Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Louisiana Orders Ten Commandments BACK into ALL Classrooms!
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: So yesterday I was on a plane and headed to
- 0:06Speaker 1: New York and my phone started to messages sort of
- 0:09Speaker 1: blow up with people asking me and also celebrating the
- 0:14Speaker 1: headline that the state of Louisiana became the first state
- 0:20Speaker 1: to require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public classrooms. Now,
- 0:26Speaker 1: there were a lot of people that were sending me
- 0:29Speaker 1: messages that were just straight up and its celebrating, saying
- 0:32Speaker 1: we should do this, or I want to do this,
- 0:34Speaker 1: or we need to do this, or demand to do
- 0:35Speaker 1: this in my state. Right whether the messages were coming
- 0:39Speaker 1: from people in California or New York or Tennessee, it
- 0:42Speaker 1: didn't really matter.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It was all over with its excitement.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Let me start by dialing back the excitement and be
- 0:50Speaker 1: a realist. There's two options when I come on this show.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I can either lie to you and sell you a
- 0:57Speaker 1: bill of goods about something that's so excited in a
- 1:00Speaker 1: great step forward, or I can be honest with you
- 1:02Speaker 1: about the reality of what is happening. I think the
- 1:05Speaker 1: majority of you listen because you want not a cheerleader.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You want someone to explain is this going to work?
- 1:12Speaker 1: And what are the other side of this? That's what
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm always going to do. I'm never gonna come on
- 1:17Speaker 1: here and I call it cheap radio, cheap talk where
- 1:23Speaker 1: you come on here and I get you all fired
- 1:25Speaker 1: up over something and I know that it's pretty much
- 1:28Speaker 1: a waste of time and worthless and isn't going to
- 1:31Speaker 1: actually happen. That is called cheerleading shows. I'm never going
- 1:37Speaker 1: to do that to you. I'm gonna be honest. So
- 1:38Speaker 1: let me just start with a reality check here. This
- 1:41Speaker 1: is not going to stand. This will be overturned. This
- 1:44Speaker 1: will come down to the separation of church and state,
- 1:47Speaker 1: and it will be overturned. Do I like that it's
- 1:49Speaker 1: going to be overturned? Let me also clarify that, of
- 1:52Speaker 1: course not. I would love to return to a time
- 1:55Speaker 1: in this country where we have prayer in school. I
- 2:00Speaker 1: wish we would go back in time where we had
- 2:01Speaker 1: a safe country where your kids could play outside and
- 2:03Speaker 1: you didn't have to worry about them being abducted.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I would love to live in a country.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Where we didn't have twenty plus million illegal immigrants flooding
- 2:13Speaker 1: this country. I would love to I would love to
- 2:15Speaker 1: have the safety of communities. I'd love to go back
- 2:18Speaker 1: to time we actually used the death ponally appropriately in
- 2:21Speaker 1: this country. We so have it, but we never use
- 2:23Speaker 1: it anymore. It's pretty much worthless this country. There are
- 2:27Speaker 1: certain parts of our history in the past that I
- 2:30Speaker 1: understand are exactly that our past. We're never going to
- 2:34Speaker 1: be able to get back there because of the radical
- 2:36Speaker 1: left now here is the reason why I say this
- 2:39Speaker 1: is not going to stand. Number one, because of separation,
- 2:43Speaker 1: interurgent state. You're never going to get this to hold up,
- 2:45Speaker 1: and the ACLU is already suing and losing it, and
- 2:47Speaker 1: they're going to win. The second problem with if you do,
- 2:52Speaker 1: in fact get a quote poster size copy of the
- 2:55Speaker 1: Ten Commandments in the classroom, which is the new requirement
- 2:59Speaker 1: Louisiana to be displayed in every public school classroom in
- 3:02Speaker 1: Louisy and under a bill signed alaw on Wednesday, if
- 3:05Speaker 1: you get this and it happens and it's stuck, then
- 3:08Speaker 1: you're gonna have another problem down the road.
- 3:11Speaker 2: What about if they decide in another.
- 3:14Speaker 1: State or a city to post another religious text which
- 3:18Speaker 1: goes against what you believe in which the majority of
- 3:21Speaker 1: you listening, I'm assuming, believe in the Ten Commandments. What
- 3:24Speaker 1: if you're in Utah they passed where they demand that
- 3:27Speaker 1: there must be writings from the Mormon Church. And you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: out there as a taxpayer, and your kid is going
- 3:34Speaker 1: to school and you don't believe, and you're not a Mormon, right,
- 3:38Speaker 1: would you be okay with that? Let's say that you're
- 3:41Speaker 1: up in Minneapolis, Saint Paul. There's a very good chance
- 3:44Speaker 1: there they could pass the Quran must be posted or certain,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you know, whatever their commandments are. They could have a
- 3:51Speaker 1: list that they decide to post in the schools there. There.
- 3:57Speaker 2: This is a very show arp double edged sword.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Now you go back when we had prayer in school,
- 4:05Speaker 1: The prayers were not to Allah, Okay, the prayers were
- 4:09Speaker 1: not to some weird religion or Satanism. Okay that it
- 4:15Speaker 1: was very universal. Everybody when we had prayer in school
- 4:19Speaker 1: back in the day, understood that we were praying to God.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:22Speaker 1: There was a uniformity in the morals in this country
- 4:27Speaker 1: like we will never ever ever have again. So if
- 4:30Speaker 1: you allow for something like this to now happen in
- 4:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, you better be ready for the other
- 4:37Speaker 1: side of this incredibly sharp sword. When all of a
- 4:42Speaker 1: sudden you see a headline which says in Minnesota, for example,
- 4:45Speaker 1: or New York for example, or California for example, that
- 4:48Speaker 1: they're gonna have you know, in this school district that
- 4:50Speaker 1: you know, they're gonna have commandments in Wicca, commandments of Satanism,
- 4:54Speaker 1: commandments to the Book of Mormon, right, and Jesah Smith
- 4:57Speaker 1: like that, like this is going to this this we
- 5:00Speaker 1: will explode with what I would refer to as revenge religion. Now,
- 5:07Speaker 1: I don't want the Quran posted in the public schools,
- 5:11Speaker 1: and I think you would agree with me. Now, if
- 5:14Speaker 1: you want to go back to the excitement around Louisiana
- 5:17Speaker 1: for a moment, we can do that. I love the
- 5:20Speaker 1: fact that Louisiana is saying to the rest of the
- 5:22Speaker 1: country that we are going to be a state that
- 5:28Speaker 1: is based in family and Christian values, not the Quran, right,
- 5:33Speaker 1: not any other religion, not Satanism. But Louisiana said very
- 5:37Speaker 1: clearly that they're going to be the first state to
- 5:39Speaker 1: successfully pass legislation requiring the display of the Ten Commandments
- 5:43Speaker 1: in public class rooms, including state funded universities.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Since the Supreme Court voted.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Five four to banish the Tendants from America's classrooms in
- 5:53Speaker 1: nineteen eighty, Efforts to restore the Commandments to public schools
- 5:57Speaker 1: are active in other states, including Texas, Oklahoma, and Utah.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Remember I mentioned Utah. There you go, although none so
- 6:06Speaker 1: far have been successful. The bill outlines that no state
- 6:10Speaker 1: funding is to be used to place the Ten Commandments
- 6:13Speaker 1: into the public school classrooms. Rather, schools may accept donation
- 6:16Speaker 1: funds to purchase displays or accept donated displays.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Well, they're going to get those, that's not going to
- 6:21Speaker 2: be a problem.
- 6:22Speaker 1: There's going to be churches and religious groups and people
- 6:25Speaker 1: that want the pr and there's going to be elected
- 6:27Speaker 1: officials that are going to want to playoff religion to
- 6:30Speaker 1: get you to like them and vote for them and
- 6:31Speaker 1: support them. So also understand that aspect of this, like
- 6:35Speaker 1: this is very much.
- 6:37Speaker 2: A political play.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Now, I am going to be a little cynical for
- 6:40Speaker 1: a second, and then I'll go back to some more
- 6:42Speaker 1: excitement for you.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I want you to understand why this happens.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Okay, the elected officials, including Governor Landry down there, they know,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and they've been briefed by their lawyers that this is
- 6:55Speaker 1: not going to stand. They've been brief that this is
- 6:58Speaker 1: going to be expensive to defend, and it's.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Going to cost a lot of taxpayers dollars.
- 7:04Speaker 1: They're willing to do it to send a message to
- 7:07Speaker 1: their supporters and to the church community that I am
- 7:11Speaker 1: your guy, that I am your person, and I'm going
- 7:16Speaker 1: to fight for our Christian values. And so there is
- 7:18Speaker 1: some value in that when you're running for election or
- 7:22Speaker 1: running for reelection, right, this is an approval rating move.
- 7:26Speaker 1: And what they've done in the polling down there in
- 7:28Speaker 1: louisiing as I'm sure they've said, okay, do and would
- 7:32Speaker 1: the majority of voters, specifically Republican voters and undecided, would
- 7:37Speaker 1: they be in favor would they be against having the
- 7:40Speaker 1: Ten Commandments in schools? And overwhelmingly that is going to
- 7:43Speaker 1: show that Republicans are going to say yes to that question.
- 7:47Speaker 1: They're also going to see that there's been a shift
- 7:51Speaker 1: with independent voters.
- 7:53Speaker 2: So this is.
- 7:54Speaker 1: A exercise in basically building a foundation for why people
- 8:02Speaker 1: like you and the conversations that are gonna take place
- 8:04Speaker 1: are gonna be the conversation.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Man, I sure do like that new governor Landry. Do
- 8:08Speaker 2: you see what he did?
- 8:09Speaker 1: He gave us some Ten Commandments back in the schools
- 8:11Speaker 1: and then then liberal you know what them wastards out there,
- 8:16Speaker 1: they fought it and you know, went to spring Court
- 8:18Speaker 1: and we lost.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But you know, at least I know my governor is
- 8:20Speaker 2: a Christian. Amen.
- 8:21Speaker 1: That's the conversation they're hoping takes place. They're hoping that
- 8:26Speaker 1: mothers will be like you know, I you know, I've
- 8:28Speaker 1: been tired and put out with politicians.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But I tell you what. You know, them voting and
- 8:34Speaker 2: them deciding to put the Ten Commandments back in schools,
- 8:36Speaker 2: how will you?
- 8:37Speaker 1: It's it's it's a way to get out the vote,
- 8:41Speaker 1: but you have to understand, it doesn't mean it's gonna stand.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It doesn't mean it's gonna actually happen.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And so I again, I come on here, and I
- 8:51Speaker 1: tell you I would love to go back to a
- 8:53Speaker 1: time where this country believed in the in God and
- 8:57Speaker 1: Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I don't think we're ever going to get back there.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And if you open up this can of worms, now,
- 9:07Speaker 1: you have to be prepared for the other side of
- 9:09Speaker 1: the sword. And there's gonna be a lot of kids
- 9:11Speaker 1: that may be looking at the Commandments of Allah on
- 9:14Speaker 1: the wall in certain areas of the country because there
- 9:19Speaker 1: is going to be revenge over this move.
- 9:21Speaker 2: In Louisiana. It will happen. Look, you can.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Get excited about the Ten Commandments, no doubt, but then
- 9:29Speaker 1: there's reality. There are empty promises that are made all
- 9:32Speaker 1: the time by politicians on both sides of the aisle.
- 9:35Speaker 1: This story completely underrelated, but it's a perfect example of
- 9:38Speaker 1: empty promises, right like so that you'll just get excited.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You may remember that a couple of years ago, and
- 9:46Speaker 1: this was a really big deal, and I think it
- 9:48Speaker 1: was twenty twenty one, Joe Biden came out and he
- 9:52Speaker 1: said there's gonna be We're gonna spend forty two billion
- 9:56Speaker 1: to get high speed internet for all Americans. And there
- 9:59Speaker 1: was this was like a really really high polling issue,
- 10:02Speaker 1: no different than the Ten Commandments is. And if you
- 10:06Speaker 1: ask the majority of Americans, especially if you go back
- 10:08Speaker 1: twenty twenty one you think about COVID and everything else,
- 10:12Speaker 1: there were an awful lot of people, I mean a
- 10:15Speaker 1: significant number of people that wanted access to high speed internet.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And they saw this in the polling, and so what
- 10:21Speaker 1: they did was they came out, They're like, we're gonna
- 10:23Speaker 1: do this.
- 10:23Speaker 2: We're gonna do this, We're gonna give We're.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Gonna spend forty two billion dollars on a high speed
- 10:28Speaker 1: internet plan so that all Americans will have access to
- 10:31Speaker 1: high speed internet, and everybody cheered.
- 10:34Speaker 2: It was a no brainer.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You ask Americans, so they want high speed internet availability
- 10:39Speaker 1: in their area? Of course it pulls it probably, I
- 10:41Speaker 1: don't know, ninety plus percent, right, of course, Like who's
- 10:44Speaker 1: gonna say no to that. Everybody's going to be excited
- 10:48Speaker 1: about that. Everybody's gonna want that. So we did it well. Now,
- 10:53Speaker 1: an FEC commissioner has confirmed yes. In fact, in twenty
- 10:58Speaker 1: twenty one, the Biden administration did play edge forty two
- 11:01Speaker 1: point four to five billion from Congress to deploy high
- 11:05Speaker 1: speed internet to millions of American That was in twenty
- 11:08Speaker 1: twenty one.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Years later, in twenty twenty four.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Right now, it is not connected even one person to
- 11:16Speaker 1: high speed internet with those funds. In fact, it now
- 11:18Speaker 1: says that no construction projects will even start until twenty
- 11:24Speaker 1: twenty five at the earliest. Now, this senior member of
- 11:28Speaker 1: the Federal Communications Commission is blaming the Biden administration for
- 11:32Speaker 1: in fact slowing down the plan to bring internet access
- 11:35Speaker 1: to rule parts of the country, despite spending tens of
- 11:37Speaker 1: billions of dollars on the project. According to the Commissioner
- 11:41Speaker 1: car President Brden's Infrastructure Investment in Jobs Act aka the
- 11:46Speaker 1: Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill promise high speed broadband connection to millions
- 11:51Speaker 1: of Americans. Three years later, the administration has yet to
- 11:55Speaker 1: spend those funds on even one single person to get
- 11:58Speaker 1: the high speed Internet. Now, internet obviously has nothing to
- 12:03Speaker 1: do with the Ten Commandments. What it does have everything
- 12:05Speaker 1: to do with is the empty promise here. So I'm
- 12:08Speaker 1: gonna make it clear and say this. I love to
- 12:12Speaker 1: see that people are fighting for faith. I love to
- 12:15Speaker 1: see that people are fighting in a in a real,
- 12:22Speaker 1: real way for getting some sort of morals and values
- 12:33Speaker 1: into our schools. I love that there are people that
- 12:37Speaker 1: understand that taking prayer out of school okay, was a
- 12:44Speaker 1: bad thing, but putting it back in the way that
- 12:49Speaker 1: we would have to do it would then open up
- 12:52Speaker 1: for the for those that hate Christians, for those that
- 12:57Speaker 1: are in other religions. Could be Wicca in one school,
- 13:01Speaker 1: could be Satanism, another could be Mormonism. In another, could
- 13:05Speaker 1: be that the list goes on the Quran and another.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Can you imagine if you had the rules of Allah
- 13:13Speaker 1: on the wall in your public school, you'd be pretty mad,
- 13:15Speaker 1: right like you'd be pretty upset about it. And that's
- 13:19Speaker 1: the point that people need to comprehend. That's the point
- 13:23Speaker 1: that people really, really really need to understand.
- 13:28Speaker 2: These are real issues.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I would love for this to be successful, and you
- 13:36Speaker 1: can get excited about it, but I'm telling you it
- 13:39Speaker 1: is not going to happen the way that people are
- 13:43Speaker 1: implying that's going to happen. There's also workarounds, So let
- 13:47Speaker 1: me just deal with one of those real quick. There
- 13:49Speaker 1: are people are saying, well, the build they did it
- 13:51Speaker 1: the right way because there's no state funding that's going
- 13:53Speaker 1: to be used to place these Ten Commandments in the
- 13:54Speaker 1: public schools. So that's how you're gonna get around church
- 13:56Speaker 1: and state. No, it won't, Okay, it just won't. I'm
- 13:59Speaker 1: telling you it won't. Quote Dean Young, who helped do
- 14:04Speaker 1: some of this, he said, quote I'm going to organize
- 14:06Speaker 1: an effort and we will fund it.
- 14:08Speaker 2: So there's gonna be people that make money off of this.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Right, they're gonna go out there and tell you, oh, donate,
- 14:12Speaker 1: They're gonna take money, and it's gonna go to these
- 14:14Speaker 1: organizations and donate to the to these ten Commandments that
- 14:17Speaker 1: are gonna be put up and then immediately taken down
- 14:18Speaker 1: when the courts say no.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Young, right, who just got his name out there.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Dean Young is a Christian activist who has worked for
- 14:25Speaker 1: thirty years to restore the Ten Commandments of classrooms across
- 14:27Speaker 1: the United States of America. And in thirty years he's
- 14:30Speaker 1: done it zero times until now, basically, and this one
- 14:32Speaker 1: will be undone as well. But this is how you
- 14:34Speaker 1: raise money. You go to Christians, you go, I won't
- 14:36Speaker 1: get the Ten Commandments back in that classroom.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I need you write me a check. And this guy
- 14:40Speaker 2: has made a living.
- 14:41Speaker 1: For thirty years selling people on something that is that
- 14:45Speaker 1: he can sell them on their faith and their emotions
- 14:48Speaker 1: not based in reality. Quote, there will be a Ten
- 14:51Speaker 1: Commandments for every single classroom Louisiana, at LSU, at every college,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and it will be funded, Young continued, which Wyay said
- 14:59Speaker 1: it's not going to happen. The bill points to more recent
- 15:01Speaker 1: decisions by the Supreme Court finding that the Ten Commandments
- 15:04Speaker 1: have historical significance, is one of the foundations of our
- 15:06Speaker 1: legal system and represent a common cultural heritage. The bill
- 15:11Speaker 1: further states that recognizing the historical role of the Ten
- 15:14Speaker 1: Commandments accords with our nation's history and faithfully reflects the
- 15:19Speaker 1: understanding of the founders of our nation with respect to
- 15:21Speaker 1: the necessity of civil morality to a functioning self government.
- 15:27Speaker 1: That is the headline from him, and I love that.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It doesn't mean it's going to happen. Don't be sold
- 15:36Speaker 1: a bill of goods that is never going to happen
- 15:40Speaker 1: because politicians want it for polls, and both sides do this.
- 15:46Speaker 2: That's the takeaway from this.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Let me also move to this and the Ten Commandments.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Let me let me start all over. Let me just
- 15:56Speaker 2: start over, rephrase this.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I want to be clear that I would love to
- 16:03Speaker 1: live in a country that we had uniformity and values
- 16:10Speaker 1: and faith and religion. I pray that we get back
- 16:16Speaker 1: there organically in some capacity at some point. But I'm
- 16:22Speaker 1: never going to tell you that we're going to fix
- 16:24Speaker 1: this country by doing something that I know will not stand.
- 16:30Speaker 1: And there's a reason why over the last thirty years,
- 16:33Speaker 1: no other school has been able to get the Ten
- 16:35Speaker 1: Commandments to stay. And there is Pandora's box if you
- 16:39Speaker 1: get the Ten Commandments back, because you've lost the country
- 16:41Speaker 1: where we have one generic belief in God. So every
- 16:47Speaker 1: other religion is going to get a shot at that classroom,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and that is the Pandora's box that will never, in
- 16:53Speaker 1: my opinion, go way at least on in my lifetime,
- 16:55Speaker 1: not based on the trends and not based on what
- 16:57Speaker 1: we're seeing. Some of you are gonna be probably upset
- 17:01Speaker 1: with me for telling you the truth on this one.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Just watch what happens. The ACLU is.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Gonna raise millions and millions of dollars off of this
- 17:08Speaker 1: case to to then go after Louisiana and they're gonna
- 17:11Speaker 1: defend it and it's gonna get a bunch of headlines.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And then the politicians Louisiana, they're gonna be like, when
- 17:15Speaker 1: we're defending this in the court, and then they're gonna get overturned.
- 17:18Speaker 1: They're gonna yell about that and complain, and then they'll
- 17:20Speaker 1: be on the record going, well, at least we tried,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and there's somebody would say, well, you should try, and
- 17:24Speaker 1: that's that's a that's a fair point.
- 17:26Speaker 2: But it's gonna cost the taxpayers a lot of money.
- 17:29Speaker 1: But the Ten Commandments, unfortunately, are not gonna stay up
- 17:33Speaker 1: in Louisiana. I wish I was wrong, by the way,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I really really do, but it's not gonna stand. Now,
- 17:38Speaker 1: let me get to another subject that's important, and that
- 17:42Speaker 1: is we are getting some new polling after the conviction
- 17:48Speaker 1: of Donald Trump. Now, we had national polling that came
- 17:51Speaker 1: out after the after he quote became a fellon in
- 17:53Speaker 1: New York City, right and found guilty on all the
- 17:56Speaker 1: what was it thirty four counts?
- 17:58Speaker 2: Okay?
- 17:58Speaker 1: And and and national polling right now doesn't matter to me.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I care about state polling and swing state polling, and
- 18:05Speaker 1: that's what you should care about. I talk about this
- 18:07Speaker 1: every present election cycle since I don't know, I was
- 18:09Speaker 1: twelve years old, and I don't care about national polls.
- 18:14Speaker 2: National polls will.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Give you a trend if there's something changing, and I
- 18:18Speaker 1: know what the trend is. There's a lot of Americans
- 18:21Speaker 1: that don't look at Joe Biden the same way they
- 18:22Speaker 1: did four years ago.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That's a great trend.
- 18:25Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, it's going to
- 18:26Speaker 1: come down to states, because we don't popular vote is
- 18:28Speaker 1: completely worthless in this country.
- 18:30Speaker 2: It means nothing.
- 18:30Speaker 1: They're people that have won the popular vote loss just
- 18:33Speaker 1: people that have lost popular vote and won it. All
- 18:36Speaker 1: is comes down to the electoral college. So what I
- 18:40Speaker 1: care about is what the polls do after a case
- 18:43Speaker 1: like that in New York and in swing states. Well,
- 18:46Speaker 1: we now have some data on that, and I want
- 18:49Speaker 1: to give you one of those states which I'm extremely
- 18:51Speaker 1: excited about. Arizona has been a state where Donald Trump
- 18:56Speaker 1: has been behind Joe Biden. Is a weird political state
- 19:01Speaker 1: right now because you have a lot of infighting within
- 19:04Speaker 1: the Republican Party, the old school establishment Republicans there that
- 19:08Speaker 1: are the John McCain Republicans. They don't like people like,
- 19:12Speaker 1: for example, Cary Lake. They don't like that she kept,
- 19:15Speaker 1: you know, suing to try to become the senator or
- 19:19Speaker 1: the governor.
- 19:20Speaker 2: You know, there's there's last time.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Now she's running for Senates, like, but she hadn't dropped
- 19:24Speaker 1: the lawsuit, and it's just it's gotten it's gotten dirty.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I I like Cary, She's very polarizing. We had dinner
- 19:33Speaker 1: a couple of nights actually out in Las Vegas at
- 19:35Speaker 1: a event not that long ago. And and I like
- 19:39Speaker 1: her her brand. I like how she's a fighter. But
- 19:43Speaker 1: it has turned off some voters. And so ultimately it's
- 19:47Speaker 1: going to come down to do the voters like Donald
- 19:51Speaker 1: Trump in Arizona. Well, this new poll out has Trump
- 19:54Speaker 1: leading Biden in Arizona in a post jury conviction former
- 19:59Speaker 1: p as a Donald Trump leading Joe Biden the swing
- 20:02Speaker 1: state of Arizona. A recent survey from Rasmusen reveals. The
- 20:07Speaker 1: survey asked respondents quote, if the twenty twenty four president
- 20:11Speaker 1: election were held today, and the candidates were Joe Biden
- 20:14Speaker 1: and former President Donald Trump, who would you vote for?
- 20:16Speaker 1: Very simple question, very straightforward, like it. Forty seven percent
- 20:21Speaker 1: of likely voters said they would support Trump. Now you
- 20:24Speaker 1: may say, well, that's not good, it's not above fifty. Listen,
- 20:27Speaker 1: the second half forty percent said the same of Biden.
- 20:30Speaker 1: That's a seven point difference. The difference of seven percentage
- 20:35Speaker 1: point in a head to head matchup is massive. Another
- 20:39Speaker 1: nine percent say they remain undecided. Notably, independents are split
- 20:44Speaker 1: between Trump and Biden, and this matters more than any
- 20:46Speaker 1: other aspect of the poll in swing state. So the
- 20:51Speaker 1: independent voters are what swing the state. Independent voters are
- 20:55Speaker 1: split between Trump and Biden a head to head matchup,
- 20:58Speaker 1: with each candidate garnering thirty nine percent support and another
- 21:03Speaker 1: seventeen percent remaining undecided. Now what does that mean? In translation?
- 21:07Speaker 1: It means, look right now, if there's an election in Arizona.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I think Trump would win just because of the forty
- 21:13Speaker 1: seven to forty starting point. I don't think that the
- 21:16Speaker 1: majority eighty percent are going to break the other way
- 21:19Speaker 1: that are undecided for Joe Biden. What it also means
- 21:23Speaker 1: is it's still very much up in the air. Now.
- 21:26Speaker 2: If the election was today, I think Trump would win.
- 21:28Speaker 1: It.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Can that change by November? You better believe it. Now.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Here's the other caveat of this poll.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And this is going to be an important polling aspect
- 21:36Speaker 1: that you need to pay attention to no matter where
- 21:39Speaker 1: you are right now listening to me. When third party
- 21:42Speaker 1: candidates including Independent Kennant Robert F. Kennedy Junior, Independent Kennet
- 21:48Speaker 1: Cornell West, and Green Party Kennant Jill Stein are added
- 21:52Speaker 1: to the mix, Trump still leads the pack with forty
- 21:56Speaker 1: one percent support to Biden's thirty seven percent support. Now,
- 22:00Speaker 1: notice how that that changed significantly. We went from a
- 22:04Speaker 1: seven point lead down to a four point lead with
- 22:07Speaker 1: the with all the independent candidates coming in because a
- 22:11Speaker 1: lot of independent voters will cast votes for third party
- 22:14Speaker 1: type cannants, Green party candidates you know Cornell West or
- 22:19Speaker 1: or RFK Junior as a protest vote, saying I'm unhappy
- 22:23Speaker 1: with both of the establishment canditts. I'm unhappy with Trump,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I'm happy with Biden. So I'm going to vote, but
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna vote in protests, and I'm going to pick
- 22:30Speaker 1: one of these other three. A difference of four percentage
- 22:34Speaker 1: points is a lot, but also not that much when
- 22:38Speaker 1: you're months away. Another ten percent go for Kennedy, followed
- 22:43Speaker 1: by two percent for West and one percent for Stein.
- 22:46Speaker 1: What this means is and this is my worry early
- 22:48Speaker 1: on about RFK Junior, who I also had dinner with
- 22:53Speaker 1: not that long ago, and he concerns me because the
- 22:55Speaker 1: guy's a hardcore radical lefty, but he's been able through
- 22:59Speaker 1: some issues like vaccine mandates, he's been able to get
- 23:02Speaker 1: the eyes of conservative voters to start looking at him.
- 23:07Speaker 1: This is a guy that hates, for example, the Second Amendment,
- 23:09Speaker 1: wants to take away all of your guns.
- 23:10Speaker 2: He set it publicly for years and years and years.
- 23:13Speaker 1: This is a guy that believes the government should pay
- 23:16Speaker 1: for your interest rate if it's above I think it
- 23:18Speaker 1: was three percent nationwide, so we should have full blown
- 23:21Speaker 1: government subsidized housing in this country.
- 23:24Speaker 2: That is socialism. Terrifies me.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Now, the survey, taken among seven hundred and fifty likely
- 23:33Speaker 1: Arizona voters, was taken a significant amount of time all
- 23:39Speaker 1: right after the Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on all
- 23:41Speaker 1: the thirty four counts in his controversial business records trial.
- 23:47Speaker 2: That's good news because now it's.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Really set in and the reality is set in with voters,
- 23:54Speaker 1: and they don't seem to be moved by the conviction
- 23:56Speaker 1: of New York. I think they believe it is a
- 23:58Speaker 1: witch hunt, even those that are on the left. No,
- 24:01Speaker 1: it was political in nature. Now, several other state level
- 24:05Speaker 1: surveys examining the race in battleground states, even traditionally blue
- 24:11Speaker 1: states such as Minnesota, and this is also important, showed
- 24:16Speaker 1: Trump edging out Biden in the post jury verdict, suggesting
- 24:20Speaker 1: that the establishment media and their strategy to use law
- 24:24Speaker 1: fair to tank the former president is not working the
- 24:27Speaker 1: way they.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Were hoping that it would.
- 24:30Speaker 1: For example, a Mitchell Research MIRS News survey poll examining
- 24:36Speaker 1: the race in Michigan, and Michigan is a is a
- 24:39Speaker 1: liberal state.
- 24:40Speaker 2: It's not conservative.
- 24:41Speaker 1: It's a swing state, yes, but it leans consistently more liberal.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Taken June third, days after the jury verdict showed Trump
- 24:50Speaker 1: edging out Biden a head to head matchup by zero
- 24:52Speaker 1: point six percent. Now you add in those other candidates,
- 24:55Speaker 1: and let's be honest, Trump probably loses. Okay, when the
- 24:59Speaker 1: third parties were included, Trump lead is still within the
- 25:03Speaker 1: margin of era. It actually goes up, which is interesting,
- 25:06Speaker 1: but it's still too close at one point two percent.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Now that is significant there as Biden took the state
- 25:14Speaker 1: in twenty twenty by less than three percent, so it's
- 25:18Speaker 1: a it's a four point two percent swing since the
- 25:20Speaker 1: last election cycle. You look at this Michigan polan, it's
- 25:23Speaker 1: very much within the margin of era. They have head
- 25:26Speaker 1: to head forty eight, forty forty eight to forty seven,
- 25:29Speaker 1: not even it's even close to that. So let me
- 25:30Speaker 1: give you the desk after the decimal. Trump is pulling
- 25:33Speaker 1: at forty eight point two, Biden at forty seven point six.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So that is that's a flip a coin. And when
- 25:38Speaker 1: I flip a coin and it's in a democratic state,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I think it's going to break for the Democrat when
- 25:43Speaker 1: it's that close, because it's a democratic state.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Here's the interesting part. You go back to what I said.
- 25:48Speaker 1: When you add in the third party, candidates Trump forty
- 25:51Speaker 1: six point three, Biden forty five point one.
- 25:55Speaker 2: RFK is at three point three.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So in Michigan, RFK on the ballot actually help Donald Trump,
- 26:01Speaker 1: whereas in other states we're finding out that it actually doesn't.
- 26:04Speaker 2: What this tells me is the.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Conviction did not give the Democrats what they wanted, what
- 26:11Speaker 1: they were desperately needing. That's the most important part here,
- 26:16Speaker 1: And if the president can continue to stay focused on
- 26:19Speaker 1: the issues, then we're going to be in very good
- 26:23Speaker 1: shape come election day, I believe. Make sure by the
