- 0:26Speaker 1: stum Please, Mommy, I don't join ya joined me to
- 0:51Speaker 1: be doing me. You gotta turn, you gotta turn, turn, turn,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you got to turn them out. Turn the water, the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your back. Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shall will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show man, o man o man? How
- 2:14Speaker 1: many times I got to say that before I get
- 2:17Speaker 1: tired of it. I think it's gonna be a minute, folks.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I gotta be real with you, because, boy that Steve
- 2:24Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show man. Clear indication of how
- 2:29Speaker 1: God can do some unexpected, wonderful things for you, how
- 2:35Speaker 1: he leads your life in directions that you never ever
- 2:38Speaker 1: saw coming. You know, I was talking with somebody the
- 2:40Speaker 1: other day and they were talking about how man, they
- 2:43Speaker 1: were young and they were doing things, and they never
- 2:46Speaker 1: knew that the things that they were doing as a
- 2:48Speaker 1: youngster would come and he helped form who they were
- 2:54Speaker 1: today as an adult. This guy's fifty years old, and
- 2:59Speaker 1: you know the same thing for you, If you look
- 3:01Speaker 1: back on your life and all of the things that
- 3:04Speaker 1: you've done, it helps shape you into who you are now.
- 3:08Speaker 1: This is provided now that you take the positive approach. Now,
- 3:13Speaker 1: when I say look back at your life and see
- 3:15Speaker 1: what you've done, that doesn't mean dwell on the misfortunate moments,
- 3:19Speaker 1: because the misfortunate moments were necessary. I know it. It's
- 3:23Speaker 1: hard to see that when it's happening to you, but
- 3:26Speaker 1: the unfortunate moments are necessary. You know, what really makes
- 3:31Speaker 1: you appreciate summer vacation is winter work. What really makes
- 3:36Speaker 1: you appreciate a walk on the beach, it's when it's cold,
- 3:39Speaker 1: it is raining outside. What really makes you appreciate when
- 3:44Speaker 1: you're up, it's because you've been down. See if you
- 3:48Speaker 1: are up all the time. Just the nature of us
- 3:52Speaker 1: as human beings, we would lose our appreciation for because
- 3:55Speaker 1: it becomes case urah, whatever it is, well, it is
- 3:59Speaker 1: what it is. I'm just what what what you take
- 4:02Speaker 1: it for? Granted, it becomes expected, But what happens in life, say,
- 4:05Speaker 1: is it has so many twisting turns, and then you
- 4:09Speaker 1: learn how to deal with those twisting turns, which makes
- 4:12Speaker 1: you now a more experienced person. And then when the
- 4:15Speaker 1: sunny days come, man, you go wild. It's really nice outside.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You really want to appreciate how warm weather. Just stay
- 4:21Speaker 1: in a bunch of cold weather all the time. I'm
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I'm just this is really
- 4:25Speaker 1: really simple and now analogies, but it helps you along
- 4:29Speaker 1: the way. Now here's what I came to say today
- 4:33Speaker 1: to everybody out there. And this has helped me in
- 4:36Speaker 1: my life. I can't tell you what it's done for me.
- 4:40Speaker 1: But a lot of people are struggling with moving forward
- 4:45Speaker 1: with their future, their future plans, their future goals, their
- 4:50Speaker 1: future aspirations, their future hopes, their future dreams. Just simply
- 4:56Speaker 1: that your future wants a lot of people trying to
- 4:59Speaker 1: have a hard time mapping out their future. Even what
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna do, what I'm gonna be, what I'm gonna
- 5:06Speaker 1: make ham or go about it? What do I do next?
- 5:10Speaker 1: I want to share something with you that I had
- 5:12Speaker 1: to come to terms with. The quickest way to lose
- 5:16Speaker 1: focus on your future is to keep focusing on your past.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You know. It's like I said at the beginning. You
- 5:23Speaker 1: know when I say it's wonderful to look at your
- 5:26Speaker 1: life and review it, because if you look at it,
- 5:29Speaker 1: it'll tell you it really helps shape inform you today
- 5:34Speaker 1: as the person you are now if you look at
- 5:37Speaker 1: it in a positive sense. But if you dwell in
- 5:40Speaker 1: harp on the negative that's happened to you, then that
- 5:44Speaker 1: keeps you from seeing the good in the incident, every
- 5:47Speaker 1: bad thing has happened to you, that was a silver
- 5:50Speaker 1: lining behind it. I know people who were on drugs
- 5:54Speaker 1: who finally, man just got sent to prison for stealing
- 5:57Speaker 1: because of their habit. I know cats so dope. Well,
- 6:01Speaker 1: he went to prison. He told me one time. He said, Steve,
- 6:05Speaker 1: it's a man. This is the best thing ever happened
- 6:07Speaker 1: to me to save my life. Now, most people would think,
- 6:10Speaker 1: how in the world is going to prison helpful for you?
- 6:14Speaker 1: The brother said, it saved my life. First of all,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it got me clean. He said, I've been cleaned for
- 6:20Speaker 1: five years from sitting in him. That's for starters. I'm cleaned.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I ain't still in no more. I ain't putting myself
- 6:27Speaker 1: in jeopard and I ain't jeopardizing nobody else. He said, Now, man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I don't went to college. I didn't got a college
- 6:34Speaker 1: degree while I met him. Then he was released from prison,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and the brother's life was completely turned around. He married,
- 6:42Speaker 1: he got a family, he got a great job. He
- 6:45Speaker 1: go to work every day. He's a productive citizen. I mean.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So he looks back on his incarceration, even his drug abuse,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and it taught him how to appreciate the things in
- 6:58Speaker 1: life that he had taken for granted and was missing
- 7:01Speaker 1: because he said, man, my life was just in a blur.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I didn't even know what was going on. He said,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Now I appreciate every day I wake up. That's what
- 7:09Speaker 1: I mean. Even in your missteps in life, there is
- 7:13Speaker 1: a purpose for the missteps. Every time you fail, there
- 7:17Speaker 1: was a reason for the failure. See what I had
- 7:21Speaker 1: to do was I had to learn that all of
- 7:23Speaker 1: my failures taught me how to get back up. So
- 7:27Speaker 1: I became a very strong and tough person in getting
- 7:30Speaker 1: back up. And then I was down and out so
- 7:33Speaker 1: long that it taught me how to really appreciate the up.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And so I've taken all of that and used it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Those experiences that happened to me, and I became a
- 7:44Speaker 1: more experienced person. So next time when people talk about
- 7:48Speaker 1: me who don't know me, it don't shake me. Because
- 7:52Speaker 1: everybody's not gonna like you. Man, you might as well
- 7:54Speaker 1: gonna get on this train right now. And so what
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm saying to you out there is the quick. This
- 8:00Speaker 1: way to lose focus on your future is to keep
- 8:02Speaker 1: focusing on your path. Let it go. Yeah yeah, yeah
- 8:06Speaker 1: he left. But like I told us lady on my
- 8:08Speaker 1: TV show the other day, sometimes the breakup is the blessing.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I know it's hard to break up because now you're
- 8:14Speaker 1: loaning you by yourself. But man, but when you're in misery,
- 8:17Speaker 1: when you was in that, weren't you in complete misery
- 8:22Speaker 1: in that? Now you kept asking God to fix it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But it takes two people to fix a relationship. It
- 8:27Speaker 1: don't just take one. It takes two to make a
- 8:31Speaker 1: thing go right. It takes two to make it out
- 8:34Speaker 1: of sight. You really do have to have two people
- 8:37Speaker 1: wanting a relationship to work. It can't just be one
- 8:40Speaker 1: person want a relationship, so you can pray about the
- 8:43Speaker 1: relationship all you want. If the other person don't want
- 8:46Speaker 1: you no more and ain't gonna act right, you can't
- 8:48Speaker 1: make him do that or you can't make her do that.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But you steady asking God for a new relationship. But
- 8:56Speaker 1: you are yet to be grateful that you are in
- 9:00Speaker 1: a position to have a relationship. And you keep harping
- 9:03Speaker 1: on the pass. You don't think he hear that. I'm
- 9:06Speaker 1: just a dude with a show, and I hear it
- 9:08Speaker 1: all the time. Let it go, go forward. It's over.
- 9:12Speaker 1: You made it, He bought you through it. You survived it.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Why are you dwelling on it and making it the
- 9:20Speaker 1: cross around your neck when clearly he had removed it
- 9:24Speaker 1: for you. Now all you got to do is come on.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So if you're sitting behind him walls, brothers and sisters,
- 9:30Speaker 1: I'm talking directly to you sometimes. Man, you just got
- 9:33Speaker 1: to get it right. All this repeat of fitting the
- 9:36Speaker 1: business that's for? Who is that for? How ignorant can
- 9:40Speaker 1: you be to keep giving your life back to the
- 9:43Speaker 1: penal system? Be free, man, walk the streets, do the
- 9:46Speaker 1: right thing. Ask God to help connect you. He could
- 9:49Speaker 1: do anything. You think he can't give you a job?
- 9:52Speaker 1: Are you serious? Man, put some faith on it. Let's
- 9:54Speaker 1: move forward, y'all. Let it go. Let's move Ladies and
- 10:02Speaker 1: gentlemen may have your attention. Please. First of all, let
- 10:06Speaker 1: me make the announcement that I am absolutely fine. I'm
- 10:10Speaker 1: absolutely wonderful now. Yesterday on Sunday, I'll admit I was
- 10:16Speaker 1: on Suicide Watch. Brown's bass so damn bad and we
- 10:22Speaker 1: are such high hopes. So I was on Suicide watchman.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I want y'all know I'm fine now because I gathered
- 10:28Speaker 1: myself when I discovered something. If they don't give a
- 10:30Speaker 1: damn about winning, why the hell shit out? Went outside?

- 12:12Speaker 1: line that I that you know, I've been wanting to
- 12:15Speaker 1: be on TV since I was a kid. But that
- 12:18Speaker 1: was the line in nineteen seventy five that I was
- 12:21Speaker 1: standing in the bathroom in college and I go to
- 12:25Speaker 1: my mama's household breaking stand in that bathroom and saying
- 12:28Speaker 1: that soul. Man, I've acted out my life on stages
- 12:32Speaker 1: with ten thousand people watching, but we are alone and
- 12:36Speaker 1: I'm singing this song for you. Steve. This is what
- 12:40Speaker 1: me and Jackie dance do at a wedding. This was
- 12:44Speaker 1: the first song. Oh man, this was it. Man, this
- 12:49Speaker 1: is my song. I'm telling you so I ain't heard
- 12:52Speaker 1: this version that you're talking about he's not a musical guy,
- 12:58Speaker 1: Jay Jay Jake. The song right after that was Humpty Dance.
- 13:07Speaker 1: We'll stop what you're doing because I'm about to ruin
- 13:10Speaker 1: right there. He's not a music hey man, So just
- 13:14Speaker 1: let him have that. That's his song, but that's it,

- 13:47Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, guys, ESPN, Stephen A.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Smith will be in the building as our special guest.
- 13:53Speaker 1: He's gonna, yeah, he's gonna talk about the Antonio Brown drama.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Right now, let's find out what you guys did over
- 14:01Speaker 1: the weekend, Steve, I know yours was pretty sad. Well, yeah,
- 14:04Speaker 1: now let me tell you something, man. Uh, my wife's
- 14:08Speaker 1: oude of town. I'm in Atlanta, So I decided that
- 14:13Speaker 1: I wanted to have some healthy snacks for the football
- 14:16Speaker 1: game because I'm trying to get my weight down from
- 14:18Speaker 1: the vacation. Right. So I went to the grocery store
- 14:25Speaker 1: at seven am when it opened by yourself. Yes, now, yes,
- 14:31Speaker 1: and let me tell you what happened. There's a grocery
- 14:34Speaker 1: store out where I lived called Sprouts Farmers Mark. I
- 14:39Speaker 1: drove it. I'm in the parking lot, parking lot empty.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm just driving around. I don't see no damn signs
- 14:46Speaker 1: say Sprouts. All of a sudden, I stopped. I'm looking
- 14:51Speaker 1: at the front door of what I thought was Sprouts.
- 14:53Speaker 1: As man goes, Uh, Steve Harvey, how you doing? Said?
- 14:57Speaker 1: How you doing? So? I said, I'm must have made
- 15:00Speaker 1: the wrong turn. I was looking for Sprouts. He said,
- 15:03Speaker 1: Sprouts been closed. I said, damn okay. He said, croger
- 15:11Speaker 1: is still open. So I go across the street to
- 15:16Speaker 1: Croger's at seven am. I walk in. Nobody's there. I
- 15:23Speaker 1: give me the smallest, you know, the little short grocery carts,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and I'm walking and Lord Jesus, can I tell y'all something.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I discovered some things that I did not know because
- 15:34Speaker 1: I haven't been in a grocery store when I tell
- 15:36Speaker 1: you in years, let me tell you years, I believe
- 15:40Speaker 1: it yourself. Yeah, nobody they got park They still sell
- 15:46Speaker 1: pork ryns. Yeah, pork ryns are big right now, Steve,
- 15:52Speaker 1: because of the Keto diet everybody. That's something I didn't
- 15:55Speaker 1: know that Chili. I saw pork ryns. I started to
- 15:58Speaker 1: take picture of all this. I started to do a video,
- 16:00Speaker 1: but I said, no, skip it. So I'm in the
- 16:03Speaker 1: store and I'm going around. Here was the dilemma. It's
- 16:07Speaker 1: time to check out. Now I'm walking. I don't know
- 16:12Speaker 1: that the first foe lines coming from the dairy section
- 16:16Speaker 1: the ice cream is a self checkout. Yes, I have
- 16:23Speaker 1: no idea what this is. So I'm standing there and
- 16:28Speaker 1: I'm waiting on the lady. I'm going. Man. Back in
- 16:34Speaker 1: the day, this would be an easy steal for me,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I could go straight out the door. So finally the
- 16:40Speaker 1: lady walks up and says, oh, you need some help,
- 16:43Speaker 1: mister Harvey. I said, yeah, I just way to check out.
- 16:45Speaker 1: She said, you do it yourself. Oh she knew you.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, So I said, doing myself house. She said,
- 16:53Speaker 1: just bring it over and put it in the the bag
- 16:54Speaker 1: and pay for no. So I looked over there. I said, well,
- 16:57Speaker 1: ain't that somebody working at him like that? She said, yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you can go to check out line. Say go, let
- 17:01Speaker 1: me do that, because I don't. I don't want nobody
- 17:04Speaker 1: stopping me to do. So I go over there and
- 17:06Speaker 1: the lady scans my stuff. She's speaking to me morning,
- 17:10Speaker 1: mister Harvey. It's nice to see you in here. Never
- 17:12Speaker 1: seen you in here before. I said, well, I ain't
- 17:14Speaker 1: been in here. She says, okay, one hundred and thirty
- 17:18Speaker 1: nine dollars. And so I decide to pay with the
- 17:22Speaker 1: credit card. But I got a bank card, you know,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and that they label it from me, so I don't
- 17:28Speaker 1: get it confused. So they put personal on the front
- 17:30Speaker 1: of my card, so I know it's my personal keep
- 17:33Speaker 1: away from my business and stuff. So I get a
- 17:36Speaker 1: lady to card. She say, just running through the machine, please,
- 17:40Speaker 1: And so I say how, And so I try to
- 17:44Speaker 1: swipe the card. She said, no, so you don't swipe it.
- 17:47Speaker 1: You just stick it in the front. Now I'm trying
- 17:49Speaker 1: to find why do I stick a credit card in
- 17:52Speaker 1: the front of the little lass machine. So I stick
- 17:54Speaker 1: it in there. She said, excuse me, So you have
- 17:56Speaker 1: to stick it in with the chip. The chip first,
- 17:59Speaker 1: I say what chip? She said, the chip on your
- 18:03Speaker 1: credit card. She said, turn it over. So I flipped
- 18:06Speaker 1: the card obviously upside down. That's what I thought, flipping
- 18:09Speaker 1: over mint. She said, sir, what do you excuse me?
- 18:12Speaker 1: Miss Harvey, you have you never done this? I said, na.
- 18:16Speaker 1: She started laughing. A little white girl. She started laughing.
- 18:19Speaker 1: She's okay, let me help. She take my credit card.
- 18:21Speaker 1: She stick it in there. She said, do you want
- 18:24Speaker 1: cash back? I said, I ain't gave you nothing. She said,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I know, but would you like to have some cash?
- 18:34Speaker 1: So now I'm confused. I'm trying to figure out. They
- 18:38Speaker 1: got a grocery store now where if you buy the stuff,
- 18:41Speaker 1: they pay you to take it on. I said, what
- 18:46Speaker 1: I like some cash back? I said, lady, you're gonna
- 18:49Speaker 1: mess around and lose your job. This little white girl
- 18:52Speaker 1: laughing so hard, she said, NA, if you need cash,
- 18:56Speaker 1: we'll give it to you off your card. So I
- 18:59Speaker 1: don't need no car. Baby, I'm trying to pay you.
- 19:01Speaker 1: She said, okay, put your pen in. Oh lord, I said,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I said, a little girl. She left. She said, let
- 19:10Speaker 1: me guess you don't know what your pen is? Little girl?
- 19:15Speaker 1: What are you talking to me about? A pen. She said, well,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I tell you what, miss Harvey. Do you want to
- 19:22Speaker 1: just make a credit? I said, that's what this is,
- 19:24Speaker 1: ain't it. She hits a button and has me a receipt.
- 19:29Speaker 1: So I said, where do I sign? She says, you
- 19:32Speaker 1: don't have to sign when that starts. I said, I
- 19:37Speaker 1: ain't got to sign. So now this black girl comes open.
- 19:41Speaker 1: She bagged up my girl. She said, Mite Harvey, where's Marjorie?
- 19:48Speaker 1: I said, she out of town. She said, don't come
- 19:51Speaker 1: in this stone no more without miss Margie because we
- 19:54Speaker 1: see her, ain't it all the time? Can't go back
- 19:59Speaker 1: to po. Yeah. We bought organic veggie tray. I bought
- 20:06Speaker 1: me uh some baked tostitos. I bought some fresh hummus
- 20:10Speaker 1: and I mean some fresh guacamoleas sauso. Oh, this is
- 20:14Speaker 1: for the party. And I bought a beyond meat. No,
- 20:16Speaker 1: I'm just meet yeah, all right, Yeah, thank you man, great,

- 21:03Speaker 1: New England Patriot. We'll talk about it at the top
- 21:06Speaker 1: of the hour. A lot happened over this weekend. Steve
- 21:10Speaker 1: was in the grocery store. That was a major news.
- 21:12Speaker 1: All right, right, right now, it's Monday. It is time
- 21:15Speaker 1: for church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam
- 21:24Speaker 1: fine fine that town. We we We're healed. O graciousness,
- 21:33Speaker 1: ye graveled on this Monday to show our graphitude and
- 21:40Speaker 1: gross terety and humiliation. God is a good God. Yes, sir,
- 21:52Speaker 1: we hear the day to gavel church complaints. Find out
- 21:58Speaker 1: what do I need to straighten our with this raggedy
- 22:01Speaker 1: congregation deacon? Go ahead, past the sister Leslie Fagan has
- 22:09Speaker 1: two baby daddies. They have both been paying child support
- 22:13Speaker 1: for twelve years. The problem is past her dad is
- 22:18Speaker 1: only one baby. They had no idea about each other,
- 22:22Speaker 1: and they are asking the church to help them get
- 22:24Speaker 1: their money back. It's it's one baby, two baby dadds,
- 22:29Speaker 1: and they are asking for the church to help them
- 22:32Speaker 1: get their money back. The Church is not gonna get
- 22:35Speaker 1: involved in or domestical or or disruptis or due to
- 22:41Speaker 1: the fact that sister or has been paying her ties
- 22:47Speaker 1: dutifully for against the two child supports. So she's been
- 22:57Speaker 1: paying ten percent of two checks. Why would I stop that?
- 23:04Speaker 1: But one of them, these men evidently of being done
- 23:09Speaker 1: wrong though past it, I mean, you have to look
- 23:11Speaker 1: at it from that perspective. I would imagine that he
- 23:14Speaker 1: is so. But I'm not the court of law. If
- 23:18Speaker 1: the colts say you have to pay, you have to
- 23:21Speaker 1: pay she you have to pay the plate. I don't
- 23:26Speaker 1: think it fits right there. But okay, I guess you don't.
- 23:30Speaker 1: But but that ten percent that she paying, that, let
- 23:36Speaker 1: me just move right around past that. You're gonna have
- 23:38Speaker 1: to ask you. Shoot, yeah, you're gonna have to do
- 23:41Speaker 1: something about the married men that keep stopping by the
- 23:45Speaker 1: single minister trying to find these sade chicks. This is
- 23:47Speaker 1: getting out of hand. It is quite a few married
- 23:53Speaker 1: men that are stopping by the singles men that they're
- 23:56Speaker 1: trying to find a side chick. You're gonna have to
- 23:58Speaker 1: talk to him. Well, that two is going to you
- 24:03Speaker 1: going to uncover some things because the the eminems have
- 24:10Speaker 1: been doing a lot of wonderful work at the church.
- 24:14Speaker 1: And if you stop the married men from going by
- 24:18Speaker 1: the singles ministry, you're gonna ruin the Eminem's or the
- 24:25Speaker 1: eminems is the mistress missionaries. They have raising goo gobs
- 24:40Speaker 1: of money, and most of the money they're raising is
- 24:44Speaker 1: hush money that they're getting from the husband's So that's
- 24:48Speaker 1: another form of tie that the jack part is cashing
- 24:52Speaker 1: in on. So see you the two baby daddies or
- 24:56Speaker 1: that's ten percent of two checks. And then these the
- 24:59Speaker 1: hush money the husbands just paying to the mistresses. They're
- 25:03Speaker 1: paying all ties on that money he made the church
- 25:08Speaker 1: making a lot of manny. Let me keep moving. Then
- 25:12Speaker 1: you have a big situation here, passed it. Brother Antonio
- 25:15Speaker 1: Brown is saying that if he don't get to sit
- 25:18Speaker 1: on the front pew, he wants to be traded to
- 25:21Speaker 1: First Baptist Church if he if he don't get to
- 25:28Speaker 1: sit on the front pew. He wants to be traded
- 25:30Speaker 1: to French Baptist Church what happens to be in New England.
- 25:34Speaker 1: So that's after you pass it to decide if he
- 25:36Speaker 1: gonna be able to move up to the front on
- 25:38Speaker 1: the pews and that, well, we're gonna let Brother a
- 25:42Speaker 1: B sit wherever he want to sit, because I've already
- 25:45Speaker 1: calculated that nine million son in bonus is nine hundred thousand.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Really that's gonna by the robes and things around him.
- 26:03Speaker 1: So once again, let's get off Brother a B. All right,
- 26:07Speaker 1: all right, If you don't get that much from him,
- 26:09Speaker 1: then we don't know that. But that's the shot we
- 26:13Speaker 1: have to take, all right, all right, listen, now the
- 26:18Speaker 1: church has finally developed a Hollelujah chicken sandwich. We feel
- 26:26Speaker 1: if Popeye's and Chick fil A lines are out of
- 26:28Speaker 1: the building, this Hollelujah chicken may get people to bring
- 26:31Speaker 1: they butch the church. So chicken sandwich is start at
- 26:34Speaker 1: seven fifty. Uh this coming Sunday. Are you in agreement,
- 26:39Speaker 1: pastor for the hold on, hold on, hold on seven fifty?
- 26:42Speaker 1: That sounds rather high? How first of all, how much
- 26:46Speaker 1: is a Chick fil a sandwich? They folded ninety nine.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And how much is the Popeye sandwich? I think they yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 1: right around the same, right, So why in the hell
- 27:01Speaker 1: would we come out with a seven fifty sandwich. Well,
- 27:06Speaker 1: we that chicken is breast. These are nice thighs, so
- 27:11Speaker 1: they're a lot bigger. These are thighs we got that
- 27:17Speaker 1: boneless died. Yeah, I don't see that as a real winner. Oh, plus,
- 27:24Speaker 1: we're not gonna be a blue or fold the advertising
- 27:27Speaker 1: budget that does for Popeye's. Hell, I don't know how
- 27:32Speaker 1: the school working. No, we don't have a large enough
- 27:35Speaker 1: congregation to get a social media buzz about this hill.
- 27:40Speaker 1: So therefore, I don't really think that hallelujah chicken said,
- 27:44Speaker 1: which is a good idea, all rank scratu. Here's another issue.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Pastor Mother Tucker wants to change her name once and
- 27:53Speaker 1: for hours. She is tired of people saying her name
- 27:56Speaker 1: and making a mistake when they're calling her out of
- 27:58Speaker 1: her name. He wants to church to pay for her
- 28:02Speaker 1: name to be changed. He is tired of being Mother
- 28:05Speaker 1: Tucker because they are saying the wrong thing when they well,
- 28:08Speaker 1: I say, tuck it, We're not changing or damn thing. No,
- 28:15Speaker 1: tell Mother Tucker, I said that tuck it and quick
- 28:18Speaker 1: calling up in Hill asked us to do that there,
- 28:21Speaker 1: tuck that and she can go on and take that
- 28:24Speaker 1: and talk that too. Tuck it. We're tired of it.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Mother talking now close faster, all right, thank you? Coming
- 28:35Speaker 1: up at the time over here, every mother talking talk
- 28:40Speaker 1: man talk. That coming up in the top of the
- 28:43Speaker 1: hour is being Stephen A. Smith will be our special
- 28:46Speaker 1: gast know who are you talking with? The Antonio Brown
- 28:51Speaker 1: drama right after this you're listening show. First of all,
- 28:58Speaker 1: as promise, he's on the line. Who better to have
- 29:03Speaker 1: on this morning show than the epitome of sportscasters. He
- 29:12Speaker 1: is the current modern day Howard co Sale of sports.
- 29:19Speaker 1: That's the biggest compliment you can play. Hey, he's a
- 29:23Speaker 1: star of ESPs first take, which I've watched on a
- 29:27Speaker 1: regular basis. He's got his own show to stephen A.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Smith's show on ESPN Radio. The NFL season kicked off yesterday,
- 29:36Speaker 1: but the but the drama started before that. Let's bring
- 29:40Speaker 1: him on, Ladies and gentlemen, family member, let me just
- 29:43Speaker 1: throw this out there case y'all don't know, the highest
- 29:48Speaker 1: page sports commentator on the Globe to day, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith shouting down, what's what's up? What's up? Y'all.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I wouldn't go that far. It's not there yet, but
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'm coming. I don't know who got more. Looked like
- 30:10Speaker 1: the Ezekiel Elliott or Sports Commentation were claiming, Hey, man,
- 30:19Speaker 1: I'm doing good man, just hustling, just grinding, doing what
- 30:22Speaker 1: I do. That's it, all right, man. Before we get
- 30:24Speaker 1: into the football season and the games and all like this,
- 30:27Speaker 1: let's talk about this one where I win that has
- 30:32Speaker 1: surrounded Antonio Brown, formerly of the Steelers, formerly of the Raiders,
- 30:40Speaker 1: and now with to pay. What the hell happened? I'm
- 30:46Speaker 1: not gonna lie to y'all. It's hard to put in
- 30:48Speaker 1: the words because it's you know, he got his money
- 30:51Speaker 1: at the end of the day to some degree, but
- 30:54Speaker 1: to me, you know, just as a black man, it's
- 30:57Speaker 1: it's quite embarrassing or the kind of position that he
- 31:00Speaker 1: put himself to. Let me be very very clear about that.
- 31:03Speaker 1: This is a guy that wanted to force his way
- 31:05Speaker 1: out of Pittsburgh. We understand that it's business months ago
- 31:09Speaker 1: when you were a Pittsburgh Steeler, the guaranteed portion of
- 31:13Speaker 1: your contract had expired. You wanted to position yourself to
- 31:16Speaker 1: get someplace where you got guaranteed dollars coming in, or
- 31:20Speaker 1: you were still under contract with the Steelers, you wanted
- 31:23Speaker 1: to force your way out. You ultimately ended up doing that.
- 31:26Speaker 1: They traded you to the Oakland Raiders. They got a
- 31:29Speaker 1: third round pick and a fifth round pick in return
- 31:32Speaker 1: for your services. You go to Oakland, you got a
- 31:35Speaker 1: big press conference. Oakland guarantees you upon acquiring you thirty
- 31:41Speaker 1: million dollars. They gave you a million dollars signing bonus,
- 31:45Speaker 1: and then after that you would guarantee fourteen million to
- 31:47Speaker 1: change for this upcoming season and then fourteen million in
- 31:51Speaker 1: change for next season fourteen point five million to be exact.
- 31:56Speaker 1: The caveat to that is that you had to get
- 31:58Speaker 1: to make the opening day roster, which is yesterday for
- 32:02Speaker 1: most teams, but it's tonight for the Oakland Raiders because
- 32:05Speaker 1: the Oakland Raiders play on Monday Night Football. So what happened?
- 32:08Speaker 1: First things First, you go to France. You try some cryotherapy.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You could get to put on the right stocket investing
- 32:17Speaker 1: up your feet. You're tripping over that, but that's understandable
- 32:20Speaker 1: because you got bad. He's got bad. He can't run.
- 32:22Speaker 1: You can't run, that's not your fault, all right, Fine,
- 32:25Speaker 1: then you have a helmet issue. You've been wearing a
- 32:28Speaker 1: particular helmet for ten years. You don't want to wear
- 32:32Speaker 1: that helmet anymore. But the NFL, the NFL says that
- 32:37Speaker 1: helmet is no longer certified because we've gotten sued for
- 32:41Speaker 1: billions of dollars. We've got to protect ourselves. We've invested
- 32:44Speaker 1: millions into research, and they've come to the conclusion that
- 32:48Speaker 1: that helmet is no longer safe. So you can't wear
- 32:51Speaker 1: that helmet, Antonio Brown, But we have over forty different
- 32:57Speaker 1: options for you to choose from as a hillman. At
- 33:02Speaker 1: the time they said this to him, there were at
- 33:05Speaker 1: least eighty nine members on an NFL roster because it's
- 33:09Speaker 1: three season and cut down day is the week of
- 33:12Speaker 1: the regular season, so at that time, it's you know,
- 33:15Speaker 1: it's fifty three man roster for opening day, but at
- 33:18Speaker 1: this particular moment in time, it's eighty nine men on
- 33:21Speaker 1: a football team. Do the mass eighty nine times thirty two?
- 33:26Speaker 1: You got over two thousand players in the National Football League.
- 33:31Speaker 1: That dude said I'm not playing due ain't good enough.
- 33:38Speaker 1: One dude said too much for me. I'm gonna I'd
- 33:44Speaker 1: rather retire first, and that was Antonio Brown. So you
- 33:50Speaker 1: caused this rougets you filled one Grievers against the NFL.
- 33:53Speaker 1: You lose that. You've follow another Grievers against the NFL.
- 33:57Speaker 1: You lose that. The Raiders are like, we've exhausted every option.
- 34:00Speaker 1: It's time to play. You either all in or you
- 34:04Speaker 1: all out. So you go through all of that stuff,
- 34:07Speaker 1: then you go back supposedly to play. Now here you
- 34:12Speaker 1: go approaching the week of the season. Y'all stay with him.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Now you're approaching the weak of the season. He reaches
- 34:21Speaker 1: out to people on social media, according to the report,
- 34:25Speaker 1: to find out how he could get out of his
- 34:27Speaker 1: contract with the Race. Well, Mike mayopt. The general manager says,
- 34:33Speaker 1: wait a minute here, when you would be from with
- 34:37Speaker 1: the NFL, not us, when you had bad feet, over
- 34:41Speaker 1: your cryotherapy and France not up all right, you still
- 34:45Speaker 1: would skip in practices and all of this other stuff.
- 34:49Speaker 1: So because of that, according to team rules, we have
- 34:53Speaker 1: to find you. We have to find you. I'm sorry.
- 34:56Speaker 1: So he find them and when he find them, with
- 34:59Speaker 1: the amounted to over fifty three thousand dollars and Antonio Brown,
- 35:04Speaker 1: upon researching to find out how he can get out
- 35:07Speaker 1: of this contract with folks and social media, then shows
- 35:12Speaker 1: up to practice. Breton is to punch the man in
- 35:15Speaker 1: the face, Wow, calls him out of his name, curses
- 35:19Speaker 1: him out, calls him a cracker. Stop right there, stop
- 35:24Speaker 1: right there, cracking, stop right there, on crack. We're gonna
- 35:29Speaker 1: take a break because we need a breath when we
- 35:32Speaker 1: come back. We will find out right after this with
- 35:35Speaker 1: Steve and he called him man a cracker. You're listening
- 35:40Speaker 1: to show all right, everybody, we're back. Welcome to the ride.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Now listen, we left off this story about Antonio Brown,
- 35:50Speaker 1: which who better to he knows the inside of the inside.
- 35:56Speaker 1: We found out that it all started with the helmet issue.
- 36:00Speaker 1: He didn't want to play the helmet. Over two thousand
- 36:03Speaker 1: players didn't have a problem with the helmet. He had
- 36:05Speaker 1: a problem with the helmet. For the helmets to choose from,
- 36:08Speaker 1: he can't find one. He gets out of that getting
- 36:11Speaker 1: that they say show up to play. He goes to
- 36:13Speaker 1: social media and social media to tell him how he
- 36:16Speaker 1: can get out of this contract. He was referends to
- 36:18Speaker 1: social media people. They tell him a way he could
- 36:20Speaker 1: put it out on social media. He goes to practice,
- 36:23Speaker 1: cusses out the GM for getting this fine because he
- 36:26Speaker 1: got his feet messed up in CROYWD therapy. He missing practice.
- 36:30Speaker 1: He calls the man that's paying him, that's signing his check,
- 36:36Speaker 1: and I'm repeating what Stephen A. Smith, he calls the
- 36:39Speaker 1: man a cracker. Nah, I don't you know what. I've
- 36:46Speaker 1: cussed a lot of people out in my life life,
- 36:48Speaker 1: so I'm not trying to play Saint Hill. But once
- 36:52Speaker 1: they're paying you, this is not a good way. So
- 36:53Speaker 1: now we're back with Stephen A. Smith. Antonio Brown has
- 36:57Speaker 1: called the man a cracker. Let's pick up well, first
- 37:01Speaker 1: of all, before we go in the further, let me
- 37:03Speaker 1: correct you on something. There were other people who complained
- 37:08Speaker 1: about the helmet. Tom Brady didn't like the helmet, Six Toms,
- 37:13Speaker 1: super Bowl Champion by the way, Aaron Rodgers didn't like
- 37:16Speaker 1: the helmet, super Bowl Champion by the way, and multiple
- 37:19Speaker 1: league MVP. But nobody to retire, and Tonio Brat nobody
- 37:29Speaker 1: threaten not to play. He threatened to skip practices and
- 37:37Speaker 1: ended up doing it for the helmet. But in Tonio
- 37:41Speaker 1: Brown and I left out one little nugget that y'all
- 37:45Speaker 1: might want to know what the National Football League according
- 37:51Speaker 1: to what they I spoke for the National Football League
- 37:55Speaker 1: weeks to go, and they said, Stephen Ay have had
- 38:00Speaker 1: fign up in the NFL locker room over the last
- 38:06Speaker 1: five years. Thing that this changed what's coming over the
- 38:13Speaker 1: last five years? Every player in the NFL new who
- 38:19Speaker 1: stands of the nineteen it would be mandated to wear
- 38:23Speaker 1: a new helmet. Did not see the sign. They didn't
- 38:32Speaker 1: read the sign. I didn't give a damn about the sign.
- 38:36Speaker 1: It's the only option. Hey, stephen A, hang on one second, man,
- 38:41Speaker 1: hang on, hang on, just stay right there. We got
- 38:43Speaker 1: more with stephen A right after this. You're listening show. Okay,
- 38:50Speaker 1: So stephen A, he cusses the man out, He cuts
- 38:53Speaker 1: the man. Oh oh, it gets better. He cusses the
- 38:56Speaker 1: man out. He cuts the man out with Mike Mayott,
- 38:59Speaker 1: who used to be a commentator on the NFL network
- 39:03Speaker 1: now as the general manager for the Open Raiders, brought
- 39:06Speaker 1: in by John Gruden in the or season. So he
- 39:09Speaker 1: cuts his Mike Mayock out. He has to be restrained.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Seeds and the team. Did I tell y'all
- 39:19Speaker 1: who restrained him? Who Who's perfect Monty of the Citizenati Big.
- 39:26Speaker 1: He got the dude that has gotten in trouble or
- 39:31Speaker 1: numerous the cases on the field to control himself. That
- 39:38Speaker 1: is the god that has to restrain. You're going too far, Antonio.
- 39:48Speaker 1: This is great. So so after all that happened, after
- 39:54Speaker 1: all of that happened, he goes home. He's supposed to
- 39:58Speaker 1: me with John Gruden, the boss, the one hundred million
- 40:03Speaker 1: dollar man. They're supposed to meet that evening. He stands
- 40:08Speaker 1: John Gruden up, doesn't show up, doesn't show up anything,
- 40:14Speaker 1: and then tweets after he issues the miacopa and he
- 40:19Speaker 1: apologized to his teammates for the way that he acted
- 40:23Speaker 1: that evening and John Gruden up and then turned around
- 40:27Speaker 1: and tweets out that he wants out. He wants to
- 40:31Speaker 1: be gone, but ladies and gentlemen. Conversation with John Gruden
- 40:38Speaker 1: on the phone. The agent Drew Rosenhouse connected them. He
- 40:43Speaker 1: had a phone call with John Gruden. John Gruden's like, man,
- 40:46Speaker 1: I just I love you, man, I brought you here.
- 40:49Speaker 1: I want do you want to be a raider? Do
- 40:50Speaker 1: you want to be ready to say yeah, I don't
- 40:52Speaker 1: wanted to be a raider. To this day, one. He said,
- 40:53Speaker 1: you want to be a Raiders. I just want you
- 40:55Speaker 1: to play football. He said, I'm more of a football
- 40:57Speaker 1: play I'm a man. Blah blah blah. He says all
- 40:59Speaker 1: of that. How do we know this, y'all because the
- 41:03Speaker 1: man puts the conversation of private conversation with John Gruden
- 41:10Speaker 1: and put the damn thing on you too. No, no, no, now, nobody,
- 41:18Speaker 1: nobody has brought this up. I'm gonna bring it up
- 41:21Speaker 1: for the purposes of my knowledge. I apologize if I'm wrong,
- 41:29Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure I'm not. To my knowledge, it
- 41:33Speaker 1: is illegal. It's a conversation in the state of California
- 41:41Speaker 1: party without both parties agreeing from this man. So this man,
- 41:47Speaker 1: Antonio Brown, actually violated the law by taper the damn
- 41:52Speaker 1: conversation hey, and just putting it on you. I can't
- 41:56Speaker 1: make this. You can't make this up. You can't okay
- 42:03Speaker 1: you you can't make this up. Certain Naturally, the minute
- 42:07Speaker 1: John Gruden sees that, he immediately lets him go. He
- 42:11Speaker 1: releases Antonio Brown, and he released him and in a
- 42:15Speaker 1: span of three hours, a New England Patriots picked up
- 42:19Speaker 1: Antonio Brown, gave him nine million, ten million guarantee nine
- 42:26Speaker 1: millions up front, with five million potentially in intensive. So
- 42:32Speaker 1: in a lot of people's eyes, Antonio Brown won because
- 42:35Speaker 1: he didn't want to be with the Raiders. He's with
- 42:37Speaker 1: a super Bowl champion. He can end up just looking
- 42:41Speaker 1: absolutely beautiful in all of this and getting his money.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I look at it a little bit differently. I look
- 42:46Speaker 1: at it. Excuse me. You forced your way out of Pittsburgh.
- 42:49Speaker 1: You wanted a long term deal right now. You on
- 42:52Speaker 1: a one year plan. You might be there for two years,
- 42:55Speaker 1: you might get all your money, but it's one year
- 42:57Speaker 1: at a time, so you don't have long term security.
- 43:00Speaker 1: You got to get on the field. You got a ball,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and you got a hope that in an arguably the
- 43:04Speaker 1: most violence sport out there, that you don't get hurt
- 43:07Speaker 1: because you have no guaranteed money coming your way. It's
- 43:10Speaker 1: a one year deal. That's number one. Number two, you're
- 43:13Speaker 1: proving yourself to be a liar. You said you're about team,
- 43:16Speaker 1: you said you're about winning. You said that you wanted
- 43:19Speaker 1: to be a mentor to a lot of these cats
- 43:22Speaker 1: that were waiting for you in Oakland and obviously supported you,
- 43:26Speaker 1: and then what you went at did the second you
- 43:28Speaker 1: sat up there and got released from your contract with
- 43:31Speaker 1: the Raiders. You ran around like a fool in your
- 43:33Speaker 1: backyard screaming, I'm free, I'm free, I'm free. With all
- 43:36Speaker 1: the shenanigans that you engaged in. All right, y'all, we
- 43:39Speaker 1: got more with Stephen a right after this. You're listening,
- 43:46Speaker 1: all right, So folks were back. This saga is one
- 43:50Speaker 1: of the most interesting stories. If you know nothing about football,
- 43:55Speaker 1: you've got to be intrigued with the antics of this
- 43:58Speaker 1: young man and Tony o'brown, who is really just it's
- 44:03Speaker 1: a crazy what he's done. So Stephen has been bringing
- 44:06Speaker 1: us up to speed. He was formerly of Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 44:08Speaker 1: He was with the Oakland Raiders. He said he wanted
- 44:11Speaker 1: to be a Raider all his life. He got just
- 44:13Speaker 1: thirty million dollars guaranteed contract and fifteen million dollars a
- 44:16Speaker 1: year to play. He did some things, he threatened up
- 44:20Speaker 1: the GM. He gets put off the team. So now
- 44:23Speaker 1: he signs with New England and cracker the same day
- 44:27Speaker 1: they called him mccracker. He got nine million guaranteed but
- 44:31Speaker 1: with five million of it as incentives, and he got
- 44:35Speaker 1: a nine million. He got ten million guaranteed, five million
- 44:38Speaker 1: incentives which could give him the fifteen that he was
- 44:41Speaker 1: getting at Oakland. But he went from thirty million guaranteed
- 44:45Speaker 1: to a nine million dollars signing bonus. And now we're
- 44:52Speaker 1: up to date Stephen A. Smith gold as a brother
- 44:56Speaker 1: at last, but not lead. It reminds me, what did
- 44:59Speaker 1: you throw under the buck? Because guess what you left Pittsburgh.
- 45:03Speaker 1: That's a brother coach in that team. That's my just
- 45:07Speaker 1: you did you did that? Man? By the way, Oh
- 45:10Speaker 1: by the way, when you went out the door, you
- 45:12Speaker 1: started talking and you had a cat like Ryan Clark,
- 45:15Speaker 1: my colleague. It is yes, who doesn't outstanding job for us?
- 45:19Speaker 1: Who used to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers and won
- 45:21Speaker 1: a Super Bowl championship with the Pittsburgh Steelers. You called
- 45:24Speaker 1: him a sellout buck See to think the interesting thought
- 45:27Speaker 1: about it is that volks to walking around acting like
- 45:30Speaker 1: he won. For first of all, if you went from
- 45:31Speaker 1: thirty million and guarantee dollars to nine millions, I don't
- 45:34Speaker 1: understand how that's to win. Secondly, if secondly, if you're
- 45:39Speaker 1: looking for a long term deal and now you're playing
- 45:43Speaker 1: under a one year deal, I don't understand how that
- 45:45Speaker 1: as is a win. Now, let me tell you, in
- 45:48Speaker 1: my opinion, the essence of stupidity. Okay, I got one
- 45:53Speaker 1: for you. This is a man I want everybody to
- 45:56Speaker 1: understand it. If Antonio o'brown had gotten the Tuesday morning,
- 46:03Speaker 1: Tuesday morning, the entire twenty nine point one twenty five
- 46:08Speaker 1: million left on his deal with Oakland would have been guaranteed. Wow. Oh,
- 46:15Speaker 1: make it to Tuesday to Tuesday morning tomorrow, that's right,
- 46:23Speaker 1: tomorrow morning. All he had to do was get to
- 46:26Speaker 1: Tuesday morning, tomorrow morning. But the deal to be guarantee.
- 46:32Speaker 1: This man could not contain itself. Now you can make
- 46:35Speaker 1: the argument he wanted out of Oakland because he knew
- 46:38Speaker 1: he was gonna lose there, or whatever the case for be.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna take Antonio Brown at his word. He didn't
- 46:44Speaker 1: need the money, he didn't want the money. It wasn't
- 46:46Speaker 1: about the money. Whatever it's about was long term and
- 46:49Speaker 1: finding yourself in a situation where you were sir, cure
- 46:52Speaker 1: if you're gonna put your body on the line. That
- 46:55Speaker 1: is not the case in New England. Now you want
- 46:57Speaker 1: a one year deal, right, and Barbara mone is after
- 47:01Speaker 1: the twenty twenty seasons, it is not promised to Antonio Brown. Two, Stephen, A,
- 47:09Speaker 1: let me point this out. Remember where you said he
- 47:12Speaker 1: was on social media, running through his backyard screaming I'm free,
- 47:17Speaker 1: on the phone with his grandmama going grandmama, I'm free.
- 47:22Speaker 1: He this was all for social media. This was staged.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Who has a camera on Antonio' Brown when he opens
- 47:33Speaker 1: his phone to discover to discover online that he had
- 47:40Speaker 1: been released by Oakland? Hold that here there is a
- 47:44Speaker 1: retort to that, and here it is Antonio Brown is
- 47:49Speaker 1: the same dude that had himself on camera on social
- 47:53Speaker 1: media in the locker room while coach Tumlin was given
- 47:57Speaker 1: a speech a couple of years ago. I remember, and
- 48:03Speaker 1: the coach was saying literally literally y'all. The coach was saying,
- 48:08Speaker 1: stay on social media rights to tap him safe. But Stephen,
- 48:16Speaker 1: I'm telling you the reaction to him running through the
- 48:19Speaker 1: backyard and screaming grandmama, I'm free. He already had gotten
- 48:24Speaker 1: the news from Oakland. He staged at and had somebody
- 48:28Speaker 1: record him like he was getting the news first hand. Freedom.
- 48:33Speaker 1: What what you're point in two is a level of deception.
- 48:38Speaker 1: That's right Where this guy where this guy Listen, I'm
- 48:42Speaker 1: not gonna lie to you. I've spoken to Antonio Brown
- 48:44Speaker 1: in the past. Um. I think he's an all world talent,
- 48:48Speaker 1: one of the greatest receivers that we've ever seen. How
- 48:51Speaker 1: he has conducted himself is shameful. It's embarrassing. And when
- 48:57Speaker 1: I see particularly young brothers, because we all understand we
- 49:01Speaker 1: live in the world that we live in. Everybody's out
- 49:03Speaker 1: there grinding, hustling or whatever. But damn it, the flack
- 49:06Speaker 1: the challenges for black people are tougher than most, if
- 49:10Speaker 1: not all. And so if you are a young brother
- 49:13Speaker 1: or sister out there and you think this is the
- 49:15Speaker 1: way to go, let me not waste your time and
- 49:18Speaker 1: write your epitaph right now because your future, because your
- 49:23Speaker 1: future is dead. You're not getting away with this. He
- 49:28Speaker 1: might have pulled something off where it looks that way.
- 49:31Speaker 1: He has not only damaged his reputation as a team player,
- 49:36Speaker 1: as a football player, he's damaged his reputation in a
- 49:39Speaker 1: fashion that far transcends his football career. You are going
- 49:44Speaker 1: to see people having him synonymous with clownish behavior arguably
- 49:51Speaker 1: for the rest of his adult damn life. And I
- 49:53Speaker 1: don't know about everybody, and I don't know about everybody else,
- 49:56Speaker 1: but I'm not that dude. I don't think that's cool.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I don't it's good. I don't think it's something to
- 50:02Speaker 1: laugh about or anything like that. I'm ashaved of how
- 50:04Speaker 1: the brother has asked and Stephen a I'm I'm gonna
- 50:08Speaker 1: say this man, his in fascination with social media will
- 50:14Speaker 1: be the demise of him. It has begun because I
- 50:17Speaker 1: know that celebration in the backyard was staged. It was Hey, man,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna act like I'm seeing this for the first time.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Record me. I'm free, I'm free, I'm free. First of all,
- 50:27Speaker 1: how do you find out on the phone? He's got
- 50:29Speaker 1: an agent that didn't call him and told him this.
- 50:32Speaker 1: This He didn't discover this. He also got an agent
- 50:35Speaker 1: to call him and told him that he's gonna be
- 50:38Speaker 1: with New England. This is not a discovery on All
- 50:41Speaker 1: of this comes from let me. Let me assure you
- 50:45Speaker 1: what's over the helmet issue. According to NFL aficionados, repeatedly,
- 50:53Speaker 1: he was late when he was in Pittsburgh that practices.
- 50:56Speaker 1: He was late to team planes. Team planes, what hell
- 51:00Speaker 1: talk so he could arrive on a plane and get
- 51:04Speaker 1: to the game with the rest of the team. Let
- 51:07Speaker 1: me assure you of something that I'm pretty damn sure
- 51:10Speaker 1: of as a Earth England. Who the craft of the
- 51:14Speaker 1: newis patriots? Who knows the history of Bill Belichick and
- 51:17Speaker 1: how they do business in New England. I promise you
- 51:22Speaker 1: all of that has come to an end. Romish you
- 51:26Speaker 1: that getting everybody ever christ You could bet our house
- 51:31Speaker 1: on that. All of that that he was a joyous
- 51:35Speaker 1: it is now. I promise you you ain't got that
- 51:39Speaker 1: to be concerned about. You could book that. Stephen A. Smith. No, no, no,
- 51:47Speaker 1: he has a mentor. He has Prime Time talks to
- 51:52Speaker 1: him every day. Real Time Time talks to him every day.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I've had this conversation with Prime and I had this
- 52:00Speaker 1: conversation with Steven A. Smith this weekend. Is obviously not man.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Young man is in fastwated with social media listening. He
- 52:12Speaker 1: too old for this, that's too old for that. Thirty
- 52:16Speaker 1: too old. Listen. I got news for you. That level
- 52:20Speaker 1: of petulant and irresponsible behavior, it's too old for fifteen
- 52:25Speaker 1: year I don't let my kids do this. We gotta go. Hey,
- 52:34Speaker 1: Steven A. Smith, any of any of our kids acted
- 52:37Speaker 1: like that, we slap them upside dead. Yes, Stephen A. Smith,

- 53:34Speaker 1: I think we need to do a little disclaimer on
- 53:36Speaker 1: this letter before we get started. Um, parents, you may
- 53:40Speaker 1: not want your kids to hear this, especially the younger ones.
- 53:43Speaker 1: So okay, uh subject. I'm dating the private whisperer H
- 53:49Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm dating the private whisperer, H. Dear
- 53:59Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I am a twenty two year old college
- 54:01Speaker 1: student and I just started my senior year at a
- 54:05Speaker 1: new school. I've joined a frat and met an awesome girl,
- 54:09Speaker 1: and it was all going great until last week. We
- 54:12Speaker 1: threw a party to kick off the semester, and when
- 54:14Speaker 1: my frat brothers saw my girlfriend, they all got awkward
- 54:18Speaker 1: and quiet. She didn't stay long after that, and when
- 54:21Speaker 1: she left, I called them out for acting weird and
- 54:24Speaker 1: ignoring my girl. They all told me that I was
- 54:27Speaker 1: stupid and had no idea that I was dating the
- 54:31Speaker 1: private whisperer. They said that my girl is known around
- 54:36Speaker 1: the entire campus as the chick to go to if
- 54:40Speaker 1: you want to practice your sexual skills. They said that
- 54:43Speaker 1: guys used her as a de virginizer if they were
- 54:47Speaker 1: too nerdy to find their own girls. They're also cell
- 54:52Speaker 1: phone videos floating around campus of her having sex. I
- 54:57Speaker 1: didn't know what to say. I mean, I was so mad.
- 55:00Speaker 1: When I asked her, she admitted it, and she said
- 55:03Speaker 1: that she has changed and she no longer acts like that.
- 55:06Speaker 1: She said she's been in therapy for a year and
- 55:09Speaker 1: she's focused on school now and she deserves a clean start.
- 55:14Speaker 1: She said she knew it would be hard to get
- 55:16Speaker 1: rid of her reputation, but she was trying. She said
- 55:19Speaker 1: that this is the first real relationship she's been in
- 55:23Speaker 1: and she's been constantly afraid that I would find out
- 55:26Speaker 1: her past. I need your advice, Uncle Steve. I can't
- 55:29Speaker 1: look at her the same way anymore. She's a great
- 55:31Speaker 1: girl and I really like her, but I can't handle
- 55:33Speaker 1: her past. A part of me wants to show her
- 55:36Speaker 1: how a real man is supposed to treat her, but
- 55:39Speaker 1: the other part of me doesn't want to be seen
- 55:41Speaker 1: with the private whisper. Please help. Wow, you're young, You're
- 55:50Speaker 1: twenty two, twenty two year old college student, and everything's
- 55:52Speaker 1: going great. I understand why you're in this dilemma. I
- 55:56Speaker 1: really do. On one hand, you actually like this young lady.
- 56:00Speaker 1: You guys, you know, have had a good relationship up
- 56:03Speaker 1: until up until this point. You want to be with her,
- 56:06Speaker 1: but uh, of course, your fat brother, your frat brothers
- 56:10Speaker 1: are never gonna let you live this down. And you're
- 56:13Speaker 1: saying that you can't handle her past. Um, I would say,
- 56:18Speaker 1: first of all, uh, you know, of all the women
- 56:22Speaker 1: on campus, I just gotta know, how did you end
- 56:25Speaker 1: up with the so called private whisperer. There's a lot
- 56:27Speaker 1: of women. There's a lot of women on campus. Uh,
- 56:33Speaker 1: I mean, what are your chances of this? So I
- 56:35Speaker 1: got to say, did she seek you out? Okay, if
- 56:39Speaker 1: you came after her or she came after you, I
- 56:42Speaker 1: should say, then maybe she really hasn't changed. Okay, you were,
- 56:48Speaker 1: uh you know, like fresh new meat to her. She
- 56:50Speaker 1: came after you, and that's how she became the private whisper.
- 56:55Speaker 1: I'm assuming she knew how to get you, just like
- 56:58Speaker 1: she got all the other guys. I do believe, though,
- 57:01Speaker 1: I got to say this that people can change. Everyone.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Everyone has a past, everyone has a story, Everyone has
- 57:07Speaker 1: something they're ashamed of or something that they did in
- 57:10Speaker 1: the past that they were ashamed of. But this is
- 57:12Speaker 1: really beyond and although it's not impossible, but it is
- 57:16Speaker 1: hard to get past this. I mean videos of her
- 57:19Speaker 1: having sex with people are floating around campus. It's hard
- 57:24Speaker 1: hard hearing people refer to your girl as the private
- 57:28Speaker 1: whisperer or the de virginizer. I mean, that's hard, or
- 57:31Speaker 1: the go to girl for nerds who are too shy
- 57:34Speaker 1: to talk to girls. I mean, this is really hard.
- 57:38Speaker 1: You're twenty two and this is the the whole thing,
- 57:42Speaker 1: and it would be hard if you were even older
- 57:44Speaker 1: than that. But it's a lot to deal with at
- 57:46Speaker 1: this young age, and I'm not sure you're mature enough
- 57:50Speaker 1: to handle this. This is a situation here. I think
- 57:53Speaker 1: right now this relationship should move to a friendship, all right,
- 57:58Speaker 1: basically because of what you said in the letters. She's
- 58:00Speaker 1: a great girl. You really like her, but you you
- 58:02Speaker 1: can't handle her past. You just can't handle her pass.
- 58:05Speaker 1: You don't want to be you don't want to be
- 58:07Speaker 1: seen with the private whisperer. So I think you know,
- 58:10Speaker 1: if she's truly trying to change, she does need support
- 58:14Speaker 1: and that will show. That will come. That will come,
- 58:17Speaker 1: But right now she needs support of a friend along
- 58:19Speaker 1: with the therapy that she's getting. She says, she's been
- 58:22Speaker 1: in therapy for a year. Steve. Well, yeah, that's good answer,
- 58:28Speaker 1: Shirley mad that's good answer. And sometimes a young people
- 58:35Speaker 1: do need real advice because in the letter he says,
- 58:37Speaker 1: Uncle Steve, I need your advice. So this ain't no
- 58:43Speaker 1: time to be funny. I got the jokes for this,
- 58:45Speaker 1: now please know how DI got skill set for this.
- 58:51Speaker 1: But I'm not gonna do it because it's a young
- 58:53Speaker 1: lady that's obviously made some mistakes and now she wants
- 58:57Speaker 1: to correct her mistakes. You you starting your senior year
- 59:01Speaker 1: at a new school, at a new school. This is
- 59:04Speaker 1: why he don't know, because he's starting his senior year
- 59:07Speaker 1: at a new school. Now. He went there, he joined
- 59:11Speaker 1: the frat, met this awesome girl who was going great uti.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Last week we threw a party kick off to semester,
- 59:18Speaker 1: and when your frat brothers saw your girl, they got
- 59:21Speaker 1: all awkward. You know, they say, oh, man, hell know,
- 59:24Speaker 1: what's what's her dog opinion? But you don't know because
- 59:29Speaker 1: he starting his senior year at a new school. He
- 59:32Speaker 1: just met this girl. Now, Shirley, you was trying to
- 59:36Speaker 1: figure out did she come on to him? And he
- 59:38Speaker 1: came on to her? He saw her, great girl, He
- 59:42Speaker 1: hit on her. It was easy. It was easy. Hang
- 59:45Speaker 1: on right there, and that's where we'll leave it. It
- 59:48Speaker 1: was easy. All right. We're gonna have part two of
- 59:50Speaker 1: Steve's refunds coming up at twenty three after the hour,
- 59:54Speaker 1: subject I'm dating the private with fur we'll get back
- 59:57Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Two,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Let's recap the Strawberry letter. Subject time dating the private whisperer. Yeah,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: this dude, twenty two seniors, started his senior at the
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: new school. Got to the school, he joined the frat.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Everything was going good. The frat throw top of the
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: semester party. He shows up at the party with this
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: great girl that he met, and all of a sudden,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: his frat brothers started acting me a weird and everything,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: and you know, they all got awkward and quiet. The
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: girl didn't stay long after that, and the girl left.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: And then you called him out for acting crazy round
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: your girl, and they told you, hold up, man, how
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: you in here with her? You with the d whisper?
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, I mean the private whisper. They
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: said that your girl was known around the entire campus
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: for letting guys use her as a de virginizer and
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: practicing their sex skills. There's even videos around campus of
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: her having sex. Wow, this your girl, man, Now, it's
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: a hard blow to take. Man like Shirley say, you're
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: twenty two, So I'm gonna talk to you as real
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: advice as a man, and to give you my opinion
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: of this. Now, because you're new on the campus, you
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: didn't know this, so you ran up into it what
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: seems like a good girl, and guess what, she is
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: probably just that right now. But this good girl acted
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: bad in her past, and her reputation precedes her. And
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: it is hard. That's why I tell women all the time. Man,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: these double standards that's out here, they are real. These
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: are real. My father told me. I used to listen
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: to him, talk to my big sisters all the time.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: You can't do what I do and still be a lady.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Now you can say it's two thousand twenty, Steve, and
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: you old fashioned women get to do what they want to.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You can do what you want to do, and you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: have the right to decide to do anything you want
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: to do. But in your decision making process you have
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: to understand that there are ramifications and consequences that come
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: with the decisions. And I don't know the woman that's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: gonna come along and be able to change the opinions
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: that's been established for years when it comes to double standards. Absolutely,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I have yet to see the woman break that down. Now,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: you all can use examples of modern day women who
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: have done sexual exploited things that made it all work
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: out for themselves. Yeah, but it ain't you and I
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: can also if for every person you named has done
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: some sexually exploited things on YouTube or something and made
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: money with it, I could show you hundreds of thousands
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: who've damaged their lives and careers because of it. I
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: don't know that you want to take that chance. Young
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: ladies out there that's listening, you're free to do it. Then,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I'm not going to be an old fogy and tell
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: you differently, because you had the right to decide what
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: you want to decide. But in this move right here,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you're going to draw the ire of the public. And
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: all of a sudden, she got names, she to whisperer,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: she to diverginize her, she on video, and she wants
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: to live it down. So when you find out about it,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you ask her about it. She admitted to it, but
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: she also told her she was going to therapy because
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: she knows she made a mistake and she deserves a
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: clean start. And I agree. She said she's been in
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: therapy for years, she's focused on school now and she
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: deserves a clean start. That young lady is absolutely correct,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: because have not we all had to have a clean star.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Have not we all needed some form of forgiveness. So
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: with this young lady, and if she's listening, yes, she
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: does deserve a clean start. And she says that you're
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: the first real relationship she had. But now you got
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: a problem, man, because you are dude now and your
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: ego is involved you with somebody in the reason she
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: was uncomfortable in the thing because some of them dudes
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: and they probably had them all have seen the video
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: or know somebody that didn't have her. So that's why
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: she left because she was uncomfortable. Well, I think that
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Sherley was right. I think she needs a friend, and
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I think you're just a gentleman that could be that.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Here's a couple of suggestions I would say. I would say,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: be her friend, spend some time talking to her, help
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: her understand her value. She's not going to erase this
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: reputation at this school. If I was both of y'all
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: at the mere terms, I transfer. That's a good idea.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: If she wants a new start, she should transfer and
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: get away from this. That's the only way to get
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: a new start. That's my biggest suggestion to you. She
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: should transfer if she don't want to transfer, and you
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: should be her friend and help her through it. And
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: then when y'all graduate, maybe I'm going and having some
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: type of life together. All right, Thank you, Steve. All Right, guys,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: that was good. Email us or Instagram us her thoughts

- 1:13:31Speaker 1: That's my daddy excuse. We'll be back with more than
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: ignorance right after this and twenty minutes after you're listening
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Okay, on the TV show Power
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: of the Show that we love, Uh, fifties things tweeted
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to the viewers. I put the original version of Big
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Rich down back. Yes he did, we won't. Yeah, he said,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: are we cool again? Question mark? Yeah, we're good, fifty
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: We're good. It sounded so good though, it really did?
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: It really did? Can I say this? He just got
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: cyber bullied. Yeah, now you know what it was like
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: fifty Yeah, well he didn't even want that fight though.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: You could tell hecause those were his fans and they
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: want the original song. He did give the people what
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: the people. Floyd Mayweather had a said he wanted the song,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: That damn song would still be in there. You think
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Floyd didn't get involved in it. You know, with fifty,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: he is always going to be controversy though, because on
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: another note, people are mad at him for going back
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: in forth with Michael Jackson's daughter Paris after fifty said
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: that Chris Brown is better than Michael Jackson. Fifty went
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: too far with his comments to Paris. Then he took
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: those down crazy. Yeah, even even singer Stephanie Mills, and
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: she's a legend. She posted a message to fifty to stop. Yeah,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Chris Brown know that Chris Brown is extraordinary, tiber talented. Yea.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: You gotta y'all talking about Michael Jackson now stop? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: stop it? All right. We'll have more of the Steve
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show and some trending news coming up at
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: thirty three after the hour. Right after this you're listening
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: to show, Let's find out what you guys did over
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: the weekend. Steve, I know yours was pretty sad. Well, yeah,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: now let me tell you something. Man. Uh, my wife's
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: oude of town. I'm in Atlanta. So I decided that
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I wanted to have some healthy snacks for the football
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: game because I'm trying to get my weight down from
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: the vacation. Right. So I went to the grocery store
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: at seven am when it opened by yourself. Yes, now, yes,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: and Lord Jesus, can I tell y'all something. I discovered
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: some things that I did not know because I haven't
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: been in the grocery store. And when I tell you
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: in years, let me tell you years, I believe it yourself.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Nobody they got park They still sell pork ryns. Yeah,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: all of us. Pork ryns are big right now, Steve,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: because of the Keto diet, everybody. That's something I didn't.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I didn't know that Chili, I saw pork ryns. I
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: started to take picture of all this. I started to
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: do a video, but I said, no, skip it. So
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I'm in the store and I'm going around. Here was
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: the dilemma. It's time to check out. Come on, now,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I'm walking. I don't know that the first foe lines
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: is a self checkout. Yes, I have no idea what
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: this is. So I'm standing there and I'm waiting on
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: the lady. I'm going man. Back in the day, this
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: would be an easy steal for me. I could go
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: straight out the door. So finally the lady walks up
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: and says, oh, you need some help, mister Harvey. I said, yeah,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: I'll just way to check out. She said, you do
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: it yourself. Oh she knew you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: I said, doing myself house. She said, just ring it
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: over and put it in bag and pay for it. No,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: So I looked over there. I said, well, ain't that
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: somebody working him right that? She said, yeah, you can
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: go to check out. Line said, because let me do that,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: because I don't. I don't want nobody stopping me at
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: the door. So I go over there and the lady
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: scans my stuff. She's speaking to me more than mister Harvey.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: It's nice to see you in here. Never seen you
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: in here before. I said, well, I ain't. I ain't
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: been in here. She says, okay, one hundred and thirty
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: nine dollars, And so I decide to pay with a
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: credit card. But I got a bank card, you know,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: and that they label it from me. So I don't
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: get it confused. So they put personal on the front
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: of my car, so I know it's my personal keep
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: away from my business and stuff. So I get a
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: lady to car. She said, just run it through the machine, please,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: And so I try to swipe the car. She said, no,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: so you don't swipe it. You just stick it in
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: the front. Now I'm trying to find why do I
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: stick a credit card in the front of the little
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: lass machine. So I stick it in there. She said,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: excuse me, So you have to stick it in with
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: the chip the chip. First, I say, what chip? She said,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: the chip on your credit card. She said, turn it over,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: she said, do you want cash back? Coming up her
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: last break of the day, and of course some wisdom
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: for the one and only Steve Harvey with our closing
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: remarks right after this You're listening show. It's been a
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: good Monday. Yeah, good to see you, Ja, good to
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: be here. I know it is, I know it is.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve. Drips in the building, Drips the dripper
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: is today. Man. I gotta go drip every day this
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: very every day this week. Man. Okay, all right, we'll
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: be praying for I come hang out with you. Like
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: like just being there while you dripp You don't need
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: to see this, you know the baby. Don't I come
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: kick it with you? I will. You don't want me,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: You don't want to company? Do you want to come?
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: You be welcome to come? Oh so you like company
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: and a drip drip? Okay, all right, because I thought
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you didn't like company period. Yeah, but it's been a
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: good Monday, really good today. Yeah, all right, Steve, you're ready,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: take us out? Take us out? All right? Hey, you
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: know my clothes remarks today is stemming from the things
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: I watched transpired this weekend by the football player name
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: an Tonio Brown. Oh now, this is not kick a
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: man when he's down, because he doesn't consider himself down.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: He's signed, he's making a considerable amount of money, and
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: I guess it's gone the way he wanted it to go,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: so to speak. But I worry about sometimes the message
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: that it sends to young people out there who are
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: on the come up, young people up there who emulate
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: us as stars and people who you considerably consider celebrity
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: status and the responsibility that comes with that. I remember
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: a long time ago they were talking to a basketball
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: player and they said do you know that you're a
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: role model? He said, well, I didn't ask to be
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: nobody's role model, and I don't want to be considered
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: a role model. But what happens is anytime you're in
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: a position where some younger person is looking up to
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: you and mind your statue in life or wanting to
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: emulate your success, it comes with the package a role
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: model to somebody. Somebody's watching you wanting to pattern themselves
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: after you. With that in mind, I want to remind
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: young people about something that your life is more than
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: just today. You are not to live your life based
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: on just results of today. You have to understand clearly
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: that the decisions you make today will definitely affect the
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: outcome of tomorrow. We are always in constant preparation for tomorrow.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Even though we're not to worry about tomorrow, we are
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: all in preparation for tomorrow. We go to sleep realizing
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: that we wake up with a plan. We go to
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: sleep wanting to wake up to go to work another day,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: go to school another day, get one day closer to
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: our dreams and visions, one day closing the deal, or
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: something like that. We're always working towards something of that nature.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: So your life is more than today. And it bothers
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: me when I see young people who are constantly and
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I mean constantly repeatedly keep making decisions like there's no
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: ramifications or consequences to your actions, because it is and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: what I try to share with my children your consequences today.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: The older you get, the more dire the consequences based
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: on the decisions that you make. The decisions you made
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: at fifteen and the consequences you suffered at fifteen, if
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: you make that same decision ten years later at twenty five,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: the consequences of consequences are much more dire. If you
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: make that same mistake and decision you made at twenty five,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: If you make that decision at thirty five, ten years later,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: the consequences are so much dire and so fourth and
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: so long. And the older you get, the same decision
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: can cost you so much more. And why is that, Well,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: because we're supposed to know better, We're supposed to become
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: more experienced. We're supposed to gain the know how of
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: what to do and what not to do. That's all
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: trials and tribulations do throughout our life, is to make
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: us get better at it. So when it happens again,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: we don't repeat the mistakes of the past. Have you
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: ever heard of saying that ain't no food like an
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: old fool? Because man, it's so crazy. You know, a
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: young person can do something at twenty and later on
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: in life it doesn't affect him. I gotta I know
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: a dude. I know a dude. Let me tell you this.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Right here, I know a dude who is over I'm

- 1:23:58Speaker 1: and this dude Hill has gotten two women pregnant at
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: the same time. If you did this when you were twenty,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: it would be a disaster. But you know you would go, boy,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: why didn't you? Boy? You didn't know? And you could
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: sit there and go, oh, man, I can't believe this.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: But if you do this at fifty, you can't explain
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: this to anybody. There is no boy didn't you? Boy?
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Didn't you think? How did you? You can't say it
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: because you're supposed to be well beyond that as a
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: thinking man. So Antonio Brown's decisions to handle it the
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: way he do it and then expose everything on social
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: media social media is going to be the demise of you,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: of him, listen, man, do you know how many times

- 1:25:01Speaker 1: money to a one year contract in a sport where
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: you can get hurt any day, and once you get
