- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby, uh huh, I show will good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show. Man o man o, man Hey, you know
- 2:17Speaker 1: to date, I just want to say something um um
- 2:23Speaker 1: that I don't think I've ever shared this way before. Um.
- 2:30Speaker 1: The title is very simple, and that is it's been
- 2:37Speaker 1: worth it to me, you know I I just I
- 2:43Speaker 1: just kept thinking that this morning, that it's all been
- 2:47Speaker 1: worth it to me. And what I mean by that
- 2:51Speaker 1: is this relationship that I have with my heavenly father,
- 2:57Speaker 1: it's been worth it to me. I can't even tell
- 3:02Speaker 1: you the value that it has had in my life.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I can't tell you how it's helped me to understand
- 3:15Speaker 1: not only my purpose, but to better understand my past.
- 3:23Speaker 1: That's that's that's critical. Man, because I'm grateful for that,
- 3:28Speaker 1: because so many people can't get beyond their past and
- 3:33Speaker 1: event a set of circumstances, some calamity that besets them.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Maybe it's been grief something, but it ties so many
- 3:42Speaker 1: people up. It's been so worth it to me it, man,
- 3:50Speaker 1: it's it's been worth having someone to go to when
- 3:57Speaker 1: no one else was there. Do you do you understand
- 4:02Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It has It has given me a
- 4:05Speaker 1: place to go when no one else has been there. Oh,
- 4:13Speaker 1: hey man, we're pulling for you. Hey man, hanging there,
- 4:16Speaker 1: Hey man, keep your head up. All of that. But
- 4:21Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man, you get yourself in some
- 4:24Speaker 1: circumstances and situations in this thing called life when no
- 4:28Speaker 1: one can help you but God, When the only person
- 4:32Speaker 1: that could possibly understand or know what you're feeling is God.
- 4:37Speaker 1: The only person that I'll sit there with you through
- 4:40Speaker 1: it all and understand everything about it has been God.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It's been worth it to me, man, It's it's been
- 4:50Speaker 1: worth it to me. It's been the biggest improvement in
- 4:56Speaker 1: my life. I mean, man, as I look back over
- 4:59Speaker 1: my life, life and forming a strong bond with God
- 5:05Speaker 1: has been the most beneficial thing to me. You know
- 5:09Speaker 1: these things you read in your in your in your
- 5:12Speaker 1: in writings in the Bible or or whatever you're reading.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You know when you when you read scriptures and things
- 5:19Speaker 1: of that nature. It it's it's been around a long time.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It holds so much truth to it. I mean, man,
- 5:30Speaker 1: it's like, how could this have been written so long
- 5:33Speaker 1: ago and still pertain directly to today? I mean that
- 5:41Speaker 1: that's amazing. That is amazing to me. That. I mean,
- 5:46Speaker 1: that has to be God at work to have written
- 5:49Speaker 1: something so complete, so dead on point that if you
- 5:57Speaker 1: read it today it means exactly what pertains to today.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That's amazing, man. That's why, my spiritual walker, it's just
- 6:12Speaker 1: worth it to me, And I keep saying it's worth it,
- 6:15Speaker 1: because if you're sitting out there and you're tripping like
- 6:18Speaker 1: I was tripping, deciding now let me do it. I
- 6:21Speaker 1: got a few more things I want to do, a
- 6:23Speaker 1: couple more girls I want to hoil at, couple more
- 6:26Speaker 1: things I want to get into. I got a couple
- 6:27Speaker 1: more deals I want to do. I got a little
- 6:29Speaker 1: bit more dirt. I want to roll up on me
- 6:31Speaker 1: a little bit. First, for while, man, I wish I
- 6:33Speaker 1: had known I really wish I had understood exactly what
- 6:38Speaker 1: forming a relationship with God would do for me. It's
- 6:43Speaker 1: been worth every person who out there who hating on me,
- 6:48Speaker 1: that don't even know me, it's because I have a
- 6:52Speaker 1: relationship with Him that I'm fine with that, or I
- 6:55Speaker 1: don't care for it. But it ain't gonna stop me though. See,
- 7:00Speaker 1: because I know for a fact that haters make you greater.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I know for a fact that haters validate your mere existence.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I know for a fact that half of them is
- 7:15Speaker 1: out of envy and jealousy because of something you're doing
- 7:18Speaker 1: that they wish they could do or they won't credit for,
- 7:23Speaker 1: so they just now anything all that bam and now
- 7:26Speaker 1: you just all over the place with people. Man, I'm
- 7:29Speaker 1: so grateful for this relationship that it has not allowed
- 7:35Speaker 1: outside influences that do not have my best interests at
- 7:39Speaker 1: hard to throw me off. Course. It has just been
- 7:44Speaker 1: worth it. And if you're sitting out there and you're
- 7:47Speaker 1: wondering about the benefits of it, I can't even tell
- 7:51Speaker 1: you what it's like to know that when bad things
- 7:55Speaker 1: are happening to me, the calming piece that I feel
- 7:59Speaker 1: that I know that that's gonna be all right too,
- 8:03Speaker 1: that I know that this tool shall pass. That I
- 8:06Speaker 1: know in my heart of hearts, man, that there's got
- 8:10Speaker 1: to be a reason for this. And if I can
- 8:12Speaker 1: just hang on in there, he gonna unfold that from
- 8:15Speaker 1: me and he gonna let me see it. But the
- 8:17Speaker 1: number one thing I always know is I'm gonna survive
- 8:20Speaker 1: this one too, that this tool shall pass. It has
- 8:24Speaker 1: been worth it to me, man, to have this thing
- 8:28Speaker 1: called faith, which is the belief in things that you
- 8:30Speaker 1: cannot see, and to know man along the way that,
- 8:34Speaker 1: oh my goodness, man, even though I don't know who's next,
- 8:38Speaker 1: or even I'm not really sure about the next step,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I do know for a fact that Somemoe is coming.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I do know for a fact. It is a fact
- 8:49Speaker 1: that God will take care of me. It is a
- 8:53Speaker 1: fact that he will never ever leave me or desert me.
- 8:57Speaker 1: If I just stay here while I'm supposed to be.
- 9:01Speaker 1: He's coming. The Calvary's coming over the hill. He coming
- 9:04Speaker 1: over the hill, and when he come over that hill,
- 9:06Speaker 1: he's gonna wipe out all this mess down here. That's
- 9:09Speaker 1: that's trying to hurt me, that that I don't have
- 9:12Speaker 1: to worry about my enemies anymore that my enemies that
- 9:16Speaker 1: are all around you can surround me. You can shoot
- 9:20Speaker 1: all the arrows you want. That's not to say that
- 9:23Speaker 1: none of them ain't gonna come close. And I ain't
- 9:26Speaker 1: gonna say that, you know, I ain't gonna be a
- 9:29Speaker 1: little under some pressure, a little nervous about being shot
- 9:32Speaker 1: at so hard. But at the end of the day,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I noticed, for show, ain't none of them gonna stick
- 9:37Speaker 1: in me. You can shoot them, but ain't none of
- 9:40Speaker 1: them gonna stick in me. No matter what you do,
- 9:44Speaker 1: no weapon formed against me, nothing you can't. You can't
- 9:50Speaker 1: do nothing with me. Man, I'm so cool. It's been
- 9:54Speaker 1: worth it for me. Man, you're listening, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It is here to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Us upon us.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Now listen to me today. I've made a conscientious decision
- 10:09Speaker 1: that I was going to be a little different today.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm gonna be more ignorant than
- 10:17Speaker 1: I was yesterday, but I have decided that I will
- 10:20Speaker 1: interject a level of humor that would be a very
- 10:25Speaker 1: brightening moment and morning for everybody. So I'm just going
- 10:29Speaker 1: to eject a lot more humor in this morning Shirley
- 10:32Speaker 1: Strawberry callin for real, Mississippi, Monica, Junior kill Space, a nephew,
- 10:38Speaker 1: Timy the Legend, and myself, Junior, what's on your mind
- 10:42Speaker 1: this morning? You know, I was thinking about something. You know,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you travel all the time, and travel all the time.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You take us out of all trips and stuff. I
- 10:50Speaker 1: just thought about this. If we had a Morning Show
- 10:52Speaker 1: crew trip cross country from New York to LA just
- 10:57Speaker 1: in the car. Would you be able to take it
- 11:01Speaker 1: in a car and a call? No? No, no private jets,
- 11:05Speaker 1: just you in the car with up who was get
- 11:07Speaker 1: on your nerves first, anybody that was breathing. I can't
- 11:14Speaker 1: sit in a car all the way. Let me say
- 11:19Speaker 1: something that living in a car has kind of killed
- 11:22Speaker 1: my desire to be in a car for an extended
- 11:24Speaker 1: period of time. If I'm in a car for eight hours,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I started thinking I'm living hill and I can't relieve
- 11:33Speaker 1: none of that. If I'm in a car more than
- 11:35Speaker 1: four hours, it gets to be like a This is
- 11:38Speaker 1: starting a little feel permanent, and I started, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 1: my butt star teaming. If I'm in a car, I'm
- 11:46Speaker 1: telling you four hours and I ain't been at If
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm in a call four hours, something in me starts going.
- 11:51Speaker 1: This is starting to feel permanent. You need to get out.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Call Marjorie, make sure you still got a home. Yeah, yeah, No,
- 12:02Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't think we should do that. We
- 12:05Speaker 1: can't do that. You can't take Charlie's dream machine with us.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We can't do it in a winning bag. We can't
- 12:11Speaker 1: do it on a tour bus. None. We need to
- 12:14Speaker 1: get on these planes and just get to the next city.
- 12:20Speaker 1: But now if I was to do it and we
- 12:23Speaker 1: had everybody had their own bus or something like, I
- 12:26Speaker 1: don't know how to work. If we leave New York,
- 12:29Speaker 1: YA gotta stop in Baltimore the DMV. We got to
- 12:33Speaker 1: come down swayn. We got to see Phillip Phillies A
- 12:37Speaker 1: must stop w Das we leave Philly, we got to
- 12:40Speaker 1: get on Cross start heading our waiting for Washington, DC.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That damn w HU are Once you come out of
- 12:49Speaker 1: that Heritage station in DC. We gotta stop down through Virginia.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Coach they with us down there Richmond, all that swing
- 12:57Speaker 1: pass Hampton and all that. They were just head on
- 13:00Speaker 1: over to Charlotte. We gotta swing through Charlotte. Now I'm
- 13:03Speaker 1: a double back I'm a double back out. I leave
- 13:06Speaker 1: Charlotte because like I sway back down through Columbia and
- 13:08Speaker 1: something to the big DM. But I got to go
- 13:11Speaker 1: up through Charlotte. Come down through that, right, you know
- 13:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Come can you on trip? Now? Boy,
- 13:16Speaker 1: that's what I do. Come down Charlotte, you go down there.
- 13:19Speaker 1: MIS were swaying through a gust. I can't leave a
- 13:21Speaker 1: gust out because I did my greatest comedy, especially in
- 13:23Speaker 1: Gust at the bail all the toime. We're on the twenty. Now.
- 13:26Speaker 1: We just came out of Columbia on the twenty swain on.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Now we're in atl Now, I might have to stay
- 13:31Speaker 1: that for a while. I say, a house in the
- 13:33Speaker 1: fifth problem here right there and continue next all right,
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour of
- 13:39Speaker 1: the Nephew and run that brank back right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time now
- 13:47Speaker 1: to start your morning off with run that prank back
- 13:49Speaker 1: and the Nephew Nephew? What you got for us today, Sharlette,
- 13:53Speaker 1: we got to church us. Shut. Everybody knows about the
- 13:56Speaker 1: Church us. Shall everybody knows church Us. You don't play
- 14:01Speaker 1: the church us cat dog if you would Hello, Hello,
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your sister. This is how you doing.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Good good evening to you, ma'am. I don't mean to
- 14:14Speaker 1: be giving you a call this late in the evening,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but I I am the new youth minister. I haven't.
- 14:20Speaker 1: My name is Sean Williams over at Missionary Baptist Church,
- 14:23Speaker 1: which mine is new youth. What happened to um? He's
- 14:29Speaker 1: no longer with the church anymore? Man? No, well, I'm
- 14:35Speaker 1: not at liberty to speak up on that. But but
- 14:38Speaker 1: what I was doing is getting around and making sure
- 14:41Speaker 1: I met everyone because I haven't met everyone yet and
- 14:44Speaker 1: I wanted to reach out to um everyone at the church.
- 14:48Speaker 1: But listen, let me let me get down to some
- 14:50Speaker 1: more business. Because I've spoken with the pastor. Uh we spoke, yes, Bishop, Yes, man,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I know you knew for this Bishop, Okay. I spoke
- 15:03Speaker 1: with him on yesterday, and we have narrowed some things
- 15:07Speaker 1: down over a few changes we're going to be making
- 15:09Speaker 1: at the church. And what we want to do is um.
- 15:12Speaker 1: One of the major subjects that have come up sus
- 15:15Speaker 1: toles that we're wanting you if at all possible, and
- 15:19Speaker 1: the deacons. We're in on this meeting as well, but
- 15:22Speaker 1: wanting you to change your attitude when people are coming
- 15:26Speaker 1: in and you're seating them. From my understanding, it's gotten
- 15:28Speaker 1: to the point where they think you're wait wait wait
- 15:30Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait a minute, wait a minute, thank you,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I've had a meeting on me. Well, it wasn't a meeting.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I don't understand. Listen here, I've been ushering on that
- 15:39Speaker 1: on a usher board for forty seven years. I am
- 15:42Speaker 1: the singer usher on that usher board, and I lily,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I've been trying to be nuts about it. But I
- 15:47Speaker 1: don't understand how y'all don't have a meeting without me,
- 15:50Speaker 1: that's all. But now you're gonna call him and tell
- 15:54Speaker 1: me that you having a meeting on me about me
- 15:57Speaker 1: being nice always. Well, man, that doesn't seem to be
- 16:02Speaker 1: a problem with that, sound as you twenty seven man,
- 16:06Speaker 1: And they're gonna sit some bo to call me. You
- 16:09Speaker 1: know this don't make no type of what one? What
- 16:13Speaker 1: is it? Well? What that's actually my call, man, is
- 16:16Speaker 1: that maybe we figured if I would call and speak
- 16:18Speaker 1: with you about the matter, that maybe we can get
- 16:21Speaker 1: to some type of rectifying this situation to where we can.
- 16:25Speaker 1: We're gonna rectify here. I'm gonna rectify. You calling me
- 16:29Speaker 1: this time a night taught my some meeting. Just don't
- 16:33Speaker 1: make no time. I don't apprestionate you calling me any
- 16:36Speaker 1: time a night. What away is, Bishop? I need to
- 16:39Speaker 1: speak the bishop that actually I've been at this church
- 16:44Speaker 1: a part of seven years. I would say, oh, my life,
- 16:47Speaker 1: this don't make no type of sense. You're calling me
- 16:49Speaker 1: here with this mess often to make me cause I'm
- 16:52Speaker 1: trying to be a question. But y'all not gonna ask
- 16:55Speaker 1: me to be a Christian. You just gonna just gonna
- 16:57Speaker 1: agitate me with this mess me about something be nice.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Remember that's something that they're having problems when you're seating
- 17:04Speaker 1: the people, and that's all that we're trying to get rectified.
- 17:07Speaker 1: People don't want to sit down. They want to go
- 17:09Speaker 1: over here, they want to go over there. They want
- 17:11Speaker 1: to have the children runner too, And so it's like
- 17:13Speaker 1: a bunch of demons a while he's bucking around in
- 17:16Speaker 1: a church like they ain't got no sense. And I'm
- 17:18Speaker 1: not gonna have it in my section. My section is
- 17:21Speaker 1: gonna be straight. And I understand. Let you know what,
- 17:23Speaker 1: since the h I think if we did this, if
- 17:27Speaker 1: you would do me a favor and hold your phone,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and if you would just bow your head right now
- 17:31Speaker 1: for me, maybe we can come to get to get
- 17:34Speaker 1: the man. What am I bound my head for? I
- 17:37Speaker 1: ain't a clean baby. If we can get your lords,
- 17:42Speaker 1: it's clean, it's hospital carpet. It don't make nob What
- 17:45Speaker 1: if I bow my head, if you could, maybe if
- 17:47Speaker 1: you could close your eyes since I want close, I said,
- 17:52Speaker 1: you call me and walk out of my sleet with
- 17:54Speaker 1: this mass coll my I'm meeting. I am very annoyed
- 17:57Speaker 1: at this, and I don't appreciate it. I'm gonna tell
- 17:59Speaker 1: you right now, I'm gonna speak now. Father. We asked
- 18:02Speaker 1: that you look down up on Sistick. We asked that
- 18:04Speaker 1: you look down upon her right now, right now, asking
- 18:09Speaker 1: that you put a smile on her face on Sunday morning,
- 18:12Speaker 1: asking that you put some joy in her heart on
- 18:15Speaker 1: Sunday morning. And I can let you draw all the
- 18:17Speaker 1: pain that she in the angles that she might be
- 18:20Speaker 1: going through, whatever demon there is inside. We asked that
- 18:23Speaker 1: you draw that demon out. We asked that you pour
- 18:27Speaker 1: that demon went away from siste right now. In your name.
- 18:31Speaker 1: We ask all of these blessings to come, because I
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't appreciate this. Boy. I don't even know who you is.
- 18:37Speaker 1: My high number. A pastor gave me the number one
- 18:40Speaker 1: and asked me to call I am like I said,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I'm Sean Williams. We haven't met yet, and I am
- 18:44Speaker 1: the news. Listen. He don't, he don't, he don't ask
- 18:46Speaker 1: that way. And it's Bishop. For the third time. I've
- 18:50Speaker 1: told you, boy, Bishop, be respectful of the folks. Let
- 18:54Speaker 1: me let me let me say this right here, sister,
- 18:57Speaker 1: and maybe this will shed some light on things a
- 19:01Speaker 1: little bit clearer. I'm tind of listening you. Boy ahead,
- 19:04Speaker 1: this is nephew Timmy from Steve Harvey Morning Show. You
- 19:07Speaker 1: just got pranked by sister who is also an usher

- 20:51Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's asked the clo with the cheap
- 20:54Speaker 1: love Officer Steve Harvey and the building ready for your
- 20:57Speaker 1: love questions. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 21:02Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. And entertainment news. Beyonce
- 21:05Speaker 1: is in talks to perform at the Oscars. Oh yes,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and that's good news, right, And Russell Wilson and Sierra
- 21:13Speaker 1: surprised a Colorado children's hospital the patients there. Plus in
- 21:18Speaker 1: trending headline news, here we go again. Oh boy, Kenosha,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Wisconsin cop put his knee on the neck of a
- 21:26Speaker 1: twelve year old girl. We'll talk about all of these
- 21:28Speaker 1: stories at the top of the hour. Yeah, but right
- 21:31Speaker 1: now it is time to ask the clo as we
- 21:34Speaker 1: switch gears Aaron and Lansing Rights. My father borrowed money
- 21:39Speaker 1: from me to get some dental work done, and he
- 21:41Speaker 1: told me it was a necessity. I found out he
- 21:45Speaker 1: he had cosmetic work done to impress a woman he's
- 21:47Speaker 1: been going out with. He said he'll pay me back
- 21:50Speaker 1: when he gets his tax return. I want to put
- 21:52Speaker 1: him on blast in front of the woman. Would I
- 21:54Speaker 1: be wrong? Yeah? Yeah, you'd be wrong. Yeah, yeah, you'd
- 21:59Speaker 1: be wrong. And she probably noticed it. Anyway. You know,
- 22:03Speaker 1: your daddy mouth was shot in shot for years. All
- 22:07Speaker 1: of a sudden here and that he got it. He
- 22:09Speaker 1: gotta he got TV smile nah he he magazine ready.
- 22:14Speaker 1: The woman gonna notice it. But why would you put
- 22:17Speaker 1: him on blast? It was necessary, cosmetic diental surgery is necessary.
- 22:22Speaker 1: People like to feel good about how they look. There's
- 22:25Speaker 1: nothing wrong with that. But why would you put your
- 22:26Speaker 1: daddy on blast though that's not gonna get your money back.
- 22:32Speaker 1: What is it with people who think if they put
- 22:35Speaker 1: somebody on blast, that's paid back. Dadda showed him Na
- 22:42Speaker 1: man the shell, Daddy he needed some dinner work. Yeah,
- 22:44Speaker 1: he want to impress the woman he dating with. Who
- 22:46Speaker 1: don't women want to impress me and they dating with?
- 22:50Speaker 1: That's the game. Show your dad a little respect, man.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Your dad has probably done some things for you and
- 22:55Speaker 1: you didn't pay him back. I would just think that, Yes,
- 22:58Speaker 1: just like Steve the other night with the dentist, the
- 23:02Speaker 1: cosmetic dentterest remember that. Oh you're talking about the lady
- 23:06Speaker 1: that fixed her mama's teeth. Man, that that case, right,
- 23:12Speaker 1: But her mama was out lined. Her mamma was out line.
- 23:20Speaker 1: If you saw the stuff that we couldn't record what
- 23:22Speaker 1: they want to say? Oh wow? Oh really? Oh this
- 23:28Speaker 1: sister was tripping. Man, she was talking so street. Oh
- 23:35Speaker 1: really because she was from Chicago. Oh well, that's why
- 23:38Speaker 1: everybody don't need no good team. See, they get them
- 23:40Speaker 1: and they act crazy. But moving on to Dominique and Teanecks. Dominique, Right,
- 23:49Speaker 1: so I'm a thirty year old pregnant woman and I'm
- 23:52Speaker 1: having an affair with a married man, but he's not
- 23:54Speaker 1: the father of my child. I told him recently that
- 23:57Speaker 1: if I'm that I'm having a baby, and he wants
- 23:59Speaker 1: to know who the father is. The father is his
- 24:02Speaker 1: thirty two year old stepson, and it will start a
- 24:06Speaker 1: war if I tell him? Should I keep this to
- 24:09Speaker 1: my god? What women? Lady, lady? Okay, Dominique, holo, you're
- 24:18Speaker 1: pregn you're seeing a married man. Yeah, you're pregnant. The
- 24:25Speaker 1: married man wants to know from you who's the father
- 24:27Speaker 1: of the baby. You know it's not his because you
- 24:31Speaker 1: know it's his stepson's Who is who is the father? Oh?
- 24:38Speaker 1: To messy to massy, Dominique, what's wrong with you? Can
- 24:45Speaker 1: you understand the pendicament you are in? It's gonna start
- 24:48Speaker 1: a war. Do you understand what's going to happen in
- 24:51Speaker 1: your life? The child's life? Man, most important. I'll bencerned
- 24:58Speaker 1: with the wrong stuff. Yeah, this is gonna start a war.
- 25:03Speaker 1: You started the war, that's right, you know, Domini. I'm
- 25:09Speaker 1: not here to bash you, but you're sleeping with the
- 25:12Speaker 1: married man. Then you turn around and slept with the
- 25:16Speaker 1: married man stepson. Doing way too much. I ain't got enough.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Next question, All right, Lindsay and Pensacola says, I'm married
- 25:26Speaker 1: to a police officer and he's an overnight patrolman for
- 25:29Speaker 1: extra money. One of his co workers works as a
- 25:32Speaker 1: security guard at the bar where I work, and he
- 25:35Speaker 1: walked walked me to my car the other night. He
- 25:38Speaker 1: asked me to DM him when I got home, and
- 25:41Speaker 1: I did. Since then, he sent me memes and gifts.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Am I supposed to tell my husband? Or are these
- 25:47Speaker 1: harmless social media antics? Wait a minute? Hold on, what
- 25:51Speaker 1: did you get a man? You're number four DM or whatever? Well,
- 25:55Speaker 1: what you think he won't? I mean, you're grown ass woman.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Come on now, you you you're a grown ass woman.
- 26:04Speaker 1: You know when this man said, oh way, who asked

- 26:13Speaker 1: And she DM this man? She DM this man? Yeah,
- 26:18Speaker 1: little girl, come on now, you're a grown ass woman.
- 26:20Speaker 1: You know what's going on? DM. He he threw the
- 26:24Speaker 1: bay out there, and see if you bite it. You've
- 26:25Speaker 1: been on the bait. Now you've been on the bait.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You call you DMed him. He didn't push up on you.
- 26:32Speaker 1: You pushed up on him. Well, what's she Well, he
- 26:36Speaker 1: he was the one that sent her the memes and stuff.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So she just wants to know what she's supposed to
- 26:40Speaker 1: tell her husband, or at least just harmless from him.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Why did you DM the man when the man asked
- 26:47Speaker 1: you too? M m m m M. See. Look, if
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm married and you asked me to DM, you, what's
- 26:57Speaker 1: the DM for? Direct message? Why we just call a taxa?
- 27:01Speaker 1: Why don't you you know what's up? So now she's
- 27:06Speaker 1: trying to find Yeah, and he know he gonna go
- 27:09Speaker 1: over there and shoot this ain't so now, dude, and
- 27:19Speaker 1: set up there and dabbled on the dog side because
- 27:24Speaker 1: you knew when you damn the man, you knew what
- 27:26Speaker 1: it was when that women are not stupid. Man, I'm sorry.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden he sending me means and gifts?
- 27:34Speaker 1: Should I tell my husband? Did you? Did you tell
- 27:37Speaker 1: your husband when he asked you the d M and
- 27:39Speaker 1: then you DMD? Did you tell your husband that since
- 27:43Speaker 1: you in this open wee lady, stop playing, stop playing?
- 27:48Speaker 1: You ain't got to tell your husband nothing because you
- 27:50Speaker 1: know what that's gonna turn into. Yeah, what it was
- 27:54Speaker 1: you went over there to play and you played with
- 27:55Speaker 1: a grown ass man. Yes, she did fire all right, Nitia,
- 28:02Speaker 1: And now you got these two men, you already know
- 28:05Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. Now all right, Moving on Tunisia in Freeport,
- 28:09Speaker 1: Nisha says, I'm a singer on a cruise ship, and
- 28:12Speaker 1: lots of male guests on the boat have flirted with
- 28:14Speaker 1: me and asked me to party with them after my shows.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I don't know if the guys are only trying to
- 28:18Speaker 1: have a good time or are they really if they
- 28:21Speaker 1: really want me? Is there a way to tell girl?
- 28:25Speaker 1: You on the cruise they get off on the next

- 28:48Speaker 1: me see if you can slide into my cabin. I'm
- 28:51Speaker 1: almost gonna do something with you. But when I get

- 29:35Speaker 1: where Venus and Serena got their start. There's talks that

- 30:10Speaker 1: you gradual, that's real big. Yeah yeah yeah yeah. Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 1: You ever hear somebody get some new hear somebody get

- 30:49Speaker 1: know how to produce a damn thing business host it
- 30:57Speaker 1: because you ain't no woman. They're doing all National Women's
- 31:03Speaker 1: History Month. That part, that part all right. Russell Wilson

- 31:26Speaker 1: Why Not You. Sierra also uploaded a video clip from
- 31:29Speaker 1: the day on the Graham Truly a special day and
- 31:32Speaker 1: I will never forget it doing good things. I love
- 31:35Speaker 1: that already away. Beautiful beautiful couple, Yes, beautiful family. All right, yep, yep,
- 31:47Speaker 1: you um not what you what you say? Him and
- 31:58Speaker 1: Kanye just going do it the futures, not posting at
- 32:09Speaker 1: least right now. We look up, man. They do wonderful
- 32:16Speaker 1: things and to a more serious story. Now, guys, what
- 32:26Speaker 1: is the problem. In Kenosha, Wisconsin, There's been another alleged
- 32:30Speaker 1: incident of excessive force by a police officer caught on video.
- 32:34Speaker 1: This one involves Wisconsin police officer who was moonlighting as
- 32:38Speaker 1: a school security guard. Surveillance video caught him kneeling on
- 32:42Speaker 1: the neck of a twelve year old girl while attempting
- 32:45Speaker 1: to restrain her after a fight Kenosha police officer. This
- 32:51Speaker 1: officer has resigned from his position with the Kenosha Unified
- 32:54Speaker 1: School District following the release of the video from the
- 32:57Speaker 1: March fourth incident at link In Middle School. His attorney,
- 33:02Speaker 1: The attorney who was representing the young girl. The child
- 33:05Speaker 1: and her father sat in a news conference last week.
- 33:09Speaker 1: This mirror the same maneuver that Derek Chauvin used to
- 33:12Speaker 1: murder George Floyd. The officer continued to push his knee
- 33:16Speaker 1: into my daughter's neck as she told him she couldn't
- 33:20Speaker 1: breathe boyd wow, was illegal. You don't you know? They
- 33:28Speaker 1: all all of these tactics are taught in training. That's
- 33:32Speaker 1: the knee on the neck, at the top of the spine.
- 33:36Speaker 1: The base of the skull is how you put the
- 33:39Speaker 1: most pressure to mobilize a person because it affects their
- 33:41Speaker 1: breathing and ability to move right. So this is a
- 33:45Speaker 1: practice and taught technique. For here's what makes me sick though,
- 33:52Speaker 1: with a lot of these damn police officers. And I
- 33:55Speaker 1: say a lot of them because it is a lot
- 33:57Speaker 1: of them. It's not the small number we thought it,
- 34:00Speaker 1: but it's a lot of them. They want to try
- 34:04Speaker 1: these techniques out as soon as they can. But it
- 34:08Speaker 1: happens to always be on some some young person or
- 34:12Speaker 1: some person of color. Yeah, I don't know what twelve,
- 34:18Speaker 1: you're a little girl. I can't restrain. I just don't
- 34:22Speaker 1: you know, you know, a bad hood something. Yeah, just
- 34:26Speaker 1: grip your arms around them something that that right there
- 34:29Speaker 1: is excessive. And you know, I got you resigned from
- 34:34Speaker 1: the school position, the moonlight job, but this should have
- 34:38Speaker 1: you steal a police officer paid to U bolder law
- 34:43Speaker 1: and protect and serve. And this is just not the
- 34:46Speaker 1: way it's done it. And you know, and once again
- 34:48Speaker 1: here we go again. I just want to say to
- 34:50Speaker 1: everybody listening to the show that's not African American, why
- 34:57Speaker 1: is it that this all ways happens to one of us?
- 35:03Speaker 1: It happens to us, it happens to Latinos, it happens
- 35:07Speaker 1: to uh, every somebody, but you got color on your skin,
- 35:12Speaker 1: it's gonna happen to you. Why is that? Unfortunately, and
- 35:17Speaker 1: until it starts happening to people who are not of color,
- 35:22Speaker 1: they just sit there and watch it like it's so.
- 35:26Speaker 1: If we didn't if we've went in front of pandemic
- 35:28Speaker 1: and we didn't have video footage this, the whole George
- 35:31Speaker 1: Floyd thing, would have gone saw that that's absolutely true,
- 35:35Speaker 1: would have got away with it, absolutely absolutely. Yeah. All right,
- 35:42Speaker 1: we'll be watching that story and keeping you posted. Coming
- 35:45Speaker 1: up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll talk about
- 35:47Speaker 1: the judge Katangie Brown Jackson confirmation hearing right after this
- 35:52Speaker 1: you're listening to. Okay, So Lindsey Graham, I'm gonna tell
- 35:58Speaker 1: you guys something that everybody he already knows. Lindsey Graham
- 36:02Speaker 1: and Ted Cruise are whack, both of them. Okay. The
- 36:06Speaker 1: Senate hearing, Uh yeah, this is this Senate hearing for
- 36:11Speaker 1: the Supreme Court justice nominee Katanji Brown Jackson. Is not
- 36:14Speaker 1: about her qualifications. It's just all about them. Lindsey Graham,
- 36:18Speaker 1: Ted Cruise Lindsey Graham and his questions. He asked her
- 36:22Speaker 1: about faith. Uh, what does that have to do with
- 36:25Speaker 1: doing her job? Kay? Her faith? About her faith? Yeah?
- 36:29Speaker 1: About her faith? Yeah, did we ask about faith? Did
- 36:34Speaker 1: aswer the cav Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 36:39Speaker 1: Uh what does that have to do with doing her job?
- 36:42Speaker 1: But but you know, one thing we can say about
- 36:44Speaker 1: Judge Brown Jackson is that, you know, she's very classy.
- 36:48Speaker 1: She's very smart, very smart. She knew how to answer
- 36:51Speaker 1: the questions, uh, very calmly, you know, and just she
- 36:56Speaker 1: gave it right back to them. You know, he's not
- 36:58Speaker 1: take a classy and until way, No, she's not. She's
- 37:01Speaker 1: absolutely not. Really really well, that's the one that she
- 37:05Speaker 1: is over. Yeah, I'm actually watching. I watched a couple
- 37:11Speaker 1: hours of it, even early early this morning, which is
- 37:17Speaker 1: very different from me. But I've just watched her handle herself.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I've watched her mother and father sit there off to
- 37:23Speaker 1: the side, very dignified, educated people who have raised their
- 37:28Speaker 1: daughter to be and she's handling this thing really really well.
- 37:32Speaker 1: She was. That was really amazing to be was Ted
- 37:36Speaker 1: Cruise's line of line of questioning about racism, allowing it
- 37:42Speaker 1: to be taught that, and she she looked flustered, and
- 37:50Speaker 1: then she just snapped and said, no, I haven't read
- 37:53Speaker 1: anything that that doesn't fall into the guidelines of my
- 37:56Speaker 1: jailed ship. And she was just burying his coward ass.
- 37:59Speaker 1: And you know, I wish I was there because I
- 38:01Speaker 1: really wouldn't go hold on since I got this right here,
- 38:04Speaker 1: you chicken sugar hunting iced tea sitting up in here,
- 38:11Speaker 1: questioning this sicker with your cowardice, asked telling you, right,
- 38:15Speaker 1: Tarr crews can't say nothing to me. He's just the
- 38:18Speaker 1: worst human being. When you all were going through that
- 38:20Speaker 1: storm in Texas and loads of all that power, and
- 38:23Speaker 1: he set up there and got his ass on the plane,
- 38:27Speaker 1: got busted, didn't tried to come back after that. Here,
- 38:29Speaker 1: I'm dropping my family off. You don't drop your family
- 38:32Speaker 1: off and can't cool on a commercial flight. And then
- 38:41Speaker 1: set up here and let this man, Donald Trump publicly
- 38:44Speaker 1: degrade your wife and talk about your beloved deceased father.
- 38:50Speaker 1: And you did nothing, nab Bro, you put talking to
- 38:53Speaker 1: me about anything. Show coward ass? Did look make you look? Mitchell?
- 38:59Speaker 1: I think it's a disguise coming up at thirty four
- 39:03Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. We're gonna check Steve's voicemail at
- 39:06Speaker 1: eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve. Right after this you're
- 39:10Speaker 1: listening to all right, guys, it is time to check

- 40:08Speaker 1: do in the court is that's awesome. If I were
- 40:12Speaker 1: a judge, low and behold, that would be the look

- 41:15Speaker 1: going down the hill. Like you said, our heart app
- 41:19Speaker 1: is the way to get it. For that. Also dealing

- 44:16Speaker 1: and the subject is the crazy Cookie Lady. We'll get
- 44:20Speaker 1: into that in just a bit, right, but right now
- 44:23Speaker 1: it is the nephew with today's prank phone call. What
- 44:27Speaker 1: you got first, nephew, Well, sir, let me take a
- 44:29Speaker 1: stab at being stupid looking for a home run here,
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah you can. The title is can you hear me? Now?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Can you hear me? Man? Cat dog? Let's go Hello.
- 44:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to speak to sister Lauren. Please vegan, Sister Lauren.
- 44:48Speaker 1: This is a brother David's from the church. I don't
- 44:50Speaker 1: know if you know me. You might know me when
- 44:51Speaker 1: you see me, but I don't know if you just
- 44:53Speaker 1: know me because we don't really interact that much at
- 44:56Speaker 1: the church. But I wanted to give you a call.
- 44:57Speaker 1: We got a bit of a problem going on. Okay,
- 45:00Speaker 1: you got you get Do you have a minute to talk? Well?
- 45:02Speaker 1: Apparently all right? Now, how long have you been doing
- 45:07Speaker 1: uh the sign you in the you know you in
- 45:09Speaker 1: the ministry where you do the sign language for the church?
- 45:12Speaker 1: And um, you know I noticed you up there at
- 45:15Speaker 1: least two Sundays out of a out of the month.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You've been doing it quite a while, am I right?
- 45:21Speaker 1: So yes, I've been doing it for over ten years.
- 45:23Speaker 1: But I'm really confused as to why you're calling about
- 45:28Speaker 1: this time. I'm just really be confused. I don't know
- 45:30Speaker 1: who you are. You say that I see your faith.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I may know you, but what does this have to
- 45:36Speaker 1: do with anything? Is how long I've been doing sign language.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I know. Okay, so I've been doing it for years?
- 45:41Speaker 1: So how how man help you with this? Do you want? Okay? So, no, no,
- 45:46Speaker 1: I'm not trying to learn any sign language. Do you do?
- 45:49Speaker 1: You know miss everybody call him Miss murder Do you
- 45:51Speaker 1: know Miss Murdle? Oh yeah, sure you okay, so Miss Murdle,
- 45:56Speaker 1: that's that's that's that's that's one of my aunties, right yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 1: Miss murder li is okay, And she gave me my
- 46:03Speaker 1: number to call me. I'm what what do you need
- 46:06Speaker 1: for me? Did she get? No? That's what I'm getting that.
- 46:09Speaker 1: So so you know, you know my you know, my
- 46:12Speaker 1: honors is deaf. You know she's hearing that, you know that? Right? Okay? Yeah, okay,
- 46:17Speaker 1: So so here's a problem. Ain't Murderles is telling us
- 46:21Speaker 1: that you're not doing the sign language right, doing the
- 46:24Speaker 1: service and like you're missing some things in the scripture
- 46:28Speaker 1: or something. No, no, no, that's incorrect. I've been doing
- 46:33Speaker 1: this for a very long time and I know what
- 46:35Speaker 1: I'm doing. So how do you so she told you
- 46:38Speaker 1: for me to tell me that I'm not doing this
- 46:40Speaker 1: silanguage correctly? Let me say, let me say this to
- 46:44Speaker 1: you let me. I don't want us to get off
- 46:46Speaker 1: on the wrong foot. Let me just say this to you.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Once my once my murder told us what was going on.
- 46:51Speaker 1: You know. We then went to one of the deacons
- 46:54Speaker 1: and asked him, you know, is that way we can
- 46:56Speaker 1: uh have a meeting, you know, with with with sister
- 46:59Speaker 1: Lawrence so we can try to get just taking care
- 47:00Speaker 1: of and talk about it. He said, well, won't you
- 47:02Speaker 1: just won't you just call and y'all can just work
- 47:05Speaker 1: it out. And that's how I'm calling you now. I hope.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I don't know if you're at work or whatever. I apologize,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but I'm just trying to get to the bottom of Now.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Let me gonna say this. If my ain't murders say
- 47:16Speaker 1: that you ain't signing right, then my ain'tie ain't lying.
- 47:20Speaker 1: That means your excuse me, that means you ain't signing right. Really,
- 47:25Speaker 1: so the pastor couldn't come to me, but he but
- 47:29Speaker 1: you figured you would just call me and tell me
- 47:31Speaker 1: that your auntie says I'm doing it incorrectly. That doesn't
- 47:34Speaker 1: make sense to me. How did she tell you that?
- 47:36Speaker 1: Did she sign it to you? She signed language to
- 47:39Speaker 1: her daughter. Listen, you ain't got to worry about who
- 47:42Speaker 1: she's signing too. What you need to worry about is
- 47:44Speaker 1: getting your getting your stuff together all right, and learning
- 47:48Speaker 1: how to do this the correct way so that my
- 47:50Speaker 1: Ain'tie can get You know, my anti needs to be
- 47:53Speaker 1: getting the word like everybody else getting the word, but
- 47:55Speaker 1: she not getting it because you the words getting lost
- 47:58Speaker 1: in your hands. All I'm hearing is your voice is
- 48:01Speaker 1: getting very loud and you need to match my tone,
- 48:03Speaker 1: young man. Okay, let's start with that. Which I mean, mann?
- 48:09Speaker 1: Is that match my tone because you're getting very loud
- 48:13Speaker 1: and I can't hear through all of that. All right, Okay, okay,
- 48:18Speaker 1: I am praid situation. You called my phone. Correct. You
- 48:22Speaker 1: have a problem that you're discussing with me, but you're
- 48:25Speaker 1: getting more anger than anything else. How am I going
- 48:27Speaker 1: to resolve this problem? I am trying to be a
- 48:30Speaker 1: court where you resolve this problem. Is Carr yours back
- 48:33Speaker 1: to science school so you can learn what you need
- 48:35Speaker 1: to so my Anie can get the word. My Antie
- 48:37Speaker 1: can't get out the gospel because you're messing it up.
- 48:40Speaker 1: God anointed me to do style language at that church,
- 48:44Speaker 1: and I've been doing it for a long time, and
- 48:46Speaker 1: I will continue to do so. So don't call my
- 48:49Speaker 1: phone telling me that I'm not doing something right? You know?
- 48:52Speaker 1: But do God know that you're not doing it right?
- 48:55Speaker 1: Do God know that? Does God know that my ain't
- 48:59Speaker 1: myrtle not get the word because of you? Named young man?
- 49:03Speaker 1: Jesus please give me the strength to continue on with
- 49:06Speaker 1: this conversation. But you know what, Lord, I'm gonna be
- 49:09Speaker 1: right back. Little. Let me tell you something. Don't you
- 49:13Speaker 1: ever call my mother freaking phone telling about I ain't
- 49:16Speaker 1: doing something? Man? If I see you in the street,
- 49:18Speaker 1: this can't I have is gonna go upside your goddamn head?
- 49:22Speaker 1: Did I make my stuff player? I cannot believe you
- 49:25Speaker 1: talking to me like this? Oh now you want to
- 49:27Speaker 1: be calm? Now you calm? Now? You match my tone.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I can't believe you just got through talking to me
- 49:33Speaker 1: like that. Are we done here? So you think it's
- 49:36Speaker 1: cool for you to tell the Lord? I be right back,
- 49:40Speaker 1: Thank you, Lord. I needed a moment. You right, we've
- 49:43Speaker 1: been on the stone this Lord, you've been on skiing
- 49:45Speaker 1: at me. I told you to match my tone. Match
- 49:48Speaker 1: my tone. I am matching your tone? Now? Can I say?

- 49:57Speaker 1: Do you mind if I say something in this tone? Here?

- 50:09Speaker 1: I am nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 50:12Speaker 1: In your tone, who does oh Lord, have mercy you? Bonda,
- 50:20Speaker 1: Bonda Taylor, Bonda Taylor, tell me you bet I put
- 50:24Speaker 1: this on the radio. Put on the radio in Jesus name,
- 50:31Speaker 1: amen radio. I'm not playing any game time me. I
- 50:35Speaker 1: think it's funny, but it thinks this is my job here. Listen,
- 50:39Speaker 1: everything is fine? Are you having going there? I had
- 50:42Speaker 1: to tell Jesus give me a minute because you was
- 50:44Speaker 1: about to be my pressure of Lord, have mercy. I
- 50:48Speaker 1: don't even want to hear this, but I will be
- 50:49Speaker 1: calling Bonda because I have some mercy. Oh Lord, Lord,
- 50:53Speaker 1: Lord Father, please forgives me. Okay, you gotta you gotta
- 50:58Speaker 1: do this for me in my tone, in my tone,
- 51:00Speaker 1: tell me in your tone, what is the baddest radio
- 51:03Speaker 1: show in the land? In your tone? In my tone,
- 51:11Speaker 1: baby man, that I picked up from that prank that
- 51:18Speaker 1: she was She asked the Lord to forgive her when
- 51:20Speaker 1: she cussed. You want to start doing that? Oh no,
- 51:24Speaker 1: that'd be all day, enough hours in the day. I
- 51:34Speaker 1: stopped doing that. I wondered, maybe I should try to
- 51:39Speaker 1: Remember we had the jaw when you put the money,
- 51:41Speaker 1: and we tried that for a while. We tried it
- 51:43Speaker 1: for an hour. Remember that he couldn't do it for hour.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Well I did it for an hour, but your jaw
- 51:51Speaker 1: was full. Yeah, it was full life savings five grain
- 52:00Speaker 1: paper in now. And it was his idea to not
- 52:04Speaker 1: cut for a day. It was his idea. It sure was.
- 52:10Speaker 1: You know what messed it up though they talked about
- 52:12Speaker 1: it was my idea. You know what messed it up?
- 52:15Speaker 1: They started talking to me, so we can't regular conversation.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I thought they were gonna be quiet behind that, just
- 52:32Speaker 1: talking and talking without talking to you as good. Thank
- 52:42Speaker 1: you match my tone? Young man? Yeah, young man? Can
- 52:46Speaker 1: you hear me now? I take let's let's give let's
- 52:51Speaker 1: give a big ups to everybody out there to do

- 52:55Speaker 1: incredible job they do every Sunday. They deliver the word.
- 52:59Speaker 1: What they hand is that's something I know. I can't

- 53:49Speaker 1: Bugle love and hold on type. We got it for you.
- 53:51Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject the
- 53:55Speaker 1: Crazy Cookie Lady. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a twenty
- 53:58Speaker 1: nine year old single woman. My mom had me when
- 54:01Speaker 1: she was forty two, so she's considerably older than my
- 54:04Speaker 1: friend's parents. I've always been around older women, and I
- 54:08Speaker 1: heard a lot of conversations that I shouldn't have heard
- 54:11Speaker 1: before I was of age. My mother and her friends
- 54:14Speaker 1: were all single moms, and they've always been crazy about men.
- 54:18Speaker 1: When I grew up, I was boy crazy. Now I'm
- 54:21Speaker 1: older and still single, I can see how crazy my
- 54:25Speaker 1: childhood and teenage years were. My mother had different men
- 54:29Speaker 1: for different occasions, and they all showered her with gifts
- 54:32Speaker 1: and money. I thought it was what men were supposed
- 54:35Speaker 1: to do, so I grew up looking for this type
- 54:38Speaker 1: of arrangement. An older gem date me, and he told
- 54:43Speaker 1: me up front that I have to give up the
- 54:44Speaker 1: honey to get the money. I stayed away from dirty
- 54:47Speaker 1: old men, and I joined a church and started going
- 54:50Speaker 1: to Bible study regularly. I met a nice man at
- 54:54Speaker 1: this church, and I thought he was the one. We
- 54:58Speaker 1: weren't in a hurry to have sex and took me.
- 55:00Speaker 1: He took his time getting to know me. It was
- 55:03Speaker 1: four months into our relationship when we decided to meet
- 55:06Speaker 1: each other's parents. He brought his dad to church, and
- 55:09Speaker 1: I took my mom to church. My mother saw his
- 55:12Speaker 1: dad from a distance and didn't want to meet him.
- 55:15Speaker 1: His dad called my mom's name and she hurried away.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I asked how he knew her name, and he said,
- 55:22Speaker 1: that's crazy cookie ladies. He said, that's what the guys
- 55:25Speaker 1: call her now because she still thinks she's got it
- 55:28Speaker 1: and she's still trying to pass it out. I told
- 55:31Speaker 1: him that my mom. I told him that was my mom,
- 55:34Speaker 1: and he apologized but was still laughing. I broke up
- 55:38Speaker 1: with the guy because of his dad, uncle Stephen, and
- 55:41Speaker 1: Shirley Is. They're a way to get my old and
- 55:45Speaker 1: not so sexy mother to chill out. I just got
- 55:51Speaker 1: to ask you, what do you think you're gonna tell
- 55:54Speaker 1: your mom at this late date? I mean, what do
- 55:56Speaker 1: you think you can tell her. If you think you
- 55:58Speaker 1: can tell her something, go ahead, but I doubt it.
- 56:00Speaker 1: You're twenty nine, you know. I don't think this is
- 56:04Speaker 1: gonna work. You're older now, but still your mom is
- 56:07Speaker 1: who she is. This has been going on since you
- 56:10Speaker 1: were a little girl, so much so that you took
- 56:14Speaker 1: your life in an entirely different direction. That's how much
- 56:17Speaker 1: you didn't want to be like your mom. But my
- 56:21Speaker 1: advice to you is to live your life because your
- 56:24Speaker 1: mom is doing mom. Okay, you might be embarrassed by
- 56:27Speaker 1: your mom, but you are not responsible for her crazy
- 56:31Speaker 1: cookie lady behavior. You've also you're also not obligated to
- 56:36Speaker 1: tolerate her boyfriend's dad disrespect of your mom, and although
- 56:40Speaker 1: it wasn't his fault, you did break up with your
- 56:42Speaker 1: man behind it. I don't think you should have done
- 56:44Speaker 1: that necessarily. He sounded like a decent guy. I mean
- 56:47Speaker 1: he should have checked his dad or else he wouldn't
- 56:49Speaker 1: have had wanted you to meet his parents in the
- 56:52Speaker 1: first place. But all your concerned with is your mom
- 56:55Speaker 1: at this point, and I mean that's a good concern,
- 56:58Speaker 1: but there's nothing you can do about mama. Mama's grown
- 57:01Speaker 1: and living her life. You need to get your man
- 57:04Speaker 1: back and live yours just like your mom is doing. Steve,
- 57:09Speaker 1: you know, I don't really want to do this letter.
- 57:14Speaker 1: M hmm, I really don't. I'm I'm protesting this letter.
- 57:19Speaker 1: And why why don't you want to do? You know what? What?
- 57:23Speaker 1: What can we say exactly? You know what? I mean?
- 57:26Speaker 1: You tried to say something, but try You know, your
- 57:30Speaker 1: mama's semny one seventy one what she can't even meet
- 57:38Speaker 1: nobody at church, causing her reputation crazy cookie lady. So
- 57:43Speaker 1: now you can't take your mama know where. I don't
- 57:48Speaker 1: even want to go through the letter. I'm protesting this letter. Yeah,
- 57:55Speaker 1: you know, so I'm doing something I've never done before.
- 57:57Speaker 1: I'm protesting this strawberry letter. But I mean, but you
- 58:02Speaker 1: can ask me questions about it, Sherley or call or
- 58:04Speaker 1: anybody else. Y'all can ask me questions about it. But
- 58:07Speaker 1: I don't have anything for this now. I'm in protests.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Go ahead, But do you think the daughter. I don't
- 58:13Speaker 1: think she's responsible and she shouldn't feel that way. But
- 58:15Speaker 1: do you think she is feeling responsible for her mom's behavior. Well,
- 58:19Speaker 1: she's embarrassed by her mother, embarrassed. She then broke up
- 58:23Speaker 1: with this young guy because of the young guys daddy's comments.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Like you said in your response, that don't make no
- 58:31Speaker 1: sense because the guy did nothing wrong. Yeah, I don't
- 58:35Speaker 1: think y'all we should have broken up with him going along,
- 58:37Speaker 1: and then you're gonna break up with him because her daddy,
- 58:40Speaker 1: his daddy recognize your mama, Your mama seventy one, still
- 58:49Speaker 1: passing it out? Now you call her told the old
- 58:54Speaker 1: the crazy cookie lady. But what is she passing out?
- 58:59Speaker 1: Knock writing? I probably just chrome, oh maybe a cookie dope.
- 59:09Speaker 1: It might even be cooking batter. At this point, I
- 59:12Speaker 1: don't know. I haven't been there. I'm headed. Now I'm
- 59:17Speaker 1: hoping it remains the same. It looks like it probably will.
- 59:22Speaker 1: But when you didn't use so much of it. But
- 59:29Speaker 1: how about when when she saw her daughter's boyfriend's dad,
- 59:33Speaker 1: she went the other way, so she knows her mom,
- 59:36Speaker 1: she knows something is up. I mean, you know, she
- 59:38Speaker 1: didn't even want to meet the dad. You know what
- 59:40Speaker 1: I'm saying. She didn't even gonna want to meet him.
- 59:42Speaker 1: She wanted to be out of there, So maybe there's out.
- 59:45Speaker 1: When the daddy said, hey, that going old crazy cookie lady,
- 59:50Speaker 1: Oh jeez, she had to tell him whold up? Now
- 59:54Speaker 1: that's my mama. Yea, she should have. Yeah, I'm so sorry.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I'm not mad, as she should have defended her mom
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: for sure. Yeah yeah. All right, Well, we'll come back
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: and try to make something out of this letter if
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we can. At twenty three minutes after the hour. The
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: subject of today's Strawberry letter the crazy Cookie Lady. We'll
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening show,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, let's try to make some
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: sense out of the Strawberry letter today. The subject is
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the crazy cookie lady. All right, So since we can't
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: make any sense about this this woman, this mother had
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: her lady life at forty two. The girl is currently
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: twenty nine years old writing this letter. So she's writing
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: a letter about her mother, who's seventy one. Now they've met.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: She had problems with guys her whole life because her
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: mama had been dating me and that's been gifting her
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: stuff her whole life, and so she thought that's how
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I would go. And so she started dating an older
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: man and the man told, huh, I don't give you
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: no money without no honey. So she decided that's not
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: the life. She won't. She turns her life around. She
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: started going to church. She met this wonderful man, seemed
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: to be everything. It's been going really well, and it's
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: going so good for so long that her and the
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: guy she's met in dating been taking her time, ain't
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: forcing her, ain't pressing her for sex, and none is
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: going just right. They decide that their parents should meet.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: So he bought his father to church, and she bought
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: her mother to church. At the end, they were about
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: to introduce him, the guy blurts out, now that her
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: mama sees the man and try to turn the other way.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: The man blurts out Hey, that's a crazy cooking lady. Hey,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: my mama, not in the whole of First he said,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: we recall a cooking lady because she still she thinks
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: she still got it and still trying to pass it
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: out like a trade, you know what. I'm like, Hey,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: that's my mama. But he's still laughing though, right yeah,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: So here we go. This is a re enactment. Oh,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Tommy's gonna be the crazy cookie lady in denial. I'm
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: gonna be one of the guys or several of the
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: guys that see hub. But she always in de Now

- 1:02:59Speaker 1: remember me who you are, Curtis. Oh you don't remember that, Curtis.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Remember that time you Remember that time before I came over,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I had to stop at the store and buy you
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: all for them or panty holes in the eggs. Remember
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: the man I had to buy four Curtiss, Curtis, I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: bought you four eggs over to the house. Panty holes
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: in the tube that look like eggs that I cook
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: you some eggs, baby in the eggs. I had to
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: get your queen size that side. I don't remember anything, okay, okay,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Well how about this right here? How about that time
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: you wouldn't come see me unless I gassed up your
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: car and changed the older that music. Now you drove
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: my car, you had my car, took it right down

- 1:04:14Speaker 1: had with Yeah, I had white and dard wheel padded
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: wrap on it. I had the white steering wheel. I
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: do remember that? Uh not okay? And you say you
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: gassed it and put all in it. I changed your
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: oil a Jiffy Lou and gassed it up right next
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: door at quick trip, A quick trip. Yeah that's down
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: the street, quick trip. And you and you as Curtis,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you say, right, Curtis, Curtis, Curtis with a Curtis. I
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: know your mama, Curtis, dude, I know your man. No,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you don't know my mama. I'm saving hell. You're gonna
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: know my mama. Oh this Curtis. I'm seventy eight. Cur
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Now you're saying we had relations, CURREDI oh, you're gonna
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: play dumb now, Curdy, we had relations? When did we had? What?
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I don't. I had the room for four hours, twelve
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: of four hour, I know I ain't had nothing room
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: for the bed of a draw on the floor. I no,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Miss Cook wouldn't go nowhere like that. You think you think,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: miss Cook, it went somewhere like that. Women hold hold
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: had to go out and gasped up the car on
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: a change your hall. I had a car wash for you,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: and I put a brand new white stare we will
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: wrap on it. And had a little pair of baby
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: shoes you had in now wipe them off and made
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: them look like baby shot. All right, listen, post your

- 1:07:36Speaker 1: been watching, I said, Man, I love that, so I'm
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: gonna be watching that Friday night. Man. Also, Man, Jamal Crawford, Man,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: one of my favorite NBA players, is calling it quits.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: He retired up to twenty seasons. Man one of the
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: best ball handlers in the league. He's the only beside
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: him and Lou Williams, the only three times six Man
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: of the Year. Man. So great career, That's all I
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: can tell you. Man, that boy can make it. He
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: could shoot, he could dribble, create his own shot. He did. Man,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: he had a great career. So I'm not mad he'd leave, Man,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: but I just gonna miss him. Man. He just one
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: of those players you root for, you just want to play,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: you just root for. Also in other news, Trey Young
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: drop forty five. I know you won't get no sports
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: over the US. I'm just trying to keep you a breath.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: You ain't seen none of it, You ain't seen none
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: of this. But the other night, Man Trey Young drop
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: forty five, and Maddison Square Garden to beat the That
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: boy took the Hawks over the Knicks one seventeen to one.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Of the forty five. Just Raining trays good bad hell
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: who says yeah, yeah, but it's it's it Maddison Square Garden,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: the home of basketball and then also man in other
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: sports news Man, the Rams are making it known that
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: they won't ob j Man. They won't Odell Beckham Junior
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: back to play for the Rams. You know he towards
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: ACL in the Super Bowl. Uh. They said that he
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: probably won't be back for the start of the season,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: So it's gonna affect his contract and probably have give
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: a contract like he had when he first got there
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: in the middle of seed from Cleveland Brown. But I
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: really want him to make it, man, I really root
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: for Odell Beckel Junior to stay there in Los Angelesinia.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Boy cole him he got that ring now he was
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: rooting for the Sean was we don't have to happen.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Stop telling yourself,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: be the lies about your happiness. We'll talk about it
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show Well, you've heard
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: it before, and it's true. You are your own worst enemy.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: The world is hard enough on you, but the stories
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: you tell yourself inside your head can make it a
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: lot harder to deal with the stress life throws at you.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: So steve here, a few lies we believe in moments
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: of stress that take away our joy and happiness. What
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: can we do today, I should say, to stop getting
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: in the way of our own happiness, like, for instance,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: saying things like we don't deserve it, Like when something
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: good happens. You know, we could be a bigger jerk
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: to ourselves than we would ever be to our best
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: friend or to our child. If you have unrealistic expectations
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: or keep judging yourself too harshly, stop and enjoy the
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: good things when they come along. You do deserve it.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: In other words, so don't tell yourself the opposite. Well,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I've said that before. I don't deserve it in front
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: of people. As soon as I walk away, whatever they game,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I put it in my pocket. I go with it
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: after I see. What did Snoop say when he got
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: the holly he got the star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: He said, I'd like to thank God, I'd like to
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: thank my family and me. I'd like to thank me. Okay, yeah,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: the same thing, all right, we should we Yeah, we
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: tell ourselves we shouldn't enjoy it because it won't last.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: I mean, good things come along, many don't last forever.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: But instead of using that as a reason to not
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: to enjoy the good things when they come. They should
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: make you more focused on enjoying it instead, if you
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: work harder. I mean, nothing lasts forever, but there's no
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: need of you regretting the end, and the end ain't here, right, yeah, right,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Enjoy the moment, Enjoy the journey. Yeah yeah. Or these
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: are some of the things you tell yourself. We can't
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: have joy until unreasonable unreasonable expectations keep popping up, don't they.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: So high achievers will tell you to delay your gratification
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: until you've reached all of your goal. Now is that realistic?
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: We just said enjoy the journey. Yeah, that's not true.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: What do you mean? And that's what keeps most people
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: unhappy and behind the eight ball. I've said it a
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: million times. If your goal is to make a million dollars,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: but you've been making twenty five thousand dollars a year,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: and then you look up and you're making a hundred
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: thousand dollars a year, but you still mad because you
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: ain't a millionaire yet he's making twenty five thousand dollars
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: a year. You're not make a hundred. You don't see
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: the joy in that. Then a little bit later on,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: you make a quarter of a million dollars a year.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Now you still mad. I'm working all this hard, I
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: still ain't a millionaire. You got a quarter million dollars.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: You don't see that that lack of gratitude keeps you
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: forever disgruntled and unhappy. That's right, be grateful. What about
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: this one? Our joy depends on someone else or something else.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: You know a lot of people think that they need
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: someone else to make them happy instead of being happy
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: within themselves. A lot of people believe that. Some people
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: put that. Bishop Jakes told me something one time. He said,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: it's not your job to make another person happy, nor
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: should you make it. Don't make out your job, because
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you that's a job you cannot win. Because
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: if they ain't happy with themselves, I don't give a
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: damn what you do right now. If people need things
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: to make them have joy, that's not joy, that's fun. Yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: there's a difference between joy and fun. There is, absolutely right.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: And what is the difference? Go ahead, since you brought
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: it up. Well, The difference is some of joy is
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: something that abides and resides within you. It's a comfortability
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: factor and a peace that you are perfectly fine with
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: who you are and right where you are, and you
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: find contentment in it, and it gives you a resounding
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: piece of joy. A relationship with God gives you joy.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Fun is manufacted. You have to go somewhere and be
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: doing something to interject this feeling of fun you. But
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: if you keep having fun too long, fun is an acronym.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Everybody that has fun too long. It's an acronym. Fun
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: actually stands for it's eft up now coming up in
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour March Madness. The sectomes are
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: still a thing. Wow, we'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: You're listening to the Stay Morning Show. Okay, so guys
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: talking to the guys, and I want you to know,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: guys that guys are still scheduling their vasectoms around March Madness,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: and this year was no different. Urologists across the country
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: have reported that up to a fifty percent increase is
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: going on in vasectomes that we're scheduled leading up to
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: the tournament. Timing is everything. Of course, getting snipped as
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: the tournament gets rolling makes an unpleasant procedure into something
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: of a four day vacation with all that basketball to
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: watch what they do. That's what they get it done.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: And then they get a bag of frozen piece and
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: just keep sitting on them and ride it out. That's
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: how you do it. And watch the game. No, I
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: just ain't done. But I've heard about it. I don't
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: have to be that sure that. I just heard the
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: TV and watch and surgery. This is something I've never done. Man,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: you never contected me. I can't. I wasn't trying to
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: handle kids. No, damn way all my kids. Wasn't announcement.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: But I guess it's a great time to have him.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: You could be at home just watching the game if
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: you're scheduled to have one. Yeah, who knew that was
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: a thing. Sure, I didn't. I really didn't. Yeah, ain't. No,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: I got weird about No. I don't think my girl
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: can handle kids right now. So I'm good, good and
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: ask person need to be a damn new daddy. Coming
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: up with thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll play
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: a round it would you rather? Right after this, you're
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, Time down guys for
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: a round of would you rather? Would you rather? Steal?
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Honey from a bear, or steal honey from a bee hive.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: We get this bee high. Yeah, I will run with
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: the whole high. I'm not putting with that ball if
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: it's winning the pool, didn't I'm cool. I think you
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: and you think winning cool. That's what you think winning cool.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: You can let that car get out there with winning's
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: ass and see what happens winning though. All right, the
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: winning pooter that I met down at Disney, my kids
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: ass and get your honey. You're talking about a real
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: bear honey. Give me that damn be high. Wow, I'll
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: be walking as slow as I can. Bees be all
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: over my as I walk the ads right into a lake.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather go to jail for a
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: crime your loved one committed or would you rather snitch
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: on your loved one for a crime they committed? Oh yeah,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: you you're a snitch. I'm not a snitch. I'm not snitching.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I'm telling a different same thing. I'm gonna go to
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: jail for something I didn't do that my loved one did.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: For a snitch on them. Jail love, that's something. Okay,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: it just says loved one. But say it's your spouse
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: or you know, your favorite child or something like that,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: your favorite child. Oh no, because my spouse. I'm gonna
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: go to jail. All right, I'll do anything, girl, I
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: don't what you better say the right thing? Are you crazy?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Right now? We're gonna visit. I mean, me and the
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: kids are gonna visit. We're gonna go down there and
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: see their mama what we got. I mean, I'm gonna come.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I'm coming down the air said, I'm dying there. I'm
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: coming if the boy ain't and the boy if the
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: boy ain't got baseball, We're dying there. We're gonna come from.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: But why you do what you do? Man? Why you
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: do that? Now? I'm gonna say this though, if it's
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: one of my children, Oh the thing, go jail. You
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: know what? You need somebody on the outside with some
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: money and some influence that could get you out. Oh okay,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: last one. Would you rather get a raise or about
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: on this? You got to know the numbers? Yeah, they
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: need no numbers for this. They got some bonus and
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: you haven't seen them. People get them bonus and them
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: big companies them boning. You've seen them. I need a bonus.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I won't mind all that more. Right. Uh huh uh
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: huh uh huh uh huh. I steal this. I'm I'm
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: gonna follow his lead. He nobody money move my money
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: than we do. Yeah, all right, that's our round. Would
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: you rather? Today? Coming up? It is our last break
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: of the day, and of course we'll have some clothing
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: remarks at forty nine minutes after the hour from the
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Here we are, guys, our
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: We've had fun today day. Well, let's go too. That's
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: gonna be my clothes remark because I want to share
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: with people the difference between fun and joy, because there
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: was a difference and I had to learn this too.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: So here we go. You know, as I was growing up,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: just like most of us, we had a daily quest
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: when we were young. As children, we only had one
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: mission in life. After school. We wanted to go play.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: On Saturdays and Sundays, I want to go play. I
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: could not wait to go outside. I wanted to go
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: out in the snow. That I wanted to play because
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: it was fun. Now, what I didn't know was there
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: should be a cut off point for having fun in
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: your life. But oh no, not me. I took it
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: too far. I took fun to college. Now I know
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: everybody that went to college who we had a blast.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: I had too much of a blast, and then after
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: college kept all trying to have fun. There's a cutoff
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: point to fun. And the thing I learned about it
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: will see fun. You have to go do something, or
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: go somewhere, or be around or certain people in order
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: to have it. To go have fun, you have to manufactory.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: You have to buy a ticket, you have to be
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: at a certain place, you have to drink a certain amount.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: You gotta be around the people are smoking this. Now,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: you can have fun if you make it to this
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: party right here, we gonna have so much fun. And
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: you keep looking for fun, But if you think about fun, man,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: it's always manufacture. It's something you gotta be doing, seen doing.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: You gotta be somewhere or thought of somewhere. It's always
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: the case in having fun and fun is always short lived.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: You know, fun never lasts a long time. You never
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: hear anybody said, well I just had fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: Fun don't last a long time. It's a very fleeting thing.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: And I was teaching my sons about fun one day
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: because we were in Vegas and they were going out
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: and I told usaid, be careful out there, man, I'm
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: going to the room. Damn, y'all. Come on, man, we're
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: gonna have some fun, I said, dog, listen to me.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: We've had a full night, went to see the fight.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Everything was good, and now you're gonna go out here. Man.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you right now, it's dangerous out there.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Be careful, Oh dad, We're gonna have some fun. I've
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: discovered something about fun. If you stay, if you keep
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: having fun, there's a time limit to fun. If you
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: stay at the club till it closed, it ain't fit
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: to be fun no more. If you're drinking and you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: feel a buzz, but you keep on drinking, it ain't
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: fitting to be fun no more. If you at a
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: sport an event and everybody going out the parking lot,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: but you y'all still trying to have fun, state, that
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: is not thing to be fun no more. Because fun
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I discovered. I taught my children that night. Fun is
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: an acronym. F you n is an acronyl, and I
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: taught it to him, I said, son, if you to
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: keep having fun too long, it's fed up now. That's
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: what fun stands for. Too much fun and it's fed
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: up now. Boy. They laughed, they laughed. They went out
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: that night in Vagas. The next morning I saw him.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: They looked dishovel. They're in bad shape. Said what happened? Man? Dad?
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: We was at the club. Man dude got shot and killed.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Then the police surround the building. We stayed in there. Man,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: we didn't get home to five thirty. You know why,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: because they was having fun and too much fun. He
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: got effed up. Now, f you n it's effed up now,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: and that's what fun is. And said Dad, what about you?
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: I said, I like to have joy, and so what's
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: the difference between joy and fun? I said. Joy is
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: a feeling that I have on an inside that resides
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: in me most of the time. And when I'm with myself,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: within myself or by myself. I found that I have
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: a residing peace in me that gives me a certain
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: joy that I enjoy being alone. I just enjoy just
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: being with my girl. That's joy to me. That I
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: can sit up and watch my grandchildren play, that I
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: can take my family on vacation and watch them enjoy myself.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: That puts a joy in me. That joy that I have,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: it's not manufactured or superficial. The joy that I have,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: that residing peace is because I have relationship with God.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: God has given me the peace that I have in
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: my life today. I wish I had discovered this years ago.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I could have saved myself a world of trouble, but
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I didn't. I was like a lot of people. I
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: was pursuing fun, trying to have it as many times
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: as I could, going to have fun. If I could
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: have understood about this residing piece, that it's okay to
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: be with me, that I don't need a bunch of
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: outside stimulation to feel good anymore. That I can sit back,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: close my eyes and be grateful and find joy. That
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I can sit up and just watch TV and be
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: in perfect peace and joy. That I can walk around
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: and ride my bike or walk down to the river
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: and just have joy. I could put my headsets on
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: and listen to some music and just have joy. Joy.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: To me, it's better than having fun. That's the difference, though,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: between fun and joy. One is manufactured and one is
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: provided with an everlasting piece relationship with God. If I
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: was you, I look for somebody that joy you feel me.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks today. I hope you got
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: something out of it. If not, don't worry. We'll be
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: back tomorrow, God willing. Maybe you'll like that one that.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: But in the meantime, y'all de self a favorite here.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Talk to God. He'd love to hear from them. For
