- 0:35Speaker 1: my lifetime. I made all in the Caribbean and the
- 0:38Speaker 1: Mexican Rear Era. I've been to Alaska. They experience with
- 0:42Speaker 1: my family. I've done it as a performer because I
- 0:44Speaker 1: should be a stand up comedian. And I go out
- 0:46Speaker 1: there and get paid the cruise for free. And I
- 0:49Speaker 1: bring my buddies out there and they were cruised for
- 0:51Speaker 1: free because they just stayed in my room. All they'll
- 0:53Speaker 1: do is pay for the airline ticket and we had
- 0:55Speaker 1: a great time. Seven day cruises Well, my guests founded

- 2:02Speaker 1: jj E Banks, how you doing?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Team?
- 2:05Speaker 4: Oh? Pretty good.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Thank you, hey, thank you for having us.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You know, it's really great because, first of all, I
- 2:12Speaker 1: I just came from I did one of those Viking
- 2:14Speaker 1: type cruises over in years. I was in a buda
- 2:17Speaker 1: past and went up the river and I ended up
- 2:20Speaker 1: in Munich, and I was relaxed the entire time. You know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: technology allows you to reach people, but it's still I
- 2:28Speaker 1: was relaxed. Talk about the significance you know, just in
- 2:32Speaker 1: my community, my community, when my community, I'm talking about
- 2:35Speaker 1: African American community. You know, we tend to we tend
- 2:38Speaker 1: to live a life of stress. What does a vacation
- 2:42Speaker 1: do for an individual when they take a vacation, whether
- 2:44Speaker 1: it's one day or two days, or a week or
- 2:47Speaker 1: a month, talk about the vacation experience, JJ.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Well, for for for me, the vacation experience really just
- 2:57Speaker 4: it takes you to a whole different place. It takes
- 3:01Speaker 4: it eliminates that stress, It eliminates the hassle. You can
- 3:05Speaker 4: just get away. You know, you and I have talked
- 3:08Speaker 4: many times before, and we talked about how it really
- 3:13Speaker 4: it's it's cultural right, you know, where you're able to
- 3:17Speaker 4: travel and experience how other people live and see things
- 3:21Speaker 4: that that's not your norm, so it's just a great
- 3:26Speaker 4: thing to do. It really changed your whole world. I
- 3:29Speaker 4: think travel changes lives completely. You view and you see
- 3:33Speaker 4: things totally different when you're able to get out and
- 3:37Speaker 4: travel outside of what you know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Well, you know, Jamie, the travel industry was shut down
- 3:42Speaker 1: by COVID. Now the bricking records traveling today? What do
- 3:47Speaker 1: you think? Okay, let's talk about why is there such
- 3:50Speaker 1: a big comeback?
- 3:51Speaker 4: Now?
- 3:51Speaker 1: When I travel, I still wear a mask when I
- 3:53Speaker 1: get on the plane. I still wear masks when I
- 3:55Speaker 1: get on the plane, and I'm very comfortable. You know,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm very comfortable because you know, air circlar on the
- 4:00Speaker 1: plane anyways. So now I really have an excuse to
- 4:02Speaker 1: put it on because I always I don't care how
- 4:04Speaker 1: much I've travel because I'm like a diamond on Delta
- 4:07Speaker 1: and all these different airlines and all these because I
- 4:09Speaker 1: traveled so much via the airway. Air How why is
- 4:14Speaker 1: travel so on fire right now? Jamie?
- 4:18Speaker 5: Well, I think there was a lot of pinned up demand,
- 4:20Speaker 5: and what we saw was, you know, we really didn't
- 4:24Speaker 5: get to travel for a year two years, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 5: so people like they we said at home and we
- 4:30Speaker 5: just dreamed about where we wanted to go. It's like
- 4:32Speaker 5: you really couldn't go to Europe easily on the cruise
- 4:36Speaker 5: lane was shut down for almost two years, and once
- 4:39Speaker 5: that reopened, there was a lot of restrictions even once
- 4:42Speaker 5: it did open up, but we were like, just tell
- 4:44Speaker 5: us what we need to do. We're you know, we're
- 4:46Speaker 5: we're here, We're gonna We're going to get through this.
- 4:49Speaker 5: And we're just now even on cruising, we are just
- 4:52Speaker 5: now past that phase of all the restrictions and all
- 4:55Speaker 5: the things that came along with with that COVID the
- 4:59Speaker 5: pandem where where the industry was shut down. I mean,
- 5:02Speaker 5: that's unheard of for the cruise line to be shut
- 5:05Speaker 5: down for so long. And those companies they held strong
- 5:10Speaker 5: and they held in there and they you know, they
- 5:13Speaker 5: lobbied to to be able to open back up and
- 5:15Speaker 5: do it safely. You know, I think that there's there's,
- 5:18Speaker 5: like like you said before, we work in Parks, Cruising
- 5:21Speaker 5: and Getaways, and it's really it's really interesting to see
- 5:24Speaker 5: how Parks was the first one to come back because
- 5:28Speaker 5: you know, it was easy. You know, it's open air.
- 5:30Speaker 5: The restrictions weren't as you know, as long as you
- 5:33Speaker 5: were okay wearing a mask, you know, you could come
- 5:35Speaker 5: to the parks at Disney and at Universal here in Florida.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Uh.
- 5:40Speaker 5: You know, then then Europe and the Caribbean. Caribbean really
- 5:45Speaker 5: never shut down, but there was a lot of there
- 5:47Speaker 5: was a lot of uh steps that you had to take.
- 5:50Speaker 5: And JJ and I like when these places opened up
- 5:53Speaker 5: or we were able to travel there with some of
- 5:55Speaker 5: our agents. I mean we were there, we were doing
- 5:57Speaker 5: the test.
- 5:57Speaker 6: I know that.
- 5:58Speaker 5: I think it was Antarctica when the cruising open and
- 6:01Speaker 5: we went to Antarctic. I think we had to take
- 6:03Speaker 5: like like seven tests or something it was. But we
- 6:06Speaker 5: were like, you know what, just tell us what we
- 6:07Speaker 5: want to do. And so JJ and I we we
- 6:09Speaker 5: were you know, we wanted to be the first ones
- 6:11Speaker 5: to go out there and say it's it's okay, like
- 6:13Speaker 5: it's there is a little bit of you know, of
- 6:17Speaker 5: the unknown that's there. But I think that people then
- 6:21Speaker 5: started seeing other people travel and seeing that it's okay,
- 6:23Speaker 5: and so then they're like, okay, well, you know, now
- 6:26Speaker 5: I want to travel. And so this year seems to
- 6:28Speaker 5: be the year that a lot of people are traveling overseas.
- 6:31Speaker 5: JJ and I we took We took our niece and
- 6:35Speaker 5: two nephews to Europe last summer, and like JJ said,
- 6:39Speaker 5: like it just opened it up. But traveling, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 5: kind of at the during a pandemic was something. But
- 6:47Speaker 5: to expose them, you know, ages eleven, thirteen, and fifteen
- 6:53Speaker 5: to Europe when they've never traveled outside of the United
- 6:56Speaker 5: States was just such a gift. But I think that
- 6:59Speaker 5: the pandemic just sitting back and not doing anything and
- 7:03Speaker 5: seeing things. You know, we were watching a lot of videos.
- 7:05Speaker 5: It's you just depend up. Demand was there and people
- 7:09Speaker 5: just wanted to They want to go. So this year
- 7:12Speaker 5: travel is back. It is in full swing.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Now we're talking to the owners of Magical Vacation Planners
- 7:20Speaker 1: and the dream that started in two thousand and six.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Now my intro I talked about you being a professional
- 7:25Speaker 1: basketball player. Now that mean athleticism. Athleticism has nothing to
- 7:31Speaker 1: do with travel other than the fact that I'm you
- 7:33Speaker 1: traveling in Europe and being an MVP in all these
- 7:36Speaker 1: different countries because you're a hoop man. The reason I
- 7:38Speaker 1: say it was a hoop man because he scored one
- 7:40Speaker 1: hundred and one points in a game. Now you got
- 7:44Speaker 1: to be in shape just to shoot the ball one
- 7:47Speaker 1: hundred and one times to get that amount of point.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And I say, I shot it one hundred one time,
- 7:50Speaker 1: but yeah, shoot enough free throws, three pointers, two points,
- 7:54Speaker 1: driving to the lane, pulling up a jump shot. Now,
- 7:58Speaker 1: what were you doing when he was on all these
- 8:00Speaker 1: points all these years, Jamie?
- 8:03Speaker 7: I tell you, I'm a blindside.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I'm not saying you weren't doing nothing, but I'm sure
- 8:08Speaker 1: you weren't throwing up jump shots and slam dunking and
- 8:11Speaker 1: blocking shots. What were you doing? The CULTI faith the
- 8:14Speaker 1: bus direction.
- 8:16Speaker 5: This was not the direction that I thought this was
- 8:19Speaker 5: done because because I missed the first like seventy six points,
- 8:24Speaker 5: because I was in the stand talking to one of
- 8:26Speaker 5: the other basketball players not paying attention.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You know how much talking you gotta be doing this
- 8:31Speaker 1: stance to miss seventy six out of one hundred and
- 8:34Speaker 1: one points, Okay, you you.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Know I shame on you.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Shame on you. And then here's the part about it.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Somebody had to tell her he was at seventy six. Oh,
- 8:45Speaker 1: she's missed the whole one on one.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Hey, I was worried about what we were doing after
- 8:52Speaker 5: the game. Who were gonna hang out with I love it,
- 8:56Speaker 5: I love it. I was not paying attention.
- 8:59Speaker 4: I can't say she's my biggest pan because you know,
- 9:03Speaker 4: what she was really focusing on is all she cares
- 9:05Speaker 4: about was the last two minutes right right right right
- 9:08Speaker 4: of the game, if we were gonna win, or if
- 9:10Speaker 4: we're gonna lose, because we never went out to eat,
- 9:13Speaker 4: if our team lost, because I never wanted the fans
- 9:16Speaker 4: to ever question what was the reason we lost?
- 9:19Speaker 5: They would say, why did you lose? I'm like, nobody
- 9:22Speaker 5: goes out of.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Well, you know, I'm gonna tell you something. I'm telling
- 9:26Speaker 1: you some j She says something really key to the
- 9:28Speaker 1: She said she was planning. So I'm gonna say that
- 9:32Speaker 1: that was right. That was like the start of them
- 9:34Speaker 1: because the name of the company is Magical Vacation Planner,
- 9:39Speaker 1: so she's always been planning along the way.
- 9:44Speaker 4: So absolutely so.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So in two thousand and six, how did you guys,
- 9:48Speaker 1: because a lot of people want to get into the
- 9:49Speaker 1: travel business, a lot of people have travel agencies, want
- 9:52Speaker 1: to expand how did you guys build this brand, Magical
- 9:56Speaker 1: Vacation Planner.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Well, one of the reasons, you know, when we were
- 10:01Speaker 4: away planned over in Europe, and it was mostly in
- 10:04Speaker 4: Europe when she developed this, you know idea. She went
- 10:09Speaker 4: to college and studied business marketing and travel and tourism. However,
- 10:13Speaker 4: when we were away, you know, she really didn't have
- 10:17Speaker 4: very much to do. She was a domestic goddess. I'm
- 10:19Speaker 4: telling it. She took her of our home and she
- 10:22Speaker 4: did and she did that very well. But you know,
- 10:26Speaker 4: when I was going to practice, or when I was
- 10:28Speaker 4: going to plan a game, or if I was on
- 10:31Speaker 4: you know, a television show or whatever it was, you know,
- 10:34Speaker 4: I had so much engagement with other people. You know,
- 10:38Speaker 4: I interacted with other people while she was at home
- 10:42Speaker 4: with our daughter, you know, not being able to speak
- 10:45Speaker 4: the language, you know, you know, wherever we were at,
- 10:48Speaker 4: and we were in Italy at the time, she couldn't
- 10:51Speaker 4: speak the language, so she didn't get out very much.
- 10:53Speaker 4: So you know, what she really looked forward to was
- 10:56Speaker 4: the times, you know, either after the game when we
- 10:59Speaker 4: did win and we went to go out with other Americans,
- 11:02Speaker 4: you know, to a restaurant, or she you know, looked
- 11:07Speaker 4: and dreamed about Disney, you know, and taking vacations. You know,
- 11:11Speaker 4: whether what we're gonna do at Christmas time, what we're
- 11:13Speaker 4: gonna do at springtime, you know, and when the season
- 11:18Speaker 4: was over, she thought about all of these things. I
- 11:21Speaker 4: didn't never know. I never knew that, you know, she
- 11:25Speaker 4: had such a passion. And when we twenty years after
- 11:29Speaker 4: our marriage, when we moved to Florida, you know, I'm
- 11:33Speaker 4: up sitting up in the attic, you know, going through
- 11:36Speaker 4: every box, page by page. I never threw anything away
- 11:39Speaker 4: unless I read it right. And I find this report
- 11:42Speaker 4: that she had done back in college about becoming, you know,
- 11:47Speaker 4: a travel advisor or sales person with the Walt Disney Company.
- 11:53Speaker 4: This is something that she wrote way back in nineteen
- 11:57Speaker 4: ninety one. And I find this twenty years in to
- 12:00Speaker 4: our marriage. Wow, you know, and right down in our
- 12:03Speaker 4: office today it is plastered on one of our biggest
- 12:06Speaker 4: walls in our office. So I think that was kind
- 12:10Speaker 4: of wouldn't you say? That was kind of the start
- 12:12Speaker 4: to Yeah, it.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Was just kind of destiny, almost like a full circle moment.
- 12:16Speaker 5: And so when you retired, I like, I tried to
- 12:19Speaker 5: get a job and and everybody's like, oh, We've got
- 12:23Speaker 5: a really big gap. So it just looked like I'd
- 12:24Speaker 5: been staying at home not doing anything. I did finally
- 12:28Speaker 5: land a job at a bank, and and I said,
- 12:30Speaker 5: whenever I got there, I was like, well, can I
- 12:33Speaker 5: you know, will I be considered for promotions again? I
- 12:35Speaker 5: don't want to stay here forever. I've got to you know,
- 12:37Speaker 5: I've got a degree, I've got a lot of experience
- 12:39Speaker 5: and you know, in meeting people, traveling the world. And
- 12:43Speaker 5: I was bypassed by three three promotions and on the
- 12:46Speaker 5: last one I finally said, they didn't even post the
- 12:48Speaker 5: last one. And I finally said, am I doing something wrong?
- 12:52Speaker 5: You know, because like you know, that's our first thing,
- 12:55Speaker 5: is like what am I doing wrong that I'm not
- 12:57Speaker 5: being picked? Like did I upset somebody? Did I?
- 12:59Speaker 4: You know?
- 12:59Speaker 5: We second guess ourselves. And the president was really nice.
- 13:03Speaker 5: He's like, oh, no, everybody loves you, like they love
- 13:04Speaker 5: coming in, They love you know, they actually everybody wants
- 13:07Speaker 5: to go to your counter because they enjoy talking to you.
- 13:09Speaker 5: And I said, why I've been passed up for so
- 13:12Speaker 5: many positions and this last time I didn't even know about.
- 13:14Speaker 5: And he said, well, this person had a family. I said,
- 13:17Speaker 5: I have a family. He said, yeah, but you have
- 13:19Speaker 5: JJ And I said, so basically, I'm going to not
- 13:22Speaker 5: move anywhere because I have a successful husband. And he's
- 13:25Speaker 5: like no, and I was like no, I mean I
- 13:27Speaker 5: hear you loud and clear. And so I went home
- 13:29Speaker 5: and I asked JJ. I said, you know, like I'm
- 13:32Speaker 5: I'm really frustrated, and I'm not really a quitter, like
- 13:35Speaker 5: I don't I don't like to quit, right, but this
- 13:37Speaker 5: was it was a dead end job. Like if that
- 13:39Speaker 5: would be the true definition of a dead end, you know.
- 13:41Speaker 1: That's I always talk about people afraid of change, and
- 13:45Speaker 1: that's a moment that you took it upon yourself, discussed
- 13:48Speaker 1: it's going to discuss with JJ and say, hey, this
- 13:51Speaker 1: is not going to work for me, and both of
- 13:53Speaker 1: you guys agreed. Change is necessary. And I think that
- 13:55Speaker 1: so many people are sitting their jobs right now, frustrated, upset, raid.
- 14:00Speaker 1: What's the next step When I come back, We're going
- 14:02Speaker 1: to discuss more because because I always tell people what
- 14:06Speaker 1: you do between the ages of eighteen and twenty two
- 14:09Speaker 1: is what if you realize what you're doing right then
- 14:12Speaker 1: is what you should be making money with when you're forty,
- 14:15Speaker 1: fifty and sixty. And that's what you're doing now of
- 14:17Speaker 1: something you were when you was in college. You know,
- 14:21Speaker 1: put aside that was a dream. That's when you was
- 14:23Speaker 1: a dreamer. That's when you advocated for your own personal beliefs.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You put it aside and realize and fortunately, you know,
- 14:31Speaker 1: JJ found it and guess what, we're living the life
- 14:34Speaker 1: of the Magical Vacation Planner. We'll be right back with
- 14:38Speaker 1: more Money Making Conversation Masteric class. Their dreamers. Everybody there
- 14:41Speaker 1: dreamers and they're following their dreams. We're gonna talk about
- 14:43Speaker 1: the HBCU program that that isn't being inspired by JJ
- 14:47Speaker 1: and a lot of things. These dreams can be yours too,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and I enjoy the opportunity of presenting to everybody who
- 14:53Speaker 1: listens to Money Making Conversation master Class. Be right back.
- 15:02Speaker 8: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 15:06Speaker 8: with Rushan McDonald. You are now tuned into the Money
- 15:11Speaker 8: Making Conversations Minute of Inspiration with Ushawn McDonald's.
- 15:15Speaker 3: This week, I sat down with award winning actor, best
- 15:17Speaker 3: selling author, and entrepreneur Heal Harper. He stopped by and
- 15:21Speaker 3: talked about how his thyreut cancer diagnosis led to his
- 15:24Speaker 3: role as a health and wellness ambassador, teaching everyday people
- 15:28Speaker 3: how to live healthier lives.
- 15:31Speaker 6: We believe that a lot of the root cause of
- 15:33Speaker 6: cancer has to do with what we put on our skin.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Our skin is the largest organ on our body and
- 15:38Speaker 6: morphs everything. Just as if you hate it, your inder, consistent,
- 15:42Speaker 6: your liver, your kidneys have to deal with it. And
- 15:44Speaker 6: they said, the reason why I will never be tested
- 15:46Speaker 6: because the same companies that make the lotions that contain
- 15:48Speaker 6: the aluminum, the petroleum, the parabis and the oils and
- 15:51Speaker 6: all these things, the same companies who make that are
- 15:54Speaker 6: all the same companies as a drug company, So they're
- 15:56Speaker 6: never going to do a long term study of the
- 15:59Speaker 6: effects of their product.
- 16:01Speaker 3: If you want to listen to this full interview with

- 17:13Speaker 7: Keep winning.
- 17:16Speaker 8: Now, let's return to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rashaun McDonald.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Welcome back. We're talking to the founders of Magical Vacation Planner.
- 17:25Speaker 1: They are three branches MVP Parks, MVP Cruising and MVP
- 17:30Speaker 1: Getaways JJ. How can one get in touch with you
- 17:34Speaker 1: and Jamie regards to information about vacation getaways based on
- 17:39Speaker 1: parks and cruising and cruising.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Well er, You can go to Magical Vacation Planner dot com.
- 17:47Speaker 4: That's our website. However, our product is delivered and distributed
- 17:52Speaker 4: through our travel advisors.
- 17:55Speaker 6: So one of the.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Things here at our company what we do is we
- 17:58Speaker 4: help people grow buss and we make sure that they
- 18:03Speaker 4: understand and they learn how to grow a business. And
- 18:06Speaker 4: we would like our leads and everything to go to
- 18:08Speaker 4: our advisors. So if you go to our website and
- 18:13Speaker 4: look up Magical Vacation plan dot com and you send
- 18:15Speaker 4: the lead in, we will then send that lead to
- 18:19Speaker 4: one of our advisors and they'll reach out to you
- 18:21Speaker 4: UH and be able to accommodate you that way.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So you're saying that you not only are vacation planners
- 18:27Speaker 1: will get away parks and cruises, but you also train.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Is That's what I'm hearing. You train individuals for this
- 18:34Speaker 1: type of business.
- 18:35Speaker 4: That is That's exactly right. So you know, one of
- 18:39Speaker 4: the things that we take on here what we do
- 18:42Speaker 4: is and I'm going to touch on this for Sean
- 18:43Speaker 4: just a little bit. When I left basketball and I
- 18:47Speaker 4: went into the and I got into the corporate world.
- 18:50Speaker 4: One of the first things jobs that I took I
- 18:53Speaker 4: was a corporate trainer developed training for a major contract company. UH.
- 18:58Speaker 4: And when Magical Ducation Planner decided to grow, we knew
- 19:02Speaker 4: that training education would be a major piece to this.
- 19:05Speaker 4: So UH, Jamie had already put the platform together where
- 19:09Speaker 4: she wanted to grow and bring some of her started
- 19:12Speaker 4: with some of her friends along the way, but we
- 19:15Speaker 4: knew that we need to get them up to speed,
- 19:17Speaker 4: educate and train them. So we developed a very strong,
- 19:21Speaker 4: comprehensive educational program where we bring people in and we
- 19:26Speaker 4: teach them how to grow business now.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And what that being said because I talked that in
- 19:31Speaker 1: the intro about HBCUs, that's level of diversity because you know,
- 19:36Speaker 1: in the industry of people of color is not a
- 19:39Speaker 1: dominant look. And you know, I knew people who try
- 19:43Speaker 1: to get into business talk about that that that wall
- 19:47Speaker 1: and the wall of opportunity that you're breaking down.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yeah, so when I got into this side of the industry,
- 19:55Speaker 4: you know, I'm going to say that you don't know
- 19:57Speaker 4: what you don't know. You really don't know. Uh, you know,
- 20:00Speaker 4: the opportunities that can come out of a business like this,
- 20:03Speaker 4: you know, you owning your own business, the the feeling
- 20:07Speaker 4: and the the the pride that you gain from owning
- 20:10Speaker 4: something and something becomes yours. When I was attended a
- 20:15Speaker 4: lot of on the you know, the meetings that I
- 20:17Speaker 4: was going to, I didn't see a lot of people
- 20:20Speaker 4: that looked like me. So it wasn't a lot of diversity, uh,
- 20:23Speaker 4: in the industry and still not a lot of diversity
- 20:26Speaker 4: in the industry, so it's very underrepresented. Uh So one
- 20:30Speaker 4: of the things that I'm looking to do is to
- 20:33Speaker 4: educate you know, uh, students that inspire to you know,
- 20:38Speaker 4: grow a business to uh someone to inspire them to
- 20:43Speaker 4: who if they want to travel the world and they
- 20:46Speaker 4: want to learn and own a business. You know, that's
- 20:49Speaker 4: one of the things that I'm you know, Magical Vacation
- 20:51Speaker 4: Planner is inspired to do.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Right now, now you know, the whole dream, the whole
- 20:57Speaker 1: aspirational thoughts came out of of Jamie's head. Jamie, I'm
- 21:02Speaker 1: gonna ask you a question, what makes a good MVP agent?
- 21:06Speaker 5: Well, that is a broad question because I think one
- 21:09Speaker 5: of the things that I have to say is that
- 21:12Speaker 5: we have we have people from all walks of life,
- 21:16Speaker 5: right and I think this is going to surprise you.
- 21:17Speaker 5: We have we have nurses, we have teachers, we have pharmacists,
- 21:21Speaker 5: we have doctors, we have lawyers, we have stay at
- 21:25Speaker 5: home moms.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We have a lot of So you're telling me that Rashwan,
- 21:30Speaker 1: just just forget about this. Do people people are lawyers, nurses, doctors,
- 21:36Speaker 1: people who are this is not a stay at home mom.
- 21:39Speaker 1: There are people out there who have full time job,
- 21:41Speaker 1: professional jobs who are m VP agents. So there are
- 21:45Speaker 1: people who are listening to this show should like tick
- 21:48Speaker 1: the blinders off their their their heads and go, look,
- 21:51Speaker 1: there's an opportunity to make additional money travel the world.
- 21:54Speaker 1: That's what you're offering in this particular interview to people
- 21:57Speaker 1: who are listening.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Correct and Rashan you taking eighty cruises, you need to
- 22:01Speaker 4: come on board. That's right.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Hey, I'll tell you some brother, Well, you know, you know,
- 22:08Speaker 1: just get sidetracked at the buffets, man, the buffets. I
- 22:14Speaker 1: am a king of the buffets.
- 22:15Speaker 8: Man.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I my family go in those little those little day
- 22:19Speaker 1: crew though they they walks around the island. Just put
- 22:22Speaker 1: me in front of the buffet. I'm good all day, brother,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm good all day.
- 22:25Speaker 5: I love it. Yeah, I think that the first few
- 22:29Speaker 5: times that this happened, we had a nurse that she
- 22:31Speaker 5: had gone to Indiana University for four years and when
- 22:34Speaker 5: she said she was quitting nursing because she found more
- 22:37Speaker 5: joy and she had she at the time she had
- 22:40Speaker 5: two kids, and she said, this is not stressful. She
- 22:44Speaker 5: loved it. She loved helping other people plan their vacations
- 22:49Speaker 5: and it allowed her to stay at home with her kids.
- 22:51Speaker 5: And I knew her mom and dad, and I was
- 22:54Speaker 5: terrified of what they would think. And even to this
- 22:56Speaker 5: day when I see her mom and dad, you know,
- 22:58Speaker 5: I laugh and she's do you still feel terrible about that,
- 23:01Speaker 5: don't you? And she said, I actually both of her
- 23:04Speaker 5: daughters work for us, And she said, I just want
- 23:07Speaker 5: you to know all I want for all we want
- 23:10Speaker 5: for our daughters is that they are doing something that
- 23:12Speaker 5: they love and they love doing this and both of
- 23:17Speaker 5: them had college degrees, and you know, it's just it's
- 23:21Speaker 5: eye opening to me. And especially the pandemic gave a
- 23:26Speaker 5: lot of people thought of what they want to do.
- 23:29Speaker 5: You know, they want to be a job that they
- 23:30Speaker 5: don't like. Do they want to make a difference? Do
- 23:32Speaker 5: they want to do something that they love? And we
- 23:35Speaker 5: saw a jump in people saying, you know, hey, I
- 23:39Speaker 5: don't I don't want to have my nine to five.
- 23:42Speaker 5: I want to do this all the time. I want
- 23:43Speaker 5: to focus on this. I love this community, I love
- 23:46Speaker 5: being a part of this. And you know, and they've
- 23:51Speaker 5: made a career out of it. We have police officers,
- 23:54Speaker 5: we have I mean, you name it, and we probably
- 23:58Speaker 5: have it.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I have. We have people that are doing this
- 24:01Speaker 4: part time. We have people that's doing this full time.
- 24:05Speaker 4: We have people that's doing this just this supplement income.
- 24:08Speaker 4: We have people that's doing this to pay off student loans.
- 24:11Speaker 4: We have students that have you know, part time school,
- 24:15Speaker 4: part time travel advisors. So you know, it doesn't matter
- 24:18Speaker 4: how much time you have, you know, because we have
- 24:22Speaker 4: people that are all at different stages. We have people
- 24:25Speaker 4: that's been here one or two years. The ones that
- 24:27Speaker 4: is Jamie's referring to have been here thirteen or fourteen years,
- 24:32Speaker 4: and they've made a living and a career out of this.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell y'all some I'm mad at myself. I
- 24:38Speaker 1: should have asked this question, like if the fresher will
- 24:42Speaker 1: be my first question? Because now, JJ, you got me mad,
- 24:45Speaker 1: got me thinking because I have been on Ady cruz
- 24:47Speaker 1: is Man and the fact that I can make money
- 24:51Speaker 1: and travel too and eat.
- 24:53Speaker 9: Yeah, that's like that's a magical vacation plan for me.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Okay, absolutely, And you're helping you know, family, friends, you know,
- 25:04Speaker 4: even strangers create memories for their own family. It's when
- 25:08Speaker 4: you get such a pleasure out of doing this, you
- 25:10Speaker 4: know you're doing something good. You're helping somebody. You're eliminating
- 25:14Speaker 4: the stress and the anxiety you know of planning and
- 25:18Speaker 4: booking a vacation, right.
- 25:19Speaker 6: You know.
- 25:20Speaker 4: So some people save up, you know, their whole life
- 25:23Speaker 4: to take a vacation and they wanted to go perfect, right,
- 25:26Speaker 4: you know. And you're the first point of contact to
- 25:29Speaker 4: be able to do that, you know, for a family.
- 25:31Speaker 1: That's awesome. I want to tell you you guys are
- 25:34Speaker 1: fantastic when I interview you, the energy, the information. As
- 25:37Speaker 1: we close, JJ, how do we get in touch with
- 25:40Speaker 1: you guys through your services?
- 25:43Speaker 4: I don't let Jamie take that one because he's really
- 25:45Speaker 4: good at that.
- 25:45Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, since he said earlier, you can find us
- 25:47Speaker 5: at www. Magical Vacation Planner dot com. But you can
