- 1:43Speaker 6: got to turn mouth.

- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on, you'll think that.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Uh huh, I sure will come on and everybody you
- 2:05Speaker 2: are listening to the voice, come on now, digny one.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And only Steve Harvey got a radio shows, thank God
- 2:13Speaker 1: for it all the time. Too. Well, here we go today.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I want to share something with you that will help
- 2:20Speaker 1: you because it's helped me.
- 2:23Speaker 7: You know.
- 2:23Speaker 8: I was.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Telling the story once that in this magazine called Rob Report,
- 2:31Speaker 2: that there was a statue I used to see for years.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I started buying Rob Report magazines years ago.
- 2:40Speaker 2: So I just wanted to see what affluent people did,
- 2:42Speaker 2: you know, just wanted to see what people with means did,
- 2:47Speaker 2: what type of investments they did, what they bought, you know,
- 2:50Speaker 2: where they traveled to the Rob Report. It's just like
- 2:52Speaker 2: a it's like a big boy toy magazine. You can
- 2:56Speaker 2: see what cars is out, you know. I didn't have
- 2:58Speaker 2: money for none of it. I was dreaming, though, you know,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I just wanted to see. And there's a statue inside
- 3:07Speaker 2: this magazine of this man who was coming out of
- 3:11Speaker 2: this bronze rock. And he was completely bronzed, and he
- 3:15Speaker 2: was muscular, and you know, he didn't look nothing like me,
- 3:19Speaker 2: but he was a man coming up out of a rock.
- 3:21Speaker 2: And he had a huge hammer and a chisel in
- 3:24Speaker 2: his hand. And as his body from the waist up
- 3:28Speaker 2: was coming out of this huge piece of stone, you
- 3:30Speaker 2: could see where it was him who had been chiseling
- 3:33Speaker 2: informing himself.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So the name of the statue was self made man.
- 3:39Speaker 2: And for years man, I said, Man, I'm gonna get
- 3:41Speaker 2: a big house one day, and I'm gonna put that
- 3:43Speaker 2: statue in the backyard in the corner. That's gonna be
- 3:46Speaker 2: my little spot where I go chill, because I'm a
- 3:50Speaker 2: self made man. Well, after years of working at becoming
- 3:56Speaker 2: somebody and having reached a degree of success, I would
- 4:04Speaker 2: have nothing to do with that statue. There's nothing about
- 4:08Speaker 2: that statue that appeals to me anymore, because on my
- 4:12Speaker 2: journey and in my quest to become what I thought
- 4:16Speaker 2: would be this self made man, where I could put
- 4:18Speaker 2: this statue and had this statue in the corner be
- 4:21Speaker 2: kind of cold symbolizing it.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I had made it. I realized on my journey there's
- 4:26Speaker 1: no such thing as a self made man. That we
- 4:30Speaker 1: all need help, and that God places people in our
- 4:35Speaker 1: paths along the way that benefit us oftentimes. And it's
- 4:40Speaker 1: the most unlikely person often times, and it's the most
- 4:44Speaker 1: unlikely way that He presents these people in front of you.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It's crazy how he does it.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Man.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And so this is a statue now that I look
- 4:52Speaker 2: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying.
- 4:55Speaker 2: And that's cool, but not for me, because I needed help.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And I've learned a lot of things like this along
- 5:04Speaker 2: the way. And the part I wanted to share with
- 5:08Speaker 2: you all about this is you've got to develop. You've
- 5:12Speaker 2: got to develop a sense of purpose. You have to
- 5:16Speaker 2: develop a sense of purpose. That's different. See, your purpose
- 5:23Speaker 2: is created for you by God because when He created
- 5:29Speaker 2: you as an individual. From whatever to parents you may have,
- 5:32Speaker 2: that's not important here. When he created you, he had
- 5:37Speaker 2: something in mind for you, and it was a purpose.
- 5:42Speaker 2: God has not created a single soul to become a criminal.
- 5:46Speaker 2: God has never created a single soul to be a
- 5:49Speaker 2: drug dealer. This came about through some decisions we made
- 5:54Speaker 2: as sinners, and we stayed in that place. But see
- 5:59Speaker 2: what he created us. He has a wonderful idea for us.
- 6:04Speaker 2: But God gives us human beings this thing called choice,
- 6:06Speaker 2: and we have the power to decide. So you could
- 6:09Speaker 2: decide if you're gonna adhere to the purpose that God
- 6:12Speaker 2: created you and made you for, or you can go
- 6:16Speaker 2: ahead and make some choices on your own. So like,
- 6:19Speaker 2: if God wanted to give you a life and give
- 6:21Speaker 2: it to come to you and give you life more abundantly,
- 6:24Speaker 2: and that's his promise if you come to him, if
- 6:26Speaker 2: you choose him, then cool.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But if you say, well this ain't moving along fast.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Enough, I'm gonna get my own life of abundance, I'm
- 6:34Speaker 2: gonna start slinging. Well, guess what now, Tada, You made
- 6:39Speaker 2: a decision and seek God's decisions and choices. The one
- 6:43Speaker 2: thing I learned about them, God's decisions, choices, his voice,
- 6:47Speaker 2: It has no sin in it. And it amazing how
- 6:50Speaker 2: many people it came up to you and said, the
- 6:52Speaker 2: Lord wanted me to do this to you, and I'm
- 6:54Speaker 2: doing it. That God is punishing you, and I'm doing
- 6:56Speaker 2: this to you because God gonna see that you get
- 6:59Speaker 2: your day.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Who who is this person?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Who is this person that God all of a sudden
- 7:05Speaker 2: gave this authority and power to God didn't get at
- 7:07Speaker 2: the nobody, man, nobody, This person only had the right
- 7:11Speaker 2: to hold you to your past, the right to make
- 7:14Speaker 2: you pay.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So who makes them pay when they make mistakes? Because
- 7:18Speaker 1: they all make them.
- 7:20Speaker 2: So when I say you have to have a sense
- 7:23Speaker 2: of you have to develop a strong sense of purpose.
- 7:26Speaker 2: That means you have to strongly get in touch with
- 7:28Speaker 2: your creator to find out what the purpose you were
- 7:30Speaker 2: created for. See, it's two things that I had to
- 7:34Speaker 2: learn along the way. My career was what I was
- 7:38Speaker 2: paid for. My calling is what I was made for. See,
- 7:44Speaker 2: it's two different things, folks. It took me a long
- 7:47Speaker 2: time to learn it. Some people think that they calling
- 7:52Speaker 2: is to be a performer. Well, that's what you paid for,
- 7:55Speaker 2: and a big part of your life is your performance.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It's tied directly to your gift. But what you made
- 8:01Speaker 2: for though, what you made for is to bring about
- 8:04Speaker 2: some significant change in another human beings lives because we
- 8:09Speaker 2: are all linked together in this chain.
- 8:11Speaker 1: That's what you are here for. Everybody has a purpose to.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Do something wonderful, meaningful, or impactful for another person. You
- 8:21Speaker 2: think the God that invented the airplane was merely inventing
- 8:25Speaker 2: the airplane so he could fly. Now, his purpose was
- 8:30Speaker 2: to become an inventor, to come up with this invention
- 8:33Speaker 2: so he could fly and we all fly.
- 8:36Speaker 1: See.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Sometimes God will make you successful so you can become successful,
- 8:40Speaker 2: so you can turn around to teach other people how
- 8:42Speaker 2: to become successful. God save people, so you can turn
- 8:46Speaker 2: around it tell other people how wonderful it is to
- 8:48Speaker 2: be saved.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You see how this thing work. That's what we have
- 8:53Speaker 1: to do as people. And it's nothing that we have
- 8:56Speaker 1: to go and discover. We have to go and develop it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: But if you haven't discovered your purpose, it's simply because
- 9:02Speaker 2: here's it. If you haven't discovered your purpose, it's simply
- 9:06Speaker 2: because you have not contacted the creator and maker of
- 9:12Speaker 2: your soul to ask and find out why you were created.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It's as simple as that.
- 9:23Speaker 2: If you buy a toyota, there's an owner's manual on
- 9:28Speaker 2: the inside that will tell you everything you know how
- 9:32Speaker 2: to best operate your toyota, how to make it work,
- 9:36Speaker 2: what to do they got a trouble shooting section. Your
- 9:40Speaker 2: faith is the same thing as an owner's manual in
- 9:43Speaker 2: your car. Open up that book, man, find out how
- 9:48Speaker 2: to jumpstart your life, how to troubleshoot it and get
- 9:51Speaker 2: on with your life, and find out your purpose and
- 9:54Speaker 2: develop a strong sense of purpose.
- 9:56Speaker 1: All right, Okay here listening to the seve ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Here we go again.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Another gift, another blessing, another opportunity. That's the only way
- 10:07Speaker 2: to look at it. You can't look at this gift
- 10:10Speaker 2: of waking up any other way except the blessing that
- 10:13Speaker 2: it is. You've got to recognize it, acknowledge it, and
- 10:17Speaker 2: be grateful for it. Because I'll tell you what, Let
- 10:21Speaker 2: it not pop off one morning, Miss the band Eternity,
- 10:27Speaker 2: don't answer the alarm. I have yet to meet the
- 10:32Speaker 2: person that can explain that feeling. Sounds pretty permanent to me.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna go on to keep being grateful for
- 10:40Speaker 2: this gift for myself. I thank you, Lord, appreciate it.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Steve Harvey. More on the show Live and Well, Shirley
- 10:45Speaker 2: Strawberry calling for real Mississippi, Monica Junior and the Legend
- 10:48Speaker 2: that is Nephew Tommy, ladies and gentlemen, Junior, what's happening today?
- 10:53Speaker 1: Don't?

- 10:55Speaker 3: I'm hungry, Okay, I'm just not eating at home right now.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm home.
- 11:00Speaker 9: What let me tell you, because she started doing this
- 11:03Speaker 9: plant based, we gotta be plant based now.
- 11:06Speaker 3: And let me tell you something.
- 11:06Speaker 9: After forty you don't want to spring this on nobody
- 11:09Speaker 9: after forty I'll tell you right now.
- 11:10Speaker 3: We had them tacos and the beings.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I can keep that. My body ain't built for that.
- 11:15Speaker 3: I need meat, I need I need. I need a chicken.
- 11:17Speaker 5: I need a cow.
- 11:18Speaker 1: You had tacos and beans, yeah, the tacos.
- 11:21Speaker 9: Yeah, and the beans to go on your bean plant
- 11:24Speaker 9: based everything. No, no, but she tried to set it
- 11:27Speaker 9: off like it was good.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I ain't.
- 11:29Speaker 9: I ain't eat all them tacos. Them tacos still downstairs
- 11:31Speaker 9: on that table. I ain't tell you I'm not eating them.
- 11:34Speaker 9: I'm sorry. I want meat. I want I won't. I
- 11:36Speaker 9: want beef tacos, That's what I want. I want beans
- 11:39Speaker 9: with chili meat in.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I want.
- 11:40Speaker 10: I want all of that.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I don't want this plant based Somewhere.
- 11:43Speaker 1: When she go to work, why don't you leave and
- 11:45Speaker 1: go get you something, and she gonna.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Come back in here and find out I've been eating meat.
- 11:50Speaker 6: Oh you.
- 11:53Speaker 9: Know, well, you can't hire the McDonald's bad that bag is.
- 11:57Speaker 9: You can see that bag in that trade hair. She
- 11:58Speaker 9: can see that.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Because right now you got a combination that I can't
- 12:05Speaker 1: fix for you.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Okay, you hungry?
- 12:09Speaker 2: So what you hungry and scared? Now now I can't
- 12:17Speaker 2: fix that combination. You can't be hungry and scared here
- 12:23Speaker 2: like now, Tommy then gave you the fix she go
- 12:26Speaker 2: to work, Go out and get yourself some meat.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You scared?
- 12:31Speaker 7: Do that?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Well, now your answer is hungry and scared. I can't
- 12:36Speaker 1: fix that.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Hunger usually drives a man into areas of greatness he
- 12:44Speaker 2: didn't know about.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I'll give you an example.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Sorry to turn this into a motivational moment, but hunger
- 12:51Speaker 2: drives a man into moments he didn't know he had,
- 12:54Speaker 2: Like if you really hungry for food, you might steal some.
- 12:59Speaker 2: You might not have been a theft before, but if
- 13:02Speaker 2: you really get hungry, you might go steal something.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Or if you need some more money.
- 13:08Speaker 2: If you get hungry for money, you might mess around,
- 13:12Speaker 2: turn yourself into something that makes more money.
- 13:16Speaker 1: If you get tired and losing, and you'll get hungry
- 13:19Speaker 1: for a win.
- 13:20Speaker 2: You might train longer so you can quench the thirst
- 13:24Speaker 2: and the hunger and become greatness.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Now that's usually what hunger do. But you can't be
- 13:29Speaker 1: hungry and scared. It's what I'm all right.
- 13:33Speaker 10: Coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour.
- 13:35Speaker 1: We will hear I can't drive you to fear a frame.

- 14:29Speaker 1: Me and my Jesus, Let's go catch dog.
- 14:33Speaker 11: Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach your sister. How you doing,
- 14:38Speaker 11: I'm giving you a call on behalf of Baptist Church.
- 14:42Speaker 11: You are a member there?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 14:44Speaker 7: Yes?
- 14:44Speaker 12: I am?
- 14:45Speaker 1: Okay, listen, I'm calling you.
- 14:48Speaker 11: They some of the members have gotten together and had
- 14:51Speaker 11: a meeting and wanted me to give you a call.
- 14:55Speaker 1: It seems that.
- 14:58Speaker 11: A lot of them are complaining about Sunday services that
- 15:01Speaker 11: go on and wanted for me to give you a
- 15:04Speaker 11: call on their behalf so that we can see if
- 15:07Speaker 11: we can address the problem and talk to you diligently
- 15:10Speaker 11: as possible and try to get the problem rectified.
- 15:12Speaker 7: What's going on.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Well, it seems like that a lot of members are complaining.
- 15:20Speaker 7: I'm sorry, and what is your name again?
- 15:22Speaker 1: My name is ma'am. I'm not actually a member of
- 15:26Speaker 1: the church.
- 15:26Speaker 11: I've just been the one that have been asked to
- 15:28Speaker 11: give you a call and try to talk on the members'
- 15:30Speaker 11: behalf so maybe we can get this problem rectify that
- 15:33Speaker 11: you that they have as far as you are concerned, now, okay.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 15:38Speaker 7: Well, I'm just trying to see what this is in
- 15:39Speaker 7: regards to go ahead.
- 15:40Speaker 11: Well, it seems like the members of the church are
- 15:43Speaker 11: complaining about that you're doing too much shouting at church
- 15:48Speaker 11: on Sunday, and it seems to be going on every Sunday,
- 15:51Speaker 11: you running up and down the aisle and you shouting
- 15:53Speaker 11: all over the place.
- 15:54Speaker 1: And it's me.
- 15:56Speaker 7: I've been singled out about my shouting. Is that what
- 15:59Speaker 7: you're saying?
- 16:00Speaker 1: Whatever, Then it's distracting, ma'am.
- 16:02Speaker 11: You're distracting everyone from getting the word and listening to
- 16:04Speaker 11: the word and being involved in the service.
- 16:07Speaker 1: And that's the purpose of the call is to see
- 16:09Speaker 1: if we can get you to tone it down some.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Okay, So the whole church is complaining about me shouting
- 16:14Speaker 7: the way people run up and down the house every
- 16:17Speaker 7: Sunday and almost turning cart wheels and flips, and they
- 16:20Speaker 7: singling me, I complained about me.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Well, ma'am, I.
- 16:23Speaker 11: Don't know how it is that you can see everybody
- 16:26Speaker 11: else doing cart wheels when you're the ones that they
- 16:28Speaker 11: say is the one that's doing them.
- 16:30Speaker 7: How am I being singled out?
- 16:32Speaker 1: Man?
- 16:32Speaker 11: All I'm saying is that they saying that you're doing
- 16:34Speaker 11: too much shouting and too much running at this church.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Now I'm just the message.
- 16:38Speaker 7: Okay. Well, they can't tell me how to shout, They
- 16:41Speaker 7: can't tell me what's.
- 16:42Speaker 13: Going on in my life?
- 16:43Speaker 7: What's gonna keep me from praising God? And they, I mean,
- 16:46Speaker 7: they could just they could go somewhere else with that,
- 16:48Speaker 7: But they're not gonna tell me that I can't praise
- 16:50Speaker 7: my God. They don't know how good God has been
- 16:53Speaker 7: to me.
- 16:53Speaker 11: And you know what, I understand that I agree with
- 16:56Speaker 11: you wholeheartedly, but it's becoming a distraction. I mean, well,
- 16:59Speaker 11: they they was at the point last night talking about
- 17:01Speaker 11: should we put some seat belts on the pews so
- 17:04Speaker 11: so you can stay down?
- 17:05Speaker 7: We state will put some seat But I only gonna
- 17:07Speaker 7: tell people they can't shout in church and praise God.
- 17:10Speaker 7: What can we come to church?
- 17:11Speaker 1: Farm? Will you do?
- 17:12Speaker 7: Come to We need to be trying to praase God
- 17:14Speaker 7: and get their own shout on and stop looking at
- 17:16Speaker 7: me and worried about what I'm doing.
- 17:17Speaker 1: We gonna need you to quit running up and down
- 17:20Speaker 1: these aisles and.
- 17:20Speaker 7: Doing what you now. I'm sorry, you know, I'm trying
- 17:23Speaker 7: to stay calm. I'm trying my best. Who Jesus, she said,
- 17:28Speaker 7: that's not happenying. You can't tell me I gotta stop shouting.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Okay, man, but let me ask you, are you running now?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Aren't you just standing still talking?
- 17:35Speaker 7: But I don't have to run right now?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Okay, what I'm trying to get you.
- 17:38Speaker 7: To, I'm like, I don't want to run up and
- 17:40Speaker 7: down this street right now. I can run up and
- 17:41Speaker 7: down the street and praise God, but they're not gonna
- 17:43Speaker 7: tell me to stop shouting at church.
- 17:45Speaker 11: Can we get you to be a little bit more
- 17:47Speaker 11: reserved as what we see? Man, let me let me
- 17:49Speaker 11: go ahead and go further on.
- 17:50Speaker 7: What they don't how the spirit moves.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Okay, well, let me move and tell you what they've
- 17:56Speaker 1: told me. Now.
- 17:58Speaker 11: If we can't get to the point when you can,
- 18:00Speaker 11: you know, tone it down, then we may have to
- 18:02Speaker 11: ask you to leave.
- 18:04Speaker 7: I want to ask me, ool Jesus, Oh Jesus, wool Jesus,
- 18:09Speaker 7: you ask me, why would they want me to leave
- 18:12Speaker 7: a church. I've been at that church for fifteen years.
- 18:15Speaker 7: I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run up and die.
- 18:18Speaker 7: I'm not gonna run on the church. I may even
- 18:20Speaker 7: turn me some slip where am I I.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Feel like it not?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Now?
- 18:24Speaker 7: Listen, that's all I'm okay, go ahead, but.

- 40:53Speaker 10: Hey, this is Mary J.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Blood.
- 40:54Speaker 7: Yo.
- 40:55Speaker 1: This is Stephen A. Smith. Hey, this is k You
- 40:57Speaker 1: have no idea what it is. This is called Miller
- 41:00Speaker 1: and this may or may not be the Steve Harvey
- 41:02Speaker 1: Morning Show.
- 41:03Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:08Speaker 14: It is time now to check Steve's voicemail and if
- 41:11Speaker 14: you want to leave a message for Steve, call him
- 41:13Speaker 14: eight seven seven twenty nine.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Steve.
- 41:15Speaker 10: All right, Steve, this first caller has a spiritual question
- 41:18Speaker 10: for you.
- 41:19Speaker 13: Good evening, Steve. Thank you so much for sharing your
- 41:22Speaker 13: inspirational relationship with God with the world. My question is simple,
- 41:27Speaker 13: how does one stop longing for something that God has
- 41:30Speaker 13: obviously said no to that particular quest? Thank you by I.
- 41:37Speaker 1: That's a question that's everybody's dilemma.
- 41:44Speaker 10: We want what we want.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's everybody's delima.
- 41:47Speaker 2: And then also sometimes what you want, Jess is in
- 41:52Speaker 2: the form of temptation. You know, it's not always longing
- 41:58Speaker 2: for something you ask God for held. You know, sometimes
- 42:02Speaker 2: God makes moves he know you wouldn't make because he
- 42:05Speaker 2: heard conversations you didn't hear, and he made decisions that
- 42:09Speaker 2: you just not gonna make for the betterment of yourself. Example,
- 42:14Speaker 2: I want this relationship to work with this person. God
- 42:19Speaker 2: know that ain't the one you need, So sometimes he
- 42:21Speaker 2: don't aid you in doing that. Now you can run
- 42:23Speaker 2: off and do it yourself, but you're gonna get beat up.
- 42:26Speaker 2: He not coming back. You quit asking God for him
- 42:30Speaker 2: to come back. He not coming back. That ain't got
- 42:32Speaker 2: nothing to do with God. The dude you want and
- 42:35Speaker 2: made a decision that he don't want you. Now, once
- 42:39Speaker 2: you keep asking God for him fault instead, you should
- 42:43Speaker 2: ask God for somebody that want you. So sometimes and
- 42:46Speaker 2: I had to learn this myself. The thing that I'm
- 42:50Speaker 2: asking God for that I keep getting a know to
- 42:54Speaker 2: is for a reason. Yeah, and it's usually been because
- 42:58Speaker 2: God has something better for me all the time. But
- 43:01Speaker 2: you got to open up yourself to the better and
- 43:03Speaker 2: stop thinking you got the answer. You can't ask God
- 43:06Speaker 2: to bless you and did tell him how to do it,
- 43:08Speaker 2: how to do it?
- 43:09Speaker 1: That's just that a man brother.
- 43:11Speaker 10: Uh huh, all right, you better preach up in here.
- 43:13Speaker 14: You met a minister, all right, this caller, all right.
- 43:19Speaker 14: Last week we had a colo question, Steve.
- 43:22Speaker 10: It was about the Uh.
- 43:23Speaker 14: It was from the married woman who had emailed us.
- 43:26Speaker 14: She asked us if she was wrong because she purchased
- 43:29Speaker 14: Raider season football tickets but changed them from her husband's
- 43:32Speaker 14: name to her name after he told her he preferred
- 43:35Speaker 14: attending the games with his boys instead of going with her.
- 43:39Speaker 10: So this caller has a comment about that.
- 43:42Speaker 7: Say, Steve, come.
- 43:43Speaker 15: Using your radio show this morning, and I agree with you.
- 43:46Speaker 10: My husband is one of the three brothers.
- 43:49Speaker 4: The brothers needs to be.
- 43:50Speaker 7: To Gefo sometimes just the men.
- 43:53Speaker 10: I'm okay with him hanging with his brothers.
- 43:55Speaker 7: You don't need me around all the time.
- 43:57Speaker 10: We didn't get it once in four seven, seven days
- 43:59Speaker 10: a week.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Let that man have some men time.
- 44:02Speaker 15: If you don't, you gonna drive him crazy and you're.
- 44:05Speaker 20: Gonna want to know why he ain't home or he's
- 44:07Speaker 20: coming home, and go straight to.
- 44:08Speaker 7: Leave these women need to let her loose. If you
- 44:11Speaker 7: want to hang with your girls, you hang with your tirls.
- 44:13Speaker 7: He don't ask to come.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I love it when my husband hang with his brothers.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Let them men have that many time.
- 44:20Speaker 10: Y'all have a good day.
- 44:23Speaker 15: I love that.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Didn't that because list everybody needs me time. Yeah, say
- 44:31Speaker 2: when I tell my wife I'm going on the golf trip,
- 44:34Speaker 2: she want to be talking.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Them cannot go? No, she know I don't want her
- 44:38Speaker 1: to go right now.
- 44:40Speaker 2: I want to go play golf, talk trash, get through,
- 44:43Speaker 2: go eat without showering.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Then I want to take a shower.
- 44:48Speaker 2: All these speeches you got, you've been playing golf. I'm
- 44:52Speaker 2: hungry now, I'm hungry now, I'm hungry now and now
- 44:58Speaker 2: here she come?
- 44:59Speaker 1: She'd have walked in the rule. I do want to
- 45:01Speaker 1: go where you ain't?
- 45:04Speaker 2: You ain't get out of this studio, Mandrie. You're not

- 45:17Speaker 2: you don't want to go, You're not going.
- 45:22Speaker 15: I want to talk.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I don't want to shower when you asked me to shout.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I want to eat now, Why don't you take a
- 45:31Speaker 2: shower first, you'll enjoy your food better who need a
- 45:34Speaker 2: shower to enjoy.
- 45:35Speaker 4: The man.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Man? Can we go to break?
- 45:42Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 45:43Speaker 1: About that time?

- 52:21Speaker 20: that I don't do nothing but short hair. I don't
- 52:23Speaker 20: do no five for god else to do your damn
- 52:26Speaker 20: your aunt hair, you lay your antun go.

- 52:36Speaker 20: and then yell, I can't be no fail. She gotta
- 52:39Speaker 20: be quitting to sell to be with you stupid.
- 52:42Speaker 7: Son't call me because I don't. I don't put check.
- 52:47Speaker 7: You call my damn cell phone. I don't know who.
- 52:50Speaker 20: Don't get any my damn number because this is a
- 52:53Speaker 20: damn private number. I haven't either given no damn buck.

- 56:22Speaker 1: Here it Strawberry Letter.
- 56:24Speaker 10: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:25Speaker 14: Subject my mom and my baby Daddy. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:29Speaker 14: I have known my baby daddy since high school. When
- 56:31Speaker 14: I was twenty, I got pregnant and we moved in together.
- 56:35Speaker 14: But he cheated a lot, so when my son was six,
- 56:38Speaker 14: we broke up and my mom offered to let him
- 56:41Speaker 14: live with her temporarily. My son is sixteen now and
- 56:45Speaker 14: my baby daddy still lives with my mom. My mom
- 56:49Speaker 14: has seven sisters that are very messy and there they've
- 56:52Speaker 14: always joked with my mom about having a fine young
- 56:55Speaker 14: man living with her. One of my aunts has said
- 56:58Speaker 14: for years that she's one hundred percent sure that my
- 57:01Speaker 14: mom and baby daddy are messing around. She swears that
- 57:05Speaker 14: my mom got drunk at a house party and went
- 57:07Speaker 14: into the bathroom with my baby daddy for close to
- 57:09Speaker 14: twenty minutes and came out bragging about how.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Good he was.
- 57:12Speaker 14: Over the years, I heard stuff like, How'sjamma and baby Daddy.
- 57:16Speaker 14: One of my older aunts finally told me the truth,
- 57:19Speaker 14: but I didn't want to believe it. She said that
- 57:21Speaker 14: my mom told her she really likes my baby daddy
- 57:25Speaker 14: and it's way more than a sugar mama thing. She said,
- 57:28Speaker 14: my mom feels terrible about it, and she's not going
- 57:31Speaker 14: to stop having sex with him or put him out
- 57:35Speaker 14: the short. A short while after that, my baby daddy
- 57:37Speaker 14: came over to see our son, and he had been drinking.
- 57:41Speaker 14: They were playing video games and my baby daddy's phone rang.
- 57:44Speaker 14: My son heard him say I love you too, baby,
- 57:47Speaker 14: and I'll be home after I beat your grandson in
- 57:50Speaker 14: one more game. My son tried to fight his daddy
- 57:54Speaker 14: and I had to get between them. My baby daddy
- 57:57Speaker 14: told my son he teach him about being a man
- 57:59Speaker 14: later and how stuff like this just happened. I tell
- 58:03Speaker 14: my son that's not what manhood is about, and how
- 58:06Speaker 14: do I fix this?
- 58:07Speaker 10: For my son.
- 58:08Speaker 14: I'm hurt too, but I'm more worried about him. This
- 58:13Speaker 14: is really sad. I mean, this is a horrible, horrible
- 58:16Speaker 14: situation here. I mean, your mom did the ultimate betrayal,
- 58:20Speaker 14: and I could see why you didn't want to hear
- 58:22Speaker 14: the truth because you probably already suspected it anyway, but
- 58:26Speaker 14: you didn't want to hear it because this is your mother.
- 58:29Speaker 14: It's unthinkable. I mean, you know you're beyond mad at
- 58:33Speaker 14: this point. I know you want to fight her. You
- 58:36Speaker 14: want to fight your mom, and you probably would if
- 58:38Speaker 14: it wasn't your mom. I mean, this is not what
- 58:41Speaker 14: a mom does to her daughter. This mom don't do this,
- 58:47Speaker 14: and to her grandson for that matter. I mean, both
- 58:50Speaker 14: of them are to blame, of course, the baby daddy,
- 58:53Speaker 14: oh my god.
- 58:55Speaker 10: But it's just it's hard to get over this kind
- 58:58Speaker 10: of hurt. It's hard.
- 59:00Speaker 14: It doesn't matter if you and the baby daddy were
- 59:02Speaker 14: no longer together, that doesn't even matter at this point.
- 59:04Speaker 10: It's just wrong.
- 59:06Speaker 14: Okay, you told your son right when you said that,
- 59:09Speaker 14: this is not what manhood is about. His father is
- 59:13Speaker 14: a very poor example of manhood. How can he date
- 59:16Speaker 14: his son's grandmother and his mother I mean stuff like that.
- 59:22Speaker 10: It just doesn't happen. So he told him wrong.
- 59:26Speaker 14: So his you know, he's teaching a son that men
- 59:31Speaker 14: have no control over themselves or they just you know,
- 59:35Speaker 14: if it's okay, if they date their mom and their grandmother,
- 59:38Speaker 14: that's okay. No, that's not okay. It's just really wrong.
- 59:43Speaker 7: You know.
- 59:44Speaker 14: My suggestion is to, I don't know, get your son
- 59:49Speaker 14: to a mentor, a real good mentor a good example
- 59:53Speaker 14: of what a man should be in his life, so
- 59:55Speaker 14: he could show him what it really is all about.
- 59:58Speaker 14: It's not what his father is talking about, not this mess,
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: but I mean that. That is my suggestion to you
- 1:00:04Speaker 14: talk more to your son, you know, about this situation,
- 1:00:08Speaker 14: because I'm sure he's upset, and why would his dad
- 1:00:11Speaker 14: say that in front of him anyway, to his grandmother?
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: You know this this is just a mess.
- 1:00:16Speaker 14: But I would look into a mentor some man that
- 1:00:20Speaker 14: will be a shining example to what a man should
- 1:00:23Speaker 14: be for your son.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Steve, Okay, sure, I agree. I agree. I have so
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: many problems in this latter.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: At first I was going to joke about it, but
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: then it turned really seriously because there's a little boy involved, y'all.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Adults.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: I don't care what y'all do, but I do care
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: about what adults do in front of children, and especially men,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: because men, you just have to do a better job
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: of setting examples for our sons, you know.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I mean, it's for the little things.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: It's okay to tell your son not to cry, but
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: you also have to inform him that it's okay to cry,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: That has to be a balance, right you know, Listen, you.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Got pregnant when you was twenty with your high school sweetheart,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: and y'all moved in together. But he cheated a lot.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: The letter just takes a turn right away. So when
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: my son was six, we broke up and my mom offered,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: and my mom offered to let him live with her temporarily.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Wait a minute, HOLDO, I'm confused. You and your boyfriend
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: break up and you have a baby, your mom offers
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: to let him come live with her. Why an't you
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: and the boy go live with your mama. That's normally
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: how it go in the normal scope of things. The
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: daughter goes with her mom with her son so she'll
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: have some help, and you know, and let this dude
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: fin for hisself. That's all that was so, I was
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: confused about that. Well, my son is now sixteen and
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: my baby daddy still live with his mom. My mom
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: has seven sisters and they're very messing. They've always joked
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: with my mom about having a fine young man living
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: with her. Excuse me, he left when he was sick.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Your son said he been at your mama house ten years?
- 1:02:16Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Ten years? Who need ten years to get on their feet?
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Who anybody can pull it together in ten years? I'm confused.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I have more when we come back.
- 1:02:34Speaker 10: But this is truly Yeah, it really is bad. It's bad,
- 1:02:43Speaker 10: all right, Steve.
- 1:02:44Speaker 14: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:02:46Speaker 14: twenty three minutes after the hour. My mom and my
- 1:02:49Speaker 14: baby Daddy. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:52Speaker 14: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:02:58Speaker 11: This message is brought to you by Let's Talk Hell.
- 1:03:01Speaker 11: You may not know about numa cocco disease, but if
- 1:03:04Speaker 11: you're fifty years older or nineteen or older with certain
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: medical conditions like diabetes, you'll at risk and it can
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: turn your plans big or small, into a hospital visit.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: So get vaccinated.
- 1:03:14Speaker 11: It's one action you can take to help protect against
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: Newmacaco pneumonia and invasive newmocacco disease.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Keepings on everything you looking forward to, even.
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: If it's just the podcast schedule a shot at vaxsassists
- 1:03:26Speaker 11: dot com.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: That's vasassists dot com.
- 1:03:29Speaker 14: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter,
- 1:03:32Speaker 14: subjects my mom and my baby Daddy.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: Well, this young lady twenty years old, got pregnant by
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: her high school sweetheart to move in together.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: He cheated a lot, so when their son.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Was six, they broke up and her mother offered to
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: let him live with her temporarily.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Like I said earlier, that's backward.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Usually the girl and the baby go stay with one
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: of their pairs so they can have some help and
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: assistance and let the guy go fit in for himself.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: That was backwards already. Well, my son is sixteen now.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: My baby daddy still live with his mama, with your mama.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: That's ten years. He been at your mama's house for
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: ten years now.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: If she was honestly trying to help him out in
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: the beginning, she been helping him for ten years?
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Has she been helping her daughter and her grandchild or
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: she just helping him? This sucks man. Now, my mom
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: has seven sisters that are very messy, and.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: They've always joked with my mom about having a fine
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: young man living with her.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Well, let me throw this in.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: If your mom got seven sisters that are messy, ain't
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: ain't your mama one of the sisters. Ain't she from
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: a messy family?
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Oh, starting to sound like the story to me.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: If all seven of your sisters is messy, how does
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: she skip the messiness?
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: She didn't? What are your aunts has saying for years?
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: And she's one hundred present sure that my mom and
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: baby daddy I'm messing around.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Well he's been there ten years. Who living at this
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: house for ten years?
- 1:05:06Speaker 14: And what.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Now? She swears that my mom got drunk at the
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: house party right there.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: See, we're in the family that's still throwing house party.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: You see where this is going. There's no progression in
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: this story at all. Your mama got drunk out of
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: house party. How old are you to stop going to
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: house parties and get drunk? Let's see this story, ain't
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: got no upside And came and went to the then
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: went into the bathroom with your baby daddy for close
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: to twenty minutes, came out bragging about how good he was.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: You saw Boomerain, You saw the movie when the late
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: great Witherspoon came out of their bathroom with that jacket.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Is you saw him?
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: You embarrass me At every I heard stuff.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Like how your mama and baby daddy. One of my
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: older aunts finally told me the truth, but I didn't
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: want to believe her. What is it You didn't want
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: to believe One of the older aunts finally told her,
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: and you didn't even want to believe her.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Why he been over that ten years? She said?
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Your mom told her she really likes my baby daddy
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: and it's more than a sugar mama thing.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Okay, so she taking care of this boy, she said.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: My mom feels terrible about it, but she's not gonna
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: stop having sex with him or put him out.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Sure. A while after that, my baby daddy came over
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: to see our son. He been drinking.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Okay, see there's no progression in this store. Your baby
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: daddy's still drinking. Your baby daddy still live at home
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: with yo mama.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: You're a boy.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: He been over that ten years? He thirty four. You
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: got pregnant at twenty. Your husband was six when he
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: left he been over that ten years. Your husband thirty
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: six years old.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: He said he was six. Ye, No, the boy was sick.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: The baby was six when he wouldn't live with your mama.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: He's been over that ten years. He was pregnant at twenty.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Your man is boy, your baby's daddy, boy is thirty
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: six and live with your mama, that she taken care of.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: And she want to have sex with a machine, putting
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: him out. Then your baby daddy came over to see
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: our son. He was drinking at thirty six, still drinking,
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: still living home with your mama.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: They playing vidego games. My baby daddy phone ring.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Your son, who is older now heard him say I
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: love you too, baby, and I'll be home after I
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: beat your grandson in one more girl. Then your son
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: tried to fight his daddy. Why because your son know
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: that's wrong. However old your son is, he already know
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: his daddy wrong for that.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: I had to get bera.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: My baby daddy told my son he teach him about
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: being a man. Later on, when is he gonna teach him?
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: He don't know.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: This is a trifling mom. So this a trifling mama.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: This is a trifling baby Daddy and so Shirley here
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: is correct. You gotta get a male mentor in front
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: of this young man. And it's a damn shame that
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: he gonna teach him about being a man lady.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: And how stuff like this just happens. It don't just happen.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: See anything that's been happening for ten years don't just
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: keep happening.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: At one point we on purpose.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: You can write to having sex off with your mama,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: your step mama one time, but unless you've been drunk
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: continuously for ten years, you ain't had a sober moment
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: in ten years to rethink this. I told my son
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: that's not what manhood is about. You are correct? How

- 1:10:48Speaker 1: drop stuff off.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: I'll tell you one of the deepest things I did
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: was I was a senior in high school. Man, I
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: wanted this girl man so bad. I wrote the lyrics
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: to Devotion by Earth, Wind and Fire on a poster board,
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: tuck my T shirt in my pants, put it in
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: the back of my T shirt like a like a
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: bow and arrow case, and got on my bike and
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: rode over to her house and rode them down the
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: street till she came out on the porch. And just
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: because I had no way of calling her, you know,
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: so rode them down the street till she came out.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: I got off my bike and handed a tour She
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: unrolled it on the thing and read the whole all
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: the whole lyrics to devotion.
- 1:11:29Speaker 10: Oh does she cry?
- 1:11:30Speaker 8: Or was she?
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Yeah? She cried yeah when her father came out on
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: the porch and put my ass off the porch.
- 1:11:36Speaker 8: Get your ass off the throat, fastic evils, what about you?
- 1:11:50Speaker 11: Definitely high school? Sweetheart, wrote it. Walked to the high school.
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: Sweet that's my grandmama, say my nose was wide over.
- 1:12:05Speaker 9: No, I'm three generations from three months. That's two stuff
- 1:12:09Speaker 9: we over here.
- 1:12:10Speaker 20: Test.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: I made cassette tape.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: That's what I had.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: I had that.
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: I listened to Quiet Stole Press playing Paul for You
- 1:12:20Speaker 9: record song did You Fall the Dog?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: That's what I had to do. But love letters.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: We had technoledgey by this time, a little bit of it.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: We was paying paper boy.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: Yeah, y'all were paying payp for it.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: Man, damn the pony expressed with my bike here, yeah,
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: delivered my damn self. I wrote a girl a letter
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: one time, man, and I you know, I just wanted
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: her to like when I drove it over the house
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: and put it in the mailbox and I'm riding up
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: the street and then I come back down the hill
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: just to see and uh she would had reached out
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: there and pull the uh.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Let out the mailbox, didn't even open it and just
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: tow it in hand. What man, that broke my heart? Man,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: was heartbreaking.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, hair, Yeah, I had to write it on there,
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: you know, okay, oh okay, you know, got put it
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: in a mailbox. Got and make sure her mama, daddy
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: don't get it, have a name on and everything. She
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: As soon as I came back down the hill, I said, Man,
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: she reaching in the mailbox to get it, pull it
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: out the mailbox and tow it in half.
- 1:13:33Speaker 14: Sharing didn't Who knew you guys were so romantic? You're
- 1:13:38Speaker 14: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, while a
- 1:13:43Speaker 14: lot of people are out there looking for the one,
- 1:13:46Speaker 14: there are apparently plenty of people who don't think monogamy
- 1:13:49Speaker 14: is for them, even if they're married. And while some
- 1:13:53Speaker 14: people would never be satisfied with an open relationship that
- 1:13:56Speaker 14: allows them and their partner to sleep with other people,
- 1:14:00Speaker 14: a brand new poll finds that there are a lot
- 1:14:02Speaker 14: of people who are curious about them. A new UGV
- 1:14:06Speaker 14: poll of more than twenty three thousand Americans find that
- 1:14:10Speaker 14: twenty six percent of Americans are interested in having an
- 1:14:14Speaker 14: open relationship, while sixty eight percent are absolutely not interested.
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: So here's the question for you, guys.
- 1:14:23Speaker 14: Have you ever been in an open relationship that didn't
- 1:14:26Speaker 14: work out?
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: Or do you want to be in an open relationship?
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Have you found no? Hell?
- 1:14:33Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean I know you guys are married.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: We know and heal man, Hell no not being in
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: no damn open My wife gonna be out your mind
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: may get.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: Out of here. My wife just gonna lead it out.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I'm going over dow nails. I'd be back. What you're
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: going with.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Open relationships?
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: What you're going to do? Nail?
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: I have trouble making it work with the one.
- 1:14:58Speaker 10: You're right, You get married, that's all.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: I've been in an open relationship before, but ain't nobody
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: know it? You knew it, you knew I used to
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: be wide.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: I was the only one had that information.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: And when the other party found out, you denied it,
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: didn't you?
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: What?
- 1:15:23Speaker 10: What you your life?
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: When do.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: Wo?
- 1:15:32Speaker 12: Wow?
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Open relationship?
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: When?
- 1:15:37Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Wow?
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: What fault you?
- 1:15:46Speaker 10: Why get married if you want to be in an
- 1:15:47Speaker 10: open relationship? That's always my question?
- 1:15:50Speaker 7: What is what?
- 1:15:51Speaker 10: Why get married if you want to be in an
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: open relationship?
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: I didn't even know you were just talking about married,
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: But I'm just talking. You're talking about relationship. But if
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: you married, I don't even understand that at all.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Why would you get married? Why are you up there
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: saying vows yeah, yeah, that's beyond me.
- 1:16:09Speaker 20: Huh.
- 1:16:10Speaker 10: I said married couples are in open relationships, so they are?
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: I mean, why even get married if you want to
- 1:16:16Speaker 10: be in an open relationship.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: I don't know anybody that has an open relationship that's
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: going to last, and there are several people talking about it.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: But if that's what you have, then if that's the
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: type of marriage and this can work for you, didn't
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: go ahead and do you?
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I don't care, do you boo? I don't care.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: But you know, but you know, like we were talking
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: about my old interview that was trending the other day,
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: and you know, like you know, once again, it's my opinion,
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: and you're free to have whatever your opinion you want.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: But this open relationship, I go back to that example,
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: thought about it over and over. If you're in a
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: committed relationship and you have a female friend and you're
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: a man, and you're in bed at two o'clock in
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: the morning and your friend quote unquote, this girl who
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: you say is your friend calls you a two in
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: the morning and says she has a flat tie out
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: on the road, And you get up out your bed
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: and tell your committed partner that you're in a relationship with.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: You're getting about your bed to put some clothes on
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: to go change the tire of a woman that's just
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: your friend who laying next to you is going for that.
- 1:17:35Speaker 10: Charlene, Uh, Carler, no, no not, I mean we'll both go.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: She needs you leave me?
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no no no. When you say
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: we both going, oh that's really not gonna happen. Well,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I understand what Shirley is saying. I'll go with you.
- 1:17:55Speaker 10: You're not just gonna leave me right here and go.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: She got fixed.
- 1:18:00Speaker 10: Triple A.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: I'm about to say triple A emergency ros.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Gonna be because a woman know why she got to
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: call you?
- 1:18:10Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Uh huh, I wire you to go.
- 1:18:13Speaker 10: To guys because you're my friend.
- 1:18:18Speaker 14: Well, yeah, we'll get more of today's trending stories on
- 1:18:21Speaker 14: the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after.
- 1:18:24Speaker 10: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
