- 0:10Speaker 3: So don't given a.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Black all bu bu boozy.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Listen to I don't Joy, Yeah, Joy, you know you
- 1:01Speaker 3: turn love you, you gotta turn. I got to turn
- 1:41Speaker 3: the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 4: You probably got to turn the mouth.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Turn out the word. Then up looking, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come out you'll think, ah, I said, will come on it.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Everybody y'all listening to the voice, come on, dig me
- 2:07Speaker 5: now what and on it? Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:11Speaker 5: show man, Oh man, ain't god good?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:14Speaker 5: Yes, hey, you know I want to remind everybody today
- 2:18Speaker 5: that you got to keep pressing forward.
- 2:19Speaker 6: Man.
- 2:20Speaker 5: I know it gets difficult out there sometimes, but you
- 2:23Speaker 5: got to keep pressing forward. There's nothing else for you
- 2:27Speaker 5: to do. The option of quitting, turning back, giving up
- 2:31Speaker 5: it cannot be there. The thoughts can pop into your head,
- 2:35Speaker 5: but when they do, you got to pray about it.
- 2:38Speaker 5: But you got to keep pressing forward. You got to
- 2:41Speaker 5: keep it moving, man. I don't care how dark and
- 2:44Speaker 5: dirty it get for you. You got to somehow summon
- 2:47Speaker 5: it up within you to keep it moving, to keep
- 2:50Speaker 5: pressing forward, because the only way you gonna get it is.
- 2:53Speaker 5: You got to stay in the race. You know, you've
- 2:55Speaker 5: heard it said a thousand times. The race isn't given
- 2:58Speaker 5: to the swift, but to him that in do to
- 3:00Speaker 5: the end. You got to stay with it. Whatever it is.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I don't know what it is for you, but whatever
- 3:05Speaker 5: it is, you got to stay with it. Because Quentin,
- 3:08Speaker 5: don't let you see the end result, give it up.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Don't let you see the end results turning back, don't
- 3:13Speaker 5: let you see the end. The only way to see
- 3:15Speaker 5: the end results is you got to finish the race.
- 3:18Speaker 5: You got to stay in the race because the victory
- 3:21Speaker 5: may be nearer than it seems. There's a poem I
- 3:24Speaker 5: learned in college under some stressful situations.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I just said like that.
- 3:29Speaker 5: There is a stanza in this poem called don't Quit
- 3:32Speaker 5: that says, often the goal is nearer than it seems
- 3:37Speaker 5: to a faint and a faltering man, And often the
- 3:41Speaker 5: struggler has given up when he might have captured the
- 3:46Speaker 5: victor's cup, and he learns too late, when the night
- 3:50Speaker 5: came down, how close he was to the golden crown.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Now that's just a stanza in it. The poem is
- 3:58Speaker 5: much longer than that. The whole thing because I learned it.
- 4:03Speaker 5: But I've always remembered that poem. But you know I'm
- 4:07Speaker 5: talking to you today from the standpoint of encouragement.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I won't.
- 4:11Speaker 5: I want to show you an analogy that I tripped
- 4:13Speaker 5: on this morning when I was thinking about something I
- 4:17Speaker 5: wanted and I was thinking, you know, okay, if you
- 4:22Speaker 5: have a job, the way you have to do your job,
- 4:25Speaker 5: your job forces you to do this. See, you can't
- 4:27Speaker 5: just randomly do this on your job. A job forces
- 4:31Speaker 5: you to plan ahead a little bit.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You know.
- 4:35Speaker 5: A job requires that you go through the procedures in
- 4:37Speaker 5: order for something to happen that you want to happen. Example,
- 4:42Speaker 5: you want a vacation, you have to put in for
- 4:45Speaker 5: that vacation, and that's what it's called on your job,
- 4:48Speaker 5: just put in. You may dress it up some other way,
- 4:49Speaker 5: but the common sense you have to put in. You
- 4:54Speaker 5: got to do that because the job requires it. You
- 4:57Speaker 5: got to put in for your vacation. If you want
- 5:00Speaker 5: a promotion and you see it post it somewhere that
- 5:04Speaker 5: we are now have a position opening.
- 5:06Speaker 1: You got to put in for that. You just can't
- 5:08Speaker 1: sit back and hope they pick.
- 5:10Speaker 5: You, because they're probably going to pick the person who
- 5:14Speaker 5: wants it, who shows the initiative to go get it.
- 5:18Speaker 1: So you have to put in for a promotion on
- 5:20Speaker 1: a lot of jobs.
- 5:21Speaker 5: If you want some days off, a couple of days here,
- 5:26Speaker 5: a couple of days that you got to put in
- 5:28Speaker 5: for that.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But all of these are things that you want.
- 5:32Speaker 5: You want vacations, you want a day off here, and
- 5:34Speaker 5: now you want some promotions. If you want a raise,
- 5:39Speaker 5: you have to go in and request a raise. It
- 5:45Speaker 5: requires an action on your part on your job. And
- 5:49Speaker 5: guess what, we've all accepted this as this is the
- 5:51Speaker 5: way it's done. You want to raise, you have to
- 5:54Speaker 5: put in for a raise. You want to raise, you
- 5:55Speaker 5: got to go in and have a meeting and take
- 5:57Speaker 5: a request so you can show your value to get
- 5:59Speaker 5: to raise.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You on a vacation time, you got to put in
- 6:02Speaker 1: for that.
- 6:02Speaker 5: And then they got to they can tell you, yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 5: your name, you want a promotion, same thing, you want
- 6:07Speaker 5: some days off, same thing. Okay, that's the deal with
- 6:10Speaker 5: your job. Well that's the deal with your life too.
- 6:13Speaker 5: That exact picture that I painted for you that you're
- 6:16Speaker 5: all so very much aware of that you're very crystal
- 6:19Speaker 5: clear on the rules and regulations that you have no
- 6:21Speaker 5: problem following him the same rules for your life. What
- 6:23Speaker 5: you mean by that, Steve, You got to put in
- 6:25Speaker 5: with God. You got to put in for what you
- 6:30Speaker 5: want with God?
- 6:32Speaker 3: Are you?
- 6:32Speaker 5: And it's as simple as that you put in you
- 6:35Speaker 5: want some more of this? Some more that you got
- 6:38Speaker 5: to put in with God. You put in with your job.
- 6:41Speaker 5: You go down there and ask that man what you want,
- 6:43Speaker 5: and you ain't got no problem following the rules. Well,
- 6:47Speaker 5: put in with God what you want for your list?
- 6:50Speaker 5: What's your request? What do you really want? How much
- 6:55Speaker 5: money you really trying to make? Where you really trying
- 6:58Speaker 5: to live? What kind of career and job would you
- 7:00Speaker 5: really like to have? What kind of person would you
- 7:03Speaker 5: really like to be? What type of family are you
- 7:06Speaker 5: hoping and wishing for? Who is the person you want
- 7:09Speaker 5: in your life? What type of person do you? What's
- 7:11Speaker 5: the relationship you're looking for?
- 7:13Speaker 7: What you want?
- 7:14Speaker 1: You got to put in for that, You got to
- 7:17Speaker 1: put in. You got to go to God and put
- 7:18Speaker 1: in for that.
- 7:19Speaker 5: See, we'll follow the rules set to us up, set
- 7:22Speaker 5: us up and set up by us in a system.
- 7:25Speaker 5: But we simple rules of putting in for your life. Man,
- 7:28Speaker 5: we don't even do that. I wish I would put
- 7:31Speaker 5: in for a job and not put in for God.
- 7:33Speaker 5: You gotta be kidding me. You think this man that
- 7:35Speaker 5: has this company can has more to offer to you
- 7:38Speaker 5: in terms of vacation promos and raisers than God God
- 7:41Speaker 5: for you for your life. Man, you keep putting too
- 7:45Speaker 5: much faith in Man. That's what's wrong with us. I
- 7:47Speaker 5: show hope he give me this raise, I'll show hope.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't even go to people with that.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I go to God about it. Then God touch them
- 7:55Speaker 5: people's hearts. Then when I walk in there, it's already done.
- 8:00Speaker 5: That's how you capture this thing, folks. It's not a
- 8:03Speaker 5: magic trick. It's just a real simple understanding. Why would
- 8:09Speaker 5: you not put in with God? If you're gonna put
- 8:10Speaker 5: in on your job, That don't make no sense. Where
- 8:12Speaker 5: you get the job from, where your boss get his
- 8:15Speaker 5: position from? Where did this company come from? So when
- 8:18Speaker 5: you peel back to but now that it all make
- 8:20Speaker 5: a lot of sense, don't it?
- 8:22Speaker 1: It really does. And I'm just a common sense God.
- 8:24Speaker 8: You know.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Look, I don't have the education that a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 5: people have, but I gotta show show enough bunch of
- 8:30Speaker 5: life experience. Though, Oh, I've been. I've been getting smacked
- 8:34Speaker 5: and knocked down the majority of my life. Oh I
- 8:37Speaker 5: may look good to you now. They look like he
- 8:39Speaker 5: got his shine going on. And I am grateful to
- 8:41Speaker 5: God for my life that I got now because this
- 8:43Speaker 5: show ain't the one I had, But I got news
- 8:46Speaker 5: for you. It ain't the one I thought I was
- 8:47Speaker 5: gonna have until I put in for it. I ain't
- 8:51Speaker 5: seen none of this until I put in for it.
- 8:53Speaker 5: And you know, after, as I saw it shaping and forming,
- 8:56Speaker 5: then I said, God, could that really be happening? I
- 8:58Speaker 5: wonder if you could make me this? Lord, I was wondering, Man,
- 9:02Speaker 5: could I really have a syndicated radio show? Lord, I
- 9:05Speaker 5: make it happen. If it's in your will.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I put in for it, put in for it. Now.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I'm working my tail off now because that's a part
- 9:13Speaker 1: of it. See.
- 9:14Speaker 5: But then God tells you that too. He says, faith
- 9:16Speaker 5: without works is dead. I'm working my behind off. But
- 9:20Speaker 5: the big thing is I put in for it. So
- 9:23Speaker 5: I got a bunch of more stuff that I don't
- 9:24Speaker 5: put in for God. I can't tell y'all what it is,
- 9:26Speaker 5: but oh, Lord, have mercy. I'm in line. I'm putting
- 9:30Speaker 5: in for all the blessings that's due me. If there's
- 9:35Speaker 5: a raise, if God's passing out of raising blessings, I'm
- 9:38Speaker 5: lined up. He passing out a promotion. He's going to
- 9:40Speaker 5: promote some more blessings. I'm lined up. He want to
- 9:43Speaker 5: send me on a bigger vacation. I'm lined up.
- 9:47Speaker 1: He passing out extra checks down at the job.
- 9:50Speaker 5: I'm lined up because I'm putting in. Why don't you
- 9:53Speaker 5: put in too? Come on, y'all talk to God. He
- 9:56Speaker 5: loved hear from you.
- 9:57Speaker 9: You're listening.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Show, ladies and gentlemen. Let me have you undivided attention.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Okay, I need it. I need it just for a
- 10:07Speaker 5: second here. Well, I'm actually asking it for the next
- 10:09Speaker 5: four hours. But who listened to the radio for four hours? Well,
- 10:12Speaker 5: we hope you do, but we know you probably got
- 10:15Speaker 5: to go to work, so you don't. And we was
- 10:17Speaker 5: hoping some people just stick around for the four hours
- 10:19Speaker 5: while they was at work. But you need your job,
- 10:21Speaker 5: so you can't be listening to the radio. So we
- 10:23Speaker 5: was hoping in that you put your handsets on when
- 10:25Speaker 5: you're going in the job. But then you can't do
- 10:27Speaker 5: that because they see the hair sets you're gonna lose
- 10:29Speaker 5: your job too, so you face with it, carned you.
- 10:32Speaker 5: You can stay with us and have a wonderful day,
- 10:34Speaker 5: or you can stay with us with part of the
- 10:36Speaker 5: morning and have a partially good day. But we hope
- 10:39Speaker 5: we do something that will sustain you for the whole day.
- 10:41Speaker 5: That's the objective of Steve Harvey Morning Show. Glad you
- 10:45Speaker 5: understand it, because I don't know what hell I just said.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Hey, Charley, you just said, good heavy Friday. Yeah, you
- 10:53Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. What it is?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Calling for real? O, please listen for oh our Lord Jesus.
- 11:03Speaker 8: On and King of the Pranks Nephew, tell me yes, sir,
- 11:09Speaker 8: Top of the morning, sir, top top top time.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Oh oh oh, I got no no, no, no, no, Tommy, Tommy,
- 11:19Speaker 5: I want and ordered. I'm accustomed to go for the end.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It is my fault.
- 11:30Speaker 4: It ain't your fault.
- 11:31Speaker 5: As surprised as I am, you must be, for guess
- 11:36Speaker 5: who the hell is here today?
- 11:38Speaker 1: That damn better man, Anthony Brown.
- 11:42Speaker 4: It is not your fault.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't blame yet.
- 11:45Speaker 4: We went into the orniment your custom to you absolutely and.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Then and let me tell you something else.
- 11:52Speaker 3: He ain't even on zoom.
- 11:53Speaker 4: So now out of sight, out of mind to say,
- 11:55Speaker 4: out of mine? Right, what is this?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Jay and Andy Brown?
- 12:00Speaker 3: You speaking?
- 12:01Speaker 1: He knew.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Orientation I'm having today.
- 12:09Speaker 5: It's a long story. It's such a long story. It
- 12:13Speaker 5: goes back to nineteen eighty five.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Just a long story.
- 12:19Speaker 9: We have time.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Well, you know, I got started in comedy at a
- 12:24Speaker 5: hilaritious comedy club in Cyahoga Falls, and finally this guy
- 12:28Speaker 5: named Tom Sober I got his finally got his attention
- 12:32Speaker 5: and send him a table.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I've only been in the business a few months.
- 12:37Speaker 5: And I got I had I had fifteen maybe twenty,
- 12:42Speaker 5: and I was begging to be booked as opening act.
- 12:45Speaker 5: And he gave me my first traveling gig. And the
- 12:49Speaker 5: first night I drove from Cleveland O House, Bloomington, Indiana
- 12:55Speaker 5: to a one night bar on a college station, and
- 12:58Speaker 5: it was called Nick's.
- 13:00Speaker 10: Mm hm.
- 13:01Speaker 1: They had accidentally booked two blacks on the same.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Back in the day.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Oh that was back in the day.
- 13:10Speaker 3: They could not.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yet they didn't. No, Oh wow, it was it was
- 13:16Speaker 1: very it was it was racing.
- 13:18Speaker 9: Yeah, that was sure.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So I get to the gig.
- 13:25Speaker 5: And I'll tell you when the writ come back, how
- 13:30Speaker 5: I met the best friend and biggest food all at
- 13:34Speaker 5: the same time.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I ever had all right part.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Two of them Stephen j story coming up, as well
- 13:40Speaker 6: as at the clo at thirty two minutes after right
- 13:42Speaker 6: after this.
- 13:44Speaker 9: You're listening morning show. All right, Steve, you were telling
- 13:48Speaker 9: us how you and Jay.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Met, So we met.
- 13:52Speaker 5: I had finally got booked my first out of town gig.
- 13:55Speaker 5: I was going overnight. I was excited. It was a
- 13:58Speaker 5: series of one night as Tom So it was comedy caravan.
- 14:01Speaker 5: I drive in and I go to the hotel and
- 14:06Speaker 5: they huh it was yeah, Red Rufin in Bloomington, Indiana
- 14:12Speaker 5: perform that place called Nicks.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I go to Red Rufinn and they say, your roommate
- 14:17Speaker 1: is already here, and he gave me the room.
- 14:21Speaker 5: I said, well, damn, okay, well I ain't. I got
- 14:23Speaker 5: eleven dollars, so I don't care who it is. I
- 14:27Speaker 5: got to go upstairs. I knock on the door and
- 14:30Speaker 5: Jay Anthony opens the door.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Wow, said, but he had his stuff all over the
- 14:36Speaker 1: damn room.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Bed.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Yeah, he was making his pants that he was gonna
- 14:44Speaker 5: wear that night. Because what a lot of people don't know,
- 14:49Speaker 5: Jay is a really, really good tailor. He can really
- 14:52Speaker 5: make clothes. That was his profession before I met him.
- 14:57Speaker 5: So I look at the bed, but I say, hey man,
- 15:00Speaker 5: I'm your roommate. My name is Steve Harp. He said,
- 15:02Speaker 5: you can't stay in here. Now I'm looking at him.
- 15:07Speaker 5: He don't know how hard I am.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Not that you couldn't stay in there. I had so
- 15:12Speaker 4: much stuff you really could not stay in there.
- 15:18Speaker 5: He had an extra TV. I saw a foe cord
- 15:22Speaker 5: all the way across the room. I said, what is
- 15:24Speaker 5: this stude doing? I said, well, I said, my man,
- 15:28Speaker 5: I don't know what to tell you this. I got
- 15:30Speaker 5: to stay here.
- 15:30Speaker 1: He said, you go.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Downstairs because this ain't camp, and get yourself another room.
- 15:36Speaker 1: He don't know.
- 15:36Speaker 5: I got eleven dollars and say, I'm a man. I
- 15:39Speaker 5: can't go downstairs and get no room. I ain't got
- 15:41Speaker 5: no money for that. Now I'm looking at him because
- 15:43Speaker 5: I'm hot now, and I said, well, now I'm tight.
- 15:48Speaker 5: So he said, hey man, him and Jay gave me
- 15:52Speaker 5: thirty dollars. I said, go down there and get your room. Man,
- 15:56Speaker 5: and I went down there and got a room. And
- 15:58Speaker 5: the first time somebody ever done it like that for me,
- 16:00Speaker 5: I got my room.
- 16:01Speaker 1: You had thirty dollars. Yeah, he used the headline I had.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Jay was making eighteen week when I met him. Oh, donkey,
- 16:15Speaker 1: you was balling Jay Dogs.
- 16:17Speaker 5: So I went back up to his room because I
- 16:20Speaker 5: saw all that stuff, and I said, hey, man, I
- 16:23Speaker 5: saw you had an iron in here. Can I use
- 16:26Speaker 5: your iron so I can press my clothes for the night.
- 16:29Speaker 5: He said, man, you gotta you gotta start getting this stuff.
- 16:31Speaker 5: You're gonna be on the road. And I said, okay,
- 16:34Speaker 5: hold up, hold up, you know he in word, I
- 16:37Speaker 5: ain't finn here all this, Yeah to back dog.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I was real.
- 16:42Speaker 11: He was trying to help me, but I thought he
- 16:44Speaker 11: was so humble when I tell you he was, Oh
- 16:48Speaker 11: really he can't let me tell, let me finish.
- 16:50Speaker 4: He came back up. He had his hat rolled up
- 16:52Speaker 4: like a like a yard worker.
- 16:54Speaker 8: Man.
- 16:54Speaker 4: He was sweating and everything. I ain't want to have
- 16:58Speaker 4: an iron.
- 16:58Speaker 5: And.
- 17:00Speaker 4: So did you beat somever holding? I know you give
- 17:03Speaker 4: me any money, didn't get the room, and never a thing,
- 17:05Speaker 4: but you beats over holding it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Give me Let me use you.
- 17:10Speaker 4: I don't have a nine.
- 17:13Speaker 7: Nine.
- 17:18Speaker 1: So I went across the street to Target and bought
- 17:20Speaker 1: a nine dollar iron.
- 17:23Speaker 5: So I ironed my outfit. At we meet up at
- 17:27Speaker 5: the club. Jay had a powder blue.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Pinto full of stuff.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Man packed to the one all the way to the back.
- 17:38Speaker 5: I go get my shoes and put them on, and
- 17:41Speaker 5: I go out there and I watched Jaffrey Brown Lord
- 17:44Speaker 5: have mercy Jesus.
- 17:46Speaker 1: He was the most brilliant actor boy I had bever
- 17:51Speaker 1: seen in comedy. Man.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I set there in complete and utter off. He told
- 17:57Speaker 5: me I to show. He said, you're pretty funny, man.
- 18:00Speaker 1: A couple of moves you need to learn, but even
- 18:03Speaker 1: where you're gonna be pretty funny. I said, Man, if
- 18:05Speaker 1: I could be funny, this boy right here. So we
- 18:08Speaker 1: was on tour the rest dog he was. He had
- 18:13Speaker 1: the white folks laughing. So and you know it was
- 18:15Speaker 1: no black headliners ever.
- 18:17Speaker 4: There wasn't nobody, but there was no black audience either, Timmy.
- 18:22Speaker 5: The only black headliners was j Anthony Brown, Byron Allen
- 18:26Speaker 5: and George Wallace.
- 18:29Speaker 8: Bad.
- 18:30Speaker 1: But you know, I never saw sitting back because he
- 18:32Speaker 1: was too big. You know, he was on Star Search
- 18:35Speaker 1: and all that said. I was sitting up here, going, man,
- 18:40Speaker 1: this is the greatest dude.
- 18:42Speaker 5: We stayed together that whole week and we got to
- 18:44Speaker 5: the weekend and we had a gig that was two
- 18:47Speaker 5: nights in Columbus, Ohio, and one night. Man after the
- 18:52Speaker 5: show the first night, he said, y'all, I want to
- 18:54Speaker 5: bring up a guy that's gonna be great in this business.
- 18:57Speaker 5: One day and I was to open there, he said,
- 19:00Speaker 5: come on back up, man, close the show out with me.
- 19:02Speaker 5: And we stood on stage and sang that song why
- 19:06Speaker 5: can't We be friend? Hands, why can't we be friend?
- 19:11Speaker 5: And we had our arm round each other on stage
- 19:13Speaker 5: and all the white people joined in. Jay Jah went
- 19:18Speaker 5: home that night. Man, I was so emotional sitting on
- 19:21Speaker 5: my bed. Man, I said, Man, this dude said I
- 19:24Speaker 5: was gonna be great. And then the next night we
- 19:27Speaker 5: closed the show the same way. We exchanged phone numbers.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Wasn't no cell phones, and we made a pack. We said, hey, man,
- 19:35Speaker 5: if you ever need me, call me and leave a message.
- 19:39Speaker 5: I checked my messages every four hours. And then we
- 19:42Speaker 5: became friends. And he said, then we got so close.
- 19:46Speaker 5: I said, hey, man, if you ever get in trouble,
- 19:49Speaker 5: just leave may day on the machine.
- 19:53Speaker 1: May Day.
- 19:54Speaker 5: And that's when we knew somebody was in trouble and
- 19:56Speaker 5: we had to get in our car try to find
- 19:59Speaker 5: him first time.
- 20:01Speaker 1: He was none of that.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Back in the day, she found my book, my entire book.
- 20:09Speaker 1: What happened.
- 20:10Speaker 4: We ain't got to go into who, but it was found. Okay.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Jay had a diary, oh that he kept record of
- 20:20Speaker 5: everything he did. He wrote down all his thoughts and everything.
- 20:24Speaker 5: And he left it at this girl's house and he
- 20:29Speaker 5: called me and he said, may day, and it just
- 20:32Speaker 5: so happened. I'm going to Memphis. Now I knew the
- 20:36Speaker 5: girl was Okay, I knew the girl because we had talked.
- 20:39Speaker 5: We we knew each other's people, you know. And he said, man,
- 20:44Speaker 5: she found the book.
- 20:47Speaker 6: God, God, all right, guys, you gotta wrap up.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Thank you, Thank you.
- 20:56Speaker 9: You're listening. Morning show time.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Now for ask the c l O.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Chief Love Office is the Cloe, as a nephew calls him.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Steve Harvey is in the building. Now, Steve, I know
- 21:07Speaker 6: you're ready, but you may not be ready for this name. Okay,
- 21:11Speaker 6: Okay Satchel in Louisiana.
- 21:17Speaker 1: To answer this question.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I want to thank Jesus, my heavenly father Lord answer.
- 21:26Speaker 5: I've wanted nothing more in my career that somebody named
- 21:31Speaker 5: Satchel to ask me. So come on, you gotta come on,
- 21:37Speaker 5: I'm answer this fully, all right, Satchel says, before you asked.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Me the question, this is gonna be an old ass issue.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Let's just say that.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Watch you know this, all right, hasteve. You and I
- 21:53Speaker 6: are the same age, and I'm like you. I'm still
- 21:57Speaker 6: out here trying to find the right lady and settled down.
- 22:01Speaker 9: I got a divorce. I got a divorce, and my.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Wife took me to the cleaners. So it's hard to
- 22:06Speaker 6: bring ladies to my one bedroom apartment. At my age,
- 22:10Speaker 6: I dress nicely and I still have a nice car,
- 22:13Speaker 6: but I can't bring a woman back to my home.
- 22:16Speaker 6: I get a retirement check, but it's not much, so
- 22:19Speaker 6: I'm working full time again.
- 22:21Speaker 9: How can I get my swagger back?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Give a three bedroom, Satchel. You can't afford it now.
- 22:29Speaker 1: She took it to the bank. She took you to
- 22:32Speaker 1: the cleaners.
- 22:32Speaker 5: You can't cut back money on what you eat, and
- 22:35Speaker 5: you can't cut back money on where you live. And
- 22:38Speaker 5: if you embass to bring them back to a one bedroom,
- 22:41Speaker 5: put you a three bedroom, put you a cigar lounge
- 22:44Speaker 5: in there, and another room sort of looked like you
- 22:48Speaker 5: bout something. You gonna have to spread a little bit, Satchel,
- 22:51Speaker 5: and get you a little bit, got to get a
- 22:54Speaker 5: little bit more. See if you gonna get your swag back,
- 22:57Speaker 5: when you get your pag back, that's what's slowing you down.
- 23:01Speaker 5: See if that's the stopping point, you gotta cut your
- 23:04Speaker 5: corner somewhere else.
- 23:06Speaker 1: But you can't cut your corners on what you eat.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Where you go to dinner, and and and where you
- 23:11Speaker 5: sleep them two places you can't cut corners.
- 23:14Speaker 6: Well, he says he dresses nicely and he still has
- 23:16Speaker 6: a nice car, so you think he's good.
- 23:19Speaker 1: He just got to quit pulling up to that efficiency.
- 23:24Speaker 9: All right, Sachel, Wow, uh huh you heard.
- 23:28Speaker 8: It from.
- 23:31Speaker 1: No, hell no, don't give nothing back or put it
- 23:35Speaker 1: on with Satchel. It ain't ever too late. Listen to me.
- 23:39Speaker 1: How's he gonna get a three bedroo?
- 23:40Speaker 5: Longtimes figured that because Tommy, that's the one thing that's
- 23:45Speaker 5: stopping him. He's ashamed of what he taking him back to. Well,
- 23:50Speaker 5: you got the spring for more, So get another job.
- 23:54Speaker 5: He can get his hustle up. He got something he
- 23:57Speaker 5: can do. Everybody man stop it admitting to defeat. Okay,
- 24:02Speaker 5: Sometimes the answer I ain't to cut back. The answer
- 24:04Speaker 5: is to make mo Why is everybody's answer to everything
- 24:07Speaker 5: cut back? Why would God take you to a place
- 24:10Speaker 5: and not allow you to stay there? Okay, get your
- 24:13Speaker 5: hustle on and get you a three bedroom ain't no, damn.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Maybe I'm talking to Satchel Tom. You ain't in that
- 24:19Speaker 5: age group.
- 24:21Speaker 1: You mate, certain need to play some more baseball here.
- 24:25Speaker 9: Sexual page, You're a crazy man.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Come right here we go moving on.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Tanisha and Saint Louis says, I'm a twenty eight year
- 24:34Speaker 6: old engaged female and my fiance is a great provider,
- 24:37Speaker 6: but he's childish. I moved in with him to get
- 24:41Speaker 6: settled before our wedding, and I have to share a
- 24:43Speaker 6: closet with his comic books and action figures. He comes
- 24:47Speaker 6: home from work and plays his PS five that he
- 24:49Speaker 6: got himself for Christmas. He also has a helicopter and
- 24:53Speaker 6: a drone that he flies around the neighborhood. Living with
- 24:56Speaker 6: him has exposed another side to him. Is this just
- 24:59Speaker 6: a phase or should I concerned about his behavior?
- 25:02Speaker 5: No, there ain't no phase. He damn there thirty Yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 5: you got action figures in your clause at third Comic
- 25:10Speaker 5: books and comic books boy, and you fly drones? Around there, man,
- 25:16Speaker 5: And you bought a PS five for Christmas.
- 25:18Speaker 1: That's what you play with. Man.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Hey, little girl, you don't see that. Okay, okay, them
- 25:27Speaker 5: red flags, don't collect them.
- 25:31Speaker 1: She gonna get dressed and all the avengers in the corset.
- 25:34Speaker 9: Yeah, you're right, you're right, Philo. Do not enjoy these
- 25:41Speaker 9: red flags. Wow, these are my red flags.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Better now than later that. Yeah, you just a fiancee.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Yeah you walk out now? All right?
- 25:54Speaker 10: All right, here we go DJ and Huntsville.
- 26:00Speaker 6: My husband found a few text messages between me and
- 26:03Speaker 6: my male coworker. The guy asked personal questions like what
- 26:07Speaker 6: I sleep in and what's my favorite perfume. I played
- 26:10Speaker 6: it off by telling my husband he was getting a
- 26:12Speaker 6: gift for his girlfriend. My crazy husband called the guy
- 26:15Speaker 6: and I had no idea until I went to work
- 26:18Speaker 6: and my cupworker went off on me and told me
- 26:20Speaker 6: I need to learn how to delete my texes. My
- 26:23Speaker 6: husband and this guy are mad at me, and it's
- 26:26Speaker 6: all over a few text messages that weren't that bad.
- 26:29Speaker 9: What should I do?
- 26:31Speaker 5: Wait a minute, hold on, hold on, man, how your
- 26:34Speaker 5: coworker getting mad at you.
- 26:38Speaker 1: For not deleting your messages and you married? What are
- 26:43Speaker 1: you asking you what you sleep in? Fault?
- 26:45Speaker 3: Right?
- 26:46Speaker 5: You lied and said it was cause he was trying
- 26:48Speaker 5: to get his girlfriend? What the hell he mad at you?
- 26:50Speaker 1: Fault cause you didn't.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Delete your text messages now unless lady, it's a little
- 26:57Speaker 5: bit more to the text message than you enjoy them.
- 27:00Speaker 5: And he's sitting up in here. You told me you
- 27:02Speaker 5: was deleting this stuff and you didn't. Now this man
- 27:05Speaker 5: came up here and checked me. I just signed up
- 27:07Speaker 5: for no ass whooping. I was just trying to get
- 27:09Speaker 5: a little extra unless that's the case right now, then,
- 27:15Speaker 5: I don't know what you want us to do because
- 27:18Speaker 5: you gave this man your number at work and he
- 27:22Speaker 5: texting you asking you what you sleep in and all
- 27:25Speaker 5: this hit wasn't for his girlfriend and you know it.
- 27:29Speaker 5: So how you want us to fix this for you?
- 27:32Speaker 5: This situation you started since to come on? Got be
- 27:36Speaker 5: kidding me?
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yep?
- 27:39Speaker 5: At least you just a warning shot. But it's an
- 27:43Speaker 5: ass whooping the next time for sure due to the
- 27:47Speaker 5: dude I'm talking about. To the dude, Yeah no, that's
- 27:49Speaker 5: what I'm saying. Yeah, that's exactly what's gonna happen to
- 27:52Speaker 5: And he know it too, because He's already called by
- 27:54Speaker 5: her husband that text again asking about something else she's wearing.
- 27:59Speaker 9: All right, we got to move on. Thank you, Clo.
- 28:02Speaker 6: You're listening to Harvey Morning Show. Well, the icon, the legend,
- 28:09Speaker 6: the queen of rock and roll, the one and only
- 28:11Speaker 6: Tina Turner has passed away. Now, this was after an
- 28:16Speaker 6: extended illness. The illness was undisclosed.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Ms.
- 28:21Speaker 9: Tina was eighty three years old.
- 28:23Speaker 6: Angela Bassid paid tribute to the late Tina Turner, whom
- 28:26Speaker 6: she portrayed, of Course, in the nineteen ninety three movie
- 28:29Speaker 6: What's Love Got to Do with It? Angela said, in
- 28:32Speaker 6: part quote, how do we say farewell to a woman
- 28:36Speaker 6: who owned her paint and trauma and used it as
- 28:39Speaker 6: a means to help change the world through her courage
- 28:43Speaker 6: and telling her story, her commitment to stay the course
- 28:46Speaker 6: in her life, no matter the sacrifice, and her determination
- 28:50Speaker 6: to carve out a space and rock and roll for
- 28:52Speaker 6: herself and for others who look like her. Other stars
- 28:57Speaker 6: have paid tribute to the late great Tina Turner, of course,
- 29:00Speaker 6: Oprah who was her friend, Ringo Starr, one of the Beatles, Elton, John,
- 29:05Speaker 6: Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart,
- 29:10Speaker 6: Mick Jagger, and of course Beyonce.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Wow wow, yeah, true legend, true, true legend. That was
- 29:20Speaker 1: really you know, that was that was a shocker.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Yesterday I found out while I was working, guy came
- 29:30Speaker 5: out on stage and told me on a commercial break
- 29:34Speaker 5: and he said it to me whispered, and I repeated it,
- 29:37Speaker 5: but I had my mic on in front of the
- 29:41Speaker 5: audience and they just gasped, you know. But you know,
- 29:48Speaker 5: and then after that the whole thing started that they
- 29:51Speaker 5: got all these lists out about the top fifty iconic
- 29:56Speaker 5: female voices, the top thirty best females who change the music,
- 30:03Speaker 5: and Tina Turners on all those lists, just all of
- 30:07Speaker 5: the lists, you know, rightfully, So, I mean, you know,
- 30:11Speaker 5: you know, when things like this happened, you know, we
- 30:13Speaker 5: all started saying things. Now, I never met her, and
- 30:16Speaker 5: I never had the opportunity to meet there ever before.
- 30:19Speaker 5: It's just she just had one of those careers. I
- 30:22Speaker 5: think what happened, similar to what Angela Bassett was saying,
- 30:27Speaker 5: was her walk, her walk. Her life story was such
- 30:32Speaker 5: an inspiration to so many, you know, who come from
- 30:37Speaker 5: the bottom or who go through hard times. Tribulations and
- 30:41Speaker 5: still somehow by the grace of God making. I think
- 30:45Speaker 5: she had one of those types of lives that was
- 30:48Speaker 5: a testimony to grit and faith and endurance and uplifting
- 30:53Speaker 5: perseverance and you know, I just think it was one
- 30:56Speaker 5: of those types of lives.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Man.
- 30:58Speaker 6: Yeah, she brooks many any barriers, Steve she I mean
- 31:02Speaker 6: from age you know, she was doing rock and roll
- 31:05Speaker 6: when she came up. Then, you know, they were saying
- 31:08Speaker 6: that she was I mean, she was doing R and
- 31:10Speaker 6: B when she came up. Then they were saying she
- 31:12Speaker 6: aged out, you know, but then she wanted to prove
- 31:15Speaker 6: that she could not only do R and B, but
- 31:17Speaker 6: she could also do rock and roll. You know, she
- 31:20Speaker 6: had so many doors closed in her face, but she persevered.
- 31:24Speaker 6: I mean even after what she had gone through with Ike,
- 31:27Speaker 6: and she persevered. Then she wanted to break into movies.
- 31:30Speaker 4: She was able to do that.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I mean, just on and on.
- 31:33Speaker 6: What a testament her life is for never giving up
- 31:37Speaker 6: and to you know, just to continue going in spite
- 31:41Speaker 6: of everything, just keep it moving.
- 31:43Speaker 2: And that's what she did and inspired so many people.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I mean, you look at Beyonce today on stage. If
- 31:53Speaker 2: she the way she performs, does not remind you of
- 31:57Speaker 2: Tina Turner all the way, all the concerts, Tina Turner's concerts.
- 32:06Speaker 1: So many people at her concerts. I've seen concerts live, yes.
- 32:14Speaker 9: Oh yes, yes, yes, yes, so many of them. The energy,
- 32:19Speaker 9: the beauty from.
- 32:21Speaker 8: Lud Bush, Tennessee, good girl as lyrics, lyrics, ad a Son.
- 32:31Speaker 6: Just everything about her, everything, her iconic legs.
- 32:36Speaker 9: I mean, who had the legs, those legs.
- 32:40Speaker 1: What's your favorite though, Proud Mary? What's pro Mary?
- 32:43Speaker 4: All day?
- 32:44Speaker 1: Pro Mary? See what's your favorite? Of course? My favorite
- 32:48Speaker 1: is What's Love Got to Do? What's Love got to
- 32:51Speaker 1: Do with? That was probably my favorite song.
- 32:55Speaker 5: You know, it was just crazy the way she worked, uh,
- 33:00Speaker 5: her her work ethic, I mean, what she endured. It's
- 33:03Speaker 5: just it's just one of them stories. Man, it's a
- 33:06Speaker 5: Cinderella story. But this Cinderella story was was racked with pain.
- 33:13Speaker 5: And it was a public pain too, and I mean
- 33:16Speaker 5: it was it was well documented and known what was
- 33:19Speaker 5: happening to this woman, you know, in her personal life.
- 33:22Speaker 5: And again, you know, you know, we get in the
- 33:26Speaker 5: mix like this was in a week, this was Jim Brown.
- 33:29Speaker 5: You know, a lot wasn't said about the passing of
- 33:32Speaker 5: Jim Brown. But you know, if you're from Cleveland and
- 33:36Speaker 5: or if you're really a real football fan, you understood
- 33:40Speaker 5: what the passing of Jim Brown meant man, you know,
- 33:44Speaker 5: just in terms of social justice and what he did
- 33:47Speaker 5: for black people, and how he stood up as an athlete,
- 33:50Speaker 5: how he threw all caution to the wind. How they him,
- 33:54Speaker 5: Kareem Abdude, Jabbar, Bill Russell and everybody went to the
- 34:00Speaker 5: aid of Mohammad al Li when he decided not to
- 34:02Speaker 5: be inducted, when he refused to fight in the Vietnam War.
- 34:07Speaker 5: How they all rallied around him. A gym was there,
- 34:10Speaker 5: a gym was there before that. And so you know,
- 34:15Speaker 5: this this week right here is you know, losing two
- 34:18Speaker 5: icons in a week is tough. But because they were
- 34:21Speaker 5: so much older, you know, as opposed to a Kobe
- 34:26Speaker 5: passing or something like that, you know, it just didn't
- 34:29Speaker 5: get the social media.
- 34:30Speaker 1: And now Tina's getting social media.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of accolades, you know, but sometimes this
- 34:39Speaker 5: younger generation just doesn't really know the applications and the
- 34:45Speaker 5: impact that some of these people had that made it
- 34:49Speaker 5: even possible for your new stars to survive, thrive and
- 34:53Speaker 5: do the things they do all right.
- 34:56Speaker 6: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 34:58Speaker 6: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:00Speaker 9: Right after this you're listening Morning Show. The Queen of
- 35:06Speaker 9: rock and roll, Tina Turner, has passed away.
- 35:10Speaker 6: What a shocker this was MS. Tina was eighty three
- 35:14Speaker 6: years old, Steve. Her concerts were amazing. Former President Barack
- 35:19Speaker 6: Obama said that Tina Turner was raw, she was powerful,
- 35:24Speaker 6: she was unstoppable, and she was on apologetically herself, speaking
- 35:29Speaker 6: and singing her truth through joy and pain, triumph and tragedy.
- 35:34Speaker 6: Today we joined fans around the world and honoring the queen.
- 35:38Speaker 9: Of rock and roll. And that's so true.
- 35:40Speaker 6: She was global and they're calling her story one of
- 35:44Speaker 6: the greatest or the greatest comeback story in the history
- 35:47Speaker 6: of music because of what she endured and how she
- 35:50Speaker 6: came back, and it was on top of not just
- 35:53Speaker 6: the United States, but the world the great seeing.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Her as a kid, seeing her on the Johnny Carson Show,
- 36:00Speaker 1: she was major man.
- 36:01Speaker 9: She choreographed those those dance moves that she did with
- 36:05Speaker 9: the Ike.
- 36:05Speaker 5: The show that the well, ain't nobody else know how
- 36:09Speaker 5: to do it, and had nobody done it before?
- 36:14Speaker 1: So there was just it had to be her, you know,
- 36:17Speaker 1: I was reading on to k S.
- 36:19Speaker 2: They were saying that back in March, she talked about
- 36:22Speaker 2: her health and not taking better care of herself when
- 36:26Speaker 2: it came to issues with her kidney, and that she
- 36:30Speaker 2: should have taken medication more regular, you know, to help
- 36:34Speaker 2: with hot blood pressure, you know, the chronic diseases that
- 36:38Speaker 2: set in as you age, high cholesterol.
- 36:41Speaker 5: Yeah, whenever we lose somebody, there's lessons to be learned,
- 36:44Speaker 5: even at loss. You know, often say behind every moment
- 36:48Speaker 5: of adversity, there's a lesson and a blessing, you know.
- 36:52Speaker 5: And I mean we should take the time out, just
- 36:55Speaker 5: like they do at most funerals, to remind people that
- 36:59Speaker 5: those of us that are still here that we got
- 37:02Speaker 5: to be mindful that were on that same path. And
- 37:06Speaker 5: you know, you can quicken the trip, you can worsen
- 37:09Speaker 5: the trip, or you can lengthen the trip, or you
- 37:12Speaker 5: can smooth out the trip with the decisions that we make.
- 37:16Speaker 1: And a lot of these issues we have and are
- 37:18Speaker 1: health issues. And it's sad to hear.
- 37:21Speaker 5: When a person says, I should have took better care
- 37:24Speaker 5: of myself, I should have been a little bit more
- 37:26Speaker 5: mindful of my medicine schedule. I should have watched what
- 37:29Speaker 5: I eat. And I think that all of us, you know,
- 37:33Speaker 5: have something to learn from that statement. Right then, I
- 37:36Speaker 5: wish I had it because I don't want to wait
- 37:39Speaker 5: until I can't do anything about my health.

- 39:33Speaker 11: Don't go up there, don't go up there. All right,
- 39:36Speaker 11: ways to start argument. Say this phrase right here.

- 40:16Speaker 5: Some damn good job, Becky. What's she doing something? As
- 40:21Speaker 5: gots to be commenting on it?
- 40:23Speaker 11: This my new book, how to start an argument as
- 40:26Speaker 11: your mate, your lady? When's when's your friend coming over here?
- 40:31Speaker 3: You know when she over here?
- 40:38Speaker 1: In the while? Where is she coming here?

- 41:14Speaker 1: I've seen that. I've seen it.
- 41:16Speaker 4: I've seen it. Here's another one.
- 41:18Speaker 11: Here's another one. Ways of starting arguments. You on the
- 41:22Speaker 11: phone and you laugh real damn loud.
- 41:26Speaker 4: And then you stopped whispering.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Till you've been married a bunch of boys. This is
- 41:38Speaker 1: why he's divorced. You know how to run somebody off?
- 41:43Speaker 1: Can I get you one?
- 41:44Speaker 4: Give me one, give me one. I put it in
- 41:46Speaker 4: the book.

- 42:03Speaker 12: Yeah, man, yeah, bt, some running shoes that do it.
- 42:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 42:14Speaker 12: All of a sudden, all of a setting in the
- 42:16Speaker 12: middle of the day.
- 42:17Speaker 4: You put on a clean shirt.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You woke up in one shirt, put on another? What
- 42:25Speaker 1: you change your shirts for?
- 42:27Speaker 4: Can I just put on a new shirt?
- 42:29Speaker 5: No?
- 42:31Speaker 1: No, you cannot. What was wrong with all? Can just
- 42:34Speaker 1: go with the book?
- 42:35Speaker 13: Jack?
- 42:35Speaker 4: Can I just had one more last one moment?
- 42:42Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 42:43Speaker 1: Ways to start an argument in your house, guaranteed? What
- 42:48Speaker 1: come in from work and pull your pants off and
- 42:50Speaker 1: they ain't got no drawers? I thank you and Steve,
- 43:02Speaker 1: you just command with you.
- 43:04Speaker 3: I'm nephew.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Up next with today's today's prank phone call.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Right afterday.
- 43:12Speaker 9: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 43:16Speaker 6: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 43:18Speaker 6: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today's subject.
- 43:22Speaker 6: There are way there were way too many people in
- 43:25Speaker 6: one bed.
- 43:29Speaker 1: What is that about? Way too CALFORNI king, baby? You
- 43:33Speaker 1: need a California king.
- 43:36Speaker 7: Right now.
- 43:36Speaker 6: We'll get into the strawberry letter later, but right now
- 43:39Speaker 6: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 43:41Speaker 9: What you got for its nep what's on the menu?
- 43:46Speaker 1: This one? Here is this one?
- 43:49Speaker 8: Here is check settlement, cat dog, if you could check settlement?
- 43:56Speaker 4: Thank you?
- 43:57Speaker 1: Hello, right, I'm trying to reach outs.
- 44:00Speaker 8: Please, how you doing? It's attorney over the associates. Huh,
- 44:05Speaker 8: all right, I want to give you a call. I
- 44:07Speaker 8: just got your file that hit my desk, and we
- 44:09Speaker 8: got a check going after you on Monday. You came
- 44:11Speaker 8: in yesterday, correct, Yes, Okay, listen, we got a few
- 44:15Speaker 8: low glitches here. We want to go over with I
- 44:18Speaker 8: want to go over with you and make sure we
- 44:20Speaker 8: get this all ironed out before you come in on Monday,
- 44:23Speaker 8: and I'll have a check definitely waiting on you when
- 44:25Speaker 8: you get here. All right, You're supposed to be getting
- 44:28Speaker 8: six four hundred and ten dollars okay, Unfortunately is being
- 44:32Speaker 8: reduced to twelve hundred due to injuries not being as
- 44:37Speaker 8: as bad as they say. It was a lot of
- 44:39Speaker 8: calculations got really mixed up on our paperwork here. And
- 44:41Speaker 8: please keep in mind that on the twelve hundred, we
- 44:44Speaker 8: still haven't taken out I fee, which is like about
- 44:46Speaker 8: thirty three and the third. We'll have a check for
- 44:48Speaker 8: you on Monday in the ballpark of four to five
- 44:50Speaker 8: hundred dollars.
- 44:51Speaker 7: Oh hold up, okay, I'm still getting it. So what
- 44:56Speaker 7: was the total monk that y'all got from the loss
- 44:58Speaker 7: from from the should.
- 45:01Speaker 8: Evidently the person that did these calculations completely did them wrong.
- 45:04Speaker 1: I do apologize for.
- 45:06Speaker 8: This being a mishap on our part and it's totally
- 45:09Speaker 8: screwed up, and I do apologize on the behalf of
- 45:12Speaker 8: the of the association here that we've dropped the ball
- 45:15Speaker 8: on that. But your actual check has been reduced to
- 45:18Speaker 8: twelve hundred dollars, okay, and that's without us taking the
- 45:22Speaker 8: law fees out of it.
- 45:23Speaker 7: So I just found right because I was six thousand
- 45:28Speaker 7: dollars cover the doctor bill and the cop practice.
- 45:31Speaker 8: Well, from my understanding, man, what they're also stating is
- 45:34Speaker 8: that your injuries are not that bad, and I don't
- 45:37Speaker 8: want to be the bear of bad news.
- 45:38Speaker 1: They're actually wondering if you were actually hurt at all.
- 45:42Speaker 7: So I even had to get injections okay from the contractice.
- 45:46Speaker 8: Okay, And do you have any I have some medical
- 45:49Speaker 8: documents here, and I understand that you've been going and
- 45:52Speaker 8: you probably look like you went over at least at
- 45:54Speaker 8: least two months going to the doctor and getting and
- 45:57Speaker 8: getting therapy.
- 45:58Speaker 2: And I was his call.
- 46:00Speaker 7: That's a chiropractice car. That wasn't my decision, Okay.
- 46:04Speaker 8: Well at this call from my injury exactly, and a
- 46:07Speaker 8: lot of a lot of these doctor fees, and that
- 46:09Speaker 8: you've gone to eating up a lot of these funds.
- 46:12Speaker 8: And I tell you, these doctor bills they get pretty
- 46:15Speaker 8: high out there. I do want to apologize what we're
- 46:17Speaker 8: gonna do here, since we've dropped the ball on this.
- 46:20Speaker 8: We're gonna give you the check for twelve hundred and
- 46:22Speaker 8: not even take the loft fees out of it, and
- 46:24Speaker 8: I'll have that check waiting on you on Monday morning.
- 46:27Speaker 7: That's just okay. I understand what you're saying, but I'm
- 46:30Speaker 7: trying to figure out is from the I need to
- 46:34Speaker 7: see some paperwork of saying stating what was the total
- 46:38Speaker 7: mount check that was written from the insurance company, plus
- 46:42Speaker 7: what was the portion that was supposed to be taken
- 46:44Speaker 7: out for the chiropractic plus it was the point that
- 46:45Speaker 7: was supposed to be taken out from a doctor's itself.
- 46:49Speaker 7: That you're telling me six thousand that's not gonna wouldn't
- 46:52Speaker 7: have covered that and leave me with only twelve hundred.
- 46:54Speaker 8: Okay, I'm not at liberty to let you look at
- 46:56Speaker 8: this paperwork anymore. I'm calling you basically to let you know,
- 47:01Speaker 8: I have a twelve hundred dollars check for you. If
- 47:02Speaker 8: you don't want that, then you can go ahead and
- 47:05Speaker 8: take some other legal life.
- 47:06Speaker 7: I mean, that isn't sign of right, Robert. I mean
- 47:10Speaker 7: from the entire month, because I got the paperwork from
- 47:13Speaker 7: the contract to stating what mat was paid.
- 47:15Speaker 8: I understand that, ma'am. What I'm trying to let you
- 47:18Speaker 8: number issues there there. What's going on right now is
- 47:20Speaker 8: the response coming back is that you're not actually hurt
- 47:23Speaker 8: at all. That's what they're saying. They're saying you're not
- 47:26Speaker 8: hated at all. Actually, I don't want to use the words,
- 47:29Speaker 8: but they're saying that you've been faking this the whole time.
- 47:32Speaker 7: I need to see some paperweight with far to check it.
- 47:34Speaker 7: This doesn't sound right, That doesn't make any sense.
- 47:37Speaker 8: Well, all right now, you know I'm the last person
- 47:39Speaker 8: that that this file is gonna come across. It's coming
- 47:42Speaker 8: across my desk. This is pretty much a take it
- 47:44Speaker 8: or leave it option, you know.
- 47:45Speaker 7: And if you don't leave, no, no, no no no,
- 47:49Speaker 7: I mean you let me get at to me because
- 47:50Speaker 7: you are my lord and I am your client.
- 47:53Speaker 8: Well, you're not gonna raise your voice you're not gonna
- 47:55Speaker 8: raise your voice said to me, that's not gonna happen either.
- 47:58Speaker 8: So let's let's pipe it down a bit. Okay, now
- 48:02Speaker 8: here's what we're gonna do. Do you want the twelve
- 48:04Speaker 8: hundred dollars check or do you not want it?
- 48:07Speaker 1: Now?
- 48:07Speaker 8: I've already wavered the fees of the of the attorneys here.
- 48:10Speaker 8: Do you want the twelve hundred or do you want
- 48:12Speaker 8: me to reduce it to four hundred?
- 48:13Speaker 7: No, I don't want twelve hundred Because'm gonna take you
- 48:15Speaker 7: to court. So that is the time off. He's supposed to.
- 48:18Speaker 13: Be my lawyer.
- 48:19Speaker 8: I'm being the best attorney that you probably could afford,
- 48:22Speaker 8: young lady. Okay, and I'm trying to do the best
- 48:25Speaker 8: I can to help you. Now, you, from what I
- 48:28Speaker 8: understand is.
- 48:28Speaker 7: Yes, I'm say that's not gonna be acceptable. I just
- 48:31Speaker 7: have to get a lawyer to you. That's not accessible.
- 48:35Speaker 1: You know, you know you people continue to want it.
- 48:37Speaker 7: Take me to offer yesterday when we came in, I didn't.
- 48:42Speaker 8: I wasn't there doing the meeting yesterday. Like I said,
- 48:44Speaker 8: these papers just landed on my desk today. What I'm
- 48:47Speaker 8: not going to tolerate is you people consistently want team
- 48:50Speaker 8: to file a lawsuit on somebody.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Now you want to file a lawsuit on me. You
- 48:55Speaker 1: know you're going way too far with this.
- 48:58Speaker 7: This isn't time right, I want to talk. I've never
- 49:01Speaker 7: heard of you.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Well, now you've heard of me.
- 49:06Speaker 8: I'm and I work here as well, and I'm not
- 49:09Speaker 8: going to stand you uh uh dismantling me.
- 49:12Speaker 1: The way that you're doing.
- 49:14Speaker 7: I just have to get a lawyer. That's not accessible.
- 49:17Speaker 8: I got one more thing. This is nephew Tommy from
- 49:19Speaker 8: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked. You
- 49:22Speaker 8: got precked by your husband. Oh, your husband told me
- 49:32Speaker 8: she's been waiting on that check.
- 49:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 49:34Speaker 7: I was about to go about a little office.
- 49:41Speaker 8: All right, baby, let me ask you something. Tell Tommy,
- 49:43Speaker 8: what is the baddest radio show in the land. All right, baby,
- 49:49Speaker 8: look here, get your check.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Now.
- 50:00Speaker 1: They're doing praise and worship in the prink.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:05Speaker 8: You've been waiting on a check, a big one. And
- 50:07Speaker 8: then don't come right. You ever been waiting on that
- 50:09Speaker 8: big check, that accident check, that good settlement?
- 50:12Speaker 4: Oh my god, and I want it now?
- 50:17Speaker 8: Ja yeah wow, oh man, I was I was waiting
- 50:23Speaker 8: on a big check. One time and and uh and
- 50:27Speaker 8: Jackie did not pay. She she she fell in the
- 50:31Speaker 8: ribs of paying my student loans. I mean like two
- 50:35Speaker 8: months off and man, I had a ten eleven thousand
- 50:38Speaker 8: dollars check coming.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I was excited.
- 50:41Speaker 8: Man, they took that whole check, that whole check that
- 50:46Speaker 8: you forgot to pay the bill.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Boy, you want to talk about upset that day?
- 50:52Speaker 8: You know you couldn't. You couldn't cut. You can't cush
- 50:54Speaker 8: your lady off. But I went outside and question did
- 50:58Speaker 8: you did you blame her for it?
- 51:01Speaker 1: Uh? Yeah, yeah, it wasn't nobody. I mean I didn't.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I didn't verbally blame up. But yeah, it was her
- 51:09Speaker 1: damn fault. I mean yeah, but I say that, but
- 51:12Speaker 1: you kept it to yourself.
- 51:14Speaker 8: Yeah, I kept it to himself. And that's where a
- 51:16Speaker 8: lot of stress come from. We keep all that piped
- 51:19Speaker 8: in out there. But yeah, it is Yeah, I kept it.
- 51:23Speaker 9: For you.
- 51:24Speaker 1: What came, what came out of that is all my well.
- 51:26Speaker 1: But from what you're not doing that fault.
- 51:34Speaker 3: We pay it.
- 51:35Speaker 1: She forgot. You pay your own loan, keep up with
- 51:37Speaker 1: you over the bills.
- 51:39Speaker 8: No, you're not gonna do that. Call when you when
- 51:44Speaker 8: you pay the light bill. You pay that stupid loan bill.
- 51:46Speaker 8: You pay that keep it going. If I make the
- 51:48Speaker 8: money and you're in charge of the money, do your job.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I was yelling about it. I wish I want, because
- 51:54Speaker 1: you ain't Margie. That's why you ain't. Jacket. So we
- 51:57Speaker 1: can say this right here, right now. Misplaced anger. Yeah,
- 52:05Speaker 1: you know it is exactly. I definitely can't say wagon.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I can't say nothing at all.
- 52:18Speaker 9: All right, coming up today's Strawberry Letters.
- 52:21Speaker 6: Subject there were way too many people in one bed.
- 52:25Speaker 6: We'll get into it right after this.
- 52:27Speaker 9: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 52:31Speaker 6: Time now for today's Strawberry Letter. And if you need
- 52:33Speaker 6: advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting, and more. Please
- 52:37Speaker 6: submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey f M and
- 52:40Speaker 6: click submit Strawberry Letter.
- 52:42Speaker 9: We do all these subjects, but like I said before,
- 52:44Speaker 9: we mostly talk about sex and relationships.
- 52:47Speaker 6: I mean, you know, you can write us about all
- 52:49Speaker 6: this other stuff and we'll try to help you out,
- 52:51Speaker 6: but mostly we talk about sex on this show.
- 52:55Speaker 3: We do look it up.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Hold on tight, we got it for you here. It
- 52:57Speaker 1: is Strawberry Letter.
- 52:59Speaker 6: Thank you, not if you subjects there were way too
- 53:02Speaker 6: many people in one bed. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been
- 53:05Speaker 6: married for twenty two years, and I have a big
- 53:07Speaker 6: problem with my husband. My husband's coworker recently bought a
- 53:11Speaker 6: motorcycle and my husband wants one, so he showed me
- 53:15Speaker 6: pictures of the motorcycle on his phone. As I swiped
- 53:18Speaker 6: through the pictures, my husband walked outside, and so I
- 53:22Speaker 6: kept swiping through his pictures. I went as far back
- 53:25Speaker 6: as March and came across a video of my husband naked.
- 53:30Speaker 6: The video was done two days before my fiftieth birthday,
- 53:33Speaker 6: and it was in a hotel room that had a.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Jacozie in it.
- 53:36Speaker 6: There were six or seven people in there in one bed,
- 53:40Speaker 6: including two other naked men. My husband laid on the
- 53:44Speaker 6: bed between two of the women and they started kissing
- 53:48Speaker 6: all over his body and the video ended. I was
- 53:52Speaker 6: so upset, my hands started shaking and my heart was racing.
- 53:56Speaker 6: My husband came back inside and I didn't say a word.
- 54:00Speaker 6: I wanted to ask him all about the art orgy,
- 54:03Speaker 6: but I needed to get some information first. Later on,
- 54:06Speaker 6: I called my brother to ask him what it meant
- 54:08Speaker 6: if three guys were naked in one room. He said,
- 54:11Speaker 6: it is never good for a group of men to
- 54:13Speaker 6: be naked together unless they're in a locker room. I
- 54:17Speaker 6: told him it was a hypothetical question, but he said
- 54:20Speaker 6: he knew exactly why I asked. He reminded me that
- 54:23Speaker 6: we lived in a small town, and he said there
- 54:25Speaker 6: have been rumors about my husband being into a lot
- 54:28Speaker 6: of different sexual things. I told my brother it was
- 54:31Speaker 6: all true and that I've seen it for myself. He
- 54:34Speaker 6: advised me to leave my husband because there's nothing else
- 54:37Speaker 6: to talk about. I don't want my marriage of twenty
- 54:40Speaker 6: two years to end this way, but there were way
- 54:43Speaker 6: too many naked people in the bed. Do I take
- 54:46Speaker 6: my brother's advice and leave or talk to my husband
- 54:50Speaker 6: and hear his side of the story first? Please help?
- 54:53Speaker 6: We need to well, well, okay, all right, I'm sure
- 55:02Speaker 6: this was a shocker to you.
- 55:03Speaker 9: I'm sure it was.
- 55:05Speaker 6: I mean, who wants to find out that their husband
- 55:07Speaker 6: is cheating this way? Why would he keep something like
- 55:12Speaker 6: this on his phone anyway? I mean does he go
- 55:14Speaker 6: back and look at it from time to time? Did
- 55:17Speaker 6: he want to get caught subconsciously? And it seems like
- 55:21Speaker 6: everyone in town, according to your brother, knows anyway?
- 55:24Speaker 9: But you and what a shame.
- 55:26Speaker 6: After twenty two years of marriage, he's brought unimaginable pain
- 55:31Speaker 6: and embarrassment and humiliation to you. You said your hands
- 55:34Speaker 6: were shaken, and I mean so. But what I don't
- 55:37Speaker 6: get though, is why you didn't say anything right then
- 55:40Speaker 6: and there when your husband came back in the house.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I mean, what more.
- 55:44Speaker 9: Information did you need? You have him on tape in
- 55:47Speaker 9: an orgy, You have the evidence, you on his side
- 55:52Speaker 9: of the story.
- 55:53Speaker 1: I mean, that was the time to get it.
- 55:56Speaker 6: And what could he say anyway? What really could he say?
- 55:59Speaker 6: How could he get explain his.
- 56:00Speaker 9: Way out of this?
- 56:02Speaker 6: And listen, don't get me wrong, I know that this
- 56:04Speaker 6: has turned your entire world upside down, twenty two years
- 56:08Speaker 6: of marriage with this man. But please, but believe what's
- 56:13Speaker 6: in front of your eyes. Please believe that and base
- 56:16Speaker 6: your decision on facts and not the lies that your
- 56:20Speaker 6: husband could tell you to try to get out of
- 56:22Speaker 6: this particular mess.
- 56:24Speaker 9: And this is really way more than just a mess.
- 56:27Speaker 9: This is a tot stinking mess right here.
- 56:30Speaker 6: And you know you don't need you don't deserve this, Okay,
- 56:34Speaker 6: you deserve better, and please know that, Steve, I'm so
- 56:39Speaker 6: damn confused.
- 56:41Speaker 9: Yeah, this damn man.
- 56:44Speaker 5: Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, you're about to in a twisted man.
- 56:51Speaker 5: Oh confused man, let us begin been married twenty two
- 56:57Speaker 5: years old? Just started over a damn motorcycle? Was before
- 57:06Speaker 5: I got a damn motorcycle. He showed you a picture
- 57:09Speaker 5: of the motorcycle and then he walked outside. What you
- 57:18Speaker 5: left your phone with your wife? And you know you
- 57:21Speaker 5: do wrong, man. I swiped through the pictures after you
- 57:28Speaker 5: looked at the motorcycle. So you swiping through him. And
- 57:32Speaker 5: you went all the way back to March and you
- 57:33Speaker 5: came across this video your husband had and video of
- 57:38Speaker 5: your husband naked. Now the video was two days for
- 57:42Speaker 5: your fiftieth birthday. It was in a hotel room that
- 57:47Speaker 5: had a jacuzie in it. He would have let her change.
- 57:51Speaker 5: That was six or seven people in there on the
- 57:54Speaker 5: bed kind of bed was this California king Six seven
- 58:03Speaker 5: people thrown ass people damn near fifty kate fitting this
- 58:10Speaker 5: band Now unless the Keebler Els was in there, some
- 58:15Speaker 5: of the best top cooking makers.
- 58:17Speaker 1: In the world. Keep the airs.
- 58:20Speaker 5: Now, this was inside of a treehouse. I don't understand
- 58:27Speaker 5: how six seven people and two naked men that's what
- 58:32Speaker 5: was on the tape. Well, let's stop hittle and see. Yeah,
- 58:38Speaker 5: it's the two nicked men dat.
- 58:41Speaker 9: All right, just hold it right there.
- 58:43Speaker 6: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 58:46Speaker 6: twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 58:48Speaker 9: My Strawberry letter for today, the subject there were way.
- 58:51Speaker 6: Too many people in one bed. We'll get back into
- 58:54Speaker 6: it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 58:58Speaker 6: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 59:01Speaker 9: The subject there were way too many people in one bed.
- 59:05Speaker 1: All right?
- 59:05Speaker 5: This lady Thumbing threw her husband's phone he gave they've
- 59:08Speaker 5: been married twenty two years. He want a motorcycle, showing
- 59:10Speaker 5: her the picture of the motorcycle. Left up with the phone,
- 59:12Speaker 5: went outside. She went all the way back to March
- 59:15Speaker 5: found this picture video of her husband naked. Now, this
- 59:20Speaker 5: was two days before her fiftieth birthday. They was in
- 59:23Speaker 5: the hotel room, had a jacuzzi in it, and there
- 59:25Speaker 5: was six seven people.
- 59:26Speaker 1: In on the bed. Where is this hotel? That was
- 59:31Speaker 1: this big bed? Rings is strong and two of the
- 59:35Speaker 1: people in the bed was naked. Mean, oh, just swear
- 59:39Speaker 1: it was confusing.
- 59:41Speaker 5: Then your hug laid on the bed in between two
- 59:43Speaker 5: of the women, and they started kissing all over his
- 59:46Speaker 5: body and the video ended.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Now you gotta understand why the video ended.
- 59:54Speaker 9: Okay, break that down, you'll break.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Off because what was happening after that? You know, that
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: was the part he didn't mind keeping.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: It's something that happened a little later on, because obviously
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: he wasn't shooting the video nope. And obviously he got
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: a copy of it from somebody, because ain't nobody holding
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: his phone. They was just doing a copy of the video.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: He kept a copy. He wonted what about something happened,
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: something got out of hand. You didn't need to see that.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: Then your husband came back inside. Your hands are shaking you,
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: your heart was raising you, and you ain't say a word.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: I wanted to ask him about the orgy, but I
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: needed to get more information first, And I'm sorry, man,
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: you what more information was you looking for? That was
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: your ass, your damn husband butt nicky. That was him
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: that laid on the bed with the seven people in it.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: He managed somehow to find a crack between two women.
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: Because this bad is crowded, six seven people in there.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: The piece of sheep was showing he jammed it fin
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: ass down in there, and they started kissing on him.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, now you need some more information.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: So you called your brother to ask you what it
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: man if three guys was niked in one room, and
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: then he told you a fact, it ain't ever.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Good for a group of men.
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: See, if I'm in a room, I'm just saying, ill,
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: I must be the only one in there that zips
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: his pants up and down. If we niked, I can
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: be the only one in here. It'd be eight, nine, eleven,
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: thirteen people in here. But I got to be the
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: only one in here that got to let the toilet.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: See up, when we go in the bathroom.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I'm the only one.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: And even when I come out of the people go, Steve,
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: why you leave us? See that that's what would have
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: to happen because I'm the only man in there. So
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: and then you asked your brother about it, and then
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: you said it was a hypothetical question. But your brother said,
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: y'all live in a small town, and there has been
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: rumors about your husband being into a lot of different
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: sexual things. Because in a small town, see six seven
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: people in that room. Somebody told who always in the room.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: So the rumors is true? Your husband is into some
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: other things, all Jesus one of them. Yes, that's difference.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: He's in there, that's him. This is not a rumor.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I told you, brother, it was all true, and you've
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: seen it for yourself.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: He said, what you're gonna leave your husband because there's
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: nothing else to talk about?
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Now? You don't want your marriager twenty two years to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: end this way? Okay? How do you want it to right?
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: Do you want it to end which you would have uh,
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: sexually transmitted disease? Do you want it to end with
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: you finding out some more people pregnant? Do you want
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: it to end by getting invited to come and then
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: you get mad? Y'all get in a fight. How you
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: wanted to end because it's ended? Yeah, but there were
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: way too many nicked people in the bed, ma'am. If
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: it's one person, and why do you keep saying it
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: was way too many nicked people in the bed?
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: See?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You throw it off by the men.
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: Now I can understand that, see, because I guess, I
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: guess I'm just assuming as a woman, you think, and
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: if it's another woman you're.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Dealing with, you can fight that fight.
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: But now you're thinking if he has an appetite for
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: something more than women, then it could be trouble for you.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: So that is a dilemma that you have. But one
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: nicked person in the bed is a problem. Yeah, he
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: had a bunch. Now, your brother then told you, but
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: you don't want to do that. So do I take
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: my brother's advice and leave or do I talk to
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: my husband and hit his side of the store first.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: I would love for you to talk to your husband
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: so you can hit his side of the store.
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: How can he lie his way out of this?
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Okay? Surely? Sureley asked. Then I'm gonna show you. Go
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: ahead ask all.
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: Right, honey, listen, when you walked out of the room,
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: I happen to go through your phone and I saw it.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: You went through my phone?
- 1:04:22Speaker 9: Yeah, well you left to hear you wanted me to
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: look at the picture? Yeah I did.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: You went through my phone?
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: You heard what I said? I wow?
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: Hell no?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: So now we got a marriage? Why I can't trust
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: you with my phone? Ain't this a bottom?
- 1:04:39Speaker 9: Oh that's how you're gonna try to lie on.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: That's that's weak. That's all I know. It's weak. But
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: that's all. Forget all right.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey

- 1:04:57Speaker 9: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: Well, Memorial Day holiday weekend is the official kickoff to summer.
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: And so, Steve, I gotta ask you what annoys you
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: the most about summer?
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: What annoys me the most about summer is too short?
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: No, just what annoys me most about some is the
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: activities it causes some people to partake in that don't
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: need to partake in. And it's like some people shouldn't
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: wear tank tops. I just think summer brings out a
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: look in some people. You know I've often wanted. I'll
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: tell you what I discovered it. You remember when you
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: go to Disney all the time?
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I kept going, where.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: Do they get these tank tops with the armhole that
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: extends all the way down to your belt? No matter
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: how big you are, the armhole shows your whole side
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: of your body. I discovered that they sell them tank
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: tops at Walmart.
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: Hey, I don't care.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: How big you are, you can get your arm in
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: this damn tank top. Now, it might be tight round
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: the stomach, but you're gonna be able to get in
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: his armhole. That has always bothered me.
- 1:06:12Speaker 9: Yeah, your nephew had on one the other day, like
- 1:06:16Speaker 9: to that out.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Which it ain't time for him for that. It's like time.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: He ain't quite down.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: You see these sleeves, I got on, get you some sleeves. Talk,
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: you're not quite there. I know your little boy, Thank
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: you strong. And there are those of us who know
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: better also to watch white men in the suburbs cut
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: their lawn with them strapped sandals, with them socks on.
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: That's another thing that that summer brings out that I
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: almost want to.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Stop and take your damn socks out. I just want
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: to say that.
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: But I.
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: Also, uh, there are people on beaches unclothed that really
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: they need to they need to be be be That's
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: And that's really beach band. Beach band.
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: There's some people that you know it needs to listen
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: to me, fellas if you do put on your swimming
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: trunks and you can no longer find the draw string, yeah, surprivate,
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: it's time. If you wear two pieces and we can
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: only find the top piece, we have a problem.
- 1:07:41Speaker 9: Look at the time, we have a problem.
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: We're never asking you about Yeah, I'm just telling you
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: asked me what aggravates me about something.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I'm just telling you.
- 1:07:53Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: All right, guys, time for some laughter here, and this
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: might just before our listeners. In certain parts of the country,

- 1:08:06Speaker 6: weeks of the year to have sex.
- 1:08:08Speaker 9: That's what we're talking about. Because it's not too hot,
- 1:08:12Speaker 9: it's not too cold.
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: You can open the windows, you don't need the air conditioner,
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: you don't need to have to worry about sweating too much.
- 1:08:19Speaker 6: Some say, as we get ready to kick off summer,
- 1:08:22Speaker 6: it's going to be too hot for sex. Okay, So

- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Cars, Yeah, it's hot in there. Or they make the cars,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: they make engine blocks.
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: They pour hot steel into moles and run it through
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: a furnace and then the coolert system.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: The whole foundry hot no air conditioning, get it?
- 1:09:23Speaker 9: But her hair was sweated out about the half edges.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Gone, yea, I had a helmet.
- 1:09:29Speaker 9: Ont a helmet on.
- 1:09:32Speaker 10: You gotta have a safety helmet. No hot place, ain't
- 1:09:39Speaker 10: fall helmets. That's what I was thinking, football helmet.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I didn't like her.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: We ain't got to kiss or nothing. What are we
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: talking about a helmet? You have a face mask on.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: If you want to. I've been in a hot ass
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: club and that made it happen. I don't know what
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: y'all talking about in the club.
- 1:09:58Speaker 8: In the club like adjoining wall, you know, wall between
- 1:10:02Speaker 8: the where the party but on the other.

- 1:10:24Speaker 8: You see but they can't really see it, kind of
- 1:10:26Speaker 8: like that interrogation room.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: You can see but they can't.
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: Oh oh, so the question was, have you guys ever
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: had sex without air conditioning?

- 1:13:25Speaker 5: I'm starting to see the physical benefits of it.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Now it's starting to come through to where I can
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: notice it.
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: You know, people have noticed it on me before, and
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: then my biggest change was in the way my clothes fit.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: My fit is totally different now.
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: I had on a suit last week that I had
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: made two years ago, and I refuse to wear it because,
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: you know, my stylists had tried this new look of
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: making my clothes really fit it, and it was just
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: a little bit too much for Uncle Steve.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Couldn't take no deep breath, couldn't raise all.
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: That I actually had this suit on, and he posted
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: a picture of it and there's room in.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: The suit down. Oh that's all I could turn, right.
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: The difference is starting to be know to elebody, go
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: to elevatey dot com, al apossibly e vat you dot com,
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: get your green drinks and get started on your health journey.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Thanks Steve.
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: Coming up in thirty three minutes after we'll play around it.
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: Would you rather right after this you're listening Hard Morning Show.
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: The queen of rock and roll, Tina Turner has passed away.
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: What a shocker this was uh mss. Tina was eighty
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: three years old, Steve. Her concerts were amazing. Former President
- 1:14:43Speaker 6: Barack Obama said that Tina Turner was raw, she was powerful,
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: she was unstoppable, and she was unapologetically herself speaking and
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: singing her truth through joy and pain, triumph and tragedy.
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: Today we joined fans around the world and honoring.
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: The Queen of rock and roll. And that's so true.
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: She was global and they're calling her story one of
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: the greatest or the greatest comeback story in the history
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: of music because of what she endured and how she
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: came back, and it was on top of not just
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: the United States, but the world.
- 1:15:20Speaker 8: The great seeing her as a kid, seeing her on
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: a Johnny Carson show, she was major man.
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: She choreographed those dance moves that she did with the ike.
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: The show that this show was well, ain't nobody else
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: know how to do it and had nobody done it before,
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: So there was just it had to be her, you know,
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: I was reading on k C.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: They were saying that back in March she talks about
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: her health and not taking better care of herself when
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: it came to issues with her kidney, and that she
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: should have taken medication more regular, you know, to help
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: with hot blood pressure, you know, the chronic diseases that
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: set in as you age, high cholesterol.
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: Yeah, whenever we lose somebody, there's lessons to be learned,
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: even in loss. You know, often say behind every moment
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: of adversity, there's a lesson and a blessing, you know.
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: And I mean we should take the time out, just
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: like they do at most funerals, to remind people that
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: those of us that are still here that we got
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: to be mindful that were on that same path. And
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: you know, you can quicken the trip, you can worsen
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: the trip, or you can lengthen the trip, or you
- 1:16:36Speaker 5: can smooth out the trip with the decisions that we
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: make and a lot of these issues we have and
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: our health issues, and it's sad to hear when a
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: person says, I should have took better care of myself.
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: I should have been a little bit more mindful of
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: my medicine schedule. I should have watched what I eat.
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: And I think that all of us, you know, have
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: something to learn from that statement right there. I wish
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: I had it, because I don't want to wait until
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: I can't do anything about my health.
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: Yeah, we can all get on the health and wellness
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: journey no matter where you are right now, if you
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: still here, you have a chance to do something.
- 1:17:15Speaker 6: You know, if you get a chance to, please watch
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: the documentary. I Tina, I Tina.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: All right, we're coming back with more of the Steve
- 1:17:26Speaker 9: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, this is our last break
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: of the day, Steve's closing remarks. You don't want to
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: miss it. It's been a good day. We'll be back
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: at forty nine after the hour right after this. You're
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: listening hard Morning Show.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:17:41Speaker 9: Here we are Steve last break of the day.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: It's been a good day.
- 1:17:44Speaker 5: I guess a lot of things have been on my
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: mind in terms of closing remarks, because I try to
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: really really keep people, especially good people who are trying
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: to stay on the straight and narrow and the positive,
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: and it gets difficult times. I had a young man
- 1:18:01Speaker 5: text me the other day and said, big Dog, I
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: just need some of your wisdom.
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: I've been doing everything, man, I've been praying. My girl
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: is tripping. I don't know how to handle it. It
- 1:18:15Speaker 5: just seems like, man, that God ain't letting this thing
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: happen quick enough for me.
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: And I'm thinking about going back to my old ways, man,
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: but I don't want to. And so I was just
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: talking to him about a way to handle it. I
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: sent him send him a couple of things, you know,
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: and he was talking about how heart it was, and
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: I just told him. I said, look, man, being successful
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: is very very difficult. If being successful were easy, come on,
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: how many times have you heard that. I don't even
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: have to say it again, everybody would be it. But
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: when you're going through something, folks, you have to understand
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: that you're being tested. You're being processed and tested, You're
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: being pushed through the furnace, you're being molded shaped. Sometime
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: you get real hot in that furnace and you turn liquid,
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: and it looked like you ain't gonna be nothing.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: But he just pouring you into this mold. That's all
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: he doing.
- 1:19:12Speaker 5: All the trials and tribulations and hard times and difficulties
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: that you find yourself facing, he just molding you.
- 1:19:19Speaker 10: Man.
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: He just getting you ready to receive it. Because when
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: you get it, people are gonna come after it. When
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: you get it, people are gonna want it. When you
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: get it, you're gonna draw attention all these things you
- 1:19:32Speaker 5: asking God for.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: When he give it to you. You gotta be ready
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: to receive it.
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: And you got to know how to appreciate it and
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: handle it when you get it, and you got to
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: be able to stay in all the storms that come
- 1:19:43Speaker 5: with it. Because to whom much is given, much is required.
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: So guess what He requires a lot of you before
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: he give it to you. It ain't just to whom
- 1:19:54Speaker 5: much is given, much is required, meaning after those of
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: you who get something that you owe it to a
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: bunch people, you ain't got to look at it just
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: like that.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: To whom much is given, much is required.
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: That great thing that you're asking God for, that incredible
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: thing that you want him to see you through, Well,
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: when he give it to you and he see you
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: through it, he gonna require something of you to get
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: through it. Now when he get through it, Now, guess what.
- 1:20:21Speaker 5: You've been tested. You've been five baptized, you've been ran.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Through the meal. You can handle it. Now, you appreciate it. Now,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: you worked for it.
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: Now you earned it, and you're gonna respect it a
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: little bit more than somebody who was just giving something.
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: So when you're going through something, you're being tested. You've
- 1:20:43Speaker 5: been pushed through the furnace. You come out on the
- 1:20:46Speaker 5: other side, you're gonna be fine, but you can't quit
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: for you get to the other side. One of the
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: things I set this young man was a plaque that
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: a guy sent me when I was going through some
- 1:20:57Speaker 5: really dark moments in my life. The plaque said, if
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: you're going through hell, don't stop, keep going. If you're
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: going through hell, don't stop keep going. Why would you
- 1:21:12Speaker 5: stop in hell? Let's think about that. And you gotta
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: watch the people in your life, man, because you got
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: If you go to allow people to make more withdraws
- 1:21:23Speaker 5: than deposits into your life, you're gonna soon be in
- 1:21:26Speaker 5: the negative. Sometimes you got to know when to close
- 1:21:30Speaker 5: the accounts. You got some people in your life where
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: you need to close the accounts. No, no, no, no,
- 1:21:39Speaker 5: No more accounts receivable, no more accounts, pay a boat,
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: no more calling me every time it get dark in
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: your life. And then when something happen in mind, I
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: can't find you nowhere. No more one sided friendships, no more.
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: I'm giving and you taking. And when I need something,
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: you ain't there. Oh excute, I read something mose news pages,
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: not copied it, and I have sent it to a
- 1:22:01Speaker 5: couple of people already. Excuse me for bothering you, my bad.
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I forgot you only fool with me when
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: you need something. Oh excuse me, I'm sorry, my bad.
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: I don't mean to bother you. I forgot you only
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: fool with me when you need something. If you allow
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: people to make more withdrawals than deposits in your life,
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: you gonna soon be in the negative.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: You got to know when they close di it counts
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: everybody in your life right now.
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: You don't need them. You don't need them, not everybody.
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: Some people just ain't good for you. I don't know
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: if you notice it or not. You keep trying to
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: hang on in there and believe that they gonna be better.
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: You can pray for them too, But some people just
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: who they are now. Prayer changes thing. But if they
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: ain't praying for theirself, I don't really know how they work.
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: Now.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: Are some people that can explain ain't it? I can't.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: I just know.
- 1:23:03Speaker 5: Man, when you keep on telling somebody something then ain't listening,
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: and they keep bringing your bad news, and they.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: Always the one man that you hear what they said
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: about you?
- 1:23:12Speaker 5: Man, you know what I need? Man, You ain't gonna
- 1:23:15Speaker 5: believe what happened to me? Oh man, I can't get
- 1:23:17Speaker 5: around there today.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I'm tied up. You're done.
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: If you allow people to make more withdrawals than deposits
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: in your life, you're gonna soon be in the negative.
- 1:23:28Speaker 5: You have to know when to close the accounts. Just
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: close the accounts. You'll be better for those are my closing.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Remarks, big up, all right now wow jeez uh huh yeah,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: you can go ahead and drop it.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: You can go ahead.
