- 0:00Speaker 1: Today show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all.
- 0:09Speaker 2: At all at all, So.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Don't give them a bu bus things. Yeah listening to
- 0:26Speaker 3: to I don't joy? Yeah, joy?
- 0:59Speaker 2: You know you.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Love?
- 1:06Speaker 5: You know you gotta turn. I can't.
- 1:41Speaker 2: To turn the most turn.
- 1:43Speaker 3: You probably got to turn mouth, turn out, turn the
- 1:47Speaker 3: word of the monypo.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Come come out, you.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Think, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're
- 2:04Speaker 1: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey, I got a radio show. Real
- 2:11Speaker 1: grateful for that. You know, it's funny. I remember when
- 2:14Speaker 1: I first started out in radio. A lot of my
- 2:17Speaker 1: peers laughed at me. Some of it was being mean spirited.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Some of it was just you know, mocking me. I'm
- 2:24Speaker 1: used to stuff like that. But I had a special
- 2:27Speaker 1: guest on my show, Joe Oldstein, and you know something, man,
- 2:31Speaker 1: he says something that was I can't remember the scripture.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I don't know exactly how it were like, we were
- 2:36Speaker 1: having a long conversation, but the gist of it was,
- 2:39Speaker 1: don't be upset with where you are now, and don't
- 2:43Speaker 1: be upset with the small things in your life. Be
- 2:46Speaker 1: grateful for the small things and the small position that
- 2:49Speaker 1: you have right now, because you don't know where that's going.
- 2:52Speaker 1: You don't know what that's gonna be one day. You
- 2:53Speaker 1: don't know what that's gonna lead to. And that was
- 2:56Speaker 1: very warming to hear him say that. But it also
- 3:00Speaker 1: reminded me of when I started in radio, how small
- 3:03Speaker 1: it was. It reminded me of when I started in
- 3:06Speaker 1: stand up making twenty five dollars a show. It reminds
- 3:10Speaker 1: me of not having a home at a period in
- 3:13Speaker 1: my life and what God has allowed me to live
- 3:16Speaker 1: in now. So don't be distraught over your position now,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and don't be ungrateful or unappreciative for the things you
- 3:26Speaker 1: have now because you don't know what that's gonna grow into.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And that's really the gist of that I got from
- 3:30Speaker 1: what he was saying. I just wanted to share that
- 3:32Speaker 1: with you, that where you are now is so temporary
- 3:36Speaker 1: because now, like I've said before, now is a fleeting moment.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Right after you finished saying now, that moment that you
- 3:43Speaker 1: claimed as now, that's gone. So the where you are
- 3:47Speaker 1: now is a very fleeting process. Now, you can change
- 3:51Speaker 1: where you are now, and you can change how you
- 3:54Speaker 1: feel about where you're at now, and you can change
- 3:57Speaker 1: about where you're going by simply changing your mind. It
- 4:02Speaker 1: is no difference. I'm telling you, folks, the thing that
- 4:05Speaker 1: I've learned about successful people is not so much of
- 4:09Speaker 1: what they do. It's not what they have. The biggest
- 4:13Speaker 1: thing I've learned about successful people is how they think.
- 4:17Speaker 1: That's the thing that's different. It's how they think. And
- 4:22Speaker 1: I'm telling you that you can change the way you
- 4:25Speaker 1: think on any subject and start becoming successful towards that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Starting now, you have to understand that. Man, the biggest
- 4:35Speaker 1: difference I've noticed between successful people and non successful people
- 4:40Speaker 1: is how they think. I was reading what it's God
- 4:45Speaker 1: said that he was taught all wrong about money. He
- 4:48Speaker 1: said that his father was very negative about money. He
- 4:52Speaker 1: all throughout his life he heard his father say, you know,
- 4:55Speaker 1: people who got money have walked on somebody to get it,
- 4:58Speaker 1: or cheated somebody to get People who have money, money
- 5:01Speaker 1: is the root of all evil. Money is money is
- 5:05Speaker 1: this And people who got money, you know, don't deserve it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: They've done something wrong to get it. Yah to y'all. So,
- 5:11Speaker 1: he said, he grew up the whole time thinking that
- 5:14Speaker 1: having money was something was wrong with that. He discovered
- 5:17Speaker 1: that it wasn't look you can choose to be successful
- 5:20Speaker 1: anywhere you want to. I've chosen several ways to be successful.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I want to be a very, very successful father. I
- 5:27Speaker 1: think that's one of the things that's paramount in my
- 5:29Speaker 1: life that I really am working hard right now to
- 5:33Speaker 1: become a successful father. Not a successful father in terms
- 5:38Speaker 1: of money, but a successful father in terms of offering
- 5:43Speaker 1: the amount of love and guidance and leadership and the
- 5:46Speaker 1: example that my children need to look at. And that's
- 5:50Speaker 1: what I'm really really working hard at now. I want
- 5:52Speaker 1: to be successful as a father, but also I want
- 5:55Speaker 1: to be successful as a husband. You know. I want
- 5:58Speaker 1: Marjorie to always notice can count on me, to not
- 6:01Speaker 1: have to wonder about me or look for me. You know.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I want her to feel secure in the fact that
- 6:08Speaker 1: I really have gotten it right, that I really am
- 6:11Speaker 1: focused on being a good husband to her because it
- 6:15Speaker 1: means so much to me, you know. So I'm working
- 6:18Speaker 1: hard on a lot of levels. I'm working hard and
- 6:20Speaker 1: trying very strong to be a successful motivator of people.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I want to be a share of information to people
- 6:28Speaker 1: that will uplift others and give others the same things
- 6:31Speaker 1: that I've learned through the trials and tribulations of my life.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But at the same time, share that information and use
- 6:39Speaker 1: the power of this microphone to uplift people, you know,
- 6:42Speaker 1: not to destroy. My show is not about Ooh, guess
- 6:44Speaker 1: what so and so said? Guess what so and so did.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I don't like mean spirited things about people, you know.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I joke with people who calling this that's another thing.
- 6:52Speaker 1: But I don't like destroying people with the power of
- 6:55Speaker 1: the microphone. So I'm working very hard on being successful
- 6:58Speaker 1: in a lot of areas of my life. So I
- 7:00Speaker 1: do care about being financially successful too. Because my father,
- 7:05Speaker 1: one of the gifts he gave me was very simple gift.
- 7:07Speaker 1: He told me a long time ago. He said, son,
- 7:10Speaker 1: the best thing you can do for poor people is
- 7:13Speaker 1: not be one of them. And that stuck with me.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And this was a hard working man who was a
- 7:18Speaker 1: coal miner who worked construction his entire life. My father
- 7:23Speaker 1: didn't have an easy life man. My father didn't sit
- 7:26Speaker 1: behind a microphone. My father didn't come to work and
- 7:29Speaker 1: people cheered for him. My father wasn't famous. My father
- 7:33Speaker 1: was just a go get it dude that he instilled
- 7:37Speaker 1: that in me, and I've taken that and applied it
- 7:39Speaker 1: to my craft and I thank God for him for that.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But I do try to be financially successful so that
- 7:45Speaker 1: I can do some things with it to help some
- 7:47Speaker 1: other people. Now, am I opposed to having nice things?
- 7:50Speaker 6: No?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Do I apologize for having nice things? No? And why
- 7:54Speaker 1: should I? I work? You know, I'm not on the
- 7:58Speaker 1: radio asking give me money, you know, so I can
- 8:01Speaker 1: go buy a car. I'm working. So I don't feel
- 8:05Speaker 1: how you want to feel. And other people do feel
- 8:07Speaker 1: that way about it. But if success in terms of
- 8:10Speaker 1: finance is what you're lacking, you can go about the
- 8:14Speaker 1: business of doing that. I'm writing a book, and that
- 8:16Speaker 1: whole book is about teaching people how to become successful.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And man, I'm breaking it down in a way where
- 8:23Speaker 1: everybody can get it, man, because I want the college
- 8:26Speaker 1: student to get it, you know. I want the working
- 8:29Speaker 1: mom to get it, the single mom to get it.
- 8:31Speaker 1: The hard working father has been trying to hold his
- 8:34Speaker 1: family together can get it. The father that ain't ever
- 8:37Speaker 1: got it together and feel that because of that reason,
- 8:40Speaker 1: he can't be the father he needs to be. I'm
- 8:43Speaker 1: writing something, man, to put it into words to let
- 8:46Speaker 1: you know that God is a forgiving God, and that
- 8:49Speaker 1: God is a merciful God, and that God can get
- 8:53Speaker 1: you out of any situation you find yourself in. You
- 8:56Speaker 1: just can't beat yourself up every time you make a
- 8:58Speaker 1: mistakes all the time. Man, I just got to remind
- 9:02Speaker 1: myself to get up. I ask God for forgiveness, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: call on his mercy and his grace, and I get
- 9:08Speaker 1: up and I go again. But it's coming, man. And
- 9:11Speaker 1: if finance success is what you want, you got to
- 9:14Speaker 1: change your mind. You got to start thinking about how
- 9:17Speaker 1: to produce it. The first thing you do is you
- 9:19Speaker 1: got to ask. You got to ask to have a
- 9:23Speaker 1: life and have a life more abundantly. That's a scripture
- 9:27Speaker 1: that He comes to you to give you life and
- 9:29Speaker 1: to give you life more abundantly. That's a scripture that
- 9:33Speaker 1: ain't a joke, that ain't a theory. That's a fact,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and the fact that if you don't have a life
- 9:38Speaker 1: of abundance, you can get that by asking. Then it
- 9:41Speaker 1: starts by believing. And how too, don't even worry about that.
- 9:45Speaker 1: He takes care of that himself. He'll send the stuff
- 9:47Speaker 1: your way. But you got to be willing to put
- 9:49Speaker 1: some effort in this thing now, and you can do it. Okay.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I know I was a little around the place today,
- 9:54Speaker 1: but that's what it was, so you know, let's go
- 9:56Speaker 1: get it.
- 9:57Speaker 2: You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 1: People that work at the train station, postal workers, we're
- 10:08Speaker 1: praying for y'all. The special prayer goes out to everybody
- 10:12Speaker 1: that works down at the DMV. Lord Lord, bless they
- 10:16Speaker 1: attitude today. Fix them God that they realize that they
- 10:21Speaker 1: are in the service business and they are to try
- 10:25Speaker 1: to make our day more pleasant at the DMV. We're
- 10:29Speaker 1: asking you to watch over the DMV today. Congratulations to
- 10:33Speaker 1: those of you who's avite. This is Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:36Speaker 1: Show and I'm gonna start this over this morning. Ladies

- 10:51Speaker 1: to show gratitude. It's a great moment. I expect God
- 10:55Speaker 1: to do great things today, you understand. I just know
- 11:00Speaker 1: He's working on my behalf. I ask God to protect
- 11:03Speaker 1: me from all evil. All haters out there have been

- 17:53Speaker 4: somebody will come back tomorrow and pick them up.
- 17:57Speaker 9: You mean somebody gonna come back and pick them up tomorrow.
- 17:59Speaker 10: I'm not gonna have them see my house overnight. But
- 18:01Speaker 10: you think I am. I ain't Mary Poppa's man. I
- 18:04Speaker 10: ain't out here doing nothing with these animals like this.
- 18:06Speaker 9: You're crazy. Forehan, Please, if there's a contain animal at
- 18:10Speaker 9: my house when I arrived, so help me.
- 18:11Speaker 1: God, so so so help you God. What you're gonna have?
- 18:14Speaker 4: The animal is gonna be there when you get there. Man,
- 18:16Speaker 4: you're not finna use. You're slowing up my whole delivery
- 18:20Speaker 4: route today. Okay, I ain't got time for this.
- 18:22Speaker 9: I ain't got time this, man.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I want, But.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Why you ordered? Why you order a kangaroo if you
- 18:28Speaker 4: don't want it?
- 18:29Speaker 1: Now?
- 18:29Speaker 10: If I didn't order them kangaroo, that's why I don't
- 18:32Speaker 10: want the King because I.
- 18:33Speaker 9: Didn't order them kangaroo. Be telling me what's oorder? What
- 18:37Speaker 9: I want? Okay, this is the worst customer service in
- 18:39Speaker 9: the world. I don't even a customer of yours. You're
- 18:42Speaker 9: trying to tell me that I got a kangaroo of
- 18:45Speaker 9: peacock and peacocks tool.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You have two peacocks. You have two peacocks, Sir.
- 18:50Speaker 9: This isn't even make any I'm gonna do with those animals.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Animals, I don't know what you're gonna do with them,
- 18:56Speaker 4: but you're gonna sign. You're gonna sign this paperwork though.
- 18:59Speaker 4: That's what you're gonna do.
- 19:01Speaker 9: If you think I'm sorry paperwork.
- 19:05Speaker 4: An I don't want to whoop your at your house
- 19:09Speaker 4: in front of your wife and kids behind some damn animals.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I don't, but you're gonna sign my paperwork.
- 19:14Speaker 10: You would I wish you would try to whoop my
- 19:17Speaker 10: I'm about to show my kids what it looks like
- 19:20Speaker 10: to show up and talks real restless O. Can you
- 19:22Speaker 10: show it up here with a damn caravan of animals
- 19:25Speaker 10: like I'm in the ridiculous?
- 19:27Speaker 9: Okay, huh, no, face man, this isous.
- 19:31Speaker 4: It's only one thing. I really, just only one last
- 19:33Speaker 4: thing I need to tell you, to be honest with you,
- 19:35Speaker 4: What is that? The only thing I can tell you now? Adrian,
- 19:39Speaker 4: is that I have nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 19:41Speaker 4: Morty Show. Your wife Bridget got me the frank phone
- 19:44Speaker 4: call you.
- 19:45Speaker 11: Oh man, you gotta be.
- 19:49Speaker 9: Man, Wow, you.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Don't want the delivery man.
- 19:56Speaker 9: You don't want I don't want the kangaroo man. Those
- 20:01Speaker 9: animals together, Man, you gotta be to mind one of
- 20:03Speaker 9: those damn animals.
- 20:06Speaker 1: All right, baby, give it?
- 20:07Speaker 4: Tell me what's the baddest and I mean the baddest
- 20:09Speaker 4: radio show in the land.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Let me hear, Adrian, it's.
- 20:12Speaker 9: A Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:14Speaker 13: Baby, what come on, nephew, Yeah, come on, y'all y'all
- 20:22Speaker 13: like like y'all don't act brand new like y'all don't
- 20:24Speaker 13: know how to order that I really.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Because we don't don't think about I'm really thinking about
- 20:31Speaker 4: ordering some peacocks from my yard, though I really don't
- 20:33Speaker 4: think about like two of the Carroll cocks, because what's
- 20:36Speaker 4: wrong with peacock?
- 20:37Speaker 1: That's not good? Well, you ain't gonna be see what
- 20:39Speaker 1: about you think? Why would you want to buy a bird?
- 20:44Speaker 1: And you got to look up this but.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Coming up next ask to see allow our Chief Love
- 20:50Speaker 2: Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 20:53Speaker 14: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Coming up at the top of the hour, we're talking
- 20:59Speaker 2: with eighty five South, the Poor, Sad s DC, Young Flag,
- 21:03Speaker 2: Carlos Miller and Chico Bean. They're gonna be joining us.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Tell us about yeah, eighty five South, Big Business Tour.
- 21:09Speaker 2: To stick around to see if they've headed if they're
- 21:11Speaker 2: gonna be headed your way. That's coming up at the
- 21:14Speaker 2: top of the hour. But right now it is time
- 21:16Speaker 2: to ask the CLO our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 21:21Speaker 6: This is from.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Christian and Memphis. Christian says, I have over active sweat
- 21:25Speaker 2: glands and I had a terrible time last night when
- 21:28Speaker 2: I tried to have sex. I took a shower first,
- 21:31Speaker 2: but once my feet started sweating, it was over. The
- 21:35Speaker 2: lady tried to be nice about it. So do I
- 21:37Speaker 2: tell her the truth or never call her again?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Hey, dog, you're gonna head star wearing T shirt or
- 21:43Speaker 1: some sock?
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah, make them hotter, won't it?
- 21:48Speaker 14: Well?
- 21:48Speaker 1: You know they got these socks that were cool as
- 21:50Speaker 1: over them. They got these cool socks. You got to
- 21:53Speaker 1: buy you some cool socks, and you gotta get you
- 21:55Speaker 1: some T shirts. These old actors, we don't nobody want
- 21:58Speaker 1: all that dripping in a you know, down this, you
- 22:01Speaker 1: got all this sweat glands you just dripped. People don't
- 22:04Speaker 1: want that. Dog, don't nobody want all that?
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yeah, too much.
- 22:12Speaker 1: You're gonna have to get you a skin suit. You're
- 22:14Speaker 1: gonna have to slide into a nude suit that looked
- 22:18Speaker 1: like skin. Richard Pryor had one on a long time
- 22:21Speaker 1: ago on his TV show. It's a nude suit. It's
- 22:24Speaker 1: like a body stocket. You put it on, it look
- 22:27Speaker 1: like skin. You're gonna be a little rough, but you're
- 22:31Speaker 1: a man anyway.
- 22:33Speaker 2: So should he tell his lady that we got to
- 22:37Speaker 2: tell him, let her, let her go, never call her again.
- 22:40Speaker 1: No, no him, No, don't do that, doll. Just explain
- 22:44Speaker 1: to it a problem you got, and then you know,
- 22:47Speaker 1: see if she's willing to help you now she ain't
- 22:48Speaker 1: willing to help you, then, even with your sweat glands,
- 22:52Speaker 1: she was probably laying there going, what is you sweating for?
- 22:54Speaker 1: You ain't doing That's a whole other problem.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Only your sweating, all right?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Only you see, well, when you be sweating on your body,
- 23:11Speaker 1: your body be wet. It's up there, all right.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Moving on to Roanne in Schomberg, Ryann and Schomberg.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Right.
- 23:22Speaker 2: So I have a work phone and my coworker constantly
- 23:25Speaker 2: sends me screenshots from Instagram day and night. My husband
- 23:30Speaker 2: said to get my little work friend in check, but
- 23:32Speaker 2: he won't stop, and I can't block him. Should I
- 23:34Speaker 2: let my husband talk to him?
- 23:37Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. No, because you ain't
- 23:41Speaker 1: gonna have no job no more. No, just go up
- 23:47Speaker 1: to him and say, hey, listen to me. Don't send
- 23:50Speaker 1: me anything else, because if you do, hear my options
- 23:54Speaker 1: and I don't want to exercise either one of them.
- 23:56Speaker 1: So I'm gonna give you a chance. Brother, don't send
- 23:59Speaker 1: me any more. If information number one I have to
- 24:03Speaker 1: go to HR, and number two I'm gonna have to
- 24:06Speaker 1: go to my husband. If I am an HR, you
- 24:09Speaker 1: might lose your job. If I go to my husband,
- 24:12Speaker 1: you might lose your life. Which one is you're gonna do?
- 24:14Speaker 1: Or you can stop sending stuff and just be sitting here.
- 24:17Speaker 1: That's what it's gonna come down. Well done it. You
- 24:20Speaker 1: ain't got to say that, but that's what you're gonna insinuate. Hey, look, brother,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I really like you as a person, but I need
- 24:27Speaker 1: for you to stop sending me stuff on Instagram. It's inappropriate.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I am married and I don't want it now. If
- 24:33Speaker 1: you don't stop, I have two options, and I don't
- 24:37Speaker 1: want to exercise either one of them. I can go
- 24:39Speaker 1: to HR to stop it, and I think you could
- 24:42Speaker 1: possibly be in trouble and lose your job. Or I
- 24:45Speaker 1: could tell my husband don't neither one of us want that,
- 24:48Speaker 1: because my husband does not need to be in prison.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Is it that serious though?
- 24:53Speaker 2: I mean, because we do that all the time.
- 24:55Speaker 1: You know it's serious. If she don't want it, it's
- 24:58Speaker 1: inappropriate in the workplace. If you do something to a
- 25:01Speaker 1: person that that that they don't want, that's inappropriate. Man,
- 25:04Speaker 1: We're in a new day.
- 25:06Speaker 2: This is true, all right? All right? Ver, look at
- 25:09Speaker 2: the HR.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Go to HR.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Let's move on Leonivity studies out ahead to do not studies.
- 25:23Speaker 2: We're moving on Leon and DeSoto rights. My wife and
- 25:27Speaker 2: I are house honey. She expects a home with a
- 25:30Speaker 2: pool and a lot of land, but our budget is
- 25:33Speaker 2: leaning more toward a starter home. This is our first
- 25:36Speaker 2: home together, and I told her we can upgrade later.
- 25:40Speaker 2: How do I get her to be more realistic?
- 25:42Speaker 1: Stretched? All You're gonna have to stretch on this one?
- 25:45Speaker 1: What do you mean you're gonna have to stretch? Well,
- 25:48Speaker 1: here's a deal. Anyway. You can only buy what your
- 25:51Speaker 1: income that you buy, you're gonna qualify for a certain loan.
- 25:55Speaker 1: That's it. You won't. You can want all you want,
- 25:59Speaker 1: and there ain't nothing wrong with dreaming, but they're gonna
- 26:01Speaker 1: tell you what you qualify for, the bank, the mortgage company, whatever,
- 26:05Speaker 1: right am I right, y'ad.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yes, that's what my husband does for limit, yes, sir.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And so I think that's what you're gonna have to
- 26:11Speaker 1: play the ball in the ball game in there, unless
- 26:13Speaker 1: you run across some extra money or you can find
- 26:16Speaker 1: that in that budget price and have to go in
- 26:19Speaker 1: and do some fixing. But you're gonna cost you wave
- 26:22Speaker 1: more money if you don't. So yeah, I don't think
- 26:26Speaker 1: you have to get her to be realistic. I think
- 26:28Speaker 1: the banks and mortgage company gonna help you be realistic.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they gonna break it down.
- 26:37Speaker 8: Now that I'm just trying to be a better Christian today.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Okay, we're moving on, crazy DeMarcus. This is the last one,
- 26:47Speaker 2: DeMarcus Carlo, that's for you.
- 26:49Speaker 7: I'm you notice my name.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Come on to Marcus. What's wrong to DeMarcus, and Charlotte says,
- 26:54Speaker 2: why does my wife get mad if dinner is ready
- 26:57Speaker 2: when she gets home from work? I will from home
- 27:00Speaker 2: and I'm a much better cook.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Than she is.
- 27:03Speaker 2: So what's the big deal? Why is she hating and
- 27:06Speaker 2: not happy? Am I overstepping my boundaries here?
- 27:11Speaker 5: You just love him?
- 27:13Speaker 1: You may just be though, Now listen to me. He
- 27:17Speaker 1: was married to one of my co hosts. You know
- 27:21Speaker 1: she would come in and just.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Bea I love every day he who you're talking about,
- 27:28Speaker 2: But I love you and I support her me too.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Well, Carla doing it for a reason because she can cook,
- 27:37Speaker 1: and then Todd can make gumbo. But surely, on the.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Other hand, I love this man.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I didn't mean to use your name, but surely on
- 27:44Speaker 1: the how other hand is out? Now?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Remember you're trying to be a better Christian.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Right and state rice and steak in the same pot.
- 28:03Speaker 2: But I love DeMarcus.
- 28:06Speaker 4: What can he do?
- 28:07Speaker 15: Steve?
- 28:08Speaker 2: What you're gonna tell the Mark?
- 28:09Speaker 1: Well, all I'm saying is Shirley opened up that pot
- 28:12Speaker 1: and it looked like rice with beef jerky, and.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I am done in as the clo but I love
- 28:19Speaker 2: the market.
- 28:20Speaker 1: What is this?
- 28:21Speaker 7: Went?
- 28:21Speaker 1: Beef? Jerky. I didn't know Jerkie Kane juicy when they
- 28:28Speaker 1: started making Juicy Jerky. It's a new Jakey's called Juicy
- 28:33Speaker 1: Jerky Rice. Juicy Jerkie Rice.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Is he overstepping his boundaries? That's what DeMarcus wants to know.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Not if you live with Shirley.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I love you, DeMarcus.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, d Man, just ask her how she wanted
- 28:52Speaker 1: to do and but she already know you doing it
- 28:54Speaker 1: because she can't cook. She already knows dot nobody want that,
- 29:02Speaker 1: all right?
- 29:03Speaker 7: Thank you?
- 29:03Speaker 2: CeeLo. Coming up at the top of the hour, eighty
- 29:06Speaker 2: five souths Carlos Millard and Chico Bean will be our
- 29:10Speaker 2: special guests right after this. You're listening.
- 29:14Speaker 14: Morning Show.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Everybody has promised joining us. Now are two of the
- 29:21Speaker 1: three brothers that have really changed the way the game
- 29:26Speaker 1: is done. And I'm telling you this from a perspective
- 29:29Speaker 1: of someone who knows I have never in my entire
- 29:33Speaker 1: life seen three brothers come together as individual stand ups,
- 29:39Speaker 1: perform as an improv group, and sell out arenas. I
- 29:44Speaker 1: did not think that was even possible. I'm telling you
- 29:47Speaker 1: they have reinvented the game. I've seen it tried many times.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Second City TV tried to tour like that, couldn't get
- 29:55Speaker 1: in big arenas. I watched, I watched Saturday Night Live
- 29:59Speaker 1: try to go into arenas. Couldn't do it. The first
- 30:02Speaker 1: and only ones I've ever seen doing then it ever
- 30:05Speaker 1: is eighty five South, and they are here today. Two
- 30:08Speaker 1: of the bad boys is here. We got Carlos Miller,
- 30:11Speaker 1: we got Chico Bean. They on tour with their big
- 30:15Speaker 1: business shows all over the South this fall. So let's
- 30:18Speaker 1: see if they if they coming to a city near you,
- 30:21Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Two of the three out of eighty
- 30:24Speaker 1: five South, Carlos Miller.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Go bring Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I got the dog.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Don't nobody introduce nobody like me. I'm the greatest intro
- 30:38Speaker 1: off of all time.
- 30:41Speaker 11: I agree.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Tell us.
- 30:43Speaker 15: How y'all doing, man, we're doing amazing.
- 30:45Speaker 1: How are y'all good? Brother? I'm good, I'm good. I
- 30:51Speaker 1: saw I saw a video you you was talking about
- 30:56Speaker 1: when you ever asked a country, ask person one question
- 31:00Speaker 1: and they tell you this whole thing. Said, hey man,
- 31:03Speaker 1: you know how to get this on? And so yeah,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I know how to get there. Where are you from? Atlanta?
- 31:08Speaker 1: My sisters lived in Atlanta and then he went through
- 31:11Speaker 1: this whole story about how they got a divorced, how
- 31:15Speaker 1: they got sick.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Man.
- 31:16Speaker 1: I was sitting up there hollering, Man, that was a
- 31:19Speaker 1: great bit.
- 31:19Speaker 6: Bro.
- 31:20Speaker 11: You y'all cats appreciate that's true story.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Bro. I'll laughed. I played that thing about four five
- 31:26Speaker 1: times because that's exactly how they do it. Man, y'all
- 31:28Speaker 1: cats is real. Man, Hey man, y'all got a lot
- 31:30Speaker 1: of upcoming dates. Man, let's talk about some of the
- 31:32Speaker 1: places y'all.
- 31:33Speaker 11: Going going everywhere. Yeah, we we in Jacksonville this weekend
- 31:37Speaker 11: in Miami, and we and Memphis were in Houston. You know,
- 31:40Speaker 11: we're moving all around, man, taking that show on the road.
- 31:43Speaker 15: Yeah, everywhere everywhere they want to see the eighty five
- 31:46Speaker 15: Self Show.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Man.
- 31:48Speaker 15: You know, we stayed touring, so we got to hit
- 31:49Speaker 15: all the major markets. But this time we went back.
- 31:52Speaker 15: We added a few so we can get more, you know,
- 31:54Speaker 15: more coverage and hit more plays.
- 31:56Speaker 1: How did y'all come up with the concept? Whose idea
- 31:59Speaker 1: was it?
- 31:59Speaker 6: Talking?
- 32:00Speaker 11: Yeah? Always playing. Carlos is the elder to us, to
- 32:06Speaker 11: me and fly, you know, as far as comedy goes,
- 32:09Speaker 11: he had been doing it longer and he had you know,
- 32:11Speaker 11: kind of came up in the trenches of the game
- 32:13Speaker 11: through work in the clubs of Atlanta and everything, and
- 32:16Speaker 11: he kind of got a different vantage point on what
- 32:18Speaker 11: was necessary to really build the names, you know what
- 32:21Speaker 11: I mean. This was before we had the pleasure of
- 32:23Speaker 11: being around any level of success, like we've been blessed
- 32:25Speaker 11: with what you Steve and various other people. So blowthad
- 32:29Speaker 11: that I did say, man, we can use this wild'n
- 32:31Speaker 11: out as a springboard. We're doing we're supposed to do
- 32:33Speaker 11: on here, but we got to build something that's ours,
- 32:36Speaker 11: you know. And he had that vision just from understanding
- 32:38Speaker 11: what was necessary a little bit earlier than we did.
- 32:41Speaker 11: And we just you know, trust each other and definitely
- 32:43Speaker 11: trust him. So it's like, let's rock out.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 32:45Speaker 15: See if you've been in the game as long enough
- 32:47Speaker 15: that you know that like one thing that really focused
- 32:49Speaker 15: on and one thing like they really stood out to
- 32:51Speaker 15: me even if you tell me you notice, like a
- 32:53Speaker 15: lot of comedians don't like each other, Like they tolerate
- 32:56Speaker 15: each other, they'll work with each other, but they don't
- 32:58Speaker 15: genuinely like each other. It ain't a whole lot of
- 33:01Speaker 15: friends in this game. So I was like these are
- 33:03Speaker 15: my real friends. This is how we really talked. We
- 33:05Speaker 15: really kick it like this, so it only makes sense
- 33:07Speaker 15: to make it something. We didn't know exactly what it
- 33:10Speaker 15: would be.
- 33:10Speaker 16: It started in.
- 33:11Speaker 15: The studio and then we took it to the club,
- 33:13Speaker 15: and we took it to the you know, to the theater,
- 33:16Speaker 15: and then it just it's spilled over into the arena.
- 33:18Speaker 15: So we built it brick by brick. But you know,
- 33:20Speaker 15: the friendship was the basis of the whole thing.
- 33:23Speaker 1: It's it's just an amazing concept. Man. I'm telling you,
- 33:26Speaker 1: I've never seen this done before and it ain't kill nobody. Come,
- 33:30Speaker 1: I watched this. I was a student of this thing.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Second City tried to do it. Saturday Night Live tried
- 33:35Speaker 1: to come out and do it. It's never been done
- 33:37Speaker 1: at this level, y'all in arenas. Man, that's some there's
- 33:40Speaker 1: some King level stuff. This is the new Kings. I'm
- 33:44Speaker 1: telling you, man, I didn't I didn't talk this over
- 33:47Speaker 1: with said, I didn't talk this over with DL. Man.
- 33:50Speaker 1: We did this thing with Chris Spencer. These are the
- 33:53Speaker 1: new Kings. This is the King two point o version
- 33:57Speaker 1: of it. I mean, I'm telling you, man, it's an
- 34:00Speaker 1: an incredible thing to see. I sit there. Why, I
- 34:03Speaker 1: don't know how y'all pull it off. Man, I've never
- 34:05Speaker 1: seen the multiple light towards each other. To let them
- 34:08Speaker 1: do they say, yeah, they have a real timing.
- 34:12Speaker 11: With it that we all students of the game, Steve,
- 34:14Speaker 11: and you know, we've let you know on multiple occasions
- 34:17Speaker 11: like that's something that we watched and understand and study
- 34:20Speaker 11: in the game that it was a laying there was
- 34:22Speaker 11: a whole just opening for that to be done. Because
- 34:26Speaker 11: we always say, if the Kings would have came out
- 34:28Speaker 11: on stage together, that's another movie, you know what I mean,
- 34:31Speaker 11: And just us understanding that the dynamic that we have
- 34:34Speaker 11: together and knowing that it's enough light on one stage
- 34:37Speaker 11: for all three of us to be up there together
- 34:39Speaker 11: and still get the same type of shine and have
- 34:42Speaker 11: the same type of impact. It's something that you know,
- 34:44Speaker 11: like I said that we would be lying up. We said,
- 34:46Speaker 11: we knew that's who we were going to do. But
- 34:47Speaker 11: once we started, we knew it was like, oh, this
- 34:49Speaker 11: is this is something that's realistic. We can think this
- 34:52Speaker 11: as far as.
- 34:52Speaker 9: We want to take it.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think what prohibited the Kings from
- 34:57Speaker 1: doing anything like that is we were just older, and
- 35:00Speaker 1: we only knew one way.
- 35:02Speaker 11: Y'all wasn't that old. Y'all suits was old, but y'all
- 35:05Speaker 11: wasn't old.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Watch it to watch yourself. Be careful of y'all man,
- 35:14Speaker 1: to be very careful of the button count player, how
- 35:19Speaker 1: me the buttons? Was it dog riding? Man? Dog? If
- 35:22Speaker 1: you didn't have five buttons on your suit? And what
- 35:25Speaker 1: the hell you getting made for? Man?
- 35:29Speaker 11: That's crazy. I was dressed like Denzel when he first
- 35:32Speaker 11: got the hollow.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Come back.
- 35:39Speaker 7: Too much time for one black man.

- 39:37Speaker 2: It was their first debate. It was there one and
- 39:39Speaker 2: only debate. This is the last debate period before the election.
- 39:44Speaker 2: It was a vice presidential debate. I'm just gonna go
- 39:47Speaker 2: out on a limb here and say Governor Tim Waltz
- 39:50Speaker 2: won last night. He won, he won, he won. Yeah, Yes, I'm.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Gonna go out on the limb.
- 39:57Speaker 4: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this
- 39:58Speaker 4: was the most boring, uh history.
- 40:04Speaker 17: Yeah, it was boring, but these are some things that
- 40:07Speaker 17: we have to remember. What's on the ballot. Women's rights,
- 40:11Speaker 17: women's productive rights. You got to remember what's on the ballot.
- 40:14Speaker 17: And JD Vance the way he talked, he lied about
- 40:19Speaker 17: a lot of things.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And I loved how Wats called him out to check them.
- 40:23Speaker 17: He checked him about the Haitian statement that he made
- 40:26Speaker 17: about eating dogs and all that. Yeah, how little girls
- 40:31Speaker 17: had to be escorted by the police.
- 40:33Speaker 2: To schools because they were that's your.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Home state, sir, that is your home state, JD. Van So.
- 40:38Speaker 17: I loved how he checked him on that. I love
- 40:40Speaker 17: how he told him that Trump said that climate control
- 40:44Speaker 17: was a hoax, right, yeah, because they were talking about
- 40:47Speaker 17: hurricane and Hurricane Helena.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Yeah, all of these things.
- 40:51Speaker 7: So let's go.
- 40:52Speaker 1: The energy is there.
- 40:54Speaker 17: We got work to do. This is not a drill, Steve.
- 40:56Speaker 17: We keep telling people to get to the polls and.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Vote, and it's it's go to you gotta register. We

- 41:13Speaker 1: I wasn't here to see it because where I am.
- 41:15Speaker 1: But those of you that saw the debate, I mean, look, man,
- 41:18Speaker 1: the decision is clear. Let's go. Yeah, we only have
- 41:21Speaker 1: thirty some days left. Let's go. It's serious now, it
- 41:24Speaker 1: is really, really serious.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I remember this JD Vance.
- 41:27Speaker 17: He said last night too on the debate, the debate
- 41:30Speaker 17: that he wouldn't support a national federal ban on abortion.
- 41:35Speaker 17: But back in twenty twenty two he said he would
- 41:40Speaker 17: he would support that. So he's a lot, y'all gotta
- 41:42Speaker 17: watch him.
- 41:43Speaker 1: He's slip.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Well, he said he didn't like Trump, and now he's
- 41:47Speaker 2: the baby you know, right, Yeah, that's your boy. A

- 42:36Speaker 1: these issues they trying to make. Let me tell you something.
- 42:39Speaker 1: The Republicans are not going to close the border because
- 42:43Speaker 1: they can't. If Republicans close the border, all their big

- 42:54Speaker 1: you close the border, how you gonna get them cars across?
- 42:58Speaker 1: A thirty thousand dollars a car now will cost you
- 43:01Speaker 1: seventy eight thousand dollars if you close the border. What

- 54:07Speaker 4: Buckle up and hold on time. We got it, tol
- 54:09Speaker 4: you here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Thank you nephew. Subject he risked it all for one
- 54:15Speaker 2: night with her. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm dating a man
- 54:19Speaker 2: that was married. When I met him. He was going
- 54:21Speaker 2: through a hard divorce, so I allowed him to vent
- 54:24Speaker 2: and even cry sometimes because he was going through it.
- 54:28Speaker 2: I loved how he never said anything negative about his
- 54:31Speaker 2: ex wife. I felt like she had to be an
- 54:33Speaker 2: evil person because of how bad the divorce was. I
- 54:37Speaker 2: finally talked to her for the first time, and she's
- 54:40Speaker 2: far from evil. But first, let me tell you what happened.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Two weekends ago. I went to Dallas for the day
- 54:46Speaker 2: and I drove back home that same night. My boyfriend
- 54:49Speaker 2: said he was out watching the game. He sent me
- 54:52Speaker 2: a text that said he wanted to see me before
- 54:55Speaker 2: I left, and another one that said please, please please.
- 54:59Speaker 2: I was back home by then, so I texted him
- 55:02Speaker 2: and told him I was home in bed, and I
- 55:03Speaker 2: asked him to come over. He didn't respond. Never in
- 55:07Speaker 2: my wildest dreams would I have thought that his texts
- 55:11Speaker 2: were not for me. Supposedly, he was trying to text
- 55:14Speaker 2: his ex wife, not me. Now fast forward to yesterday,
- 55:18Speaker 2: when his ex wife called me. She said she got
- 55:21Speaker 2: my number from my boyfriend's phone. She was very pleasant
- 55:24Speaker 2: and complimentary, and she said she follows me on Instagram.
- 55:28Speaker 2: She said she got married two weeks ago in Virginia
- 55:31Speaker 2: and my boyfriend called her millions of times before she
- 55:35Speaker 2: left town for her wedding. She said he begged to
- 55:38Speaker 2: make love to her one more time, and she sent
- 55:41Speaker 2: me the text threat to prove it. His text said
- 55:44Speaker 2: that he'd risk it all just to have one more
- 55:47Speaker 2: night with her. She said they did have sex that night,
- 55:50Speaker 2: and she felt that I should know, so I can
- 55:53Speaker 2: only assume that he's still in love with her. My
- 55:55Speaker 2: boyfriend denied everything, even the texts. For the first time ever,
- 56:00Speaker 2: he said he hates her. Should I believe his ex
- 56:04Speaker 2: or not? I don't know who you should believe. I
- 56:07Speaker 2: really don't. I mean, she has absolutely no reason to
- 56:11Speaker 2: call you with this story. And then again, if it's true,
- 56:14Speaker 2: your boyfriend had every reason to lie to you. I
- 56:17Speaker 2: mean he got caught, so then he had to lie,
- 56:19Speaker 2: like Steve always says, because he could now lose you.
- 56:23Speaker 2: But this, I don't know. This sounds crazy to me.
- 56:26Speaker 2: It sounds kind of like revenge or something, because for
- 56:30Speaker 2: what reason. I just can't think of a reason why
- 56:33Speaker 2: she would waste her time running back to you and snitching.
- 56:36Speaker 2: The ex wife did not have to tell you this.
- 56:39Speaker 2: She's with her new husband now they're married. So what
- 56:42Speaker 2: difference does it make for you? Know, if she's honest
- 56:45Speaker 2: with you, she doesn't even know you. Is she trying
- 56:48Speaker 2: to do you a solid or something? You know, by
- 56:50Speaker 2: letting you know what kind of man you're with? Why
- 56:53Speaker 2: can't she just go on be happy with her new husband.
- 56:55Speaker 2: I just again say, she didn't have to tell you
- 56:57Speaker 2: that she slept with her ex. You're a man. She
- 57:00Speaker 2: said she got your number from her ex's phone, so
- 57:03Speaker 2: she had his phone. She could have sent the text
- 57:05Speaker 2: messages herself. I don't know. My question is why does
- 57:08Speaker 2: she have to sing you and her ex on the
- 57:10Speaker 2: way out. She was risking it all too, I mean,
- 57:13Speaker 2: she had a lot to lose. You guys could have
- 57:15Speaker 2: gone back and told her it just reeks. I don't
- 57:17Speaker 2: know of her trying to get back at her ex
- 57:20Speaker 2: one last dig on the way out. I don't know Steve.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Shirley, Shirley shoe yes, girl, girl, girl. See the problem,
- 57:31Speaker 1: Shirley is you keep trying to give people the benefit
- 57:37Speaker 1: of the doubt. You being a kind hearted person, try
- 57:43Speaker 1: to find the good in everybody. I, on the other hand, no,
- 57:48Speaker 1: most people ain't sugar honey iced tea. And I just
- 57:51Speaker 1: go on and get to the point. Why are we
- 57:54Speaker 1: playing around right here? Because I see what's happening in
- 57:57Speaker 1: this letter. Charlie. You almost saw it. You almost saw it,
- 58:03Speaker 1: but the good person in you just won't let you
- 58:07Speaker 1: believe it. Well, see, there's a side of me that
- 58:11Speaker 1: I do believe that fat meat is greasy. That's the difference.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I'm dating to a man that was married when I
- 58:19Speaker 1: met him. He's going through a hard divorce, so illed
- 58:22Speaker 1: him to vent even cry sometime. Then she said, and
- 58:25Speaker 1: this is key, I loved how he never said anything
- 58:30Speaker 1: negative about his wife. Keep that in mind. That's number one.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Then she said, I felt like she had to be
- 58:39Speaker 1: an evil because be an evil person. Let's keep that
- 58:44Speaker 1: in mind. That statement Number two and then she said,
- 58:47Speaker 1: I finally talked to her for the first time, and
- 58:49Speaker 1: she's far from evil. Oh how many times have you
- 58:53Speaker 1: talked to somebody you thought was wonderful only to find
- 58:57Speaker 1: out later that they wouldn't first time you talk to
- 59:01Speaker 1: most people they cool. It's them other conversations where you
- 59:05Speaker 1: say it's the discovery part of it. So let me
- 59:08Speaker 1: tell you what happened. Two weeks ago, I went to
- 59:10Speaker 1: Dallas for the day. I drove back home that same night.
- 59:13Speaker 1: My boyfriend said he was out watching the game. He
- 59:16Speaker 1: sent me a text that said he wanted to see
- 59:18Speaker 1: me before I left, and one that said please please
- 59:22Speaker 1: please not. Let's keep that in mind. The text that
- 59:26Speaker 1: said he wanted to see me before I left, that's
- 59:32Speaker 1: statement number three. Another one that said please please please
- 59:37Speaker 1: please please please please.
- 59:41Speaker 7: Do go baby.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I love your soul. So now we're begging. I was
- 59:49Speaker 1: back home by then, so I told him the text him.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I was home in bed asked him to come over.
- 59:54Speaker 1: He didn't respond. Never in my wildest dreams would I have
- 59:58Speaker 1: thought that his texts were not for me. Well, why
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: would you say that was not for you? Supposedly he
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: was trying to text his ex wife, not me. Now,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: fast forward to yesterday when his ex wife called me.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: She said, she got my number from my boyfriend's phone.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: You said in your letter, I finally talked to her
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: for the first time, and she's far from evil. But
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: that was right after you said like she has to
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: be an evil person. Now here come to evil ass person.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Hang on, she called me yesterday.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Show you all right, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Today's Strawberry letter subject he risted all for one night
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: with her. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:40Speaker 14: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: The subject is he risted all for one night with her?
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Yes, she did, and Shirley said she doesn't. And one
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: of the things you said in the letter Shirley was
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and you almost said it, you said, she doesn't have
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: a reason to do this. She doesn't have a reason
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to do this. But then you later on trying to
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: come back to that. Yeah, but listen to this though.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: See see here's the statements in the letter. The man
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: was going through divorce. It was hard when he was
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: crying and everything. But the lady said, I loved how
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: he never said anything negative about his ex wife. And
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: then the lady said, who wrote this letter? I felt
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: like she had to be an evil person because of
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: how the divorce was. That's a good sign. You find
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: out the true nature of person when it comes to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: money and division. But then when I talked to her
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: for the first time, she was far from evil. What happened, Well,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: let me tell you what happened. Two weeks ago, I
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: drove back home from Dallas. That same night, my boyfriend
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: said he was out watching the game. He sent me
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: a text and said he wanted to see me before
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I left. That's a direct text to her. She's got
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: a draw back to her other city. He said, I
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: want to see you before you leave. That's a direct
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: text to her. And another one that said please, please please. Well,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I got back home by the time he texted me,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and I told him I was in bed to ask
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: him to come over. Then he didn't respond. Never in
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: my wildless dreams, what I ever thought that his text
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: were not for me? Those texts them text was for you.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Now fast forward to yesterday, when his ex wife called me, Oh,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: you're talking about the person that ain't evil? Then you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: said after you talked to her, she's far from evil.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Now did she called you out the blue? And guess
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: what she called you? She said, she got my number
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: from my boyfriend's phone. What she doing in his phone?
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: That don't sound evil? And she was very pleasant and
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: complimentary and says she follows me on Instagram. You know
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: how many times people sugarcoat the truth, kind and compling.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I'll follow you on Instagram? Why are you following me?
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: What's up with you? You stalking? Yeah? She following you
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: because guess why? She said? She got married two weeks ago,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: and and my boyfriend called her millions of time before
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: she left town for her wedd She said he begged
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: to make love to her one more time, and she
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: sent me the text thread to prove it. But listen
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: to me, though that text thread don't say is from him,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: because all you can do is screenshot the text. You
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: can't the phone number ain't on that just days and times.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: So now listen to this game right here, said he
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: begged her to make love to her one more time.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: She sent me the text with his text said that
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: he'd risk it all just to have one more night
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: with her. He ain't the only person that to say
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: nothing like that, she said. Then she said they did
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: have sex that night. Hold ain't you just.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Not getting married exactly?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: And then you did have sex with him? And you
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: think she's a kind, good person and she got your
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: number out of her boyfriend's per phone. And Shirley said,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: she has no reason to do it. But listen to me,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: she has a reason to do it because she did it.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Never when a person does something, never say they have
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: no reason to do it because they done done it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: See once you do it, it ain't no needy you're talking
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: about it. I ain't had no reason. I just did No. No, no,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: you had a reason. His text said he risk at
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: all just having She said she didn't have She said
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: they did have sex that night, and she felt that
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I should know why why? Because she think she evil?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: That's what she is, scally wagg And then gonna sit
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: up and call you and just I felt like you
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: should know. Wait a minute, why you didn't feel like
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you shouldn't do it? Why you didn't feel like you
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: should be loyal to your fiance? Say who you was
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: fitting to marry? In a week. Why you didn't feel
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: like man, let me spare her this, Why you didn't
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: feel none of that goodness stuff you talking about now
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you're a Christian. I felt like
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: you should know. That's what's crazy to me, man. So
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I can only assume that he's still in love with her.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: She's married, she's gone. My boyfriend didn't hit on my
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: man right here, right here, come on, come through. Now
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: you'll go the whole letter for me. My boyfriend denied everything,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: even the text. For the first time ever, he said
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: he hates her. Should I believe his ex or not?
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: First of all, you needed what was the ex's purpose
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: for letting you know any of this? She felt that
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you should know. Wait a minute, why what happened? What
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: was the breakup about? What was the divorce? Because obviously
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he was heard about the divorce crying and stuff because
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: he didn't want to lose her for some reason. But
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: maybe it was something she did. This person you thought
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: was not evil, who I think it's nothing but pure evil.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: So I think what happened is she called you since
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: her marriage is messed up because she'd the violated her
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: or fiance and her wed in vials by sleeping with
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: your husband after he begged her, and nian thought she'd
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: call you out the goodness of her heart where it
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: was all this goodness when it was time to make
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: the decision not to sleep with him. So, lady, I
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: wouldn't believe the ex if I wish you, because she
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: had every reason to do that. She's got a bunch
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: of reasons, and she's evil, And who does that? If
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: your boyfriend was still in love with her? She been
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: married in Virginia for two weeks ago, and she called
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: you after that to tell you that she slept with
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: this dude but she married. Who do that? Yeah, that's
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: an evil, vindictive person that's not happy and don't want
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to see nobody else happy.

- 1:07:18Speaker 7: Well, we didn't had the first quarter of the NFL season.
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: It went by.
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: Let's just do a little first quarter on how we
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: feel these teams are doing just you know, two four weeks.
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: How do you feel about your team?
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: Let's talk with you. How do you feel about the Browns?
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: The Browns the same way I've been feeling one.
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: In three right now at the first same I've.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Been feeling hurt, disappointment, of emptiness. Now, no bidding, it's
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: just empty. Just it's been nineteen sixty fold you okay?
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: This last time they won a Super Bowl.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I saw it. I was seven years old, sitting on
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: refrigerator or against frigerator. Though watch my daddy watch Browns
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: beat Baltimore coach. I saw that. And I've never missed
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. I've never missed Super bowling. We ain't
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: never been in the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: All right, call, how do you feel about the Saints?
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: They two and two? How do you feel about the Saints? Shot?
- 1:08:14Speaker 17: My husband's so upset right now, he doesn't understand what
- 1:08:19Speaker 17: is going on.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: I just gotta roll with the Saints in my house.
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: Hunt that. Just be quiet and.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Get somewhere and sit down.
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: Yeah, tell you that. We gotta we got a different storytelling.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: We three feel good right now. I take that.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: We'll take you know, last time we've.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Been three and one man.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: It was Earl Campbell. Last time we three and one,
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: it was all us was.
- 1:08:42Speaker 8: We didn't have these uniforms las time we three all right,
- 1:08:47Speaker 8: but two underfeated teams left.
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: That's the Vikings and the Chiefs.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Yea.
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: Now do anybody the Super Bowl?
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: They barely four and oh they could have lost two
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: of them games.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: They could be over four. Honestly they could not.
- 1:09:04Speaker 12: They just not.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: Okay, this is gonna hurt you even more.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Up.
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: The Buccaneers are three and one with Baker Mayfield. Would
- 1:09:11Speaker 8: you take Baker back to the Brown right now?
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: See I never tried to get rid of Baker. I
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: was not pushing for the removal of Baker. The Browns
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: blew it when they didn't do what I told him
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: to do. In that draft, I said, I said, you
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: take you told take Saquon Barkley at number one. They
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: had the number one and the number three pick or
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: number one and number four pick. How many years ago
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: was that? What out on five? Four? But all they
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: had to do was take Saquon Barkley at number one. Yeah,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: they had all them quarterbacks and I told them to
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: pick Johns told the Brown because he played in cold
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: weather and he could throw the ball deep in. Take
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Josh out, Josh Ellen. We passed on Josh Allen and
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: picked Baker Mayfield. What scouting report was, they asked, God,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: oh yeah, do and look at the damn film down
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the interview. Baker was a better talker. Josh probably just stupid.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: That's all coming up.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: At the top of the hour, Man needs helped Steve
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: after a female neighbor knocked on his door. You're listening

- 1:20:30Speaker 2: right after this.
- 1:20:31Speaker 14: You're listening Morning Show.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: All right, guys, Here we are our last break of
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: the day. Before we get out of here and get
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: to Steve's closing remarks, we got to mention the death
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: of legendary actor John Amos. He has died at the
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: age of eighty four. He's best known to our generation,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: of course as James Evans on Good Times and notable
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: films like Roots and Coming to America. Our condolences to
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: his family and to his friends. Our ip John Amos.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, you know. And in light of that, let
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: me my clothes and remarks are kind of like yesterday.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: You know, I was talking about manhood, and I want
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: to be perfectly clear about something. Like I said yesterday,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I'm not a spokesperson for black people, but I but
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I am an expert at manhood and the type of
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: men that I was talking to yesterday are men who
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: are like me. Because I know a lot of men
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: like me. As a matter of fact, that's who I
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: identify with. That's the type of man that identifies with me.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: We are men, We are cut from the same cloth.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: You know, our faiths can vary, but but but our
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: compass for manhood is the exact same. And you know,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: we just men. Man. It's just stuff that men doing this,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: stuff that men don't do. And I'm sorry man, that
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: we live in a world now, man, where we try
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: to be accepting of everything that everybody want to do.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: That a person should have the freedom to do what
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: they want to do. What about the obligation to do
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: what you're supposed to do? What about that? We're always
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: talking about the freedom of doing what you want to do. Hey, man,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: doing what you want to do sometimes gets in the
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: way oftentimes of what you're supposed to do and what
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you gotta do. I want to be on vacation every day,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: but I gotta go to work. You see what happens
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: with that. You know, I would love to be lazy
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: and not perform my duties, but it's my job. It's
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: just my job as a man. Put your crown on, brothers,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: and be proud of that crown. It's nothing wrong with
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: wearing your crown. If you're trying to take care of
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: your family with your job, I don't care what your
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: position is or your income. If you are trying to
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: stand up and support your family, be that man and
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: take pride in that man. It's something to being a
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: man who a man to taking care of your family.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: It's something to that. Stop letting these people. Man who
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: got this new man? Woman gott to bring something to
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: the table. I ain't taking care of no woman. Where
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: your where it comes from? Where that comes from? I
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: tell you where it came from. Man, it come from
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: a lot of cats. Man not and have the proper
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: male role models in their life telling me and to
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: stand up and be men. Well, I'm just one that's
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: gonna say to the men like me man, I appreciate you.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: I appreciate you holding down the cold. I appreciate you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: standing strong. This ain't about no, no snitching or none
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: of that. That ain't what this is. I'm talking about manhood.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Real men go to work every day, Real men obey
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the law. Real men honor women, real men pray, Real
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: men love God. Real men take care of their children.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Real men respect women. That's what real men do. It's simple, man,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: it ain't that hard to figure it out. Stop letting
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: these cats in here swear you with all these different opinions.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: And it's a lot of men like me, and I'm
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: just talking to the ones that's like me. I don't
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: get it. I ain't gotta get it. As a matter
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: of fact, Can I be real clear? I don't want
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: to get it. I don't want my hand looking like
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: my wife's hand. I don't want my toes looking like
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: my wife's toes. Then at the same time, I don't
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: want my wife hand looking like mine. I don't want
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: a the sheet to come up at the foot of
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: the bed and her foot looked like my foot. I
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: don't want that. Man, what happened to that? Do you know?
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: It's okay to be strong with that? It's nothing wrong.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: We want to be that kind of man. I ain't
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: got to be open to everything you want. But man,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: why though when I know full well I can't. It's
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: that's a heavy load, bro. Where we going? Who tied
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: of wearing pants? But see, that's what's wrong though. That's
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: what's wrong because it's symbolic of everything else that's wrong.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: It's who where to pass in your family. You know.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: It's when don't nobody care about that no more? Who
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: the head of your household. It's when people don't care
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: about that no more. Now, I don't mean that to
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: sound sexist, but if you marry a woman and she
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: takes your last name, there's an important marriage there. There's
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: a thing there with taking that last name. It's an
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: honor thing, but it comes with a responsibility. If you
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: ask a woman to take your last name, you don't
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: think you're supposed to take care of her. You don't.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: You don't think. You don't think that's your obligation. It is.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: It's your obligation as men. I'm sorry, brothers, and I
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: got to keep saying it to you, man, because in
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: case you ain't heard it, listen to somebody who had
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: a father for forty years, who had a grandfather, who
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: got two big brothers, my youngest brother eleven years older
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: than me. I ain't seen nothing but me and I
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: still got my uncle Donald in my life. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: I know me and men that worked hard for their families,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: man that provided that sacrifice stuff of their own so
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: they family could have something. I watched my father make
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: sure I had everything I needed, not everything I wanted.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Everything I needed food, shelter, clothing. He took care of him.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Now I wanted some extra. I had to get a job.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: You want to bike, that's cool, pimp. You gotta go
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: get a job by your bike, or you gotta do
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: some extra choice around the house. That's how I was raised.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I'm not getting off mine and I appreciate all the
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: men out theirs that ain't getting off theirs. Man, congratulations,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: because manhood is still alive. Chivalry is not dead. Now
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: are those of us who will carry that banner. And
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: I'm proud of those men like that talking about you
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: high fashion, I ain't none of that. Feel how you
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: want to feel about me, But when you get through,
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: there's not that. At the end of the day, you're
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: talking to a grown ass man. And don't run over
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: here because I do not want to show it to you.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Leave me alone with a little glass of Scotch my cigars.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Leave me alone. I ain't got no problem with you.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: You ain't got no problem with me. Y'all, have great
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: day today. Talk to God. He'd absolutely love to hear
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: from you. Man. I love being a man. I'm holding
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: on to mind.
