- 1:22Speaker 1: the age of six, he knew he wanted to be
- 1:24Speaker 1: a comedian. Can you believe that by the age of six?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Now that's that's all running around the house being stupid.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I don't know if you were being a comedian. He
- 1:32Speaker 1: regular performs and comedy clubs across the country, and there's
- 1:35Speaker 1: an ambassador for the United States government performing a basis
- 1:38Speaker 1: all over the world. Please walk on one of the
- 1:40Speaker 1: funniest comedians I know the money making conversations. Mr George Wallace,
- 1:48Speaker 1: Good afternoon, How would you? Good morning? In some places?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Good to talk to George Wallace. Um, there's a lot
- 1:55Speaker 1: of people that you met in life and somebody wants
- 2:00Speaker 1: to speak to you. I don't know why anybody want
- 2:02Speaker 1: to speak to you other than me, because I've had Okay,
- 2:06Speaker 1: everybody wants to talk to me because I am somebody.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I am living my dream. I love life, I love God.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I love you Richard McDonald, But I don't like Less Brown.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You're not listening and I'm going, oh my god, lets
- 2:24Speaker 1: his on and I just text less yesterday during this
- 2:28Speaker 1: business conversation. His name was gonna come up as an
- 2:30Speaker 1: inspirational person to talk to. So, yes, you're right, I
- 2:34Speaker 1: don't like him, but what he has to say, you
- 2:36Speaker 1: better listen to it. That Mr Brown, did you hang
- 2:39Speaker 1: around for this? You know George is something gold. But
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, George literally saved my career. Were at a
- 2:46Speaker 1: radio station in New York and I know he, I
- 2:49Speaker 1: mean in in Washington, d C. And the program director
- 2:53Speaker 1: did not like me. And so I had a morning
- 2:56Speaker 1: show and George my calls and he for the all
- 3:00Speaker 1: slow records on and and he just was very negative
- 3:04Speaker 1: towards me, and so I decided that I was gonna
- 3:10Speaker 1: jack him up. And so George, you went from motivational
- 3:14Speaker 1: speaking to jacket somebody that's right after the that's a lot.
- 3:19Speaker 1: He was not going to jack him up. He was
- 3:21Speaker 1: gonna literally throw the physically throw the man out of
- 3:24Speaker 1: the window. Yes, And so George is six four goud
- 3:29Speaker 1: between us and he says less. He says, nobody knows him.
- 3:34Speaker 1: He said, but everybody knows you. He said, you cannot
- 3:38Speaker 1: do this, and he stopped. But you have to have
- 3:41Speaker 1: someone who can speak to you, and you listen to
- 3:45Speaker 1: and I listened to him, and and so I stopped
- 3:48Speaker 1: because I was gonna tear that studio up with him.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He was because he was trying to sabotage me. But
- 3:53Speaker 1: George said, it doesn't matter, just do what you have
- 3:56Speaker 1: to do. And and he just helped me to a
- 3:59Speaker 1: higher standard. I lost it right right. And a lot
- 4:03Speaker 1: of people do that life, you know, they forget their
- 4:06Speaker 1: roles in life. You know who you hang around with.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It makes it because there's some people say, yeah, get him, yes, yes, see,
- 4:13Speaker 1: no he didn't do that. Yeah. The other thing is
- 4:16Speaker 1: I was fascinated with George. I saw him the first
- 4:18Speaker 1: time he came on television the Johnny Carson Show. I wondered,
- 4:23Speaker 1: why would he not change his name given George Wallace
- 4:27Speaker 1: about the white segregationists. And I asked him on the
- 4:32Speaker 1: air and said, why didn't you change your name and
- 4:34Speaker 1: come out with another name, and he said, and he
- 4:37Speaker 1: accomplished this. He said, I decided that I was gonna
- 4:41Speaker 1: make George Wallace a good name. And so when people
- 4:46Speaker 1: think about George Wallace now, they don't think about the segregationists.
- 4:50Speaker 1: They think about George Wallace, the comedian who make people
- 4:53Speaker 1: feel good about themselves, make people laugh, and and he
- 4:56Speaker 1: brings a lot of joy. So I admire that because
- 5:00Speaker 1: as he could have easily decided, you know what, I'm
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm going to change my name so I can be
- 5:05Speaker 1: more accepted. But he didn't do that, and his talent
- 5:10Speaker 1: overrode the reputation of George Wallace the segregationist or he
- 5:14Speaker 1: is worth. Yes, we love you, uncle George. It's such
- 5:18Speaker 1: a classic man. Thank you own a god, bless you today.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Something you know? Everybody? You know everybody? Okay, you know
- 5:25Speaker 1: he got forty five? How do you know her voice?
- 5:29Speaker 1: And what do you call him? Less brown? His name
- 5:32Speaker 1: is less black. I had a call with you, George.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I said, we're not going to be funny on the show.
- 5:44Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about life, you know, but it's hard
- 5:47Speaker 1: to talk to a fool and stop him. Oh my lord, Okay, listen,
- 5:53Speaker 1: we won't do any more jokes. We're just talking about
- 5:55Speaker 1: the good things about living life. Life is so good.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Let's do that making money the same time, making money
- 6:01Speaker 1: at the same time. So do you have anything to
- 6:02Speaker 1: say for you black? Mr Black? Listen? George called me
- 6:08Speaker 1: less brown and more black. You know, not be funny
- 6:15Speaker 1: with less brown on less brown is crazy? You know
- 6:17Speaker 1: you got me. I hear speaking church and I'm gonna
- 6:19Speaker 1: look at that fool up there. You know I cut
- 6:21Speaker 1: in church now. I really come because I met a
- 6:24Speaker 1: man in Atlanta's name is Walker. Fucking flame rap. What
- 6:29Speaker 1: the fuck are they ain't CUsing but show here's close
- 6:32Speaker 1: And so we're less walked up from the pool and
- 6:36Speaker 1: I said, this Walker, I gotta pray for him. He
- 6:43Speaker 1: needs a lot of friends and a lot of help. Hey, George, owner, Owner,
- 6:48Speaker 1: got a question for you right now? Okay, yes, you
- 6:51Speaker 1: got a question for you right yes, sir, Uncle George.
- 6:53Speaker 1: We're talking about money and success. There's a lot of
- 6:56Speaker 1: athletes and comedians and celebrities that have doned, died broke
- 7:01Speaker 1: after making millions of dollars. One of the things I
- 7:03Speaker 1: respect about you, you've obviously managed your money well and
- 7:07Speaker 1: been able to continue your success for years, so many years.
- 7:12Speaker 1: How do you what do you? What would you attribute
- 7:15Speaker 1: that to? Well, I'm known from day one does a
- 7:18Speaker 1: term called show business, and you have to separate those two.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Does a show and there's business, And a lot of
- 7:24Speaker 1: people don't know because I am a comedian, because I
- 7:27Speaker 1: am foolish. But the bottom line is I'm a serious
- 7:29Speaker 1: guy about living well right, and everybody should live well.
- 7:32Speaker 1: There's no reason why you shouldn't live well, and God
- 7:35Speaker 1: wants you to live well. I mean, why shouldn't you
- 7:37Speaker 1: prosper that if the money is out there? Sometimes a
- 7:39Speaker 1: friend of mine used to drop a hundred dollars on
- 7:41Speaker 1: the floor on the way to the stage right, and
- 7:44Speaker 1: that would she would mention the fact that there's a
- 7:46Speaker 1: hundred dollars on the floor and they're just sitting there
- 7:48Speaker 1: waiting for somebody to pick it up. You just gotta
- 7:50Speaker 1: go get it. You want some money, go get it,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and you gotta have it. It's in your head to
- 7:54Speaker 1: be successful. I've known since day one in school that, uh,
- 7:58Speaker 1: the school wants the school to You want to ask
- 8:00Speaker 1: who's gonna be a millionaire. I'm the only one with
- 8:02Speaker 1: my hand up. It's embedded in you that that's what
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're gonna do. You gotta live your dreams. A matter
- 8:07Speaker 1: of fact, you gotta read Less's book. That'll help you
- 8:10Speaker 1: out a lot. Live your dreams, visualize what you want
- 8:13Speaker 1: in life, and you can have anything. And you work too.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But let me say this. You know what millionaires do.
- 8:19Speaker 1: They work. All millionaires work. Look at everybody's successful. They work.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But you gotta think, when you have this money, you
- 8:27Speaker 1: can't throw it away. We got these successful football players
- 8:30Speaker 1: and basketball players, all these athletes. Let me say that
- 8:33Speaker 1: they get three thirty million dollar contract, first thing they
- 8:36Speaker 1: do is by a forty million dollar home. But they
- 8:38Speaker 1: don't know that money is not always gonna be coming in.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And when the contracts stop, the bills the house note
- 8:43Speaker 1: kick continues. So that's why you see people they do
- 8:46Speaker 1: the wrong They make the wrong decisions. You know, you
- 8:48Speaker 1: gotta take that money and save it. And you don't
- 8:50Speaker 1: need five rose rosses unless you just got you know,
- 8:54Speaker 1: like a broad Maywell if you get that got that
- 8:56Speaker 1: kind of money, but you can have fun. You do
- 9:00Speaker 1: ellion dollars though back tax. So that's the conversation he
- 9:04Speaker 1: has to deal with that. Twenty two million dollars that
- 9:06Speaker 1: there's nothing for him. He's gonna flight one n he's
- 9:08Speaker 1: gonna fight one night and he can pay it off.
- 9:10Speaker 1: About that, he's gonna makebillion. I was on the fight.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But you still gotta pay taxes on that too. Now
- 9:14Speaker 1: that's always tax that. Now there's always text. That's one
- 9:17Speaker 1: thing you gotta do to river. Forget that. That's another
- 9:20Speaker 1: way to get it in trouble. Hey your tax I've
- 9:24Speaker 1: gotten to the point I want to pay my text
- 9:25Speaker 1: so well, I add an additional sums of money just
- 9:28Speaker 1: for miscellaneous charges that I may not know about that
- 9:31Speaker 1: they might come back and talk to you about exactly.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you some, George. I'm tell some George
- 9:36Speaker 1: because I want I'm gonna keep your while around for
- 9:38Speaker 1: a minute, because of the fact that you know, man
- 9:42Speaker 1: to be funny in generations, you know, and I say
- 9:44Speaker 1: generation every decade, and to be funny because you let's
- 9:49Speaker 1: let's be real, like I was with Mr Brown earlier.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I just wanted to talk about the dynamics of longevity
- 9:54Speaker 1: and greatness and you before death comedy jam with her
- 10:00Speaker 1: so so and you know this is true because I
- 10:03Speaker 1: had to deal with this when you're making white people laugh.
- 10:06Speaker 1: A lot of people thought you father couldn't make black
- 10:08Speaker 1: people laugh. Is that true? I don't know what it's true.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I've always made everybody laugh because I'm I'm a people person.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I love people and always knew that. I love making
- 10:17Speaker 1: them laugh. And I I'm kind of different because it's
- 10:20Speaker 1: very hard for me to see color. I know one color,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I know green. I know that's right and and and
- 10:32Speaker 1: that if that inspires you. So the transition when when
- 10:35Speaker 1: death kind of Jam came about didn't affect you at all,
- 10:39Speaker 1: couldn't pick me and I went on and I did
- 10:41Speaker 1: Death Company Jam. I need it. I hosted it a
- 10:43Speaker 1: few nights. I've had fun in both arenas, and I
- 10:46Speaker 1: just love making people black white. I used to do
- 10:49Speaker 1: the better. I don't care what you're black, white, blue,
- 10:51Speaker 1: or green. You know, as long as you're having fun,
- 10:53Speaker 1: because there's nothing better than My job as a comedian
- 10:56Speaker 1: is the greatest job in the world. It happens to
- 10:58Speaker 1: be the hardest job as far as the show business
- 11:01Speaker 1: is concerned. The hardest job in the world is public speaking,
- 11:05Speaker 1: the most fear thing to do in life. And when
- 11:07Speaker 1: we got to go on stage, we don't only have
- 11:09Speaker 1: to speak. We gotta get last. We gotta produce jokes.
- 11:12Speaker 1: We gotta deliver jokes. And it's harder than any other
- 11:15Speaker 1: art point from out there. So I love doing it,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and they reward me with pay, and no, I saw
- 11:20Speaker 1: often say I would do it for free. Why because
- 11:22Speaker 1: I under my essence, I love what I do and
- 11:24Speaker 1: I love to show people what I do. Because when
- 11:27Speaker 1: you make people happy, you can't go wrong. Yeah, I
- 11:30Speaker 1: mean you just think about it. You can't even take
- 11:32Speaker 1: a smile without feeling better. That's amazing, that's true. Now
- 11:36Speaker 1: they gotta leave everybody to go to the break please.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Uh you know, if you're gonna do some condolences and
- 11:41Speaker 1: say he black, why you don't tell by the owner?
- 11:44Speaker 1: Do your thing? George and Mr Brown, you do your thing.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Let's brown more black? You you believe Mongolia nor George's family.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I love George, and I tell you it's it's it
- 12:02Speaker 1: was a blessing. We used to this show together. We
- 12:04Speaker 1: had a great time. And we found out on the
- 12:07Speaker 1: air that I showed was canceled, did we George exactly? Yeah?
- 12:12Speaker 1: And I mean we found out on their reading the
- 12:14Speaker 1: news and it shows and but We were very graceful
- 12:20Speaker 1: and we thanked everybody, and we were grateful for the
- 12:23Speaker 1: two years we were on and we didn't say anything
- 12:25Speaker 1: negative and and about out. Yes, and so I went
- 12:30Speaker 1: on the New York City to w j KPRS to
- 12:33Speaker 1: become a New York radio the next day about didn't
- 12:36Speaker 1: even have a job. Yes, yes, So there are things
- 12:42Speaker 1: going to after you in your life and you have
- 12:43Speaker 1: to roll with the punches. Absolutely, absolutely, George, take care.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I love you and there's nothing you can do about it.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You know you're gonna get sued. You know that's my
- 12:51Speaker 1: saying I love you. In this absolution, We'll be back.
- 12:55Speaker 1: We're one thing coming back, shair some foolishness, George Wallace
- 13:00Speaker 1: is telling the daughter on We'll be back. I want
- 13:03Speaker 1: to find out by George Wallace. He's pursuing a dual
- 13:06Speaker 1: posts work at the University of Phoenix in the Vaye
- 13:10Speaker 1: Devra George Wallace at Davray some comedy somewhere and that
- 13:14Speaker 1: be right back with more money making conversations. Welcome back
- 13:18Speaker 1: to money making conversations. I have him a hold because
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm about to bring him back up. The incredible comedian
- 13:23Speaker 1: George Wallace Welcome back to the show, George Wallace. Good
- 13:26Speaker 1: to George, knowing your longtime brother. I remember when I
- 13:31Speaker 1: came up to Houston of New York City, I met
- 13:36Speaker 1: you had catch a rising star. I was just a
- 13:38Speaker 1: young comedian, didn't know how to tell a joke, and
- 13:41Speaker 1: you stopped me and you spoke to me. That's the
- 13:43Speaker 1: type of guy you are. Man. You know, no matter
- 13:45Speaker 1: how famous you are, you inspired me to continue my
- 13:49Speaker 1: dream just by speaking to me at the bar. So
- 13:52Speaker 1: with that, with that being said, who are you, George? Who? What? What? What?
- 13:56Speaker 1: All these years? Who is George Wallace? Man? That's a
- 13:59Speaker 1: great way, And I'm glad you're asking me that, because
- 14:01Speaker 1: the most important thing. Let me tell you who I am.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I am the most blessed person you have ever met.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I am, uh perhaps one of the happiest people you've
- 14:11Speaker 1: ever met. I am happy. I love life, I love living,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I love people, and I love my career and I
- 14:19Speaker 1: love America. I like I like the world. I like
- 14:21Speaker 1: the world so much. You know, when you hear people
- 14:23Speaker 1: say God bless America. The President said that, and God
- 14:25Speaker 1: bess America. I'm the god who said God bless everybody.
- 14:28Speaker 1: God bless all of us in the America, South America,
- 14:30Speaker 1: North America. Just God blessed, and then God does bless
- 14:34Speaker 1: You're all a blessing. I'm just happy living. And if
- 14:36Speaker 1: I died tomorrow, I've been so blessed. I have everything
- 14:39Speaker 1: I had, could have ever wanted a career. I got money.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I got a few money. Okay, I've been working hard.
- 14:45Speaker 1: They have money. Some people don't know what that is.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Will explain that later. But I am a free man.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I am happy more than anything else I got. I
- 14:53Speaker 1: don't know what to say financial, I'm secure. I love God.
- 14:56Speaker 1: God is in my life. You can't do nothing without him.
- 15:00Speaker 1: And life is just good. And with that being said,
- 15:04Speaker 1: what what why a big quite comedian? Because you said
- 15:07Speaker 1: that you knew you want to be a comedian when
- 15:08Speaker 1: you was six years old. And I can honestly tell
- 15:10Speaker 1: you I didn't find out who I was allowed about
- 15:14Speaker 1: thirty two, you know that, right? Well, what happened at
- 15:18Speaker 1: six years or I was a kid, and I used
- 15:19Speaker 1: to watch TV and uh, well before even people, we
- 15:23Speaker 1: had Red Fox and Moms maybe and Judge Markham used
- 15:26Speaker 1: to listen to their records and and what's the best
- 15:29Speaker 1: thing to do ever? In life is laugh. I guess
- 15:31Speaker 1: I've always been a happy baby, a happy boy, a
- 15:33Speaker 1: happy student, a happy friend, a happy person. I just
- 15:38Speaker 1: picked happiness and and I'm going raised in the church.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And uh, maybe that has something to do with my
- 15:44Speaker 1: career guidance night man. Actually I went to church. I
- 15:46Speaker 1: told him on the other day. I went to church
- 15:48Speaker 1: so much that when I first got my I got
- 15:51Speaker 1: my first job, to asked me because I worked on Sunday.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I told hell, oh yeah, and as I said, I
- 15:58Speaker 1: need to do something different. But I just had your
- 16:00Speaker 1: life and I love living and it's just being six
- 16:04Speaker 1: years old. And I would take those jokes from Judge
- 16:06Speaker 1: pick Me, Markham and Richard Pryor and uh, I said
- 16:11Speaker 1: red Fox. Uh. I would take those jokes back to
- 16:13Speaker 1: school the next day, intend those jokes, Milton Borrow, Johnny Cass.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Anytime I heard a funny joke, I would I would
- 16:18Speaker 1: tell the joke to the kids and they were laughing school,
- 16:21Speaker 1: even the school teacher. I was not a class clown
- 16:23Speaker 1: when I was an instigator. I never will forget one day,
- 16:25Speaker 1: all right. You know you we used to pass the
- 16:27Speaker 1: notes around the room in school. I passed the note
- 16:30Speaker 1: around and says, if you have holes in your groves,
- 16:32Speaker 1: maybe it's proper to say underwear, but he said, if
- 16:35Speaker 1: you have holes in your grows, smile. So the note
- 16:37Speaker 1: was going all around the room. And saw the note
- 16:40Speaker 1: and the note was on the other side of the room.
- 16:42Speaker 1: She said, give me that note, and she took them
- 16:43Speaker 1: on up to her desk. She sit out and she
- 16:45Speaker 1: read the note and she started smiling. Then the class
- 16:48Speaker 1: cracked up. And you know what she said, George Wallace,
- 16:52Speaker 1: out of everybody in room, she knew I did it right, right, right,
- 16:54Speaker 1: right right, She knew I did it, but it was
- 16:58Speaker 1: making people laugh at the time. I used to make
- 16:59Speaker 1: my school kisser last And I have a school teacher
- 17:01Speaker 1: that's living right now. Her name is Mrs Trumpsy Brewer.
- 17:04Speaker 1: She lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She's eighty six years old.
- 17:06Speaker 1: She used to make me stay after school to tell
- 17:09Speaker 1: her jokes. And you know what she said to me
- 17:10Speaker 1: One day, I told a clean joke because she was
- 17:13Speaker 1: a school teacher. You know that ain't the kind of
- 17:15Speaker 1: joke I want to hear. She wanted to hear dirty jokes. No, not,
- 17:22Speaker 1: you don't do that. You don't do that. You don't
- 17:24Speaker 1: do that. Well, I mean back then she did and
- 17:26Speaker 1: she's still crazy today, would still have fun. I still
- 17:28Speaker 1: know all my school teachers, I know everybody. But and
- 17:31Speaker 1: it's always been about happiness to me. Just like I said,
- 17:34Speaker 1: growing up in the church, you leave church, what do
- 17:36Speaker 1: you do? You come on and mock the preacher was
- 17:38Speaker 1: one of my best bits right now. It's a preacher teller.
- 17:41Speaker 1: That's why I became a comedian, because the preacher would
- 17:43Speaker 1: always tell a joke. I called her a life sometime.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You ever hear the preacher walk up in the poolpits
- 17:47Speaker 1: is I won't be long? Right? That's right right, that's
- 17:50Speaker 1: a joke. That's in a bathtund stop now, especially in
- 17:54Speaker 1: the bath. All the churches, every church to stop now.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I just gotta lord, hey, George, what's this about Phoenix
- 18:03Speaker 1: University and Dry University. I have no idea. I just
- 18:06Speaker 1: know that on every corner. I don't know when I
- 18:08Speaker 1: first saw it, Phoenix University. I'm gonna like, why is
- 18:11Speaker 1: the school in Georgia? Why is it in Ohio? Every
- 18:14Speaker 1: exit as a University of phoenis right, right, right, right, right? Well,
- 18:18Speaker 1: they used to be a joke, but I think you're
- 18:20Speaker 1: a legit now. But it's just like a joke. You
- 18:22Speaker 1: know that's just a joke. Throne in my bio obvious joke.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Oh you you you mean I took it serious? Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 1: you're not right. You know you haven't been right since
- 18:34Speaker 1: they sat your mom a. I'm gonna tell you something.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'll tell you something, man, I teach something. Don't you
- 18:39Speaker 1: be doing no mama jokes for me on money main conversation.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I won't you let that slip in, man, I let
- 18:44Speaker 1: you slip in on me like that because my mama
- 18:46Speaker 1: listened to my show. Man. I'm gonna start crying on you,
- 18:49Speaker 1: George Wallace now because I can't compete with you. Boy,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I can't compete with you now. I know you know
- 18:54Speaker 1: invetter those, I know you invetter those anymore. I don't
- 18:57Speaker 1: even do those anymore. Now you're still out there on
- 18:59Speaker 1: the road, Joe, are you playing Venus comedy clothes? What
- 19:02Speaker 1: is what's supposed the game playing? For George Wallace in
- 19:05Speaker 1: two thousand and seventeen and moving forward? Guess what it is?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Three words? Two words making money? And I make money
- 19:13Speaker 1: because I love making money. But I also make money
- 19:15Speaker 1: because I enjoy what I do out of my essence.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I still get out there and show people who I
- 19:20Speaker 1: am what I do. This week along, I'm gonna go
- 19:22Speaker 1: to Los Angeles tomorrow. I'm gonna do five TV shows
- 19:25Speaker 1: with Byron Allen. What it's called What's So Funny? Next week,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna do a show with Uh. I'm the grandfather
- 19:32Speaker 1: on Casey Undercover. That's uh the cute young girl named
- 19:36Speaker 1: Zendaya and her dad is cadem Hardiston. I'm his daddy.
- 19:40Speaker 1: So we got four weeks with that shooting. We're busy
- 19:42Speaker 1: out there. I just finished a movie with Morgan Freeman
- 19:45Speaker 1: called villaka Free Morgan Freeman and Tumily Jones. I'm just busy.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I'm doing concerts all over the country. I'm doing the
- 19:52Speaker 1: concert tour with it's called Original Gangsters of Comedy. Oh yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I would just do Houston huh and Father's Day Weekend?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Correct exactly we did, going on to D C. Curry,
- 20:03Speaker 1: Jack J. J. Anthon and Brown Whole Flood and uh
- 20:07Speaker 1: and uh a kid Auber Houston. Uh Man, he's out
- 20:11Speaker 1: of Houston. Man. We'll come over his name later, but
- 20:14Speaker 1: you can't remember his name? Is he selling tickets? Man,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I know George Waller sales tickets. I know Whole Flood
- 20:20Speaker 1: sales tickets. I know DC Curry sales tickets. And then
- 20:23Speaker 1: you got one more person. Yeah, and he used to
- 20:25Speaker 1: be with it used to be with Doug Banks. Uh.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And he lives there. Rush Rush, Yeah, he's on the
- 20:31Speaker 1: air here, you know, Rudy Rush, Rudy Rush. We're having fun.
- 20:35Speaker 1: He sales tickets to everybody's a headline and that's what's
- 20:38Speaker 1: good about it. Shut up that messing with my tour
- 20:42Speaker 1: making money. We're making money out there. And I'm busy.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And uh, I'm still working for the government, of course,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I work for the Pentagon entertained the top the top
- 20:51Speaker 1: commanders around the world, and I'm busy. Like I'm just
- 20:54Speaker 1: blessed now because you can't, because you can slow down.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I remember when you at the Vegas show at the
- 21:00Speaker 1: Mingo Hotel ten years ten years you had that you
- 21:03Speaker 1: missed the Las Vegas. But yes, but let me ask you.
- 21:06Speaker 1: This is because you mentioned a lot of things. I
- 21:09Speaker 1: mean even that that's a that's a career right there
- 21:12Speaker 1: that you just mentioned right there. What is the what
- 21:15Speaker 1: what's the next step for for you? George? What do
- 21:17Speaker 1: you want to do? What do you want to do
- 21:18Speaker 1: besides what you're doing, which is exceptional? Am I asking
- 21:21Speaker 1: a generic question that say, Richard, I'm doing what I
- 21:24Speaker 1: want to do? Well, there are other things besides a book.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I there's another book comment somewhere. Yeah, I did a
- 21:30Speaker 1: book and I'm gonna do another book. Well the reason
- 21:33Speaker 1: I do what I do? Uh? And you talked about
- 21:37Speaker 1: the career in Las Vegas. I did something. I went
- 21:39Speaker 1: there for thirty days and turn out to be ten years.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I love that. And what happened was I didn't know it,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and it happened to me so quickly, and I was
- 21:48Speaker 1: into the the groove. My ultimate goal. Guess what my
- 21:52Speaker 1: ultimate goal was in life? What's the headline? In Las Vegas?
- 21:57Speaker 1: And I was there for eight years, I'm going, oh
- 21:58Speaker 1: my god, I've done it. I've been in Laws Vegas
- 22:02Speaker 1: longer than they worked to stage, longer than any African
- 22:04Speaker 1: American ever at the Flamingo. And the most important thing is,
- 22:08Speaker 1: and since your show is about money, I did not
- 22:11Speaker 1: work for the hotel. I own the show. I know
- 22:14Speaker 1: I pay you the twenty six workers. I did all
- 22:16Speaker 1: of the marketing, I did all of the advertising, I
- 22:19Speaker 1: did all of the promo. It's not your name. When
- 22:21Speaker 1: you get to Las Vegas, it doesn't matter who you are.
- 22:24Speaker 1: You're seeing entertainers go in and out of Laws Vegas,
- 22:26Speaker 1: big names and don't make it after a few weeks.
- 22:29Speaker 1: But I was there because I had the experience and
- 22:31Speaker 1: the professionalism of the business. Mind Let's put it like that,
- 22:36Speaker 1: to go and visit every hotel the mindset, visit every
- 22:41Speaker 1: country at every hotel, personally shake their hands at least
- 22:44Speaker 1: once every six months. It doesn't matter who your name is.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You've got ticket brokers out there selling tickets. They're gonna
- 22:50Speaker 1: sell the tickets that they make the most money off
- 22:53Speaker 1: before they sell your tickets. So that's why some entertaining
- 22:55Speaker 1: has didn't make it in Las Vegas. You gotta go
- 22:57Speaker 1: out and you gotta shoot hands. It doesn't matter what
- 23:00Speaker 1: your name is. You gotta go to people like uh,
- 23:03Speaker 1: time shareholders, those those people to sell time shows date
- 23:07Speaker 1: by thousands of tickets the day. So you gotta get
- 23:09Speaker 1: into the business. Mine how can I sell this? And
- 23:12Speaker 1: then I also I was in advertising. Ever we went
- 23:15Speaker 1: to Las Vegas, people used to say I had five
- 23:17Speaker 1: trucks going down the street back to back to back
- 23:19Speaker 1: to back to back, George Wallace, People say, why would
- 23:22Speaker 1: you put five trucks back to back in that crazy
- 23:25Speaker 1: Why would you ask me about it? There you go,
- 23:27Speaker 1: because it means they mesage. They saw it, they saw
- 23:30Speaker 1: the message. They saw as a business the show, and
- 23:34Speaker 1: then there's a business. So at night at ten o'clock,
- 23:36Speaker 1: the best ten PM show in Las Vegas for ten years,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I was on stage telling jokes. I owned the show.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I might do an hour, might doing on a hat,
- 23:43Speaker 1: but I owned the room. I could do what I
- 23:45Speaker 1: wanted to do. But during the day, I was handling
- 23:47Speaker 1: the business park for ten years a decade in Vegas.
- 23:50Speaker 1: African American man said exactly, and then they'd never been
- 23:54Speaker 1: done before. I didn't, thank God. And I was on
- 23:57Speaker 1: stage one night and my best friend went on stage.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You said, we've been doing this for ten years. America
- 24:02Speaker 1: needs to see you again. So we're gonna close the show.
- 24:05Speaker 1: That's what my best friend said. And he knows, he
- 24:08Speaker 1: knows more about money than anybody, and he quitte a
- 24:11Speaker 1: successful show and his prime. So I said, you're right,
- 24:14Speaker 1: I gotta get back out in America. That's why I'm
- 24:16Speaker 1: out doing the tours and making money and doing television
- 24:19Speaker 1: during the movies. Life is just good. Hey, George, I
- 24:23Speaker 1: called you personally asked you to call and do my show.
- 24:25Speaker 1: You said, Rashwan, what time? And you've done it. And
- 24:29Speaker 1: I think more importantly, you've told people about you and
- 24:32Speaker 1: what it takes to be successful if they want to
- 24:35Speaker 1: follow in your footsteps, not only as a comedian but
- 24:37Speaker 1: as a person in life. So in closing, George, what
- 24:40Speaker 1: what the nuggets of inspiration would you give my listeners
- 24:43Speaker 1: a money making conversation? And I'm money making conversations. Think
- 24:47Speaker 1: about what you're doing under your essence. Don't be afraid
- 24:49Speaker 1: to put your business on on the street, and don't
- 24:51Speaker 1: be afraid to to make choices that take chances. Don't
- 24:54Speaker 1: be in the fish bowl the fish and the fish
- 24:56Speaker 1: boat goes back and forth. Some time you gotta jump
- 24:58Speaker 1: out of that fish bowl and get into a new
- 25:00Speaker 1: world and enjoy what you want to do. Don't be
- 25:02Speaker 1: afraid to fail. You know, when I was in sales
- 25:05Speaker 1: in New York City, I was vice president of the
- 25:07Speaker 1: world's largest outdoor advertising company. Our formula was every twelve
- 25:11Speaker 1: knows then you get it. Yes, that that's hard. Some
- 25:14Speaker 1: people can't deal with that. You gotta keep knocking on
- 25:16Speaker 1: the door. No no, no, no, no no, what you
- 25:18Speaker 1: keep working hard, You're gonna get it. Yes, As I
- 25:20Speaker 1: said before, there's something in the struggle. You gotta work.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Rich people work. You gotta get out there and work
- 25:26Speaker 1: for it, for it and your notice. Look at you.
- 25:29Speaker 1: You work for many a year and just grow and
- 25:32Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden it gets in your system.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You don't know nothing to do but try to do
- 25:36Speaker 1: better and at Sometimes you're not running for more money,
- 25:38Speaker 1: you're just making money just because you're happy doing what
- 25:41Speaker 1: you do. You read the phrase before, when you love
- 25:43Speaker 1: what you do, you never have a job. I love
- 25:46Speaker 1: what I do, and I love what I do, and
- 25:48Speaker 1: I paid the money. I appreciate you, I thank you,
- 25:51Speaker 1: I love you, and it's absolutely nothing you can do
- 25:53Speaker 1: about it. Hey man, let's talk soon, and I eat
- 25:57Speaker 1: the meals okay, okay, because I gotta tell you something
- 26:00Speaker 1: about making more money. As my daddy said once, I
- 26:02Speaker 1: know you gotta go with my dadda said once, life
- 26:04Speaker 1: is like a crap sandwich. Okay. You told me to
- 26:06Speaker 1: get all the education I can and make all of
- 26:09Speaker 1: the bread I can because the more bread you have,
- 26:11Speaker 1: the less craft you gotta eat if you want it.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Have a good date, Thank you you have. Life is
- 26:19Speaker 1: like a crap so much you know how to pick
- 26:20Speaker 1: it up. Thank you my brother, the legendary George Wallace.
