- Mr Normthegreat1: Welcome to Dope Discussions, where faith isn't quiet and truth isn't comfortable. We're having the conversations most people avoid about purpose, pain, leadership, relationships, identity, and the real walk with God. No pretending, no performance, no watered-down gospel, just raw growth, real convictions, and kingdom conversations. And kingdom conversations that challenge you to become who God called you to be. And now here's your host, Norm the Great One. Yo, what up, what up, what up, man? You already know who it is. It's a great one. We back in the building. Yes, Lord, we back in the building. Another day, another opportunity. You know, that's how we start every show by giving thanks to the Most High God for all as many blessings. And one of the biggest blessings of them all, man, to be back in the building one more time, back behind the mic, man. Hope y'all had a good week so far. Hope y'all had a good Memorial Day weekend. So everybody that was off. Hope you took the day off to enjoy yourself or whatever you did. Just hope you took it easy. Or whatever you did, hope you enjoyed it and get ready for the full-day work week. And to those who didn't have it off, man, that sucks. But nevertheless, man, you know, you know, we're here to do get you over the hump and get you to the weekend. But yeah, I was off on Monday and I didn't do much. I didn't do much at all. It was more like a laid-back day, did some school work. clean up around the crib and stuff like that. Didn't do much of anything off. The weather was up and down, rain off and on. So I mean, like I said, I didn't really have no plans to do nothing outside of house much anyway. So I just relaxed and took it easy and, you know, take a day a paid day off with enjoyment. You know what I'm saying? It can't never go wrong with that, man. But like I said, man, you know, whenever you get these days like this, where you could just sit at the crib, chill out, clean up and take it easy. I'm all for it, man. You know, all for it. Yes β yes, sir. Yes, ma'am. I am all for it. Yeah, man, we got a good show line up for you today, man. We gotta some good topics, man. Some that might be a little controversial or whatever, but you know, nevertheless, it is what it is. Let's get this thing cracking, man. I I know down in Myrtle Beach, I'm from South Carolina, so down to Myrtle Beach on Memorial Day weekend, it's always a big thing, man, to have the β Black Pike Week or whatever on I think it's been around for a while. I can't remember the exact timeline, how long it's been around, but it's been a thing and it's supposed to be with the culture or whatever. But as time goes on, man, you just look at it like, yo, what's the point? You know what I'm saying? I'm not hating 'cause I'm not a biker and that's not my lane. And I'm not saying that it should shut down or people shouldn't go enjoy themselves. But my thing is when I look at the whole overall picture, I'm looking at how people carry themselves, like some of the women and the stuff that they're doing, like This video circulating of women doing adult activity stuff, man. You know, I'ma keep it clean and PG as possible on this show, man. It's just like they out there doing some unprof I ain't gonna say unprofessional, but unadult. I mean like adult type stuff, like people recording and in the opening, like it's nothing, man, you know, and it's getting recorded and Putting online like it's nothing. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's no regard, no shame, no nothing. I mean, like, I don't understand like how a person can get online or just be out in the public just doing all type of wild stuff, man. And never I don't know if in the moment they don't think about the ramification of their actions or whatever, but it's like, yo, you're doing this out in the opening and it's posted online. God forbid if you got Kids, β I know you got family or somebody that can see this stuff, man, and they know that's you, and you just out there just doing whatever with a group of people just recording something like that. Houston stuff, all in the cars and wide open. Like, we have no regards for nothing. Like, how you carry yourself, man? How you put yourself out there, that's how you would be perceived. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's kind of sad. Like, how do we get to this place, man? You know what I'm saying? Where And I get it, you had the freaknicks, you had the Daytoners and all these other things. But I mean like I guess that one of the big things is social media wasn't popping and as big as it is now. But now that everybody pull their phone off of everything, but I mean it like recording people doing some of the most wildest things and not only just that, they uploading it to the internet. And if you got any bit of ounce of respect for yourself, man, once the stuff hit the internet, man. It's forever on the internet. You know, people just got this footage of you doing God knows what in all different types of ways and all that. Now you all over these websites and stuff. You can't get mad at nobody but yourself for putting yourself in that situation, man. You know? And I I just don't understand it, man. Like, you can go out there and enjoy yourself, but I mean, like, some of the stuff that people do, like, in the opening, like, is just like. Things that you should be doing like in the privacy of your home, you know what I'm saying? I'm not trying to sound like a β Killjoy or β Grumpy Man, but I'm just saying like it should be a way you carry yourself, man, because the stuff you do, like they say in church, the son the life you live won't speak for you. So I'm saying that's why my motto always is, I don't mind you living how you live, just be cool what come with it. And I think that's where the issue coming at. Like people wanna go out here and do whatever they wanna do, but when it comes back to you, then it's supposed to be a different story. No, no, no, no, no. That's the energy that you put out there. So when it comes back tenfold and all that, you have to be able to have that same energy you had when you was out there doing it. And you know, it's crazy to me, man. It's crazy. Like, and then you got people like around there just recording and amping it on and getting excited by it. Like, my goodness, what's going on, people? What's going on? Not to mention, huh? The people out there half naked, I mean, like I mean it's just crazy. I mean, that's just like β I was in a store, I forgot what day it was, man, and I think it was TJ, one of them stores. I don't even want to call the name 'cause I don't remember what store it was. But it was one of them stores like that. And it was and I see it like kinda often, like women wearing their pants and they got these pants and they shorts so short. Like the I don't I mean, I never been a woman, never claimed to be, but When you in public and the bottom of your butt is hanging out the bottom of your pants. You mean to tell me you don't know that? And I'm talking about you walking department store with kids and older people and you just walking and just like what? What? Then you wonder why people looking at you. The bottom of your butt is hanging out, man. You don't know that? I mean you don't feel like that's something is wrong with that? You think that something is fine? Like I don't get that. You're in a store, a department store at that With kids in here, all type of people in here, man. And the bottom of your butt is hanging out. The bottom of your pants. If you got on shorts and your pocket hang from under your pants and come long, if the pocket longer than the pants, the pants too short. And I don't understand for the life of me. I've never been a woman, I'll say that again. But there's plenty of ways to be sexy and classy without being nasty and just having everything just hanging out. It's nothing for the imagination no more. I mean some of these stuff that people wear when they go out, you just and then just go into the grocery store just anywhere. I mean if you gotta every two seconds you walk, you gotta pull it down. You need to figure something out, man. You know what I'm saying? There's no class or nothing, man. It's just and God forbid the nighttime, you you go out and about somewhere. Everybody coming out there dang their naked, you know what I'm saying? Might as well dang their naked or see through and it's like, when did we get to this place, man? When did we get to this place? Like, you go on some people's social media page, man. You see how they go out, you feel like, what in the world? Like, jeez. Like, what is your goal? Like, what do you what is the message that you're trying to send the world and the people out there like? Cause you're leaving nothing for the imagination. But then the thing that gets me is like when you carry yourself like that, and like I said earlier, then when people start to look at you like that. It i then you wanna get mad and switch the narrative and I shouldn't be looked at like this. Well the perception of what you're giving to people, it makes the people think that that's how you want to be looked at. So if you don't like the response that you're getting, you should change that. But if you don't change that, how can you be mad? You can't be mad because you don't respect yourself enough to dress decency and order, decent in order when you step out. To demand respect from people, but then when you don't get the respect, now you wanna flip it like how that work, man? You decide to walk out your house where you wanna walk. Once again, I'm alright with you living how you live. Just be cool with how just be cool with what comes with it, man. Just be cool with what comes with it. Excuse me. Like I said, everybody just wanna be naked. I think that'll be the next step. Folks be walking around here naked like it's nothing. Like it's no β it's just no conviction no nothing. Everybody just wanna do whatever. You know, it's just nothing. You know, just a free fall. Just do whatever you want to do. You do what you wanna do. You do what you want. You wear what you want. I mean, it's just n no respect or no class or anything. And I know it's not everybody. I'm not gonna sit here and play this funny game and says that is everybody because that's not the story. That's not the story at all. You know what I'm saying? Because just a lot of people that carry yourself with class and dignity and still look nice. And and I and my my hat's off to you. Congrat kudos to you, yo. Kudos to you, you know. But we gotta get back to some some level of class, man. I know somebody say, β he old school, he a party pooper, he grumpy old man, man. People should be able to do what they wanna do. Hey man. And if that's your model, then you're right. Do what you wanna do and just be cool to come with it, man. But you can't sit up here and carry yourself a certain way and you online and you post it up with this here. And you know them to be that type of person, like coming outside, they come outside with lingerie, top on, with with you know what I'm saying? But what kind of what kind of attention that you think you're gonna garner with that? You tell me stuff that you should be wearing in the privacy of your home behind closed doors, you weighing outside, what do you think and what kind of reaction and respect that you think you're gonna garner from that? People gonna look at you like a good time, cause ain't nobody thinking. β she got a good brain. Man, she look like she a a nice, caring young lady. Like she can be this, that, and the third. The devil is a lie. They ain't thinking about nothing like that. All they thinkin' about is what they see and what they finna call. Yo, yo, yo. Squeezy wee. Yo, yo, yo, you know? Them boys looking like they trying to see what's going on. They ain't trying to get to know you. And you can't get mad at that because of the presentation that you put out there. You gotta demand the respect, you know? And that's with anything. That's what any relationship or anything you demand the respect that you deserve or that you put out that you set for yourself. Because at the end of the day, how you allow people, you you teach people how to treat you. So if you done taught people that your value low and you ain't nothing but a good time and you ain't nothing but something to do or whatever to holler at when you know, when ain't nothing else going on, then what do you think gonna happen? How you think that gonna play out? Just tell me how you think that's gonna play out. It ain't gonna end well. Because eventually you're gonna get tired of that. You know, one thing I realized that from talking to people last few months that a lot of people put on shoes that's too big for them and they try to continue to wear it. You remember back in the day when you had some shoes that was a little too big and you know you could have put some paper in the toe. You know I'm talking about some tissue or something in the toe. That's how a lot of people live life that's not for them. You know what I'm saying? They try for whatever reason, peer pressure, friendship or whatever. They try to fit in in stuff that they got no business even being in. And that's how you always get caught up in bad situations and things happen because you're not where you're supposed to be and not doing what you're supposed to be doing. You know? And that's just how the ball bounced. You know what I'm saying? That's how a lot of people be out there just falling the dress crowd and the culture and all that. They're putting them in situations that they shouldn't be in, getting attention that they shouldn't want from people that they shouldn't need it or want it from, you know? But it's gonna cost you, man. It comes with a price. A steep one at that, and if you ain't willing to pay it, it's still gonna cost you. If you're willing to pay it or not, it's still going to cost you, you know? Cause everything outside and everything now is oversexualized. Everything. Everything is oversexualized. If you turn on the TV right now, which I barely watch TV, every commercial is about ED pills, gambling, and sex. That's all it's about, man. That's all you're gonna see. I'm at one time. Like I said, I ain't that old when I used to watch TV growing up in the country. You never used to hear no commercial or nothing about that, you know? Used to have the commercial back in the day, I don't know. They probably figured it was a lot of milk. The Coburn commercial, the milk does the body good and the cartoons and the cereal and stuff, you know? Stuff was like that. Now, man, everything is over sexualized. Everything is oversexualized, man. If it ain't i if it's about if about sex or same sex or something. They push an agenda on everything. They wanna push that agenda to let you know, man, you can go out here and be as wild as you wanna be. Do what you wanna do because they got pills that'll have you non-detected. Man, you be a fool. You non-detected and all this other crap where they tryna push at the man, you ain't never used to see no commercials and stuff like that, promoting all the shenanigans they got going on. You ain't never used to see any crazy commercial like this about how they Promoting β sex and same sex and you can take this and you can do this and this, that, and the third. And you ain't never used to hear none of that stuff that they bring it on TV now, talking so boldly and openly. Because they want to push that agenda, man, because they know that agenda is that when you out there doing all that stuff, man. Yeah, you think you're getting by or you doing this and you're doing that. But them bodies and stuff catch up with you, man. Your body, once you start to be with this person, be with that person, people tend to take on traits, man. People spirit and good at people, we spiritual beings, man. So when you keep mending and bending with different spirits and different beings, you're gonna start taking on something. And one of these good old terms, you're gonna take on something that's gonna stick with you or alternate out to your whole life. All because you wanna be out there having fun and doing what you want to do. You know, one time one thing I learned a long time ago, doing what you wanna do versus doing what you're supposed to do always cost you. Always gonna cost you. It's always gonna cost you because you think you invisible. And once you start to think that you can do what you wanna do, live how you wanna live, or I'm alright on this dust. Right then, something gonna catch up with you. Always does, just like that. Always does, man. It always does. And like I said, man, you know. We live in a times now where everything is the opposite. Everything is backwards, man, you know? You know, one time when I was growing up, like I said, I'm not that old. I grew up in the country, man. You have people that give you tutelage, not that nonsense with the the drunk tree, the drunk folks under the tree give you that bull crap nonsense information that ain't gonna do nothing but lead you to the dead jail or just out there just as drunk or worthless as them because it ain't gonna amount to nothing. Excuse me. keep chasing tail and all that, you're not finna amount to money because you spend most of your life chasing women and stuff that ain't gonna amount to nothing. So I'm talking about you get that good tutelage and get around some good people that give you good solid advice about how to carry yourself as a young man or the young woman and how to navigate yourself through the waters of this world and how to, you know, stuff like that. β people to tell you, I like how you're moving, man. I like, I see how you're changing up, man. I appreciate you know, You know, people that pat you on the back, they encourage you to be better, not to go the route they wanna learn from their mistakes and different things. You don't have that no more, you know? You really don't have that. And far and few, you know what I'm saying? Because most people these days, they don't wanna hear nothing you got to say. They don't wanna talk. They don't wanna hear nothing. They don't wanna hear n I expect there's some c constructive criticism. Heck no, they don't wanna hear that. Everybody wanna hear how great they are. How they got it together. How they on the right line? Howdy on pace. Nobody wanna hear nothing that you're gonna disturb the status quo. Are you kidding me? They don't wanna hear that. You know you can have a conversation with somebody flowing for hours and hours. You wanna change that conversation, shut it down? Give them some constructive criticism. I'll ask, I'll start speaking about them, I ask them about them, man, forget about it. That's the quickest way to quiet down the conversation. Cause most people comfortable talking about somebody else. Until they become the other person. You know? Yeah, what's going What do you mean it was going to me? β nut, man. Everything all right, man. I ain't got no troubles. I mean, hey, hey, everything good. And that's one thing I learned. One thing about people, man. No matter race, color, age, or whatever. We image conscious, man. We image conscious and we people are hard to tell the truth because they want you to believe that they're better off than they really are. I don't know where that mindset comes from. But then on the flip side, everybody hollering about keeping it real. Keeping it real. But how real is it? How real is it? Because the minute you ask somebody something, man, you sure you're good, this, that, and the third, man, yeah, yeah, everything love this, that, there. Then you start like, dang, dog, I just talked to them. Why they just ain't say it, whatever the case may be. Like everybody wanna go through this stuff, and I get it. Ain't your job to tell everybody your business or whatever the case may be. But at the end of the day, you gotta have somebody in your circle that you can talk to and confine them. You know what I'm saying? without, you know, your business getting back around the world and everything. Cause there's some people like that like to hear what you got to say and go out there and broadcast and talk your business or whatever. But you gotta have at least one person you can find you can find and like you can have that conversation and knowing that, you know, that they ain't gonna get back out or, you know, not gonna cast judgment like that. Or you can be vulnerable, but you gotta have that one person, man. Cause oftentimes people keep stuff in, that's when it tends to t get the best of you because You don't have nobody to talk to. And once you keep all that stuff in, it's gonna come out, man. One way or the other, you know? And that's just what. That's just what it is. Like I always say, I tell people to journal and do certain things, but still, but at the end of the day, you still have to find a productive way to deal with some of the things and be open and be vulnerable. You know what I'm saying? Because being hauled up all the time and not knowing how to be vulnerable, it still can get you in a bad situation, man. It still can get you in a bad situation. And I get it. It ain't much people these days you know that you really can sit down and talk to and be vulnerable, vulnerable with without them throwing it back in your face or judging you or looking down on you, wherever the case may be. I get it. But you gotta have at least one person. You got to. Yeah, I know we all can talk to God and we can pray, trust me. That's one of the best answers above. That's that's that's that's the best answer on the test. Absolutely. That's one of the best answers on the test. That's matter of fact, you can just pray to God and ask God to send you somebody that you can confine in that that y'all can have them conversation and work things out like that. Because it's always good to have that person, man. Because you don't know, man, so many people go through life carrying so much weight, man. And and and and it and it tends to come out in different ways, man. Because they don't know how to get rid of that weight, man. And I ain't talking about going to the gym or walking or eating, right? I'm talking about that mental weight that weigh you down, man. I've been there, man, to have that weight on you, man, that you're just carrying. And sometimes, man, we're so stubborn and hardheaded that we want to keep that weight, man, because we don't want to be vulnerable. Like I said before, we don't want to be vulnerable. So We'll carry that weight around just to make everybody think, I don't care what you think of me, man. I don't wanna sit around and say I'm good and I ain't good. I wanna be good. If I say I'm good, I wanna be good, man. And ain't no such thing as a perfect life. But I wanna be good if I said I'm good. One thing I hate, man, when you walking around here saying everything good, but your whole world upside down. And I know what people gonna say that speaking into existence and all this other stuff. But man, at the end of the day, man, you can speak into existing all you want. But at the end of the day, man, faith without work is dead. Faith without work is dead. That's just what it is. You can call it what you want. But if you're not putting in the work, you can have the faith and all that stuff there. But if you're not making the steps, or what are you doing? It's ignited. You know what I'm saying? And that's just where it comes in at. You have to start the process. You have to do the work. You can't just sit there and say, β well, I don't have something because God don't want me to have it. I just waiting on God. No, God waiting on you. You know, people like those tell you, β I'm just waiting, I'm just trusting and waiting on God. Well in the meantime, in the tween time, what you doing? You just sitting around twiddling your thumbs? Yeah. I'm just waiting on God, cause if God wants me to have it, God'll see me through. Man. Once again, faith without work is dead. So at the end of the day, you're not doing anything to start anything. You just sitting around waiting. Hoping and wishing, like a wishing, well, he just wishing. And don't give it a twisted. I will never tell you, excuse me, God is not able. God is able to do things abundantly. But from my belief and from my studying, you got i it's more than that to it. And like I said, then again, as some folks, favor ain't fair. It's not. Blessings ain't fair, you know? Cause I see a lot of people talk like that, like, β this goddamn and on it is always me, this, that, and that. Favor ain't fair, the Bible tell you all the time. It ran with just as well as the unjust. So, you know, some things you got out of that you probably should've got in trouble for, or something went noticed, you got a slap on the wrist for something that you probably should have got, whatever. So I mean, you can't sit there and think that every time you get a slap on the wrist or something gonna work out different for you. Hey man, sometimes it's just your time. Sometime it's just your time. But some people don't believe that. They believe this shoulda get off they should get off every time, you know. They done forget The 150 times or 40 or 50 times that they did get a or did get a little slap on the wrist or get this happen, that one time they want to go crazy about it. Hey man, favor ain't fair. Favor ain't fair at all. And for everybody who's trying to find their way or think that this, that, and the third, it don't work like that. I'll be the first to tell you. It don't work like that. It rained on the just just as well as the unjust. So all that I'm a good. person and I do good and this, that, and the third. You can do all the good you want to do. A lot of times in life, good stuff happened to bad people all the time. Good stuff happened to bad people all the time. And you know, β I was talking to somebody about that the other day, man, you know, yeah, I mean, yeah, you're supposed to do good, live a certain way, and carry yourself and help people in this, that, and the third. But here's the deal with that. That don't exempt you from life events and things happening. You know, that's not how that works. And besides, if that's the reason why you're doing good things because and being a good person because you believe if you do good and this, that, and the third, none, that's not even how that works. You're wasting your time. You're wasting your time. Cause if you're supposed to do something, do it from your heart. Do it from your heart and not doing it for expecting something. Because if you're doing that to expect something, you're already wrong. You're already wrong. You're wrong is two left shoes, man. So at the end of the day if you do something from your heart, man, let me tell you how it works. If you do something from your heart, man, you beat on did something, forget about it, and keep it moving. β you be done lend somebody some money or something, and you just kind of it is what it is. You did it from the heart, keep it moving. I'd have people walk up to me and give me money like you had lend me some money or whenever, whenever. And I'm just paying you back. And I just be like, β okay. And then looking at me like you don't even remember. I'll be like, man, I don't even remember, be honest with you, bro. You don't need for me to sit here and lie, you know what I'm saying? Like, because I don't do things for likes or clicks or to say I did XYZ because if I did it, that's not genuine, man. You know what I'm saying? That's not from the heart. That's not helping somebody in in in good faith, man. I just doing something to pat myself on the back that yeah, yeah, yeah. I did this, man, you know what I'm saying? Because You know, if it ain't moved for me, they went, man, that ain't doing nothing from your heart or you ain't helping nobody. You just trying to β touch your ego and amp yourself up. That's all you trying to do. That's all you doing. You ain't doing no more than nobody else. You just doing something to pat yourself on the back. Cause you just selfish like that. You think everybody everything revolves around you. That's why some people don't like getting help or explaining stuff to nobody. Because people want to do things so they get the glory out of it instead of let God get the glory. They want to pat themselves on the back. β well, if it ain't been for me, blah dah, dah dah da, blah they skipping this down the thing. Like, yeah, that's wild, man. Is you gonna help somebody, help them or not, then get out of the way. And if you help somebody, you shouldn't have to remind them or every time you see them, that's the topic of the conversation. Yeah, man, you remember when you all when you da-da-da-da-da, man, you know. Remember, if it ain't been for me, man, you know, if it ain't been for me, man. Like nobody wanna hear that? Nobody wanna hear that. If you did something in good faith, and every time somebody turned around you talking about it, then what did you do it for? What was your real reason of doing it? I sure wanna know. You have no real reason for doing what you did. None. But at the end of the day, you ain't care. A lot of people don't care. They wanna they wanna be celebrated. They wanna be celebrated. It's about them. They wanna be celebrated. Pat they self on the back. Yeah. Cause you know if it ain't been for me, you ain't know where you would have been. Yeah, people like that I don't want no dealings with, man. I don't want no deals no dealings with no self-centered people like that, man. I'm good. I'd rather do without. But like I say, man, you know, I was my my prayer and I hope and pray that people always get to a place to where they β can have at least one good person in their life that they can confine in, man. You know what I'm saying? And I think a lot of people need that, man, because The way the world is today, a lot of people are walking around. I talk to a lot of people, man. And a lot of people are walking around carrying a lot of stuff, man. And I always used to wonder why everybody's so angry. Or everybody got this going on. Man, folks are tired. They're carrying around a lot of stuff, man. So you don't know who you're playing with or who you're bumping up against. People are on edge. They are carrying a lot of stuff. And that's why I truly believe a lot of stuff are happening because people are carrying a lot of stuff that they never unpacked, never made peace with. And none of them things, man. And they just carry them things. Man, if you don't handle them things, it will handle you. That's why I tell people all the time, it's imperative, man. Stuff that you dealt with, it's imperative that you get it handled. Take the time, invest in yourself. Invest in yourself, man. You don't have to have to rush and get it done. Invest in yourself. Take your time. Make some progress, man. Because it depends on where you are in life. A lot of people got a lot of stuff to unpack, man. So it depends on where you are in life. Take it step by step, man. Take it step by step and give yourself grace, man. Give yourself some grace, man. I realize that a lot of people are so hard on themselves, man. Give yourself grace. Forgive yourself. Forgive yourself, man. Because I know a lot of people, they're so hard on themselves, like, yo, forgive yourself. You got to. And free yourself from some of them stuff, man. You can't change the past. The past is what it is. You can't change it. I can't change it. Time don't go back, it goes forward. Whatever happened then. I'm not saying but I'm not saying that you settle and be comfortable and at peace the things that happened to you. But what I'm saying is acknowledge what happened to you. Yes, that happened to me, but I am not what I've been through. I am not what happened to me. And that shouldn't, you should not allow that to stop your life from moving forward. Whatever it is, whatever it is, man. You bigger than what happened to you. It didn't kill you, it didn't take you out. You got a story, you got a testimony. Some other people had less than that. And that not here. Took it out just like that. But you were here for a reason. Whatever that reason is, I don't know. But you were here because what took others out, you survived. And some of y'all, you survive it multiple times. So what are that telling you, man? Get serious about your life, man. Get serious about your life. Think about it. You've been through things that took most people out. Just like that. Think about that for a second. Cause most people, they got things that They did in places that they've been, whatever things they did, places they've been with people who they ain't supposed to be with, that they'll never speak on, they carry to their grave. And that stuff eating them up, eating them up every day. A lot of people got so much guilt and shame and stuff that they carrying around, man, that if they just can free themselves and unpack some of that stuff, man, they would be alright. But they don't unpack it. They don't unpack. And I get it, some people say. They don't know how to, but like I said, people can look up everything. They can find everything they want to, except when it's time to do something that's important. You can bebop and waste time, and you can look this up and you can look that up. You can pray and ask God for discernment and direction to help you. Cause the Bible says, all that labor and a heavy burden, come to me, I'll give you rest. So God said, if you come to him, that's it right there. God said come to him. That's it. Seek first the kingdom and all his righteous. And all the stuff be added to you. Like I said before, you seek God, man. I'm telling you. You may be going to man and expect man to do things that God's supposed to do. And like I said, now God has answered. Don't get it twisted. Ain't no way around it. But what I am saying is, it'll be good to have somebody you can confine in. You know? Ask God to bless you with somebody that you can confine with. Somebody you can talk to, somebody you can be vulnerable with. Because God'll bring people to you and bring people in your life, allow you to meet people, to do certain things. But at the same time, you have to do the work and be ready. Cause I see that oftentimes we pray for stuff or we want things that we're not prepared for. Like I say all the time, I thank God for the unanswered prayers. Because delay don't mean denial. But I thank God looking back at a lot of situations that a lot of things that I prayed for. I probably would have messed it up and wasn't even ready to receive it. So oftentimes, man, you gotta be mindful when you go to God praying and asking for things. Cause one of my other quotes I used to always say, are you qualified for what you're asking for? Or do you have room for what God can do in your life? You can't, you can't have room for what God can do in your life. You still got all this junk piled up and stuff that you ain't dealing with. You gotta clear the deck. Excuse me. You gotta clear the deck and you gotta make room. Everybody can go make space for the newness that God's gonna bring into your life. You gotta give God room to work. You don't wanna put God in the box and give God this little bit of room here. God says, You pour your blessing, you ain't got room to receive. So right then and there, you already know you ain't got room to receive it, so you want some clear the deck. So God show up and show out, man. Hey, spread it out. You know what I'm saying? Overflow, you know. But you want to give them some room to work with. That's all I'm saying, man. You gotta give God some room to be God. And once you give it to God, leave it there. Don't go back like how somebody cooking and they got and took that β chicken or that meat out of the oven and put it on the stove or something, or they got that pot going and you done ran up in there and up that foil up that foil off that pan or take that pot that top off that pot and get you a little fork or something, you jugging in there and get you a piece of meat or something. Nah, nah, nah, nah. Once God get a hold of give it once you give it to God and you got that foil paper on the top or you got that lid on that pot, just leave it right there till it's cooked. Let it go. God's he got it. Once God got it, he ain't like man, he gonna lead you, he gonna see you through it. But you gotta trust him. You got to trust him. You gotta trust him. God said, trust, he'll see you through, man. All that stuff that you've been through ain't in vain. Ain't in vain at all. I thank God, man. Sounds crazy, but I thank God for the things I've been through, man. Because if I didn't go through a lot of the things that I've been through, I probably wouldn't have been here talking to you guys right now. And you guys hear me, mean, you know? So a lot of things happen for a reason, man. And I I don't never sit down and pray and ask God. β I don't never ask God to remove it, nothing. I ask God to give me the strength to go through it because I know there's something that I'm probably supposed to learn or see through. through this process and I always trust the process. Give me the strength to go through it. Don't remove the mountain. Give me the strength to climb the mountain or go around or whatever the case may be. Cause I wanna see what I need to see. I need to go through what I need to go through. Cause I'm gonna grow through it. Grow through whatever I gotta go through because I know better's on the other side. And you gotta believe that, man. I believe a lot of people don't get out of this circumstance because they can't see themselves out. If you don't see yourself free, you never be free. We gotta see it. And if you don't see yourself free or better than where you are, there's a good chance you're not gonna do it because you don't see it. It's hard to emulate something you don't see or never saw. Even in a dream or something, or whatever the case may be, you just wanna see yourself doing better. And once you get that glimpse of you doing better, that's what you want for yourself. That's what you want. Now the only thing is how to connect the dots from one place to the next. Because that's just what it is. How'd I get from here to there? Trust God. That's why I tell everybody it's imperative that you have that relationship. It ain't never too late, man. You gotta have that relationship. You got to. It's imperative that you have that relationship, man. And I ain't talking about that little nonsense, little boobly-booby quick relationship here and there, like a little sneaky link or something to do when you ain't got nothing else to know. That should be your first response. Go to God first, go to him first. He'll see you through. I'm telling you, man, trust me. Because he can use me. He sure can use anybody, you know what I'm saying? And like I say, you're never too far gone. People might throw you away, but God ain't throw you away, man. God ain't throw you away at all, man. God's still a gentleman. He ain't gonna force himself on you, like I always say. He's still waiting on you to come to him. And when you make that decision, man, that's one of the best decisions that you'll ever make in your life. I promise you that, man. Because once you get That relationship and that steady relationship, you can feel some relief off you, man. You start to feel better. You start to get a new walk, a new talk, renew your mind and renew your heart and start doing the work. It can happen to you, man. You just gotta believe it. You gotta see it. And once you do that, you'll be alright. But you gotta believe it and see it, man. Better days are coming, man. I'll tell people all that. This racing for the swift, man, for those who endure to the end, man. And I think that's one of the biggest things with us as human, man. We won't have to suffer. Sometimes you gotta suffer, man. Sometimes you're gonna go through. It gonna look like, man, this thing ain't never getting no better, man. I'm always seeing like I got something going on or whatever the case may be. But guess what, man? When he comes with victory in his hand, man, he comes with victory in his hand. Because what God is gonna bring into your life is gonna cost more than that. So you have to go through so something, something. But they say after, after you suffered a while now. After you done suffered a while. Hmm. And when your time to come out, you're gonna come out with power. You're gonna come up renewed. You're gonna come out different. But you coming out. And when you come out, you're gonna look back and say, all that I've been through, boy, I'm grateful. I'm grateful. I can look back at my life and see everything that I've been through to get me here. And I give all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise to God. And I thank God for bringing me through. Because God'll put you in situations to where you He you know it's nobody but Him that could have bring you through. Nobody, not your mama, not your daddy, your pastor, nobody that's your sister, your brother. Only God can bring you through that. And you sometimes you sit back and think about life and you like, ain't no way, man. Only God could have bring me through that. Ain't no way no regular human could have bring me out of that. I couldn't bring myself out of certain situations. But God can. But you gotta trust him. The spirit and truth. Everything you do, trust him. I don't care what it is, trust him. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Take it there. God'll see you through, man. I promise you. Like I always say trial. I don't care what the world says. I'm telling you what the word say. And that's the truth. That's the one thing that gonna keep you. And that's the only thing that's gonna matter. All the other stuff ain't gonna do nothing for you. I'm telling you I know. You can sit around and believe what you want or say what you want, but I'm telling you, only what you do for Christ gonna last. A lot of the stuff will fade away. But what you do for Christ, it will last. Like I said, trust, trust him. If you don't do nothing else, trust God. He'll see you through. He will see you through, family. But like I said, man, I appreciate all the love and the support, man. You know, I really do. I'm grateful for the opportunity to just be out here every week. God willing just to give him message and stuff, encouraging somebody, man. I hope this touched somebody in need that's going through that at a place that they feel like they're losing hope or they had a place that they feel they don't know where to turn, man. I hope you find God. He'll see you through. You don't try everything else. He should have been the first, but hey, I assure you, he'll see you through. Like I said, I appreciate the love and the support, man. I see the numbers. I thank you. Share this with somebody. I don't know who it's for, but it hit somebody that need to hit, man. I said I thank you. Peace and blessings to you all. If God willing, man. Same time, same place next week. Peace. We're out of here. Thanks for listening to this episode of Dope Discussions.
