- 2:55Speaker 1: Thank you. I actually have a story to tell you. Okay, great.
- 3:00Speaker 1: We met years ago. Oh my god, we met years
- 3:04Speaker 1: ago when you were Vicky h you know some you
- 3:10Speaker 1: know some apple bottom. What No, it wasn't that floor,
- 3:18Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely, but I used to when I was living
- 3:23Speaker 1: out the office space. I was living in the office
- 3:25Speaker 1: space on the floor. Yeah, you guys are on the
- 3:31Speaker 1: nineteen Absolutely absolutely, This is when I was romeless and
- 3:35Speaker 1: I went some living and living in the office space,
- 3:37Speaker 1: and every morning I would sneak in to the radio station.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And after a while you just didn't let her come in. Yes, yes, yes, yeah,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you know. And when I was hearing your name, I
- 3:49Speaker 1: could you see Apple Bottom because I know, I know,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I know I've run into her. I know, I know
- 3:54Speaker 1: I know him. Yes, I used to come in every morning,
- 3:59Speaker 1: ton who was in there? Because my parent marketing company
- 4:02Speaker 1: that I was building from ground up, I was on
- 4:04Speaker 1: the twenty six floor. I was living at the office
- 4:06Speaker 1: at hers. And I said, it's not gonna believe this.
- 4:09Speaker 1: In the one I got the information about the interview,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I said, oh, he didn't realize we go back to
- 4:15Speaker 1: two thousand and four. Absolutely absolutely, because we left in
- 4:18Speaker 1: two thousand and five, because you know when I was
- 4:20Speaker 1: when I was going through your bio and I said,
- 4:22Speaker 1: it's no way to myself. I said, there's no way
- 4:24Speaker 1: I have to have met her. I have to have
- 4:27Speaker 1: met her. And I looked at the look at your
- 4:29Speaker 1: picture when she looks so familiar. So for me, so
- 4:32Speaker 1: for you to share that story with me, I really,
- 4:34Speaker 1: really makes me feel good because you're such a talented person.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And and then reading your book and looking at the bio,
- 4:41Speaker 1: your history, you know, it's about hard work and overcoming
- 4:44Speaker 1: the arts, but more importantly not giving up. And I'm
- 4:49Speaker 1: highly recommending people to buy your book. I'm gonna putting
- 4:51Speaker 1: in my newsletter. But let's let's you know, let's let's
- 4:54Speaker 1: just talk about a little bit about the beginning, you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: from the trot. Then you went down to tallahas and
- 4:59Speaker 1: the family me HBC, you got your m b A.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Why Detroit, the family in Detroit, Detroit family. That's that's
- 5:07Speaker 1: very cold, the very hot mosquitoes. No mosquitoes. Yes, at
- 5:13Speaker 1: the time, I attended Famie starting ninety nine. But in
- 5:18Speaker 1: ven according to Times in Princeton Review, they got raided
- 5:21Speaker 1: at the College of the Year and Sam, you was
- 5:25Speaker 1: in a moment where it was just so hot, and
- 5:27Speaker 1: it's a business school, that's number one. UM. And I
- 5:32Speaker 1: had offered from like Harvard to you of them too,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I mean, for you name it, from ivy leagues, the
- 5:40Speaker 1: big state schools. And when I saw those things coming
- 5:43Speaker 1: from Family, I said, I'm going there. Yes. All I
- 5:48Speaker 1: had to do was a ten for a few days
- 5:52Speaker 1: after this visit, I loved my decision is made, well,
- 5:56Speaker 1: the best decisions I've ever made. Well, what why? Why
- 5:58Speaker 1: is that with hbc is I really try to talk
- 6:01Speaker 1: about the you know, the historical factor. I always tell people,
- 6:04Speaker 1: if we didn't have HBCUs, it really wouldn't be black
- 6:06Speaker 1: education because they wouldn't let us go to school in
- 6:09Speaker 1: the South from somebody mean racist behavior. And they were
- 6:12Speaker 1: limited through quotas does to inner schools in the northrom
- 6:15Speaker 1: to my white school. So that's that's why HBCUs were
- 6:18Speaker 1: creating and needed. So going into that, you had all
- 6:22Speaker 1: these offers from basically white colleges and then there's beautiful
- 6:25Speaker 1: black campus and tallahasar Florida, you just you just felt
- 6:28Speaker 1: a kinship you walking around seeing people look like you.
- 6:31Speaker 1: What was it? Oh, it's very empowering. I grew up
- 6:35Speaker 1: in Detroit. It was over eighty percent black girl up there.
- 6:39Speaker 1: From there, it was it was the love. It was
- 6:43Speaker 1: the accountability to this day, not professors on social media
- 6:48Speaker 1: and still roots for me to stay. I can see
- 6:51Speaker 1: them chining on the comments or safebook and that type
- 6:56Speaker 1: of rich relationship. You're just not gonna get us a
- 6:59Speaker 1: black civil onto a p W. I I highly doubt
- 7:02Speaker 1: that your profectors still even remember you, let alone that
- 7:05Speaker 1: they are invested in your future beyond those four years
- 7:08Speaker 1: that you were there. You know, they still look out
- 7:11Speaker 1: for me, they still share resource for me. I was
- 7:14Speaker 1: on the call then other day Mr School. So it's
- 7:18Speaker 1: truly family. It's truly safety. In addition to just attending
- 7:22Speaker 1: an institution, which is a priceless experience, you were not
- 7:27Speaker 1: as a black person going to have the kind of
- 7:30Speaker 1: environment with that kind of accountability and love that's going
- 7:33Speaker 1: to be poured into They want you to win because
- 7:36Speaker 1: you look like this. You are their child, you know.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So it's I encourage HBCUs for African Americans all day long.
- 7:45Speaker 1: It has been beneficial to my career and that trajectory
- 7:49Speaker 1: is my career and then all of the resources that
- 7:51Speaker 1: I've received. The family network is real, it is much so,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you know, it's really important that people understand going somewhere,
- 7:59Speaker 1: will you comfortable going somewhere where you cre relationships in
- 8:02Speaker 1: the long term, because that's one of the chapters in
- 8:04Speaker 1: your book, the relationship Principle. We're gonna get to that
- 8:06Speaker 1: chapter six, I believe, you know, because you know, you know,
- 8:10Speaker 1: And just sitting here, uh, it allowed me time here
- 8:13Speaker 1: and you speak allowed me to remember our relationship back
- 8:16Speaker 1: in two thousand and four. Kind God, do I remember.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you something, you know, the one
- 8:21Speaker 1: and I and I'm not remembering everything, and I'm kind
- 8:23Speaker 1: of I'm remembering everything a little bit here. I remember.
- 8:26Speaker 1: The thing that stood out for me was that your
- 8:29Speaker 1: energy and your smile and your professionalism. You know, I
- 8:34Speaker 1: don't so I didn't know you was homeless on the
- 8:36Speaker 1: twenty sixth floor. I didn't know that. Okay, So I
- 8:39Speaker 1: wasn't doing that. I wasn't doing in the favors because
- 8:41Speaker 1: I thought I was. I was feeling sorry for you
- 8:43Speaker 1: because I didn't know your situation. All I know is
- 8:45Speaker 1: that your game was tight and so and I and
- 8:50Speaker 1: I learned that about myself and I one of the
- 8:52Speaker 1: things bout money making conversations. I've discovered so many relationships
- 8:55Speaker 1: that I had with people I didn't know just because
- 8:58Speaker 1: I just felt that, Hey, everybody, it was a shot.
- 9:00Speaker 1: That's my personality. Everybody deserves a shot, especially people who
- 9:04Speaker 1: are working hard and and showing a consistent personality. Because
- 9:07Speaker 1: that was one thing with me. You had to be
- 9:09Speaker 1: consistent rou sean. If I tell you know and you
- 9:11Speaker 1: walk away, then you would you should not be in
- 9:13Speaker 1: my presence. But I couldn't tell you know. I could
- 9:16Speaker 1: not tell you no. It was like no, it's like
- 9:18Speaker 1: you you were like, you know, like like that matrix.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You dogs that no you dogs that let on in
- 9:23Speaker 1: let on it like she cool, she cool, she cool.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And that's really a strong driving force to why you
- 9:30Speaker 1: were successful today. Not that you're arrogant. You just understand
- 9:33Speaker 1: your confident you you believe in the values that God
- 9:37Speaker 1: has put on this earth that you shouldn't be afraid.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And I guess that that was me telling you we
- 9:42Speaker 1: met because I was a big personality on two thousand
- 9:45Speaker 1: and four, and I was a pretty big personality, and
- 9:47Speaker 1: so because Steve just called me black Cloud. So I
- 9:50Speaker 1: would tell people know, and I would tell people to
- 9:52Speaker 1: get out of my face really really quick. But you,
- 9:54Speaker 1: my friend, that was not was not happening. Talk about
- 9:59Speaker 1: that ability to would not be afraid before we get
- 10:01Speaker 1: into the book. Oh my gosh. Um, well, it's hard
- 10:07Speaker 1: of me, I would say, is in the book. It
- 10:09Speaker 1: isn't even the intro I definitely, but I believe in
- 10:15Speaker 1: tapping into that. I believe that when you move without limits,
- 10:19Speaker 1: that doors open up on your behalf. So I don't
- 10:22Speaker 1: I don't approach things from this that space. I definitely
- 10:25Speaker 1: approaching from a very fearless space. Um. And then then
- 10:29Speaker 1: our confidence just goes forth. And I said, doors just opened. Um.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't. I don't believe you should operate
- 10:36Speaker 1: from that space. You need to operate from a level
- 10:38Speaker 1: of surreness. You need to operlate, operate from a level
- 10:40Speaker 1: of confidence if you plan on for killing anything in life.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And I always oldren have those features. So it's just
- 10:48Speaker 1: up for us. You came into the world like that,
- 10:51Speaker 1: it's up for us to make sure we tap back
- 10:52Speaker 1: into that because it was nothing but the world started
- 10:55Speaker 1: projecting its way onto you when people started saying different
- 10:58Speaker 1: things to you. But who you are before you are
- 11:01Speaker 1: confident you are in yourself? What did you get all
- 11:06Speaker 1: the forest from the trees and all that? That's a
- 11:11Speaker 1: beautiful statement. You know. Your book has seven chapters that
- 11:14Speaker 1: believe principle, the thought principle, the speech principle, the principle
- 11:18Speaker 1: of sewing, sewing, and the action principle. The relationship principle,
- 11:24Speaker 1: the principle of stewardship. I was a quote in the
- 11:27Speaker 1: book that I pulled out that really stood out to
- 11:30Speaker 1: me and said, if I believe something was going to
- 11:32Speaker 1: happen for me, that's as you're talking. I refused to
- 11:35Speaker 1: entertain any thoughts that will counter what I believe. Oh
- 11:43Speaker 1: that was you meeting me. That was that when we met.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You know before the book, you were on the twenty
- 11:51Speaker 1: sixth floor. I didn't know that homeless, but you had
- 11:55Speaker 1: a vision. But that didn't stop you. In other words, see,
- 11:58Speaker 1: a lot of people allow other things to stop them. Excuse.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I call him excuses because we don't all wake up
- 12:03Speaker 1: the same every day. We don't wake up with good days.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Something I wake up, I don't even want to get
- 12:07Speaker 1: out of bed, but I still get out of bed.
- 12:09Speaker 1: That doesn't mean I'm gonna have an unsuccessful day. And
- 12:11Speaker 1: that's what that that you're saying right there. If I believe,
- 12:14Speaker 1: if I'm want a mission to be successful, why should
- 12:17Speaker 1: I suddenly stop myself from being successful? That's a that's
- 12:20Speaker 1: an amazing thought. Where did that come from? Parents? Where? Well? Sam? You?
- 12:28Speaker 1: What did that? What did that thought process developed? Fifteen
- 12:31Speaker 1: eighteen win. Okay, this I honestly can't probably pain for
- 12:36Speaker 1: at the time I am. I can't. So I am
- 12:40Speaker 1: a woman of strong faith, but I don't know when
- 12:42Speaker 1: I started. I don't know that. I think my parents
- 12:49Speaker 1: probably allowed me to be and adventurous. Um, I know
- 12:57Speaker 1: I do. And book I tell the third about like
- 12:59Speaker 1: how my mother took me on to the parking lot
- 13:01Speaker 1: to get my first car. And she was in a
- 13:04Speaker 1: used car section and I told her that's not what
- 13:06Speaker 1: I wanted, and what did you want? And I pointed
- 13:10Speaker 1: open to the car that was on the show rong
- 13:13Speaker 1: floor and it was spinning farther on it and the
- 13:19Speaker 1: and the red color and the two doors and the
- 13:21Speaker 1: rens and she listened. She said, well you could have it,
- 13:24Speaker 1: and I got excited and then she paused, because you're
- 13:27Speaker 1: gonna pay for it, And I was like, ill came
- 13:30Speaker 1: rides to the occasion. Well, I was always taught that
- 13:35Speaker 1: everything was possible and was in my reach. Well that
- 13:39Speaker 1: that was foremost. Now how you got there, you just
- 13:42Speaker 1: had to fingure it out. But that I was on
- 13:45Speaker 1: that that's awesome because you know, because of the fact
- 13:49Speaker 1: that that's what I'm saying is that we have a
- 13:51Speaker 1: lot of similar characterists. I remember the first car I
- 13:54Speaker 1: got was a used car boy the first car in
- 13:57Speaker 1: high school to beat up Pinto forth Pento. And I
- 14:01Speaker 1: told myself, I said, I said I would never drive
- 14:04Speaker 1: a car with more than fifteen miles on it. Again,
- 14:09Speaker 1: I said that to myself. I just knew and that
- 14:13Speaker 1: was just my da. I always tell people certain ways.
- 14:15Speaker 1: You said, goals in life, you know, so I didn't.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I wasn't telling anybody I was gonna buy a new car.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But you know, if you have a car with fifteen
- 14:22Speaker 1: miles or less on it, that's a new car. And
- 14:25Speaker 1: so that's a standard that you set for yourself. You said,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I don't want that. Why can't I get that? And
- 14:31Speaker 1: how can I get that? And that's goal setting, but
- 14:35Speaker 1: without but with natural instincts tied to it by having
- 14:38Speaker 1: the standard you set, but not going to a school
- 14:41Speaker 1: and somebody telling you, here's your vision board. So you're
- 14:44Speaker 1: you're walking talking vision vision board. M small, that's what
- 14:48Speaker 1: you are. Anybody tell you that, anybody tell you that, No,
- 14:54Speaker 1: I think you will. You read this book. You read
- 14:57Speaker 1: this book. You're walking talking vision board. Because I'm telling
- 15:00Speaker 1: you something I kept we're looking at I kept reading
- 15:02Speaker 1: this book. We're gonna go to break because I want
- 15:04Speaker 1: to talk about something because you hit. I'm talking about
- 15:07Speaker 1: if you if I if I found a young lady
- 15:09Speaker 1: who was a younger version, but a female version of
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'm talking to her right now. It's finally here, the
- 15:19Speaker 1: season of celebration, and no matter how you celebrate with

- 17:14Speaker 1: dot ai. You know. Here's the thing our belief influence
- 17:18Speaker 1: is that our belief influence our behavior. We are born bold.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I always talking. I always tell people that That's why
- 17:26Speaker 1: I can't understand people who treat kids terrible, you know,
- 17:30Speaker 1: abused kids, because kids just just they just want information.
- 17:33Speaker 1: They just want to whatever you give them. You tell
- 17:36Speaker 1: them to go left, they go left, you tell them
- 17:37Speaker 1: go right, there, go right. So they just they just
- 17:39Speaker 1: an energy just waiting. They just just absorb stuff. And
- 17:43Speaker 1: that statement right there, we are born bold? But what
- 17:47Speaker 1: what pushes off to what pushes us off? The railroad track? Though?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Mrm all? What what tell me? People and thought? People
- 17:56Speaker 1: and thought? You've allowed somebody to project their way. You're
- 18:00Speaker 1: thankful you. I totally agree. I always tell people, is
- 18:07Speaker 1: that there's people around you, people who loved you or
- 18:10Speaker 1: say they love you. Stop can stop your dream. It
- 18:12Speaker 1: can be your boyfriend, your husband, your partner, your kids,
- 18:17Speaker 1: your minister, your daddy, your mom. All these people can
- 18:20Speaker 1: stop you with bad thoughts. And I always telling you,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and she talks about this in the book don't talk
- 18:25Speaker 1: to nobody. Don't know about that. They can't understand the
- 18:28Speaker 1: capabilities of your dream. In other words, if you're trying
- 18:31Speaker 1: to be a doctor. Don't talk to a mechanic. He
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't know nothing about that. You're trying to be a lawyer,
- 18:36Speaker 1: don't talk to somebody over there, they don't know nothing.
- 18:38Speaker 1: By lawyer, you can't do that. And so that's why
- 18:42Speaker 1: I love this book because of the fact that she
- 18:44Speaker 1: breaks it down in the natural world. When I say
- 18:47Speaker 1: a natural world means that we all go through life
- 18:50Speaker 1: wondering if we can be great, and your book tells
- 18:54Speaker 1: us we can be great, but also points out with
- 18:57Speaker 1: stopping up from being great. Now, how long did it
- 18:59Speaker 1: take you to write this book? Because this book is
- 19:02Speaker 1: on fire than it just came out the presses because
- 19:05Speaker 1: you're talking about COVID ninteen in't here. That's how that's
- 19:08Speaker 1: our current this book is. I couldn't believe I was talking.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I've reading her book and she's talked about COVID ninteen. Yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 1: it has been updated. Um, I's say about eight months
- 19:21Speaker 1: for that one. And honestly that's because I wasn't more
- 19:24Speaker 1: of the final edit. I didn't know. I didn't even
- 19:27Speaker 1: know that my book would be releasing during a period
- 19:32Speaker 1: where people would be having a global economic impact on
- 19:35Speaker 1: their finances. Come on now. I had no clue, so
- 19:38Speaker 1: of course, yeah, we went back and updated something. But yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 1: I am I am plan on that at all. I'm
- 19:44Speaker 1: gonna reading this book. She isn't morth of junish. I'm
- 19:47Speaker 1: reading a book about COVID ninteen. That's a that's our relevant,
- 19:51Speaker 1: this young lady is, that's how that's our own point.
- 19:54Speaker 1: She is with our conversations about getting this active. And
- 19:57Speaker 1: we're not talking about a book that God released last year.
- 20:00Speaker 1: We're talking about on the money right now now. Now,
- 20:04Speaker 1: as a speaker, what motivates you? What is the goals
- 20:08Speaker 1: when you go on stage or people ask you to speak?
- 20:12Speaker 1: What's the purpose of you speaking to people? What? What?
- 20:16Speaker 1: What are you trying to emote or trying to get
- 20:20Speaker 1: them to understand when you're speaking understood? First of all,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I'm definitely a service that I take the stage. And two,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and what I mean by that is people are only
- 20:29Speaker 1: going to remember the speech that applies to them. They
- 20:32Speaker 1: could care less about what you're saying about your life
- 20:34Speaker 1: is not applicable to what they're going through, what they're
- 20:37Speaker 1: dealing with, And to my message is always a fearless
- 20:42Speaker 1: methods when you remove those fears from your mind. Because
- 20:45Speaker 1: the ways of mind is designed, it can shift towards
- 20:48Speaker 1: the negative bias kind of quickly when you don't put
- 20:51Speaker 1: in the work because we beings who were created to
- 20:54Speaker 1: be mindful for survival reasons if danger was coming. But
- 20:58Speaker 1: we're not in though and the fields right now. We're
- 21:00Speaker 1: not running from lions, we're not around and am over
- 21:04Speaker 1: anything of that type of danger. So we just have
- 21:07Speaker 1: to be very conscious that we're always operating from a
- 21:10Speaker 1: place of a positive bias. So what's that being said?
- 21:15Speaker 1: You have to put in the work with these negative
- 21:18Speaker 1: things that people have put on you. You're gonna have
- 21:20Speaker 1: to pick all those things off so that I go
- 21:23Speaker 1: when I step onto a stage. Okay, and believe me,
- 21:26Speaker 1: you're fearless. Now, ra Sean made a statement. That's ra Sean,
- 21:29Speaker 1: that's I'm talking about myself, third person. Okay. I made
- 21:32Speaker 1: a statement that if I had to see somebody that
- 21:35Speaker 1: was a younger version of me, but it was a female,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm talking to her right now, arian someone. Okay, Well,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you said every Sean. Well, in her book she talks
- 21:44Speaker 1: about this, uh, this conference that she was thrown and
- 21:49Speaker 1: it hit her with a budget. There was like almost
- 21:52Speaker 1: a half million dollars. Okay, when the guy came in
- 21:54Speaker 1: and this is what it's gonna cost, and she had
- 21:58Speaker 1: never done this before. That remind to me when I
- 22:00Speaker 1: threw my through My first neighborhood awards was HOODI Awards
- 22:03Speaker 1: in l A. I had never done that before, avering
- 22:08Speaker 1: and I had a budget and I pulled it off.
- 22:11Speaker 1: That's one story right there. Then she gets into the
- 22:13Speaker 1: book and she talks about her favorite story to shopping
- 22:17Speaker 1: is Ze Gallery. You want to know, Mrs Simone, one
- 22:24Speaker 1: of my favorite stories to shopping is z Gallery. Then
- 22:31Speaker 1: she goes, Then she goes right here, Where did she
- 22:34Speaker 1: go to church in Los Angeles? At West Angeles Church
- 22:39Speaker 1: of Garden Christ. What do you think ras Sean went
- 22:43Speaker 1: in Los Angeles? Bishop Blake. Then Rashan McDonald doesn't accept
- 22:52Speaker 1: no for an answer, because I would walk. In a book,
- 22:56Speaker 1: she talks about walking and being being, being, being a confident.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I would walk in places. Of course, you know, always
- 23:03Speaker 1: had a tailor suit over, so that helped a little bit.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I would walk in venues, wouldn't pay. I just look
- 23:08Speaker 1: at people and you walk on by, like I supposed
- 23:11Speaker 1: to be. I'm supposed to be in the venue. She
- 23:13Speaker 1: talks about this in the book presenting yourself as a success,
- 23:17Speaker 1: presenting yourself like you belong, presenting yourself so people can
- 23:21Speaker 1: treat you like a king or a queen that you
- 23:24Speaker 1: are that is, that is me mrmone if we have
- 23:34Speaker 1: medicines two thousand four. So so when I see it,
- 23:41Speaker 1: when I read about the Fearless fun, now I go, okay,
- 23:48Speaker 1: it's everything is natural for me. Now everything makes sense
- 23:52Speaker 1: to me why I'm interviewing you on this show today,
- 23:56Speaker 1: because you have a quality within you that truly is
- 24:00Speaker 1: hear list. I've never used the word fearless. I always
- 24:02Speaker 1: tell people that, you know, I wake up. I wake
- 24:05Speaker 1: up to get up. I go to sleep to get up.
- 24:07Speaker 1: That's my goal. I wake up because when I wake up,
- 24:10Speaker 1: I have a plan. Every time I wake up, I
- 24:12Speaker 1: don't go to sleep. I was telling the reason why
- 24:14Speaker 1: of people find it difficult to get out of bed.
- 24:16Speaker 1: They have no reason to get up. They never set
- 24:18Speaker 1: a goal to get up. They ever said I'm gonna
- 24:20Speaker 1: do this when I'm gonna get up. They just what
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. I know what I'm gonna do when
- 24:25Speaker 1: I get up. I may not want to get up
- 24:27Speaker 1: but I know I have some stuff to do. That's
- 24:29Speaker 1: why I get on up out that bed. And that's
- 24:31Speaker 1: your personality upside down, Ryn, flip over top everything three sixty.
- 24:37Speaker 1: That's you. Thank you, thank you so much. And you
- 24:43Speaker 1: have this beautiful book, you know, and you know when
- 24:47Speaker 1: you know, when you when you go through the chapters,
- 24:49Speaker 1: you know, the bleief principle of mind is the terrible
- 24:52Speaker 1: thing to waste. The thought principle, when you you know
- 24:54Speaker 1: you believe in something, it will happen, which is which
- 24:57Speaker 1: is That's how I think, and everybody should think. The
- 25:00Speaker 1: speech principle, if you say it, you expect it to happen.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Focused on that happening, all these different things that you
- 25:06Speaker 1: talked about, you know, the the action principle. You know.
- 25:10Speaker 1: It's just really really a special book. And you know
- 25:14Speaker 1: when you when you did you sit down and discuss
- 25:16Speaker 1: with individuals different chapters or you just just just just
- 25:20Speaker 1: put it all out there and sat down with an
- 25:22Speaker 1: editor and said, this is my vision and I want
- 25:24Speaker 1: to get it. Tell us of thoughts behind getting this
- 25:27Speaker 1: book out to the press. Oh my gosh, like I said,
- 25:32Speaker 1: what you said, did I start you down? No? Because
- 25:38Speaker 1: it looks different it looks. It took on a whole
- 25:41Speaker 1: new meetings during happening in the world right now. I
- 25:45Speaker 1: first set out to do this, the book was gonna
- 25:47Speaker 1: be releasing at the Sucessible and that book store, like
- 25:51Speaker 1: everything was different right now, I thought the process of
- 25:56Speaker 1: I knew it was needed because the book is got
- 25:59Speaker 1: upon one premier that people have more fear and going
- 26:01Speaker 1: broke than they do faith and having abundange. And the
- 26:04Speaker 1: reality is that both of those things are unseen. Fear
- 26:07Speaker 1: is unseen and faith is unseen. You choose to adopt
- 26:10Speaker 1: which one you want to follow. So I knew I
- 26:13Speaker 1: wanted to book out for that one reason, just in itself.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I had no idea that the world would turn into
- 26:20Speaker 1: all of what everything happened in the course of twenty
- 26:24Speaker 1: So it took on a whole another meaning as far
- 26:27Speaker 1: as just like you're saying, getting it out into the world,
- 26:29Speaker 1: getting out to the press, of making sure um it
- 26:33Speaker 1: lives in this space. It's more timely now than I
- 26:36Speaker 1: had ever even imagined when I said out to do this, Oh,
- 26:38Speaker 1: most definitely. And I forgot this one other thing that
- 26:41Speaker 1: made me in you very similar a quote that your
- 26:45Speaker 1: mom told you. Mom said value of giving from a
- 26:49Speaker 1: pure place. She said that to you. And I have
- 26:53Speaker 1: a good friend of mine she uh Whinny we call
- 26:56Speaker 1: Robinson and um very famous actress and she has his
- 27:04Speaker 1: dance studio Actors Studio in Los Angeles. And I would
- 27:09Speaker 1: always I would care how hard I was, because everybody,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you know entertainment, you have peaks and valleys. You know,
- 27:15Speaker 1: if I had a value, I still send my checks
- 27:18Speaker 1: to her. I had to send my check to it
- 27:20Speaker 1: had because I made a commitment. That's that pure space
- 27:22Speaker 1: when there's no agenda, when you when you're doing something
- 27:26Speaker 1: and you don't realize you're changing people's lives, but somehow
- 27:29Speaker 1: it's been put upon you. And that's the pure space
- 27:32Speaker 1: your mom was talking about. The pure place then your
- 27:34Speaker 1: heart just like giving it but not expecting nothing anything back.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That's a balance that your mom instilled in you. And
- 27:42Speaker 1: like I said, reading your book, I don't I hope,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I hope our mom really communicating the value of listening
- 27:49Speaker 1: to a younger version of my reason. I'm excited because
- 27:53Speaker 1: through my whole life, my only goal is to make
- 27:55Speaker 1: sure people I meet people on and I'm gonna saying
- 27:58Speaker 1: that impacted you. You was impacted a lot of more
- 28:00Speaker 1: people than me, but you know I I met you
- 28:03Speaker 1: and to see the person you're becoming in the lives
- 28:06Speaker 1: that you are affecting on a daily basis. Thank you,
- 28:10Speaker 1: Mr Moon, thank you, thank you, thank you so much. Yes,
- 28:15Speaker 1: you did have a great impact on me because you
- 28:18Speaker 1: believed in the girl who was trying to sneak into
- 28:21Speaker 1: the rating. Thank you. You know you know the thing
- 28:27Speaker 1: about this book and The Fearless Fun. Let's talk about
- 28:29Speaker 1: that a little bit because because we've got a few minutes,
- 28:31Speaker 1: about three minutes left, I don't want to you know,
- 28:33Speaker 1: this is great book. I definitely want to banner so
- 28:35Speaker 1: I can put it in my news letter, put it
- 28:37Speaker 1: on my personal social media. I got, like, I'm about
- 28:39Speaker 1: eight hundred thousand Facebook followers, so I definitely want to
- 28:42Speaker 1: tell them about you and buy another two hundred thousand.
- 28:44Speaker 1: All my money making coverts facing platform. But tell us
- 28:47Speaker 1: about The Fearless Fun and why was it created first?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Thank you for just the additional support and exposure. I
- 28:54Speaker 1: am just extremely grateful. Well, I'm talking to a PR
- 28:58Speaker 1: and marketing specialists now, so you know you know what
- 29:01Speaker 1: I'm saying. You're the queen and I guess well it
- 29:06Speaker 1: guess what I am. I'm marketing specialist. I'm telling you.
- 29:10Speaker 1: That's all tell you. That's all I've telling you. I'm
- 29:11Speaker 1: telling you MS Moran telling your girl, we don't fire you.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Keep talking, keep talking, keep talking. Yeah, this is the moment.
- 29:19Speaker 1: But yes, the Fearless Fund was set out the song
- 29:22Speaker 1: problem and that was increased to the venture funds that
- 29:26Speaker 1: black women were receiving UM currently right now, black women
- 29:30Speaker 1: received point zero zero zero six percent adventure funds and
- 29:34Speaker 1: hundreds of not millions, but billions get invested in that
- 29:38Speaker 1: stage US and women eight percent currently right now adventure funds.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So we set out to do this to solve a
- 29:47Speaker 1: problem where the Fearless Fund is the lock him in
- 29:49Speaker 1: Dour Fund, and we are investing in women of color
- 29:53Speaker 1: businesses at early stage, which is pre CD seed in
- 29:56Speaker 1: series A. UM. We are industry at NAZIS, which means
- 30:00Speaker 1: we can do any industry, but we're doing a focus
- 30:03Speaker 1: on consumer products, UM tech, beauty. Certain industries were definitely
- 30:08Speaker 1: homed in on and we understand that there was a
- 30:12Speaker 1: lack of diverse investments because there was a lack of
- 30:15Speaker 1: diverse investors. So a lot of the people who were
- 30:18Speaker 1: playing the state didn't look like us. It's an eight
- 30:20Speaker 1: percent white male industry as far as the investors are concerned.
- 30:24Speaker 1: So in order to change the dynamically, we had to
- 30:26Speaker 1: be on the other side of the table. It is myself,
- 30:30Speaker 1: my close girlfriend kashing Night William, my close Girlfriendaporitans, and
- 30:35Speaker 1: we set out. We're all a SBCU grabs Ayana family
- 30:38Speaker 1: as well Ketches Fellman, and we set out to make history. Now,
- 30:43Speaker 1: we did not know who we're gonna be. The first
- 30:45Speaker 1: fund that is built by women of colors toward women
- 30:47Speaker 1: of color. We found out after the fact we are
- 30:50Speaker 1: sec regulated, had to go through much of paper work
- 30:53Speaker 1: with the government and we found that out later. But
- 30:57Speaker 1: we are very much so excited. We get thousands of applications.
- 31:00Speaker 1: We're looking to just grow the fund and grow the
- 31:02Speaker 1: fund so that we can make a financial impact in
- 31:05Speaker 1: our community. Well you are you making an impact of i'mnnaelling.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I do a lot done over five interviews MS Simone,
- 31:13Speaker 1: and to meet a person like you, younger than me
- 31:17Speaker 1: and and just just just crazy, it's crazy good. You're
- 31:21Speaker 1: just a crazy good person. You know what I'm saying.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I can say it like that it's you know, you're
- 31:27Speaker 1: a crazy good person because of the fact that I
- 31:30Speaker 1: sit around and I wake up some days and I
- 31:33Speaker 1: just don't I planned stuff and and I don't know
- 31:38Speaker 1: sometimes the decision that I'm making, I just know I
- 31:41Speaker 1: gotta make that decision right now. And that's your thought process,
- 31:44Speaker 1: and it's it's it's it's so much. I want you
- 31:46Speaker 1: to make sure. Make make sure you understand you have
- 31:49Speaker 1: a fan of RuSHA McDonald. Anything you want to promote
- 31:52Speaker 1: come to me. You have to be on my shows
- 31:54Speaker 1: that Rashan, could you put the flyer from me? I
- 31:56Speaker 1: would do that because you represent positivity. Thank you, Thank you.
- 32:04Speaker 1: You represent positivity. And when you know right now, I'm
- 32:06Speaker 1: not meeting anybody right now until it's a pandemic calmed
- 32:09Speaker 1: down a little bit. But when it calmed down a
- 32:11Speaker 1: little bit more, what we can like to sit across
- 32:12Speaker 1: from each other. I want to sit down and talk
- 32:14Speaker 1: to you. We might have a mask on talking to
- 32:16Speaker 1: each other, but we're gonna be all good. But I
- 32:21Speaker 1: want to thank you for coming on my show. Please
- 32:22Speaker 1: get that banner to me so I could promote your
- 32:24Speaker 1: book on my social media and my news letter. But
- 32:26Speaker 1: more importantly, I can't tell you don't change because you're
- 32:29Speaker 1: not gonna change. You're fearless. I appreciate thank you for
