- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and the coves not good at listening
- 0:24Speaker 1: to mother Sta don't join jo. You gotta use turn
- 1:05Speaker 1: hur you go, you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you haven't got the turnout? Then turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your tha uh huh.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will a good morning everybody. Y'all listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now wanting only Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Um. Five things that I
- 2:14Speaker 1: know successful people have to do to be successful. The
- 2:18Speaker 1: principles are the same. You can apply it to anything,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you know, if you want to be happily married, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: whatever it is. The principles of success are the same.
- 2:28Speaker 1: There are a series of things that you have to do.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You cannot skip the steps of success. If you do,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you're going to have to go back and step on
- 2:35Speaker 1: them anyway. So here's here's here's here's a part man
- 2:41Speaker 1: that I want you all to understand about me and
- 2:44Speaker 1: and and about how to look at it. You know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you cannot underestimate faith and prayer. You just can't. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: cannot underestimate the power of faith and the power of prayer.
- 3:08Speaker 1: See for me, this is just for me. Now, this
- 3:11Speaker 1: ain't in the scripture nowhere. This is just something I discovered.
- 3:14Speaker 1: What prayer did for me was was it tied me
- 3:18Speaker 1: to my creator. It gave me a sense and I'm
- 3:25Speaker 1: describing it this way, but I'm telling you it's deeper
- 3:28Speaker 1: than this. But it gave me a sense that I
- 3:31Speaker 1: wasn't alone and an actuality. I wasn't. But prayer helped
- 3:38Speaker 1: connect me to the power source that was available to
- 3:42Speaker 1: me to get through, get around, or get over whatever
- 3:50Speaker 1: it was that was in a way, whether it was
- 3:53Speaker 1: just a period I stretched, I had to go through
- 3:55Speaker 1: hard work. It had a period I had to go
- 3:58Speaker 1: through to learn some lessons, some periods I had to
- 4:02Speaker 1: go through from having to pay for some of the
- 4:04Speaker 1: mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be, prayer gave
- 4:09Speaker 1: me a decided advantage, especially oh here we go, Especially
- 4:18Speaker 1: over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in my
- 4:23Speaker 1: life that were my enemies, I didn't want them to
- 4:25Speaker 1: be my enemies, Make no mistake about this. But through
- 4:30Speaker 1: the thing called life, some things went down, Some things
- 4:33Speaker 1: happened from here and then went over here or that way,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and a person became my enemy. The majority of enemies
- 4:41Speaker 1: I had came out of nowhere. I have no reason
- 4:45Speaker 1: to even see why they are my enemies. But you know,
- 4:49Speaker 1: life goes on, man. It happens from time to time.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Some people just won't let it go. See some people,
- 4:56Speaker 1: in their quest to do something to you or to
- 5:00Speaker 1: make you pay, they just won't let it go. What
- 5:04Speaker 1: it may cause you some discomfort, and some of them
- 5:06Speaker 1: may be lies about you and all of this and
- 5:09Speaker 1: all of that, but you that that can't prohibit you
- 5:12Speaker 1: from going forward. So what I'm saying his prayer gave
- 5:17Speaker 1: me the strength, wisdom understanding the carriage to either go
- 5:20Speaker 1: through it, go around it, or go over it. But
- 5:26Speaker 1: it happened. I do not know how I could have
- 5:31Speaker 1: made it. Without faith and without prayer. It would have
- 5:36Speaker 1: something would have got me. You two would have got me.
- 5:42Speaker 1: The bloggers would have got me. My partners that I
- 5:48Speaker 1: grew up with, that we used to laugh behind my back.
- 5:51Speaker 1: They would have got me. My friend that would over
- 5:55Speaker 1: my mother's house one time and told her. You know
- 5:57Speaker 1: what Steve's problem is that telling them jokes? He just lazy.
- 6:01Speaker 1: He don't want to work. That would have got me.
- 6:06Speaker 1: They didn't know. I ain't really mad at them because
- 6:09Speaker 1: they were just All they was doing was basing their
- 6:13Speaker 1: conversations and passing judgment based on what they knew, based
- 6:17Speaker 1: on what they believed. They didn't believe I was gonna
- 6:21Speaker 1: make it. But that's them though. If it was not
- 6:26Speaker 1: for the faith, which is the belief in things that
- 6:28Speaker 1: you cannot see, I wouldn't have made it because I
- 6:32Speaker 1: would have listened to everybody else who didn't see me
- 6:36Speaker 1: getting here and went along with it. And then prayer.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, man, how many times has prayer bailed
- 6:44Speaker 1: me out? Prayer has bailed me out, press steel, belling
- 6:49Speaker 1: me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet as its kelt. Prayer,
- 6:57Speaker 1: that connection to your heavenly Father, that connection to your creator,
- 7:02Speaker 1: that connection to that source of power and inspiration, that
- 7:06Speaker 1: connection of never feeling that you're alone. You know. I
- 7:09Speaker 1: was watching a Bishop Jakes on the TV yesterday and
- 7:12Speaker 1: it was a repeat and one of the things he
- 7:16Speaker 1: was talking about, well, let me just get to the
- 7:20Speaker 1: gist of it. I was going through a portion of
- 7:25Speaker 1: my life and I and I went through it for
- 7:28Speaker 1: some years, y'all. I had gotten myself into a jam
- 7:31Speaker 1: that lasted for years. I'm telling you, for years, with
- 7:37Speaker 1: some serious consequences to follow. For years. And I was
- 7:45Speaker 1: so busy looking at who I was at. I was
- 7:51Speaker 1: sulking sometimes, Man, I'd get on the radio, Man, I'd
- 7:55Speaker 1: be just done. I was sulking. My my spirit had
- 8:02Speaker 1: gotten low. I had gotten tired of the fight, and
- 8:06Speaker 1: I would I would come on some mornings, man, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: I will try try not to let on, but I
- 8:11Speaker 1: was hurting. I was because I had been in it
- 8:12Speaker 1: for years. Man, I had been in this thing for years,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and one thing I was doing. I was so busy
- 8:20Speaker 1: looking at where I was at. And when I was
- 8:23Speaker 1: watching Bishop Jakes, he preached this sermon. He was talking
- 8:28Speaker 1: about so busy looking at where you at that you
- 8:37Speaker 1: don't even realize that God has been with you the
- 8:44Speaker 1: entire time. And you know what, Man, just yesterday, just yesterday,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I heard this, and I text him a text, Bishop Jakes,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and I thanked him because it was an old message
- 8:57Speaker 1: I could tell. And I called a text up and
- 9:00Speaker 1: I said, Man, thank you so much. I was just
- 9:02Speaker 1: watching you on TV and you told me, Man, something
- 9:06Speaker 1: that I that I'll always remember that whatever you're going through,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that he's there with you the whole time. But see
- 9:14Speaker 1: when sometimes when you're so busy looking at where you at,
- 9:16Speaker 1: you don't even notice where he is. And see sometimes, man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: that that helped me, and that's going to help me
- 9:23Speaker 1: in the future to realize that what I'm going through,
- 9:26Speaker 1: that he's there. He's there with me, and he gonna
- 9:29Speaker 1: protect me, and he ain't gonna let my enemies overcome me,
- 9:32Speaker 1: and he ain't gonna let nobody overtake me, and he
- 9:34Speaker 1: ain't gonna let me go under because he's there. It's
- 9:38Speaker 1: just you can't be so busy looking at where you
- 9:40Speaker 1: at that you don't take notice or where he at.
- 9:42Speaker 1: God is always there, He's always available, and the best
- 9:45Speaker 1: way to tap into that and know it is you
- 9:48Speaker 1: got to pray. Prayer has changed my life. Prayer can
- 9:52Speaker 1: change your life. You can become something if you just pray.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show, Ladies and gentlemen, let me have it,

- 16:14Speaker 1: in and tell my house and I've been with I
- 16:18Speaker 1: don't need you. You think you just gonna be We're
- 16:21Speaker 1: just gonna be teachers in kreen. You got me. I'm
- 16:23Speaker 1: telling you that you come to my house's going down
- 16:26Speaker 1: and that just then she needs to be a woman.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Why don't she bring it to me? Why she didn't
- 16:30Speaker 1: bring it to me? You know what I'm saying? What what? What?
- 16:34Speaker 1: Y'all want to be together? Now? On? She ain't no more?
- 16:38Speaker 1: All I know is she was feeling me. That's all
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm saying. She was feeling me. You know she's telling me.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I mean, dude, you have a problem with her league,
- 16:48Speaker 1: because that's her choice. You know what I'm saying. If
- 16:50Speaker 1: she claims she want to be with me, that's what
- 16:52Speaker 1: she won't. You know, I ain't knocking what nobody do
- 16:55Speaker 1: you understand? But what I'm trying to tell you, she's
- 16:57Speaker 1: telling me she want to be with me. So I'm
- 16:59Speaker 1: just trying to get you to lift Is it better
- 17:01Speaker 1: for me or her to go over there while you
- 17:03Speaker 1: ain't there, ain't get our stuff dog all this, then
- 17:07Speaker 1: you saying nah, I don't, I ain't got the rational
- 17:10Speaker 1: lot some thing with you. She needs to be the
- 17:12Speaker 1: one telling me all it is and saying she can't
- 17:15Speaker 1: do it. And you man, you man, you know that
- 17:18Speaker 1: what you call from man and man, come get up.
- 17:21Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. Come here, Hey, hey, Samantha, Samantha
- 17:24Speaker 1: for real, Hey say man, hey, hey hey man, my
- 17:27Speaker 1: name is Sam. Man. I ain't gonna tell you that.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Already told you that when you call. When you first called, okay, Sam,
- 17:33Speaker 1: so listen, okay, wait you know what. I ain't even
- 17:36Speaker 1: gonna go back and forward. You then shows me I'm
- 17:39Speaker 1: gonna come get up. Hey, all this you talking, you're
- 17:44Speaker 1: still on this phone with all that y'all jacking. If
- 17:47Speaker 1: you're gonna come get up, I hadn't invited you. So
- 17:50Speaker 1: if you want to bring your so over, you come
- 17:53Speaker 1: get it. Tom Aiden two old, I've go up two
- 17:57Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, but I'll tell you this too. It
- 18:00Speaker 1: them black them two down. They don't want to me
- 18:03Speaker 1: no more. They don't want to walk with me no more.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And like I said, telling something with you. She ought
- 18:08Speaker 1: to be woman enough when she's behind the back in
- 18:10Speaker 1: the background telling you to come tell me from since
- 18:14Speaker 1: that's the man I'm gonna and you came because you're
- 18:18Speaker 1: acting like a too, I'm gonna plap. So what for? Okay,
- 18:21Speaker 1: well look here, let me go say this to you.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Then can I can I tell you what she called me? Man?
- 18:26Speaker 1: You tell me you want to tell me? Really don't
- 18:28Speaker 1: know what she told you? But what what's up? I
- 18:31Speaker 1: just want to tell you she told me to prank
- 18:33Speaker 1: phone call you. This is Nephew Thomas Steve Harvey Morning Show,

- 20:07Speaker 1: How do you know that quickly? Yeah? How do you
- 20:09Speaker 1: know that? How do you know? You know? It's the
- 20:11Speaker 1: first impression. You know some people that you have to
- 20:14Speaker 1: have a good first impression on people again, you know,
- 20:17Speaker 1: if you clammed up and not used to talk, and
- 20:19Speaker 1: they're gonna be like, I don't know about him, I
- 20:21Speaker 1: don't know about it up. And guess what when that
- 20:23Speaker 1: starts adding up, you're gone. But you know what's coming.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It's bad that you don't even get to show your
- 20:29Speaker 1: second outfit. That's that's just really bad. You know what's
- 20:33Speaker 1: bad to what's bad is when somebody then took off,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you know, then took a lead from their job for
- 20:40Speaker 1: a few for a month or two. You back already.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I was ready to learn. All right, we'll be back

- 20:59Speaker 1: it's time for something funny. Now you put this together.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Driving I thought it might be cool that we salute
- 21:04Speaker 1: different types of workers. I mean a lot of workers
- 21:07Speaker 1: listen to the show. Cafeteria workers, doctors putetitious. So today
- 21:12Speaker 1: we're gonna salute the people who work to drive through
- 21:16Speaker 1: and then stuff they hear okay any day alright, for instance,
- 21:22Speaker 1: let's go No need to cuss, sir, Breakfast is over, okay?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Why because it's two o'clock, Sir, wouldn't sa anymore, Junior.
- 21:42Speaker 1: This is something that live drive through workers go through.
- 21:45Speaker 1: That they have day every day, every day, every day. Sir,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you're gonna have to get that muffler fixed, so I
- 21:51Speaker 1: can hear you. I can't get this all in if
- 21:55Speaker 1: you don't get the muffler fixed. That's every one, sir.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I cannot tell you two nuggets by themselves. We sell
- 22:08Speaker 1: them in ten twelve. Come on now, I can't just
- 22:11Speaker 1: get you two nuggets. I can't do that, man, Sir,
- 22:19Speaker 1: did you read your order on the screen. It's we're

- 32:08Speaker 1: thank you everybody, This is a trip with the news. Okay,
- 32:11Speaker 1: good news at least hopeful. Police in Beverly Hill say
- 32:14Speaker 1: they've arrested a suspect and the murder of fame music
- 32:16Speaker 1: producer Clarence Avon's wife, Jacqueline. He's identified as a twenty
- 32:20Speaker 1: nine year old Paroli from Los Angeles named Ariel Mayner,
- 32:23Speaker 1: whom they say has an extensive record. Authorities say they
- 32:26Speaker 1: have numerous videos showing Mayner's car exiting the area near
- 32:30Speaker 1: the Avon house around the time that the eighty one
- 32:33Speaker 1: year old Miss Savad was fatally shot. Police also say
- 32:36Speaker 1: they've recovered a gun, which, according to initial reports, appears
- 32:39Speaker 1: to be linked to the murderer. Nevertheless, Beverly Hills cops
- 32:42Speaker 1: repeat right now, anyway, Ariel Mainer is merely a suspect
- 32:45Speaker 1: at this point. He is, though under arrest. Health officials
- 32:49Speaker 1: documented the first case of the omicron variant in the
- 32:51Speaker 1: US and San Francisco on Wednesday, and then it was
- 32:54Speaker 1: another one in Michigan and a third one in Colorado.
- 32:57Speaker 1: There's now one in Hawaii, but there are now I've
- 33:00Speaker 1: confirmed omicron cases in New York State. But President Biden's
- 33:03Speaker 1: reminding the American people that the path to protection should
- 33:06Speaker 1: be well known by Now you're worried about olmacron variant.
- 33:10Speaker 1: The best thing to do is get fully vaccinated and
- 33:13Speaker 1: then get your booster shop. Get your child vaccinated at
- 33:16Speaker 1: one of the thirty five thousand locations in the country,
- 33:19Speaker 1: including doctor's offices, pharmacies, children's hospitals, and nine thousand pop
- 33:25Speaker 1: up clinics at schools. Vaccinating our children is also critical
- 33:29Speaker 1: to keeping our schools open. Additionally, we're increasing the availability
- 33:32Speaker 1: of new medications recommended by real doctors. Not conspiracy serious,
- 33:38Speaker 1: but to recap. Mister Biden says, get vaccinated, get the booster,
- 33:41Speaker 1: and wear your mask. The city of Saint Petersburg, Florida,
- 33:44Speaker 1: canceling the inaugural ball that was planned for its very
- 33:47Speaker 1: first black mayor, Ken Welsh, because he says, I'm not going.
- 33:50Speaker 1: The theme is to be a circus, which many black
- 33:53Speaker 1: residents of the once segregated city, including the mayor Elecque,
- 33:55Speaker 1: find offensive. Arizona State University says acquitted Kenosha was Kilica
- 34:00Speaker 1: Rittenhouse not an enrolled student there. They say Rittenhouse was
- 34:04Speaker 1: apparently taking some online classes at ASU as a non
- 34:07Speaker 1: degree seeking student. He recently expressed though a desire to
- 34:10Speaker 1: study on campus, but when students heard about it, there
- 34:12Speaker 1: are several online protests against Rittenhouse, launched by ASU students
- 34:17Speaker 1: and other groups, demanding that the university removed the young
- 34:19Speaker 1: vigilante from any ASU classes. And finally, looks like black
- 34:28Speaker 1: women are making history. Five black women crown the winners
- 34:31Speaker 1: of some of the world's most fastigious beauty padgets now
- 34:35Speaker 1: including Miss Team USA, Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Earth,
- 34:39Speaker 1: and Miss World. This is the first time in history
- 34:41Speaker 1: that this has happened. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 34:43Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to show, all right, A lot

- 35:00Speaker 1: fifty percent say they've been overwhelmed with work, the volume
- 35:03Speaker 1: of work they have, the hours that they have to
- 35:05Speaker 1: put in. Some of the other reasons for work related
- 35:08Speaker 1: sleep loss include a strange coworker relationships, wow. Uh worried

- 45:06Speaker 1: what it is. Man is mister Rogers came in for
- 45:09Speaker 1: h to take a few tests, and he took some
- 45:11Speaker 1: tests and we actually have the result in and we'd
- 45:13Speaker 1: actually really like for him to come back. I don't
- 45:15Speaker 1: know anything about I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you,
- 45:17Speaker 1: but I don't know anything about any tests. He hasn't
- 45:19Speaker 1: told me anything about going to a clinic or anything
- 45:22Speaker 1: like that. I see, So what kind of test are
- 45:24Speaker 1: you talking about? Well, I mean, I'm not I'm really
- 45:27Speaker 1: not at liberty to give you any kind of information
- 45:29Speaker 1: unless you're actually on the paperwork. So I'm you know,
- 45:32Speaker 1: it's not even something that I can discuss unless the
- 45:33Speaker 1: patient has signed off that you are the next of
- 45:36Speaker 1: ken or the person that can we can actually give
- 45:39Speaker 1: information to you do you? I do, and I'm pretty
- 45:43Speaker 1: certain I mean the way we operate in this household.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I'm pretty certain that that I'm on the paperwork. So
- 45:49Speaker 1: would you please we pull up roger stuff on computer
- 45:53Speaker 1: here and I'll see what I give me one second,
- 45:55Speaker 1: please sure, Okay, okay, let's see now, let me scroll
- 45:59Speaker 1: down for next of ken. Okay, I got a Janis.
- 46:04Speaker 1: That is me. I mean everybody called me jam but
- 46:06Speaker 1: that's me Janie. Wow. Okay, tell me your name again.
- 46:10Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what's your name again? Mark? Mark? Like I said,
- 46:12Speaker 1: I'm the clerk here at doctor Robert's office. I guess
- 46:16Speaker 1: I am at liberty to tell you what's going on.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Please do mister Roger came in and took some STD
- 46:22Speaker 1: test STD yes, and I guess at this point I
- 46:26Speaker 1: should just maybe both of you guys would come in
- 46:29Speaker 1: and wait a minute with everybody, and everybody wait a minute. Mind,
- 46:32Speaker 1: no no, no, no, no no no, I need you
- 46:35Speaker 1: to finish what you were just saying. Well, that's what
- 46:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. Man. What has happened is he's been diagnosed
- 46:39Speaker 1: with UM as well as you gotta be kidding me.
- 46:45Speaker 1: You have got to be kidding me, okay, I'm not
- 46:48Speaker 1: hearing this. Do you understand what that means? Do you
- 46:53Speaker 1: understand that he lives in my household? Do you understand
- 46:56Speaker 1: that that means that he has been dipping somewhere else?
- 46:59Speaker 1: Because I have been not doing anything that would even
- 47:03Speaker 1: come close to bringing something to him like that. So
- 47:05Speaker 1: it's how apparent that this man has been outside of
- 47:08Speaker 1: my household and doing when he has no business doing
- 47:11Speaker 1: and bring it back in. Man, I'm not at liberty
- 47:14Speaker 1: to make any accusations like that. I cannot say anything
- 47:17Speaker 1: like that. All I can say is I'd like for
- 47:19Speaker 1: both of you. You know, it'd be good for both
- 47:20Speaker 1: of you guys to come in and because one tell
- 47:22Speaker 1: you about this is something treatable, it is curable. I
- 47:26Speaker 1: don't care about it being treatable or curable. What I
- 47:29Speaker 1: care about is the fact that he apparently has been
- 47:32Speaker 1: somewhere with some trick and brought something back home to
- 47:35Speaker 1: my household. That's what I care about. I do understand that,
- 47:39Speaker 1: mister Jannis, I do, but you have to understand my
- 47:42Speaker 1: position and what I'm trying to do. I'm just trying
- 47:44Speaker 1: to reaching out and well, listen, you happen to call
- 47:46Speaker 1: my household. You just have to be on the end,
- 47:49Speaker 1: on the other side of it. I am sorry you're
- 47:51Speaker 1: getting most of it, but I tell you what what
- 47:53Speaker 1: you need to do is you need to make him
- 47:55Speaker 1: an appointment and I will meet him there. He will
- 47:57Speaker 1: be wait wait, wait, wait, wait a minute, wait a minute.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I'm sorry. You need to make him an appointment to
- 48:03Speaker 1: come out to take a look at these results you're
- 48:05Speaker 1: talking about and guests who will show up at the
- 48:07Speaker 1: door before he gets there. Me, that's I think kid.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Wouldn't better for you just missing to tell him what's
- 48:14Speaker 1: going on. Since I'm you know, this is the plan
- 48:17Speaker 1: you need to give him. You need to give him
- 48:20Speaker 1: a call and give you a cell phone number. Yes, okay,
- 48:24Speaker 1: I got it. Okay, you call him and set a
- 48:28Speaker 1: twelve new an appointment to trust me when I tell you,
- 48:31Speaker 1: when he walked through that door and see my face,
- 48:33Speaker 1: he will know. Okay, okay, missus mischares. I'm not trying
- 48:36Speaker 1: to create chaos to let mister Roger know that we
- 48:42Speaker 1: need him to come actually into the building. Could give
- 48:45Speaker 1: two about a call. All I know is you make
- 48:49Speaker 1: that appointment. I will get there before he gets there,
- 48:52Speaker 1: and his own I'm telling you that's how it's gonna roll.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Do you understand me, miss missus, misses, I can't allow
- 48:59Speaker 1: any chaos to be going on in the building. I
- 49:01Speaker 1: cannot allow that. Let me know you're creative. Let me
- 49:04Speaker 1: tell you something I don't care. I could care less
- 49:07Speaker 1: about what you feel about it and what you can
- 49:09Speaker 1: and can't. All I'm telling you is you call what
- 49:14Speaker 1: I call looking for mister Rogers, you called his stud
- 49:18Speaker 1: to be white. Correction correction stud to not be white. Okay,
- 49:25Speaker 1: I got one more thing I do need to tell you, though,
- 49:26Speaker 1: mister you know what I can't deal with another thing.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I swear to God, don't tell me anything out, but
- 49:31Speaker 1: I do have a wiper. Make your appointment. That's all
- 49:35Speaker 1: I care about. You. Make your appointment, make your point.
- 49:37Speaker 1: But I need you to ask for somebody when you
- 49:39Speaker 1: come to the clinic. I need you to ask for
- 49:41Speaker 1: one person and then they will take care of you.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Who who I need to ask for us? Okay, you
- 49:46Speaker 1: need to ask for nephew. Tell me from the Steve
- 49:48Speaker 1: Harby Morning Show, because that's who I am. You just
- 49:51Speaker 1: got branked by your husband, Roger. You know what me?
- 50:00Speaker 1: Tell me? Let me tell me. I listened to you
- 50:03Speaker 1: everyone know. Oh my goodness, I am so embarrassed. And
- 50:08Speaker 1: wait till I see right all right? Oh my gosh,
- 50:14Speaker 1: I am, I am. Oh, I'm done. I can't believe
- 50:18Speaker 1: you me. I got. I got one more thing I
- 50:20Speaker 1: got asked. Okay, what is the baddest that? I mean,
- 50:24Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land, the one I
- 50:27Speaker 1: wake up to every morning, the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Come on, uh, come on, come on, get a practice.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Did you do that? Oh? I felt her pain? What isis? Women?
- 50:51Speaker 1: Be funny? Disease though wouldn't be really funny. Oh my god,
- 51:01Speaker 1: good one man, Thank you man, thank you. I wove
- 51:08Speaker 1: my heart about the prank. I guess that's why they
- 51:15Speaker 1: call you the King of pranks. No, he's the king, damn,
- 51:22Speaker 1: And I am rising to be the pranktice. I ain't
- 51:25Speaker 1: rising to be the king of grits. You hit me,
- 51:28Speaker 1: just good grits. G R I t Z. I'm getting

- 52:48Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the strawberry
- 52:51Speaker 1: let us subjects. If you don't get yo Mama. That's
- 52:54Speaker 1: what it says in the title. If you don't get
- 52:56Speaker 1: yo Mama, I will Dear Steveson, Dear Stephen Shirley. I
- 53:02Speaker 1: have found the man of my dreams and we've been
- 53:04Speaker 1: together for five years. We have one child together, and
- 53:07Speaker 1: I'm pregnant with our second child. Our relationship is great,
- 53:11Speaker 1: but my boyfriend's mother is a huge problem, and I'm
- 53:15Speaker 1: fed up with her inserting herself into every aspect of
- 53:19Speaker 1: our lives. She comments and how we parent, our finances,
- 53:23Speaker 1: my decorating style, how I cook, and my housekeeping skills. Recently,
- 53:29Speaker 1: our child was sick and she caused a big scene
- 53:31Speaker 1: in the hospital, saying that it was my fault for
- 53:33Speaker 1: not taking better care of her grandchild. My child is young,
- 53:37Speaker 1: and she constantly critiques him, which makes him not like
- 53:40Speaker 1: her very much. Last week, she told me that she
- 53:43Speaker 1: hopes the new baby is not a brat like my toddler.
- 53:46Speaker 1: My boyfriend seems to overlook her insults when she goes
- 53:49Speaker 1: in on him, but it's hard for me to hear
- 53:52Speaker 1: her telling him that he's a sorry excuse for a man.
- 53:54Speaker 1: I have told her that her behavior is unacceptable, and
- 53:58Speaker 1: she said that she's just having us much needed advice
- 54:01Speaker 1: and constructive criticism because we're young and don't know anything.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. We are in our early thirties and we
- 54:08Speaker 1: can take care of ourselves. I'm starting to think that
- 54:11Speaker 1: she might be right about my boyfriend being sorry because
- 54:14Speaker 1: he won't talk to her about her foul mouth and
- 54:17Speaker 1: bad attitude. I have told him that she is no
- 54:20Speaker 1: longer welcome in our home and that I do not
- 54:22Speaker 1: want her to have a relationship with our new baby.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I don't need this stress during the last trimester of
- 54:28Speaker 1: my pregnancy. How can I get this man to step
- 54:30Speaker 1: up and get his mom in check? Please advise? All right,
- 54:33Speaker 1: first of all, let me tell you this. Not welcoming
- 54:35Speaker 1: her in your home and not wanting her to have
- 54:38Speaker 1: a relationship with the new baby, that's kind of hearts. Okay, Now,
- 54:42Speaker 1: is your boyfriend and mama's boy. I have to say
- 54:44Speaker 1: yes to that. I have to say also that you're right.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Your man should be checking his mom in a respectful way.
- 54:49Speaker 1: She is too messy, she is too involved in your relationship.
- 54:53Speaker 1: She's too petty. She does need to get her some business.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I'm in agreement with all of that, But unless he
- 54:58Speaker 1: says something to her, she's not gonna She's not gonna
- 55:01Speaker 1: pull up. You've already said something. But you're right, you
- 55:06Speaker 1: don't need this kind of stress in your last try
- 55:08Speaker 1: trimester of your pregnancy. But but how dare she though?
- 55:11Speaker 1: I mean, what's what's all this disrespect? Has this been
- 55:15Speaker 1: going on for the entire five years? I can't believe
- 55:18Speaker 1: you guys have allowed it to go on for so long.
- 55:21Speaker 1: And I'm gonna ask you this. Do you think it
- 55:23Speaker 1: has anything to do with the fact that you guys
- 55:26Speaker 1: aren't married five years, two kids later, that's a lot. Maybe,
- 55:32Speaker 1: you know, she might be messy and all of that,
- 55:34Speaker 1: you know, with her ways and everything, but she might
- 55:36Speaker 1: also be old school and she wants you to to
- 55:38Speaker 1: stop having children and making you know, making babies and
- 55:41Speaker 1: all this and go ahead and tie the knot. You know.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Maybe that's where this is really coming from. Just something
- 55:47Speaker 1: to think about there, Steve. The mama is out of love, yeah,
- 55:52Speaker 1: and period. It sain't got nothing to do really with
- 55:57Speaker 1: the boy or the girl. The mama is way out
- 56:00Speaker 1: of line. Now. With that being said, whose job is
- 56:04Speaker 1: it to check her the sun? But surely hid it.
- 56:08Speaker 1: This a mama's boy now, and we got a little problem,
- 56:11Speaker 1: but I got news for it. He doesn't even have
- 56:13Speaker 1: to be a mama's boy, because it's not that he's
- 56:16Speaker 1: over there all the time. It's that she interjects herself
- 56:20Speaker 1: into y'all's every aspect of your life. And you just
- 56:23Speaker 1: won't get him to say nothing. The dude that don't
- 56:26Speaker 1: say nothing to his mama's really not because he's a
- 56:28Speaker 1: mama's boy. This ain't nothing new to him. Let me
- 56:31Speaker 1: get to the letter. She comments on how we're parent
- 56:34Speaker 1: our finances, my decorating style, how I cook, my house cleaning,
- 56:38Speaker 1: and then your child got sick and she calls a
- 56:40Speaker 1: big scene at the hospital saying it was my fault
- 56:44Speaker 1: for not taking better care of her grandchild. It's just
- 56:46Speaker 1: half a crazy. That's how you get a person arrested.
- 56:51Speaker 1: That's how you get child protective services, That's how you
- 56:54Speaker 1: get children taken from people. She's got to be crazy.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Once you start making these statements in the hospital, they
- 57:00Speaker 1: starts checking real closer. Yeah, my child is young, and
- 57:04Speaker 1: she constantly critiques him, which makes him not like her.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Very much. See, this is an old battle acts right here,
- 57:19Speaker 1: this health right here. She ain't happy with herself. So
- 57:22Speaker 1: she ain't happy with you, the way your parents, the
- 57:24Speaker 1: way you clean, the way you She ain't happy with
- 57:27Speaker 1: the grandchild. She ain't happy with her son. This is
- 57:30Speaker 1: an old, old battle ax. Last week she told me
- 57:34Speaker 1: she hopes the new baby is not a brat like
- 57:37Speaker 1: my toddler. Is she serious? What's wrong with her? Man?
- 57:41Speaker 1: She's just a nasty person. My boyfriend seems to overlook
- 57:46Speaker 1: her insults when she goes in on him, but it's
- 57:48Speaker 1: hard for me to hear her telling him that he's
- 57:50Speaker 1: a side excuse for a man she raised him. It's
- 57:55Speaker 1: her son, You're side excuse for a man you raised.
- 58:00Speaker 1: So you know, let's get some of these fingers pointing
- 58:02Speaker 1: at you. I told her that her behavior is unacceptable,
- 58:06Speaker 1: and she said that she's just giving us much needed
- 58:10Speaker 1: advice and constructive criticism. Take the word constructive out. It's
- 58:14Speaker 1: just criticism and it's not much needed. It's that you
- 58:17Speaker 1: do it all the time because you funk it, because
- 58:20Speaker 1: you ain't happy with yourself. She says, she's doing that
- 58:23Speaker 1: because you're young and you don't know anything. Stephen Sherlett.
- 58:25Speaker 1: We're in our early thirties and we can take care
- 58:28Speaker 1: of ourselves. I'm starting. She thinks she might be right
- 58:31Speaker 1: about my boyfriend being sorry. Okay, she's winning now or
- 58:35Speaker 1: she gets you over the leaning that right there, she winning.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Don't let her do it, you'll dode. Ain't sorry. He
- 58:42Speaker 1: just won't talk to her about her fire mouth and
- 58:44Speaker 1: bad attitude. You know why this ain't new to him.
- 58:48Speaker 1: He grew up with her, her bad attitude and fire mouth.
- 58:52Speaker 1: He grew up with it. He don't even hit no more.
- 58:55Speaker 1: It's the norm for him. This is new to you.
- 58:58Speaker 1: So what you're tripping on, he's made the adjustment to
- 59:01Speaker 1: He don't even hear her. Wow, he been't cut her out?
- 59:06Speaker 1: All right, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of
- 59:08Speaker 1: your response to today's Strubberry letter. If you don't get
- 59:11Speaker 1: your mama, I will at twenty three after the hour,
- 59:14Speaker 1: right after you're listening. All right, Come on, Steve, let's
- 59:20Speaker 1: recap today's Strubberry letter. If you don't get your mama.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Recap The old mama is an old battle axe. She's
- 59:26Speaker 1: not happy. She better she evil. She don't like nothing.
- 59:33Speaker 1: She debased this woman out in the hospital. Damn near
- 59:37Speaker 1: got in trouble. Talk about you hoping the new baby
- 59:39Speaker 1: ain't like just brought you to raise Wow? Wow she evil? Yeah,
- 59:44Speaker 1: she don't like the way the lady cook clean dou
- 59:47Speaker 1: house parents nothing evil was ugly. She say her son
- 59:56Speaker 1: is a side excuse for a man, and that's who
- 59:59Speaker 1: she read. Now I'm starting to think she might be
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: right about my boyfriend being sorry. He's not. He's just
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: used to her because he won't talk to her about
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: her firemouth and bad attitude once again, because he used
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: to her. He grew up with the firemouth and an attitude.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: That's just how his mama is. She didn't just get
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: this way. I've told him that she is no longer welcome.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I've told him that she's no longer welcome in our
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: home and that I do not want her to have
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: relationship with our knew baber. Okay, that's not cool. I
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: got she ain't cool at all. But two wrongs ain't
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: gonna make it right. You told your husband that his
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: mama ain't welcome in our home no more. You got
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: him in a bad spot. You got him in the
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: horribles because it's crazy as wrong as she is. It's
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: still his mama. He loved her. I don't need this
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: stress during my last trimester of my pregnancy. How can
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I get my man to step off and get his
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: mom in check? His mom has never been in a check.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: This ain't new, so I don't know. You know, he's
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: got to sit his mom down and go, mom, this
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: my family. I loved them. Yeah, and he's got to
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: make the case in point to her so she can
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: lighten up, or you're gonna lose, you know us, because
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: I'm not gonna keep bringing my girl around for this here,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: for you to do this to her. And maybe she'll
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: come around. I don't know, but I don't think she
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: will because she old old hell, old battle lass. Oh,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I'm talking about cranky with her anchor on a big
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: old rusty anchors a mean she's a mean woman. Man.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: It's hard to deal with people that stak She did
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: everything but call her ugly. She really did. She insult
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: her everything, her cooking or cleaning, her decorating style, how
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: they parent their finances, the brat right, call the baby
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: a brat, her husband a boyfriend is a size useful
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: of man. Yeah, and then she said they need it
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: they need her advice because they're young and they don't
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: know anything. Man. Yeah, and then she's pregnant with their
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: second child. Who she's right, she doesn't need that kind
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: of stress. No, she don't. Your main concern is the
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: healthy your baby. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah, he definitely needs to
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: sit down and and talk to his mom. Maybe they
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: can do it together, you know, look, let's try to
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: get along as a family. Huh you mean together with
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: the baby mom. Yeah, I mean they maybe the two
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: of them can set the mom down and say, look,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: we we can't do this. Because if they permit present
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: a united front to the mom, maybe she'll get it.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: And where where's the dad? Where's her husband? She doesn't
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: have one in all this. He left when he was
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: a boy, when the son and he got hit by
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: a car. When no, I'm just saying he father might
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: not be in his life at all. Nor is he
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: trying to get back over there because he got to
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: deal with her. Yeah, but they gotta do something because
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I you know, like I said, I think it's harsh
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: if she doesn't want her in the new baby's life
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and not to come over there anymore. They have to
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: work that she don't like the first baby. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: she called him a brat, right, yeah, she's she's a mean,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: mean one mama right there, man, Oh yeah, but you're right,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: he probably tuned her out. Oh don't even yeah, no, no,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: But does she just walk up in their house and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: start talking or what? How does she get in there?
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: They have to let her in, so probably the door. Yeah,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: they're gonna have to sit and sit her down and
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: really really talk to her and tell her about herself
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: in a respectful way. H good luck with Dada. But
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: her question is how can she get her man to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: step up and get his mom in check? Maybe if
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: they both do it together, because yeah, his his her
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: son has tuned him out, tuned her out, like you say,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: step yeah, yeah, I mean completely tuned. It's such a
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: bad case right here, because you know, just put an
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: ultimatum down about mama can't come over the house no more,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and I don't have a relationship with the child because
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: her mother is so evil to her first baby. Yeah yeah.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: And then Shirley, there's something to play with them not
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: being married, but it wouldn't matter to her. She's an
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: evil woman regardless, right right. She might can be using
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: the fact that they're not married, as the excuse, but
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: she would be nasty to the girl if they were married. Yeah,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: all right, guys, we gotta get out of here. You
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: can post your thoughts on Today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Harvey f M. And check out our Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: on demand. Okay, our Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. You
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: can hear today's letter coming up next more of the
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening Morning
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: show all right time now for our Chief Love Officer,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: the CLO, the one and only Steve Harvey. Steve, you
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: know you get to answer questions from our listening to Hey, Hey, hey,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: stay in your everybody right, I just stay in your pray,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you stay in with your past, to stay all that day.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: You ain't in this? Hi? Yeah, Jay, you got to
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: stop before you get stupak get out. I didn't say nothing,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: but I'm let me tell you what your team member said.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: If you're the chief, what am I? That's what he
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: asked Steve, And he gave a list of title. I
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: gave him a whole lot of stuff he was, but
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: what he was? But Steve, these are from grown women. Okay,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: these are from good and grown women who need your advice.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: This one's from Sarah out of New Orleans. She says, Steve,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I'm sixty one, I'm sexy with my Angela Davis Fro.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I'm in love and I can't get enough of my man.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I want him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, morning, noon
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: and night. He's sixty five and we have such great chemistry.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: There's one problem. He's been married for the past thirty years,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: but he says he wants to leave her from me.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I hope he isn't just leading me on. Should I
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: trust him? Excuse me, lady, have you not heard this before?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I mean, you're sixty one. You've never heard of a
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: married man saying he wants to leave her. Anybody who
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: wants to leave somebody and it's really wanting to go,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: can leave. He's been married for thirty years. He ain't
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: going nowhere. He's sixty five. Let me tell you why
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: he can't leave. He can't mess up his pension, he
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: can't mess up his medicare. Come on, he can't mess
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: up his insurance. He took close to the tape to
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: make an idiotic move like this. Now too close to
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the tape. He damned that out. He didn't live wig motor,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: he got left. Don't talk to him man this close
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: to the damn tape and ask him to make thirty
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: year old decisions. He's on the back nine of golf.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: He's on the back back nine. Lady, you got it.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: He has a wife. It's not you, Nope, you're the
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: chick on the side. You know why it's so good
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: because y'all ain't got no bills together. Y'all ain't got
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: no medicaid together. Y'all ain't trying to make no house
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: no together. Y'all ain't got no grandkids. Y'all ain't trying
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: to prepare for retirement. That's why it's great. Go put
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: that other stuff on it. You ain't gonna like his ass.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: He's down to the little bit of milk left in
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: the cereal. That's where he is down to, y'all stupid medics.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: After the hour, we'll have more from the CLO right
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, So Steve,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: here's a question for you, since you're the CLO, the
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer. All right, how long do you think
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: it takes before couples, you know, have the talk about
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: how to label their relationship. And I'm asking you that
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: because a new study. This is according to a new study,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: uh it says that it takes on average six weeks
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: to have what you know, what we are talk and
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: to label the relationship. Well, you know when you have
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: to talk about your relationship and putting labels on where
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: are we going? Where you know? Isn't it what are
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: we doing? You know? What are we doing? Should have
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: it at is a restaurant? No? No, no, no no,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I said, you know, like when when and what time
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: in the relationship should we have it? I think ninety days? Okay,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I think for a woman's sake, I think a woman
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: has to get a determination, get some type of idea
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: of where this is going. Okay, when she finds out out,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: just give it up because that's ninety days. Well, you
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: know what you don't have to do as a guy
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: a minium by don't mean give it up, do it,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: but go ahead, but you know, um, ninety days. You
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: should have an idea what it's going. You've every right
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: to know. And ask a man what it is his head? Okay.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Another question, Steve, how should they bring it up? How
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: should you broach that subject. No, damn text messages. That's
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: for san you know. You know, if a woman is
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: curious about what the relationship is, she got to bring
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: it up. If a man wants it to find it,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: he needs to break it. But and how should they
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: do that? That was my original? Hey, where we're going?
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Just right out with it? I said, where we're going?
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: What is all this? What we're doing? In that tone? No,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: but that's the man, because that can't be the woman. Well, hello, wait,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: surely don't rush pass that. Wait baby, I'm just asking too, though, Steve,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: don't you think that. I don't know, for women sometimes
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: they might feel it's kind of awkward or they don't
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: know how to do that to just come right out
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: with it and say, hey, where are we going with
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: this musaship? What are we Yeah? That you just saying,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: come right on out with it? Well, I mean, you know,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: you could try to like round about out. So can
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I ask you a question? Yeah? My girlfriends are starting
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: to ask me what type of relationship is this? What
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: should I say? Okay, you know what should I be
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: saying to people? And let him give you an ode? Yeah,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: that's what that's now, that's what I wanted to know. Yeah,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: how that's what I figured. But that's good, CLO, that's good.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: So wait like ninety days to even bring up the
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: talk and kind of ease into it. You're saying, kind
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: of ease into it, right, ninety days, ladies, you have
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: every right to be able to say, okay, so what
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: do we have? Especially if ninety days you start passing
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: out that cookie. There's no reason for you to pass
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: out the cookie and not understand what it is. Okay,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you know, if we're if we're in a committed relationship,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: you should know that. I want to know that before
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I passed out to cookie. Yeah, right? Is this a
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: monogamous relationship? Are we committed? Exclusive? Are we exclusive? What
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: is it? I need to know? Okay? You know that
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: makes sense, don't Oh? Yes, yes, yes? And then you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: say when you want to bring the subject up, you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: kind of ease into it, you know, just slide it
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: to him, you know what I mean? Hey, look, no,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: we've been dating for a while and my girlfriends and
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: co workers are starting to ask me what is this
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: we have? So I mean, how would you like for
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: me to address you or describe you what I'm talking
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: to other people? You know, kind of put it on
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: them a little bit. Yeah, and what and what should
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: the woman say if the man asked her? Or will
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: a man ask her that question? Oh? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: of course I don't do they want to know? And
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: what should the woman say? You know, the truth? I mean,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: you know, a guy could say, hey, baby, look we've
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: been at this for a little while. Are we exclusive
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: or no? And then if it's exclusive, you gotta tell
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: him yes. And if it's not thing, you just got
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: to say, hey, no, it's not really, do I'm seeing
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: some other people? Okay, all right, right, just exactly, Thank you, Celo.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:14:49Speaker 1: show all right. A lot of people are losing sleep
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: because of work, Guys and you. Study by account Tips
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: finds that professionals are losing sleep overwork. As for why,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: fifty percent say they've been overwhelmed with work, the volume
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: of work they have, the hours that they have to
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: put in. Some of the other reasons for work related
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: sleep loss include strange coworker relationships, wow, worried that they
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: may lose their job. That's a lot of stress. Yeah, Oh,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: this is a good one. My boss is a nightmare.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Have you checked all three bucks at Jake strange coworker okay,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: strange coworker relationships. Worried I may lose my job and
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: my boss is a nightmare. Okay, So I gotta ask you, Steve.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: You have a lot of jobs. You have more than
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: anyone I know. Do your jobs keep you up at night?
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Or you know? Is it if they do? Is it
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: constant or just ocase? Exhaustion from my jobs just when
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I run up into stupidity. That's the only thing I
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: get exhausted for. I don't I you know, I've really
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: found out over the years. I don't really care for
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: stupid people. I really don't. I can't even I can't
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: even play at all. Like if you're stupid, I look
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: at you like you're stupid the whole time you talk.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I don't know what we're supposed to do with that information.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: It's just important information that you know about me and
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: my job. My job. I love my job. Look, I
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: tell jokes for a living and play music. All of
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: my jobs to have an element of meat, using my
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: god giving talent. So I love my work. It's the
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: things that surround my work like when you stupid? I
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: just can't stand that. Man. Is that no Jay? Good? Jay?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Ignor different from stupid? And when you're doing stuff that
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: ain't attached to nothing and just has no rhyme or reason?
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: What you steady doing? Oh? Anyone in particular in mind er,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: just anyone at the job. I know I didn't think
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: he was gonna say you honestly, um, okay, why would
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I say? It's uncomfortable? Right now? Yes? Why are you uncomfortable?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: You're not stupid? Oh? I know, I know. You just
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: don't like the way that Tommy goes into the shell
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: when you call him stupid. But let him go in there.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: When you go into the shell, he can't say no stupid.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: He's here working. What are you gonna do? He's working.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: I'm right hello, everyone, I'm here. I'm right here. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I'm right here. You stop doing it, stop talking over
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: and around me. I'm right here, all right. Coming up
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: the last break of the day, Steve will have some
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: closing remarks for us. Don't go anywhere. We'll be back
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after the hour right after this.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, We've come to the end
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: of the road for this week. This is our last
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: break of the day on this Friday. Leave us with
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: some closing remarks. Please, you know something, man, I'm not
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: gonna take long to tell you this, but what's the
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: old say that the grass is always greener on the
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: other side. So when you hear that, what they're saying
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: is almost like a warning to people be careful because
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: it always appears that the grass is greener on the
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: other side. And so many people spending their life standing
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: at the fence looking at somebody else's grass and then
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: acknowledging the fact that the grass is greener, it causes
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: you to do nothing about your own yard. And then
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: some people have the audacity, and you see it on
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: the internet all the time that if they look over
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: there and your grass is greener, they try to kill
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: the grass or throw some weeds in it. But you
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: know what I come away with, I don't worry about
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: that because here's what I know. I'm too busy working
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: That's really the truth. I'm really so busy working on
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: my own grass that I don't have time to notice
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: if yours is greener. Because if it is greener. Let's
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: suppose your grass is greener, why can't mind be just
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: as green. I ain't saying we're gonna have the same yard.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: We're just talking about the color of the grass that's
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: in your yard. You don't have to have the same
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: size house I got. You ain't got to have the
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: same size house it ain't got. You ain't got to
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: have the same size house Oprah got. You ain't gonna
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: have the same size yard they got. But if you
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: take care of your business, you can have grass just
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: as green as everybody else. If you just handle your business.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: The gold in life is to get your grass to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: be as green as it can. So when you go
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: outside to pick your crops, it got some fruit to bath.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: And God will always supply your needs. So even though
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: it may look like somebody got made more fruit and
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: they orchard, let me tell you something if you can't.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: If you got an orchard full of apple tree, a
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: thousand apple trees, and I got one apple tree in
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: my yard, but you got a thousand apple trees in
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: your yards. When it's time to eat, how many apples
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: can you eat? Let's say you eat apple six apples
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: that make you fool. My one tree got six apples
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: on it, so we both fool. See at one point
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: in time, you're gonna have to get content with where
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you are in your process of the journey. Stop looking
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: at everybody grass, Stop looking at everybody orchard. They grass
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: greener than mine, They got more apple trees than mine. Hey, man,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: eat apples off your tree. You might find out that
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you have enough. But if you could wear and counting mind,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: you're gonna mess around. Let worms get on yours. I'm
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: too busy working on my own grass to even notice
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: that your grass is greener. Change your commitment to everybody else,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: from everybody else's business. Change your commitment to your business.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: If you the time you spend worried about them, looking
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: at them, talking about them, if you took that same
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: amount of time and spending on yourself, you have any
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: idea what you could accomplish. That's why haters man in
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: so much trouble. Man, you don't even understand. Let people
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: hate all they want. They tending to too many other
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: people's business. Don't get into hate business. It serves nobody.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: And that's another thing. Somebody asked me how to I
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: deal with my haters? I keep all my haters in
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: my classroom. I just got them watching me because that's
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: all they can do. They can't stop nothing God has
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: for me. They can't take away one blessing God gives me.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: They can't do nothing to me. You can't bring no
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: harm on me that I won't be able to survive.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I'm not saying that it don't bother me sometime. I don't.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I'm not saying that people don't attack me sometime. But
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: when you get through attacking me, I'm a weather, you're storm.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I'm Isaiah forty three one and two. I can walk
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: through the rivers and not be overturned. The waters would
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: not overtake me. I can walk through the fire and
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: not be burned. Nor were kindling set upon my clothing.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I wouldn't been through some fire situations and came out
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: on the other side. And if there was no kindling,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: there was no signs that I was even in a fire. Now,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: understand something, but that scripture does not say that when
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: you walk through the fire that it ain't gonna be ungodly. Hota. Now,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: it's been plenty hot for me on plenty days, many occasions. Oh,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: I'd have made some mistakes in front of the world.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Before I didn't had to deal with some stuff. But
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: when I got through, what no signs that I was
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: ever in a fire. That's the God, I said. I
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: have no concern about what people say they're gonna do
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to me. I have no concern about how green your
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: grass is. On the other side, I have no concern
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: about how many apple trees in your orchard. I'm too
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: busy tending to my own grass to even notice that
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: yours is greener. And if I do look over the
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: congratulations on your beautiful green yard, I'm getting mine there too.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: That's all it is. Fix your attitude, change your attitude,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: you'll change your altitude. Those are my closing remarks. Sure
