- 2:03Speaker 1: got a radio show. Here we're going today. I think
- 2:08Speaker 1: I have something for a lot of people today, at
- 2:11Speaker 1: least I hope I do. And this is about on
- 2:14Speaker 1: your journey, And this is about something that happens to
- 2:19Speaker 1: us all. I mean, what happens to all of us
- 2:24Speaker 1: from time to time when we get discouraged. What happens
- 2:29Speaker 1: to all of us when we feel like quitting, What
- 2:33Speaker 1: happens to all of us when we have that turn
- 2:36Speaker 1: back moment. What happens to all of us when it
- 2:40Speaker 1: don't seem like it's gonna paying out. Because I want
- 2:44Speaker 1: you to understand something that everyone, every single living soul
- 2:49Speaker 1: has those thoughts about something at some point in their life.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I mean, you know, look, I've oftentimes been discouraged about
- 3:00Speaker 1: things not happening as fast as I like them. All
- 3:04Speaker 1: things don't paying out the way I would like for
- 3:07Speaker 1: them to have payed out. I mean, there's so many
- 3:11Speaker 1: ways to get discouraged. But what But what my encouragement
- 3:18Speaker 1: to you is when discouragement comes is understand this. It
- 3:25Speaker 1: is a part of the growth process. It is a test.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It is a test of your faith. How bad you
- 3:37Speaker 1: wanted do you really believe? That's That's all faith is.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It's simply, and I've said this how many times. Faith
- 3:48Speaker 1: is the belief in things that you cannot see. So
- 3:50Speaker 1: when discouragement comes, setbacks comes, it is a test of
- 3:56Speaker 1: your faith. At least it's been that way for me.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Now other people can explain it another way. I'm not
- 4:02Speaker 1: other people. I can only give it to you the
- 4:04Speaker 1: way it's come to me and throughout my life and
- 4:07Speaker 1: man on man on man. Discouragement sometimes it's tough to
- 4:11Speaker 1: deal with because it seems at times when you are
- 4:16Speaker 1: discouraged that is so absolute that this means the end.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And if you allow it to set in, it can
- 4:28Speaker 1: be just that the end of you. When Milly Milly,
- 4:32Speaker 1: it was a test, that's all it is. But the
- 4:37Speaker 1: majority of people that I know who are not successful
- 4:42Speaker 1: or who have told me the story of how they
- 4:44Speaker 1: gave up, it was it was because at a moment
- 4:47Speaker 1: of discouragement that they allowed it to set in, and
- 4:53Speaker 1: it became so engulfing that it became the reason why
- 4:58Speaker 1: you shouldn't finish. And then they started justifying it with
- 5:01Speaker 1: here the one that I hate to hear. Well, if
- 5:04Speaker 1: if it's God's will, excuse me, if it's God's will
- 5:08Speaker 1: that you fail. If it's God's will that you're not successful,
- 5:16Speaker 1: If it's God's will that you lay down and give up,
- 5:20Speaker 1: it's God's will that you allow yourself to amount to,
- 5:24Speaker 1: not to not reach your potential. That's God's will. That's
- 5:29Speaker 1: not the God I know. That's not the God I served,
- 5:33Speaker 1: That's not the God I've read about. That's not the
- 5:36Speaker 1: God I believe in. I'm sorry, I just my mother
- 5:40Speaker 1: always taught me something that he didn't bring me this
- 5:43Speaker 1: far to leave me. I just don't believe that. Not
- 5:48Speaker 1: for a second now have I convinced myself or some
- 5:53Speaker 1: things yell, Have I allowed the devil to come into
- 5:56Speaker 1: the picture and paint a different one from me? Yelled? Yep,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I've done all of that, But you can't blame that
- 6:04Speaker 1: on God. Now, come on, So when when discouragement comes,
- 6:12Speaker 1: try to look at it if you can, as a
- 6:14Speaker 1: test of your faith, and you merely have to pass
- 6:18Speaker 1: the test. It could be for a day, a half
- 6:22Speaker 1: a day, a few hours, a week, a few weeks,
- 6:24Speaker 1: it don't matter. Don't nobody know how long the test
- 6:27Speaker 1: period is. Your job is to keep the faith and
- 6:31Speaker 1: keep moving. Keep the faith and keep moving, keep working,
- 6:36Speaker 1: keep believing, keep hope alive. That's your job. If you
- 6:41Speaker 1: do that, that's how you pass the test. It could
- 6:45Speaker 1: be over tomorrow, it could be over in two weeks,
- 6:47Speaker 1: it could be over in a month. You don't know.
- 6:50Speaker 1: But all you got to do is wake up and
- 6:52Speaker 1: keep the faith and fight the discouraging feelings. And how
- 6:56Speaker 1: do you do that? Steve? Now here we go. This
- 6:58Speaker 1: is the part I know about for show because how
- 7:01Speaker 1: many times I've had to fight off discouragement in order
- 7:05Speaker 1: to get to where God wanted me to be. What
- 7:09Speaker 1: do you do when you become discouraged? Well, here's a
- 7:15Speaker 1: series of things. I do. I think of the outcome.
- 7:19Speaker 1: When I get discouraged about a task, I think about
- 7:22Speaker 1: the outcome. Man, what would it be like if I
- 7:25Speaker 1: were to complete the task? What would it be like? Man?
- 7:29Speaker 1: What would the outcome be for me? If I hung
- 7:31Speaker 1: on in there? If I didn't give up, if I
- 7:35Speaker 1: if I, if I imagine, I imagine if I don't quit,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I imagine if I don't give up. What would it
- 7:43Speaker 1: be like? Man, Suppose everything I'm hoping for comes true.
- 7:49Speaker 1: But if I don't quit and give up, that might
- 7:52Speaker 1: just be the case. I start talking to myself like that,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think of what the upside is? What's the upside
- 8:01Speaker 1: to stay in with it? You see, all this is
- 8:03Speaker 1: the same thing. I'm just giving you different ways to
- 8:06Speaker 1: look at it. I'm saying the exact same thing over
- 8:09Speaker 1: and over. But I'm just trying to find the switch
- 8:11Speaker 1: that connects in your mind where you can say, Okay, man,
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. Because if you think of
- 8:17Speaker 1: the outcome, and the outcome is appealing to you, if
- 8:21Speaker 1: you imagine what it would be like if you don't
- 8:23Speaker 1: give up, or you don't quit, if you if you
- 8:27Speaker 1: think only of what the upside is to stay in
- 8:30Speaker 1: with it, and then I I go, where can this
- 8:34Speaker 1: lead to? If I stay with it? Man, and the
- 8:38Speaker 1: outcome comes true? What else could that lead me to?
- 8:42Speaker 1: Because I mean, there's always more to it, So what
- 8:46Speaker 1: where else could this lead me to? What are the possibilities? Man?
- 8:51Speaker 1: What are the limitless possibilities? What could God possibly have
- 8:56Speaker 1: in store for me? If I just hang in there,
- 8:59Speaker 1: if I has this test of faith, if I just
- 9:03Speaker 1: passed this test, now, it ain't gonna be the only one.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But you gotta get past this one. No, then you're
- 9:08Speaker 1: gonna hear the smooth plane. Then it's gonna be another one.
- 9:12Speaker 1: It's gonna be another one. Life ain't nothing but a
- 9:14Speaker 1: series of tests, man, But you gain experience and knowledge
- 9:18Speaker 1: as you go through life, and it helps you with
- 9:20Speaker 1: the next test. You get better at testing, You get
- 9:25Speaker 1: better at testing. What's your true destiny? Think about that
- 9:34Speaker 1: when you think about giving up? What is your true destiny?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Don't you want to see what that is? Don't you
- 9:41Speaker 1: want to see what God really got for you? What
- 9:44Speaker 1: does God really have in store for you? If you
- 9:47Speaker 1: just passed the test, if you just hanging that, man,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and don't let the devil fool you. And don't let
- 9:53Speaker 1: that other force make you think that it's over, that
- 9:56Speaker 1: your time has come. That is not his will. God
- 10:00Speaker 1: deal in negativity. Man, See Bishop Omer taught me something.
- 10:05Speaker 1: The way you know that something has God's voice in it,
- 10:08Speaker 1: It has no sin in it. Quitting, giving up, laying down,
- 10:14Speaker 1: falling out for the count, letting go, losing your faith,
- 10:18Speaker 1: that ain't got nothing do with God. Man, when you're
- 10:25Speaker 1: thinking about giving up, when you discourage, think of the outcome.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Imagine what it would be like if you don't quit,
- 10:32Speaker 1: if you don't give up. What's the upside to stay
- 10:35Speaker 1: in with it? Where can this all lead to? What?
- 10:39Speaker 1: What can this get you too? If if you do
- 10:42Speaker 1: this and you get to where you think you want
- 10:44Speaker 1: to be, Oh my God, what's after that? What are
- 10:48Speaker 1: the limitless and endless possibilities of holding onto your faith?
- 10:54Speaker 1: What could really be out there for me? Man? If
- 10:56Speaker 1: I just passed this test? You gotta talk yourself in
- 11:00Speaker 1: the hanging in there. And sometimes it ain't nobody talking
- 11:03Speaker 1: to you about hanging in there but you. But that's
- 11:06Speaker 1: good enough because God has a blessing for you. God's
- 11:11Speaker 1: got a blessing with your name on it. God has
- 11:15Speaker 1: packages bundled up with your name on it. He got
- 11:19Speaker 1: blessings just in boxes with your name on it. Man,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I want all of mine shipped. I'll be on Faith
- 11:28Speaker 1: Street waiting there to receive. I just I'm just believing
- 11:33Speaker 1: he's shipping stuff. But if you keep moving from the
- 11:36Speaker 1: address of Faith, if you keep getting off Faith Street
- 11:39Speaker 1: where you want the packages to go, they got your
- 11:42Speaker 1: name on it and it's based on your faith. But
- 11:45Speaker 1: if you keep moving on Doubt Avenue and ain't no
- 11:48Speaker 1: way Boulevard and the patage get delivered only the Faith
- 11:51Speaker 1: Street what you keep moving on Faith Street for? Come on, man,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you can't give up. You can't give us. You're listening
- 11:59Speaker 1: Morning Show eighteen minutes after the hour. Welcome to the ride.
- 12:07Speaker 1: It is just Steve Harby Morning Show, and it is
- 12:10Speaker 1: the voice of the nephew holding it down. My uncle
- 12:13Speaker 1: will be as shortly working on some coffee or some
- 12:17Speaker 1: tea or something of that nature. But he'll be here momentarily.

- 14:08Speaker 1: You know we're not appreciating. Yeah, we're sitting them on greatness.
- 14:21Speaker 1: We're looking at you differently. I didn't do much. I
- 14:25Speaker 1: didn't do too much. Just um just chilled, yeah, just
- 14:28Speaker 1: kind of chilled, hung out with some friends, you know, dinner,
- 14:31Speaker 1: stuff like that. But I didn't do too much. I
- 14:33Speaker 1: just wanted to relax because we've been going pretty hard lately,
- 14:37Speaker 1: and I just wanted to chill, you know. And that's
- 14:39Speaker 1: what I did. And I'm happy. I'll tell you happy.
- 14:44Speaker 1: What my kids have? I hid my chains. Yeah, my
- 14:52Speaker 1: kids right there, they're trying to figure out why. They
- 14:58Speaker 1: telling you you embarrass your children no matter, no matter
- 15:02Speaker 1: what you do, just being Remember the chill leading moment
- 15:06Speaker 1: I told you all about. You can tell us again.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Oh man, something. I take my little girl to this
- 15:11Speaker 1: Chilean event, and you know, I'm thinking, all right, let
- 15:16Speaker 1: me let me go get a bottle of water from
- 15:18Speaker 1: the concession stand. My little girl out there in the heat,
- 15:21Speaker 1: and so I come stand over by the fence, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: which is close with the cheerleaders are at. But most
- 15:27Speaker 1: of the parents are up in the stands and my
- 15:29Speaker 1: little girl. You want to talk about the father guy,
- 15:31Speaker 1: his feelings hurt. My little girl walks over to me.
- 15:34Speaker 1: What are you doing here? I said, I said exactly,
- 15:40Speaker 1: And I say, I'm i'm I brought you some water
- 15:42Speaker 1: because in case you needed some. Um. You need to
- 15:45Speaker 1: be in the stands where the other parents are beat
- 15:48Speaker 1: it and you want to you want to talk about
- 15:52Speaker 1: a long walk to the stands feelings. And then I
- 15:56Speaker 1: got and then I got to the stands and this
- 15:58Speaker 1: guy he sitting up there had up beings down there.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Huh not. Yeah, you might want to sit right here
- 16:07Speaker 1: until your call for It's like right now at this stage,
- 16:11Speaker 1: no matter what you do, it's an embarrassment to them.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Don't do anything out of line. And here you don't
- 16:17Speaker 1: know this, junior, because you don't have children. But when
- 16:20Speaker 1: they get a certain age, just you know, fade in
- 16:23Speaker 1: the background or something, because they you will get your
- 16:26Speaker 1: feelings hurt and they will embarrass you. And you're gonna
- 16:29Speaker 1: you're gonna do something. Yes, you're gonna do something that's
- 16:32Speaker 1: gonna that's like just totally out of line. Yeah, and
- 16:35Speaker 1: they're gonna be looking at you like, Oh, as soon
- 16:38Speaker 1: as these people leave, I'm going to tell you about yourself.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And don't dance, don't try to be hip, don't try
- 16:44Speaker 1: to use lang. Oh, don't try to drop and do
- 16:49Speaker 1: the kawn, none of that, because I try to do
- 16:53Speaker 1: all you no matter what you do, you will My
- 16:58Speaker 1: little girl smart too, she know where the money coming from.
- 17:00Speaker 1: She's like, what are you doing playing on a hufferboard?
- 17:03Speaker 1: You're too old for this, and we're gonna be six
- 17:10Speaker 1: months trying to get you back together. Not six months
- 17:16Speaker 1: could take those old bones to hell. She's done the research.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Let me tell you all this though, junior. It's not
- 17:23Speaker 1: just the embarrassment. It's helping with homework. So, yeah, am
- 17:28Speaker 1: I smarter than a third grader? Apparently not? Because I
- 17:32Speaker 1: tried to help my daughter with her whole work. So
- 17:35Speaker 1: she had like a test, right, So I picked her
- 17:38Speaker 1: up from school. I said, uh so, how did you
- 17:40Speaker 1: do in your tests? Well, Mom, since you didn't know
- 17:45Speaker 1: three of those answers, I did, okay. But but this
- 17:50Speaker 1: is the kicker. But it's okay because you just didn't
- 17:53Speaker 1: know you my mom? Back on me. Let me my minute.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Let let me see how y'all handle him. Go ahead,
- 18:05Speaker 1: ten minutes after the hour, like twenty four. I've been
- 18:11Speaker 1: trying to say the time, like you've been here, welcome sir.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Turn him up in my headsets jay z H brain
- 18:23Speaker 1: the beat in two three, Hey, the show must go
- 18:29Speaker 1: on talking about key It's must go on, good morning, sir, Yes, yes,
- 18:35Speaker 1: it goes and he got some keys. Yeah, yeah, what's happening?
- 18:40Speaker 1: I don't even know? Are you still in bed? I
- 18:46Speaker 1: wish I was. That's the problem. I woke up this morning.
- 18:53Speaker 1: All I did was sit up in the bed and
- 18:55Speaker 1: starts screaming you what do you mean screaming? Did you
- 19:01Speaker 1: have a nightmare? But I realized, what that's the clock?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Scream You ain't no way. But remember when we used
- 19:14Speaker 1: to have those dreams all the time. Do you guys
- 19:15Speaker 1: still have those dreams? I have them every now and again,
- 19:19Speaker 1: those dreams where you sleep, you oversleep, you wake up,
- 19:22Speaker 1: it's like nighttime and stuff all over again. You've totally
- 19:25Speaker 1: completely missed the show. Oh no, I did it in
- 19:28Speaker 1: New York. But I actually went downstairs dressed in the
- 19:31Speaker 1: doorman said, Mr Miles, you're going out tonight. I said, no,
- 19:35Speaker 1: what time is it? Man? He said, it's it's seven
- 19:38Speaker 1: in the evening. Let's don't don't. That's a scary, stressful
- 19:48Speaker 1: feeling right now this morning, and new right away? What
- 19:51Speaker 1: was wrong? All right, we're gonna find out about Steve's morning,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and Steve something funny when we come back at thirty
- 19:56Speaker 1: four after the hour. You're listening, all right, it's Jr.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Coming up. We have some little known Black history facts.
- 20:07Speaker 1: We'll get to that right after this. Steve gave you
- 20:14Speaker 1: a break. Huh is it tomorrow? It's right now? Where?
- 20:29Speaker 1: All right? It's that time, Steve. Ladies and gentlemen, here
- 20:34Speaker 1: we all addition Lou for Lou for known Black history more.
- 20:44Speaker 1: We've changed it because I am now Rayles now Rafles Jackson,
- 20:50Speaker 1: the first public commentator to be given the microphone again
- 21:00Speaker 1: in my career, back right fal slavery, right ful slavery,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and that I don't like to discuss my age because
- 21:11Speaker 1: of those people offer. They don't focus on the lesson. Well,
- 21:15Speaker 1: the bald head certainly makes you look younger like they
- 21:18Speaker 1: used to do. Black your eyes make you look good,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Thank you, and I got them at you. Thank you.
- 21:28Speaker 1: So here we are first in egral day, Oh Black
- 21:36Speaker 1: History moth, and I'm here to introduce little known Black
- 21:43Speaker 1: hiftory moments. Turned it up. It's easy to tear up
- 21:51Speaker 1: the language. When they took yours, I never told mine,
- 21:57Speaker 1: but they had taken mind due to slavery and separated
- 22:02Speaker 1: me from several of the people that I had come
- 22:05Speaker 1: over here with. Can you read? Yes, I can't who
- 22:09Speaker 1: you're gonna get in trouble. Yes, I can't. It just
- 22:13Speaker 1: got deep in. Yeah. I learned to read because I
- 22:17Speaker 1: was the one that drove the little white boy to
- 22:19Speaker 1: school every day, and I took his book and said,
- 22:25Speaker 1: shut your punk a. Can we hear a factor a little?
- 22:30Speaker 1: Now here's a fact, ladies and gentlemen. Jor yeah, thank you.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Let me explain how you became known as junior one minute. Well,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't have time to explain it. Then here he
- 22:43Speaker 1: goes J. Well, thank you. Um, listen to me. LC
- 22:48Speaker 1: Collins back in eight was a swindler who he had
- 22:55Speaker 1: to be a swell of defeat his family. Well, ELC
- 22:59Speaker 1: got some chicken his own credit. Okay, now he didn't
- 23:03Speaker 1: have the money. Now when the bill came, the people
- 23:06Speaker 1: came and said we're looking for c. Al College, which
- 23:10Speaker 1: was L. C Son who was ten years old after
- 23:14Speaker 1: playing with the chickens, and he said, what do you
- 23:16Speaker 1: want with me for? He said, we come to collect
- 23:19Speaker 1: the money for the chickens, which we have found out
- 23:22Speaker 1: now that C. L. College was the first child to
- 23:25Speaker 1: have a bill in his name. He was the first
- 23:30Speaker 1: one that was all some chickens. It wasn't before, but
- 23:33Speaker 1: the people had wanted their money, and that started a
- 23:37Speaker 1: long history what we now know of children who had

- 31:45Speaker 1: you one more thing. Man, what is the baddest and
- 31:48Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the Latin Steve
- 31:51Speaker 1: Harvest Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 31:57Speaker 1: All right, Steve, she is here, Please introduced, ladies and gentlemen,
- 32:01Speaker 1: the nobody Miss Ain Trill. Yes, thank you. Good morning,
- 32:06Speaker 1: everybody to work Shirley College. Tommy Junior, Good morning everybody
- 32:09Speaker 1: out there. This is a trip with the news, well,
- 32:11Speaker 1: protests and cities all over the country yesterday held Not
- 32:14Speaker 1: My President's Day rallies, chanting things like no band, no wall,
- 32:18Speaker 1: the Trump regime has to fall. President's Day marches began
- 32:22Speaker 1: at noon and several municipals yet they were signs and everything.
- 32:25Speaker 1: In New York City, marches made their way to Trump
- 32:27Speaker 1: Tower on Fifth Avenue, and there were similar rallies in
- 32:30Speaker 1: the Chicago, Washington, d C, Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and
- 32:34Speaker 1: several other cities yesterday for President's Day. The Congressional Black Hawkers,
- 32:39Speaker 1: speaking of presidents, says it will meet with President Trump
- 32:41Speaker 1: after all that. According to the CBC's Congression Congressman Elijah Cumming,
- 32:45Speaker 1: congres Black Hawkers wrote him on January the nineteen, He
- 32:49Speaker 1: never answered the letter until a day or so ago.
- 32:52Speaker 1: But they have laid out an agenda where they'll be
- 32:55Speaker 1: meeting with him and trying to resolve some some urban
- 32:58Speaker 1: issues and issues throughout the count it. I got kids
- 33:00Speaker 1: have got to have schooling, I've got people who need
- 33:02Speaker 1: medical care, and I've got to work with him. One
- 33:04Speaker 1: of the things that I can like, where our values clash,
- 33:07Speaker 1: we'll have to go tote top period. Ralan Democrat, was
- 33:10Speaker 1: on the CBC's CBSS face the nation and says he
- 33:14Speaker 1: thinks the meeting will take place when the Congress returns
- 33:16Speaker 1: from its recess. Will she'll be next week? A thoughts
- 33:18Speaker 1: in Chicago have charged a twenty six year old suspect
- 33:20Speaker 1: with the murders of a man and his two year
- 33:22Speaker 1: old nephew after their deaths were inadvertently broadcast on Facebook
- 33:26Speaker 1: Live and new folks know about this. Devon Swan accused
- 33:29Speaker 1: of shooting Lazack Collins and little Lavante White in the
- 33:32Speaker 1: head as they drove by him. According to the Chicago Tribune,
- 33:35Speaker 1: Cops say that the uncle was a gang member and
- 33:37Speaker 1: was targeted intentionally. Lazareck Collins's girlfriend is four months pregnant.
- 33:41Speaker 1: She was in the car. She was wounded, but as
- 33:43Speaker 1: listed in fair condition, and her unborn child also survived. Meanwhile,
- 33:47Speaker 1: other arrests are expected in this awful case. Good news
- 33:50Speaker 1: for Jacksonville, Florida mother named Marissa Alexander. She's now free.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Miss Alexander. You may remember she spent almost a half
- 33:56Speaker 1: a dozen years either locked up or confined in her
- 33:59Speaker 1: house because she she was a convictive aggravated assault for
- 34:03Speaker 1: firing a warning shot at her husband, who she says
- 34:05Speaker 1: was abusing her and threatening her. Remember that the bullet
- 34:08Speaker 1: didn't hit him or anything, and hit a wall. Meanwhile,
- 34:11Speaker 1: she had to go to prison. MS Alexander now plans
- 34:13Speaker 1: to take up the fight for domestic abuse victims and
- 34:15Speaker 1: push for a change and what advocates say has been
- 34:18Speaker 1: the uneven application of Florida's stand your ground law. And
- 34:22Speaker 1: she didn't hit anybody, and she said she was standing
- 34:25Speaker 1: her ground. Oh. Finally, the most trending item on it
- 34:29Speaker 1: really is horrible. Finally, the most trending item on Twitter
- 34:32Speaker 1: after the NBA All Star Game this weekend was something
- 34:34Speaker 1: that the Cavaliers Kyrie Irving said during a podcast. He
- 34:38Speaker 1: said that he thought the world was flat. So a
- 34:41Speaker 1: reporter asked him about it. He seemed to stand by
- 34:43Speaker 1: the statement. Research man, and uh, you know, hopefully though
- 34:48Speaker 1: either backed my belief or kind of throw it in
- 34:50Speaker 1: the water. Um, I think, but I think it's interesting
- 34:52Speaker 1: to you will find on the planet the right like
- 34:56Speaker 1: it's a circle. So I've seen a lot of things
- 34:59Speaker 1: that have been that my educationals sistance, he said that
- 35:03Speaker 1: was real, I turned out to be completely things. Yeah, Now,
- 35:06Speaker 1: after repeating repeatedly asked about it. That's great because people
- 35:11Speaker 1: kept saying, come on, I know you're kidding. You gotta
- 35:13Speaker 1: be kidding. He still sounded like he well, he might
- 35:16Speaker 1: have been stirring of conversation, but I can't you decide
- 35:18Speaker 1: the fact that a social phenomenon how every thinks the
- 35:21Speaker 1: world is flast hilarious. I mean don't really. It doesn't
- 35:24Speaker 1: really have a you know, a relealence over my life.
- 35:27Speaker 1: And you know, I just feel like that the fact
- 35:29Speaker 1: that it's even a conversation it is hilarious. Like there's
- 35:31Speaker 1: some we gots like relevant relevant questions what's going on
- 35:34Speaker 1: in the world, like what's really going but what I
- 35:36Speaker 1: really believe or you know, who I really am, that
- 35:38Speaker 1: that'd be nice. But the fact that that's what everyone
- 35:40Speaker 1: got out of the podcast, that's you know, that's hilarious
- 35:42Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, it was hilarious to other people. Really,
- 35:47Speaker 1: I mean it makes no sense. I mean, what asking
- 35:50Speaker 1: what's going on? They asked it. You know, haven't you
- 35:55Speaker 1: ever seen a picture of the next stuff for mats?
- 36:00Speaker 1: And why hasn't he fallen off? I know exactly what
- 36:04Speaker 1: he said. We need to check our facts and whatever now,
- 36:09Speaker 1: But you know what that's just the world we live
- 36:11Speaker 1: in today. A podcast, the snap chat, the blogs, we
- 36:19Speaker 1: actually care about stuff that's on that. If you're sitting
- 36:22Speaker 1: up here, we for us to even be talking about it. Yeah,
- 36:26Speaker 1: that's pretty stupid, though, from the expert, I'm sorry missaying,
- 36:33Speaker 1: hold on, what did you just say? Tommy? That was
- 36:36Speaker 1: pretty stupid right there now, he made a hell of
- 36:39Speaker 1: a stupid statement. That was pretty stupid. Wow, when you
- 36:44Speaker 1: didn't out done me own stupid, you feel smart? You
- 36:47Speaker 1: feel smart now, genius, genius. Wow, you're shaking your hands.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Said that was pretty stupid. Yeah, yeah, if I must
- 37:04Speaker 1: say so muchself. What time is it? Let me see,
- 37:08Speaker 1: it's seven o nine Eastern time on on Monday Tuesday.
- 37:14Speaker 1: That's two oh, that's right, one, seven on nine on
- 37:20Speaker 1: the one Tuesday. Tommy said that the Kyrie Urban statement
- 37:27Speaker 1: on podcast was pretty stupid. I won't make note of that, folks,
- 37:33Speaker 1: why because that's pretty profound. Were one of the stupidest
- 37:36Speaker 1: people I know? Without questions? Yeah, you ain't never hear
- 37:41Speaker 1: me saying nothing. That's stupid though. That was pretty stupid.
- 37:42Speaker 1: You guys, No, no, oh, you've topped it. Just yours
- 37:46Speaker 1: coll me such regularity mine is what the hell is
- 37:49Speaker 1: Kyrie talking about? Yours is Tommy? What one more time, Steven,
- 37:54Speaker 1: so we could be clear, uh seven o nine on
- 37:59Speaker 1: this Tuesday, on the twenty, tom It made a statement.
- 38:04Speaker 1: It's something that's really stupid, judge. You know the fact
- 38:11Speaker 1: that he has judged it solidified how stupid it is. Yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 1: but you know what on the real for us to even,
- 38:19Speaker 1: like you say, to even be talking about it, we
- 38:21Speaker 1: got we got major stuff going on, man, major stuff
- 38:25Speaker 1: going on. Yeah, we got a president. Ain't got a clue.
- 38:28Speaker 1: We got a lot to be worried about. Well, he's
- 38:32Speaker 1: definitely non presidential man, he's a business guy. But this
- 38:35Speaker 1: is who they voted for. And we can kill the
- 38:38Speaker 1: surprise because he did. He ain't doing nothing. He say,
- 38:43Speaker 1: what's gonna do? Man? We sent a bit just as surprise,
- 38:50Speaker 1: like a black carcus said, you know, we gotta get
- 38:52Speaker 1: some help over here and here. And then after that
- 38:54Speaker 1: the stuff that they have different value of conflicts on.
- 38:58Speaker 1: He gonna they're gonna go toe to toe about to
- 39:00Speaker 1: but they're going need to talk about what they can
- 39:02Speaker 1: get out to deal who the most eagnorant here my, Kyrie?
- 39:07Speaker 1: You well and Kyrie from Cleveland, What is wrong with you?
- 39:12Speaker 1: Cleveland Kyrie playing Cleve Butterfly standing by? Thank you to say,
- 39:20Speaker 1: waiting in the wings with the Butterfly Blog. We'll be
- 39:22Speaker 1: back at eighteen after you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 39:26Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, the butterfly waiting in the wings.
- 39:30Speaker 1: He's standing by with his Butterfly blog. Um went to
- 39:35Speaker 1: the All Star Game. I don't know what he's gonna
- 39:36Speaker 1: talk about today. I can't even get you the lue.
- 39:41Speaker 1: What with Junior and Tommy on Star? Oh yeah he
- 39:46Speaker 1: did that? Oh my god. Good morning everyone, Steven, Tommy, Charlotte, Carlo,
- 39:54Speaker 1: jul You, good morning, good morning, and good morning to

- 40:27Speaker 1: you everyone in Portsmouth, Virginia for coming out and I
- 40:30Speaker 1: know you enjoyed me. Thoroughly. I know you did, and
- 40:33Speaker 1: I enjoyed you all as well. It's such a pleasure.
- 40:38Speaker 1: And the boys did good too. They was killed anyway, Um,
- 40:43Speaker 1: you prove lady and they did good and Junior closed
- 40:47Speaker 1: the show. So Junior you did the dig and thinking
- 40:49Speaker 1: at the end you did very very good funny it's
- 40:54Speaker 1: that Junior, Steve. I'm just trying to don't keep the
- 40:58Speaker 1: show moving. So here's the log. The blog is the Oscars.
- 41:02Speaker 1: And you know I'm really getting back into, you know,
- 41:05Speaker 1: making clouds. So Stephen, I'm gonna need some connections with you.
- 41:08Speaker 1: First of all, I want to go to the Oscar,
- 41:09Speaker 1: so I need you to make that phone call. Secondly,
- 41:12Speaker 1: the Sunday, m M, he can make a call. Today

- 41:18Speaker 1: here's what I want. Yes, I don't want to stand
- 41:21Speaker 1: in the bay. Um. I would like for you to
- 41:24Speaker 1: help me with UM like ms Um Miss Viola Davis.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I would like to make her outfit for the Oscars.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Go to the top, baby, okay. And then of course

- 41:50Speaker 1: taxed though, because you know he's nominated for Best Actor,
- 41:54Speaker 1: so I want him to be on stage receiving his
- 41:56Speaker 1: award in my sial. So he'll say, he'll say, really
- 42:00Speaker 1: asking what he's wearing. He's wearing Eugene Ferguson on the
- 42:05Speaker 1: red carpet carpet and he said, what are you wearing today?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Didn't say all and he gonna. You know, he's gonna

- 46:24Speaker 1: a foolishness. This is foolishness. Maybe yeah, maybe Chris is
- 46:30Speaker 1: no longer interested in fighting, it says, or the money
- 46:32Speaker 1: in the contract wasn't enough all, or maybe soldiers just
- 46:36Speaker 1: trying to keep this going because he needs the money
- 46:39Speaker 1: for his attorney fees. Either way, it's like, huh, don't
- 46:44Speaker 1: he wait nine? How much training video was imprisonment? Oh

- 48:09Speaker 1: So it's gonna be Mike Tyson against Evander Holyfield again.
- 48:13Speaker 1: So what you do is you you get rid of
- 48:16Speaker 1: the greatest pound per pound fighter. I love holy Field,
- 48:20Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong. He got championship quality. But you think
- 48:26Speaker 1: it's the trainer. You think hold you think the reason
- 48:36Speaker 1: you ain't punching hard enough, there's causing Floyd. Man, Let's
- 48:42Speaker 1: hope there's a bad joke. Let's hope this one. No.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I like all the old names. He's going to get though.

- 49:00Speaker 1: too busy their interests. Yeah that's true. Yeah, that's your
- 49:05Speaker 1: true statement. I don't even know nothing about this, but
- 49:09Speaker 1: that statement is true. Floyd is busy. You know why?
- 49:13Speaker 1: Called Floyd got a lot of money. Floyd got a
- 49:17Speaker 1: lot of real estate. Man, he looked like Jimmy Walker.
- 49:20Speaker 1: It's like this ain't good. Hey man, where man to
- 49:31Speaker 1: talk to? Soldier Boy? Maximum Scuto? Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 49:45Speaker 1: to this is she Hi Carmen, My name is Keith.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Keep from calling you from the insurance group. Hi. How
- 49:53Speaker 1: are you good? You and your husband? Uh? What is it? Harvey? Harvey?
- 49:58Speaker 1: Is that right? Yes? Yes? Sorry? Okay, you guys actually
- 50:01Speaker 1: put applications and actually win in and get your physicals
- 50:04Speaker 1: done for life for insurance, right? Yeah, yeah, that's correct. Okay,
- 50:07Speaker 1: I actually I'm calling you from the insurance group. I
- 50:10Speaker 1: have you alls, lab results and everything as far as
- 50:13Speaker 1: your physicals and blood tests and things of that nature.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Is there any way I could possibly talk to both
- 50:19Speaker 1: of you guys at the same time, you and Harvey.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Is that possible? Um? Well, sure, he's right now, but
- 50:25Speaker 1: I can get him on the phone. Okay, it will
- 50:27Speaker 1: be Uh it would be kind of easy if I
- 50:29Speaker 1: kind of explained everything to both of you guys at
- 50:30Speaker 1: the same time. Is that if that's okay? Okay? Some wrong? Uh? No,
- 50:35Speaker 1: nothing's wrong. I mean I think I need to just
- 50:36Speaker 1: try to bring a few things that you guys attention.
- 50:38Speaker 1: But I think you know, after that, it's pretty much
- 50:40Speaker 1: you guys decision on what you do. But I just
- 50:42Speaker 1: wanted to let you know a few things about you know,
- 50:44Speaker 1: the results and things of that nature, your life, insurance,
- 50:47Speaker 1: the whole nine yards. Okay, okay, well here, let me
- 50:50Speaker 1: stop talking to them on the phone. Hello, Hey, babe, Hey, sweetheart.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Um look, got the insurance people on the line. They
- 51:01Speaker 1: want to get both of us on the phone, uh,
- 51:04Speaker 1: to talk to us about the insurance stuff. Hey, Harvey,
- 51:08Speaker 1: are you doing this is keep keep from the insurance group?
- 51:11Speaker 1: How are you? Hey? Good with that? Nicky? Good? Good? Listen, Um,
- 51:15Speaker 1: I wanted to give you guys a call and kind
- 51:16Speaker 1: of follow up. And you guys did physicals and blood
- 51:19Speaker 1: tests and the whole nine yards, and I wanted to
- 51:21Speaker 1: give you guys a call. It's kind of better if
- 51:22Speaker 1: I talked to both of you guys at the same time.
- 51:25Speaker 1: So if you have a minute that we could actually
- 51:26Speaker 1: use to kind of get some of this information out
- 51:29Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm gonna break
- 51:31Speaker 1: right now. I'm good. Okay, great. First of all, we've
- 51:33Speaker 1: gotten all your your lab results back everything, and I
- 51:36Speaker 1: kind of got a few questions for you guys that
- 51:39Speaker 1: I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you guys
- 51:42Speaker 1: actually been married. We've been again about three years, okay, now,
- 51:46Speaker 1: prior to being married three years. How long did you
- 51:49Speaker 1: guys know each other before you got married? About five
- 51:53Speaker 1: and a half five six kids? Okay, you guys have
- 51:56Speaker 1: been knowing each other pretty close to nine years now
- 51:59Speaker 1: all together. Yeah, okay, are you actually from the same hometowns?
- 52:02Speaker 1: You grew up in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 52:06Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 52:09Speaker 1: this question I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 52:12Speaker 1: I mean there's a few things that's that's actually uh puzzling, Carmen,
- 52:17Speaker 1: that we need to this this this is some news
- 52:21Speaker 1: that I actually didn't want to bring you, guys. I
- 52:23Speaker 1: mean we have to. I have to actually give you
- 52:26Speaker 1: this news. Looking at our records, looking at all the
- 52:28Speaker 1: test results, and let me be the person to tell
- 52:30Speaker 1: you that we run these results over and over and over,
- 52:33Speaker 1: trying to make sure we are completely a hundred and right. Okay,
- 52:38Speaker 1: it's a problem with the test. Well, looking at our
- 52:40Speaker 1: test guys, Harvey Carmen, it's indicating that you guys are related,
- 52:47Speaker 1: and nine times out it's and you are you guys
- 52:49Speaker 1: are siblings? Hold man, what and I understand the shot
- 52:59Speaker 1: it took me? Is there everything? I had to make
- 53:01Speaker 1: this phone call. I did not want to make it.
- 53:03Speaker 1: But looking at our records, and we went over these
- 53:05Speaker 1: records over and over and and and the blow work
- 53:09Speaker 1: shows us that you guys are actually siblings. Man, kid,
- 53:18Speaker 1: are you serious? Actually this is not that This is
- 53:23Speaker 1: not a laughing matter, not a joking matter. You know,
- 53:26Speaker 1: Like I said, I did not want to call with
- 53:28Speaker 1: this information. What you did make the call? Man? Look,
- 53:33Speaker 1: I don't know what you need to go back and
- 53:36Speaker 1: and and double check your records or something, because we've
- 53:39Speaker 1: been married three brief check with the lab man, can
- 53:43Speaker 1: you check with the laugh and like Paula is back,
- 53:46Speaker 1: Harvey and I and I knew those questions would have
- 53:49Speaker 1: come up, and we we went over it. We went
- 53:51Speaker 1: over it and over and over it. Y'all need to
- 53:54Speaker 1: go over again because I don't make no babe, I
- 53:58Speaker 1: got this. You make call and this gotta be wrong.
- 54:02Speaker 1: So what you need to do is make another call
- 54:05Speaker 1: it called a lab and call us back and let
- 54:07Speaker 1: us know that you either thought they made a mistake
- 54:10Speaker 1: or are you talking about me and my wife? And
- 54:13Speaker 1: I understanding hard Harry. Let me ask you this is
- 54:15Speaker 1: it possible, you know? And this is just a question.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Is it possible that your dad and maybe her mom
- 54:21Speaker 1: maybe knew each other at some point? And what you're
- 54:25Speaker 1: saying by my mom and dad, that's some straight look
- 54:29Speaker 1: at You need to have go back and do whatever
- 54:31Speaker 1: you need to do. But I think you mu you
- 54:33Speaker 1: say something like that again. I tell you my back's
- 54:35Speaker 1: gonna be coming down that beach o. I'm saying that
- 54:38Speaker 1: like that, hold on, baby, old baby, baby, baby, hold
- 54:41Speaker 1: on baby, I got this hold on, I got baby,
- 54:44Speaker 1: I gotta baby. I gotta how you're gonna call me
- 54:47Speaker 1: with you what you don't know you from? People do
- 54:51Speaker 1: like that, but that ain't I don't under doing, sir.
- 54:53Speaker 1: It's bringing you the result. So I do should bring
- 54:55Speaker 1: me the results in personally and that I want you.
- 54:58Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Hey, sir, even if you
- 55:01Speaker 1: beat the messenger at the end of the day, that's
- 55:03Speaker 1: still your sister. At the end of the day, I'm
- 55:05Speaker 1: gonna want you. Look, I don't care what he's talking about. Nothing.
- 55:08Speaker 1: He ain't my damn brother. I got it. I'm gonna
- 55:11Speaker 1: find out off whatever jupical you in. You're gonna call
- 55:15Speaker 1: me tilling about brother. It's my wife. I am having
- 55:19Speaker 1: that somewhere down the line. Somebody made a mistake and
- 55:22Speaker 1: you guys, my brother and sister got married. I'm not
- 55:25Speaker 1: at far for that. Let me tell you that don
- 55:27Speaker 1: shoot me mistake of calling. He's on one of these
- 55:29Speaker 1: numbers again in your life. So I got one of
- 55:32Speaker 1: this result. I do need to get about what you've
- 55:37Speaker 1: been talking about them. Well else you got to say.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Now that's gonna be working. The only other touch resought
- 55:42Speaker 1: I have, ma'am, is that this is nephew taught me
- 55:45Speaker 1: from the Steve Harby Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 55:47Speaker 1: by your girlfriend. H I told you like I want
- 55:59Speaker 1: to were I got one thing. I got the hands
- 56:06Speaker 1: both of y'all. What is the baddest and I'm talking
- 56:08Speaker 1: about the baddest radio show in the land. Harvey. You're
- 56:15Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show with you. That's
- 56:28Speaker 1: another view. Great, buggle up, hold on tight, we got
- 56:36Speaker 1: it for you here. It is Strawberry letter, subject three
- 56:40Speaker 1: way a love affair, Dear Stephen Shirley. Yes, not what
- 56:44Speaker 1: you think, Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a forty year
- 56:46Speaker 1: old woman who has been seeing three different men for
- 56:50Speaker 1: some time now. One lives with me, and honestly I
- 56:54Speaker 1: care about him, but he really can't support us like
- 56:57Speaker 1: a man as supposed to. He is forty nine, nice looking,
- 57:01Speaker 1: no driver's license, no drive or ambition, and he is
- 57:04Speaker 1: four baby mamas. He really is a nice guy. His
- 57:08Speaker 1: sex game is bananas. He has called me out of
- 57:12Speaker 1: my name and he threatened to hit me, but he
- 57:15Speaker 1: has never put his hands on me. The second guy
- 57:18Speaker 1: lives in Arizona. And he treats me like a queen.
- 57:21Speaker 1: He buys me Gibbs, took me to a wife for
- 57:23Speaker 1: my fortieth birthday, shows me respect, and even send my
- 57:28Speaker 1: mother flowers. He is the real deal and I honestly
- 57:31Speaker 1: love him too, But there are some things that I
- 57:34Speaker 1: can't stand about him. He is arrogant as heck, and
- 57:38Speaker 1: he thinks he knows and he thinks he knows it all.
- 57:43Speaker 1: He is not that attractive, and his sex is horrible.
- 57:46Speaker 1: The lurd guy is the one that I am crazy
- 57:49Speaker 1: in love with, and honestly I don't know why he
- 57:53Speaker 1: was married. When we first got together, he lied and
- 57:56Speaker 1: told me that they were separated and living in separate houses.
- 57:59Speaker 1: I later found out that was alive. We never go
- 58:03Speaker 1: anywhere and he has only bought me one thing. Now.
- 58:07Speaker 1: This man is gorgeous, tall, dark, and he loves his
- 58:11Speaker 1: kids as well. He has a good job, and we
- 58:14Speaker 1: used to have fun together. He kept telling me that
- 58:17Speaker 1: he was going to get a divorce. Well guess what,
- 58:21Speaker 1: his wife died and we still are not together. I
- 58:25Speaker 1: honestly think he has someone else. I know I sound
- 58:28Speaker 1: dumb as heck now that really does say heck to
- 58:31Speaker 1: even be dealing with these men. I know I need
- 58:33Speaker 1: to clean my slate and just be single. I really
- 58:36Speaker 1: need someone else's insight. Surely, what's your advice? You sound
- 58:40Speaker 1: like the builder there story. Yeah, but she Steve and
- 58:47Speaker 1: Shirley at do I do this when they say Steve, No,
- 58:55Speaker 1: I do not. Okay, I'm sorry, all right. You sound
- 58:59Speaker 1: like the build a Bear store? Remember those they still
- 59:02Speaker 1: have them? Well, I mean with these three different men,
- 59:12Speaker 1: these three different relationships. Okay, one is good sex, you say, uh,
- 59:16Speaker 1: but but no driver ambition, and he is for baby mamas.
- 59:20Speaker 1: You live with him. The second guy very generous, but
- 59:24Speaker 1: ugly and arrogant with horrible sex. The third guy is
- 59:28Speaker 1: a handsome widower with a good job, but probably has
- 59:31Speaker 1: someone else on the side because he didn't even try
- 59:34Speaker 1: to get with you after his first wife's passing. After
- 59:37Speaker 1: his wife's passing, you said it, Yes, you need to
- 59:40Speaker 1: clean your slate and just be single for a while.
- 59:43Speaker 1: In other words, you need to take a seat. You
- 59:45Speaker 1: need to have a seat for a while and stop
- 59:48Speaker 1: being in these desperate relationships with these men who obviously
- 59:52Speaker 1: don't think enough of you and they're not even qualified
- 59:55Speaker 1: to step up and be with you. Full time. You're
- 59:59Speaker 1: all over the play in in these relationships. In this letter,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you're you're with too many men, doing too many things.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: You're here, you're there, you're everywhere. Just have a seat,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: sit down, work on you and and try to figure
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: out why you have a need to have all these men.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Why don't you just have one good relationship? Um, I
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: just don't think you need to be in a relationship
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: at all, and you don't think so either, because you
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: said it. You need to clean your slate and just
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: be single. Think about what you're doing and what you
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: want and a man and what you can offer and
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: what he'll bring to you. That's what it is, Steve. Well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: now we're at the end. So since you said your
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: advice for Shirley here, what I'm gonna do? We come back?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Ain't no damn. So it's just me and you cause
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: here there won't on case Steve. And you just said
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I need some insight, Shirley. What's your advice? Oh you
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: all want Steve? Yeah, Well that's what you don't get
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: cause that's just Steve show. Right, we'll be back at
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: eighteen after you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: we go. We're in the middle of the Strawberry Letter,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Part two. Uh, coming up, it'll be all Steve three
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: way love affairs. Yeah, because you know why and you
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: know why we got to do it like this today.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: And I want to ask you about to beg my
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: pardon because that all this letter. Then at the end
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I really see needs something else's in someone else's insight.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Surely what's your advice? So dude, I get upset when
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: they say Steve, I need to hear from you? Do
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I get upset? Now don't care about to be an
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: adult Steve, and to steal with it. Let's make sure
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: she's an adult. Just deal with it, this Steven sherl.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I'm for they old woman who has been dating three
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: different men for some time now. One lives with me,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and honestly I care about him, but he really can't
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: support us like a man that's supposed to. He's forty nine,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: he nice looking, no driver's license, no driver ambition, and
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: he has folk baby mamas. He got drive, he got
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: dry he just can't go nowhere, but all his drive
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: is in the wrong place. He ain't got no ambition,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: he ain't got no license. You literally, he's a really
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: nice guy, and his sex game is bananas. That's how
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: he got foulk baby mamas. See, his six game is bananas.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: His driving game ain't bananas, His ambition ain't bananas. His
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: goals and visions ain't bananas. But the boy is a
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: baby making machhoe. So you just got to go now.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: He has called you out your name, and he has
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: threatened to hit you, but they never put his hands
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: on me. All right, you need to get out. The
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: second guy lives in Arizona. Listen to this. He treats
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: me like a queen. He buys me gilts, took me
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: to Hawaii from a FORTI birthday, shows me respect, even
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: says my mother flowers. He's the real deal, and I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: honestly love him too, But there are some things I
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: can't stand about him. He is arrogant as hell. That's
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: cause he buys all them gilts. He thinks he knows
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: it all. That's cause he didn't bought everything, and he
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: is not that attractive. He has to buy stuff, and
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: his sex is horrible. He got to buy all this.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: You ain't frying no bacon. You got to start buying trips, cars, tiles.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Is your Mama flowers, you gets to go to Hawaii,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: but he thanks he in that doing so. He in
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: that Holland all by his damn self, only one in
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: the Holland sweating up a stone. He was doing your
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: nails while he getting it. That's the way it works.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: The third guy is the one that I'm crazy in
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: love with. This how you know? She reallygnant and honestly,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I don't know why he was married. When we first
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: got together, he lied and told me they had separated.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: They live in in separate houses. But you ain't never
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: been over to his house. I later found out that
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: was a lie. We never go anywhere. How can he
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: be seen with you when he got a wife. He
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: has only bought me one thing. That was probably a
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: pack of condoles. Now see she didn't aim the one thing.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: This man is gorgeous, ol dog and loves his kid
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: as well. Yeah, but he don't love you though. See
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: he has a good job and we used to have
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: fun together. He kept telling me he was gonna get
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: a divorce. Well guess what, his wife died and we
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: still are not together. I don't need a divorce, not
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: do it. She dead? Why are you still trying to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: hang out. You really need to find out why this
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: woman died. That's what you really need to do is
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: to keep looking in the high if you keep bothering
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: him what happened to you? You need to look in
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: the cause of death. You need to get down to
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: the corner's office and pull some records. M hmm, and
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: guess what his wife died and were still not together. Honestly,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I think he has someone else, Yes he do. Yeah,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I know I sound dumb as head, Yes to even
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: be dating these men. Yes, I need to clean my
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: slate and just be singing. I really need someone else's inside. Surely,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: what is your advice? Well, let me give you mine.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: You got foulk nothing, you got pol nothings. You and
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: them three men, and you ain't nothing to either one
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: of them. See, you're trying to figure out why all
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: the all three of these men ain't your everything when
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: you ain't now one of they everything. See, once you
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: spread yourself thin, you're gonna get thin results. You're sleeping
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: with three men, ain't none of them your everything. Ain't
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: none of them your soul mate? Because they know what
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: thin is. They know you spread it thin, They know
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: you live with this dude. They know that unless you
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: lie and too. You've been all up in Hawaii with
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: this dude, got money, treat you respect, called your mama,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: give a flowers, but the agg and his hell but
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: you just like the trips now in bed, he just
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: a walking disaster. He the only one in there, just
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: holl it. He didn't tow the bedroom up. That's when
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: that's when you're going at it wrong. Lady, Are you serious?
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: You can't expect any one of these men to be
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: there everything, and you're none of their everything. M Hm, No, No,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: she's not. She just loose. She ain't fine, She just loose.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: M I mean you in here doing some tricks? Can
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: you hear me? She in here doing some tricks. She
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: flipping and turning. She didn't walk herself out? Actually, what's
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: wrong right now? She foughted, She just tied. I like
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: to go to the trick show. The see some trick
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: shows ain't good. It's like going in the fun house
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: and find out it ain't ain't really fun. Ain't fun.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I bust my head against the mirrors when I go
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: into did y'all bush you out here against the mirror? No?
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I usually step over all right, right, there right there.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: It's coming up with our national headline. Makes you think
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: it's a hole in the flap. Just step over, man,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you buchet your head up. You're listening to all right?
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Coming up miss Anne with our headlines at our national
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: news today. Right after this from Solange Grammy Winner, Come on,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Junior Grazzy in the sky. It's crane you show yes.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: All right, ladies and gentlemen, she is here with our
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: national news, the lovely and talented miss Anne Trip. Thank you,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Shirley girl, thank you very much. This is and Trip
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: with the news. Everybody well. President Trump has elected a
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: new National security advisor. He's retired Army Lieutenant General H. R. McMaster,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: and the Commander in Chief is singing his praises a
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: tremendous falling and tremendous experience. I watched and read a
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: lot over the last few days. He is a league
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: respected by everybody in the military and who were very
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: honored to have him. McMaster is to succeed General Michael Flynn,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: who was forced to submit his resignation last week over
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: what he did and did not tell the Vice President
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: about a phone call he had with the Russian ambassador
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: last December. Before Donald Trump was inaugurated president, and therefore
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: before he even had the job as National Security Advisor,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: which would make him a private citizen. If he was
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: negotiating policy, that would be against the law. General McMaster
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: is a three star Army general who up to now
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: has headed the Army's Capabilities Integration Center that's sort of
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: an army strategy think tank. A grand jury indicted a
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: former National Security Agency contract on charges of violating the
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Espionage Act. Howel Martin accused of stealing thousands of classified
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: documents over a period of twenty years. The FBI says
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: have found piles of documents gathering dust in his car
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: and in the backyard ship tops. At the weekend box
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: office the holiday weekend box office, the Lego Batman movie
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: fifty Shades Darker was number two. Matt Damon is a
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Great Wall came in in third place, a disappointment for him.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: John Wick Chapter two hanging in fourth place, In fifth place,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Ice Cube's Fist Fight Really funny movie, and in six
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: place Hidden Figures, which has made one d and forty
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: two million dollars so far. That's a lot of means,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: a lot of word of mouth to people, telling people
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: go see this movie. Speaking of which, it's Black History Month.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Time now for today's black history note. Note there would
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: be no light bulb with who were not for the
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: genius of a Black American. Lewis Howard Latimer holds the
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: patent for the first cost efficient method for producing carbon
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: filaments for electric lights, and besides holding the patent for
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: the filament inside the light bulb, Latimer also holds the
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: patent for the screw base. Thomas Edison holds the patent
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: for the globe. Louis Latimer was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: in eighteen forty eight. His father, George Latimer, was an
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: escaped slave whose capture kicked off the first of the
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: highly publicized fugitive slave trials back in eighteen forty two.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: As a young man, Lewis Latimer enlisted in the Navy
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and later became a patent draftsman. In fact, he made
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: many of the drawings for Alexander Graham Bell's telephone patterns.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Latimer later worked for the United States Electric Lighting Company
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: and was responsible for other significant innovations involving electric lighting.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: It was Louis Latimer who supervised the installation of electric
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: lighting plants in New York, Philadelphia and Toronto, Canada. In
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: his later years, Louis Latimer became a head draftsman for
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: the Board of Patent Control. Louis Latimer, the man who
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: gave us two thirds of the light bulb. A person
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: of note, a real black history maker. You darn't tut.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Thank you San.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Coming up next, Jordan Peel. You guys know him from
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Comedy Central's Key and Peel. He's gonna tell us all
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: about this new horror movie that we've been seeing the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: trailers too. Oh, it looks scary. It's called Get Out.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: We'll talk to Jordan Peel after this. You're listening to
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. Okay, coming up Russia, Limbaugh said,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: President Obama, check this out. Rush. Limbaugh said, President Obama
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: had it easy. Let's let's stop with the comparisons and
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: just deal with what we have now. M hmm. This
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: is the conservative nominee for president of the United States.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Let's quit talking about President Obama. He had it easy
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: because he didn't. And who who's gonna explain this story? Surely?
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Oh that one? I am? Okay? After the song, and
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I bet you. I'll show you why he didn't back.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I don't even know what it is, but get away
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: light here the story we'll find out after this. Alright, Steve,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: this is for you because I know you are chomping
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: at the bit to respond. Talk radio loud mouth, that's
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: what we'll call him Russia. Limbaugh believes that President Barack
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Obama had it easier while he was president, much easier
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: than President Trump number forty five. And the reason he
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: says Barack Obama had it easier as president is because
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: he's black, Okay, right, right, always always Yeah. As an
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: attempt to justify the opposition that President Trump is getting
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: right now, uh, Limbaugh said on Fox of Course, that
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Trump's problems are all about liberal media and people who
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: love Obama lashing out. Obama was the first African American president.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: You have everybody falling all over themselves to acknowledge that.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: To reward that Russia, Limbaugh explained, Obama was going to
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: get everything he wanted in that first year because if
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: anyone opposed it it, they were going to be accused
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: of being a racist or bigot or who knows what.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Now that if that's not a case of reverse raciism. Okay,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: you need me to read it again. No, no, no,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: this is real simple. First of all, Rush Limball, you
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: have no idea what it is to be black, and
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I must explain something to you, even not being the
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: President of the United States, there's nothing easy about it.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: It's a very challenging thing to be African American in
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: this country, as I'm sure it's very challenging to be Asian.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I'm sure it's very challenging to be Latino. I'm very
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: sure that it's challenging to be Jewish. I think it's
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: very challenging to be gay. I think it's very changeling,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: challenging to come here to try to seek a life
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: that's better than the one you had as an immigrant.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I think it's challenging for a lot of people. But
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: for you to say he got it easy because he
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: was black, that one of the hardest things that I've
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: ever attempted to do was be a man in this
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: country and in this world. When I cannot take my
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: skin color and get a break from it, three hundred
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: sixty five days a year, seven days a week, twenty
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: four hours a day, there is no break for being black.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: So for you to say he had it easy, and
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: then to try to use the liberal media as the
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: reason he had it easy, because everything he wanted he got.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Excuse me, he got nothing. He got nothing. And it
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: wasn't because of the press. It was because the House
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: and the Senate decided everything he did, we was gonna
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: fight at tooth and nail, tooth and nail, and you
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: aid this man's first term straight misery. So when he
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: got to the second term, he took the gloves off
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: and said, okay, cool, you won't pass nothing. We're gonna
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: have some executive orders. It was you all, rush who
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: made his life miserable. This president had more death threats
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: against him than any other president in the history of
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: the United States. How easy was that His wife has
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: been called names? No other first lady has had to
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: suffer through, no other first lady who proved to be
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: one of the best first ladies we've ever had. I
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: have nothing against the first lady we got right now,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: and I don't think it's cool to talk about people's
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: wives and family now, So I don't. I don't think
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: that's cool at all. But you all are said he
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: would get nothing through when he became president and you
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: all spent your every waking hour proving it. Thus the
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: rise of the current president that we have now because
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: you spent eight years hating President Obama so bad that
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: you didn't prepare another candidate. And now we were all
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: sitting here making this work now. And then here's the deal, y'all.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: We have to make this work because guess what we
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: cannot do. We cannot preach the next four possibly eight
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: years of doom and gloom for us because we have
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: a new president. President. Let me, let me explain something
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: to you. What do you understand this? He's likely to
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: be the eight years he's campaigning now, I'm telling you, man,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: he's campaigning. He cast the people that need to get
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: out and vote. They're not gonna vote. They not truly.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Now that he's in office and they see what's going
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: on just in these first few days, they'll wake up
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: and decide that they need to cast a vote in
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: the next election, presidential election. And and I hate to
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: tell you all this, and I'm gonna say one other
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: thing too. I'm thoroughly disgruntled with the political system. Yeah,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I'm so sick of his bipartisan mess they're doing now,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: and it's just it's sickening to me. Anyway we can
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: anyway we can get Rustling Pa to be black for
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: a couple of weeks so he can understand. What's it like?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: You do? Don't want to sign up? What you're listening
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We're back. We got
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: special guests on the phone. Now. I love this dude, Man,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I love this dude. Man, I love this dude. I
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: love his pardoner. Man. I ain't never laughed so hard
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: at these two. These two funnies is on my computer. Man,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Key and Peel is on my computer. I love damn
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: near everything they do. Man has been laughing. Uh. Special
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: guests one of him. He's an active comedian, film director, screenwriter,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: best known for starting the comedy Central's Key and Peel
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Uh and for his five seasons on Mad TV. He's
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: joining us to tell us about a new horror movie
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: called get Out. I've been watching the cliffs. Yeah, this
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: ain't a comedy, Uh, this is this weekend get Out,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Marks's uh directorial debut. Please welcome to the show, one
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: for for the great team, the one and only my man,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: Mr Jordan Peel, Welcome, Welcome, Hey man, what's going on boy,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Man your ass is funny to me? Man ain't ain't
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: man your ass? Hey, look this this this is a
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: different turn from me. Here it is, Man, this ain't funny.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Get out as a horror movie. Man, it's a horror movie.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: My favorite. You know, I just I love I love
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: horror movies because that's where it's. It's it's a communal experience,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: you know, going to see a horror movie, and it
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: just uh, I wanted to make a movie for for
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: everybody that's ever ever yelled at the TV movie screen,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: you know, get out the house. Tell us about it though. Man. Okay,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: so you know this is basically the horror version of
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Guests is Coming to Dinner. Okay, So you have the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: setup is you have you have a black man and
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: a white woman and they're they're they're they've been dating,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: and they're gonna go up to um meet her parents.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: And it's all about, first of all, how how all
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: the uncomfortable uh interacts that you can have in that situation.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: And it really is it's a movie that it's it's
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: it's about racism. But you know, I gotta say, you
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: got we got little rel Howary in there, who um
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: is really funny comedian I know you know him, um,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: and he's kind of like it's kind of the voice
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: of the audience in a way, so you get you know,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you basically this movie is about you know, representation in
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: all ways. It's like, you know, we we a black
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: man is the lead of a horror movie. Um, and
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: not just the guy that dies first, you know what
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I mean. So yeah, it's it's it's crazy. I mean,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: right now we got like we got a hundred percent
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: on Rotten Tomatoes right now, Steve. It's it's like a
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: people are seeing these early screenings and just like responding,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: it's it's really I mean, it's but it really is
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: horrid though. I mean, this thing's looks straight crazy. I
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: saw him. Look on the dude's face. I said, Okay,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: this is not a damn coming this dude. Yeah, that's
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: that actor's name. Okay, he's Daniel Kaluya and he's he
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: was in a movie Cicario. I don't know that one,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: but he's he's he's an amazing he's an amazing actor.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: And you know when I first went out and like
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: you know, you try and find like okay, let's find
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: like year old leading man, black leading man. Who who's
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: who's gotten to carry a film? And there's not a
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: lot of guys. It's not a lot of representation. You know,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: it's Michael B. Jordan's And then it's like the list
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: is real short. Um. So you've got an actor like
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Daniel Caluya, who is like and this this dude, he's
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: a star. He's a star. He's like he's like, you know,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: he's like Sydney Pottier meets Jimmy Stewart. Um, just just
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: a true, true um star. And the whole the whole cast,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: everybody in the movie, it's just crushes it. Wow, y'all,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: we gotta get out to the things. If you're in
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: the horror movie, surely you don't watch horror movies. I
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: will watch this one even though it looks scary. I'm
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: just so intrigued. Homi Jr. Yeah, they all go all
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: for this because he black. I'm going to see him leave. Yeah,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: that's right. I mean there's you know, I've seen this
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: with with with several crowds and look, it's like there's
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: there's several times that there's cheer moments like the crowd
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: goes goes crazy, there's laughs in it. It'll it'll scare you.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: You know. I got a couple of jump scares in it.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: It's the whole the whole rain roller coaster of emotions
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: in this one. Wow. But but people, you know, it's
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: like people. People are getting it, and so I think
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: I think it's the type of movie you can't you
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: can't really uh imagine how it could be done in like,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: uh in a tasteful or positive way because it's so crazy.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: But you know, we pulled it off. Man, I had
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: a good team around me. Wow. I bet it is
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: this Friday, everybody, the movie opens, You've got to get there.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: The movie is get out. How many times have you
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: been watching the whole movie? And say it to yourself?
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: Them two words get out. Even the ghost, the most
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: famous words of any ghost in the movie is stay
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: this movie. I'm going just to heart. That is not
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: if you say it in the house, I probably ain't
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: gonna here because I'm already outside. But congratulations to Jordan's
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: great job, man, your directorial debut. Man, much success to you. Man.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: We're gonna get to the movies. Man, we like stuff
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: like this. Man. It opens this Friday and theaters every where, man,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: make sure when you go to the theater, everybody, like
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: I always tell you, make sure your ticket has get
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: out on it. Do not let them give you a
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: ticket and tell you just go in any theater. That's
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: been a trick they've been pulling to hold down our
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: box down box box office numbers for years. Don't let
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: it happen. Make sure your ticket has get out on it.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: The best way to do it just ordered online. And
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: then how your ticket when you get that Jordan Pale,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: my man, you catch big love to you man, get
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: out this ride. Then movie theaters everywhere, let's go you
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: whoa man? Oh those trailers look scary, look scary. Make
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: sure your ticket got get out on it, man, you know.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: And it's almost like when you see the trailers, everybody's
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: asking is it a comedy? Horror? That's what you're thinking,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: you know, you think comedy off the top. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: but you heard him. He said, it's straight horror. I
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: just nothing funny and trailer right, He looked mortified. Yes, yes,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: this ain't This ain't funny. Uh, what'd you say? I'm
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: gonna do a horror movie for Russia? Limbau him. You
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: don't know how being black and scary. I'm gonna don't
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: trying to call trying to get alone alone. Yeah, you know,
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: we got onto the bank. It's hard for us to
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: get some I do want Russia Limball really to find
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: out how easy it is. He had it easy because
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: he was he was black. Man, Don't go that's funny. Really,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: damn damn, you got it easy because you're black. Better
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: wish your boy stole back. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: All right, we come back. There's a new show on
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: b ET. It's called The Quad. Some criticism coming their way, though.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: We'll tell you what. People are in an uproar about
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: right after this hit the record, All all right, here
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: we go talking about this show, The Quad. I don't
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: know if you got he's got gonna do it? No,
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: thank you, major fan. It was right on the tip
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: of your tongue. Alright. Deberly and A Niki Nika Noni Rose,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: great actress. They're responding to this criticism of The Quad.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: The Quad, of course, is the show that comes on
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: b E T. It's about college life at hbc U.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: S Uh, We've told you before, HBC you Hampton University
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: President William Harvey wrote an angry open letter about The Quad. Uh.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: The Quad, of course is scripted. It's fictional. Did you
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: say his last name is Harvey? Harvey. Yeah, anybody with
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: the last name Harvey don't try to help nobody ya
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: big Harvey. Anyways, I was saying The Quad, as a
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: scripted drama, takes place at a fictional, historically black university. Now,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: despite solid ratings, the show is doing very well. Uh.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: President Harvey is criticizing the show for poorly representing hbc US,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: calling it a sad um and degenerating story. Now b
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: ET CEO Deba Lee and The Quad star and Nicanoni
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: Rose are responding. In an interview with Ebony magazine, Debra
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Li said that she had a private conversation with Dr
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: Harvey and while she respects his opinion, she stressed to
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: him that quote, fictional TV has drama, you have good
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: eyes and you have bad guys. Now, Anicanoni Rose was um.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: She let's just say she wasn't so pc. In her response,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: she said she said the show is fiction based. In fact. Uh.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: She adds that a lot of the issues on the
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: show are taking taken straight from the headlines of what
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: has happened at schools, so pretend so to pretend that
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: these things don't happen is ridiculous. He does, yeah it does. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: yeah it happens. And I think that BT is okay
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: in this case right here, it's just like Alabama State
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: released Dr boyd Um for no reason. Now, this woman
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: was a top quality But hey, man, do you know
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: that this woman has was removed as the president of
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Alabama State? Do you know this woman is the head
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: now of the Harvard Law Business College. Really explain that
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: to me, Well, because they take the stories from the headlines,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: they say, well, and that ought to be one of them.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: They can take that storyline, because how you get rid
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: of this woman who did all these great things down
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: there at Alabama State, which is a fine college man,
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: and this woman took it to a whole another level
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: and had great plans for them. But because some people
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: down that didn't like her, the board votes her off
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: without even a good reason. She broke no laws, didn't
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: take no money, nothing. You know, when she ends up
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: at in the Harvard Law Department running it, we'll be
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: back you're listening, alright. Thirty four minutes after that, let's
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: get to these back to back. James, come on, Cat,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: let's go. Hey, coming up next year. All we bought
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: it the end. We got time for just one more thing.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: We'll tell you about it after the break. You're listening,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Steve har All right, coming up next. We got just
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: one more thing, Hey, Steve, you wanted to clear up something,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: you know I made. I was saying Harvard. I meant Howard.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Howard is what I meant. Yeah, about the former president
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: of Alabamia. I was saying that she was she had
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: a new job at Harvard, And it's actually at Howard,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: the woman who was fired at a s U, which
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: was a horrible mistake, a horrible mistake to remove this
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: woman because they still when you look over everything that
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: there was no valid reason, they had nothing. It was
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: just there were people on that board down there who
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: had just gotten on the board the day before and
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: voted against the woman. You know. It's it's it's very
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: political down there, and what they're doing. Man, it's just
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: not it's not great. It's such a great institution. Is
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: so many great kids down there, such a great campus.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: She increased enrollment, housing, the engineering department, the educational the
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: numbers were up. Everything about this woman. They just didn't
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: like her. They wanted somebody else for something. And they
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: don't even have a good reason. Very disappointing association for me, man.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: This woman was trying to do so many great things
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: at that university. Man, and it's just unthinkable. I mean,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: they cannot explain why, why they why they released this woman.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: They can't explain it. They cannot explain that. But she's
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: gonna be fine, though, She's gonna be way past fine. Man.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: And and that's a sad thing, man, because that's a
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: great student body down there. I fell in love with
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: them kids down there. There are some great students down
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: there's some great faculty down there. You know, it's just
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: the board. The board needs work, man. So many just
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: people down there, man, just voting. And the way they
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: voted this woman out. Man, they put two seats up
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: and added them. And the day the people got added,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: they voted against a woman. Craziest at man. Wow, Well
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: Licia cleared up the school. Yeah, well that that ain't
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: even the really important part. Really, you know, that's all good?
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: Just kills me. Many this other this this president Trump. Man, Okay,
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: we gotta talk about these travel costs, um he going
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: to Florida, and yeah, the Washington Post is reporting that
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: these three trips that he took over the weekend to
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: Mara Lago his property down in Florida, probably caused the
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: federal treasury about ten million dollars. That's basically yeah, that's
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: based on figures used in an October government report analyzing
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: White House travel, including money for Coast Guard units to
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: patrol the exposed shoreline and other military security and staffing
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: expenses associated with moving the apparatus of the presidency. The
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: three mar Lago getaways, combined with the hundreds of thousands
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: of public dollars spent on Secret Service protection during two
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: international trips Trump's adult sons have taken to promote their
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: father's business, caused taxpayers about eleven point three million dollars
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: over the first months months He's only been in office
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: for a month. For the first month of his pregnant presidency,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: we are tax now. Listen to this president, a businessman
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: as the president of the United States. Yeah, that's what
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: we have. That's what business people are expensive. Yeah, because
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: they're used to a certain lifestyle. That's why the first
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: Lady don't want to move to the White House. You've
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: seen her careb rgo or she can go up there
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: at Trump Tower. Why would you go live in the
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: White House? Now, now, just to give you some perspective, Now,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: I just told you President um Trump has been in
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: office a little over thirty days. Now, he's spent already
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: eleven point three million dollars. President Obama, by contrast, spending
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: average of twelve point one million on travel a year,
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: he did spent about ten in a month something. Oh
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: my goodness, Wow, yell, a lot of complaining. Don't complain. Flow,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: Wake up, y'all, y'all ain't gonna be flawed no more so.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Overnight he just sold it. Overnight he real estate, ain't he?
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: He salestof Russia. I should go own it. And you
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: know what, what's crazy about the statement? Tom Me just
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: make somebody will print that and put it in the
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: block and it'll be news on the internet in about
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: forty minutes Florida the word yeah man, And they're gonna
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: blame this Steve Harvey morning showing instead of him made
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: another damns. We passed that. Now we're good. It's crazy,
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: but you know, I try to tell everybody, man, man,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: we're tripping. Man, We gotta get ourselves together. We gotta
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: keep moving forward. You individually have to move forward. We collectively,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: as a unit and as a people, we have to
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: keep moving forward. You can stop all this complaining, man,
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna change the damn thing again. Wanta
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: do nothing, body, So so I'll just go to work, man,
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: and get through this end of the day. Yeah, have
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: a great weekend. Yeah. For all Steve Harvey contests, no
