- 0:06Speaker 2: It's to show that she is the secrets of success
- 0:08Speaker 2: experience firsthand by Marketing and Brandon expert Rashan McDonald. I
- 0:12Speaker 2: will know he's giving me advice on many occasions. And
- 0:14Speaker 2: in case you didn't notice, I'm not broke. You know
- 0:17Speaker 2: he'll be interviewing celebrity CEOs, entrepreneurs and industry decision make
- 0:21Speaker 2: because it's what he likes to do.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's what he likes to share.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Now it's time to hear from my man, Rashan McDonald
- 0:27Speaker 2: money making conversations.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Wow.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Stephen A was on The Talk today.
- 0:32Speaker 4: If you watch the Talk, he was promoting his book
- 0:36Speaker 4: Straight Shooter, a book that was basically dedicated to his mom.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Talks about his.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Career when he got fired from ESPN and how he
- 0:44Speaker 4: came back and becoming one of the major stars today.
- 0:47Speaker 4: That's Sue's voicing my intro every Tuesday and nationally on
- 0:50Speaker 4: syndicated and as well A it's on TV and streaming
- 0:53Speaker 4: on TV. That is money making conversation. I'm probably to
- 0:56Speaker 4: say that's the divorce of stephen A.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Smith.
- 0:58Speaker 4: All Right, Andrew Sean McDonald, as you know, a host
- 1:00Speaker 4: the weekly money Making Compensations Masterclass Show. The interviews and
- 1:04Speaker 4: information that this show provides are for everyone. It's time
- 1:07Speaker 4: to stop reading other people's success stories and really start
- 1:10Speaker 4: living your own. My guess on the show that they
- 1:12Speaker 4: have two of them. My first guest is doctor Robert Watkins.
- 1:16Speaker 4: He is all about building generational wealth. Doctor Watkins is
- 1:19Speaker 4: also known for several works he is authored. I've interviewed
- 1:22Speaker 4: him several times on various platforms that I call part
- 1:26Speaker 4: of our media empire, including his signature financial system and
- 1:30Speaker 4: book Never Chase a Paycheck Again. That's a great title
- 1:33Speaker 4: for a book, Never Chase a Paycheck Again. Doctor Watkins
- 1:37Speaker 4: is also hosting and producing the twenty twenty three Kings
- 1:40Speaker 4: and Priest Men's Empowerment Summit, held on October twenty seven
- 1:44Speaker 4: to twenty eighth at the Riverside Epicenter in Austere, Georgia,
- 1:48Speaker 4: which is located if you're flying into town. It's located
- 1:51Speaker 4: fifteen minutes from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport International Airport. The summit
- 1:56Speaker 4: central theme is to help men live their best lives
- 1:59Speaker 4: in every assay speak mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. The
- 2:03Speaker 4: guest speaker will be my man and so in a
- 2:05Speaker 4: long time Less Brown throughout the event checked his out
- 2:08Speaker 4: this weekend, like I said, through twenty seventh and twenty
- 2:11Speaker 4: eighth of October. Throughout the event, participants can engage with
- 2:14Speaker 4: the Summer's dynamic speakers participating in the thought provoking workshop
- 2:18Speaker 4: and join interactive panel discussions. Things like shark tanks and
- 2:22Speaker 4: all these things will be going down. Please welcome to the
- 2:24Speaker 4: Money Making Conversation Master Class, Doctor Robert Watkins.
- 2:27Speaker 3: How you doing, sir, wonderful, wonderful, so good to be
- 2:31Speaker 3: back with you. Thank you for having me on.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Well so much. You know, you know you're so inspiring
- 2:36Speaker 1: and sow uplift.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Now now I got to ask you the magazine question
- 2:39Speaker 4: about the twenty twenty three Kings and Priest event, which
- 2:42Speaker 4: is happened in October twenty seven to twenty eighth.
- 2:44Speaker 3: What's the charge, Well, it's we have a free It's
- 2:47Speaker 3: free for those who want to come and enjoy us
- 2:51Speaker 3: honoring you and many others on Friday night, so it's
- 2:55Speaker 3: one forty nine. If they want to come on Saturday
- 2:58Speaker 3: as well, we'll have a power lunch, a chance and
- 3:00Speaker 3: hang out with the speakers. There's panels. But our whole
- 3:03Speaker 3: thing is ensuring that men work together strategically so we
- 3:07Speaker 3: all can finish strong this year. You know, we need
- 3:10Speaker 3: each other. And this platform does this stuff.
- 3:13Speaker 4: So you utter the words free. So how they went
- 3:17Speaker 4: to go to a website? Is their number they can
- 3:18Speaker 4: call to get this information because it's a men supported event.
- 3:24Speaker 4: I know you get sponsors on board, but you want
- 3:26Speaker 4: men to come there to kind of for this weekend too.
- 3:29Speaker 4: It isn't empowered weekly for women. We hear a lot
- 3:31Speaker 4: of these type of things like basically what they do
- 3:34Speaker 4: at essence every fourth of July weekend. That's an empowermenty
- 3:37Speaker 4: event for women. We all know that. But I know
- 3:40Speaker 4: you have been an author, a king so to speak
- 3:44Speaker 4: behind empowerment events for men.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Why yeah, Well, when men get in position financially and
- 3:52Speaker 3: we'll become emotionally whole. Our families stay together, our children
- 3:56Speaker 3: stay off the streets. Great things happen when men are empowered.
- 4:01Speaker 3: When they are when they have the resources and the
- 4:03Speaker 3: relationships that they need, their marriagans are going to be happier.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Divorce rates go down, unemployment rates begin to go down,
- 4:11Speaker 3: entrepreneurship rates go up. When men get in position in
- 4:14Speaker 3: our communities and our homes, and that has to be
- 4:16Speaker 3: our focus, especially as young people and especially as minority.
- 4:20Speaker 3: We have to get in position because there's nobody coming
- 4:23Speaker 3: to save our men. We got to work together to
- 4:25Speaker 3: save each other.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Well, it was really true.
- 4:27Speaker 4: You know, I've lived in born and races in Houston,
- 4:32Speaker 4: Dr Watkins, and lived in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles,
- 4:36Speaker 4: and currently live in Atlanta and every one of those cities.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You know.
- 4:41Speaker 4: You know, black stories, negative black stories lead and unfortunately
- 4:45Speaker 4: a lot of them tied to men in violent crimes
- 4:48Speaker 4: or robbery. And that's that's the image that you know,
- 4:51Speaker 4: our young people that people are other races, especially white
- 4:55Speaker 4: people tend to have of African American men. So we
- 4:58Speaker 4: already stereotype every morning, news and afternoons because of the
- 5:03Speaker 4: color of our skin. And these type of events kind
- 5:06Speaker 4: of like help us out too, because we can fall
- 5:09Speaker 4: victim to the stereotype. You you know, if you keep
- 5:11Speaker 4: telling somebody that that these type of people stealing, these
- 5:15Speaker 4: type of people are Qreat Robbert, you can start doubting
- 5:17Speaker 4: who you are and whether you.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Can be successful in this business.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Correct, absolutely, you know, one thing you always say and
- 5:24Speaker 3: I listen to you intently. We have to change the narrative.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And so we got to get out of talking into
- 5:29Speaker 3: actually doing. And there is a remnant of people, a
- 5:32Speaker 3: remnant of men who say, you know what, enough is
- 5:34Speaker 3: enough enough with the stereotypes. I'm breaking out of this.
- 5:37Speaker 3: But we can't do it ourselves. We've got to come
- 5:39Speaker 3: out of our basements, out of our depression, out of
- 5:42Speaker 3: our loneliness, out of our brokenness, out of our insecurities,
- 5:46Speaker 3: and say, you know what, life is not about me.
- 5:49Speaker 3: It's about me helping another man. And when we do that,
- 5:52Speaker 3: because other races do that, that's how a white brothers
- 5:55Speaker 3: has been able to survive all this time. Our Jewish
- 5:57Speaker 3: brothers been able to survive all the time because they
- 5:59Speaker 3: group together and they work together. But they have to
- 6:01Speaker 3: have a common cause. It's not just about money. It's
- 6:04Speaker 3: about our children and our children's children. We all have
- 6:07Speaker 3: the same cause. And when we come together, this is
- 6:10Speaker 3: no greater talent, in my opinion, than it is of
- 6:13Speaker 3: a black man who's working with another black man. That's
- 6:16Speaker 3: why the world fights so hard to keep us separated.
- 6:20Speaker 3: But when we come together, businesses, families, everything, money begins
- 6:24Speaker 3: to happen, and abundance and gets you benefits everybody, Right,
- 6:29Speaker 3: that's a benefit.
- 6:30Speaker 4: And that is so important that people hear that because
- 6:33Speaker 4: sometimes we just don't care. We just want to stop
- 6:36Speaker 4: the success stories. Again of talking to doctor Robert Watkins
- 6:40Speaker 4: his event that I'll be honored at. You know, tickets
- 6:43Speaker 4: are complementary for the Kings and priests. You can go
- 6:45Speaker 4: to this website kings ink ink as, kingsink dot com,
- 6:50Speaker 4: k I n G, s I n C dot com,
- 6:53Speaker 4: kingsink dot com for the event schedule for registration this
- 6:58Speaker 4: October twenty seventh and twenty eight Again, it's in Austell, Georgia,
- 7:02Speaker 4: which is fifteen minutes from Atlanta's herts For International Airport.
- 7:07Speaker 1: If you live in that area or you're flying it
- 7:08Speaker 1: in town.
- 7:09Speaker 4: For event, it's definitely an event, a man empowerment event. Now,
- 7:13Speaker 4: you recently did one in Orlando, correct in.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Florida's Yes, How is that tell.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Us about the difference between the two, because, like I
- 7:20Speaker 4: like to tell everybody, this is not a one off,
- 7:22Speaker 4: this is like his twentieth year. He's been doing this.
- 7:24Speaker 4: He's been reaching back and grabbing you know that famous
- 7:28Speaker 4: photo of a black arm reaching down, another black arm
- 7:33Speaker 4: grabbing in you pulling it up. That's been your mantra.
- 7:35Speaker 4: That's been your manto. Tell us about that other event.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Well, Orlando, every city, as you mentioned, and you live
- 7:41Speaker 3: in many cities, and thank you for for laying that
- 7:43Speaker 3: out force. Each city has its own personality. Orlando is
- 7:47Speaker 3: different than Atlanta. Orlando is a is a new black city,
- 7:51Speaker 3: as I call it. It's kind of maybe where Atlanta
- 7:53Speaker 3: was probably thirty years ago. While there's more than thirty
- 7:56Speaker 3: five hundred people a day are moving to Orlando, and
- 8:00Speaker 3: so Atlanta was like that some time ago. So you
- 8:02Speaker 3: have a lot of new relationships there. And so what
- 8:05Speaker 3: we did in Orlando, we brought together five or six
- 8:08Speaker 3: hundred brothers came together for that Kings in Prices Orlando,
- 8:11Speaker 3: and it was new even so many people. The pastors
- 8:14Speaker 3: didn't know each other, the business people didn't know each other,
- 8:17Speaker 3: the professional class didn't know each other, the media didn't
- 8:19Speaker 3: know each other. So bringing those guys together the room
- 8:22Speaker 3: was really special. Atlanta is a little different because most
- 8:27Speaker 3: people are from someplace else, but most of us have
- 8:29Speaker 3: been there for some time, and we got to get
- 8:32Speaker 3: out of our In Atlanta, you don't know who's real
- 8:35Speaker 3: and who's not right. You don't know who has money,
- 8:37Speaker 3: who doesn't have money. Everybody's falsest, everybody's ringing card houses.
- 8:42Speaker 3: You don't know who's real who's not. Everybody knows somebody
- 8:44Speaker 3: who's a celebrity. Everybody used to be a celebrity. So
- 8:47Speaker 3: we have a lot of false, false narratives that we
- 8:50Speaker 3: have we bring to the table, and so we're getting
- 8:53Speaker 3: beyond that. We're taking down the mask in Atlanta, and
- 8:56Speaker 3: we're saying, listen, you, we know you need money. Here's
- 8:59Speaker 3: how to get We know that you don't have any
- 9:01Speaker 3: real wealth, here's how to get it. We know that
- 9:04Speaker 3: you're walking around with a script and you're trying to
- 9:06Speaker 3: get it financed, and you've been doing this for the
- 9:08Speaker 3: last three years and you're just not getting it done.
- 9:12Speaker 3: You have a group of people who are ready to
- 9:14Speaker 3: get it done. I'm bringing in my best investors, my
- 9:16Speaker 3: best money people, my best pastors, my best ministers. We've
- 9:21Speaker 3: got doctor Tart that's coming, who is a world renowned
- 9:25Speaker 3: Christian psychiatrist to help us deal with emotional issues. And
- 9:30Speaker 3: so we're bringing the best in the brightest to help
- 9:32Speaker 3: men really become the man that they're supposed to be
- 9:36Speaker 3: and having the things that they're supposed to have when
- 9:38Speaker 3: they leave out of there. If you're whatever you're broken in,
- 9:41Speaker 3: I'm telling you it's going to be fit.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you something, doctor Welkins. I was
- 9:45Speaker 4: just going to come one day. You got me fired up. Brother,
- 9:50Speaker 4: I have to be there because this what happened at
- 9:52Speaker 4: the event. Men will expand their network and build valuable relationships,
- 9:57Speaker 4: pitch their business and ministry to potential and esters for
- 10:00Speaker 4: financial support. Learn from billion dollar real estate producers about
- 10:05Speaker 4: wealth building strategies, deepen their connection with God and your
- 10:10Speaker 4: daily work and business life. It's called faith. Leave a
- 10:14Speaker 4: rich legacy for three generations because at the beginning I
- 10:16Speaker 4: told you about generational wealth and build generational wealth for
- 10:20Speaker 4: their families. That's a lot to say, and that's a
- 10:24Speaker 4: that's something that you are honoring me. Why are you
- 10:26Speaker 4: honoring lit No, Rashaan McDonald, Why.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Are you because you personally mad?
- 10:30Speaker 4: I'm just I'm just a doctor parking When you made
- 10:33Speaker 4: that call, man, I could you said, Rashana.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say just this.
- 10:37Speaker 4: I'm not even going to the detail, but I was
- 10:40Speaker 4: that was a blessing brother, because I because you know,
- 10:42Speaker 4: because you you you work so hard. I was like,
- 10:44Speaker 4: you was grind men. I'm a grinder, you know. And
- 10:47Speaker 4: this year has been amazing. Man, how things have come
- 10:51Speaker 4: from my company, come to me as an individual and
- 10:54Speaker 4: this King's and priests.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Tell everybody what it is exactly, and why are you
- 10:58Speaker 1: honoring me?
- 11:01Speaker 3: We're honoring you because of your influence. Since there's a
- 11:05Speaker 3: lot of people that are listening that have influence and
- 11:07Speaker 3: they're misusing their influence. You're using your influence for good
- 11:11Speaker 3: to help people using your platforms. We see you on
- 11:14Speaker 3: social media, we'll hear you on the radio. And the
- 11:17Speaker 3: last time I was on the radio with you, they
- 11:18Speaker 3: were several guys from Houston. They came and they said,
- 11:21Speaker 3: we came because mister McDonald told us to come here.
- 11:26Speaker 3: They flew, he flew his It was like maybe ten
- 11:29Speaker 3: of them, and one guy flew in with his son,
- 11:32Speaker 3: his twenty seven year old son. They haven't talked in years. Wow.
- 11:37Speaker 3: And they got on a plane together. They traveled together,
- 11:40Speaker 3: which was monumental. They came to the meeting and they
- 11:42Speaker 3: got what they needed, and they came because of your influence.
- 11:47Speaker 3: That's just a small part the things that you've been
- 11:49Speaker 3: doing with all these celebrities for all the all of
- 11:52Speaker 3: these years. Man, we thank God for that, but we
- 11:54Speaker 3: think even God even more for the little things that
- 11:58Speaker 3: you've done for men and women over the year to
- 12:00Speaker 3: show us that you care, and that is worthy of
- 12:02Speaker 3: an honor. And I can't wait to stand you in
- 12:05Speaker 3: front of hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of men to
- 12:08Speaker 3: give you your flowers as an example to how other
- 12:11Speaker 3: men should live their lives. And that's why we're honoring Wow.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You know, I grew up with six sisters, you know,
- 12:17Speaker 4: and they made this man. You know, they their four
- 12:21Speaker 4: older sisters. I was a middle child. So that blessing
- 12:24Speaker 4: is from their hard work making me respectful.
- 12:28Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:28Speaker 4: I always tell people my I didn't other curse words
- 12:31Speaker 4: until I was nineteen years old, because that was you know,
- 12:35Speaker 4: and because I was afraid my dad.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You know, my dad said, hey, what'd you say?
- 12:38Speaker 3: Boy?
- 12:39Speaker 1: And so I'm old school okay, you know.
- 12:43Speaker 4: And so when I think about what is happening with
- 12:46Speaker 4: this particular honor, it's more so about me being able
- 12:50Speaker 4: to share my emotional values with individuals who attend this event.
- 12:55Speaker 4: And that's the key really that I get to be
- 12:59Speaker 4: able to take the time like I said. You know,
- 13:02Speaker 4: I didn't really, you know, because I'm just like I said,
- 13:05Speaker 4: I'm a grinder, Ladies and gentlemen. I just sit down
- 13:07Speaker 4: and I just do. And then when I started doing
- 13:09Speaker 4: my research on the event and what they was trying
- 13:12Speaker 4: to do, how can I not be there doing my part,
- 13:16Speaker 4: doing my part? Who if anybody shows up, if anybody
- 13:20Speaker 4: flies into town.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I gotta be there. I gotta be there. And then
- 13:23Speaker 1: my boy Less Brown talking too.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Come on, now, yes, we're excited about Les Brown coming.
- 13:29Speaker 3: He's excited. I was with Less a few days ago,
- 13:31Speaker 3: we were downtown together, and he's excited to see you
- 13:35Speaker 3: again as well. And you know, he said something that
- 13:37Speaker 3: was very key, and he said, he's only done one
- 13:40Speaker 3: other men's conference. Now this is Less Brown right in
- 13:43Speaker 3: his entire career, and that was a man power with TDJS.
- 13:47Speaker 3: He says, He says, this is only the second time,
- 13:49Speaker 3: and it's a lustless career of speaking of almost sixty years.
- 13:54Speaker 3: And so he's got something to say to us men
- 13:58Speaker 3: to make us more solid and for you and him
- 14:00Speaker 3: to be in the room together, boy, and you talk
- 14:03Speaker 3: about power So if there's anything that we can do
- 14:07Speaker 3: to serve you, to serve the men, I don't know
- 14:09Speaker 3: what else we can do, because we want these men
- 14:12Speaker 3: to come and we're learning from Here's what I call
- 14:15Speaker 3: h and you're you're one of these people, fathers of
- 14:18Speaker 3: the faith. You're you burst many of them than many
- 14:23Speaker 3: many many of you fathered us without even knowing that
- 14:25Speaker 3: You've got sons all over the place, and it's important
- 14:28Speaker 3: that the son honors a father.
- 14:30Speaker 4: While we can I appreciate that, I can't even respond
- 14:33Speaker 4: to that. I just know that this event has always
- 14:36Speaker 4: had incredible global leaders, as is John Maxwell, TDJ, Scruffle
- 14:40Speaker 4: Dollar Dale Browna, that's my buddy right there. And the
- 14:44Speaker 4: fact that it's just not going to be there. I know,
- 14:47Speaker 4: Ran Hudson, that's my man, Chess King gonna be there.
- 14:50Speaker 4: A lot of incredible people going to be there being
- 14:52Speaker 4: honored on this night and this weekend, you know, and
- 14:55Speaker 4: Marcus Benjamin, William Murphy, doctor Sam Chid, Luther Ragsdale's so
- 15:01Speaker 4: many incredible people that you selected for this event. But
- 15:05Speaker 4: the bottom line is that when we come back, I
- 15:07Speaker 4: want to get into that generational wealth. You know that
- 15:10Speaker 4: that whole thing you know you almost shut down my
- 15:13Speaker 4: show last time you was on here.
- 15:14Speaker 1: People calling me from Houston. How I get I was
- 15:16Speaker 1: calling you?
- 15:17Speaker 3: Man?
- 15:17Speaker 4: When you return them phone calls? When we come back,
- 15:20Speaker 4: we go here. He's the he's the founder, promoter, producer
- 15:24Speaker 4: of Kings and Priests, an event I will be honored
- 15:26Speaker 4: a bit more importantly, great financial advice from doctor Robert Rotkins.
- 15:31Speaker 4: When we return to Money Making Conversation Masterclass, We'll.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Be right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass with
- 15:44Speaker 5: rough Shawn McDonald.

- 16:16Speaker 5: You are now tuned into the Money Making Conversations Minute
- 16:19Speaker 5: of Inspiration with Rashawn McDonald.
- 16:22Speaker 7: Following Tameron Hall's bittersweet exit from NBC Today Show more
- 16:25Speaker 7: than two years ago. A lot of people wrote her
- 16:28Speaker 7: off and some said it was a mistake to leave
- 16:30Speaker 7: the show. Well, Tameron Hall has overcome the odds and
- 16:33Speaker 7: now hosts one of the hottest shows in daytime talk.
- 16:36Speaker 8: Most important to me and for me is that folks
- 16:39Speaker 8: who are at home launching know what they're getting. They're
- 16:42Speaker 8: getting a real conversation. I hope they're getting smart questions.
- 16:45Speaker 8: We are looking for substantive ways to make our lives
- 16:48Speaker 8: better as people, as parents. The human experience is a
- 16:52Speaker 8: common thread. At the end of the day. I don't
- 16:55Speaker 8: want someone keeping me from my dream. I don't want
- 16:57Speaker 8: someone you know, standing in my way. I want inspiration.
- 17:01Speaker 8: I want to be a better wife, I want to
- 17:02Speaker 8: be a better daughter, I want to be a better mom.
- 17:05Speaker 8: And so that's a big part of what we talk
- 17:07Speaker 8: about on our show.
- 17:09Speaker 7: If you want to hear this full interview with Tameron Hall,
- 17:12Speaker 7: visit Moneymaking Conversation dot com.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Keep winning.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Now let's return to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rashaan McDonald.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Welcome back to Money Making Conversations Masterclass. I'm talking to
- 17:24Speaker 4: doctor Robert Watkins his event. If you want more information,
- 17:28Speaker 4: it's Kings ekeww dot Kings Inc.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Dot com.
- 17:31Speaker 4: It's ki n K I n GS Inc dot com
- 17:35Speaker 4: for more information about the event that happening in October
- 17:38Speaker 4: twenty seventh and twenty eighth as an event that's honoring
- 17:41Speaker 4: and supporting men and walking us through various steps of
- 17:46Speaker 4: being able to make a better life for ourselves. Because
- 17:49Speaker 4: once you make a better life for yourself, then you
- 17:50Speaker 4: make a better life for your family and the people
- 17:52Speaker 4: around you. Doctor Robert Watkins, let's get on to the
- 17:55Speaker 4: financial end of a conversation that always seems to turn
- 17:59Speaker 4: up the phone dolls when you come on the show.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Where do you get your information about financial success?
- 18:05Speaker 3: Well, we've got mister Luther Ragsdale that is coming to
- 18:09Speaker 3: Kingston Trees. He has bought, sold, and managed over two
- 18:12Speaker 3: billion dollars of real estate before age forty, and he's
- 18:17Speaker 3: coming to share about how he did what he did.
- 18:20Speaker 3: That's billions with a bee, and he did it in
- 18:24Speaker 3: real estate. And so I always tell people everybody's not
- 18:29Speaker 3: cut off cut out to be an entrepreneur, but everyone
- 18:32Speaker 3: is cut out to be an investor. What does that
- 18:34Speaker 3: mean taking the money you have and investing it in something?
- 18:38Speaker 3: The question is what should we be investing our money?
- 18:41Speaker 3: In right now, we should be investing our money in
- 18:43Speaker 3: anything that God has made, anything like gold, silver, real estate, oil, commodities, food,
- 18:51Speaker 3: anything that is in its raw material is going to
- 18:55Speaker 3: appreciate when the economy gets economy gets bad, and the
- 18:59Speaker 3: economy is going to get tougher, it's going to get darker.
- 19:03Speaker 3: And so what we do is advise people. I don't
- 19:05Speaker 3: care if you have one hundred dollars, I don't care
- 19:07Speaker 3: if you have five hundred dollars. What if you have
- 19:08Speaker 3: at the end of the month, before you spend that
- 19:11Speaker 3: money on a dinner that you're just going to kind
- 19:14Speaker 3: of burp and it's going away, before you spend that
- 19:17Speaker 3: money on shoes, call Robert Watkins and let's grow that
- 19:20Speaker 3: money that that hundred dollars to five hundred dollars to
- 19:23Speaker 3: one thousand dollars to one hundred thousand dollars to a
- 19:26Speaker 3: million dollars, maybe over four or five years. We can
- 19:29Speaker 3: show you how to do that and do it safely
- 19:32Speaker 3: with very little risk, because it's up to us to
- 19:36Speaker 3: build generational wealth. The bank is not going to tell
- 19:38Speaker 3: you how to build generational wealth. They're going to tell
- 19:41Speaker 3: you how to get in debt to get a car,
- 19:43Speaker 3: or how to get in debt to get a help.
- 19:44Speaker 3: They're not going to tell you how to build generational wealth.
- 19:47Speaker 3: That's our responsibility, and so we're bringing all these people
- 19:50Speaker 3: together to help do that. But if you can't make
- 19:53Speaker 3: the conference, you need to give us a call, and
- 19:56Speaker 3: we don't care what you have. Just have a little
- 19:58Speaker 3: bit of discipline to follow the instructions. We've set people
- 20:03Speaker 3: up to own bed and breakfast and restaurants and hotels
- 20:07Speaker 3: and motels and set companies anything that has been making money.
- 20:12Speaker 3: We've been a part of it. And we have our
- 20:14Speaker 3: own financial company as well to help move you along
- 20:16Speaker 3: a little bit further in life. You know, you have
- 20:18Speaker 3: to have an advisor.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Right because that's the whole thing is that you know,
- 20:22Speaker 4: I went through life and I've done a lot of things,
- 20:24Speaker 4: but I never had advisor that I trusted. I'm gonna
- 20:27Speaker 4: be honest with you, and that's the key word right there.
- 20:29Speaker 4: I have people in my financial planners, but I don't
- 20:31Speaker 4: know if I trust you, because guess what, you really
- 20:34Speaker 4: have to be patient. You have to understand the long run,
- 20:38Speaker 4: you know, like you know, like I said, compound and interest,
- 20:41Speaker 4: that was the word I never understood, and then my
- 20:43Speaker 4: wife said that that's been around forever.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I just looked that though, okay, thank you, thank you.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Let me realize I could have put something in thirty
- 20:51Speaker 4: years ago and we wouldn't need talking to nobody right
- 20:54Speaker 4: now because that. But because you hear about stock, you
- 20:57Speaker 4: hear about all. But there's simple processes that the bank
- 21:00Speaker 4: won't tell you about. Why is it that we go
- 21:04Speaker 4: to these banks? Let me ask you this, doctor, Robert Watkins,
- 21:08Speaker 4: how should we approach going into a bank?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Should we do some things differently?
- 21:12Speaker 4: Or you just won't win going into a bank trying
- 21:15Speaker 4: to get financial success.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Well, first of all, you have to understand the purpose
- 21:20Speaker 3: of a bank is not to make you money. The
- 21:23Speaker 3: only thing a bank can do at this point is
- 21:25Speaker 3: cash my check. The bank is in I was going
- 21:30Speaker 3: to cuss the bank is in the business of taking
- 21:33Speaker 3: people's money and using it to loan to other people.
- 21:38Speaker 3: That's the whole purpose of the bank. So I told
- 21:42Speaker 3: a group of pastors this morning, I was I was
- 21:44Speaker 3: ministering in black churches bring in nineteen billion dollars a month,
- 21:49Speaker 3: I mean nineteen billion dollars a year. Right, But the
- 21:53Speaker 3: reason why we don't feel it reason why we're not
- 21:55Speaker 3: sending kids to college and building facilities to the elderly.
- 21:59Speaker 3: The reason why we don't fill nineteen billion dollars in
- 22:01Speaker 3: Black America, it's because it's strapping thirty billion dollars in debt.
- 22:07Speaker 3: So when you have a debt mindset, like there's a
- 22:11Speaker 3: better way to get a house other than you just
- 22:13Speaker 3: getting Alan for thirty years. There's a better way of
- 22:16Speaker 3: you getting a part other than getting Alan for seven years.
- 22:20Speaker 3: The cars don't even number worth anything after five years.
- 22:23Speaker 3: So it's our mindset and approach to it. And so
- 22:27Speaker 3: your approach to bank should be I have money, I
- 22:30Speaker 3: have a vision. You need what I have. I don't
- 22:34Speaker 3: need you, you need me. And so the mindset is,
- 22:38Speaker 3: I'm doing your favor by putting my money in your
- 22:41Speaker 3: bank and so for that and I'm doing it consistently.
- 22:45Speaker 3: If I have a job, You're bringing a lot of
- 22:48Speaker 3: power to an entity that is acting like it doesn't
- 22:51Speaker 3: need you, and it does need you. And so the
- 22:54Speaker 3: first thing we have to understand is it is the
- 22:57Speaker 3: mindset of you have the power. Second, maybe you mentioned
- 23:01Speaker 3: compound and interests. Einstein said that is the great money multiplier,
- 23:05Speaker 3: and it really is and that is something that we
- 23:09Speaker 3: all need to learn. And that is something that that
- 23:12Speaker 3: is putting your money to work. As I said earlier,
- 23:14Speaker 3: everybody's not cut out to be an entreneur, but everybody's
- 23:16Speaker 3: cut out to be an investor. You need to educate
- 23:19Speaker 3: yourself on compound and interests and find out which entities,
- 23:24Speaker 3: which banks, or which investment banks, which dots have that
- 23:28Speaker 3: type of mode, that type of strategy to put your
- 23:34Speaker 3: money to work. Because money makes a terrible, terrible boss,
- 23:37Speaker 3: but it makes a great employee. So we have to
- 23:41Speaker 3: talk about how can I put this five hundred dollars
- 23:44Speaker 3: to work? And we have strategies to do that. So
- 23:50Speaker 3: a savings account, it doesn't make sense for you to
- 23:53Speaker 3: have a savings account with one thousand dollars in it
- 23:56Speaker 3: and you have a credit card with ten thousand dollars
- 23:59Speaker 3: on it. It account is giving you one percent interest
- 24:02Speaker 3: as the credit card has twenty three percent interest rate
- 24:05Speaker 3: on it. It makes no sense keeping a thousand dollars there, right,
- 24:09Speaker 3: take a thousand dollars all the savings account and pay
- 24:12Speaker 3: off and put it towards that that credit card. It's
- 24:15Speaker 3: just small things like that that can help you build wealth,
- 24:18Speaker 3: And it was the last thing I will say. The
- 24:19Speaker 3: end goal can't be making money. The end goal has
- 24:23Speaker 3: to be building wealth. There's a difference. The wealth is
- 24:28Speaker 3: is anything that can be handed down from generation to generation.
- 24:32Speaker 3: That should be our mindset. Nobody's gonna want your beat
- 24:35Speaker 3: up jellopey card, and when you die, nobody's even gonna want,
- 24:39Speaker 3: you know, your red bottom shoes, your thirty two inch weaves.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Nobody's gonna want any of that stuff that's not wealth.
- 24:45Speaker 3: So the issue is what can I leave behind for
- 24:49Speaker 3: my children? And that's what I need to work on.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Wow.
- 24:52Speaker 4: You know, one of the things that thank you for
- 24:54Speaker 4: that advice. One of the things that when we talk
- 24:56Speaker 4: about financial security at the event, you'll be taken dealing
- 25:00Speaker 4: with men's, especially black men's mental health. And I remember
- 25:05Speaker 4: when I first got my first writer's job back in
- 25:08Speaker 4: ninety three on Men and the Boys. It was starring
- 25:10Speaker 4: Steve Harvey, and every Friday they were white, they would
- 25:15Speaker 4: go to a therapist and I just didn't understand why
- 25:18Speaker 4: these white dudes kept going to these therapists. But that's
- 25:22Speaker 4: you know, that's the number of years ago we talked
- 25:24Speaker 4: about thirty years ago, where I saw this process being
- 25:30Speaker 4: played out at a job. It was accepted in Hollywood
- 25:33Speaker 4: that this was fine. And the black community still is
- 25:37Speaker 4: denying the stress. And we're born in the stress because
- 25:40Speaker 4: of the color of our skin, the way we're being
- 25:41Speaker 4: serious type. So we live a stressful life, but we
- 25:44Speaker 4: are not seeking out mental support. Why is that and
- 25:47Speaker 4: how it's being made available at the event.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Well, it's still made available because one of the major
- 25:54Speaker 3: issues is emotional insecurity is what I call it, and
- 25:59Speaker 3: other communities understand. If I don't keep my life together,
- 26:02Speaker 3: I'm going to be poor. If I don't keep my
- 26:04Speaker 3: mirrorge together. If I don't if I don't keep my sanctity,
- 26:08Speaker 3: if I allow stress to overtake me, it's going to
- 26:10Speaker 3: ruin my health. It's going to ruin my capacity to
- 26:13Speaker 3: make money, my capacity to be productive. If I shut
- 26:17Speaker 3: down and I start shutting other things that are important
- 26:20Speaker 3: to me down, like my children and my family. If
- 26:23Speaker 3: I start shutting down, I'm going to I'm not going
- 26:26Speaker 3: to be any good to anybody. So you're part of
- 26:29Speaker 3: your prosperity and your financial plan has to be emotional holeness.
- 26:34Speaker 3: So that's why guys on Wall Street, who's on tremendous,
- 26:37Speaker 3: tremendous pressure go to these therapists. That's why pastors do it,
- 26:42Speaker 3: That's why business leaders do it. I do it, my
- 26:44Speaker 3: wife does it. We're very successful and we do something
- 26:48Speaker 3: called marriage maintenance. I look forward to those sessions. It's great.
- 26:52Speaker 3: It's keeping me on track, and it's keeping my language
- 26:55Speaker 3: on track's keeping my vision focus, it's keeping me focused.
- 26:59Speaker 3: So it's allowing me to be present with my daughters.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Has allowing me to be present with my mother does
- 27:03Speaker 3: allowing me to be present even on this phone call.
- 27:05Speaker 3: And I have a lot of things going on right now,
- 27:08Speaker 3: but what keeps me focused is those therapy sessions in
- 27:12Speaker 3: keeping me emotionally hall. So the question is why don't
- 27:15Speaker 3: more of us do this? Because we're afraid. We're afraid
- 27:19Speaker 3: to ask for help. We're afraid to say, you know what,
- 27:22Speaker 3: I'm scared. I'm scared of losing my life. I'm scared
- 27:27Speaker 3: of losing my house. I'm scared of losing my job.
- 27:29Speaker 3: I am scared, and there's nobody I can talk to.
- 27:34Speaker 3: That's the money you should pay to go see someone
- 27:37Speaker 3: like doctor Tart, who's going to be at Kings and
- 27:38Speaker 3: Priests and he's going to help you get through that.
- 27:41Speaker 3: And that's a part of that whole unity thing. It's
- 27:43Speaker 3: not just about making money, it's about keeping your life together,
- 27:46Speaker 3: building wealth so you can leave something for this next generation.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Wow.
- 27:51Speaker 4: As we close out, the tickets are complimentary for the
- 27:54Speaker 4: Kings and Priest event which is October twenty seven, twenty eight.
- 27:57Speaker 4: As we wrap it up, just tell everybody exactly what's
- 28:00Speaker 4: going down at the event and why. Men men who
- 28:04Speaker 4: want information, men who want to be inspired, men who
- 28:06Speaker 4: want to discuss financial wealth, generational wealth, men who want
- 28:10Speaker 4: to be in a position to really tap into mental wholeness,
- 28:13Speaker 4: mental strength, and mental values they were carriative to the
- 28:16Speaker 4: next level. Tell us about the event as we wrap
- 28:18Speaker 4: up the interview and it thank you sir for coming
- 28:20Speaker 4: on my show, Money Making Conversation Master Class.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Well, it's always a pleasure to talk to a father
- 28:25Speaker 3: in the safe. You know. The reason why this is
- 28:27Speaker 3: so important is because men we need each other. One
- 28:31Speaker 3: of the big studies right now that's happening in this
- 28:33Speaker 3: economy is that men are facing loneliness. And when you're lonely,
- 28:38Speaker 3: when you're by yourself, you feel like nobody understands. It's
- 28:41Speaker 3: just a really, really difficult place to be, but I
- 28:44Speaker 3: believe that every man and every woman that's listening here,
- 28:46Speaker 3: you have a vision, you have a purpose, there's something
- 28:48Speaker 3: greater you're supposed to be doing, and we're going to
- 28:51Speaker 3: help men just do just that. You're going to be
- 28:52Speaker 3: a better father, a better husband, a better lover to
- 28:55Speaker 3: your wife. You're going to be present in all your things,
- 28:58Speaker 3: and you're going to be uber successful by mister McDonald,
- 29:01Speaker 3: and that's what we want from them. And we believe
- 29:04Speaker 3: that when the head gets in place, the man gets
- 29:06Speaker 3: in place in our homes, in our community, everything else
- 29:09Speaker 3: begins to flow. Money flows, love flows, life flows, happiness, smiles.
- 29:14Speaker 3: You make your mama proud, you make God crowd, and
- 29:17Speaker 3: that's exactly where we want you to be. So October
- 29:20Speaker 3: twenty seventh and twenty eight Kingsinc. Dot Com. It is complementary,
- 29:24Speaker 3: but we also have some VIP tickets available as well
- 29:26Speaker 3: from one forty nine and we look forward to meeting
