- 2:08Speaker 1: Wanting only Steve Harvey. I got a radio show. Somebody
- 2:13Speaker 1: sent me an email one day that, you know, kind
- 2:16Speaker 1: of a nasty little email, you know, I think I
- 2:19Speaker 1: said it wants to before Steve Harvey trying to be
- 2:21Speaker 1: a preacher. Man. I'm so far from being a preacher. Man.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I can't even tell you. But what I am trying
- 2:28Speaker 1: to do is share information. Now. I understand how haters work,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and I understand how the devil works. Believe me, I
- 2:34Speaker 1: do you know, sometimes even heat, the devil surprises me
- 2:42Speaker 1: at the level and the angles of attack they use.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You know which, I go, Wow, man, I didn't I
- 2:48Speaker 1: didn't see that one. Oh that was pretty slick. I got.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I gotta get her credit on that. We try to
- 2:53Speaker 1: get me, but every time you try to get me,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I get saved. I get saved every time, man, because
- 3:01Speaker 1: because God got me, God got some angels camped around me.
- 3:07Speaker 1: That's what my mom used to always say as Sunday
- 3:09Speaker 1: school teacher. Never really understood it, but you know when
- 3:12Speaker 1: I was growing up as a kid, but I got it. Now,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you got some angels around me. And angels come into
- 3:17Speaker 1: form sometimes of people, people who pull your coat to this,
- 3:21Speaker 1: or introduce you to that, or reveals some information to
- 3:25Speaker 1: you like this. He got them all around me. So see,
- 3:30Speaker 1: having a relationship with God has been beneficial to me. Y'all.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's not just that what he gives to me, but
- 3:40Speaker 1: what he protects me from. And you know, some some
- 3:45Speaker 1: people wonder, what if you were God? Why he letting
- 3:48Speaker 1: people do that to you? Now, that's not how it works. See,
- 3:51Speaker 1: there's two forces in this world, as good and as evil.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And if you succumb to good, that's what you become.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That's what you do. But everybody succumb to good. Some
- 4:01Speaker 1: people succumb to evil. Some people's mission is to hate,
- 4:04Speaker 1: to destroy, to tear down, And so that forces at
- 4:09Speaker 1: work in this world too. And when that force comes
- 4:12Speaker 1: up against me, what God never promised me that I
- 4:15Speaker 1: wouldn't see none of that, that I wouldn't see the attacks,
- 4:20Speaker 1: that I would not come under fire, that I would
- 4:23Speaker 1: not be falsely accused. He didn't say that. A matter
- 4:25Speaker 1: of fact, he for warned me that it would happen.
- 4:28Speaker 1: But what He does give me in those moments, on
- 4:32Speaker 1: moments of comfort and peace, knowing that He's with me,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and no, no matter what my enemy does to bring
- 4:38Speaker 1: me down, it ain't gonna work. It ain't gonna work.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So come if you want to fight, if you will.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I have a man that has been attacking me since
- 4:50Speaker 1: I owned the comedy club in Dallas. He has been
- 4:54Speaker 1: on a mission. Every job I get, he send out
- 4:59Speaker 1: all he's he's sending them the people that I'm with.
- 5:02Speaker 1: He didn't send it to the w B. Hedn't sent
- 5:05Speaker 1: these notifications falsely claiming that he has some information that
- 5:11Speaker 1: can destroy me, that he has some audio clips of
- 5:16Speaker 1: me saying things on stage that could destroy me, and
- 5:20Speaker 1: that if I don't give him five million dollars he
- 5:24Speaker 1: gonna do it. You know how long this man been
- 5:26Speaker 1: doing this? I mean he didn't call NBC right on
- 5:29Speaker 1: up to NBC where I am now. He didn't done everything, man,
- 5:33Speaker 1: he has done everything. Now you've messed around and got
- 5:37Speaker 1: itself now claiming in his letters physically ill and his
- 5:42Speaker 1: illnesses and what's befalling his family. He's blaming that on
- 5:47Speaker 1: me too, as Steve Harvey not stressed me out and
- 5:51Speaker 1: pay me this money he owed me? What? What? What? What? What?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Where you get this figure from? Man? Where we were
- 5:58Speaker 1: you coming with this? But every time, man, even when
- 6:01Speaker 1: I tried to talk with the man to say, man,
- 6:03Speaker 1: look man, what is it? What is you really trying
- 6:06Speaker 1: to do? This is what? This is? How much I want?
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm not paying you that man, you know I'm not.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm not giving you that. He just has kept on
- 6:13Speaker 1: it on, it on, And you know what, he's a
- 6:16Speaker 1: messed around, got itself sick. He'd messed around, man, got
- 6:20Speaker 1: himself in some situation. And can I tell you something.
- 6:23Speaker 1: It's been going on since night teen h maybe nineties seven.
- 6:33Speaker 1: He started the attack when I first went on. No
- 6:37Speaker 1: before that, probably he started the attacks in it's two
- 6:44Speaker 1: thousand every nine. And he didn't got six lawyers. All
- 6:50Speaker 1: the lawyers didn't drop the case after they come in
- 6:52Speaker 1: and they discovered the fact. But he steady trying. But
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's two angels that's around. And I for on you
- 7:00Speaker 1: several times, man, and man, if I was you, I
- 7:02Speaker 1: go a head on because what I'm not gonna do
- 7:04Speaker 1: is being because you cannot break me. Because I happened
- 7:09Speaker 1: to be a soldier for Christ. I happened to be
- 7:12Speaker 1: an imperfect soldier or Christ as nothing, man as nothing
- 7:19Speaker 1: And oh, oh it ain't like a bunch of people
- 7:21Speaker 1: and tried. Now, Oh, y'all been on YouTube, y'all been
- 7:24Speaker 1: on the internet. Oh they didn't try. Oh they didn't
- 7:27Speaker 1: put some dirt on me. Man, that ain't true. But
- 7:30Speaker 1: if you keep looking at me, though, and I'm not
- 7:33Speaker 1: the prize, but if you put your eyes on God,
- 7:36Speaker 1: that's where you go. But if you look at me,
- 7:38Speaker 1: He's covered me through it all. And that's been the
- 7:40Speaker 1: importance of the relationship I formed with God, is that
- 7:45Speaker 1: I know that I'm under his wings, that I'm ever
- 7:48Speaker 1: under his ever loving protection, that he got me. And
- 7:53Speaker 1: I just want to share that with you that if
- 7:55Speaker 1: you got If you're looking for some protection, if you
- 8:00Speaker 1: looking for a way to have the strength to get
- 8:01Speaker 1: through what you're going through, get some god man. If if, if, if,

- 8:22Speaker 1: of being sick of tired, get you some god man.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I'm just telling you now. If you're trying to make
- 8:27Speaker 1: your dreams come true and it looked like you ain't
- 8:30Speaker 1: gonna make it, and you still believe that that's for you,
- 8:33Speaker 1: get you some god man. If you're setting a new
- 8:36Speaker 1: gold dream of aspiration and you're trying to get there
- 8:39Speaker 1: and you're gonna start out today, get you some god man.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm just telling you. I'm just telling you it's real.

- 17:36Speaker 1: in bad white boy? Yeah, that's borderline, that's you're a
- 17:40Speaker 1: bad white boy. But is he really a white boy?
- 17:45Speaker 1: You can't see him and it ain't white. Well you
- 17:48Speaker 1: gotta add, you gotta add Dr dre If he really white,

- 18:08Speaker 1: get canceled out because he's mad to black girl. So
- 18:11Speaker 1: that takes all his whiteness. Yeah, yeah, he's going through
- 18:14Speaker 1: the black wife override here white it would it will
- 18:19Speaker 1: suck all thet white out of him. Not now, I'm

- 18:46Speaker 1: you're a bad white boy. And nothing happening, black woman,
- 18:53Speaker 1: Let you jump up down on the couch. You bade.

- 20:45Speaker 1: I think you know what you say what you want
- 20:48Speaker 1: about Bill Cotton. People saying guilty but won't know. Nobody
- 20:50Speaker 1: ever say they're fraid right here, Bill Cotton, don't get
- 20:53Speaker 1: me a glass of wine. Nobody to be able to

- 21:25Speaker 1: You did it. Yeah, I ain't never seen uh seven

- 45:07Speaker 1: They're going to let him out. Yeah, he'll get out.
- 45:10Speaker 1: They can't keep him forever. Yeah, he has the thirty
- 45:13Speaker 1: three years sentence because a lot of people think that
- 45:18Speaker 1: he didn't demand some slack. A lot of people think

- 52:38Speaker 1: when I was little, I played with dolls. I love dolls. Marla, Yeah,
- 52:42Speaker 1: I know guys. Yeah, your life size dog Betty Gane.
- 52:47Speaker 1: That was her name is Betty jen. We we beat
- 52:50Speaker 1: that doll up so bad and we broke the dolls
- 52:57Speaker 1: arm and now yeah, yeah you a g I Joe. Yeah,
- 53:07Speaker 1: girls had Barbie and then did you have white dogs?
- 53:10Speaker 1: Are black dogs? Jolly white? Yeah? The biggest argument I
- 53:14Speaker 1: had with my granddaughter a Kira. We're in the store,
- 53:18Speaker 1: and I was not going to buy it. This was
- 53:20Speaker 1: before I was anyway women, but anyway, I was not.
- 53:25Speaker 1: I was not anyway. I was not going to buy
- 53:28Speaker 1: the white dog. I wanted her to have the black Yeah. Yeah,
- 53:32Speaker 1: as a representative out real loud, I don't want your
- 53:36Speaker 1: black dog store old store, something like that. I don't
- 53:45Speaker 1: want the black dog. I don't know who you was. Yeah,
- 53:52Speaker 1: that was embarrassing. Yeah, that was. Yeah, now they do.
- 53:58Speaker 1: They didn't have him as much you were growing up. Yeah,
- 54:01Speaker 1: daughter has all of them. She has black dolls, white
- 54:05Speaker 1: dolls because she has friends of all racist white friends. Yeah,
- 54:10Speaker 1: everybody comes over and they play dolls, and they have
- 54:13Speaker 1: the American girl dolls, the Bobby dolls. So yeah, it's
- 54:17Speaker 1: like it's a big deal. And I told you about
- 54:19Speaker 1: my my girlfriend, who's really really fair. She's very very
- 54:22Speaker 1: light skinned, and her daughters are really really light skinned.
- 54:25Speaker 1: She wouldn't, I mean, but she was. She was only
- 54:31Speaker 1: she wouldn't. She wouldn't get the super white dolls. But
- 54:34Speaker 1: she didn't want the really black dolls because they didn't
- 54:36Speaker 1: have them in a lot of different colors and stuff.
- 54:38Speaker 1: She waited until they brought out the Latina version, so
- 54:42Speaker 1: she yeah, because that was her. Yeah, girl, you're black,
- 54:45Speaker 1: get a black doll. I don't want the black Yeah.
- 54:50Speaker 1: You know. It wasn't the daughters, it was the mom.
- 54:53Speaker 1: The mom would say it. Do you think white to
- 55:00Speaker 1: have black dolls? Yes? Yes, some parents. Some parents insist,
- 55:05Speaker 1: just like Carlo's daughter has all raises. Some parents insist,
- 55:09Speaker 1: you know, because this is the world you live. Some
- 55:11Speaker 1: parents insists that you have yeah, black dolls, which I
- 55:15Speaker 1: think is a great thing. You're listening to the Steve
- 55:18Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, the Strawberry letter is coming
- 55:21Speaker 1: up before we get to it. Though this is a
- 55:23Speaker 1: new survey, it's a rundown of some of the most
- 55:25Speaker 1: common lies that people tell their partners. Lies like I'm listening,
- 55:29Speaker 1: Go ahead, I'm listening. No, I've only had one drink.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I didn't see your text. I didn't see that you
- 55:36Speaker 1: called me. That's a big one right there. Yeah, I
- 55:40Speaker 1: use that every time every day. Yeah, very tasty because
- 55:46Speaker 1: you get a lot of that, Daniel when you see it.
- 55:50Speaker 1: So far, keep going. I was out with friends, I
- 55:55Speaker 1: was out with I use a specific name in a
- 56:00Speaker 1: place in the junior's house. It's good, Okay, I've definitely
- 56:08Speaker 1: heard with me my wife no good here. Well, I
- 56:10Speaker 1: ain't no, no, you know you ain't a juniors. That's okay.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Here's one. Here's one I've never heard. I like your cooking.
- 56:21Speaker 1: I like your cooking. Never, I've never heard that. Why
- 56:26Speaker 1: that even lie to you and tell you thank you?
- 56:29Speaker 1: Side you just look at the plate and walk off.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I'm just trying to understand because I'm new here. You
- 56:35Speaker 1: don't cook at all. I don't. Sorry, okay, I'm never
- 56:45Speaker 1: here's a microwave. Okay, I've never cheated on you. I've
- 56:49Speaker 1: never cheated up at guys saying because we're not having
- 56:56Speaker 1: that conversation that. Yeah. Here's another one. That one, yeah, yeah,
- 57:02Speaker 1: I like your parents. Yeah. Now that one I've I've
- 57:05Speaker 1: told the truth, and that got me in trouble. Ain't
- 57:08Speaker 1: getting around. They also found that one and ten people
- 57:14Speaker 1: lie regularly to their partner and don't completely trust their
- 57:19Speaker 1: current partner. Five percent say that they don't trust them
- 57:22Speaker 1: at all. I think the biggest lad is I'm not lying,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but me Lyon has kept us together. I will be Steve.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Steve loves to I mean he'll tell you a lie
- 57:37Speaker 1: when the truth will do Why not? I learned that
- 57:42Speaker 1: from him just in case I don't. I don't like
- 57:47Speaker 1: like right now, I don't have to lie nearly as
- 57:49Speaker 1: much as I used to practice occasionally in case I
- 57:55Speaker 1: need it, Like I asked me something right quick shore,
- 57:57Speaker 1: All right, come on, Strawberry letter coming up neck. Oh no,
- 58:00Speaker 1: it's not huh. You got everybody here. We've had a
- 58:13Speaker 1: lot of practice. Buckle up and hold on tight. We
- 58:17Speaker 1: got it for all you here. It is Strawberry letters. Subject.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Let me get to this. Too much sex? Now? What?
- 58:28Speaker 1: Too much sex? Now? What do I question? Mark, Dear
- 58:33Speaker 1: Morning crew. I have a problem and don't know what
- 58:35Speaker 1: to do. My husband's a preacher and I love sex,
- 58:41Speaker 1: not just with my husband, but with anyone I can seduce.
- 58:46Speaker 1: It was at first a question conquer, but now it's
- 58:50Speaker 1: out of hand, Steve. Now my husband's best friend made
- 58:53Speaker 1: a pass at me, and now I don't feel so
- 58:56Speaker 1: good about this one. I want to tell my husband,
- 58:58Speaker 1: but scared it will create a mess and reveal my
- 59:01Speaker 1: side sex life. I want to clean slate and focus
- 59:05Speaker 1: on my marriage. But what should But? But should I
- 59:08Speaker 1: take a chance and tell him or just lay low
- 59:11Speaker 1: and say nothing. It's a mess and I don't know
- 59:13Speaker 1: what to do. Should I lay my sexing ways down
- 59:16Speaker 1: and move on without bringing it up? For the first time,
- 59:20Speaker 1: I actually feel bad about what I did and want
- 59:24Speaker 1: to change. But will it be the best? Will it
- 59:26Speaker 1: be best to reveal all or nothing? Thanks? Uh, you
- 59:31Speaker 1: know what. I am glad that you've seen the light
- 59:34Speaker 1: and have come to your senses somewhat. You know the
- 59:38Speaker 1: fact that you you have recognized it and admitted it
- 59:41Speaker 1: and want to change, that's a really good thing. Should
- 59:43Speaker 1: you tell your husband you ask? That's a hard one
- 59:46Speaker 1: for me because I do believe in the truth. I
- 59:48Speaker 1: believe that it does set you free and all that.
- 59:51Speaker 1: But I think that you know, if you tell your
- 59:53Speaker 1: husband this one, it could have some terrible, terrible, terrible repercussions,
- 59:58Speaker 1: not just for you but him. You know, your marriage
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: of course, the church, everything, you know. I think maybe
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: you should repent um, you know, change your ways, pray,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: deal with God on this one, and uh, you know,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: hope that your husband never finds out, but you know,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: change you definitely need to do that. Steve Home is
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: me already m hm? Well, the sexy preach your wife
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: too much. Six, Now what do I do? First? I
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: want to know why you are writing us. If you
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: to preach his wife, I would think that you would
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: know something about faith, but obviously, due to your actions,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: you don't care nothing about your faith. So now you've
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: decided to write a national radio show about an issue.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: This seems to me more like something you would take
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: to God himself. Off. I would kind of take this
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: one to God because really we can't help you. There's
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: nothing we can tell you. But since you wrote me,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: here is the human response. This is none of this
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: that I'm about to say. It's gonna be what God
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: would say, you wrote, Steve, Dear Morning crew, we'll hear
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: what the Morning crew. May I have a problem. I
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: don't know. My husbands are preaching and our love sex
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong with that, just not with my husband,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: but with anybody I can subduce, damn anybody. You're just
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: all over the church. Now. It was at first quest
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: and conquer, but nigh's out of hand. Okay, so hold long.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Now it ain't quest and conquer now, it's just everybody.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: See you're not seducing anybody anymore. You're just out there,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: spread and your peanut butter around on everybody bread. The
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: people got peanut butter on them. Don't even won't it
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: You didn't pass it out so much. Now that the
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: man's your your your husband's best friend, does seduced you.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You know why because he didn't heard about you. It's
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: all over the church a matter of fact, it's all
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: over the church convention. You all down at the Baptist
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: convention with this hell, You all over at the coach
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: At convention with it. You all down at the Catholic
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: diallars Is meeting you die or whatever it is, Diallas.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: That's the kid You know you're down there were you at?
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: You up at the kidney center with the dillas patients
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: passing it up? You just got your cookie is just crumbs.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Now it's just crumbs. It ain't even a whole cooking
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: no more. It's just cooking dust. You that stuff in
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: the bottom of the cooking bag that you sprinkle in
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: your hand and you don't bite it, you lick it out.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Your cooking is dusty. So when I come back, dusty,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: we're gonna share with you. I can't help, but I
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: can tell you what's gonna happen when you walk in
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: the house and tell your husband this foolish moment you
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: fit the hell you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. But
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: all right, Steve, come on with part two. Everybody, she
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: is the tallest Christian Christian? What Christians correct, God's littlest Christian.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Come on, Steve with your response to this crazy letter,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: this crazy show, these crazy people. All right, Steve, come
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: on finish, dear Morning crew, we're here. What the Morning
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: crew think My husbands are preaching our little sex? Ain't
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: nothing wrong with that, just not with my husband, but
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: with anybody I can subdue, Damn anybody. You just all
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: over the church. Now it was at first quest and conquer,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: but knives out of hand. Okay, so hold on the lady.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: That's too much sex. Now what do I do? She's
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: sleeping around on her husband, who happens to be a preacher.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: She loves sex, not just with my husband, but with
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: anybody I can subduce. Well, now, her husband's best friend
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: made a pass on me, and she don't feel so
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: good about this one. Here's where the letter gets real stupid.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: It's already ignorant, but let's let's go to the next level.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I want to tell my husband, but scared it will
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: create mess and reveal my sex side. Lady, don't you
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: already stupid? Okay, don't don't. Don't take it to the
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: levels of no return. If your husband isn't questioning you
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: about it, don't not tell your husband this. No man
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: is gonna handle this information well coming from his wife.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: This is not gonna be your husband after you share
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: this information with it. I can assure you that we
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: do not really do well when it comes to accepting
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: women who cheat on us. Women are far better at it.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I have a theory on why that is, but it's
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: mostly to do with our ego. See, we look at
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: sex differently than women do. Women supposedly have more of
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: a caring want to feel something for you before I
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: do it. A guy ain't gotta have none of that.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: And once we're done, we figured, once we wash, we cool.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: That's how men look at it. It's very simple to them.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: But we all know that our woman can't wash that
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: part away and it's ours And you didn't gave my
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: own way, our lord. No, our ego is crushed. Somebody
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: else been in my cookie, y'all? Are you crazy? Oh
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: my goodness, our ego. We can't stand to run up
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: into a guy. That's that's that's come on, man, had
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: our cookie when it's supposed to be our cookie. So
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: if you go tell your husband it's over, I can
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: assure you that you would be better off doing like
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: you said. Should I just lay my sexing ways down
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: and move on without bringing it up? Yes? You should.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: The problem you have is can you do it? So?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: You can't have You can't lay your sexing ways down
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: without a serious conversation with God because you were in
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: deep I mean, you know wrong is wrong. You know
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: addiction is addiction, if it's a drug or if it's
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: sex you addicted to. This sounds like to me you
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: need some help from a higher being. If you're not
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: gonna include God and your change, I really don't see
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. I actually feel bad about what
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I did and want to change. Well, that's between you
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: and God. I think that's glad about that. Though I'm
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: glad she does want to change and that you know
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: she has a good sense to at least feel bad
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: about it. You don't get a prize for feeling bad
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: about that. Email us or Instagram as your thoughts on
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter at my girl surely okay, my girls
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: shurely switching gears here. Now it's time for another beloved
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: segment on this show. They're all be loved. Yeah, this
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: is where has really be loved. Yeah, this is Yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: we really do a lot of this. And this is
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: where the nephew and junior step up and they go
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: at it. I don't know why, but we'll let Jay,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: We'll let Ja decide. Okay, what I show them to
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: lose Naa. But he calls me in the middle of
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: next Shirley and he comes up with the stupidest stuff.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: And I don't know why you sit on the phone
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: and think about this and art. Okay, Jake, let me
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: be the judge of rather than that it's stupid. Okay,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: tell me if I'm right a wrong? I told him.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: A right to bail arms means that you are allowed
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: to wear your own naked and not have no clothes on.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: You have a right to bear arms. Is that right
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: or wrong? Jake? Your arms can be naked here? What
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: say you, Junior? I say it's stupid, Jake. It doesn't
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: matter if you put all if your arms are out
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: or end does not mean it is a right that
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: man man is saying, if you want to those sleeveless
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: in the dead of winning, you have the right to
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: bear arms. That's exactly what he say. It has nothing
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: to do with arms. What I means arms, It means
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: if you're allowed to carry a weapon. Now, why would
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: he even call me and get on the fall and
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: we discussed whether your arms are in or out? Thank you?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Hold on a second. When people say, let me level
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: with you, and then people say we're gonna use a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: level to see if this is even or not, those
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: are two different things, right, that's what This is the
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: same thing. It's two different things. But you can be
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: butt naked on your arms, boy, that's what it's saying.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: If you want to not wear sleeves at all, you
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: have the right. It says it right there in the statement.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: It's you have the right. Minute that it's talking about. No, no, no, no,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: no no no no. People are on no no no no, no, no,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: no no no. It's the same thing. It's the same
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: thing as this. Then, because it doesn't matter about your
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: own being in out, you might as well just say
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you have the right to well my feet out or in.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: It don't you can do that. It's freak. But there
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: is no law that said you have the right to
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: bear feet. There's a lot. Let that slide. Okay, okay, Jack, yes,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: on the next one, would you please tell him that
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: the number six and the number nine are twins that
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: just don't get along. Thank you, thank you, I thank
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: you under the six and the nine or tins that
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: just don't get a love? What say six? Six? And again?
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I told her I wasn't gonna win ane of these
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: today because I don't. Okay, okay, now, Jake, this is
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: when he hung up on me. All I said, well,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: he gonna hang on me and they're gonna say I'm
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: gonna get you in trouble. He got he out, He
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: threw with me. I told him, if Caitlyn Jenna was
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: a superhero, Ca, Caitlyn could be a Transformer or wonder One.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I'm through. Yeah, what's that noise? What's happening? We'll leave.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: That's us packing up our stuff. Okay, that's what you're here.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with that. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, So the majority of us
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: are all of us have kids? On this show, junior.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: You're you're a great You're a great nephew. You're a
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: great uncle to your nephews. Well listen to this guy's.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: According to a recent survey, millennials buy a lot of
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: stuff online, and that certainly proves to be true. And
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: they don't step into the brick and mortar buildings anymore
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: like we do. They buy it all online. Amazingly, more
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: than half of their total purchases last year were made online,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: more than half. So they might buy most things online,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: but what they don't buy everything online? Sixty two percent
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: said they planned to buy their next car in person
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: at a dealership. Yeah. What, I can't stand the millennials. Careful.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: We have millennials. Millennials we have, and we have millennial children.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: That's that. Then the ones I'm talking about you at
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: my house, they didn't have the struggle we had. I
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: just think you should lock them all outside, just just
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: just they don't. They didn't. They don't do nothing we
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: used to do. They're so entitled. They didn't do anything.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: They have chilges. They have no choice. Did you guys
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: used to have to have chill the floors? You have
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: some roster refrigerator, the yard they didn't have dishwashers back
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: in the daher dishwasher and the go get her what
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: do you mean? Cigarettes right there? Run upstairs and get this. Yeah,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: come from down the street and bring me some water.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: YEA change your channel, jags and TV channel, that's the
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: one right there. You called me wait out here for
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: that man. You know what I couldn't do back in
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: the day to Okay, so when I had to wash
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: the dishes, right, so when I washed the dishes, I
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: had to wash them, dried them, and put them up.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: If I did not put them up, you're talking about
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: that blanket and get pulled out. Me. Just wash the dishes,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: dry the dishes, put the dishes up, sleep the floor,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: take the trash, reland the trash can because the plastic,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: mop the floor, clean out the refrigerator, wipe down all
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: the cabinets with the old rush. And then let me
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: give your mind that got me? Let me do to
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: got me in trouble. My daddy came home three days
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: straight and I had not cut that yard. And then
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: he came home late from working, like about ten third
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: eleven o'clock at night. It's the fourth day. Now, Yeah,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I've been coming in I've been coming in late from
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: track practice, so I ain't been able to really really
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: do it. Man. That's that four days my daddy had
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: me in the yard at level o'clock at night with
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: a flat next door, said, Hey, what's going on? Don't
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: work pout? What's going on over here? We putting yawns tonight?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Any other time when Annie Lee Brown promised you a
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: behind whipping, she never forgot but you, But how about
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: when they made you think they forgot? And to your point, Carla,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: earlier in the middle of the night, you're sleeping, good La,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: all of that, they come in there, turn those lights on,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: sash that time to pay the po we got. I
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: didn't want my but whipping to add up. I don't
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: want you to stack it. You know I won't mind me.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Don't put this with the most stuff. Break my hand.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: You're trying to negotiate the discipline. Remember, did I have
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: a tell? I think I told you guys about the
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: time that my mom had the belt and she was
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: whipped me and I accidentally I grabbed the belt and
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: we were doing a tug of war with the belt
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: and I accidentally let the belt go and my mom.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I would never know it wasn't. It wasn't. Honestly, it wasn't,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: but she thought it was, Oh, you're gonna knock men?
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Did you knock me hit in the mount? Did anybody
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: get hit in the mount? Did you get popped in
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: the mount? And she would pop me in my mouth,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: I said something. She never slapped me or hit me before.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: My mom said you're gonna make me knock you into
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: next week, and I said me for Thursday. I would
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: have made you completely. Hey, man, One time I tried
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: to defend my mama against my dad. Worst mistake I
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: ever made got to beat another lifetime that I was
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: mad at her because I was in here for you.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: My mom pushed me in the stomach so hard. I
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: said something like, and I didn't see the right coming, man,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I didn't see it yet. Not all away and right.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: We're having this conversation because surely you started the segment
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: off we were talking about MILLENNI off air, just to
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: let the audience know we're talking off air about the
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: difference and how we raised kids today and how we
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: were raised back in the day. Millennial weed. The kids
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: they are so entitled, they're just entitled. They think they're
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: supposed to have it. They just think. Yeah, millennials, they don't. Yeah,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: they don't understand hard work, how hard we had to work,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: just like we didn't understand how hard our parents work.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: The most embarrassing thing I remember was going to the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: laundry mat to watch clothes timing. You take all the
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: dirty clothes and you put them in that big sheet
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: and you walk past everybody playing to go to the
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Oh my god. And Saturdays we had to clean the
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: entire house every Saturday. Everything. We can never just go
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: outside and watch card too. We had Millennials have never
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: heard what Quinn running in and out that Jo heard that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Yet they don't understand. Yeah, we had a front porch
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: and there were wood steps we had a swing on.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I had to mop the entire mopping I hate, and
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: we had to mop the I had to mop the
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: steps step. You had to show an amount of time.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: If you open that refrigerator door to get what you
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: want and get out of it. No standing in that door,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: letting that cold out. Do you remember water holes? Water?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Thank you turn it on and let thirty seconds later
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: run for thirty in that cool water, kicking and alright,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: we'll be back you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: All right, Uh, we were just reminiscing back in the day.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: You know how different it is now between how we
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: were grown, we were raised, and how we grew up
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: to how the millennials. But they're entitled behind they have
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: it so good. Well, you know, our audience wanted to
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: get in on it. They wanted a piece of this.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Let me get some of that. Yeah, okay, so let's
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: go to line one. They want to talk about it too.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Let's go to line one and talk to Terrell out
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: of Tampa. Terrell, good morning, Good morning to the one
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the Morning Morning Show. I got two things the kids
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: that they have never heard of. One, don't let the
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: streetlights to beat you. They have never heard that strange
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: voice on the phone. Gonna get off my phone. Other
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: people use the phone. Oh my god. They don't know
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: where that voice came from. How about this? How about this?
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Who are you talking to Auntie in Chicago? Chicago? What
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: have you put in? They said, you quick? You got
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: two minutes. I'm waiting on somebody from the church to
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: call me. Have you ever put in an emergency call
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: or somebody? And I did it? One time, and I
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: thought my grandmother was gonna lose her mind. How about
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: just tell me, y'all. Remember the phone books came out
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and you said, on the porch and see if your
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: name was in there. How about this jay when it's
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: storming outside, sit still work, Tommy, Tommy still does that phone? Yeah, Mark,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: My grandmother would hang up the phone if it started raining.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Middlet of conversations. You just hang up the phone. When
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: it would rain and the sun was shining. That meant
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: the devil. And I didn't even know he was married.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: I did when did never get mad? Thank you, Thank
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: you Turell. We appreciate that. Let's go to line too
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: and talk Hesper Hesper out of South Carolina. He's p yes,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: oh hey baby, I'm sorry. How are you doing? I'm
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: all right here? You old school or you millennial? Um?
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I right at the cusp. I just turned thirty in May,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: but my mother is seventy. My grandmother passed the other
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: year at ninety four. So I was raised old school.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I had a fourteen year old son last year. I
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: put him out of my house. I put him on
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: my front porch. I told him, if you can't be respectful,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: if you're gonna introspect me, you can sleep outside. I
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: made him a cut. I put him a pillow out there,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: and gave me some covers the neighborhood. The neighbor called
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the police on me. Police came out. Yes, the police
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: came out, talked to me like I was a child,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: told me I was a grown a woman and I
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: should know better, arrested me in front of my boy
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: year old daughter. Yes, and charged me with a fellow
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: any it. Yes, I was on the front. He was
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: in the yard, right, he was on the front on
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the property. Yes, there was no calling the police back,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: come out and help. He tied me with a celony
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: and cost me four thousand dollars. I ain't be anything
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I had. Yes, lost the job as a result of it. Well, no,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I lost the job opportunity as a result
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: of it. And um, I'm waiting now for it to
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: be expenced because it finally got it dismissed. But how
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: do you do that? Wouldn't you do know that neighbor
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: wouldn't be living neck don't no more? You do not listen. Unfortunately,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I'm still there. I'm trying to get into a place
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: where I can buy a house. I can move because
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I can't deal with anymore. But the police have been
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: out to my house so many times over this. And
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: you know he was not in any harm, in any danger.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: And this man is no longer an officer. Within a year,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: he was no longer officer. I don't know what happened,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: but nobody will let me tell my side of the story.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Oh no, the only threat you could make back in
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: the day was I'm gonna tell Big Mama, and you
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: said that once. As a result, as a result, is
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: still in my life right now. No, there was no
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: calling the police, but good luck. Yeah. Yeah, my mother
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: put my nephew out. He said he didn't believe in God.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: She said, well you can't live yet. Okay. I was
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: laughing because he was holding for a whole day. He
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: called back that night. I think the Lord is real.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Let's go to like seven and talk to Tea out
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: of Texas. Hey, how are you doing all right? You
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: old school with us? School with you? I wanted to
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: put it back on your You talked about a lot
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: of holes. It was two tricks to the out of holes.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Come on, so remember you had to get out of that,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: like you said, and let the water run, and let
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: the hot water run first, right right, right right, and
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: the foods that didn't know that they got burnt by
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: drinking the water first. But then when the cool water came,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: you had to try to be one of the first
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: ones to drink it because you only have about thirty seconds.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Because coming back, there was no going back in the
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: house to get water. You didn't go back in the
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: house and get water. H you could go back in
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: once you when outside you was out had one of
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: them creen doors like we had. They would put the
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: last on there so you couldn't Yeah, yeah, they could
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: see you, but they went't open the door looking hook
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: of the doors that the cat you always jump on.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: It definitely that you had to fold the water holes
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: to stop the water from running. Ye put nobody had
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: that little nils. You never saw one of those. You
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: couldn't have a turn it all the way off about
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: to sell your hand. Okay, did y'all have the slipping slide?
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Did you have that with you? Was a hefty garbage bag.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I remember, I remember when I think I thought you
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: was boling when you had an above the ground pool
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: and don't don't give me started leaves in the pool
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: and ran women. Oh man, or just you know, turn
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: on the turn on the water hose and it just
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: run in your drum. Fun time, all right, moll be
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: back after these dams. Okay, we'll be Yeah, we like
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: the calls. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: All right, we just got into we haven't stopped. We're
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: reminiscing about, you know, yeah, how we grew up versus
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: how the millennials today are being raised, and their entitlement
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: and everything and the stuff. The torture we had to
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: go through. Jay, quickly, you just tell us to watch television.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: We want to punishment. You couldn't watch television, and someone
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: said you're watching the television? Said no, And then she'd
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: feel a set to see if it was hot, and
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: that way you could tell don't get hot anymore. But
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: back in the day, they'd heat up the room. Who
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: needed a fireplace? Real quick? Okay, guys, my mom when
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: I was punished, you know, when she put me on punishment,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: I couldn't talk on the phone. She would take all
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: the phones out the house and take them to work
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: with her, so I couldn't talk on the phone. And
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: she was from work with her briefcase and a whole
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: bunch of phones. Nothing not to answer the phone, and
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: then they test you and they called and then if
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: you answer, didn't I tell you? Yeah? All right, let's
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: go to line too and talk to Brandon. Our audience
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: is here for this one today. Brandon Virginia, what's going on? Man?
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: We're good man, we're reminiscing back in the day. To
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: listen right now. My parents back in the day was
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: with real old schools. But my mom would tell me, listen,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: before I whip you, I need you to tick off
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: all your clothes because I'm not gonna what I paid for.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: The worst weapon I ever got was from the next
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: door neighbor because my mother was sick that day. So
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: she called the next time and miss Addie she said,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: could you come in and eat and beat and beat him?
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: And she put one on us. Man, she did. She
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: didn't play, miss Addie, And so back then everybody could
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: beat you. It was open season on your behind, right right. Okay,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: we're reminiscing old school versus new school. Okay, Line five,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: let's go to Frank Out of New York's ain't nothing everything.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: We're reminiscing, man, what you got you got? I kind
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: of grew up. But one of the one is um.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: When me and my brother we were teenagers, right, my
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: moment used to go to work and every now and
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: again we'll sneezed the girls in the house, and every
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: now she would bust us. And when she come in,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: she'd be like, oh, y'all got to get up out
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: of here. Just ain't no hopetel here. You couldn't have coming, man,
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: my mama was at home. You can't come out right now.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: I'd be out there. Remember remember asking your friends to
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: ask your mama could you come out? That was worse. Yeah.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Uh And they would just say no, just be because
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: you made your friend ask. Yeah. Yeah, oh no Now okay,
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: let's gone now though they try to do today. Yeah,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Tasha tried. Okay, let's see if we can quickly get
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: one in line six. Shamika out of Virginia as well. Shamika. Yes, hey,
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: baby girl, we got real real quick twenty seconds. What
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: you got reminiscent? Okay, so I would get see with
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: anything under the sign, anything that was quoke cor Yes,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: could find any of that. Hold on, Hold on one second, baby,
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, all
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: this hour we have been Yeah, we've been reminiscing old
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: school versus new school, because these millennials have it so
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: good right now. They don't even know what we went
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: through to get them here. Yes it is. And we
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: were talking to Shamika online six Tommy, Yeah, Shamika. I
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: think she started out with extension cord. Shamika, Yes, baby,
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: running by me one more time back in the day. Yeah.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: So I was the type of person that got into
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: a lot of trouble. So when it came time to
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: getting the punishments and the beating, she would beat me
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: with an extension cord. Um. If there was a broom
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: stick around, I would get that my stick. I would
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: get that. Uh, don't let it be any objects that
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: she can throw, because I would get that too. Um.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: I had to also go outside and get my own switch.
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all over there, Yeah, yeah, are
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: not coming there with another one. Don't bring back a
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: little twig because you would get beat with that. And
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: once that's done, she would go outside and get her
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: own switch and come beat you with that too. Oh yeah,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: or braid three together and They justified it with spare
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: the rods for the child scripture, and then when they
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: got older they didn't remember any of this stuffs. Sing yeah,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: remember pick up, pick up your kids and let them
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: do whatever they want to do. Yeah, thank you Shamika. Right,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: they spoiled the grandkids, right, Tommy. I love my mom,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: I really do. I love hunting them. I love the pieces.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: But if I could press charges, I would charges right now.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: They beat the mess out of me. Pay somebody needs
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: to go to jail. Somebody to go to jail for them.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: But look how you turned out there. Oh you knew
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: not to get in trouble. Oh God, embarrass your Now
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: we embarrass our kids. Back then, you could not embarrass it.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: My good job and come down. Ever, Oh let me
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: find out you didn't. Went around the corner that's the
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: neighbor house and you over there eating. I know you,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: they sam me do no man. But that was back
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: in the day. But you know what today, like my
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: daughter when she's out playing with her friends and the kids,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: and they go across the street and she's like, mommy,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: Mr John a grilled steaks. It was delicious. I said, good,
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: you ate, it's dinner. Time go over there with your
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: friends on now get but you know where we couldn't
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: put our hands on the wall. Yeah, yeah, you couldn't
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: hands off the wall, hands off the Remember when TV
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: went off? Yeah time, you know that looked dot looked
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: dot right at the end, right before it came on.
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: It was another image on to the But you know what,
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: I wouldn't trade it for anything. How we were raised.
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I just wouldn't appreciate hard working definitely. You know, we
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: shall lock these keys outside respective elders, all of that. Yeah,
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: all right, we will. That was our walk down trip
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: down memory lane, I guess, and we'll be back to Yeah,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: here we are into the show already last break of
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: the morning. But we've been reminiscing for this. Yes, he
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: definitely needs it. We've been. Yeah, we've been reminiscing um
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: for this last hour about you know, just how we
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: were basic based on how the millennials we compared the
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: two and boy boys. Did you guys have ad dicted
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: in when you were small at when you take the
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: toilet paper roll and go Yeah we had, Yeah, we did.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: I didn't have died it in, But I did get
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: in that fan in the window and get too close.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: Did you eat refrigerator ice? Yes, that the deep free
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: had you scraped that out and put it in the
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: glass and put some kool aid on top of that,
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: and that was That was for the ice cream man.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: But we drank water right out of the faucet. Oh yeah,
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: distilled water and bottled water and soft drinking. Right. I
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: got water right, the water from the water bottle in
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: the water bottle right from Michigan. That's what about the ice?
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: Did you have to old hand? Yeah? Yeah? And the
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: milk man game, milk man. Now we had to go
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: to the store and get Now do you remember going
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: to the store a million times? Yeah? For bread to
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: go back. Yeah, but a loaf of bread, a gallon
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: of milk, a dozen eggs, and some sugar. You always
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: so weird that black people wanted white bread. We grew
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: up it with wonder bread was being bread. When my
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: grandmother sent me to the store, she would say, I'm
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: spitting on the floe. Now, don't let it be dry
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: when you get back town. What spiting on the floor, now,
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: don't let it be dry when you get back. I
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: remember this break outside. Everybody's outside playing, and then the
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: old older the person would come to know and say
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: who wants to make a quarter? And about sixty kids
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: with show. All right, let's go. We have some more
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: phone calls. We can take a couple of guys before
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: we get out of here. Let's go to line four
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: uh and talk to Tracy out of Georgia. Tommy, Yes,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: good morning, babe. How you doing. I'm good. How are

- 1:36:35Speaker 1: you new school or old school? I'm old school? Talk
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: to me what you got. My grandmother raised me, and
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: whenever I would ask her to go to the store, um,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: she would always say, I'm gonna spit on the ground
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: and you better be back before dry up. I have
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: never I've never heard that. I've never heard. What about
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: the rule before you win in the stud don't touch nothing,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: don't look at nothing, and don't ask that Actually, Jake, actually, Jay,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: back then, you could actually get left in the car.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: Ridden you could. You could get left in the car.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: You have any seat, and your mom's arm was the
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: car seat. Yes, yes to the air bag. I mean

- 1:37:33Speaker 1: good morning, Come on man back in the day. What
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: you got Okay, he'll just be real short and breathe.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: But I do remember, man, was this is going school? Um?
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: You know always you always have to class clown man
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: when the show off and you don't make everybody laughs.
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: Well okay, well I just say this is third grade. Um,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: I was a man. It was a special you know
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: young leading there that I like so much where I
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: think it made if I act stupid, you know, make
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: people laughing, you're like me even more. Well on the whole.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: It came around with though. While I was making them
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: laugh and they was laughing, the teacher was out of
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: the class form. My mother was behind the wall and
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: she had a tough skin love of dough, and she
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: looked at me. Okay, you finished, you finished making him laugh.
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: I can't tell you my mother caught one of my
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: shows in school because I wouldn't put on two shows
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: showing home room and then I just show after lunch.
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait minute, wait minute, hey man, you got
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: you got beat in front of everybody, beat in front
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: of everybody, you know, whatever things she took my she
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: took my pants down, man, and told me up right there.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: I mean, I had my drawers and she you know,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: she didn't want to tortually humiliate me, but I had
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: my drawers on. What she was that's that's humiliating, brother,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: That was yeah, or they would talk loud when you're
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: on the phone. Yeah, yeah, thank you. Oh my goodness,
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: I just did my threats. Just made you act right.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: My mama told me one time, no line, she said,
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: I because I'm tired of working, and I'll do the time.
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: She said, I'll kill you. I'm tired of working. And
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: what I'll do the time she didn't murder? Murder? I
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: turn around and make nothing like man, I brought you
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: here and I'll take you out. Oh my goodness. Yeah,
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: but wait, Jake, what were you saying? Used to do
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: two shows? When I did a show in home room,
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: I did a nice show then, and then right after lunch,
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: I had an afternoon show and le Bron caught that
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: second show. She wore me out. But look at you now, baby,
