- 0:00I am thinking today of a verse in the book of Joshua. It's been a while since I've been in Joshua.
- 0:07And I preached through the whole thing a couple years ago, and I remember this verse very passionately from that time.
- 0:14Joshua 18.3 says,
- 0:16So Joshua said to the sons of Israel, How long will you put off entering to take possession of the land which the Lord, the God your fathers, has given you?
- 0:27Now this question for them of course was a literal one, but it speaks volumes figuratively as well.
- 0:34It's time to be moving in the direction that God has laid out for us.
- 0:38We must do what God has ordained and take our rightful place as sowers and harvesters, as representatives of the Lord in whatever way.
- 0:46In my case, in our case, the Lord has blessed so much, how dare I, how could I possibly not want to do everything I can to live for Jesus?
- 0:56We must be found faithful. Living for Jesus often requires simple, faithful obedience.
- 1:02The world does everything it can to throw up temptations and tribulations and distractions to keep you from moving forward in the Lord.
- 1:08And there is a teaching that stands against what the Bible says.
- 1:12We are a people of the book. We are a people who follow Jesus. We are a people who have a living Lord who is with us daily.
- 1:20And how long will we put off entering in to take possession of the land which the Lord has given us?
- 1:25God bless you today.
