- 0:25Speaker 1: The Senate has passed Donald Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill. It
- 0:30Speaker 1: is now one step closer to going to the President's
- 0:34Speaker 1: desk for a signature and still online for a July
- 0:38Speaker 1: fourth signing. So what made it into the bill that
- 0:43Speaker 1: is now headed back to the House from the Senate.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I break it all down for you. But first, right now,
- 0:50Speaker 1: all of us, our help is needed with the people
- 0:53Speaker 1: that are under attack in Israel. We know that Israel
- 0:56Speaker 1: is at war with Iran, a nation that is vowed
- 0:58Speaker 1: to wipe Israel and in the United States of America
- 1:01Speaker 1: off the map. In a necessary act of self defense,
- 1:05Speaker 1: Israel struck Iranian nuclear facilities, military targets, and their top leadership,
- 1:11Speaker 1: and right now, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
- 1:14Speaker 1: is on the ground preparing large scale distributions of life
- 1:17Speaker 1: saving food, first date and emergency kits, especially to Israel's
- 1:22Speaker 1: most vulnerable people, the sick, the elderly, children, and families
- 1:27Speaker 1: that are in great need. The Fellowship is also making
- 1:30Speaker 1: sure that hospitals, emergency rooms, and shelters are fully stocked
- 1:34Speaker 1: with critical and life saving medical supplies. But the Fellowship
- 1:39Speaker 1: needs your most generous gift today to make this work possible.
- 1:44Speaker 1: If you want to stand with the people in Israel
- 1:47Speaker 1: and you want to bless them and support them as
- 1:49Speaker 1: they are under attack, now is your time to stand
- 1:53Speaker 1: with those that are the most vulnerable in Israel. You
- 1:56Speaker 1: can call them and give your donation right now to
- 2:00Speaker 1: have an impact virtually instantly on what's going on. Eight

- 2:21Speaker 1: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Congratulations America. The Senate has passed Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Bill.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Now one final step from President Trump's desk as it
- 2:36Speaker 1: goes back to the House, and President Trump is very
- 2:40Speaker 1: excited about what is happening at the moment. Now, the
- 2:43Speaker 1: Senate passed the Big Beautiful Bill Tuesday after the longest
- 2:47Speaker 1: in history, a twenty seven hour amendment vote rama. It
- 2:52Speaker 1: is a new record, and Vice President JD. Vance casts
- 2:55Speaker 1: a tie breaking vote on final passage, as well as
- 2:59Speaker 1: during a couple of the final amendment votes beforehand. Now,
- 3:04Speaker 1: the bill includes an enormous assembly of Trump campaign promises
- 3:09Speaker 1: on border security, energy, national security issues, spending cuts, and
- 3:15Speaker 1: also massive tax cuts for all Americans. The bill also
- 3:19Speaker 1: includes medicaid reforms and an increase in defense spending, putting
- 3:25Speaker 1: America yet again. First. Now, it did not come easy.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Tensions have been high at times, but we're at the
- 3:33Speaker 1: end now, is how centter Lindsey Graham put it, saying
- 3:36Speaker 1: the Budget Committee chairman that the enthusiasm through bloodshot eyes, well,
- 3:42Speaker 1: it was still there during the final vote series. The
- 3:45Speaker 1: final series of votes also came after an agreement ensuring
- 3:49Speaker 1: that the Majority Leader, John Thune had the votes to
- 3:53Speaker 1: pass the legislation and wrap up amendment votes as well.
- 3:57Speaker 1: But in the spirit of the exercise. Last minute drama
- 4:01Speaker 1: cast the bill's future into real question, as many were
- 4:05Speaker 1: worried if you could buy off a member of the
- 4:09Speaker 1: Senate to get them to switch their vote. Finally, at
- 4:13Speaker 1: ten to twelve am Eastern Standard time, senators were instructed
- 4:18Speaker 1: to make their way to the floor and planned to
- 4:20Speaker 1: be in their seat in fifteen minutes. Over an hour later,
- 4:25Speaker 1: a large group of Senators was still huddling at the diocese,
- 4:29Speaker 1: negotiating with the help of Senate staff, including the Senate Parliamentarian. Eventually,
- 4:37Speaker 1: an agreement was reached and the Senate, very anxious to
- 4:42Speaker 1: end the marathon session, breezed through the final votes. Senators
- 4:47Speaker 1: Tom Tillis and Senator Ran Paul, both Republicans who voted
- 4:51Speaker 1: against proceedings to the bill, voted against the passage as well.
- 4:57Speaker 1: They were joined by liberal Republicans Susan Collins, whose amendment
- 5:02Speaker 1: to raise taxes on billionaires to pay for a fund
- 5:07Speaker 1: for rural hospitals was soundly defeated by the way her
- 5:11Speaker 1: amendment received a quote bipartisan of just twenty two Senators
- 5:16Speaker 1: voting in favor of it. We also had some fireworks
- 5:19Speaker 1: from Senator Lisa Murkowski, you know her as the Republican
- 5:23Speaker 1: from Alaska required a lastman agreement on a Medicaid carve
- 5:28Speaker 1: out for her state after the Senate Parliamentarian rule. The
- 5:32Speaker 1: prior agreement violated the much ballyhooed Bird rule, which governs
- 5:39Speaker 1: what can be included in reconciliation bills. Her withdrawal of
- 5:43Speaker 1: support despite receiving an additional carve out for Alaska on
- 5:47Speaker 1: food stamps threw the bill's passage into real question. So
- 5:53Speaker 1: what happened next? Well, the big beautiful bill now heading,
- 5:57Speaker 1: thank goodness, to the House, where a one full of
- 6:00Speaker 1: moderates have protested the Medicaid reforms and a large block
- 6:05Speaker 1: of spending hawks, mostly consisting of House Freedom Caucus members,
- 6:09Speaker 1: are saying they want more spending cuts in line with
- 6:12Speaker 1: the version of the House bill that was actually sent
- 6:16Speaker 1: to the Senate originally. Now, the first procedural vote is
- 6:20Speaker 1: actually expected for Wednesday morning at nine am Eastern Standard time.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Trump is also mandating that July fourth deadline, and Trump
- 6:30Speaker 1: is likely to lobby, make phone calls, even talk about
- 6:34Speaker 1: primarying people and twisting arms whatever is necessary to secure
- 6:40Speaker 1: his signature legislative achievement. Now you may be asking yourself
- 6:44Speaker 1: what is actually in this bill that has left the Senate.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Let me give you that list because it's an important one.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Number one, this bill delivers the largest tax cut in
- 6:55Speaker 1: history of the United States of America for middle and
- 6:59Speaker 1: working class Americans. Bigger paychecks of ten thousand dollars more
- 7:05Speaker 1: in annual take home pay for families as well. A
- 7:09Speaker 1: massive campaign idea is now reality. No tax on tips,
- 7:15Speaker 1: which will expand middle class America like we've never seen before.
- 7:19Speaker 1: We also are going to reward people that work hard
- 7:23Speaker 1: with no tax on overtime, incentivizing people to work more
- 7:27Speaker 1: to get ahead, and something that should have happened a
- 7:31Speaker 1: long time ago. No tax on Social Security, giving more
- 7:36Speaker 1: security to seniors, especially when cost of living has skyrocketed.
- 7:42Speaker 1: We also have no tax on made and America auto loans.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Let me say that again, no tax on made in
- 7:51Speaker 1: America auto loans, which will help prop up American made
- 7:54Speaker 1: automobiles and incentivize Americans to look at America first. You
- 7:59Speaker 1: will also help with massive amounts of manufacturing jobs, keeping
- 8:03Speaker 1: Americans working in manufacturing. It also protects two million family
- 8:09Speaker 1: farms from punitive double taxation, something that's been a huge
- 8:13Speaker 1: problem in this country. Permanent increases to the child tax credit.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Let me say that again, permanent increases to the child
- 8:23Speaker 1: tax credit, supporting over forty million American families. Also, a
- 8:29Speaker 1: vote against this bill is a vote for the largest
- 8:31Speaker 1: tax increase in history, something that Republicans did a very
- 8:35Speaker 1: good job of selling to the American people. It also
- 8:39Speaker 1: in this bill recentded billions in green news scam funding,
- 8:43Speaker 1: which DOGE and the Trump administration had exposed in the
- 8:48Speaker 1: last several months. It restores fiscal sanity, slashing deficits by
- 8:54Speaker 1: roughly two trillion dollars. Yes, there are many in the
- 8:58Speaker 1: House that want more than that, and we'll have to
- 9:00Speaker 1: see what happens moving forward. We also know that this
- 9:03Speaker 1: bill eliminated waste, fraud, and abuse from the bloated federal
- 9:08Speaker 1: programs that we have now been exposing through DOGE and
- 9:12Speaker 1: permanently securing our southern and northern borders, something the President
- 9:18Speaker 1: said needed to be in this bill. We also know
- 9:22Speaker 1: that this bill deports at least one million illegal aliens
- 9:25Speaker 1: a year. Yes, that is also in the bill, And
- 9:30Speaker 1: it makes the largest investment in border security in an
- 9:34Speaker 1: entire generation, providing nearly one hundred and fifty billion to
- 9:39Speaker 1: secure our border and also to deport illegal aliens, which
- 9:44Speaker 1: the American people voted for. The bill also includes finishing
- 9:48Speaker 1: Phase two of the border wall, something Donald Trump campaigned
- 9:52Speaker 1: on back all the way in twenty sixteen, and it
- 9:56Speaker 1: shifts the cost of adjudication in the immigration se system
- 10:00Speaker 1: from the American taxpayer to the illegal aliens. We also
- 10:05Speaker 1: know that we're hiring it because of this bill, hiring
- 10:09Speaker 1: ten thousand new ICE agents, more than five thousand Customs officers,
- 10:17Speaker 1: and more than three thousand new border patrol agents, yet
- 10:21Speaker 1: again sending a message to the cartels and terrorists that
- 10:25Speaker 1: you don't want to try to sneak in to the
- 10:26Speaker 1: United States of America or ship your drugs into this country,
- 10:31Speaker 1: because we're coming for you. There's also funds for the
- 10:35Speaker 1: Golden Dome Missile Defense System to confront the twenty first
- 10:40Speaker 1: century threats, something the President and the DoD talked about
- 10:44Speaker 1: extensively with the American people. We know that we need
- 10:47Speaker 1: to put America first when it comes to our national security,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and that's exactly why the funds were included in this
- 10:54Speaker 1: bill for the Golden Dome Missile Defense System. We also
- 10:58Speaker 1: know the bill delivers the largest coast guard upgrade since
- 11:02Speaker 1: World War Two. Why are we doing that? Because that's
- 11:05Speaker 1: where the fetinyl is coming into this country and the
- 11:09Speaker 1: criminal cartels are clearly exploiting our open seas. Now we
- 11:13Speaker 1: will have the largest coast guard upgrade that we've had
- 11:17Speaker 1: since World War Two, something that needed to happen decades ago. Finally,
- 11:22Speaker 1: the bill modernized our military to ensure it has the
- 11:26Speaker 1: resources to be ready and encourages a lethal fighting force.
- 11:31Speaker 1: After four years of weakness by the Biden administration, we've
- 11:35Speaker 1: fallen behind China, but ninety longer. It also ends Biden's
- 11:41Speaker 1: war on American energy and drives down energy costs, something
- 11:46Speaker 1: that was important in this bill to make sure that
- 11:48Speaker 1: we as a nation are in fact energy independent, something
- 11:52Speaker 1: that the prior administration did everything they could to make
- 11:55Speaker 1: sure that we were weak as a nation. And it
- 11:59Speaker 1: all j Unleasha's domestic oil, domestic gas, as well as
- 12:04Speaker 1: nuclear power, restoring what made America great all along the
- 12:09Speaker 1: ability to function without relying on Middle Eastern countries or
- 12:13Speaker 1: anyone else that's producing oil around the world, including places
- 12:17Speaker 1: like Russia. So if you want to know what's in
- 12:20Speaker 1: this America, first, this big, this beautiful Bill Well, here's
- 12:26Speaker 1: what's in it Now, it moves back to the House
- 12:29Speaker 1: and hopefully it will be moving within days to the
- 12:32Speaker 1: President's desk for a big celebration signing on July fourth.
