- 0:00Speaker 1: The Quality Leering Center in Minneapolis. Remember the leering center,
- 0:04Speaker 1: you know where you send your kids to learn something,
- 0:07Speaker 1: But it's called the leering Center. It's not a joke.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It was on their sign will That center, plus twenty
- 0:14Speaker 1: other Minnesota daycares have now been rated by the FBI
- 0:19Speaker 1: as part of a massive fraud investigation. The FBI not
- 0:23Speaker 1: only rated the infamous Quality Leering Center, but they went
- 0:27Speaker 1: after the other ones as well, the FBI describing it
- 0:31Speaker 1: as a multi billion dollars social services fraud. Now the raids,
- 0:37Speaker 1: they say, we're focused on prominent businesses tied to the
- 0:40Speaker 1: Somali American community. Today, the FBI, with federal, state, and
- 0:45Speaker 1: local law enforcement, is involved in court authorized law enforcement
- 0:50Speaker 1: activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation. Is what
- 0:55Speaker 1: a Justice Department official told the New York Posts. Agents
- 0:59Speaker 1: used a back ter ram to enter at least one
- 1:01Speaker 1: of the alleged day cares, the Metro Learning Center. No
- 1:05Speaker 1: word if they used to call it the leering Center
- 1:07Speaker 1: or not.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:09Speaker 1: The targets included the Quality Learning Center of Minnesota daycare
- 1:12Speaker 1: that misspelled the word learning and its signage and collected
- 1:16Speaker 1: a staggering ninety five violations from the State Human Services
- 1:21Speaker 1: Agency between twenty nineteen and twenty twenty three that according
- 1:26Speaker 1: to the local ABC News affiliate there, President Trump announced
- 1:31Speaker 1: a war on fraud in his February Day of the
- 1:33Speaker 1: Union address and put Vice President J. D. Vance in
- 1:36Speaker 1: charge of a task force leading that effort.
- 1:39Speaker 3: But before we.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Get to that, I want to tell you about our
- 1:41Speaker 1: good friends at Patriot Mobile. America is entering the two
- 1:45Speaker 1: hundred and fiftieth year, and the direction of this country
- 1:48Speaker 1: is being decided right now in our culture and our economy,
- 1:52Speaker 1: and who we choose to support matters more than ever.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Most wireless companies don't care who you are or what
- 1:59Speaker 1: you believe. They just want your money. Patriot Mobile they're different.
- 2:03Speaker 1: For more than twelve years, they've stood with Americans who
- 2:06Speaker 1: believe freedom is worth defending, funding the Christian Conservative movement
- 2:11Speaker 1: when others stay silent. That's what they do. So here's
- 2:15Speaker 1: the deal. You don't have to give up quality or
- 2:17Speaker 1: service when you switch to Patriot Mobile. They deliver premium
- 2:22Speaker 1: priority access on all three major US networks, so you'll
- 2:26Speaker 1: get the same or better coverage than you have today.

- 2:33Speaker 1: twenty six. You keep your number, keep your phone, or
- 2:36Speaker 1: upgrade and they're one hundred percent US based support team
- 2:39Speaker 1: can activate you in minutes still paying off a device.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile even offers a contract buyout. This is a
- 2:47Speaker 1: defining year. We must work together to save our country.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Go to Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson or call
- 2:56Speaker 1: ninety seven to Patriot use the promo code ferguson for
- 3:01Speaker 1: a three month of service. I use Patriot Mobile and
- 3:04Speaker 1: you can too. Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or nine
- 3:08Speaker 1: to seven to two Patriot Switched today now. Minnesota Representative
- 3:12Speaker 1: Kristin Robbins, chair of the House Fraud Committee, called the
- 3:15Speaker 1: raids fantastic and said she hoped they would lead to
- 3:19Speaker 1: accountability the state has been lacking for years. Here's more
- 3:24Speaker 1: of what unfolded on TV as this became public news.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Federal agents seen leaving the Quality Learning Center and Brooke
- 3:33Speaker 4: Taylor has more on that and what they're looking for.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Brooked morning, Hi Bill, good morning.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 7: We have had a photographer there at the daycare since
- 3:43Speaker 7: this morning capturing video of those federal.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Agents just going in and out of the building.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Collecting evidence as part of the DOJ's fraud investigation in Minnesota.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Take a look at this video here.
- 3:55Speaker 7: Sources tell Fox that federal agents are rating about twenty
- 3:59Speaker 7: two businesses across Minneapolis this morning, and sources say many
- 4:04Speaker 7: of them are tied to some moally owned operations. All
- 4:08Speaker 7: of this comes after that viral YouTube video from Nick Shirley.
- 4:12Speaker 7: It was back in December. In that video, he visited
- 4:15Speaker 7: different child's care centers and you'll remember they were either
- 4:18Speaker 7: closed or there were just no children inside, despite receiving
- 4:22Speaker 7: state child's care funding. Now the location that you're looking
- 4:26Speaker 7: at right now, it's the Quality Learning Center.
- 4:29Speaker 5: This is the daycare. It went viral, It.
- 4:31Speaker 7: Blew up on social media because of a sign outside
- 4:34Speaker 7: with learning that was literally misspelled. The Education secretary at
- 4:39Speaker 7: the time claimed that the daycare received one point nine
- 4:43Speaker 7: million dollars while quote.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Masquerading as a daycare.
- 4:46Speaker 7: And then shortly after that, the Trump administration announced it
- 4:50Speaker 7: was freezing child's care funding to Minnesota and calling for
- 4:54Speaker 7: a full audit of certain daycare centers. And just checking
- 4:58Speaker 7: my emails, now it looks like we I got a
- 5:00Speaker 7: statement from DHS share and quote Homeland Security investigations in
- 5:06Speaker 7: cooperation with our law enforcement partners, executed criminal search warrants
- 5:11Speaker 7: in Minneapolis relating to the rampant fraud of US taxpayers dollars,
- 5:16Speaker 7: and as you could see, their federal agents still outside
- 5:20Speaker 7: one of those daycare centers where they have been the
- 5:23Speaker 7: last few hours.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Now, this is truly incredible, because again you've got twenty
- 5:28Speaker 1: two different businesses being rated that represent only the tip
- 5:31Speaker 1: of the iceberg.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Clearly, if they.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Found enough to execute raids against twenty two, there is
- 5:36Speaker 1: still a long way to go in this. We have dozens,
- 5:39Speaker 1: probably closer to one hundred childcare centers where their license
- 5:43Speaker 1: capacity is much lower than their units they are being
- 5:46Speaker 1: billed for, and that is a clear indicator of fraud.
- 5:50Speaker 1: How on earth those are still allowed to have active
- 5:53Speaker 1: licenses is stunning to us. I couldn't agree more with
- 5:57Speaker 1: the congresswoman from Minnesota. Now, let me also remind you
- 6:01Speaker 1: that the focus on frauday Minnesota had largely been on
- 6:04Speaker 1: the pandemic era of food programs and autism support services
- 6:09Speaker 1: that fleeced taxpayers for countless dollars. The Justice Department since
- 6:15Speaker 1: September has indicted seven alleged fraudsters who allegedly recruited members
- 6:20Speaker 1: of the Somali community to enroll children and fake autism services,
- 6:25Speaker 1: raking in more than fourteen million a loan. One defendant
- 6:29Speaker 1: has now pled guilty. Now at least sixty five people
- 6:33Speaker 1: have been charged as well criminally with the separate Feeding
- 6:37Speaker 1: Our Future scam, which ripped off taxpayers the tune of
- 6:41Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty million in counting. Many have pleaded
- 6:45Speaker 1: guilty in that case as well. With the DOJ has
- 6:49Speaker 1: begun prosecuting many of those cases back during the Biden administration.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Now the Trump administration is also estimating just in Minnesota
- 6:59Speaker 1: loan that there is now more than nineteen billion I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: going to say that again, nineteen billion in fraud. Dozens
- 7:09Speaker 1: have been charged criminally. A Democratic governor Tim Wallas expressed
- 7:14Speaker 1: regret during a recent congressional hearing for not doing more
- 7:17Speaker 1: to guard against fraud, and noted that he had accepted
- 7:21Speaker 1: responsibility by ending his bid for his third term as
- 7:25Speaker 1: the governor of the state of Minnesota. In an ex
- 7:28Speaker 1: post Tuesday morning, he voiced support for efforts to find
- 7:31Speaker 1: and root out frauds urch despite previously dismissing the investigation.
- 7:35Speaker 1: As he described it white supremacy not a joke. If
- 7:39Speaker 1: you commit fraud in Minnesota, you're going to get caught.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And that's exactly what we saw today. He tweeted out,
- 7:45Speaker 1: we catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information,
- 7:49Speaker 1: joined investigations work, and securing justice depends on it. He wrote,
- 7:54Speaker 1: in a stunning about face because now, well he knows
- 7:58Speaker 1: those donations and the Somali fraudsters aren't going to be
- 8:02Speaker 1: coming in to him and other Democratic candidates. The statement
- 8:06Speaker 1: was a massive about face for the twenty twenty four
- 8:08Speaker 1: Democratic vice presidential nominee. He previously suggested that fraud investigations
- 8:15Speaker 1: targeting businesses that are mostly run by the Somali immigrant
- 8:18Speaker 1: community were scapegoating and the result again of white supremacy.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Walt said Tuesday that the raids were carried out with
- 8:27Speaker 1: the support of local law enforcement. That is another departure
- 8:30Speaker 1: from the mass immigration raids that took place across Minnesota
- 8:34Speaker 1: earlier this year. Those operations carried out against the protests
- 8:39Speaker 1: of state and local leaders through widespread backlash, which increased
- 8:43Speaker 1: after federal agents killed two people in Minnesota. Now this
- 8:48Speaker 1: isn't the only fraud that the administration is looking at
- 8:52Speaker 1: there are other frauds that are happening around the country.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And let me just get you ready for what I'm
- 8:58Speaker 1: about to play for you. Secretary Brook Rawlings revealed that
- 9:02Speaker 1: in just one state alone, there were fourteen thousand individuals
- 9:09Speaker 1: receiving SNAP benefits that were driving high end luxury cars.
- 9:15Speaker 3: You want to talk about the tip of the iceberg.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Listen to this sharing.
- 9:20Speaker 8: Previously, no data was shared. We had no idea where
- 9:22Speaker 8: the taxpayer dollars were spent just one Red state. The
- 9:25Speaker 8: recent dump of data, we found SNAP recipients had more
- 9:29Speaker 8: than two thousand Tesla owners, two hundred Alpha Romeo owners,
- 9:33Speaker 8: more than one hundred and forty four that were receiving
- 9:36Speaker 8: food stamps.
- 9:37Speaker 5: We're driving porsches.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Again.
- 9:39Speaker 8: This is the data dumps we're getting because that we
- 9:42Speaker 8: before we had no accountability on any of these programs.
- 9:45Speaker 8: We now are requiring accountability. The blue states are suing us.
- 9:48Speaker 8: They don't want to share the data. And can you
- 9:50Speaker 8: imagine this was a red state where there is actually
- 9:54Speaker 8: some taxpayer accountability. Imagine what's happening in the blue states.
- 9:58Speaker 8: If that's happening in the red state.
- 10:00Speaker 1: This goes back to the President of the United States
- 10:02Speaker 1: of America saying we're going to start looking for fraud everywhere.
- 10:06Speaker 1: We are not just going to sit here and act
- 10:09Speaker 1: like it's only happening in liberal states. We now know
- 10:12Speaker 1: it's happening in conservative states, many times in liberal cities,
- 10:16Speaker 1: because almost every conservative state does have liberal cities, and
- 10:21Speaker 1: that is where you see this massive fraud. We've been
- 10:25Speaker 1: talking a lot about fraud, waste, and abuse, and we
- 10:28Speaker 1: know exactly what has happened with the Quality Leering Center
- 10:32Speaker 1: in Minnesota. But it's not just the fraud and the
- 10:36Speaker 1: FBI ratings twenty plus places in Minnesota. It now seems
- 10:41Speaker 1: that the administration is focusing on a lot of other
- 10:45Speaker 1: fraudile and activity. Some of it even involves food stamps.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And there was a very interesting article that was written
- 10:52Speaker 1: about the number of recipients of food stamps that are
- 10:55Speaker 1: actually driving ferraris. I'm not talking about just like one
- 11:00Speaker 1: talking about a lot. We're also talking about people driving
- 11:03Speaker 1: Lamborghini's and Bentley's and range Rovers and Porsches, Yes, getting
- 11:09Speaker 1: food stamps. Center Cruz and I talked about that earlier,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and I want you to hear what he had to
- 11:15Speaker 1: say about what the government's going to do next and
- 11:17Speaker 1: what you can expect. I want to move center on
- 11:20Speaker 1: to another topic, and that is some good news for
- 11:22Speaker 1: people that are sick and tired of seeing crimes committed
- 11:25Speaker 1: in one actual action, especially when it comes to taxpayer
- 11:28Speaker 1: dollars disappearing by the tens of billions.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And now we have the FBI that.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Has rated the Minneapolis fraud ridden care centers at twenty
- 11:39Speaker 1: plus of these that were actually raided by the FBI,
- 11:42Speaker 1: including the famous children's leering center that was supposed to
- 11:46Speaker 1: say on their sign learning but it was just a
- 11:48Speaker 1: leering center.
- 11:50Speaker 2: That one was rated as well. And I am.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Excited to just say, at least it looks like now
- 11:57Speaker 1: we're getting some real action into stole upping this fraud
- 12:01Speaker 1: and is showing that if you take away taxpayer dours
- 12:03Speaker 1: this way and you send it to terrorist organizations like
- 12:06Speaker 1: ALUs Jabab and you bribe democrats to look the other way,
- 12:10Speaker 1: like Governor Waltz, but with campaign contributions, somebody is at
- 12:14Speaker 1: least going to.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Come in and actually hold you accountable.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yes, look, I'm very glad that there is finally going
- 12:19Speaker 3: to be some accountability. Twenty two locations in Minneapolis rated
- 12:23Speaker 3: by the FBI. This week you mentioned the Quality Leering Center.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Of course they're most proud graduate ilhan Omar, who actually
- 12:31Speaker 3: is not technical.
- 12:32Speaker 1: World War eleven yesterday? Did you know about that? We
- 12:35Speaker 1: got eleven war wars? That's impressive stuff. I didn't think
- 12:37Speaker 1: the King of Eland knew that.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It really is stunning. So she was giving a speech
- 12:43Speaker 3: and the speech referenced World War two, but the two
- 12:46Speaker 3: is two Roman numerals, and that's you know, how you
- 12:49Speaker 3: normally write world War two? And she read that as
- 12:53Speaker 3: World War eleven yes now.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And didn't like correct herself, just owned it and kept
- 12:57Speaker 1: going like it was not like if you I did that.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And by the way, if you've ever read a speech
- 13:02Speaker 1: and you're tired or you're just kind of it's a
- 13:04Speaker 1: long day, you can you might, but you immediately correct it.
- 13:08Speaker 1: She had no clue, no idea.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Look, look, there's a level of ignorance there. If a
- 13:15Speaker 3: ninth grader thought World War II was World War eleven,
- 13:19Speaker 3: you would flunk that ninth grader. I mean, you think
- 13:22Speaker 3: about it.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Just too Nowadays we'll just socially just pass them on
- 13:25Speaker 1: in our public school. So so back in the good
- 13:27Speaker 1: old days, you'd fail.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Look look, Ilhan Omar is one of the leading Democrats.
- 13:31Speaker 3: She and AOC and I mean the crazy squad is
- 13:34Speaker 3: driving the agenda of Democrats today. And the level of
- 13:38Speaker 3: ignorance of basic world history is really stunning. And Omar
- 13:46Speaker 3: was also integral in covering up the Somali fraud in Minnesota.
- 13:53Speaker 3: She was a beneficiary of it. She was elected by
- 13:57Speaker 3: the fraudsters. The Somali voting base is is her core base.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Their money helped elect her, their votes did elect her.
- 14:07Speaker 3: And she and Tim Wallson the governor, and Keith Ellison,
- 14:11Speaker 3: the ag they were all absolutely involved in the cover up.
- 14:16Speaker 3: They had every incentive. It was corrupt and we're talking
- 14:19Speaker 3: over nine billion dollars of taxpayer money swindled away. And
- 14:24Speaker 3: so here's what Fox News reported about the raids. Federal
- 14:28Speaker 3: authorities rated more than twenty locations, including child care facilities,
- 14:32Speaker 3: in Minneapolis on Tuesday as part of a sweeping fraud
- 14:36Speaker 3: investigation into largely Somali owned businesses. Sources confirmed to Fox News.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Quote today, the FBI, with federal, state and local law
- 14:44Speaker 3: enforcement is involved in court authorized law enforcement activity as
- 14:50Speaker 3: part of an ongoing fraud investigation. A Department of Justice
- 14:53Speaker 3: spokesperson said authorities executed twenty two federal search warrants in
- 14:57Speaker 3: Minnesota on Tuesday morning as part of to the operation,
- 15:01Speaker 3: which is not immigration related. Sources said the raids center
- 15:05Speaker 3: on federal fraud investigations into largely Somali owned businesses, including
- 15:09Speaker 3: childcare facilities that registered their daycare with the state but
- 15:15Speaker 3: were allegedly billing for care that was not provided. Sources
- 15:19Speaker 3: told Fox News that two of the raids were conducted
- 15:21Speaker 3: at the Quality Leering Center and Baby haleim No Childcare,
- 15:26Speaker 3: both in Minneapolis. Vice President j D Vance addressed the
- 15:30Speaker 3: raids at a post on x, writing, the task Force
- 15:32Speaker 3: of the DOJ will be relentless and exposing these fraudsters
- 15:36Speaker 3: wherever they may be hiding. Governor Tim Waltz, this is
- 15:42Speaker 3: you you want to talk about. Amazing, Hutspot said. The
- 15:45Speaker 3: raids were carried out by federal and state law enforcement
- 15:48Speaker 3: after state agencies quote caught irregular behavior and reported it.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Quote If you commit fraud in Minnesota, You're going to
- 15:57Speaker 3: get caught. And that's exactly what we saw today. We
- 16:01Speaker 3: catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information, join investigations, work,
- 16:06Speaker 3: and securing justice depends upon it. Now that truly is
- 16:10Speaker 3: stunning because Walt's his entire governorship has looked the other
- 16:14Speaker 3: way on massive fraud, has refused to investigate it, has
- 16:18Speaker 3: profited from it, has been elected by it, has taken
- 16:21Speaker 3: campaign donations from it. The entire Democrat machinery was built
- 16:27Speaker 3: on fraud. And now he's taking credit. That really is
- 16:31Speaker 3: like the arsonists taking credit when the firefighters turn up
- 16:35Speaker 3: and put out the fire.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And it's all because now he's not running for reelection, right,
- 16:40Speaker 1: so he can just be like, oh, we're rooting out
- 16:41Speaker 1: fraud and try to I guess rebuild his legacy. So
- 16:44Speaker 1: maybe he can have a grand comeback one day. I
- 16:46Speaker 1: don't know if that's going to work. There's one aspect
- 16:49Speaker 1: of this though center that excites me, and it's the
- 16:52Speaker 1: fact that it's clear this is the beginning, not the end,
- 16:55Speaker 1: based on what was said by the DOJ, like this
- 16:58Speaker 1: is the tip of the iceberg. We're going to the
- 17:01Speaker 1: catalyst point. And then there's been directives at all states,
- 17:05Speaker 1: including Republican led states, to start looking at waste, fraud
- 17:09Speaker 1: and abuse.
- 17:09Speaker 2: They're looking at California.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I think you're gonna see more people that are gonna
- 17:13Speaker 1: be indicted and more places that are going to be
- 17:15Speaker 1: rated outside of Minnesota. That is exactly what the American
- 17:18Speaker 1: people voted for, which was to get rid of waste,
- 17:20Speaker 1: fraud and abuse.
- 17:23Speaker 3: That is exactly right. And I will point out also
- 17:26Speaker 3: that other Blue states are coming. California is coming. I
- 17:32Speaker 3: have every reason to expect, and indeed, I've been told
- 17:34Speaker 3: by senior officials in the administration California is even worse, yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 3: than Minneapolis has been. And I want you also give
- 17:44Speaker 3: a listen to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rawlins and what she
- 17:49Speaker 3: revealed about fraud and abuse concerning SNAP. Concerning food stamps,
- 17:54Speaker 3: give a listen to to Secretary Rollins.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Yeah, this one's amazing, by the way, for context, this
- 17:59Speaker 1: is about luxury cars and how many people on food
- 18:02Speaker 1: stamps are driving like luxury cars.
- 18:04Speaker 5: It's incredible sharing.
- 18:06Speaker 8: Previously, no data was shared. We had no idea where
- 18:09Speaker 8: the taxpayer dollars were spent, just one red state. The
- 18:12Speaker 8: recent dump of data, we found SNAP recipients had more
- 18:16Speaker 8: than two thousand Tesla owners, two hundred Alpha Romeo owners,
- 18:20Speaker 8: more than one hundred and forty four that were receiving
- 18:22Speaker 8: food stamps. We're driving Porsches. Again, this is the data
- 18:26Speaker 8: dumps we're getting because that we before we had no
- 18:29Speaker 8: accountability on any of these programs. We now are requiring accountability.
- 18:34Speaker 8: The Blue states are suing us. They don't want to
- 18:36Speaker 8: share the data. And can you imagine this was a
- 18:38Speaker 8: red state where there is actually some taxpayer accountability. Imagine
- 18:43Speaker 8: what's happening in the Blue states. If that's happening in
- 18:46Speaker 8: the red.
- 18:46Speaker 2: State, well, I love that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: It's like a bunch of Tesla owners Alpha Romeo, also Porsches, Mercedes,
- 18:53Speaker 1: BMW's and you're on food stamps, like these were high
- 18:56Speaker 1: end luxury.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Care ben it's even worse. Give some additional breakdown. So
- 19:02Speaker 3: there are three hundred and six land Rovers.
- 19:05Speaker 2: They're worth cheap.
- 19:05Speaker 3: By the way, there were fifty nine Maseratis.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, there wered stamp car you know that.
- 19:14Speaker 3: There were eleven Lamborghinis. There were three Ferraris, there were
- 19:22Speaker 3: three Bentley's. These are people getting food stamps driving a
- 19:27Speaker 3: quarter million dollar or more like a Lamborghini could be
- 19:30Speaker 3: a million dollar car, depending on which one they had. Yeah,
- 19:34Speaker 3: that is an absolute abuse. And if that happened in
- 19:39Speaker 3: just one Red state that handed over its data. How
- 19:41Speaker 3: much do you think it's happening in Minnesota, How much
- 19:45Speaker 3: do you think it's happening in New York. How much
- 19:46Speaker 3: do you think it is happening in Illinois. How much
- 19:48Speaker 3: you think it's happening in California. The numbers are going
- 19:51Speaker 3: to be shopped done.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Every time they went after and got somebody there for fraud. Recently,
- 19:55Speaker 1: what were they doing. You saw them putting in a
- 19:58Speaker 1: six figure call that was being seized, and in some
- 20:02Speaker 1: of the cases there was like multiple six figure cars
- 20:05Speaker 1: that were being c center and put on flatbeds. Like, yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 1: they finally raided the house to this fraudster and look
- 20:10Speaker 1: at what they had. Like if you're on foodstamps and
- 20:12Speaker 1: you're driving a Lambeau or a Ferrari or a Maserati,
- 20:16Speaker 1: like you were defrauding the US government full stop. Former
- 20:21Speaker 1: FBI director James Comy has now been indicted by a
- 20:24Speaker 1: federal grand jury for the second time in what is
- 20:28Speaker 1: becoming one of the most politically charged legal battles in
- 20:31Speaker 1: recent memory. Now, this latest indictment was handed down in
- 20:35Speaker 1: North Carolina and its centers around a twenty twenty five
- 20:39Speaker 1: social media post a photo Comy shared showing seashells arranged
- 20:43Speaker 1: to read eighty six forty seven. Prosecutors argue that phrase
- 20:50Speaker 1: was a Now prosecutors argue that that phrase was a
- 20:54Speaker 1: clear threat against President Donald Trump because eighty six means
- 20:59Speaker 1: to get rid of and Trump is a forty seventh president.
- 21:03Speaker 1: According to the US Department of Justice, Comy is now
- 21:06Speaker 1: facing not one but two phony counts threatening the president
- 21:11Speaker 1: and transmitting a threat in interstate commerce. Here's how it
- 21:15Speaker 1: was announced on Fox News has.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Indicted former FBI director James Comy for a second time.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Justice corresponded David spot Scott the story. He's here in Washington.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Hey David, they're going to go at it again. John.
- 21:28Speaker 4: They are going at it again, not even a year
- 21:30Speaker 4: after they went at it after the first time. We're
- 21:32Speaker 4: told this via several law enforcement sources. Were told this
- 21:35Speaker 4: is related to an Instagram post from the former FBI
- 21:39Speaker 4: director last year when he posted on the beach you
- 21:41Speaker 4: may remember there was a formation of shells that said
- 21:45Speaker 4: eighty six forty seven that were in that pairing of
- 21:49Speaker 4: eighty six forty seven, and he said something along the
- 21:52Speaker 4: lines of isn't this a curious formation that I just
- 21:55Speaker 4: found while walking on the beach well. Critics to that
- 21:58Speaker 4: post immediately pointed out that eighty six, at least in
- 22:02Speaker 4: the restaurant world, means to get rid of or to
- 22:05Speaker 4: kill something from a menu. Forty seven meeting the forty
- 22:07Speaker 4: seventh President of the United States. So Komi did speak
- 22:11Speaker 4: with the Secret Service, did speak with federal investigators at
- 22:14Speaker 4: the time, he was interviewed last spring or early last summer.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Shortly after that happened, no charges were ever filed. But
- 22:22Speaker 4: now it appears that he has been indicted. Today, we're
- 22:25Speaker 4: working to learn more about the indictment. We're waiting to
- 22:29Speaker 4: see if officials have anything to say on this. That
- 22:33Speaker 4: is the post that you see right there, cool shell
- 22:35Speaker 4: formation on my beach walk from former director.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Now, this obviously is going to be very interesting, and
- 22:42Speaker 1: what's also interesting is how the media is covering it.
- 22:44Speaker 1: You heard how Fox is covering it, but listen to
- 22:46Speaker 1: the difference when CNN brought it up on their program.
- 22:49Speaker 3: We also know that.
- 22:50Speaker 9: There has been investigation ongoing down in Florida around a
- 22:55Speaker 9: broad swath of the Russia investigation many years ago, starting
- 22:59Speaker 9: back in twenty sixteen, an investigation comy had worked on.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Until Donald Trump fired him as his FBI director. Could
- 23:06Speaker 5: it be something related to that?
- 23:07Speaker 6: A lot of questions here, But this is going to
- 23:11Speaker 6: be a really interesting case moving forward because Komy had
- 23:16Speaker 6: been indicted again and had been trying to make arguments
- 23:19Speaker 6: in court the last time he faced charges in the
- 23:22Speaker 6: fall that he was being singled out for prosecution that.
- 23:25Speaker 5: It was very unfair.
- 23:26Speaker 6: You're very likely to see something like that again from
- 23:29Speaker 6: his legal team, and I did try and reach out
- 23:32Speaker 6: to them for more information.
- 23:34Speaker 5: I have nothing back at this point on that front.
- 23:36Speaker 5: We're still waiting bor us.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Now you also heard thing very interesting there from CNN.
- 23:41Speaker 1: They mentioned that there's also another investigation going on that
- 23:45Speaker 1: deals with the Russia collusion investigation. Now, this was one
- 23:50Speaker 1: of the most explosive political sagas in modern American history.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And guess what, it's not over. In fact, it's back
- 23:58Speaker 1: in the spotlight now in a major way. And you
- 24:00Speaker 1: can hear CNN is trying to get ahead of it.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And now it could also directly involve the former FBI
- 24:06Speaker 1: director James Comy. Yet again, Now let me just remind
- 24:10Speaker 1: you of how all this got started. Back in twenty sixteen,
- 24:14Speaker 1: the FBI launched what was known as Crossfire Hurricane. It
- 24:17Speaker 1: was an investigation of whether Donald Trump campaign was coordinating
- 24:22Speaker 1: with Russia. That probe ultimately led to the Special Counsel
- 24:27Speaker 1: Robert Muller's investigation, which confirmed that Russia did interfere in
- 24:31Speaker 1: the election, but did not establish a con criminal They
- 24:36Speaker 1: claimed conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. But now
- 24:41Speaker 1: we're learning that the story doesn't end with the collusion
- 24:44Speaker 1: hoax being declared a hoax. We now know that because
- 24:48Speaker 1: of the Trump administration, they're saying, we're going to see
- 24:51Speaker 1: exactly what happened here, because in twenty fifteen and into
- 24:55Speaker 1: this year, the administration has reopened scrutiny into the origins
- 25:00Speaker 1: of the Russian investigation, launching was effectively a new criminal
- 25:05Speaker 1: probe into the investigators themselves that includes looking in the
- 25:09Speaker 1: figures were being told like former CIA director John Brennan
- 25:13Speaker 1: and yes, James Comy. According to the new reports, the
- 25:17Speaker 1: FBI and the DOJ have begun examining whether Komy and
- 25:22Speaker 1: others made not only false statements, but abused intelligence authorities
- 25:28Speaker 1: and mishandled evidence during the origins of the original Russia investigation.
- 25:33Speaker 1: At the same time, we now know newly declassified documents
- 25:38Speaker 1: pushed by intelligence officials are also reigniting debate over whether
- 25:43Speaker 1: there were efforts to shape or even influence the narrative,
- 25:47Speaker 1: and that obviously is where things get complicated, and that's
- 25:51Speaker 1: why the government is looking into all of this. US
- 25:55Speaker 1: intelligence agencies concluded Russia did interfere in our e lifections,
- 26:00Speaker 1: but they did not coordinate that interference with the Trump campaign.
- 26:05Speaker 1: This is the biggest problem for James Comy and others,
- 26:09Speaker 1: and that's exactly why right now they're in now having
- 26:12Speaker 1: to answer for their decisions. Because of course it was
- 26:17Speaker 1: the FBI director James Kmy who approved the key decisions
- 26:21Speaker 1: early in the Russian investigation, and then he's the same
- 26:24Speaker 1: guy that later briefed Congress about it. He was also,
- 26:27Speaker 1: as you know, fired by President Trump in twenty seventeen,
- 26:31Speaker 1: a move that helped trigger the Moler probe in the
- 26:34Speaker 1: first place. So you fast forward to right now. Comy's
- 26:38Speaker 1: now facing multiple legal challenges, including separate indictments unrelated to Russia.
- 26:44Speaker 1: But at the same time he's also reported under scrutiny
- 26:48Speaker 1: again for his role in that original investigation. It does
- 26:53Speaker 1: mean that the chickens actually for once may be coming
- 26:57Speaker 1: home to roost. Make sure you share this podcast please
