- 2:07Speaker 1: me now one and on it. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Hey man, back in business too, man man?
- 2:16Speaker 1: How good is God? I mean, really, if you think
- 2:18Speaker 1: about it in spite of all that's going down in
- 2:21Speaker 1: your life, first of all, it could be worse. But secondly,
- 2:25Speaker 1: sometimes you have to remember. And I've just had to
- 2:28Speaker 1: have this conversation with myself this morning. That's how I'm
- 2:32Speaker 1: fresh on this one right here. When a challenge faces you,
- 2:36Speaker 1: are you going through a difficult moment or you didn't
- 2:39Speaker 1: hit a bump in the road in the middle of that,
- 2:43Speaker 1: if you can manage to be grateful, it would take
- 2:45Speaker 1: you a long way. Gratitude is a powerful resource if
- 2:51Speaker 1: you can be grateful in the middle of it. Gratitude
- 2:55Speaker 1: is a powerful resource when it's dim for you. And
- 3:00Speaker 1: then got a little bumpy on the road, and he
- 3:02Speaker 1: ran into some obstacles and you didn't ran up into
- 3:05Speaker 1: some d tools signs, and your journey ain't smooth as
- 3:09Speaker 1: it was last week or last year. You gotta be
- 3:13Speaker 1: grateful for the things that are going right and that
- 3:18Speaker 1: have gone right, and for the thing that's wrong right
- 3:21Speaker 1: now to get right? Man, Can I share that with you? Man?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Is that a tough one to learn? It is for me.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It has been one of my toughest challenges is to
- 3:32Speaker 1: learn how to be grateful because it's a powerful resource,
- 3:37Speaker 1: but how to be grateful in moments of despair when
- 3:40Speaker 1: it ain't going right. So here's a mistake I would make. See,
- 3:43Speaker 1: when something go wrong, I want to focus on the
- 3:46Speaker 1: wrong so much in an attempt to fix it. But
- 3:50Speaker 1: even then the focus ain't always in to fix it.
- 3:54Speaker 1: The focus becomes, Man, this is bad. Man, I can't
- 3:58Speaker 1: believe this is happening. Why just keep going down? That
- 4:02Speaker 1: doesn't fix anything, you know, mealing over it, going over
- 4:07Speaker 1: what's wrong, explaining it, sharing it with your friends, you know,
- 4:14Speaker 1: making it sound worse than it is, tell the story
- 4:18Speaker 1: for pity from other people. All of that right there,
- 4:20Speaker 1: has nothing to do with the fix. Sometimes you're just
- 4:23Speaker 1: mulling over it. You're just making it worse. You're just
- 4:26Speaker 1: making it a bigger problem. You're you're manifesting it into
- 4:30Speaker 1: your atmosphere, You're putting it out there in your spirit.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden, it consumes your day. Next thing,
- 4:36Speaker 1: you know, you're having a bad day. If you're having
- 4:38Speaker 1: a bad day, it's because you've been having some bad thoughts.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So what I've had to learn how to do, and
- 4:44Speaker 1: what I'm working on this morning is I'm working on
- 4:47Speaker 1: this situation that's been cropped up. I was going kind
- 4:50Speaker 1: of smooth here for a minute, and now I didn't
- 4:52Speaker 1: got real bumpy in the road, you know, and all
- 4:55Speaker 1: this here. So what I'm thinking about now, though, is
- 4:58Speaker 1: even though I've hit a bump in the old, and
- 5:01Speaker 1: even though I've ben ran into a detour, and even
- 5:03Speaker 1: though I've hit this load, I'm going down into a valley,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I ain't up on the peak. Can I not still
- 5:11Speaker 1: be grateful for all the things that God has given me,
- 5:16Speaker 1: for all the things He's done for me, for all
- 5:19Speaker 1: the things he's brought me through, And realizing that even
- 5:23Speaker 1: this that's happening to me again is going to pass too.
- 5:27Speaker 1: He gonna get me through that attitude. Come on, man,
- 5:30Speaker 1: God is a good god. Man. It's a lot to
- 5:32Speaker 1: be grateful for. So while I'm tripping on this bumping
- 5:35Speaker 1: the road out and here, what I gotta remember is
- 5:37Speaker 1: all the things He's done for me. And like I said,
- 5:40Speaker 1: my saying is joined depression cannot reside in the same place.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So instead of being down about this new bumping the road,
- 5:47Speaker 1: if I'm constantly filling my mind with the thoughts of
- 5:50Speaker 1: how good He's been to me, of what all He's
- 5:53Speaker 1: done for me, of all the things he's brought me through,
- 5:56Speaker 1: of all the blessings he's presented me with. When I
- 5:59Speaker 1: go down that list, I really don't have a lot
- 6:01Speaker 1: of time to mull over the situation. Now. Do I
- 6:08Speaker 1: have to fix this bump in the road? Of course
- 6:10Speaker 1: I do. Are There's some things I'm going to have
- 6:12Speaker 1: to do. The straighten it out, of course it is.
- 6:15Speaker 1: But Steve, just gonna get the business of doing it
- 6:18Speaker 1: and straighten it out. What you're mulling over and wearing
- 6:21Speaker 1: about it for you know, old people. I heard old
- 6:23Speaker 1: people say something I was growing up in the church.
- 6:25Speaker 1: They say, if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry
- 6:28Speaker 1: about it. But if you're gonna worry about it, don't
- 6:30Speaker 1: pray about it. That's an amazing thing. And prayer just
- 6:34Speaker 1: happens to be my weapon of choice. Now, it ain't
- 6:37Speaker 1: always been that way. I want you to understand that
- 6:40Speaker 1: my first weapon of choice was you do it to me,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I do it to you. You called me out, I
- 6:45Speaker 1: called you out. You say something bad about me. I've
- 6:48Speaker 1: tried to find you say something bad about you. That
- 6:50Speaker 1: was my weapon in the past. How did that work
- 6:53Speaker 1: out for you, Steve? Not so good? Because you know what,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I spent a lot of time fighting back, kicking back,
- 7:02Speaker 1: swinging back, when I could have spent all that time climbing. See.
- 7:07Speaker 1: All you trying to do at the end of the day, folks,
- 7:09Speaker 1: is have a better life than the one you got.
- 7:11Speaker 1: All you're trying to do is to improve your position
- 7:14Speaker 1: in life. You know, it's not my business to make
- 7:17Speaker 1: sure you don't get where you're going. Ain't got no
- 7:20Speaker 1: time for that. It's not my job to assure that
- 7:23Speaker 1: you ain't as high as me. I ain't got no
- 7:26Speaker 1: time for that. Your real mission and purpose is to
- 7:30Speaker 1: have the best life that you can have, to as
- 7:33Speaker 1: sind to the highest plateau that you can get to,
- 7:36Speaker 1: to make your family as comfortable as you can, to
- 7:39Speaker 1: provide as much as you can for your family. But legally, see,
- 7:43Speaker 1: those of us are sitting up here trying to come
- 7:45Speaker 1: up with sideways. You can ask a couple of million
- 7:48Speaker 1: men sitting in prison today how they wish they hadn't
- 7:50Speaker 1: have done that, and they'll tell you, oh, man, I
- 7:54Speaker 1: wish I never had did it. I knew not to
- 7:56Speaker 1: go down there. Something told me not to go down there. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 1: If I could change things, I would. But they're sitting
- 8:03Speaker 1: somewhere doing some time that had they made another decision,
- 8:07Speaker 1: they wouldn't have to do. Now that don't make them
- 8:10Speaker 1: throw away people now, man, Because everybody makes mistakes, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: God is in the forgiving business, and some of us
- 8:16Speaker 1: have done some things that really broke the law, and
- 8:20Speaker 1: a whole lot of other things, and deserve to do
- 8:22Speaker 1: some time, but through the grace of God, we didn't.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But now we set up here. We passed judgment on
- 8:26Speaker 1: people who got to do something. Now I don't care.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't care what you've done. God can't forgive anything,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but our position, our motivation in life is to try
- 8:36Speaker 1: to have the best life we can have and provide
- 8:39Speaker 1: for those around us and make it comfortable. If that's
- 8:41Speaker 1: your ambition, you don't have time to worry about or
- 8:46Speaker 1: concern yourself with another person. And I wasted time doing that,
- 8:51Speaker 1: And that's not the way to get it done. It's
- 8:54Speaker 1: simply mine to your business taking care of you and
- 8:57Speaker 1: getting yourself right and tight. It's twenty four happen, so
- 9:00Speaker 1: that's a full time job. So what I had to
- 9:03Speaker 1: learn was and what I've the reason I've chosen prayer
- 9:07Speaker 1: as as my weapon of choice now is that now
- 9:10Speaker 1: prayer helps me that I don't have to fight back. Now,
- 9:15Speaker 1: if I get cornered, I'm gonna fight you. I ain't
- 9:18Speaker 1: even gonna lie to you. And I'm still working on
- 9:21Speaker 1: some things that trigger me. You know, you know you
- 9:25Speaker 1: know and and and and so I'm I'm I'm I'm
- 9:28Speaker 1: slowly getting better at that. But I've learned that my
- 9:32Speaker 1: weapon of choice is prayer. Now, So when it happens
- 9:36Speaker 1: ugly for me, I pray about it. When you get
- 9:40Speaker 1: tight and dismal, for me, I pray about it. And
- 9:43Speaker 1: the thing about prayer, man, is prayer changes things. Yes
- 9:48Speaker 1: it does. Now you ain't got to believe me. Read
- 9:55Speaker 1: about it and try it. Prayer changes thing. Every faith,
- 10:02Speaker 1: every faith implements prayer. If you are in a faith
- 10:09Speaker 1: that's about anything. Say, I don't care what religion you choose,
- 10:12Speaker 1: don't make me no difference, but all religions are based
- 10:16Speaker 1: around this. Here there is a God, there is a
- 10:19Speaker 1: connection to God, and there's a relationship with God. You
- 10:23Speaker 1: gotta get all them three things together. I don't know
- 10:25Speaker 1: if I explained it right, but hey, listen to me. Man,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I don't care what you call God, but you do
- 10:32Speaker 1: have to call him. And when you call him, whatever name,
- 10:34Speaker 1: you gotta attached to it. That's your business. But the
- 10:37Speaker 1: deal is the relationship is in the prayer. Is you
- 10:42Speaker 1: talking to him, waiting on a response, him asking your back,
- 10:46Speaker 1: that's a relationship. Try to have a relationship with a
- 10:48Speaker 1: man or woman without talking back and forth. See how
- 10:51Speaker 1: long that one go for you see how well it goes.
- 10:53Speaker 1: That's the deal. Okay, come on, prayer as a wonderful weapon.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show ladies, ladies and gentlemen. Uh, let
- 11:06Speaker 1: me have your attention again, different day, different start. My
- 11:12Speaker 1: name is Mr Harvey. Yeah, that's it. That's all I
- 11:17Speaker 1: want to do. I had to tell that so many
- 11:19Speaker 1: boys this weekend. At the minute of cant Hey, Steve,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I says, Mr Harvey. Okay, are cool. But hey, Steve,
- 11:27Speaker 1: let me ask you this. Are you stupid? I just
- 11:35Speaker 1: walked away from him. I said, mentor, Mr Harve, ain't
- 11:37Speaker 1: tried talk. He said this way, he said, Steve, I
- 11:39Speaker 1: can't tried talking you three times and you I said, hey, man,
- 11:42Speaker 1: I told you my name, Mr Harvey. Man, just give
- 11:44Speaker 1: me that respect and you can talk to Damn I dead.
- 11:48Speaker 1: That's what they come to the line. You're right. So
- 11:51Speaker 1: I saw him somewhere by myself and I said, my man,
- 11:54Speaker 1: come here, what you want to talk about? Oh, Mr Harvey?
- 11:58Speaker 1: I forgot? Did you remember? Mr Harvey? Yeah? Remember that
- 12:02Speaker 1: something's working, you know. But if you can't remember what
- 12:05Speaker 1: you said at thirteen, you feel to be stupid. He
- 12:10Speaker 1: just left the camp. Yeah. I meant to change boys lives.
- 12:15Speaker 1: But if you don't want yours change, didn't call your
- 12:17Speaker 1: ass on. If you think you got another way you
- 12:21Speaker 1: can make it other than by doing it the right way,
- 12:24Speaker 1: go ahead. You're gonna have to come back to me, don't.
- 12:26Speaker 1: They're gonna work out. Good morning, everyone calling for real?
- 12:29Speaker 1: How are you today? I am doing well. How are
- 12:31Speaker 1: you guys? Mr? Harvey Fellas? Good? Happy? Sad? What's going on? Steve?

- 13:36Speaker 1: one O three, I gone in. Wow, I'm gonna have
- 13:41Speaker 1: done it all by the ya, you have done quite
- 13:44Speaker 1: a bit. I've done quite a bit. Right now, you've
- 13:47Speaker 1: done You've done enough to leave. You've actually done enough
- 13:52Speaker 1: for this life and then the next one. If you
- 13:56Speaker 1: did come back, you need to choose you. Yeah, he
- 14:00Speaker 1: did come back having to do come back as you
- 14:03Speaker 1: right now? You don't start all over right right right, Joan,

- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm come back. Then I might want to come back
- 14:17Speaker 1: as an eagle. Eagle Alaska. Yeah, just come back as
- 14:23Speaker 1: an eagle in the laugh all that. Sam and I like, Sam. Yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 1: that's what we do when we come back. Let's talk
- 14:28Speaker 1: about what we like to come back back. You don't
- 14:30Speaker 1: really want to be bothered when you get back down.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I want to flow. I got to go to work.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Let me get something. We'll be back with something funny.
- 14:43Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, guys, it's
- 14:48Speaker 1: time for something funny. So last break we were talking
- 14:51Speaker 1: about Steve. You know, when you die and come back,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I won't come back as an eagle. We were tripping
- 14:58Speaker 1: on that because in Alaska it's pretty up. There ain't
- 15:02Speaker 1: a whole lot of people, plenty of salmon. I like salmon.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna be able to fly off. I ain't got
- 15:12Speaker 1: to talk to a lot of people. I ain't got
- 15:14Speaker 1: to go to work. I just gotta get up and
- 15:15Speaker 1: find some meat. I'm not getting married when I'm an eagle.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't want no I don't I don't want no ness.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I don't want no chicks. I got to take care
- 15:26Speaker 1: of I just want to be a big ball ego
- 15:30Speaker 1: and keep it pimping. That's what I want to come back,
- 15:33Speaker 1: ass dudue from in the air. Let it, let it fly.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I want to fly like an eagle about j I
- 15:47Speaker 1: want to yeah, pot on and my name will be
- 15:54Speaker 1: winging the I'm okay an't able to knock lights out
- 16:06Speaker 1: swinging swinging it, come sling it. You gotta put it
- 16:13Speaker 1: up for that eagle, dump on you. I want it
- 16:15Speaker 1: like I want to live. I want whiff too, baby more.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Why okay, Junior, be honest with y'all. I don't want
- 16:29Speaker 1: to no eagle. I don't want to be no points.
- 16:31Speaker 1: So I want love. I just want to come back
- 16:33Speaker 1: as healthy, you know, back in. I just want to
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know, I just I just want to visit a hospital,
- 16:42Speaker 1: you know. I don't want to be in it. I
- 16:43Speaker 1: want to visit you know what, you know what. I
- 16:45Speaker 1: don't know where at the hospital. I don't know. I

- 17:13Speaker 1: use the friends. I'll be back to see the moro.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't know all to get well soon but later.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I don't want to give him to somebody. You want
- 17:22Speaker 1: to let me hear the dog. You want to use
- 17:25Speaker 1: a friend? So how did you treat me in? Yeah? Yeah,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you want to come back, not even shots. I want
- 17:32Speaker 1: to talk to the doctor outside room with the little voice.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah that's all that. Let me do that. Yeah, they
- 17:43Speaker 1: do it, y'all. You know what. He's doing a lot
- 17:48Speaker 1: better now. That's what you need to keep him on
- 17:50Speaker 1: watch for you. That's what you want to get that.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I will come back here. I don't want to be
- 17:55Speaker 1: no eagle. I want to be healthy. Yeah, man, thought

- 18:45Speaker 1: to be next to all the time. Ask for then
- 18:51Speaker 1: let somebody else take you off. That couldn't be somebody else.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Just throw your asks in a corner. I can't. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: can't do that. Did that make sense? That? Donn appeal?
- 19:12Speaker 1: What else? Tommy? You get one more doing. He's stupid.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Stupid people to say black stuff. What do you think
- 19:22Speaker 1: that what we saved him for last? Now he comes
- 19:25Speaker 1: back as a lady. Look here in a drought till
- 19:29Speaker 1: till win. But when you come get me right up around,
- 19:35Speaker 1: it's your special day. So you're just gonna be the
- 19:40Speaker 1: little piece. They moved out to wait for somebody else
- 19:42Speaker 1: to get still right down. Well, Steve, let's switch subjects,
- 19:47Speaker 1: because it is your anniversary. This week is your anniversary,
- 19:54Speaker 1: this weekend? You got some do you always do it?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Big man? You lay it out for your wife? Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 1: but I can't. She might run right now? Can you
- 20:04Speaker 1: give us a hint? So we're just gonna drive so far,
- 20:09Speaker 1: so much special? Okay, driving after y'all land in the
- 20:13Speaker 1: private plane. How y'all gonna do it though, No, we're
- 20:16Speaker 1: not going we're gonna drive. She don't know. We're gonna be.
- 20:22Speaker 1: We're gonna get driven somewhere. Okay, okay, I can't thank you.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I ain't thank you, not at night. Now we're gonna
- 20:29Speaker 1: leave tonight. She don't know, so she would get there
- 20:32Speaker 1: and complete darkness. So when she wake up the surprise,
- 20:35Speaker 1: why she doesn't even know where she's going. No, no,
- 20:38Speaker 1: she just know what's something. I can't do it. She
- 20:43Speaker 1: really got a pack. Now, I got everything at taking
- 20:45Speaker 1: care of what, I got everything down now already ain't
- 20:49Speaker 1: got stop talking. Can't happen, No, you know what he's

- 25:04Speaker 1: So what now? A wet robe contest? You're talking about

- 25:28Speaker 1: a wet road contest. I heard a wet T shirt contest.
- 25:33Speaker 1: That's not that's not the same thing though, right, Well, no,
- 25:36Speaker 1: it's a little bit different. What it is you don't
- 25:37Speaker 1: have a T shirt on. You actually have your your
- 25:40Speaker 1: your quire robe on and you don't have anything underneath it.
- 25:44Speaker 1: You don't wear any clothes undneathing. What we do is
- 25:48Speaker 1: all of ladies listen to me. We're gonna let all

- 26:00Speaker 1: half of the money is gonna go to the children's vacation. Hello,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you're talking about a wet teacher contest in the church. No,
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm talking about a wet road contest at the church. No,
- 26:13Speaker 1: I'm not there getting there and and and and be naked.
- 26:17Speaker 1: It's gonna be it's gonna be out, it's gonna be road.
- 26:20Speaker 1: We need you to be completely naked on your road.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna win everybody down with the water holes in
- 26:25Speaker 1: the finest one is going to be able to uh
- 26:29Speaker 1: to win five hundred dollars and two hundred and fifty
- 26:32Speaker 1: of that half of that money is gonna go to
- 26:34Speaker 1: the children's They cald on, hold on, what do you
- 26:36Speaker 1: say your name was? Again? My name? My name is Bryan. Right.
- 26:40Speaker 1: How long you've been a member of this church? Because
- 26:42Speaker 1: I don't ever remember me? Okay, I've been a member
- 26:47Speaker 1: for about three weeks now, Like I said, since I
- 26:49Speaker 1: was a major in marketing. They actually threw me into
- 26:52Speaker 1: no way after three weeks that they're gonna put you
- 26:55Speaker 1: in charge of something. I don't understand why the other
- 26:57Speaker 1: problem with you trying to pitch and help I don't
- 27:00Speaker 1: even know you are there trying to create that you
- 27:07Speaker 1: don't want to help me. I want to help the kids,
- 27:10Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna get up there and no choir road.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I'm doing my best right now not to cuss you
- 27:14Speaker 1: out because I'm a woman's gude. So you're too good
- 27:17Speaker 1: to be naked under your role? Is that what you're saying?
- 27:20Speaker 1: You're two broods. Look, I don't have to exclaim myself,
- 27:23Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna be naked up to no church. Okay,
- 27:26Speaker 1: So so you couldn't do the naked roll. God, you
- 27:29Speaker 1: can't do that for the kids. I know you're not
- 27:32Speaker 1: about to tell me what I can and cannot do
- 27:33Speaker 1: for no kids. Now. I don't know who gave you
- 27:36Speaker 1: my number, but I think you need to figure out
- 27:37Speaker 1: who else to call for this because I'm not gonna
- 27:39Speaker 1: be a part of this. Were called all the other
- 27:41Speaker 1: Quam members and they don't have a problem with it.
- 27:45Speaker 1: If you're don't call allice Fire members, what are they names?
- 27:47Speaker 1: What other choire members did you call that we were called?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Were called sister Sister Bridge in the quair to the
- 27:56Speaker 1: Bridget that I have a problem with it, ain't no.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Since the bridget in the quair, Okay, how about Sister Rachel.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Sister Rachel in the choir was fine with it. Ain't no,
- 28:07Speaker 1: Sister Rachel. Sister Rachel wouldn't be getting naked. Okay, okay, okay,
- 28:13Speaker 1: let me ask you this something. Look, look, you know
- 28:16Speaker 1: I don't know, but I think do you know Sister
- 28:20Speaker 1: de Vita in the choir? Hello, yes, do you know
- 28:26Speaker 1: Sister de Vita in the koa, Yes, I know Sister Divita. Okay,
- 28:31Speaker 1: So so if Suster Devita said that, Sister Bridge and it,
- 28:36Speaker 1: Sister Rachel didn't have a problem doing it, why do
- 28:40Speaker 1: you have a problem doing it. I'm not about to
- 28:42Speaker 1: be naked in a church, but can't You're not getting
- 28:45Speaker 1: naked in the church. You're gonna be in the back
- 28:48Speaker 1: part of the church and we're gonna spray you down
- 28:50Speaker 1: with a water holes on your road. That's what We're
- 28:53Speaker 1: not gonna be up there. This is disgusting what Thomas
- 28:56Speaker 1: said you would do it. Tomas said you didn't have
- 28:58Speaker 1: no problem doing it. Who the hell it's Tommy. We
- 29:01Speaker 1: don't even have a Tommy at the church. You keep
- 29:03Speaker 1: making up all these maids. Tommy is nephew tom from
- 29:07Speaker 1: the Steve Harby Morning Show. That's who Tommy? You Hello, Yes,
- 29:16Speaker 1: this is Tommy. Baby, This is nephew Tommy. How are
- 29:18Speaker 1: you doing? Oh my god, that's not real. This is
- 29:23Speaker 1: not it's not real baby. That nobody was calling you
- 29:26Speaker 1: about doing a wet road this you are you. I
- 29:30Speaker 1: was gonna go out on you. You were already going
- 29:33Speaker 1: off for me. The Vida got me to prank phone
- 29:36Speaker 1: call you. Oh my god, I'm gonna get I was
- 29:42Speaker 1: holding my time. What you're saying you was about to come.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I was about to cut you out right out. Maybe
- 29:48Speaker 1: I gotta ask you. You gotta tell me what's the
- 29:50Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the
- 29:53Speaker 1: late Steve Harvey Morning Show Road Contact that robe at
- 30:01Speaker 1: the church? What? Of course, I've been telling y'all about
- 30:05Speaker 1: my part in a few time along with Blazers in
- 30:08Speaker 1: Bow Task that's going down July seven at the Help
- 30:12Speaker 1: Museum Herman Drive. That's fourth July weekend. The ak S
- 30:16Speaker 1: will be in town. I got the buffet, I got
- 30:18Speaker 1: the DJ, I got the live band, and I got
- 30:20Speaker 1: the open ball in Houston, Texas. You don't want to
- 30:24Speaker 1: miss it. Go to event right dot com and get
- 30:26Speaker 1: your take. Us on pre sale right now. Event right
- 30:29Speaker 1: dot Com calling all Greeks and agrees. I don't care
- 30:32Speaker 1: what y'all come, have a part. But coming up at
- 30:33Speaker 1: the top of the hour, did you guys see the
- 30:35Speaker 1: protesters who heckled the Homeland Security change why she was
- 30:40Speaker 1: dining at a Mexican restaurant. She had the nerve to
- 30:43Speaker 1: go to a Mexican restaurant. We're talking about it. Coming
- 30:46Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. What are you
- 30:47Speaker 1: doing here? Yeah? Why are you here? My friends? You're
- 30:51Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, just a
- 30:56Speaker 1: reminder coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, DC
- 30:59Speaker 1: young Lie, Carlos Millachico being eighty five South, the crew,
- 31:03Speaker 1: the fellas are hanging out with us this morning. That's
- 31:05Speaker 1: at twenty after. But first, did you guys see when
- 31:08Speaker 1: the protesters heppled Department of Homeland Security Christian Nielsen, she
- 31:14Speaker 1: had the nerve the audacity to eat dinner at the
- 31:17Speaker 1: Mexican restaurant. Yeah. You holding all these people up at
- 31:23Speaker 1: the border and separating kids from their parents, they decided
- 31:26Speaker 1: you want to make them. Yeah, yeah, that's what happened.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Nielsen was targeted by protesters. They were angry, of course,
- 31:39Speaker 1: over the Trump's administration border policy that separated children from
- 31:43Speaker 1: their families along the US and Mexican border. One of
- 31:46Speaker 1: the protesters said to Nielsen, children don't get to eat
- 31:50Speaker 1: in peace, and you don't get to eat in peace.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Take a listen to them yelling and chanting. She ship
- 32:08Speaker 1: hard to eat that. It's hard to like that. Man.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you your ass cannot shame. I'm
- 32:18Speaker 1: trying to chew. But see, man, let me tell you
- 32:21Speaker 1: what happened here. What really happened here was it backfired
- 32:24Speaker 1: on the Trump administration because Kelly Sessions, all of them thought,
- 32:29Speaker 1: this is what we'll do when they come to the border,
- 32:33Speaker 1: will separate the families. That'll discourage everyone else for coming.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Because once you see that you could be separated from
- 32:40Speaker 1: your child, that's gonna discourage others from coming. It was
- 32:43Speaker 1: employed to discourage border crossings at all levels. So when
- 32:48Speaker 1: we catch you, we're gonna separate you. Now, that's supposed
- 32:51Speaker 1: to be a deterrent. What backfired was even the Republicans
- 32:55Speaker 1: knew once they started acting it out, this is a
- 32:58Speaker 1: horrible mistake. But then and since they made a mistake,
- 33:01Speaker 1: they asked try to actually hold on to it. And
- 33:04Speaker 1: the reason this lady is getting heckl is because of
- 33:06Speaker 1: the things she said about it. And they kept trying
- 33:09Speaker 1: to make it it was a democratic law in all
- 33:11Speaker 1: of this, and they tried to make it into that,
- 33:13Speaker 1: and that's that's not what it is. You all have
- 33:16Speaker 1: enacted the policy, and then you said Congress has to
- 33:19Speaker 1: change the law. And then when Milania and his daughter
- 33:25Speaker 1: went off about it, he had to change it. That's
- 33:29Speaker 1: the bad room pressure, folks. That's when the person you
- 33:32Speaker 1: sleep with is in your ass. No, and she down
- 33:36Speaker 1: the hall and that's like you said, she find down
- 33:44Speaker 1: that hall though too, so you can't get anybody else
- 33:47Speaker 1: up in there. You got to hear that kind of stuff.
- 33:52Speaker 1: But being able to see the images of what they
- 33:54Speaker 1: were doing and flipped it on Trump real big time. Man,
- 33:57Speaker 1: It really did, because you know he had no idea
- 34:00Speaker 1: this was going to happen. That audio the kids crisp, yeah,
- 34:04Speaker 1: you cover of Time magazine. They got a little bit
- 34:07Speaker 1: of red and Trump standing over her and the captain
- 34:11Speaker 1: is welcome to America. But don lemmer Man, he kept
- 34:14Speaker 1: running it and running it and running it. It stopped
- 34:17Speaker 1: change of imaginative. Man, it really did. Yeah. So, like
- 34:20Speaker 1: I was saying, Nielsen, the Homeland Security deputy, she had
- 34:22Speaker 1: to eventually leave the restaurant. And then, uh, you know,
- 34:25Speaker 1: the President told her good job because he had to reverse,
- 34:28Speaker 1: like you said, Steve, the zero tolerance policy that she
- 34:32Speaker 1: had defended. And she vowed that the administration would never
- 34:36Speaker 1: apologize for that. So and you have to because it's idiotic. Yeah,
- 34:41Speaker 1: it doesn't make any sense. You know, you could sit there.
- 34:44Speaker 1: It's a mistake. The problem with this White House that
- 34:46Speaker 1: they never think and they never say they made a mistake.
- 34:49Speaker 1: They just don't apologize for it. Ladies and gentlemen. Here
- 34:54Speaker 1: she is miss and Tripp but everybody, and here we go. Yeah.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Jeff Sessions, the U. S. Attorney General and the Justice Department,
- 35:03Speaker 1: is asking a federal judge to change the existing rules
- 35:05Speaker 1: for detaining migrant families who went to the country illegally. Now.
- 35:08Speaker 1: The request coming, of course, on the heels of President
- 35:10Speaker 1: Trump's executive order this weeken ending the separate detention of
- 35:13Speaker 1: children away from their parents under current regulations, immigrant children
- 35:17Speaker 1: cannot be held for more than twenty days. Okay, However,
- 35:19Speaker 1: the Justice Department wants that change so that children can
- 35:22Speaker 1: be detained with their parents for as long as it
- 35:24Speaker 1: takes for the determination to be made in that family's case,
- 35:27Speaker 1: for as long as whatever. ABC reports that five hundred
- 35:30Speaker 1: migrant children have been reunited with their families. Meanwhile, you
- 35:33Speaker 1: heard about it. The First Lady, Malania Trump, did travel
- 35:36Speaker 1: to McCallen, Texas yesterday, where she met with a group
- 35:38Speaker 1: of migrant third graders and unaccompanied youngsters, and she addressed
- 35:42Speaker 1: them as well as those caring for them. We all
- 35:44Speaker 1: know they're having their care without their families, and I
- 35:49Speaker 1: want to thank you for your hid, your your compassion,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and your kindness, your giving them in these difficult times.
- 35:56Speaker 1: There was a little dust up over what you what
- 35:58Speaker 1: was written on the casual act that you ward read.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I don't really care, do you? When when I asked
- 36:03Speaker 1: about the jacket, the First Lady spokesperson said, it's just
- 36:06Speaker 1: the jacket, there's no hidden message. Things were different yesterday
- 36:09Speaker 1: for a group of US mayors who visited the site
- 36:11Speaker 1: of a new tent and can't meant for Margaret children
- 36:13Speaker 1: along the US Mexico border. The delegation was denied entry,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and two of those left standing outside where Columbia, South
- 36:19Speaker 1: Carolina Stephen Benjamin in Miami's Francis Wuarett. We wanted to,
- 36:23Speaker 1: as the elected leaders of of our various cities, to
- 36:26Speaker 1: be able to lay eyes on these children, to be
- 36:28Speaker 1: able to go back to the people that we represent
- 36:31Speaker 1: to say that we've laid eyes on these children and
- 36:33Speaker 1: this is what is happening. There are still a ton
- 36:36Speaker 1: of unanswered questions. When are these children going to be
- 36:39Speaker 1: reunited with their families, What kind of conditions are they
- 36:43Speaker 1: living in? Why are we a bipartisan, nonpartisan group being
- 36:47Speaker 1: denied access to these facilities? What is what's what's there
- 36:52Speaker 1: to hide? The group of close to twenty mayors say
- 36:54Speaker 1: they were told to submit a formal request that could
- 36:56Speaker 1: take at least two weeks to get approved. They've been
- 36:59Speaker 1: demonstration for the asked two nights over the police killing
- 37:01Speaker 1: of an unarmed black teenager, seventeen year old Antoine Rhodes.
- 37:04Speaker 1: They say the white cop who killed him had only
- 37:06Speaker 1: been sworn in three hours earlier, shooting the unarmed Antoine
- 37:09Speaker 1: Roads three times in the back at a traffic stop
- 37:12Speaker 1: as he ran away from the car he was riding in.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Authorities say the car was suspected of being involved in
- 37:16Speaker 1: the nearby shooting. Inside the cops say they found two guns,
- 37:19Speaker 1: but the driver was questioned and later released. The cop
- 37:23Speaker 1: who killed Antoine had worked for other police departments. Check
- 37:26Speaker 1: out my Facebook page if you want to know some
- 37:28Speaker 1: more about this. Congress, by the way, spent yesterday trying
- 37:30Speaker 1: to pass an immigration bill. They're gonna try again today. Finally,
- 37:34Speaker 1: it's take your Dog to Work Day by Were you
- 37:42Speaker 1: back to morning? He came in the Today's Trending Topics

- 43:01Speaker 1: what did you just say? Don't don't But I have
- 43:04Speaker 1: my attitude. I have security out on stage. I'm old school. Dog.
- 43:09Speaker 1: I can't take all that. That's what we need. We
- 43:12Speaker 1: need all that. No, dog, I have a Cuban bodyguard

- 43:21Speaker 1: a good n He's to go to the MLB now
- 43:28Speaker 1: he works security for Steve. I know it's talking about
- 43:34Speaker 1: a couple of things. First of all, d C Fly,
- 43:37Speaker 1: what I worked on earlier in my career was a
- 43:39Speaker 1: brand I had made a decision, a conscious decision about
- 43:42Speaker 1: I was gonna beat this brand because when The King's
- 43:46Speaker 1: First came out, I was the only one that wore suit,
- 43:50Speaker 1: said Ward Church and Bernie wore just shirts and Western
- 43:53Speaker 1: shirts and stuff. And then you know, man, when it
- 43:56Speaker 1: came out and they go Steve Clean and everybody start
- 44:00Speaker 1: wearing suits. I always knew that about me. When you
- 44:04Speaker 1: on stage, d C, I see totally different gears, Like
- 44:07Speaker 1: you walk out there with just no damn shirt on
- 44:09Speaker 1: at all, which would be a complete disaster if I
- 44:11Speaker 1: do that with your shirt. He's like, bust the Douglas
- 44:27Speaker 1: Steve Order, like go to corral, biscuit, look at me.
- 44:35Speaker 1: And that picture got out by accident, but I took
- 44:44Speaker 1: it on purpose, but I said, hey, that don't look right.
- 44:47Speaker 1: And a photograph food out there and sold that things
- 44:51Speaker 1: so fasting. But what's what's your thinking of how you
- 44:55Speaker 1: dress out there? D c oh and create the particle.
- 44:58Speaker 1: We talked about that all the time. Like Ico, he
- 45:01Speaker 1: eat in the fashion he the freshes over us all, yeah,
- 45:06Speaker 1: so crazy this me. I would pack the same thing
- 45:10Speaker 1: piece Peko got. But well, where my sweat suit on stage?
- 45:13Speaker 1: Because I just want to feel comfortable. Right If I
- 45:16Speaker 1: don't feel comfortable, I want to look for it. I
- 45:18Speaker 1: don't want to be the guy on the fresh. It
- 45:21Speaker 1: don't match with what I'm saying. You feel saying. If
- 45:24Speaker 1: I'm talking about roaches and I got on a little
- 45:26Speaker 1: a time, what do you think what happening? If you
- 45:28Speaker 1: want a suit on stage with the time and when
- 45:31Speaker 1: it when I would be talking about at the time
- 45:33Speaker 1: I talked about Yeah, I talked about funerals on me,
- 45:37Speaker 1: situations where I wanted to because it ain't it ain't uncomfortable.
- 45:40Speaker 1: I went to court, I have been bash. Don't think
- 45:44Speaker 1: I kept the suit on. Don't I'm still me. Don't
- 45:48Speaker 1: play that. We'll be back with more young lines right
- 45:51Speaker 1: here on d C. You're listening, Steve kind of up
- 46:00Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes

- 56:36Speaker 1: to reach out to the sister. We started dating, and
- 56:42Speaker 1: I never expected to fall for her. We've been dating
- 56:46Speaker 1: now for eighteen months, and I want to marry this woman.
- 56:49Speaker 1: The problem is I feel guilty. She doesn't know that
- 56:53Speaker 1: I've been intimate with her sister. They are best friends
- 56:57Speaker 1: and they share every detail of each other's lives. I
- 57:00Speaker 1: can only wonder if they discussed this situation, but I
- 57:03Speaker 1: don't think they have. Steve. Should I bring it up
- 57:07Speaker 1: and clear the air? Should I pull the sister aside?
- 57:11Speaker 1: And make a pack to never bring it up. Or
- 57:14Speaker 1: should I pretend like nothing happened and move on with
- 57:17Speaker 1: my woman. I need to know something so I can
- 57:20Speaker 1: propose to this woman and spend the rest of my
- 57:23Speaker 1: life with him. Please help, No, you gotta give me that.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Come on, God, come on calling. You're dead wrong for this.
- 57:38Speaker 1: I mean, you broke up with the first woman, the
- 57:40Speaker 1: older sister, and then you see a picture of her
- 57:44Speaker 1: little sister on Facebook, and then you started to date her.
- 57:48Speaker 1: It's one thing if you didn't know that that wasn't
- 57:51Speaker 1: your excess little sister. But you knew and you still
- 57:55Speaker 1: proceeded to date her. Where's the honor in that? What
- 57:59Speaker 1: is that? A out? And now you're trying to be
- 58:01Speaker 1: a good man and settle down with your ex girlfriend's
- 58:04Speaker 1: little sister. So let me say this, in my opinion,
- 58:08Speaker 1: you want to get a divorce again, because this is
- 58:10Speaker 1: probably why you got a divorce the first time, because
- 58:13Speaker 1: you make bad decisions. I'm surprised the sisters they don't
- 58:17Speaker 1: even you know, I'm surprised they don't know about each
- 58:19Speaker 1: other already. And then the letter you asked the question
- 58:22Speaker 1: should you make a pack with your ex and never
- 58:25Speaker 1: bring up y'all's relationship to her younger sister. So you're
- 58:31Speaker 1: you're just trying to start a relationship out on bad lies.
- 58:36Speaker 1: You're just starting it out out the gate on bad lies.
- 58:39Speaker 1: My advice to you is that if you're going to
- 58:40Speaker 1: marry the younger sister, you better tell her that you
- 58:44Speaker 1: had a relationship with her older sister. These women are sisters.
- 58:50Speaker 1: He's wrong for this. He is wrong for this. All
- 58:52Speaker 1: the women in the world. He gonna date his ex
- 58:54Speaker 1: girlfriend's little sister, he's wrong for that. Steve, stop listening
- 59:01Speaker 1: to the carm He's wrong her, Mama. Here's the problem.
- 59:08Speaker 1: This man got a divorce. He went wild. He was
- 59:11Speaker 1: dating women. He dated this one girl, really sweet girl
- 59:13Speaker 1: from the church. Uh. He wasn't ready to sell her down,
- 59:17Speaker 1: so the girl quit fooling with her. A year later,
- 59:20Speaker 1: he saw a picture of her younger sister on Facebook
- 59:23Speaker 1: and she was incredible. So I decided to reach out
- 59:27Speaker 1: to the system. Right there, Dog, you're wrong, like two
- 59:31Speaker 1: left shoes. All the women in the world, you find
- 59:35Speaker 1: your exes, you find your ex is younger sister, and
- 59:40Speaker 1: she incredible, and you go after her and never tell
- 59:44Speaker 1: her that you had her sister. So let's let's let
- 59:49Speaker 1: me talk to you about the man part of this
- 59:50Speaker 1: that I know you really got jiggy here because you're
- 59:55Speaker 1: really trying to test your skill. I'm gonna see if
- 59:57Speaker 1: I can get both to these sisters. You had at
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: every intent of going after this younger sister. You had
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: every intent of sleeping with her from the first time
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: you saw her on Facebook because you were a man.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I won't that let me holiday huh too. Now, you
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: set out to sleep with her. You didn't set out
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to be her friend, because if you just want to
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: be her friend, you would have told her about her sister.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: You know, I used to kick it with your sister,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: but man, I just want to be cool with you.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: You set out to sleep with this young girl and
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: you did it. Now you've don't fell in love with
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: her eight Team Monsts and their sisters, and they're the
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: best of friends. So now let me ask you. So,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I don't know how eight Team Monster went by, but
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: the best of friends with social media being the way
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: it is, and she ain't seen a picture you so much,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: you don't think her sister had said, So, who is
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: this your day? Let me see it? Pitch you it's no,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: it's almost virtually impossible if they're the best of friends. Girl,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I'm in love this and it's so sweet. Can't let
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: me see a picture? Now, she might have showed him
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: the picture and the older sister just freaked out and went,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: oh my god, yeah, oh my god, and would be
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: embarrassed to tell her younger sister don't want to win
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: her younger sister's happiness. But either way, man, you got
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: a real problem because you don't know the answer to
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: those questions. So now what you're gonna proposed to do?
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: You want to marry her spend the rest of your life.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: So now you're dumb ass thinks that you should go
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: back to the one you slept with and make a
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: pack with her and say, hold up, listen, I ain't
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: gonna never bring this up. If you don't never bring yourself.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Just let bygones be bygones. And now you're gonna ask
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: her not to say nothing until the little sister after
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: you bring it to her, which she's not obligated to
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: bring to her little sister. See now, even if she
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: knows you, she ain't being confronted with it. But if
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you bring it to her attention, she's not confronted with
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: You're the full blown piece of mess right here. Thought. Yeah,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: but you you deserve whatever happened to your dog, because
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: on the reel you set out to conquer this girl.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: It was all ego with you. It's way too many
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: women out there, man, you doggish man, and you got
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: what's coming your way. And you could lose both of them.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: There's another that would be bad. Shut up, Tommy. Then
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: what's the other side you? He can beat it both
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: sty stupid, both of them. All right, we'll have part
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: two of Steve's response to today's Strawberry letter at twenty three.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: After you're listening to show, Okay, Steeve Shirley's out Strawberry,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you want to recap's letter. Dude was married seventeen years,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: been divorced six had a lot of women, met this
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: one girl at a church, nice girl, a lot of
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: intimate moments. She was wonderful. She wanted to settle down.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: He didn't, so she stopped fooling with it because she
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: wanted more. A year later, he going through Facebook, he
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: spots her younger sister. Her younger sister was incredible. He
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: reaches out to the younger sister starts seeing the younger sister,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: the full blown relationship. He didn't fell in love with
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: the younger sister, not a younger sister and older sister
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: best friend. He want to know now if he should
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: go to the older sister that he didn't slept with.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: It messed over and say how I'm sleeping with your
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: little sister, but I want to marry her. But I
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: promise you I'll never say nothing about us if you
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: don't really. Yeah, well, he wrong on on a lot
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: of levels, because first of all, you set out to
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: sleep You weren't trying to be her friend. You weren't
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: trying to contact your old flame back up or nothing.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: You went after her, and you did it as game.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna see if I can sleep with both of
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: these sisters. Yeah, you gotta have some games to sleep
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: with two sisters. I know exactly what you're saying, well,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: because that's got across your mind. Younger sisters always always,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you know, he just didn't know it. He had no idea.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I got trying to justify this man's action kind of
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: a little bit. I mean, we're not justifying it, but
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: we understand kind of a little bit. I mean, involved. Now, yeah,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: his heart is involved, but the hearting got involved after
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: the game was started, so now he in love. Now
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: now he's stupid as just how stupid he is. Should
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I go to the older sister and tell her about
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: us and just tell her not to say nothing, because
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: I'm want to be here the rest of my life
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: with her as a as a sibling that has in
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: a family with an older sister. Sometimes you just have
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: to understand things that we should be in the Yeah,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: I mean that's that's the way. I Yeah, what he's
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: got in by a sister got to be a bridemaid.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I mean, why not? Y'all don't see that? How do
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you see? You have both of you all on the
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: same y'all Team Tommy and team j or anything that's
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: a dumba's team. If you're looking at him, justified it.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: You hear it, You hear it. They're talking to each
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: other like the foolishness that this dude has created for himself.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And he could run the risk of losing this girl
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: because it's hard man for women with her baby sister
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: and her older sister. And know that y'all and had
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the same man. And when I'm walk down the aisle
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: together gonna come on, and the older sister had feelings
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: for him, she wanted to marry him too. Well, here's
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a solution, though, Here is the solution. He has to
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: go to the other woman. He has to by the
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: other woman. You mean, the younger sister, the old older
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: sister that he used to be with. He has to
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: go to her and just come clean. But it's gonna
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: be awful because he's gonna say, I saw your younger sister.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: He knew it was her younger sister, That's what I said,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: and I went after her. Anyway, you got to have
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: that conversation. But out have messed around and fell in
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: love with her. But when I went after her, So
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: why did you go after my younger sister? If you
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: don't think she's gonna say that you stupid? Okay, so
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: you must be prepared with the answer. Let me on
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: the rail on the reel, just play the players. I'm
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: just gonna as I would go to the oldest sister,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: but I would I'm not gonna say, I'm gonna be
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: real with you. I would lie and say I didn't
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: know that was your sister until later. That's impossible. How
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: is that though, if you still saw and say I
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: met that, I met her. I didn't know that was
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: your sister though, but I didn't fell in love with.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I mean, there's a way to hold on. But listen
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: to me. At what point is he gonna admit that
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: he knew it was her? Boy, he's gonna lie. We're
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: gonna lie to the end at Wait a minute, so
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: he gonna say I never knew that was your sister.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: You have to say until I'm just not realized. And
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I looked on Facebook feelings, but I got it. I
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: got a different question, Steve. Hold up, But bro, that's
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: another lie that can be dispelled so quickly. Yeah, that's
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: why I said he's starting out lying. He see that
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: there's a lot that he don't even have to tell
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: because all it's gonna do is compounded. Anyway, if you
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: go to the oldest sister, he say I met your
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: younger sister, we fell in love. I want to get
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: mad and the older sisters there, Okay, I agree, I'm
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: just saying that stops. Let me hear that I agree
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: not to tell my younger sister. Did he go ahead
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: and ask the young Yeah? Okay, but you've got to
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: you've got to go with this older sister to show
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: some form of decency about your dirty doggy shape. But
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: if you don't go to the older woman and explain,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: because man, you're feel to mess up a family. Man, dog,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: You've fel to hurt these girls. You've already been through
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: that you've done the wrong thing. You know, you're just
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: laying a waist line of just broken women. You can't
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: do that, man, Damn. At one point in time, you
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: got to be decent. Man. You have to apologize to
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: a woman to give us some form of closure. You
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: can't just run through people like that. Man. Sorry than sorry,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: team Steve, because that Tommy is ignorant. Yes, I'm just
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: saying I would lie. We know what you were saying.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Ain't nobody still I would lie? I would like I'm saying,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: I would like to see Tommy. That's another lie though,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: I know. But that one lie is going to help
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: it and might lock it down. It'll lock it up, No,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: it won't. Women are not stupid. Women asked questions. Okay, okay,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: let's back. If you meet a person and let's just
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: say it actually happened for real that way, Let's just
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: say I didn't know that that John was kid. Let's listen.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Even if it was a cuse, I mean, we didn't know.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Hold up, listen to me. First of all, both of y'all,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: this is on the radio right now. I understand that
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I know who my wife SPSL. Though I'm just saying
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: if I if I met her and didn't know, but
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: he knew, he said he knew, but the lie help
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: he proceeded to date her right here, don't come. I
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: can bite you worse will All right, we gotta go
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: shut him nephew. You can email or instagram us your

- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Joseph got a ball game, Yes he does. He got
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: a ball, don't he do? Know how to hoot? But
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: out the rebound? Right? You know how they're gone though,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Steve Man, it was weird that they some money. Ste
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: heard you Steve heard, and I want to come to
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: clear the rugger do still no money? Money made a
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: song about talking about if you gonna listen to the
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: podcast with that voice mess card your studio the most
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: d Yeah about what happen. First of all, let me
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: tell you this. They didn't steal any money. Okay, okay,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: they didn't. Good news listens ain't to find South So yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: they had a whole misunderstanding going onbody. They're really good dudes.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: They yeah they're doing we've been still how much did
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: they see? It was like it was like enough of
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: that day really was no poets, lunch money, peace money.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: At that time, I didn't really see it as that way. No,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: it wasn't really the principle because it really wasn't nothing
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: really to me, you know. But when you got a
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: lot of people working for your talking about we can't
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: have this, when we can't have that, you know, and
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: then that's that's kind of far away from my other businesses.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: So you know, they became casualties of war. That's all
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: that sometimes when they got freed up though, Yeah, they
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: got freed up to go beat who they really could be.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: They we want the job. They didn't want to be nobody.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: And I know they'd rather work for meeting you three
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: idiots right now, we're paying nothing. We're working for love.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Right we're building over here. Yeah, but you're going miss
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: around to have something cause they cold hustlers. They do
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: get it. I want to think about it. Many they're
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: really good on their computer work, man, And that's why
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: we still heads and family. It's it's more so when
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: we do these shows, it ain't about no money, like
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I don't do these shows. Yes, last night were like
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get your coins, Like we're gonna get
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the coins. It ain't about the money over here, need
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: my polems. I come over here and he's like therapy,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: you did what I'm saying, especially when with us, that's
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: made the difference between us and y'all because it's all
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: about the damn Jesus. I need my money. We need it.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: But I'm saying with this, it ain't about no money,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: because you know that was gonna break up the family.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: This is a family right here. Once the money started tripping,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: we gotta put somebody to the like, hey, brother, I
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: hope you ain't really paying new feels over this. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: that's what I mean. No, no, no, we're not saying
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I'll talk at the money is coming. Don't don't get
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: me wrong. He makes the money, but it's not about
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: the money. It's about being a family and just telling
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: you together believe it. The money get broke three years,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: but that's the thing, like we blessed enough to make money,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: you know, just in comedy all around. You know, we
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: make money individually and when we come here and get
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: amongst each other, it's just something that like you said,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: it's therapy you're talking about, Like, I don't know if
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: it's ever been done before. You know, I've researched it,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: but I I know in our generation, there's never been
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: three guys to get on stage together, especially who have
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: three You've been three comedians who can individually say I'm
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: me and pay attention to me. All get on stage
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: together and share the stage and be able to create comedy.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: That's bridge between the gap that nobody has ever really
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: bridged before. So that's that is that is kind of innovative.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: If you're on stage at the same time. You know Jake,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: I've known j j was the first black headliner I
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: had ever seen in a comedy club ever in nine.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: This is the first dude I ever saw that was black.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: He made eighteen hundred dollars a week. I was getting
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: too for the week, first black man to make and
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: this dude right here, and I looked at him and
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: he taught me. He taught me how to be funny
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: because we had to learn it all because there was
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: no black rooms back then. There was no place for
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: blacks to go. The comedy act wasn't popping back then,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: none of that. The Steve Harvey's Comedy House wasn't there.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: All jokes aside wasn't there, Quakes clubs wasn't there. None
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: of that was there, man. So we had to learn
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: it the hard way. But y'all but see, like those
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: small company clubs is what helped made like the comics today.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like Mike ELPs, you feeling
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: generations of the comment like look look at the dogs
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: that y'all open up for to be the Mike ELPs
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: and did for us to be like, but y'all don't
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: even know what like it went on rules for us
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: to go. Y'all can go anywhere. It's a thousands of
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: small room, really, man, just some of the differences and
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the way it was and the way it is, but
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: there's still a lot of commonality. Like I was trying
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to explain to this young boy who was telling me
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: he was gonna change the way comedy is because he eighteen.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Ain't nowhere for eighteen year olds to tell jokes. It is,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: but you ain't gonna make no money at it because
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: at eighteen you have nothing to talk about. You ain't
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: got bad credit yet, you ain't got no baby. Don't
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: nobody give a damn if unless the story interesting. You're
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: not a thirteen. You don't have an interesting story from me.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Its third teen, so great that yeah, but that nor mama,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: let you do cring. We'll be back with more of
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: the Young Lions right here on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: D C Cheats you're listening, all right, y'all, we're back. Uh.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: We've been talking with the Three Young Lines. That's what
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I've labeled the Three Young Lines. Right there, I got
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: DC Young Fly, Juko Bean, and Carlos Miller. All right, man,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: it's talking about a couple of things. First of all,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: d C. Fly, you're the host of MTVS t r L.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: You're starting on Wild and Now, and we saw you
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Wednesday night on hire Pop Squares. Now, you also are
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: a singer, and you got a new single out called
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: never Threw Never threw a never thought it, never thought it,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: never thought. Yeah, on the paper say never thought never
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Well never never though, they never thought. With me and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Tony Roman, Man, I wrote the track She's from Chicago.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: You're doing real big things. I think she signed with
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: r C a UM and I had to hit the
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: probably two years ago, now like I missed with your music.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: And she was like yeah, man, you know I missed
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: with your music. So I'm like bad, we we we
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: we we kept in touch and then and I was
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: like there you go. It was there so talented. I
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: didn't make you say I didn't know. I do a
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: little something show you the young Jamie Fox. Yeah, I'm
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I'm I'm also like Jamie Fox with the Will Smiths
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: and just putting the music and the comedy and just
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: bringing it together. But I make sure I make I'll
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: keep them separated because I don't want nobody to take
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: my music. But I can't take them serious. I'm like, no,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I'm a different person with him doing music. I saw
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the video. You've seen the video. The video, Yeah, he
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: gotta see the video. I gotta see it, man, all
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: of us era, Okay. I've always said that Jamie FOXX
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: was probably the most talented of us all because the
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: boy can act, the boy can sing, the boy can play,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: and he can do stand act like you ain't never
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: seen Hamburger the most see y'all see y'all man University,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: you ain't seen the talented. That's why my ass ain't
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: coming on a wild and out right there, because that
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: right there that hurt me any wasn't about me, Like
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: you don't know, And man, let me talk to Carlos
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: for a second. Coach Carlos, you work with Kevin Hart
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: on the Love Comedy special and you're starting HBO's All
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Deaf Comedy Jam and you're on the new season whiling up.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: What's all this's been like for you so far? It's
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: been a lot of work. I feel like the people
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: liking my joke and the approach, but they just want
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: me to keep working. I'm like, you know, this will
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: go a whole lot smoother if y'all sent a few
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: more of them checks over there. I mean the half
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: hour special that was a dope look, but that is
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: a lot of work. Yeah, And Kevin Hard he got
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: he got a dope platform, and for him to just
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: open it up and let somebody else come over there
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: and be like, look, these are the guys who need
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: a shot. I really appreciate that. Yeah, but I really,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I really had a whole different approach to the comedy
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: game because I came in and write it like the
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: end before the social media got when you really had
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: to go out and let people see your faith, Like
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I actually had to come to the Jay spot and
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: that one weekend. Let me get the weekend. I didn't
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: know if he's seen me or not because he was
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: in the kitchen back and for him selling hots older,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: he's selling clothing, chicken wings, everything to get them laid
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: as taco that you all on huge it on winds.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my own sand at the Jay
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: spot a comedian. Yeah, got a whole sound, You'll get you.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I'm changing in you tomorrow. You don't have your own sound.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I don't need the whole pol Pork, I want to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: talk to you for a minute. Or Chico. You you're
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: on the new season a while and out you're starting
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: on trivial takedown on Fuse TV. Is this what you
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: always saw yourself doing? That you always had this as
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: a plan. No, I did not. I didn't have a
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: plan for myself for a long time. I'm gonna be honest,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: I didn't. I went there. I know. I'm not one
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: of the people that tell you I always knew that
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: out now. I didn't know what I was supposed to
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: be doing, you know what I mean? And I figured
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: it out as I went. But when I did realize
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: that I wanted to be a comedian, it was, honestly
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: just I got a degree from Winter to Salem State
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: and it was communications. I went and found out how
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: much I was gonna be making entry level at a
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: job and I said, we if I'm gonna be polling struggling,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: much rather be harn struggling, building my own legacy and
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: helping somebody else. Bill did. So. I've always been in
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: the comedy. I used to watch you know, old deaf
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: jam tapes, Earthquakes and you and Jay Anthony Brown, you
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: know what I mean, like uh, and so I just
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: always was into it. And I went to an open
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: mic in Greensboro, North Carolina, and I thought of doing
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: it in August of O wait, and I've been doing
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: it ever since. That day. Has been the greatest decision
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I have made in my life. Yeah. Yeah, but I
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: mean this is the thing though, you gotta like I realized, like,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: how accomplishment. This is a major accomplishment. This is an
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: accomplishment to be in a situation where we're talking to
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: you like you was one of those guys that have
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: that the trend that will last forever. So we just
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: to be recognized by you in that capacity is amazing. Man, No, man,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: you are you are all the three young lines just
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: walking the block. Because see, this is this is a
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: difficult business. I tell people this all the time. You know,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: comedy is the one business where there is no school
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: for you can take lessons to be a drummer, a singer,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: a tap down so you can take airplane lessons. You
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: go school be a dr Lawyd's just Dennis. You can
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: go to school learn how to do anything. Ain't on
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: school for this. This is what you purely have to
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: be born this way. Can't nobody teach you timing? Can
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: nobody teach you stage present? And can't nobody to make
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: your ass funny? You either is or you ain't. And
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: that's the sentence for it, right you even or you ain't. Yeah,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and I ain't really got no time for you if
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: you ain't all them. No, I'm funny as people running
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: around here man, because you got a little five minute
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: YouTube tape. Can't stand on stage for twenty minutes. But
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: you know that where the pressure come from from us
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: quote unquote in the net, social media Internet. You feel
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Like I was one one to actually
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: think it's see It's like seeing the door that it
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: was open. It was like, all you know what I'm
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: spend now you know what stand up here? My first
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: time I tried it, I would like that one that
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: one was I need to see that Donna every it
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: won't need by class. It was like you need to
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: go find one stand up. Yeah, this thought of your
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: journey right now, that can make you famous. But stand up,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: make your ass work now, making it funny, make you funny,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: It really does. But you gotta put the work in.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: You got to really hit them stage man. All right,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: y'all listen. Uh, We'll be back with more with the
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: three Young lines of comedy right now. These are the
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: next great ones. We got Carlos Miller, we got Chico
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Bean and DC Young Flop will be back. You're listening,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: all right, y'all. Hey listen, We're back with our DC
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Young Flock, Chico Bean, and Carlos Miller. Okay, let me
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: ask you question, d C. Where are you from? I'm
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: from a lot of West Side going and Ray Chico, Washington,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: d C. Carlos Oxford, Mississippi. Okay, cool, here's a deal.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I'm striking a deal right now where I'm about to
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: open up a series of a million dollars so much
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: whatever it is I want piece. So what I'm gonna
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: do is I'm looking for like great acts that are
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: can run these rooms, hosts rooms, and that's what I'm
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: about to do. I'm about to strike a deal man.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: I can't tell you what it is right now, but
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: we're putting the paperwork together right now, and I'm about
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: to open up a series of clubs around the country because,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: like you say, y'all ain't got the selection of rooms
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: we had. It was so much work. The comedies on
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: the punchlines, the yolda Funny Bone, those comedy clubs they
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: still there, but they just because the Black comics that
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: they're still open. Yeah, it had not been for the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Black comics and you guys and the new New Jack's
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: coming up, those clubs would have been closed along absolutely
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: to reopen because we don't have been because you got
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: a chuckle Bucks can't fill a house. He just came
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: and he's never going to be able to the black collar.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: The black dollar has been strong in the white comedy clubs.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: That's why they have black Yeah, they give us the
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: weekend and they do like the Monday night and then
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Wednesday they cut theirs off and then can you come Thursday.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: Every every white club in this country had what I
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: call Nick Night and then got two headliners. They got
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: a white headliner for the eight o'clock show, and they
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: are black one for the Here's a bit of history.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: The very first African American comedy night in the history
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: of comedy was three d W BLX in Mobile, Alabama.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: I went there to nine three BLX, met a guy
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: named J. B. Bridge Is, a dude named Skip, cheating,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: dude named Being Gordon, and a dude named d J.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Grigg Street who I used to call. They all work
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: at one radio station. They met me, they said, man,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: come on the radio. I convinced the club to do
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: a ninety three BLX night where all the blacks could
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: come and get in for ninety three cents. That was
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: a mistake because they was a going so hard about
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: that seventh cent change that black should just pay the
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: dollar gone. But that damn seventh cent created Molehill at
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: that door. So I sold a hundred tickets that night.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: They bought me back again. I sold out two nights
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: and they bought me back again. I sold out Tuesday
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: through Sunday, and that's when Black Knights were born, and
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: that's how I started, and I started doing George Wallace.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: I told ye Anthony Brown about it, and next thing
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: you know, Black Knights and radio stations was born. That's
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: how they got started. Original story, keep that little gand
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: we started the comedy room for cent. We got all
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: the bulls from Spey Johnson because because because they don't know,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: I'm the last life. You know what I'm saying, generation
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: I remember the sense sign. You feel what I'm saying,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: like I remember they don't teach. Now for him to
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: say that they paid knight at three cents, I was like,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: hell and all the time you sign no more. That's
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: that's real. The sent sign is gone. The eat you
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: don't know nob no sense. Ladies and gentlemen, you have
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: been listening to the young lines of comedy. Give it
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: up fun? Yeah, doc, cheat, you're listening morning show. Okay, Steve.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: Did you guys see when the protesters happened Department of
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: Homeland Security Christian Nielsen. She had to nerve the audacity
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: to eat dinner at the Mexican rest restaurant. Yeah no,
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: you ain't got holding all these people up at the
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: border and separating kids from their pats. She decided, you
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: want to make them, Yeah, that's what happened. Nielsen was
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: targeted by protesters. They were angry, of course, over the
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Trump's administration border policy that separated children from their families
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: along the US and Mexican border. One of the protesters
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: said to Nielsen, children don't get to eat in peace,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: and you don't get to eat in peace. Take to
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: listen to them yelling and chanting. Shame, same s same
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: like that. Man, I'm trying to tell you your aunts
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: cannot shame. I'm trying to chew. But see, man, let
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: me tell you what happened here. What really happened here
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: was it backfired on the Trump administration because Kelly Sessions,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: all of them all, this is what we'll do when
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: they come to the border, will separate the families. That'll
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: discourage everyone else for coming. Because once you see that
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: you could be separated from your child, that's gonna discourage
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: others from coming. It was employed to discourage border crossings
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: at all levels. So when we catch you, we're gonna
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: separate you. Now, that's supposed to be a deterrent. What
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: backfired was even the Republicans knew once they started acting
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: it out, this is a horrible mistake. But then since
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: they made the mistake, they asked try to actually hold
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: on to it. And the reason this lady is getting
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: heckled is because of the things she said about it,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: and they kept trying to make it it was a
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: democratic law in all of this, and they tried to
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: make it into that, and that's that's not what it is.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: You all have enacted the policy, and then you said
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Congress has to change the law. And then when Milania
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: and his daughter went off about it, he had to
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: change it. That's the bad room pressure, folks. That's when
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: the person you sleep with is in your ass. No,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: and she down in the hall the restaurant, like you said,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: she find down that hall though too soon. You can't
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: get anybody else up in there. No Trump, you got
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: to hear that kind of stuff. But being able to
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: see the images of what they were doing and flipped
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: it on Trump real big time. Man, It really did,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: because you know he had no idea this was going
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: to happen. That audio, the kids crying. Yeah, did you
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: gotta see cover of Time magazine They got a little
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: bit of dressed in red and Trump standing over her
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: and the caption is welcome to America. But don lemmer Man,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: he kept running it and running it and running it.
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: Stop change everymaginative, man, it really did. Yeah, so, like
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I was saying, Nielsen, the Homeland Security deputy, she had
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: to eventually leave the restaurant, and then, uh, you know,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: the President told her good job because he had to reverse,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: like you said, Steve, the zero tolerance policy that she
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: had defended, and she vowed that the administration would never
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: apologize for that. So and you have to because it's idiotic. Yeah,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: it doesn't make any sense. You know, you can sit there.
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: It's a mistake. The problem with this White House that
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: they never think and they never say they made a mistake.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: They just don't apologize for it. All right, y'all listen. Uh,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: we'll be back with more right after this. You're listening. Well,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: today I thought I would take this approach and just
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: offer to everybody a um, a viewpoint that I take
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: in life that has helped me tremendously. Uh. You know,
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: you can feel how you want to feel about the
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: law of attraction. In the book The Secret. A lot
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: of people don't like the book The Secrets say because
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: it stole all of its stuff from the Bible. That's
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: exactly true. You're you're exactly correct. Everything that's of positive,
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: everything about moving your life forward. It's in the Bible. Now,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. I don't know the
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: Bible that well, I really don't. I went to Sunday
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: school every Sunday. My mama was a Sunday school teacher
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: for forty years. But I was playing football. I was
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: trading baseball cars and buying bubble gum with my church money.
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: I was doing what other little kids did. I probably
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: missed a lot of great lessons down there, but I
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: picked up on a few of them too, and a
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: few of them are picked up on have been very,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: very valuable in my life. The law of attraction is real.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Whether you believe in it or or or are aware
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: of it does not stop it from being in existence.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: The law of attraction is real. What you put out
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: is what comes back to you. If you put out
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: negativity all day, a lot of negative things gonna happen
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: to you. If you put out positive, a lot of
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: positive things gonna come to you. Now that's not to
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: say nothing negative will ever come your way, but you're
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: compounding it by putting out negativity. That's the law of attraction.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: So what I'm gonna offer you today is a way
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: to look at life. And I'm gonna give you this
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: right here. Have you ever tried this? Live your life
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: in expectation, Live your life in expectation. But when I
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: say that, I'm talking about now you can make the
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: decision to do it either way, folks. You can live
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: your life in the expectation of something negative happening, or
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: you can reverse it and live your life with the
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: expectation of something positive happening. I choose to live my
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: life with the expectation that something possi it can happen
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: to me. That's how I wake up. I woke up
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: this morning thanking him already for a great day that
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: he had allowed me to see another one off. And
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: I expect great things to happen to me today. Now.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: Once again, that's not to say something bad ain't gonna happen,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: because this is life, but I'm not gonna attract it
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: to me with a bunch of negative thoughts. Oh Lord,
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: something to happen to day? Oh My days don't ever
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: go right. Seem like trouble follow me always. It just
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: seemed like I can't get a break. Oh Lord Jesus,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: it just seemed like everything I do turn out wrong.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: Do you know somebody like that? I do, and do
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: you know what day? Life is like that all the time.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: But you can reverse that because the scripture says a
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: man is as he thinking. That's a scripture. Don't know
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: where it is, but it's in there, but you can
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: find it. A man is as he thinketh So I
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: choose to think positively. I lived my life in the
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: expectation that something positive can happen. Here's a scripture that
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: I read every day. It is Ephesians three twenty. I
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: read this every day. I keep it in my iPhone.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: It's under my motivational section. I've underlined it in pink
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: Donald Jr. I show it to people all the time.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: I read it every day Ephesians three twenty. And I
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: have a life that verifies that that scripture works, because
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: I am living proof that if you honor God, that
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: He will manifest himself in your life. He would show
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: up in ways that you have no idea how He
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: would show up. Here's the scripture. It is Ephesian three twenty.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: And I declared this over my life everyday Epesians three twenty.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: I declared over my life that God will do exceedingly
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: abundantly above all that I ask or think because I
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: honor him, his blessings will chase me down and overtake me.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: I will be in the right place at the right time.
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: People will go out of their way to be good
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: to me. I am surrounded by God's favor. This is
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: my declaration. I read it every day every day. Once again,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: that don't mean nothing bad ain't gonna happen to me.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: But guess what it does mean that a whole lot
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: of good is gonna happen to me. The good all
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: sets the bad in my life by a landslide. No
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: matter what the haters try to do, say print right,
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: talk when they get through talking. Look at what God
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: has done for me simply because I choose to honor him,
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: his blessings would chase me down and overtake me. Don't
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: you want that? Wouldn't you love it if God's blessings
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: would chase you down and overtake you. You have an
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: opportunity to do that by living your life with a
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: life of expectations. Do yourself a favor. Rea Defesians three twenty.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: Get the New Testament version where you can really understand
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: what it's saying, or if you're cool enough with the
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: Old King, James version. Do that, but put that in
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: your life and see what happens to you. And y'all
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: is Friday. Have a good weekend. Happy anniversary, Stephen. Yeah,
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna go down here and trip out a little bit,
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, Yeah, there's a record for me right
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: here with you. The Hall of Fame boy YoY legend.
