General Atomics expands in Lee County / UMMC launches new aircare service
Defense weapons manufacturer General Atomics is expanding its footprint in Lee County. The company announced an $87 million investment in its facility in Shannon. The University of Mississippi Medical Center’s AirCare has officially launched its new fixed-wing service. Officials said AirCare 5 is now operational and available to transport patients who need specialized care over longer distances across Mississippi and the surrounding region.
