- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn, you got to turn them out,
- 1:46Speaker 1: turning water the water go. Come come on your thing,
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, man, boy, God has been
- 2:14Speaker 1: good to me. Man, I can't really count at all.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You can't either, you know, it's all in perspective. You
- 2:22Speaker 1: really can't count all that God has done for you
- 2:25Speaker 1: if you look at every little thing. It's unbelievable the
- 2:29Speaker 1: things He's done for us. How many times you know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we got through something without even talking to him about it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He just he just blessed us with it. How many
- 2:38Speaker 1: you know? It's just it's so much that the fact
- 2:41Speaker 1: that you wake up in the morning, the fact that
- 2:44Speaker 1: you still have a place to stay, the fact that
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know may be struggling out here, but guess what,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you still going to work you. You know, you live
- 2:51Speaker 1: in check the check, but but you're making it all.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You got all the plates spinning. You know, it's hard.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You got a lot of plates spinning, but you keep
- 2:57Speaker 1: him up there somewhere every now and near one break,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but he put two more back up there to look
- 3:01Speaker 1: a little bit better. And you got to get the
- 3:03Speaker 1: spending them so it all works. And then you got
- 3:07Speaker 1: a lot of people who just can't seem to mentally
- 3:11Speaker 1: put it together as to you know, why their life
- 3:16Speaker 1: isn't in a position that they wanted to be. We
- 3:18Speaker 1: talked about this oftentimes, but I want to try another
- 3:21Speaker 1: angle with you to day. You know, maybe it's you.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about that? Maybe it's you. Maybe
- 3:31Speaker 1: it's no external force that's at fault, like you keep
- 3:35Speaker 1: making the excuse to be You know, so many people
- 3:38Speaker 1: I hear, well, if this hadn't have done this, if
- 3:41Speaker 1: he hadn't have done that, if she hadn't have done that,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I would have been further along. I wasted all my time,
- 3:47Speaker 1: my years with this man, and he did this, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: I could have been here, and I could have been there,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and this woman she did this to me. If she
- 3:55Speaker 1: hadn't have done that, I could have been here, and
- 3:58Speaker 1: I could have been there. Maybe it's you. Maybe it's
- 4:03Speaker 1: not really that external force that you keep making it
- 4:06Speaker 1: out to be. See, I've done this to myself before.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Once again, I'm talking to you about something I know about.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I've done this to myself before. I've had the reason
- 4:20Speaker 1: I wasn't where I wanted to be. I had it
- 4:23Speaker 1: figured out as some external force. I had worked it
- 4:28Speaker 1: out in my mind. Clearly it wasn't me. Because if
- 4:33Speaker 1: so and so, or if this hadn't happened, and if
- 4:35Speaker 1: they hadn't have done this, I would have been further
- 4:38Speaker 1: along up the road. That's what I was saying. But
- 4:41Speaker 1: woldo hold on, man or learned a valuable lesson. Man. See,
- 4:47Speaker 1: if you don't ever let it go, it's gonna be
- 4:52Speaker 1: hard for you to go. If you don't ever let
- 4:57Speaker 1: it go, it's gonna be hard for you to go.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I was listening to Bishop td Jake's one day, and
- 5:05Speaker 1: I heard him say, you can't drive your car if
- 5:11Speaker 1: you're gonna keep looking in the rearview mirror. You go
- 5:15Speaker 1: outside and try that, Try to drive your car, but
- 5:18Speaker 1: keep your eye in the rearview mirror. All you looking
- 5:21Speaker 1: at is where you're being. All you looking at in
- 5:25Speaker 1: that rearview mirrors where you're passed or should have passed,
- 5:28Speaker 1: something you should have moved on from. All you're doing
- 5:32Speaker 1: is looking in that rearview mirror at what happened back there.
- 5:36Speaker 1: If you don't stop looking in the rearview mirror, you're
- 5:40Speaker 1: gonna crash your car over and over and over again.
- 5:45Speaker 1: All you got to slow it down so bad in
- 5:50Speaker 1: order for you to keep looking in that rearview mirror.
- 5:54Speaker 1: If you don't learn to let it go, it's gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: be hard for you to go forward because you keep
- 6:03Speaker 1: reviewing the past. The past is the past, and I
- 6:08Speaker 1: know it's hard. Man. I watched a show and this
- 6:10Speaker 1: lady said, well, I just can't ever forgive them for that,
- 6:14Speaker 1: or guess what, guess what God may have already forgiven
- 6:20Speaker 1: that person. That person may be extremely remorseful, could have
- 6:24Speaker 1: gone to God and God and forgiveness for it years ago.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But you you sit here and you keep hanging on
- 6:33Speaker 1: to the back. I can't ever forgive that. M Then
- 6:37Speaker 1: I heard Bishop Jakes come on the show one time
- 6:39Speaker 1: and say something that really really struck home. You keep
- 6:43Speaker 1: drinking the poison waiting on your enemy to die. He
- 6:50Speaker 1: said that. I just shook my head and went, wow,
- 6:53Speaker 1: you drinking the poison. Waiting on your enemy to die.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Revenge is poison to you, you know, if hatred is
- 7:06Speaker 1: poison to you. Unforgivingness, when you won't forgive a person,
- 7:12Speaker 1: that person could be going on with their life, made
- 7:15Speaker 1: the right with God. Don't know how you're feeling. They're
- 7:18Speaker 1: skipping through life. Now. You make adjustments every time you
- 7:21Speaker 1: see them, and it takes energy. Man, it takes so
- 7:24Speaker 1: much energy to hate. It takes so much energy not
- 7:27Speaker 1: to forgive too. Now they come in the room. You
- 7:30Speaker 1: got to avoid them. Stay over here, Oh here they come.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Now you got to make a situation over here. They
- 7:37Speaker 1: come into the house. It's family reunion. Oh here they come.
- 7:40Speaker 1: And where they're gonna be in the basement. I'm going
- 7:42Speaker 1: to be on the third floor. I want to go
- 7:43Speaker 1: outead and get some barbecue. She out there at the barbecue, staying,
- 7:46Speaker 1: Oh lord, I don't want a barbecue. I just eat
- 7:48Speaker 1: to take the salad. People man take themselves all out
- 7:51Speaker 1: of position, trying to make adjustments, when if you it
- 7:55Speaker 1: would simplify your life, if you would let just let
- 7:59Speaker 1: it go. Maybe you ain't where you need to be
- 8:02Speaker 1: because of them external forces altogether. Maybe you're not where
- 8:07Speaker 1: you need to be cause of you, because you won't
- 8:10Speaker 1: let it go, you won't move forward. Look at this, ladies.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Let's say you've been in a situation with a man
- 8:17Speaker 1: for years. It didn't work out. For whatever the reason,
- 8:21Speaker 1: it just didn't work out. I got, I got what
- 8:24Speaker 1: you said he did. I got what he did. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: got he I honor that. YadA, YadA YadA. When you
- 8:29Speaker 1: get through. Did not God get you through it? Did
- 8:35Speaker 1: not he allow you to survive it. I got you,
- 8:40Speaker 1: got some cuts on you, I got you been a
- 8:43Speaker 1: little bit bruised. But did he not get you through it? So,
- 8:48Speaker 1: now that he's freed you from it, now he didn't
- 8:50Speaker 1: went on. He got a whole other family over that somewhere.
- 8:53Speaker 1: He now he trying to make it right because maybe
- 8:56Speaker 1: he learned the mistake he made and now he trying
- 8:58Speaker 1: to be a better man. He just trying to get
- 9:00Speaker 1: it right now. But you're sitting there holding onto it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You're drinking the poison, waiting on your enemy to die.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So now instead of you enjoying the blessing of finally
- 9:10Speaker 1: being free from a situation that was not healthy for you.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You create an even more unhealthy situation in your mind
- 9:16Speaker 1: by hating, by having revengeful thoughts, by hoping he fall
- 9:22Speaker 1: on his face. Maybe you're even doing something to the
- 9:25Speaker 1: other situation to make sure they struggle. Oh man, you're
- 9:29Speaker 1: drinking the poison, waiting on your enemy to die. Maybe
- 9:32Speaker 1: you ain't where you ought to be in life, not
- 9:34Speaker 1: because of your external forces, but maybe it's you. If
- 9:40Speaker 1: you don't let it go, it's gonna be hard for
- 9:43Speaker 1: you to go. You can't keep driving your car looking
- 9:47Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror. Come on, man, Forgiveness is
- 9:52Speaker 1: not for the other person. Forgiveness is for You're show
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It is here to Steve Harvey Marning,
- 10:05Speaker 1: show us upon us. It's all the way, live in
- 10:09Speaker 1: living and vivid color. All of the performers on this
- 10:13Speaker 1: show possessed skin pigment of color, different levels to it.
- 10:20Speaker 1: It is all beautiful. Black is beautiful. That's a fact.
- 10:25Speaker 1: That's not a question. It is what it is. It
- 10:30Speaker 1: has been one of the great accomplishments and joys of
- 10:32Speaker 1: my life to be who I am. I thank God
- 10:36Speaker 1: for with all this oppressive moments, heartbeat, heart breaks and disappointments.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I have survived them all. It's made me stronger, and
- 10:47Speaker 1: Lord have mercy. I would have never made it without soul.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I thank the Lord for soul. Soul is the essence
- 10:55Speaker 1: of who I am. Whenever it get dark, for me
- 10:59Speaker 1: out of prayer, I rely on soul. Soul, cooking, soul, food, soul, saying, soul,
- 11:09Speaker 1: active soul handling. Those of you who have it know
- 11:16Speaker 1: exactly what I'm talking about. Turning strawberry calling for real
- 11:20Speaker 1: mouth or the South Junior legend, Nephew Tommy Junior was
- 11:25Speaker 1: on your mind? Is more than many. Let me add
- 11:27Speaker 1: summer sixty five years? Man, would you would have did
- 11:31Speaker 1: it any different up to be where you had today?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Do you ever have feel like you had to do
- 11:35Speaker 1: it different? Oh? Do I wish I could have done
- 11:39Speaker 1: a different year? Yeah? Oh yeah? Oh oh, well, I
- 11:46Speaker 1: can tell you the stuff I wish I could have skip. Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Some of those valuable lessons were just a little bit
- 11:53Speaker 1: too damn value. So lessons was a little too well learned.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Some of them things I went through I thought was
- 12:04Speaker 1: stretched out a bit. Yeah, I was looking at God
- 12:08Speaker 1: going ahead. Hey, Hey, Hey, I know you tested me,
- 12:13Speaker 1: but what is this about? I said, I got it
- 12:18Speaker 1: clearly he felt differently. So do I wish some things
- 12:26Speaker 1: were happened differently, Yes, But then when I look at
- 12:29Speaker 1: the totality of what I am and who I am,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I wouldn't be this without all those moments. So I
- 12:36Speaker 1: needed those moments. And that's why when you ask God
- 12:39Speaker 1: for something, he never tells you what it's gonna cost
- 12:42Speaker 1: to attain it. He never shows you the whole path
- 12:47Speaker 1: of what it required, because if he did, we would
- 12:51Speaker 1: all say, that's okay, I want something else. Because if
- 12:55Speaker 1: you knew to get the way you are to day,
- 12:58Speaker 1: that you was gonna have to take the route you
- 13:00Speaker 1: who boy, if he'd if he'd ha told you you
- 13:06Speaker 1: was gonna meet her on him, if he'd ha told
- 13:11Speaker 1: you that decision you made was gonna call this ripple effect.
- 13:18Speaker 1: That's why you never tell He never shows you the path.
- 13:22Speaker 1: He just allows you to dream and have the vision.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Let that spur you on too, Greatness. That's the answer
- 13:28Speaker 1: to your question today, y'all have a great day to
- 13:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvard Morning Show it on and crack as it is.
- 13:35Speaker 1: All right, all right, coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:39Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll run that prank back with the
- 13:41Speaker 1: nephew right after this. You're listening show, All right, guys,
- 13:47Speaker 1: it is time to start your morning off with the
- 13:49Speaker 1: nephew and run that prank back. What you got for us?

- 14:38Speaker 1: talking to her about getting this whole problem taking care
- 14:40Speaker 1: of what what's the what's the situation? What's what's the
- 14:43Speaker 1: what's going on? I mean, I'm basically right now, I'm
- 14:47Speaker 1: twenty five hundred dollars in the rears due to due
- 14:51Speaker 1: to Chanie and and I, you know, I need to
- 14:55Speaker 1: see if she's gonna be able to pay me for
- 14:57Speaker 1: this situation or what, you know, owe you money? She

- 19:50Speaker 1: believe my next stops to come. Fine. Your first of all,
- 19:53Speaker 1: how did you get the number to this apartment? That's
- 19:55Speaker 1: what I want to know. They do. She gave me
- 19:57Speaker 1: both numbers, the cell phone number in the house and
- 19:59Speaker 1: number on me. You know, if it's an emergency, call
- 20:02Speaker 1: the house. Okay, and this is an emergency. Yeah, that's
- 20:04Speaker 1: an emergency. I got learn another emergency number, learning nine
- 20:09Speaker 1: one one because when I come now, come on your dog.
- 20:11Speaker 1: If you come out on you handle it or you
- 20:13Speaker 1: better call the cops. You understand what I'm trying to
- 20:15Speaker 1: tell you. Hey, man, do you think Tommy will pay
- 20:19Speaker 1: for the bad bugs? Who is Tommy? I'm just saying,
- 20:22Speaker 1: do you think Tommy will pay for the bad but who?
- 20:24Speaker 1: It's Tommy? Tommy dog nephew Tommy From the Steve Harvey
- 20:28Speaker 1: Morning Show. Ernest, you just got bright by your girl
- 20:32Speaker 1: shot niece. Man, y'all y'all? Or hey, it was over,
- 20:42Speaker 1: It was over. You understand what I'm telling you. It's
- 20:45Speaker 1: an old wood all right, thinking nephew, Okay, all right?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is asked to cel with the
- 20:56Speaker 1: Chief Love Officers, Steve Harvey in the building, ready for
- 20:58Speaker 1: your love questions. Right after this you're listening to coming
- 21:04Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. In Trending Entertainment News,
- 21:07Speaker 1: Beyonce is at the center of attention yet again, and
- 21:11Speaker 1: this time R and B singer Tank claps back at
- 21:15Speaker 1: a bishop who criticized her song Church Girl. Now we'll
- 21:19Speaker 1: talk about that and other entertainment news. A deputy shockingly
- 21:23Speaker 1: testified during the Vanessa Bryant trial against the City of
- 21:26Speaker 1: Los Angeles that said he doesn't regret taking pictures of
- 21:31Speaker 1: the Kobe Bryant crash site. We'll also talk about that
- 21:35Speaker 1: all of these stories at the top of the hour,
- 21:37Speaker 1: but right now it is time to ask the CLO
- 21:41Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in Build Yeah, friend in
- 21:47Speaker 1: Jersey writes, my ex makes co parenting hard because he's
- 21:51Speaker 1: dating the woman that he cheated on me with. Our
- 21:54Speaker 1: fourteen year old daughter is upset because the woman is
- 21:57Speaker 1: moving in with her dad and she doesn't want to
- 21:59Speaker 1: go see him anymore. How do I explain to her
- 22:02Speaker 1: that it's fine when it's not fine and I'm very
- 22:05Speaker 1: upset with him. Well, you know, she's fourteen. It's hard
- 22:12Speaker 1: to make her feel something that she doesn't feel because
- 22:17Speaker 1: she's she knows. See. First of all, you all shared
- 22:22Speaker 1: too much information with the child, because the child should
- 22:28Speaker 1: not know that her father cheated with this woman. But
- 22:34Speaker 1: this is what happens when you when you allowed your
- 22:37Speaker 1: kids to overhear and participate in conversations about grown folk business.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So not a young girl. She got some information that
- 22:46Speaker 1: she don't really have the band with the handle, So
- 22:49Speaker 1: now you really want to help her, But then you
- 22:51Speaker 1: support her feelings too. You see what I'm saying. Because
- 22:54Speaker 1: you you allied your children against the father. You do
- 22:58Speaker 1: understand that, right, So now I can't help you. He cheated, Shirley, Shirley,
- 23:07Speaker 1: I'm not saying that it's nothing the man did is right. Right,
- 23:11Speaker 1: the fact that the young girl at fourteen has that
- 23:14Speaker 1: information and who gave her the information the mother. I
- 23:20Speaker 1: promise you that daddy didn't go over there and say, look,
- 23:23Speaker 1: this is the chick that I cheated on your mama with.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Now she has the girl on her side. Now you
- 23:30Speaker 1: gotta deal with that. Well, he still cheated, that's my point.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Moving on, this is up. He cheated. I got that,
- 23:47Speaker 1: But she has a problem with the daughter now because
- 23:50Speaker 1: she shared the information with the daughter. The daughter she
- 23:53Speaker 1: did not even know who this woman is. She should
- 23:57Speaker 1: just say that, but shelly, no, the author daughter should think,
- 24:04Speaker 1: is this is the lady that my dad is moving
- 24:06Speaker 1: on with. But she now knows this is the lady
- 24:09Speaker 1: my daddy's moving on with, who cheated on my mother.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That's what asked the clo said the lady her mom
- 24:19Speaker 1: and dad aren't together anymore, and she's mad about it,
- 24:22Speaker 1: this other woman. And because she don't like the other woman,
- 24:26Speaker 1: because that's the woman that cheated on her, because her
- 24:29Speaker 1: mama told her dad. It don't matter, Joanne and Tampa says,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I'm a nurse and I work work over nights and
- 24:37Speaker 1: when I get home in the morning, I'm ready for sex.
- 24:40Speaker 1: He says he's not a morning person, but he used
- 24:43Speaker 1: to be. I don't like that he switched up and
- 24:46Speaker 1: I need to know what's up with him. We haven't
- 24:49Speaker 1: had sex and close to a month. Is it common
- 24:52Speaker 1: for men to not want morning sex? It's you this
- 24:57Speaker 1: man's It's uncomm for a man not to want sex
- 25:01Speaker 1: for a month. I don't care what time of the
- 25:03Speaker 1: day it is. It don't matter. Mm hmm. I've been
- 25:07Speaker 1: at the barbecue wanting ask your location quick by the grill.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I'm just talking about I don't understand he don't want
- 25:19Speaker 1: it in the morning, Well, when do you want it?
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out when you don't want it, right,
- 25:26Speaker 1: that's her point. Yeah, I'm trying to figure out when
- 25:28Speaker 1: it is you don't want it. So it may have
- 25:31Speaker 1: something to do with you, ma'am, Like what like maybe
- 25:37Speaker 1: the technique or something. You know, he used to be
- 25:40Speaker 1: a morning person. Maybe it's the technique. Maybe it's the approach.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Maybe it's the threat, you know, threat, What do you mean?
- 25:52Speaker 1: It can be that way sometime. So you just gonna
- 25:56Speaker 1: go to work without tightening me up. Okay, Sorry, I
- 26:00Speaker 1: just wanted to go to one. Yeah. I don't see
- 26:04Speaker 1: how this is her fault, but anyway, I didn't say
- 26:07Speaker 1: it was her fault. Shirley, Wait a minute, hold up,
- 26:10Speaker 1: this segment is called the clo I know this ain't
- 26:13Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Your opinion up? What you quit? A
- 26:17Speaker 1: quick checking my answer? You know what you're gonna do?
- 26:21Speaker 1: You know what you're fitting to do? Is you fitting
- 26:23Speaker 1: to participate in the show as a Christian? And you're
- 26:28Speaker 1: gonna be a better Christian on this show. I'm just
- 26:31Speaker 1: saying how I didn't say it was her fault. I'm
- 26:36Speaker 1: trying to get into it could be her approach. It's
- 26:43Speaker 1: just something to think about. I can't fix him because hey,
- 26:47Speaker 1: or he ain't listening. But she wrote the letter. I'm
- 26:50Speaker 1: trying to help her. I'll not keep doing this with you,
- 26:56Speaker 1: looking on to Daniel and Charlotte. You I had to
- 27:00Speaker 1: move out of Tania, okay. Tanya says, I went to
- 27:05Speaker 1: brunch this weekend with my crew and I slipped in fell,
- 27:08Speaker 1: spraining my ankle. My husband picked me up and was
- 27:12Speaker 1: irritated because I didn't have on any panties. I didn't
- 27:18Speaker 1: want penny lines in my dress, so I didn't wear
- 27:21Speaker 1: any How can he be more concerned about my panties
- 27:25Speaker 1: instead of my sprained ankle. There ain't never been a
- 27:30Speaker 1: problem of mine. I care if you have withdrawals or not.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I'll clap for you. Give my baby back standing old, Babho,
- 27:46Speaker 1: she walked out of you. Where was they aout any pennies?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Old went to brunch? Give my baby by standing old
- 28:03Speaker 1: she walked out of you without any pennies. Ow, we're
- 28:10Speaker 1: moving on, Missy and Michigan says, I'm dating a forty
- 28:18Speaker 1: five year old man that uses a lot of body
- 28:21Speaker 1: sprays and cologne's. I don't like hugging on him because
- 28:25Speaker 1: I smell like him. All day. Where are men supposed
- 28:29Speaker 1: to wear cologne on their body? Where are men supposed
- 28:32Speaker 1: to wear cologne on their body? How do I convince
- 28:35Speaker 1: him to allow just to apply just a little bit
- 28:39Speaker 1: of it? Well, he needs coaching at this point. He
- 28:44Speaker 1: needs coaching. You know. He watches the acts commercials and
- 28:48Speaker 1: he spreading it on him like a teenager, thinking it's
- 28:51Speaker 1: gonna have women more attracted to him. He's basically on.
- 28:54Speaker 1: His smelling name is acute as a woman. So he
- 28:57Speaker 1: putting it on to he can smell it, and he
- 28:59Speaker 1: got too much on. You can sit him down and say, hey, baby,
- 29:02Speaker 1: you need to pull back on the cologne. Let me
- 29:05Speaker 1: show you how to put it on now he said,
- 29:07Speaker 1: I can't smell it. Well, it's for other people to
- 29:09Speaker 1: smell stupid. I mean, have you spread entertainment news? Thank
- 29:17Speaker 1: you you're listening. We have a special guest coming up
- 29:25Speaker 1: at about twenty minutes after the hour. It's comedian and
- 29:28Speaker 1: actress Miss Pat from the Miss Patch show that airs
- 29:33Speaker 1: that streams. I'm b et plus this is our first
- 29:35Speaker 1: time visiting us. Can't wait to talk to her. And uh,
- 29:39Speaker 1: she's funny, funny show, funny show, and she's really really funny. Yeah,
- 29:45Speaker 1: so can't wait for that. Um. Also an entertainment news,
- 29:49Speaker 1: Beyonce is at the center of attention again. Yeah yeah,
- 29:54Speaker 1: well we all know. Uh, I don't know. Have you
- 29:57Speaker 1: seen pastor? His name is Bishop pat Trick Wooten. He's
- 30:01Speaker 1: condemning her song, church Girl. Take a listen, Beyonce, just
- 30:06Speaker 1: release sacrilege. The only thing I can account for some
- 30:15Speaker 1: of this stuff is somebody has sold their soul to
- 30:18Speaker 1: the devil. Now, all I can said to you this,
- 30:23Speaker 1: when you say your soul to the devil, you get
- 30:26Speaker 1: the short end of the stick. Because you would You're
- 30:30Speaker 1: not gonna live but so long. And when you leave
- 30:33Speaker 1: here where you're going, you're going to be that fever.
- 30:37Speaker 1: So it's not it's not it's not a good deal.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I don't care what it gives you. But this piece
- 30:45Speaker 1: of shrash, yes, sir, that's release. And she named it
- 30:53Speaker 1: church girl? Would she? Oh? Like his voice? Though? I
- 31:05Speaker 1: can I say something. Yes, I've seen him as a
- 31:09Speaker 1: pastor before. Really really good guy, really really great pastor.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I've noticed a trend coming from the pool pit a
- 31:18Speaker 1: lot lately, whether our pastors who are using all celebrities
- 31:24Speaker 1: as examples. Now and it's a growing trend and it's
- 31:30Speaker 1: disturbing to me because what is your messaging. And I've
- 31:33Speaker 1: listened to the lyrics to the song. I pulled them
- 31:36Speaker 1: all up and read them. Pastors, it's a miss. I
- 31:41Speaker 1: think it's a misassessment of what it is. I don't
- 31:43Speaker 1: think Beyonce sold her soul to the devil at all. No,
- 31:48Speaker 1: not at all, not Beyonce. I think what happened is
- 31:53Speaker 1: he doesn't like the fact that she called the church girl.
- 31:56Speaker 1: All the people in the church are sinners, all of them. Now.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Shed To wrote her song about this church girl that's
- 32:04Speaker 1: out there at the club, dropping it like us Hot
- 32:07Speaker 1: and Steven. It's on top of a Clark's Sister song
- 32:10Speaker 1: Center of Thy Will by the Clark's Sisters and Twinkie.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Clark thanked Beyonce for listening to her music and she
- 32:19Speaker 1: said it hoped that it blesses her soul. Here you
- 32:22Speaker 1: will it will. And then Tank, you know who also
- 32:27Speaker 1: grew up in church. R and B singer Tank clapped
- 32:30Speaker 1: back at the bishop saying, who are you, pastor to
- 32:34Speaker 1: question the salvation of Beyonce? He said, who gives you
- 32:37Speaker 1: the authority and that right to question what she believes
- 32:40Speaker 1: in her heart because of a song on top of
- 32:42Speaker 1: a Clark's Sisters record. So see. And and that's another
- 32:46Speaker 1: thing too that's disturbing when pastors used these examples. Geno Jennings.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Pastor Geno Jennings is like the top of the list guy.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I don't know him personally, don't know anything about him.
- 33:00Speaker 1: It's just every time I catch a clip of him,
- 33:02Speaker 1: he's dogging some celebrity, some famous person. I don't know
- 33:05Speaker 1: if it's for eyeballs or anything. But to this pastor
- 33:09Speaker 1: that jumped on Beyonce, if if these lyrics have you
- 33:13Speaker 1: upset and you're called in this sacrilege, you must have
- 33:17Speaker 1: missed the other menas and other artists. I I don't
- 33:24Speaker 1: know if you ain't been listening over the past twenty years,
- 33:28Speaker 1: but they got some stuff out here. Boy, church girl
- 33:31Speaker 1: ain't nothing. I'm gonna tell you right now. Church girl
- 33:35Speaker 1: ain't nothing. Wow. And let's let's be clear about this though. Uh,
- 33:40Speaker 1: just so we set the record strate that deacon in
- 33:42Speaker 1: the background ain't got nothing on your deacon. Okay, I'm
- 33:45Speaker 1: just letting you know he ain't. He ain't got nothing
- 33:47Speaker 1: on deaf jam motime. I heard that deacon in the background.
- 33:50Speaker 1: He's amens and all that he ain't got nothing on
- 33:59Speaker 1: to talk about. Beyond says, come on here now, new record.
- 34:05Speaker 1: That's right, church good. I want to say I am
- 34:13Speaker 1: in total support or sister beyond. Yeah, I know her
- 34:20Speaker 1: mama and her daddy personally fine folks. Brain to beat
- 34:25Speaker 1: in and won't you agree with me? Deacon? I agree
- 34:31Speaker 1: whole heart? See or church girl, it's just lyrics. Let
- 34:40Speaker 1: me see here. I had it a moment ago. I
- 34:42Speaker 1: lost it. Oh, I lost it, But what can you
- 34:50Speaker 1: find it? I'm trying now. I'm warning everybody. As soon
- 35:00Speaker 1: as I get in this party, I'm gonna let go
- 35:04Speaker 1: or this body, I'm gonna love on me. Nobody can
- 35:09Speaker 1: judge me but me. I was born free. Finally, or
- 35:16Speaker 1: the chorus comes in and saying, drop it like a thought,
- 35:21Speaker 1: drop it like a thought. I saw no pop in,
- 35:26Speaker 1: lock thought it popping. Locker thought it you bad? Or
- 35:30Speaker 1: were saying no dropping? Locker thought it dropping? Locker thought
- 35:34Speaker 1: it you bad? Church girl acting loose? Bad girls? Actor?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Snota I said, snotting Proppert Locker thought because I'm a
- 35:43Speaker 1: hearted I want to say, if you're a church girl,
- 35:48Speaker 1: come in. You got it like that? Keep it like that?
- 35:53Speaker 1: All right? Amen? Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 35:56Speaker 1: comedian and actress Miss Pat will be our special guests.
- 35:59Speaker 1: We'll talk about her show, Miss Pat on b ET

- 36:45Speaker 1: welcome to the show, comedian, Miss Pat. Thank you for
- 36:53Speaker 1: coming to ignant. That made my ev You know what,
- 36:58Speaker 1: you are ignorant and I'm able to call you that,
- 37:01Speaker 1: Miss Patten, because I'm ignorant myself and game. First, how
- 37:09Speaker 1: did the show come about? Whose idea wasn't Well? It
- 37:13Speaker 1: took five years, Steve, and we went through several writers.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I could have been on TV a little early. And
- 37:17Speaker 1: I was like, nah, that ain't funny. So after two writers,
- 37:20Speaker 1: Lee Daniel because if Lee Daniel Roun hopped the show,
- 37:23Speaker 1: we'll imagine if Lee Daniels like, I think I found
- 37:26Speaker 1: you somebody. He got a twenty six year kid was
- 37:28Speaker 1: twenty two at a time, straight out of college, and
- 37:31Speaker 1: we got together. He was just as ign as I was,
- 37:34Speaker 1: and he was like, they need to let you cus.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I was like, these white people ain't gonna never let
- 37:37Speaker 1: a big black woman like me cuse. And he was like, well,
- 37:39Speaker 1: you need to leave Fox. And we went over to
- 37:41Speaker 1: Hulu and they dropped it and B T plus and
- 37:44Speaker 1: say Lee, b T plus say oh there's some black stuff.
- 37:47Speaker 1: We'll take it. And we're done rock and roll with
- 37:49Speaker 1: d T plus ever since, Let's talk about this for
- 37:55Speaker 1: a minute, because you haven't been nominated for Emmy for
- 37:58Speaker 1: Best Directing the Comedy Series, and the show been making
- 38:02Speaker 1: history as the first BT show that has ever received
- 38:06Speaker 1: an Emmy nomination for a Special Series. Now, how does
- 38:09Speaker 1: that make you for me? Yeah? Oh, you know that
- 38:13Speaker 1: made me ask for a raise. Who know, black phone
- 38:21Speaker 1: gets something. They were like, we're gonna need I'm gonna
- 38:23Speaker 1: leave a little bit more money right there. Now, y'all
- 38:25Speaker 1: have never been on this market. I made people know that, y'all.
- 38:30Speaker 1: But overall it made me feel great because of what
- 38:33Speaker 1: this show went through and how people try to change
- 38:36Speaker 1: me in the beginning. And I told him, I said,
- 38:38Speaker 1: I'm no Claire Huxable. Why don't y'all put a real
- 38:40Speaker 1: mum on TV? Or convicted Felling? I convicted Fellings. I
- 38:43Speaker 1: used to for its check. Why don't it's real mother's
- 38:46Speaker 1: out there? That won't make me bad because I used
- 38:48Speaker 1: to white write white people check. See that means I
- 38:51Speaker 1: needed money at the time. Yeah, so so people just
- 38:57Speaker 1: want to see real stuff, real topics about the black
- 39:00Speaker 1: immunity and not water down. You know, all fat girls
- 39:03Speaker 1: don't get loved that big old black man on that
- 39:06Speaker 1: TV show loved me because my real husband and life
- 39:08Speaker 1: loved me, and they never show that. They always show
- 39:11Speaker 1: up to my old mama who looked like she jogging,
- 39:13Speaker 1: eat healthy, Tyler, my teeth late. Hang on, hey, stay
- 39:24Speaker 1: right there, hang on, We're gonna come back with more,

- 40:18Speaker 1: you know, yeah, I passed the statue of limitations. I
- 40:22Speaker 1: know when I can talk either one. I'm running for presidentially.
- 40:25Speaker 1: It's okay. Yeah, but congratulations, you know. Hey, hey, hey,
- 40:31Speaker 1: miss Patten. Now you got an interesting cast here because
- 40:33Speaker 1: you yeah, I don't know, how did you pick Tammy Roman?
- 40:37Speaker 1: Was that a decision of the network. Did you come
- 40:40Speaker 1: up with it? Because because it seems like such a
- 40:42Speaker 1: perfect fit for the show. You know, the the co
- 40:45Speaker 1: creator when I when I got with him and we
- 40:48Speaker 1: wrote the pilot behind Fox Back and gave it to
- 40:50Speaker 1: him and he just pulled out. He said, I know
- 40:52Speaker 1: who the daddy is and I know who the suos.
- 40:54Speaker 1: And I looked at Tammy Roman on her Bunney cronnies
- 40:58Speaker 1: and I was like, this girl crazy. I don't want her.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I had no idea. She was a reality star, unchilled,
- 41:02Speaker 1: she did shit and I was like, no, reality stars
- 41:05Speaker 1: can't act, and he's like, she can act, and let
- 41:08Speaker 1: me tell you something. I did not want her. I
- 41:10Speaker 1: told this story a hundred times when I tell you
- 41:13Speaker 1: she came in and tucked that role. She tucked that role,
- 41:16Speaker 1: and it's history. We got were like Luci and Elsa, Yeah,
- 41:22Speaker 1: you are good, very good together. When you're doing the show,
- 41:26Speaker 1: miss pat, what do you want people? What do you
- 41:28Speaker 1: want to take away to be? I mean, you know,
- 41:30Speaker 1: I don't have to be nothing, no viviting or anything.
- 41:33Speaker 1: But when the person watches your show, what what do
- 41:36Speaker 1: you want them to to have or take away when
- 41:39Speaker 1: they watch it? You know, it's My show is a
- 41:42Speaker 1: lot about healing. It's every episode is something that I
- 41:45Speaker 1: went through. Like this season was all healing. It was
- 41:47Speaker 1: like chime molestation. It was about role versus way abortion
- 41:51Speaker 1: that I had back when I was young. It's about family,
- 41:54Speaker 1: So I want them to take away no matter what
- 41:57Speaker 1: you've been through in your life, you can laugh about it.
- 42:00Speaker 1: When you can laugh about it, you got control of it.
- 42:03Speaker 1: That's why I put my life out there on display.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I'm not the only person I've been molested. I did
- 42:07Speaker 1: a whole whole episode on molestation black hair, how my
- 42:12Speaker 1: mama told me bid nappy head and I was ugly.
- 42:14Speaker 1: The trauma a little black girl started early. I never
- 42:18Speaker 1: called my daughter hair because my mom always told me
- 42:21Speaker 1: my hair was nappy. So I took my daughter to
- 42:23Speaker 1: the beauty part and immediately primed her half because of
- 42:26Speaker 1: what I was talking. So I want people to take
- 42:28Speaker 1: away healing. It's okay to put your darkest things out
- 42:32Speaker 1: there and talk about it. Wow. Very nice. Yeah, what
- 42:38Speaker 1: a little cursing now we talk see this? Try I
- 42:43Speaker 1: don't see see. I've never seen this in a sitcom before,
- 42:48Speaker 1: especially Beet. I know I wasn't gonna see it on Fox,
- 42:51Speaker 1: and Fox was a little more daring than everybody else
- 42:54Speaker 1: over the years, but never to that extent. I would
- 42:58Speaker 1: love to do a project like that itself. Um, what
- 43:02Speaker 1: you want to cuss on family to you, what are
- 43:04Speaker 1: you trying to call me? Steve? I got some? My deal,
- 43:13Speaker 1: just call me that got some. You know that's my
- 43:16Speaker 1: vocabulary custom right now. My husband hate to hear me
- 43:19Speaker 1: say to Pete words, he says, I'm making this custom. Hey, hey,
- 43:30Speaker 1: if we got two season two coming up, Miss Pat?
- 43:32Speaker 1: What can we expect on season two? Oh? Like I said,
- 43:36Speaker 1: black hair from a less station, to my family getting
- 43:39Speaker 1: wrong everything, that's what true to me. That by me
- 43:43Speaker 1: living in this all white neighborhood and all the trauma
- 43:45Speaker 1: that I went through. It's a it's a heavy it's
- 43:47Speaker 1: a heavy season, but it's a funny season. It's a
- 43:51Speaker 1: funny I guarantee you that. And if you don't believe me,
- 43:54Speaker 1: just look at Twitter. They ain't stop talking yet me
- 43:57Speaker 1: For season three, everybody, go to b et plus today
- 44:04Speaker 1: and make it a habit and start streaming the Miss
- 44:06Speaker 1: Pat Show. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. This girl
- 44:10Speaker 1: is funny and above all else, her ass is ignorant
- 44:14Speaker 1: and that I appreciate more than anything. I appreciate that
- 44:19Speaker 1: y'all give it up for the Miss Pat. Miss Pratt,
- 44:24Speaker 1: You're listening show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Right about four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for
- 44:33Speaker 1: today and the subject is get this guy's he's never
- 44:38Speaker 1: ever pleased ever No U. We'll find out what that's
- 44:44Speaker 1: all about in just a minute, but right now the
- 44:48Speaker 1: nephew is here with today's praying phone call. What you
- 44:51Speaker 1: got for us? Now? I don't know yet. I'm trying
- 44:55Speaker 1: to go through my archives here, Sharlene and something. Uh
- 45:04Speaker 1: that old school roller decks, aren't you? Yeah? Yeah, that's
- 45:07Speaker 1: that's all my stuff written day to day. Ain't nothing online, nothing, junior, Right,
- 45:18Speaker 1: this is all filed. This is like library. Yeah, these
- 45:24Speaker 1: pranks are a file. You know what I'm saying. This
- 45:27Speaker 1: is when you when you go to the what's that
- 45:30Speaker 1: thing you used to go to in the library in
- 45:31Speaker 1: the Oh my god, what is that call? Yeah? Called catalog? Yeah,
- 45:39Speaker 1: pull it up and it's a screen. That first time
- 45:40Speaker 1: we was really looking at a screen right there. That's
- 45:42Speaker 1: that right there. But anyway, it's those kind of our caives. Okay, yes, okay,
- 45:50Speaker 1: it's those kind of our caves. But anyway, this is
- 45:52Speaker 1: right here is church parking lot, Church parking lot. I'm
- 45:57Speaker 1: looking at the right here in the files Church parking lot. Okay,
- 46:01Speaker 1: it's written in pencil with a number two pencils church boxes.
- 46:05Speaker 1: They were represents from Trump. Understand he got a plank
- 46:15Speaker 1: in here? What is he doing with a prank in now?
- 46:17Speaker 1: Church parking lot? Let's go cat down. H yeah, Brendan, Hey,
- 46:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach you. How you doing, uh, Brita.
- 46:30Speaker 1: I don't want to make sure I got the right person.
- 46:31Speaker 1: You're the person that uh you work at the at
- 46:33Speaker 1: the first of all, I go to uh, my name,
- 46:37Speaker 1: my name, Calvin Brother, Calvin Brother. I go to Saint
- 46:41Speaker 1: Missionary Baptist Church where you yeah, so yeah, so everything,
- 46:46Speaker 1: everything's fine. Well, I got a little issue and I'm
- 46:49Speaker 1: trying to get to the bottom of it. Now. You
- 46:52Speaker 1: work in the full service. Start, you work in the
- 46:55Speaker 1: parking lot one and you tell people where the park
- 47:01Speaker 1: and stuff right right right? Were you looking for some employment?
- 47:05Speaker 1: You want to you want to join us? Nah? Nah? Nah?
- 47:09Speaker 1: To see the issue I got, Man, I've been dealing
- 47:10Speaker 1: with this probably about the last two months. Nine. Okay,
- 47:15Speaker 1: hold on, I'm trying to take So the problem is
- 47:17Speaker 1: when I come to the church. Last couple of months, man,
- 47:21Speaker 1: I've been I've been coming like my my my my
- 47:24Speaker 1: regular card and broke down on me. So I had
- 47:26Speaker 1: I got an old van that I've been about that. Yeah, yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 1: you know, I got an old van and I've been
- 47:30Speaker 1: using to get around in so Nah, for the last
- 47:34Speaker 1: two months, I've been riding in it when I come
- 47:35Speaker 1: to the church. You know you and I find out
- 47:39Speaker 1: who you were. But you keep sending me to the
- 47:43Speaker 1: back of the parking lot. And then but you know
- 47:45Speaker 1: I noticed now nah, bro no on the reel, so
- 47:49Speaker 1: you're sending me to the back, and I'm noticing when
- 47:51Speaker 1: I see cars as like two thousand and ten, two
- 47:53Speaker 1: thousand and fifteen cars. We'll listen. We don't have new
- 47:58Speaker 1: uh set place where we're putt car. You know, I
- 48:00Speaker 1: just I just direct the traffic. Brother, Okay, So so
- 48:04Speaker 1: you're trying to tell me for the last two months
- 48:06Speaker 1: you just direct traffic, but you got but you directed
- 48:09Speaker 1: me to the back every time. But a car behind
- 48:12Speaker 1: me or car in front of me, he'll be going
- 48:14Speaker 1: to the front. NA. Where you getting this information from me?
- 48:18Speaker 1: I just I didn't seen you man or send people
- 48:21Speaker 1: to the front to park. I haven't seen you do no. No,
- 48:24Speaker 1: I just I just put you know, the bigger vehicles
- 48:27Speaker 1: in the in the back. And uh certain you know
- 48:33Speaker 1: it's really no sketter. If if you come in, I
- 48:35Speaker 1: just I just direct you to the right the left.
- 48:37Speaker 1: It's really nothing to it. Really, so you're not trying
- 48:40Speaker 1: to say so. So my my band being a raggedy
- 48:43Speaker 1: ain't the reason why I'm being No bro, no bro, no, no, no,
- 48:46Speaker 1: I no, that's not what we're about. Na, Okay, I'm

- 49:15Speaker 1: it is that serious, because see what's I don't know.
- 49:17Speaker 1: I know I got a ragged ass band. I know that.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I know that, but I see that's the reason why
- 49:21Speaker 1: I'm getting sent to the back. And I know it

- 49:52Speaker 1: You're calling me. You're calling me out of the blue,
- 49:54Speaker 1: and you're accused me of something that I'm not doing. No, no,
- 49:58Speaker 1: you just sent my ragged ass vand to the back.
- 50:00Speaker 1: You didn't done it. You didn't done it two months straight, Brendan,
- 50:04Speaker 1: you have done it, heaven, Yes you know I haven't. Yes,
- 50:06Speaker 1: you haven't. You send all the pretty cards up front,
- 50:08Speaker 1: that's what you're doing. But I tell you what comes
- 50:10Speaker 1: suddenly gonna be a problem. Now you're threatening me. I
- 50:14Speaker 1: mean now, now, listen, we can meet up at it.
- 50:16Speaker 1: We can meet up at it before any cards get there.
- 50:18Speaker 1: How about that I don't care how you want to
- 50:20Speaker 1: do it. Brendan, you actually do know how you want
- 50:22Speaker 1: to do it, So bring it then. Okay, I'm letting
- 50:24Speaker 1: you know my card. Yeah, my van gonna be front

- 50:31Speaker 1: that you want you want? You want to talk tough

- 51:42Speaker 1: in the check try and get my life together. And
- 51:45Speaker 1: you think you're just gonna talk to me. You got
- 51:47Speaker 1: another thing coming, brother, I'm gonna tell you that right now.
- 51:49Speaker 1: So if you want to get it off, meet me
- 51:52Speaker 1: in the parking lot right now. I give you an
- 51:53Speaker 1: hour to get there your piece of tonight. Now you're
- 51:56Speaker 1: trying to scare me with your with your background, I
- 51:59Speaker 1: tell you what it is. You're trying to scare me
- 52:00Speaker 1: with your background or something like ever then you. I
- 52:03Speaker 1: ain't know you have been in jail. Who's the wrong woman.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say this. Do you know Lester that
- 52:08Speaker 1: that also he also had the cards parking Would you
- 52:12Speaker 1: try to buy buy yourself out of this? Now you're
- 52:16Speaker 1: talking about I know a Lester. Okay, okay, Leicester, he's

- 54:52Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject He's never ever pleased.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm thirty four years old and I
- 55:01Speaker 1: own a hair salon in a strip mall. I've been
- 55:05Speaker 1: hanging out with a thirty eight year old dentist who
- 55:07Speaker 1: works directly above my salon. I need your advice on
- 55:10Speaker 1: how to deal with him. He is never ever pleased
- 55:14Speaker 1: with anything, and the first time we met, he came
- 55:17Speaker 1: down to my salon and told me to turn my
- 55:19Speaker 1: music down. I told him to relax, and he got mad.
- 55:23Speaker 1: A few days after that, he came back down and
- 55:26Speaker 1: asked if he could get ado over. He told me
- 55:28Speaker 1: he was very accomplished and listed all the things he
- 55:31Speaker 1: owned and said he is single because he knows what
- 55:35Speaker 1: he likes and won't settle for less. I was intrigued
- 55:38Speaker 1: and asked him to go see a movie with me.
- 55:40Speaker 1: He was displeased with the theater and he said the
- 55:43Speaker 1: popcorn was burnt. I wore a sun dress and sneakers,
- 55:47Speaker 1: and he said he prefers that women wear their toes out.
- 55:50Speaker 1: He picked me up and he commented that I live
- 55:53Speaker 1: in a transitioning neighborhood, which to me meant that I
- 55:56Speaker 1: live in a ghetto. I told him I would let
- 55:59Speaker 1: us comment and slide so we would not argue. We
- 56:02Speaker 1: still hang out, and he's always complaining. He tells me
- 56:06Speaker 1: what I should do with my hair or what I
- 56:08Speaker 1: should wear when we're hanging out. But the most irritating
- 56:12Speaker 1: thing about him is the sex. Don't get me wrong,
- 56:15Speaker 1: He's really good in bed, but he told me that
- 56:18Speaker 1: I fall short of pleasing him the way he is
- 56:20Speaker 1: used to getting pleased. I do my best, but he
- 56:24Speaker 1: critiques every sexual encounter we have and tells me what
- 56:28Speaker 1: I need to work on. I have never been told
- 56:30Speaker 1: that I can't please a man. I love a challenge,
- 56:33Speaker 1: but I feel like this is his way of controlling me.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Will I ever be able to please him? Probably not?
- 56:43Speaker 1: But who cares? Are you kidding me right now? Just
- 56:48Speaker 1: you know this guy, it only matters what you think
- 56:52Speaker 1: of you okay, And most importantly, you still have to
- 56:55Speaker 1: be yourself. You still have to love yourself. I do
- 56:58Speaker 1: agree with you. I think he is control. His words
- 57:01Speaker 1: are just full of put downs. You don't need to
- 57:04Speaker 1: be controlled. You need to be appreciated and respected, And
- 57:08Speaker 1: according to you, he only criticizes and complaints to you
- 57:12Speaker 1: and about you. I don't like this guy. I don't
- 57:15Speaker 1: like him for you, and I hate the fact that
- 57:17Speaker 1: you think you need to please him. You don't. You
- 57:21Speaker 1: obviously have things going on for yourself. You must be attractive,
- 57:25Speaker 1: or he wouldn't have gone out of his way to
- 57:28Speaker 1: go out with you in the first place. Remember he
- 57:30Speaker 1: came back down there and asked you for a do over.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I think you're smart. You have to be smart. You're
- 57:35Speaker 1: a business owner. You must have to have somewhat of
- 57:41Speaker 1: a personality because in your business you do have to
- 57:44Speaker 1: deal with the crazy public, you know, So don't let
- 57:47Speaker 1: this guy keep putting you down, treating you this way.
- 57:51Speaker 1: I mean, who does he think he is? Just because he's,
- 57:54Speaker 1: in his words, a very accomplished dentist, that doesn't mean
- 57:58Speaker 1: that he knows how to deal with women. I think
- 58:00Speaker 1: a real man in this case, a gentleman who cares
- 58:03Speaker 1: about you, would be trying to get to know you,
- 58:05Speaker 1: would be supportive of you. This guy, I don't think
- 58:09Speaker 1: he's worth your time. I mean, you may like him,
- 58:12Speaker 1: but can you imagine being in a relationship or a
- 58:15Speaker 1: marriage with him. He's he's not gonna change. Okay. He
- 58:22Speaker 1: is who he is because he doesn't think anything is
- 58:25Speaker 1: wrong with how he is. And so that's where you,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I think, should tell him what you're telling us in
- 58:30Speaker 1: this letter. You know about how he criticizes you and
- 58:33Speaker 1: all that. He's not gonna like it. He's not gonna
- 58:35Speaker 1: expect this from you because you haven't been letting him
- 58:39Speaker 1: know how you feel, and you've been letting him get
- 58:41Speaker 1: away with this. But only you can stop him. So
- 58:44Speaker 1: you know, until you do that, I say, don't go
- 58:46Speaker 1: any further with him. Steve, Wow, you know I thought
- 58:50Speaker 1: this letter wasn't going here, and then the letter with there,
- 58:54Speaker 1: and then the letter turned back around. He's never ever pleased.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I think that's the key to this whole thing. This
- 59:04Speaker 1: thirty four year old woman that owns his hair salon
- 59:06Speaker 1: in a strip mall. You've been hanging out with a
- 59:10Speaker 1: thirty eight year old dentist who works directly above your salon,
- 59:14Speaker 1: and now she needs our advice on how to deal
- 59:16Speaker 1: with him. And she says, point blank, he has never
- 59:20Speaker 1: ever pleased with anything. And the first time we met,
- 59:24Speaker 1: he came down to the salon and told me to
- 59:25Speaker 1: turn my music down. I told him to relax. He
- 59:29Speaker 1: got mad. Then after that he came back downstairs and
- 59:33Speaker 1: asked if he could do a duover. See what happened
- 59:37Speaker 1: was he knew who you were. He went downstairs to complain.
- 59:43Speaker 1: That was just the move to come downstairs. But I
- 59:48Speaker 1: can understand because you got a dentist office upstairs. But
- 59:51Speaker 1: you handled it perfectly. You told him, hey, look just relax,
- 59:55Speaker 1: it's no problem. I can turn it down. So you
- 59:59Speaker 1: did what he needed. And then after that he came
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: back and he found out he was wrong, so he said,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: let me do a due over now. When he was
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: down there, he was assessing he's a man. He looked around.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: He said, okay, she owns the salon. She fine, hold up,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I'm tripping. Let me start this over now. After that,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: when we come back, I'm gonna show you what this
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: whole thing went wrong and how it's gonna stay wrong. Okay, okay,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: all right, sounds good. All right, Steve, hang on. Part
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: two of your response is coming up at twenty three
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter. Subject He's never
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: ever pleased. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject he's never ever pleased? Well thirty
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: four yeall hair salon owner. Obviously a nice looking woman. Attractive,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: we'll well put together in terms of ownership. No, having
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: her life together and everything ownership. Thirty eight year old
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: dentist upstairs, she has the music up. He comes down
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to complain to the music too lives. He tells them
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: to relax, chaves. He turns her music down. He felt
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: bad about it. After assessing her song, how fine she was.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: He bought his ass back down there and said, hey,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: can I get a do over my bad? I came
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: down here wroung. I ain't know he used on her
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: my bad. I thought it was the other. Yeah, And
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: so anyway he came back and so he told me
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: he was very accomplished, and listed all the things he owned,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: and said he is single because he knows what he
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: likes and he won't settle for lesson. No, no, no, no, no, Doc.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: You're thirty eight year old dentist. You're single because there's
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: something wrong with you. You're single because you ain't found
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: nobody to tolerate you yet. Do you know how many
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: good women is looking for good men out here you?
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: And it ain't hard to find a good woman man.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: It's a bunch of them, and once they leave that
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: baggage at the back door, they can be real good.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: But now here you come because you say you single,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: because he knows what he likes and he won't settle
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: for less. This is a setup move. Lady. You were
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: intrigued and you asked him to go see a movie
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: with you. He was displeased with the theater. He said
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: the popcorn was burnt. Okay, so he's a whiner and complainer.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I wore a sun dress and sneakers, and he said
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: he prefers to women where they toes out. I understand that.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I'm there way too though. You got on a sun dress.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I think you should have them toes out. I agree
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: with that one hundred percent, but I'm not gonna tell
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: that to a woman on the first date. We're gonna
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: work on round to that. But right now, I don't
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: have a right to tell you what I want because
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you don't belong to me and I don't belong to you.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: So I can't tell this woman nothing. I got to
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: just deal with it. And he picked me up, and
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: he commented that you live in a transitioning neighborhood, which
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: to me meant that I live in together. Well, a
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: transitioning neighborhood. You know what that is, and so you
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: read it right, But that's where you live. So so
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: a lot of diamonds in the rub. I told him
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I would let his comment slide so we would not argue.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: We still hang out, and he's always complaining. I just
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: told you he was a complainer. He tells me what
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I should do with my hair or what I should
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: wear when we're hanging out. See, you're not telling us
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: that you all have already had sex, see this departure.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: You're not telling us, lady. You keep saying when we
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: hanging out, but you're actually seeing him. And obviously he's
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: a controlling guy and he likes to, you know, implement
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: what he wanted at all times. It regardless us to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: what you want, But the most irritating thing about him
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: is the sex. Here we now we find out this
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: hanging out is sex. Don't get me wrong, he's really
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: good in bed, but he told me that I fall
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: short and pleasing him the way he's used to getting pleased. Yeah,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: and let me tell you something. This ain't the first
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: time he'd said this. This is why he's single, because
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: everybody got to please him. I do my best. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: So you didn't been on debait his whole thing? You
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: remember up top, he says, because I know what I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: like and I won't settle for less that intrigued. You
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: see what I mean? So now what a woman started
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: doing is trying to prove that. Like when a man
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: meets you and he tells you why he broke up
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: with his ex, he's trying to get that from you.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: She didn't do nothing for me, She didn't take care
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: of me, she didn't love me the way I need it.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Now here you go, well, I'm going to love you
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the way you need to. It's a setup move so
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: he can keep getting what he wants. But you haven't
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: told us anything about what he's doing for you. Right,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: He's done nothing for you. You just keep trying to
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: prove yourself as someone to be someone he likes and
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: that he don't have to settle no more. I do
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: my best, but he critiques every sexual encounter and he
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: tells me what I need to work on. I've never
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: been told that I can't please a man. I love
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: a challenge. Oh, now here you go. Now you fin
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to prove him wrong. So now you find the sex
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: are or now you up in here doing some stuff?
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You really you? You you above and beyond. But I
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: feel like this is the way of controlling me. Will
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I ever be able to please him? All right, let's
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: answer this left. No, you will not be able to
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: please him ever, because you know why, because he's a manipulator,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: and men who are manipulators do things to manipulate. So,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: simply put, he always has you trying to prove yourself
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: to him, when he, in turn, does nothing to prove
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: himself to you. He's selfish, he's controlling, he's self centered,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: he's overbearing, he's arrogant. All his accomplishments and where you
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: live and all this here, y'all, he on top of
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: your stove, y'all in the same damn strip mall. If
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you're making all that money, why your ass y'all stands
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: at the strip mall? You ain't even stole front? All right?
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Thank you? Steve comments as today Stubert at Steve Harvey
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: FM on Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Why you at a strip mall? Why your ass ain't
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: in a medical build? Coming up at forty six minutes

- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Bill Russell. That mean no team, no team will have
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the number six in honor of Bill Russell. H that
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: is that's a very huge accomplish before a brother who
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: meant a lot to the NBA. So congratulations to the
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Russell family. Also, UNC, your boy Antonio Brown is back
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: in the news. God dog this boy Antonio Browse. Come on,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: come on, interested in playing for the Cowboys. Tell Jerry
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Jones to call me. Not the way you left Tampa.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: He not. He didn't forgot this whole video. Yeah, I didn't.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: He didn't forgot all of this appen, not the way
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: you left there, not that the part of you throwing
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the end zone, not the running around the stadium in
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: New York. Did a whole flipping end zone. I thought
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: I thought he was the president of don the Sports don't. Yeah,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: he said it. Ain't tell Jerry Chelse to call me,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Jerry Jones to call you. Go. You feel to be
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: playing for one hundred and twelve thousand a year, ain't
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: no fight? Man, must one hundred and twelve thousand a year.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Your ass gonna get paid per route? Random, Yeah, she
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: s per route. That mean in the season, your ass
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: gonna be moving blocking plays don't count. Also, man, my boy,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: prime time, Man, what prime is funny to me? Man
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Dan saying this man Dan said to say, the Hall
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: of Fame is enshrined it now, good players. Man, you
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: saw that. Man then said he want his bust of
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: himself to be put on a hot to being put
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: on a high plane. He don't want to be on
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: the same level as everybody because they're only in the shrine.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Good players. Now, I don't know how they gonna do that,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: But Prime won't hear is to be elevated because he's
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: a Hall of famer. He's not a good player. Don't
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: put me on the same level at the people coming in. Now,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: that's what I know. Man and last man Brittany Grinder's
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: defensive team thousand appeal of conviction for nine years today
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: yesterday in court and Russia. Now here's an interesting thing
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: about that. They're pilling it. We knew they would. But
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: normal time giving for the crime that she committed for
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: other people is five years, with a third of them
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: getting parole. And she may be used as a political
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: pawn right now, yea, everybody that's getting five So what's see?
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: What else happening? All right, junior? Thank you. Coming up next,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: we'll talk about Steve's recent golf trip. Right after this.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve. You know how much we
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: love to hear about your trip and you had a
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: golf trip to Florida because well, but you know, for
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the first time, I went somewhere by myself. What huh,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: no security, what I ain't going no friends. I went
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: by myself, and I'm gonna do it more often because man, yourself,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you like hanging out with I like me. Uh, you know,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I'm really a cool person. Man. Yeah, you know me
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: and me and me and me, we like the same thing, right,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: you know me and you know you don't argue with me. Yeah,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: you know, me and myself will't ever fall out. Myself.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Elf usually like to do the same thing that I
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: like to do. You know, you know I was. I
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: was telling myself the other every morning where I wanted
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: to eat, and myself wanted to go to the same place.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: What you know, then, me, I told, I told myself,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I said myself. He said, yeah, me. I said, I'm
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: gonna have the guy bring me up just a bowl
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: and I'm gonna eat CeAl this morning, myself said Cyril. Man,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: me too. I ain't had seal in a long time.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: So on the way back from Florida. You know, I
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: drove and I just I said, you know what I
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: want myself and myself said what me? And I said,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: I want to stop at five house. So and I
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: stopped and I bought the meat ball and I bought
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the fire engine. Y'all bought both of them so I
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: could make sure I did they taste right, one for
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: yourself and one for your meat. Yeah. Me had the
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: meatball and myself had the fire engine, and everyone's just
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: an incredible moment, man, I said. Man. And then so
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna invite ie h next time we go, because
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I didn't take I just took me and myself. But
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna take me, myself and Eye next time. And
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: because I was pissed off, I said them, they asked
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: me to go, and I said no, and me and
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: myself was just sitting over the aven good ass time
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: because I sometimes I think he the boss, you know,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: And so we didn't want to take Eye ass with
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: us this time because I'd be out the pocket and
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I had a third uh huh yeah, what what did
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: what did you guys talk about it? In the car
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: and the drive man, you know, we was watching Netflix.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: He drove No, I didn't drive. I was ride. Oh
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I got a sprinter, so I was watching Netflix. Uh,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: but it was a grueling ass drive back because my
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: AD wasn't working right in the back room. Ain't for you, Huh.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I was back there rassling, tossing and turning like I
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: was in a bad dream. That so then I had, Oh, yeah,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: it's it's it's made. This last trip, ain't damn my ass.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna care after damn compressor come home or night.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: But I enjoyed myself. Man, I was a lone. Yeah, man,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't play one round the golf. No, no, man,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: I just took lessons. Oh, because it was a golf trip,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: you took lessons? Yeah, I just I gotta I gotta
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: change some things. Man, I don't play enough golf, he said,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: So what do you want to do? I said, I
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: want to change my golf swing? He said why? I said, Well,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: here on the one I got ain't one for damn,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Why would I keep it? Why we keep fixing that one?
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: That one obviously not working. So give me another one
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: something I could do something with. And then you know,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: so that's it. It's hard to change your golf swing.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: You've been golfing as long as me and I've done
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: so many wrong things. Man. When this guy showed me
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: the way you really swing a golf club, I went,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: what really, dog, I said, do this, dude, I understand
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: the sport I'm trying to play. I never knew. So
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: now I have a lot of drills. I got to
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: get myself together. But you know, we'll see. I had
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: a great time though, man. I really enjoyed myself, and
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I suggest to people, if you really want to have
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: a good time, just take me and myself with you.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Don't take I me myself and I I I want this.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I said that, then you have trouble. Just take me
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: and myself and y'all have a good time. All right, Steve,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: thank you. We'll have more show. Yeah, but don't take
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: idle at twenty minutes after you're listening. All right. We
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: don't hear these two often, but here we go. Here's
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: a bad mom story. A worker inside an Ohio convenience
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: store says she saw a six year old boy walk
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: into the store while drinking a bottle of a malt
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: liquor drink. She was shocked an ass a little boy
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: if he knew what he was drinking. He told her, Yep,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: this is me and my mommy's favorite beer. We drink
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: it all the time. What, Junior, I should have had
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: you do that part? Man? Oh yeah, yep, this is
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: me and my mommy's favorite beer. We drink it all
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: the time. Say that, Junior. Yep, just me and my
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: mommy favorite beer. The worker. The worker then called the
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: police and told him to buy whatever he wants. He
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: picked out some candy. The little boy did a package
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: of doughnuts and toothpaste and a bottle of mouthwash. Now,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: when the police arrived, the mom told them it was
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: all an accident and she was allowed to go home
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: with the boy. Later, the police went to the home
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: to check on the boy and found him riding a
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: scooter while drinking another malt liquor drink. This time, the
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: cops arrested the mother and charged her with child in
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: endangering and contributing to the delinquency of a child. So good,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: they only sail malt liquor in two places, the hood
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: and trailer parks. Okay, so give me your thoughts. What
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: was this one? App This sound like ye trailer Paul?
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: This guy trailer Park wrote on it all right, coming
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: up with thirty three minutes after we'll play a round
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: of would you rather? Right after this you're listening to guys,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: it is time now for a round of would you rather?
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Would you rather if you were in this position, use
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: a dating app? Or go on a blind date? Dating
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: app or blind date? Let me do the day now,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I at least see what I'm going to do now. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I go on the blind date of Drake picking him. Hey,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: uncle Steve, I got one for you. Okay, break I
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: track that boy. Don't met Yeah, only if it's Drake
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: that's setting up the blind date? Who? I don't know
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: that out don't know Drake? What? I ain't never met him? Wow? Okay,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I didn't know that. You knew everybody? All right? Would
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: you rather be happy, wealthy? Or healthy? Would you rather
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: but healthy? Wealthy? Them? Free? Gotta pick one? Would you
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: rather be one of one of these? If I'm wealthy,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I'm healthy, I promise you. If you three, I'm gonna
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: take that wealthy Steve. Now I'm gonna take healthy. Huh.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I could work from there. I could work it from there. Yeah,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: you ain't, man, Let me tell you something you're wealthy
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: and you ain't and you ain't healthy. You you give
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: all your money up to be healthy. Huh. I'm gonna
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: go with this healthy. I'm gonna get a shot. Though
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: it's wealthy as beyond rich. I'm gonna get out a shot.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I ain't wealthy and unhealthy now, hell you're talking about
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I got to go with this wealthy going a good one?
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather be on an airplane between
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: two arguing paths and you're in that middle seat between
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: two arguing path passengers, or would you rather sit next
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: to a screaming baby. I'm gonna take that baby, because
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: because at that middle seat something else I can't. I ain't.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I'm one of them licks gonna hit me. I got
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: to get this baby. They're just arguing. No see, but
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you're not gonna be agging cross meeting because all this
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: fitting to stop. I'm gonna gonna take that screaming baby
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: because all this go, all this agging over me gonna
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: result in a fight, all right. Last one, would you
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: rather have unlimited pizza for life or unlimited tacos for life? Oh?
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Unlimited pizza pizza? All right? That's today's brown meat and
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: cheese be real coming up next, it's our last break
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: of the day and at forty nine minutes after some
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey. Right
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: after this, you're listening here, we are guys, our last
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: break of the day. Before we get to your closing Steve,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: we want to say thank you so much to miss
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Pat from the Mispatch Show. Yeah, streaming right now. What
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: a great guest and yeah she comes better than you.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Can't pay for it too, no problem, congratulations. Hey listen,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I have some closing remarks. After spending some time last
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: week with myself, I came away with some great takeaways
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: and it's a it's really really hard, I know, for
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: the average person to take time today's self. It's really
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: really hard for me because I have so many things
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: attached to my life. I have such a huge life
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: and I and I realized it, and I do realize
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: it when I try to set this life down sometimes
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and just give it a rest. Everybody needs a rest,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: everybody needs a break, everybody needs some time today's self.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: But my team did the best they could without bothering
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: me with stuff that was the day to day. They
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: only text me if it was pressing and they had
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: to have a response, and I'm the only one that
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: can give them a response, so they played it. So
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I wasn't bombarded with a lot of stuff last week.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: I was still a lot of request was coming in,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: but not the usual amount. And even though what I'm
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: telling you, I know it's difficult to do. It's difficult
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: to just take some time for yourself, but it's imperative.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: And I discovered that I really have to do it more,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: and I really really have to discover that I have
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: to just do more more things for me. I do
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: so much, and a lot of women can relate to this,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: and a lot of men. You do so much for
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: other people that you look up at the end of
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: the day and you ain't done nothing for yourself. You
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: take care to kids, you take care of the house,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: You take care of your man, You take care of
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: your wife, You take care to kids. You go to work,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: you take care of bills. You come home, you take
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: care of the yard. Something happening with the car, you
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: gotta go see about that. Something happening up at the school,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you gotta go see that. Then, if you got a child,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: it's got some extra curriculum activities. Now you gotta support
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: that because that's your job, because your child can't get
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: that unless you take them that. And it's just it
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: gets to be a lot. But you can't forget about
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: you because without you, this whole thing don't really work.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: So every now and then, I can't tell you how often,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: or I can't tell you how to make it happen,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: but you've got to take some time to get with
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: just yourself. And you know what it does, like, it's
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: sort of refreshing me because you get to reintroduce yourself
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: to yourself. You know, it's kind of good to get
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: to know yourself. Think your thoughts, respond the way you
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: want to respond to respond, Sit where you want to sit,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: look out the window, look out at the water, look
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: out at the park, look out in your backyard, and
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: just have your own thoughts. That is such a cool
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: thing to do. You don't spend a lot of time
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: meditating and praying. You know, I finally took me a
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: long time, but I just learned this a couple of
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: years ago. The difference between meditation and prayer. Prayer is
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: talking to God. Prayer is talking to God, putting in
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: request of God, telling God about your gratitude, your thoughts,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: your dreams, your ambitions, your goals. It's saying thank you, prayers,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: talking to God. But meditating is different. Meditating is listening
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: to God. Get yourself somewhere in the old place and
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: be quiet and ask God and ask his spirit to
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: just talk to you, to calm you, to give you peace,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: to keep you enclosed in the right mind, to just
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: give you, to help you with your decisions, you know,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: to just sit there and listen to what He has
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: to say. Bishop Kenneth Olmer out in Los Angeles taught
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: me one of the most valuable lessons I've ever heard.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: You know how you have people come up to you
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and they may say God told me to tell you this,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: or God told me to tell you that. You've ever
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: heard people come up to you like that. I'm always
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: literally when people come up to me and say, oh,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I'm glad I met you, because God wanted me to
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: tell you this. You know what he told me that
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: rings true. I was asking, I said, man, how do
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you know it's God that's telling you something. Bishop Kenneth
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Olmer said, because God's voice has no sin in it.
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: Because I've heard people say I'm gonna go down there
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: and tell him. The Lord talk to me, and I'm
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: gonna go down there and tell them what's on my mind. God,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: they never told you to go down there and telling
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: people off. God ain't never told you to go down
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: there and show them who the boss is. God don't
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: tell you to go down there and bust out no
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: car window. God. God ain't told you to post something
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: wrong about a person. God ain't never told you the
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: secret revenge. God ain never told you to go down
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: there and show nobody up, embarrass nobody. God's voice has
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: no sin in it. So when people come up to
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: you and they talk to you, and they saying that
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: God told me to tell you this, you know, it's
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: always interesting. Because I talk to God every day. I
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: hardly ever miss a day. So when a person comes
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: up to me and tell me what God told him,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: he didn't even tell me that I would be talking
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: to you today. And now some people do have messages,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: but a lot of them don't, So be conscious of it.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Take some time out for yourself, don't forget to pray, meditate,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: spend some time alone, get to know yourself and remember
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: something about prayer. Prayer works. So don't forget to pray,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't ever be too
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: proud to pray, because prayer, prayer changes things. Okay, those
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: are my closing remarks today. Hey, look, talk to God today, y'all.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: He'd love to hear from you. He's hot for all.
