• 0:03
Speaker 2: The eight headliners for Lalla Palouza this year feature very
• 0:05
Speaker 2: familiar names. Tate mcray, you got Lord, Olivia Dean, Jenny
• 0:08
Speaker 2: from Black Pink, Charlie XCX, Nineties Alt Legends, the Smashing Pumpkins,
• 0:13
Speaker 2: and the XX who are very big in the indie scene.
• 0:16
Speaker 2: And then there is a potentially less familiar artist, John Summit.
• 0:19
Speaker 3: But John is a big time tech house producer.
• 0:22
  Speaker 2: I know him.
• 0:22
Speaker 1: I love dance music.
• 0:23
Speaker 3: But for people who don't listen to Howse, he's maybe
• 0:26
Speaker 3: just kind of a little off.
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: The radar entirely.
• 0:28
Speaker 4: And that was pretty much the reaction when the lineup
• 0:30
Speaker 4: was announced. They were like, who on earth is John Summit?
• 0:33
Speaker 4: This thing kind of went viral online.
• 0:35
Speaker 2: So John is now commenting on that reaction that you
• 0:37
Speaker 2: just mentioned. He confessed Billboard it threw him off a
• 0:39
Speaker 2: little bit because in the dance world he's doing very,
• 0:41
Speaker 2: very well, as Sistney was saying, but he thought about
• 0:43
Speaker 2: it and realized he's never had a hot one hundred hit.
• 0:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's all over the dance charts. He's huge.
• 0:49
Speaker 3: But he accepted it, and dance and pop can cross
• 0:51
Speaker 3: over and they're basically two different worlds, and he's.
• 0:54
Speaker 4: Actually taking the right attitude. He's like, look, I've still
• 0:56
Speaker 4: got a lot of heads left to turn and playing
• 0:57
Speaker 4: Lollapalooza is a golden opportunity to do exactly that.
• 1:01
Speaker 2: Plus a reaction from dance fans online basically saying how
• 1:04
Speaker 2: in the world do you not know who John Summit
• 1:06
Speaker 2: is boosted his confidence a little bit. Lallapalooza kicks off
• 1:09
Speaker 2: July thirtieth in Chicago.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: That's direct from Hollywood.
