- 1:44Speaker 1: her Erelanda Adams handbags, her Eulanda Adams bath and beauty line.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Please welcome back to Money Making Conversations, my friend Landa Adams. Hello, Well,
- 1:55Speaker 1: we're happy to have you on the show, and my
- 1:58Speaker 1: listeners love you. They they the ones that don't know
- 2:02Speaker 1: you become fans of yours and uh and just show
- 2:05Speaker 1: you how much I you know, we want to talk
- 2:07Speaker 1: about Delonda Adams handbag in a minute. But this week,
- 2:10Speaker 1: every nine Am I sent my my newsletter out to
- 2:14Speaker 1: my fans. I got over ninety thousand fan club members
- 2:17Speaker 1: and your and your link was the most clicked link
- 2:22Speaker 1: in the newsletter. And for the handbags. And they're beautiful too,
- 2:26Speaker 1: by the way, there are amazing handbags. Tell us about
- 2:29Speaker 1: that right quick.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Well, first of all, you know, I am a girly girl.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I grew up with a girly girl as a mom,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and a girly girl is a grandmom. So my grandma's
- 2:40Speaker 2: were girly girls. So uh, we always met the handbags,
- 2:46Speaker 2: the scarves, the gloves, the shoes, everything was you know,
- 2:51Speaker 2: you had a you had a specific thing that with
- 2:55Speaker 2: a specific thing. And you know, the the older I got,
- 3:00Speaker 2: the more prosperous I got. I was able to buy
- 3:02Speaker 2: some things that you know, cost a little money. And
- 3:05Speaker 2: then I'm started figuring, I'm like, no, wait a minute,
- 3:08Speaker 2: I'm given all these people all this money. What about
- 3:13Speaker 2: my fans? Because people always ask me who are you wearing?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Who is that buy? And I started thinking, now my
- 3:22Speaker 2: fans can't buy a All of my fans, I'll say,
- 3:27Speaker 2: can't buy a six hundred dollars bag. But what if
- 3:31Speaker 2: I could give them the same quality and the same fashion,
- 3:38Speaker 2: the same design, the same classic styles at a fraction
- 3:43Speaker 2: of the price, and then they could take a piece
- 3:46Speaker 2: of Yolanda home with them or you know, ship it
- 3:48Speaker 2: to a loved one or whatever. And that's pretty much
- 3:51Speaker 2: how it happened. And of course, you know, we are
- 3:54Speaker 2: surrounded by amazing people who do all types of things.
- 3:58Speaker 2: You know, there's no sense of me trying to reinvent
- 4:01Speaker 2: the wheel if someone has already done it. And that's
- 4:06Speaker 2: one that's one of the things that you have taught
- 4:08Speaker 2: so well. When you know someone who does something, merge
- 4:12Speaker 2: with them, you know, uh, you know, do a joint
- 4:15Speaker 2: venture or something like that with them so that you
- 4:19Speaker 2: come you both come out on top, right. And we
- 4:23Speaker 2: talked to the manufacturer and they were like, oh, of course,
- 4:25Speaker 2: we love you and we think that that would be
- 4:28Speaker 2: a we would have a great synergy there, because synergy
- 4:31Speaker 2: is very important. You know, both sides are doing something
- 4:39Speaker 2: that makes both of them happy and making money at
- 4:42Speaker 2: the same time.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It really is about that. You know. Let's let's talk
- 4:45Speaker 1: about the collection, because I got it pulled off, because
- 4:48Speaker 1: I got I got six sisters and I'm gonna buy
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna buy I'm gonna tell you somebody I didn't.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I just want to announce you you will get a
- 4:57Speaker 1: little little surge from the McDonald now because the clutters
- 5:02Speaker 1: are outstanding, the cross bodies outstanding, the everything bag is outstanding,
- 5:07Speaker 1: the leather handbags, the oh the neon bags are beautiful,
- 5:11Speaker 1: you know, and the toach, the shoulder bags, the satchels.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It's just the wallets. It's just how much involvement that
- 5:18Speaker 1: you have in the whole putting together the collection. Yolanda, Well,
- 5:22Speaker 1: here's the thing.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I'm always hands on because I want no Number one.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I want to know what my customer is getting right.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That's the first thing. They will never put out a
- 5:33Speaker 2: product that I don't use and carry myself. When you
- 5:38Speaker 2: see me show up to anything, whether it's a red
- 5:41Speaker 2: carpet or whatever, if I have a bag in my hand,
- 5:44Speaker 2: it's a YA bag.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Love that Ya bag. I love that.
- 5:49Speaker 2: There you go, see me going to church, it's the
- 5:52Speaker 2: YA bag. If you see me, you know, out having
- 5:55Speaker 2: dinner with a bag. And again, I know that the
- 6:00Speaker 2: quality of these bags are so amazing because these the
- 6:04Speaker 2: manufacturer is the same guy who does bags for Burgdoff
- 6:10Speaker 2: does bags for Macy's and Bloomingdale's and all of those places,
- 6:15Speaker 2: So that was definitely important to me. Next was the
- 6:20Speaker 2: design and the fashion flair. Be on point with what's
- 6:25Speaker 2: out there right now, because I want anybody saying, well,
- 6:29Speaker 2: you know, I like her bags, but you know they're
- 6:31Speaker 2: like about you know, would or nice in the nineties. No, no, no,
- 6:37Speaker 2: we are on par with what happens during fashion Week
- 6:41Speaker 2: every twice a year, so you'll you'll never see you know,
- 6:47Speaker 2: unless it's a classic bag like the tailor bag, like
- 6:50Speaker 2: the Boss Lady bag that you know, those are classics
- 6:54Speaker 2: that can you can get them at any time. You know,
- 6:57Speaker 2: those are great. But I am not going to you know,
- 7:00Speaker 2: as flowers are in, Like, I am not going to
- 7:03Speaker 2: not have bags without flowers.
- 7:05Speaker 1: We know, the thank you. You know. Here's the beautiful
- 7:07Speaker 1: thing about I'm talking to Ulanda Adams. Everybody knows her
- 7:11Speaker 1: from her career as a singer, but I've known her
- 7:15Speaker 1: as a motivational person as an entrepreneur. That's the side
- 7:18Speaker 1: of her we always speak about when she comes on
- 7:20Speaker 1: one amazing conversation because of the fact that you know,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and I love when you throughout the word y a bag.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You know, that's that's that's branding to the max right there,
- 7:28Speaker 1: breaking it down, making the initials mean something, and like,
- 7:33Speaker 1: the quality is what I'm just looking at it because
- 7:36Speaker 1: of the fact that I know I can see you
- 7:39Speaker 1: walking with that bag and looking normal, looking like it's
- 7:43Speaker 1: part of your style. That's what I loved about it.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And that's why when I'm looking at it now, I'm
- 7:48Speaker 1: going wow, you know, but I don't feel like intimidated.
- 7:51Speaker 1: If a person who wasn't Eulanda Adams with this bag,
- 7:55Speaker 1: they would look natural and they would look dressed up
- 7:57Speaker 1: or depending on what they want to want to satural
- 7:59Speaker 1: they want the water they want while they want to
- 8:01Speaker 1: shoulder bag, door throw over all these different options really
- 8:04Speaker 1: makes for like a people, A person really can actually
- 8:08Speaker 1: buy the collection.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yes, they actually can. Yeah, and it's reasonable enough that
- 8:14Speaker 2: you can buy more than one. And it's you know,
- 8:18Speaker 2: if you want the higher end bag, we have those,
- 8:21Speaker 2: but we I refuse to make them higher than you know,
- 8:26Speaker 2: a certain amount, because you know, I just think I
- 8:31Speaker 2: want to be cognizant of where everyone is in their
- 8:34Speaker 2: life and so where a person cannot afford a thousand
- 8:38Speaker 2: dollars bag, a five hundred dollars bag, a two hundred
- 8:41Speaker 2: dollars bag. They can go to the website and they
- 8:44Speaker 2: can They can look at it and say, whoa this is?
- 8:47Speaker 2: This bag looks similar to that twelve hundred dollars bag.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Right and look at good looking.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Good yes, and nobody would know the difference.
- 8:58Speaker 1: The thing about it is that that's why when I
- 9:01Speaker 1: brought to on the show, I want to make sure
- 9:02Speaker 1: people know I'm engaged. I'm not just bringing you on
- 9:04Speaker 1: the show to talk about it. And I like to
- 9:06Speaker 1: believe I grew up with six sisters. You know, I
- 9:09Speaker 1: have a sense of that fashion of what my sisters
- 9:13Speaker 1: wore or ware, and I've been in the entertainment business
- 9:15Speaker 1: of a sense of what that price line that you
- 9:17Speaker 1: and then then I've entertained everyday people and that's what
- 9:20Speaker 1: this calls about, everyday people being able to reach it
- 9:23Speaker 1: to their budget. But when you go to the website,
- 9:26Speaker 1: when you go to that and watch these bags, you're
- 9:28Speaker 1: gonna buy something. I'm gonna tell you, if you don't
- 9:30Speaker 1: want to buy something, don't go to the website because
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's gonna pull you in like they pull your boy in.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And now I'm six deep with my sisters, here's.
- 9:39Speaker 2: One of the things that you have always been so
- 9:41Speaker 2: brilliant in and you've always taught me that you always
- 9:47Speaker 2: find the price point that thatches the people who follow you.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You know, I.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Love ten thousand dollars bags. I don't own a ten
- 9:58Speaker 2: thousand dollars bags. I think that, you know, I'd rather
- 10:01Speaker 2: have ten thousand dollars worth of stock, right right, right.
- 10:06Speaker 2: But you know, my thing is how many of my
- 10:11Speaker 2: fans and family as I call them, would really invest
- 10:15Speaker 2: because that's an investment in ten thousand dollars as opposed
- 10:19Speaker 2: to let's say, sixty nine to ninety nine.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Absolutely, absolutely, I have to agree. And long as you're
- 10:26Speaker 1: going to stop people like people out that buying these knockoffs,
- 10:30Speaker 1: you're spending more on bad knockoffs than you would for
- 10:34Speaker 1: a quality YA bag.
- 10:37Speaker 2: There you go, There you go. And you've always taught
- 10:40Speaker 2: there's more security in numbers than just the you know,
- 10:45Speaker 2: the branding, and we know branding is awesome. We know that, yes, yes,
- 10:51Speaker 2: I would rather have I would rather sell ten thousand
- 10:56Speaker 2: Ya bags at their price than to sell two at
- 11:01Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars.
- 11:02Speaker 1: There you go, there you go. We're on the same page.
- 11:04Speaker 1: With Money Making Conversation. Speaking of Yourlanda Adams London. Let
- 11:07Speaker 1: me describe this. We're going to transition to a next
- 11:10Speaker 1: product that she's she's out there selling us an entrepreneur
- 11:13Speaker 1: over the years. It's called Simply Yolanda. It's a bath
- 11:17Speaker 1: and body collection. Let me read this. Through the creation
- 11:19Speaker 1: of the Simply Eulanda collection, she aims to improve the
- 11:23Speaker 1: lives of others by improving the skin through products from
- 11:26Speaker 1: high quality, not what I say high quality in greenings,
- 11:30Speaker 1: as Landa says, my passion for creating this line stems
- 11:32Speaker 1: from the same passion I possess when creating music. Is
- 11:36Speaker 1: all about being spiritually, emotionally and physically. Well.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Please don't go anywhere. We'll be right back with more
- 11:43Speaker 3: Money Making Conversations Masterclass. Welcome back to the Money Making
- 11:51Speaker 3: Conversations master Class, hosted by Rishan McDonald.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Balance, you have to have balance in your life.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Our our largest organs, there's our skin, and it's usually
- 12:05Speaker 2: the part of us that we do not take care
- 12:08Speaker 2: of the most right, you know, and that's from the
- 12:11Speaker 2: top of your head to the soles of your feet,
- 12:13Speaker 2: as they say in the church.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Absolutely absolutely, you know, it's really about you know, we
- 12:18Speaker 1: spend a lot of money when it's too late for
- 12:20Speaker 1: our skin, you know. And and one of the things
- 12:24Speaker 1: I want to talk about for some reason. Early on,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and when I was in high school, I you know,
- 12:28Speaker 1: I understood my face, so I understood you know, all
- 12:31Speaker 1: these skin understood, you know, poores and getting dirt out
- 12:36Speaker 1: of my poors, washing with cold water, washing with warm water.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Warm water opens your pores, cold water ice closes your pores.
- 12:43Speaker 1: And it starts with care, and it starts with spending time.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And again we come into a product bathroom, your bathroom
- 12:49Speaker 1: body collection where guess what the price point is very reasonable?
- 12:53Speaker 1: Talk about that.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing. As I got older, I realized
- 12:58Speaker 2: that my skin and my body were changing. You know me,
- 13:03Speaker 2: I am a health nut. I have always taken care
- 13:06Speaker 2: of myself nutritionally, spiritually, and physically. And I found that
- 13:12Speaker 2: the products that I was using they were costing a
- 13:17Speaker 2: lot of money, and I was not seeing the results
- 13:19Speaker 2: that I wanted. So I got with a friend of
- 13:23Speaker 2: ours and I said, you know what, I've been thinking
- 13:27Speaker 2: really hard about creating my own bath and bodyline. You know,
- 13:30Speaker 2: that was what we had the kindles at first, and
- 13:33Speaker 2: it was like, oh my gosh, if you do that,
- 13:35Speaker 2: I will be a part of your teens. And we
- 13:40Speaker 2: got with a scientist who was privy to some of
- 13:45Speaker 2: the really higher in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals and skin suticals
- 13:54Speaker 2: and all of those things that nurture the skin, and
- 13:57Speaker 2: I told them, hey, this is the thing that we
- 13:59Speaker 2: have to do. We have to cleanse the skin, but
- 14:02Speaker 2: we have to leave a seal of moisture in there
- 14:05Speaker 2: so people don't have to continually use the souf flay,
- 14:10Speaker 2: you know, over and over and over again during the day.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Because people don't have that kind of time. They get
- 14:15Speaker 2: in the shower, they get out of the shower moisturized,
- 14:18Speaker 2: they're headed to work or headed to wherever they're going
- 14:21Speaker 2: to life go. And so you know, I know all
- 14:26Speaker 2: these influencers are doing a lot of things right now.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I mean, but they're at home in front of cameras.
- 14:31Speaker 2: So there are real people, more than eight billion in
- 14:35Speaker 2: the world, that have a whole bunch to do that
- 14:40Speaker 2: really don't have that kind of time. And I said,
- 14:43Speaker 2: so I need I need a body wash. I need
- 14:46Speaker 2: a body soou fla, which is a moisturizer, and I
- 14:48Speaker 2: need a body oil because there are some people who
- 14:51Speaker 2: can't do you know, the soufla for whatever reason, but
- 14:55Speaker 2: they can do the oils. And I said, I definitely
- 14:59Speaker 2: need a price point where all my people can get it.
- 15:02Speaker 2: But it has to be so amazing that they'll come
- 15:07Speaker 2: back each and every time. And we have the love
- 15:10Speaker 2: and the chocolate that have been I mean, we've been
- 15:13Speaker 2: doing the body line since twenty twelve, right, we.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Know it's really interesting because I'm gonna talk to the
- 15:20Speaker 1: men here, okay, because we all jump out there with
- 15:23Speaker 1: the elbows as she and the ankles look like cracking
- 15:27Speaker 1: on our you know, we don't. You know, I'm gonna
- 15:30Speaker 1: tell you this. I look really bad. The other day
- 15:32Speaker 1: My wife had to check me where you're going? Where
- 15:34Speaker 1: are you going with no socks? Where are you going
- 15:36Speaker 1: with no socks? And so and so that's what Let's
- 15:40Speaker 1: let's go back to the body all, okay, So us
- 15:42Speaker 1: have you know we our skin. God gave us our bodies, okay,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and we all it's gonna naturally deteriorate, but it doesn't
- 15:51Speaker 1: have to naturally deteriorate fast if you take care. If
- 15:55Speaker 1: you take care, that's right, And that's what this that's
- 15:58Speaker 1: what this call is about. That's about It's about taking
- 16:00Speaker 1: care of you and and you have a product from
- 16:04Speaker 1: a stylish standpoint, you go out there from a fashion standpoint,
- 16:07Speaker 1: take care of your budget, take care of your look.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Now we're talking about the physical side of you when
- 16:11Speaker 1: you're walking out there, how you wash down, how you
- 16:15Speaker 1: put all on your face. Like I have a ball head.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So you know, I slapped that body all on my head. Okay,
- 16:20Speaker 1: there you go. And so because that's what it does
- 16:23Speaker 1: for me, Because I was walking out the door, you know,
- 16:25Speaker 1: I would just shave and and then put a put
- 16:28Speaker 1: a tie and white dry off the tie. But guess
- 16:30Speaker 1: what it would kind of like start looking like it
- 16:32Speaker 1: was cracking up there, you know, until I started putting
- 16:35Speaker 1: the body all on it. I'm just being honest with you, Landa.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I use your products because your products make me feel
- 16:42Speaker 1: better and look better.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Oh, thank you so much. And that is you know,
- 16:46Speaker 2: that's our intention. Our intention is not just you know,
- 16:50Speaker 2: to be in your life for just the sale. You know,
- 16:54Speaker 2: we want to know how you feel about it, because
- 16:57Speaker 2: that's one of the things that we say. It just
- 17:00Speaker 2: feels better. You know. I knew that as we move
- 17:06Speaker 2: into these these times where the sun is is hotter,
- 17:12Speaker 2: it seems like the sun seems like the former climate.
- 17:17Speaker 2: It stays with us longer than the winter and longer
- 17:21Speaker 2: and fall. You know, you have to have something that
- 17:24Speaker 2: combats that. And so when men are like, well, what
- 17:27Speaker 2: about a men's product, Well, that's what the chocolate is for,
- 17:30Speaker 2: you know, the chocolate men. You know, and I have
- 17:33Speaker 2: some brothers who use Love as well, because they say
- 17:36Speaker 2: it reminds them of, you know, a softer kind of
- 17:41Speaker 2: smell that they don't have to worry about whether it
- 17:44Speaker 2: will clash with their cologne. Chocolate is not going to
- 17:49Speaker 2: clash with your cologne. I wanted to make sure that
- 17:52Speaker 2: you could layer this product product, smell good, feel good,
- 17:58Speaker 2: nourish the skin, cleanse the skin, and then you know,
- 18:03Speaker 2: and get out there and do your thing in the world.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Well you're doing that. That's That's why I'm just letting
- 18:08Speaker 1: everybody know that, just because you're on a line that
- 18:11Speaker 1: says female products, Okay, these products are available for everybody,
- 18:15Speaker 1: especially men. And we'll and we're all Wren's out there searching,
- 18:18Speaker 1: Stop searching. Just go to Jana Adams. She got it.
- 18:21Speaker 1: She got product over here that allows you to take
- 18:24Speaker 1: care of you. Like I said, you know the elbow
- 18:27Speaker 1: where where men fail. We fell on that elbow. We
- 18:30Speaker 1: fell on those ankles, and ankles we die and the
- 18:33Speaker 1: tod we forget the all up our toes and that's
- 18:36Speaker 1: why we get bad. That's our told look bad in
- 18:37Speaker 1: the summer. Summer's coming. Start getting those toes right by
