Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: You can't comprehend that cities and states would be so
- 0:06Speaker 1: demented to do something like this, to let these violent
- 0:10Speaker 1: criminals trenda. Agua is a terrorist organization. Cinelo is a
- 0:13Speaker 1: terrorist organization. MS thirteen is a terrorist organization.
- 0:17Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Good Thursday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:23Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update. Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:26Speaker 3: we have two major stories for you this morning coming
- 0:29Speaker 3: from the Trump administration. The Attorney General Pam Bondi and
- 0:33Speaker 3: the FBI Director Cash Patel announcing the results of Operation
- 0:37Speaker 3: Restore Justice, a nationwide initiative targeting sex child predators. And
- 0:43Speaker 3: the big question is how are there so many people
- 0:46Speaker 3: to catch and why did the Democrats do nothing to
- 0:49Speaker 3: stop this when they were in charge. We'll have the
- 0:51Speaker 3: details on that story for you first. Also, in another
- 0:55Speaker 3: massive win, the cinelo At cartel was behind the largest
- 1:00Speaker 3: fetal seizure in US history, and the Trump administration is
- 1:04Speaker 3: letting Americans know to be careful of the pills on
- 1:08Speaker 3: the black market, as the cinelo At cartel is flooding
- 1:12Speaker 3: America at record rates with drugs that are killing Americans.
- 1:17Speaker 3: It's the forty seven Morning Updates, and it starts right now.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Story number one.
- 1:22Speaker 3: The question every American should be asking themselves right now
- 1:26Speaker 3: is this, Why did our federal government not act sooner?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Why did the Biden administration turn a blind eye on
- 1:35Speaker 3: purpose to the horrific activities that were happening in this
- 1:39Speaker 3: country that they knew about. Well, thank goodness, with Donald
- 1:42Speaker 3: Trump's leadership and the Attorney General Pam Bondi and the
- 1:45Speaker 3: FBI Director Caspitel, they have announced the results of Operation
- 1:50Speaker 3: Restore Justice, something that could have been done under the
- 1:54Speaker 3: last administration. It's a nationwide initiative targeting child sex predators.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Over a five day period, the operation led to the
- 2:03Speaker 3: arrest of two hundred and five individuals, and the most
- 2:06Speaker 3: heartbreaking part of all is the rescue of one hundred
- 2:10Speaker 3: and fifteen children across the United States of America. The
- 2:14Speaker 3: scope of the operation was incredible. The operation involved all
- 2:19Speaker 3: fifty five FBI field offices, the Department of Justice Child
- 2:24Speaker 3: Exploitation Section, and the US Attorney's offices nationwide. Again, why
- 2:30Speaker 3: did the Democrats and the Biden administration not protect these children?
- 2:34Speaker 3: There was also some shocking arrests, including a Minnesota state
- 2:38Speaker 3: trooper and an Army reservist that was arrested for allegedly
- 2:42Speaker 3: producing child sexual abuse material while in uniform. Also, a
- 2:47Speaker 3: former Metropolitan Police Department officer in Washington, d C. Previously
- 2:53Speaker 3: convicted of sex offenses was charged with exploiting additional victims
- 2:57Speaker 3: while on supervise release. And that's not all. An undocumented
- 3:02Speaker 3: individual from Mexico was arrested in Virginia for allegedly transporting
- 3:07Speaker 3: a minor across state lines for sexual purposes. I go
- 3:10Speaker 3: back to the original question, why did our federal government
- 3:14Speaker 3: and the Biden administration purposely look the other way while
- 3:17Speaker 3: they knew this was going on. Luckily, Pam Bondi, the
- 3:21Speaker 3: Attorney General, had this to say about the operation.
- 3:24Speaker 1: What I will tell you is these depraved human beings.
- 3:28Speaker 1: If convicted, we'll face the maximum penalty in prison some life.
- 3:34Speaker 1: We will find you, we will arrest you, and we
- 3:37Speaker 1: will charge you. If you are online targeting a child,
- 3:41Speaker 1: you will not escape us. The FBI and the Department
- 3:45Speaker 1: of Justice will come after you and we will prosecute you.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Parents.
- 3:50Speaker 1: You have to know this is so serious. Your child
- 3:53Speaker 1: has no right to privacy on the Internet none. You
- 3:57Speaker 1: have to monitor what your kids doing, whether they're playing
- 4:02Speaker 1: games on the internet, on social media, any other websites
- 4:06Speaker 1: that children teenagers frequent, an online predator can find them.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I always say it's from instant message to instant nightmare.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Parents.
- 4:17Speaker 1: They're talking to your kids like their other children, and
- 4:20Speaker 1: they're not.
- 4:21Speaker 4: They're predators.
- 4:22Speaker 1: They pose as children, They get them sometimes to post
- 4:26Speaker 1: explicit pictures of themselves after they talk to them, and
- 4:30Speaker 1: then in some cases they even try to blackmail the children.
- 4:33Speaker 1: The suicide rate among teens ages fourteen to seventeen has
- 4:39Speaker 1: increased as a result of this as well, because teens
- 4:43Speaker 1: are taken advantage of and they're manipulated online by child predators.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So all of you being here today and covering this
- 4:51Speaker 1: is so important because parents need to know you've got
- 4:55Speaker 1: to talk to your kids. They think they're talking to
- 4:57Speaker 1: other children, but most of the time they're not.
- 5:01Speaker 3: And that's not all A major warning coming from the
- 5:04Speaker 3: FBI director Cash P.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Tell Is.
- 5:07Speaker 3: He highlighted the operations message, making it clear we're coming
- 5:11Speaker 3: for you if you are harming children. Here's what he
- 5:14Speaker 3: had to say, as well.
- 5:16Speaker 5: As the FBI director, I'm humbled to leave some of
- 5:18Speaker 5: the greatest men and women in law enforcement.
- 5:21Speaker 4: And I want to.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Thank our fifty five field offices, our ninety plus United
- 5:24Speaker 5: States Attorney's offices, ours Section, our crim Division here at
- 5:28Speaker 5: the Department of Justice, and our field offices throughout the country,
- 5:32Speaker 5: with lawyers and prosecutors and agents working tirelessly on some
- 5:36Speaker 5: of the harshest criminality we've ever seen. They don't take
- 5:39Speaker 5: breaks because our children deserve a free and open society.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I also want to just take a moment.
- 5:48Speaker 5: To emphasize the priority of this Department of Justice and
- 5:52Speaker 5: this FBI our children. If you harm our children, you
- 5:57Speaker 5: will be given no sanctuary.
- 5:59Speaker 4: There is no place we will not come to hunt
- 6:01Speaker 4: you down.
- 6:02Speaker 5: There is no place we will not look for you,
- 6:04Speaker 5: and there is no cage we will not put you
- 6:07Speaker 5: in should you do harm to our children. The prioritization
- 6:11Speaker 5: of this administration in general, BONDI, has made it abundantly
- 6:14Speaker 5: clear to child predators you will be hunted down and
- 6:18Speaker 5: you will be prosecuted. And that is a refreshing thing
- 6:22Speaker 5: to hear for the men and women who do this
- 6:24Speaker 5: work tirelessly, and it's also an acknowledgement of the safety
- 6:28Speaker 5: that we look forward to bringing America. As the Attorney
- 6:31Speaker 5: General mentioned, there are a couple of cases worth highlighting.
- 6:36Speaker 5: People in places of public trust have violated not only
- 6:41Speaker 5: the law, but that public trust, to include teachers, law
- 6:45Speaker 5: enforcement personnel, and other professionals that we look to safeguard
- 6:51Speaker 5: our children have not only violated the law, but violated
- 6:54Speaker 5: the trust. In Minneapolis, defended Jeremy Francis Plonsky, a Minneapolis
- 6:59Speaker 5: State true and former Army reservedis, was arrested for producing
- 7:03Speaker 5: child sexual abuse material while in uniform.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Not anymore. In Norfolk, Virginia, defendant.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Jose Alexis Valdez Sosa, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, again
- 7:14Speaker 5: allegedly arrested for transporting a minor across state lines.
- 7:18Speaker 4: No more.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Another example right here in Washington, d C. And the
- 7:22Speaker 5: Metropolitan Police Department officer Lynnwood Barnhill, a former already convicted
- 7:28Speaker 5: sex offender, was arrested again for exploiting more victims, more
- 7:32Speaker 5: children while on supervise release. These are just three examples
- 7:37Speaker 5: that show you the extent and the depravity of these
- 7:41Speaker 5: horrific crimes, and we need to team up together with
- 7:44Speaker 5: the American public to find the rest. I want to
- 7:47Speaker 5: give a special thanks to the National Center for Missing
- 7:49Speaker 5: and Exploited Children for the tireless work they do in
- 7:52Speaker 5: partnering with us. And again I want to thank the
- 7:54Speaker 5: Department of Justice and all these folks here and Pam,
- 7:57Speaker 5: thank you for never wavering to defend our time.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Now this operation is not over. It is part of
- 8:03Speaker 3: Project's Safe Childhood. It's a DOJ initiative launch to make
- 8:08Speaker 3: sure that we combat child sexual exportation and abuse. The
- 8:12Speaker 3: DOJ is collaborating with the National Center for Missing and
- 8:15Speaker 3: Exploited Children and they are encouraging you the public to
- 8:19Speaker 3: report suspected exploitation through established hotlines and online reporting tools.
- 8:26Speaker 3: One thing is for sure, the Trump administration is not
- 8:30Speaker 3: going to turn a blind eye to this and they
- 8:32Speaker 3: are going after these predators wherever they are.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Next story number two, the.
- 8:36Speaker 3: White House has made it very clear that when it
- 8:38Speaker 3: comes to law and order, they are a full court
- 8:42Speaker 3: press and a team that is working together, whether it's
- 8:45Speaker 3: the Attorney General's Office, the FBI, and local law enforcement.
- 8:49Speaker 3: And now we have the largest fentanyl seizure in US history,
- 8:54Speaker 3: tied to the Sinaloa drug cartel. The Attorney General coming
- 8:59Speaker 3: out and sang a sell of the Cinela Cartel operated
- 9:02Speaker 3: in four major US cities. The cartel conducted a large
- 9:06Speaker 3: scale drug distribution operation throughout the western part of the
- 9:10Speaker 3: country that led federal authorities to the largest fetanyl seizure ever.
- 9:15Speaker 3: There was an illegal alien from Mexico that led the
- 9:18Speaker 3: group in the US, and the group ran one of
- 9:20Speaker 3: the largest fetanyl and drug distribution networks the country has
- 9:24Speaker 3: ever seen. Documents from the US Department of Justice are
- 9:27Speaker 3: now revealing the Cinela cartel boss running this fetanyl empire
- 9:32Speaker 3: as it was described today from Oregon that she tells
- 9:36Speaker 3: you everything you need to know. Oregon sanctuary policies kept
- 9:41Speaker 3: this man safe. Pambondi making it clear in her statements
- 9:46Speaker 3: that this is a problem and it's taking the lives
- 9:49Speaker 3: of countless Americans. The number one killer of fetanol in
- 9:53Speaker 3: this country as those between the ages of eighteen and
- 9:56Speaker 3: thirty four. And she had a warning for the American
- 9:59Speaker 3: pe to tell your kids and your grandkids about fake
- 10:04Speaker 3: pills that are hitting the markets at record pace.
- 10:07Speaker 1: The DEA seized eleven point five kilos of fentanyl, including
- 10:14Speaker 1: an astounding approximately three million fentanyl pills, the largest seizure
- 10:21Speaker 1: in our nation's history. These are the pills in the
- 10:24Speaker 1: bags right there, the main bottom right.
- 10:28Speaker 4: The head of.
- 10:29Speaker 1: This organization, Sinaloa organization here in the country illegally. Six
- 10:34Speaker 1: of these guys in women here in the country illegally.
- 10:38Speaker 1: His name is Alberto Salazar Amaya. He is the leader
- 10:42Speaker 1: and he was living in Salem, Oregon.
- 10:45Speaker 4: With him.
- 10:46Speaker 1: They got millions of dollars cash, cars, but the drugs
- 10:50Speaker 1: were in Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Utah. That's how insulated these
- 10:56Speaker 1: drug dealer cartel leaders make themselves. This was an incredible
- 11:02Speaker 1: operation and that's why I wanted all of you here
- 11:05Speaker 1: behind me. It took months and months of work, investigation
- 11:10Speaker 1: leading up to smaller buys, smaller cases to get this
- 11:15Speaker 1: massive amount of drugs and guns off our streets. Five
- 11:20Speaker 1: million dollars approximately in cash, thirty five kilos of metha amphetamine,
- 11:26Speaker 1: thirty five kilos of meth, seven point five kilos of cocaine,
- 11:31Speaker 1: four point five kilos of heroin, forty nine rifles and
- 11:35Speaker 1: pistols all shown in the pictures. And then of course
- 11:38Speaker 1: the three million pills. These pills were stamped as oxycodone.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Let that sink in three million pills going on our streets,
- 11:50Speaker 1: three million pills the streets of our country laced with
- 11:54Speaker 1: fentanyl labeled as oxycodone, and they were in all different
- 11:59Speaker 1: strengths of fentanyl within them. This operation was made possible
- 12:04Speaker 1: by over fifty five thousand hours of law enforcement investigation.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And this is a really dangerous job that these DEA
- 12:14Speaker 1: agents face every day, but they are getting very dangerous
- 12:19Speaker 1: drugs off of our streets each day.
- 12:22Speaker 3: As Pambondi said, this is historic drug seizure led by
- 12:26Speaker 3: the DEA is a significant blow against the Cineloa cartel
- 12:30Speaker 3: that removes poison from our streets and protects American citizens
- 12:34Speaker 3: from the scourge of fetnyl. The Attorney General also making
- 12:39Speaker 3: it clear that she has the Trump administration behind her,
- 12:42Speaker 3: saying that we must continue to fight these cartels that
- 12:46Speaker 3: have been declared by Donald Trump a terrorist organization, a
- 12:50Speaker 3: designation that should have been done years ago by the
- 12:53Speaker 3: Biden administration, but instead Democrats are giving them sanctuary in
- 12:58Speaker 3: their cities.
