- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milking buck things and its cubs, y'all to me,
- 0:19Speaker 1: true good it. Steve har listening to movie together for
- 0:26Speaker 1: stum Please momy, I don't join joined me to be
- 0:53Speaker 1: doing me. Honey. You gotta turn you, you gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out, turning, got to turn them out
- 1:45Speaker 1: to turn turn the water the water go. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your baby daddy, Uh huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now? Wanting on its Steve Harvin Man old man,
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, Jue, God so big to me, mad,
- 2:14Speaker 1: I just have to tell you about it. I can't
- 2:17Speaker 1: help it. It's rather obvious to me how big, how
- 2:21Speaker 1: good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain,
- 2:27Speaker 1: you know, Man, I want to share something with you today.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You know, if you're out there start your mission today,
- 2:35Speaker 1: why don't we all decide together better yet, let's just
- 2:40Speaker 1: kill that because you don't that just individually. Look you listening,
- 2:45Speaker 1: everybody's got something that's that's on the table that they
- 2:48Speaker 1: haven't yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start
- 2:52Speaker 1: your mission today? Stop the procrastination now. And if you
- 2:57Speaker 1: and if you allow practical excuse me, you allow procrastination
- 3:01Speaker 1: to set in, then that allows then, which is a weakness,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you know, but that allows the devil then to just
- 3:10Speaker 1: really do his thing. Because an idle mind is the
- 3:14Speaker 1: devil's playground. So if you ain't working on your goal's dreams,
- 3:17Speaker 1: aspirations or visions, and you just waking up seeing how
- 3:20Speaker 1: today gonna go, or the devil he got plenty for
- 3:23Speaker 1: it for you to do. See. But if you get
- 3:26Speaker 1: your mind right on your goal and your focus and
- 3:29Speaker 1: your purpose, then you can go on about your business.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Then when the distraction comes, you can catch yourself. Now,
- 3:34Speaker 1: that don't mean you ain't gonna fall privy or fall
- 3:37Speaker 1: prey to some of your distractions, because you will, but
- 3:40Speaker 1: you will have a goal in mind, an aspiration that
- 3:43Speaker 1: makes you go hold on, man, I got to stay
- 3:46Speaker 1: focused here, because what I really want while I'm really
- 3:48Speaker 1: trying to go, the thing that I'm really after, this
- 3:51Speaker 1: new little thing that's being introduced, this don't fit into
- 3:55Speaker 1: the equation. Man. Let me keep it moving, or you
- 3:59Speaker 1: may step off off the line for a little while.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You know, like I said yesterday, the thing about God
- 4:04Speaker 1: is he's so forgiven that if you get out of line,
- 4:06Speaker 1: he'll hold your place. See that's the real cool thing.
- 4:09Speaker 1: A lot of people to do that for you too.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Like I said, if you're the movie theater, or you're
- 4:12Speaker 1: at the amusement park and you're in the line and
- 4:14Speaker 1: you forget something, if you politely ask the person behind you, hey, man,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I gotta run to my car left something, would you
- 4:20Speaker 1: hold my place? Most people say, fine, you gotta go ahead,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and when you come back, they don't have a problem.
- 4:24Speaker 1: See your problem is is you want to get out
- 4:27Speaker 1: the line, go do something, then come back and just
- 4:30Speaker 1: get up in the line further up than you were,
- 4:32Speaker 1: or cut somebody. Now you got a problem because see
- 4:34Speaker 1: everybody looking at you now, like hey, wall partner, where
- 4:37Speaker 1: you come from? You know the line start back here?
- 4:40Speaker 1: But see the thing with God is God don't do that.
- 4:43Speaker 1: God don't say the line start back here. God holds
- 4:46Speaker 1: your place. When you make a mistake and you fall
- 4:49Speaker 1: off the line, God holds your place. But if you
- 4:52Speaker 1: ain't got no dreams aspiration, if you ain't got no
- 4:55Speaker 1: place what he holding for you. See, I mean, he
- 4:59Speaker 1: got a place for you, but you gotta come to it. See,
- 5:01Speaker 1: some people if well, here's what I'm saying. If you
- 5:05Speaker 1: got a goal or aspiration to dream and you fall
- 5:08Speaker 1: off track momentarily, you can get back to that because
- 5:13Speaker 1: God knows where you're left off. Now you may have
- 5:16Speaker 1: to accomplish a few more things since you stop for
- 5:19Speaker 1: a long period of time, but God know where you
- 5:21Speaker 1: left off, you can get back on track. I look, man,
- 5:24Speaker 1: this dream of being on TV since I was a kid,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and it got off track. Now it got off track.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I just kept it as one of the dreams. And
- 5:34Speaker 1: in some real dog moments when it looked like it
- 5:37Speaker 1: wasn't gonna happen, all I was hanging on to was
- 5:40Speaker 1: just a hope that one day it could. But that's
- 5:43Speaker 1: what faith is really about. Faith is the belief in
- 5:46Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. But faith gives you the
- 5:50Speaker 1: confidence to keep hoping. Man, Sometimes it just keep hope alive.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Sometimes you heard Jesse Jackson said, just keep hope alive sometimes,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and it's just the hope. I was hanging on the hope.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I'm talking about when it got real ugly and
- 6:07Speaker 1: funky out there for me when it looked like I
- 6:10Speaker 1: wasn't gonna ever make it, and all of the facts
- 6:14Speaker 1: was in and everything pointed in the direction you're not
- 6:17Speaker 1: gonna make it. You didn't really messed up this time.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Then I sat there and I just hung on to
- 6:22Speaker 1: the hope. But man, that's what I'm saying. If you
- 6:26Speaker 1: got a dream on aspiration of vision or something, when
- 6:30Speaker 1: you fall off track and you want to go get
- 6:33Speaker 1: back in line, God holds your place. He knew I
- 6:37Speaker 1: was off tracking how the line, but he said, okay,
- 6:39Speaker 1: here's where we stopped. You want to be on TV
- 6:42Speaker 1: that when you get it together and you quit tripping
- 6:44Speaker 1: and you come in your turn to me, I'm gonna
- 6:46Speaker 1: hold your place, put your back in line. Then we're
- 6:48Speaker 1: gonna finish your journey. That took me a lot longer
- 6:50Speaker 1: to get here than I wanted to, but then it
- 6:52Speaker 1: was necessary because I needed all of the mishaps to
- 6:55Speaker 1: happen to me along the way. So when I got
- 6:58Speaker 1: on the radio one day, which I didn't I see coming.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all. That's why I
- 7:03Speaker 1: say it every day. See, because of this radio show
- 7:06Speaker 1: that I didn't see coming. Now I have stories to tell,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and I can tell you about me better than I
- 7:11Speaker 1: can tell you about anybody. And I haven't been through
- 7:15Speaker 1: enough whereas relatable, where enough people can go. Man, that
- 7:19Speaker 1: happened to me. Appreciate you saying that that's what it
- 7:22Speaker 1: was for. See, I get it now. See at the time,
- 7:24Speaker 1: though I didn't like what was happening to me. At
- 7:27Speaker 1: the time, I was really in total disagreement with God
- 7:30Speaker 1: on a lot of stuff he was pulling off on me.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 7:39Speaker 1: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 7:44Speaker 1: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 7:49Speaker 1: there indeed wrong. He forgave me, He said, because man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: if you ever come to me, I have a plan
- 7:56Speaker 1: for you that it's going to be far and above.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 8:04Speaker 1: I did. I just got sick of me, good and
- 8:07Speaker 1: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And then God started working And here I am today
- 8:14Speaker 1: now as He threw it me. Yet nope, Have I
- 8:17Speaker 1: arrived yet? Nope? But guess what the journey is cool?
- 8:23Speaker 1: And then you know what I found out. That's kind
- 8:25Speaker 1: of what it's like in life. If you don't walked
- 8:28Speaker 1: off the cliff in life and you ain't got no
- 8:31Speaker 1: God in your life, it's like not having a parachute.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You step off the cliff and you just free falling.
- 8:39Speaker 1: We all now that fall gets you closer to the grave,
- 8:41Speaker 1: right see, were all heading to the grave from the
- 8:44Speaker 1: moment we're born. But the cool thing about a relationship
- 8:46Speaker 1: with God is when you step off the cliff and
- 8:49Speaker 1: you got God here a parachute. You're still going down,
- 8:53Speaker 1: but it's a nice ride. You guide and you're glad,
- 8:57Speaker 1: and you're softly, you enjoying your look around, smiling. You're
- 9:00Speaker 1: meeting other people along the way. You're floating over here
- 9:04Speaker 1: to skale a little while. You over there at the
- 9:07Speaker 1: beach for a little while, you mess around over here,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you get to go out the country a little bit
- 9:12Speaker 1: on your parachuting all and God just helps your your
- 9:15Speaker 1: descent appear more like a rise and then more like
- 9:18Speaker 1: a euphoric fall. Instead of not having no God in
- 9:22Speaker 1: your life and you just walking off that cliff every day,
- 9:26Speaker 1: free falling. Ain't got no cored you, steady pulling, you,
- 9:30Speaker 1: hauling the whole way because you to mess around with
- 9:32Speaker 1: yourself and ain't let God come into your life and
- 9:35Speaker 1: provide a parachute for you. I would rather have a
- 9:39Speaker 1: parachute since I got to jump every day, than to
- 9:42Speaker 1: not have one. God has been like a parachute from me.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Ask me why where that came from? I can't tell you,
- 9:50Speaker 1: But like I always say, most good things that happened
- 9:53Speaker 1: in my life that I can't explain, it's usually him.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening right, everybody. You're about to listen to the
- 10:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. I am jam Fanny Brown. But
- 10:06Speaker 1: before we start to show, what I want you to
- 10:08Speaker 1: do right now is apologize. Apologize till Monday, because the
- 10:12Speaker 1: day is Tuesday. Ain't that right, shut of Strawberry? That's right? Jay, Hey, Tuesday, Monday.
- 10:19Speaker 1: We sa ari read sorry for everything we said? Come around.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You want to apologize to Monday? Okay? My bad? Monday?
- 10:28Speaker 1: My bad? My bad? What's up? Good morning? Everybody? Hate
- 10:32Speaker 1: Good morning everybody? It's Tuesday, Junior. You want to apologize? Man? No,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm in what I said about Monday morning, but can't
- 10:40Speaker 1: go back, can't go back and last but night least
- 10:43Speaker 1: it is the king of pranks. Time it what's going on? Man? Morning, morning, baby,
- 10:47Speaker 1: time of the morning. It is Tuesday. And I ain't
- 10:50Speaker 1: nothing wrong when Monday or Tuesday. If you if you
- 10:54Speaker 1: niked it all right with May Wow, naked, Monday, naked Tuesday,
- 10:59Speaker 1: nick with we just got here these the naked y'all
- 11:09Speaker 1: just put them clothes on. So let's quit acting like y'all.
- 11:14Speaker 1: We not in a shower and your naked for a
- 11:19Speaker 1: long time because you don't know what you're gonna wear
- 11:20Speaker 1: the work, so you just shit that naked, just be
- 11:23Speaker 1: in the closet, just ripping wash. Okay, let me let
- 11:27Speaker 1: me say this shake. If I cannot go to bed
- 11:30Speaker 1: without knowing what I'm gonna put on the next day,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I can. I can. I'm with you. I'm with you,
- 11:38Speaker 1: that schoolboy mentality. Everything you lay it out, Yeah it's
- 11:41Speaker 1: laid out. Well, yeah most times I laid out. But
- 11:44Speaker 1: if I don't lay it out, it's laid out in
- 11:46Speaker 1: my mind. I can go right to it and grab it. Yes,
- 11:49Speaker 1: and you don't have to do it hunt up. Yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I have to know what I'm gonna wear the next day.
- 11:53Speaker 1: That's my niggest issue in getting ready for anything. What
- 11:57Speaker 1: am I gonna wear? No, it's not my hair, my makeup,
- 12:02Speaker 1: the SOPs in the shoes. I got the draws balled
- 12:05Speaker 1: up in the other pair of shoes. Yeah what what? What? Why?
- 12:11Speaker 1: Why the draws balled up? Though? I want to know
- 12:14Speaker 1: my drawers at that's one thing you can't be searching.
- 12:19Speaker 1: At least they don't have to be ball holding. Well
- 12:22Speaker 1: you when they ball up time, you take them and
- 12:24Speaker 1: you pop them to the winds and then you put
- 12:26Speaker 1: them on. You don't have to have a wrinkle underwear.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You really don't. But here's a little tip about putting
- 12:33Speaker 1: on your underwear. I've reached the age now and maybe
- 12:36Speaker 1: you guys have I don't know. Well now, I remember
- 12:39Speaker 1: back in the day when you was like in a rush,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you to just jump in your draws. Man, I better sit.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Ain't no more standing jas man. Tell you know what
- 12:54Speaker 1: that's like. That's like that's like tying your shoes. You know,
- 12:57Speaker 1: if you tie your shoes up too fast, you guys
- 13:01Speaker 1: can have a handache. Yes, have so much to look forward.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Let me just tell you y'all got the point you
- 13:10Speaker 1: start holding your breath to tie your shoe. No, but
- 13:16Speaker 1: I do know this guy that that his shoe strings
- 13:19Speaker 1: are on the inside of his shoes, like where his
- 13:21Speaker 1: instep is. They're they're They're not in the middle, they're
- 13:24Speaker 1: on the side because that's how he had to tie him,
- 13:27Speaker 1: because he can barely get that leg up to that meat.
- 13:32Speaker 1: All right, guys, coming up at thirty two after the hour,
- 13:35Speaker 1: the worst things people have seen at weddings. Oh, Jay,
- 13:39Speaker 1: that's coming up right after this you're listening to al Right, guys,
- 13:48Speaker 1: it's time for something funny. And while weddings are generally
- 13:51Speaker 1: happy occasions for most of us on this show, hut, Yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 1: what are you in it for? A time? A team
- 14:04Speaker 1: j I'm team timing. I'm with Jake, all right. So,
- 14:10Speaker 1: while weddings are generally happy occasions, like I said, from
- 14:14Speaker 1: most of us on the show, not every affair goes
- 14:17Speaker 1: off without a hitch. In fact, sometimes some pretty shocking
- 14:20Speaker 1: things happen when people are about to say I do.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And now people are sharing a new Reddit thread or
- 14:25Speaker 1: survey that has people sharing the worst things they've seen
- 14:28Speaker 1: happen at a wedding I'll give you an example. Bride
- 14:31Speaker 1: and groom at the all true, the minister said, we're
- 14:33Speaker 1: in the presence of family and friends who are all
- 14:35Speaker 1: here to give this union their blessing, to which the
- 14:38Speaker 1: groom's mother stood up and said, nope, not everyone. I
- 14:42Speaker 1: can not give this my blessing. Yeah the groom's mom, Yeah, wow.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Anything crazy jay happened, yeah, lot. I can give you
- 14:57Speaker 1: three examples of something happening crazy at three times. One
- 15:01Speaker 1: the very first wedding, I said I do, the second
- 15:04Speaker 1: wedding I said I do, and the third wedding I
- 15:09Speaker 1: said I do. Those were three of the craziest things.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But let me tell you. On my third wedding, my
- 15:14Speaker 1: daughter said to me, because she kind of sensed that
- 15:16Speaker 1: this one's gonna work out, she said, Dad, we can
- 15:20Speaker 1: leave right now and have a party and don't worry
- 15:22Speaker 1: about a damn thing. To her advice. All right, here's
- 15:30Speaker 1: another crazy moment that happened at a wedding. When the
- 15:33Speaker 1: father of the groom stood up to make the toast,
- 15:36Speaker 1: he asked his wife in front of everyone to confirm
- 15:39Speaker 1: that he was not the father of the groom didn't tell,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but he asked his wife his wife didn't utter a word.
- 15:53Speaker 1: She did not let people know that everybody. Yet she
- 15:55Speaker 1: was people. He wanted to say that. Yet you told
- 16:04Speaker 1: me we're gonna, we're gonna get this out today. Now
- 16:09Speaker 1: we all got nice clothes. I don't tell them. Hey,
- 16:13Speaker 1: let me tell y'all something. This is something I saw
- 16:17Speaker 1: at a wedding. I saw this for myself. I was
- 16:19Speaker 1: at a lion brother of mine got married. I mean,
- 16:23Speaker 1: we're in Austin, Texas, my lion brother getting married, and
- 16:26Speaker 1: we are we are at the reception. Now, all of
- 16:30Speaker 1: us have been in church before where something happens and
- 16:33Speaker 1: you just can't quit laughing. Right, someh having church and
- 16:38Speaker 1: you just can't quit laughing. So you know, you know
- 16:42Speaker 1: the ceremonies, great man, we are at the reception. They
- 16:47Speaker 1: got candles lit where the buffet food is and you're
- 16:52Speaker 1: coming down the aisle. You know, you're a single file line.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You're getting your food. You're getting your food. This late
- 17:00Speaker 1: lean over to get some food and h half. And
- 17:06Speaker 1: you saw for yourself. I'm talking about I'm talking my
- 17:10Speaker 1: it's little, it's with father, but it's five people beating
- 17:16Speaker 1: her head trying to put the fire. Terrible, but you
- 17:21Speaker 1: know they fought. They got the fire. Not a whole
- 17:24Speaker 1: reception place smell like burnt half. Wow, I was all
- 17:30Speaker 1: the flow I was in. I was in my twenties,
- 17:36Speaker 1: you know, I'm something funny. I'm just gone, wow boy.
- 17:40Speaker 1: And all you heard was she had a lot of
- 17:50Speaker 1: hair spray. Huh. It must spend something that ignited then
- 17:59Speaker 1: when I do have one, though I do, I haven't
- 18:05Speaker 1: talked about my mom with My mom got married the
- 18:07Speaker 1: second time. He got married out in the yard. Okay
- 18:12Speaker 1: we over yeah, well no, we're in the front yard.
- 18:15Speaker 1: But she had the walk. We don't have rolls of chairs.
- 18:19Speaker 1: People just put up a chair wherever they wanted. So
- 18:22Speaker 1: her walk to the altar was going through people just
- 18:27Speaker 1: around in the yard. Ain't no rolls, none of that.
- 18:31Speaker 1: She just came out the front door of the house
- 18:34Speaker 1: like we didn't know she was in that. And then
- 18:37Speaker 1: they next to the railroad tracks. So we're in the neighborhood.
- 18:41Speaker 1: So soon as the minna said we had gathered here
- 18:43Speaker 1: today for this, and then the trade came and the
- 18:49Speaker 1: trade was ten minutes, so we got to wait. Then
- 18:54Speaker 1: other cars are pulling up waiting for trade to pass.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Now you got cars, motorcycle, all this stuff happening in
- 19:02Speaker 1: the yard. That was the longest served. The trade backed up. Naw,
- 19:08Speaker 1: it's coming back, said she ain't. I'll never get this way.
- 19:18Speaker 1: It was in the yard man, cools, light bottles everywhere,
- 19:22Speaker 1: fun like bottles everywhere. Man, we just I can't, I said,
- 19:26Speaker 1: just my mom, divide, Ask me who gives whole away?
- 19:28Speaker 1: I didn't say nothing. I was a shaked, but just
- 19:36Speaker 1: trying to get up there to the tree. Nobody moving
- 19:40Speaker 1: out the man. She taking her time, yall front yard,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you have a big front yard. It was. It was
- 19:47Speaker 1: overad his house, at my dad's house, so he had
- 19:50Speaker 1: you know, he had a side yall the fact she
- 19:53Speaker 1: come out to the house and got a slide to
- 19:55Speaker 1: the left. Somebody didn't buy the part. Now she weaving
- 19:58Speaker 1: back right. It's all ain't got no roll, no no.
- 20:03Speaker 1: He came out to tell you. Now you that the
- 20:04Speaker 1: screen don't just pop out, come behind right out the house.
- 20:09Speaker 1: The music, the music, Yeah till me pish cup. All right.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Listen coming up next, run that prank back with the nephew.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show coming
- 20:29Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Entertainment news James
- 20:33Speaker 1: bond Is the movie is more Woke. We'll tell you
- 20:37Speaker 1: about that. We have a new seven, it seems. But first,
- 20:41Speaker 1: the nephew in the building with run that prank back
- 20:44Speaker 1: what you got for his nap? You didn't fall and
- 20:47Speaker 1: you ain't getting no money? Yeah, na fall, you ain't
- 20:55Speaker 1: no money? Nah out un fall and you ain't getting
- 21:03Speaker 1: no money. Let's go catch hell. I'm trying to reach
- 21:08Speaker 1: a Glinda and place. How you doing. My name is Brad.

- 22:57Speaker 1: anything wrong with you you. I don't think that you
- 23:00Speaker 1: have a problem. I think that there's something that you
- 23:02Speaker 1: deliberately did in one of our stores. I could care
- 23:06Speaker 1: less about what you think what happened was that was
- 23:10Speaker 1: on the floor. I fail. I'm gonna they don't have
- 23:14Speaker 1: to pay for the claim either way. Go No, we're
- 23:16Speaker 1: not gonna actually, man, what I'm gonna have to do
- 23:19Speaker 1: is get you to come down and sign uh an
- 23:21Speaker 1: agreement nowhere. Yes, I'm gonna need you to come down
- 23:24Speaker 1: and sign an agreement that you actually made this whole
- 23:28Speaker 1: thing up, and I need that in wrong, I'm not

- 33:06Speaker 1: They can leave now. It doesn't say leave forever. Every
- 33:10Speaker 1: single statement that we make is from a place of
- 33:14Speaker 1: extreme love for every single person in this country. It
- 33:18Speaker 1: is part of the mandate of why we ran for
- 33:21Speaker 1: office and why we got elected. By the way, ilhan
- 33:24Speaker 1: Omar was born in Somalia, but was made a citizen
- 33:26Speaker 1: when she was a teenager. The other three women were
- 33:29Speaker 1: born in America. In the US, some people are calling

- 33:35Speaker 1: while say they're going to suit a block a new
- 33:37Speaker 1: Trump administration rule that would get rid of a silent
- 33:39Speaker 1: protection from most migrants who arrive in the US via
- 33:42Speaker 1: the Mexico border. The new rules take effect to day.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Under it, most migrants who passed through another country on
- 33:48Speaker 1: their way to the US would be ineligible for asylum,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and that it would effectively put an end to asylent
- 33:54Speaker 1: protection from migrants safe from Central America because they have
- 33:56Speaker 1: to stop, you know, at the border in Mexico as
- 33:59Speaker 1: they make their trek here, so they're saying you would
- 34:01Speaker 1: have to stop there and get asylum, and you can't
- 34:04Speaker 1: go any further. The ACU plans to challenge is, saying
- 34:07Speaker 1: it's extreme and patently unlawful. Protesters gathered in washing DC
- 34:11Speaker 1: yesterday tried push for the US Department of Justice to

- 34:20Speaker 1: government to open a case over mister Garner's death, which
- 34:23Speaker 1: the medical examiner did rule a homicide. Eric Garner, a grandfather,
- 34:27Speaker 1: was suspected of selling loose cigarettes on the street that
- 34:30Speaker 1: was it and was surrounded and arrested by these four cops,
- 34:33Speaker 1: with a fifth, Daniel Pandalio, putting him in an illegal
- 34:36Speaker 1: chokehold while other cops jumped on top of him even
- 34:39Speaker 1: as he kept saying I can't breathe. Staaten Island jury
- 34:42Speaker 1: declined to indict Pantalao, but he awaits a decision from
- 34:45Speaker 1: a departmental trial. Hawk Knewsom, the president of Black Lives Matter,
- 34:48Speaker 1: says if no charges are followed by today, quote we'll
- 34:51Speaker 1: shut down the city. Knewsom tells ABC that every Democratic
- 34:54Speaker 1: politician is running around talking about immigration. He says, we
- 34:58Speaker 1: care about immigration, but they forgot about black lives matter.
- 35:03Speaker 1: The House meanwhile, votes on whether to officially condemn the
- 35:06Speaker 1: President Trump Obase leaves the country, remarks by the way.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Later on R Kelly doing a federal court in Chicago. Today,
- 35:12Speaker 1: sad news from the world to boxing. Purnell Whittaker has
- 35:15Speaker 1: been run over and killed at age fifty five. Authority
- 35:17Speaker 1: sayt Pernell Sweepee Whittaker hit by a vehicle on a
- 35:20Speaker 1: corner Virginia Beach on Sunday night. Pronounced dead at the scene.
- 35:24Speaker 1: He won four world titles and four world division titles,
- 35:27Speaker 1: and he also had a gold medal at the nineteen
- 35:29Speaker 1: eighty four Olympics. Today National Guinea Pig Jay. They like
- 35:34Speaker 1: to do lots of things. Not back to the Steve
- 35:35Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show Well. R Kelly's
- 35:40Speaker 1: girlfriends or alleged sex slaves did a video from his
- 35:44Speaker 1: condo and they say they are fine. Joycelyn Savage and
- 35:47Speaker 1: Asrielle Clary set the record straight on where they've been
- 35:51Speaker 1: since R Kelly was arrested, and they say nothing has changed.
- 35:56Speaker 1: They even give a glimpse of the view from the
- 35:59Speaker 1: high rise apart meant showing off the Chicago skyline. Take
- 36:03Speaker 1: a listen to this. We actually just read an article
- 36:07Speaker 1: saying that, um, we were evicted from the Trump and
- 36:10Speaker 1: um saying that you know, we were under emergency living
- 36:13Speaker 1: and all kinds of stuff like that. We just wanted
- 36:15Speaker 1: to let you guys know that that is not true.
- 36:17Speaker 1: We are here. We are at the Trump um and UM.
- 36:20Speaker 1: You know, Joyce parents are all over social media. Yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 1: they know where I'm at. Yeah, we've been here at
- 36:26Speaker 1: the Trump. You know, we've been here for years. Um.
- 36:29Speaker 1: We move freely, We come and go freely. We actually
- 36:32Speaker 1: just left out this morning and nobody said anything to us.
- 36:35Speaker 1: You know, no one stopped us, no one you know,
- 36:38Speaker 1: harass us or anything like that. So, UM, we just
- 36:41Speaker 1: wanted to clear that up and let you guys know
- 36:43Speaker 1: that that is fake news. And do not believe everything
- 36:46Speaker 1: that you hear. I make a prediction. What about everything
- 36:50Speaker 1: we see? Yeah, yeah, I hope y'all looking for boxes
- 36:53Speaker 1: because y'all ain't gonna be that long to you. Wow,
- 36:56Speaker 1: you mean in that department, that apartment? Then not don't
- 37:00Speaker 1: be loane. Well, I mean the tape shows that they're
- 37:06Speaker 1: okay and you know where they are. Yeah, you know
- 37:09Speaker 1: they're not hiding as to where they are. You know,
- 37:12Speaker 1: her parents, Miss Savage parents were all on social media.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Where is my daughter? There? She is right now a
- 37:19Speaker 1: Trump now own video and there the Trump that's what
- 37:23Speaker 1: they trump. Yeah, that's what it is, all right, So
- 37:27Speaker 1: I'm saying, yeah, it really is. And R. Kelly was
- 37:30Speaker 1: arrested last Thursday. We all remember that on new federal
- 37:34Speaker 1: charges including racketeering and sex trafficking and obstruction of justice.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Of course that's on top of the state charges he's
- 37:40Speaker 1: already facing in Cook County in Chicago. So um, he's
- 37:45Speaker 1: got a lot of a lot of charges. And like
- 37:48Speaker 1: we were saying yesterday, and people continue to say, if
- 37:52Speaker 1: he's convicted, he's going to see some prison time. I
- 37:56Speaker 1: should yeah, yeah, absolutely, one hundred person, This is so
- 38:02Speaker 1: sad to say. Girls, Yeah call it that documentary is
- 38:06Speaker 1: what really very just surviving R Kelly? Yeah yeah, put
- 38:10Speaker 1: this on Front Street. People didn't know, and we were
- 38:12Speaker 1: fans of his music saying yeah yeah. And did they
- 38:16Speaker 1: refute did they say anything, um about the suicide pact
- 38:20Speaker 1: they supposedly had in this new interview that we heard,
- 38:24Speaker 1: They didn't say anything in that. Yeah, because we heard
- 38:27Speaker 1: about that yesterday where the girl said, if if anything
- 38:30Speaker 1: happens to our Kelly, they had a suicide pact, which
- 38:33Speaker 1: was crazy and sad and unelievable. Didn't believe it in
- 38:38Speaker 1: the other set of parents did. So, yeah, we have
- 38:42Speaker 1: to anyway, all right, we're gonna move on. Yeah, they do.
- 38:47Speaker 1: The victims. Coming up next at thirty four after the
- 38:51Speaker 1: hour Trending Political News, the four Democratic congresswoman respond to

- 39:05Speaker 1: you about the President's racially charged tweet telling four congresswomen
- 39:08Speaker 1: of color to go back to where they came from. Yesterday,
- 39:11Speaker 1: the four Democratic congressman held a news conference at the
- 39:14Speaker 1: Capitol to respond to the president. Congresswoman Alexandria Okazio Cortez

- 39:25Speaker 1: and Rashida Talib from Michigan. Also Ayana Presley from Massachusetts
- 39:30Speaker 1: all responded. Presley said, I encourage the Americans people, and
- 39:34Speaker 1: all of us in this room and beyond to not
- 39:37Speaker 1: take this bait. Omar said the president's agenda is the
- 39:40Speaker 1: agenda of white nationalists. Ok Okazio Cortez had a message
- 39:46Speaker 1: for American children, No matter what the president says, this
- 39:49Speaker 1: country belongs to you and it belongs to everyone. Representative
- 39:53Speaker 1: Talib said the president's attacks are simply a continuation of
- 39:59Speaker 1: his race this and xenophobic playbook. Wow. Yeah. And a
- 40:03Speaker 1: lot of people are saying this is a distraction because
- 40:05Speaker 1: of what's going on at the border as well. You know,
- 40:09Speaker 1: I don't all the other stuff everything, yeah, everything, it's
- 40:14Speaker 1: a distraction for all of that, and it's bad. This
- 40:18Speaker 1: is this is bad. Yeah, well this is horrible. Okazi
- 40:23Speaker 1: or Cortez is from Brooklyn, right, yeah, so so three
- 40:27Speaker 1: of them are from the United States except one was
- 40:29Speaker 1: born out of this country. But the problem is no,
- 40:32Speaker 1: not not one. Republican has said nobody born in Somalia.
- 40:37Speaker 1: And she became a citizen when she was a teen.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Ye right, yeah, she's a citizens. Yeah, this is scandal
- 40:45Speaker 1: for real. The TV show This is scandal for real.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Keep one scandal in House of Cards, right, only ten
- 40:57Speaker 1: times worth? And racism this is oh yeah, it's definitely
- 41:01Speaker 1: raced back to where you come from. Yeah. Yeah, people
- 41:05Speaker 1: heard that back in the day, and you know, that's
- 41:07Speaker 1: what they were saying to all the blacks back in
- 41:09Speaker 1: the day, and everybody always should go back the way.
- 41:11Speaker 1: But I mean, you know, it's one thing. It's yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 1: and it's one thing, Jay that he said it. But
- 41:17Speaker 1: the fact that he's comfortable in saying stuff like that,
- 41:21Speaker 1: like it's okay for these things to come out of
- 41:23Speaker 1: his mouth. What are other Republicans saying about this? Nothing?
- 41:26Speaker 1: But like we just said there saying, have you heard?
- 41:32Speaker 1: Are you surprised? No? I mean Graham used to have
- 41:39Speaker 1: a set, but he launched his I don't know what
- 41:41Speaker 1: happened to him. Man. You know, as much as Trump
- 41:48Speaker 1: has talked about his best friend, May he rest in peace,
- 41:51Speaker 1: John McCain, Lindsey Graham, ain't said not nothing, no, not one,
- 41:57Speaker 1: wouldn't say anything about He didn't even stand up for
- 41:59Speaker 1: his boy on you know that. I mean, that's what
- 42:01Speaker 1: I'm saying. You're right, your friend, yeah, your dead friend.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I mean, come on, you and your best they were
- 42:10Speaker 1: best they were best friends. Yeah. So that's but I
- 42:14Speaker 1: really hope that is up for re election and as
- 42:18Speaker 1: a young man in South Carolina that's running against him,
- 42:21Speaker 1: and I really hope he beats his pants off, and
- 42:24Speaker 1: he is. I think his last name is Alan, I'm
- 42:25Speaker 1: not sure, but that's my homestead. I really hope he
- 42:30Speaker 1: beats the dogments out of Lindsay Graham and get him
- 42:33Speaker 1: out of there because he needs to go. He really
- 42:35Speaker 1: needs to go. Agreed. Agreed. Well, um, I mean you
- 42:40Speaker 1: know the cure to that. The answer for that people
- 42:43Speaker 1: we have to vote. Vote. We have to register and
- 42:46Speaker 1: then we have to vote. If we're not registered, if
- 42:48Speaker 1: we've moved, if we've changed our addresses, all of that,
- 42:51Speaker 1: we have to register again, and then we have to vote.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I don't know how you can sit back and watch
- 42:56Speaker 1: this and not vote when this time, if you sat
- 42:59Speaker 1: back and watch this last three years, surely you're gonna
- 43:01Speaker 1: be trying to vote, motivate it. You should be running.
- 43:05Speaker 1: You should be open. You know how to tickets to
- 43:10Speaker 1: a concert? Call yeah, or like when you getting some
- 43:15Speaker 1: Jordan's yeah, uh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna need you.
- 43:25Speaker 1: All right. Well, I did find one Republican representative, Fred
- 43:29Speaker 1: Upston of Michigan. He was among those who said he
- 43:32Speaker 1: was appalled by the president's tweets. There's no excuse, so
- 43:38Speaker 1: that's yeah, that's good. That's all right. If you're as
- 43:45Speaker 1: mad as we are, please keep the comments coming on
- 43:48Speaker 1: all social media at Steve Harvey f M. Switching Gear's
- 43:51Speaker 1: nephew up next with a prank phone call for today
- 43:54Speaker 1: coming up right after this you're listening to all right,
- 43:59Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:01Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, subject
- 44:05Speaker 1: there's no way you can meet my family right now
- 44:11Speaker 1: though the nephew is up. That's wrong with today's prank
- 44:17Speaker 1: phone call? Or I'm gonna let you know, Jay nephew's
- 44:21Speaker 1: here with today's prank phone call. What you got nev Well, Shirley,
- 44:25Speaker 1: You know that comes a time when you know you're
- 44:28Speaker 1: gonna pass away. But the church has this thing called
- 44:34Speaker 1: make a Wish Ministry, and you can call the church
- 44:38Speaker 1: and sometimes they will try to feel that boy, they
- 44:42Speaker 1: will feel that wish that you have. They will grant
- 44:46Speaker 1: you that wish. This is make a wish Ministry. Come on, kay, Baptist,
- 44:55Speaker 1: this is Terrence Man. I help you please, Brother Terence. Yeah,
- 44:59Speaker 1: how you doing? Got your your number? You you with
- 45:02Speaker 1: the over the church? You went to make a witch ministry? Yes,
- 45:05Speaker 1: I am I'm gonna help him. Well, listen, I'm I'm
- 45:08Speaker 1: I'm actually uh, I'm I'm terminally ill. Brothers brother Terence,
- 45:14Speaker 1: and I don't you know, as far as what the
- 45:18Speaker 1: doctors tell me, it could be six months, another year,
- 45:23Speaker 1: But I know my time here is definitely limited. You know. Well,
- 45:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry to hear that, but we're definitely here to
- 45:31Speaker 1: help you out with whatever you need or whatever we
- 45:34Speaker 1: can help you with. So what can we do for you? Well,
- 45:37Speaker 1: you know, I truly believe that sometimes people have you know,
- 45:41Speaker 1: I've seen one of the mold movies they got with
- 45:43Speaker 1: it got a bucket list or whatever they called it.
- 45:45Speaker 1: You know, people trying to do things before they leave here.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I guess I'm just sitting around trying to figure out
- 45:51Speaker 1: what I could do and what I wanted to do
- 45:53Speaker 1: before I left this world and went on to what
- 45:57Speaker 1: he asked for me. Nixt. You know, I don't believe
- 46:00Speaker 1: in doing anything unless it's prayed on first. Oh yeah,
- 46:05Speaker 1: if you don't mind, maybe you can. You know, before
- 46:08Speaker 1: I can tell you my wish, we prayed that the
- 46:10Speaker 1: wish would come true. You you you're not doing anything
- 46:13Speaker 1: like that. Oh, no, I don't mind praying that's what
- 46:16Speaker 1: we're here for. Bow your head with him. Yes, Yr sir,
- 46:21Speaker 1: is your head, boy, your sir, your sir. O the God.
- 46:24Speaker 1: We come to you in the umeless way. We know
- 46:27Speaker 1: how Lord, we ask you to touch this young man
- 46:30Speaker 1: and every which way he hurt, and then we ask
- 46:33Speaker 1: you to deliver him for whatever is going on with
- 46:36Speaker 1: him and let him know that we the church is
- 46:39Speaker 1: here to help him with whatever his needs is in
- 46:42Speaker 1: his last days. And Jesus's name, I prayed, say Amen
- 46:46Speaker 1: with him a man, it's gonna do it here. Now
- 46:51Speaker 1: you a member of the church here of New Well.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I was a member. I still consider myself a member.
- 46:58Speaker 1: It's just been quite something time, probably over a year
- 47:01Speaker 1: and a half, two years, as I've been able to come,
- 47:03Speaker 1: you know, through to my my illness. But definitely I
- 47:07Speaker 1: will remember that. Well, that's all right. We're not worried
- 47:10Speaker 1: about all that. We just here to take care of
- 47:13Speaker 1: your last and final wish. That's what our minister is for,
- 47:17Speaker 1: you know. We helps people with with with anything they need.
- 47:21Speaker 1: You know, like what what all I mean when when
- 47:23Speaker 1: people call them won't say what all of you you are?
- 47:26Speaker 1: What all of y'all helped them with Well, we've helped
- 47:30Speaker 1: them with the rent. Uh, take them to the store,
- 47:35Speaker 1: help them with a utility bill, come out and cut
- 47:37Speaker 1: the grass, anything like that they just can't do. Take
- 47:41Speaker 1: them to the doctor's appointment. Anything we'd like to help
- 47:44Speaker 1: them with, we do exactly. Then Okay, well I pretty
- 47:48Speaker 1: much got those things taken care of. I think what
- 47:51Speaker 1: I'd like to do between you and and myself botherding
- 47:56Speaker 1: that I've never told anyone what I'm about to tell you.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I've never been with a with with a woman to
- 48:03Speaker 1: call I'm you know, I'm thirty eight, but I've never
- 48:09Speaker 1: been with a woman. Well, I guess that might be
- 48:12Speaker 1: a blessing. You might you might be PERI that's a
- 48:14Speaker 1: good thing. Well, you know, but sometimes you know, I
- 48:18Speaker 1: give before I leave. I guess that's a desire that
- 48:21Speaker 1: I have. And and and uh, what I wanted to
- 48:24Speaker 1: ask you was there is a lady there at the
- 48:27Speaker 1: church and before I leave, I think that's the woman
- 48:33Speaker 1: that I would actually like to be with. Well, I
- 48:37Speaker 1: don't know if Make a Wish Ministry can support that
- 48:40Speaker 1: kind of stuff, but uh, go ahead, let me hear.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Okay that the lady that I'm actually interested in Actually,
- 48:47Speaker 1: uh she works at the church too. Oh well, I
- 48:51Speaker 1: see she's doneim at all. When she's about five nine
- 48:54Speaker 1: and she's probably about a size eight, beautiful long leagues
- 48:59Speaker 1: man and and and sandy type of hair, sandy color
- 49:03Speaker 1: for sandy brown man and I mean she looked like careman.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Hold on a minute, what's her name? I think her
- 49:12Speaker 1: name Linda? Now hold on, that's my wife? What you
- 49:16Speaker 1: mean go ahead and see? Wait wait wait wait wait
- 49:19Speaker 1: wait wait Linda your wife? Yeah, that's my wife? You sorvince?
- 49:23Speaker 1: What do you mean? Listen, y'all are ministry now. Now,
- 49:28Speaker 1: if y'all supposed to be taking care of people, don't
- 49:30Speaker 1: make a wish and and taking care of what they
- 49:32Speaker 1: want before they leave this world. If that's my wish,
- 49:34Speaker 1: what is the problem listening here? You didn't cross every
- 49:37Speaker 1: line there was about this man, So I don't give
- 49:40Speaker 1: a damn about it. I'm you're talking about sleeping with
- 49:42Speaker 1: my Like if I see y'all gonna do something to you,
- 49:45Speaker 1: they ain't gonna even be able to recognize you. So
- 49:48Speaker 1: what the you talking about? Missing with my wife? Son
- 49:51Speaker 1: of am? I called miss Linda myself and see it,
- 49:53Speaker 1: you know, I have a problem. Wasn't helping me make
- 49:55Speaker 1: my wish come true? And calling you won't call no
- 50:00Speaker 1: nobody else that it be the last called you make.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I thought y'all were here to relieve people so they
- 50:07Speaker 1: can enjoy themselves before they leave this world. You talk
- 50:11Speaker 1: about sleeping with my wife? Are you crazy? But but
- 50:13Speaker 1: if I'm going to leave here, ain't nobody gonna know?
- 50:16Speaker 1: But you want hut? I don't care if you die.
- 50:19Speaker 1: I don't care. You ain't sleeping with my wife and
- 50:21Speaker 1: your food with her. You probably gonna go ahead and
- 50:24Speaker 1: die quicker than you need to. I thought this was
- 50:27Speaker 1: a ministry. I don't feel you now you won't. They're
- 50:29Speaker 1: telling me about God. Y'all supposed to be a ministry
- 50:32Speaker 1: that helps people before they leave a word or what
- 50:35Speaker 1: it is. But you talk about sleeping with my wife.
- 50:37Speaker 1: You got an illness? But something must be wrong with
- 50:39Speaker 1: your brain talking about missing with man? Whe ain't nobody
- 50:42Speaker 1: don't even know? I've been what your wife wants. I'm
- 50:44Speaker 1: gonna there, ain't gonna beople the tool y'all. At least
- 50:47Speaker 1: you would have helped me before I left. Now I
- 50:49Speaker 1: can't help you with nothing, and let me tell you something.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I'm not the preacher, I'm not the past, I'm not
- 50:54Speaker 1: the deacon, I'm not none of them. But if you
- 50:56Speaker 1: mentioned my wife, you're gonna know who I am. I'm
- 50:58Speaker 1: gonna be the undertaker. Do you understand? I don't hear
- 51:01Speaker 1: what you say? But I got one more thing I
- 51:03Speaker 1: need to tell you about who I ain't who asked you?
- 51:06Speaker 1: Isn't it the go ahead? Let me? This is nephew
- 51:09Speaker 1: talk me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your wife,
- 51:14Speaker 1: y'all me the phrase sho no y'all tell me to
- 51:18Speaker 1: play out you roll y ain't recording. This is man's recorded,
- 51:27Speaker 1: every last bit of hammler. Last thing gonna hear? This
- 51:32Speaker 1: is Oh god, I got one more thing. What is
- 51:39Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the boo radio show in
- 51:42Speaker 1: the land, Steve Harving Morning Show. That might have been
- 51:51Speaker 1: a little too far, too much. The man's wife, the
- 51:57Speaker 1: man's wife. Well you know it could come a time though, Julian,
- 52:01Speaker 1: when't you making a way? I mean, Julia, the man
- 52:03Speaker 1: gonna pass away? Ain't nobody gonna know? Some people are
- 52:07Speaker 1: so selfish? Please, I just don't understand selfishness. Let somebody
- 52:13Speaker 1: have something that's yours. If they ain't gonna be here.
- 52:16Speaker 1: They from the league didn't have no words, speechless. You
- 52:24Speaker 1: can't go around saying that hurt you. The man is
- 52:28Speaker 1: dead calling some woman from the pass away. Okay, call
- 52:31Speaker 1: it later, fen the pass away ain't never been with
- 52:34Speaker 1: a man before. Huh. She probably got, you know, a
- 52:37Speaker 1: week on her dipping, got a week. She wants to
- 52:40Speaker 1: go on experience. She asked for tash. You ain't gonna
- 52:43Speaker 1: let that, let her have it, all right, You're just
- 52:54Speaker 1: gonna die, all right. Listen, Thank you nephew. Oh God,
- 53:01Speaker 1: coming up next? I know right, No, thank you nephew.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Coming up next the Strawberry Letters subject there is no
- 53:08Speaker 1: way he can meet my family. We'll get into that

- 53:26Speaker 1: click submit Strawberry a letter. We could be reading your
- 53:29Speaker 1: letter live on the air, just like we're gonna read
- 53:31Speaker 1: this one right here, right now today. Okay, let's go,
- 53:35Speaker 1: let's go, buckle up and hold on tight. We got
- 53:38Speaker 1: it for you here. It is the Strawberry letter, Thank
- 53:41Speaker 1: you nephew. So subject is there's no way he can
- 53:45Speaker 1: meet my family. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a twenty
- 53:49Speaker 1: seven year old woman and I've been dating a twenty
- 53:51Speaker 1: nine year old man for a year. We met in
- 53:53Speaker 1: graduate school and immediately hit it off. He wants to
- 53:57Speaker 1: start a business and I'm in the medical field, so
- 54:00Speaker 1: we both have big dreams and aspirations. We have talked
- 54:03Speaker 1: about a future together and I can see myself with
- 54:06Speaker 1: him forever. But there's a big part of my life
- 54:10Speaker 1: that I've been keeping from him. It's my ghetto family.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I grew up in the hood, and when I went
- 54:17Speaker 1: to college, I promised myself that I was going to
- 54:20Speaker 1: do better for myself and have a different kind of life.
- 54:24Speaker 1: All of my family still lives in the hood and
- 54:27Speaker 1: have no goals or plans to leave. My family prefers
- 54:31Speaker 1: to have our cookouts in the front yard. Junior and
- 54:34Speaker 1: all of our relatives just pull right up and park
- 54:37Speaker 1: on our grass. My dad fixes cars in our driveway
- 54:41Speaker 1: as a side hustle, and you can always hear the
- 54:44Speaker 1: loud music blasting from the car he's working on. My
- 54:47Speaker 1: dad is stuck in his Soul Brothers stage, so he's
- 54:50Speaker 1: always trying to be cool and it's embarrassing. My mom
- 54:54Speaker 1: loves to shop and trendy stories for teenagers, so she
- 54:58Speaker 1: always has on an outfit that is not suitable for
- 55:02Speaker 1: her body type or her age. I've spent my entire
- 55:06Speaker 1: adult life trying to overcome the way I was raised,
- 55:10Speaker 1: and I've asked my family to do better, but they
- 55:13Speaker 1: think I'm the one with the issues because I don't
- 55:16Speaker 1: fit in anymore. My boyfriend asked to go home with
- 55:19Speaker 1: me soon to meet my family, and I have run
- 55:22Speaker 1: out of excuses. I'm afraid he'll be scared away because
- 55:26Speaker 1: he does not want to marry into a family like mine.
- 55:29Speaker 1: On the other hand, I may need to give him
- 55:32Speaker 1: the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he can overlook them.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Should I warn him first? Do you think he'll run
- 55:39Speaker 1: once he sees them? I have tried to talk to
- 55:41Speaker 1: my family, but it's pointless. Help me, help, all right? Yeah?
- 55:47Speaker 1: If one thing you learn on this show, we tell
- 55:49Speaker 1: you all the time you cannot change other people. You
- 55:52Speaker 1: can only change yourself, and it looks like you're doing
- 55:55Speaker 1: that you're trying to change yourself, break out of you know,
- 55:59Speaker 1: your lifestyle, your hood, the ghetto, whatever you're you know,
- 56:03Speaker 1: trying to do, and you say, better yourself. So I
- 56:05Speaker 1: commend you for that, for trying to better yourself. I'm
- 56:08Speaker 1: proud of you, for all of your accomplishments. You're going
- 56:10Speaker 1: to grad school, you're in the medical field, and I'm
- 56:13Speaker 1: really happy that you found love, especially if you want
- 56:16Speaker 1: to spend the rest of your life with this person.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Now I have to tell you, you know, okay, so
- 56:21Speaker 1: what you came from the hood, you don't have to
- 56:23Speaker 1: stay in the hood. You don't have to be ghetto
- 56:25Speaker 1: all your life. If you know you don't have to
- 56:27Speaker 1: do that, you can. You can go out and make
- 56:30Speaker 1: a life for yourself and still love your family and
- 56:33Speaker 1: be a part of your family. Just embrace who you are,
- 56:36Speaker 1: all of who you are. Do not be ashamed of
- 56:38Speaker 1: who you are, where you came from. It's okay, And
- 56:42Speaker 1: it's okay to let your your boyfriend meet your family.
- 56:47Speaker 1: It's all right. He's not marrying your family, he's marrying you,
- 56:51Speaker 1: all right. And you guys have to have these kinds
- 56:53Speaker 1: of conversations. But yeah, you know this just because you
- 56:58Speaker 1: were raised this way or born this way, just because
- 57:00Speaker 1: your family is like that, you could be different. I
- 57:03Speaker 1: was different in my family. I mean, you know, we
- 57:05Speaker 1: were all the different ones, I'm sure in our family
- 57:08Speaker 1: for one reason or another. Just because you don't approve
- 57:11Speaker 1: of them, it's okay. It's okay. Let them be, Let
- 57:15Speaker 1: them be who they are, and you just be who
- 57:16Speaker 1: you are. Don't try to be anything you're not. Just
- 57:21Speaker 1: you know, it's okay to improve yourself and that's what
- 57:24Speaker 1: you're trying to do. So yeah, bring him over, let
- 57:26Speaker 1: him meet the family, and go from there. If he
- 57:29Speaker 1: really loves you, then it won't matter who your family is.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Like I said, he's not marrying them, He's marrying you, junior. No,
- 57:37Speaker 1: don't let him meet the family. I got fit experience
- 57:40Speaker 1: in this. No, you were gonna say, you have to.
- 57:42Speaker 1: You have to let him meet the family in a
- 57:44Speaker 1: confined space, like an event. They cannot be in a
- 57:48Speaker 1: natural habitat it. Don't scat his more. They got to
- 57:51Speaker 1: meet him at like a funeral or something. You don't
- 57:53Speaker 1: don't let them just be at the yard. If they
- 57:56Speaker 1: just in the yard doing them, it's gonna be very bad.

- 59:57Speaker 1: There's no way he can meet my fans coming up
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: right after this, little baby look and ask your grandmother.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: You're listening to show. All right, guys, let's recap today's
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: strawberry letter, and the subject is called There's no way
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: he can meet my family. Twenty seven year old young
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: lady called she's dating a twenty nine year old man.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: They're both upwardly mobile. They're in graduate school. He's planning
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: on starting a business. She's in the medical field. They
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: both have big dreams and aspirations. They like each other
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: a lot and want to have a future together. He
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: wants to meet her family. She's made every excuse possible
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to see that that doesn't happen, because she says her
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: family is ghetto. They still live in the hood. They
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: have no goals or plans to leave. Her family prefers
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: to have cookouts in the front yard. All the relatives
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: come up, park on the grass. Dad is stuck in
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: soul brother stage, always trying to be cool. It's embarrassing.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Mom wears teenage clothes. It's not age appropriate, she says.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: And she's afraid that if she introduces her um you know,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: significant other to her family, that he may run. But
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I think if he really loves her, even if he
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: meets the family, he'll stick around. Junior says, absolutely, warn him. Absolutely, Jay,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: what do you say? I say just like you were saying,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Sheldon Junior. This is a testimonial of your love. He
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: needs to meet these people, and then he needs to
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: meet him without you setting him up of what he's
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: going to see. That way he can ask questions as
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: to what he sees. Who value get that shock value?
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Like how come your auntie got a mustad? He has
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: to ask yeah question, He has to ask you how
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: come the back of the dog don't have no hell
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: on him? Why he? And then you have to explain
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: this part of your family. He has to asked you
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: how come y'all got to wash it and a dry
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: on the front? Point is that? How y'all got that?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: How come your aunt that ear range a size twenty
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: two on her ear and she got glitter on her lips?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Who is this woman sees? He needs? She needs to
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: explain all these surprised relatives. She needs to find out
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: why you have an uncle who's sits in the living
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: room in the hospital bed who just wakes up and
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: starts yelling out stuff. Right, he needs to answer all
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: these questions. She needs to ask him, how come y'all
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: got a TV? But there's no TV in there. Y'all
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: put a little flower arrangement on the inside of that.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I need to know, you gotta crazy. He needs to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: know how come y'all got a deep freezer in the
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: living room. I need to know why is it sitting
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: right there in the damn living room? And until she
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: shops this boy and tests her love, she will never, never,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: never knew if he loved. If he leaves, he ain't
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: in love. But if he stays there and you ask
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: all these questions, that's the one. That's it. That's all right,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: thank you, jay nephew, you're up. There's no way he
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: can meet my family. That is. I think you gotta
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: prepare this man before he meets the family. But you know,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I want you to do it in a timmy way.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: You're gonna have to act this thing out, Okay, So

- 1:09:46Speaker 1: and putting back, putting it back on the shelf. The
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: authorities have found this young lady in Lufkin, Texas. But
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: now there are copycats. Okay. Enforcement officials from all over
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: the country have warned the public not to lick ice
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: cream and put it back. One officials said it's illegal,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: it's a health risk to others. We will pursue anyone
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: we see doing this, you will be charged, officials said.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Health experts also warn consumers to be cautious because saliva
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: could contain germs and bacteria really okay, as rhinovirus, the flue,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: hepatitis B and C and bacteria, etc, etc. Etc. Come
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: on now. Since the incident, Bluebell said that they are
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: considering putting another protected seal around the containers they need to.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Also just a reminder that tampering with a consumer product
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: can be punished by prison terms of from two to
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: twenty years and up to ten thousand dollars in fines.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Hopefully that will stop it. Bluebell shoppers were having a
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: sale on ice cream that's already been lift but you
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: know that I don't want no pre But you know
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: there's going to be someone, some cheap person who wants
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: to save a book or two, a whole health down.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Oh sir, it's gonna be a store to say we
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: then't scraped off the top and we got it back
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: clean for you, so y'all can come on and get
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: this hand pre Trust me, you can't lick these prices, man,

- 1:11:47Speaker 1: we eat all we can and we sell the rest.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah they do. Yeah, and it's great ice cream.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: They actually said a guy to jail who actually purchased
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the ice cream, but then he decided to go with
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: lick it and get it on video and yeah, just
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: for the challenge. Yeah yeah, yeah, Now that's crazy her.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: We don't want to go to jail for licking ice cream.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: That's one thing you in man, Man, I'm you're licking. Okay,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: let me go down this list of what you can
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: catch again so people can just know. Okay, don't do that.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: The flu, heppatitis, B, and C, all kinds of bacteria.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Then you can get a prison term from two to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: twenty years and up to ten thousand dollars in fines. Okay,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: think about that before you go licking ice cream. Nobody
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: want to helpatitis vanella. Now, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: and vanilla is my favorite flavor, especially blue self homemade
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: vide chip. Yeah, but I think if you can make vanilla,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: you can make anything anything, anything of Rocky Road, that's
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: my favorite. They do need that protected seal, yeah, they do. Around.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: They started locking it up they start locking it up yet. Yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I heard that as somebody to go back and get
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the ice cream, right, yeah, security, are you serious? You
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: gotta ice cream? That's like the expensive wine. You know,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you gotta unlock it. Tie condoms, making sure id and

- 1:14:13Speaker 1: went to break, we were talking about this. Uh. I'm
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: calling it a scandal because it is a scandal as
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: far as I'm concerned. Uh, there's this viral video that's
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: trending where people are actually licking bluebell ice cream and
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: putting it back on the shelves. All right, this is dangerous,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: it's nasty. You can get all kinds of bacteria and
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: diseases hepatitis B and see the flu bacteria, and you
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: can get fined up to ten thousand dollars and sent
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: to jail, uh for from two to twenty years. So okay,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you know what, I think I got the solution. Yeah,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: because they're trying to copycat off the girl that did.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Here's what we should do. Okay, well we should have
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: ice cream police. I like it. And they have the supermark.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: They have no guns. And then but they got real
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: long thick belts and you just get your ass what
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: right there? By that start Soon we start looking at
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: ice cream, we're gonna whoop that ass right there and
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: see what happened. Yeah, that's all they have. Our belts
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: and megaphones, that's all they need. That I'm talking about summertime.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I'm serious about my ice cream. That is like my
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: favorite food, hands down. Every lick is ten licks on.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: That's lick lick. Put that on social media. Yeah all right. Uh,
