- 2:11Speaker 1: is God? Think about it? Just take a slight inventory
- 2:14Speaker 1: of your own life and say it to yourself when
- 2:16Speaker 1: you get through, How good is God? Think of all
- 2:20Speaker 1: the small things, all this because that's him. You breathe
- 2:23Speaker 1: as him, You still him. That's him, You got another chance,
- 2:29Speaker 1: that's him. You ain't out of here. That's him. You
- 2:32Speaker 1: got any measure of health. That's him. You think it's
- 2:36Speaker 1: more to it than it really is, that it already
- 2:38Speaker 1: showed up to be. That's him. All of that you
- 2:41Speaker 1: got any dreams of aspirations, you dream of other things.
- 2:45Speaker 1: That's him all that, that's him. That's him him. Close
- 2:49Speaker 1: you got that's him every time you eat. That's why
- 2:52Speaker 1: they had this thing called you say your grace. That's him.
- 2:55Speaker 1: That's him, man, that's him. It's amazing when you take
- 2:58Speaker 1: a small inventory how you find out how big God
- 3:01Speaker 1: really is in your life. Now, the more you turn
- 3:03Speaker 1: yourself over to him, the bigger he can be. For you. See,
- 3:06Speaker 1: he'll only be as big as you let him. It's
- 3:09Speaker 1: one thing about God. Now, he's a gentleman. He can
- 3:12Speaker 1: make you do anything. You know, you get too big
- 3:17Speaker 1: for him. You know you you you you, You lose
- 3:20Speaker 1: your humbleness, he can humble you. Now. God created man
- 3:26Speaker 1: with the power of choice. We're the only creature he
- 3:30Speaker 1: created that. He gave us the total power of choice
- 3:33Speaker 1: when we made who we made with you know everything,
- 3:37Speaker 1: all of it. Man. It's the choice what we want
- 3:41Speaker 1: to be, how much you want to make, Where we
- 3:42Speaker 1: want to live, what climate we want to live in.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We can live in cold climates, hot climates. You know,
- 3:47Speaker 1: we speak different languages. You can go learn another language.
- 3:52Speaker 1: A bear can't do nothing but be a board is.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He can't go learn how to be a fox. He
- 4:00Speaker 1: can't go learn how to be an artor. He just
- 4:03Speaker 1: can't an ostriches and ostrich man. He can't come out
- 4:06Speaker 1: of here and fight like a lion. A lion is
- 4:09Speaker 1: a lion. A lion eat meat. He can't eat vegetables.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I don't care how much meat ain't around. He'll lay
- 4:15Speaker 1: down and pull up out of here and die because
- 4:17Speaker 1: he can't eat grass. He's just a lion. Man. You
- 4:21Speaker 1: understand this that God gave us. We are the one
- 4:25Speaker 1: creature he created that has total power of choice. You
- 4:28Speaker 1: can make every decision in your life. What kind of
- 4:31Speaker 1: what you like? That's the one you can buy. You
- 4:35Speaker 1: want to live in Switzerland, go ahead. You don't like Switzerland,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you can move to Miami. You want to live your
- 4:43Speaker 1: life a crime, go ahead, that's you. He gave you
- 4:46Speaker 1: the power of choice. You want to do right? Come on,
- 4:51Speaker 1: So now look at this thing. We are all the
- 4:56Speaker 1: results of a of a series of dece acisions that
- 5:01Speaker 1: we have made. If we could just identify that the
- 5:05Speaker 1: problem is us, we could begin the solution. See that's
- 5:11Speaker 1: the problem, y'all, it's us. It's what we do. I
- 5:16Speaker 1: threw my life down the hill. I can't tell you
- 5:19Speaker 1: how many years based on some decisions that I was making.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Now I can justify my decision where I wasn't happy
- 5:25Speaker 1: and I was doing this and I was in misery,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and y'all on the yes to you when you get through.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You made the decisions though, and you can look at
- 5:33Speaker 1: this anywhere you want to, y'all. But at the end
- 5:35Speaker 1: of the day, I'm just talking to people that's really
- 5:37Speaker 1: really wanting to improve their position in life. And how
- 5:42Speaker 1: do you do that? You gotta have a solution. How
- 5:46Speaker 1: do you come up with a solution? You got to
- 5:48Speaker 1: identify the problem to even begin to solve it. But
- 5:55Speaker 1: if the problem ain't ever you, how are you gonna
- 5:59Speaker 1: solve something it ain't you? See, Okay, let me look
- 6:05Speaker 1: at this one. If somebody says, like I got a
- 6:09Speaker 1: child of mine, man, I just do right here, Man,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I don't E won't get into it this morning, or
- 6:14Speaker 1: I'm struggling with this this boy. But man, you go
- 6:18Speaker 1: to people, you're asking why they do so? I just
- 6:21Speaker 1: I just wasn't taking care of business. Why I just
- 6:26Speaker 1: didn't take care of business? Boy? Do you understand that
- 6:29Speaker 1: your life is gonna be filled with You got to
- 6:31Speaker 1: take care of business. So when you're gonna start, you know, man,
- 6:36Speaker 1: you can't you can't. You can't go through life blaming everybody.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It's got to be you. See, you can fix you.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You can't fix nobody else if you keep getting married
- 6:46Speaker 1: and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello? Could it
- 6:50Speaker 1: be you? South only had to sit down and just
- 6:54Speaker 1: make that decision. They don't need me coming on the
- 6:57Speaker 1: radio talking about nobody else and what they did to me.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Y'all just don't know, no, no, no, man, what about
- 7:03Speaker 1: the part you played in it? Because see, if you
- 7:05Speaker 1: got a good marriage, you got a part to play
- 7:07Speaker 1: in that. If you got a bad one, you got
- 7:09Speaker 1: a part to play in that. Even if you just
- 7:13Speaker 1: get down to you the one picked them? How about that? Mr? Mr?
- 7:17Speaker 1: I made a decision. So you know, man, once you
- 7:21Speaker 1: can I start identifying the problem, you can get on
- 7:24Speaker 1: with the solution. The problem is usually within yourself. Do
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know That's the quickest, an easy way to fix
- 7:30Speaker 1: your life. Fix yourself that way. You ain't got to
- 7:34Speaker 1: check with nobody. Here's the beauty of going on and
- 7:37Speaker 1: admitting that is you. You don't have to check or
- 7:41Speaker 1: clear with nobody to start the repair process. You don't
- 7:46Speaker 1: need anybody's permission. You ain't gotta put it before the
- 7:49Speaker 1: review board to see if it will pass. It ain't
- 7:52Speaker 1: got to go through Congress. You ain't gotta hope that
- 7:54Speaker 1: your local politicians get their hands on it and make
- 7:57Speaker 1: a phone call for you. You ain't gotta ask any
- 8:00Speaker 1: so just to come in and say with you. You
- 8:01Speaker 1: don't have to check in the rehab. All you got
- 8:04Speaker 1: to do is decide the problem is me. I'm gonna
- 8:08Speaker 1: start changing me. Identify the problem and start with the
- 8:15Speaker 1: part that you can own up to. Man, that's the deal,
- 8:25Speaker 1: y'all it really is, and see you when you Once
- 8:30Speaker 1: you identify the problem, then all you gotta do is
- 8:33Speaker 1: start to plan it. Once you identify the problem, you
- 8:39Speaker 1: can start planning on how to fix it or how
- 8:41Speaker 1: to get to accomplishing something. But remember this planning is important.
- 8:46Speaker 1: If you failed to plan, then please plan to fail.
- 8:52Speaker 1: If you failed to plan, then guess what. Please plan
- 8:58Speaker 1: to fail the It cannot go any other way. If
- 9:03Speaker 1: you don't know how to make a plan, Let's just
- 9:05Speaker 1: start with the basics. Just make a list of what
- 9:08Speaker 1: you want if you don't know how to make a plan,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I bet you know how to make a list of
- 9:13Speaker 1: things you want. Make this list and then go to
- 9:18Speaker 1: God in prayer with an open mind and open your
- 9:23Speaker 1: mind up to all the clean opportunities that are available here.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Why a lot of people won't succeed because certain opportunities
- 9:32Speaker 1: come along you don't want to do them. That kills me. Man,
- 9:36Speaker 1: when I hear here, I ain't doing that. I know
- 9:39Speaker 1: young comedians that come to me all the time talking
- 9:41Speaker 1: about man with you're not saying, man, just take every
- 9:43Speaker 1: gig you can, no matter what they pay. Well, listen
- 9:47Speaker 1: to me, son, you can go make that money that
- 9:50Speaker 1: they pay, or you can make the decision to sit
- 9:53Speaker 1: at home and make nobody. It's comedy, hard business. They
- 9:58Speaker 1: ain't paying. But a hundred dollar is you gotta drive,
- 10:01Speaker 1: drive fifty miles. But if you drive fifty miles and
- 10:04Speaker 1: you make the hundred and you stand on that stage
- 10:06Speaker 1: for thirty minutes, you are now thirty minutes better than
- 10:09Speaker 1: you was the last time you went on stage. Oh man, Man,
- 10:15Speaker 1: they don't pay me, I ain't coming. You ain't gonna
- 10:17Speaker 1: be a comedian, man, not not not not not like
- 10:20Speaker 1: this hell, a lot of people just don't want to
- 10:22Speaker 1: do what's necessary to do. So when the opportunity presents
- 10:26Speaker 1: itself and you open up your mind to it, man,
- 10:28Speaker 1: didn't get ready to go on and do it. Man,
- 10:31Speaker 1: you know so remember, come on, y'all, identify your problem today.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Identify your problem today, and start with the part of
- 10:43Speaker 1: it that you you can fix. You immediately identify your
- 10:50Speaker 1: problem today, start with the part dash you to that
- 11:00Speaker 1: is a gentleman. Here we are, the Steve Harvey Morning

- 13:59Speaker 1: this day, hole to you. I was looking at my
- 14:01Speaker 1: clothes hanging out a cross from next to the sink.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Well that's what you get out here. You get that
- 14:11Speaker 1: out dog. Let me tell you. So you had to
- 14:13Speaker 1: join a game, you'd probably be in dang Alright, listen,
- 14:18Speaker 1: we're gonna switch gears and get a little serious here.
- 14:22Speaker 1: We're gonna give you an update and Hurricane Florence. Then
- 14:25Speaker 1: the guys are gonna make us laugh all over again
- 14:27Speaker 1: with their comedy segment called People Who Scare Us. That's
- 14:31Speaker 1: all coming up at thirty two after the hour. Junior,
- 14:34Speaker 1: what's up, friend, he's a friend of mine. You're listening
- 14:42Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hurricane Florence is bringing in
- 14:48Speaker 1: heavy rain bands and damaging winds uh, causing storm surges,
- 14:53Speaker 1: river flooding, and tornadoes. Hurricane Florence will continue to bring
- 14:58Speaker 1: in the rain over the entire weekend. High winds and
- 15:00Speaker 1: flooding could not power out for several days. Right now,
- 15:04Speaker 1: they are over forty thousand additional utility workers from all

- 15:30Speaker 1: Miss and will be here. She'll have the latest on
- 15:32Speaker 1: Hurricane Florence. Is a Friday tracking that'll be at the
- 15:35Speaker 1: top of the hour. And uh wow, just you know,
- 15:39Speaker 1: we gotta keep praying for him. South tell you to lead, lead, evacuate. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: it's really it's not a request, you all know. You know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: it's mandatory. Yea, yeah, yeah. Well this storm is moving
- 15:54Speaker 1: so slow. Yeah, I mean, it's just sitting there. But
- 15:59Speaker 1: that same thing that happened in Harvey, wasn't it. Yea?
- 16:03Speaker 1: It came and he sat on the coast of texts
- 16:05Speaker 1: you did that and that just and that just did
- 16:08Speaker 1: it and just flooded here. Yeah it was you. Hurricane
- 16:14Speaker 1: Harvey hated that name. Yes, well, all right, guys, right
- 16:19Speaker 1: now it's time to have a little fun they go
- 16:21Speaker 1: down to the alphabetical order. They go down the line.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And they used to give hurricane's only women's names, and
- 16:28Speaker 1: they changed that opportunity. Once a hurricane does a bunch
- 16:33Speaker 1: of damage, they retired that name. Once it does real bad,
- 16:38Speaker 1: they don't use that name anymore. You've never had word changed, Timmy,
- 16:41Speaker 1: don't have you never? I don't think so. I'm not
- 16:46Speaker 1: sure they don't. They're not gonna do that because they
- 16:51Speaker 1: don't want they don't want to anger the hurricane. I'm stupid, Huh,
- 16:58Speaker 1: I can't be in the hurricane. They all right, guys,
- 17:04Speaker 1: let's switch gears. Time to they have a little fun.

- 17:14Speaker 1: can comment on This list? Is the list I put together.
- 17:17Speaker 1: People who just frighten me when you see them. They
- 17:19Speaker 1: haven't done anything you, but you see them, they're scared.
- 17:22Speaker 1: People who wear gloves for no reason. Card the other day,
- 17:30Speaker 1: just drive and you know it's for no reason. I mean,
- 17:33Speaker 1: why why do you have I mean like inside the
- 17:36Speaker 1: building and it's a hundred degrees outside a lot of
- 17:44Speaker 1: men who have tied backpacks. What's in that? Where are

- 20:39Speaker 1: sleeping you clothed it up. I got one really good
- 20:42Speaker 1: people who walk, but when they walk, their arms don't
- 20:45Speaker 1: swing back and forth. They're just coming at you like
- 20:51Speaker 1: children in the corn. They're walking over towards me. Ain't
- 20:58Speaker 1: swinging at all. Once you got people should care of
- 21:02Speaker 1: me that's been sitting there watching They dog for our
- 21:08Speaker 1: will lay on that mat. The dog ain't sleepy, busy,
- 21:12Speaker 1: then lick everything he got. He get up, he gonna
- 21:16Speaker 1: let him lick him in his mouth. Happens every day.

- 27:33Speaker 1: to anything you're saying. Oh, it's gonna be the lay
- 27:36Speaker 1: down night in the night. You ain't nobody gonna do
- 27:38Speaker 1: nothing to my baby. I mean, ain't nobody gonna do what?

- 28:06Speaker 1: go ahead. I said that you're listening. I'm listening to
- 28:09Speaker 1: this for work. Has well. Just what I want to
- 28:12Speaker 1: tell you. This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 28:16Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got pranked by your brother Eric
- 28:23Speaker 1: love that I put you up to this. I'm so
- 28:29Speaker 1: glad it's a joke because somebody was about to die.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I'm you all right, man, oh man, that's a good one.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You all right? Oh I need a drink? Man, Man? Yeah, Man, Hey,
- 28:45Speaker 1: I got one more thing. I gotta ask you, man,
- 28:47Speaker 1: what is the baddest radio show in the lake? Man?
- 28:50Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Y'all crazy? Okay? What I mean?
- 29:01Speaker 1: You know? Why do you ask us that every time?
- 29:03Speaker 1: I just like the aclades. I like the applause A
- 29:07Speaker 1: great for yeah, which I think if it sucks, we'll
- 29:13Speaker 1: tell you. Oh, I know you will and your counterpart.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Let me get started on that. And just to let
- 29:25Speaker 1: you know, Nashville, I'm working on it for you, Okay.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'm taking that step that leap into trying to be greatness.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I got seven shows sold out, but I'm trying to
- 29:37Speaker 1: figure out where to put that eighth one at all? Right,
- 29:40Speaker 1: it ain't that hard to figure out dogs three shows on?
- 29:43Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna figure out what day. But see,
- 29:44Speaker 1: I got one on Thursday. I'm thinking about doing putting
- 29:47Speaker 1: another one on Thirsty? Not good? Why I dated next day?
- 29:51Speaker 1: What about the first one? What's wrong with the first started?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Are you gonna calm dout of what you're gonna do? Well?
- 29:58Speaker 1: The show started? Hey, dog, who gonna won't come to
- 30:01Speaker 1: the show? But dog, it's a horrible Okay, go and
- 30:05Speaker 1: do the show. No angry. But as soon as I well,
- 30:13Speaker 1: can't you do the show? Because he already I'm trying
- 30:15Speaker 1: to stop you gotta we come back. I'll tell you
- 30:18Speaker 1: why you shouldn't do what you're gonna do it without Holly.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Get alright, And we also have entertainment news. Kevin Hurt
- 30:27Speaker 1: got to his baseball fans to us start talking about
- 30:30Speaker 1: his ceremonial first pitch. All that coming up right after this.
- 30:35Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 30:41Speaker 1: before we went to break, you wanted to give your
- 30:43Speaker 1: nephew Tommy some advice. We'll do it later. No, no,
- 30:47Speaker 1: you're gonna give it now. Hey, Shirley, you ain't about
- 30:51Speaker 1: You're doing one show on Thursday, you got two on
- 30:55Speaker 1: Fried said he got all these club dates in Nashville,
- 31:02Speaker 1: the same two on Sunday and two on Sunday. Now
- 31:07Speaker 1: you didn't add this Sunday. That's good they Okay, sir,
- 31:11Speaker 1: I'm trust trying to help. Okay, but can I can
- 31:14Speaker 1: I ask you just listen to me hear me. You're
- 31:17Speaker 1: saying that people on Thursday, if I do a second
- 31:21Speaker 1: show with what you said that earl, you don't cutting
- 31:24Speaker 1: me off. You said they're not gonna want to buy
- 31:26Speaker 1: no tickets because they got to go to work, right,
- 31:28Speaker 1: But what they did the same thing on Sunday. They
- 31:31Speaker 1: bought those tickets. The game been at work all day
- 31:34Speaker 1: on Sunday. Okay. See it's a science to this, it
- 31:38Speaker 1: really really is. First of all, the Thursday night crowd
- 31:41Speaker 1: is always a tough crowd, and the Friday night late
- 31:45Speaker 1: show is the worst crowd. You are right, because they've
- 31:49Speaker 1: been at work all day, they tied, they've been drinking.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Now here you come. The second show Friday is the
- 31:56Speaker 1: worst comedy audience in the day. If you do two
- 31:59Speaker 1: show holls on Thursday, you're gonna get the Friday crowd
- 32:03Speaker 1: twice because on Thursday they're gonna be not only are
- 32:07Speaker 1: they been at work all day and then drink and
- 32:10Speaker 1: didn't make the first show, then there on the second
- 32:12Speaker 1: show and they guts to go to work. My strong
- 32:16Speaker 1: suggestion is do three shows. What time does your show
- 32:21Speaker 1: on Saturday and congratulate. No, he's killing but let's go
- 32:25Speaker 1: to the next level. What do you know you showtime
- 32:28Speaker 1: saturd I'm I'm pulling it up right now. I don't
- 32:31Speaker 1: know the show eight and tien. Okay, let's say it Sat. Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 1: do a midnight show. Yeah. Oh jesus, it's not like
- 32:39Speaker 1: you're doing it for free time, jess. Okay, all right,
- 32:43Speaker 1: and then you'll be at work on Monday. Okay, so hard.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I didn't say that. I said do a third midnight show.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I'll say, Oh geez, we're moving on. We're moving on. Steve,
- 32:55Speaker 1: back in two thousand twelve, you threw out the first
- 32:58Speaker 1: ceremonial pitch at Chicago versus somebody remember that How'd you do?
- 33:04Speaker 1: How did you do? Asked the dude to call the ball.
- 33:07Speaker 1: He said, boy, he had a little pepper on this thing. Okay,
- 33:11Speaker 1: all way down now, Well did you see Kevin Hart?
- 33:15Speaker 1: He also threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field,
- 33:17Speaker 1: at the Cubz versus Milwaukee Brewers. It was a crucial game.
- 33:20Speaker 1: But when Kevin Hart took the mound, he looked like
- 33:23Speaker 1: he knew what he was doing. He was shaking off signs,
- 33:26Speaker 1: pasting the mound, stepping off every few seconds. Everything you'd
- 33:30Speaker 1: want out of a picture. Okay, Then he threw his pitch. Now,
- 33:35Speaker 1: according to Kevin, he pasted. He threw a two hundred
- 33:40Speaker 1: and seventy three miles per hour fastball. But I know, Junior,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Uh what did ice Cube tweet about Kevin's pitch? Qute?
- 33:51Speaker 1: I will have stole second, insert this slow, get the
- 34:00Speaker 1: ball to the plate, Kevin. We love you. You know
- 34:03Speaker 1: that Kevin is gonna be It really wasn't bad. He
- 34:06Speaker 1: just one hopped it in there. Was it better than
- 34:08Speaker 1: fifty cents? My sister and I promise you mona throw
- 34:18Speaker 1: this thing down now? All right again, we love you,
- 34:22Speaker 1: Kevin Hart. Kevin is going to be our special guests.
- 34:28Speaker 1: My left hand again, Kevin, I know with my left hand.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Special guest host on September. Lookout for Kevin Hart. Okay, now, Steve,
- 34:39Speaker 1: it's time to get um get the latest hurt. That's
- 34:41Speaker 1: what I think he handed in the wrong hand. I
- 34:45Speaker 1: just think he was so unathletic. He you know, with
- 34:48Speaker 1: hand he think Ladies and gentlemen, missay and trip, thanks guys. Okay,
- 34:54Speaker 1: this is and trip with the news. Of course, the
- 34:56Speaker 1: big news is Hurricane Florence, which is slamming into North Carolina.
- 34:59Speaker 1: It's a degory one, you say, a big big deal. No,
- 35:02Speaker 1: it's still very dangerous. It's packing at least one hundred
- 35:06Speaker 1: mile an hour winds. A Hurricane Florence began smacking the
- 35:08Speaker 1: waters just off the Carolina Virginia coast yesterday, but as
- 35:12Speaker 1: the Gholstein of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says,
- 35:15Speaker 1: they already knew that today would be the day. Track
- 35:18Speaker 1: has landfall near the North Carolina South Carolina border on Friday,
- 35:22Speaker 1: then slowing down and moving into northeastern South Carolina throughout
- 35:27Speaker 1: the day Saturday, when it will weake into a tropical storm.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Of course, asn't weaken yet. It's stuck, stalled really over
- 35:34Speaker 1: that part of North Carolina. There are so far three
- 35:36Speaker 1: hundred and sixty five thousand, six hundred and fifty nine
- 35:40Speaker 1: homes and businesses reported without power, three hundred and sixty
- 35:44Speaker 1: five thousand, six nine homes and businesses out of power.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Twenty three inches of rain already fallen in Atlantic Beach
- 35:51Speaker 1: in the Wilmington's area. Major routes throughout the outer Banks
- 35:54Speaker 1: in eastern North Carolina east of by Carter experiencing widespread
- 35:58Speaker 1: flooding very dangerous over Their conditions will only get worse
- 36:01Speaker 1: as the storm progresses through the state. Obviously, driving is
- 36:04Speaker 1: not advised through these areas, and hopefully many folks have
- 36:08Speaker 1: gotten out, but they say at least maybe two hundred
- 36:10Speaker 1: or three hundred people are still in their homes and
- 36:13Speaker 1: rescue operations are underway to get them out. September twenty
- 36:16Speaker 1: with me. While the anniversary of last year is her
- 36:18Speaker 1: came Maria, President Trump is praising his administration's response and
- 36:22Speaker 1: kind of angers many. Trump is calling his efforts in
- 36:24Speaker 1: Puerto Rico a quote incredible unsung success. I think in
- 36:27Speaker 1: a certain way, the best job we did was Puerto Rico,
- 36:30Speaker 1: but nobody would understand that. I mean, that's it's harder
- 36:33Speaker 1: to understand. It was a very hard, very hard thing
- 36:35Speaker 1: to do it because of the fact they had no
- 36:38Speaker 1: electric before the storm's hit. It was dead, as you
- 36:40Speaker 1: probably know. So, uh, we've gotten a lot of receptivity,
- 36:45Speaker 1: a lot of thanks for the job we've done in
- 36:46Speaker 1: Puerto Rico. Well, there's a lot of disagreement with that
- 36:49Speaker 1: death holl initially said to be about sixty. Recently that
- 36:51Speaker 1: number raised a close to three thousand. The President went
- 36:53Speaker 1: on Twitter yesterday to complain to the Democrats inflated the
- 36:56Speaker 1: number of casualties to embarrass him. Interestingly, how speak of
- 37:00Speaker 1: Paul Ryan disagrees with that. Casualties don't make a person
- 37:03Speaker 1: look bad, So I have no reason to dispute these numbers.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Rhodes were washed out, power was gone, and and the
- 37:09Speaker 1: casualties mounted for a long time, so I have no
- 37:13Speaker 1: reason to dispute those numbers. Trump is urging his supporters
- 37:16Speaker 1: to believe him that only sixteen eighteen people were reported
- 37:19Speaker 1: dead right after the storm. His administration's response to it,
- 37:21Speaker 1: he says, was quote the best in history. Finally, today's
- 37:26Speaker 1: National Quiet Day. You know what that means. That's right,
- 37:31Speaker 1: here's up, Steve Harvey. Nation find out of uncle Steve
- 37:33Speaker 1: is smart than his nephew. Will be back at twenty
- 37:35Speaker 1: minutes after the hour on a Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:37Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve
- 37:41Speaker 1: j is here to murder. Come on introduced him? Please?
- 37:45Speaker 1: J Anthony bro Can I say where I'm gonna be

- 38:06Speaker 1: Is it steal upstairs? No? No, it's down They got

- 38:13Speaker 1: shows Hateville. But I will whatever I do. I'll be
- 38:19Speaker 1: here Monday. Are you saying hate Bill? It's it's like
- 38:27Speaker 1: hate Bill. It sounds like hate It sounds like Hateville. Yeah,
- 38:31Speaker 1: I've never been there. And then on Tuesday, I'll be

- 38:38Speaker 1: I'll be there when they get them shut it. What
- 38:43Speaker 1: they're good? It'll be dam Are they good or what?
- 38:47Speaker 1: It'll be better. It might not come when you want
- 38:50Speaker 1: them to damnit. They right on time. All right, let
- 38:52Speaker 1: me go with my song. This song is caught it
- 38:55Speaker 1: Be's song. I took it and did this with it.

- 39:31Speaker 1: when she does her sexy day. Call him thick chicken
- 39:34Speaker 1: meat and sweet rolling on it. Good eating belly, diet beat.
- 39:38Speaker 1: This extra stomach keeps me heating. I'm on the seat too,
- 39:41Speaker 1: not on my knee. Her ways too heavy for me.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I take her eating as much as I can, eating

- 41:08Speaker 1: to the Red Cross. You can give ten dollars by
- 41:11Speaker 1: texting Florence to nine zero. Again, you can give ten
- 41:16Speaker 1: dollars by texting the word Florence to nine zero nine
- 41:21Speaker 1: nine nine. Every bit helps and your help is needed
- 41:25Speaker 1: right now. And thank you for your donations. So transitioning,
- 41:29Speaker 1: Are you guys ready to have some fun. Now it
- 41:31Speaker 1: is time to play. Are you smarter the nephew Tommy?
- 41:38Speaker 1: I have waited. I think Tommy can get a win here.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Because a sudden I've turned into not team Tommy, but
- 41:45Speaker 1: at least I'm pulling. Okay, Well, what is it, Steve?
- 41:50Speaker 1: Say it to Yeah, but I am team Tommy so
- 41:56Speaker 1: that you know you know how to. But you set
- 42:02Speaker 1: this up, you know how. It's not gonna work like
- 42:06Speaker 1: you thought it gonna work out because I am the president.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Let's go hit it. Questions here we go. Who wrote
- 42:14Speaker 1: the book? How did daka Succadam? Dave is one of
- 42:21Speaker 1: the Morning Show's engineers. What is Dave's last name? What
- 42:26Speaker 1: does a meteorologist study in? What city is the iconic
- 42:33Speaker 1: Apollo Theater? Blame this phrase when it rains it? What
- 42:45Speaker 1: is what is Dwyane Wade's Wife's name? I know what
- 42:48Speaker 1: I know? What I know? What I know is Beyonce's
- 42:52Speaker 1: fans called behind? What city is the Star Doom Comedy Club?
- 43:04Speaker 1: What does the acronym U s p S stand for
- 43:10Speaker 1: The States Postal Service? Uh? If you mix red and white,
- 43:14Speaker 1: what color does it make you? Oh? My god? Alright,
- 43:33Speaker 1: come on store keeper, alright, Yeah, Tommy got one wrong,
- 43:41Speaker 1: and then they both missed. So asked the questions again,
- 43:44Speaker 1: and here we go with the questions. Who wrote the
- 43:46Speaker 1: book How to Duck a Sucker? They both didn't know it.
- 43:49Speaker 1: That book was written by the world famous author Boomerang,
- 43:53Speaker 1: Big Boom. That's right, all right, Dave is one of
- 43:56Speaker 1: the Morning shows engineers. What is Dave's last name? The
- 44:01Speaker 1: meeting that would behind that behind? What does the meteorologist study? Jay?
- 44:10Speaker 1: And what city is the iconic Apollo Theater? Really? Jay?
- 44:17Speaker 1: New York? You said new York? Harlan hallm don't Hallom?
- 44:22Speaker 1: Don't like when you call him new York? Complete this phrase?
- 44:25Speaker 1: When it rains it poors? Janaking his time, so or
- 44:30Speaker 1: he was actually asking questions. What is Duane Wade's wife's name?
- 44:38Speaker 1: I know that. What are Beyonce's fans called the Bee House? Yeah?
- 44:50Speaker 1: And what city is the Start John Comedy Club? You
- 44:53Speaker 1: didn't know that, Jay? Really Burma? What does the acronym
- 44:58Speaker 1: USPS stand for United States Postal? And if you mix
- 45:02Speaker 1: red and white, what color does it make think? Tommy? Tommy?
- 45:09Speaker 1: Jay got none? They missed one, But I was trying, though,
- 45:18Speaker 1: Steve you're the worst. Congratulations to one. I really don't
- 45:26Speaker 1: know how to take that, but he's team Tommy. Just
- 45:29Speaker 1: take it like that. He's I told you all right.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 45:39Speaker 1: four minutes after today's strawberry letter. But when we come back,
- 45:42Speaker 1: it's the prank phone call from the nephew Frank. Right
- 45:48Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 45:55Speaker 1: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today, the
- 45:58Speaker 1: subject I'm grown and still having daddy issues. Not what
- 46:03Speaker 1: you think though, but right now it is time for
- 46:05Speaker 1: the King of pranks to step in here with today's
- 46:07Speaker 1: praying phone call. What you got now? It happens every
- 46:10Speaker 1: now and then, when you're getting ready to start school.
- 46:12Speaker 1: It happens your baby going back to pre k. Okay,
- 46:15Speaker 1: going back to pre k. I'm sorry, back to kindergarten.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Here we go. Yes, I'm trying to reach Ms Thomas. Please.
- 46:26Speaker 1: My name is Mr Stapleton. I'm actually the principal over
- 46:29Speaker 1: at elementary school. You're I'm looking at my records indicating
- 46:33Speaker 1: that your son Thomas is going to be starting his
- 46:36Speaker 1: first grade is ready, right, listen, Ms Thomas Um, I've
- 46:42Speaker 1: been going through actually all of the children's records that
- 46:45Speaker 1: will be starting school, and I'm looking at your son's
- 46:49Speaker 1: grades from his kindergarten. Well, no, not exactly. I mean
- 46:55Speaker 1: there's been a few. Uh. I actually spoke with the
- 46:58Speaker 1: teacher and who he is under in kindergarten, and it
- 47:02Speaker 1: seems like he just really wasn't up to par as
- 47:04Speaker 1: the rest of the children. I now his conduct. Now,
- 47:08Speaker 1: he talked, but he gets his work. So what else
- 47:11Speaker 1: is is she's saying on that that ain't right? Well,
- 47:13Speaker 1: what what's what it seems to be, ma'am is that
- 47:16Speaker 1: his grades weren't up to par as the rest of
- 47:18Speaker 1: the other children. She did tell me he was a
- 47:20Speaker 1: disobedient child. No, he disobedient and talking two different things.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Come on, Okay, well man, listen, what we've decided here
- 47:27Speaker 1: is we're gonna let a little actually do another year
- 47:31Speaker 1: of kindergarten. No, y'all ain't gonna let him do another
- 47:34Speaker 1: year of kindergarten. No, sun man, that's that's the only
- 47:37Speaker 1: choice I have a uh No, we got our letter
- 47:41Speaker 1: in the mail with our report card the week after
- 47:44Speaker 1: school started and it said on the back promoted. And
- 47:48Speaker 1: if I got to get about this couch and go
- 47:50Speaker 1: get it, I'm gonna be because I'm telling you right
- 47:53Speaker 1: now we will be in the first grade kindergarten when
- 47:56Speaker 1: that hard. I'm not sure what they told you about him,
- 47:59Speaker 1: but it must be the wrong. Well, if I understanding,
- 48:03Speaker 1: he's he doesn't color as well as the arrested kids.
- 48:05Speaker 1: He's all he's out of lines when he color. He
- 48:08Speaker 1: doesn't know his numbers completely. And that's kind of what
- 48:11Speaker 1: we need when you first come into into the first grade.
- 48:15Speaker 1: When I can show you on this paper he did
- 48:17Speaker 1: satisfactory all the way through. Now you're about to me off,
- 48:20Speaker 1: and I'm already sick calling me with some about my
- 48:23Speaker 1: son blank kindergarden. He that kind of he does not
- 48:27Speaker 1: color well, man, color ain't gonna do with the dad
- 48:30Speaker 1: guard kindergarden. He is going to the first grade and
- 48:33Speaker 1: I'll be down there on August four. No, I will
- 48:36Speaker 1: not be able to allow you to get in the
- 48:38Speaker 1: school August. I'm sorry. Uh, And let me get let's
- 48:42Speaker 1: tell you what. Let me go and get my pens
- 48:44Speaker 1: and pen because I don't live that far from this school.
- 48:46Speaker 1: And if y'all an't read it down. They're causing some comfort.
- 48:49Speaker 1: I need to get up and go down there, because
- 48:50Speaker 1: I'm not telling my baby when he come home the
- 48:52Speaker 1: day that he ain't going to the day come first. Man.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to
- 48:56Speaker 1: refuse education from him on. You know what, I just
- 49:00Speaker 1: went back and put him in public school. I know
- 49:01Speaker 1: there was a stake in the first place. Food which
- 49:04Speaker 1: you're talking about some coloring. Give me your name again,
- 49:06Speaker 1: sir Stapleton. Man, And what's that number down there? The
- 49:10Speaker 1: number here is actually area code. Waitmen, I got the
- 49:14Speaker 1: number numb mind. I pulled up this report card. I
- 49:16Speaker 1: got the number in your name on the back of
- 49:17Speaker 1: this paper. I'll tell you what. I was tournting fourth
- 49:19Speaker 1: whell be coming in there, going to school, and I
- 49:22Speaker 1: might make a trip around that this evening when I
- 49:24Speaker 1: come from the doctor. I'm not want to hear that
- 49:28Speaker 1: Colin ain't got nothing to do with nothing else. It's
- 49:31Speaker 1: not only color. Here's a rhythmet tickets back. Are you
- 49:35Speaker 1: working with him at home? Are you're doing anything at home?
- 49:39Speaker 1: What you're trying to say, I'm an incompetent parent. I'm
- 49:41Speaker 1: just asking as a parent, are you working with your child?
- 49:44Speaker 1: Working with my child every day he can read better
- 49:46Speaker 1: than you. Probably, no, he can't read. Can't read better
- 49:49Speaker 1: than you, because obviously you read that role on that
- 49:51Speaker 1: paper that he's supposed to be going back to kindergarten
- 49:54Speaker 1: when I know the paper saying from it going to
- 49:56Speaker 1: the first grade. And I'm not listening to no more
- 49:59Speaker 1: this about him going backwards. Now, if you got a
- 50:02Speaker 1: problem with your paper work, maybe you need to go
- 50:05Speaker 1: talk to your secretary of somebody in there that wrote
- 50:08Speaker 1: my baby name down, your son's name Thomas, ma'am, No,
- 50:12Speaker 1: it ain't him, baby, I know it ain't him. You're
- 50:14Speaker 1: not gonna sit up and tell me my son is
- 50:16Speaker 1: fucking kindergarden. He is not going back to that kindergarden.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Don't bring your son down here, do you hear I
- 50:22Speaker 1: call you once? Be ready to me and my husband,
- 50:25Speaker 1: But we will be down the back shoes uniform everything
- 50:30Speaker 1: you hear me, I will not be able to allow
- 50:31Speaker 1: him and education right now. I would come down there
- 50:34Speaker 1: right now and make that correction on that paper for
- 50:36Speaker 1: your baby is not going back to no kindergarten for
- 50:40Speaker 1: no coloring. Can you bring him down here and let
- 50:42Speaker 1: him color from me. I can you tell my color
- 50:44Speaker 1: in the rim and taking all themselves? No, uh no,
- 50:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Uh we will be down there obvious. Four.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I would have this poor card in my head that
- 50:54Speaker 1: says you have been promoted to the first brother, that
- 50:56Speaker 1: he's gonna have a mile on his face, and so
- 50:58Speaker 1: are you. I got one more thing to tell you.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? I'm listening. You ain't saying nothing. Yeah,
- 51:04Speaker 1: you better say something that sounds like the first glade
- 51:06Speaker 1: because I'm not playing. I would go down to this
- 51:08Speaker 1: dad on the administrative office, and I had because my
- 51:11Speaker 1: son would be in that first glade. Are you raising
- 51:14Speaker 1: your voice? Who are you raising your voice? You talking
- 51:17Speaker 1: crazy to me? I'm craising that is what I'm a
- 51:20Speaker 1: ground woman. I don't need to be as friend to you.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Why I'm trying to Did you graduate? Honey? I am
- 51:26Speaker 1: a college degree person. I have a great job. My
- 51:29Speaker 1: husband and I do well for ourselves and for our children.
- 51:32Speaker 1: And that's why we're not You're not even if you're
- 51:33Speaker 1: not even at work right now. Man, I'm shack fool.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I told you that when you call here right on
- 51:38Speaker 1: the doctor to call me now, partner missing my phone call?
- 51:41Speaker 1: Can you color because your son can't color? Question that?
- 51:46Speaker 1: Ask me? Can I color you white and black? Y?
- 51:49Speaker 1: Ask me less me on my color? No, I ask you?
- 51:52Speaker 1: Can you color like some racist lines? And that can
- 51:55Speaker 1: you color? No? M my coloring in me bed car?
- 52:00Speaker 1: That I ain't got nothing to do with none of this.
- 52:01Speaker 1: It's just a race thing. He's trying to make sure
- 52:04Speaker 1: you send him back. No, I'm not trying to send
- 52:06Speaker 1: him back. I want to send him back to color
- 52:08Speaker 1: to get his coloring together. What that ain't got nothing
- 52:11Speaker 1: to do with nothing. And if you're the head person
- 52:13Speaker 1: down there now, you aren't competent and you aren't in
- 52:16Speaker 1: a literate call me and tell me that my son
- 52:19Speaker 1: has to go back to the first grad. I got
- 52:21Speaker 1: one more thing you don't want. I'll tell you what
- 52:23Speaker 1: I'm through with this guy. Comes through with this guy.
- 52:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna say one more thing and I'm gonna be
- 52:26Speaker 1: out here. Are you listening. That's his nephew, Tommy from
- 52:30Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by

- 55:53Speaker 1: is getting elderly people to leave. They just do not
- 55:56Speaker 1: want to leave. It's hard to get them to leave
- 55:57Speaker 1: a house. It's hard to get them to lead because
- 56:00Speaker 1: they ain't got no where to go. Yeah, and then
- 56:02Speaker 1: a lot of old people don't have anybody to care for.

- 56:38Speaker 1: Get in the boat. You're not bringing all of that.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Just get in the boat. People become attached to their belongings,
- 56:46Speaker 1: their things, and they don't want to let go replace them.

- 57:23Speaker 1: buggle up, hold on tight, We got it for you.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Here it is the straw Barry Letter. Subject. I'm grown
- 57:29Speaker 1: and still having daddy issues. Dear Shirley and Uncle Steve.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I am having a hard time dealing with the situation
- 57:36Speaker 1: with my family. I've traveled around the world, got a
- 57:39Speaker 1: couple of degrees, moved away from my hometown, and married
- 57:43Speaker 1: the love of my life. In the last few years,
- 57:46Speaker 1: my dad's health declined and he had to retire. Money
- 57:50Speaker 1: got tight, and now he and my mom fight all
- 57:52Speaker 1: of the time. I called my parents daily before I
- 57:55Speaker 1: go to work, and each day it's a struggle to
- 57:58Speaker 1: talk to my dad. He manages to twist every conversation
- 58:02Speaker 1: into something negative. He constantly says that I abandoned him
- 58:06Speaker 1: and my mom, and he says my mom is a
- 58:08Speaker 1: bad wife. And he constantly tells me that he's old
- 58:12Speaker 1: and dying. My mom is miserable and is leaning on
- 58:15Speaker 1: the fact that they are Christians and she hopes that
- 58:17Speaker 1: their faith will see them through this. I have paid
- 58:20Speaker 1: for counseling for him, and he stopped going because he
- 58:24Speaker 1: thinks his situation is helpless. Is hopeless by the way.
- 58:28Speaker 1: His health is stable now and he's off most of
- 58:31Speaker 1: his medication. He says, I have changed since I moved
- 58:35Speaker 1: away and got married. My dad wasn't always like that.
- 58:38Speaker 1: He was an intellectual, hard working family man that was
- 58:42Speaker 1: involved in the church. I'm emotionally drained and at this
- 58:45Speaker 1: point I'm thinking about moving back home to help out
- 58:48Speaker 1: my family. My husband does not want to relocate. This
- 58:52Speaker 1: is breaking my heart. What should I do? Well? I think,
- 58:55Speaker 1: at the very least, um, you should visit your parents
- 58:59Speaker 1: and um, you know, I mean, phone calls are great
- 59:01Speaker 1: and everything to keep in touch, but maybe they want
- 59:04Speaker 1: to see your face. Sometimes, you know, your parents just
- 59:07Speaker 1: want to see your face and that makes them feel
- 59:09Speaker 1: better inside. Um, you can go for a visit takes
- 59:12Speaker 1: some time off you and your husband or just you
- 59:14Speaker 1: by yourself. Go sit with your parents, talk to your parents,
- 59:17Speaker 1: wait on your parents, help them if they need some help.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Sometimes they just may want to see your face. Um.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You know, don't feel guilty though, because all you have
- 59:27Speaker 1: been doing is living your life. Like you said, you
- 59:29Speaker 1: traveled around the world. You know, you you're educated, you
- 59:32Speaker 1: got your education, you moved, you married the love of
- 59:35Speaker 1: your life, so you're enjoying life. Um, and that's okay,
- 59:38Speaker 1: it's nothing wrong with that. But I think it sounds
- 59:41Speaker 1: like you know your your parents are struggling right now.
- 59:44Speaker 1: You you you financially able to get them counseling and everything,
- 59:48Speaker 1: but sometimes it's just not enough. Your parents maybe, you know,
- 59:52Speaker 1: like you say, they're getting up in age and they
- 59:55Speaker 1: want to see you. I think that you should definitely
- 59:57Speaker 1: take some time out and and spend some quality time
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: with your parents. I don't see that. I don't see
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that in this letter. I see a situation that can
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: be avoided. I see an old man that's manipulative. Now
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: here's what I see. I'm having a hard time dealing
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: with a situation with my family. I've traveled around the world,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: got a couple of degrees, moved away from my hometown,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: and married the love of my life. Right there. Should
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: have kept going? Should have kept going. You've been all
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: around the world, got selting degrees and married the man
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: of your dreams. You should have kept going. Going back
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: home ain't always a good idea, y'all. You leave for
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a reason, No, surely no. This is her mom and daddy.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: But I want you to listen to the letter. Now.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: My dad's health decline and he had to retire. Money
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: got tightened out here and my mom fight all the time.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I can't call my parents daily before I go to work,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: and each day it's a struggle to talk to my dad.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: He manages to twist every conversation into something negative. Quick
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: calling every day, call him twice a week. You quit
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: walking into stress. You're calling him every day to find
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: out what you love him. You don't have to prove that.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: But he gonna make you though, because he real manipulative.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: So watch this hill. He twists every conversation into something.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: He constantly says that I bandoned him and my mom.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: What you're supposed to do? What? What? What? What were
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you supposed to do? Wasn't it his job is your
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: father to raise You have to be an independent young woman,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: and that's what you are now. You You didn't have
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: bandon us. You ain't left him. He says, my mom
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: is a bad wife. And he constantly tells me that
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: he's old and dying. We all dine, everybody in here dying.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: As soon as you're born, you get to dine. That
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: ain't nothing new. I'll tell you the rest when we
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: come back, meaning on the fact that they're Christians. Okay,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: all right. Two of Steve's response when we come back
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: after the hour, and neither do you. She needs to
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: visit her folks. You're listening show, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: let's recap this letter subject I'm growing and won't the
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: girl to go buy and visit, move back and spend
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: all her money helping his old ass. That ain't what
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: we're doing. They want to see her face. No, Shenley,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: this is something difficult. You call every morning, go to work.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: He twisted everything up. Eve. We're talking about your mama.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Let me, is the man tell about your mom? She
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a bad wife. You're the one sick. Are well, that's
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: what I want to get to now, said your wife.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Your wife is a bad mother. Mother is a bad wife.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Constantly tells me he old and died. My mom is
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: miserable and is leaning on the fact that they're Christians
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and she hoped that they faith will see him through there.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: All right, Bob said, faith without works is dead, and
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: right now he ain't working. Faith without works, it's dead.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: He ain't working, and he ain's saying nothing positive. That
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: sounds like a good Christian. I have paid for counseling
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: for him, and he stopped going because he thinks his
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: situation is hopeless. Oh man, Okay. By the way, his
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: health is stable now and he's off most of his medication.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: He says, I've changed since I moved away and got married.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: You did change when you got married. You were supposed
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to see. Now they're using uh, an emotion against you.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: That's the most useless emotion in the world. They've applied
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: guilt to you, and guilt serves no person except the
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: person wanting something from you. That's why they could throw
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the guilt on you. My dad hasn't always been like that.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: He was in the intellectual, hard working family man that
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: was involved in the church. I'm emotionally drained and at
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: this point, I'm thinking about moving back home to help
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: out my family. Excuse me? Are you crazy? I am
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: emotionally drained, So I'm thinking about moving back home help
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: out my family. Are you kidding me? My husband does
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: not want to relocate. This is breaking my heart. What
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: should I do? It's breaking your heart? But if you
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: make your man move back, you might be breaking something else.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Your mother and father are going to be fine. He's
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: an old guy and because he doesn't have the value
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that he used to have, because he had to retire,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: it did something to him. He gotta move past that.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: You didn't pay for counseling. He quit going because he
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: thinks his situation is hopeless. What what? What? So you're
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: gonna move back to town and do what? I gonna do?
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: That to yourself? You've fin to burn a lot of
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: years of your life up that you don't have to
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: They Christians. Let him keep praying. She needs to go
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: visit her parents. She doesn't have to move there. Steve
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: just visit them, she said, moved back. Just let it
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: ain't about visitation. Hey, and he talked to every day.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: She talks to him every day. And what he tells
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: something negative. You didn't got married, you didn't change. Now
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you supposed to. Man. Stop letting obvious things in your
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: life be a problem for you when somebody else look
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: at it. Are you the mood out the neighborhood? You
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: thank you something? Not yes anybody? Yes, I'm something I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: got out now. I don't think i'm something. I'm something.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: I am somebody. You ain't got to prove of it.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: And Shirley, I really tell you, that's how I feel
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: about this letter. Well, and I feel like this guy
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: that's dumping this on his daughter and making him and
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: the mother her responsibility. They're not invalids, right, they don't
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: need to character. I agree with you on that. They're
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: not getting put in a home and nothing they in
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: the house. It's not even about that. I just think sometimes, well,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I know in my family anyway, sometimes you know, I
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: remember when my grandmother we used to go visit her.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: It would just make her whole face light up to
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: see us. She didn't see us that often, but when
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: she did, it would just make her whole face light up.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: And sometimes that's what it is. She would never say
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: come and see me or anything like that. She would
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: never say that ask us to come, but she always
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: wanted us to, and when we did, it made all
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: the difference. We didn't move in with her, We just
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: went to visit. So you're gonna ignore the letter. I'm
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: not ignoring the letter. I'm she said, I'm emostly draining
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: at this point. I'm thinking about moving back home to
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: help up. I don't think she should move back. I
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: never said that. I think she should go for a
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: visit to check it, check on your shout, visit one night. Yes,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: sometimes phone calls don't do it. You know. Oh you
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: think the phone call ain't gonna do it? You get it.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: You get in somebody's face that's manipulating you and using
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: guilt as a problem. You do that, I'm telling you,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: it's gonna be nasty. She should go see her parents.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I agree, cool, But when you get there, you ain't
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: gonna like it. You're gonna want to be on that
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: plane so bad. I want to be back on their phone.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: And that's okay, But at least you'll know for herself.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Haven't you heard that expression? I just want to put
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: my eyes on you. Oh yeah, Oh, I thought you
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: was saying it's her Damn daddy. Have I heard that say?
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I just see it, I just see it. Yeah, I
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: heard it out of my own mouth. You said it's profound. Yeah.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I don't think she should move back, and and you
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: know she's gonna have problems in her marriage if she
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: moves back, because her husband doesn't want to relocate and
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: all of that. But just I just think she should
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: go visit her parents and see for herself what's going on.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: It's okay, we can agree to disagree. It's all right.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: We don't stay long. Twenty four hour. No, that's too long.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: That's too long. I'm done for me. I wish I
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: wish Jay could have been the daughter and you could
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: have been that cantankerous dad Steve in this letter, you
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: do that, I mean, yeah, alright, guys, we do have
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: to go. I think we'll have a re enactment when
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: we come back. I wonder who I'm on. In the meantime,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: you can email us her Instagram. That's your thoughts on
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter at Steve Harvey f M coming up
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: in about ten minutes. What do you know? A re
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: enactment the letter today, the subject I'm grown and still
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: having daddy issues. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Steve alright, guys, the Strawberry Letter today. The subject was
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I'm grown and still having Daddy issues Steve, and it
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: was about a young lady who wrote in who's having
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: a hard time dealing with her family, her mom and dad.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: To be exact, She's left home a long time ago,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: travel the world, got her education, her degrees and everything.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: She moved from her hometown and married the love of
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: her life and she's living her best life. But her
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: parents um were sick. Her dad's health declined and he
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: had to retire. Some money got tight, and she said, uh,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: her dad and mom had to fight all the time,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: and her dad's really negative and he's saying that, you know,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: the daughter's changed and all of that, and she doesn't
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: know what to do. They're Christians, and she doesn't want
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: to move back. She calls them every night, and her
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: husband doesn't want her to move back as well. So
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: there there's pretty much the recap. Who who I'm gonna be? Well, yeah,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the daughter you're the daughter. Of course you know I'm
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: not daddy. Just turned twist everything. I'm the daughter calling
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: all right, ring ring ring ring, Yo, Hey hey, daddy,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: what's going on? How are you doing well? Here yourself?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: How are you doing today? Well? How was I doing yesterday?
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: He was? He was doing good? Am I ever doing? Dude?
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: What do you mean by you're not never doing? Ain't
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: doing good? I'm hurt all the time, I got sick out,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: had lot my job. Ain't nothing going right. I ain't
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: like to count you retired. No, you're doing right. I'm tied. No,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I didn't say you was tired. I said you're retired.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I said I'm tired. But what's your time? You got money?
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I'll send you money. I call you every day anything.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Oh you call that money? Huh? How much you need that?
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Whatever you want to get it for you? Obviously? What
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: what I need? You ain't sent you how much you need?
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Just tell me, I right to check that what you need?
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Just tell me me and your mom need leash tin
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: thousand the month? What? What? What hold on that? The
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: connection here is really bad. It sounded like you said
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: ten thousand. No, you didn't say that. And why can't
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I say that? Well, you could say it now, Well
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: that what I said, But obviously you got a problem
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: with that. I had no problem with what you need
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars, But what's that for? What's gonna buy
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: with it? I got this how known over here? We
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: got to go down to the convocation wants to you.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: We ain't got money for that. We never been on
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: vacation nowhere. Your mama won't go on the crude turned
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: down the mother where we see. You don't want to
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: help us though, then don't help us. I'm helping you.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: But I've respected you all my life. That it, but
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: you ain't. I've never cussed you, but you're pushing it.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Not that now you're talking about cussing your fall. I
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: would never cut you. I just said you was pushing
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: it towards cuss in. I didn't say I would cus you. Girl.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: about your fall. I've only cussed you out about fifteen times.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: That's all more than that. What we are about times?
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: About about fifty times you cuss me out? And how
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: did you know I'm forty three, daddy, forty three? That's
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: just one cuss in the year and and sometime twice.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: What it all the doom and gloom come from. I
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: don't know what doom and gloom come from and just
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: came in here. I can't make it rain. Why why
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: you so mean to me? I'm helping you. Ask me
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: where some damn doom and gloom for you? Donna brave
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: me for that, folk too, You're gonna blame me for
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: that too. I don't know where doom and gloom come from.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Look at the bright side, daddy. Ain't no damn bright
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: side bright side. You just said it was doom and
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: gloom in here. Where you see bright in that? But
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: you don't. You don't have to see it. Looks like
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the bad part of everything that you're so damn stupid good.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: He can't be. It can't be day and night at
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: the same time, bad side of everything. Damn daddy or
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: your custom. No, no, I wasn't a cussom no no, no, no,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: no no no. Now, you didn't custom your father and
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: we christ did. No, Daddy, I did not cuss you.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I said damn daddy. I didn't say damn you, daddy.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: That's cussing. I just said damn. Well, listening to this
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: right here said we're hurting each other. Uh, I hope
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you have a stroke for what I do. What I mean,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: don't move back, girl. I don't know where you get
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: them Trump tendencies from, because you didn't have when I
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: was living at that what you called me Trump tendencies.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I didn't vote for no damn Trump acting like it.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: If I was acting like I'll be rich, I wouldn't
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: need no damn help. You're ungrateful. Yeah, that's see that
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: we're wrong. I should have I should have put you
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: in foster kill. That's what I wanted to do. Mama
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: made you keep us and then your mama we don't
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: talk to me, and letting you come out here now
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: here you look at you. We want your mama wanted
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: to put you in foster care. Well, I know some
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: of the fosters that lived under street, the beautiful people, daddy,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: what I wanted to do? You know, But you were
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: going to foster care. You thought they called their lad
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: name was Froster. Well the problem is this. You want
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: me to come home, and I can't come home. I
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: can send money and I can call and check on you.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Right now I'm living. You can't come see about your
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: mom and your daddy. Not right now, Daddy, I got
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: a husband, see right there, see you right there? When
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: you got in trouble, who come up to the school?
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: You did? Didn't not go on there? Now I'm in trouble.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: You can't come to the house. What the hell going on?
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I said I wouldn't come. I just said I didn't
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: come right now. You ain't dying and the daddy I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: was almost dead to mother girl, you saw that medals
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: in our head. You wouldn't know almost dad, that dead ideas?
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: You think, Well, I guess going and let the Lord
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: take me on home. Oh sorry, I wake up. Tell
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: you what daddy called me when the party they had
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: to go, daddymn out of it, coming up at the
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: top of the trying to save money with no narrow casket.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: The guys are gonna talk football right old. Shoot our
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: hand on with the shoulder pants in it. You're listening
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Even the NFL is
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: affected by Hurricane Florence. Guys head coach Ron Rivera of
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the Carolina Panthers said that the team is praying for
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: everyone in the path of Hurricane Florence. Also, the team's
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: owner and management are working together to assure that the
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: family members of the team are safe and have something
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: in place for them. That is good news right there,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: that they're helping each other. That's what it's all about,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: helping each other get through this out too, man, because
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: you can't because the players be uneasy. Man, when they
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: family on the coast and everything, you gotta come together.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Everybody already, Tommy, you're ready with this week's game, Week
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: two of the NFL. Let's go. All I need is
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: pimping and we can rock and roll. Hold up, let

- 1:19:56Speaker 1: And how you doing? Yeah, it's gonna be tough this

- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Pimps up and everybody else up too, because it's room
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: at a time, not like it. We'll be back with
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right up to this.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Yes you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hurricane Florence
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: is bringing in heavy rain bands and damaging winds uh
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: causing storm surges, river flooding, and tornadoes. Hurricane Florence will
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: continue to bring in the rain over the entire weekend.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: High winds and flooding could not power out for several days.
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: Right now, they are over forty thousand additional utility workers
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: from all over the country mobilized to help restore power
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: to people, and FEMA says they are ready, they are ready.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Please be safe, Please respect mother nature. This is no joke.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: This is not a game. This is not a game.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: Yeah and yeah, and please if you can listen to
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: your local authorities. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: Miss and will be here. She'll have the latest on
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: Hurricane Florence. Is a Friday tracking that'll be at the
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: top of the hour. And uh wow, just you know,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: we gotta keep praying for him. South Kroliny tell you
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: to leave, leave evacuate. Yeah, it's really it's not a request,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: you all know, you know, it's mandatory. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: Well this storm is moving so slow. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: it's just sitting there. But that happened in Harvey, wasn't it.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: It came in he sat on the coast of texts
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: you did that and that and that just you know,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: didn't just flooded here? Yeah it was you. Hurricane had
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: hated that name. Yes, well, alright, guys, right now it's
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: time to have a little fun. They go down in
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: the alphabetical order. They go down the line, and they
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: used to give hurricane's only women's names, and they changed.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Once a hurricane does a bunch of damage, they retired
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: that name. Oh, once it does real bad, they don't
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: use that name anymore. You've never had changed, Timmy, don't
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: have you never ricane? I don't think so. I'm not
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: sure they don't. They're not gonna do that because they
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: don't want They don't want to anger the hurricane. Oh
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: I'm stupid. Huh No, I can't be in the hurricane. Man.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: They don't what anger than her. All right, guys, let's
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: switch gears. Time to have a little fun. Jay is
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: here with a segment called people who Scare Me? Ja
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: what that list? Steve Tommy Junior, y'all can comment on
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: this list as the list I put together. People who
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: just frighten me When you see them, they haven't done
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: anything you, but you see him, they're scared. People who
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: wear gloves for no reason. Card the other day just
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: drive and you was for no reason? I mean, why
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: do you have? I mean like inside the building and
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: it's a hundred degrees outside. A lot of jack. Another
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: one that's give me men who have turned backpacks? What's
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: in Matt? Where you going? Dog? I got one for you.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: People that talk to theirself while they pumping gay, you
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: make it nervo just talking that you got the wrong one.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: Now you haven't seen it one. It looks like they're
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: talking to two people at one time back and for Yeah,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: are you sure they're not on their phone? Nah? They
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: don't have no hint advice on him at all. All right,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: coming up, it's Steve Harvey and his closing remarks. You
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: don't want to miss it. At forty nine after the hour.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: the nation is watching, of course, the East Coast, the
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Carolinas and Virginia and everywhere because of Hurricane Florence. And
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: I know you have some parting words from for us. Well,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: you know, um, a closing remarks is about so many things,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: but just about us as a human race as a whole,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: you know, we're we're in a climate now that's so divisive.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: We're seeing things happen that we've never seen before, from
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: global warming all the way to what's happening in the
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: White House. We are seeing things that we've never seen before. Also,
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: we have catastrophes that's hitting at a rate right now,
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: earthquakes and sosunamis and these hurricanes. Man Puerto Rico was
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: hit last year, Texas was hit with Harvey last year,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: and now the Carolina and Georgia coast is being hit
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: as we speak. We've got to remember who we are.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: We are people. We are all tied together some shape
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: form of fashion. You may not want to admit that.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: You might want to think that your party is different
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: from our party, But them two parties ain't got nothing
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: in them but people. And once you're dealing with people,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: you are dealing with the connectivity that can't be denied.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: And so for those of us that honored that and
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: and and understand who we are as people, we just
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: got to be a little bit more carry, a little
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: bit more understanding, a little bit more giving, a little
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: bit more shary. We just got to man, there are
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: some great people in this world. Irregardless as to what's
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: happening with this White House, with all of these lies
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: and all of this this that's coming out of that
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: that you've never seen before, the discord, I've never seen
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: it like this before. I haven't been through a few presidents.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: I'm sixty one. I've seen some presidents, but this I've
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: never seen before. But irregardless as to what's happening there,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: we can't let that dictate who we have to be,
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: because that's what they up there making. The norm. The
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: norm is that I am my brothers, keep them. The
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: norm is that God blesses you to become a blessing.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: The norm is that you should do unto others as
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: you would have them do unto you. The norm is
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: that all these things that you have done to the
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: least of these, so have you done unto me. That's
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: a requirement of God that we help the less fortunate.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: That we're not walk over everybody we see on the street.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: Everybody on the street ain't doping. Some people out there
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: because they made some bad mistakes, man, and they just
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: happened upon a set of circumstances that they didn't have
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: real answers for. We've got to be better as a people.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: We are better than the White House. I know, I am.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: I know you are because you know how I know
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: because you a Paul. You're absolutely appalled by what's happening
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: in the in the people that's supposed to be in
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: a governing position today, but they are not us. This
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: one is set up to control the people. This is
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: set up for a certain group of people to remain
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: in power. I've never seen them not care so much
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: about people. Really. We don't separate children from their mothers
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: for weeks at a time and don't tell them where
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: they are. We really don't do that. You know why,
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: because we really wouldn't want it done to us. We
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: really do care about the working class people because we
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: have been working class. I've come from the working class.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: I may have made something more out of myself now,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: but I still go to work. I work really hard,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: but I'm from the working class. Probably in the White
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: House right now is we don't have anybody up there
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: from the working class. We have a person that's in control,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: that's always had control, always had money, never seen a
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: difficult day in his life in terms of how to
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: figure out how to make ends meet. He's been jumping
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: through loopholes his entire life. If he needed to find
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: a way to make ends meet, he filed bankruptcy. Start
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: over again? How many times? So for him, you're filing bankruptcy.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: What's wrong with that? See, what he don't understand is
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: when we file bankruptcy, thought, we don't have another million,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: we can go get him put it back together. We
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: were we were in a world of trouble. We are
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: better than our White House and in these difficult times
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: that's going on in the Caroline as a Georgian up
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: the coast. If you know, somebody help him, If you
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: can send ten dollars to the Red Cross, send it.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: You ain't gotta go down there and save everybody and
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: put your life at risk. They got first responders that
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: know how to do this. Tell people who are trained
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: to handle these types of crises and situations, just help
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: your own way, because we're better than this. We are
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: just better than this. I'm sorry, man, it's like crazy
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: when I sit up there and egoes. Puerto Rico was
