Sliced Bread Turns 98: Chillicothe to celebrate its slice of history
The “Greatest thing since sliced bread” saying is near and dear to the town of Chillicothe, where the first commercially-sliced bread was carved out. It’s so near and dear to the northern Missouri town that residents have an annual celebration about all things sliced bread.
