- 0:00Hi everyone, this is Dana from Mentor365. So today's topic is on protecting your peace.
- 0:07And we are going to talk about something that you will come to value more and more as you grow.
- 0:13And that is your peace. It's not temporarily happiness.
- 0:17It's not a distraction, but real grounded, consistent peace.
- 0:22Peace is something many people search for, but not everyone knows how to keep it.
- 0:28For a long time, you may have thought peace was something that will come from
- 0:32external situation, from the right relationship, the right job,
- 0:38the right environment, the right timing.
- 0:41And while those things can contribute to your well-being, real peace does not
- 0:46come from everything around you being perfect.
- 0:50It comes from how you manage what is within your control.
- 0:56Peace is something you build and once you build it, you have to protect it.
- 1:01As you continue healing forward, you begin to notice how certain things affect your energy.
- 1:07You become more aware of what drains you, what stresses you,
- 1:11what triggers you and what brings you calm.
- 1:14You start to recognize patterns. You start to recognize people,
- 1:19environment and habits that either support your
- 1:22peace or disrupt it and the
- 1:25awareness changes everything because once
- 1:28you are aware you can no longer pretend you don't see it protecting your peace
- 1:34means making decisions that aligned with your well-being even when those decisions
- 1:40decisions are not easy it means choosing what is right for you even when it's uncomfortable.
- 1:48It means understanding that not everything deserves your time,
- 1:52your attention, or your energy.
- 1:54Sometimes protecting your peace looks like setting boundaries.
- 1:58It looks like saying no without over-explaining. It looks like limiting access to your life.
- 2:05It looks like creating a space when something feels overwhelming.
- 2:09It looks like deciding that your mental and your emotional well-being is not
- 2:14something you are willing to compromise.
- 2:16And yes, that can feel very difficult.
- 2:19But because many of us were taught to prioritize
- 2:23others to be available to be
- 2:25accommodating to avoid conflict to keep the
- 2:29peace even if it's meant losing your own but there is a difference between keeping
- 2:34the peace and having peace keeping the peace often means avoiding discomfort
- 2:39it means suppressing your needs it means staying silent to prevent conflict
- 2:45but having peace means being honest.
- 2:49It means being clear. It means being aligned with yourself, even if it's create
- 2:54temporarily discomfort.
- 2:56Real peace requires honesty. Another part of protecting your peace is learning
- 3:02to let go of what you cannot control.
- 3:05You cannot control how other people think. You cannot control how they feel.
- 3:11You cannot control how people feel, okay?
- 3:14You cannot control their actions, their reactions, or their decisions.
- 3:19And trying to control those things would only drain your energy.
- 3:23What you can control is yourself, your responses, your boundaries,
- 3:29your mindset, and your choices.
- 3:31When you shift your focus to what you can control, you begin to feel more grounded.
- 3:37You begin to feel more stable.
- 3:39You begin to feel less overwhelmed by things that are outside of your influence,
- 3:45people, and that creates peace.
- 3:49Protecting your peace also means being mindful of what you consume,
- 3:54what you watch, what you listen, what you read, the conversation you engage
- 4:01in, the environment that you place yourself in.
- 4:04All of these things affect your energy, people.
- 4:07If you constantly surround yourself with negativity, stress,
- 4:11or chaos, it becomes difficult to feel calm.
- 4:14Amen. When you intentionally create space for positivity, reflection,
- 4:20and balance, your internal state begins to shift.
- 4:25Peace is supported by what you allow into your life.
- 4:30And finally, protecting your peace means giving yourself permission to rest.
- 4:35You don't have to be productive all the time. You don't have to be available
- 4:39all the time. You don't have to be strong all the time.
- 4:43Rest is not weakness. It's restoration.
- 4:46It's how you recharge. It's how you maintain balance.
- 4:49It's how you take care of yourself in a way that allows you to continue showing up fully in your life.
- 4:56As you continue your journey, I want you to understand this clearly.
- 5:01Your peace is valuable. It's not something you give away easily.
- 5:05It's not something you sacrifice for temporary situation.
- 5:08It's not something you ignore. It's something you protect.
- 5:13Because when you have peace, you think clearly, you feel grounded,
- 5:17you make better decisions, you move with an intention, you show up for present.
- 5:23Peace allows you to live differently. So choose it, protect it,
- 5:27prioritize it because the life you are building deserve to be supported by a
- 5:32mind and a heart that feel calm, steady, and aligned.
- 5:37And you deserve that. Thank you so much for tuning in. You take care and God bless.
