At 2:17 AM, forty-three-year-old Jay digs under his childhood bed and encounters Munch, an eight-year-old manifestation of his boyhood monster wearing an oversized 1990s Charlotte Hornets jacket. Through references to pop-culture films like Jack, Benjamin Button, and Big, Munch confronts Jay about his attempt to flee adulthood while drowning in the financial, physical, and emotional realities of growing older. After the two briefly swap bodies, Munch experiences the crushing weight of Jay's adult conscience and offers Jay an escape into a dark abyss beneath the bed to stay young forever…
