- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Center, Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson
- 0:04Speaker 1: with You and Center. There are two big stories and
- 0:07Speaker 1: they are just on total opposite ends of the spectrum
- 0:10Speaker 1: and how the media is covering it. One of them
- 0:12Speaker 1: deals with a anti capitalist climate activist who's become some
- 0:16Speaker 1: sort of hero to the left who has now been
- 0:19Speaker 1: charged with murdering the healthcare CEO. And the other story
- 0:23Speaker 1: deals with Daniel Penny, who was found not guilty in
- 0:29Speaker 1: New York City and yet there's still going after him
- 0:33Speaker 1: as an innocent man.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Well.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Tragically, these two stories both show just how twisted and
- 0:42Speaker 3: messed up the radical left has gotten. With the first story,
- 0:46Speaker 3: we saw this CEO murdered in cold blood, shot on
- 0:51Speaker 3: the street in New York. The alleged murderer is a
- 0:57Speaker 3: radical leftist, allegedly an anti kNs capitalist, a climate activist,
- 1:02Speaker 3: uh and and he is being celebrated by the left.
- 1:06Speaker 3: He's been celebrated, raided on TikTok on Twitter.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:11Speaker 3: It is disgusting. It is the reaction of the radical
- 1:14Speaker 3: left shows just how they they not only normalize, but
- 1:20Speaker 3: but are cheering uh the murder of anyone they choose
- 1:25Speaker 3: that they dislike. And then on the flip side, Daniel Penny.
- 1:29Speaker 3: You look at what Daniel Penny did. This is a
- 1:31Speaker 3: marine who defended his nation. And you had a mentally ill,
- 1:35Speaker 3: homeless guy who was threatening to murder people on the subway.
- 1:39Speaker 3: And and Daniel Penny was a good samaritan who intervened
- 1:42Speaker 3: and and may well have saved the lives of his
- 1:44Speaker 3: fellow passengers. And and what as Alvin Bragg do. He
- 1:47Speaker 3: immediately turns around him, tries to prosecute him, put him
- 1:49Speaker 3: in jail. These two together really illustrate just how messed
- 1:57Speaker 3: up UH today's radical lefe is and it's sad, and
- 2:02Speaker 3: it's frightening and it needs to change.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and we're going to break down a lot of
- 2:05Speaker 1: what they said because I think exposing a lot of
- 2:07Speaker 1: it is what it's really important so people understand what
- 2:10Speaker 1: is happening in this country right now. I also want
- 2:13Speaker 1: to tell you about our friends over at Patriot Mobile
- 2:15Speaker 1: who are fighting the good fight to protect our conservative values.
- 2:19Speaker 1: While you use a cell phone. It is incredible and
- 2:22Speaker 1: you may not realize that Big Mobile is giving massive
- 2:25Speaker 1: donations to democratic causes, candidates and organizations, radical organizations that
- 2:31Speaker 1: are fighting against our First and our Second Amendment rights,
- 2:34Speaker 1: and also organizations that pay for abortions on demand. Well,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you don't want your money going there, then you
- 2:41Speaker 1: need to join other Christians and conservatives just like me
- 2:44Speaker 1: and make the switch to Patriot Mobile. Switching in twenty
- 2:47Speaker 1: twenty four is easier down than it's ever been. You
- 2:51Speaker 1: get the same great coverage you used to because now
- 2:53Speaker 1: everyone uses the same networks in the same tower, so
- 2:56Speaker 1: it's not a problem when it comes to coverage. In fact,
- 2:58Speaker 1: they have a coverage and tea at Patriot Mobile. But
- 3:01Speaker 1: here's the part you're gonna love. When you pay your
- 3:03Speaker 1: bill every month, about five percent of that bill, at
- 3:06Speaker 1: no extra cost to you, goes back to support conservative
- 3:10Speaker 1: causes that stand up for our First and Second Amendment rights,
- 3:14Speaker 1: stand up for the rights of unborn children, and they
- 3:17Speaker 1: also stand with our medical or wounded warriors, those that
- 3:21Speaker 1: have been hurt serving our country, those that have served,
- 3:25Speaker 1: whether it's police or firemen, EMTs, or men and women
- 3:29Speaker 1: in uniform in or military. That is why I love
- 3:32Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. Now I want to give you a free

- 4:02Speaker 1: or nine seven to two Patriot for your free month
- 4:04Speaker 1: of service today. So let's start center with this first,
- 4:09Speaker 1: just I think shocking case of this anti capitalist climate
- 4:14Speaker 1: activist who murdered this healthcare ceo and they're actually praising
- 4:20Speaker 1: him on the left. Is the hot assassin is what
- 4:24Speaker 1: was trending earlier on social media, and people that want
- 4:28Speaker 1: to send in money for his defense fund, and people
- 4:31Speaker 1: attacking whoever the worker was at McDonald's for example, they
- 4:35Speaker 1: called the police about a cold blooded assassin.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Well you look at what happened, and number one, he
- 4:42Speaker 3: just walked up and shot shot the ceo, and in
- 4:46Speaker 3: cold blood. It was horrific, it was deliberate murder. Here's
- 4:51Speaker 3: here's the the opening paragraph of the New York Post
- 4:54Speaker 3: story when when this suspect was arrested quote the suspect
- 4:58Speaker 3: nabbed in the killing of United Healthcare Sea Brian Thompson
- 5:01Speaker 3: is an anti capitalist Ivy League grad who liked online
- 5:06Speaker 3: quotes from unibomber, ted Kaczynski and seethed in a three
- 5:10Speaker 3: page manifesto these parasites simply had it coming. Law enforcement
- 5:16Speaker 3: sources have told The Post, this guy is a hard leftist.
- 5:24Speaker 3: He was apparently unhappy at the healthcare health insurance industry.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And by the way, look that's not an unreasonable position
- 5:32Speaker 3: to be unhappy at insurance companies. That's something reasonable people
- 5:36Speaker 3: can believe. What reasonable people don't do is murder those
- 5:41Speaker 3: people they don't like and to do it. Yet, you know,
- 5:47Speaker 3: this suspect is from a wealthy family. He was the
- 5:54Speaker 3: valedictorian of his prep school in Baltimore. He went to
- 5:58Speaker 3: the University of Pennsylvania. And you look at the early reports,
- 6:04Speaker 3: and we're going to learn more about what was happening
- 6:07Speaker 3: in this person's life. But but you know what was
- 6:09Speaker 3: what was reported as high school friends. This is again
- 6:12Speaker 3: from the Post, said they were shocked to learn that
- 6:14Speaker 3: the one time prep school valedictorian and stellar University of
- 6:17Speaker 3: Penngraduate may have been struggling and even more stunned to
- 6:20Speaker 3: learn of his bust tied to the case. And one
- 6:24Speaker 3: of the classmates said he was always doing the right thing.
- 6:26Speaker 3: He always had a smile in his face. And he
- 6:30Speaker 3: was described as a normal frat guy. And and and
- 6:35Speaker 3: you have to wonder if this guy was radicalized in
- 6:39Speaker 3: in college. I mean, we have seen, you know, one
- 6:42Speaker 3: of the quotes. He was just a normal frat guy.
- 6:45Speaker 3: He played beer pong, some girls thought he was hot,
- 6:49Speaker 3: that dynamic look. At some point, you know, there's a
- 6:53Speaker 3: video online of him giving his commencement speech in high school,
- 6:57Speaker 3: and he comes across as a pretty normal kid in
- 6:59Speaker 3: high schoo and at some point between then an age
- 7:03Speaker 3: twenty six, he became radicalized.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And and and.
- 7:09Speaker 3: We don't know at this point if the guy's just nuts,
- 7:12Speaker 3: I mean, Ted Kaczinski certainly, by all appearances, was nuts.
- 7:15Speaker 3: And maybe that was some of it, or or if
- 7:19Speaker 3: he's a radical or both. But what we do know
- 7:23Speaker 3: is is the reaction of people on the left, multiple
- 7:29Speaker 3: people on the left, has been just disgusting. And and
- 7:34Speaker 3: and let me give you an example. I want you
- 7:36Speaker 3: to listen to former Washington Post and New York Times
- 7:39Speaker 3: reporter Taylor Lorenz describing this murder and and just listen
- 7:44Speaker 3: to her.
- 7:45Speaker 5: I do believe in the sanctity of life, and I
- 7:47Speaker 5: think that's why I felt, along with so many other
- 7:49Speaker 5: Americans joy Unfortunately, you know, because of seriously I mean
- 7:56Speaker 5: ex maybe not joy, but certainly not know certainly not empathy.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Because again we'll see the footage.
- 8:03Speaker 2: How come this make you joyful?
- 8:05Speaker 3: This guy's a husband, is a father, and he's being
- 8:09Speaker 3: dumbed down in the middle of Manhattan.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Why does that make you joys.
- 8:12Speaker 5: The Americans that be murdered, So are tens So are
- 8:14Speaker 5: the tens of thousands of Americans, innocent Americans who died
- 8:19Speaker 5: because greedy health insurance executives like this one push policies
- 8:25Speaker 5: of denying care to the most vulnerable people. The many
- 8:27Speaker 5: millions of Americans that have watched people that I care
- 8:30Speaker 5: about suffer and in some cases die because of lack
- 8:33Speaker 5: of HELSS.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Should they will be killed?
- 8:34Speaker 6: Then?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Should they will be killed these healthcare executives? Would that
- 8:37Speaker 2: make you even more joyful?
- 8:39Speaker 1: Uh?
- 8:39Speaker 5: No, that would not.
- 8:42Speaker 7: I don't know how. By the way, in journalism.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You can keep your job if you go on national
- 8:46Speaker 1: TV and you say something like this. But apparently if
- 8:49Speaker 1: you're on the left you can say this. You can
- 8:52Speaker 1: say you found joy in watching a man with children
- 8:56Speaker 1: and a wife who has a job walking down the
- 8:59Speaker 1: street in New York City be executed. And she's seeing the
- 9:02Speaker 1: footage like, well, I mean, and it's joy. Okay, maybe
- 9:04Speaker 1: it's that total joy. I believe her when she said
- 9:06Speaker 1: it was joy. I think that there's many out there,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and we're seeing it on social media center that are
- 9:12Speaker 1: cheerful and joyful that this is happening. Because it's like
- 9:15Speaker 1: they've decided that, hey, there can be an enemy's list now,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and we can murder or advocate for offering any person
- 9:23Speaker 1: in any position of power that we don't like, and
- 9:26Speaker 1: we're going to normalize it in America, and that is dangerous.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Well, let me say, Taylor Lorenz's comments there are sick
- 9:34Speaker 3: and twisted, and she should be treated as a deranged
- 9:40Speaker 3: lunatic because she is she is openly celebrating she feels
- 9:44Speaker 3: joy at someone, someone she's never met, being murdered. Why
- 9:48Speaker 3: because she hates all health insurance companies. She hates you know, what.
- 9:54Speaker 3: She's another anti capitalist nut job, but not just nutjob
- 10:00Speaker 3: who who feels joy at the murder of her political enemies. Listen,
- 10:04Speaker 3: Taylor Lorenz. My understanding is she was raised in enormous wealth,
- 10:08Speaker 3: an enormous privilege, and there's nothing worse than rich liberals
- 10:13Speaker 3: who are eager. We saw the same reaction when when
- 10:15Speaker 3: when Donald Trump was almost assassinated, when he was shot,
- 10:19Speaker 3: and and and people on the left bemoaning that that
- 10:23Speaker 3: that the assassin uh did not kill Donald Trump. That
- 10:28Speaker 3: is and Taylor Lorenz is not some fringe journalist. She
- 10:33Speaker 3: was a reporter both for the Washington Post and the
- 10:35Speaker 3: New York Times, and and and that approach is typically.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I want you to listen now to a University of
- 10:41Speaker 3: Pennsylvania professor Julia Alexeyeva uh talking about about this this assassination.
- 11:02Speaker 1: That is her playing that famous song and above her
- 11:05Speaker 1: it says, have never been prouder to be a professor
- 11:08Speaker 1: at the University of Pennsylvania. So referring to the fact
- 11:13Speaker 1: that he the shooter, uh, this this this man of
- 11:17Speaker 1: of of madness, and the executioner went to the University
- 11:21Speaker 1: of Pennsylvania.
- 11:23Speaker 3: So let me be clear, and I don't know Professor Alexeyeva,
- 11:27Speaker 3: but Penn should fire her. She she is playing that
- 11:30Speaker 3: is a song from Les Miss celebrating the French Revolution.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Apparently the good professor wants the guillotine in the streets,
- 11:38Speaker 3: wants to murder more CEOs. She's cheering, she's proud my
- 11:43Speaker 3: university graduated a murderer, and and and she's celebrating. This
- 11:47Speaker 3: person should not be teaching young people. This professor should
- 11:51Speaker 3: be fired because because this is this is the kind
- 11:55Speaker 3: of radical view and and look, I also want to
- 11:58Speaker 3: play a couple of couple of folks from TikTok and
- 12:00Speaker 3: and and and this is this is emblematic of how
- 12:05Speaker 3: leftists are are are not only normalizing this, but you
- 12:09Speaker 3: know who they're angry at. They're furious that a McDonald's
- 12:13Speaker 3: employee saw this murderer and turned him in and and
- 12:16Speaker 3: and and okay, here's here. Here is one TikToker, a
- 12:20Speaker 3: transgender influencer apparently on TikTok, and we'll we'll leave the
- 12:25Speaker 3: name off, but but play play what they said on TikTok.
- 12:28Speaker 8: They caught the guy that killed the u a CEO
- 12:31Speaker 8: for such a professional hit. It's kind of weird that
- 12:34Speaker 8: the gunman didn't leave the US. The guy that reported
- 12:37Speaker 8: it was a McDonald's worker.
- 12:39Speaker 9: I would never advocate for violence on my page, but
- 12:44Speaker 9: it would be pretty funny if we beat the out
- 12:46Speaker 9: of him, and then when he went to the hospital,
- 12:48Speaker 9: that if he was out of network and had to
- 12:50Speaker 9: pay a huge deal.
- 12:51Speaker 8: I think that would be funny. I'm not advocating for it,
- 12:56Speaker 8: but it would bring a smile to me.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Okay, you are advocating for it, and rolled her eyes
- 13:04Speaker 1: when she said I would never advocate for violence on
- 13:07Speaker 1: my page. She did a like sarcastic eye roll for
- 13:10Speaker 1: people that can't see what we were watching.
- 13:13Speaker 2: And you know what what.
- 13:16Speaker 3: That that TikTok leftist is feeling the same joy Taylor
- 13:21Speaker 3: Lorenz is and and and is is saying, wouldn't it
- 13:24Speaker 3: be wonderful if someone beat up this this McDonald's employee
- 13:28Speaker 3: who you want to talk about like catching a murderer
- 13:31Speaker 3: in a normal SAE time and and and listen, let's
- 13:34Speaker 3: be clear, you and I we disagree with people on
- 13:37Speaker 3: the radical left, but but nobody should be subject to
- 13:41Speaker 3: political violence. Whether I agree with you or don't agree
- 13:44Speaker 3: with you. Murder is wrong, period. The end, and and
- 13:49Speaker 3: all right, play another TikToker to give a sense of
- 13:52Speaker 3: just for the left. Listen, this is the cultural rot
- 13:58Speaker 3: of being told if someone is on the other side,
- 14:03Speaker 3: they are not human, they do not count, and violence
- 14:06Speaker 3: is perfectly acceptable.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Play this other TikToker.
- 14:09Speaker 10: Okay, so they've arrested our hot co assassin. Turns out
- 14:13Speaker 10: his name's Luigi. He's twenty six years old. He's an
- 14:17Speaker 10: Ivy League grad, did his undergrad and masters at Penn
- 14:22Speaker 10: in computer science. Smittype.
- 14:24Speaker 11: He's a little young for me, but ugh, baby, what
- 14:28Speaker 11: is you doing getting caught eating at McDonald's And curse
- 14:34Speaker 11: you McDonald's employee for turning him in.
- 14:37Speaker 10: But I get it. They up the reward of sixty thousand.
- 14:41Speaker 10: Maybe you needed that money. They never understood those crazy
- 14:44Speaker 10: women that wrote inmates in jail, but I guess you
- 14:49Speaker 10: always loved doing that.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I mean, this is an older lady and she refers
- 14:54Speaker 1: to him as the hot assassin and then says, curse
- 14:58Speaker 1: you McDonald's employee for turning him in, But maybe you
- 15:00Speaker 1: need the sixty thousand dollars and that's why I did it. No,
- 15:02Speaker 1: maybe the McDonald's employees actually just did the right thing,
- 15:05Speaker 1: because they saw an assassin sitting in the sea in
- 15:08Speaker 1: the McDonald's and they said, hey, I want to make
- 15:10Speaker 1: sure this guy doesn't take out another innocent person.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Well, and and and notice, you know, she says, what
- 15:17Speaker 3: is you doing not committing murder but getting caught? Like,
- 15:21Speaker 3: how dare you get caught? I don't want you to
- 15:24Speaker 3: get caught. She's like, I want to write love letters
- 15:26Speaker 3: to this murderer. And and hot assassin was was trending
- 15:31Speaker 3: on Twitter today and and the left is glamorizing and understand,
- 15:36Speaker 3: there is a reason for this. And this is something
- 15:38Speaker 3: you and I have talked about a lot, which is
- 15:41Speaker 3: this is cultural Marxism. This is the fruits of cultural Marxism.
- 15:45Speaker 3: These are the same people that are cheering on Hamas
- 15:48Speaker 3: and Hezbela, and cheering on the murderers and rapists of Hamas,
- 15:53Speaker 3: and are cheering on October seventh, that are on college
- 15:57Speaker 3: campuses waving signs saying we love Hamas, we support Hamas.
- 16:02Speaker 3: These are the same radicals who are screaming at Jewish
- 16:05Speaker 3: students as they did at the University of Washington. Go
- 16:08Speaker 3: back to the gas chambers and the ovens. This is
- 16:12Speaker 3: and We've talked about it. My most recent book, Unwoke,
- 16:17Speaker 3: How to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America. It traces the
- 16:21Speaker 3: growth of cultural Marxism that started in the universities, and
- 16:26Speaker 3: the universities are training young people that the basic Marxist dialectic,
- 16:32Speaker 3: the dichotomy is is between the oppressors and the victims,
- 16:38Speaker 3: and the oppressors and victims, in this case Karl Marx's
- 16:43Speaker 3: original Communist Manifesto, the oppressors were the capitalists, the oppressors
- 16:47Speaker 3: were the owners of capital, and the workers were the victims.
- 16:52Speaker 3: And what Marxists are taught is that the so called
- 16:56Speaker 3: oppressors are evil and bad, and the so called victims
- 16:59Speaker 3: are good and noble. And Marxists advocate the violent revolution
- 17:04Speaker 3: of the so called victims against the so called oppressors,
- 17:07Speaker 3: and that violent revolution almost invariably involves involves murder. That
- 17:14Speaker 3: there is a reason that the cultural Marxist on campus
- 17:21Speaker 3: are celebrating Hamas who murdered twelve hundred Israelis who raped
- 17:26Speaker 3: women and little girls. And to be clear, like Black
- 17:29Speaker 3: Lives Matter, the Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter, right
- 17:31Speaker 3: after October seventh tweeted out an image we support Palestine,
- 17:36Speaker 3: and it was an image of a paraglider. And to
- 17:38Speaker 3: be clear, this was not They were not engaging in
- 17:41Speaker 3: a debate about a two state solution in the Middle
- 17:46Speaker 3: East that one can reasonable people can disagree on that question.
- 17:50Speaker 3: They were explicitly the paragliders are what the Hamas terrorist
- 17:55Speaker 3: road flew in on to murder predominantly young people, young
- 18:00Speaker 3: young Jewish people at the music festival outside. They gunned
- 18:03Speaker 3: them down. I have met repeatedly with families of people
- 18:06Speaker 3: who were rape, people who were murdered in October seventh.
- 18:09Speaker 3: It was grotesque, it was evil, and Black Lives Matter
- 18:12Speaker 3: was saying you're our people, We stand with you. And
- 18:15Speaker 3: that is the doctrine of cultural Marxism that has infested
- 18:21Speaker 3: our universities for years after years after years. You know
- 18:25Speaker 3: this professor at Penn that is celebrating, she's celebrating because
- 18:29Speaker 3: she wants the violent overthrow of the so called oppressors.
- 18:34Speaker 3: And and you know what, Taylor Derinz has been taught
- 18:36Speaker 3: the same nonsense. And the problem is cultural Marxism. It
- 18:40Speaker 3: has spread from the universities to k through twelve education,
- 18:43Speaker 3: to journalism, to big business, to big tech, to entertainment.
- 18:46Speaker 3: It is spread. It is spread like a cancer. And
- 18:52Speaker 3: you know that there was another image that went viral online.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Why don't you tell people about about the image that
- 19:00Speaker 3: was being sent around today?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, this was another one and I saw it earlier today.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And I think it goes to even a broader conversation
- 19:09Speaker 1: about where we are in this country when it comes
- 19:12Speaker 1: to the left, where it seems that they want to
- 19:15Speaker 1: normalize the execution of anyone they disagree with.
- 19:19Speaker 7: We've seen that with Donald Trump.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Now there's this picture that was put out well put together,
- 19:25Speaker 1: says Health Insurance ceo. Compensation has CEO of Sigma making
- 19:29Speaker 1: twenty one million in his name Wellcare. The salary twenty
- 19:32Speaker 1: three point five million in the name humanis sixteen point
- 19:35Speaker 1: three million. The list goes on and on. The total
- 19:38Speaker 1: list is eight different CEOs. CBS Health CEO is a
- 19:42Speaker 1: great example on this list, and all of their pictures
- 19:45Speaker 1: are in color. And then the eighth person on the
- 19:49Speaker 1: list at the bottom right is United Healthcare Brian Thompson
- 19:53Speaker 1: ten point two million, and his picture is in black
- 19:56Speaker 1: and white. It is very clear that his pictures in black,
- 20:00Speaker 1: like why for the hey, he has been killed. We've
- 20:04Speaker 1: taken him out. The rest are still living, they're in color.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And this started to go out on social media, left
- 20:11Speaker 1: and right, and it's obviously the people that want this
- 20:14Speaker 1: out there is like, here's our kill list.
- 20:16Speaker 7: We started with Brian Thompson.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Now here's all the other ones that are still alive,
- 20:21Speaker 1: making even more money than he's making.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Look, it is twisted, it is sick. We're getting reports
- 20:28Speaker 3: of certainly healthcare CEOs, but CEOs across the country who
- 20:32Speaker 3: are upping their expenditures in the personal security because the
- 20:36Speaker 3: left is reveling in this sort of murder.
- 20:41Speaker 2: And let me be clear, murder is wrong, period the end.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Regardless of your politics, regardless of whether I agree with
- 20:49Speaker 3: you or disagree with you, nobody should be subject to violence.
- 20:53Speaker 3: And yet let's go to some of our favorite people,
- 20:57Speaker 3: the always charming and wonderful, unreasonable host of the View.
- 21:03Speaker 2: They were very unhappy.
- 21:04Speaker 3: They were very unhappy today because I called out the
- 21:08Speaker 3: extremists left for their violence and their willingness to engage
- 21:14Speaker 3: in assassinations and to try to assassinate, to assassinate this CEO,
- 21:18Speaker 3: to try to assassinate Donald Trump, and give a listen
- 21:21Speaker 3: to Joy Bihar. Just just whining about, oh, don't don't
- 21:26Speaker 3: blame us leftists for this, even though we're the ones celebrating.
- 21:30Speaker 12: A course, Ted Cruz has to politicize it and say
- 21:33Speaker 12: that it's a left wing thing.
- 21:35Speaker 7: I mean, the I think it was.
- 21:37Speaker 12: The second attempted assassination on Trump was a kid who
- 21:41Speaker 12: was a registered Republican who also voted for Biden and
- 21:45Speaker 12: had a lot of left wing stuff on his social media.
- 21:48Speaker 12: But I don't think that this is as you say,
- 21:50Speaker 12: it's not a political issue. And why does Ted Cruz
- 21:54Speaker 12: insist on dividing Americans even further?
- 21:58Speaker 7: Is my question to him.
- 22:00Speaker 1: You listen to the View, and I mean, you want to
- 22:02Speaker 1: talk about stretches. So now you're somehow politicizing people that
- 22:07Speaker 1: were trying to assassinate and actually shot Donald Trump, and
- 22:13Speaker 1: you're calling out the rhetoric. And now they say somehow
- 22:17Speaker 1: not only is Orange Man bad, but Ted Cruise is
- 22:19Speaker 1: bad as well well.
- 22:22Speaker 3: And and look that you know, the hosts of the
- 22:24Speaker 3: View are just denying reality.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Joy.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Every word that just came out of Joy's mouth is
- 22:29Speaker 3: complete nonsense. Is is babbling idiocy. And listen, I gotta
- 22:33Speaker 3: say I went on on the View for for my
- 22:37Speaker 3: second book, and my third book, and and and when
- 22:40Speaker 3: I went on for for for my third book, Justice Corrupted,
- 22:44Speaker 3: how the Left is weaponized our legal system. Uh, you know,
- 22:47Speaker 3: the view came after me.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Like like like.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Like vultures descending from the sky trying to consume my liver,
- 22:55Speaker 3: and they were screaming at me from multiple directions. We
- 22:58Speaker 3: actually had protesters stand up in the of the show
- 23:01Speaker 3: and disrupt the show, which had apparently never happened before.
- 23:05Speaker 3: But they're screaming at me, Well, aren't right wingers all
- 23:09Speaker 3: violent protesters? And you guys, it was all about January sixth,
- 23:12Speaker 3: and you're violent.
- 23:13Speaker 2: You're violent.
- 23:13Speaker 3: You're violent, ironically, that's what she was saying. And it
- 23:18Speaker 3: wasn't Joy. Joy was not all on that show. But
- 23:21Speaker 3: I turned to them and said, look, violence is wrong.
- 23:24Speaker 2: It's wrong. Whether I agree with you or disagree with you.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Anyone who committed an act of violence, anyone who's assaulted
- 23:29Speaker 3: a police officer, they should be prosecuted. Speech, peaceful speech
- 23:33Speaker 3: is protected by the Constitution. But I also said, you
- 23:37Speaker 3: want to talk about violence, I'm willing to say put
- 23:39Speaker 3: anyone in jail who commits active violence, are you? And
- 23:42Speaker 3: I asked on that show. What about the Black Lives
- 23:46Speaker 3: Matter and Antifa riots all over the country in twenty
- 23:49Speaker 3: twenty that burned American cities across the country and whoope.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Goldberg looked at me and said, I don't know what
- 23:55Speaker 3: an ANTIFA riot is. Look like they're literally living in
- 23:58Speaker 3: an alternative reality where they just that they just erase
- 24:05Speaker 3: the embrace of violence on the left. You know what,
- 24:09Speaker 3: maybe you remember Kamala Harris raising money to bail out
- 24:14Speaker 3: of jail, the violent rioters who burned Minneapolis and looted
- 24:21Speaker 3: stores and and violently assaulted people. This is who the
- 24:26Speaker 3: radical left cheers for, celebrates. You know, Joy ought to
- 24:30Speaker 3: ask herself, why does fellow leftist Taylor Lorenz find joy
- 24:36Speaker 3: in this cold blooded murder? And you know she's not
- 24:41Speaker 3: going to answer that. By the way, I will say
- 24:42Speaker 3: the irony the fourth book I wrote, Unwoke, about Cultural Marxism,
- 24:48Speaker 3: the view refused to have me on.
- 24:49Speaker 2: They'd had me on twice.
- 24:51Speaker 3: It apparently had not gone well to them because they're
- 24:54Speaker 3: used to just screaming one point of view and not
- 24:56Speaker 3: not having to face disagreement, and so they said, nope, no, sorry,
- 25:00Speaker 3: you're no longer welcome to the show. We don't want
- 25:03Speaker 3: anything other than our one sided view of propaganda that
- 25:08Speaker 3: we're spewing.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And that's what they continue to do.
- 25:10Speaker 7: No doubt about it.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And if you look at this story we just talked about,
- 25:13Speaker 1: and you compare and contrast it to how the media
- 25:16Speaker 1: is handling the Daniel Penny story of him being found
- 25:19Speaker 1: not guilty in that Subway choke hold trial, you can
- 25:23Speaker 1: see just how much they push a narrative depending on
- 25:26Speaker 1: who you are. You're a veteran and helping people from
- 25:29Speaker 1: a violent individual. Oh, you're a bad person. I want
- 25:32Speaker 1: to break that down for you in just a moment
- 25:34Speaker 1: as well. But first let me tell you about the
- 25:35Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. This Christmas and Honka
- 25:40Speaker 1: season is a time of hope and peace for many
- 25:42Speaker 1: of us, but for those in Israel right now facing
- 25:46Speaker 1: the ongoing war, it is a time of fear and uncertainty.
- 25:50Speaker 1: The hardships are felt by everyone, with many people struggling
- 25:54Speaker 1: to afford food and basic necessities. My good friend Klay
- 25:58Speaker 1: Travis is over there right now and he is looking
- 26:01Speaker 1: at where these atrocities took place and putting videos out
- 26:04Speaker 1: on social media, and it's a reminder if you go
- 26:06Speaker 1: look at them, of just how awful it has been
- 26:10Speaker 1: for the people in Israel. Now during this holiday season,
- 26:14Speaker 1: many living through the war in the Holy Land are
- 26:17Speaker 1: grieving the loss of loved ones while also ensuring isolation
- 26:21Speaker 1: and hunger. We must not let them feel forgotten by
- 26:25Speaker 1: the rest of the world. And that's why I'm partnering
- 26:27Speaker 1: with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Your special
- 26:31Speaker 1: holiday gift to the Fellowship helps provide a Honka food
- 26:34Speaker 1: box filled with basic necessities and essentials to bring nourishment, warmth,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and comfort to someone desperately in need. Give the gift
- 26:43Speaker 1: of hope and answered prayers this holiday season by going
- 26:47Speaker 1: to support IFCJ dot org to donate right now.
- 26:51Speaker 7: That's support IFCJ dot org.
- 26:54Speaker 1: You can also call to give over the phone at
- 26:56Speaker 1: eight eight eight four eight eight.
- 27:00Speaker 7: That's eight eight eight four eight eight four three two five. Senator,
- 27:06Speaker 7: Let's move to this.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Other story and it involves Daniel Penny, and thank goodness,
- 27:10Speaker 1: he was found not guilty many people, if you don't
- 27:13Speaker 1: remember the story, he was an individual that was protecting
- 27:17Speaker 1: innocent people from a violent individual on the subway on
- 27:22Speaker 1: the train in New York and He did it because
- 27:26Speaker 1: he feared for not only his life, but for others
- 27:29Speaker 1: that he was threatening. And Daniel Penny did what I
- 27:33Speaker 1: would hope that many men would do, which is to
- 27:38Speaker 1: stand in and to help people that are in need,
- 27:41Speaker 1: especially if there's someone that is violent. The media immediately
- 27:45Speaker 1: flipped this into a oh, white guy choke hold on
- 27:49Speaker 1: an African American. This was right in the middle of
- 27:52Speaker 1: a lot of the police brutality issues that we were
- 27:54Speaker 1: dealing with in this country and the stories and this
- 27:56Speaker 1: was a perfect narrative. And they went after this guy
- 27:59Speaker 1: and they also found out, oh, he's a veteran. Well,
- 28:01Speaker 1: a lot in the media don't like veterans, and so
- 28:04Speaker 1: it was a double whammy, and they wanted to put
- 28:06Speaker 1: this guy in jail for a very long time. Now,
- 28:09Speaker 1: thank goodness, on some on the jury said we're not
- 28:12Speaker 1: doing this. This was a victory, and yet they're still
- 28:16Speaker 1: attacking him even though now he's been found innocent.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Well, thank god that Daniel Penny was acquitted, found not
- 28:24Speaker 3: guilty by a jury of his peers, not guilty of
- 28:26Speaker 3: criminally negligent homicide. As you noted, Daniel Penny is a
- 28:30Speaker 3: twenty six year old marine veteran. He's an architecture student,
- 28:34Speaker 3: and he was charged by Alvin Bragg with both manslaughter
- 28:39Speaker 3: and criminally negligent homicide for the death of Jordan Neely.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Jordan Neely was a thirty year old homeless man who
- 28:50Speaker 3: had schizophrenia who barged into a train, was shouting death threats,
- 28:54Speaker 3: and he was high on a synthetic marijuana known as
- 28:59Speaker 3: as Kate.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Now it really is striking.
- 29:03Speaker 3: The murderer of the United Healthcare CEO was a twenty
- 29:06Speaker 3: six year old and the Left is celebrating that twenty
- 29:10Speaker 3: six year old murderer. In this instance, Penny is not
- 29:14Speaker 3: a murderer. It is not murder. Self defense is not murder.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Defending yourself if you have a reasonable fear for your
- 29:24Speaker 3: safety or the safety of others, you have a right
- 29:27Speaker 3: to defend yourself. That is not murder. And that's what
- 29:30Speaker 3: the jury concluded. And this case should never have been
- 29:35Speaker 3: brought if you look at the facts. The facts of
- 29:40Speaker 3: what happened here were horrific. And so the incident happened
- 29:47Speaker 3: on May one, twenty twenty three, and Neale barged onto
- 29:53Speaker 3: an f train in Manhattan, screaming death threats. The other
- 29:59Speaker 3: passengers on the train afterwards said that they were thankful
- 30:02Speaker 3: for Penny's intervention. Neely had a long criminal record. He
- 30:07Speaker 3: had an active arrest warrant, He had a history of psychosis,
- 30:11Speaker 3: and he was high on K two, which is a
- 30:13Speaker 3: synthetic former marijuana. If you look at what has happened
- 30:19Speaker 3: in New York with the violence and violence on subways,
- 30:23Speaker 3: just three days earlier, a passenger standing on a subway
- 30:28Speaker 3: had been stabbed with an ice pick on a J train.
- 30:33Speaker 3: About a month before, a PBS reporter got sucker punched
- 30:38Speaker 3: on a Number four train. A week before that, an
- 30:44Speaker 3: individual was shoved and hit the side of a moving
- 30:48Speaker 3: our train.
- 30:49Speaker 2: That individual survived.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Uh And and this pattern, you know, one of the
- 30:55Speaker 3: one of the witnesses on the train testify that Neely
- 31:00Speaker 3: shouted someone would quote die that day. And she went
- 31:06Speaker 3: on to say, quote, I got scared by the tone
- 31:08Speaker 3: that he was saying it. I've seen situations, but not
- 31:12Speaker 3: like that. And and Penny gave an interview afterwards, and
- 31:18Speaker 3: and here's what Penny said. He said said about about
- 31:22Speaker 3: this this deranged homeless man. Quote he was talking gibberish.
- 31:27Speaker 3: But these guys are pushing people in front of trains
- 31:29Speaker 3: and stuff. There were more than twenty subway shoves in
- 31:35Speaker 3: the year before Penny's encounter with Neely. This case should never, ever,
- 31:43Speaker 3: ever have been brought. But Alvin Bragg is a radical leftist,
- 31:48Speaker 3: and so Alvin Bragg is a cultural Marxist. He believes
- 31:53Speaker 3: he is in abusing the justice system to target his enemies.
- 31:58Speaker 3: And for the cultural Marxism, Penny is the oppressor because
- 32:04Speaker 3: of his race, because he's a white man and he's
- 32:06Speaker 3: a veteran, he is the oppressor, and Neely is the
- 32:10Speaker 3: victim again because of his race. Never Mind, they don't
- 32:14Speaker 3: care that he's a mentally ill criminal threatening to murder people.
- 32:17Speaker 3: That that is his These are people that you know,
- 32:23Speaker 3: presumably would have celebrated if Penny had been murdered. Because
- 32:27Speaker 3: once they assign you to these two groups, oppressor always
- 32:31Speaker 3: always wrong, victim always always always right. That is the
- 32:36Speaker 3: radical ideology. And again that the reaction of the left
- 32:44Speaker 3: is precisely the opposite of the reaction. And by the way,
- 32:49Speaker 3: I want to point out there's a reason I'm using
- 32:52Speaker 3: Daniel Penny's name. He was innocent, he was found not
- 32:55Speaker 3: guilty by a jury. There's a reason you and I
- 32:59Speaker 3: have not the name of the murderer who murdered the
- 33:03Speaker 3: United Healthcare CEO. I try very hard not to repeat
- 33:07Speaker 3: the names of murderers many times. These people want to
- 33:09Speaker 3: be famous, they want to be remembered, and so I think,
- 33:13Speaker 3: as far as I'm concerned, this guy's name should be
- 33:16Speaker 3: forgotten for all time. But you know what the leftists
- 33:19Speaker 3: are going to celebrate is celebrate him because that's their ideology.
- 33:24Speaker 7: Yeah, no doubt about it.
- 33:26Speaker 1: This is one of those stories where I hope that
- 33:28Speaker 1: people will stand up and say this is a hero
- 33:32Speaker 1: and be proud to say he is a hero, because
- 33:35Speaker 1: that's exactly what he is. And we should celebrate heroes
- 33:39Speaker 1: and we should not have to worry that when men
- 33:41Speaker 1: need to stand up and act to protect and defend people,
- 33:45Speaker 1: that they're going to do it and not have to
- 33:47Speaker 1: worry about thinking twice because of what just happened to
- 33:49Speaker 1: this individual. It's also a really sad commentary about New
- 33:52Speaker 1: York and New York City and the activist prosecutors there.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And finally, I want to get your thought on that.
- 33:57Speaker 1: With the prosecutors that went after him, should would there
- 34:00Speaker 1: be any scenario where he can in essence say, hey,
- 34:05Speaker 1: you guys didn't treat me the right way.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Look.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Look, I could easily see a lawsuit following from this.
- 34:12Speaker 3: I hope Alvin Bragg is thrown out of office. I
- 34:15Speaker 3: hope he is removed from office. The governor has the
- 34:18Speaker 3: authority to do that, of course. The governor, Kathy Hockle
- 34:21Speaker 3: is a leftist herself, a cultural Marxist herself. She's someone who,
- 34:25Speaker 3: by the way, said, if you're a Republican, get the
- 34:27Speaker 3: hell out of my state.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Moved to Florida. You don't belong in New York.
- 34:30Speaker 3: That is their ideology. If you are the enemy, they
- 34:33Speaker 3: are opposed to you. I gotta say, I want you
- 34:36Speaker 3: to listen to Daniel Penny and him talking about how
- 34:38Speaker 3: he was trying to protect other people's lives. He was
- 34:42Speaker 3: acting as a good Samaritan, acting as a hero, intervening,
- 34:46Speaker 3: risking his own life. Look, encountering a mentally ill, potentially
- 34:51Speaker 3: violent person threatening violence is a dangerous thing to do.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Here's what Daniel Penny had to say.
- 34:57Speaker 13: The guilt I would have felt if someone did get hurt,
- 35:00Speaker 13: if if he did do what he was threatening to do,
- 35:05Speaker 13: would never be able to live with myself.
- 35:08Speaker 7: And I'll I'll take.
- 35:09Speaker 13: A million court appearances and people calling me names and
- 35:14Speaker 13: people hating me just to keep one of those people
- 35:17Speaker 13: from getting hurt or killed.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Look that that that that is yes. Look and of
- 35:24Speaker 3: course how is the left reacting. I want you to
- 35:27Speaker 3: listen to m s NBC just just just expressing misery
- 35:33Speaker 3: that that that that Daniel Penny was was acquitted. And
- 35:36Speaker 3: and understand by the way, initially so there were two charges,
- 35:40Speaker 3: uh that were brought. Uh So Alvin Bragg brought two charges.
- 35:45Speaker 3: One charge was for manslaughter and the second charge was
- 35:49Speaker 3: for uh criminally uh criminally criminally negligent homicide. The jury
- 35:56Speaker 3: deadlocked on on the on the second degree remanslaughter claim,
- 36:01Speaker 3: which was the more serious charge. So that means they
- 36:04Speaker 3: had a disagreement. They could not come to agreement. And
- 36:08Speaker 3: so what did Alvin Bragg do. Well, Alvin Bragg moved
- 36:11Speaker 3: to dismiss the more serious charge and he was trying
- 36:15Speaker 3: to get a conviction on the less serious charge. And
- 36:18Speaker 3: I got to say, to the jury's credit, they came
- 36:21Speaker 3: back very quickly with a not guilty. So the jury
- 36:24Speaker 3: is determined he is innocent. But listen to MSNBC and
- 36:28Speaker 3: just how upset they are that this innocent man was
- 36:31Speaker 3: found not guilty Banking.
- 36:33Speaker 14: News here Daniel Penny found not guilty. But Lisa, we
- 36:36Speaker 14: also know that Jordan Neely's family had filed I believe
- 36:39Speaker 14: a civil suit in this case as well. Does the
- 36:42Speaker 14: verdict in this case impact that not necessarily?
- 36:45Speaker 15: I mean the law is wife with examples of people
- 36:49Speaker 15: who are quitted in criminal cases and yet find justice
- 36:53Speaker 15: with respect to civil accountability. I think the best example
- 36:56Speaker 15: of that is with respect to Fred Goldman's family. Fred
- 36:59Speaker 15: gold I'm sorry, Ron Goldman being the man who was
- 37:03Speaker 15: murdered alongside Nicole Brown Simpson. Even though OJ Simpson was
- 37:07Speaker 15: never found criminally guilty for those two murders. Fred Goldman,
- 37:11Speaker 15: the father, along with his daughter then sued O J.
- 37:14Speaker 14: Simpson Civilly and.
- 37:16Speaker 15: One a fairly large verdict with respect to civil liability
- 37:20Speaker 15: for OJ Simpson. There are many other examples of similar
- 37:23Speaker 15: dysjuncture between what happens in a criminal court and what
- 37:26Speaker 15: happens when respect to a wrongful death action, for example,
- 37:29Speaker 15: by a family.
- 37:30Speaker 1: It's sad center, but there seems to be another trend,
- 37:32Speaker 1: and that is if you are an innocent person and
- 37:36Speaker 1: then you are found innocent of a crime. If the
- 37:38Speaker 1: media doesn't like you, they're still going to act like
- 37:40Speaker 1: you're a threat to society.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Well, you look at that's a reporter Lisa Rubin on
- 37:44Speaker 3: MSNBC who is calling for the mentally ill homeless man
- 37:51Speaker 3: who was high on drugs and threatening to murder people
- 37:54Speaker 3: on the train, calling for him to find justice against
- 37:59Speaker 3: the marine who intervened to protect people and keep people safe,
- 38:03Speaker 3: and and and she analogizes it to the O. J.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Simpson case, which is utterly absurd because look, O J.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Simpson was charged with, and the facts were pretty powerful,
- 38:15Speaker 3: was guilty of murder.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Now, to be fair, O J.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Simpson was not found guilty of murder, but there was
- 38:21Speaker 3: significant evidence that OJ was guilty. There was significant enough
- 38:25Speaker 3: evidence that he ended up being hit.
- 38:29Speaker 2: With a with a large civil judgment.
- 38:31Speaker 3: This is not remotely there's no argument, no rational, reasonable
- 38:36Speaker 3: argument under the law, that Daniel Penny is guilty of murder.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Self defense is fully protected. And by the way, if
- 38:45Speaker 3: perchance you don't believe me, you should listen to my
- 38:49Speaker 3: former criminal law professor, Alan Dershowitz. Now, Alan Dershowitz is
- 38:53Speaker 3: a liberal, He's been a liberal his whole life, but
- 38:55Speaker 3: he has the courage to speak out and speak the
- 39:01Speaker 3: truth and listen to what Alan Dershowitz said about this
- 39:05Speaker 3: case and about the absolutely corrupt prosecutor Alvin Bragg.
- 39:09Speaker 14: I got to start off with just the immediate reaction
- 39:11Speaker 14: to the not guilty verdict in the Daniel Penny case.
- 39:14Speaker 4: I have to admit I was a little surprised.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Having hung on the higher count, I was not expecting
- 39:20Speaker 6: that they would so quickly acquit on the low account.
- 39:23Speaker 6: It probably shows that there were only one or two
- 39:26Speaker 6: people in the original high count that hung based on
- 39:30Speaker 6: their desire to see a conviction. So I think it's
- 39:34Speaker 6: a good thing now. I think the next step has
- 39:36Speaker 6: to be the removal of Alvin Bragg from the role
- 39:39Speaker 6: of District Attorney. He is a disgrace to the office.
- 39:42Speaker 6: The two cases he brought should never have been brought.
- 39:46Speaker 6: The case against Donald Trump, which was made up out
- 39:48Speaker 6: of old cloth, which to my mind involves unethical unprofessional
- 39:52Speaker 6: conduct by Bragg, and also this case, which should never
- 39:55Speaker 6: have been brought either. He brought it only because of
- 39:59Speaker 6: the racial component case and because of pressures from Black
- 40:03Speaker 6: Lives Matter and other groups on the outside. Both white
- 40:06Speaker 6: and black radicals who wanted these cases to be brought,
- 40:09Speaker 6: wanted this case to be brought, and we're going to
- 40:11Speaker 6: continue to complain even though there were obviously black members
- 40:14Speaker 6: of the jury who voted to a quite as well.
- 40:17Speaker 16: Professor, what do you make of how quickly they came
- 40:20Speaker 16: back with this verdict and also to there's the civil
- 40:22Speaker 16: case that he's also facing too, Daniel Penny does that
- 40:27Speaker 16: given that he's not guilty on the criminal case, what
- 40:30Speaker 16: happens to the civil case as well?
- 40:32Speaker 4: It'll be thrown out. There's no case there civilly.
- 40:36Speaker 6: The only thing that will happen is that Penny will
- 40:39Speaker 6: get an enormous amount of discovery and we'll get much
- 40:43Speaker 6: more information that we don't now have about the alleged
- 40:47Speaker 6: victim in the case. So my prediction is it will
- 40:51Speaker 6: be withdrawn. I don't think they'll go any further. I
- 40:54Speaker 6: don't think they'll get any kind of a verdict. Now,
- 40:57Speaker 6: you know, maybe the city will settle if they sue
- 41:01Speaker 6: the city as well. If I were the lawyers for
- 41:07Speaker 6: the alleged victim, I probably think I'd have a better
- 41:10Speaker 6: shot at getting some money from the city, which was
- 41:12Speaker 6: sympathetic obviously to the victim, than from a poor former
- 41:18Speaker 6: marine who probably doesn't have a lot of money.
- 41:21Speaker 4: So I don't think the simple case is going anywhere.
- 41:24Speaker 4: This is not O. J. Simpson, where the civil case
- 41:26Speaker 4: won after the criminal case loss. There was no case
- 41:29Speaker 4: here to bring it all, either civil or criminal.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Alan Dershowitz there seems to be optimistic, and I'm glad
- 41:36Speaker 1: he's saying, Hey, I don't think he's going to have
- 41:38Speaker 1: to deal with what, for example, A. J.
- 41:39Speaker 7: Simpson had to deal with. This is very different. I
- 41:42Speaker 7: hope he's right.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Well, listen, Alan Dershwitz. He's a good friend. As I said,
- 41:47Speaker 3: he was my criminal law professor, and I actually took
- 41:51Speaker 3: another class from him in law school as well. He
- 41:52Speaker 3: was a fantastic professor. He's the best professor I had
- 41:54Speaker 3: in law school. And he's a brilliant lawyer. He is
- 41:56Speaker 3: an incredibly talented lawyer. And you know, I remember my
- 42:02Speaker 3: first year in law school when dersh was stood up
- 42:06Speaker 3: and he said listen. He said, by any reasonable measure,
- 42:10Speaker 3: I am in the most liberal one percent of Americans
- 42:13Speaker 3: across this country. And he said at Harvard Law School,
- 42:17Speaker 3: oddly enough, I'm considered something of a conservative. This is
- 42:21Speaker 3: not America. I don't remember if he said this is
- 42:25Speaker 3: not America, but this is not a typical place. I mean,
- 42:27Speaker 3: this was thirty years ago, so I'm paraphrasing, but his
- 42:31Speaker 3: point was so. Dershowitz believes in free speech. That is
- 42:36Speaker 3: no longer where the left is. The left is eager
- 42:38Speaker 3: to censor someone who disagrees. Dershowitz does not celebrate the
- 42:43Speaker 3: murder of those he disagrees with. Dershowitz is not a
- 42:45Speaker 3: cultural Marxist. He's ad old school liberal. He's a civil libertarian.
- 42:50Speaker 3: He is, you know, has represented criminal defendants successfully. He's
- 42:55Speaker 3: gotten a lot of criminal defense off. He believes in
- 42:57Speaker 3: a vigorous protection constitutional rights for criminal defendants, and look,
- 43:04Speaker 3: I respect his courage. He's been demonized. He also supports
- 43:08Speaker 3: Israel and speaks out very powerfull and effective for Israel.
- 43:11Speaker 3: He's been demonized by the left for doing so because
- 43:14Speaker 3: they brooke no dissent. Anyone who dares oppose them is
- 43:18Speaker 3: the enemy. And so even though he's been one of
- 43:21Speaker 3: the most prominent liberals in the country for decades, he
- 43:27Speaker 3: is rejected by today's left because he actually has the
- 43:34Speaker 3: courage to speak out against them. I hope he's right
- 43:37Speaker 3: about the civil case. In any sane and ordinary universe.
- 43:41Speaker 2: That would be true.
- 43:42Speaker 3: I have to say I have a little bit less
- 43:44Speaker 3: confidence about a New York jury and a New York judge.
- 43:47Speaker 3: And maybe that's because we all saw the absolute kangaroo
- 43:51Speaker 3: courts that were convened against Donald Trump. And having seen
- 43:56Speaker 3: the civil suits and the criminal case against Donald Trump
- 44:01Speaker 3: and the New York justice system, Uh, he is right
- 44:04Speaker 3: on what should happen. Look, I am very grateful that
- 44:09Speaker 3: that that Daniel Penny was acquitted, But it says something
- 44:12Speaker 3: about how little confidence I have about the justice system
- 44:15Speaker 3: in New.
- 44:15Speaker 2: York that I was not sure this was happened would happen.
- 44:18Speaker 3: I thought there was a chance they they would come
- 44:22Speaker 3: back and follow through on what Alvin Bragg wanted them
- 44:25Speaker 3: to do, which is punish him because he was deemed
- 44:29Speaker 3: the bad guy. And and thankfully that the justice system
- 44:33Speaker 3: worked in this case. And you ought to ask yourself,
- 44:37Speaker 3: have you seen even a single Democrat celebrate the Daniel
- 44:42Speaker 3: Penny verdict?
- 44:43Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a great question.
