- 1:24Speaker 1: My next guest is uh, he's He's all. I would
- 1:27Speaker 1: call him money because he's been working for twenty years
- 1:29Speaker 1: and he's been doing shows I watch now you know,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm tell you, I'm surprised he ain't pop up on
- 1:34Speaker 1: Game with Towels. My next guest is an actor and musicians.
- 1:39Speaker 1: His career spans over twenty years, encompassing television, film, and
- 1:43Speaker 1: voiceover work on video games. You've seen him with some
- 1:46Speaker 1: of my favorite shows, The Wire, Lost, Fringe, and Oz
- 1:52Speaker 1: with OZ Came out of the Blue. Oars changed the
- 1:54Speaker 1: whole game. But the OZ people and the Wire people
- 1:57Speaker 1: just saying people, let y'all know that. So that's how
- 1:59Speaker 1: that's how fascinating I am about the hold behind the scene,
- 2:02Speaker 1: the production and the writers. Now he's on the show
- 2:04Speaker 1: the Day to talk about his incredible diverse career and
- 2:07Speaker 1: promoting the third installment of the John Wicks movie series,
- 2:11Speaker 1: John Wick, as Canto reeves, you watch those movies, you
- 2:15Speaker 1: get tired, you get tired. They just be whooping it up.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And so I've never seen him fight though ever, We're
- 2:21Speaker 1: gonna ask somebody, he'd be sitting behind that death smooth talking.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I yet to see him. Nobody, nobody, nobody. He's appeared
- 2:29Speaker 1: in all three John Wicks movie Please working with the
- 2:32Speaker 1: money making conversation Lance Reddick, Hey, it's gonna be thanks,
- 2:38Speaker 1: uh so when you're gonna but Lance, come on, now
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know when well, honestly, I don't know that. I'm
- 2:47Speaker 1: at liberty to say, yeah, that's a sparler, sparer. That's that's.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's all I could say about that, because because the
- 2:55Speaker 1: next movie, man, because I've been you know, my John
- 2:58Speaker 1: Wicks from Jump, you know, and I thought the I
- 3:00Speaker 1: thought the action was the common he's my boy, and
- 3:04Speaker 1: he I was like looking at the commas man, he
- 3:06Speaker 1: was in shape. Do you do you attend any of
- 3:09Speaker 1: the trainee sessions and watching these guys work out, because
- 3:12Speaker 1: they got to prepare at least several months of weeks
- 3:16Speaker 1: before they even started engaging in these into the taping
- 3:19Speaker 1: a shooting of the film. Correct, all the major all
- 3:23Speaker 1: the major villains, all the you know, all all the
- 3:26Speaker 1: people who have the big, big fight scenes with the
- 3:28Speaker 1: with Kenado. Yeah, they had the trip for months. I know. Uh. Um,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I haven't example online, I haven't you know, I haven't
- 3:36Speaker 1: been to any of the training sessions, um personally, but
- 3:40Speaker 1: I know hally like from xample for john Wick three,
- 3:42Speaker 1: Halle Berry had to train for months. To um, I
- 3:45Speaker 1: feel like it's okay to say because she said it.
- 3:47Speaker 1: She said it and introduced absolutely Brooke three ribs at
- 3:50Speaker 1: one point. Yeah, because you know, I watched it behind
- 3:52Speaker 1: the scenes, you know, behind they they're doing HBO. Uh yeah,
- 3:56Speaker 1: so I watched it because she's she's rolling with some dogs, Alex.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's really I mean, I was shocked, you said, brother,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you're just john Wick. John Wick, the third installment of
- 4:08Speaker 1: John Wick. You know, we can't be soft in this
- 4:10Speaker 1: interview with john Wick because of the fact that if
- 4:13Speaker 1: you're a fan of the series, which I'm a fan
- 4:15Speaker 1: of the series, and we're gonna talk about this, but
- 4:17Speaker 1: I was like, I want to talk about you two.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Your career is amazing. But but because you know, when
- 4:23Speaker 1: it's when I first are the Wire, you know, you've
- 4:27Speaker 1: worked with some amazing talent as you're working into and
- 4:29Speaker 1: you've been working with in this series because I was
- 4:32Speaker 1: had Franky Face one on the show about three weeks ago.
- 4:37Speaker 1: He's great. Yeah, you know, and and again that's the
- 4:40Speaker 1: type of talent that you work around. Of course, you
- 4:42Speaker 1: know interest Elbow off of the Wire, you work on
- 4:45Speaker 1: series man that people a lot of people continue to
- 4:48Speaker 1: work and I mean you see him in movies. You
- 4:51Speaker 1: see like my Girl, she's in The Man in the Wasp.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You know all this, So you you're you're your that
- 4:57Speaker 1: that lets me know that your ability as an actor,
- 5:00Speaker 1: it's always challenged and you always rise to the cage
- 5:04Speaker 1: to the occasion. Correct. Well, I've been very fortunate and
- 5:08Speaker 1: and for me, the quality of the work has always
- 5:11Speaker 1: come first. So I mean I was really when I
- 5:13Speaker 1: was in drama school, I was really pretty from from
- 5:16Speaker 1: a time because I came to acting late in life.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I mean I acted in college for fun. But I
- 5:20Speaker 1: didn't really start pursuing acting as a as a as
- 5:23Speaker 1: a vocation to tell it was twenty seven years old.
- 5:26Speaker 1: So um, and it was something that kind of stumbled
- 5:28Speaker 1: into because originally I trained as a musician. So when
- 5:32Speaker 1: I when I started acting, that really kind of um
- 5:35Speaker 1: attacked learning the craft with the kind of ferocity. Um
- 5:40Speaker 1: so um that has served me well since. And I
- 5:44Speaker 1: feel like I really got um, I got my money's
- 5:46Speaker 1: worthout a drama school. That really it was. It was
- 5:49Speaker 1: a good investment. Well you know it's interesting. So you
- 5:52Speaker 1: know you got this this great voice. So I'm sure
- 5:54Speaker 1: your friends and your buddies, you know, I'm sure the
- 5:57Speaker 1: originally that voice because you say using music, using musicians.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I know you were smooth talking Lance, I know that.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Well I have a nice singing voice, but I mean
- 6:09Speaker 1: I just never I mean I sing and I have
- 6:13Speaker 1: a nice voice, but my major was composition. I grew
- 6:15Speaker 1: up um writing songs and then studying classical piano and
- 6:19Speaker 1: classical classic composition. So I never I never really considered
- 6:23Speaker 1: myself a singer as much as a songwriter with a
- 6:26Speaker 1: nice voice. And so so now now when you made
- 6:30Speaker 1: that transition, now, did you feel that because I know
- 6:33Speaker 1: your music. Like I said, music it never leaves your soul,
- 6:36Speaker 1: your spirit. But you're you're you're predominantly known as an actor,
- 6:40Speaker 1: are you you're shaping music into your career. Well, it's
- 6:44Speaker 1: funny because I uh, well, first of all, my training,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I found my training as a musician, um really informed
- 6:53Speaker 1: how I approached my work as an actor when I started,
- 6:56Speaker 1: when I started to train the uh to learn how
- 6:59Speaker 1: to act so um, even even learning how to practice
- 7:03Speaker 1: right the piano, you know what I mean, It informed
- 7:07Speaker 1: how I approached There was a there was a kind
- 7:09Speaker 1: of an analytical and systematic way that I approached learning
- 7:12Speaker 1: the lines um and a lot of that came out
- 7:15Speaker 1: of my training as a musician. And a lot of
- 7:17Speaker 1: people understand that you have toolute challenge the truth because
- 7:20Speaker 1: I just a little background on me. I played tennis, saxophone,
- 7:24Speaker 1: alto saxophone and claring that and I know that from
- 7:29Speaker 1: a memory standpoint, when you used the word analytical. Now,
- 7:33Speaker 1: my degree in colleges and mathematics, and it was all
- 7:36Speaker 1: derived from the fact that when you play music and
- 7:38Speaker 1: you start getting to these levels and these tones, and
- 7:41Speaker 1: because you're here note you're saying, you know that that
- 7:43Speaker 1: that note is and so and when you look at
- 7:45Speaker 1: the history of music, when you go back to Mozark
- 7:47Speaker 1: and Beethoven and all this, you go, it's all really
- 7:51Speaker 1: a form of math and so and Dock was obsessed
- 7:54Speaker 1: with numbers. Wow, that's wow, that's really cool. Yeah. Times
- 8:01Speaker 1: you're supposed to be interview music, it's like, okay, this
- 8:05Speaker 1: is it. I ain't never I've never talked to nobody
- 8:07Speaker 1: like this before, because you know that thing that because
- 8:09Speaker 1: I really I try to get interviews on the show
- 8:12Speaker 1: that I try to pull out those gems because I
- 8:15Speaker 1: get a lot of people who interview my show up.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Nobody's ever asked me that question because actually, just just
- 8:20Speaker 1: just I've had a great life and I still have
- 8:23Speaker 1: living a great life lands and when I'm able to
- 8:26Speaker 1: talk to you, when you start talking about music, I'm
- 8:28Speaker 1: right in line with you, because I always always recommend
- 8:31Speaker 1: young people to uh uh, not just listen to music,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but participate in the music. Learn how to play an instrument, piano.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It's something that will allow you to get into the
- 8:42Speaker 1: thought process. Because once you get into music and you
- 8:44Speaker 1: can attest to this, it just takes you on a journey.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Am I correct? Absolutely? Are you essentially just speaking about
- 8:54Speaker 1: music specifically? I think to the point of kind of
- 8:57Speaker 1: approaching uh are trying to approach life? Uh successfully I've
- 9:03Speaker 1: put that in quotes. Um. One of the things that
- 9:06Speaker 1: I've found, uh is that, um, you never know where
- 9:12Speaker 1: following your interests uh and your passing for learning will
- 9:16Speaker 1: take you. So um who I mean even though I started,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you know, as a musician, because the other thing is
- 9:23Speaker 1: interestingly enough, you know, I was I loved math, and
- 9:27Speaker 1: I was actually the physics making my first year in
- 9:28Speaker 1: college before I transferred the music school. So so, um,
- 9:33Speaker 1: you just never know how, um, just following you know how,
- 9:38Speaker 1: even even if you don't end up following what a
- 9:42Speaker 1: particular path you don't you end up going on a
- 9:45Speaker 1: different path. What learning something from from from different disperate
- 9:49Speaker 1: paths will uh, well how they will serve you later.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And that's important for people to hear that about your
- 9:56Speaker 1: talents because like you said, you know, people get in
- 9:59Speaker 1: life they are afraid to make a change lands and
- 10:01Speaker 1: afraid that Okay, this is I've been told, this is
- 10:04Speaker 1: this is where I should take by my journey. And
- 10:06Speaker 1: you're you know, like you said physics man musician. Uh,
- 10:10Speaker 1: then a twenty seven you got into acting, none of
- 10:13Speaker 1: that was guaranteed. What what what? What was? What were
- 10:16Speaker 1: your support groups? Well, I have to tell you that
- 10:19Speaker 1: I don't normally tend to talk like this, but in
- 10:24Speaker 1: terms of kind of how and I hope this I'm
- 10:28Speaker 1: afraid this doesn't ne feily answer your question. But when
- 10:31Speaker 1: I started acting, that was how I got from there
- 10:35Speaker 1: to here. Um. I mean two years after I started acting,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I was at the year drama school and if the
- 10:41Speaker 1: only place applied. It was one of those things where
- 10:43Speaker 1: I that was the moment in my life where I
- 10:45Speaker 1: felt that I was really divinely, like something was guiding me,
- 10:48Speaker 1: like it was beyond because I was really kind of
- 10:52Speaker 1: down on my luck when I started acting. Um, I
- 10:55Speaker 1: had I was at the time, my daughter was about
- 10:57Speaker 1: a year old. I was worked in three jobs seven
- 11:01Speaker 1: days a week. Um. And I had a back Injery
- 11:05Speaker 1: that laid me up for a couple of weeks. Uh.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And when I started acting, we had actually moved in
- 11:10Speaker 1: two I was living in Boston at the time. We've
- 11:12Speaker 1: had to move in with another family because we couldn't
- 11:15Speaker 1: afford that and taking us in because we could afford
- 11:17Speaker 1: the pay I read anymore. So uh so, you know,
- 11:22Speaker 1: just just the notion. You know, it wasn't a logical
- 11:28Speaker 1: It wasn't a logical choice. I mean, I'd acted in
- 11:30Speaker 1: college for fun and I knew it was good at it,
- 11:32Speaker 1: but it was kind of like, how do I make
- 11:35Speaker 1: what I can do work for me? And I said, well,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I know I could sing it, I can act, let
- 11:39Speaker 1: me try to. I wented a couple of musical theater auditions.
- 11:42Speaker 1: They went nowhere because I was up against like real singers,
- 11:45Speaker 1: like musical theater people and gospel people. I'm like, I
- 11:48Speaker 1: just got the gout with a nice voice. And then
- 11:50Speaker 1: I started going on straight acting auditions, uh and local
- 11:53Speaker 1: not equally see it in Boston, and I just started
- 11:56Speaker 1: getting cast and getting CASTE told you to go. We've
- 12:00Speaker 1: back with more of a man, Lance and getting more
- 12:02Speaker 1: involved with the John Wick movie, plus the fact that
- 12:05Speaker 1: he got several more movies come out here with the
- 12:07Speaker 1: Domestic with Kate Boswick, Canal Street, Monster Party, Little Woods,
- 12:12Speaker 1: A Man is Hot, and I got him more money
- 12:14Speaker 1: making conversations. We'll be back more. We'll be back with more.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Lance Riddick on money making conversations. Hi, this ra Sean McDonald.
- 12:22Speaker 1: You're listening to listening to money making conversations And Uh,
- 12:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna call my good friend because see how I'm
- 12:28Speaker 1: talking to him like a friend, talking to me like
- 12:29Speaker 1: a little brother. Because when you see somebody on TV
- 12:34Speaker 1: and they're doing a body of work that's so diverse,
- 12:37Speaker 1: that there's a story behind that diversity, because you have
- 12:40Speaker 1: to reach it a lot of different places to be
- 12:42Speaker 1: able to pull these characters and to Puforll. The reason
- 12:45Speaker 1: I love to love him the most because the level
- 12:48Speaker 1: of professionalism that he exhibits for an African American character,
- 12:51Speaker 1: and that's so important and and and and our youth today,
- 12:55Speaker 1: especially when you see how it's played out in the
- 12:57Speaker 1: real world, how often times of Africa in American portrayed
- 13:01Speaker 1: in a negative light. He's on my show today. He's
- 13:03Speaker 1: back to talk about the trilogy which he's been a
- 13:05Speaker 1: part of all three of the John Wick series, which
- 13:08Speaker 1: is an exciting action adventure thriller. And this movie just
- 13:11Speaker 1: third version includes halle Berry. Now I'm laugh on now
- 13:18Speaker 1: because halle Berry is fighting this. I mean, she is
- 13:21Speaker 1: laying down. Have you been to the premiere yet of
- 13:26Speaker 1: this I've been to a screening of course, back to
- 13:30Speaker 1: the New York premiere exactly this week. So the New
- 13:33Speaker 1: premiere is on Thursday, so I'm leaving on Wednesday, and
- 13:36Speaker 1: then the l A premiere is uh a, Wednesday of
- 13:39Speaker 1: next week. Okay, cool, okay cool. So so in your screening,
- 13:43Speaker 1: what surprised you the most about halle Berry? What's the President?
- 13:48Speaker 1: When I watched the film, this thing is the President
- 13:50Speaker 1: of the most about Halliebery. Hallieberry's work was how well
- 13:54Speaker 1: she moved right. I mean, I couldn't believe what I
- 13:58Speaker 1: was saying. I mean, I would have she and maybe
- 14:01Speaker 1: she had a backround of martial arts. I don't know,
- 14:03Speaker 1: but I mean she was flipping gun food and with
- 14:07Speaker 1: the best of them. I mean, there's a there's a
- 14:09Speaker 1: there's a moment. It's a bit of a spoiler, but
- 14:11Speaker 1: I mean not really because it's it's it's in the
- 14:13Speaker 1: in the midst of a huge fight scene with she
- 14:16Speaker 1: can to take on like fifty guys. But there's a
- 14:19Speaker 1: scene where and you and it's actually part of the
- 14:21Speaker 1: it's part of the trail, one of the trailers where
- 14:24Speaker 1: she's running and there's a guy on the other side
- 14:28Speaker 1: of of a of a wagon, you know, the kind
- 14:30Speaker 1: of the kind of wagons put an and you hook
- 14:33Speaker 1: up to a horse. And she as she runs what
- 14:36Speaker 1: happen listening to be she slides underneath of it the
- 14:39Speaker 1: way somebody was slot on one leg sliding the first base,
- 14:42Speaker 1: a slide of a slide of the base. And as
- 14:44Speaker 1: she actually goes underneath, she flips out of gun and
- 14:48Speaker 1: she she's two cats. I mean, I mean, it's bad,
- 14:51Speaker 1: it's exciting. Say, well, you're thinking about it. That's why
- 14:54Speaker 1: you know you got to when you see caliberry done.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Hey man, the roads. I just saw Golden Circle, where
- 15:01Speaker 1: she played a nerdy scientist. And then of course, you
- 15:04Speaker 1: know Bond movies. You know, she's been a groundbreaker and
- 15:09Speaker 1: a groundbreaking and then so and so when I was
- 15:13Speaker 1: watching HBO, behind the scenes, they showed her, they showed
- 15:17Speaker 1: her doing her thing. You know, first of all, we're
- 15:19Speaker 1: not even going to go we're not even gonna talk
- 15:21Speaker 1: about candle reads. He's physically crazy. I don't know how
- 15:24Speaker 1: this dude does what he does. Uh, you know, he's
- 15:28Speaker 1: actually participating in these fights, says I mean the flips,
- 15:32Speaker 1: you know, I mean, it's they said that he participates
- 15:35Speaker 1: in probably about nanny eight percent of the action scenes.
- 15:39Speaker 1: When you when you get well of that stuffing it, yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 1: that's you know. That's one of the things that was
- 15:44Speaker 1: so innovative about this this franchise, the film series is
- 15:49Speaker 1: the way that it's shocked. UM because kend because the
- 15:53Speaker 1: director of Chet Dahulsky and UM and his partner man
- 15:58Speaker 1: I can't think his name, who actually directed the first
- 16:01Speaker 1: uh some with him, Um is now directed huge movies
- 16:05Speaker 1: UM that like Deadpool, Tool Too and Um UM, but
- 16:09Speaker 1: I can't I think you can't think it's uh David Um. Anyway,
- 16:14Speaker 1: they're both. They both come from the book Heavy stunt Man,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and Chad is actually uh an advanced martial artist. I
- 16:19Speaker 1: mean he's uh, he's he's the kick boxing as a gymnast.
- 16:23Speaker 1: He still teaches judo every day. And so the whole
- 16:28Speaker 1: concept for these movies was, um, to make it look
- 16:31Speaker 1: how do they make it look so real? Was the
- 16:34Speaker 1: train Canada? Like they would train a stunt man right
- 16:37Speaker 1: so so that they could take really really Rather than
- 16:40Speaker 1: having a lot of quick cuts to try to give
- 16:42Speaker 1: the impression that you're seeing the action, they do long
- 16:45Speaker 1: takes where you actually see all these long sequences where
- 16:48Speaker 1: he's doing all the flipping and all the you know,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and all these long one shots. And so that's one
- 16:53Speaker 1: of the thing that's really that's really amazing and groundbreaking
- 16:55Speaker 1: about this. At least four American action films, I mean,
- 16:58Speaker 1: they've been really uh um um turned up with this
- 17:02Speaker 1: stuff in Asia, particularly in in Korea for the left
- 17:05Speaker 1: ten years. The amazing thing about when I watched movies
- 17:07Speaker 1: like this because you're you're absolutely correct, like us, just
- 17:11Speaker 1: calming the rapper, calming the AI guy, the voice over king,
- 17:15Speaker 1: you know, executive shot on showtime, you know. And I've
- 17:21Speaker 1: been knowing him since uh I cast him on Sister
- 17:23Speaker 1: Sister and the sitcom. You know, everyone everyone acting. I'm
- 17:28Speaker 1: telling lass, I go back, I got I got a
- 17:30Speaker 1: little history, bro. You might need to know men and so.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And the thing about this is that watching him, that
- 17:37Speaker 1: the physicality of those roles, and then watching behind the
- 17:41Speaker 1: scenes with let me just be hip to everybody, what
- 17:43Speaker 1: exactly John Wick is. John Wicks is an action thriller
- 17:47Speaker 1: and John Wicker is an assassin, Okay, and he's hired
- 17:50Speaker 1: through the secret the secret organization that the hotel is
- 17:54Speaker 1: where Lance's character is the concierge. And so everybody checking
- 17:59Speaker 1: in the hotel, they know they have a violent pass.
- 18:01Speaker 1: But you know, you have this very dignified African American
- 18:04Speaker 1: man checking everybody in and their rules they're rude. He's
- 18:08Speaker 1: actually he's actually African. I made I made anyone. Yeah
- 18:13Speaker 1: and uh and he steps saying and then uh and
- 18:17Speaker 1: and so what happens there he checks in. There are rules,
- 18:19Speaker 1: you know, you can't do certain things in this hotel,
- 18:22Speaker 1: not on this problem. There are no rules outside the problem. Okay,
- 18:27Speaker 1: Cameo breaks a rule. Okay, that's how the second one ends.
- 18:31Speaker 1: He breaks a rule, and it sets the stage for
- 18:33Speaker 1: the third movie, where basically he on the run for
- 18:37Speaker 1: his life every basically every stass the The way the
- 18:41Speaker 1: last movie, the second movie ends is that he has
- 18:45Speaker 1: so one of the card the rules of the Continental,
- 18:48Speaker 1: because the Continental is the hotel is it's basically a
- 18:50Speaker 1: five star hotel that caters to the to the most
- 18:53Speaker 1: of the assassins in the world, and one of the
- 18:55Speaker 1: one of them, as you were saying, one of the
- 18:58Speaker 1: cardon perhaps the most sacred rules the hotel is, no
- 19:01Speaker 1: business is to be conducted on continent ground. I mean
- 19:04Speaker 1: you can't kill anybody on the grounds hotel, and so
- 19:07Speaker 1: at the yet at the end of the second movie,
- 19:09Speaker 1: Canny not only kill somebody, but he kills somebody like
- 19:12Speaker 1: who's Who's part of the High Table, part of the union,
- 19:15Speaker 1: prancel of this international guilt of assassins. So he needs
- 19:18Speaker 1: to ends with him on the run and he needs
- 19:21Speaker 1: for his life with a fourteen million dollar bounty on
- 19:23Speaker 1: his head. So every assassin in the world is after him.
- 19:26Speaker 1: And the third movie starts where the second movie ends. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and see, the thing about it is that you don't
- 19:30Speaker 1: know who an assassin is. It could be a homeless guy,
- 19:33Speaker 1: could be a lady pushed pregnant night, my pregnant lady.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That's right, that's that's so true. You know what I'm saying.
- 19:40Speaker 1: You don't know. Because so the second one the ends,
- 19:44Speaker 1: when that, when that, when that bounty goes out, it
- 19:46Speaker 1: just he just hear all these pages and phones ringing,
- 19:49Speaker 1: and he's running, he's running him and that dog just running.
- 19:53Speaker 1: First he started walking, he started walking, the pages go off,
- 19:57Speaker 1: phone start, he starts running, and so it's really a
- 20:01Speaker 1: compelling movie. As you can see. I'm a fan of
- 20:04Speaker 1: the series. Lance Well to your the first question you
- 20:10Speaker 1: asked me, I can't say I do step away from
- 20:12Speaker 1: the desk, Yes, sir, don't, don't, don't don't do no
- 20:15Speaker 1: smaller alert on me. I'm good because I'm gonna let
- 20:18Speaker 1: you know I'm a fan of That's why I'm happily promoting.
- 20:22Speaker 1: This is a series that does extremely well and uh,
- 20:26Speaker 1: international markets extremely well. It does good here, but it's
- 20:30Speaker 1: a huge success internationally. And that movie goes out. There's action,
- 20:35Speaker 1: but I like it because the fact that you know,
- 20:39Speaker 1: he was a guy, and this is the basis of
- 20:40Speaker 1: his character. He was pulled back into the assassin world.
- 20:45Speaker 1: He wanted to walk away, and they pulled them back in.
- 20:48Speaker 1: And that's why they pulled back in the most violent
- 20:51Speaker 1: assassin of the most successful assassin in the history of
- 20:56Speaker 1: assassin of that field. And so so everybody knows that.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Everybody knows that, and so when you're coming at him,
- 21:04Speaker 1: you're kind of coming at him, you know, with like, uh,
- 21:07Speaker 1: should I do this? But you can't passing this fourteen
- 21:10Speaker 1: million dollars now? Well, I also think there's an ego
- 21:13Speaker 1: thing a ball because it's like that, it's kind of
- 21:16Speaker 1: uh like the old threw back to the old Westerns
- 21:18Speaker 1: where if you the factor is gonna West, can I
- 21:21Speaker 1: be the guy that got that beat him? Can I
- 21:24Speaker 1: think be the guy that beat the best? Right right?
- 21:27Speaker 1: And that's the great thing that I'm on the phone
- 21:29Speaker 1: with my man A Lance Riddick. He plays the character
- 21:32Speaker 1: the hotel Concier on the movie the John Wick Series.
- 21:36Speaker 1: The movie comes out Friday, May seventee. It will be
- 21:39Speaker 1: released nationwide or man uh any any anything you want
- 21:43Speaker 1: to close in on this movie? Man, Because I'm a fan,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I want the fans to go out. I'm gonna be
- 21:48Speaker 1: posting this right nex. This movie ranks right up there
- 21:51Speaker 1: with Game of Thrones with me, so you know, so
- 21:54Speaker 1: you know, I'm a Game of Thrones fans, so I
- 21:56Speaker 1: put this right up there with it because I know
- 21:58Speaker 1: this movie like the back of my hand. It right
- 22:00Speaker 1: right up there with all these other Avengers because it's
- 22:02Speaker 1: kind of program when it comes out. So I'm telling
- 22:04Speaker 1: her about when it comes out, you're gonna see John
- 22:10Speaker 1: the Third and halle Berry's in it doing that. They
- 22:13Speaker 1: actually fighting. Kanna Reeves, he don't, he's ageless. He's been
- 22:17Speaker 1: fighting his matrix. Okay, speed right right right, right, right,
- 22:23Speaker 1: right right, back last. He's ruthless too. I think with
- 22:29Speaker 1: them damn birds, don only trust him with trust. Don't
- 22:33Speaker 1: trusting with this one. This is bad. This is bad.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's awesome movie. That's what I'll say. I appreciate you
- 22:42Speaker 1: coming on my show. I appreciate Look here, man, I'm
