- 0:00Speaker 1: Today show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all, but.
- 0:09Speaker 2: All at all, So.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Don't given them.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Back A million bus busy.
- 0:22Speaker 5: Oh yeah, listening to.
- 0:26Speaker 6: To I want to joy?
- 0:50Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 0:50Speaker 6: Joy? You turn? You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 7: I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 7: You probably got to turn the mouth, the turn mount
- 1:46Speaker 7: turn the water of.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The mony up. Come come on, you'll think that, Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on, dig me now for it.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Only Steve Harvey got a radio show man instead of
- 2:13Speaker 4: trying to be about the business. To y'all, I'm doing
- 2:17Speaker 4: all I can. But you know what's crazy in the
- 2:21Speaker 4: efforts that I make.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I can do more.
- 2:26Speaker 4: When my father used to tell me something when I
- 2:28Speaker 4: was growing up, he says, son, when you've done your
- 2:33Speaker 4: best and you've done all you can, sit still for
- 2:38Speaker 4: a second and just do a little bit more.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Always remember that, he said.
- 2:44Speaker 4: When you've done the best you can and you can
- 2:47Speaker 4: done all you can think of, he say, sit still
- 2:50Speaker 4: for a minute and do some more. And you know
- 2:53Speaker 4: what I've discovered in my life, always have a little more.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I ain't ever just out out completely. I can't take
- 3:00Speaker 4: another step. There ain't another breath in me, the ain't
- 3:04Speaker 4: another thought I can produce. I'm never completely out, man.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Just take a rest for a minute, man, and then
- 3:13Speaker 4: just do a little bit more. And I can't tell
- 3:16Speaker 4: you how many times that's helped me get over the top.
- 3:21Speaker 4: You know, I was watching a documentary about people climbing
- 3:24Speaker 4: on Mount Everest and how difficult climbing Mount Everest was,
- 3:28Speaker 4: and how they have on the hill something called like
- 3:32Speaker 4: a death zone or a killing zone, where the majority
- 3:35Speaker 4: of people run out of oxygen and they have to
- 3:37Speaker 4: turn back. Well, what's crazy is it's right in view
- 3:43Speaker 4: of the summit. You can actually see the top of
- 3:46Speaker 4: Mount Everest from there, but it's that little bit that's
- 3:51Speaker 4: left that's just most difficult. Now, I forgot all the
- 3:54Speaker 4: reasons why they said most people don't make it from there,
- 3:57Speaker 4: and more people have lost their lives in that area.
- 4:00Speaker 4: I don't know what it is, but the people that
- 4:04Speaker 4: make it to the top of Mount efforts. They all
- 4:08Speaker 4: had to go through that same zone of that same area,
- 4:12Speaker 4: but they had a little bit more that allowed them
- 4:15Speaker 4: to get to the top. You know, a lot of
- 4:18Speaker 4: people have had accidents up there trying that. So I'm
- 4:21Speaker 4: not even really sure if Mount Everest analogy is a
- 4:24Speaker 4: good one. But let's just break it down a little
- 4:27Speaker 4: bit more. Let's just talk about life. There's a poem
- 4:32Speaker 4: I learned back when the host pledging. It's called don't Quit.
- 4:36Speaker 4: It goes like this, If I make a mistake, I'm
- 4:39Speaker 4: just trying to drum it up, So here we go.
- 4:41Speaker 4: It says, when things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
- 4:44Speaker 4: when the road you're trudging seems all uphill, when your
- 4:48Speaker 4: funds are low and your debts are high, when you
- 4:52Speaker 4: want to smile, but you have to sigh when cares
- 4:56Speaker 4: are pressing you down a bit rest if you you must,
- 5:01Speaker 4: But don't quit. For life is queer with his twist
- 5:04Speaker 4: and turns, as every one of us must sometimes learn.
- 5:08Speaker 4: And many a fellow has turned about when he might
- 5:12Speaker 4: have won had he stuck it out. So don't give up.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Though the pace seems slow, you may succeed with another blow.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Often the gold is nearer than it seems to a
- 5:26Speaker 4: faint and a faltering man. And often the struggler has
- 5:30Speaker 4: given up when he might have captured the victor's cup.
- 5:35Speaker 4: And he learns too late when the night came down,
- 5:38Speaker 4: how close he was to the golden crown. Success is
- 5:43Speaker 4: failure turned inside out. It's your silver tin of your
- 5:48Speaker 4: clouds of doubt, and you never can tell how close
- 5:52Speaker 4: you are. It may be nil when it seems afar,
- 5:57Speaker 4: So stick to the fight when you the hardest hit
- 6:01Speaker 4: is when things seem worse.
- 6:04Speaker 1: That you mustn't quit.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I remember it because I had a special method of
- 6:08Speaker 4: helping you remember stuff back then. But I remembered it,
- 6:12Speaker 4: and that poem right there has kept me. You know,
- 6:16Speaker 4: we often talk about scripture and everything, and then I
- 6:19Speaker 4: don't see how I could live without it. But every
- 6:21Speaker 4: now and then, man, somebody has a writing. God puts
- 6:24Speaker 4: a writing on somebody's heart that delivers a message man,
- 6:27Speaker 4: that can help people. I use every motivational tool that
- 6:30Speaker 4: I possibly can to climb this letter of success or
- 6:34Speaker 4: try to be the best father and the best husband
- 6:36Speaker 4: I can be. I've done a lot of changing over
- 6:38Speaker 4: the years, and so have you. But change is necessary
- 6:42Speaker 4: in order to grow. If you don't make changes, folks,
- 6:45Speaker 4: you can't grow. I was a young man on my set.
- 6:49Speaker 4: I kept looking at him in a sharp little young
- 6:51Speaker 4: dude just on my set and he had these dreads
- 6:56Speaker 4: and I mean they was super long, man, they will
- 7:01Speaker 4: well below the middle of his back. I mean it
- 7:03Speaker 4: was just long. And he kept talking to me, and
- 7:05Speaker 4: he kept talking to me and talking to me. So
- 7:08Speaker 4: young man kept talking to me, and I said, hey, man,
- 7:10Speaker 4: you know you do a huge self of favor in
- 7:13Speaker 4: the business you're in. If you got a haircut, you
- 7:16Speaker 4: would do yourself a huge favor.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I said.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Your image is everything, man, I said. He keeps stopping
- 7:20Speaker 4: me in the hallway to try to tell me what
- 7:22Speaker 4: you're doing, what you are, but all I see is
- 7:24Speaker 4: your hair. Now, I keep trying to figure out what
- 7:27Speaker 4: you're doing with all that hair. Man, Now you can
- 7:30Speaker 4: feel how you want to feel. But I'm like an employer.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I employed people. So when I'm walking through the hallway
- 7:37Speaker 4: and I try to think of you traveling with me
- 7:39Speaker 4: and you sitting in a meeting with me, I try
- 7:41Speaker 4: to imagine you and your suit sitting there talking business
- 7:44Speaker 4: with me. And so, just like other employers are, I'm
- 7:47Speaker 4: just having a real story with you. So I said, man,
- 7:50Speaker 4: you ought to consider cutting your hair. He said, Man,
- 7:54Speaker 4: mister hard, I've been growing his hair since I was
- 7:56Speaker 4: a little boy. I said, how old are you now?
- 7:58Speaker 4: He said twenty eight? I said, well, how long you
- 8:01Speaker 4: want to hang on to what you was when you
- 8:03Speaker 4: was a little boy? You know, if you started growing
- 8:06Speaker 4: your hair when you're a teenager. I mean, you're twenty
- 8:08Speaker 4: eight now, what will and? I said, so let me
- 8:10Speaker 4: help you understand something. Let me let me ask you something.
- 8:13Speaker 4: What does it do for you? He said, Man, it's
- 8:16Speaker 4: just who I am. I said, so you your hair?
- 8:21Speaker 4: He said no, no, but it's a part of me.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I said, that part of you that you're hanging on to.
- 8:27Speaker 1: What does it do for you? I just like it? Well, dog,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I like ice cream, but I feed that.
- 8:34Speaker 4: But if I hang on ice cream and eat ice
- 8:35Speaker 4: cream every single day, my body gonna reflect that. What
- 8:40Speaker 4: is it that you hanging on to that you don't
- 8:43Speaker 4: want to let go of? That's prohibiting you from being
- 8:45Speaker 4: what all you can be? See, it's hard to be
- 8:48Speaker 4: what all you can be if you want to keep
- 8:50Speaker 4: being all you was? Don't that make sense to you?
- 8:54Speaker 4: So I can't tell you how many times I've had
- 8:57Speaker 4: to change. Change is necessary to grow. Oh, you can't
- 9:02Speaker 4: be all you can be if you want to keep
- 9:06Speaker 4: hanging on to all you was.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That don't make no sense. How do you go forward?
- 9:13Speaker 4: If you keep going backwards? You can't stay here and
- 9:17Speaker 4: go there? Do you understand that if you want to
- 9:21Speaker 4: go over there, you must remove yourself from right here?
- 9:26Speaker 4: Oh I got right Here is comfortable? I got right
- 9:29Speaker 4: here is safe. But over there's where the shade is.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Over There's where the fruit is. Over there is where
- 9:37Speaker 4: the opportunity is. Over there is where the mountain of
- 9:41Speaker 4: goal is. So why you stuck on here? You got
- 9:46Speaker 4: to leave here to go over there. You can't be
- 9:49Speaker 4: all you can be if you want to stay stuck
- 9:51Speaker 4: on who you was. Change is growth is necessary.
- 9:55Speaker 7: All let's go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, monkey trainers, are the
- 10:10Speaker 4: choke farmers, basketball makers, basket weavers, half color specialists, and
- 10:22Speaker 4: anybody that works at Fort Knox. Let me have your attention,
- 10:28Speaker 4: and anybody's affiliated with anything else. If you got a job,
- 10:32Speaker 4: just listen to this. Ain't you glad you're working? Ain't
- 10:38Speaker 4: you glad that you have the ability to provide the
- 10:42Speaker 4: necessities of life. There are people who don't even have
- 10:48Speaker 4: the necessities. Food, shelter and clothing. You ought to be
- 10:53Speaker 4: grateful for that. Man, I am, I'm in the wont business,
- 10:59Speaker 4: but a lot one of us are in the wont business.
- 11:01Speaker 4: You just never really looked at it like that. If
- 11:03Speaker 4: you have food, shelter and clothing, you have everything you need.
- 11:08Speaker 4: That's what you need. You need food, shelter, clothing, that's
- 11:11Speaker 4: what you need to survive in this world. Those are
- 11:13Speaker 4: your needs. Everybody need love, everybody need a friend. If
- 11:18Speaker 4: you got those things, you got what you need. The
- 11:20Speaker 4: rest of you in the wont business, what else do
- 11:22Speaker 4: you want?
- 11:23Speaker 7: Go to God with it.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Man, I don't know, but guess what I wanted to
- 11:26Speaker 4: see today? And He gave it to me, and he
- 11:29Speaker 4: gave it to you, and we ought to be grateful
- 11:31Speaker 4: for that, because that's a big gift.
- 11:33Speaker 8: Man.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Another chance, another day, another opportunity, that's a big blessing.
- 11:39Speaker 7: Man.
- 11:40Speaker 4: You got to start with that one right there. If
- 11:42Speaker 4: you ain't found nothing to be glad about today is
- 11:44Speaker 4: because you ain't thinking. Open up your mind, see what
- 11:47Speaker 4: God has done, and realize the goodness and grace of
- 11:50Speaker 4: God has.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Always been around you, whether you ask for it or not.

- 12:10Speaker 9: Yeah, unc, you know, I'm grateful to uncle. I'm grateful.
- 12:13Speaker 9: I'm grateful for being in trouble and not even knowing it.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 9: Yeah, I didn't even.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Know that this is possible.
- 12:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oh you're married.
- 12:22Speaker 9: Yeah, oh yeah, I didn't even know. It wasn't even
- 12:24Speaker 9: my fault. I didn't even know. All I know is
- 12:26Speaker 9: my play ain't getting fixed out and she's not talking
- 12:28Speaker 9: to me. I don't even know yet. I had no
- 12:31Speaker 9: idea this could be possible.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Well, can I tell you, sir on the brain? It's
- 12:36Speaker 4: gonna get brought to your attention though, mm hmm yeah
- 12:40Speaker 4: what you did? Go get baught to your attention?
- 12:42Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'm gonna fixing your plate. No, no,
- 12:46Speaker 9: she didn't fix the place. She said that I ate
- 12:48Speaker 9: right in front of me. I'm talking about chewing chewing
- 12:52Speaker 9: chold win.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Well, Junior, let me ask you a question now, because
- 12:57Speaker 4: I ain't in your family. You're been since you do
- 13:00Speaker 4: how you want to do. So that what I'm saying.
- 13:03Speaker 4: But do you expect her to make your plate?
- 13:07Speaker 6: No?
- 13:08Speaker 9: Non expected?
- 13:09Speaker 6: No?
- 13:09Speaker 9: No, no expected that?
- 13:11Speaker 4: So what is the discipline? Oh that's what she been doing?
- 13:14Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, but no, oh, so do you you don't
- 13:19Speaker 4: expect her? Do you assume she's gonna make your plate?
- 13:23Speaker 9: I did last night till I wasn't eating.
- 13:26Speaker 7: I knew that then.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Yeah, Junior, have you thanked her for making your plates?
- 13:32Speaker 4: Everything sounds like man, they sound like you missed the
- 13:35Speaker 4: day to.
- 13:35Speaker 8: Me coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour.
- 13:40Speaker 8: Well here from the nephew, is he runs that prank
- 13:43Speaker 8: back right after this? You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.

- 13:54Speaker 10: after you mop? Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 13:57Speaker 10: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops, Swift for

- 14:05Speaker 10: and hard to reach places like.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Behind the toy litch.
- 14:08Speaker 10: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 14:12Speaker 10: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No
- 14:16Speaker 10: more dirty floors. Try to Swift for power Mop. Love
- 14:19Speaker 10: it or your money back.
- 14:21Speaker 8: All right, it's time now to start your morning off
- 14:23Speaker 8: with the nephew and run that Brenk back what you
- 14:25Speaker 8: got for his nept.

- 14:30Speaker 6: Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a carried Yes, this
- 14:35Speaker 6: is Carried. Hi Carrie. My name is Oliver. Oliver. You
- 14:40Speaker 6: put in an application with the employment agency about looking
- 14:43Speaker 6: for some work as far as being a lifeguard.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I did.
- 14:47Speaker 6: Okay, have you had much experience being a lifeguard?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been doing this for a while now, bexed,
- 14:54Speaker 2: since I was like eighteen I got my CPR certification.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I've had as many as like two hundred people at
- 15:03Speaker 2: one time watching them.
- 15:05Speaker 10: So I'm good.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I'm good at what I do. I love it.
- 15:08Speaker 6: Very good, very good. Well, i'll tell you what I've
- 15:11Speaker 6: looked over your application and I've checked everything out thoroughly,
- 15:14Speaker 6: and I'm very excited about maybe getting you to I
- 15:18Speaker 6: don't know if you're familiar with it, but public pool.
- 15:20Speaker 6: It's actually in subdivision. There's two pools there. Are you
- 15:24Speaker 6: familiar with Yeah.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I'm familiar with it. They're near where I live.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, Well, there's actually in the back of there's
- 15:31Speaker 6: a gated community and that is actually the particular property
- 15:36Speaker 6: that I'm talking about. You coming out and working force
- 15:39Speaker 6: there at the pool site. If we can get you
- 15:42Speaker 6: on Monday to Friday, we're going to actually hire some
- 15:46Speaker 6: more college students for Saturday and Sunday.
- 15:49Speaker 2: What do you say, Oh, I say, okay, that sounds great.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Monday weekends off.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, exactly. Now we start off. Job actually pays
- 15:59Speaker 6: twenty five dollars an hour. Wow. You would be our
- 16:03Speaker 6: head lifeguard and we would want you to be there
- 16:07Speaker 6: from you know. I mean if you start at twelve,
- 16:09Speaker 6: we'd actually like you to get there around eleven thirty,
- 16:12Speaker 6: you know, just to be prepared and be the overseer
- 16:15Speaker 6: and make sure the other lifeguards get there on time,
- 16:18Speaker 6: and you know, we'll go from there.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:20Speaker 6: Now, carry there's only one catch that actually comes along
- 16:23Speaker 6: with this job. We want you to work an additional
- 16:27Speaker 6: four hours from six to ten at night. But it's
- 16:29Speaker 6: going to pay you fifty dollars per hour, so you'll
- 16:32Speaker 6: make an extra two hundred dollars. How do you feel
- 16:34Speaker 6: about that? Man?
- 16:35Speaker 2: I feel good. I mean, with the recession and everything,
- 16:39Speaker 2: I can use that money right now, especially during the summertime.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Okay, now here's the deal. This is in negated community,
- 16:45Speaker 6: like I told you before, but also it's going to
- 16:48Speaker 6: be adults at night and they are actually going to
- 16:51Speaker 6: be swimming nude. What Yeah, they're going to be swimming nude.
- 16:56Speaker 6: And what they asked is if they're going to be
- 16:58Speaker 6: swimming nude, they want to make sure that the lifeguard
- 17:01Speaker 6: that's protecting them is going to be nude as well.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Okay, I'm a certified lifeguard, I'm CPR certified, I'm a student.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I've had other jobs, but nudity wasn't on my.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Resume and I understand that wholeheartedly. But we're talking about
- 17:19Speaker 6: you possibly making seventeen hundred and fifty dollars a week.
- 17:22Speaker 6: How do you feel about seventeen hundred and fifty a
- 17:24Speaker 6: week for your nursing school. I'm sure that'll that'll definitely
- 17:26Speaker 6: pay for it throughout the entire summer. That should be
- 17:29Speaker 6: a big help, shouldn't it? Yeah?
- 17:32Speaker 2: Would?
- 17:33Speaker 6: But I mean, I mean, are are you How do
- 17:36Speaker 6: you feel about trying it for a few weeks and
- 17:38Speaker 6: then you know, how do you feel about that? I
- 17:41Speaker 6: don't know, but I mean you're gonna watch over some
- 17:44Speaker 6: adults who are actually just gonna be nude in the pool,
- 17:47Speaker 6: and you're nude as well up on the big chair
- 17:49Speaker 6: that overwatches everybody. Seventeen fifty I don't seventeen fifty carry.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I don't think I'm going to be able to do that.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Seventeen fifty carry. We're talking about four hours of you
- 18:03Speaker 6: being nude, along with some other people that are already new. So,
- 18:05Speaker 6: I mean, what's the big deal. You know? What we
- 18:07Speaker 6: need you to do is come down. We're gonna do
- 18:09Speaker 6: some drills, some lifeguard drills, and make sure that you're
- 18:12Speaker 6: definitely qualified. But we're gonna make sure that when you
- 18:14Speaker 6: do those, you got to be naked as well. Okay,
- 18:17Speaker 6: why would.
- 18:18Speaker 11: I have to do some drills naked? I'm on a radio, lifeguarded.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Understand all that. But in order we for our particular property,
- 18:28Speaker 6: we got to make sure that you're actually prepared and ready.
- 18:30Speaker 6: You know. Well that's the way it is, carrit We
- 18:34Speaker 6: need you to come down and do some drills. Well,
- 18:37Speaker 6: it's not going to take a long probably about a
- 18:39Speaker 6: half hour. You come down, you get undressed, you get
- 18:41Speaker 6: in the pool, and we make sure that you're qualified
- 18:44Speaker 6: to swim nude to handle to saving somebody's life, nude,
- 18:48Speaker 6: the whole nine yards.
- 18:49Speaker 11: But what I mean, what if my family come to that?
- 18:53Speaker 6: You know, Carrie, you know I can't go back and

- 41:30Speaker 2: Uh?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yesterday we saw you in Marjorie fishing, Junior.
- 41:34Speaker 6: I know you and your.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Family fish, Tommy, you and your mommy fish. What's happening, Steve, Well,
- 41:41Speaker 1: we were just out in the backyard.

- 41:48Speaker 9: We were just out in the back y'all.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Y'all said go on vacation. We ain't going vacation. It

- 42:22Speaker 4: of rod. She want to use my rod, which I
- 42:24Speaker 4: use a bake caster. She ain't ready for that because
- 42:27Speaker 4: now she gonna burd nests all day long. She threw
- 42:30Speaker 4: I told her not to use my rod one time. Well,

- 43:31Speaker 13: when we get down. Yeah, we do crab, you know,
- 43:33Speaker 13: when we do get down that time, because it would

- 43:38Speaker 13: the nixt never got to stop, and getting this, never
- 43:40Speaker 13: got to get baked.

- 44:14Speaker 7: I didn't eat it, But that was the first time.
- 44:16Speaker 7: Let me, catching one was a good experience. Not in

- 45:45Speaker 1: of my absolute favorite things to do.

- 45:52Speaker 7: Oh?
- 45:53Speaker 4: Absolutely, I like fishing more than I like playing golf

- 46:28Speaker 8: that find out what that's all about in just a
- 46:31Speaker 8: few because right now it is time for the Nephew
- 46:34Speaker 8: and today's prank phone called nephew.
- 46:37Speaker 7: Well, cirtain. This right here is for the ladies that
- 46:40Speaker 7: wear these. This is for the eyelashes that's just too
- 46:42Speaker 7: far out there, They just too far. You don't mind lashes, Yeah,
- 46:46Speaker 7: I love lashes, but when they pass your nose, I
- 46:49Speaker 7: mean it's just it's a situation, you know, it's a
- 46:52Speaker 7: lot going on. So this is right here is called

- 47:23Speaker 14: and a half ago. Proud happy black owned, women owned,
- 47:27Speaker 14: woman owned establishment.
- 47:29Speaker 6: What can I do for you?
- 47:30Speaker 7: Okay, here's the dep I'm sick and tired of my
- 47:33Speaker 7: wife coming up there. And then when she get back home,
- 47:36Speaker 7: she got these thick ass eyelashes on and they long
- 47:39Speaker 7: as hell. You know, I mean, it's these eyelashes thicking
- 47:42Speaker 7: on somebody's mustache. It's a shame, you know. Not then
- 47:46Speaker 7: told her to take that hold up.
- 47:49Speaker 14: Brian. Now, I may or may not be the person
- 47:52Speaker 14: doing it, but whoever, I'm pretty sure probably that sounds familiar.
- 47:56Speaker 14: But whoever, we have a lot of customers. But whoever
- 47:58Speaker 14: comes in here, they picked their lashes. We you know,
- 48:01Speaker 14: we collaborate, but the girls are saying what they want done.
- 48:05Speaker 14: They pick it. So if they're thick, they're sick because
- 48:08Speaker 14: they want them thick.
- 48:09Speaker 7: Okay, well these are two They too thick and then
- 48:12Speaker 7: and they too long. Your eyelasses ain't supposed to be
- 48:15Speaker 7: sticking away. I pass your nose. That's a chain. But
- 48:18Speaker 7: let me let me tell you what I'm getting at though.
- 48:20Speaker 7: Here's here's here's my reason for calling. If my wife
- 48:23Speaker 7: come home one more say what n you?
- 48:25Speaker 14: Can you send her down? Because I mean, I'm running
- 48:28Speaker 14: a business here and you sound crazy. They can cheer
- 48:31Speaker 14: you through the phone and the girls. They're looking at
- 48:33Speaker 14: me in the chair. I don't know what's going on.
- 48:36Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 48:36Speaker 14: Can you calm down?
- 48:38Speaker 7: You loud and screaming, and all I'm saying is, if

- 48:46Speaker 7: hell at that place.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I'm telling you the truth about that.
- 48:49Speaker 14: You know, what are you talking about? Why you're threatening me?
- 48:52Speaker 14: You are not coming up here.
- 48:54Speaker 7: I'm coming up there. You if my wife coming home
- 48:56Speaker 7: with them thick as long eye lasses again, I am
- 49:00Speaker 7: not coming up here.
- 49:01Speaker 14: We just opened a year and half ago.
- 49:03Speaker 7: We are doing that.
- 49:04Speaker 14: We don't need no drama for nobody. You need to
- 49:06Speaker 14: talk to your wife. It's your marriage. Don't come down here.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Take it that.
- 49:09Speaker 7: I ain't nothing wrong with my marriage. The only thing
- 49:11Speaker 7: wrong with my marriage is the thinking as I lasted
- 49:14Speaker 7: and they too long.
- 49:15Speaker 14: That's the why are you? Why are you calling me
- 49:18Speaker 14: with this? See now, I'm yes.
- 49:19Speaker 7: Because I'm calling because this is where she got her
- 49:22Speaker 7: eyelashes done.
- 49:23Speaker 14: Oh my god, Oh my god. Then you need to
- 49:26Speaker 14: talk to your wife. Okay, I need to calm down.
- 49:29Speaker 14: I'm running a business here. What you're trying to do
- 49:31Speaker 14: sabotage me what you work for the college?

- 49:40Speaker 7: codes and everything building codes, and I will get you
- 49:43Speaker 7: shut down if we don't stop these long thickets as
- 49:46Speaker 7: I last.
- 49:46Speaker 14: Okay, Brian, I'm from the south Side so much. You
- 49:52Speaker 14: need to back up because now you're threatening my livelihood. Yes,
- 49:55Speaker 14: I'm gonna go there with you. You're threatening in my livelihood,
- 49:58Speaker 14: You're threatening the jobs of so many girls here.
- 50:01Speaker 4: What are you doing?
- 50:02Speaker 14: You need to talk to your wife and you just
- 50:03Speaker 14: back up. And I am sorry to Kurt. We try
- 50:07Speaker 14: to speak class here, but you now you're making me
- 50:09Speaker 14: lash out at from lash out. But you need to
- 50:13Speaker 14: back up. This is my job and people have jobs.
- 50:16Speaker 14: What are you doing threatening to come up here. I
- 50:19Speaker 14: will call the cops on you and you will not
- 50:21Speaker 14: be able to come here and we will not let
- 50:23Speaker 14: you get her her eyelashes on. And you need to
- 50:26Speaker 14: fix your marriage because you got some anger issues. Clearly
- 50:29Speaker 14: you pissed off at your wife and you're calling us
- 50:31Speaker 14: threatening to ruin our business. Ryan, what is your wife's name?
- 50:35Speaker 7: My wife name is My wife name is Jamie? Okay.
- 50:38Speaker 14: Does anybody in here know Jamie or do Jamie's blashes? Okay,

- 50:51Speaker 14: Jamie slashes? But you got some anger issues?
- 50:54Speaker 7: Okay, I ain't got no anger issue. The only problem,
- 50:57Speaker 7: my god, is my wife having some long, thick eyelashes
- 51:00Speaker 7: and they further out than her nose and figuring into
- 51:02Speaker 7: somebody's much stair.
- 51:03Speaker 1: That's what I got a problem with. Okay.

- 56:34Speaker 5: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:35Speaker 8: Subject It's a hard habit to break, Dear Stephen, Shirley
- 56:39Speaker 8: I'm thirty six years old and I married a man
- 56:41Speaker 8: that I've met at work. He's forty four years old
- 56:44Speaker 8: and a very loving husband that is truly in love
- 56:48Speaker 8: with me. I moved to Toronto and he was the
- 56:50Speaker 8: first guy I dated after I settled in. He was
- 56:54Speaker 8: newly divorced and ready to get remarried as soon as possible.
- 56:57Speaker 8: On our first date, he told me that I was
- 57:00Speaker 8: the one and he could see us being married. Two
- 57:03Speaker 8: years later, we had a very small wedding in Toronto
- 57:06Speaker 8: and my family was not able to come. I preferred
- 57:09Speaker 8: it that way because they are toxic and they would
- 57:11Speaker 8: have tried to to talk me out of getting married.
- 57:15Speaker 8: They know about my history with the man back home
- 57:17Speaker 8: that I cannot seem to get out of my system.
- 57:20Speaker 8: They are very opinionated and they think I need to
- 57:23Speaker 8: be with him instead of my husband. The man back
- 57:26Speaker 8: home is my age and we have known each other
- 57:29Speaker 8: since we were ten years old. We never claimed that
- 57:32Speaker 8: we were boyfriend girlfriend, but we have been having sex
- 57:35Speaker 8: with each other since we were seventeen years old. We
- 57:39Speaker 8: would still be having sex to this day if I
- 57:41Speaker 8: hadn't moved so far away from him. He is a
- 57:44Speaker 8: big reason I moved away and started dating the man
- 57:47Speaker 8: I married. The last time we were intimate was two
- 57:50Speaker 8: years ago. I went home from my mom's birthday and
- 57:53Speaker 8: he stayed at my hotel with me. I thought he
- 57:55Speaker 8: was going to tell me not to get married because
- 57:58Speaker 8: he was in love with me, but instead we spent
- 58:00Speaker 8: the entire weekend having sex and ordering room service.
- 58:04Speaker 5: I begged him not to call me anymore after that.
- 58:07Speaker 8: It's been two years and he called me out of
- 58:09Speaker 8: the blue to ask if he could come visit me.
- 58:12Speaker 8: My body is craving him, and I can't help but
- 58:16Speaker 8: hope he's finally come to his senses. I hate to
- 58:19Speaker 8: admit it, but I'd leave my husband for him. Am
- 58:22Speaker 8: I foolish to still want this man? Well, yes, yes
- 58:27Speaker 8: you are. This has been going on way too long,
- 58:30Speaker 8: way too long. This man shows no interest in you
- 58:33Speaker 8: at all other than wanting to have sex with you.
- 58:35Speaker 6: That's it.
- 58:36Speaker 8: I mean, it's clear you want more, but sex is
- 58:39Speaker 8: all you get from him. You say you would lead
- 58:42Speaker 8: your very loving and very in love with you husband
- 58:45Speaker 8: for him, but your childhood friend hasn't asked you to
- 58:48Speaker 8: do that now, has he? He never even claimed you
- 58:51Speaker 8: as his girlfriend as you said in letter, you're his
- 58:55Speaker 8: sex friend.
- 58:55Speaker 5: That's what you are.
- 58:57Speaker 8: You're the person he can go to any place, any time,
- 59:00Speaker 8: whenever he wants sex. Like when you went home for
- 59:03Speaker 8: your mom's thing and he came and stayed in the
- 59:05Speaker 8: hotel with you, all you did was have sex and
- 59:08Speaker 8: room service. You thought he was coming to tell you
- 59:10Speaker 8: not to get married and that he loved you, But nope,
- 59:13Speaker 8: just sex and room service. Did he even offer to
- 59:19Speaker 8: pay for the room? I got to ask that, I mean,
- 59:22Speaker 8: what did he do? I mean, it's clear that he's
- 59:24Speaker 8: just using you for sex at this point, and the
- 59:27Speaker 8: reason you guys are not together is because he doesn't
- 59:30Speaker 8: have to do anything but show up.
- 59:32Speaker 7: That's it.
- 59:33Speaker 8: He does nothing else. And now he wants to come
- 59:35Speaker 8: visit you. You'd think he's coming for more than just sex.
- 59:39Speaker 8: Don't be fooled. It'll be more of the same sex
- 59:42Speaker 8: and room service. He's not going to propose because this
- 59:46Speaker 8: sex relationship you had with this man, your childhood sweetheart,
- 59:49Speaker 8: doesn't require him to marry you, or love you, or
- 59:52Speaker 8: any of the things that you really want. So stop
- 59:54Speaker 8: letting him run your life this way. That's what he's
- 59:57Speaker 8: been doing. As hard as it might be for you.
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: You got to tell him you don't want to see
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: him and to stay where he is. You got to
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: stop allowing him.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: To use you for sex. You gotta let him go.
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: It's way beyond time, Steve.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Great response. Surely interesting letter did Steven Shirley.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: This is a thirty six year old woman and she
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: married a man that she met at work who's forty folk,
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: very loving, wonderful man. She moved to Toronto and it
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: was the first guy that she dated after she settled in.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: You know, he was newly divorced and ready to get
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: remarried as soon as possible. And he told you that
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: on the first date that he could see y'all being married.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: Two years later, y'all had a small wedding. You ain't
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: invite your family because your family's toxic, and they would
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: have tried to talk to you out of getting married
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: because they know your history with a man back home,
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: and I can't seem to get out my system. They
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: are very opinionated people, and they think I need to
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: be with him instead of my husband.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: The man back home is my age. We've known each
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: other since we was ten.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Y'all ain't never been boyfriend and girlfriend, and y'all have
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: had sex with each other since y'all was seventeen. You've
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: been having sex with this man for sixteen years. I'm
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: assuming how old is she? She thirty six? They met
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: at seventeen. We're like nineteen. Yeah, nineteen years you've been
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: having sex with this man. We'd still be having sex
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: to this day if I hadn't moved so far away
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: from him. He's a big reason here we go, now
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: here where the letter needed be starting. He is a
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: big reason I moved away and started dating the man
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: I'm married. This is the reason you moved away so
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: you could get away from him. Now, what is this
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: discussion you haven about getting back with him?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: When you left to.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: Pursue a better life, then God gives you the better life.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Now you want to give the blessing back? Excuse me?
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: So you can just go on and keep getting jamed.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: See you like getting jamed, So now you're just gonna
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: get yourself jammed up when you got a husband now,
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: a very loving man that wants you. See, you don't
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: even know what's good for you. You're so stupid, you
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: know you wanted them people where God got to ruin
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: your plans so you don't ruin your life, because He's
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: done that for me. You know, I can't tell you
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: how many times God has allowed some of my plans
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: to get ruined just so I wouldn't ruin my life.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: So now here you are, it's a hard habit to break. Well, hell,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: that's cause you keep saying to you.
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: Yeah, we'll have part two of your response coming up.
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: Stevid twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: Subject it's a hard habit to break. We'll get back
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. Hey, listeners,
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: A leave has a question for you. Do you remember
- 1:03:12Speaker 8: what it felt like when back pain didn't take over
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: your day? You'd bend, twist, sit, stand without even thinking
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: about it. Well, that feeling didn't go anywhere thanks to
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: a leave. With just one dose, a leave gives you
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: long lasting back pain relief for up to twelve hours,
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: so you can get back to moving the way you
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: used to feel. A leave use as directed for minor
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: aches and pains. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: today's strawberry letter. The subject is it's a hard habit
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: to break.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: This woman right here, the left her city that she's
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: been seeing this boy since they was seventeen.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: She thirty six.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: She leaves the city to go to Toronto so she
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: could find a better life for herself because she realized
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: that she's been having sex with this man nineteen years
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: and it ain't going nowhere. This guy ain't said I
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: love you. This guy ain't never said I want to
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: be with you. He ain't never said we ought to
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: have a family. He ain't never said, hey, we are
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: to get together. He ain't even said you was his girlfriend.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: You just been a little trick chick your whole life,
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: and now you done got addicted to being a trick chick.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: Now you want to keep being a trick chick. Now,
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: God let you move to Toronto and then gave you
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: a loving husband. But now you can't look you looking look,
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: you can't look a gift? Howld horse in the mouth.
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: You've been blessed with a husband that loves you and
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: adores you, but you want to go back to being
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: a trick chick because his sex is just so good
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: you crave in his body. Woman, kill me if that
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: he the best I ever had? Hell, go have something else.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: You know, y'all, I said that before, that's the best
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: I ever had. Now that when he had something else,
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: it was better too. I'm gonna tell you right now
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: you can talk.
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: Here we go.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now you can't top that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: Here'll go.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Okay, here we go. That's what you want. Here, you
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: can top that. I don't care what you had. It's
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: some better ones somewhere. I got new for you. Somebody
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: knows something else you ain't never had before. Gonna have you.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: Sitting up in here, I've had the whites of my
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: eyes showing pupils, and everything was gone, everything disappeared. I've
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: just I've actually looked back at my brain and could
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: see what I was thinking something.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: That's how good it was. And I'm sitting up here
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: talking about that the best I ever had. Then. Guess
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: what mess somebody else? Guess what then?
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: Next?
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: Next thing you know, I was sucking my toe and
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: I ain't I can't even get my foot up there
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: no more. I found myself sucking my toe, that's how
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: good it was. I ain't even know how my foot
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: got up there because the show go don't do that
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: no more.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: But I found myself doing that, and so you know
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: that's the to have ahead.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: No, I ain't go ahead of something else.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: He the best you ever had because you've been getting
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: tricked by this boy since he was seventeen.
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: Now you'd have got this new man gone and had
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: this new.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Man here is the big reason that you moved away
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: in the first place, so you could have a better life.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: The last time we was intimate was two years ago.
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: I went for my mom's birthday. He stayed at my hotel.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: He thought he was gonna tell I thought he was
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: gonna tell you not to get married.
- 1:06:28Speaker 7: Y'all.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: What you thought, Hell no, because he was in love
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: with me. Did he tell you that? Hell no?
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: But instead we spent the entire weekend having sex and
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: auder room service. I begged him not to call me
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: anymore after that. It's been two years, and he called
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: out the blue to ask if he could come visit you.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: What you think you want to do. Let's just take
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: a guess at what he want to do.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Let him hold up. Let me think, Oh, he gonna
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: come and ask you to marry. Oh he come and
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: ask you to leave your husband? Well, well, you think
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: he's coming to ask you to go run away?
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: With him.
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: He ain't done it in nineteen years. He ain't fit
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: to do it now because all he want to do
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: with you is what y'all been doing, That's how. And
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: you ain't never got a title in nineteen years. What
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: makes you think you fin to get this promotion after
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: nineteen years? Let me tell y'all something. If you've been
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: on the job for nineteen years, I can assure you
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: if you look around that office real good, it's been
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: some promotions passed out in the nineteen years. Just yo,
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: it wasn't one of them. Hello, is the message coming home?
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: They are passing out promotions at your job. And if
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: it's nineteen years and you ain't got one of them,
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: you need a new job.
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: That's all it is.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: Okay, Church, My body is craving him and I can't
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: help but hope he finally come to his senses.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: He don't have no sense.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: What you want him to come to. I hate, but
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: I leave my husband for him. And my foolish to
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: still want this man, dumb as hell? You want a
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: man that don't want you? How clear can this picture be?
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: Am I foolish to still want this man?
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Cause the man you won't don't want you. He just
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: want to do you.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: He ain't never said he wanted you. He ain't asked
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: you to be his woman. He ain't asked you to
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: be his girlfriend. He ain't even asked you to be exclusive.
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: He don't care that you're.
- 1:08:42Speaker 9: Up there married now.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: He don't even care. He just want to come and
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: do you. You know what, I hope your husband find
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: out as soon as he get off the plane.
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: That ain't gonna be good that man.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Yeah, how good is it is it that God want
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: you to know?
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: It's some better.
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: War time?
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Steve might be good.
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: It might be the best you've ever had. All that
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: could be true today. But don't mess around to have
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: some mess now. Oh let me tell you. I'm telling
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: you right now, I'm telling you, right now, I've actually
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: bitten the wood out of a headboard.
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: Stop.

- 1:24:29Speaker 8: A leave has a question for you. Do you remember
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: what it felt like when back pain didn't take over
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: your day? You'd bend, twist, sit, stand without even thinking
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: about it. Well, that feeling didn't go anywhere thanks to
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: a lead. With just one dose, a lead gives you
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: long lasting back pain relief for up to twelve hours,
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: so you can get back to moving the way you
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: used to feel. A leave use as directed for minor
- 1:24:57Speaker 8: aches and pains. All right, guys, here we are break
- 1:25:00Speaker 8: of the day on this Thursday. It's been a good day,
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: a fun day. You've got fun today, Steven.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: In closing, I want to share something with you. I
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: have a I'm on a group chat with some brothers
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: I went to school with. Man, it's like thirteen of us.
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: We get together a couple times a year, and it's
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: probably my favorite time of the year because I get
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: to hang out with some guys and some men who
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: knew me before all of this happened to me. And
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: that's really been a great blessing for me. Man, because
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: I'm able to be myself around these men. I don't
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: have to put on no pretenses. They knew me before
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: all of this. They've seen the changes in me, and
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: they see the similarities in me, and they cool with
- 1:25:48Speaker 4: both of them. Because I developed a saying over my life.
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: I was who I was and I am who I am,
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: and I'm cool with both them. People now I say
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: it a little bit more graphic when I'm talking to them,
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: But just for the radio, I was who I was
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: and I am who I am, and I'm cool with
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: both them blanks and you can put that, put that
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: in however you want to. But that's how I said
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: to myself. But we were talking the other day and
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: one of my partners is a pastor, and he sent
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: me this thing called the Seven Rules of Life. And
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: he said, Man, when I listened to your show, Steve,
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: I've heard you say all of these things at one
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: point and time. He said, I just thought i'd send
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: it to you. So for the first time, I have
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: it kind of all like printed out right, the seven
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: rules of Life, and I'm share them with you right
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: now because they're very, very helpful. And the pastor calls
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: him the seven rules of Life, and he sent them
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: to me. Number one, make peace with your past so
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: it won't disturb your present. I think that's so important
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: for people, man, that you stop allowing who you were
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: and stop allowing people to come into your life to
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: remind you of who you were when clearly you've changed
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: and moved on. Stop allowing people to hold you to
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: your past mistakes when God has clearly forgiven you, and
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: move on. Man, I get tired of people talking about me.
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: I don't even worry about that no more.
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: What you did?
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: You left this and you walked out of here, and
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: you did this. You don't even know the story.
- 1:27:27Speaker 4: Rule Number two what other people think of you, and
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: I learned this from Bishop Jenks. Number two, what other
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: people think of you is none of your business. And
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: I've often said that what other people think of you
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: as none of your business, nor should you make it yours.
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: It ain't your business what they think of you, because
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: it don't even matter. You'll be so much happy if
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: you could worry about what other people think of you.
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: Number three.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Time heals almost.
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: Everything, So give it some time. You know people think
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: when something happens to him it's permanent. It's given some time.
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: I had a friend of mine whose wife's mother passed,
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: and he called me. He said, man, because my mom's
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: still living, I know your mom gone. Do you have
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: any advice for my wife? Because she want to give up?
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: And I was going well, first of all, would your
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: mother wants you to give up. With all those of
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: us who have lost our mother, our mother loved us
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: enough where I'm sure our mother would want us to
- 1:28:31Speaker 4: continue and live the best life we could. So you
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: in here talking about giving up because your mama gone.
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: Hold on, man, get his things some time. It's called grief.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: It's hard to deal with, but give it some time
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: because time heals almost everything if you give it time.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Number four.
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: Stop giving people permission to direct your life and determine.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: Who you are that's yours.
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: Bishop Jakes told me one time. He says, it's not
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: your job to make another person happy, nor should you
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: make it yours, because it's a hard job. It's an
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: impossible job. You can't make another person happy. I've tried
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: it before, trust me, you can't. Number five. Don't compare
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: your life to others, and don't judge him because you
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: have no idea what their journey is all about. How
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: many times have you been judged by people about your
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: life when they don't even know the story. Somebody asked
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: me one time, They say, man, you always crying every
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: time I see you crying. You know why I cry
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: when I'm talking about it because I know the fine print.
- 1:29:45Speaker 4: Y'all saw the headlines. I know the fine print. I
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: know the story. I know the story behind it. I
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: know the context that the story was in. I remember
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: all the pain of it. I remember all the wishing
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: that would change, and now that it's changed, sometime it
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: bring tear to my eyes. So don't compare your life
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: to others, and don't judge them because you ain't got
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: no idea what their journey is all about. Number six,
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: Stop thinking too much. It's all right not to know
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: the answer. Do you know how many times you've talked
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: yourself out of something? And the reason you talk yourself
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: out of something because there's an answer you don't have
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: an answer to it, because there's a question or a
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: problem you don't have an answer to, And because you
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: don't have an answer, it freezes you because I don't
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: know how that's gonna turn out, or I don't know
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: how that's gonna be. Man, Stop thinking too much. It's
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: all right not to know the answers. You ain't supposed
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: to know what your future holds. You just supposed to
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: live and have the faith that it's gonna be all right.
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: It's gonna be some problems coming, know that, but you
- 1:30:48Speaker 4: ain't got to sit here and try to figure out
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: what's wrong with tomorrow.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: Last, but not least, the seven rules of life.
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: Smile. Smile you don't own all the problems in the world.
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: Smile because you don't own all the problems in the world.
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: Smile because no matter how bad it's going for you,
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: you better believe it's going way worse for somebody else.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: Smile.
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: Kirk Franklin wrote a song you look so much better
- 1:31:18Speaker 4: when you smile anyway. I know it's hard, but man,
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: those are the seven rules of life. Man, I just
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: want to share it with you. That's been a benefit
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: to me. I've known them all, but to see them
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: all in print in front of me meant a lot
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: to me the other day, so I thought i'd shared
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: with you. Y'all have a great day today. Talk to
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: God that they love to hear from you. Okay, y'all,
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: stay in peace.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: We out.
