- 0:00Speaker 1: What an amazing week, a massive red wave. Welcome it
- 0:05Speaker 1: is Verdict with Center, Ted Cruz, the Weekend Review, Ben
- 0:09Speaker 1: Ferguson with you, and well, you know what the big
- 0:11Speaker 1: story is. Donald Trump is the forty seventh President of
- 0:14Speaker 1: the United States of America. So let's start with this.
- 0:17Speaker 1: The silent majority made the difference in this election. The
- 0:22Speaker 1: silent majority woke up and said we are sick of
- 0:25Speaker 1: the radical extremist policies of Harris and Joe Biden. That
- 0:30Speaker 1: was the difference. Will break it down for you. Plus,
- 0:33Speaker 1: could the happiest man in America actually be Joe Biden? Well,
- 0:36Speaker 1: he was all smiles when he had his first press
- 0:39Speaker 1: conference talking and promising a smooth transition of power to
- 0:44Speaker 1: Donald Trump after they forced him out of the White House,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and finally Elon Musk all up in a Trump campaign,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and now he could be bringing some of his magic
- 0:55Speaker 1: to the White House. It's the week in Review and
- 0:58Speaker 1: it starts right now. Senator. Let's also just talk about
- 1:04Speaker 1: I think the silent majority was sick and tired of
- 1:08Speaker 1: being dictated to and yelled at and called hitler and
- 1:11Speaker 1: called garbage. I think that played into this race for
- 1:15Speaker 1: the first time a Republican has won the popular vote
- 1:18Speaker 1: in two decades, twenty plus years. If that doesn't feel
- 1:22Speaker 1: like vindication, I don't know what is. But this was
- 1:26Speaker 1: a moment where Americans stood up to the media. They
- 1:28Speaker 1: stood up to the Taylor Swifts and the Beyonces and
- 1:32Speaker 1: the George Cloonies of the world and all these radicals
- 1:36Speaker 1: in the media and said, no, no, I'm not going to
- 1:38Speaker 1: be quiet. I'm not going to be told them a racist,
- 1:40Speaker 1: are a bigot, because I set up for my traditional
- 1:42Speaker 1: values and.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You're not going to bully me anymore. This is massive.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I think you're exactly right. It turns out it is
- 1:50Speaker 2: a bad electoral strategy to insult and condescend and treat
- 1:56Speaker 2: the voters like crap. And that's what the Democrats. Look
- 1:59Speaker 2: at the last two weeks. You had Kamala Harris launch
- 2:02Speaker 2: their strategy of calling Donald Trump hitler. You then had
- 2:06Speaker 2: Joe Biden calling half of America pieces of garbage. And
- 2:10Speaker 2: you then had Mark Cuban on behalf of Kamala Harris,
- 2:13Speaker 2: her top surrogate, go out and insult women and say
- 2:17Speaker 2: there are no smart and strong women voting for Donald Trump.
- 2:20Speaker 2: That combination, look, I got to tell you, I've run
- 2:24Speaker 2: in a lot of elections. I've never found that insulting
- 2:27Speaker 2: the voters is a smart electoral strategy. And it was
- 2:31Speaker 2: a little bizarre to see the Democrats go all in
- 2:34Speaker 2: on that.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it didn't work and it was a failure. There.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Let's talk about what happens in the Senate, because I
- 2:42Speaker 1: think this goes back to how important it was with
- 2:44Speaker 1: your race and the fact that you were able to
- 2:46Speaker 1: win by such a large margin over already there was
- 2:49Speaker 1: an incredible amount of money. We didn't get talk about
- 2:51Speaker 1: this on Verdicts, as we mentioned earlier, but there was
- 2:53Speaker 1: an incredible amount of money and Chuck Schumer, you were
- 2:56Speaker 1: his number one target. They came after you. They based
- 3:00Speaker 1: kind of pulled away from this race a little bit
- 3:02Speaker 1: financially after you just wiped him during the debate. Congratulations
- 3:06Speaker 1: on that something we didn't get to talk about on
- 3:08Speaker 1: the show. But if people are boring, they're junkies like
- 3:11Speaker 1: I am, and you want to watch one hell of
- 3:12Speaker 1: a debate, go watch Center Cruise and they all read debate.
- 3:15Speaker 1: It was unbelievable and that shifted the race financially. But
- 3:19Speaker 1: the amount of money that came in from outside to
- 3:22Speaker 1: try to turn Texas into a liberal state. But at
- 3:26Speaker 1: the end of the day, Republicans are closer to flipping
- 3:29Speaker 1: New York in Texas. And that is a data point
- 3:33Speaker 1: as well that I think you got to look at.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, that's exactly right. I will say the debate.
- 3:38Speaker 2: The debate was ridiculous fun. I loved that debate. I
- 3:42Speaker 2: had a lot of fun doing it, and I think it
- 3:44Speaker 2: went well. I will look this race. Chuck Schumer was
- 3:50Speaker 2: explicit that I was his number one target in the country,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and they flooded cash into the state of Texas. This
- 3:59Speaker 2: race was the single most expensive Senate race in the
- 4:02Speaker 2: entire country. It will end up being nearly a quarter
- 4:06Speaker 2: billion dollars. Nearly two hundred and fifty million dollars will
- 4:10Speaker 2: have been spent on both sides in this race. That
- 4:15Speaker 2: ain't cheap. Schumer poured well over one hundred million into
- 4:20Speaker 2: the race. And I got to say one of my
- 4:21Speaker 2: more fun things that I enjoyed doing last night at
- 4:24Speaker 2: the election night speech, as I took the opportunity to
- 4:28Speaker 2: thank Schumer, I said, thanks, Chuck, we may have won
- 4:32Speaker 2: a couple more Senate seats tonight because you wasted so
- 4:35Speaker 2: much money in the state of Texas. So I appreciate that,
- 4:38Speaker 2: and it I got to say, I guarantee you there's
- 4:41Speaker 2: some Democrats who are second guessing that, who are questioning
- 4:45Speaker 2: did that make any sense just to pour the money
- 4:47Speaker 2: into Texas and lose the states they lost.
- 4:52Speaker 1: You talk about the Senate agenda moving forward. Obviously the
- 4:55Speaker 1: border is going to be something very quick. But there
- 4:57Speaker 1: are some new ideas that have come out of this
- 4:59Speaker 1: Trump campaign that connected with voters. A great example is
- 5:03Speaker 1: Elon Musk and Trump talking about, Hey, retired people should
- 5:06Speaker 1: be completely tax exempt. They've already paid their taxes. We
- 5:09Speaker 1: need to stop taxing Social Security benefits. Some of these
- 5:13Speaker 1: common sense things. What are the chances that some of
- 5:17Speaker 1: these ideas that connected with the American people? No taxes
- 5:20Speaker 1: on tips is another example, will turn into a reality
- 5:24Speaker 1: if we have the House and Senate or is that's
- 5:26Speaker 1: still going to be a really tough thing to get done.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Look, if we have the House, I think we'll get
- 5:31Speaker 2: it done. No taxes on Tips. I'm the author of
- 5:34Speaker 2: that legislation in the Senate. When I introduced it, it
- 5:37Speaker 2: was interesting. It's bipartisan legislation, both of the Democrat senators
- 5:42Speaker 2: from Nevada joined almost immediately. They told me twenty five
- 5:45Speaker 2: percent of the workers in Nevada are tipped workers, and
- 5:48Speaker 2: so they jumped on immediately. If we have the House,
- 5:54Speaker 2: I think it will be part of the tax cuts,
- 5:56Speaker 2: no taxes on tips. I also think we'll get it done.
- 5:59Speaker 2: No taxes on Social Security. That is a little bit
- 6:02Speaker 2: harder to do because in terms of the budgetary cost,
- 6:04Speaker 2: it's not cheap, and so the negotiations back and forth
- 6:08Speaker 2: there'll be some bumps on that. But the President is
- 6:11Speaker 2: pushing for it. I'm strongly in favor of it. I
- 6:13Speaker 2: think we'll get it done as part of the tax cuts.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Both of those are big, big important policy ideas. And listen,
- 6:20Speaker 2: in terms of the Senate, let's break down where we
- 6:22Speaker 2: stand on the Senate right now. So we went into
- 6:25Speaker 2: last night with the Democrats having a fifty one forty
- 6:28Speaker 2: nine majority. As of right now, Republicans have fifty two.
- 6:33Speaker 2: So we have three pickups that are clear. One of
- 6:36Speaker 2: them is West Virginia. We knew that was one hundred percent.
- 6:39Speaker 2: And so Jim Justice, the governor, is going to now
- 6:43Speaker 2: be the Senator. He's going to replace Joe Manchin, the
- 6:45Speaker 2: Democrats basically conceded West Virginia once Joe Manchin wasn't running.
- 6:49Speaker 2: There wasn't a Democrat alive who could win West Virginia.
- 6:51Speaker 2: They conceded that the two others that we have won
- 6:55Speaker 2: are Montana and Ohio. Montana was John Tester. Montana is
- 6:59Speaker 2: a bright red state and Tim Shee He just just
- 7:02Speaker 2: beat Tester. That's a victory we thought was quite likely
- 7:06Speaker 2: and it happened. Montana is too red a state to
- 7:11Speaker 2: be represented by a Democrat. Ohio, likewise, Sharett Brown was
- 7:16Speaker 2: beaten by Bernie Moreno last night. That's a great victory.
- 7:19Speaker 2: That was a hard fought victory. I'll tell you Shared
- 7:23Speaker 2: Brown and John Tester two the very best politicians in
- 7:26Speaker 2: the country. You don't get elected counter to the way
- 7:30Speaker 2: your state generally votes unless you're really really talented. And
- 7:35Speaker 2: you know, John Tester with a flat top haircut, Nate figures.
- 7:38Speaker 2: He seemed like a big, old fat Montana rancher that
- 7:41Speaker 2: just was a regular guy, and it got him elected
- 7:43Speaker 2: even when Trump was carrying the state and Republicans were
- 7:46Speaker 2: carrying the state in past years. SAME's true in Ohio,
- 7:49Speaker 2: where Shared Brown seemed like just a regular guy. At
- 7:53Speaker 2: the Union Hall, and there were voters in Ohio that
- 7:56Speaker 2: were voting Donald Trump shared Brown. Now both Brown and
- 8:00Speaker 2: Tester vote like communists, they vote like Chuck Schumer, but
- 8:05Speaker 2: they're very good character actors, and when they're back at
- 8:07Speaker 2: home they pretended not to. Those two victories ensure that
- 8:12Speaker 2: we have the majority in the Senate. And then on
- 8:15Speaker 2: top of that, right now we have four other possibilities.
- 8:18Speaker 2: We had one hard loss. We did not win Wisconsin.
- 8:21Speaker 2: We were leading a good chunk of the night. Eric
- 8:24Speaker 2: Hoved was narrowly leading Tammy Baldwin's Wisconsin's now been called
- 8:29Speaker 2: for the Democrats. So assuming those numbers are right, it
- 8:32Speaker 2: looks like we did not win Wisconsin in the Senate,
- 8:35Speaker 2: although Trump won Wisconsin and the presidential Right now, we
- 8:40Speaker 2: have a shot at winning Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona,
- 8:46Speaker 2: and all of those are uncalled right now. And here
- 8:50Speaker 2: are the numbers. Pennsylvania right now, Dave McCormick, the Republican
- 8:54Speaker 2: is leading forty eight point nine percent to forty eight
- 8:58Speaker 2: point five percent, so it's really really close. Michigan. Michigan
- 9:06Speaker 2: right now, the Democrat is leading forty eight point six
- 9:09Speaker 2: percent to forty eight point three percent, so we are
- 9:13Speaker 2: down by point three percent both Pennsylvania and Michigan. Ninety
- 9:17Speaker 2: seven percent of the vote is in Nevada. Nevada right now,
- 9:22Speaker 2: the Republican Sam Brown is leading forty seven point five
- 9:26Speaker 2: percent to forty seven percent. That would be a flip
- 9:32Speaker 2: if we won Nevada. Eighty eight percent of the vote
- 9:34Speaker 2: is in there. And then Arizona, Arizona. Right now, this
- 9:39Speaker 2: is probably it's the furthest distance we have to have
- 9:42Speaker 2: to climb. The Democrat is leading fifty point four percent
- 9:47Speaker 2: to forty seven point seven percent, so it's three points
- 9:51Speaker 2: that we need to pick up, almost three points. Now,
- 9:55Speaker 2: only sixty three percent of the vote is in in Arizona,
- 9:58Speaker 2: and it's a Merica Copa County. It's the suburbs of
- 10:02Speaker 2: Phoenix that are still counting. So look, it is certainly
- 10:06Speaker 2: possible that we win Arizona. Trump has won Arizona, but
- 10:09Speaker 2: three points is a bigger margin to close than the
- 10:12Speaker 2: other states. And so all four of those we're going
- 10:14Speaker 2: to wait and see.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Let's talk finally about the takeaways from the media, and
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'll go back to what I said earlier. Donald Trump
- 10:22Speaker 1: trumped them all. He trumped the Democrats, he trumped the globalists,
- 10:26Speaker 1: he trumped the deep state, he trumped the news media.
- 10:30Speaker 1: They're still having meltdowns. This morning, The View, the girls
- 10:35Speaker 1: on the View, the ladies in the View came out
- 10:37Speaker 1: wearing black like it was a funeral, mental health crisis.
- 10:41Speaker 1: MSNBC's O'donald Trash as the Founding Fathers called the electoral
- 10:45Speaker 1: College voter suppression. This morning, Joy Reid at MSNBC said,
- 10:50Speaker 1: Florid extreme right wing fascist state now officially Van Jones
- 10:56Speaker 1: came out and started playing the race card in the
- 10:58Speaker 1: gender card. Stewart had a total meltdown on his show,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and this is just what we're seeing in the moments
- 11:07Speaker 1: after a Trump victory. It's like they didn't learn their lesson.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I mean, you would think they would take away and go, okay,
- 11:15Speaker 1: what did we do wrong. They're not stopping.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You know, look, we'll see what happens. I think there
- 11:23Speaker 2: right now, there's a lot of blaming of Kamala for
- 11:26Speaker 2: being a terrible candidate. There's a lot of blaming of
- 11:28Speaker 2: Joe Biden for having been essentially unconscious for several years.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I don't see the Democrats right now taking responsibility for gosh,
- 11:43Speaker 2: we advocated an agenda that was horrible for America. You know,
- 11:48Speaker 2: there used to be Senate moderates among the Democrats. I
- 11:53Speaker 2: don't know of any Senate moderates left. The only two
- 11:57Speaker 2: arguable ones where Joe Manchin and Kirsten Cinemon. They're both
- 12:00Speaker 2: on and and so that that dynamic. You know you
- 12:04Speaker 2: you look at I would love to see some Democrats
- 12:09Speaker 2: recalibrate and say, let's move to the middle. But but
- 12:14Speaker 2: I think right now they're just emoting. They're just engaged
- 12:17Speaker 2: in a in a combination of rage and shock and disbelieve. Look,
- 12:25Speaker 2: you know you and I talked about Mark Halprin, he
- 12:28Speaker 2: used to be the head of political news at ABC,
- 12:30Speaker 2: did an interview with Tucker Carlson where Halprin said that
- 12:33Speaker 2: he thought there would be real mental health crises and
- 12:38Speaker 2: and violence from the left if Trump won. That that
- 12:41Speaker 2: he was laying out the case that that those of
- 12:45Speaker 2: us not afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome do not understand
- 12:49Speaker 2: just how much of a meltdown this will be. I look,
- 12:53Speaker 2: I hope we don't go there, but but I do
- 12:56Speaker 2: think I don't see many Democrats willing to to to
- 13:01Speaker 2: repent and change their ways.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 13:06Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 13:08Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. You know,
- 13:13Speaker 1: one of the things that's also interesting about this conversation
- 13:16Speaker 1: is the fact that Democrats who said, well, you know,
- 13:20Speaker 1: we were trying to say democracy were screwed. Now we
- 13:23Speaker 1: got to dictator a tyrant coming in, are actually the
- 13:26Speaker 1: ones acting like that. Governor Newsom has already come out
- 13:30Speaker 1: saying I'm calling a special session to prep the battle
- 13:34Speaker 1: against incoming Trump administration, calling it a special legislative session
- 13:40Speaker 1: focus on potential state litigation against the Trump administration over
- 13:45Speaker 1: issues that could impact his state.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Look, they're going to resist on every front. They're going
- 13:52Speaker 2: to fight because why because they hate democracy. That's the irony.
- 13:57Speaker 2: They talk about democracy constantly, but what they mean momocracy
- 14:00Speaker 2: is we will force you to obey us, whether or
- 14:02Speaker 2: not the voters want it. They don't actually want democracy.
- 14:05Speaker 2: If they want a democracy, they wouldn't have prosecuted Trump
- 14:07Speaker 2: four different times because they would have trusted the voters.
- 14:09Speaker 2: They like power, and they mask their lust for power
- 14:14Speaker 2: in calling it democracy. But I gotta say, there's at
- 14:17Speaker 2: least one Democrat right now who is celebrating, who is
- 14:20Speaker 2: smiling ear to ear, who may well be the happiest
- 14:24Speaker 2: man in the world, and that would be Joseph Robinette Biden.
- 14:29Speaker 2: He is joyful. And I'm going to wager you twenty
- 14:32Speaker 2: bucks that Joe Biden and Jill Biden they both pulled
- 14:36Speaker 2: the lever for Donald Trump when they voted on Tuesday.
- 14:40Speaker 1: It wouldn't surprise me because if you go back to
- 14:43Speaker 1: this coup, and to quickly remind people, it was the
- 14:47Speaker 1: Democratic mafia and the fam the five families, it was
- 14:51Speaker 1: the Schumer, Pelosi, Obama Clinton's that were in this and Harris,
- 14:59Speaker 1: those five families had a coup. I think they probably
- 15:02Speaker 1: threatened him with a twenty fifth amendment if you don't
- 15:05Speaker 1: step aside, we're gonna do this too, because we don't
- 15:07Speaker 1: want to lose, and we think we can win. With
- 15:09Speaker 1: Harris and Joe Biden. I have not seen him have
- 15:13Speaker 1: a bigger grin on his face when he did this
- 15:16Speaker 1: Rose Garden conversation. Whatever. Well, look the whole thing started.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I mean, I think Biden found out about it when
- 15:23Speaker 2: he woke up with his dog Major's head in his bed,
- 15:27Speaker 2: and he was just screaming and screaming and screaming. And
- 15:31Speaker 2: for those of y'all too young to get the reference,
- 15:33Speaker 2: that's a reference to The Godfather, where where the movie
- 15:37Speaker 2: producer who refuses to cast a young Frank Sinatra has
- 15:41Speaker 2: this this prize race horse that that the Godfather decapitates
- 15:46Speaker 2: and puts the horse's head in the bed. And it
- 15:49Speaker 2: really was. It was the five families they met and
- 15:52Speaker 2: they said, mister Biden, your services are no longer needed.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And and you know what I think Joe Biden is.
- 16:00Speaker 2: I don't think it's an accident that Joe Biden put
- 16:02Speaker 2: on a Maga hat in the middle of the election.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I do not think it is an accident that Jill
- 16:07Speaker 2: Biden when she went to vote, dressed in all read
- 16:11Speaker 2: I think that was quite deliberate. But listen to Joe Biden.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Listen to the joy that he is emanating today.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Now take a listen to Joe Biden. And I'll say
- 16:22Speaker 1: it again. When he came out, he was grinning from
- 16:25Speaker 1: ear to ear in the Rose Garden.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good to see you all, particularly good to
- 16:31Speaker 3: see my granddaughter sitting in the front row here. Hi
- 16:34Speaker 3: Van how are you, honey. For over two hundred years,
- 16:38Speaker 3: America has carried out the greatest experiment in self government
- 16:42Speaker 3: and history of the world. That's not hyperbole, that's a fact.
- 16:47Speaker 2: For the people.
- 16:48Speaker 3: The people vote and choose their own leaders, and they
- 16:51Speaker 3: do it peacefully, and we're in a democracy.
- 16:55Speaker 1: The will of the.
- 16:56Speaker 3: People always prevails. Yesterday, I spoke with President elect Trump
- 17:02Speaker 3: to congratulate him on his victory, and I assured him
- 17:06Speaker 3: I direct my entire administration to work with his team
- 17:10Speaker 3: to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition. That's what the
- 17:15Speaker 3: American people deserve. Yesterday I also spoke with Vice President Harris.
- 17:21Speaker 3: She's been a partner and a public servant. She ran
- 17:25Speaker 3: an inspiring campaign and everyone got to see something that
- 17:29Speaker 3: I learned early on to respect so much her character.
- 17:34Speaker 3: She has a backbone like a rammod. She has great character,
- 17:37Speaker 3: true character. She gave her whole heart and effort, and
- 17:41Speaker 3: she and her entire team should be proud of the
- 17:43Speaker 3: campaign they ran. You know, the struggle for the soul
- 17:48Speaker 3: of America since our very founding has always been an
- 17:53Speaker 3: ongoing debate and still vital today. I know for some
- 17:59Speaker 3: people it's a time for victory to state the obvious.
- 18:03Speaker 3: For others, it's a time of loss. Campaigns, your contest
- 18:09Speaker 3: of competing visions. The country chooses one or the other.
- 18:14Speaker 3: We accept the choice the country made. I've said many times,
- 18:20Speaker 3: you can't love your country only when you win. You
- 18:25Speaker 3: can't love your neighbor only when you agree something. I
- 18:31Speaker 3: hope we can do no matter who you voted for,
- 18:35Speaker 3: they see each other not as adversaries, but as fellow Americans.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Bring down the temperature. I also hope we can later
- 18:43Speaker 3: rest the question about the integrity of the American electoral system.
- 18:48Speaker 3: It is honest, it is fair, and it is transparent,
- 18:54Speaker 3: and it can be trusted win or lose. I also
- 18:58Speaker 3: hope we can restore their respect for all our election
- 19:02Speaker 3: workers who busted their next and took risks at the outset.
- 19:06Speaker 3: We should thank them, thank them for staffing voting sites,
- 19:11Speaker 3: counting the votes, protecting the very integrity of the election.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Many of them are volunteers who do it simply out
- 19:19Speaker 3: of love for their country and as they did as
- 19:24Speaker 3: they did their duty as citizens. I will do my
- 19:27Speaker 3: duty as president. I'll fulfill my oath, and I wanted
- 19:32Speaker 3: the Constitution. On January twentieth, we'll have a peaceful transfer
- 19:37Speaker 3: of power here in America. To all our incredible staff, supporters,
- 19:43Speaker 3: Captinet members, all the people who have been hanging out
- 19:45Speaker 3: with me for the last forty years.
- 19:46Speaker 1: God love you.
- 19:47Speaker 3: As my mother would say, thank you so much. You
- 19:50Speaker 3: put so much into the past four years. I know
- 19:53Speaker 3: it's a difficult time.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I mean, this was a different Joe Biden. You can
- 19:57Speaker 1: even say, a joyous Joe Biden is not what you
- 20:00Speaker 1: would normally think. And you gotta look at it and go, man,
- 20:04Speaker 1: he was living it up on election. I like, you
- 20:06Speaker 1: guys threw me out and guess what, you didn't get
- 20:08Speaker 1: the prize after all.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yeah, And look, I am certain that Joe Biden looked
- 20:14Speaker 2: at his family, looked at his top staff, and said,
- 20:16Speaker 2: if it had been me, I don't want he believed.
- 20:20Speaker 2: He believes it through and through. And I don't think
- 20:23Speaker 2: he will ever forgive Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama and
- 20:27Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer for throwing him overboard, doing it unceremoniously and
- 20:32Speaker 2: saying we want Kamala instead. And look, we'll never know
- 20:36Speaker 2: what that alternative reality would be. I mean, Biden's first
- 20:39Speaker 2: debate was a disaster. That's undoubtedly true. But I will
- 20:45Speaker 2: tell you on election night, Biden did better everywhere than
- 20:52Speaker 2: Kamala did like Kamala or let me frame it in
- 20:55Speaker 2: the obverse, Kamala did worse than Biden did everywhere. And
- 21:01Speaker 2: Joe Biden, I think, is celebrating and not even that quietly.
- 21:05Speaker 2: And you know what, I'm celebrating too, because it means
- 21:08Speaker 2: the country. It's morning in America again and we're turning
- 21:12Speaker 2: the country around as before.
- 21:14Speaker 1: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
- 21:17Speaker 1: on this topic, you can go back and down the
- 21:19Speaker 1: podcast from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I want to get back to the big story number
- 21:25Speaker 1: three of the week. You may have missed. All right,
- 21:27Speaker 1: let me ask you this question. You've actually met and
- 21:30Speaker 1: chatted with Elon Musk. There is something different that's happening
- 21:34Speaker 1: right now, and that's the people around Trump. There's a
- 21:38Speaker 1: very good chance that Elon Musk could be involved in
- 21:41Speaker 1: the Trump administration on a real level. We see him
- 21:44Speaker 1: bring in people like RFK Junior. We see him bringing
- 21:47Speaker 1: in different minds that traditional you know politicians have not done.
- 21:51Speaker 1: How significant could it be to have a guy like
- 21:54Speaker 1: Elon Musk coming in and looking at like, you know,
- 21:57Speaker 1: accountability and efficiency with I say, it's government, which is
- 22:01Speaker 1: clearly bloated, and this is something he's really good at.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, Elon is extraordinary. I know him well, he's
- 22:08Speaker 2: become a friend. I've spent a lot of time with Elon.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I'll tell you that they're smart people you encounter in life.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Elon is next level. I mean, there's just the guy
- 22:19Speaker 2: is freakin' brilliant and he knows how to run a
- 22:22Speaker 2: company like you look at the incredible success he has,
- 22:27Speaker 2: whether it's Tesla, whether it's it's SpaceX, whether it's the
- 22:30Speaker 2: boring company, whether it is uh X, Like he has
- 22:36Speaker 2: an ability to run. And by the way, the many
- 22:39Speaker 2: of those companies are like really precise manufacturers. You look
- 22:44Speaker 2: at SpaceX where they're manufacturing rocket ships with precision, with
- 22:48Speaker 2: with within a like a like a tenth of an
- 22:51Speaker 2: inch or less. I mean it is And I've been
- 22:53Speaker 2: down to the like they're factory in Bocachica down down
- 22:57Speaker 2: by Brownsville in the southern tip of Texas. I mean
- 22:59Speaker 2: it is remarkable. They're turning out of rocket ship a
- 23:01Speaker 2: month and they just built it out of nothing. I
- 23:03Speaker 2: mean is it's incredible and Elon is all in. We
- 23:09Speaker 2: saw him pour himself into this election. At the end,
- 23:12Speaker 2: I think it made a difference. I think he made
- 23:14Speaker 2: a difference in Pennsylvania where he really devoted a lot
- 23:17Speaker 2: of time and energy and money and personal credibility. And
- 23:21Speaker 2: I think it will be significant his impact on the
- 23:24Speaker 2: federal government. Now, there are structural impediments to having efficiency
- 23:29Speaker 2: in government, and so I don't think people should think
- 23:33Speaker 2: we're suddenly going to be in nirvana and everything will
- 23:36Speaker 2: be solved. Because in a company, Elon can walk in
- 23:41Speaker 2: and fire anyone he wants. And by the way, when
- 23:43Speaker 2: he bought Twitter, he fired a whole bunch of the
- 23:45Speaker 2: folks there and all the woke radicals. He basically said,
- 23:48Speaker 2: bye bye, you're out of here. The federal government, that
- 23:51Speaker 2: is much much harder to do. You've got civil service
- 23:53Speaker 2: protections that enables career bureaucrats to burrow in. I think
- 23:59Speaker 2: we will see the Trump administration take on the career
- 24:02Speaker 2: bureaucracy in a way that has never ever happened before.
- 24:06Speaker 2: That's a big deal. I expect Elon to play an
- 24:08Speaker 2: important role in that. But but I don't want to
- 24:12Speaker 2: understate the legal barriers, the bureaucratic barriers, that that it
- 24:18Speaker 2: is not like just coming into a company where you
- 24:21Speaker 2: have the ability to give anyone a pink slip. The
- 24:24Speaker 2: bureaucracy will fight back. And by the way, in the
- 24:27Speaker 2: first Trump term, we saw the deep state wage war
- 24:31Speaker 2: on Donald Trump. I very much hope the team coming
- 24:33Speaker 2: in understands much much better just how dangerous the foe
- 24:41Speaker 2: is they're facing of the radical leftists who burrowed into
- 24:44Speaker 2: the federal government, and that they're better prepared and ready
- 24:47Speaker 2: to take them on.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt about it. And by the way, saving
- 24:51Speaker 1: free speech by buying x just so people know how
- 24:55Speaker 1: biased that I would say the media is. And I'm
- 25:00Speaker 1: talking about the media. You have control over Facebook. We
- 25:03Speaker 1: were comparing last night many conservative influencers and center. You're
- 25:08Speaker 1: gonna find this interesting. From October ninth through November the fifth,
- 25:14Speaker 1: the reach that I had on Facebook was down eighty
- 25:19Speaker 1: three point six percent as a conservative on Facebook in
- 25:25Speaker 1: the month leading up to election well, and there were
- 25:29Speaker 1: quite a few other conservatives. I was talking earlier with
- 25:32Speaker 1: Megan McCain about this, and we opened up our analytics,
- 25:36Speaker 1: our insights on our public pages and again I'm looking
- 25:40Speaker 1: at it right now. Eighty three point six percent. That's
- 25:44Speaker 1: how much they turned off the faucet to free speech
- 25:47Speaker 1: of conservative influencers on Facebook, on Meta, on Instagram in
- 25:52Speaker 1: the last thirty days before the election. So the liberals
- 25:57Speaker 1: had free flow of intel and information and their side
- 26:01Speaker 1: and conservatives were throttled almost eighty five percent. I just
- 26:06Speaker 1: think that's interesting to see what Elon must have to
- 26:08Speaker 1: save freedom of speech on x He didn't do that there.
- 26:12Speaker 1: He let everybody talk. God bless America when it comes
- 26:15Speaker 1: to that. Your final thoughts to all the listeners of Verdict,
- 26:19Speaker 1: all those that came out and voted for you, I
- 26:21Speaker 1: know you want to say something to them as well.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Look to the listeners of Verdict, you guys are amazing.
- 26:25Speaker 2: You're the most informed, you're the most engaged. You care
- 26:28Speaker 2: about our nation. You're fighting to save our nation. And
- 26:32Speaker 2: everyone in Texas who worked so unbelievably hard. Look that
- 26:36Speaker 2: this was a battle I believe about keeping Texas, Texas,
- 26:39Speaker 2: my race, the money, the media, everything that came in
- 26:44Speaker 2: against us. They if you live in Texas, by the way,
- 26:47Speaker 2: thank god the ads are over. I mean, you couldn't
- 26:50Speaker 2: turn on your TV without every second or third AD
- 26:52Speaker 2: being an attack AD, just hammering the living daylights out
- 26:56Speaker 2: of me and the people of Texas. I'll tell you
- 26:58Speaker 2: it was inspirational. You can out on the road with me.
- 27:01Speaker 2: We did a fifty three stop bus tour all across
- 27:05Speaker 2: the state of Texas, over nine thousand miles we covered,
- 27:08Speaker 2: We did rallies everywhere, and it was incredible. The people
- 27:12Speaker 2: and you're just ordinary people, students, senior citizens, single moms, Hispanics,
- 27:18Speaker 2: African Americans, just Texans standing up and saying we want
- 27:23Speaker 2: to keep Texas Texas want. We want low taxes, low
- 27:27Speaker 2: and reasonable regulations, lots of jobs. We want security, we
- 27:31Speaker 2: want the border secure. We want to support law enforcement.
- 27:34Speaker 2: We want criminals in jail. We want to defend our freedom.
- 27:37Speaker 2: We want free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment. All
- 27:40Speaker 2: of that was on the ballot last night, and I
- 27:42Speaker 2: want to say it is breathtaking the Texans that came
- 27:45Speaker 2: out for me, and nationally, the people who supported the campaign,
- 27:48Speaker 2: who contributed the campaign, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 27:54Speaker 2: And the people who supported Donald Trump, who supported Senate
- 27:57Speaker 2: candidates and House candidates across the country. You helped change America.
- 28:03Speaker 2: And I believe pull it back from the brink of destruction.
- 28:07Speaker 2: And I just want to say thank you to the
- 28:10Speaker 2: incredible patriots who together saved America last night.
- 28:15Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Center
