- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show, Yeah you do. Steve Harvey
- 2:12Speaker 1: got a radio show. But like I said the other day,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you got something too, though, don't you. God hadn't done
- 2:16Speaker 1: something wonderful for you. You just gotta thank him for it,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know. Uh, in the midst of all that's going
- 2:23Speaker 1: on in my life and in your life. You know,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I always used myself as an example because well I
- 2:30Speaker 1: mean that way. I guarantee I know what I'm talking about.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Um here here's the situation, you know, with everything that's
- 2:38Speaker 1: going on in my life and all the things I'm
- 2:40Speaker 1: asking God for in the midst of uh taxing and
- 2:47Speaker 1: a very trying situation that is very challenging for me
- 2:50Speaker 1: right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps on surprising me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: He keeps doing things. And I want you to look
- 2:59Speaker 1: at your life. Or for a second, let's make two
- 3:03Speaker 1: columns here. Let's make a column of all the things
- 3:08Speaker 1: you want from God. You know, just do that throughout
- 3:11Speaker 1: the course of the day. You know, you know, run
- 3:13Speaker 1: down the list of all the things you're asking God for,
- 3:15Speaker 1: all the things you're praying for, the things you aspire to,
- 3:19Speaker 1: what you your dreams, your visions, whatever it is. Just
- 3:22Speaker 1: make a column list of all those things. Let's make
- 3:27Speaker 1: three lists. And then the second list, I want you
- 3:29Speaker 1: to make a list of everything that you've been asking
- 3:35Speaker 1: God for, so I guess that could be a little
- 3:38Speaker 1: bit of the same. But this third list, I want
- 3:40Speaker 1: you to do a check off point. I want you
- 3:42Speaker 1: to do a make a list of everything that God
- 3:46Speaker 1: has given you that you've asked him for. Just think
- 3:49Speaker 1: about it like that for a second. I may be
- 3:52Speaker 1: explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm I'm gonna
- 3:54Speaker 1: pull it together for you make a list of everything
- 3:58Speaker 1: you're asking God for, just just listed. You know. It's okay,
- 4:01Speaker 1: it's a dream board. You can call it that. I
- 4:03Speaker 1: got one, it's a vision board. You know. Every everybody's
- 4:06Speaker 1: got something you hope for. Make a list. Now. I
- 4:10Speaker 1: want you to make another list of everything you've asked
- 4:14Speaker 1: God for that he's given you already. See this is
- 4:19Speaker 1: a good list because sometimes and what I've been guilty of,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and maybe you too, in in my request list on
- 4:27Speaker 1: my dream board, I keep focusing so hard sometimes on
- 4:32Speaker 1: the what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing so
- 4:36Speaker 1: hard on the what I hope he gives me. I
- 4:40Speaker 1: keep focusing so hard on the things that I yet
- 4:43Speaker 1: not fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he starts
- 4:48Speaker 1: checking off my wish list the things I've asked for
- 4:52Speaker 1: in the past that have come to pass that he's
- 4:55Speaker 1: given me, I sometimes, in praying for what I want
- 5:00Speaker 1: forget to thank him for what he's done for me.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And
- 5:06Speaker 1: this morning, when I woke up, I really, man, I
- 5:09Speaker 1: just got on my knees this morning and I quit
- 5:11Speaker 1: tripping for a second. I said, man, hey, God, you
- 5:14Speaker 1: know what, I really do need all them things I'm
- 5:17Speaker 1: asking for, and I'm really am believing that you're gonna
- 5:20Speaker 1: give it to me. But in the mean time, though, Man,
- 5:23Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here? I had to
- 5:28Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and and look. Or
- 5:34Speaker 1: you can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, so just leave yourself in
- 5:38Speaker 1: it there. But man, I started looking at the eye
- 5:41Speaker 1: part of me, and I started looking around at what's
- 5:45Speaker 1: happening overall. Like, man, he has kept my family together
- 5:49Speaker 1: and in spite of the attempts to tear it apart.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I look at all of that. I look at how
- 5:54Speaker 1: he's blessing my children with the desires of their heart,
- 5:57Speaker 1: which I pray for my kids. You know, I want
- 5:59Speaker 1: my kids to have a better life than I've had.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I really really do. I don't want them to take
- 6:04Speaker 1: as long as it took me to get it together.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I really really don't. I'm trying to say, hey, man,
- 6:09Speaker 1: if you go to college, this is what you can be.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Don't do like your father did. Don't go three years
- 6:14Speaker 1: drop out throw yourself into a spiral, and then got
- 6:16Speaker 1: to start to scratch all over again, you know. And
- 6:19Speaker 1: and for the most part so far, you know, they're
- 6:23Speaker 1: doing quite well of it. You know. You know they're
- 6:25Speaker 1: getting kicked around a little bit, but that's life. I
- 6:28Speaker 1: started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me overcome
- 6:32Speaker 1: with some of the previous mistakes I've made in relationships
- 6:36Speaker 1: in my life. And then I started looking about the
- 6:40Speaker 1: things he's blessed me with that I've been asking him for.
- 6:42Speaker 1: But since I've moved on from it, I forgot to
- 6:45Speaker 1: keep thinking him because I gotta always thank God for
- 6:48Speaker 1: a roof over my head, because guess what, when I
- 6:51Speaker 1: was asking for the roof and I didn't really have it,
- 6:53Speaker 1: then he gave me one that since he gave it
- 6:55Speaker 1: to me, what, I'm just cool now. I can't ever
- 6:58Speaker 1: go back to him and go, hey, man, I really
- 7:00Speaker 1: do appreciate this roof over my head because that was
- 7:03Speaker 1: a time when I was living in a car. But see,
- 7:05Speaker 1: so every morning I wake up, I gotta remember the
- 7:07Speaker 1: fact that I have a home now, because I gotta
- 7:10Speaker 1: look back and go, man, that was time, Steve, when
- 7:13Speaker 1: you didn't have no home. But see, we forget what
- 7:16Speaker 1: God has done for us because in our column that
- 7:20Speaker 1: won't column, the need column, we oftentimes forget for the
- 7:25Speaker 1: columns and the check marks that He's already fulfilled in
- 7:28Speaker 1: our life. You've got to take inventory every now and
- 7:33Speaker 1: then daily if possible. But I know we're humans. We're
- 7:36Speaker 1: not gonna do that. I don't. But you've got to
- 7:39Speaker 1: take inventory of your life to say, hey, what has
- 7:43Speaker 1: God done for me? Because man, you're overlooking as He's
- 7:48Speaker 1: doing these wonderful things for you, because there's so much
- 7:51Speaker 1: only yet to be fulfilled. I don't have part of
- 7:54Speaker 1: your life. You forget that sex and man, how crazy
- 7:58Speaker 1: is that? That a all God has done for me?
- 8:02Speaker 1: That I keep wanting so many more things, needing so
- 8:05Speaker 1: many more things, hoping so many things come to pass
- 8:09Speaker 1: and get fulfilled. I forget to check off the list
- 8:12Speaker 1: and take inventory today. Take inventory of your life. You
- 8:16Speaker 1: will find out that God is watching you, that He
- 8:20Speaker 1: is really really watching over you in spite of yourself,
- 8:23Speaker 1: in spite of your shortcomings, because we all got him.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Please know, I do you know? And remember something else too.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge.
- 8:37Speaker 1: That it is. Look, a lot of you come up
- 8:40Speaker 1: to me all the time and say, Steve Man, thank you, man, boy,
- 8:44Speaker 1: you in the morning. Man, I really be needing that well,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Like I said it a hundred times, but I'm gonna
- 8:49Speaker 1: say it again, y'all, I'll be needing it too. You know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you understand sometimes what what what God is dealing with
- 8:56Speaker 1: me is for me. But now I'm in a sharing
- 9:00Speaker 1: position where I can open up and if I just
- 9:03Speaker 1: if I just quit being so about me and become
- 9:06Speaker 1: a little bit more transparent, I can maybe some of
- 9:09Speaker 1: me that's happening to me is happening to you, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: you can see some of this in me. That's why
- 9:14Speaker 1: I used myself as an example, because man, I'm catching
- 9:17Speaker 1: it too, y'all. I ain't perfect either. So for those
- 9:21Speaker 1: of you that come up to me and say that,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I want you to understand these these talks in the morning, man,
- 9:26Speaker 1: this is important for me because man, I need these
- 9:30Speaker 1: conversations from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,
- 9:35Speaker 1: to show me the way to help me understand what's
- 9:38Speaker 1: happening to me. And see, as we've all those of
- 9:42Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change to become
- 9:45Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy, better girl,
- 9:47Speaker 1: a better man. For those you have made the decision
- 9:50Speaker 1: to change. Change is a challenge, and accept the challenge
- 9:53Speaker 1: because it's gonna come. Because right out of that here
- 9:55Speaker 1: come to hate us. Here they come people you don't
- 9:59Speaker 1: even know. Discussion your life and your change. If God
- 10:02Speaker 1: see you, really really mean what you say, in spite
- 10:06Speaker 1: of what they say about you, God will raise you
- 10:09Speaker 1: above the frase. He'll keep promoting you, He'll keep blessing you,
- 10:14Speaker 1: He'll keep moving you up. He will use you as
- 10:18Speaker 1: a show off point. He'll show you off. Man. He'll
- 10:21Speaker 1: make you. He'll make you look good to people, man
- 10:24Speaker 1: who wish you'd fall all day long, and so to
- 10:27Speaker 1: all your haters, all your haters will end up just
- 10:29Speaker 1: watching you rise. Man. They will watch you continue to grow.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That's what God will do for you. Man. You can
- 10:35Speaker 1: fool the world, but you can't fool God. God know
- 10:38Speaker 1: your heart, He knows your every thought. Man. So change
- 10:42Speaker 1: is good. But change is a challenge. Accept the challenge,
- 10:46Speaker 1: Expect the haters, expect the unnecessary. But God has strengthen
- 10:50Speaker 1: you and get you through it all. Man, y'all doing
- 10:52Speaker 1: swell this morning. Man, don't let nobody make you. Thank
- 10:55Speaker 1: you all keep talking to God. All right, you're listening
- 10:58Speaker 1: to show. Ladies, Ladies, I ain't even worried about the gentlemen.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Y'all here caused girls is here. Boys, I'm not worried
- 11:11Speaker 1: about you, cause girls is here. So ladies and girls,
- 11:16Speaker 1: those people that count and matter from all parts of
- 11:20Speaker 1: the world. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Shirley Hey,
- 11:26Speaker 1: Steve Hey, Cole, good morning, Haste, what up? Morning up?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Food ship team, all the fool they got confused, jumping,
- 11:44Speaker 1: they don't care for cool at this point, is alright,
- 11:52Speaker 1: Government's back, super Bowl is coming? What else is going on?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Trump says he'll voluntarily talk to him. That's posturing. That
- 12:02Speaker 1: is so much more than happy to not telling the truth.
- 12:06Speaker 1: He did that during an impromptu news conference on his
- 12:10Speaker 1: way to Switzerland. And because if you talk to him,
- 12:17Speaker 1: it's a thing called perjury. Mother, Well, it's perjury if
- 12:24Speaker 1: you lie to the under oath is something else, because
- 12:29Speaker 1: if you just lie to the FBI cannot lie point,
- 12:33Speaker 1: it's something else. Yeah, but he's gonna have to talk
- 12:38Speaker 1: to them one way or the other, because if he
- 12:40Speaker 1: does it, do the just regular interview with the which
- 12:43Speaker 1: is what they would prefer instead of they would prefer
- 12:46Speaker 1: instead of the grand jury, and then they could subpoena
- 12:49Speaker 1: him because then questioning is limited. But if you just
- 12:53Speaker 1: do the interview, there's no They can just talks you
- 12:57Speaker 1: a little bit more well, and they can use tactics. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 1: you know your side his attorneys. And that's why, because
- 13:06Speaker 1: he's been much I ain't set it up good though.
- 13:20Speaker 1: He just keeps running his mouth and getting himself in
- 13:24Speaker 1: trouble and he doesn't know it, and no one can
- 13:28Speaker 1: tell him to shut up and stop tweaking. I think
- 13:31Speaker 1: he likes to baffle them with his brilliance. I think
- 13:34Speaker 1: he's easy to eat, to egg on. That's what it is.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I think. I think what it is is you're dealing
- 13:40Speaker 1: with the guy that has never been in politics and
- 13:43Speaker 1: been rich. All of his friends. He only deals with
- 13:47Speaker 1: people in a certain circle. When you're around like minded people,
- 13:52Speaker 1: you're not really wrong. These racial comments he's making is
- 13:55Speaker 1: simply because he's racially incessitive. Because in his good of friends,
- 14:00Speaker 1: they say this all the time, they've been doing it,
- 14:04Speaker 1: and it's it's and it's the norm. But when you
- 14:06Speaker 1: hear it outside the circle. WHOA, what did you say?
- 14:12Speaker 1: He's it's just saying what's coming natural to him, and
- 14:15Speaker 1: like you know, it's just it alarms you because you're going, wow, man,
- 14:20Speaker 1: you didn't think that through. Yes, he thought it through,
- 14:23Speaker 1: and it sounded good when he thought it through, because
- 14:26Speaker 1: it's the norm for him. He loves the attention. He
- 14:29Speaker 1: loves the flattery. He loves that. All right, coming, go
- 14:33Speaker 1: flip him up. Yeah, something funny. Drive through workers and
- 14:37Speaker 1: the stuff they deal with? What every two after we'll
- 14:43Speaker 1: talk about it. You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 14:47Speaker 1: All right, Jay, Anthony Brown, it's time for something funny.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Now you put this together. Driving I thought it might
- 14:53Speaker 1: be cool that we salute different types of workers. I
- 14:57Speaker 1: mean a lot of workers listen to the show, capit workers, doctors, beautitious.
- 15:02Speaker 1: So to day was on a salute the people who
- 15:04Speaker 1: work to drive through the stuff they hear every day,
- 15:12Speaker 1: they hit us every day. Alright, alright, for instance, let's
- 15:16Speaker 1: go no need to cuss, sir, Breakfast is over, okay,
- 15:27Speaker 1: because it's it's two o'clock, sir, wouldn't have serving breakfast anymore.
- 15:32Speaker 1: June got this is something that live. Drive through workers

- 15:55Speaker 1: I cannot tell you two nuggets by them sell them
- 16:01Speaker 1: in ten twelve. Come on now, I can't just get
- 16:04Speaker 1: your two nuggets. I can't do that, man. So did
- 16:12Speaker 1: you read your order on the screen? It's so discreet.
- 16:22Speaker 1: We're dealing with drive through workers. What they have to
- 16:24Speaker 1: hear every single day. Miss, you bought one large fry?
- 16:29Speaker 1: You want twenty catchups? Really? That's me? You want? You

- 18:06Speaker 1: you take it the window down? You're after workers. We
- 18:11Speaker 1: feel your fame were dealing a little bit. You go
- 18:13Speaker 1: through every day, sir, sir, ma'am, listen, we can't. This
- 18:18Speaker 1: is not where you come to book Ronald McDonald to
- 18:21Speaker 1: come to your dada's birthday party. This ain't. This ain't
- 18:24Speaker 1: the winder for that. He's not here right now, ma'am.

- 30:57Speaker 1: just took the mics to the street and see what
- 30:59Speaker 1: the people think. You know, what do they think? Would

- 52:12Speaker 1: all you need to do is field the order. Okay, Okay,

- 55:45Speaker 1: willing to sit down with Special Counsel Robert Muller and
- 55:49Speaker 1: answer questions under oath about Russian interference in the two
- 55:52Speaker 1: thousand and sixteen elections. Mother plans to questions up in
- 56:00Speaker 1: the next couple of weeks about why he fired National
- 56:02Speaker 1: Security Advisor Michael Flynn and FBI Director James Comey. Trump
- 56:08Speaker 1: says he's looking forward to speaking with Muller and his lawyers.
- 56:12Speaker 1: Trump lawyers are working on setting some rules for his testimony,
- 56:16Speaker 1: and you best believe they are. Okay, maybe Yeah. Trump
- 56:20Speaker 1: maintains there has been no collusion whatsoever, there has been
- 56:23Speaker 1: no obstruction whatsoever, because that's another thing they're trying to
- 56:27Speaker 1: charge him with obstruction of justice. Um uh. Speaking under
- 56:31Speaker 1: oath means Trump would subject himself to a perjury charge
- 56:34Speaker 1: if he lies, if any part of his testimony is
- 56:37Speaker 1: later discovered to be untruthful. Okay, that's on he does. Yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 1: if he sits down with them, it's he can't win.
- 56:50Speaker 1: He's dead because he's going to counter I'll contradict himself.
- 56:56Speaker 1: He's going to does it every time he talks. His
- 57:00Speaker 1: lawyers will be able to be there with them, Right,
- 57:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know that that's the way
- 57:04Speaker 1: it works. I don't know. I don't know. Okay, Well,
- 57:10Speaker 1: we got to watch and see and wait and see,
- 57:12Speaker 1: because he said, yeah, but if his lawyers is there,
- 57:17Speaker 1: you're gonna hear shut the truck up a whole lot
- 57:19Speaker 1: of and what the A lot of covering that mic
- 57:25Speaker 1: when a whole lot of answer that Yeah, he says,
- 57:35Speaker 1: he looks forward to it. Okay, we shall see. Wow.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I mean, it's just never a dull day you can
- 57:43Speaker 1: say that is anything positive him And as it depends, Yeah,
- 57:50Speaker 1: and it depends on who you ask, yeah, to claim
- 58:02Speaker 1: that employment is at an all time seventeen year LOWD
- 58:06Speaker 1: They're gonna talk about the g the gross gross national
- 58:10Speaker 1: product or whatever it is, it has grown quarterly. They're
- 58:15Speaker 1: gonna talk about the recent uh skyrocketing of the stock market,
- 58:23Speaker 1: you know. Uh. They're also talking about how there's fort
- 58:28Speaker 1: reduction in border crossings since he took office, and the
- 58:33Speaker 1: Republicans are claiming that that's because of his tough language.
- 58:37Speaker 1: The former president of Mexico was on TV and said
- 58:41Speaker 1: it's because Mexico has been increasingly fixing their economy bit
- 58:47Speaker 1: by bit. And there, as a fumer, it used to
- 58:51Speaker 1: be uh A really disparaging uh amount of money that
- 58:55Speaker 1: could be made in America versus Mexico. It's not anywhere
- 58:58Speaker 1: near equal anymore steal, but they've reduced it so less
- 59:02Speaker 1: people are having to go. But they're gonna they're taking
- 59:08Speaker 1: claims for all of that, and they are mad at
- 59:10Speaker 1: the Democrats and liberals and moderates for not mentioning any
- 59:17Speaker 1: of the what they claim are his accomplishments. That's the
- 59:21Speaker 1: spin they have on it, quite a spin it is.
- 59:26Speaker 1: The reality is something different. Yeah, he just needs to
- 59:30Speaker 1: be told he's great every thirty seconds. And that's his problem.
- 59:35Speaker 1: And everything one tells him, he tells itself. Yeah, that's
- 59:40Speaker 1: what Trump's problem is. No one tells him how great
- 59:43Speaker 1: he is. He tells itself, and he tells you, and
- 59:47Speaker 1: he tells you how great he is. And Obama was
- 59:52Speaker 1: just great. Everybody knew he was great, and then they
- 59:56Speaker 1: have to tell itself he knew it. Yeah, he knew it. Right.

- 1:00:30Speaker 1: and needs help. When I say crazy, I don't mean
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: that literally. It's just that his thinking and mindset is
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a little warped and he needs some assistance in getting
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: in touch with reality or maybe I just need your
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: help Steve and cracking his code so that I can
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: better understand where I fit. My uncle is forty four
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: years old, very professional executive and grandfather of two, is
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: a very knowledgeable He's very knowledgeable when it comes to
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: his job. When it comes to his thinking and personal life,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: it is a mess. For a stint. He wants to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: date my girlfriends and other women who are either my
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: age or old enough to be his daughter. It hurts
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: me because I overhear them say things like with his
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: money girl, he'd be a good sugar daddy, or how
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: they would sleep with him just so that he could
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: take care of their needs like hair, nails, clothes, etcetera,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: kids and provide other monetary support. My cousin, his son,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: and I are also the same age, and he tries
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: to put up on the female friends of my cousin's
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: girlfriends as well. It has really become embarrassing for the
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: both of us. So I don't know if my uncle
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: is asking to be used because when he meets a
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: woman or see someone he is interested in. Uh. He
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: always asked me how old do you think she is?
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: For fear that she's over thirty. He doesn't necessarily want
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: any more kids, but always claims he wants to settle
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: down at my age. Not many of us are looking
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: to be a grandma, especially being a stepmother to someone
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: our own age. If you meet someone your age that
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: loves you for you, why does it matter how old
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: they are. He never seems to be interested in women
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: around his age or women with subs, and he only
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: seems to be attracted to needy young women or who cheats.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: He looks to them for love, but they only keep
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: using and hurting him because he believes he is still
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: a player at forty four. He believes that it is
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: okay to cheat in relationships and uses the excuse that well,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: that's just the way I am. And uh, it has
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: always been that way. He has been hurt so many
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: times and has hurt others too. I am frustrated trying
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: to convince him to grow up and uh, he um
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: not taking me seriously. So Stephen Shirley, please please can
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: you help me out here? It hurts me to see
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: him getting hurt, and it aggravates me to live with him,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: expecting to come home and chill with an uncle because
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I miss being home with my dad, but instead he
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: wants to hang out with me and my friend. Please
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: help me to understand. Many thanks to you guys. I
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: love your show and love you all boy. You know
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: we don't have a lot of time. But you know,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: a forty four year old man still trying to be
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: a player. He's a grandfather. Turn in your player card.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: You're supposed to be an example to these young people, Okay,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: to your niece and your son. You really really are.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: And uh, you know some people simply refuse to grow up.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: They don't want to act their age. So uh, I know, Steve,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: you're gonna crack the code. We run out of time,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: We'll be back already, I know we'll be back. You're
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: the top of the hour, CNN's political commentator Van Jones
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: will be our special guest. But right now, Steve, let's
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: get to your response, your part to response to today's
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. I can't read this whole letter closes too long.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Let's some the letter up. In this paragraph, she wrote,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: my uncle is Farty, four years old, a very professional
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: executive and grandfather of two. He is a very knowledgeable
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: He's very knowledgeable when it comes to his job, but
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: when it comes to his thinking and personal life, it
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: is a mess. That's what this letter is about. This
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: letter is about a forty for your old man that
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: only wants to date women his niece's age and wants
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: to hang out with the niece and their friends when
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: they come by. Let me help you understand something, young
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: girl that wrote this letterer in want the cold crack
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: of the crack of cold. You have heard this before
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: and now you live with him. Ain't no fool like
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: an old fool. Let's start there. You're living with an
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: old fool. Now, this man got it together professionally, he
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: is mature. He knows how to do his job. He
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: gives our good advice. But here here's his problem. He
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: has never mentally matured, mentally socially mature. See that a
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: lot of men that could do their job, but when
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: it comes to their home like they've never mentally he's
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: socially matured. So what your uncle can't do is he
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: don't know how to have an equal adult relationship with
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: another equal. He don't know how to have this relationship
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: so to feed his male ego and his lack of
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: wisdom and understanding socially, he gets these young girls. Why
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: does an older man want a young girl? Why? Cause well,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: he gets to take his male ego and be dominating.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Get to show your things you ain't seen before. Teach
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: your things you don't know nothing about. Talk about stuff
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: you ain't hearing from. Have you always gonna wow? I
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: never thought of that. I never knew that. But your uncle,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: it's taking it a step from it. He want to
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: hang out with your friends. Now you are upset because
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you hear the girls talking about him. You you hear
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: stuff like they say, you know, with his money, girl,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: he'd be a good sugar daddy. Let's focus on the
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: term sugar das. Once a man is forty, I'm gonna
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: teach you something now, fellas, in case you don't know.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Once you are forty, you are in sugar daddy range. Hello, Hello, See,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: let me help you understand. It's just some things me
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: and can't do at a certain names, Like if you're
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: over thirty and your corn row in your hair, you
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: have to stop if you're over thirty, so you can
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: horn row your hand your twenties, but once you're thirty,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: you have to stop corn rolling your hair. I don't
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: care how convenient it is, how cool it is you look.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: You know you can't cut your initiales in your head.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Once you over twenty five, thank you. Everybody want to
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: know your name by now. Once you are foughty, you
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: are a sugar daddy. You're in sugar Daddy tantori. See fellas,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: listen to me. You've always had to pay for things
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: your whole life. Let's admit this. When you have a
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: relationship with them, you have to pay to be in
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: that relationship. You have to buy some dinners. You got
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: to wind it down to eventually get where you want,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: You're gonna have to pay for it. But see when
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: you farty folk and you're trying to get somebody twenty one,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: twenty four, twenty years your junior, you're sugar daddy. And
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: at that point, listen to me. The girl in college,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: every college student I do need something. Of course, Now,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: if you're in the picture, guess who they're gonna get
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: it from. You. You can call yourself dating them if
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you want to, but you're actually daddy in them. You're
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: not dating and starts with a D and the second
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: letter is an A. But you're not there. You're daddy.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: You keep saying dding, but you're daddy them and they
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: know you to Sugar Daddy because they already know we
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: ain't going nowhere. As soon as I get this car,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna drop this old fool. That's why your uncle
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: keep getting hurt. But your uncle keep going back in
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: for mote because he keeps going back time and time again.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: They can't hurt him enough because guess what, he ain't
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: out of money yet. What's gonna happen to him is
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Sugar Daddy gonna run up in the Candy Girl. See
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Sugar Daddy gonna run in the candy girl, and candy
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Girl is gonna be the girl that's gonna have it
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: all like sugar Daddy won't. And candy Girl is gonna
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: start draining Sugar Daddy until he wrote he gonna came
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: down to the cash. She's gonna mention trip. He gonna
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: take his job vacation at the same time his spring break.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: He's gonna just make a damn fool out of here.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: He gonna he gonna wind up buying the me out
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: a drop top. His bat behind came bally squeeze down
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: in the car. Now he riding in the car next
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: to the girl letting her drive. Got his knees all
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: up under his throat, he queezing and about to choke
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: the death, trying to ride in this drop top of me.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: It can be sexy. She's gonna take him on trips,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: wine him down, she's gonna drain him dry. Then, sugar Daddy,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: your stupid uncle, it's gonna realize I've been played all
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the way to the hill top when really he needs
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: to get a woman his own age, a grown woman
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: that he can have a life with. But the problem is, See,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: you can't boss no grown woman round. See, you're gonna
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: have to compromise with her. See what a young girl.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: You ain't got to compromise, You just pay the play.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: See I would be in the sugar daddy range. Instead
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I had to support this family. But I'm still kind
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: of sugar daddy. You know, sugar, I'm sugar daddy. Oh
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: see you want to be sugar daddy, old, you put
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: a little bit more on that. What you don't want
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: to be is sugar daddy. What starts once you lick
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: or sugar daddy down until they get close to the stick.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: You don't recognize it as a sugar daddy anymore. Just
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: when you lick or sugar daddy, sugar Daddy's come on
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: a stick. Once you lick it down to a get
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: close to the stick. It's just a sucker head day.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Oh Steve, you cold crack and you hit me odd
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: and said it all all right, Steve, you know we
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: gotta get out of here. You can email us or
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: instagram us your thoughts on today's strawberry letter at my
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Girls Shirley coming up in about ten minutes. Uh, we
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: have a warning to you, Jay Anthony Brown. Okay, you
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: learned from Flavor flames mistakes. Okay, whatever he did, we
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: don't know. But he got attacked in a casino. We'll
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: tell you about it. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: CNNs Van Jones will be our special guest. We all
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: love Mr Van Jones. Yeah, but right now, Steve, you
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: have told Jay, you have told him about going too
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: far with those your mama jokes. You've told him you
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: don't even get involved. He doesn't. Yeah, check this out.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Though Flavor. Flavor was recently treated at a Las Vegas
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: hospital after suffering some injuries due to a confrontation. Flave
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: was at the South Point Casino when he got into
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: an altercation with U Gandhi Howard. I don't know who
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: that is, but he got into an altercation with him.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: He alleges that Flav disrespected his mother. U Gandhi threw
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: the first punch and could be seen standing over Flav
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: planning punches to his face. UH. Casino security held Howard
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: until the Vegas police arrived. We don't know how Flavor
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: disrespected Howard's mother. We just know that U Gandhi said
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: that Flavor Flavor disrespected his mama, so he just went
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: in on Flav. So Jay, you see now that this
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: could cause some problems. What happened to Flav? Just jog
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Wallace's mama. This is the only mama. He always had.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: The clock on clock was not that destroyed. Stop he
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: got clock hit man never goes anywhere without the clock
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: twil thirty nine. J don't think for one second treatments
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: though in emergency. What's the chokes? Got that he choking? Yeah?
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Sometimes the mama just do go too far. Late, learned
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: his lesson. We've had a lot of CC injuries going
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: on right now what's that? Sorry, that's clock choking. Yeah,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: so George, you know, can we expect then? Then I
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: don't stop there, No, don't stop. I'm not gonna stop
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: talking about George Wallace is mama see this how they fight? No,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: it ain't even good to watch a fight with people. Well,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: you know, Steve, like you know the time they coming up.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: And I'm gonna send her a special gift. I want
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: of those walls shaving in the wall to make the
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: shavers you know, yea for her back, because her back
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: is real Harry Hay, Mama like a wilder beast, dave something. No, no,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: that's like that. You're not saying nothing. And the only
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: way you can bust bumps on her back it's with
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: vice grip. Oh my god, tighten it. Tighten it right, man, right,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: go too far? Block it. You don't have to sit.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: And then, Junior, I'm telling you you're talking about it.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: He's gonna attack Yourna. I'm telling it ain't gonna be
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: good out alone. If you're gonna get eight a lives
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: with George talking about I ain't gonna stop talking about
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: me as well. I'm not gonna stop talk about the
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: lady but beautiful lady. If you like a munchdads much that,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: if you're turned on by Munchdads, she's a beautiful person
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: just right. If you like mutton chops, she's got him.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: I do not like you right now, Jane. We thought
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: the Flavor flav story would help help. Yeah, back off round. Well,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: if you say something about that African board moment you
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: got Howard in Vegas, you gotta playing with it. Knock
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: the plants out of flavor flame head. They ain't right now.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Some people you can't do right, do it. I'm one
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: of them. So let's just you know, we're cool. I
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: almost got into it man in Detroit at that skating
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: rink when we just going through. Yeah, we remember, yeah,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: we should go to this skate world out in Detroit.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: We first got the radio show because we was in
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: full cities. Detroit was a big market. Man. And I'm
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: walking through the crowd, man and just messing with people, man,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: having a good time. We're laughing at a dude carm
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: and obviously I ain't here, Oh man, blank you and
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: your blanket mom. Man, So I don't know what. So
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I was walking so I kind of heard it, and
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: then he said it again, so I spun Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: we were there, car I remember, yeah, Pull who are
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: you talking to? I'm talking about you and your blanketed mama.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: That was it, man, I went in. I went in.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: There was so many people trying to hold me. Man,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Don I was trying to get loose. Back then, he
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: didn't have you know, all the TV shows. I damn
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: sure he didn't have all that. I could do it
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: this weekend. Let me say something to you. It lost
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Vera Harby. It's off limits. You never in my whole life,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: you can't talk about her. I'm just I ain't never
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: played it. Man, you say something about my mama. I
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: came for you. You know how many fights I haven't
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: been in by my mama. Dog And to this day
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: at sixty one, if you say something about it lost
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Vera Harvey, I want you to understand, I'm gonna try
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: to do something to you. I wasn't now I would
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: have immediate older than sixty one. But George was at
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: the first supper. He did jokes. The first supper, not
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: the last supper. Junior. We had to take our skates off,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: and he was like, take our skates off, let's go.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: You better be glad. I mean, I gotta seious with this.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: He's much better. Now. You're gonna trip just because I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: said something about you, you know, when they got us
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: all separating because I tried to get at him to

- 1:18:50Speaker 1: on the other side. What makes you so effective to
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: me is you let the people talk, but your counter,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: your counter me wicked shut it down. And then when
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: they respond, man, they just it's amazing how to spend
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: all this time. I just wanted to say thank you
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: for that. Man. Well, look I I appreciate it. And
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: you know I've been on CNN for about five years
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: and you know, uh Roland Martin was there when I
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: first got there, sold that O'Brien. I had a lot
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: of bus and sister kind of show me how to
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: do it and how to hang in there and not
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: lose your mind and not lose your cool because people
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: just want somebody just tell the truth that we don't
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: have to interrupt and screaming y'all on Holly m M.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Now when you get finished, you're still wrong and here's why.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: And so I just try to just bring it that way. Yeah,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: well man, that's that's gonna be good. Hey man, Now
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: you got the new show coming on. It's called The
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Van Jones Show, and I guess it's going to continue
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: to build on the success of The Messy Truth. Uh.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: You gotta feature political and cultural guests, and you're gonna
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: how light your unique, your unique take on the administration.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: So tell us about the new show. Van. Well, look,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I'm about the show because I feel like, you know,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: during the week, it's just so crazy and you know,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: every ten minutes is another tweet some other nonsense, and
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: people just can't keep up. I want to have a
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: show at the end of the week. It's a Saturday show,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: give us a chance to reflect a little bit. I'm
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I'm not just bringing political leaders on as well. I'm
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: bringing on pop you know figures. You know, Jay Z
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: is my first guest, you know, and because you know, uh,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: when Trump came on to seeing pop culture took over politics,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: but now politives politicially taking over pop culture. All these
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: you know, sports figures and have a lot to say.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I want to bring them on seeing then give them
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: an opportunity to speak out and be heard. I'm also
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: going out into the country. I'm talking to everybody left right, blue, space,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: red states, every kind of human being and let people
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: speak for themselves. We talk about people all too often,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: but sometimes we can let people talk for themselves. So
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: I think the show is gonna be very refreshing because
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: it's gonna be a lot of grassroots words. If you
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: don't hear that much in cable news, some pop star
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: and people who have something meaningful to say, you don't
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: hear from that much. And also just some perspective. You know,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: we can't let this this period drive us crazy and
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: just turn us into into like battling idiots just because
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: the guy in the White House has a d D
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: and its and it's crazy. We don't have to be
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: that way. Yeah, you know what you said, something you
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: said during the week, It is sort of crazy. Man.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: You wanted to take it and allow some people to talk.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: But let me ask you this, man, have you ever
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: seen the divisiveness that's in the country now? And no,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: I haven't. And you know, I think it's it's really
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: really important for us to realize, you know, this year,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: we finally get a chance to vote again. You know,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: this is a year. You know, last time, I think
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: we kind of sat back. You know, when Obama was
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: running two thousand and eight, both worked hard. Two thousand twelve,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: folks work hard, people went to different states, people did
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: own banks, people were I think last time we just
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: kind of took this dude as a joke. So we
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: finally not get a chance to show what we can
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: do when we all come together. It's hard to beat us.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: But you know, he's trying to keep us divide and
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: keep us distracting. My show is going to be a
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: place where people who really want to have an in
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: charging conversation, a positive conversation, but a serious conversation can come.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: You know, we know that this is not how things
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: are supposed to be, but we didn't come as strong
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: as we were supposed to. Um, but you're you're not crazy. Uh,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: this is some crazy mess we've never seen before. Last question,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you go, man, because we're all gonna
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: tune in for the show and I'm gonna give it
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: another plug. But let me ask you this. Man, when
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I watched CNN, it is amazing. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the biggest news story can be docta. Fox won't mention it.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: The biggest news story can be that he made the
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: s whole comment. Fox won't mention it. And if they do,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: it'll be some people come in and saying he didn't
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: mean it that way. I'm watching this, man, and man,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: I don't even know what to say. Man, when when
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: you hear people say this, this is what amazes me.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I'm not surprised that he said that. I don't get that.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man, I'm shocked. Yeah, damn it.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Every time old boy opened his mouth. I'm really stunned. Man.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: But though, because you know, we shouldn't adapt to absurdity.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I mean, just cause something as a third, you know,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Monday and Wednesday, and then it's still a third on Friday. Okay,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: come on, thank you. You know we shouldn't adapt to
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: absurd stuff. Um. I think it's important. I think, you know,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: we we're living almost in the tail of two countries.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: If you watch one station, it's just all the stock
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: market is good, and the tax cuts coming and blah
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: blah blah blah and and and that's the only thing
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: they want to talk about. You know, but you know,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: other places really are concerned about and your economy can
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: come up and your society can come apart at the
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: same time. So just because it's stock market is doing
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: well doesn't mean America is doing well with more than
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: just the stock market. And so you know, they're trying
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: to handle and contain and all these different factors is
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: a challenge for us now. And that's why I'm glad
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: to have my own show, so I can try to
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: get into it a little bit at a deeper level
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: and I don't have to just be in this this
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: fight food fight every day, every second of every day
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: about the tweets as they come. Well, it's this Sad
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Day everybody at seven pm on CNN, and just to
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: let you all know, tune in this Saturday. Let's make
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: it a big hit, everybody, because Iconic start jay Z
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: jay Z pop culture phenomen will be his first guest.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: This ought to be good. So this Saturday night on CNN,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: everybody and seven to dat. If you have party in
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: such a DVR and watching the next morning, it's gonna
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: be good. Hey Van, good luck to you man, Thank
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: you very much. Brother. All right, you're listening. Steve Harvey
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, great interviews, Steve, and we will
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: be watching Vans show tomorrow night. It's called The Van
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Jones Show tomorrow night on CNN. Alright, countdown is on
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: for the big game, the Eagles versus the Patriots. Now
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: here's some of the Super Bowl fifty two's prop bets. Okay,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: last year, over four point seven billion was gambled on
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: the Super Bowl, with that number expected to increase. This
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: year is gonna go up, so of course some of
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: that money will be wagered on this year's prop bets,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: which includes the color of Bill Belichick's hoodie. People bet
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: on that, yes they do. Uh, I don't know. I
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: don't know. The company that airs the first commercial? Who's
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: that going to be at the gate? Uh huh? Total
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: number of Donald Trump tweets during the game will probably
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: be a lot of those, over and under two point
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: five tweets um total number fan Though he's a golfer,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I thought it was a football big football fan. Didn't
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: he try bio? Yeah? Yeah, that don't make a big one.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: But he dubbed tweeting Rush Limbaugh tried to buy team,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: they shut down keeping the game. Who's that league that
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: Trump started back in the day, the NFL, the Football
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: League was it the World Football League or something like
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: that WFL. I had the Stallions in it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: I'm looking into a lingerate team. That seems to me
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: your marriages are so much it's the truth. They write
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: that down for the met He tried extreme. Yeah, extreme.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: They're never going to meet Carla fallast to what he's doing.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: I keeping teams? What's wrong with That't have nobody doing that?
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: I got about twelve sets of panties and I got

- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Do you have twelve sets? Spanis just sitting around for
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: a lingeriate team? I buy that? What you what is?
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: What's wrong? He doesn't have time for you ain't got
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: money for a new car? Should you talk about about it?
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: Damn team folk your background check and find out what
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: you did about with your money? All damn us maserad
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: is he goos ra? Damn Nah? He's looking at a

- 1:27:31Speaker 1: That is here? Is it? Yes? His life is here.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: What they're got to do with it? I got transports, right,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm just I'm not paying for shipping. That's
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Oh Shore, you wonder why I look
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: at your ship? How much more for a car on it?
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: How many? Uh? What's your what? Y is that? It
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: don't matter to you, man, it's the body. Don't mad
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: at the year? They all looked a sup. He want
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: to hunt it? My car ain't got ten thousand miles
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: on it actually might tear. Yeah, yeah, but if you
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: take it, don't be going to him if something goes
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: wrong or anything. You know, man, I hate that. Yeah,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: take it at yours, don't call me about anything. He
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: only want a hunt it full times? How about here
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: and half a dog? Just that sound like I'm about
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: to have a road ruger life. Now it's pretty all right. Listen,
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: I'm going back coming up. The dog flu is spreading.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Pet owners beware. We'll talk about that when we come
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: back at thirty three after the hour. Pitch. You're listening
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Carlos, Steve, you
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: guys are dog owners, dog lovers. Yes, there's a recent
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: outbreak on the dog flew. Okay, I didn't even know
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: there was such a thing. Uh, Puppies across the United
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: States have literally been getting sick as a dog. I
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: mean literally getting sick as a dog due to K
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: nine flew uh this this past year. In the past
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: forty five days, more than a hundred dogs have tested
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: positive for the virus, including seventy two in California alone. Okay,
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: you they don't have ITTGLF. That's how they greed each
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: little college. I want to trade school. But if you
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: have a habit of constantly licking, you'll say, do you
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: have to say it? Like, got your mouth all around
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: somebody else's tail and you'll smell somebody else's. But you
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: found the kids. That's their thing. That's what animals do
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: that do it. Well, if they got some, you're gonna
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: get it right away. They contact points you close. There
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: are cases in Georgia and the southeast parts of the
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: country to h Yeah. But but here's some good news.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: So I do have good news for the dog lovers
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: out there. The dogs can get vaccinated. Okay, yeah, they
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: can't like humans, Yeah they can. They Dogs with the
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: flu have the same symptoms as humans, coughing, sneezing, running nose,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: and eyes. They have the same symptoms, and they can
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: spread the flu to other dogs or cats by barking,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: but they can't split. This is in case you're wondering,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: they cannot spread it to humans. Okay, I'll tell you
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, to be out of here, to be
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: down there Friday. Just take care of your pat It's
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: gonna be in a shelter with some pressure on. You
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: want to go? Do you want to go home? Would
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: you want to do what? You ain't going? The dog?
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: You're a dirty black This black dude right here watches here,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: he's gonna start. I'mna range my like I'm gonna be
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: hard as I can't right in his mouth while he
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: gets kate learning. You won't have in your mouth. I
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: know you do. And then you want to go. What's
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: your next? Good as good? You're not going because you
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: have the ugly jay so mean? So is there anything
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: you can to prevent? Yeah, you can take him to
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: the vet and get some mesic. Fancy, I'm gonna take
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: her to the vet. I don't want my baby to
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: get sick. You're gonna take your dog to the vet
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: to do what to get evascination or for her to
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: get checked out, to make sure they have a vascination. Yeah,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: I just said that. Yeah, they can be exasconated. Yeah,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: you should do the same. All right, we're just going
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: to leave it right there. We're just gonna leave it
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: right there and come back to close up this ignorant show.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: here we go the end of the show. We've made
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: it last break of the day. What a day it
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: has been to UH. As mentioned as Steve has brought
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: us closing remarks back, we um love to hear your
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: inspirational closing remarks, Steve, your motivational closing remarks, and I
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: got one for you today. I UM. I think it's
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: important that everybody, everybody really really up your expectations in
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: two thousand eighteen. I mean really really focusing focus on
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: upping your expectations for two thousands eighteen. UH, this year
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: really put a positive twist on your life. You can
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: do that, man, you can. You can up your expectations.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: You have to say so in your outcome. But you
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: have to adjust the attitude. You've got to think positive.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: You've gotta focus on the positive things that's happening in
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: your life. You have to take inventory constantly of everything
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: that's going right in your life. Stop focusing on the negative.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Everybody got something wrong. That's not a person living that
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: ain't got something wrong. So what Yeah you got something wrong.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: Yeah you're not where you wanna be, But guess what
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: you can be on your way. And that's the thing
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: that people lose focus of. Sometimes they get so caught
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: up into where they are now that they lose focus
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: on the where they could be going, where you're headed,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: where you're at now. Let me explain something to you
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: about right now. Right now is a very fleeting moment
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: because let's say you're talking about something now, do you know,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: in in just want sixty seconds, is now a part
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: of the past. It doesn't matter where you are, it's
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: where you're going. Don't get stuck in where you are.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: Somebody sent me a plaque one time, and I keep
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: it on my desk in Atlanta, and I was going
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: through a real, real, real dog period in my life.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: And he's a friend of mine, and he knew it.
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: He's an accountant, as a matter of fact, is Rogers
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: Salted And I'm saying my financial in Chicago, and he
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: knew I was going through a dog dog period in
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: my life, and he sent me a plaque and I
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: keep it on my desk, and the plaque said, when
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: you're going through hell, just keep going. And that registered
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: with me, because why would you be going through hell
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: and stop there? So you're just gonna put it on
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: park in the middle of hell? Or doesn't make sense
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: to keep going because it just ties into what I'm
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: telling you. It doesn't matter where you are, it's where
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: you're going. You've got to get your focus on on
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: on on two thousand and eighteen to move in the
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: right direction. I'm gonna give you this scripture again in
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: case all. It's something I read all the time. It's
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: He Feeds three twenty and I read it every day.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: You know, I memorize it. But it says God will
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: do exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask a
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: think because I honor Him, his blessings will chase me
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: down and overtake me. I will be in the right
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: place at the right time. People will go out of
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: their way to be good to me. I am surrounded
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: by God's favor. This is my declaration. If you read
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: this every day and you implement this once again, it's
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: he feeds your three twenty. Now, I I got the
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: you know Bible with the four different translations in it,
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: so I can understand what I'm saying. So this is
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: not the King James version I gave you. It's a
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: translation of what it actually means. But memorizing the scription
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: for how what it means is what you need. You
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: don't gotta go word for word. You need to get
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: the meaning of it. Don't trip on that other part
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: right there. But if you incorporate this in your life
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: on a day to day, you'd be amazed. What can
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: happen to you. You all can put your life into
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: the realm of expectation. I expect good things to happen
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: to me. Even when something bad happens to me, I
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: still look for something good to happen to me, and
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: it always does. I don't care what mistake I made.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: God has always gotten me through it, and He's done
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: the exact same thing for you. He's always gotten you
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: through it. Just look at your life. All that stuff
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: you thought you wasn't gonna make it through, He got you, man,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: He pulled you through it somehow. All the days you
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: didn't think you was gonna make it. You remember where
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: you was, and then look at where you at now. Now.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: If you think that you're in a worse place now
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: than you were in your past, why don't you get
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: back to that expect something good to happen to you.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Live a life filled with positive expectations. Don't do not
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: bury yourself by going through hell and then staying there.
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: Some people cannot get out of their misery because they
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: won't quit acknowledging the misery. Look, if the Bible says
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: a man is as he's thinking, and all you ever
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: think is old woe is me, then guess what old
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: woe is me? But if you look for the upside,
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: the bright side, if you look for and they live
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: a life and expectation that there are some good out
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: there for you, then good comes your way. It's that's
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: the way it is. That's not a theory of mine.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: That's a promise of God. I ain't up in his
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: spear and nothing I think I'd have seen this stuff
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: work for me. You know how many public mistakes I've made.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: Y'all been watching me, y'all. Y'all has been fans of
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: minds for years. You all have seen the evolution of me. Now,
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: he ain't through with me yet. But you've seen me
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: back when I was this, when I was that, when
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: I made that mistake, when I made this mistake. But
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: you know what, I never allowed the mistakes to bury
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: me or define me. I expected something good to happen.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: And guess what I've recovered from them all. He's pulled
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: me through them all. Hit through the same thing for you.
