- 0:59Speaker 4: Don't love you?
- 1:20Speaker 2: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 5: I can't.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Got to turn the mouth turn You probably got to
- 1:44Speaker 3: turn mouth turn, turn the water of the moat up?
- 1:49Speaker 6: Looking me.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come out? You think that? Ah huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You're listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 4: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I want to talk to you today about success. But
- 2:23Speaker 4: I want to talk to you about it like I
- 2:26Speaker 4: usually do in terms of a principle of it, but
- 2:29Speaker 4: I want to share something with you about it. And
- 2:33Speaker 4: I was talking to my daughter about it. I've talked
- 2:37Speaker 4: about my son in law about it, talked about it
- 2:39Speaker 4: with all my children, and I'm really starting to express
- 2:42Speaker 4: it to them now because I'm talking to a wide
- 2:45Speaker 4: range of people constantly. But I want to share something
- 2:49Speaker 4: with you. If you have any aspiration of being successful,
- 2:54Speaker 4: I want you to realize, starting right now, the effort
- 2:58Speaker 4: that is going to record. And that's why I think
- 3:02Speaker 4: it stops a lot of people. I think a lot
- 3:04Speaker 4: of people are never told or don't understand the sheer
- 3:09Speaker 4: efforts that it takes to become successful at anything in
- 3:14Speaker 4: any area of your life. If you think that doing
- 3:17Speaker 4: your best is enough, that I got news for you.
- 3:21Speaker 2: It's not.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Well, Steve, What if you've done your best, though, and
- 3:27Speaker 4: your best ain't good enough? Well, let me ask you
- 3:30Speaker 4: that same question.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 3:33Speaker 4: If you want to be successful and you've done your
- 3:35Speaker 4: best and best isn't good enough?
- 3:37Speaker 2: What you threw that's it? But Steve, it was my best. No, no, no,
- 3:42Speaker 2: no no.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It was the best you had at that time, in
- 3:46Speaker 4: that particular day. But tomorrow adds something to it. You've
- 3:53Speaker 4: never done everything. There is no you can't go no more,
- 3:57Speaker 4: you can't add no more. I've seen marya runners end
- 4:01Speaker 4: up crawling across the line. I've seen triathlone people man
- 4:05Speaker 4: just staggering in the street and didn't want nobody to
- 4:08Speaker 4: help them because they knew they would disqualify them from
- 4:11Speaker 4: the race. You got more? Have you ever dipped into
- 4:17Speaker 4: your reserve tank? That's what we're talking about now. See
- 4:22Speaker 4: all of us have a reserve tank, you know, you
- 4:25Speaker 4: know on my ranch. I like to ride four wheelers.
- 4:28Speaker 4: I have all terrain vehicles and all of them have
- 4:31Speaker 4: a gas tank on it and a gas tank in
- 4:34Speaker 4: most of mine.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Let me see all of them.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Yeah, all of them have gas tank needles on them,
- 4:38Speaker 4: and it lets me know. When I get down towards eight,
- 4:42Speaker 4: there's a little lane that's red that lets me know. Okay, Steve,
- 4:46Speaker 4: you're in the danger zone. Now you're riding into the
- 4:49Speaker 4: lowest part of your tank. But if I keep riding
- 4:52Speaker 4: and I forget to get some gas in there, guess
- 4:55Speaker 4: what when it runs out of gas. All of my
- 4:59Speaker 4: all terrain vehicles, all of them, Honda, Polaris, all of them.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Those are the makers. There's a button on the gas
- 5:08Speaker 4: tank itself that I can click and it says reserve.
- 5:13Speaker 2: That means they.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Know that for the hard core riders, they're gonna ride somewhere,
- 5:20Speaker 4: they're gonna get themselves in a situation and they're gonna
- 5:23Speaker 4: run out of everything.
- 5:24Speaker 2: They're gonna run out of road, they're gonna run out
- 5:26Speaker 2: of gas.
- 5:28Speaker 4: They've prepared because they know for the hard core rider,
- 5:31Speaker 4: every hard core rider needs a reserve tank. And so
- 5:35Speaker 4: there's a button that you can click on the gas
- 5:38Speaker 4: tank that clicks it into a reserve, and it'll give
- 5:41Speaker 4: you about fifty miles or twenty miles worth of gas
- 5:46Speaker 4: in that Now, guess what in that reserve That may
- 5:49Speaker 4: be all you need to get you the where you're going,
- 5:53Speaker 4: or get you back to safety so you can refuel.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Don't tell me you've done your best. When your best,
- 6:00Speaker 4: don't cut it. What you're gonna do. See when best
- 6:04Speaker 4: is possible, then good enough ain't enough. See that's good enough.
- 6:10Speaker 4: But if the best is possible, why would you not
- 6:12Speaker 4: shoot for that? And you you are all capable of
- 6:16Speaker 4: making it. But you've got to change your mindset and
- 6:19Speaker 4: realize the effort that has to be put forth in
- 6:22Speaker 4: becoming successful. You've got to do it relentlessly, over and
- 6:27Speaker 4: over and over and over and every day. I try
- 6:31Speaker 4: to do something to progress my life for the better.
- 6:34Speaker 4: I try to do something every day. I wake up
- 6:37Speaker 4: every day with the plan. Some phone calls, some meetings,
- 6:41Speaker 4: some some some some interviews.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Something.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Man that's going to advance and move the brand forward.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Because here's what's gonna happen. You are Let's say you
- 6:50Speaker 4: reach your goal. Let's say your goal is to make
- 6:53Speaker 4: now one hundred thousand dollars.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Well, I got news for you. Listen to this.
- 6:59Speaker 4: When you make the one hundred thousand dollars, you can't
- 7:03Speaker 4: go nowhere and go on vacation and put your hand
- 7:05Speaker 4: behind your head and say I made one hundred thousand dollars.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Guess what you got to do. You got to find
- 7:10Speaker 4: a way now to maintain that one hundred thousand, to
- 7:13Speaker 4: keep it coming in. See, you can't just get there
- 7:17Speaker 4: and stop and rest and whoa. It is harder to
- 7:21Speaker 4: maintain your success than it is to get successful.
- 7:25Speaker 7: See.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Let's say, let me show you the Suppose it takes
- 7:28Speaker 4: you five to eight years to find a way to
- 7:35Speaker 4: make fifty thousand dollars. Let's say it takes you five
- 7:38Speaker 4: to eight years to find a way to make an
- 7:40Speaker 4: extra fifty thousand dollars, and you finally, through work and effort,
- 7:45Speaker 4: you get to the fifty thousand dollars. Math it's only
- 7:50Speaker 4: just begun now, because guess what, in order to keep
- 7:54Speaker 4: the fifty coming in, you got to duplicate what you
- 7:58Speaker 4: did to get there.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And then, oh, here's what.
- 8:02Speaker 4: You're going to have the audacity being a human being,
- 8:05Speaker 4: You're gonna want another fifty because you're a human being,
- 8:10Speaker 4: because you gotta have something else to shoot for.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Now you're gonna want another fifty. Well, now that guess
- 8:15Speaker 2: what you gotta do.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Now, Now you gotta do what you did before, plus
- 8:18Speaker 4: you gotta come up with something else.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Then after that.
- 8:22Speaker 4: You're gonna have the audacity because you're human, you're gonna
- 8:25Speaker 4: want another fifty.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Says how this works?
- 8:30Speaker 4: And see that that that's the importance of your relationship
- 8:34Speaker 4: with God, because you're gonna constantly need it and ain't
- 8:37Speaker 4: never a point where you're gonna be through needing it.
- 8:40Speaker 4: But that ain't gonna become a point in your life
- 8:41Speaker 4: where you're going through. Won't be through, won't nothing unless
- 8:44Speaker 4: you then just gave up. And if you done gave up,
- 8:46Speaker 4: who wants that? Come on, y'all, this is going to
- 8:50Speaker 4: take quite a bit of effort, and if you think
- 8:54Speaker 4: it'll come to you.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Any other way, you're sadly mistaken.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Because of all the successful peace people I know, I
- 9:01Speaker 4: know that the effort they put out on a daily
- 9:03Speaker 4: basis is daunting, and I think that the average person
- 9:06Speaker 4: just doesn't understand the requirement of time and effort that
- 9:10Speaker 4: it takes to get that and willingness to put it out.
- 9:14Speaker 4: You got to cut a lot of monkey business out
- 9:16Speaker 4: your life. All that hanging out, all that late and
- 9:20Speaker 4: all that club and all that drinking, all that. You
- 9:22Speaker 4: got to cut a whole lot of monkey business out
- 9:25Speaker 4: to be successful. Man, if you're planning on being successful,
- 9:30Speaker 4: get up early, stay up late, work, try, think, meet, greet, smile, attract.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It takes a lot, let's go, but you can do it.
- 9:41Speaker 4: God is pressed to passing out blessings all day long.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Why are you not in line for yours? I'm telling
- 9:47Speaker 4: you right now, I want everything God got for me
- 9:49Speaker 4: because what he's shown me so far. Who if he
- 9:53Speaker 4: got some moke man or man? How good is God?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Huh?
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, it is time to
- 10:06Speaker 4: start this thing, and start this thing we will st
- 10:12Speaker 4: a r T. St starts with a lot of great
- 10:15Speaker 4: things in my life. St start st Steve st stutter
- 10:22Speaker 4: ST's have paid played a pivotal role in my life.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Do you understand? I do?
- 10:28Speaker 4: Clearly, gratitude does not start with st because it is
- 10:32Speaker 4: far more superior than stuttering, starting or steve its gratitude.
- 10:39Speaker 2: The three tubes that can change your life.
- 10:42Speaker 4: If you open your morning with gratitude, it directly affects
- 10:47Speaker 4: your attitude, which is in direct correlation to your altitude.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Let the church say.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Man a man again, starting a strawberry calling for real.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Mouth of the south Kill better known as Junior, the
- 11:05Speaker 4: legend of Nephew Tommy and myself.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Boy Junior, what's on your mind today? Sir?
- 11:11Speaker 8: Well, we're coming back.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Man.
- 11:14Speaker 8: You know, I'm thinking about motivations. You know now I've
- 11:17Speaker 8: recessed the first half of the year. Have you recessed
- 11:20Speaker 8: the first half? And what's your motivation?
- 11:21Speaker 4: You want to recess something that means you go off
- 11:25Speaker 4: to have lunch and to play on the playground.
- 11:28Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 4: That when you get your tooth recessed. It when someone
- 11:36Speaker 4: punches you and cause it to go further up into
- 11:39Speaker 4: your gum line, you have had your tooth recessed. We first,
- 11:47Speaker 4: we don't have to master the language because and if
- 11:51Speaker 4: I correct you, you have made a severe mistake.
- 11:55Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I know exactly, I know exactly what you meant.
- 12:02Speaker 4: But I took this moment to show you that I
- 12:05Speaker 4: knew better than you at that particular.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Moment about the usage of grammar.
- 12:13Speaker 1: The playground.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's recess. Nothing else really mattered to me.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Anybody say we're gonna take a recess, like where I
- 12:22Speaker 4: was at a meeting one time and they said, oh,
- 12:24Speaker 4: we're gonna recess the meeting, and I went they got
- 12:26Speaker 4: a playground. First thing, I thought, dog, because that's all
- 12:32Speaker 4: that mattered to me. That was that was my favorite
- 12:36Speaker 4: subject at school. It was all that mattered to me.
- 12:40Speaker 4: We're gonna stop the meeting. Wanna take a recess? I said, cool,
- 12:43Speaker 4: they got playground. This can be slick right here. I
- 12:45Speaker 4: don't like none of these people in this meeting, but
- 12:48Speaker 4: I'm gonna go over there and play by myself.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Said it be just signed.
- 12:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I was the only kid that knew how to seesaw
- 12:56Speaker 2: by hisself.
- 12:57Speaker 10: I U.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Yeah. I just jump as.
- 13:00Speaker 4: High as I could with the board between my legs
- 13:02Speaker 4: and come on back down.
- 13:04Speaker 2: I just dealt with it.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Okay, Oh that was the worst thing the.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I just dealt with it.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Yeah, because it's hard to get somebody to come sea
- 13:12Speaker 4: saw with you when you study.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah I could. I could have sea saw.
- 13:19Speaker 4: By the time I convinced this total stranger, come over
- 13:22Speaker 4: here and get on the other side of this board.
- 13:25Speaker 2: So you just got it over. Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 4: I went on up there and just jumped high as
- 13:28Speaker 4: I could, slam back down to the ground.
- 13:30Speaker 5: I was.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I didn't seesaw. I just saw.

- 18:38Speaker 12: with this dog? Is you talking about breasting your baby?
- 18:42Speaker 9: Why would you do this now? Why would you why

- 18:50Speaker 12: Dog, I'll tell you what, dog, Bring your baby over here,
- 18:53Speaker 12: you and the baby, come over here.

- 30:53Speaker 1: I like it. I like it. I like it.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I like it.
- 30:56Speaker 13: Yeah two point oh.
- 31:00Speaker 2: It turned it up five works at all? Yeah, okay too?
- 31:04Speaker 2: All right?
- 31:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what happens, Steve Wright.
- 31:08Speaker 7: People were a lot of people were saying that they
- 31:10Speaker 7: didn't want to celebrate the Fourth of July because it's
- 31:14Speaker 7: about freedom and we're still not free as black people.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I ain't never celebrated the fourth I mean we barbecue,
- 31:22Speaker 2: but it wasn't for freedom.
- 31:24Speaker 1: It was a day off.
- 31:30Speaker 6: And what the.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Country has done.
- 31:32Speaker 1: And all that. We were just off. Yeah.
- 31:35Speaker 4: You know, my daddy used to get mad when when
- 31:38Speaker 4: he look outside and people have flags on their house.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Uh, hell, they got that flag on their house for identity. Bad.
- 31:48Speaker 4: But mamma came here one time. I heard him have
- 31:50Speaker 4: a knockam slick. We ought to get us a flag
- 31:53Speaker 4: put on the house, he said, for what what. I'm
- 31:57Speaker 4: putting the flag out here for snick. It's a few
- 32:00Speaker 4: people on this street. Well it's a fool. It's a
- 32:03Speaker 4: few foods live on this street, and we ain't fit
- 32:06Speaker 4: to be one of them. Now, we ain't free, and
- 32:08Speaker 4: we're not fin to act like we free. I got
- 32:10Speaker 4: a matter of fact, I got to go to work
- 32:12Speaker 4: there after them all.
- 32:15Speaker 1: And they didn't have Juneteenth back then, So.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Hell no, I ain't even one to say, you know what,
- 32:20Speaker 4: but in Cleveland they would have June Team celebrations.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Well they did have June teenth, just not where you live.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Yeah, no, no, no, they had June Team celebrations in Cleveland.
- 32:30Speaker 4: I go to them just because it was some girls.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I didn't it go okay, Rod?
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:36Speaker 4: Well yeah, I mean I didn't understand it back then,
- 32:39Speaker 4: because I figure out, what if we wait three years later?
- 32:43Speaker 1: What if?
- 32:44Speaker 2: All right, we're moving two years after the fact.
- 32:47Speaker 13: Why is another reason why we don't celebrate them? Yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 13: two years later you still get us enslaves?
- 32:56Speaker 7: Thank god we got it to Kevin. Now we're celebrating
- 32:58Speaker 7: June teenth. Alright, Moving on, guys. After eight weeks of
- 33:02Speaker 7: trial and thirty four witnesses, Sean Combs was acquitted on
- 33:07Speaker 7: rocketeering and sex trafficking charges, but found guilty on two
- 33:10Speaker 7: lesser charges of transportation to engage in prostitution related to
- 33:14Speaker 7: Cassandra Ventura and another woman referred to as Jane. The
- 33:19Speaker 7: judge denied bail and did he will remain in jail
- 33:22Speaker 7: until his sentencing, which has been set for this fall.
- 33:26Speaker 7: Prosecutors reportedly will seek a four to five year printed sentence.
- 33:31Speaker 7: So what are your thoughts? What are your thoughts on
- 33:34Speaker 7: this verdict? Do you agree he should remain in jail
- 33:37Speaker 7: until sentencing?
- 33:39Speaker 1: What do you think? Guys?
- 33:40Speaker 4: Steve, Well, you know, we kind of talked about this,
- 33:43Speaker 4: me and Carlin Junior. We kind of talked about it.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Normally they let people go home, oh for something like that.
- 33:53Speaker 4: I mean, well, I'm gonna say to let them go home.
- 33:55Speaker 4: They let them post bail for something like that.
- 33:58Speaker 1: First off, that is the Man Act violation.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, So they normally let people go and I
- 34:05Speaker 4: think him his defense team everybody was surprised that he'll
- 34:11Speaker 4: get to go. No, he ain't gonna go nowhere. He
- 34:13Speaker 4: puffy finn to go. He can't get on no plane,
- 34:16Speaker 4: ain't no cant see. You know, I had a serious
- 34:19Speaker 4: conversation with some friends of mine. Hey man, he could
- 34:21Speaker 4: pay a pilot to take him. That pilot ain't throw
- 34:24Speaker 4: his life at risk because now you aiding in the
- 34:27Speaker 4: bed and all this hit and now you're finn to
- 34:28Speaker 4: go to prison. Just fly puffy well to BALI indeed
- 34:33Speaker 4: you better stay.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Yeah. So I thought that was a little crazy.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Uh, but uh, I think this could work out in
- 34:45Speaker 4: his benefit because now I think I think what may happen.
- 34:50Speaker 2: He may just get time served.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yeah that's what people.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he may just get that. I don't know.
- 34:59Speaker 4: I'm curious to see what everybody else think, though, all
- 35:02Speaker 4: real call it colin.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Don't have to say nothing. I already know what call it.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Call it. Don't go ahead chime in.
- 35:10Speaker 13: Well, you know I said this before, you know, I
- 35:12Speaker 13: thought it was.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Disappointing.
- 35:16Speaker 13: I will say that that he didn't get charged with
- 35:20Speaker 13: the heavier, more aggressive charges racketeering and sex trafficking.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Sex trafficking, you know, women victims.
- 35:31Speaker 13: This is why sexual abuse victims they don't like to
- 35:34Speaker 13: come forward because it appears when they do come forward.
- 35:38Speaker 13: And a lot of people I've been seeing on social
- 35:40Speaker 13: media lately, they're blaming Cassie. They're shaming. Yes, they are
- 35:45Speaker 13: very very mean to her. And this is what I
- 35:48Speaker 13: mean about blaming the victim instead of the abuser.
- 35:52Speaker 1: There's some things that we learned about Diddy.
- 35:54Speaker 13: I said this before in the trial that we can't
- 35:57Speaker 13: unhear and unsee. And I think that the part of
- 36:00Speaker 13: what the judge is saying that he has to stay
- 36:03Speaker 13: right now until sentencing or he's going to do a
- 36:07Speaker 13: special hearing to hear his defense again for the uh
- 36:12Speaker 13: bail announcements.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 36:16Speaker 13: The judge talked about the violence in the case that
- 36:19Speaker 13: the jurors, you know, they represented that as evidence.
- 36:23Speaker 7: And those charges just meant that he won't spend life
- 36:26Speaker 7: in prison. He's still going to get done some time
- 36:29Speaker 7: for those charges. And don't forget, Cassie's lawyer did write
- 36:33Speaker 7: a letter to the judge stating that she was, you know,
- 36:36Speaker 7: afraid for her safety if he got out.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Well yeah, you know, yeah, I definitely don't understand the Cashi,
- 36:45Speaker 4: the cashy, the Cassie bashing, because she was a victim
- 36:49Speaker 4: here for a great part of it. Now there was
- 36:53Speaker 4: Texas saying she was a willing participant in some of
- 36:56Speaker 4: the stuff.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Got all that very much.
- 36:58Speaker 4: But but part of the what you weren't she didn't
- 37:03Speaker 4: voluntarily do her thing, but he wasn't on trial for
- 37:06Speaker 4: domestic violence, so it was a lot of miscommunicated stuff
- 37:10Speaker 4: in this thing.
- 37:11Speaker 2: So I don't I'm bad. I'm not on the jury
- 37:14Speaker 2: or any of that.
- 37:16Speaker 7: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour will unpack
- 37:19Speaker 7: President Trump's new big, beautiful bill. Right after this, you're
- 37:23Speaker 7: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:30Speaker 8: Everybody, that's your favorite plate cousin Junior. You know what,
- 37:32Speaker 8: I love having cookouts in the summertime, but it is
- 37:35Speaker 8: so expensive. But have you heard about what Sam's Club
- 37:37Speaker 8: is doing though? With locked in Summer Value until July
- 37:40Speaker 8: twenty second, prices are held over on one thousand items,
- 37:43Speaker 8: from paper plates to trash bags, the sunscreen, to ice cream,
- 37:46Speaker 8: even apple pie. It's a no brainer to join Sam's
- 37:49Speaker 8: Club because locked in Summer Value can help you save
- 37:51Speaker 8: on all the things you need to have a great summer.
- 37:54Speaker 2: I plan on joining.
- 37:55Speaker 8: I think you should too. Go sign up for a
- 37:57Speaker 8: membership and join Sam's Club today at Sam's Club slash
- 38:01Speaker 8: join all right guys.
- 38:03Speaker 7: On Friday, President Trump signed into law his sweeping tax
- 38:08Speaker 7: cut and spending package what he calls a big beautiful
- 38:11Speaker 7: bill that was on the.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Fourth of July.
- 38:13Speaker 7: In over eight hundred and eighty seven pages of legislation,
- 38:17Speaker 7: the renamed Big Ugly Bill details significant cuts to healthcare
- 38:22Speaker 7: and nutrition programs like Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
- 38:27Speaker 7: or Snack program, and will allocate new money for national
- 38:31Speaker 7: defense and deportation. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill
- 38:35Speaker 7: will create a three point four trillion that is trillion
- 38:41Speaker 7: with the TARA federal deficit over the next ten years
- 38:46Speaker 7: and leave millions without health insurance. However, Republican lawmakers have
- 38:50Speaker 7: disputed those forecasts.
- 38:52Speaker 1: So what do you think.
- 38:54Speaker 7: That's a lot a lot of money, and our kids
- 38:56Speaker 7: and grandkids will be the recipient of that three.
- 39:00Speaker 5: What he said he wasn't going to do, and none
- 39:03Speaker 5: is blowing up. He did exactly what he said, or
- 39:06Speaker 5: people can lose their healthcare. Watch a bunch of all
- 39:09Speaker 5: start flying out.
- 39:10Speaker 15: Yeah, I think the Big Ugly Bill now, well, I
- 39:14Speaker 15: think the shaker is going to be It's going to
- 39:18Speaker 15: affect so many of his voters and his constituents in
- 39:23Speaker 15: rural counties, especially where they went head over.
- 39:26Speaker 2: He was red red red red red.
- 39:29Speaker 4: But I think that the people in this country are
- 39:32Speaker 4: going to find out what this politician and the rest
- 39:36Speaker 4: of them are about. And I've always said, it's about power,
- 39:40Speaker 4: it's about position, and it's about money. And they will
- 39:44Speaker 4: always vote to protect those three things. And they are
- 39:48Speaker 4: afraid of Donald Trump, so to vote against him would
- 39:51Speaker 4: cost them their position and they would no longer have power,
- 39:55Speaker 4: which would affect their money. So when you're afraid of
- 39:58Speaker 4: the guy, you know, when they was talking about this
- 40:01Speaker 4: is gonna be hard to get through the House and
- 40:03Speaker 4: the senator has got to rebuff this. I said to myself,
- 40:06Speaker 4: ain't they not finna do that? Theyre not finna go
- 40:09Speaker 4: against this man man, So this is exactly what you're
- 40:15Speaker 4: going to get now. Elon Musk is talking about starting
- 40:18Speaker 4: this new party, but let me caution people against that.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Elon Musk is a huge reason because of Dolge that
- 40:26Speaker 4: we are in the cuts that we are in now,
- 40:29Speaker 4: because he came in with all those ideas. So what
- 40:31Speaker 4: the new party fit to be? He just got enough
- 40:35Speaker 4: money to play these games with all these senators and
- 40:39Speaker 4: stuff where you won't be in office next year.
- 40:42Speaker 2: And the Democrats.
- 40:43Speaker 4: I am still waiting on the Democratic Party to have
- 40:49Speaker 4: a plan of attack, a counter attack, a person or anything.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I'm just sitting here, man.
- 40:57Speaker 4: I can't be more disappointed in first of Republicans is cowards,
- 41:03Speaker 4: but the Democrats what we sitting here doing? No, I'm
- 41:05Speaker 4: not even take the DM off my name. I'm just
- 41:08Speaker 4: Finna Beki from here on out.
- 41:10Speaker 2: All right?
- 41:11Speaker 7: See coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour.
- 41:14Speaker 7: The essens Fest was sponsored by Target and a lot
- 41:17Speaker 7: of attendees were outraged.
- 41:19Speaker 1: We'll talk about that right after this.
- 41:22Speaker 7: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, this past weekend's
- 41:30Speaker 7: Essence Festival in New Orleans reported to lower ticket sales
- 41:35Speaker 7: and vendors opting out this year after backlash over Essence
- 41:39Speaker 7: Fest's continued partnership with Target. Over the weekend, social media
- 41:44Speaker 7: users questioned Target's presence as a major sponsor amid the
- 41:47Speaker 7: black community's ongoing boycott of Target stores, and Essence Festival
- 41:53Speaker 7: executive took to Instagram to explain that Essence Festival is
- 41:58Speaker 7: on a multi year sponsorship with Target and they're fully
- 42:01Speaker 7: aware of how it looks, but there is a contractual
- 42:04Speaker 7: agreement here If Essence were to end that contract, they
- 42:08Speaker 7: would face financial loss and legal consequences. To address negative
- 42:12Speaker 7: comments on social media, Essence Chief Events officer told nola
- 42:17Speaker 7: dot com that social media criticism is a part of
- 42:21Speaker 7: his job. He said, quote, I remind my team that
- 42:24Speaker 7: the negativity shows how impactful you are. What we're building
- 42:30Speaker 7: is that important to people that they're going to air
- 42:33Speaker 7: us out if we get it wrong, but they will
- 42:36Speaker 7: come back when we get it right.
- 42:39Speaker 1: So what do you think about that Target being.
- 42:41Speaker 7: A sponsor of the Essence Fest and we're boycotting Target?
- 42:46Speaker 1: Interesting to say the least.
- 42:50Speaker 13: I mean, you know, we saw pictures on social media
- 42:53Speaker 13: and videos and Essence Festival goers. You know, we used
- 42:56Speaker 13: to go to Essence Fest all the time every year,
- 42:59Speaker 13: being part of a culture. But people were just all
- 43:02Speaker 13: kind of comments. They're saying it's not the same. They
- 43:04Speaker 13: were disappointed to see Target there. You saw people they
- 43:08Speaker 13: were disappointed in entertainment in the lineup and it's just
- 43:12Speaker 13: was it empty? Yes, well yes, some for some days,
- 43:16Speaker 13: some events.
- 43:17Speaker 7: Some yeah, and considering from whence they came, how it
- 43:21Speaker 7: used to be you know a big fact, yes, yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 7: who was.
- 43:25Speaker 2: The big headline of this year? I mean they had
- 43:28Speaker 2: different days.
- 43:29Speaker 13: I saw Babyface, I saw Maxwell, I saw the waiting
- 43:34Speaker 13: of Matail anniversary salute with different artists performing.
- 43:39Speaker 1: You would you say, Tommy, what's the.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Girl that didn't show up till three o'clock in the morning. Yeah,
- 43:48Speaker 2: why y'all.
- 43:52Speaker 13: But they said it wasn't all her fault, though they
- 43:55Speaker 13: did say that. They said there was productive there was
- 43:58Speaker 13: some issues that day, so it wasn't just all her phont.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's always huddle. Yeah.
- 44:04Speaker 7: Unfortunately that label follows.
- 44:08Speaker 5: I never see it go to where somebody performed at
- 44:10Speaker 5: three o'clock.
- 44:10Speaker 2: In the morning.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you hosted it for a lot of time.
- 44:16Speaker 4: You did.
- 44:17Speaker 6: Well.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Here's the question I have for Essence.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Did Essence sign this contract with Target before the boycott?
- 44:28Speaker 7: Well they said it was a multi year contract and
- 44:32Speaker 7: it sounds like it did.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Well.
- 44:34Speaker 4: You know, if they signed a deal before the boycott,
- 44:38Speaker 4: then you know you can't just you know, you can't
- 44:42Speaker 4: out the deal. Uh, them sponsoring Essence, if you think
- 44:47Speaker 4: about it, technically won't affect the boycott. Thank you for
- 44:54Speaker 4: putting your money on this, but now we ain't shopping
- 44:57Speaker 4: with you and Target got hurt deeply by the down
- 45:00Speaker 4: here now Jamal Brian is trying to do the what
- 45:03Speaker 4: is this dollars?
- 45:04Speaker 1: Dollar General, dollar Channel, Dollar General.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Which is which surprisingly somebody told me it is bigger
- 45:11Speaker 4: than Walmart.
- 45:12Speaker 7: Yeah he said it, Doctor Jamal said it. It's bigger
- 45:15Speaker 7: than Walmart.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Bigger than Target. Yeah.
- 45:17Speaker 7: And they're all strategically placed in African American neighborhoods.
- 45:21Speaker 1: All of that.
- 45:22Speaker 4: You know, I just wish doctor umar would go and
- 45:26Speaker 4: talk to somebody so he could be on the page
- 45:30Speaker 4: with somebody.
- 45:31Speaker 2: He mad about everything.
- 45:33Speaker 4: He mad, not the snow bunnies, he mad about Target,
- 45:36Speaker 4: he mad about Dollar General. If doctor umarh would just
- 45:40Speaker 4: go and have a meeting with some of the black
- 45:44Speaker 4: leadership so we could get some type of leadership on
- 45:47Speaker 4: the same page, so we could not be all over
- 45:50Speaker 4: the place.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Now, what you want us to do?
- 45:51Speaker 7: Now?
- 45:52Speaker 2: You want you want some boycott.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Dollar General, uh, Target, Walmart, snow bunnies?
- 45:58Speaker 2: What is it?
- 45:59Speaker 7: Was it?
- 45:59Speaker 2: You want?
- 46:00Speaker 13: Stud snow Bunny's getting this compensation?
- 46:08Speaker 2: Always is always out of his mouth.
- 46:10Speaker 4: The snow bunny come up, I'd be going like leady
- 46:13Speaker 4: people loone man. Maybe they found in love with somebody.
- 46:17Speaker 7: Coming up next, It is a nephew and today's prank
- 46:19Speaker 7: phone call. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 46:23Speaker 7: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the
- 46:31Speaker 7: hour about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today,
- 46:35Speaker 7: and the subject is he doesn't cover all the bases.
- 46:38Speaker 7: We'll get into that and find out what that's all about.
- 46:41Speaker 7: And just a few sounds interesting, doesn't it. But right
- 46:44Speaker 7: now the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 46:47Speaker 1: What you got for his neph.
- 46:49Speaker 2: I got check settlement, Sharman settlement.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Good thing, Yeah, very.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Good thing, check settlement, cat dog.
- 46:57Speaker 5: If you would thank you else? Right, I'm trying to
- 47:01Speaker 5: reach out please, how you doing. It's a tourney over
- 47:06Speaker 5: to associates?
- 47:08Speaker 2: All right? I want to give you a call.
- 47:09Speaker 5: I just got your file that hit my desk and
- 47:11Speaker 5: we got a check going out to you on Monday.
- 47:13Speaker 5: You came in yesterday, correct, Yes, Okay, listen, we got.
- 47:17Speaker 2: A few low glitches here.
- 47:19Speaker 5: We want to go over with I want to go
- 47:21Speaker 5: over with you and make sure we get this all
- 47:23Speaker 5: ironed out before you come in on Monday, and I'll
- 47:26Speaker 5: have a check definitely waiting on you when you get here.
- 47:28Speaker 5: All right, you're supposed to be getting six four hundred
- 47:32Speaker 5: and ten dollars, unfortunately is being reduced to twelve hundred
- 47:36Speaker 5: due to injuries not being as as bad as they
- 47:40Speaker 5: say it was. A lot of calculations got really mixed
- 47:43Speaker 5: up on our paperwork here. And please keep in mind
- 47:45Speaker 5: that on the twelve hundred, we still haven't taken out
- 47:47Speaker 5: our fee, which is like about thirty three and a third.
- 47:50Speaker 5: We'll have a check for you on Monday in the
- 47:51Speaker 5: ballpark of four to five hundred dollars.
- 47:54Speaker 6: Oh okay, I'm still getting it. So what was the
- 47:58Speaker 6: total month that y'all got from the laws, from the from.
- 48:02Speaker 5: The Evidently the person that did these calculations completely did
- 48:06Speaker 5: them wrong. I do apologize for this being a mishap
- 48:10Speaker 5: on our part and it's totally screwed up. And I
- 48:12Speaker 5: do apologize on the behalf of the of the association
- 48:16Speaker 5: here that we've dropped the ball on that. But your
- 48:19Speaker 5: actual check has been reduced to twelve hundred dollars, okay,
- 48:23Speaker 5: and that's without us taking the law fees out of it.
- 48:26Speaker 6: So I just right because I was six thousand dollars
- 48:30Speaker 6: cover the doctor bill and the chip practice.
- 48:34Speaker 5: Well, from my understanding, man, what they're also stating is
- 48:36Speaker 5: that your injuries are not that bad, and I don't
- 48:39Speaker 5: want to be the bear of bad news. They're actually
- 48:42Speaker 5: wondering if you were actually hurt at all.
- 48:44Speaker 6: So I even had to get injections, okay from the practice.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Okay, and do you have any you I have some
- 48:51Speaker 5: medical documents here, and I understand that you've been going
- 48:54Speaker 5: and you probably look like you went over at least
- 48:56Speaker 5: at least two months going to the doctor and getting
- 48:59Speaker 5: and getting there and I.
- 49:01Speaker 6: Was his call. That was a chiropractice car. That wasn't
- 49:04Speaker 6: my decision.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Okay, Well at this.
- 49:07Speaker 6: Call from my from my injury.
- 49:09Speaker 5: Exactly, and a lot of a lot of these doctor fees,
- 49:11Speaker 5: and that you've gone to a eating eating up a
- 49:14Speaker 5: lot of these funds. And I tell you, these doctor
- 49:16Speaker 5: bills they get pretty high out there. I do want
- 49:19Speaker 5: to apologize. What we're gonna do here, since we've dropped
- 49:21Speaker 5: the ball on this. We're gonna give you the check
- 49:24Speaker 5: for twelve hundred and not even take the loft fees
- 49:26Speaker 5: out of it.
- 49:26Speaker 2: And I'll have that check waiting on you on Monday morning.
- 49:30Speaker 6: That's still okay. I understand what you're saying. We're trying
- 49:33Speaker 6: to figure out is from the I need to see
- 49:38Speaker 6: some paperwork of saying stating what was the total mount
- 49:42Speaker 6: check that was written from the insurance company, plus what
- 49:46Speaker 6: was the portion that was supposed to be taken out
- 49:48Speaker 6: for the chiropractice, plus that was supposed to be taken
- 49:51Speaker 6: out from a doctor's itself. That you're telling me six
- 49:54Speaker 6: thousand that's not gonna wouldn't have covered that and leave
- 49:57Speaker 6: me with only twelve hundred.
- 49:59Speaker 5: Okay, I'm not at liberty to let you look at
- 50:01Speaker 5: this paperwork anymore. I'm calling you basically to let you
- 50:05Speaker 5: know I have a twelve hundred dollars check for you.
- 50:06Speaker 5: If you don't want that, then you can go ahead
- 50:09Speaker 5: and take some other legal life.
- 50:11Speaker 6: I mean, that doesn't sound right, Robert. I mean from
- 50:14Speaker 6: the entire month, because I got the paperwork from the
- 50:17Speaker 6: contractor stating what mat was paid.
- 50:20Speaker 2: I understand that, ma'am. What I'm trying to let you
- 50:22Speaker 2: know any issues there there.
- 50:23Speaker 5: What's going on right now is the response coming back
- 50:26Speaker 5: is that you're not actually hurt at all.
- 50:28Speaker 2: That's what they're saying. They're saying you're not hated at all.
- 50:31Speaker 5: Actually, I don't want to use the words, but they're
- 50:33Speaker 5: saying that you've been faking this the whole time.
- 50:36Speaker 6: I need to see some paperwork with parts to check it.
- 50:38Speaker 6: This doesn't sound right, That doesn't make any sense.
- 50:41Speaker 5: Well, all right, now, you know I'm the last person
- 50:43Speaker 5: that that this file is gonna come across. It's coming
- 50:46Speaker 5: across my desk. This is pretty much a take it
- 50:48Speaker 5: or leave it option, you know.
- 50:50Speaker 6: And if you don't leave no, no, him, no no,
- 50:53Speaker 6: I mean you love to get an ad to me
- 50:54Speaker 6: because you are my lord and I'm your client.
- 50:57Speaker 5: Well, you're not gonna raise your voice. You're not gonna
- 50:59Speaker 5: raise your voice except me. That's not gonna happen either.
- 51:02Speaker 5: So let's let's pipe it down a bit. Okay, Now
- 51:06Speaker 5: here's what we're gonna do. Do you want the twelve
- 51:08Speaker 5: hundred dollars check or do you.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Not want it? Now?
- 51:11Speaker 5: I've already wavered the fees of the of the attorneys here.
- 51:14Speaker 5: Do you want the twelve hundred or do you want
- 51:16Speaker 5: me to reduce it to four hundred?
- 51:18Speaker 4: No, I don't want.
- 51:18Speaker 6: Twelve hundred becase I'm gonna take you to court. So
- 51:20Speaker 6: that doesn't time off supposed to be my lawyer.
- 51:24Speaker 5: I'm being the best attorney that you probably could afford,
- 51:26Speaker 5: young lady. Okay, and I'm trying to do the best
- 51:29Speaker 5: I can to help you. Now you if I from
- 51:32Speaker 5: what I understand.
- 51:33Speaker 6: Is I'm that's not gonna be acceptable. I just have
- 51:36Speaker 6: to get a lawyer to you. That's not accessible.
- 51:39Speaker 2: You know, you know you people continue to want.
- 51:41Speaker 6: To take me to offer. Yesterday when we came in,
- 51:44Speaker 6: I didn't.
- 51:46Speaker 4: I wasn't there doing the meeting yesterday. Like I said,
- 51:49Speaker 4: these papers just landed on my desk today. What I'm
- 51:51Speaker 4: not going to tolerate is you people consistently wanting to
- 51:55Speaker 4: file a lawsuit on somebody.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Now you want to file a lawsuit on me. You
- 51:59Speaker 5: know you're going way too far with this.
- 52:02Speaker 6: This is I want to talk to I've never heard
- 52:06Speaker 6: of Okay.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Well now you've heard of me. I'm and I work
- 52:12Speaker 2: here as well.
- 52:13Speaker 5: And I'm not going to stand you uh uh dismantling
- 52:16Speaker 5: me the way that you're doing.
- 52:18Speaker 6: I just have to get a lawyer that's not accessible.
- 52:21Speaker 5: I got one more thing. This is nephew Tommy from
- 52:23Speaker 5: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked. You
- 52:27Speaker 5: got precked by your husband. Oh, your husband told me.
- 52:36Speaker 5: She's been waiting on that check.
- 52:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I was about to go about a little office.
- 52:45Speaker 2: All right, baby, let me ask you something.
- 52:47Speaker 5: Tell Tommy what is the baddest radio show in the land?
- 52:51Speaker 2: Steve Harvey? All right, baby, look here, get your check
- 52:57Speaker 2: and now you have it? How about that? All right?
- 53:02Speaker 1: King of prank?
- 53:03Speaker 13: Too much?
- 53:05Speaker 1: Have that way too much?
- 53:07Speaker 5: How you come back off vacation? Right there, that's how
- 53:09Speaker 5: you come back off the fourth ju live vacation for
- 53:11Speaker 5: a feedlement check. All right, the nephew this weekend, y'all, Helium.
- 53:15Speaker 5: It is Helium Comedy Club, Alfarrella, George Alpharella right outside
- 53:20Speaker 5: of at a. The Nephew will be there Friday, Saturday
- 53:23Speaker 5: and Sunday.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Kickers on. Say right now, did you hear what I said? Wait?
- 53:29Speaker 2: What's it now? Helium? Alpharella?
- 53:33Speaker 5: Din the street from you, get in your car, come
- 53:37Speaker 5: on and open up. I'm gonna give you five minutes.
- 53:39Speaker 5: Don't be late and just do your thing. Give you
- 53:42Speaker 5: five maybe seven. I'm give yourself.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Come on down. That to be the hard seventy episod

- 56:55Speaker 1: Thank you, ne you.
- 56:56Speaker 7: Subject he doesn't cover all the bases. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 57:00Speaker 7: I'm in my late forties and I'm raising three children
- 57:03Speaker 7: on my own. I've had my fair share of dating horrors,
- 57:07Speaker 7: and I would love to be married, but the dating
- 57:09Speaker 7: pool has pee in it. So I've decided to like
- 57:13Speaker 7: the man that likes me. But I'm also doing whatever
- 57:16Speaker 7: I need to do on the side to be sexually satisfied.
- 57:20Speaker 7: My boyfriend is a decent lover, but he doesn't cover
- 57:24Speaker 7: all the bases. He doesn't even start at first base.
- 57:27Speaker 7: He goes straight for the home run every time. I
- 57:31Speaker 7: like the ball being hit out the park, but I mean,
- 57:34Speaker 7: I need those bases covered.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Too, if you know what I mean.
- 57:37Speaker 7: He thinks he's my everything, and I let him believe
- 57:40Speaker 7: that so I don't lose him.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I make so much noise that you would think we're
- 57:45Speaker 1: at the World Series.
- 57:46Speaker 7: Then once he leaves, I either have company or I
- 57:50Speaker 7: go visit one of my other men that know how
- 57:53Speaker 7: to please me. I just wish they could do other things,
- 57:57Speaker 7: like hold a conversation or take me out to dinner.
- 57:59Speaker 7: Okayasionally they don't even call me regularly, so there's no
- 58:03Speaker 7: way I could ever get caught.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Up thinking they want a relationship with me.
- 58:07Speaker 7: Before you think I'm a garden tool, there are two
- 58:10Speaker 7: other men. There are only two other men that I
- 58:13Speaker 7: deal with. My main boyfriend seems to love me, but
- 58:16Speaker 7: he's never told me, and the other two guys are
- 58:19Speaker 7: only there to service my needs. I'm just one of
- 58:22Speaker 7: those people that need to be pleased sexually or it
- 58:26Speaker 7: ruins my mood and I can't even function at work.
- 58:30Speaker 7: My children get a happier mom and better meals when
- 58:33Speaker 7: I'm in a good mood.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Here's my dilemma.
- 58:36Speaker 7: It was hard to find a decent man to accept
- 58:38Speaker 7: me with three children, So would I be wrong to
- 58:41Speaker 7: ask him to step up his game in the bedroom.
- 58:44Speaker 7: I don't want to run him off. So how do
- 58:46Speaker 7: I address the sex issue? Okay, first of all, you
- 58:51Speaker 7: know what, I don't want you to think you're a
- 58:53Speaker 7: garden tool.
- 58:54Speaker 1: I just don't.
- 58:54Speaker 7: You're a strong woman. I'm going to say this, you're
- 58:56Speaker 7: a strong woman who knows what she wants. You do
- 58:59Speaker 7: need to cool off sexually, cool down a bit so
- 59:02Speaker 7: you can focus on what you have. You need to
- 59:04Speaker 7: learn how to get what you want from this one man.
- 59:08Speaker 7: If this is who you want, concentrate on him. And yes,
- 59:11Speaker 7: it is okay to let him know what you like.
- 59:14Speaker 7: It's okay. You could do it nicely. There's a way
- 59:17Speaker 7: to do it where you won't fragile, hurt or damage
- 59:21Speaker 7: you know, his very fragile ego in the process. I
- 59:25Speaker 7: think letting him know what you want, there's no room
- 59:28Speaker 7: for fear. You can't be afraid he's going to leave
- 59:31Speaker 7: you. You're just standing up for yourself. I mean, if he
- 59:33Speaker 7: runs off, he runs off, he wasn't the one. Just
- 59:37Speaker 7: look at it that way. He wasn't the one.
- 59:39Speaker 10: You know.
- 59:39Speaker 7: I always say, no risk, no reward, So you got
- 59:42Speaker 7: to take that chance. You got to tell him what
- 59:44Speaker 7: you want from him, Teach him what you like. But
- 59:50Speaker 7: I do say now, while you're teaching him, while you're
- 59:53Speaker 7: in this teaching mode, you got to leave these other
- 59:55Speaker 7: two guys alone so you won't be distracted. You won't
- 59:58Speaker 7: get caught. Your man might strike out a few times.
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: To use your baseball analogy, he might, you know, he
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: thinks you're he's your mister everything, but he might strike out.
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: So with practice, you know, you guys got a practice.
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: Now he can go from baseball analogy spring training all
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: the way to the All Star Game and then to
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: the World Series for real. Okay, you don't want to
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: then you won't want to need these pinch hitters, these
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: other two guys. So I don't think three kids. Three
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: kids are not you don't have to settle. A good
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: man who loves you will take the total package build
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: from there. But a good man who takes you as
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: you are will not allow you to play them. So
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: I got to tell you again, get rid of these
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: other guys and give your relationship a chance.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Give it a chance.
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: Steve.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Wow, lady, it's so much wrong in this letter. Now.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I could take a humorous approach about this, but you're
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: in trouble. So I'm gonna be Uncle Steve on this letter.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: First of all, lady, this whole way you're operating, it's
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: just foul.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: It's foul. See.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: I've had my fair share of dating horrors. I would
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: love to be married, but the dating pool has pe
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: in it. Okay, that's okay, that's fair. It is hard
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: out there, I'll admit that. So I've decided to like
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: the man that likes me, but I'm also doing whatever
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: I need to do on the side. This right here
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: is a bad concept. This concept is bad. This is
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: not a win win for a man or woman, but
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: it's especially not good for a woman. But then you
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: came up with this incredible baseball analogy. My boyfriend is
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: a decent lover, but he doesn't cover all the bases.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: He doesn't even start at first base. He goes straight
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: for the home run every time. I like the ball
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: being hit out the park, but I need those bases covered,
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: if you know what I mean. Well, that's great, lady, great, great, great,
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: great great, But you have a problem here. You're treating
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: this whole thing as if it were a game. Once
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: you get into the game aspect of the relationship, You're
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: dealing with people who are experts at the game, and
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: that is men. We are experts at the game. Now
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: women are not experts at it. You can play it,
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: but when you play the game, ladies, it almost always
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: never works out for you. And I'm sorry because you
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: are not designed or created to be a baseball analogy.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: He thinks he's my everything, and I let him believe
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: so that I don't lose him. I make so much
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: noise you would think we were at the World Series. Okay,
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Shirley's exactly right. Why you doing that?
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Girl?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Hang on? Hang on?
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Anybody taking you to dinner? They taking you to bed.
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: We'll get part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: twenty three minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry Letter subject
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: he doesn't cover all the bases.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: Everybody that's your favorite play cousin junior, And you know what,
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: I love having cookouts in the summertime, but it is
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: so expensive.
- 1:03:30Speaker 14: But have you heard about what Sam's Club is doing though?
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: With locked in summer value until July twenty second, parces
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: are held over on one thousand items, from paper plates,
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: the trash bags, the sunscreen, to ice cream, even apple pie.
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: It's a no brainer to join Sam's Club because locked
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: in summer value can help you save on all the
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: things you need to have a great summer.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: I plan on joining. I think you should too.
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: Go sign up for a membership and join Sam's Club
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: today at samsclub dot com slash join.
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: The sub he doesn't cover all of the bases.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: I understand what the lady said, But Lady, the problem
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: we have in this entire letter is you're operating under
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: a bad concept. You've decided to like the man that
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: likes you, but I'm also doing whatever I need to
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: do on the side to be sexually satisfied. Nah, your
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: boyfriend is a decent level, but he don't cover all
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: the bases. He don't like he started liking first base,
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: he goes straight for the home run. Everything I like
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: ball being hit out of partment, but I need those
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: bases coming. If you know what I mean, Lady, you're
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: using a baseball analogy, and which means you're operating your
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: life and your relationship as a game. And once you
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: get into the game, like I said before, you're dealing
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: with men who are experts. See, we've been playing this
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: game baseball, football, basketball since we were boys.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: We grew up playing this. Most women don't. And when
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: you get into this game, ladies, you're not.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Equipped or built really to play this type of sport
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: with your body and your relationship.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: You're just not designed that way.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: I'm sorry, And if you want to play it that way,
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: it's not gonna work out for you.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: So now let me teach you a little something.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: He thinks he's my everything, and I believe I let
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: him believe that so I don't lose him. I make
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: so much noise you would think we had the World Series?
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: What what you're doing that for? Shirley told you what
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: you need to do is work with this man and
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: get into become more. But no, no, no no, Once
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: he leaves, I either have company or I go visit
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: one of my other men that know how.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: To please me.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: I just wish they could do other things like hold
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: a conversation and take me out to dinner.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Occasion.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: Why what we got to take you out to dinner for?
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: You asked us to come over here. You come over
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: there so we could do you were doing you. We
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: ain't got to buy you dinner. We're not finna take
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: you nowhere. We're gonna take you to the rack. And
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: that's its sister.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Now. They don't even call me regularly. Why you called
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: him boy?
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: We got called you resting for you ain't gonna be
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: special to them because you ain't special to yourself. So
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: there's no way I could never get caught up thinking
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: they want a relationship with me. Now, before you think
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: I'm a garden tool, there are only two other men
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: that I deal with. Lady, you already at your max number.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: You dealing with your boyfriend and two other men. You
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: at your max number, you maxed out. I don't know
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: you don't want us to call you a garden too.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: You gotta stop acting like one. I don't know how
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: you think this city in that it might offend to
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: go along with this that you wrote in Uncle Steve,
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: and I could be funny this whole letter, trust me,
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: but I'm gonna help you because you got to stop
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: this because this is this is just a loop you
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: in and you can't get out of it. Now, my
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: main boyfriend seems to love me, but he's never told
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: me that, because the other two guys are only there
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: to service my needs. He feels that some kind of way.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: He may not know exactly what's going on. But men
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: ain't as stupid as you think. Now you say, I'm
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: just one of those people that need to be pleased sexually.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Listen to this or it ruins my mood and I
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: can't even function at work. And my children get a
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: happier mom and better meals when I'm in a good mood.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: So let me ask you something.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: So when you ain't getting sexed, you can't go to work, Yo,
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: this grumpy, and you can't cook.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Lord her mercy. I can't Lord have mercy. Here's my dilima.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: Now we already know what your dilemma is. You got
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: to get sexed or you can't function. That's the dilemma.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: Here's my dilimma. It's hard to find a decent man
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: to accept me with three children. Stop right there. You
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: going at this with the wrong energy. Your transmitter is off.
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: The signal that you're emitting from your brain, your body,
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: and your mind, that remote control that you're operating sends back.
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: What you send out is what you get back. So
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: the reason it's hard to find a man that will
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: accept you with three children is because you don't require
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: that they accept you and the three children. You go
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: over and require that they service you after your boyfriend
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: has inadequately, inadequately performed.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: So now you're getting exactly what you put out. Would
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: I be.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Wrong to ask him to step up his game in
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: the bedroom? Shirley said it best. That's your only option.
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: Ask him, show him, teach him. I don't want to
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: run him off. So how do I address the sex issue?
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: He wrote this letter? He wrote a letter that addressed
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: it all. But you can't sit down and have a conversation.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: So now, since you like baseball analogies, let's go. What
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: position on the field do you play?
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: You ain't the picture, You ain't throwing it. You know
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: what you are?
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: You the ketchup, You behind the plate catching balls. That's
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: all you doing. You're in a squat position with your legs.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Open, catching balls.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: That's what the catcher do on the baseball field. You're
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: in a squat position with a mask on, and you
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: catch balls.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Do we understand?
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: All right, let's leave it there. Let's leave it there.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: If I were you, I would stop playing catching and
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: get a better position on the field. I would be
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: the manager and the picture, because right now you ain't
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: none but a catcher, and all you catching is balls.

- 1:18:56Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: here's some news for our daters out there. Don't overshare
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: on the first date.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: Do not do that.
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: First dates are for people to get to know each other.
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: But there is a limit to how much you should share.
- 1:19:15Speaker 7: In fact, sharing too much could decrease your chances of
- 1:19:19Speaker 7: a second date. Why well, this is according to relationship
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: expert doctor Terry orbook, it's because it's too much too soon.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: On a first date.
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: Many daters make the mistake of sharing too much, too
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: much about themselves. Doctor Orbrik says this is too overwhelming
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: for others on the first date. Instead, gradually disclose personal
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: information on a first date, you want to leave them
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: interested and wanting more.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: So what do you think about that, Steve?
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Stop running your mouth.
- 1:19:53Speaker 13: On the book about you know, relationships. Act like a lady,
- 1:19:57Speaker 13: think like a man.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: So that's too soon.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: Lady, think like a man. Yeah, it ain't act like
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: a man. Do like I do?
- 1:20:05Speaker 11: Oh?
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Oh okay, no.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: Because you're a lady. You can protect yourself what you know?
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: Like you know, when I'm eating food fall out my
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: mouth sometimes because I never learned how to chew my
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: mouth close.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Excuse me, no second day for you.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: Let'll say that.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Too much information, Steve.
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: Many women have called in or written in and asked
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: you about kids. Should they tell that they have kids?
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: Well, yeah, you gotta say you got kids right away.

- 1:26:15Speaker 2: more understanding.
- 1:26:18Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: Look, I know the media has a job to do.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: You know, the media has to report and ask questions.
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: But I was so hurting for this man whose daughter
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: is still missing and his his his father now his
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: brother and wife went to over the father's house to
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: warn him of this flood, and by the time they
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: got upstairs to get to him, he had got swept away.
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: And this man was heartbroken. And I was listening to
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: all these stories, and then I listened to another man
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: who was looking for his little girl and it's just
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: a horrific situation to be and it's it's unimaginable. You know,
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: all these kids at this camp is so many children gone,
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: so many adults go. These are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, grandparents.
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: It's heartbreaking. But sometimes the media, in our freedom of speech,
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: we can be such, we can be so wrong on
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: so many levels. You know, the authorities were out trying
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: to explain everything, to give an update on the death count. Now,
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: this is a horrible thing to have to do, anyway,
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: to go out here and explain to everybody when you
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: have no control over this situation. You didn't cause it,
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: and you certainly could couldn't have prevented it. But here
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: comes the questions of why weren't they warned? Why wasn't
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: the people giving the proper amount of notice? And the
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: poor guy was just standing there and he kept saying, well,
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: all of our efforts right now, we'll get to those
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: answers at one point, but right now, all of our
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: efforts on trying to recover anybody that may any survivors
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: or any victims. That's our number one goal. And he
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: said that probably ten times during the speech, right But
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: this reporter kept on pressing him, and I just wanted
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: to go, lady, are you for real? You know, look,
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: I'm not an expert on mother nature by any stretch
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: of the imagination.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: But the term flash flood has two key words in it, flash.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: And flood, And nobody could have.
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: Predicted the intensity of either one of those, how fast
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: and furious and how much water. And nobody could have
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: predicted that. You know, look, this ain't a hurricane that
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: bruised off shore miles and miles and you get a
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: category reading and a name given to it, and people
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: get time to evacuate.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: There was none of that.
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: These people lives ended tragically by mother nature. And I
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: just wish people would be more sensitive. You know, it's
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: you know, we've all heard this, you know. You remember
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: growing up, your mom used to say, if you can't
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: say something good, then don't say nothing at all. Sometimes
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: we need to remember that. Sometimes we just need to
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: remember that. And social media and AI with all these
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: fake floods that they create and doing stuff for clicks
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: and likes, you know, we've just gotten into that as
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: a society. I think what should be applauded are the
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: first responders who are going out there, all of the
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: volunteers from the community who are spending got their chainsaws
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: out trying to cut through branches and dig and look
- 1:29:45Speaker 4: for possible survivors or victims. I think the credit should
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: be given to those people. The prayers need to go
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: out for the families who lost loved ones, prayers need
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: to go out for people who's trying to find people,
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: because there's a strong possibility that that that that a
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: lot of these people are gone. And I just think
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: Man as a country and as a people, we just
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: we just need to get back to what those neighbors
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: are doing for each other. They're out there helping, looking,
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: trying to create some type of closure, peace of mind,
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: something for these people. And I just wish media man
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: would take a different approach, you know, but our media
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: iss gone this way. You know, like since we're talking
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: about media, just switching the subject here in my closing remarks,
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: you know, uh, Donald J. Trump is the president. He
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: is the president of the United States, and there's nothing
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: you can do about that. And somebody asked me recently,
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: they said, hey, Steve, hey Man, I don't hear you
- 1:30:48Speaker 4: talking about Trump a lot on your show. Well, hey,
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: look we on this show. We asked you to vote.
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: We asked you to vote every day. Now, a lot
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: of people went out and voted, and a lot of
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: people did the fact of the matter is he won
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: the popular vote, vote by five million people. That was
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: the will of this country. So now what you want
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: Steve Harvey to do about that? This is who you
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: voted for. This is who you get. I'm not gonna
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: sit here for four years and be mad for four
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: years about something I can't do anything about. When we
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: had a chance to do something about it, your chance
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: was to do it was at the polls. He's doing
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: everything he said he was gonna do. But I have
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: chosen to keep my faith in God, keep moving on,
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: keep looking to heavens from what's all my help cometh.
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: And I'm gonna be fine, and you will too. Just
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: quit putting your faith in man, because man ain't got
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: nothing for you, and we're all about to find that
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: out real soon.
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:31:46Speaker 4: Those are my closing remarks today. If you don't like them,
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: just be here tomorrow. We'll have some more. You might
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: like them, but them your property didn't like. Have a
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: great day, Steeve Almosh for all.
