- 2:07Speaker 6: on dig me now. One and only Steve Harley got
- 2:10Speaker 6: a radio show today. It's real simple for everybody that's
- 2:16Speaker 6: trying to become successful on any level, in any arena,
- 2:22Speaker 6: any genre. I don't care what it is. If you're
- 2:25Speaker 6: trying to be successful, this message is for you. Let
- 2:29Speaker 6: me help you understand something real clear. You ain't gonna
- 2:32Speaker 6: make it the way you want to, and you're not
- 2:36Speaker 6: going to make it to the heights that's fully out
- 2:39Speaker 6: there and available for you without God. And I just
- 2:43Speaker 6: keep it real simple and clean for you today. You're
- 2:46Speaker 6: not going to make it the way you want to,
- 2:49Speaker 6: and you're not going to get to the heights that's
- 2:53Speaker 6: available to you without God. You have to get this
- 2:58Speaker 6: through your head. You can try it if you want
- 3:01Speaker 6: to because I did. I'm here to tell you I
- 3:03Speaker 6: am talking purely from experience. Here you can try it
- 3:08Speaker 6: without God, and you can see how far you can get.
- 3:12Speaker 6: Will you have some measures of success? Of course you will.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Will it feel like days like you might make it?
- 3:18Speaker 6: Of course you will. But let me ask you a question, though.
- 3:21Speaker 6: What you're gonna do about them days when you feel
- 3:23Speaker 6: like you ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do
- 3:25Speaker 6: about them days where it feel like there are no
- 3:27Speaker 6: answers to your questions.
- 3:29Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days?
- 3:30Speaker 6: What you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing
- 3:33Speaker 6: that you turn it against you. What you're gonna do
- 3:35Speaker 6: about them, days when you just don't see no way
- 3:38Speaker 6: through it? What you're gonna do about them days? I
- 3:40Speaker 6: got the sunshine? You know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends?
- 3:44Speaker 6: When it's sunny outside. You want some friends, hit the lotto,
- 3:47Speaker 6: You wanna get rid of them friends, go ask for
- 3:49Speaker 6: some help.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Man.
- 3:50Speaker 6: I'm talking about man. They scatter like roaches when lights
- 3:53Speaker 6: come on. I'm trying to tell you. So, now here
- 3:56Speaker 6: we go again, and you can do this without God now,
- 3:59Speaker 6: because I've done it, and you can have yourself some
- 4:01Speaker 6: measure success. Let me even hip you to a little
- 4:04Speaker 6: bit closer, though, Let me tell you why you are
- 4:07Speaker 6: doing it without God and having some measure of success.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Can I tell you why?
- 4:12Speaker 6: Because of God's grace and mercy to us, because of
- 4:15Speaker 6: his grace and mercy trying to keep us in spite
- 4:18Speaker 6: of ourself for the real mission that He really got
- 4:22Speaker 6: for us.
- 4:23Speaker 1: See that's the truth of the matter now now what
- 4:25Speaker 1: we're talking about, NASTI see.
- 4:27Speaker 6: So yeah, yeah, you can do it without God, and
- 4:28Speaker 6: you can have some measure of success without God. And yeah,
- 4:32Speaker 6: yeah you got your little degree and everything. Yeah you
- 4:34Speaker 6: completed the program God, all that, YadA, YadA YadA. But
- 4:38Speaker 6: don't you know something. It's because of God's grace and
- 4:41Speaker 6: mercy that he helps us anyway, well even when we
- 4:44Speaker 6: ain't asking for help, when he bails us out anyway,
- 4:47Speaker 6: when we ain't even ask him to be bailed out,
- 4:49Speaker 6: you know why, because He love us that much that
- 4:51Speaker 6: he would allow us to exist until we get our
- 4:54Speaker 6: mind together where he could take us away, really trying
- 4:57Speaker 6: to take us. Let's get this real straight. And today
- 5:01Speaker 6: you can do this without God if you want to.
- 5:04Speaker 6: But I'm telling you to get to where you really
- 5:07Speaker 6: want to be and to be all that God has
- 5:10Speaker 6: for you.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You got to have God. That is no ifs ads,
- 5:14Speaker 1: but about it. And let me tell you this here.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I don't really care what nobody then told you. Are
- 5:20Speaker 1: you listening to me?
- 5:22Speaker 6: I don't care what they say. Don't get this thing twisted.
- 5:26Speaker 6: They got these people out here talking about they illuminatis
- 5:29Speaker 6: and all. Listen, man, don't listen to me. Don't get
- 5:33Speaker 6: caught in this mess. Don't get caught in no foolishness.
- 5:36Speaker 6: You were created by God. God created you and your soul.
- 5:41Speaker 6: We were all created in His image, all of us.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Don't get to talking about you.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Finish. Cut a deal with the devil in all you
- 5:48Speaker 1: ain't cutting no deal with nobody.
- 5:50Speaker 9: Man.
- 5:50Speaker 1: The devil don't do deals. He one sided.
- 5:53Speaker 6: I'm taking you to hell. You going to hell, You're
- 5:56Speaker 6: burning here. That's his deal. I want your soul. I
- 5:59Speaker 6: want you to lose hope. I want you to take
- 6:02Speaker 6: your life. I want you to take some other people's lives.
- 6:04Speaker 6: I want you to feel hopeless. I want you to
- 6:07Speaker 6: realize that it ain't no God. That's his whole deal.
- 6:09Speaker 6: His whole deal is negative. Oh he can talk you
- 6:12Speaker 6: in the deal in drugs if you want to.
- 6:14Speaker 1: But let me tell you something about this.
- 6:15Speaker 6: I watch these shows all the time, drug inc And
- 6:18Speaker 6: all this here cocaine mafia. Everybody on now go to
- 6:23Speaker 6: jail and get killed. Our prisons is filled today with
- 6:26Speaker 6: our young boys because they thought they can outslick the system.
- 6:29Speaker 6: They thought they had away, they thought they sitting up
- 6:33Speaker 6: been here and they failed. For the old cliche, man,
- 6:35Speaker 6: I gotta do what I gotta do, I gotta get
- 6:37Speaker 6: this money. Well, the only reason you gotta do what
- 6:39Speaker 6: you gotta do is because, like I say all the time,
- 6:41Speaker 6: you didn't do what you were supposed to do. It
- 6:43Speaker 6: is but because of His grace and mercy that we exist,
- 6:47Speaker 6: and God is just taking care of you, looking out
- 6:49Speaker 6: for you. Got some angels and camped around you until
- 6:52Speaker 6: you get your mind right so he can get you
- 6:54Speaker 6: where you're going. But now I want you to understand something.
- 6:57Speaker 6: There's a cost and a consequence and a penalty for
- 7:00Speaker 6: everything we do. This outside the will of God. That's
- 7:03Speaker 6: for all of us. All of us have consequences, penalties
- 7:07Speaker 6: and everything that we got to deal with outside of
- 7:11Speaker 6: the will of God. Understand that clearly, don't get this
- 7:15Speaker 6: thing twisted sideways. You understand me.
- 7:18Speaker 3: You know.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I heard a young man tell me one day.
- 7:21Speaker 6: He said, Steve, you know, man, I just don't see
- 7:24Speaker 6: how God looking out for me, if he would allow
- 7:26Speaker 6: all these things to happen to me. I'm having such
- 7:28Speaker 6: a hard time in my life. I really don't see
- 7:31Speaker 6: how there's a god looking out for me. I lived
- 7:34Speaker 6: a young man. I said, the man, it's just something. Man,
- 7:36Speaker 6: you're still breathing. He said, yeah, I'm standing here talking
- 7:39Speaker 6: to you. I said, you're still free. He said what
- 7:42Speaker 6: you mean. I said, you ain't locked up, are you?
- 7:43Speaker 6: He said no, I'm standing here talking to you. I said,
- 7:45Speaker 6: where you get them clothes from?
- 7:47Speaker 1: I bought him?
- 7:48Speaker 6: I said, well, you bought them with what I bought
- 7:50Speaker 6: him with money? I said, where you get the money from,
- 7:51Speaker 6: Young Joe. So I got job, mister Huh, I got
- 7:54Speaker 6: a job. I said, well, well where you live though,
- 7:58Speaker 6: it's I got apartment. I said, where you get the
- 8:00Speaker 6: apartment from, mister Harvy, I'm working. I got an apartment.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I got a job.
- 8:04Speaker 6: I said, okay, okay, So now this this God ain't
- 8:08Speaker 6: looking out for you? Think finish finish telling me what
- 8:10Speaker 6: you're telling me. Well, see, man, I'm having it real
- 8:13Speaker 6: hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man, are you hungry?
- 8:17Speaker 6: Have you had lunch yet? He's yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 6: already had lunch yet. I said, oh, okay, okay, So
- 8:23Speaker 6: gone finish telling me about this how God ain't looking
- 8:25Speaker 6: out for you?
- 8:26Speaker 1: He said, oh.
- 8:27Speaker 6: And you know, man, every every time I try to
- 8:29Speaker 6: do something, it seemed like it go wrong for me.
- 8:32Speaker 6: I said, but letting loom in the man some man,
- 8:33Speaker 6: I said, every time it go wrong for you, I say,
- 8:36Speaker 6: somehow you survive it? He said, yeah, yeah, I survive
- 8:39Speaker 6: in some kind of way, but it's still be all
- 8:41Speaker 6: messed up on me. I said, but but you still
- 8:43Speaker 6: got through it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man,
- 8:45Speaker 6: gone finish telling me how God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:48Speaker 6: And he stopped. He said, hey, miss Harvey, He said,
- 8:50Speaker 6: how come every time I tell you something that's going wrong,
- 8:53Speaker 6: you keep telling me God looking out for me? I said,
- 8:55Speaker 6: because you're still here, man, I said. See, you don't understanding.
- 8:59Speaker 6: I said, you seen to think that you're supposed to
- 9:01Speaker 6: just you're supposed to skate through life that is all
- 9:04Speaker 6: supposed to go. How you want it any kind of way,
- 9:06Speaker 6: I said, Man, Thisesus the test to your faith, I said,
- 9:09Speaker 6: God looking out for you the whole time. I said,
- 9:10Speaker 6: every time you tell me something going wrong, you seem
- 9:14Speaker 6: to turn around and tell me how you survived. If
- 9:15Speaker 6: you keep telling me what ain't going right, But you
- 9:18Speaker 6: keep telling me all these things you have. I said, man,
- 9:20Speaker 6: so what you gotta do is you got to stop
- 9:22Speaker 6: looking at the what you ain't got column and start
- 9:25Speaker 6: focusing on what you do have column. But if you
- 9:27Speaker 6: ain't happy with nothing he'd have done for you, you
- 9:29Speaker 6: wanted to keep piling stuff on. I said, you fail
- 9:31Speaker 6: in the test, young man. The test is are you
- 9:34Speaker 6: grateful for where you are right now? So I could
- 9:37Speaker 6: give you more so we can move forward. He said, oh, man,
- 9:40Speaker 6: I never even looked at like that. I said, well,
- 9:42Speaker 6: why don't you take your blessed self on somewhere and
- 9:44Speaker 6: sit down? He said, I think I'm going over here
- 9:45Speaker 6: and let you finish talking. I said, thank you, son.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Sometimes you just got to look at what you do God, folks,
- 9:51Speaker 6: that's all it is. Okay, you can't make it with
- 9:53Speaker 6: our God, y'all you got me today? All right, Let's
- 9:55Speaker 6: be clear, let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 4: You're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Morning show.

- 10:05Speaker 6: another blessing, another gift. That's why they call it the present.
- 10:08Speaker 6: You can't beat it, man, only you know, really, I'm
- 10:14Speaker 6: at a loss for words. I just don't know how
- 10:16Speaker 6: to fix it every day, to fully explain what he does.
- 10:21Speaker 6: It's unexplainable. This is amazing, man, This is it's really
- 10:28Speaker 6: amazing the fact that he can he can make that
- 10:31Speaker 6: son come up every day. I mean, he don't miss,
- 10:36Speaker 6: he don't miss. Amazing man. Then everybody was going through
- 10:42Speaker 6: the eclipse yesterday. I didn't really understand that it was okay.
- 10:45Speaker 6: I hope you enjoyed your Eclipse day or whenever it
- 10:48Speaker 6: was the other day.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But you know, yeah, he ain't win't no biggie for me,
- 10:54Speaker 1: just really.
- 10:56Speaker 5: No.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I mean the son go down every day, you won't
- 11:01Speaker 1: be there for that. You know the fact that they
- 11:05Speaker 1: moved it up a little bit then really.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Anyway, Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Harvey, Martin Show, Shelley Strawberry,
- 11:12Speaker 6: Collin Frail Mississippi, Monica Junior and the Legend that is
- 11:15Speaker 6: Nephew Tommy Junr.
- 11:16Speaker 1: What's on your mind today? You know, uncle?
- 11:18Speaker 10: Uh you know, we're getting ready for the summer, trying
- 11:21Speaker 10: to plan vacations up.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 11:24Speaker 10: My wife saw a picture of you and your family
- 11:26Speaker 10: on on the boat.
- 11:27Speaker 1: How much? How much that boat be that you be on? Uh?
- 11:31Speaker 6: Oh man, you know, man like you know Saint Patty's Day. Man,
- 11:35Speaker 6: it comes like usually during March.
- 11:37Speaker 1: And that's why I tried seventeenth.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, March seventeen, somewhere around Saint Patty's Day
- 11:42Speaker 6: something like that.
- 11:43Speaker 10: You start planning for that, for that trip, you start
- 11:46Speaker 10: planning for.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Your No, I'm just saying that's where the Saint Patty's
- 11:48Speaker 6: Day is. Okay, what that guy with the boat?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah? How much is the boat? Though? The boat? She
- 11:54Speaker 1: won't go on the boat. She won't say. I want
- 11:56Speaker 1: to do with the harvest?
- 11:58Speaker 3: Do you know?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Mm hm that turkey prices was up last year holiday? Yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: they were, they were so yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 10: Okay, So looking at me, uncle, knowing my situation, like,
- 12:15Speaker 10: because you know, I don't have no problem telling you.
- 12:17Speaker 10: I mean, you know me, I just asked him what
- 12:19Speaker 10: the boat is like for like, let's say like a
- 12:23Speaker 10: like a week. Let's say a week on the boat.
- 12:25Speaker 1: On that boat, Well, let me ask you a question, man,
- 12:29Speaker 1: how much? How much is penicillin?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Now?
- 12:35Speaker 10: I don't need no penicillin, but I just got a Yeah,
- 12:39Speaker 10: I thought I just I'm checking my body.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Now call the T do I need to do? I
- 12:43Speaker 1: need to check if I got an infection?
- 12:44Speaker 4: What what you wanted to be asking that question?
- 12:47Speaker 1: Is what you asking me?
- 12:48Speaker 2: Is what he's saying.
- 12:49Speaker 10: Yes, that's why he's just throwing out random I thought
- 12:53Speaker 10: he just didn't. Okay, So so let's say we just
- 12:57Speaker 10: want to do a week on boat like you like
- 12:59Speaker 10: the boat line lying on the seas, Like that boat
- 13:02Speaker 10: right there?
- 13:02Speaker 3: What is that?
- 13:03Speaker 1: A week with that? It's the old boat we used
- 13:05Speaker 1: to take. It's called Sea Lion, Sea Lion, same thing,
- 13:09Speaker 1: same thing, lying on the sea. I probably need to
- 13:11Speaker 1: be on it. But if I don't even know the name,
- 13:12Speaker 1: but I probably need to be on it.
- 13:14Speaker 6: High you know, Junior, this whole conversation what I'm trying
- 13:16Speaker 6: to avoid is well, the first boat I took, yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 6: was the one you probably want to look at.
- 13:25Speaker 10: Okay, Okay, I'll look at that, but I'll tell you
- 13:28Speaker 10: right now where you talking, I'll probably.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Need catch a ferry and put on that.
- 13:32Speaker 10: Probably, I probably don't just catch a faery egg exactly.
- 13:36Speaker 7: Coming up at thirty two minutes, half fifty hour, we
- 13:38Speaker 7: will hear from the nephews. He runs that prank back
- 13:41Speaker 7: right after this. You're listening hard Morning show. It is
- 13:47Speaker 7: time now to run that prank back with the nephew.
- 13:49Speaker 11: What you got for us, nep Just for them big
- 13:52Speaker 11: kids that's on the school bus. Shirty this put them
- 13:54Speaker 11: big babies. It's right here. Yeah, we gotta get that
- 13:58Speaker 11: weight now, get out of here.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:00Speaker 11: I am mister Ernest, the bus driver, and I refuse
- 14:03Speaker 11: to continue with it. We got to get this weight down. Okay,
- 14:06Speaker 11: we're gonna weigh your baby before your baby can get
- 14:09Speaker 11: on the bus. If your baby over wait, your baby
- 14:11Speaker 11: got to walk.
- 14:12Speaker 1: The baby's on. Listen.
- 14:14Speaker 11: If we have more bus drivers like this, we'll save
- 14:16Speaker 11: a lot more buses. Say these axles, all that stuff, that's.
- 14:19Speaker 1: A lot going on. I say, you axle, but you
- 14:22Speaker 1: ain't seen these baby waits. What it's right here.
- 14:26Speaker 11: It's called this right here is called baby wait, baby wait,
- 14:31Speaker 11: let's go get dogs.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach train to please. Yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 3: this is Trina Trina, my name is Ernest, Ernest Murphy
- 14:41Speaker 3: down here at the bus born with the from the
- 14:42Speaker 3: school district. Your son is different, am I right?
- 14:48Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 14:48Speaker 3: Okay, No, he's in the fifth grade. I think yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 3: everything is fine. I think he's on he rides bus
- 14:57Speaker 3: ninety plus ninety three. Does he ride plus ninety three?
- 15:00Speaker 3: You can mean yeah?
- 15:01Speaker 9: Um, yeah, yeah he does.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Okay. So now the school board has implemented a new
- 15:08Speaker 3: rule and we're having to call a lot of parents
- 15:13Speaker 3: and let him know about the new rule for us
- 15:15Speaker 3: as far as the buses are concerned. Now, from my understanding,
- 15:20Speaker 3: each child that gets on the bus has to weigh
- 15:23Speaker 3: less than one hundred and twenty five parents. That's what
- 15:27Speaker 3: the new rule that is implemented by board. What did you.
- 15:30Speaker 9: Say that again?
- 15:35Speaker 3: Each each child that gets on the bus has to
- 15:38Speaker 3: weigh less than one hundred and twenty five parents.
- 15:42Speaker 5: I don't understand.
- 15:43Speaker 8: I don't understand.
- 15:46Speaker 9: So's okay, So what does that mean?
- 15:49Speaker 3: So starting on Monday, Starting on Monday, what they're gonna
- 15:52Speaker 3: do is they're gonna the bus driver will have a
- 15:55Speaker 3: scale and he will wait the kids so they get
- 15:58Speaker 3: on the bus. I understand. Man in the doctor like
- 16:02Speaker 3: I say, I'm calling. I'm calling every patent that they.
- 16:06Speaker 12: Said, you're gonna you're gonna weigh my child before he
- 16:09Speaker 12: gets on the bus.
- 16:10Speaker 3: That's that's what the new rulee, that's what the new
- 16:12Speaker 3: rule is. If he's over one twenty five, then he
- 16:15Speaker 3: he'll either have to wait, so you'll have to take
- 16:17Speaker 3: him to.
- 16:17Speaker 4: School, which I have a job.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Okay, I have a job.
- 16:22Speaker 12: I thought going to take my kid in school, but
- 16:23Speaker 12: doesn't I don't. That's what the bus is flor that's
- 16:26Speaker 12: what my tax dollars takes. Right reasoning the rationale behind.
- 16:32Speaker 3: This, Okay, let me tell you what's going on. From
- 16:34Speaker 3: what they're saying, the weight of these children is wearing
- 16:39Speaker 3: down these transmissions on this bus. On these buses transmission
- 16:43Speaker 3: the transmission that cannot take all of that. So they
- 16:47Speaker 3: are limiting the weight of each child. So now how
- 16:50Speaker 3: much does this discrimination?
- 16:53Speaker 12: I think that's discrimination.
- 16:55Speaker 3: But over is he over one hundred and twenty five pounds?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Okay he is? Okay, then you're gonna you're probably gonna
- 17:05Speaker 3: have to take your son to school or he gonna
- 17:08Speaker 3: have to walk. He probably need to walk to school
- 17:10Speaker 3: if he already a hunting twenty five pounds.
- 17:16Speaker 12: What the accident are you talking about?
- 17:20Speaker 3: All I'm saying. All I'm saying is if your son
- 17:25Speaker 3: is overweight one hundred and twenty five, you know, maybe
- 17:28Speaker 3: the exercise is doing good. When like I said that,
- 17:31Speaker 3: the school's gonna allow him on the bus.
- 17:35Speaker 9: Sure, I will accept this.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Who do I need to call?
- 17:39Speaker 9: Is there a manager?
- 17:40Speaker 12: Is there a city council member? I mean, this is
- 17:42Speaker 12: seriously the lost up discriminatory practice I've ever heard of.
- 17:47Speaker 5: It doesn't even make sense. You're talking about child.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I understand, but we're talking about a child. They're way
- 17:53Speaker 3: more than a grown person, your son.
- 17:55Speaker 12: I need to get what is your name, sir?
- 17:57Speaker 5: Tell me your name again?
- 17:59Speaker 3: My name Earnest. I'm down here at the bus ball.
- 18:02Speaker 12: I would like to speak with a supervisor. Like now,
- 18:07Speaker 12: you do not get to speak to much about my
- 18:09Speaker 12: child that way. You can speak to any kid that way.
- 18:11Speaker 12: You should not be working at a school if that
- 18:14Speaker 12: is your attitude.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I no, I don't work at the school. I work
- 18:17Speaker 3: at the bus ball. I'm down here at the bus
- 18:19Speaker 3: ball and they gave me your at tender day, right,
- 18:22Speaker 3: because you're saying he's over behind in twenty five times.
- 18:24Speaker 12: I am an absolute shocked.
- 18:27Speaker 3: This is so okay. So do you have a fan child?
- 18:33Speaker 3: I mean, do you have scuba? I'm sorry, do you
- 18:35Speaker 3: have a big child? Listen?
- 18:37Speaker 12: What my child looks like, how much he weighs is
- 18:40Speaker 12: none of your business.
- 18:42Speaker 3: I'm gonna call the school.
- 18:43Speaker 12: They can do working with your company. If this is
- 18:46Speaker 12: the way that you treat people and you talk about
- 18:49Speaker 12: children this way, it doesn't.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Matter with you.
- 18:53Speaker 3: I guess what they're doing is this is the way
- 18:55Speaker 3: of them approaching obesity, you know, right? Yeah? Want to
- 19:00Speaker 3: school whoever? Whoever over one hundred and twenty five, elen
- 19:03Speaker 3: a walk, they might walk it all your son listen, listen.
- 19:06Speaker 12: That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
- 19:10Speaker 9: Okay, I have to work.
- 19:12Speaker 12: My son is getting on that bus and I'm going
- 19:15Speaker 12: to call the school board and should not be working
- 19:16Speaker 12: with you your mother bus company. I don't know what
- 19:19Speaker 12: I'm calling the city.
- 19:20Speaker 9: I will call.
- 19:21Speaker 12: Remember the need to call that. You need to give
- 19:23Speaker 12: me a supervisor's name right now, right now?
- 19:27Speaker 3: Do you like you need to start cooking different folks,
- 19:29Speaker 3: So Devin, don't have you know, maybe maybe it's starts
- 19:33Speaker 3: at home and what you're feeding them.
- 19:36Speaker 12: To everybody know. I am calling the supervisor. I'm calling
- 19:40Speaker 12: the city, I'm calling the school. I'm going to get
- 19:43Speaker 12: so fired, like I can't even believe that you're allowed
- 19:46Speaker 12: to make this call like our other parents.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Okay with this, I'm calling. Well, you're on your way
- 19:54Speaker 3: to work in the morning, trainer. Do you listen to
- 19:57Speaker 3: the Steve Harvey Morning Show? Oh my god, yes I do,
- 20:04Speaker 3: Nephew Telly from the Steve Morning Old baby, Yes, yes,
- 20:09Speaker 3: your cousin Vicky got me to prank pol call you baby.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm gonna yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 9: I mean, I was like, oh my god, I love Harvey.
- 20:22Speaker 9: I love you.
- 20:23Speaker 3: I was about God, you gotta tell me this, baby
- 20:28Speaker 3: tream it. What is the baddest and I mean the
- 20:31Speaker 3: baddest radio show in the lane? See Harvey, Let's get
- 20:38Speaker 3: it down.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Let's get it down. I'll be back in an hour.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Just as ignorant, just as stupid we are.
- 20:44Speaker 7: That that goes without saying. You're like stating the obvious,
- 20:48Speaker 7: preaching to the choir.
- 20:49Speaker 3: You know.
- 20:52Speaker 4: You know that right? Well, coming up next, it is
- 20:56Speaker 4: asked the clo.
- 20:58Speaker 2: You're listening Steve hard Morning Show.
- 21:01Speaker 7: Coming up at the top of the hour, the Democratic
- 21:03Speaker 7: National Committee chair will be our special guest and we
- 21:07Speaker 7: will discuss this year's presidential election and why it is.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Crucial, crucial for us to vote.
- 21:14Speaker 7: That's all coming up, and right now it is time
- 21:16Speaker 7: to ask the CLO our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 21:21Speaker 4: This one's from Calvin and Brickle.
- 21:24Speaker 7: Calvin says, my wife and I are buying our first
- 21:27Speaker 7: home and I'd like to live in the suburbs, but
- 21:29Speaker 7: she wants to live in the city. I hate it
- 21:33Speaker 7: when she goes to the club with her girlfriend, so
- 21:35Speaker 7: I want to buy a home way out so she.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Can't be in the streets. Am I too controlling?
- 21:42Speaker 6: Well, you're going to be living in the city. I
- 21:45Speaker 6: could tell you that, so you can you move after
- 21:48Speaker 6: end of suburbs?
- 21:48Speaker 1: We want to do. Why is your wife still living.
- 21:57Speaker 3: For me?
- 22:00Speaker 6: Am I being controlling? It ain't that you being controller.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Is the fact that she ain't gonna be controlled. That's
- 22:06Speaker 6: what the issue is going. So I don't want to
- 22:08Speaker 6: get in your beer since and nothing like that. But
- 22:12Speaker 6: your concern ain't Are you being too controlling? That ain't
- 22:15Speaker 6: your concern? She not having it?
- 22:19Speaker 4: She in the street, moves to the superb. She's gonna
- 22:23Speaker 4: dry to the city.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Yeah, she just want me going longer, that's all.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Moving moving on to Lorrain and Camden. Lorraine says, my
- 22:35Speaker 7: husband loves to play cards. His female friend from childhood
- 22:38Speaker 7: was his partner for years before we started dating. Well,
- 22:42Speaker 7: Friday night he asked me if I minded if she.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Was his partner for the night. And I'm still hurt,
- 22:47Speaker 4: he said, I'm being a baby, am I really?
- 22:51Speaker 8: Oh?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 22:53Speaker 6: But oh see, dog, you stupid to the man, stupid
- 23:01Speaker 6: you're taking your wife to the card party obviously, and
- 23:05Speaker 6: then asked your wife, could she be my partner for
- 23:08Speaker 6: the night?
- 23:11Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Well, it's not his at they
- 23:13Speaker 1: supposed to be childhood friends.
- 23:16Speaker 6: But yeah, you hurt. But see, let's also look at
- 23:19Speaker 6: the fact though you can't play cards and this is
- 23:23Speaker 6: this is it we need three times last year and
- 23:30Speaker 6: you missed. You missed twelve books. Was sitting up in here, man,
- 23:36Speaker 6: just watching. I'm watching you girl. Have it you Okay?
- 23:43Speaker 6: You played the Ace of Diamond, you won the book.
- 23:47Speaker 6: Then you came back and you played the tenor diamond.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Okay. Your reasoning was you had the queen. Uh yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 1: somebody else had the I got the tea.
- 24:03Speaker 3: What are we doing?
- 24:06Speaker 1: I was trying to draw it out out what you're
- 24:11Speaker 1: talking about? Ye see.
- 24:13Speaker 6: So that's why he really wanted to play with her,
- 24:18Speaker 6: because you don't play cards. They're good and he loved
- 24:20Speaker 6: to play cards, and he grew up playing cards.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You did.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Cards ain't your thing? Now, you could just let him
- 24:26Speaker 6: have his partners sit over there and sit next to
- 24:29Speaker 6: him and pull for him. You could look in his hand,
- 24:31Speaker 6: point at the wrong card, you know, and all this
- 24:33Speaker 6: here he trying to win that thing.
- 24:36Speaker 1: She could keep scoring.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but this is serious.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's.
- 24:43Speaker 4: All right right, and Campden, get your game up.
- 24:48Speaker 7: Moving on to Pooh in Montgomery, who says, I went
- 24:52Speaker 7: to see nephew Tommy show last week, and I left
- 24:54Speaker 7: my husband at home because he's a hater. I made
- 24:58Speaker 7: a little joke by saying that you, Tommy or Junior
- 25:01Speaker 7: could be my hall past.
- 25:04Speaker 4: He is hot with me. Why can't he see that.
- 25:07Speaker 2: It was only a joke.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I clearly see that it was a joke.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Your Junior could be my hall pack.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Actually floored?
- 25:20Speaker 4: What's wrong?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Or they don't stay sexy? They don't what boy quick playing?
- 25:28Speaker 1: It was a joke, Like I'll clearly joke.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Why can't her husband seeing Steve that it.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Was a joke. Well see, I think, well here I go,
- 25:40Speaker 1: come on. What I think the reason her husband don't
- 25:44Speaker 1: see it as a joke? Cousin stay all the same night.
- 26:01Speaker 4: That's what you got out of that.
- 26:03Speaker 1: That's what I think is So he feels threatened.
- 26:10Speaker 4: But she threw you in there though you Yeah.
- 26:17Speaker 1: She did.
- 26:18Speaker 7: She went to see Tommy, I know, but she says
- 26:21Speaker 7: she made a little joke that by saying that you,
- 26:25Speaker 7: Tommy or Junior could be a hall.
- 26:27Speaker 10: Pat sing when she said hall fast, I was going
- 26:32Speaker 10: to the bathroom.
- 26:34Speaker 3: That what that mean?
- 26:37Speaker 1: Oh wow, he'd be a hall I'm going. Isn't that
- 26:41Speaker 1: what that means?
- 26:42Speaker 9: I got it now?
- 26:44Speaker 4: All right, Steve, So you don't understand, you don't see
- 26:48Speaker 4: you don't you see it now? How you were in that?
- 26:50Speaker 2: You see it now?
- 26:52Speaker 1: I mean you know you can't tell your man there's
- 26:55Speaker 1: three people you you could pay as a joke.
- 27:01Speaker 4: No, not even as a joke.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Co home from show.
- 27:07Speaker 6: Let's reverse, okay, Tosh, come in the house to go, baby,
- 27:13Speaker 6: I went out.
- 27:13Speaker 1: That was crazy.
- 27:14Speaker 6: I would see y'all live Broadcare. You know my hall
- 27:18Speaker 6: past could be that little girl.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Do y'all social media, Shirley or Mark?
- 27:27Speaker 4: I watched him out.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Right across his list. Ah you moving on?
- 27:43Speaker 8: Moving on?
- 27:45Speaker 6: Uh?
- 27:45Speaker 7: This is from Alison last one Steve and Dan Berry.
- 27:49Speaker 7: Allison says, I have a male roommate and sometimes we
- 27:51Speaker 7: sleep in the same bed, but we've never touched each other.
- 27:56Speaker 7: He's my best friend and that is it. He asked
- 28:00Speaker 7: if his girlfriend can move in, but she doesn't like me.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Should I try to welcome her or move out?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah? You're gonna have to move out. Let me explain
- 28:08Speaker 1: something to you. Watch y'all in the bed to sleep?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Did you saw my roommates is more than one room sleeping?
- 28:18Speaker 1: You ain't got a room and you ain't got a bed.
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now. It's owns man. I'm telling
- 28:25Speaker 1: you right now.
- 28:26Speaker 4: He has a girlfriend though, that's why he wants her.
- 28:28Speaker 1: To move I ain't got nothing to do with else.
- 28:31Speaker 4: He has a girlfriend, then he wants to move in.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Do she know he's sleeping in that bed sometime?
- 28:37Speaker 4: Well, that's not in here.
- 28:42Speaker 7: They're just why you don't like you got a feeling
- 28:45Speaker 7: about something anyway, And he and his roommate are just
- 28:50Speaker 7: best friends.
- 28:51Speaker 4: That's all.
- 28:53Speaker 1: That's a lie. That's a lie. Why do you go
- 28:58Speaker 1: in there and get into bed with him?
- 29:00Speaker 9: So?
- 29:00Speaker 6: Why does he come in.
- 29:00Speaker 1: There and get into bed with you? Okay, all right,
- 29:08Speaker 1: feel me see what happened.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Coming up at the top of the hour, we have
- 29:14Speaker 4: a special guest.
- 29:15Speaker 7: As we switch gears here, d NC chair Jamie Harrison
- 29:18Speaker 7: will be on to discuss this year's presidential election.
- 29:21Speaker 4: You don't want to miss it.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 29:24Speaker 2: You're listening Morning show.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Hey, we got a special guest this morning.
- 29:30Speaker 6: He is the chair of the Democratic National Committee and
- 29:34Speaker 6: he's joining us again as promise.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Uh.
- 29:37Speaker 6: He's got valuable, invaluable information to share on what's at
- 29:41Speaker 6: stake for black voters in this year's presidential election. He's
- 29:45Speaker 6: going to share a few facts on how the Biden
- 29:47Speaker 6: administration continues to deliver for black voters.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Now listen, y'all.
- 29:51Speaker 6: The reason I'm having this man on is because he
- 29:55Speaker 6: made some points last time that was so valuable, and
- 29:58Speaker 6: I think we're missing the point here because I'm hearing
- 30:01Speaker 6: too much counter information that's not true. And I think
- 30:05Speaker 6: this man did about it good a job as I've
- 30:08Speaker 6: heard of anybody explaining the Biden administration's position.
- 30:12Speaker 1: So please welcome back to the show. Mister Jamie Harrison.
- 30:16Speaker 10: Good morning, say hello, everybody, good, good, good.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Listen man, let's get to it.
- 30:24Speaker 6: You know, I think me personally, after talking to you
- 30:27Speaker 6: and then researching myself, I found that the Biden administration
- 30:31Speaker 6: has continually delivered for black voter voters. And I wanted
- 30:36Speaker 6: to have you back on so we could talk about
- 30:38Speaker 6: just a few of President Biden's accomplishments thus far.
- 30:41Speaker 9: But well, see just yesterday, I don't know if you're
- 30:45Speaker 9: listeners tune in to the president, but he talked a
- 30:48Speaker 9: little more about student loan forgiveness. And I just want
- 30:50Speaker 9: to back up and you know, go to that wading
- 30:53Speaker 9: back machine. You remember when he first became president, you
- 30:56Speaker 9: said that he wanted to do four hundred billion dollars
- 30:59Speaker 9: of student over leaf. The Republicans didn't want that. They
- 31:02Speaker 9: sued him, took them all the way to the Supreme Court.
- 31:04Speaker 9: Ance Thomas and his right wing buddies in the court
- 31:07Speaker 9: said that the president didn't have the authority to do it,
- 31:10Speaker 9: and Joe Biden pulled the usher and he said watch this,
- 31:13Speaker 9: And so he has been rolling he's been rolling out proposals.
- 31:18Speaker 9: So up until yesterday he had forgiven one hundred and
- 31:22Speaker 9: forty billion dollars for four four million Americans. Yesterday he
- 31:27Speaker 9: rolled out a big proposal. And I believe that particularly
- 31:30Speaker 9: two parts of this proposal are going to have a
- 31:33Speaker 9: disproportionate impact on Black folks, but particularly your leaders. The
- 31:37Speaker 9: first part of us and if this proposal happen, thirty
- 31:41Speaker 9: million people will.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Get some form of student loan debt relief.
- 31:45Speaker 9: The two parts that I really want to highlight. First,
- 31:50Speaker 9: borrows who have seen their debt grow due to unpaid hinters.
- 31:54Speaker 9: How many of us know folks who've been paying their
- 31:56Speaker 9: student loans for paying the principles, but that interest kept
- 31:59Speaker 9: up crewing and crewing, and now they have more debt
- 32:03Speaker 9: than they had when that they actually borrowed. Because the
- 32:06Speaker 9: entrance is a cruise. Over time, those folks are going
- 32:09Speaker 9: to see their debt wipeout. Twenty five million people eligible
- 32:13Speaker 9: under that category, and that particularly is relevant to black
- 32:17Speaker 9: voters because I know so many, so many friends and
- 32:20Speaker 9: the cousins who follow in that category. And then there's
- 32:23Speaker 9: a second category, borrows who've been repaying their undergraduate loans
- 32:28Speaker 9: for twenty years or more. There's some of a diligent
- 32:32Speaker 9: playing the student loans, but they still got them payment.
- 32:34Speaker 9: And it's been twenty years since they graduated or stopped school,
- 32:38Speaker 9: but they're still paying. Those folks will.
- 32:41Speaker 3: See their student loans waves.
- 32:44Speaker 9: As the President said, this is a BFP. This is
- 32:47Speaker 9: a big deal for a lot of people, and they're
- 32:49Speaker 9: gonna put money back in their pocket.
- 32:51Speaker 5: And this is a contrast.
- 32:53Speaker 9: Donald Trump didn't want to give you that type of
- 32:55Speaker 9: student loan relief. What he's talking about. His tax cuts
- 32:57Speaker 9: were billionaires, all the people who were at We're along
- 33:00Speaker 9: with him last weekend, but nothing for you, working people
- 33:04Speaker 9: in this country. And that is the stark difference between
- 33:07Speaker 9: Joe Biden every day thinking about working people in this country,
- 33:11Speaker 9: particularly black folks, and Donald Trump, who don't care anything
- 33:15Speaker 9: about any of us.
- 33:16Speaker 6: Well, you know what, man, I've been telling people on
- 33:19Speaker 6: this radio show, because I play golf with these people,
- 33:23Speaker 6: I'm in business with these people. I get to sit
- 33:25Speaker 6: in the rooms with wealthy people. They do not care
- 33:29Speaker 6: about you, and Donald Trump don't give a damn about you.
- 33:33Speaker 6: Donald Trump has never been regular. He's never had a
- 33:36Speaker 6: regular day in his life. He has had a privileged
- 33:40Speaker 6: life privileged people can't even imagine what it is to
- 33:45Speaker 6: want to make rent this month, to have to make
- 33:47Speaker 6: a decision between paying a bill and buying some extra
- 33:51Speaker 6: stuff for the kids or groceries. When you're privileged, you
- 33:55Speaker 6: don't even know what that is. So he can't relate.
- 33:58Speaker 6: So when bills come to him and things come to him,
- 34:01Speaker 6: and he's going to react the way he knows how.
- 34:04Speaker 6: His whole objective is to fix it for the rich,
- 34:07Speaker 6: because his claim is the rich provide jobs.
- 34:12Speaker 1: That's a true statement.
- 34:14Speaker 6: But if the person that goes to Walmart can no
- 34:18Speaker 6: longer afford to go to Walmart, what do you think
- 34:21Speaker 6: happens to this system?
- 34:24Speaker 9: It all falls apart. It all falls apart. And that's
- 34:27Speaker 9: why Joe Biden keeps saying, you got to build this
- 34:29Speaker 9: economy from the middle out and the bottom up, not
- 34:32Speaker 9: from the top down. You've got to get middle class
- 34:35Speaker 9: people and working people so they have money in their pockets.
- 34:38Speaker 9: Because they have money in their projects, They're gonna spend
- 34:40Speaker 9: that money and you continue to see growth in the
- 34:43Speaker 9: economy because of it. If you just give it all
- 34:47Speaker 9: to the top, you know, people just hold him money
- 34:49Speaker 9: after the while they ain't gonna spend it, and if
- 34:51Speaker 9: the working people can't spend, then this economy falls apart.
- 34:57Speaker 9: And that's what the President knows Joe Biden to understand,
- 35:00Speaker 9: and that's why he is trying to make sure that
- 35:02Speaker 9: working people had more money in their pockets, from houses,
- 35:06Speaker 9: the healthcare, the student loans, making sure that we provide
- 35:09Speaker 9: relief so that they can spend more and do more
- 35:11Speaker 9: for their kids and their family.
- 35:15Speaker 6: Yes, I say, hey, man, listen, I want you to
- 35:17Speaker 6: stay right here because when we come back, I want
- 35:21Speaker 6: to talk about this issue right here. I want to
- 35:23Speaker 6: focus on a woman's right to choose because you know
- 35:27Speaker 6: Donald Trump, I've been watching this guy. He's been claiming
- 35:31Speaker 6: he's going to make a statement about abortion, about a
- 35:35Speaker 6: women's rights, He's gonna make a statement real soon.
- 35:39Speaker 1: And then I watched and his statement came out and
- 35:42Speaker 1: all he did.
- 35:43Speaker 6: All he did was say, it's a state's choice. It
- 35:46Speaker 6: should be long to the state. Because he knows what
- 35:50Speaker 6: he's done with these three Supreme Court justice appointments, how
- 35:55Speaker 6: it's affected the Row versus Wade, and and the Republicans
- 35:59Speaker 6: know that this is a touchy subject for them, So
- 36:01Speaker 6: we're gonna get into it. When we come back, We're
- 36:03Speaker 6: gonna focus on a woman's right to choose. When we
- 36:06Speaker 6: come back, we'll be right back with more right after this.
- 36:10Speaker 2: You're listening, Morning Show.
- 36:14Speaker 1: We're back, everybody.
- 36:15Speaker 6: Our special guest is the chair of the Democratic National Committee,
- 36:18Speaker 6: mister Jamie Harrison, whom I've invited back on the show
- 36:21Speaker 6: because he has done has good a job of I've
- 36:24Speaker 6: seen of anybody explaining the Biden administration advantage for all
- 36:28Speaker 6: of us voters of color, and now I want to
- 36:30Speaker 6: talk to about this. Let's focus on a woman's right
- 36:33Speaker 6: to choose. That's a great place to start. How can
- 36:36Speaker 6: our listeners be more understanding of this issue when it
- 36:40Speaker 6: comes to the difference between Biden and Trump.
- 36:42Speaker 9: Well, culture understand that the law the land was the
- 36:47Speaker 9: road decision for fifteen years in this country, women had
- 36:51Speaker 9: complete autonomy and control over their bodies, the freedom to
- 36:55Speaker 9: do in terms of the ad body. Donald Trump appointed
- 36:59Speaker 9: three of the most right wing zealous on the Supreme Court,
- 37:03Speaker 9: and many of them, you all remember in the testimony
- 37:05Speaker 9: said when asked about role, they said, you know, it
- 37:09Speaker 9: is dark decisives, which means that it is already stettled law.
- 37:13Speaker 9: We won't touch it. It is the law of land.
- 37:15Speaker 9: And by then they went through the Supreme Court. They
- 37:19Speaker 9: lied in those hears and went to the Supreme Court
- 37:23Speaker 9: and they overturned rope. For the first time in my lifetime,
- 37:27Speaker 9: we have left freedoms in this country than we had
- 37:31Speaker 9: and that is because these right wing zealous appointed by
- 37:34Speaker 9: Donald Trump, who he claimed and he's launing the fact
- 37:39Speaker 9: that it was his justices that overturned roles, ripping women
- 37:44Speaker 9: freedom away from them. So we got to understand that.
- 37:48Speaker 9: And now what we are seeing in these individual states.
- 37:51Speaker 3: We just saw in Florida that is.
- 37:53Speaker 9: A sixth week band. Most women won't even know that
- 37:56Speaker 9: they're pregnant yet that there's a sixth week ban. In
- 38:01Speaker 9: terms of abortion, we're seeing some of the most draconian things.
- 38:04Speaker 9: We just saw this video and textas where people are
- 38:07Speaker 9: basically saying if a woman com miss gets an abortion,
- 38:10Speaker 9: then she should be tried for murder and the doctor
- 38:13Speaker 9: should as well. So, folks, I want you to understand
- 38:16Speaker 9: what the Pandora bock that Donald Trump has opened up
- 38:20Speaker 9: and what this means for women in this country, and
- 38:24Speaker 9: understand that it's a flippery slow when you take away
- 38:26Speaker 9: somebody's freedom it is very easy to then go look
- 38:29Speaker 9: at other freedoms that they have and take that away
- 38:32Speaker 9: as well. And so we got to do everything that
- 38:35Speaker 9: we can to make sure that we reinstate role as
- 38:37Speaker 9: the law of the land. And that's what Joe Biden
- 38:40Speaker 9: and Kamala Harris are committed to doing. Don't let Trump.
- 38:44Speaker 9: He's gonna say all kinds of things because he just
- 38:46Speaker 9: wants to get back in the White House, and he'll
- 38:48Speaker 9: he'll he'll try to say, well, I don't believe in
- 38:51Speaker 9: a national abortion man. Donald Trump has flip flock on
- 38:55Speaker 9: the issue abortions. There are more flip flocks of Donald
- 38:58Speaker 9: Trump has flip flocked you in Myrtle Beach doing the song.
- 39:01Speaker 3: This man is on all sides of this issue.
- 39:04Speaker 9: But we got to make sure that we understand they're
- 39:08Speaker 9: in the situation because of Donald Talk. So don't think
- 39:11Speaker 9: he's gonna.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Make it better.
- 39:12Speaker 9: He's only gonna make it worse. And we got to
- 39:15Speaker 9: stand up and protect women's right to control their own body.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 39:19Speaker 9: Should you should not have Donald Talk or Lindsey Graham
- 39:22Speaker 9: or anybody in the medical room with you to make
- 39:25Speaker 9: a decision about how you control your own body.
- 39:28Speaker 6: Yes, sir, I think that's that puts it on the head.
- 39:31Speaker 6: Jamie Man, thank you so much. Brother, Get out to vote.
- 39:35Speaker 6: Let's make a difference. We'll be right back with more
- 39:37Speaker 6: to Steve Harv Morning Show right after this.
- 39:39Speaker 7: You're listening hard Morning Show, all right, So Steve, let's
- 39:44Speaker 7: see if you can help us with a few things
- 39:46Speaker 7: some of our listeners. I'm gonna read some someone's really
- 39:50Speaker 7: polite comment or question, and we're gonna need you to
- 39:53Speaker 7: tell us what that person really meant.
- 39:56Speaker 4: Okay, let's go.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 39:58Speaker 4: This is a woman saying, oh, Tom, I didn't know
- 40:01Speaker 4: you and your mom were so close.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Ah okay, so she talking to a man named Tom.
- 40:09Speaker 6: Uh huh, Tom, I didn't know you and your mama
- 40:12Speaker 6: was so close. Damn Tom, I thought you could stand
- 40:15Speaker 6: on your own two feet. I didn't know you was
- 40:17Speaker 6: a little weak, pied back, little jellyback, little boy.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what she meant. No podcast, all right.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Okay, here's another one, Steve.
- 40:36Speaker 7: This is also from a woman. She says, John, you're
- 40:39Speaker 7: slurring your words. I can't understand you would right too
- 40:43Speaker 7: damn much.
- 40:45Speaker 1: You're gonna mess around and lose your job.
- 40:50Speaker 7: That's what she really wants to say, all right, okay,
- 40:54Speaker 7: here's another one. Yeah, we do love children, uh huh,
- 40:58Speaker 7: but this is an adult wedding reception, so no kids.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Don't bring them.
- 41:03Speaker 6: Ill man, a little bastard shooting raised over to this
- 41:07Speaker 6: reception we have because the last time it's over the
- 41:09Speaker 6: keishing them where they knocked the cake down off the
- 41:12Speaker 6: table and they set up here and knocked over the
- 41:14Speaker 6: punch bowl and everybody know it wasn't just punching that bowl.
- 41:18Speaker 1: So now we lost all that liquor money too.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Okay, that's what they really want. H Do you do
- 41:28Speaker 4: you see a dentist regularly?
- 41:30Speaker 3: You know what?
- 41:31Speaker 6: I don't know if you noticed it, but we can
- 41:33Speaker 6: see that little gap on the side of your teeth
- 41:35Speaker 6: because when you smile, they just stopped being teeth right there,
- 41:38Speaker 6: probably going up in there and see that because I'm
- 41:40Speaker 6: telling you right, I knew you.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Let when you smile real hard, you see that hole.
- 41:45Speaker 1: You can wow, that's what that meant.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Do you see regularly?
- 41:51Speaker 1: All right?
- 41:52Speaker 4: Well, I think you're you're you know, breaking it down
- 41:55Speaker 4: for it, Steve.
- 41:55Speaker 7: This one is no thanks. I don't want anything. I
- 42:00Speaker 7: ate dinner before I came over here.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Well, just sitting here looking at your fat ass.
- 42:04Speaker 6: I'm gonna pass on my meal because I Lord, no,
- 42:07Speaker 6: I can't get the where you at right now. I'm
- 42:09Speaker 6: gonna just gonna sit over here, y'all. Just here extra

- 43:20Speaker 1: that comes, ye, anything trying to stop it?
- 43:27Speaker 4: What about the one?
- 43:28Speaker 1: No, that that was it?
- 43:29Speaker 3: That was it?
- 43:30Speaker 4: What about the one the woman told you? What does
- 43:33Speaker 4: she really mean when she said I didn't like your features?
- 43:36Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 43:36Speaker 4: Facial feature, facial features.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I'm not going to the problem with your love. I
- 43:43Speaker 1: knew that's what.
- 43:46Speaker 6: I don't like your facial features. But Devin, I don't
- 43:49Speaker 6: have the money to do nothing about it. It wasn't
- 43:53Speaker 6: no b b ls back then or nothing like that.
- 43:55Speaker 6: We ain't even ain't nobody had no money for that.

- 44:00Speaker 3: Yep.
- 44:01Speaker 1: But you know I've noticed about bbls. I'll say this.
- 44:04Speaker 6: Black women's bodies have been like this the whole time,
- 44:07Speaker 6: and everybody used to make fun of it because white
- 44:09Speaker 6: men always like just breast because they weren't getting the
- 44:13Speaker 6: curvature in the back, so they made fun of women.
- 44:16Speaker 6: Now all of a sudden, everybody won't what the black

- 50:23Speaker 3: got something his country music?
- 50:25Speaker 5: I have no problem with country music. It's just that
- 50:27Speaker 5: we have a full horn section, which doesn't really work
- 50:31Speaker 5: with country music.
- 50:32Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. We play R and D.
- 50:34Speaker 5: It's not our genre.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Well I got how got what year used to doing?
- 50:40Speaker 3: But if I don't hear uh, let me see your gunner.

- 51:02Speaker 3: wait wait. Kevin's over at the bank is telling me
- 51:05Speaker 3: that you guys can sing anything in the world. Now,
- 51:08Speaker 3: I know you ain't telling the name that Kevin's line.
- 51:11Speaker 5: I mean he maybe he should have told you explicitly
- 51:14Speaker 5: what we do and what we play.
- 51:15Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, I've never met anybody in
- 51:18Speaker 3: my life. I'm playing problem playing Guardbrooks, Chris Staples and dates.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Now they ain't Brooks and Downs, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindale. Lady, ay,
- 51:28Speaker 3: you don't sit here and tell me you can't play
- 51:31Speaker 3: none of these songs. I want you to get on
- 51:34Speaker 3: the stage and sing these songs that we want done.
- 51:37Speaker 3: We ain't got time to find another group. Everybody know what,
- 51:40Speaker 3: I don't care about your stupid party.
- 51:43Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. You came to us to
- 51:45Speaker 5: play music, and.
- 51:47Speaker 3: We told you what we do. Right now. You know
- 51:50Speaker 3: right now, I feel like I feel like we had
- 51:52Speaker 3: a standoff. I'm okay around.
- 51:57Speaker 5: All right, all right, let me let talk to my band,
- 52:00Speaker 5: all right, because this is going, this is going unnecessary
- 52:03Speaker 5: too far, you know what I'm saying. Maybe we can
- 52:05Speaker 5: make it work, all right.
- 52:07Speaker 3: Let me let me ask you something. Is dra the
- 52:10Speaker 3: bass player? Yeah? Correct? Okay? Can I tell you something

- 54:21Speaker 7: We could be reading your letter live on the air,
- 54:23Speaker 7: just like we're going to read this one right here,
- 54:26Speaker 7: right now.
- 54:28Speaker 3: You never know.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 54:30Speaker 1: you here.
- 54:31Speaker 7: It is a strawberry letter thanking a for you subject.
- 54:34Speaker 7: He smells like grease and mothballs. All right, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:42Speaker 7: I met a man online and he's a decent guy
- 54:44Speaker 7: that's eight years older than I am. He's fifty nine
- 54:48Speaker 7: and divorced, and I have never been married. When we met,
- 54:51Speaker 7: we talked about everything and I really got to know him.
- 54:56Speaker 7: I found out that he's the cafeteria manager at an
- 55:00Speaker 7: office building downtown and he loves to cook. He lied
- 55:04Speaker 7: on his dating profile and said he's a chef, so
- 55:07Speaker 7: I brought that up to him. All he did was
- 55:09Speaker 7: brag about his cooking, and he said he's the best
- 55:11Speaker 7: chef I'll ever meet. So our first date was a
- 55:15Speaker 7: makeshift picnic at a park by my office, and he
- 55:18Speaker 7: brought all of the food. My first impression of him
- 55:21Speaker 7: was not good. He looked like his profile picture, thank you,
- 55:25Speaker 7: but he was all sweaty, slouchy, and sweaty. He said
- 55:29Speaker 7: he was rushing to wrap up all of the food
- 55:31Speaker 7: and make it to the date on time. He smelled
- 55:33Speaker 7: like grease and mothballs. Everything we ate was fried. He
- 55:38Speaker 7: called it his Southern soul food fest. It was a
- 55:42Speaker 7: total mess, and I told him I couldn't eat that
- 55:44Speaker 7: much greasy food. I told him he smelled like fried chicken,
- 55:48Speaker 7: and he thought it was a compliment. I can only
- 55:50Speaker 7: assume he has a problem with flying insects at home,
- 55:54Speaker 7: because his jeans and his jackets smelled like a lot
- 55:58Speaker 7: like mothballs. He smelled all on our other dates too.
- 56:02Speaker 7: He must not have a vent over his stove, or
- 56:05Speaker 7: he might not know how to use it. I think
- 56:07Speaker 7: he has great potential, and I don't want to dump
- 56:11Speaker 7: him just because he smells like a short earder cook
- 56:13Speaker 7: all the time. Is there a way to tell him
- 56:16Speaker 7: about himself? Or will it hurt his pride?
- 56:18Speaker 4: He's invited me to his house, but I don't want
- 56:22Speaker 4: to smell like him.
- 56:23Speaker 1: What do I do?
- 56:26Speaker 4: Wow, this is not starting off well.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Huh.
- 56:29Speaker 4: You don't really like a lot about this guy, And I.
- 56:32Speaker 7: Get it because it would be hard for anyone I
- 56:35Speaker 7: would think to sit there with someone who came on
- 56:37Speaker 7: a date slouchy and smelly. It would make me question
- 56:41Speaker 7: his hygiene right off the bed, and that cannot happen.
- 56:44Speaker 3: I can't do that.
- 56:46Speaker 4: This is one thing that has to be right. What
- 56:49Speaker 4: is it that you like about him?
- 56:51Speaker 3: Again?
- 56:51Speaker 4: I'm trying to remember.
- 56:53Speaker 7: You even said he must have bugs at home because
- 56:55Speaker 7: he smells like mothballs.
- 56:57Speaker 4: Well when you told him he smelled like fried chicken,
- 57:00Speaker 4: thought that was a compliment. I'm sorry. It's a hard
- 57:06Speaker 4: note for me with this guy.
- 57:07Speaker 2: It really is.
- 57:08Speaker 7: I don't think you're that desperate where you have to
- 57:11Speaker 7: date a guy with questionable hygiene and it smelly.
- 57:14Speaker 4: This is just not cool, Steve.
- 57:19Speaker 1: Uh, you know what.
- 57:22Speaker 6: Yeah, this is a petty letter with a petty problem.
- 57:32Speaker 6: But but it has potential according to her, and I
- 57:39Speaker 6: don't see it. I'm you know, Shirley asked, what is it?
- 57:44Speaker 3: You know what?
- 57:47Speaker 6: But look, you met this man online. He's a decent guy.
- 57:53Speaker 6: He's eight years older than I am. He's fifty nine
- 57:57Speaker 6: and divorced. Okay, that means you're fifty one one, never
- 58:01Speaker 6: been married. What's the problem already?
- 58:06Speaker 1: It sound like you.
- 58:10Speaker 6: Fifty one now, lady, never been married. When you meet
- 58:15Speaker 6: a fifty old man that ain't ever been married, don't.
- 58:18Speaker 1: The red flag go up for you? For sure? Well?
- 58:21Speaker 1: If she go up for a man too.
- 58:24Speaker 6: We talked about everything, and I finally found out that
- 58:29Speaker 6: he's the cafeteria cafeteria manager at an office building downtown
- 58:36Speaker 6: and he loves to cook. Now you say he lied
- 58:39Speaker 6: on his dating profile and said he's a chef. Well
- 58:44Speaker 6: if he does the cooking down at the office building,
- 58:49Speaker 6: but he's also the manager of the cafeteria.
- 58:51Speaker 1: But he had to cook at one point. I don't
- 58:54Speaker 1: see the lie. Maybe he is a chef.
- 58:58Speaker 6: That's the term you would call it short on the
- 59:01Speaker 6: cook chef, burger flipper. He want to call his chef.
- 59:05Speaker 6: You know how the game go and so now and
- 59:10Speaker 6: all he did was brag about his cooking. He said
- 59:13Speaker 6: he's the best chef I'll ever meet.
- 59:15Speaker 1: And I bet he was. I bet you ain't never
- 59:17Speaker 1: dated the chef before. So so far he telling the truth.
- 59:24Speaker 6: Now, your first date is a makeshift picnic at a
- 59:28Speaker 6: park down there by your office. Then you said, and
- 59:33Speaker 6: he bought all the food. But then you said, my
- 59:36Speaker 6: first impression of him was not good. He looked like
- 59:40Speaker 6: his profile picture, but he was all slouchy and sweaty.
- 59:45Speaker 6: Now the man said he was rushing to wrap up
- 59:47Speaker 6: all the food and make it to the date on time,
- 59:50Speaker 6: he smelled like grease and mothballs. Everything we ate was fried.
- 59:56Speaker 6: He called it his Southern soul food fast. Mama, Come on,
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: fried chicken, fried hush puppies, fried hot water, corn bread,
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: fried corn, had some fried okra. Yeah, all up in here,
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: fried chicken. Come on, boy, I'm clapping. I'm enjoyed the
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: soul food fast to the highest. It was a total mess.
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: I told him I couldn't eat that much greasy food.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: You the probably told a lot of me and a
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: lot of stuff. That's why you're asked by yourself.
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: Hang on, Steve, one, part two of your response coming
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: Subject he smells like grease and mothballs. That's the issue.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: You're listening.
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: Morning show, All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: strawberry letter.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: The subject he smells like grease and mothballs.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Well, that's what she's say.
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: So she met this man online who's divorced, eight years
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: older than her. She's fifty one. They go on a date.
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: He tells her on a profile that he's a chef,
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: come to find out he's a manager at a food
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: cafeteria down at a business office down there. Out of line,
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: said chef too, he probably do some cooking, and if
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: the cook don't come in, he probably had to do
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: all the damn cooking. So y'all, first date is a
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: makeshift picnic around the corner from the office you work at.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: He bought all the food.
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: Then when he got there, he looked like his profile picture,
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: but it was the first impression wasn't good because he
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: was slouchy and sweaty. Well, the man was hustling trying
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: to get all the food together ready for the date
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: so it wouldn't be late. Now he smelled like grease
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: and mothballs. He been in the kitchen cooking.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I got it.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: Everything we ate was fried. He called it his southern
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: soul food fed. I knew exactly what he had. Hush puppies,
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: hot water corn bread, fried chicken, oakra bitch, fried fried corn.
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: Serving it up, he had them fried mushroom puffs. They
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: was fried too. I enjoyed myself, but you said it
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: was a total mess, And I told him I couldn't
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: eat that much greasy food. See that's why you fifty one,
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: ain't never been married.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Because you bugy, because you can't eat greasy food.
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: Now you should have been Now, your fluffy ass don't
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: eat fried chicken? Really okay, really it was your fluffy
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: ass don't want no damn fried okra really? Now she say,
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: what he smelled like grease and mothballs and everything we
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: ate with fried? I told him he smelled like fried chicken.
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: He took it as a compliment. Hell, yeah, you smell
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: like fried chicken. I know that's right, Thank you so much,
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: Thank you, baby. I friedayed myself.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: K't you tell I did this for you?
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: And then she said, I can only assume he has
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: a problem with flying insects at his house because his
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: jeans and his jacket smell a lot like mothballs. Okay,
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: all right, he smelled off on our other dates too.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: Oh so you have kept going out with it. He
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: must not have a vent over his stove or he
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: might not know how to use it, okay, lady. And
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: then out of nowhere here comes the statement that threw me.
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: I think he has great potential, and I don't want
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: to dump him just because he smelled like a short ordericle.
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: What where did this come from. What potential you talking about?
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: Cause the whole letter you've been dogging him.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: Yeah, but so I think on those other dates you
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: must have enjoyed his conversation, maybe the way he treated you.
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: But now you so now you think that's some potential land.
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: You don't want to dumb him just because he smelled
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: like a short order cook all the time. Is that
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: way to tell him about himself? Or well it hurt
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: you know already told him man, he smelled like.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: Fried chicken, but he took it as a compliment.
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: So but you want to hurt him, So why don't
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: you just go on and say, like, hey, you smell
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: like fried chicken, and but you stink like mouthballs? What
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: is going on at your house? Do you have for
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: insects in your house? Loss and stuff? Because all your
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: clothes smell like I can't think that he fifty nine.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: He's invited me to his house, but I don't want
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to smell like him.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: What do I do?
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Okay, lady, break up with him.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: You ain't got nobody, You ain't never had nobody, and
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: you ain't finna get nobody because you want somebody perfect.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: This man is old.
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: You can go in there, straighten out that mouthball smell.
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: You can straighten that out. That ain't nothing. He probably
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: need a woman's touching. Come in there and show him something. Anyway,
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: he probably packed up all his stuff with their mouthballs
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: after that divorce. His ex wife put all his stuff
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: in the mouth ball to make him smell that way.
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: He just unpacking it. He too old and stupid to know.
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: You could go in there and really straighten this man out,
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: and you might have something. But now you don't want
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: to go over his house because I don't want to
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: smell like him when you come home.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: You can't shower, you can't send your clothes to the cleaners.
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: How about you go over there and say, hey, you
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: know what, I've noticed this smell of mothballs, and now
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: I see why. You know what you ought to do.
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: They got this new detergent out call for breeze. Let
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: me wash your clothes in for breeze, and then use
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: these little tielets when you throw them in the dry
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: and you can get rid of that smell. See that's
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: how you tell a man without hurting his pride. See,
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: instead of telling a person the problem, why don't you
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: tell him the problem with the solution, then he ain't hurt.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: He might see a kindness in you that no other
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: man has ever seen before. Because you ain't been married
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: and you fifty one, ain't nobody wanted you up until now?
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: Uh uh oh wow, no, no, ain't no, uh uh
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: that could be her choice? Wow what you mean that
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: could have been her choice? Okay, watch you on the
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: dating site?
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Well now yeah, yeah you want some, but now.
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: You half a hundred and now you're and and and
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: now your selection pool has dwindled. You ain't o in

- 1:06:52Speaker 6: you need to do is take this fifty nine year
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: old man to smell like fried chicken and moball and
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: fix him up, all right, because I got news for y'all.
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: It's something wrong with her.

- 1:10:14Speaker 10: without even I got that. I got Men's now men's
- 1:10:19Speaker 10: man the championship game.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Got everything I need for the house.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: You miss not big fast?
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Coming up?
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: Thank you you and you're coming up at the top
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: of the hour. Pixt your face, Steve Ah wants to
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: know why her husband won't pay off a lady he
- 1:10:39Speaker 7: slept with won't get back into it.
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: Right after this, you're listening.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: Morning show.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: This is from Steve. This is from Shaquila and Murphysboro.
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: She says, last month, my husband had sex with one
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: of our employees inside the stock room. Okay, if that's
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: not shocking enough, well the employee is trying to extort
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: money from us. So we are lucky that the whole
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: sexual encounter was called on video. I took the video
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: to the police station and the employee was given a
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: stern warning by police. Now she's threatening to post the
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: video on social media. I'm willing to give her a
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: little hush money to go away, but my husband said,
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: let her do whatever she's.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Going to do.
- 1:11:24Speaker 9: Has he no shame?
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: How can he not consider my feelings in this?
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: Now, see husband up in their stock room letting me go. Yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: your that's why he said, you can put this this
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: like advertised gold. So I head off on the top
- 1:11:38Speaker 6: of that bucket, the fucket, but see the good one.
- 1:11:44Speaker 6: But see here's the deal, because you're not making a
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: stink of it. He not fit to pay nothing because
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: the only person.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: He really concerned with is you really?
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Is he?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: That's the only one.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: Listen to me, if you could get away with this
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: and your girl standing in your corner, what you got
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: to pay off?
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: So she don't do what? Put it on social media?
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: And because the wife already knows right, I'm not brushing
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: my marriage and this ain't gonna hurt my business.
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: But she doesn't want everyone else to know that her
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: husband was cheating on her. She's humiliating for her. Yeah,
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: we need to see the video we got we need
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: to do I don't Yeah, we mean, why what is
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: your for watching everything?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: We need to just see what we're talking about. I
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: mean we're talking about, but we ain't seen it. That's
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: in d see it. Listen to me the picture. Let
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: me see exactly what I'm talking about.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: You know, he's in the movie, Steve. He's an actor,
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: you know he is.
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: I don't want to see nobody doing nothing. I don't
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: care nothing about none of that. Steal a photo or something.
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: We're talking about sending me to steal a photo, but
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: a video or somebody doing something.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: And this is what that.
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: One more time, Tommy, what let's see it so we
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: can discuss it.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Further. Good God, Steve, it's like a body cam. You
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: got to see it.
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: We need to see what happened, you know, like the police,
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: you can make an intelligent assessment of what really.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Sure, that's all I'm saying.
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: I think though, this husband has gotten away with almost
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: like murder here.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, murderer, but.
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: I mean seriously, you know, yeah, in the in the
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: in the stock room with an employee on tape, and
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: your wife is with you.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: She's seen the video hard sure that his wife is
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: standing behind him. And he's got a good catch. He
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: got a good catch.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: A man terrible, He's terrible. The husband is terrible. He's horrible. Yeah,
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: this is ridiculous.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Don't put the video out. I ain't worried. What what
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: about your wife?
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: Like she said, had how can he not consider my
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: feelings in this?
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Steve? Really I understand what she said. Yeah, but didn't
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: y'all just say he's horrible?
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: Yes he is?
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: Okay, what what what you want to all of a
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: sudden be great boom, No, listen to me, No, he
- 1:14:43Speaker 6: didn't been with this employee in this uh closet, stock room,
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: stock room? You hate that about it? Yes, and now
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: you want him to do something righteous, yes, never right, to.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: Do what's right. Yeah, maybe try to make it up
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: to his wife.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: You know, you know how many times it's too late
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: to do something right.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:06Speaker 6: I don't know where y'all be getting these saying from
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: without thinking them through. It's never too late to do right.
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: It's way too damn late.
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: She's still with him.
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: She's still with him, I'll.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Tell you right now, usually standing in front of the judge.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Really too late.
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: Now, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Let me see the tape you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: Here's a quick fashion tidbit for the men. Steve, you'll
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: you'll want to hear this.
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: Male handbags are having a moment with many celebrity sporting
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: designer bags and toads now. According to Vogue, business sales
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: for men's designer bags have jumped considerably in the past years.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: The reason is convenience, all right, simple as that convenience. So, Steve,
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: this is nothing new for you. We know that you've
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: been rocking designer bag for years, whether it's a crossbody,
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: a backpack, a double bag.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: So what is that like for you?
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: I mean, is it convenient? Do you feel it?
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Or is it a carrying my stuff?
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Like a woman.
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: I got two phones, you know, I've been rocking back.
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: I bought some nice ones too. I bought a cold
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: another day. Uh huh.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: My wife bought me another travel bag. You know. Yeah,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I've been on the junior. He don't do that right
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: now here. No, I'm looking at you crazy, like what
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: I can't. I can't open my wallet in my hand,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: and my wife open hushed too. We can't both have
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: pocket books.
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: But it's a masculine. You can wear it in a
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: masculine way.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I don't know how to do that.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: I ain't.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: I ain't got it.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: You haven't got You're not there yet, Tommy.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Oh, I got many backpackers.
- 1:16:47Speaker 11: I got you.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Every every medicine that's on my nice stand is in
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: that bag.
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: It has to stay with me.
- 1:16:54Speaker 6: I got to have that bag now. I do believe
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: there's an age limit for backpacks. By his old asses?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: At it?
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: And what should it carry?
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: I got it?
- 1:17:05Speaker 11: I got red bottle backpack man. I got a field.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: Coming up with thirty three minutes after let's play around it.
- 1:17:15Speaker 7: Would you rather right after this you're listening hard Morning show,
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: It's time now for a round, And would you rather
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: would you rather one point three billion annuity payments or
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: six hundred and twenty one million cash options?
- 1:17:31Speaker 8: Are that work?
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I don't know about that.
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: Well, it's a twenty year period. They'll pay you out.
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: So let's do some numbers. All right, let's just do
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: a little bit riplet it. If you got a billion
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: dollars over ten years, that's one hundred million a year.
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: Break that down by twelve months. You're looking at one
- 1:17:55Speaker 6: hundred million a year. Break that down by ten that's
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: ten million a month.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Uh eight about eight nine.
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: Eight something a month? Eight milli a month. I guess
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: I could do that eight million a month again and
- 1:18:15Speaker 6: stretch it on our one hundred million on your Yeah,
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: give me that six.
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: What are we talking about?
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Five million?
- 1:18:25Speaker 6: Move on, y'all can have that other five hundred million
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: on top of mine and work it on out, all right?
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: Would you rather ride the tallest roller coaster or would
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: you rather slide down the curvious water slide?
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: Which one roller coaster water slide?
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: I'm gonna take that slide really, yeah, slide yeah, but
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: slide into what water?
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Give me a roller coast? I chant my mind. I
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: can't be more. I'm in that roller coast. I need
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: another pair of pan I can't stand roller coaster.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: But man, slide down and slide the longest, slipperiest curveer
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: and then shoot my ass in that water.
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: And it's cold. Don't forget that the I ain't.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Worried about that, damn that.
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: It's the going down that's gonna create a lot of
- 1:19:25Speaker 6: trouble and then it shoot you in the air. Then
- 1:19:27Speaker 6: when I land in that water, I got a whole
- 1:19:29Speaker 6: nother situation. Ain't nobody said nothing about how deep.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: The water is?
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: All right, So you're gonna take the roller coaster there?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Yeah? And I hate it, but I all right.
- 1:19:43Speaker 7: Would you rather have small feet and long toes or
- 1:19:47Speaker 7: would you rather have big hands and short fingers?
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Well answer, I'm gonna go with big hands and short
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Did you got that?
- 1:20:01Speaker 9: Now?
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I don't know why both of them look straight flicked?
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: But go ahead?
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Which one you got?
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: I got?
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: I got the same thing, hand, short fingers.
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: So what's the other one? And what's the other option?
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: The other one is small feet, long toes?
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Yeah, both look, okay, wish one.
- 1:20:23Speaker 11: We gotta go on.
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: I don't know what to tell you, but I ain't
- 1:20:27Speaker 6: got no I take the I take, I take the
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: big hands with the little shelf.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: That's the same thing.
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: All right, thank you. That's today's rounded.
- 1:20:39Speaker 7: Would you rather coming up next our last break of
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: the day, and we'll close out the show with.
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: The one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: You're listening Morning show?
- 1:20:49Speaker 7: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: day on this Wednesday. It's been a good day, Steve.
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: Any parting words.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Closing.
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: My closing remarks today is based off a lesson that
- 1:21:05Speaker 6: Judge Greg Math has taught me back in two thousand
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: and nine.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I think it was.
- 1:21:12Speaker 6: Hm, you know, somewhere in that he was at an
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: incident that I was at that happened to me, and
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: immediately following the incident, I was gonna enact my own
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: form of judgment. In other words, I was gonna take
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: matters into my own hands. Judge Math has grabbed me
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: and pulled me to the side, and he taught me
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: a lesson that I've never forgot.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: He said, Brother, listen to me.
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: I understand how you feel, he said, But you can't
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: be big and small at the same time. That lesson,
- 1:21:47Speaker 6: that judge math has taught me that day has kept
- 1:21:51Speaker 6: me through a lot of times. You can't be big
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: and small at the last time, at the same time,
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: if you wondered what it was, here's the deal. Have
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: you ever had to make a decision that required you
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: to take the high road? Have you ever had to
- 1:22:07Speaker 6: make a decision that had to make you elevate yourself
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: against the opposition? And as uncomfortable as that is, as
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: unfair as that might seem, as unjustified as this oftentimes is,
- 1:22:23Speaker 6: that's just the road you have to take.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: I know it would seem easy to get out on
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: they level and handle it, but then what are we
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: really talking about? What's the real benefit there? And so
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: many times in your life you're going to have to
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: be the bigger person.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:22:41Speaker 6: I heard somebody saying one time, if you always got
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: to be the bigger person, you got to.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Stop hanging around all these small people. That's a true
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: statement too.
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: But I've decided many times in my life to be
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: the bigger person because it sets an example, it teaches
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: a lesson. See once you take vengeance out of the equation.
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: Once you take that I got to get even with
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: you out the equation, it actually freeze you up. Because, Man,
- 1:23:12Speaker 6: I can't tell you the energy I used to spind
- 1:23:15Speaker 6: figuring out how I was gonna get back at somebody.
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: I can't tell you the energy I have spent in
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: my life. When I see them, I most showed them.
- 1:23:26Speaker 6: Do you know, man, that I looked for a dude
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: one time for eleven years, eleven years, I looked for
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: a dude who had wronged me. Eleven years I looked
- 1:23:41Speaker 6: for him. I'm talking about every store I went in. Ahmen,
- 1:23:45Speaker 6: your man, your boy just left out. I run out
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: the door, try to jump in the car back. Hey man,
- 1:23:50Speaker 6: your man was just at the club. Man, he just left.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Man, you ain't see your dude. He was over here.
- 1:23:55Speaker 6: Nobody knew that I had it in for this guy
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: as spent. Excuse me, I don't mean say Levins. I
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: spent seven years, seven years looking for this guy.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Do you know what happened? My mama died.
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: And he sent to my mama's funeral, the biggest bouquet
- 1:24:13Speaker 6: at the funeral, and he said, hey man, sorry for
- 1:24:17Speaker 6: your loss. Do you know at that moment what he
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: had done to me seven years ago did not even
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: matter to me, because the best person I ever knew
- 1:24:29Speaker 6: in my life was laying in a box up there,
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: and I was saying goodbye to her, and all of
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: a sudden the real perspective of things crashed in on me. Man,
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: you been looking for this dude. Man, this dude don't
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: even know you been looking for him. You just spent
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: all this energy looking for him. He really don't think
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: what he did to you was all that was wrong.
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: And now he just sent to your mama's funeral the
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: biggest bouquet there. Hey, man, sorry for your loss. That's
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: the day I let it go. And I can't tell you.
- 1:25:01Speaker 6: I could probably give you example of example of how
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: I've wasted my energy trying to seek revenge or trying
- 1:25:08Speaker 6: to get back at somebody. What a waste of time,
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: Steve Harvey, What a waste of energy. And as I've
- 1:25:16Speaker 6: gotten older, my number my mama died twenty seven years ago,
- 1:25:19Speaker 6: so I've grown from that. I stopped chasing people, I
- 1:25:24Speaker 6: stop harboring against people. I started being the bigger man now.
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: In two thousand and nine, I had a setback, and
- 1:25:32Speaker 6: I was going to enact my own form of revenge
- 1:25:34Speaker 6: and judge me one night, until Judge Matthews pulled me
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: to the side and reminded me, you can't be big
- 1:25:40Speaker 6: and small at the same time. See, when you're on
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: a mission somewhere, y'all, you got to be aware of
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: the distractions. The devil is smart. He's sending stuff your
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: way to keep you off course. He know how to
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: get to you, and he got impstats working for him.
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: Twenty four to seven. That's on call. Well, he will
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: put in your path just to distract you. Don't get distracted.
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: Stay on the wall, keep climbing that corporate ladder, keep
- 1:26:08Speaker 6: following your dream, keep chasing all the possibilities, Keep living
- 1:26:12Speaker 6: a life filled with hope and anticipation. Don't get caught
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: up in these small minded people are trying to slow
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: you down and cause a distraction because they ain't going nowhere.
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: They don't want you to go nowhere either. Well, I
- 1:26:25Speaker 6: got news for you. I'm going somewhere. I'm on my
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: way somewhere. God has a plan for me. I'm living
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: in my purpose. I'm waking up every day on a
