
- 5:40Speaker 1: back institutions will only be using digital money, and crypto
- 5:42Speaker 1: currency is a forward digital money. I'm not a financial advisable.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I can't advise people that there's something you need to
- 5:48Speaker 1: tap into all and yes, the first thing you should
- 5:51Speaker 1: do is find a good crypto wallet so that you
- 5:53Speaker 1: can't stoll us on all your cryptocurrencies on in your
- 5:56Speaker 1: uh uh uh. You know know it's not as difficult
- 6:02Speaker 1: as people see them. Just like you have to be
- 6:03Speaker 1: a bank card and your bank account staring your money.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It all has to do with numbers and to stop mother.
- 6:09Speaker 1: There's a crypto curcy can't go up or it can
- 6:11Speaker 1: go down, so you have to be very keen. But
- 6:13Speaker 1: they have different things where you can take your money
- 6:15Speaker 1: out and put it in these secure crypto counsel with
- 6:18Speaker 1: your money don't drop, go up. I mean there's a
- 6:21Speaker 1: lot of different ways you can go about about it,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and you start to see it this ways for you
- 6:25Speaker 1: to make sure you secure your money, so don't get scared.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Uh all the things that people say about it's is
- 6:32Speaker 1: definitely the future and it's definitely not going anywhere. This
- 6:35Speaker 1: is how we're all gonna have to spend our money
- 6:37Speaker 1: pretty soon. There's no way around it. Absolutely going to
- 6:40Speaker 1: restaurants right now. You know they won't take cash, they
- 6:43Speaker 1: want to credit card exactly exactly, so it's the same difference.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Pretty soon and to be tapped into crypto. We'll be
- 6:50Speaker 1: right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rushan McDonald. Now,
- 6:56Speaker 1: let's return to Money Making Conversations master Class with Rashan McDonald.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Here's the interesting thing about you know, started my life,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I worked at IBM, and then I left IBM to
- 7:08Speaker 1: be a stand up comic. So I was making all
- 7:09Speaker 1: my money physically. You know, if I don't walked on stage,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I gotta check. Same way with you. You walked on stage,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you perform, or the music you got checks. Now you
- 7:18Speaker 1: enter this multiple streams of income now without a plan
- 7:24Speaker 1: action that you put in place, or you just saw
- 7:26Speaker 1: opportunities you started investing your money in places you feel comfortable. No,
- 7:32Speaker 1: I wasn't no plan of action. Was just this life like.
- 7:35Speaker 1: The more opportunities I can have for myself, the better
- 7:38Speaker 1: chances I have become successful. Added more money to the path.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Um and I'm from home. Oh you learned about was
- 7:44Speaker 1: hustling When you hold hustles, doesn't necessarily mean hustle the
- 7:48Speaker 1: jobs and music hustle or something to make some money.
- 7:50Speaker 1: That was very good at that, I figured, why not
- 7:53Speaker 1: the most average average engine, the average million, it has
- 7:56Speaker 1: about seven seven hustles or seven jobs they sayde hustle. Um.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I got a little bit more than that. So I'm
- 8:03Speaker 1: doing pretty good out here. But I challenged myself to
- 8:05Speaker 1: take on different things that excite me. UM. There's a
- 8:08Speaker 1: lot of things that interest me. So I start to
- 8:11Speaker 1: find myself taking on opportunities as they present themselves, because
- 8:14Speaker 1: they probably won't present itself twice. But one are the
- 8:16Speaker 1: ones that we stood out the most to me was
- 8:18Speaker 1: the Richmond Rough Riders. How did you get involved in
- 8:20Speaker 1: the football team? Um? Opportunity present itself to my influence,
- 8:25Speaker 1: how influence who I am and when I could bring
- 8:27Speaker 1: to the table? Um, And I thought that for what
- 8:31Speaker 1: it was, what it was where I was at in
- 8:33Speaker 1: my position is that it can be a great thing
- 8:35Speaker 1: for the hip hop community as we can to create
- 8:38Speaker 1: our own multi cultural football league and uh the arena football. UM.
- 8:45Speaker 1: It's a it's a great business. It's very lucrative. UM.
- 8:50Speaker 1: And I do think if they asked the marketing was
- 8:52Speaker 1: Condor Parson from from the culture it can be a
- 8:55Speaker 1: multi multi million million dollar business. UM, probably billion dollar
- 9:01Speaker 1: business wants we touch it. So that was my old
- 9:05Speaker 1: strategy and becoming a par owner of the read the
- 9:08Speaker 1: focal team. Who knows, maybe down the line, I might
- 9:11Speaker 1: indulge in more of this arena football, Uh, some mixed
- 9:15Speaker 1: smoke sports. But it was very fun, very educational. UM
- 9:19Speaker 1: learned a lot about the sport. Well, you know, the
- 9:21Speaker 1: beauty of what you're doing is that we know that
- 9:24Speaker 1: content is came and we know that the more they stream,
- 9:28Speaker 1: they gotta have content. And that's why you know, me
- 9:31Speaker 1: asking that question, it was not a question why are
- 9:33Speaker 1: you're doing that. It's of course that you're getting in
- 9:35Speaker 1: early when they when they're getting the small before it
- 9:38Speaker 1: becomes large. You know, like several years ago, you know,
- 9:41Speaker 1: you can buy an NBA team for seven hundred thousand dollars,
- 9:44Speaker 1: not about to sell the Phoenix Suns from one point
- 9:46Speaker 1: eight billion dollars. And so that's just several years ago.
- 9:49Speaker 1: We're not talking about ten years ago, like five years ago.
- 9:52Speaker 1: That's how the cost of an NBA team was. And
- 9:54Speaker 1: so now you're looking at this a f L team
- 9:56Speaker 1: and going Okay, I'm making it. I'm just talking to
- 9:58Speaker 1: my audience as I talked to you. Is sometimes you
- 10:01Speaker 1: have to be a visionary when you're making your investments
- 10:03Speaker 1: and see why the how these platforms are being uh
- 10:06Speaker 1: viewed at when you when all these competitors are out
- 10:09Speaker 1: there trying to feel time through streaming, feeling time because
- 10:13Speaker 1: all of the networks are grabbing all the content. So
- 10:16Speaker 1: these networks are going to have to have content, So
- 10:18Speaker 1: why not you? Yes, of course the right one. That
- 10:24Speaker 1: exactly my thought. But that's what I like to do.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'd like to get into businesses that the culture has
- 10:29Speaker 1: not already commercialized, like, uh so I have uh tobacco
- 10:38Speaker 1: deal for some tobacco leaves. Stud that uh marijuana is
- 10:43Speaker 1: um legal was the thirty eight states, so where we
- 10:48Speaker 1: were buying some guards before we can now market directed
- 10:51Speaker 1: consumer for people that smoke. But I want us and
- 10:54Speaker 1: I know that nobody has really infiltrated. Is that the
- 10:57Speaker 1: saucy farms and extracts. That's actually that's actually a matter
- 11:00Speaker 1: of one and shouts of souci falls tobacco. What we
- 11:03Speaker 1: roll out my mind and go back. So there's no
- 11:09Speaker 1: difference than what Puffy is doing with siroc or J
- 11:12Speaker 1: doesn't as state on, this's gonna come from the tobacco.
- 11:15Speaker 1: As you know, tobacco, alcohol and firearms run the United States.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Come on, come on, first Amendment, Come on, now, come
- 11:25Speaker 1: on with the second, third, fourth, fifth. They're gonna keep
- 11:27Speaker 1: it all. But you know the thing about it is
- 11:30Speaker 1: that you know, I've seen your career. You know, I've
- 11:33Speaker 1: been us as we all and then I then I
- 11:36Speaker 1: see how you've you've tapped in, like you said, loving
- 11:39Speaker 1: hip hop, you know, which is an iconic reality show.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You know, it's so iconic that you'd be watching football
- 11:46Speaker 1: on Fox and they got commercials. You know, that's how
- 11:49Speaker 1: it has transcended the community. When you came up with that,
- 11:52Speaker 1: they said one of the co creators, talk Walkers, walked
- 11:55Speaker 1: me through the steps of how that process worked with you,
- 11:57Speaker 1: how the idea came upon you, and then seeing it
- 12:00Speaker 1: becoming the iconic show because you have put the iconic
- 12:03Speaker 1: on it, because it was just it was just just
- 12:06Speaker 1: a hip hop show. It was just it was my
- 12:09Speaker 1: lady had a chance to do some reality TV. It
- 12:12Speaker 1: didn't go It didn't go down for her the way
- 12:14Speaker 1: it was supposed to. I had opportunity to do it
- 12:16Speaker 1: with Jim ackumen Over VHRU, who was running things. UM
- 12:20Speaker 1: took a meeting with him, told him what I had
- 12:22Speaker 1: on the table. He said, let's run it. Let figure
- 12:25Speaker 1: out a synopsis. Gave him a synopsis, gave him the
- 12:28Speaker 1: name Love and Hip Hop at that time, I know
- 12:33Speaker 1: what the opportunity was was I didn't know, I said,
- 12:37Speaker 1: I didn't understand that. It wasn't knowledgeable how important the
- 12:41Speaker 1: business was at that time because I was making much
- 12:43Speaker 1: money and uh, lady by the name of Mona Scott
- 12:48Speaker 1: was knowledgeable of how girl, my girl and I was
- 12:51Speaker 1: putting together. So I was bitter with her for a
- 12:54Speaker 1: long time for her for the movie that she made
- 12:57Speaker 1: was it was business and understood so you know, but
- 13:00Speaker 1: me and my lady was smart enough to walk away
- 13:02Speaker 1: from very early because he did. We ain't gonna compromise
- 13:06Speaker 1: of integrity for anyone. And yeah, you know, I tip
- 13:09Speaker 1: my hat to those who made a success of the show.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Have to be left UM how people should be telling
- 13:15Speaker 1: me thank you. Everybody's on the show should be telling
- 13:17Speaker 1: me thank you, because it definitely willow at all. Nobody
- 13:20Speaker 1: would be doing no Love and hip hop or getting
- 13:22Speaker 1: no love and hip hop checks if it wasn't for
- 13:24Speaker 1: me at all, has nothing to do with moment, has
- 13:26Speaker 1: everything to do the inception of what was created, and
- 13:29Speaker 1: that was created by Jim Jones, Christie Lampkin and Emily
- 13:34Speaker 1: boost Monty. That's what I wanted to hear. But you
- 13:36Speaker 1: know the thing about it, when you do something like that, man,
- 13:39Speaker 1: you change the game. Brother, you know the whole you
- 13:41Speaker 1: know introduced. Are you sheeling and losing? Yeah? Man, father,
- 13:47Speaker 1: I don't know what just happened. My phone is dropped up,
- 13:48Speaker 1: but we're back. Yeah cool, because we were just you know,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I was just complimenting you on a on a game
- 13:54Speaker 1: change and visionary show that it's really what you're talking about.
- 13:57Speaker 1: They ain't you talk about all these shows they laid there,
- 14:00Speaker 1: They laid the foundation about what you presented and then
- 14:03Speaker 1: to see the show at this level now. But also
- 14:06Speaker 1: just giving credit that a visionary that all sat down
- 14:09Speaker 1: and said this is what it should be. Here's the name.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Ride with me, Trust with me, and that has been
- 14:14Speaker 1: basically your career throughout music, is that people have trusted
- 14:17Speaker 1: you and what do what do you? What do you
- 14:19Speaker 1: lay that quality down? Just to being consistent, A man
- 14:21Speaker 1: of your word. What do you tie that to? Um,
- 14:26Speaker 1: both of us a number of things, but definitely being
- 14:30Speaker 1: a man of my word. Inconsistency of being consistent is
- 14:34Speaker 1: everything to me. Like I tell people all the time,
- 14:37Speaker 1: when you can't they motivated, stay consistent and consistency is
- 14:40Speaker 1: gonna bring back all the motivation you need. Um. And
- 14:44Speaker 1: just putting in hard work as as as clichet as
- 14:47Speaker 1: it may sound, we gotta put you forward. Oh here, Um,
- 14:51Speaker 1: that always work. And being able to think outside the box,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like everybody think the normal.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I think the thing is to stand out in today's
- 15:01Speaker 1: well instead of standing and London and everybody else. And
- 15:05Speaker 1: these are some of the things that I always trying
- 15:07Speaker 1: to do and making my decisions to make business. We'll
- 15:11Speaker 1: be right back with more Money Making Conversations master Class
- 15:15Speaker 1: with Rushan McDonald. Now let's return to Money Making Conversations
- 15:21Speaker 1: master Class with Rushan McDonald. And that is the fun.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I've been having a great time talking to you, but
- 15:27Speaker 1: the fun part of this was just watching you do
- 15:29Speaker 1: the Drip Report. It's been renewed for a six season
- 15:32Speaker 1: of Revote. Tell me how you got into that the
- 15:35Speaker 1: whole fact that you're doing real weather for real. That
- 15:38Speaker 1: meeting that and and then tied hip hop and tying
- 15:41Speaker 1: your style to it was that original concept that that
- 15:45Speaker 1: you thought of. Somebody came you said, what do you
- 15:47Speaker 1: think about this? Um? Well, it's It's started with Hurricane
- 15:53Speaker 1: Erbi in Miami a few years ago and I had
- 15:56Speaker 1: to go down there. Christie didn't want to leave, so
- 15:58Speaker 1: we were stuck in the miss the hurricane. Colleague of mindset,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you might as well give him a weather report while
- 16:04Speaker 1: you're out there, you play about play, which is what
- 16:07Speaker 1: we did, give my own version of the weather. So
- 16:14Speaker 1: I love what people like. You'll start talking, you're missing
- 16:17Speaker 1: all these beautiful steps all right coming about So you
- 16:20Speaker 1: was on your Instagram doing it? Where were you at
- 16:22Speaker 1: giving on Instagram? M Christie was helping me, recorded uh
- 16:28Speaker 1: do it on the balcony to end up going supervivirou
- 16:31Speaker 1: um propelled me to do it a few more times.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Got some calls from like Nori was like, now you
- 16:36Speaker 1: gotta you gotta do that, y'all. That's a good one.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I kept with it, kept with it for like another
- 16:41Speaker 1: year here and then hitting it on the Gram and
- 16:44Speaker 1: then U that opportunity to meet uh the tao for
- 16:48Speaker 1: me and UM who is the CEO of Revote right now?
- 16:51Speaker 1: He wasn't a Revote at the time. Um he did
- 16:54Speaker 1: something sticky like y'all. I like his show. I don't
- 16:58Speaker 1: know how long I'm gonna be here at this position,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but whatever ago, I would like to take take this
- 17:01Speaker 1: show I did with me and see if you can happen.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And that's what you did end up Revote. Um Drip
- 17:08Speaker 1: Report is now going on the sixth season. UM going
- 17:11Speaker 1: to add a couple of little twist to it this season. UM,
- 17:16Speaker 1: fun show. I look forward to uh to doing the weather. Um.
- 17:20Speaker 1: It gives me a peace of mind. I like it. Well,
- 17:22Speaker 1: you know what what I like is the is the
- 17:24Speaker 1: is the when you start talking about the clothes, now
- 17:26Speaker 1: talk about these are these particular relationships you have or
- 17:31Speaker 1: they're part of your any closed lines that you're launching
- 17:34Speaker 1: because of Because that really, to me, is an opportunity
- 17:38Speaker 1: for young artists to get exposure through your brand, through
- 17:41Speaker 1: your through your iconic statue. How does the wardrobe come
- 17:44Speaker 1: together on each show? Um? That the stylus UM. And
- 17:49Speaker 1: for the life of me, I've been pretty influencial when
- 17:54Speaker 1: it comes to uh, the drip and the style absolutely
- 17:57Speaker 1: absolutely um. And then I give an opportunity for up
- 18:01Speaker 1: and coming black designers to send me someone thank you
- 18:04Speaker 1: they're clod Duct and showcase it on the screen and
- 18:07Speaker 1: I thank you. I was doing that for free for
- 18:09Speaker 1: like the first five seasons, but I think it's pretty fair.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I'll continue to do different things like that, but it's
- 18:15Speaker 1: gonna start to cost a couple of dollars now you go.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But but what we're gonna come with, Jim, you are entrepreneur.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I can't believe you're not saying, Rachel, Look, I got
- 18:25Speaker 1: some I got some some some some shoes coming out.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I got some pans, and I got why the drip
- 18:31Speaker 1: reports should be you. You should be dripping hun hundred
- 18:35Speaker 1: a hundred million percent. And this ship I will starts
- 18:39Speaker 1: to showcase some of uh the clothing lines that there
- 18:43Speaker 1: you go, drift, some merch for people to buy, some
- 18:47Speaker 1: natural drip report merch that you can buy, some brothers
- 18:52Speaker 1: things like that. So yeah, this season, as soon as
- 18:57Speaker 1: that Brella come out, I got to get one brother.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I got to get there right now. I got to
- 19:04Speaker 1: get the umbrella. I'm based in Atlanta. Little tell to
- 19:07Speaker 1: whoever your PR person said, Richard wants the first umbrella
- 19:11Speaker 1: in Atlanta, and I'm gonna posted the Droop Report right
- 19:15Speaker 1: here in Atlanta. Got the umbrella. I love it, man.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You know the thing about it. I love the you know,
- 19:25Speaker 1: like I'm enthusiastic about everything I see that you're doing
- 19:28Speaker 1: with your career. You know, we met you back in
- 19:31Speaker 1: two thousand and six when I was doing a TV show,
- 19:34Speaker 1: uh the Barbershop and uh and just to see the
- 19:37Speaker 1: your your game and your thought process and to see
- 19:40Speaker 1: the What I love about you when I watched the
- 19:43Speaker 1: show is that it's an honest, fun show. You're not
- 19:46Speaker 1: taking yourself serious, but what you delivering information that is serious.
- 19:51Speaker 1: And when you get your interviews, they're short but effective.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Is that intentional because a lot of times interviews, you know,
- 19:58Speaker 1: they go ten minutes, fifteen minutes like this, and used
- 20:00Speaker 1: like twenty minutes. Is that? Is that the goal to
- 20:03Speaker 1: keep it short like that and to keep the segment
- 20:05Speaker 1: movement because it's very effective. Yeah. I mean for to
- 20:10Speaker 1: do for the average watching today, they watched and listen
- 20:14Speaker 1: to they watch TV faster, they listen to music fast.
- 20:17Speaker 1: People tend to have a short attention spanding we have
- 20:19Speaker 1: before because we have these cell phones and social media
- 20:22Speaker 1: and everything. So the quicker and more effective I could
- 20:27Speaker 1: get my point across through the show is better for
- 20:29Speaker 1: me and the market. Hit those important points that UH
- 20:34Speaker 1: lasts with people forever. It hits ald with me, It
- 20:40Speaker 1: hits told with me, and it hits told with me
- 20:41Speaker 1: and they and they buy into it because they give
- 20:43Speaker 1: they were the report where they at, which I love too.
- 20:46Speaker 1: A couple of things I want to wrap up because
- 20:47Speaker 1: you're a businessman. I kind of ran over through it,
- 20:50Speaker 1: ran through it when I introduce you give me some
- 20:52Speaker 1: background on vamp TV and then also Saucy Farms and
- 20:56Speaker 1: that's tracks well their TV us. UH well A quantity studio.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Quantity studio, I have a I build a technology the
- 21:04Speaker 1: a WS UM. UH figured out how to record virtually
- 21:11Speaker 1: in real time UMA A and R damn making be
- 21:15Speaker 1: in space UM something I've created seven albums during the pandemic,
- 21:19Speaker 1: UM very useful. UM was able to show a WS
- 21:23Speaker 1: what UH figured out through using other platforms in my
- 21:26Speaker 1: favorite in the concluty mind. So now I have a
- 21:30Speaker 1: UH technology care quarantine studios at a ws. That's the
- 21:34Speaker 1: back end. I'm trying to work on building the front end.
- 21:36Speaker 1: As you know, it becomes kind of pricey one you
- 21:40Speaker 1: build the websites and attachments and all this. I'm not
- 21:43Speaker 1: and I'm not the most technical person or the most nerdy,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but I kind of understand the way things run. Looks
- 21:52Speaker 1: like you need the venture capitalist there, Jim. You need
- 21:55Speaker 1: the venture capitalis that comes to a VC board to
- 21:57Speaker 1: come in on. Yeah, I do, I do. I had
- 21:59Speaker 1: a couple of use with them. Mom. It's kind of
- 22:03Speaker 1: hard to explain to somebody something that sounds like witchcraft
- 22:06Speaker 1: when you're telling him. So I have to actually physically
- 22:10Speaker 1: show people with this quarantine studio things about so they
- 22:13Speaker 1: can actually get it. UM. But we still push forward.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I know somebody's coming with where we need to make
- 22:19Speaker 1: the business uh functional bull and I'm can't wait for
- 22:23Speaker 1: that day. And I know that did soon. And Sausa
- 22:26Speaker 1: Farms sci Farms is a marijuana company that UM have
- 22:32Speaker 1: a bit of ownership in it. UM currently did a
- 22:34Speaker 1: deal with Jay Z's Big Marijuana Band for distribution. So
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm not as hands on as I used to be,
- 22:42Speaker 1: you know, I'm just sitting away for the big check
- 22:44Speaker 1: to come. But I am working with High Tolerance, which
- 22:47Speaker 1: is another marijuana company, and we're doing some big things.
- 22:49Speaker 1: We just started. Just got out. We decided the stores
- 22:53Speaker 1: means well as he has. I can't feel my face
- 22:55Speaker 1: and I have knocked out. We just finished doing a big,
- 22:59Speaker 1: big troll this summer, so I was my one is
- 23:03Speaker 1: legal in thirty eight states. And the next thing, you listen,
- 23:10Speaker 1: I love talking to you because it's like talking to them.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You know, it's a it's a wild conversation talking to
- 23:16Speaker 1: you because you, like you said, I just get that check.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You know, you just turn just I just get that check,
- 23:21Speaker 1: you get that mailbox, money coming in. You know you're
- 23:24Speaker 1: dripping on TV. You know, Rishan go have him my
- 23:27Speaker 1: umbrella and Atlanta dripping port umbrella coming soon. I just
- 23:31Speaker 1: love it. Man. Congratulations brother. That's why I just wanted
- 23:34Speaker 1: to talk because like you know, man, we we we
- 23:38Speaker 1: we're getting this business as entertainers and we just grinding. Man.
- 23:41Speaker 1: We we don't look five years ahead. We don't look
- 23:44Speaker 1: tenures ahead. But that's a business person. You do look
- 23:47Speaker 1: like that. That's a difference. We do look like that.
- 23:49Speaker 1: We do look like the legacy talk because This is
- 23:52Speaker 1: assets and that's what you build it right now as assets.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It has to make you feel good. Uh yeah, it
- 23:58Speaker 1: definitely makes me feel good, especially for where I was.
- 24:00Speaker 1: That anybody goes through the up and downs, and this
- 24:02Speaker 1: is how you get back up and on the grace
- 24:04Speaker 1: of guard, I was able to get back up and
- 24:06Speaker 1: keep moving. So to be here right now from where
- 24:08Speaker 1: I was a few years ago, there's no better gratification.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I feel good for gratifications. Did you took time to
- 24:15Speaker 1: tell me, my audience and my fans that you're doing great?
- 24:18Speaker 1: You're looking good, man, and I'm continue to support you
- 24:20Speaker 1: and again, brother, God bless you man and keep being you.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Jim Jones, thank you very much. Man. When I get
- 24:27Speaker 1: to Atlanta, I'm gonna look you up and be house
- 24:29Speaker 1: and dinner, so absolutely it comes from I. I'll show
- 24:31Speaker 1: you my little palacial place. Man. I think I think
