- 2:07Speaker 6: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harley
- 2:10Speaker 6: got a radio show today.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I want to just share something with you along your
- 2:20Speaker 2: way to wherever it is you're trying to get to.
- 2:25Speaker 2: You know, everybody has a different definition for success, and
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'm not here to tell you what yours should be.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I mean, please pursue whatever you think success is. Aim
- 2:36Speaker 2: as high as you can though, that's for sure. My
- 2:42Speaker 2: father used to say all the time. I'm sure you
- 2:44Speaker 2: all have heard it in different variations, but he used
- 2:46Speaker 2: to always say, aim for the moon. Just in case
- 2:50Speaker 2: you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. Just say
- 2:53Speaker 2: that to me all the time. So that always was
- 2:56Speaker 2: in me to aim high. Now, he wasn't saying aim
- 3:01Speaker 2: with the intent to miss. He was just saying aim
- 3:06Speaker 2: in case you miss you'll steal me amongst the stars
- 3:10Speaker 2: if you aim for the moon. But if you just
- 3:12Speaker 2: aim for that first flow window and you miss it,
- 3:16Speaker 2: you know, usually run into some type of wall and
- 3:19Speaker 2: nothing happens. You slither down, you know. In my book,
- 3:23Speaker 2: act like a lady, think like a man. I told
- 3:25Speaker 2: her people that me in love three ways. They profess,
- 3:28Speaker 2: they provide, they protect, and that's the core essence of
- 3:32Speaker 2: a man's love. Well, there's some other PE's in life too.
- 3:37Speaker 2: The number one thing you have to understand about trying
- 3:41Speaker 2: to be successful, and I guess I'll call this the
- 3:45Speaker 2: four p's. I may come up with five along the way.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I'm just talking as it's given to me. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 2: gonna summer start by saying that these are the four
- 3:55Speaker 2: PE's of success that you have to get ready for.
- 4:00Speaker 2: One is pressure. A lot of it is applied by
- 4:05Speaker 2: the circumstance of what you're trying to go for and
- 4:07Speaker 2: what you're trying.
- 4:08Speaker 6: To do, But.
- 4:11Speaker 2: A lot of it also is self imposed pressure. It's
- 4:16Speaker 2: what you put on yourself to make it. It's a
- 4:20Speaker 2: sense of urgency, it's a sense of necessity. But pressure
- 4:28Speaker 2: is the first thing I want you to be ready
- 4:29Speaker 2: for and pressure comes in a lot of different forms,
- 4:33Speaker 2: but it's going to be pressured as an old saying
- 4:35Speaker 2: that pressure buster pipe. See, that's why most people turn around,
- 4:39Speaker 2: because of the pressure of trying to be successful. I
- 4:42Speaker 2: want you to get it in your mind that it
- 4:45Speaker 2: is going to be a pressureize situation on your rise
- 4:49Speaker 2: to the top. Pressure, but understand that that is what
- 4:54Speaker 2: it is. Is not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself,
- 4:59Speaker 2: get ready for there to be pressure. The second thing
- 5:05Speaker 2: I want you to understand is when you receive this pressure,
- 5:08Speaker 2: you have to persist.
- 5:11Speaker 6: You got to stay at it. You got to develop
- 5:14Speaker 6: a dog illness.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Hez.
- 5:20Speaker 2: There's a song that says, why must I feel like that?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog
- 5:31Speaker 2: in me? That's a funny line in that song, because
- 5:35Speaker 2: really I was thinking about it one day. I was
- 5:37Speaker 2: humming it and and it occurred to me, said, why
- 5:42Speaker 2: must I feel like that? Why must I chase the cat?
- 5:47Speaker 2: Nothing but the dog in me? And you know, now,
- 5:51Speaker 2: you could take it in the literal sense that a
- 5:53Speaker 2: cat chases the dog, because it's innately it's in his
- 5:57Speaker 2: spirit that cats and dogs are a lot of times enemies.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Now people have pets in him, proven that if you
- 6:03Speaker 2: show love.
- 6:04Speaker 6: On both sides, they can exist.
- 6:06Speaker 2: And that happens too, but naturally innately, when your cat
- 6:11Speaker 2: goes by a dog and your dog don't recognize him,
- 6:13Speaker 2: there's some barking going on. I'm talking about just walking
- 6:16Speaker 2: through the neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that
- 6:19Speaker 2: this dog is so persistent towards this cat is just
- 6:25Speaker 2: cause it's in him. It's innately in him. And what
- 6:31Speaker 2: I'm saying to you, just using that as an analogy,
- 6:36Speaker 2: is that you got to be you got to be
- 6:39Speaker 2: persistent in that. You got to develop some dog in
- 6:44Speaker 2: you now, because pressure takes some fighting back. See if
- 6:49Speaker 2: you don't fight back against pressure, pressure buster pipe, So
- 6:52Speaker 2: what you think it'll do to you? Pressure crack walls,
- 6:56Speaker 2: pressure calls, explosions. So if you don't fight back to
- 7:00Speaker 2: hold it in, you understand pressure does most people in
- 7:05Speaker 2: the simple thing called pressure, the weight of what it
- 7:10Speaker 2: feels like to want to be successful every single day,
- 7:13Speaker 2: over and over and over and over and over. It's
- 7:16Speaker 2: just too much pressure. People crack. You got to persist.
- 7:21Speaker 2: You have to persist. You can the thought of giving
- 7:25Speaker 2: up can come, but you got to get it out.
- 7:28Speaker 2: You got to persist. The next thing I want you
- 7:33Speaker 2: to think about is another something that I've been thinking
- 7:36Speaker 2: about for years and learned for years.
- 7:39Speaker 6: It's called perseverance. To persist means.
- 7:44Speaker 2: To insist, a keyword in incest, and persistence insists you must.
- 7:51Speaker 2: You must insist that this is going to happen. Now,
- 7:54Speaker 2: the persist I'm assuming means it's a proaction. It's some
- 7:58Speaker 2: type of proaction that you go towards it to make it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: You know, persist, you gotta be persistent. You gotta be
- 8:05Speaker 2: constantly at it, insisting that it happens. You gotta be
- 8:08Speaker 2: constantly at it. But the next thing I want you
- 8:11Speaker 2: to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that
- 8:17Speaker 2: when you've done your best, when you've persisted, when you're
- 8:22Speaker 2: fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm going
- 8:28Speaker 2: to hang in here. If a crack come into pipe,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 8:36Speaker 2: gonna keep going. If I gotta put duct, take mud,
- 8:40Speaker 2: whatever I got to put on this thing. Man, I'm
- 8:44Speaker 2: gonna use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it no
- 8:48Speaker 2: matter what. So we looking at the three things again.
- 8:52Speaker 2: You got to understand that it's gonna be pressure that
- 8:56Speaker 2: you're gonna have to persist.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Keyword in persistence.
- 8:59Speaker 2: In says you have to insist that no matter what
- 9:02Speaker 2: the pressure is, I'm gonna stay with it. But then
- 9:05Speaker 2: perseverance if it goes wrong, Man, you got to get
- 9:09Speaker 2: in there and keep fighting.
- 9:12Speaker 6: But then, Lord have mercy.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Nothing helps you handle the three peas better than the
- 9:17Speaker 2: fourth p You got to pray. You got to use prayer.
- 9:22Speaker 2: You got to talk to God. You gotta use faith.
- 9:25Speaker 2: You got to have some conferences with him late at night,
- 9:29Speaker 2: early in the morning, in the middle of the afternoon,
- 9:32Speaker 2: when you're on the train, when you driving. You got
- 9:35Speaker 2: to talk to God. Man, you got to get yourself
- 9:37Speaker 2: some help along the way. Nothing is bigger than prayer.
- 9:41Speaker 2: There is nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer will help you
- 9:44Speaker 2: overcome the pressure. Prayer will help you stay persistent, and
- 9:48Speaker 2: Lord have mercy. Prayer will help you persevere. Then, mister
- 9:51Speaker 2: faux pease, God gave that to me. I'm passing it on.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Show.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, we are here again. But by the
- 10:07Speaker 2: grace of God, he didn't allowed us to rise and
- 10:11Speaker 2: shine one more time. I show appreciate it.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Join in with me and say, hey, thank you heavening father,
- 10:17Speaker 6: show appreciate it.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Without you, I would be nothing. That's a clear fact
- 10:21Speaker 2: to me. If you don't feel that way, then be
- 10:23Speaker 2: on whatever it is you own, go ahead and handle
- 10:26Speaker 2: your beusit. I'm just offering to suggestion. You ain't gott
- 10:30Speaker 2: to see it my way, and I really I'm just
- 10:32Speaker 2: offering suggestion.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Thank you.

- 21:19Speaker 13: a lot of money. And Angela Bassett will deliver the
- 21:23Speaker 13: commencement speech at Spelman's College graduation. Yeah, we'll talk about
- 21:27Speaker 13: all of these stories at the top of the hour,
- 21:29Speaker 13: but right now it is time to ask the CLO
- 21:34Speaker 13: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. This is from Tsha in Lansing.
- 21:40Speaker 13: Tisha writes, I'm thirty seven and my boyfriend is forty seven.
- 21:43Speaker 13: We have a son and I want a daughter, but
- 21:46Speaker 13: my boyfriend is too busy running after other females to
- 21:50Speaker 13: get me pregnant. He also has four other kids, so
- 21:54Speaker 13: he's done. My clock is ticking. Should I go find
- 21:57Speaker 13: another man?
- 21:59Speaker 6: Well, don't sound like this one is yours?
- 22:02Speaker 10: No?
- 22:02Speaker 6: How right?
- 22:04Speaker 9: Right?
- 22:04Speaker 2: Because the reason he can't give you another baby because
- 22:07Speaker 2: he out chasing another female he already got folk hid
- 22:11Speaker 2: what makes him a great father?
- 22:14Speaker 6: And why isn't him? Should you go find somebody else?
- 22:17Speaker 15: He is.
- 22:20Speaker 6: For real?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Wow, so you kind of answer your own question. All right,
- 22:25Speaker 2: go ahead, Shirley, We're not gonna spend night.
- 22:27Speaker 13: Rose and Charlotte says, my dad won a few thousands
- 22:30Speaker 13: playing a scratch off and he only gave me one
- 22:33Speaker 13: hundred dollars. He never did much for me growing up,
- 22:36Speaker 13: and my mom never forced him to. He said, I'm
- 22:39Speaker 13: fifty one years old and I need to get over
- 22:42Speaker 13: it or get help. How could he say that to me?
- 22:46Speaker 2: Well, because you're fifty one years old and you need
- 22:49Speaker 2: to get over it or get help. That sounds like
- 22:51Speaker 2: he wanted a couple thousand dollars on the scratch He
- 22:53Speaker 2: gave you one hundred dollars. He I don't even know
- 22:56Speaker 2: why I told you that he won. Yeah, yeah, because
- 23:02Speaker 2: I remember every scratch off I've ever won. I never
- 23:05Speaker 2: breathed a work on your own, no body, yeah, back
- 23:14Speaker 2: in the day on So I mean, you know, ma'am,
- 23:17Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know where you are fifty one.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Come on, ohe you no money on the scratch off.
- 23:24Speaker 13: You don't want something from her dad, but your expectations
- 23:28Speaker 13: is pretty high.
- 23:30Speaker 15: You know.
- 23:31Speaker 6: We get a lot of that around here. I know
- 23:33Speaker 6: how that feels, all right?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Moving on to kandace.
- 23:42Speaker 13: Kan says, I started to seeing a guy on the
- 23:46Speaker 13: side and last week I wanted to give him a
- 23:48Speaker 13: little treat, but he wouldn't take it. He said, I
- 23:52Speaker 13: need to mow the lawn first. Uh uh oh, he said,
- 23:56Speaker 13: it's a requirement. How do I do that without my husband?
- 24:00Speaker 13: Husband suspecting something is up?
- 24:03Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't listen to me.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Here we go again, y'all, y'all coming up with these
- 24:08Speaker 2: abnormal things, and y'all want us to normalize. First of all,
- 24:14Speaker 2: I don't care what your landing stript look like. I
- 24:17Speaker 2: don't care if it's paved. I don't care if it's bushy.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I don't care if he's needly, I don't I don't
- 24:23Speaker 2: care what it is, and now you want.
- 24:27Speaker 6: To get this man a treat, but.
- 24:28Speaker 1: He don't want it.
- 24:30Speaker 2: He don't see you trying to pass out something he
- 24:33Speaker 2: don't even want. Now you're gonna try to make him
- 24:37Speaker 2: take it by honoring his commitment. And then what your hug.
- 24:42Speaker 2: We don't care, really, really, we don't know, we don't,
- 24:47Speaker 2: we do not care. I don't care.
- 24:49Speaker 13: What you do.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Ask your hug being what you do, go ask your
- 24:54Speaker 2: husband how he feel about it, and see what he says. Look,
- 24:58Speaker 2: I'm finna get his other man and a treat, but
- 25:00Speaker 2: he won't meet it. The land the trip. Will you
- 25:05Speaker 2: be okay with that? Let's go ask go ask somebody
- 25:09Speaker 2: who care, because we don't. We don't care, and the
- 25:16Speaker 2: listeners don't care either, because there's women going.
- 25:20Speaker 6: I be damned.
- 25:24Speaker 13: Bye, last one, Steve, this is from Pearl and Lake.
- 25:28Speaker 13: Charles Pearl says, Pearl, God, Pearl, Yeah, Pearl.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Wait, what's the first huh? Go ahead read the letters.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Pearl and Lake.
- 25:39Speaker 13: Charles Pearl says, my oldest granddaughter is fourteen, and she's
- 25:42Speaker 13: allowed to have boys in her bedroom.
- 25:45Speaker 6: With the your name like Pearl, you could have a
- 25:47Speaker 6: granddaughter that forty Now for you know what you name her.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Leave Pearl alone. She needs some help.
- 25:55Speaker 13: She says, I told my daughter that is inappropriate. She
- 25:58Speaker 13: told me that it's better than and sneaking boys in
- 26:01Speaker 13: like she did. Why would she admit that to me?
- 26:05Speaker 6: Wait a minute, I don't understand the question.
- 26:07Speaker 13: Sure, okay, Well, Pearl told her daughter that it's inappropriate
- 26:13Speaker 13: for her daughter, Pearl's granddaughter, to have boys in her
- 26:16Speaker 13: room with the door closed.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Okay, has she told t yeah, fourteen granddaughter?
- 26:22Speaker 13: Yeah, Pearl is right now, Pearl is right, agreed, But
- 26:27Speaker 13: she told her daughter that that was inappropriate. And then
- 26:30Speaker 13: her daughter said, well, it's better than her daughter sneaking
- 26:33Speaker 13: the boys in like she was doing this.
- 26:37Speaker 6: And then five came whipped.
- 26:40Speaker 2: If you are allowing fourteen year olds to have boys
- 26:43Speaker 2: over at the house behind closed doors, when when stuff
- 26:47Speaker 2: happened to her, you know when stuff started happening. Don't
- 26:53Speaker 2: don't don't, don't don't be talking about.
- 26:55Speaker 6: Why did you? How did you?
- 26:56Speaker 2: You're not teaching your daughters and your granddaughter Dore's any
- 27:00Speaker 2: values or molds.
- 27:02Speaker 6: You're letting them do what they want to do. So
- 27:04Speaker 6: you're letting the streets raise your daughter in your house,
- 27:08Speaker 6: though fourteen. They let me tell you something.
- 27:13Speaker 2: At fourteen, you're not going behind closed door because ain't
- 27:17Speaker 2: no boy coming over here at fourteen, No y'all need
- 27:20Speaker 2: to do all y'all talking at the school. Fourteen, you
- 27:22Speaker 2: don't get male company at fourteen.
- 27:25Speaker 6: Not at my house. You didn't.
- 27:26Speaker 1: No the door closed, not at all, an out though
- 27:31Speaker 1: in the.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Bedroom you can't come over and sit round. No, man,
- 27:37Speaker 2: I ain't well, ain't doing it because boy no.
- 27:41Speaker 13: But the deal is her mom thinks it's okay because
- 27:46Speaker 13: at first the granddaughter or her daughter was sneaking the
- 27:49Speaker 13: boys in.
- 27:51Speaker 6: See.
- 27:52Speaker 1: So her mother is saying she rather knows.
- 27:54Speaker 13: She rather be in the room with the door closed
- 27:58Speaker 13: than her sneaking boys in.
- 28:00Speaker 1: That's what she's saying.
- 28:01Speaker 2: The grandmama wants to know why her daughter would admit
- 28:05Speaker 2: to her, Yes, she lets her daughter do it because
- 28:09Speaker 2: she used to sneak boys in at fourteen, well as
- 28:13Speaker 2: mama did. Mama allows to do so Mama is saying,
- 28:18Speaker 2: since I used to sneak them in, I don't want.
- 28:20Speaker 6: Her doing that, so I let them in.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Why they in?
- 28:23Speaker 6: Though? Why they in?
- 28:26Speaker 2: Don't nobody see the air in this piece of judgment.
- 28:29Speaker 2: But if you got parents who make judgmental errors and
- 28:34Speaker 2: don't recognize it or admit to it. What do you
- 28:37Speaker 2: expect a child to do except do what they're allowed
- 28:40Speaker 2: to do? Your children would do an abundance of stupid
- 28:44Speaker 2: stuff if you allow it. It's called parenting, yes, and
- 28:50Speaker 2: parenting ain't popular.
- 28:53Speaker 13: That's right, hard job, all right, thank you, Colo. Coming
- 28:57Speaker 13: up at the top of the hour, we'll have some
- 28:59Speaker 13: entertainment news for you.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You're right after this.
- 29:01Speaker 9: You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 29:06Speaker 13: According to NBC News, President Biden on Saturday used his
- 29:10Speaker 13: White House Correspondence Association dinner speech to swipe take a
- 29:14Speaker 13: swipe a former President Donald Trump.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Taking shots at Trump.
- 29:18Speaker 13: While highlighting the stakes of the election, Biden cracked jokes
- 29:22Speaker 13: and tackled his age head on, saying he was a
- 29:25Speaker 13: quote grown man running against a six year old to
- 29:28Speaker 13: take a listen when the President mentions the vice president,
- 29:32Speaker 13: hold on, but look, age.
- 29:37Speaker 6: Is the only thing we have in common.
- 29:39Speaker 1: My vice president actually endorses.
- 29:41Speaker 17: Me, oh, referring to yeah Trump, all right.
- 29:53Speaker 13: President Biden's speech took a serious turn as well when
- 29:57Speaker 13: he discussed the stakes of November's presidential election, echoing themes
- 30:01Speaker 13: of his campaign speeches as he highlighted what he called
- 30:04Speaker 13: Trump's quote attack on our democracy. So he took you know,
- 30:10Speaker 13: he made some jokes. Of course, that's what they do
- 30:12Speaker 13: with the correspondence dinner. Then he got serious and said,
- 30:15Speaker 13: but I.
- 30:16Speaker 6: Was watching on CNN.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Last night, this special they had called a Closer Look
- 30:25Speaker 2: or something, and it's about what this new organization is called,
- 30:29Speaker 2: Christian Nationalists and the white even evangelicals what they're saying
- 30:36Speaker 2: in their pool pits now it's all pro Trump. This
- 30:41Speaker 2: one past the white pastor was said, if you're a Democrat,
- 30:45Speaker 2: we don't even want you a member of this church.
- 30:47Speaker 2: You take your baby murdering welfare.
- 30:51Speaker 6: Wonton then go that you don't. We don't want you
- 30:54Speaker 6: in this church.
- 30:56Speaker 2: We you can't be a Democrat and call yours yourself
- 31:00Speaker 2: a Christian. I mean, man, this dude was in the
- 31:03Speaker 2: pool picture spendiness. You have to be a Republican to
- 31:11Speaker 2: be a Christian. If you're a Democrat, they don't want
- 31:14Speaker 2: you at that church. The Christian Nationalist because their whole
- 31:19Speaker 2: thing is the Constitution is by God. God is mentioned
- 31:24Speaker 2: one time in the Constitution and all it says is
- 31:29Speaker 2: in the year of our Lord.
- 31:33Speaker 6: After that there is no mentioned.
- 31:37Speaker 2: But they are basing America all the principles that is
- 31:41Speaker 2: a Christian nation when this country has done more un
- 31:46Speaker 2: christ like things to the Native Americans, to the Asian community,
- 31:52Speaker 2: to the African Americans, to anybody that to the Jewish community.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I mean, they've done more anti christ things than anybody
- 32:04Speaker 2: and didn't want to base it all around that. And
- 32:06Speaker 2: that's what's holding a lot of the Trump nation together
- 32:09Speaker 2: is Christian nationalists. And that doesn't make them Christians.
- 32:16Speaker 1: That's not what Jesus's message was all about.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Well, according to them, if you're a Democrat, you can't
- 32:21Speaker 2: be a Christian. All this hate and divine But see,
- 32:26Speaker 2: here's the cold thing about the Christian nationalists. What they
- 32:29Speaker 2: don't understand all their policies. Listen to me, y'all. Republicans
- 32:35Speaker 2: get abortions too, the anti gay policies.
- 32:41Speaker 6: Republicans are gay.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Also, the immigration laws, let's seal the border, stop these
- 32:48Speaker 2: people from coming over here. They work on the farms,
- 32:51Speaker 2: the restaurants, and the construction sites that's owned by Republicans.
- 32:57Speaker 2: The welfare system that they want to do away with
- 33:01Speaker 2: is a predominantly white system and.
- 33:04Speaker 1: The hypocracy of it all see.
- 33:06Speaker 2: And they're Republican. It is just a horrible and they're
- 33:11Speaker 2: sitting there doing this to us and we're allowing it.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And I watched this special on CNN that a Closer
- 33:18Speaker 2: Look or something. I forgot the name of the special,
- 33:21Speaker 2: but it was on, and you gotta watch it, man,
- 33:23Speaker 2: because they gonna repeat it. It's dangerous what's coming from
- 33:26Speaker 2: some of these pool pits.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Man sad all right.
- 33:33Speaker 1: And other entertainment news.
- 33:36Speaker 13: Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas said during a recent interview
- 33:40Speaker 13: that days after proposing to his ex fiancee Laura Govan
- 33:43Speaker 13: on her birthday, the two broke up and he regretted
- 33:46Speaker 13: giving her such an expensive engagement ring. It was valued
- 33:50Speaker 13: in about four hundred thousand dollars. He went on to say,
- 33:53Speaker 13: in an attempt to get back his ring, he got
- 33:56Speaker 13: back together with her and he swapped the original with
- 34:00Speaker 13: a fake ring worth only ten grand Govan found out
- 34:04Speaker 13: about the fake ring after their breakup, and she took
- 34:06Speaker 13: him to court but lost that case.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Surely said, you said, what's her name.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Gloria Govan? Govan, Laura, Laura, Laura, Laura Laura, Yeah, okay, big, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:23Speaker 1: The other one used to be with Matt Barnes. Matt Barnes.
- 34:27Speaker 13: Yeah, so he bought The point was he bought her
- 34:31Speaker 13: this big, expensive ring and they broke up. Then he
- 34:34Speaker 13: got back together with her and he took that ring
- 34:37Speaker 13: and gave her a ten thousand dollars ring.
- 34:39Speaker 10: Wow.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Dirty.
- 34:40Speaker 1: So it really was dirty. So I didn't see the problem,
- 34:47Speaker 1: to be honest, I thought it was great. So so
- 34:52Speaker 1: here's a question. Should you give the engagement ring back?
- 34:56Speaker 1: Should she's giving it back to him?
- 35:00Speaker 4: Is that the rule?
- 35:00Speaker 6: When it's had this debate so many times?
- 35:03Speaker 1: Man, Yeah, if you break it off.
- 35:05Speaker 6: Then you think the rings should be given back.
- 35:08Speaker 15: We do.
- 35:09Speaker 14: I mean, what what you're going to do? What you're
- 35:12Speaker 14: gonna do with a ring? What are you gonna do
- 35:14Speaker 14: with a ring? And the guy gone who gave me,
- 35:18Speaker 14: sell it?
- 35:18Speaker 12: Sell it?
- 35:20Speaker 6: Question on it?
- 35:20Speaker 7: Sell it?
- 35:23Speaker 1: The same thing you would do. I don't know why
- 35:27Speaker 1: Gil got the four hundred thousand. The ten was good too.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Hello for ten. I had to do it all right.
- 35:39Speaker 13: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we're going
- 35:42Speaker 13: to check Steve's voicemail eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve,

- 54:32Speaker 6: It is Strawberry Letter, Thank.
- 54:34Speaker 1: You, nephew.
- 54:34Speaker 13: Subject my topless younger sister in the hot tub. Dear
- 54:39Speaker 13: Stephen Shirley, My husband and I have been married nineteen
- 54:42Speaker 13: years and we have two teenage daughters. My husband has
- 54:46Speaker 13: seen it all and he has adjusted to bras and
- 54:49Speaker 13: the laundry make up all over the house, and he
- 54:51Speaker 13: doesn't mind buying special items for the girls. The girls
- 54:55Speaker 13: are totally in love with my younger sister, who's twenty
- 54:58Speaker 13: four and care free. She's a nail tech and she's
- 55:02Speaker 13: probably sleeping with an older man because she drives an
- 55:06Speaker 13: expensive car that her quote man bought. She's a free
- 55:09Speaker 13: spirit with a big personality and big wild hair. My
- 55:14Speaker 13: husband jokingly calls her a weirdo, and she calls him
- 55:18Speaker 13: a nerd. Saturday, she took the girls to a concert
- 55:21Speaker 13: and they got in late, so my sister slept on
- 55:24Speaker 13: our couch. She woke up and made coffee and I
- 55:27Speaker 13: cooked breakfast. My husband had said he was going to
- 55:30Speaker 13: sit in a hot tub for a few minutes because
- 55:32Speaker 13: his back was hurting. When the breakfast was ready, I
- 55:35Speaker 13: assumed my sister was getting dressed, so I yelled for
- 55:38Speaker 13: her and my daughter's to come eat. I was headed
- 55:41Speaker 13: out back to get my husband, and I saw the
- 55:44Speaker 13: back of my sister's head. She was in the hot
- 55:47Speaker 13: tub with my husband and they were having a conversation
- 55:51Speaker 13: about budgeting, but she was topless. She had her triple
- 55:55Speaker 13: DS sitting on top of the water, surrounded by bubble.
- 56:01Speaker 13: She nor my.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Husband thought that anything was wrong with it.
- 56:05Speaker 13: He tried to calm me down, but I chased her
- 56:07Speaker 13: wet behind all across the backyard until my teenagers caught
- 56:11Speaker 13: up with me and told me to stop. I can't
- 56:13Speaker 13: believe that she is that clueless. My husband said he
- 56:17Speaker 13: wasn't aroused in the least bit. What kind of fool
- 56:20Speaker 13: do they think I am? How could he not be
- 56:22Speaker 13: turned on? Is that even possible? Please advise? Okay, whether
- 56:29Speaker 13: she says she knew it or not, and of course
- 56:31Speaker 13: she did a babysits was out.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Of line period, she knew what she was doing.
- 56:36Speaker 13: I mean, what heterosexual man would not be turned on
- 56:40Speaker 13: by a topless woman? Double d's in the hot tub
- 56:43Speaker 13: with him at that point, he's no longer looking at
- 56:46Speaker 13: her as your little sister. He's looking at her and
- 56:49Speaker 13: her boobs. If he wasn't excited, like he said, why
- 56:52Speaker 13: didn't he tell her to put her top on? He
- 56:54Speaker 13: should have gotten out of the hot tub and gone
- 56:57Speaker 13: in the house. I mean, she's grown as a man.
- 57:00Speaker 1: She knows what men like. She's your sister, not his.
- 57:04Speaker 13: It's disrespectful, it's shameful, especially with you and the kids
- 57:09Speaker 13: in the house.
- 57:10Speaker 1: You're not wrong in how you feel. You're not wrong
- 57:12Speaker 1: in what you did. When you chased her around.
- 57:15Speaker 13: You reacted like any wife would have. She shouldn't be
- 57:18Speaker 13: glad that you didn't do anything else like beat her behind.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Steve, come on rather open and shut case. Yeah, my
- 57:28Speaker 2: topless younger sister in the hot tub, y'all been. You
- 57:31Speaker 2: and your husband married nineteen years, two teenage daughters, and
- 57:38Speaker 2: you have a younger sister who's twenty four years old
- 57:40Speaker 2: and care free, and the girls, your two teenage girls,
- 57:45Speaker 2: are absolutely in love with her. Now this is where
- 57:49Speaker 2: you start to learning about it. You say that your
- 57:52Speaker 2: younger sister's a nail tech and she's probably sleeping with
- 57:56Speaker 2: an older man because she drives in expensive car that
- 58:01Speaker 2: her man bought. Okay, I guess he could be older,
- 58:06Speaker 2: but you know it don't necessarily have to be. But
- 58:09Speaker 2: let's let's say that's true. She's a free spirit, big personality,
- 58:13Speaker 2: big wild hair. Now she and nail picked big wild hair,
- 58:18Speaker 2: free spirit. It's all that her hair, and you refer
- 58:24Speaker 2: to that as big wild hair. I think you want
- 58:28Speaker 2: to put a lot more on this girl so.
- 58:31Speaker 6: You can get to the bottom of this letter. She
- 58:33Speaker 6: big wild hair. Keep in mind, big wild hair, all right.
- 58:39Speaker 2: My husbandly jokingly calls her a widow, and she calls
- 58:43Speaker 2: him a nerd. That is called deflection, You little weirdo
- 58:50Speaker 2: with that big old hair and them big old hey widow,
- 58:57Speaker 2: Now you a nerd? Okay, he's if you got double d's.
- 59:04Speaker 2: You've noticed it before we got in this hot tub. Yeah,
- 59:10Speaker 2: I'm just telling you that right now because just being
- 59:12Speaker 2: on the show with you all for all these years.
- 59:17Speaker 6: You know, that's all on the show, and that's all
- 59:21Speaker 6: I'm just all around.
- 59:24Speaker 15: You know.
- 59:25Speaker 2: That's what this says about it, you know. So anyway, Saday,
- 59:30Speaker 2: she took the girls to a concert. They got in late,
- 59:32Speaker 2: so your sister slept on the couch. She woke up,
- 59:35Speaker 2: made coffee, I cooked breakfast. My husband said he was
- 59:39Speaker 2: gonna go sit in the hotel for a few minutes
- 59:41Speaker 2: because his back was hurting.
- 59:43Speaker 6: Now, I don't know if she heard that then or
- 59:47Speaker 6: if after she made the coffee. She was in the
- 59:49Speaker 6: hot tub.
- 59:51Speaker 2: I don't know who got in there first, but somebody
- 59:54Speaker 2: got in there first, and somebody.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Knew the other one was in there either.
- 59:58Speaker 2: He looked out there and saw her out there with
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: the coffee, or she decided to go out there after
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: he made the announcement he was going to get in
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: it because he hurt his back. So my husband said
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: he was going to sit in the hotel for a
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: few minutes because his back was hurt. When breakfast was ready,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: I assumed my sister was getting dressed. Well, you got
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: that right. You got the dress part right, but you
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: just misunderstood. I yelled for her and my daughters to
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: come eat. I was headed out back to get my husband,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: and I saw the back of my sister's head. She
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: was in the hottel, but my husband they was having
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: a conversation about button and she was topless. Well you
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: just said you assume your sister was getting dressed. Well, no,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: but she was getting undressed.
- 1:00:49Speaker 13: We'll have part two of Steve's responds coming up at
- 1:00:52Speaker 13: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:00:56Speaker 13: my topless younger sister in the hot tub. We'll get
- 1:00:59Speaker 13: back into it right after this.
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: You're listening.
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: Morning show, All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:01:06Speaker 13: Strawberry letter. The subject is my topless younger sister in
- 1:01:10Speaker 13: the hot tub.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Well, let's just get to this part of it right here.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Your husband knows you have this younger sister. She's twenty four,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: y'all got two teenage daughters that just love her. Or
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: one night, then your husband first her as a weirdo,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: and she refers to your husband as a nerd.
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: I think that's deflection.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Because she got triple d's, and she got big hair,
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: and she got this car she driving that you think
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: a older man bought for.
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: So obviously homegirl know what she doing. Yeah, she know
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: how to use what God gave for evil purposes.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: So anyway, that's what it for. She took the girls
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: to a concert one night, and so she got in late.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: They slept on the couch. She woke up to twenty
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: for you only made some coffee. I cooked breakfast. My
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: husband said he was gonna go sit in the hotub
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: a few minutes because his back was hurting. When the
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: breakfast was ready, I assumed my sister was getting dressed,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: so I yelled for her and the doors to come eat.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: I was head out back to getting my husband. I
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: saw the back of my sister's head. She was in
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: the hot tub with my husband and they was having
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: a conversation about budgeting, but she was topless. She had
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: her triple DEDs sitting on top of the water, surrounded
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: by bubbles. She know my husband thought anything was wrong
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: with it? Well, I know your husband got to act
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: like ain't nothing wrong. So this is what I think happened, sister.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: I think your husband got in the tub first because
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: his back was hurt. She heard that and went, oh,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: they got a hot tub. I'm gonna go out here
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: and get in it too. But she took her top off,
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: so I don't think your husband is to blame here.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I think he got in there first. He tried to
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: calm me down, but I chased her wet behind all
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: across the backyard until my teenagers caught up with me
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: and told me to stop.
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: I can't believe she is that clueless. She's not.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Ain't no woman took their top off in front of
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: no man and didn't think that was supposed to be
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: some type of reaction.
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: Come on, that's impossible. So she's not clueless. She know
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: what she doing. She took that same top off and
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: got that car.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: A nice car too. Did she say an extensive car?
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's them triple ds that keep her working as
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: a nail tech because while she been over doing these nails.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: You better believe them, customers is going, Lord have mercy,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: look at you. My my husband said he wasn't aroused
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: in the least bit. Oh God, what kind of fool
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: do they think I am? How could he not be
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: turned on? Is that even possible? Please advise, Yes, it
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: is possible to not be turned on.
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: It is possible. Breast, can't do it, just breast.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: I've seen some women with some incredible sizes and not
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: be attracted at all, So yes, it can happen.
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: Here.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: The problem though, they was in the hot tub, and
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: it was bubbles. Now, once you put bubbles on who
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: you are, they look eighty five percent better bubbles and
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: and and then it's that sound, to that gurgling sound.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: And I'm just telling you right now, while you was
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: chasing her around that backyard, he had to stay in
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: that hot tube.
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: I'm just gonna tell you that right now.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: No way in his letter did it say he got
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: out the hot tub to help chase her down. He
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: got in that hot tub and let that hot water
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: do what he needed to do so he could get
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: back to nor them. Yeah, and then the fight and
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: you chasing her that that's a that's a buzzkiller too.
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: So that helped.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Then the little his daughter come out in the backyard.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: All that helped to help him regulate himself. So by
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: the time he stood up out the hot tub, his
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: back wasn't hurting and he was just thinking the Lord.
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: Now, was she clueless? No, she was not.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: She knew exactly what she was doing. Did you have
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: every right to chase her around the backyard?
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: And I don't know what kind of budget that they
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: was talking about, but I'll tell you what them numbers
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: weren't making, no damn since I could tell you that
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: right now, because he kept saying two and both of them.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: You know, he just kept saying that over and over.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: He kept saying two and both of them. That was
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the budgeting they were.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: You know, you could save two times your money, and
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: you can double down on your money in the stock market.
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: Uh, you know sometimes you could triple your money.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and you could them deesus when you double down.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: You know, all of his references was them breast bubbling
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: in that water, right, So yeah, you can be not
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: be turned on, that's possible. But was he I don't
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: know if he was. Now she say, your husband is nerd,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: but he ain't that bigger nerd. He got two babies. Yeah,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: this ain't nobody that bigger nerd. And she twenty four.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: She knew what she was doing.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: So yeah, why would she do that?
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: Why because she's dumb.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: She used to get in her way and she was
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: gonna sit out there and try and see what she
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: could get away. This was just I don't think they've
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: done anything up until now. But she baked him though,
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: trying to see what he's doing. She might need another car,
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: maybe she maybe she need a car fixed. You know,
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: if you got an expensive car, well, a lot of
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: people don't know. Nobody expensive cars is maintenance. You can
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: buy the range roller, but you got to be ready
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: for the range Rover bill.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Cause that don't call it.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: You can't go to Jiffilu and get that one done
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: dollar all change on the range robe.
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: All right.

- 1:07:35Speaker 11: Okay, the Celtics over the Heat last night, one O
- 1:07:38Speaker 11: two to eighty eight, take a.
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: Three to one league.
- 1:07:40Speaker 21: Derek White dropped thirty eight to really really push this
- 1:07:43Speaker 21: in the Celtics favor thunder eliminated the Pelicans, Yes, dropping
- 1:07:48Speaker 21: thirty eight, Yeah, drop thirty eight, man, thunder eliminate the Pelicans.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Did you see what Charles Barkley said? They're not even
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: sending the Pelicans, can't coon.
- 1:07:58Speaker 11: They said they're gonna have to go to Galvis, Texas,
- 1:08:01Speaker 11: just gonna get the dirty water. So also, man, here
- 1:08:06Speaker 11: we go the Lakers high he found far a tough game,
- 1:08:09Speaker 11: but they lost to the Nuggets one o eight to
- 1:08:10Speaker 11: one oh six. And Derreck Murray, I mean Jamal Murray, man,
- 1:08:13Speaker 11: I just think this brother here man is just not
- 1:08:16Speaker 11: getting his respect. He Paul last night dropped thirty two
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: to put the Nuggets over the Lakers one O eight
- 1:08:21Speaker 11: to one oh six and send the Lakers home. And
- 1:08:24Speaker 11: everybody saw Lebron's press confer because Lebron didn't even answer
- 1:08:26Speaker 11: the question is he gonna be a Laker next season?
- 1:08:29Speaker 11: And he said, I'm just not gonna answer that right now,
- 1:08:31Speaker 11: so we don't know. He got He can opt in
- 1:08:34Speaker 11: by June twenty ninth to see if he gonna play.
- 1:08:36Speaker 11: He has a player option, so he could probably pick
- 1:08:37Speaker 11: it up and stay a Laker, or we don't know
- 1:08:39Speaker 11: where else he's going. But if he liked to, we'd
- 1:08:41Speaker 11: like to offer his services for the Houston Rockets. If
- 1:08:43Speaker 11: he just would like to come down and just play
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: with us, we would.
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: Let let me ask you a question, man, won't make
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: Lebron want to go to Houston?
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I just I just I just want him there. I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: don't have to have a reason.
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: He just a good player. We could really use it.
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: That's pretty much why we could have him. Well, I don't.
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: I don't think that's gonna happen with.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: You, all right, man?
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: Yeah, Houston, Houston don't seem to be like a location
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: man tonight.
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: We have the Knicks and the seventy six ers.
- 1:09:16Speaker 11: The Knicks have a three to one lead, the Magic
- 1:09:18Speaker 11: and Cavaliers if y'all are tied to two too, and
- 1:09:22Speaker 11: we have the Pacers and the Bucks and the Pacers
- 1:09:25Speaker 11: have a three one. Have you noticed I'm not even
- 1:09:27Speaker 11: concerned about the Cavaliers here?
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: Have you noticed that? Yeah? Well why is that?
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Well, you know I've learned over the years. Man, I'm
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: not gonna sit up in here and whush upon the stop.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I'm wushing the star.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: That's your part.
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: Yeah, we're not going, well you are, I'm not going
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: to do that, man.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: And then and then they don't win, and now I'm
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: wanting something that they don't want, which is I just
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: don't see that anymore.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't even in the playoffs, so I know
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: how you feel.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: I don't even know, which once again leads me to
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: why with Lebron want to come down?
- 1:10:08Speaker 22: He play off with the Lakers? Yeah, why would he
- 1:10:12Speaker 22: go to Houston and for show don't be in the playoff?
- 1:10:15Speaker 22: He ain't gonna be in the playoffs on the paper
- 1:10:17Speaker 22: if he go.
- 1:10:18Speaker 11: To well, we're gonna see un man. That just I
- 1:10:21Speaker 11: just hope he's opped out and come on down. And
- 1:10:23Speaker 11: he said this, I can wish for my team to
- 1:10:25Speaker 11: have a superstar like Lebron James.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: That's all chance, all right, that's okay.
- 1:10:28Speaker 13: Junior coming up at the top of the hour, a
- 1:10:31Speaker 13: woman on social media needs some advice, Steve. She says,
- 1:10:34Speaker 13: my friends are in a group chat without me. We'll
- 1:10:37Speaker 13: talk about it right after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:10:44Speaker 13: Navilla Steve on Steve Harvey FM Rights. I just learned
- 1:10:47Speaker 13: that a bunch of my friends are in a group
- 1:10:49Speaker 13: chat that I'm not included in. Some of the Some
- 1:10:52Speaker 13: of these people have been my friends for years, and
- 1:10:54Speaker 13: I actually introduced a few of them. I can't help
- 1:10:58Speaker 13: but think that this is something about how they feel
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: about me, and what should I do about it?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Confront them?
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: Duh?
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: Everybody in the group chat with you. Ain't nobody said, man,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: where's she at?
- 1:11:12Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Now, ain't nobody called you and said, hey baby, how
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: come baby? Why you ain't on a group chat?
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: Sylvia? Nil on here?
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so she needs to say something.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: No, you get the message. Sometimes you gotta find out
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: that people are seasonal. Everybody has seasonal people.
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: You just got to understand that very few people are
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: ain't your life el very few, very few, and if
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: you get their man treasure because they hard. Yeah, it's
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: very few. You could ride or die no matter what.
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: If you ever meet one.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Hang on tours, shout out to Ricardo, prove marblings marble
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: Manny Calhoun as you rid, Yeah, six sixty two years

- 1:12:14Speaker 6: we all grew up together, so we all knew each
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: other's birthday.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Maddy Cat Holmes's birthday is February twelfth. Butch Cow's Butch
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: married a birthday is February first. My birthday is seventeenth.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Al's birthday is December twenty first. Ricardo birthday is September thirteen.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: Jeff Gel's birthday of January thirteenth.
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: We all know it.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: What's your nephew's birthday?
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: December twenty thirday?
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: What's your nephew Tommy's birthday? You know who I'm talking about.
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: He's not in the group chat, your nephew, but he not.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: In the group because he didn't grow up with if
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: he was ten years younger, so he wasn't in the
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: group chat.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: So do you have a group chat for your family?
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: It's my blood family. Yes, No, I don't respond to
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: none of.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: You know, do you know our birthdays?
- 1:13:13Speaker 8: Do you know that.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: He knows Tommy? You know what month Tommy was born in?
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: I know tommy birthday? Okay, what is it you?
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: Okay?
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Okay, good jem good because it's coming up.
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: This is I just looked it up. Where Why would
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: I look it up at Google birthday? You google Tommy birthday.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: I don't even I don't Google.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: No, you can look on Facebook for people's.
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: Birthday and I ain't ever, I can't even say. I mean,
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: I'll be googling how much you work? How much is
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: I worth?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Let's am I?
- 1:13:55Speaker 6: It changes? Yeah it I've looked it up to what
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: is I worth?
- 1:14:00Speaker 15: What?
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: Right now? They seem.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: The last time I looked through was eighty five?
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: Eighty five?
- 1:14:09Speaker 13: Yeah, as of March nineteenth, twenty twenty four, you're worth
- 1:14:13Speaker 13: two hundred million?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: What God, let me hold some and he knows your
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: birthday next year?
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: That's what it looks.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: What's that look for, Steve?
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: What does what look for?
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I said, what does your look on the look on
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: your face?
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: What does that mean?
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: What is that for? I mean they said, they say
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: a lot of stuff on goop, so that's I know
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: exactly what I'm working.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: So yeah, is it accurate? Is it close?
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: For example, like they'll post your your own like they
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: was doing game show hosts a couple of weeks ago
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: and they listed how.
- 1:14:54Speaker 6: Much all the games show hosts and I saw that
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: and so.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: But but they don't include they don't talk about your
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: businesses and stuff because when you have business, this is
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: on a different tax.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: For okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: Put on your personal it's different from your tea.
- 1:15:12Speaker 13: Either way, you're doing great. Okay, you're gonna You're gonna
- 1:15:16Speaker 13: be somebody, And all right, we'll have more of Jesus,
- 1:15:21Speaker 13: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:15:24Speaker 13: up at twenty minutes after right after.
- 1:15:26Speaker 9: This, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:31Speaker 13: All right, So guys, we know that prom season is
- 1:15:33Speaker 13: wrapping up. In the class of twenty twenty four, graduating
- 1:15:36Speaker 13: seniors or counting down the days until graduation.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Some kids are ready for senior skip day.
- 1:15:42Speaker 13: So here is the question, how many times did you
- 1:15:45Speaker 13: skip school when you were a high school when you
- 1:15:48Speaker 13: were in high school a high school student, and what
- 1:15:51Speaker 13: did you do with your day? Was it always to
- 1:15:54Speaker 13: do something fun or what did you do if you
- 1:15:57Speaker 13: skipped school in high school?
- 1:15:58Speaker 6: I'm not in that once cut class.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I never cut class, Steve, you're quiet over there.
- 1:16:06Speaker 6: See I went every day, though, had I went every.
- 1:16:12Speaker 17: Day even your senior year, senior skip day, you went?
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: Yeah, oh, well you know that that was really a holiday.
- 1:16:19Speaker 6: Everybody did that.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Well, that's what we're talking about.
- 1:16:21Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so I really didn't cut school too much. But
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: when I did, it was because I was down at dippy.
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: Place, your dippy.
- 1:16:33Speaker 13: Oh so you went, so you skipped school to go
- 1:16:37Speaker 13: get some wing for some chicken wings for a dollar.
- 1:16:44Speaker 6: Yeah, wing was though I did skip practice go home
- 1:16:49Speaker 6: with a little girl. Though I did do that. Her
- 1:16:52Speaker 6: daddy called us. God. I had perfect attendance a lot
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: of time.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Oh good, that's great.
- 1:16:58Speaker 13: Yeah, you make it to work every day too, All right,
- 1:17:02Speaker 13: coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour learning
- 1:17:06Speaker 13: play another round?
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Figure it out?
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: We know you don't show.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Would you rather? Right after this, you're listening morning show
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: and it's time now for a round? Would you rather?
- 1:17:21Speaker 13: Would you rather work as a bouncer at a strip
- 1:17:23Speaker 13: club or would you rather be a personal security guide
- 1:17:26Speaker 13: to a guard to a high maintenance celebrity, a bouncer
- 1:17:31Speaker 13: at a strip club, or a personal security guards.
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: I just can't. I just can't do all that naked
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: all the time like that.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: That just what that's too much you okay, couldn't be
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: the bouncer, you could filling all well.
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: We're gonna be bouncing, but it is I ain't gonna
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: be protecting nothing.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Okay, I know if you're feeling okay, Oh, I'm right
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: junior bounce club.
- 1:17:59Speaker 11: Yes, security guard for uncle. Now now my ass is
- 1:18:05Speaker 11: at the club. Come on, oh strange off, got the
- 1:18:09Speaker 11: wand in my hand.
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: Yes see.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna be the security guy for the for yourself, yeah,
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: that's what I do anyway, all right?
- 1:18:27Speaker 13: Would you rather be followed everywhere by someone playing a
- 1:18:30Speaker 13: flute or surprised at any given moment by someone playing
- 1:18:34Speaker 13: a tuba?
- 1:18:37Speaker 14: Just come around the corner with a to just baby,
- 1:18:43Speaker 14: Oh no, I had that little well.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: Your nerves all.
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: Come on, surprise me with that tuba?
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Yeah all right?
- 1:19:01Speaker 6: Would you rather be flute? Got a gift with my nurse?
- 1:19:04Speaker 15: Then?
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: Would everywhere? Would you rather have a hook for a
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: hand or a peg for a leg?
- 1:19:13Speaker 14: Off the get out of here. We got to I
- 1:19:20Speaker 14: put all my suits as must and when I'm in trouble,
- 1:19:26Speaker 14: I can put that hook on your hands.
- 1:19:28Speaker 6: We're here on hook. You know how many people are
- 1:19:32Speaker 6: slapping with that hook? I will slap the hook? Got you?
- 1:19:38Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:19:39Speaker 6: The hook?
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Last one, guys, last one.
- 1:19:43Speaker 13: Would you rather be seated next to a couple who
- 1:19:45Speaker 13: is fighting on an airplane? Or would you rather be
- 1:19:48Speaker 13: seated next to a baby crying? Now, I'm gonna take
- 1:19:52Speaker 13: that fight the couple couple fighting for baby.
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: Because at least it's interesting. We didn't write jokes off that. Now.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: No, man, God, dog man, what she just said? Oh
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: you know you can analyze what's going on.
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: Damn dog. You ain't gonna say nothing nothing.
- 1:20:12Speaker 12: Crying?
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: You got it?
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: Your baby crying is too much because you got it. Yeah,
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: I'm I'm always sympathetic towards people. I am because I
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: know they do they be agonized. Yeah, but the baby
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: don't really bother me because I'll close you out. I
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: didn't pay no tension with my own kids.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: That's today's rockton.
- 1:20:31Speaker 13: Would you rather well ended right there sewing up at
- 1:20:34Speaker 13: forty nine minutes after our last break of the day,
- 1:20:36Speaker 13: and we'll close.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Out the show with the Man, the Myth, the Legend,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvey.
- 1:20:42Speaker 9: Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: All right, Steve.
- 1:20:47Speaker 13: Here we are last break of the day. Before we
- 1:20:49Speaker 13: get to our closing remarks, we do have a voicemail
- 1:20:52Speaker 13: from one of our listeners. This one's from Virginia.
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: For being a blessing and a positive model. I listen
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: to you every morning before I enter work, and I
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: work in the school system here in me for News Virginia,
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: and I just thank you for being so positive and
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: making my day and making me know that, Yes, prayer
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: changes things and God is in control. Steve, it doesn't work,
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: so keep on saying that, keep on telling us that,
- 1:21:22Speaker 7: and God bless you. Steve. I think you're just a wonderful,
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: uh role model of what a man should be. Thank you.
- 1:21:31Speaker 7: My name is Laura and I'm calling from me for
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: News Virginia. We blessed thee. Thank you fine, thank you.
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, we've been dealing with a lot of that today
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: though this phone call. She had a good positive message. Yes, yes,
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: but you don't have a depression tone. Depression like you know,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: you know, like you know, you know, like if I
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: miss a day being that might be it. I'm just
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: saying no, I might just be thinking the other way. So,
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: you know, but it's been a lot on this show
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: today with Junior and everything. I think people don't understand
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: how much of a family unit we really are on
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: this show and a bit dysfunctional too, because I'm like
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: the daddy or the because I'm the oldest person on
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: the show, and you know, Junior is the youngest because
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: it's a ten year difference between each one of us.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: I'm ten years older than Tommy. Tommy is ten years
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: older than Junior, but the gap is like fifty years.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: See what I know it's such a large gap because
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: when Tommy be looking upside his head, that's when I
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: know the gap for me being ten years older than Tommy,
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: Tommy ten years older than Junior, and what part of
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: the Like Junior stepped off into a lot in his
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: life over the past two years. You know, he got
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: a new house, got new marriage, got a new family.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: He's a husband now, he's a father now, and a
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: grandfather all the day after the marriage. And you know,
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: that's a tough situation to put anybody in, but watching
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: him deal with it every day has been a real
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: blessing because it has given us so many hard, hard,
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: laughing ass moments watching him struggle in every aspect of marriage.
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: It's just been like, really, these are my closing remark, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: this is how I know I'm all right, because and
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: that's how I know.
- 1:23:37Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: But you know, now, I don't need no music because
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: you know, sometimes you got to look at somebody else's
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: life to figure out if yours is all right or not.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: And I've learned through Junior that I'm really doing just
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: fine it out too, and whatever's wrong with me.
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: At least it ain't that, you know.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: And just basically I'm just watching this young man probably
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: developed coping skills on the run, and this is what
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: I have learned.
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: Oh look right there, do you see all that hapen?
- 1:24:07Speaker 6: To watch it? Quit holding your head down, j.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I'm just making it to the end of this show.
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: Anyway.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: Just watching or learn these coping skills on the run
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: has really shown me the life that I've had. And
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: you know, my father used to always tell me watch everybody, son,
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: because you can learn even from the person who makes mistakes.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: So Junior, I wanted to take the time out to
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: say thank you today because I have learned a bit
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: from you, and I hope that you've learned. Yes, Tommy,
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: what can you just throw this is probably a good
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: closing remark. What can you say to people like like Junior,
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: heres is a little different, that's approaching a getting ready
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: to go into a blended family like Junior did. Well,
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: let me tell you this right here, of all the
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: people I know that I've talked to that have blended families,
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: we always go into it with the highest aspirations. But
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: what you have to remember is that these blended families
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: are blended personalities, blended mindsets, blended ways of viewing it.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: And no matter how loving you try to be, everybody
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: is not always ready to receive that love. And then
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: some people come into it with different expectations other than others.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: And so I would recommend that you all get together
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: as we did. Our kids met, talked, they went bowling
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: in Memphis. You know, we sat down and nothing we
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: did prepare us for what was to come. Because life
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: is a series of unexpected events and happenings. And that's
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: what makes life so special and so precious because it's
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: not scripted. Script don't come with this marriage is not scripted.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Marriage is just marriage, and it's not scripted. And quit
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: looking up the street at the neighbors and how they
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: look happy. You don't know what's going on. When that
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: dog close, you don't know what's going on. People have
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: so many different facades and masks that they wear to
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: create the illusion for the public. But what's going on
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: behind closed doors? I was watching on Instagram the other day.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: This guy had come home with her, had his lunch
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: box in his hand, and he was he was about
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: to open up the back door and he heard his
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: wife in there talking on the phone, and he was
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: coming home, she said, she said, and it's just getting worse.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: I am so sick of him, and I just don't
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: see it. He don't do half the stuff. I am
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: sick of him. And the guy just turned around and
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: walked away, And the caption said, kings, remember control your anger.
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: Just walk away.
