- 0:01Speaker 1: Two thousand federal agents are being deployed to Minneapolis. Yes,
- 0:06Speaker 1: I didn't say Minnesota, I said Minneapolis, as an escalated
- 0:11Speaker 1: immigration push is underway. Here is what we know so far,
- 0:16Speaker 1: the two thousand federal agents being deployed to a city
- 0:19Speaker 1: as part of the Trump Administration's latest effort, They say
- 0:22Speaker 1: to crack down not only on immigration but also on
- 0:26Speaker 1: illegal immigrants that they are committing crimes. City officials, of course,
- 0:30Speaker 1: are angry over this. Why because they've been exposed for
- 0:34Speaker 1: the welf of fraud scandal that has reached a fever
- 0:37Speaker 1: pitch this past week in Minneapolis. Now, in the days
- 0:40Speaker 1: since that conservative content creator, a brilliant twenty something with
- 0:45Speaker 1: a cell phone, took down the governor for his oversight
- 0:49Speaker 1: with the fraud, the creator has raised new allegations of
- 0:53Speaker 1: fraud as well. Of course, the left is saying there's
- 0:57Speaker 1: little evidence. If that was true, then why did the
- 1:00Speaker 1: say he wasn't running for re election. The Somali run
- 1:04Speaker 1: daycare centers in Minneapolis are a problem, and the Trump
- 1:07Speaker 1: administration has also moved forward and is frozen federal childcare
- 1:12Speaker 1: funds and at least more biding rhetoric against the Somali
- 1:16Speaker 1: community for the fraud that they have been doing in Minneapolis.
- 1:21Speaker 1: President Trump not backing down. The President stepping up immigration
- 1:26Speaker 1: enforcement as well, and federal agents have already been on
- 1:29Speaker 1: the ground in Minneapolis, and both Immigration and Customs enforcement
- 1:33Speaker 1: agents and the US Port Patrol agents are deploying in
- 1:36Speaker 1: record numbers now.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Agents in Minneapolis.
- 1:39Speaker 1: On Monday, they arrested more than one hundred and fifty
- 1:42Speaker 1: people accused of being in the country illegally, the Department
- 1:45Speaker 1: of Homeland Security saiday's Tuesday statement. The release highlighted nearly
- 1:50Speaker 1: a dozen detainees the DHS called the worst of the worst,
- 1:54Speaker 1: with charges like murder, robbery, probation violations, drug violation, and again,
- 2:01Speaker 1: one of the most important things is this, They're now
- 2:04Speaker 1: no longer terrorizing the people in Minneapolis. DHS posted an
- 2:09Speaker 1: edited video on x showing the Secretary Christy Nome following
- 2:14Speaker 1: armed agents into a three story building in Saint Paul.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Why was this so important because it was a place
- 2:20Speaker 1: where legal immigrants were committing crimes and running their crimes
- 2:24Speaker 1: out of the building. Secretary Nome and our brave DHS
- 2:28Speaker 1: law enforcement have taken Tomas Tabia off the streets. An
- 2:33Speaker 1: Ecuadorian illegal alien convicted of robbery and wanted for murder
- 2:38Speaker 1: and sexual assault. To the criminals living among us, you
- 2:41Speaker 1: are not our neighbors. Leave now or we will find you.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Of course, they don't want to tell you that part
- 2:48Speaker 1: of the story. They don't want to tell you it's
- 2:50Speaker 1: from Ecuador and not Haiti, right because they want this
- 2:53Speaker 1: to be some sort of racial issue. The fact of
- 2:56Speaker 1: the matter is Department of Home and Security doesn't care
- 2:58Speaker 1: where you're from if you're in the country illegally and
- 3:01Speaker 1: committing Hanah's crimes like robbery, extortion, warrants out for murder
- 3:04Speaker 1: and sexual assault.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Now, this is just one individual that was.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Caught because of the people going in and fighting hard
- 3:12Speaker 1: to make sure that we're all safe. We also know
- 3:16Speaker 1: that there are more ICE raids that are happening right now.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Heavily armed ice raids on fraudulent scammers happening all over
- 3:22Speaker 1: the country is what ICE and the Department of Homeland
- 3:26Speaker 1: Security are telling us about.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Even local news.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Covering the story Fox five in Minneapolis saying this.
- 3:33Speaker 3: A major surgeon. Federal agents are expected here in Minnesota.
- 3:36Speaker 3: On top of what we all have already seen in
- 3:38Speaker 3: recent weeks. The Trump administration escalating its immigration crackdown in
- 3:42Speaker 3: the Twin Cities. Ox Stein's Mori Glover here now to
- 3:45Speaker 3: explain what these agents will be looking for.
- 3:47Speaker 4: More while the officers and agents started arriving yesterday in
- 3:51Speaker 4: the first major expansion of President Trump's immigration enforcement efforts
- 3:55Speaker 4: in the new year. Since early last month, federal ICE
- 4:01Speaker 4: agents have been in the Twin Cities to crack down
- 4:03Speaker 4: on immigrants who were in the country illegally. Now, a
- 4:07Speaker 4: new wave of federal agents will expand on that work
- 4:11Speaker 4: and help root out fraud. According to reports, the White
- 4:14Speaker 4: House has already started sending an additional fifteen hundred ICE
- 4:18Speaker 4: agents to the Twin Cities to track down people who
- 4:21Speaker 4: have deportation orders. On top of that, six hundred agents
- 4:26Speaker 4: from Homeland Security investigations will focus on identifying fraud in
- 4:30Speaker 4: the Somali community. Ali. We've arrived to ABC Learning Center.
- 4:35Speaker 4: The thirty day Surge operation comes after a viral video
- 4:39Speaker 4: from right wing influencer Nick Shirley claimed Somali run daycares
- 4:43Speaker 4: were receiving federal subsidies but no children were present. The
- 4:47Speaker 4: Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families said it conducted
- 4:51Speaker 4: compliance checks at nine of the ten facilities featured in
- 4:54Speaker 4: the video. One facility closed in twenty twenty two, and
- 4:58Speaker 4: investigators said children we're present at all the sites except
- 5:02Speaker 4: one that was not open for the day when inspectors arrived.
- 5:05Speaker 5: The mission's going to continue no matter what.
- 5:07Speaker 4: US Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bavino, who has led immigration
- 5:12Speaker 4: roundups in other cities around the country, is expected to
- 5:15Speaker 4: arrive in Minnesota to help with the surge here, along
- 5:19Speaker 4: with a number of Border Patrol agents. Now, the Department
- 5:23Speaker 4: of Homeland Security says it is arrested over a thousand
- 5:26Speaker 4: criminal undocumented immigrants Minnesota in just the last few weeks.
- 5:30Speaker 1: In just the last few weeks, which brings up the question,
- 5:33Speaker 1: why would you not want this type of law enforcement
- 5:36Speaker 1: happening in your city. Well, it's clear Democrats are hoping
- 5:41Speaker 1: to import illegal immigrants, even if they are criminals, even
- 5:44Speaker 1: if they're wanted for drug trafficking, sex trafficking, human smuggling,
- 5:48Speaker 1: or murder. They don't care as long as they set
- 5:52Speaker 1: up in a city where liberals can be elected by them.
- 5:56Speaker 1: US Customs and Border Protection commander, whose tactics have come
- 5:59Speaker 1: on quote increased scrutiny in multiple cities, is also expected
- 6:04Speaker 1: to deploy to Minneapolis, showing that we are not afraid
- 6:08Speaker 1: of liberal Democrats. The war that's being waged against Minnesota.
- 6:12Speaker 1: You're seeing it. That is the response from Governor Tim Waltz.
- 6:16Speaker 1: That's what he said tuesday's news conference. We have a
- 6:19Speaker 1: ridiculous surge of apparently two thousand people not coordinating with us,
- 6:25Speaker 1: that are for a show of the cameras. No, we're
- 6:29Speaker 1: actually arresting the bad guys, Governor, and you would know
- 6:32Speaker 1: this if you actually cared about your citizens instead of
- 6:35Speaker 1: illegal immigrants from Somalia. Uncertainty, of course, is how CNN
- 6:40Speaker 1: puts it, as sweeping Minnesota's largest city, as the fraud
- 6:44Speaker 1: allegations prompt shakeups in local leadership and a new ambitious
- 6:49Speaker 1: immigration enforcement effort by Donald Trump intimidating, as they described,
- 6:54Speaker 1: with the Somali residence that has emerged. This again another
- 6:58Speaker 1: example of the left more about illegal immigrant criminals than
- 7:03Speaker 1: they actually care about citizens in this country. There's an
- 7:07Speaker 1: invisible thread that connects humans across distance. You can't see it,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but you can feel it when you pull, and when
- 7:16Speaker 1: a child in Guatemala learns to read, you feel it.
- 7:19Speaker 1: The thread vibrates with every new word they master. When
- 7:23Speaker 1: a teenager in Kenya gets medical care that saves their sight,
- 7:28Speaker 1: that thread pulls tighter. And when a young woman in
- 7:31Speaker 1: the Philippines breaks her family cycle of poverty, you're standing
- 7:36Speaker 1: there with her. And here's what's remarkable. That thread goes
- 7:41Speaker 1: both ways because while you're changing their life, they're changing
- 7:45Speaker 1: yours too. Their resilience inspires you, their joy reminds you
- 7:50Speaker 1: what matters. Their letters become the highlight of your day.
- 7:54Speaker 1: It is the powerful thread of Compassion International. Just hold
- 7:58Speaker 1: one end of the thread, you'll stay connected through letters, photos, updates, prayers.
- 8:05Speaker 1: The other end is a child who changed everything, including you.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So impact the world, one child at a time. Learn
- 8:14Speaker 1: how at Compassion dot com. That's Compassion dot com, which
- 8:19Speaker 1: brings me to another story. It's all about following the money,
- 8:23Speaker 1: especially in the Somali community. We're now being told that
- 8:26Speaker 1: Somalia's ambassador to the United Nations is linked to medicaid fraud,
- 8:33Speaker 1: not in Minnesota, but in Ohio. As this continues to
- 8:37Speaker 1: explode around the country, the permanent representative Somalia to the
- 8:42Speaker 1: United Nations, a man by the name of Ashman, is
- 8:46Speaker 1: linked to a home healthcare agency in Cincinnati, Ohio that
- 8:51Speaker 1: has been prosecuted for Medicaid fraud. Officials with the Department
- 8:56Speaker 1: of Homeland Security and HHS have now can confirmed. This week,
- 9:02Speaker 1: online reports began circulating that Ausman had ties to Progressive
- 9:07Speaker 1: health Care Services, it is a home health care company
- 9:11Speaker 1: plagued by a Medicaid fraud investigation. HHS Deputy Secretary Jim
- 9:16Speaker 1: O'Neil confirmed via x that Osman is in fact linked
- 9:21Speaker 1: to the Progressive health Care Services and that the federal
- 9:25Speaker 1: agency previously took action against the home healthcare company after
- 9:30Speaker 1: a conviction for Medicaid fraud, saying this, I can confirm
- 9:34Speaker 1: public speculation that Ambassador Assman, the Permanent Representative of Somalia
- 9:41Speaker 1: to the UN and President of the Security Council, is
- 9:45Speaker 1: in fact associated with Progressive health Care Services, a home
- 9:48Speaker 1: healthcare agency in Cincinnati. AHHS has previously taken action against
- 9:54Speaker 1: Progressive in response to a conviction for Medicaid fraud. So
- 9:59Speaker 1: if you think think that this is just going to
- 10:01Speaker 1: be an issue in Minnesota, you.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Are wrong now.
- 10:05Speaker 1: O'Neil's statement came after the account libs of TikTok posted
- 10:10Speaker 1: several documents for porting to show Osman's ties to progressive healthcare.
- 10:15Speaker 1: What is amazing about how this story continues to unravel
- 10:19Speaker 1: not just in Minnesota, but now in Ohio another place
- 10:21Speaker 1: around the country is men and women are doing the
- 10:25Speaker 1: job that the journalists of this country are supposed to
- 10:29Speaker 1: be doing. But the journalists are not doing their job
- 10:33Speaker 1: for one reason, their partisan hacks, state sponsored media of
- 10:37Speaker 1: the Democratic Party quote Somalia's ambassador to the UN Osman
- 10:43Speaker 1: was a healthcare administrator in Ohio. There's another healthcare company
- 10:48Speaker 1: in the same suite as his, with a different name,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and multiple others at the same address, all with Somali names.
- 10:55Speaker 1: The account wrote on acts his company was convicted of
- 10:59Speaker 1: medical fraud while he worked in a Medicaid office in Ohio.
- 11:03Speaker 1: The account wrote, Now, why is this Somali ambassador the
- 11:05Speaker 1: UN working in the healthcare system in the US is
- 11:09Speaker 1: another question that many of you should be asking. The
- 11:12Speaker 1: company not only was convicted of Medicaid fraud while he
- 11:14Speaker 1: was working in that Medicaid office in Ohio.
- 11:17Speaker 2: But wait, there's even more.
- 11:20Speaker 1: The NPI for Somalia's you an ambassador's healthcare company is
- 11:25Speaker 1: on an exclusion list with the code one one two
- 11:29Speaker 1: eight A one.
- 11:31Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 11:32Speaker 1: It means the company has been convicted of Medicaid and
- 11:36Speaker 1: Medicare crimes. This is who is overseeing security now at
- 11:42Speaker 1: the United Nations. He was also a supervisor, so to
- 11:46Speaker 1: act like he didn't know what was going on or
- 11:48Speaker 1: it was someone underneath him is also a lie. The
- 11:52Speaker 1: post shows a LinkedIn page for Ossman where it lists
- 11:55Speaker 1: him as the managing director of Progressive Health Services from
- 11:59Speaker 1: October fourth teen to May of nineteen, around the same
- 12:02Speaker 1: time the company was investigated for Medicaid fraud. Just to
- 12:06Speaker 1: give you more context about the corruption. So the next
- 12:09Speaker 1: time the United Nations starts wagging their finger at the
- 12:12Speaker 1: Security Council, just know it's the same dude that was
- 12:15Speaker 1: involved in healthcare fraud, defrauding Americans and Medicare and Medicaid.
- 12:20Speaker 2: And of course, this.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Story that I'm talking about right now, there's a very
- 12:24Speaker 1: good chance you've heard about it nowhere else at all,
- 12:28Speaker 1: Which brings me to another interesting point that needs to
- 12:32Speaker 1: be made. Waltz dropping out is a very real allegation
- 12:36Speaker 1: of corruption, and it is out of the political arena.
- 12:40Speaker 1: That's at least how one Democrat is describing it. Pau
- 12:44Speaker 1: Bagala on CNN admitting this about the corruption.
- 12:49Speaker 6: Ask you because I do. You're our Democrat here, and
- 12:51Speaker 6: when the news out of Minnesota the governor Toim Walls
- 12:53Speaker 6: is dropping out of the governor's race because of a
- 12:56Speaker 6: welfare fraud scandal on his state that is only intensified.
- 12:59Speaker 6: There's been a lot of action there from when Biden's
- 13:02Speaker 6: in office, but's still going on. Do you think that
- 13:04Speaker 6: was the right move by govern Jent Walls?
- 13:06Speaker 7: I do.
- 13:07Speaker 8: I do, because look, third terms never go very well anyway.
- 13:11Speaker 8: And the Democratic Foreign Labor Party there, the DFL, the Democrats,
- 13:15Speaker 8: they have a very strong bench. Amy Klovicharg's very popular
- 13:19Speaker 8: senator is thinking about running, according to reports. Evant spoken
- 13:22Speaker 8: to her, but I'm sure she is. Keith Ellison, the
- 13:24Speaker 8: attorney General's popular, Steve Simon, Secretary of State. Meanwhile, the Republicans,
- 13:28Speaker 8: oh my gosh, they have a pillow fight on their side,
- 13:31Speaker 8: right with the Speaker of the Minnesota ask the my
- 13:33Speaker 8: pillow guy is running. So this is actually good news
- 13:36Speaker 8: for the Democrats because it also takes this very real
- 13:39Speaker 8: allegation of corruption in childcare and it takes it out
- 13:43Speaker 8: of the political arena, right Republicans can't make hay off
- 13:46Speaker 8: of that.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Believe me.
- 13:47Speaker 8: There's a special place for anybody if they're stealing from children,
- 13:50Speaker 8: vulnerable children, and that place is in prison here and
- 13:52Speaker 8: in hell in the next life. But I don't think
- 13:55Speaker 8: Democrats need to take any lectures about corruption and fraud
- 13:59Speaker 8: from the Donald Trump. Oh he settled a.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Twenty there we go.
- 14:03Speaker 1: There it is the Democratic Party now saying, well, it's
- 14:05Speaker 1: dropping out, takes very real allegations of corruption out of
- 14:09Speaker 1: the political arena, So we shouldn't be taking lectures, as
- 14:13Speaker 1: they describe it, from Donald Trump after billions of dollars
- 14:17Speaker 1: have been stolen from the tax payers. Of course, lowering expectations.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Begala said, third terms never work, so that's another reason
- 14:26Speaker 1: why we should just move on from this, and somehow
- 14:29Speaker 1: says this is back to Donald Trump. Right, he's settled
- 14:31Speaker 1: to fraud case once in New York City, so therefore
- 14:34Speaker 1: that's what we should really be looking at. Democrats, he said,
- 14:38Speaker 1: don't need to take lectures about corruption or fraud from
- 14:42Speaker 1: Donald Trump. So in other words, let it keep happening,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and if a Democrat gets caught, fine, what we'll do
- 14:49Speaker 1: is we'll just act like it's really not a big deal,
- 14:53Speaker 1: which brings me back to the original story. These federal
- 14:57Speaker 1: agents surging in many A to crack down on immigration
- 15:01Speaker 1: and fraud is exactly what the president should be doing.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Democrats are terrified of two thousand people there doing their jobs.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Of course, Governor Walt saying, well, they're not coordinating with us.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You won't know why, because you've declared you're a sanctuary state.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You've declared that you will not work with ICE, You've
- 15:22Speaker 1: declared that you believe that ICE is an evil group
- 15:26Speaker 1: of people. You've dehumanized them, you've turned them into your
- 15:31Speaker 1: bad guys, and so yes, they're not working with you. Yes,
- 15:35Speaker 1: there's no coordination because you chose to go after ICE
- 15:39Speaker 1: and said the illegal immigrant criminals. And if you look
- 15:42Speaker 1: at who's being taken off the streets, that's what really
- 15:46Speaker 1: this should be all about. There are men and women
- 15:49Speaker 1: committing heinous crimes, stealing from Americans. We should all be
- 15:53Speaker 1: outraged over that, as Paul Bagalla described it, we should
- 15:57Speaker 1: all be angry, and we should want there to be
- 16:00Speaker 1: more accountability. We also know that Trump is using Minneapolis
- 16:04Speaker 1: to send a message to all the other fraudsters in
- 16:07Speaker 1: the country. The Department of Homeland Security describing what is
- 16:10Speaker 1: happening in Minneapolis this way as the largest immigration enforcement
- 16:15Speaker 1: operation ever aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration and fraud.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Federal officials and DHS also emphasizing the scale and the
- 16:24Speaker 1: intensity of this operation is a major enforcement action. The
- 16:28Speaker 1: surge includes personnel from ICE and Homeland Security investigations, bringing
- 16:33Speaker 1: they say, broad federal resources to the region where crime
- 16:37Speaker 1: is out of control. DHS highlighting today that some of
- 16:42Speaker 1: the people arrested includes serious offenders ascribed by the Department
- 16:46Speaker 1: as among the worst of the worst, individuals with records
- 16:49Speaker 1: for violent crime like murder and sexual assault of children.
- 16:53Speaker 1: DHS also launched a Worst of the Worst web page
- 16:57Speaker 1: so the public can see the criminal histories and those
- 17:00Speaker 1: arrested nationwide as part of the immigration enforcement underlying that
- 17:05Speaker 1: many apprehended individuals have violent or dangerous criminal records. Homeland
- 17:10Speaker 1: Security Secretary Christy Nome personally being president in Minneapolis and
- 17:15Speaker 1: accompany the agents during the enforcement actions, showcasing federal leadership
- 17:20Speaker 1: and involvement as well as the commitment to get rid
- 17:23Speaker 1: of this fraud in America, and the reports are also
- 17:26Speaker 1: indicating at this hour that additional federal agents beyond the
- 17:31Speaker 1: original surge are continuing to arrive, meaning the reinforcement and
- 17:37Speaker 1: the ongoing commitment to the enforcement of the law in
- 17:39Speaker 1: the community of Minnesota will not only make the people
- 17:42Speaker 1: safe there, but this is all about getting rid of
- 17:46Speaker 1: what the Democrats set up, a safe haven for billions
- 17:50Speaker 1: in fraud. Some Minnesota Republicans and supporters of federal enforcement
- 17:55Speaker 1: efforts have also praised the operation, saying that they're seeing
- 17:59Speaker 1: this urges something that was long overdue and making the
- 18:03Speaker 1: streets safer where they live. So in summary, the Trump
- 18:08Speaker 1: administration's operation in Minneapolis represents a significant federal law enforcement
- 18:14Speaker 1: mobilization we've never seen before, at a level we've never
- 18:19Speaker 1: witnessed before, with a focus on arresting, as the White
- 18:22Speaker 1: House put it, individuals with serious criminal histories and enforcing
- 18:28Speaker 1: immigration laws which the prior administration refused to do as
- 18:32Speaker 1: well as Governor Waltz DHS has highlighted the tangible arrests
- 18:37Speaker 1: of dangerous criminal suspects, active federal leadership on the ground,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and increasing the manpower as well as making it clear
- 18:45Speaker 1: who we're arresting on the web page they've set up.
- 18:49Speaker 1: This is exactly why I voted for Donald Trump, and
- 18:52Speaker 1: I got a feeling there's a lot of people in
- 18:54Speaker 1: Minneapolis that maybe didn't vote for Trump that are now saying, Wow,
- 18:58Speaker 1: maybe I voted for the wrong tim in the last election.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Donald Trump has made a major announcement about Venezuela, and
- 19:06Speaker 1: as a taxpayer, you should be very excited about what
- 19:09Speaker 1: I'm about.
- 19:09Speaker 2: To tell you.
- 19:10Speaker 1: He said that Venezuela will turn over thirty to fifty
- 19:15Speaker 1: million barrels of oil to the United States of America.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Donald Trump announcing that the interim authorities in charge of
- 19:22Speaker 1: Venezuela would be giving us between thirty to fifty million
- 19:26Speaker 1: barrels of high quality, sanctioned oil to the United States.
- 19:31Speaker 1: In a post on True Social Trump explained that the
- 19:34Speaker 1: oil would be sold at its market price and that
- 19:37Speaker 1: Trump would ensure the money from the sales will be
- 19:41Speaker 1: used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the US,
- 19:46Speaker 1: saying quote, I'm pleased to announce that the interim authorities
- 19:49Speaker 1: in Venezuela will be turning over between thirty to fifty
- 19:52Speaker 1: million barrels of high quality, sanctioned all of the United States.
- 19:56Speaker 1: This oil will be sold at its market price, and
- 19:58Speaker 1: the money will be controlled by me as President of
- 20:01Speaker 1: the United States of America to ensure it is used
- 20:04Speaker 1: to benefit not only the people Venezuela, which means you
- 20:08Speaker 1: and I as taxpayers, do not have to worry about
- 20:11Speaker 1: paying for Venezuela like we did in Afghanistan in Iraq.
- 20:16Speaker 1: He also went on to say this, I have asked
- 20:18Speaker 1: the Energy Secretary, Chris Wright, to execute this plan immediately.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It will be taken by stored ships and brought directly
- 20:26Speaker 1: to unloading docks in the United States of America. Now,
- 20:29Speaker 1: after Venezuela's socialist dictator Maduro and his wife Flores, were
- 20:34Speaker 1: captured by US military forces, Trump stated that the US
- 20:38Speaker 1: will run everything regarding Venezuela's oil reserves. It also has
- 20:44Speaker 1: been reported that Venezuela, as of Saturday's oil price, has
- 20:48Speaker 1: approximately seventeen point three trillion in oil reserves, which exceeds
- 20:54Speaker 1: the collective global gross domestic product excluding the United States, Erica,
- 21:00Speaker 1: and China. To put in perspective, this obviously is a
- 21:05Speaker 1: major step forward for the President and also to getting
- 21:08Speaker 1: Venezuela back on its feet and the people there that
- 21:11Speaker 1: have been oppressed by the commist regime for far too long,
- 21:15Speaker 1: what they need economic stability. What is next for the
- 21:20Speaker 1: Western hemisphere. That is a question that Donald Trump is
- 21:23Speaker 1: answering in real time through his actions instead of his words.
- 21:28Speaker 2: With Maduro's capture, there are now real.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Speculation among those in Washington that this could be the
- 21:35Speaker 1: beginning of the end for places like Cuba's dictators, the
- 21:39Speaker 1: regime there. The House Intelligence Committee chairman going on Fox
- 21:44Speaker 1: News channel to talk about exactly what could be next,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and I want you to listen carefully to what he
- 21:51Speaker 1: had to say about. The President also talking about Cuba.
- 21:55Speaker 1: So this will obviously have a lot of a domino
- 21:57Speaker 1: effect in the neighborhood down there.
- 22:00Speaker 4: President Trump and Secretary of Rubio talked about the possibilities
- 22:04Speaker 4: for Cuba.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Let's play this clip real quick.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Cuba is going to be something we'll end up talking
- 22:09Speaker 7: about because Cuba is a failing nation right now, very
- 22:12Speaker 7: badly failing nation, and we want to help the people.
- 22:15Speaker 7: If it's very similar in the sense that we want
- 22:17Speaker 7: to help the people in Cuba.
- 22:18Speaker 5: When the President speaks, you should take them seriously. So
- 22:20Speaker 5: it's suffice that to say, you know, Cuba is a disaster,
- 22:22Speaker 5: it's it's run by incompetent.
- 22:25Speaker 1: See now, men, if I lived in Havana and I
- 22:27Speaker 1: was in the government, I'd be concerned.
- 22:29Speaker 2: What is Cuba thinking right now?
- 22:31Speaker 5: We're going to We're going to see freedom in liberty
- 22:32Speaker 5: in Cuba. I mean the Cuba is a failed state
- 22:36Speaker 5: that people of Cuba do not like IDAs Canal, they
- 22:39Speaker 5: don't like their government. It was all it's all propped
- 22:42Speaker 5: up with the oil from Venezuela. So Cuba has been
- 22:45Speaker 5: the root of evil. So if you look at this
- 22:48Speaker 5: is an unbelievable opportunity. When Trump finishes his this term,
- 22:52Speaker 5: I see, I think all across Latin America we see
- 22:55Speaker 5: freedom and liberty. We'll have a new president in Columbia
- 23:00Speaker 5: next year, and I think the right thing will happen there.
- 23:03Speaker 5: I think diascnaw will be will be gone. So I'm
- 23:07Speaker 5: and look, I'm excited for all my friends that have
- 23:10Speaker 5: fought all these years for freedom and liberty and they
- 23:13Speaker 5: have not been able to get a president that would
- 23:15Speaker 5: show up and do the job that needed to be done.
- 23:17Speaker 5: And this president has been willing to do it. So
- 23:19Speaker 5: hats off to Donald Trump.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Senator Rick Scott and what he had to say there,
- 23:23Speaker 1: He's absolutely right and it brings me the top lawmaker
- 23:26Speaker 1: of the House Intelligence Committee, also saying that he believes
- 23:30Speaker 1: at the weekend capture of Maduro may have a major
- 23:33Speaker 1: domino effect in Cuba. Chairman Rick Crawford, a Republican from Arkansas,
- 23:38Speaker 1: call it the beginning of the end for the regime.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Cuba and Venezuela have had a symbolic relationship for a
- 23:46Speaker 1: long long time. The congressman said, Cuban needs Venezuela and oil.
- 23:51Speaker 1: They no longer have the resources that will be provided
- 23:55Speaker 1: by Venezuela, and that means there are major consequences. According
- 24:00Speaker 1: to Crawford, Venezuela also benefited from the partnership by receiving
- 24:05Speaker 1: medical assistance from Cuba and military protections used by Maduro.
- 24:12Speaker 1: President of Cuba Manuel Diaz is a one party communist
- 24:16Speaker 1: state that has been long at odds with the United
- 24:19Speaker 1: States of America, and the US has an economic embargo
- 24:23Speaker 1: on the country, restricting exports to and from Cuba, as
- 24:27Speaker 1: well as travel restrictions that limit tourism. Those measures have
- 24:31Speaker 1: been in place now for sixty three years. You go
- 24:35Speaker 1: back to February of nineteen sixty two when President JFK
- 24:39Speaker 1: proclaimed an embargo on trade between the United States and
- 24:41Speaker 1: Cuba and directed the Department of Commerce and the Treasury
- 24:45Speaker 1: to implement the embargo, which literally remains in place today,
- 24:49Speaker 1: the State Department saying that on its own website, which
- 24:53Speaker 1: brings us to the bigger question that Crawford brought up.
- 24:56Speaker 1: He said, quote, you may very well see a very
- 24:59Speaker 1: popular uprising there. There's a lot of connective tissue. We have, really,
- 25:05Speaker 1: for a lack of a better term, we have a
- 25:08Speaker 1: familiar bond with Cuba. We have so many families in
- 25:12Speaker 1: South Florida that are directly connected to family members in
- 25:15Speaker 1: Cuba that remittances are a big part of their economy.
- 25:19Speaker 1: They rely on the United States of America, whether they
- 25:23Speaker 1: want to admit it or not, we can play an
- 25:25Speaker 1: outsized role they are in influencing those folks and helping
- 25:29Speaker 1: them to organize, to rise up and help overcome the oppressive,
- 25:33Speaker 1: to help overcome that oppressive regime. Now, Congressman Crawford isn't
- 25:39Speaker 1: the only one talking about how there could be a
- 25:41Speaker 1: major domino effect when it comes to Venezuela and now
- 25:44Speaker 1: in other parts of Latin America. The White House saying
- 25:47Speaker 1: they believe that this could certainly move us in the
- 25:50Speaker 1: right direction and inspire others to stand up to the regimes,
- 25:54Speaker 1: whether it's Columbia or Cuba. There are several other countries
- 25:58Speaker 1: now where there's no problems on the ground for the dictators,
- 26:02Speaker 1: including even Iran, which makes this part of the conversation
- 26:07Speaker 1: even more interesting. We're now hearing a new chant coming
- 26:10Speaker 1: out of Iran. Usually you hear the chant of death
- 26:13Speaker 1: to America. Right now, the protests are continuing across Iran,
- 26:19Speaker 1: and now the protests are calling for quote death to
- 26:23Speaker 1: the dictator, not to America. The protests against the Iranian
- 26:29Speaker 1: regime has now spread to most of Iran's thirty one
- 26:33Speaker 1: provinces as of Tuesday, including cities that have long been
- 26:37Speaker 1: seen as firmly loyal to the Ayatola. The current movement
- 26:42Speaker 1: is arguably larger than the Women Life and Freedom uprising
- 26:47Speaker 1: that really shook the regime to its core in twenty
- 26:50Speaker 1: twenty two, and today's demonstrations are now showing no sign
- 26:55Speaker 1: of backing down in the face of the brutal repression.
- 26:59Speaker 1: The ABC cited video confirming massive protests in seventeen provinces,
- 27:06Speaker 1: plus reports of demonstrations in eleven more verified video footage
- 27:12Speaker 1: of anti government demonstrations was posted from over fifty Iranian
- 27:16Speaker 1: towns and cities, including the Holy Cities as well, which
- 27:21Speaker 1: have previously been strongholds for the theocracy. Outside analysts said
- 27:26Speaker 1: these surprising size and the persistence of the protests in
- 27:30Speaker 1: the regime's political fortress cities was a sign that even
- 27:34Speaker 1: the Iatola's hardcore supporters are abandoning him in the face
- 27:38Speaker 1: of rank incompetence and most importantly, massive economic collapse. The
- 27:45Speaker 1: regime seems reluctant to indulge in the kind of bloody
- 27:48Speaker 1: crackdown that snuffed out the Women Life and Freedom movement,
- 27:52Speaker 1: the protests after Iran's humiliating defeat by Israel and the
- 27:57Speaker 1: United States in the summer of twenty twenty five, as
- 28:01Speaker 1: well as the uprising after the rigged elections in nine.
- 28:05Speaker 1: The Iranian regime is also attempting a difficult political balancing
- 28:09Speaker 1: act by separating demonstrators with legitimate grievances from the rioters
- 28:14Speaker 1: who are supposedly acting on behalf of the United States
- 28:17Speaker 1: and European power as they claim, and all out bloodbath
- 28:21Speaker 1: would make it very difficult for the regime to pretend
- 28:24Speaker 1: it has sympathies and concerns for the Iranian people, which
- 28:29Speaker 1: now brings us to the present's promise. If Iran does
- 28:33Speaker 1: go after the protesters, then America will step up, and
- 28:37Speaker 1: that seems to be giving cover for freedom for the
- 28:39Speaker 1: people of Iran to actually rise up against another regime.
